EUCIP Core - at European level recognized IT qualification - is an answer exactly to this demand as its competence framework strongly focuses on the business skills related to the fundamental e-skills. The certificate was established by CEPIS (Council of European Professional Informatics Societies) and has been used with success already in seven European countries. IT-Shape LLL LdV project aims to adapt EUCIP Core certificate in the Hungarian Vocational Education.

Demand

e-­‐skills
has
been
growing
steadily
during
the
last
years
all
over
the
world.
According
to
the
study
published
in
the
frame
of
European
e-­‐Skills
Forum:
“e-­‐Skills
shortages
will
result
in
an
excess
demand
of
384.000
ICT
practitioners
in
2015.”

Evaluation
of
the

of
the

on
"e-­‐Skills
for
the
21st

An
important
conclusion
of
related
studies
was,
that
European
companies
"were
increasingly
struggling
to
hire
people
who
were
competent
in
both
information
technology
and
business
management.

need

Shaped"
professionals
who
enter
the
workforce
with
a
strong
business
understanding,
‘soft’
skills
and
knowledge
of
leading-­‐edge

Meeting
The
kick-­‐off
meeting
of
I-­‐T
Shape
held
in
Budapest
at
SZÁMALK-­‐SZALÉZI
Vocational
Educational
High
School
in
November
21-­‐23
2013.
The
aim
of
the
meeting
was
that
the
partners
could
know
each-­‐others
and
their
profiles,
activities
and
their
interest
sin
IT-­‐Shape).
The
partners
were
discussed
the
project
aims,
objectives
and
the
whole
work
packages.
They
discussed
about
the
administrative
and
financial
issues,
and
tasks
about
management.
The
representative
of
the
donor
partner
(P1-­‐AICA-­‐
Association
of
Italian
Information
Technology),
Fabrizio
Agnesi
and
Pierfranco
Ravotto
presented
the
background
and
the
main
concepts
behind
the
EUCIP
(European
Certification
of
Informatics
Professionals)
Programme,
and
the
EUCIP
Core
Certification
–
the
consortium
intends
to
adapt
into
the
Hungarian
vocational
and
adult
education.
After
that
there
were
two
presentations
about
experiences,
David
Cleary
from
The
Irish
Computer
Society
had
a
presentation
„Experiences
in
providing
EUCIP
Core
in
Ireland”and
Adriana
Fasulo
and
Cristina
Cosci
from
IS
Fermi
Pontedera
had
a
presentation
„
Experiences
in
providing
EUCIP
Core
in
Italy”.

According
to
the
presenters
the
EUCIP
Core
program
in
Ireland
failed,
while
in
Italy
it
is
running
very
successfully.
The

of
the
partners
we
could
know
the
history
of
the
partners,
their
resources
and
the
goals,
tasks
which
can
greatly
contribute
to
the
success
of
the
project.

conference
on
the
international
dimension
of
e-­‐skills
in
cooperation
with
IVI,
CEPIS,

and
empirica.
The
conference
will
focus
on
the
results
of
the
research
project
on
the
international
dimension
of
ICT
professionalism
and
the
impact
of
globalisation
on
e-­‐
skills.
The
event
will
bring
together
leading
experts
from
industry,
academia,
national
e-­‐skills
institutes,
industry
associations
as
well
as
related
governmental
entities.
The
conference
will
take
place
on
