Over the last four years, I ve gone to over thirty concerts for artists whose genres
range from pop, rap, and alternative. Since I m experienced with them, I m aware of
the different price ranges and the stage performances. After my first concert, I
started working so that I could afford to have concerts as a hobby. Even though I
have gone to many different types of concerts, like pop, rap, and alternative, my
favorite kind to experience are alternative concerts.
My first concert was also my first time seeing a pop band. Every teenager loved One
Direction, including me, and dreamed of seeing them live one day. This
experience meant a lot to me since it was a band that I had loved for a very long
time. The tickets were a gift from my mother, Melissa, and I went with my sister,
Melisvette. During that, I realized how happy concerts made me and got a job so
that I could continue experiencing moments like these. What I didn t want to
experience, though, was the price it was to go to pop concerts.
I wasn t worried about the price of tickets until I started paying for them myself. As
a kid, I didn t contemplate the cost since my mother bought them as a present, but
then I started to realize how ludicrous the prices could be. At the time, I was really
into popular bands and artist, so the concerts were always expensive. I bought tickets
to see popular artists like Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony, and Twenty One Pilots, twice.
These were the ones I spent the most money on and the seating was just not worth it.
In 2014, I traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, to go to a Demi Lovato concert. This was
the second pop concert I ve been to and the first time I traveled a few hours for a
concert. At the time, I was still new to concerts, but I started to see a theme with
pop concerts. They were always the most expensive compared to others and the

Transport through the Middle Passage was a time of immense misery, suffering, and
death for the millions of Africans who experienced it between the 1600s and 1800s.
After arriving to Africa from Europe, slave traders violently kidnapped or bought
African men, women, and children, for iron, cloths, and firearms. The Africans, most
of whom were taken from Upper Guinea, Sierra Leone, Angola, the Gold Coast,
which is now the nation of Ghana, and other West African countries knew nothing of
their fate, leading some to commit suicide and starve themselves on the slave ships.
Though there was a heavy loss of life during transport and upon arrival to the
Americas and the Caribbean, at least 12 million Africans endured deadly conditions
and began what is now called the African Diaspora. The Middle Passage had a great
influence on many aspects of African culture due to the shared sense of pain and
struggle that united the slaves and due to the ways they responded to oppression in
the New World. Conditions of the Middle Passage contributed to the carving out of
new cultural systems in New World slave plantation societies and resistance to slavery
led to a retention of African cultures in many Caribbean countries that is still evident

Analysis Of A Harbor In Moonlight
Claude Joseph Vernet is a very largely known French artist from the early 1700 s.
He has been known to be one of the best landscape painters of all time. Vernet paints
from a different perspective than many artists and his art leaves a lasting impact on
viewers minds. Many of his paintings are famous including A Harbor in Moonlight
which is located at the St. Louis Art Museum.
A Harbor in Moonlight stood out as a very interesting piece. What initially caught
my eye was the different lighting and shades of every color in this painting. My
first reaction was a sense of calmness and relief. There are many reasons that I got
the initial first feelings that I did. The biggest reason is the arrangements of
lighting. Vernet does a good job of incorporating lighting into every part of this
piece. I feel that the lighting plays the biggest role in this artwork because without it,
it is very dull and dark. The result of a dull and dark painting would not be anywhere
near the same result as the lighting.
It almost seems like the lighting is meant to say something or symbolize something.
Just by looking at it, each light has a different role and level of importance in the
picture. The main sources of light that stood out to me were the fire, moon,
lighthouse, and even the reflection of light on the surface of the water. All of them

Title Some fairy tales end with a happy marriage to a wealthy person and living a
life on a bed full of roses. An example can be found in Beauty and the Beast. There
is a young girl and her father is a merchant. She ends up marrying the Beast, who

fairy tales that are a little different. The first one is Thumbelina. She goes through

doctor who attempts to save the lives of patients with brain tumors by using his own
alternative methods. In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein, the author writes about Victor
and his creature s attempts to expand science, and answer moral questions concerning
life and death. Regarding the substance of the article, Neurosurgeon Dr. Paul
Muizelaar and his controversial treatment of three patients suffering from terminal
braincancer engenders serious ethical debate. On one hand, Muizelaar epitomizes a
man of brilliance and ingenuity, driven by the desire to correct his patients otherwise
hopeless situations. On the other hand, a man filled with hubris who discounted the
risks in his pursuit of success. Given the evidence present in the text of Frankenstein,
Mary Shelley would contend that Muizelaar s actions were innovative and driven

Gender roles play a huge part in society. Gender plays a role in shaping an
individuals identify and beliefs. It also helps identify what is masculine and what is
feminine. Certain tasks, duties, and jobs are classified by gender. However, gender
appropriate behavior should not be enforced in our society for numerous reasons and
can be seen on an individual level and be demonstrated by social learning theory and
