102 Minutes that Change America
102 Minutes that Change America
A moment may change everything to evil or good in our life and community.
Some events occurred may have affects in several ways. September 11, 2001 was a historic day in
the United States. Four airplanes were hijacked by terrorists. The first one crashed into the
Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The second plane was stopped by passengers. The two of them
crashed the biggest towers in the U.S which are the World Trade Centerin New York. On that day
3,000 people died. These occasions changed American s economy, American culture and the
relationship with other countries.
First, the economy in the United State was affected after 9/11 especially New York and Virginia.

For example, when I came to New York 5 years ago the securities were very strict with Arabic
travelers. They were using dogs and hand searches to inspect travelers. Also, I sat for almost 6
hours to pass the immigration line. They were asking me questions about the reasons for why I
came to the United States. However, I did not speak English, so, I asked them if they had a
translator or my husband may help me to answer questions but they did not accept that.
Third, after the September 11 attack, the relationship has undergone some profound changes
between America and other countries especially with Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Political people in Saudi Arabia did not accept what happened in the United States and other
countries have been exposed to violence. In addition, people a treatment became very rude with
Muslims because they thought Muslims are agree with American s situation. For example, my
uncle came with his family in 2003; they faced a lot of problems with American people. Also,
while his wife was wearing Islamic dress, she got a lot of harassments from citizens. So, they
could not stay more than one week then they decided to travel to Canada to complete their
vacation. In my experience, sometimes old people called terrorist because I wearing Islamic
costume. However, after 911 Muslim people did many important things for American people. Also,

Khaleesi Portray Gender Role In Game Of Thrones . Is It
Khaleesi portray gender role in Game of Thrones
Is it frustrating to be in a position where you want your voice to be heard, and want to lead
certain people or group, but someone tells you it s a man s job to do that? According to Webster
Dictionary, gender role is the overt expression of attitudes that indicate to others the degree of your
maleness or femaleness. Since the beginning of time, gender role has been present in the society,
humans especially have been expected to perform in many ways in regards to their gender. For
example, women have been expected to be domesticated, homely and less active in political,
social and economic power. Adam in the Bible was seen as the head, the leader while Eve was
expected to be subservient. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore being a ruler is challenging for Khaleesi because she has to face opposition from the
males. For example, when she was captured by the Dothraki s khal and they were supposed to
judge her to see whether she can stay with the khla widows in the Dothraki city. Basically,
instead of judging her, they were harassing her and talking about her sexuality, so she stood up
for herself and burned the khal and his blood riders. This example shows that Khaleesi places
herself over the men when they consider her as low. This also relates to how society considers
women to be at a lower status than men because men are the leaders and the women have to do
whatever they say. Khaleesi has broken the societal norms and she is showing how powerful
women can be by standing up for themselves in a male dominated society. Gender role has been
stereotyped because the society set standards for the men and women to follow, but the standards
that are set for men and women are not equal. Based on the journal article on Taking on power:
Women leaders in evangelical mission organization, women are socialized to be nurturing,

Justness Of Corporal Punishment
Since the ancient human times, corporal punishment has been one of the most popular methods
parents have used on enforcing their tutelage onto their children. Corporal punishment is defined as
the physical punishment that parents use on their children to enforce rules. The act is seen as
something of the past in 48 countries around the world, but for Canada. This is because they still
have not resolved it in their legal systems, for Canada this law being the infamous Section 43. Even
though it was implemented for the protection of parents and teachers from prosecution because of
minor disciplining, it really is an excuse for violence against children. In this generation, the
justness and effectiveness of corporal punishmenthave come into question, which is what this
writing piece aims to further delve into.
While anthropology may not be the most obvious study connected to corporal punishment, the two
topics are more related than most people think. As humans, we have a sense of morals and values,
and the understanding of our culture s changes is vital to understanding our shift in values. From an
anthropological point of view, corporal punishment would be focused on what caused humanity s
shift in values when it came to the justness of corporal punishment? . Based on the evidence, the
answer to this would be if humanity has a recent change in values when it comes to corporal
punishment, then it is because of the recent boost of awareness different cultures have gained in

Get-A-Move On Case
A contact of insurance is between two parties, the insured and the insurer. On application the
insurer is to provide an application of full disclosure to the determine the eligibility of the applicant,
in not providing an application of full disclosure the insurance can be acknowledged as over the
counter insurance The part of the insured is to submit any information that could possibly lead to
the insurer to repudiate liability of the insurance.
This essay is going to argue to whether Get a Move on was prepared to underwrite the risk of the
insured without full disclosure and whether the defendant, Mick, answered no fraudently to the
issue of material risk.
To repudiate liability of the insured can only come about by the breach of the contract. From
reading one can see that Get a Move on did not provide the defendant with an application of full
disclosure but actually agreed to move the defendants good without even the mention of the
insurance . However on the day of the delivery, Mick was reproached by the ... Show more content

Is Michael Jordan the G.O.A.T?
Is Michael Jordan the Greatest of all Time, I think so and if you don t you should. Michael Jordan
went to College at North Carolina for three years, and was one of the best or probably the best
player in college basketball. During that time in college Jordan carried the Tar Heels to the 1982
NCAA Championship, and earned College Player of the Year in 1984. Jordan averaged 17.7 points
per game in the three season before he thought he was ready for the National Basketball Association

In the first round of the playoffs the Bulls lost to the Celtics. Even though Michael was injured he
was still voted to the NBA All Star game but could not play because of his injury. Now what do
you think, you should think Michael Jordan is the G.O.A.T because Kobe again lost in the off
season to the Utah Jazz in four games with Shaq, also Lebron didn t even make the playoffs. In
1887 the Bulls acquired Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant 2 very young talented rookies to help
Jordan, this season Michael made it past the first round of the playoffs beating the Cavaliers in 5
games but then ended up getting bested by the Detroit Pistons in 5 games. Jordan took home
every major honor, he won his first Most Valuable Player, first Defensive Player of the Year, was
voted for the All NBA First Team, The All Star game Most Valuable Player, and the NBA Slam
Dunk Contest winner. This was Jordan s first amazing explosive season where he started
becoming the G.O.A.T. 1988 89 season Jordan was again the NBA s leading scorer and this
time the Bulls made it to to Conference Finals for the 3rd time ever. In the First round of the
playoffs Chicago beat the Cavaliers in 5 games, in the second round they beat the Knicks and
advanced to the Finals against the Detroit Pistons where they were bested in 5 games. In 1989 90

Climate change is occurring across the globe and particularly in the Southwest region of the United
States of America. The Southwest has a long history of warm temperatures and drought, yet the
climate is currently changing like never before. This research paper will identify various case
studies of Arizona tribes being threatened due to climate change s effects of rising temperature and
drought. Rising temperatures as well as drought will continue to result in an increase in the melt of
snowpack, reduced water sources, and changes in the ecosystem for various Arizona tribes.
Additionally, the paper will address various solutions to these threats. The effects of climate change
will threaten the livelihoods of tribal communities in Arizona and... Show more content on

Certain models predict that drought activity is expected to increase toward the end of the 21st
century and particularly in the Colorado River Basin (MacDonald Turner, 21260). When the
dam was built in the early 20th century, annual flow was about 17.0 MAF (million acre feet) at
Lees Ferry, Arizona which is a few miles below the dam. Estimates calculating the past MAF of
the Colorado River average to about 13.8 14.6 over the last 450 years. Thus, the dam was built
in a period with an unexpectedly high MAF. Alarmingly in 2000 the river averaged less than 9
MAF. (Bolin, Seetharam, Pompeii, 263). In 2002, the river reached a low of about 6.2 MAF
(MacDonald Turner, 21256). Some models estimate that the river could reach the range of 1.5
to 4.5 MAF in the next 30 50 years. (Bolin, Seetharam, Pompeii, 271). The reduction of MAF in
the Colorado River is due to drought. Droughts have been occurring throughout the 20th century
with droughts from 1900 1904, 1924 1936, 1953 1964, and 1988 1991. These droughts are
associated with warmer regional temperatures and the level of warming is deemed exceptional for
the 21st century (MacDonald Turner, 21257). Recently the Colorado River has experienced the
lowest 5 year mean flows on record (MacDonald Turner, 21257). If river flow is low, so is Lake
Powell s water level. One study suggests that Lake Powell have a 50% chance of receding to
inoperable status by the 2020 s

Spruce Goose Research Paper
When you think of aircraft, most likely you think of jets, helicopters, and maybe UFOs. The
history of flight has produced many varied designs because people did not know how to fly and
there were numerous ideas on how to make flight work. We are used to seeing jets and
helicopters now, but in the beginning, there were a variety of prototypes based on the needs at the
time. There has actually been fierce competition during the invention phases of planes. One thing
that you will notice is that the Hughes H4 Hercules, or Spruce Goose, as it was commonly
known, is not included here. That is not to say that it was not an amazine aircraft with an
interesting history, and its story is actually similar to many described here. However, the ones

It is said that following a visit to the Oracle of Delphi he spent much of his life questioning
anyone in Athens who would engage him, in order to disprove the oracular prophecy that there
would be no man wiser than Socrates. Through these live dialogues, he examined common but
critical concepts that lacked clear or concrete definitions, such as beauty and truth, and the virtues
of piety, wisdom, temperance, courage, and justice. Socrates awareness of his own ignorance
allowed him to discover his errors as well as the errors of those who claimed knowledge based
upon falsifiable or unclear precepts and beliefs. He wrote nothing, but inspired many disciples,
including many sons of prominent Athenian citizens (including Plato), which led to his trial and
executionin 399 B.C. on the charge that his philosophy and sophistry were undermining the youth,
piety, and moral fiber of the city. He was offered a chance to flee from his fate but chose to remain
in Athens, abide by his principles, and drink the poison hemlock.
Socrates most important student was Plato, who founded the Academy of Athens and wrote a
number of dialogues, which applied theSocratic method of inquiry to examine philosophical
problems. Some central ideas of Plato s dialogues are the Theory of Forms, i.e., that the mind is
imbued with an innate capacity to understand and contemplate concepts from a higher order
preeminent world, concepts more real, permanent, and universal than or representative of the things

Pericles Plague
Objective
My objective is to explain how the devastating plague that struck Athens and killed Pericles in the
beginning stages of the Peloponnesian War was one circumstance that led to the end of the
Athenian Golden Age.
The discussion
The plague caught Athens off guard, for the navy was well armed and prepared, the citizens were
all safely barracked up inside the city walls, however, one thing that even Pericles himself was not
prepared for, that was a brutal attack to their health. In my view the plague was a silent killer,
almost 1/3 of the Athenian population died in the summer of 430 BCE according to Thucydides
accounts ( Thucydides on the Plague, n.d., p. 1). Pericles died only two years into the war which

How Did Queen Victoria Influence Society
Queen Alexandrina Victoria of England (reigned June 20,1837 January 22,1901) was known as a
queen that loved her people, wanted to better her country in many ways, tried to influence both
foreign and domestic policies, and helped protect the principles of the parliament and free trade.
Queen Victoria married Prince Albert of Saxe Coburg Gotha in 1840, three years after her rise to
the throne in 1837. Queen Victoria had nine children with Prince Albert in eighteen years, and they
ruled the British Empiretogether until Prince Albert s death in 1861 and Queen Victoria s death in
1901. During Queen Victoria s reign, many political events came to pass, including the Chartist
movement, the Great Exhibition, and the Crimean War. Queen Victoria ruled the British Empire for
sixty three years, and was a beloved queen that helped her empire grow and become a nation that
ruled the world, encompassing approximately one quarter of the world s landmass. During her
reign, there was much industrial, political, trade,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Why I Want To Pursue A Master Of Science Degree
Education is not preparation for life; Education is life for itself.
These are the words of John Dewey, which have led an everlasting impression on my mind. It
relates to the idea of lifelong learning, and the knowledge that education is much more than what
lies within the curriculum. Whenever I pause by to reflect on my ken of knowledge, I feel that how
little I have learnt and that an enormous, unknown and fascinating wealth of knowledge lies before
me, yet to be explored. Education is like an edifice based on strong rudiments and strengthened by
the fundamentals and practical skills acquired during one s lifetime. So my main goal is to design
the next generation innovations in field rather than being just a user of existing technologies and
findings. So I intend to pursue Master of Science degree in Automotive software Engineering at
your university as the first step towards obtaining a PHD.
Nothing is Impossible in Life has always been a motivating force behind all my achievements. I
strongly believe that enjoy what we do and having the passion to pursue, we can ultimately achieve
our destination, no matter how much efforts are needed. My inherent urge and interest to pursue
engineering emanates from an instinctive inclination for Physics and Mathematics since my
schooling. From early childhood, I was very captivated with electronic appliances around me. I
would ask my parents about their principle of working. I always tried to find out what basic

Alzheimer s disease (AD) is a form of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking, and
behavior. AD typically involves the development of a progressive neuropsychiatric disorder that
is characterized by gradual memory impairment, loss of acquired skills and emotional
disturbances (Lee, Y. J., Han, S. B., Nam, S. Y., Oh, K. W., Hong, J. T.). Every 67 seconds an

2010). The neuroinflammation is an early, non specific immune reaction to tissue damage or
pathogen invasion (Lee et al. 2010). Inflammation of the central nervous system (CNS) is
characterized by increased glial activation, pro inflammatory cytokine concentration, blood brain
barrier permeability, and leukocyte invasion (Lee et al. 2010). Microglia are cells that support and
protect neuronal functions (Lee at al. 2010). They act as the first and main form of active immune
defense that orchestrate the endogenous immune response of the Central Nervous System. The
microglia play a central role in the cellular response to pathological lesions such as AОІ. AОІ can
attract and activate microglia, leading to clustering of microglia around AОІ deposits sites in the
brain (Lee et al. 2010). Even though microglia have neuroprotective functions, neurotoxic
mechanisms which involves continuous activation of microglia and toxic factors are released by
microglia, which may lead to neuroinflammation (Lee et al. 2010). Astrocytes (star shaped glial
cells) are the most abundant cells in the brain and are located in the brain and spinal. Astrocytes
have various functions such as: biochemical support of endothelial cells of the BBB, supplying
nutrients to the nervous tissue, maintenance of extracellular ion balance, and healing the brain and
spinal cord following traumatic injury (Lee et al., 2010). Chemokines are released by astrocytes
which attract microglia and they further express proinflammatory products, thus increasing
neuronal damage in the pathogenesis of AD (Lee et al., 2010). Astrocytes play a critical role in
AГџ clearance and degradation, and they also provide trophic support to neurons forming a
protective barrier between AГџ deposits and neurons (Wyss Coray et al., 2003). Neurons contribute

Charles Dickens Hard Times For These Times
Fancy is a noun. It means the power of the mind to imagine things. Do not think about it; do not
think about thinking about it. Just memorize it. Can you? There is only one right path that
society has pinned you on. Like a toy car on a wooden train track, you are expected to complete
the course without straying from it. If you do, you are considered broken. Yet, what exactly is the
point of mindlessly walking the same path as everyone else, only to constantly find yourself
memorizing empty facts over and over again? In Hard Timesfor these Times, Charles Dickens
embodies the consequences of an absolutely factual world: blindness, imbalance, and
nonfulfillment. Through the convoluted stories of the opposite worlds, Sissy s journey to
becoming a jewel of balance, Louisa s tragic fight for fulfillment, and the harmonious character
Sleary, Dickens defines the urgency for the proportional combination of fact and fancy.
Gradgrind s education system is structured to plucking imagination and emotions out of the lives
of children, resulting in dangerous, machine like human beings. He closed mindedly abides to
rules and facts; dreams and abstractness is a crime. For example, Bounderby, Gradgrind s
subordinate, insists that his workers expect to be fed on turtle soup and vension, with a golden
spoon (72), while on the other hand, the workers believe that they are unfairly treated like dumb
objects. Both Bounderby and the workers think their opinion is the fact, but it shrivels

To what extent is the prime minister first among equals?
This essay will compare the prime ministerial styles of Thatcher and Blair and compare presidential
styles to collective cabinet government. It explains what can happen when a prime minister has too
much power and is more than just first among equals. It concludes that in recent years the prime
minster has exerted too much power and is ignoring his cabinet.
By the 1830s the Westminster system of what we now as cabinet government emerged. The head of
the government is the prime minister. Leech et al define the prime minister as: A head of
government whose power normally derives in Britain from leadership of the largest party in the
legislature, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mo Mowlem and Clare Short were secretly annoyed and frustrated about cabinet meetings and
discussions and also the allowance of a spin doctors to attend cabinet meetings (Heffernan, 2006
as cited in Casey 2009). Short later stated there was no collective just diktats (BBC News Online,
2003). Weller (2003) argued this led to questions as to where government fitted in within
Thatcher and Blair s respective times in power. Weller (2003) further stated Thatcher did not
want a cabinet by committee but government by her with selected ministers. Coxell et al (1997)
give an example of Thatcher s power when she ignored the advice from the top military advisors
and chose to deploy troops to the Falklands. Furthermore, in 1986 she allowed the USA to use
British military bases to bomb Libya, it later emerged the defence secretary of the time George
Younger and the cabinet had no knowledge of this arrangement with the USA.
At present we have a coalition government in power. Leech et al state that in practice prime
ministerial power may vary based on the individual prime minister who has the ability to exploit
his cabinet (pp.201 205). This can clearly be seen in our current coalition government. Cameron
does not have the political power to exploit his government as he needs to please his party.
However, in Cameron s case this also includes the party which he is in coalition with. Therefore, the
prime minister has to include others

Jimmy Santiago Baca s life, he shows us how by explaining the emotions when Baca began to read
poetry; he then went on to write poetry and even publish his own works while still in prison, after
Baca s release, he became a dedicated teacher who also works with gangmembers and teaches

circumstances that were Baca s life. All circumstances considered into his young adulthood Baca
could hardly read nor write and truly had no desire to learn; Which makes it even more spectacular
that he found poetry. His interest began at twenty one when Baca was in prison, sentenced to
possibly five to ten years. A couple years passed and a church program had extended a relationship
via a letter they sent, they targeted prisoners without families. Unbeknownst Baca learned through
steady communication with the church how to read and write. The writinggave him something to
do and in a sense a purpose. Shortly into their connection, the man from the church introduced to a
friend who was a poet. After this moment Baca s life would never be the same. I believe

The Light In the Forest Essay
It is the fall of 1764, and the relations between white settlers of western Pennsylvania and Indians
of the Ohio area are strained. Nevertheless, the ambitious white Colonel Bouquet and his troop of
1,500 men march into Indian country and demand the return of whites who have been
kidnapped by the Delaware Indians. True Son, a fifteen year old white boy who has been raised
by Indians since the age of four, is one of the white prisoners who is going to be returned. True

To True Son, white civilization seems like a prison compared to the free and natural world of the
Indians. Del, however, sees the stone houses and fences as symbols of the superior white culture.
When True Son is introduced to his white father, Harry Butler, he is repulsed by him and states that
the man is not his father. In order to help translate for the Butlers and protect them from the
potentially violent True Son, Del stays with the Butlers for a little while after True Son s return.
True Son, Del, and Harry Butler travel back to Paxton township where True Son meets more of his
family: his mother, Myra, who is sickly; his younger brother, Gordie; and his Aunt Kate. Myra
tries to get True Son to communicate with her and say his real name, John Cameron Butler, but
True Son is stubborn and refuses to acknowledge that the Butlers are his real family. The only
person who does not see True Son s Indian ways as strange and upsetting is Gordie, and a
relationship begins to form between the two boys. True Son cannot sleep the night of his return
because he remembers the story his Indian father told him about the quot;Paxton boys, quot; a group
of white settlers who brutally murdered some peaceful Conestoga Indians. The next day True Son
meets more of his relatives, including his Uncle Wilse, who was a leader of the Paxton boys.

state, you will have a better idea of your ability to provide for your family after your death.
Other Changes
It is important to remember that a will or an estate plan is a living document which is meant to
change as your life changes, and there are numerous circumstances which would justify changing
or updating a will. For example, if the testator moves out of state, or has a change of heart about a
certain gift, the will should be updated to reflect that. Or, an unexpected development may require
the testator to completely restructure the estate. For instance, a child born with special needs or a
disability could justify the creation of a special needs trust meant to provide a lifetime of care.

The Cross And The Lynching Tree Chapter Summary
The Cross and the Lynching Tree, written by James Cone, is an emotionally charged book that
criticizes the church and the black community within America. The first words of chapter one, they
put him to death by hanging him on the tree, [ ] have a strong first impression to the reader,
immediately stating the issue at hand. The act of lynching began throughout the Roman Empire
for rebels and insurrectionists where it became a public spectacle and humiliation. It was said in
Deuteronomy 21:23, this is punishment of being hung from a tree that was seen as a curse from
God. [ ] The first paradox symbol within the book is presented here where the cross brings forth the
idea that hope derives from defeat where then suffering and death is not the last thing. However, the

of Him dying on the cross and the lynching of five thousand African American individuals have a
great difference in American theology where those who committed the acts within the states did not

Research Study On Mesenchymal Stem Cells
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are fibroblast like structural cells that are found in bone marrow,
skeletal muscle, and other connective tissues. MSC derived from bone marrow (BM) have been

including bone forming osteoblasts, fat storing adipocytes, and neurons. Another trait exhibited

What is autorotation?
Autorotation is a condition where the main rotor is allowed to spin faster than the engine driving it.
How is that achieved? It is actually quite simple.
All helicopters are fitted with a free wheeling unit between the engine and the main rotor, usually in
the transmission. This free wheeling unit can come in different forms but one of the most popular
is the sprag clutch. The free wheeling unit will allow the engine to drive the rotors but not allow
the rotors to turn the engine. When the engine/s fail the main rotor will still have a considerable
amount of inertia and will still want to turn under its own force and through the aerodynamic force
of the air through which it is flying. The free wheeling unit is designed in such a way to allow
the main rotor to now rotate of its own free will regardless of engine speed. This principle is the
same reason that if you are in your car and you push your clutch in, or put it into neutral while the
car is still moving, the car will coast along under it s own force. This occurs regardless of what you
do to the accelerator pedal.
Controlled Descent ? The next question you are probably asking yourself is: Does the pilot retain
control of the helicopter? The answer is yes. The pilot will still have complete control of his
descent and his flight controls. The majority of helicopters are

The Brothers Grimm Essay
Fairy tales have been passed down from generation to generation, each person in one way or
another altering the tale to reflect a piece of their life in the work . The Brothers Grimm wrote
hundreds of fairy tales in their life time and in these works they used their childhood experiences
as reference. Because of the hardships they faced growing up their tales take on a more gruesome
approach to fairy tales. Because their mother was their only caregiver growing up, Jacob and
Wilhelm Grimm reflect their fondness towards her through the strong willed, independent female
characters in their fairy tales. Female heroines are rarely seen in modern day fairy tales, but as a

A true hero in the eyes of Jacob and Wilhelm, their mother single handedly overcame opposition
in their family, just as their sister did growing up with five brothers. (Grimm, 11) The sentiment
of being abandoned as children unlocked a new territory of potential as their creative juices
began to surge. Child abandonment is a many faceted concept within myth, folktale, and
literature, and the Brothers Grimm explored this concept in great detail (Garry, 3). As they began
to express themselves through literature, male figures, such as fathers, were often dismissed as
the females stole the spotlight in their fairy tales. Some modern psychologists have argued that
[their] harsh family background influenced the ways the Brothers Grimm interpret and present
their tales (Grimm, 15). Without a prominent male figure growing up, they only had their
mother to look up to and to idealize as the strong willed individual who never gave up despite all
the privation send her way. The Brothers Grimm incorporate their own perspectives to generally
recognized fairy tales, often adding a twist and a more callous feel to them. They first started their
collection of fairy tales in 1806 by writing down those that they had previously heard from the
females in their neighborhood while growing up. This serves as another female sway on their fairy

Stereotypes In Dungeons And Dragons
Dungeons and Dragons is a role playing game that requires time, patience, and a relatively good
imagination. Society has grown up with this game for several decades and yet the majority has no

Some players like the imagination the game requires and using the power of their mind to create
a fantasy world where they can start and end wars, create civilizations, battle monsters, and trek
on an epic adventure. Not only is the game based on the creativity of the player, but structure is a
key element just like it is in the human language or in music. For example, a young man who has
played soccer and enjoyed the sport for most of his life may find a liking to the structure of the
game and creating his own ideas in context. Another likely aspect to admire is the social
requirement; you cannot play this game alone. It requires at least two people, but most parties

Privatization, the Best Option for Social Security Reform...
Many are skeptical about the future of Social Security and are worried they will not receive the
full pay out of benefits in the future. In the following pages I will state the reasons why Social
Security is in need of reform, describe privatization and the pros and cons, and why privatization is
the best option for Social Securityreform. Current problems with the Social Security fund exist,
and are the reasons why Social Security is in the need of reform. According to Forbes Magazine,
the fund is expected to run out by 2033 (Teal 2013). At this point, money will still be coming in,
but will not pay out the full benefits to recipients. The worker to retiree ratio is continuously
declining, being approximately three workers to every... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This started the idea of having ownership over a private account that was personally controlled.
Account holders were directly receiving the money they invested in Social Security, and have the
option to spend the money as they see fit. Many pros and cons arise with this option of Social
Security reform. With other options the government takes the risk, but with privatization it is a
personal risk. When account holders reach retirement they are able to withdraw from the account
and use the money as they see fit. Government does not control the amount or what the account
holders use the money for, leaving recipients with the choice to spend as much of the money as
they wish and as quickly as they want. With no control over the usage of savings, this defeats the
purpose of Social Security as a safety net . The biggest downfall to this reform is the transition
period. Not only would the transition be a high cost, but those that are closest to retirement could be
left with smaller savings in their private account. If young workers create private accounts then they
are not supporting current retirees, and they are not receiving what they should be (Mitchell 2011).
Another concern is that not all recipients will end up with a fair amount of earnings in their
account. Such

The Dead By James Joyce Meaning
After reading The Dead by James Joyce, I came to the conclusion that the title of the short story
has a very deep meaning, both literally and figuratively. The reason for which I believe the title
has a literal meaning is that the author briefly mentions about some secondary characters, who
in one way or another, are part of the story but are no longer alive. Some of these characters are
the following: Pat Morkan (Brother of Kate and Julia), Ellen Morkan Conroy (Mother of
Gabriel), T.J Conroy (Member of the Dublin Port and Docks Board, and Father of Gabriel), Patrick
Morkan (Owner of a starch mill, and Father of Kate and Julia), and, especially, Michael Furey
(Gretta s first lover who died for the love of her). At the same time, I consider

Persuasive Essay On Oak Doors
Why You Should Choose Oak Doors
When it comes to doors, both internal or external, oak is the best option. Oak doors provide
optimal levels of security, privacy, insulation, and elegance. They are the best way to balance
functionality and beauty.
Security and Privacy
External oak doors provide high levels of security and privacy. They keep intruders out and
maintain your family s privacy. Oak doors are known for providing security because of how solid
they are, making it difficult for intruders to enter your home.
Additionally, they help keep your home private because the wood material is non transparent and
even when combined with glass, the glass is usually glazed. For optimum security and privacy
from outsiders, oak doors are your go to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Oak doors are also highly energy efficiency because they provide excellent insulation. External oak
doors help keep your interior temperature stable, which can help reduce energy bills. The benefits
are also true for internal oak doors, which are designed to help keep individual rooms properly
insulated. Insulation is particularly important in the UK to help cope with weather conditions.
The insulation provided by oak doors is not limited to temperature. Oak doors provide insulation
that also reduces noise, which is a major benefit. Noise can cause stress and create a tense
environment. Fortunately, oak doors keep all noise at a minimum, whether it s from outside or
inside. On days you need peace and relaxation, you will be most grateful for the quietness oak
doors can provide.
Elegance and Style
Compared to other doors, oak doors offer a sense of elegance and style. They are remarkably
exquisite and superiorly crafted. Since doors are a piece of decor and compliment the theme of
your home, their style and finish matter. Oak doors are timeless beauties, making your home come
alive. External and internal oak doors can completely transform and revitalize your home. Both
traditional and contemporary oak doors are available online and easy to

The Victorian Century Woman And A Victorian Woman Essay
What is the difference between a 21st century woman and a Victorian woman? Most women in the
21st century are exhilarating, lively, intelligent, passionate, and full of life, but who is to say that
Victorian women were not? It is said that the typical Victorian woman must have inherent qualities
of femininity [such as:] emotion, passivity, submission, dependence, and selflessness (Historical).
Most of the Victorian women abode by these social standards and therefore could not speak their
true thoughts or emotions. This is because they were dominated by their sexuality, and were
expected to fall silently into the social mold crafted by men, since they were regarded as irrational,
sensitive, and dutiful (Historical). A famous writer from that era, Charlotte Bronte, defied these
social standards by creating characters and explaining, through them, her own thoughts and beliefs.
The protagonist, Jane Eyre, was created to exemplify Bronte s powerful emotions that would have
been looked down upon in society. In Charlotte Bronte s Victorian novel, Jane Eyre, Bronte uses
constant description of fire to symbolize Jane s emotions and her thoughts that could not have been
expressed aloud. Bronte also uses fire to demonstrate the emotional aspect of Jane s personal
development throughout the novel. Overall, Bronte creates this symbol of fire to defy the social
standards of typical and suppressed Victorian women by demonstrating their true passion and
exuberant emotions.

Women Entrepreneurs And Social Incubators
CHAPTER 2
LITERATURE REVIEW
In this chapter literature on women entrepreneurs and social incubators is discussed. It also
explains the conceptual framework and conceptual map of the study..
2.1 Concept of Women Entrepreneur
Women or a group of women who initiate, organize and operates a business enterprise is defined as
Women Entrepreneurs . The Government of India has defined women entrepreneurs as an
enterprise owned and controlled by women having a minimum financial interest of 51 per cent of
the capital and giving at least 51 per cent of the employment generated in the enterprise to women.
Women Entrepreneur is a person who accepts challenging role to meet her personal needs and
become economically independent (Meenu Goyal and Jai Prakash, 2011, pp. [Gibve the page
number.]). In India, these entrepreneurs are part of the larger sustainable development strategy
employed by the policymakers. Evidence shows that Women entrepreneurship has already
contributed to the economic growth across the world and women led enterprises are increasing in
every country. These enterprises also created a large number of job opportunities in their respective
economies. Apart from this, these enterprises also created new business solutions for the pressing
social problems.Further in whole enterprises scenario, number of enterprises owned by women is
very less compared to men. Government of India has implemented various schemes for
development of such enterprises but impact is yet to be

Why Is Clonmacnoise A Cross
Clonmacnoise is one of the most important medieval ecclesiastical sites of Ireland, located in the
county of Offaly, between Meath and Connacht. Back to its time of grandeur around the ninth and
twelfth century, that place was one of the main crossroads. Besides, this complex is also known
for its high crosses. Although Clonmacnoise grew to full splendor for centuries, it decayed due to
historic events. This essay is briefly focused on its archaeological and historical background,
paying special attention to the high crosses. History The translation for Clonmacnoise would be
the meadow of the sons of Nos . Founded as a single church in the sixth century by St Ciaran, it
became an important place of learning not only in Ireland but in Europe... Show more content on

As of today, there are still on some parts of Clonmacnoise: a great stone church, other buildings,
three high crosses, two round towers, a Romanesque sculpture and grave slabs. The high crosses
were generally built in Ireland around the eighth century and the tenth century. They were a
representation of the monastic civilization. These high crosses reached their finest form at
Clonmacnoise. According to Flower (1954), the high crosses could be divided into two groups.
One of them, named as Leinster group, had crosses made of granite. The other is known as the
Ulster group. On the other hand, Françoise Henry proposed at the same time that the high crosses
could be chronologically divided into three groups: crosses from the ninth century, from the tenth
century and from the twelfth century. Their height reached four metres or even more. They have
the shape of Latin crosses, with their base as a truncated pyramid. Their function is still being
pondered, although there are some suggestions for it. One of them explains that while some crosses
might have indicated the entrance to some of the buildings, others could have been either marks for
boundaries or for

Jesus, The Son Of Man
For numerous believers, the question remains curious of why the term Son of Man was used by
Jesus in self representation. Particularly intriguing is Jesus use of this identification since God s
attributes are not fully comprehended in scope or of nature in their entirety, save what has been
revealed to us in Scripture. Therefore it is humbling to realize that Jesusmakes such a firm
association with mankind. Combined with Jesus humanity there still remains distinctive from His
title, the means which He uses to address (Moule, 1978) Himself.

There is some dispute over the nature of Jesus mission with how (Van Aarde, 2005) future events
would be shaped by Christ.
Scholars have divided themselves into three camps. Some say Jesus was a wisdom teacher and,
according to these scholars understanding 5, it seems that wisdom excludes an apocalyptic mind set.
Others disagree 6. But there is also a third option 7. According to these scholars, both presence
(immanence) and future (eschatology) exist within the spectrum of Jesus vision. This complexity is
interwoven with the problem pertaining to the continuity and/or discontinuity of the son of man
sayings by Jesus and those by the Jesus groups after his death.
I believe that the Daniel 7 linkage to Jesus use of Son of Man will justify an apocalyptic inclusion,
these facts do not disbar Jesus present or future activities.
Aramaic, Hebrew or Greek?
The case of whether or not Hebrew or Aramaic was used by Jesus in the utterance of Son of Man
is difficult to ascertain since Hebrew was used simultaneously in worship while Aramaic was used
in other daily living areas. Aramaic is considered the common language evidenced by the findings
of documents or fragments which proved to be items of textual contracts plus other written
documents of everyday life.
Consequently, all of these findings have been found to be written

Hipwar Case Study
The album didn t come with any promotion or advertising. Top Dawg CEO Anthony Tiffith
announced that TDE would be releasing something, but nobody expected it to be an eight track
K.Dot album. Kendrick doesn t really have an overly active presence on social media, there s no
video clips, the album doesn t even have a real name or track listing, and the cover itself is just
plain green with a tiny bit of text in the corner. Despite no hype (save for a slightly early Spotify
leak which sent music journalists and fans alike into brief meltdown) or publicity, the album still
managed to debut at the top spot on the Billboard charts, his second album in under a year to do
so. In the past year, we have seen more and more rappers partaking in publicity stunts, most
notably social media beefsThe basic result of these public beefs was still a focus on the music,
with record sales increasing at the same time as but not specifically, strictly intending to alienate
their opponent. The history of hip hop beefs travels far deeper than the music; it was territorial and
often gang related, a reminder that gangsta rapwas actually born out of a life of gang involvement,
and the real violence which occurred on the streets. But the point is that these incidents don t push

September 11, 2001 was a historic day in the United States. Four airplanes were hijacked by terrorists. The first one crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The second plane was stopped by passengers. The two of them crashed the biggest towers in the U.S which are the World Trade Centerin New York. On that day 3,000 people died. These occasions changed American s economy, American culture and the relationship with other countries. For example, when I came to New York 5 years ago the securities were very strict with Arabic travelers. They were using dogs and hand searches to inspect travelers. Also, I sat for almost 6 hours to pass the immigration line. They were asking me questions about the reasons for why I came to the United States. However, I did not speak English, so, I asked them if they had a translator or my husband may help me to answer questions but they did not accept that. Third, after the September 11 attack, the relationship has undergone some profound changes between America and other countries especially with Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Political people in Saudi Arabia did not accept what happened in the United States and other countries have been exposed to violence. In addition, people a treatment became very rude with Muslims because they thought Muslims are agree with American s situation. For example, my uncle came with his family in 2003; they faced a lot of problems with American people. Also, while his wife was wearing Islamic dress, she got a lot of harassments from citizens. So, they could not stay more than one week then they decided to travel to Canada to complete their vacation. In my experience, sometimes old people called terrorist because I wearing Islamic costume. • 4. Khaleesi Portray Gender Role In Game Of Thrones . Is It Khaleesi portray gender role in Game of Thrones Is it frustrating to be in a position where you want your voice to be heard, and want to lead certain people or group, but someone tells you it s a man s job to do that? According to Webster Dictionary, gender role is the overt expression of attitudes that indicate to others the degree of your maleness or femaleness. Since the beginning of time, gender role has been present in the society, humans especially have been expected to perform in many ways in regards to their gender. For example, women have been expected to be domesticated, homely and less active in political, social and economic power. Adam in the Bible was seen as the head, the leader while Eve was expected to be subservient. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore being a ruler is challenging for Khaleesi because she has to face opposition from the males. For example, when she was captured by the Dothraki s khal and they were supposed to judge her to see whether she can stay with the khla widows in the Dothraki city. Basically, instead of judging her, they were harassing her and talking about her sexuality, so she stood up for herself and burned the khal and his blood riders. This example shows that Khaleesi places herself over the men when they consider her as low. This also relates to how society considers women to be at a lower status than men because men are the leaders and the women have to do whatever they say. Khaleesi has broken the societal norms and she is showing how powerful women can be by standing up for themselves in a male dominated society. Gender role has been stereotyped because the society set standards for the men and women to follow, but the standards that are set for men and women are not equal. • 5. Justness Of Corporal Punishment Since the ancient human times, corporal punishment has been one of the most popular methods parents have used on enforcing their tutelage onto their children. Corporal punishment is defined as the physical punishment that parents use on their children to enforce rules. The act is seen as something of the past in 48 countries around the world, but for Canada. This is because they still have not resolved it in their legal systems, for Canada this law being the infamous Section 43. Even though it was implemented for the protection of parents and teachers from prosecution because of minor disciplining, it really is an excuse for violence against children. In this generation, the justness and effectiveness of corporal punishmenthave come into question, which is what this writing piece aims to further delve into. While anthropology may not be the most obvious study connected to corporal punishment, the two topics are more related than most people think. As humans, we have a sense of morals and values, and the understanding of our culture s changes is vital to understanding our shift in values. From an anthropological point of view, corporal punishment would be focused on what caused humanity s shift in values when it came to the justness of corporal punishment? . Based on the evidence, the answer to this would be if humanity has a recent change in values when it comes to corporal punishment, then it is because of the recent boost of awareness different cultures have gained in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Certain models predict that drought activity is expected to increase toward the end of the 21st century and particularly in the Colorado River Basin (MacDonald Turner, 21260). When the dam was built in the early 20th century, annual flow was about 17.0 MAF (million acre feet) at Lees Ferry, Arizona which is a few miles below the dam. Estimates calculating the past MAF of the Colorado River average to about 13.8 14.6 over the last 450 years. Thus, the dam was built in a period with an unexpectedly high MAF. Alarmingly in 2000 the river averaged less than 9 MAF. (Bolin, Seetharam, Pompeii, 263). In 2002, the river reached a low of about 6.2 MAF (MacDonald Turner, 21256). Some models estimate that the river could reach the range of 1.5 to 4.5 MAF in the next 30 50 years. (Bolin, Seetharam, Pompeii, 271). The reduction of MAF in the Colorado River is due to drought. Droughts have been occurring throughout the 20th century with droughts from 1900 1904, 1924 1936, 1953 1964, and 1988 1991. These droughts are associated with warmer regional temperatures and the level of warming is deemed exceptional for the 21st century (MacDonald Turner, 21257). Recently the Colorado River has experienced the lowest 5 year mean flows on record (MacDonald Turner, 21257). If river flow is low, so is Lake Powell s water level. It is said that following a visit to the Oracle of Delphi he spent much of his life questioning anyone in Athens who would engage him, in order to disprove the oracular prophecy that there would be no man wiser than Socrates. Through these live dialogues, he examined common but critical concepts that lacked clear or concrete definitions, such as beauty and truth, and the virtues of piety, wisdom, temperance, courage, and justice. Socrates awareness of his own ignorance allowed him to discover his errors as well as the errors of those who claimed knowledge based upon falsifiable or unclear precepts and beliefs. He wrote nothing, but inspired many disciples, including many sons of prominent Athenian citizens (including Plato), which led to his trial and executionin 399 B.C. on the charge that his philosophy and sophistry were undermining the youth, piety, and moral fiber of the city. He was offered a chance to flee from his fate but chose to remain in Athens, abide by his principles, and drink the poison hemlock. Socrates most important student was Plato, who founded the Academy of Athens and wrote a number of dialogues, which applied theSocratic method of inquiry to examine philosophical problems. Queen Victoria married Prince Albert of Saxe Coburg Gotha in 1840, three years after her rise to the throne in 1837. Queen Victoria had nine children with Prince Albert in eighteen years, and they ruled the British Empiretogether until Prince Albert s death in 1861 and Queen Victoria s death in 1901. During Queen Victoria s reign, many political events came to pass, including the Chartist movement, the Great Exhibition, and the Crimean War. • 18. Why I Want To Pursue A Master Of Science Degree Education is not preparation for life; Education is life for itself. These are the words of John Dewey, which have led an everlasting impression on my mind. It relates to the idea of lifelong learning, and the knowledge that education is much more than what lies within the curriculum. Whenever I pause by to reflect on my ken of knowledge, I feel that how little I have learnt and that an enormous, unknown and fascinating wealth of knowledge lies before me, yet to be explored. Education is like an edifice based on strong rudiments and strengthened by the fundamentals and practical skills acquired during one s lifetime. So my main goal is to design the next generation innovations in field rather than being just a user of existing technologies and findings. So I intend to pursue Master of Science degree in Automotive software Engineering at your university as the first step towards obtaining a PHD. Nothing is Impossible in Life has always been a motivating force behind all my achievements. I strongly believe that enjoy what we do and having the passion to pursue, we can ultimately achieve our destination, no matter how much efforts are needed. My inherent urge and interest to pursue engineering emanates from an instinctive inclination for Physics and Mathematics since my schooling. From early childhood, I was very captivated with electronic appliances around me. I would ask my parents about their principle of working. I always tried to find out what basic elements and ... Inflammation of the central nervous system (CNS) is characterized by increased glial activation, pro inflammatory cytokine concentration, blood brain barrier permeability, and leukocyte invasion (Lee et al. 2010). Microglia are cells that support and protect neuronal functions (Lee at al. 2010). They act as the first and main form of active immune defense that orchestrate the endogenous immune response of the Central Nervous System. The microglia play a central role in the cellular response to pathological lesions such as AОІ. AОІ can attract and activate microglia, leading to clustering of microglia around AОІ deposits sites in the brain (Lee et al. 2010). Even though microglia have neuroprotective functions, neurotoxic mechanisms which involves continuous activation of microglia and toxic factors are released by microglia, which may lead to neuroinflammation (Lee et al. 2010). Astrocytes (star shaped glial cells) are the most abundant cells in the brain and are located in the brain and spinal. Astrocytes have various functions such as: biochemical support of endothelial cells of the BBB, supplying nutrients to the nervous tissue, maintenance of extracellular ion balance, and healing the brain and spinal cord following traumatic injury (Lee et al., 2010). Chemokines are released by astrocytes which attract microglia and they further express proinflammatory products, thus increasing neuronal damage in the pathogenesis of AD (Lee et al., 2010). Astrocytes play a critical role in AГџ clearance and degradation, and they also provide trophic support to neurons forming a protective barrier between AГџ deposits and neurons (Wyss Coray et al., 2003). • 20. Charles Dickens Hard Times For These Times Fancy is a noun. It means the power of the mind to imagine things. Do not think about it; do not think about thinking about it. Just memorize it. Can you? There is only one right path that society has pinned you on. Like a toy car on a wooden train track, you are expected to complete the course without straying from it. If you do, you are considered broken. Yet, what exactly is the point of mindlessly walking the same path as everyone else, only to constantly find yourself memorizing empty facts over and over again? In Hard Timesfor these Times, Charles Dickens embodies the consequences of an absolutely factual world: blindness, imbalance, and nonfulfillment. Through the convoluted stories of the opposite worlds, Sissy s journey to becoming a jewel of balance, Louisa s tragic fight for fulfillment, and the harmonious character Sleary, Dickens defines the urgency for the proportional combination of fact and fancy. Gradgrind s education system is structured to plucking imagination and emotions out of the lives of children, resulting in dangerous, machine like human beings. He closed mindedly abides to rules and facts; dreams and abstractness is a crime. For example, Bounderby, Gradgrind s subordinate, insists that his workers expect to be fed on turtle soup and vension, with a golden spoon (72), while on the other hand, the workers believe that they are unfairly treated like dumb objects. Autorotation is a condition where the main rotor is allowed to spin faster than the engine driving it. How is that achieved? It is actually quite simple. All helicopters are fitted with a free wheeling unit between the engine and the main rotor, usually in the transmission. This free wheeling unit can come in different forms but one of the most popular is the sprag clutch. The free wheeling unit will allow the engine to drive the rotors but not allow the rotors to turn the engine. When the engine/s fail the main rotor will still have a considerable amount of inertia and will still want to turn under its own force and through the aerodynamic force of the air through which it is flying. The free wheeling unit is designed in such a way to allow the main rotor to now rotate of its own free will regardless of engine speed. This principle is the same reason that if you are in your car and you push your clutch in, or put it into neutral while the car is still moving, the car will coast along under it s own force. This occurs regardless of what you do to the accelerator pedal. Controlled Descent ? The next question you are probably asking yourself is: Does the pilot retain control of the helicopter? • 38. The Brothers Grimm Essay Fairy tales have been passed down from generation to generation, each person in one way or another altering the tale to reflect a piece of their life in the work . The Brothers Grimm wrote hundreds of fairy tales in their life time and in these works they used their childhood experiences as reference. Because of the hardships they faced growing up their tales take on a more gruesome approach to fairy tales. Because their mother was their only caregiver growing up, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm reflect their fondness towards her through the strong willed, independent female characters in their fairy tales. Female heroines are rarely seen in modern day fairy tales, but as a result of their childhood the Brothers Grimmutilized them frequently... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A true hero in the eyes of Jacob and Wilhelm, their mother single handedly overcame opposition in their family, just as their sister did growing up with five brothers. (Grimm, 11) The sentiment of being abandoned as children unlocked a new territory of potential as their creative juices began to surge. Child abandonment is a many faceted concept within myth, folktale, and literature, and the Brothers Grimm explored this concept in great detail (Garry, 3). As they began to express themselves through literature, male figures, such as fathers, were often dismissed as the females stole the spotlight in their fairy tales. Some modern psychologists have argued that [their] harsh family background influenced the ways the Brothers Grimm interpret and present their tales (Grimm, 15). Without a prominent male figure growing up, they only had their mother to look up to and to idealize as the strong willed individual who never gave up despite all the privation send her way. The Brothers Grimm incorporate their own perspectives to generally recognized fairy tales, often adding a twist and a more callous feel to them. They first started their collection of fairy tales in 1806 by writing down those that they had previously heard from the females in their neighborhood while growing up. This serves as another female sway on their fairy tales that influences their stance on men vs. women in regards to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Stereotypes In Dungeons And Dragons Dungeons and Dragons is a role playing game that requires time, patience, and a relatively good imagination. Society has grown up with this game for several decades and yet the majority has no knowledge of its works and rules other than the misconceptions of stereotypes and confused explanations. When asked about the game, certain social groups are targeted as the player when, in truth, the quantity is much larger than previously thought. Dungeons and Dragons is a game that is more than a game. It is a bonding experience with many personal properties, overcomes the stereotypes, and that everyone can try or witness at least once in their life. Some players like the imagination the game requires and using the power of their mind to create a fantasy world where they can start and end wars, create civilizations, battle monsters, and trek on an epic adventure. Not only is the game based on the creativity of the player, but structure is a key element just like it is in the human language or in music. For example, a young man who has played soccer and enjoyed the sport for most of his life may find a liking to the structure of the game and creating his own ideas in context. Another likely aspect to admire is the social requirement; you cannot play this game alone. It requires at least two people, but most parties have five to eight players. This provides a face to face interaction that can lead to bonding and friendships. An example is when a younger adult who enjoys spending his time with technology is given a chance to have contact with other people on a similar subject, there is always the chance of making new friends. The game is also built around performance of characters, based on dice rolls and abilities obtained, and problem solving skills that the Dungeon Master creates during the game play. • 40. Privatization, the Best Option for Social Security Reform... Many are skeptical about the future of Social Security and are worried they will not receive the full pay out of benefits in the future. In the following pages I will state the reasons why Social Security is in need of reform, describe privatization and the pros and cons, and why privatization is the best option for Social Securityreform. Current problems with the Social Security fund exist, and are the reasons why Social Security is in the need of reform. According to Forbes Magazine, the fund is expected to run out by 2033 (Teal 2013). At this point, money will still be coming in, but will not pay out the full benefits to recipients. The worker to retiree ratio is continuously declining, being approximately three workers to every... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This started the idea of having ownership over a private account that was personally controlled. Account holders were directly receiving the money they invested in Social Security, and have the option to spend the money as they see fit. Many pros and cons arise with this option of Social Security reform. With other options the government takes the risk, but with privatization it is a personal risk. When account holders reach retirement they are able to withdraw from the account and use the money as they see fit. Government does not control the amount or what the account holders use the money for, leaving recipients with the choice to spend as much of the money as they wish and as quickly as they want. With no control over the usage of savings, this defeats the purpose of Social Security as a safety net . The biggest downfall to this reform is the transition period. Not only would the transition be a high cost, but those that are closest to retirement could be left with smaller savings in their private account. If young workers create private accounts then they are not supporting current retirees, and they are not receiving what they should be (Mitchell 2011). Another concern is that not all recipients will end up with a fair amount of earnings in their account. Such ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. The Dead By James Joyce Meaning After reading The Dead by James Joyce, I came to the conclusion that the title of the short story has a very deep meaning, both literally and figuratively. The reason for which I believe the title has a literal meaning is that the author briefly mentions about some secondary characters, who in one way or another, are part of the story but are no longer alive. Some of these characters are the following: Pat Morkan (Brother of Kate and Julia), Ellen Morkan Conroy (Mother of Gabriel), T.J Conroy (Member of the Dublin Port and Docks Board, and Father of Gabriel), Patrick Morkan (Owner of a starch mill, and Father of Kate and Julia), and, especially, Michael Furey (Gretta s first lover who died for the love of her). • 43. The Victorian Century Woman And A Victorian Woman Essay What is the difference between a 21st century woman and a Victorian woman? Most women in the 21st century are exhilarating, lively, intelligent, passionate, and full of life, but who is to say that Victorian women were not? It is said that the typical Victorian woman must have inherent qualities of femininity [such as:] emotion, passivity, submission, dependence, and selflessness (Historical). Most of the Victorian women abode by these social standards and therefore could not speak their true thoughts or emotions. This is because they were dominated by their sexuality, and were expected to fall silently into the social mold crafted by men, since they were regarded as irrational, sensitive, and dutiful (Historical). A famous writer from that era, Charlotte Bronte, defied these social standards by creating characters and explaining, through them, her own thoughts and beliefs. The protagonist, Jane Eyre, was created to exemplify Bronte s powerful emotions that would have been looked down upon in society. In Charlotte Bronte s Victorian novel, Jane Eyre, Bronte uses constant description of fire to symbolize Jane s emotions and her thoughts that could not have been expressed aloud. Bronte also uses fire to demonstrate the emotional aspect of Jane s personal development throughout the novel. Overall, Bronte creates this symbol of fire to defy the social standards of typical and suppressed Victorian women by demonstrating their true passion and exuberant emotions. For one ... • 45. Why Is Clonmacnoise A Cross Clonmacnoise is one of the most important medieval ecclesiastical sites of Ireland, located in the county of Offaly, between Meath and Connacht. Back to its time of grandeur around the ninth and twelfth century, that place was one of the main crossroads. Besides, this complex is also known for its high crosses. Although Clonmacnoise grew to full splendor for centuries, it decayed due to historic events. This essay is briefly focused on its archaeological and historical background, paying special attention to the high crosses. As of today, there are still on some parts of Clonmacnoise: a great stone church, other buildings, three high crosses, two round towers, a Romanesque sculpture and grave slabs. The high crosses were generally built in Ireland around the eighth century and the tenth century. They were a representation of the monastic civilization. These high crosses reached their finest form at Clonmacnoise. According to Flower (1954), the high crosses could be divided into two groups. One of them, named as Leinster group, had crosses made of granite. The other is known as the Ulster group. On the other hand, FranГ§oise Henry proposed at the same time that the high crosses could be chronologically divided into three groups: crosses from the ninth century, from the tenth century and from the twelfth century. Their height reached four metres or even more. They have the shape of Latin crosses, with their base as a truncated pyramid. Their function is still being pondered, although there are some suggestions for it. One of them explains that while some crosses might have indicated the entrance to some of the buildings, others could have been either marks for boundaries or for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Particularly intriguing is Jesus use of this identification since God s attributes are not fully comprehended in scope or of nature in their entirety, save what has been revealed to us in Scripture. Therefore it is humbling to realize that Jesusmakes such a firm association with mankind. Combined with Jesus humanity there still remains distinctive from His title, the means which He uses to address (Moule, 1978) Himself. 1 among those who still believe that it is Dan. 7 that gives it, in the Gospel tradition. it s decisive colour. There is some dispute over the nature of Jesus mission with how (Van Aarde, 2005) future events would be shaped by Christ. Scholars have divided themselves into three camps. Some say Jesus was a wisdom teacher and, according to these scholars understanding 5, it seems that wisdom excludes an apocalyptic mind set. Others disagree 6. But there is also a third option 7. According to these scholars, both presence (immanence) and future (eschatology) exist within the spectrum of Jesus vision. This complexity is interwoven with the problem pertaining to the continuity and/or discontinuity of the son of man sayings by Jesus and those by the Jesus groups after his death. I believe that the Daniel 7 linkage to Jesus use of Son of Man will justify an apocalyptic inclusion, these facts do not disbar Jesus present or future activities. Aramaic, Hebrew or Greek? The case of whether or not Hebrew or Aramaic was used by Jesus in the utterance of Son of Man is difficult to ascertain since Hebrew was used simultaneously in worship while Aramaic was used in other daily living areas. Aramaic is considered the common language evidenced by the findings of documents or fragments which proved to be items of textual contracts plus other written documents of everyday life. Consequently, all of these findings have been found to be written ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
