2. Padded Chairs

Korean designer Jinyeong Yeon put these two observations
together and cleverly created a series of armchairs and sofas
upholstered with surplus puffer coats (courtesy of Shirter, a
South Korean fashion brand).
The padded fabrics give the chairs a warm, inviting vibe,
whilst details such as pockets and zips add a large dose of
humor and visual interest.
3. The limited-edition Canopy Collection comprises four
rocking chairs and two screens made from welded steel
frames with recycled parachute upholstery.
The simple, modernist steel structures provide a “blank
canvas” for the parachute material, allowing the textile to be
the most expressive element of each piece. The fabric has
been wrapped, slung and hung within and around the
framework to create.

4. KNOTTED CHAIR
Eliminating the distinction between craft and industry, the
‘Knotted Chair’ unites conflicting aspects, methods and
materials in order to surprise and innovate.
It is combining hand-crafted tactile design with high-tech
industrial processes, the design begins with an aramid braided
cord around a carbon fiber core that is manipulated in the
traditional technique of macramé to form the shape of the chair.

5. V.I.P. CHAIR
The V.I.P. chair was specially designed for the World Expo 2000
in Hanover.
The colorful members were the inhabitants of the spectacular
Royal Wing Room on top of the Dutch Pavilion. Now the V.I.P.
chair is a part of the Mooi collection
6. MONSTER CHAIR
The story behind the chair is derived from how wanders
foresees his death, picturing it as a dramatic ending.
It is a combination of some pain and wild music.
7. Designed by artists for humanity.
These tables are made up entirely from magazines and
other waste materials. They are covered with an eco-
friendly resin that prevents water from entering the
framework of the furniture item.

of Buenos Aires.
Conceptualized and designed by Maria Constanza Nunez and Gabriel
Pires Mateus of Argentina, this design is called Gruba.
Roller Blinds are a material that is disposed off in large quantities.
These are recycled and used to make furniture for homes.

10. Designed by Claire Danthois
It is named such because the range has been created from
discarded furniture. He uses reclaimed timber and cable to
assemble this lovely looking piece of furniture.
To keep the range eco-friendly, Danthois hasn’t used grease
paints at all.
Reincarnated chairs
11. This surprising collection makes use of wine corks for the
construction of chairs. Corks have been recycled into a variety
of products.
The brain child of Gabriel Wiese, the corks has been arranged
so that they still keep their original shape intact, while faithfully
following the lines and curves of the chairs.

scrapped pieces of Corian have found their way into these
lovely examples of angular furniture.
Made from discarded stones, wood or metal. Plus, they are
increasingly gaining popularity due to their unique shape and
contemporary take on furniture.

handmade cabinets and reclaimed bank raj wood.
It is a perfect combination of classic traditional
with contemporary style and construction.
