Who inspires you in today’s music?
How long have you been doing music? What inspired you?
Where are you from? City or province?
I’ve always had an interest in music since I was a kid, I grew up playing guitar and piano. I’ve been song writing
since I was 14, but I probably started releasing music seriously around 16-17 years old. Since I was young I was
always inspired by rappers, my older brother got me into hiphop early. Now, my music taste is pretty much a
bit of everything I find I can draw inspiration from almost anything- sometimes it hits when I least expect it.
I was born and raised in the city of Toronto. My parents immigrated here in the 90’s so I’m a first
generation Canadian. I’ve always struggled internally growing up in a different culture than my
parents & older brother. I want to do their stories’ justice but I want to share them the way I know how.
I grew up a big lil Wayne fan, he’s one of the reasons I started writing bars. My favourite rapper is Kendrick
Lamar. He’s managed to bring his brand of conscious rap to the mainstream. I hope to one day to do the
same. I also like drake, paramore, domenic fike, frank ocean, Kodak black the list goes on and on. My taste
is pretty much anything that’s good!
I think so far I just have many singles lined up for this year. I may start working on putting together an
ep/short album for winter 2024 if I feel the timing is right. I have to been performing much at all since the
pandemic hit, so I feel like now is the perfect time to start seeking live opportunities again.

Who inspires you in today’s music?
How long have you been doing music? What inspired you?
I’ve been making music since I was about 5 or 6 years old, I used to play the drums as
a little kid, which evolved into me making beats on Garageband, to eventually
recording and producing my own full songs in FL Studio now. My family members are
all musicians too which definitely played a big role growing up.
Plans for 2024? Album? Mixtape?
I got big plans for this year, lots and lots of new music on the way including a project. Last
year for me was about consistency, this year I really want to bring a fresh sound to the
scene and show people what I can really do!
There’s too many for me to name all of them, but some of the people that inspire
me musically are Don Toliver, Bryson Tiller, Travis Scott, and Nobu Woods.
Where are you from? City or province?
I’m from Ottawa, Ontario. Born and raised.

JACKIE ART
Jackie Art is a British Black-Canadian artist, born in
London, UK and now residing in Calgary, Canada.
After his official debut mixtape "Depth" in 2020, Jackie
Art has solidified his position in the Western Canadian
music scene. From performing all over Western
Canada, to accumulating over 100,000 total YouTube
views independently, the young artist aims to spread
his music and messages worldwide. Having created
songs with sensual R&B themes to quick-witted rap
styles and even ear-catching dance music, Jackie
prides himself not on versatility but his passion.

Q : How long have you been doing music? And what inspired you?
So I’ve actually been doing music seriously from about 2020. I had started
freestyling and rap battles from right around the time I was finishing up
high school. I actually had a friend called Damian who was like a little
brother to me who told me to get into, and I didn’t really listen to his
opinion much about it. Unfortunately, I lost him to suicide in 2016. Losing
him somehow made me find comfort in something I didn’t know I needed.
Q: Where were you born? City you live? or rep?
I was in born in Edgware, North London, UK and that is where I plan on dying if i’m
keeping it a hundred. I moved to Calgary, Canada when I was 10 and this place
became a second home to me. I got all my extended family and friends in UK, but I
got family up in Calgary, ya feel? So it’s gonna have to be 0208-403 till I die.
Q: Music plans for 2024? What can the people expect? Etc

I went crazy this year, with some of my biggest tracks yet. I

that, but I got another track coming with a crazy high-profile rapper
from Vancouver, but that’s gonna be announced soon here. An EP
will probably be next on the horizon after that.

Q: Have you experienced any obstacles that
you have had to overcome within the
industry?
I would go so far to say I haven’t even conquered
some of the hurdles I’ve been attempting to leap
over. Breaking into other cities crowds, marketing
correctly to the right audience, detailed and
dedicated market outreach studies, promotions
and showcases, the list goes on. However, I have
cracked some codes with organic growth,
maintaining a fan base, establishing
connections/networking, and it has helped
tremendously.
It’s kind of like my own memory book so I
can look back at my younger self in the
future & be able to watch who I was.”
Q: Who or what inspires you musically?
Definitely just dealing with real life is the proper influence,
my friends and family, our experiences together, travelling
the globe, meeting new people, new stories, new
perspectives, all of that. Regarding artists, or art in general,
KDot, Vic Mensa, Lil Wayne, Big L, Avelino, Chip, Bruno
Mars, Quentin Tarantino movies, Jean Basquiat art, damn
even a nice enough sunrise gets da creative juices flowing.
Q: Do you feel Canadian talent is under looked? Or the eyes
are on us?
The eyes are definitely on Canadian music and media more than ever, so
I genuinely believe if anybody wants to attempt to succeed in any
Canadian entertainment industry, now is the time to shoot your shot
and work hard.

Q: How was your childhood? Was music a big thing in your family?
Q: What do you want the fans to take from you’re music?

Q: When your in the booth do you feel pressure? Do you go into your sessions
alone or with a team?
Honestly, no pressure at all. I ain’t gonna cap and say I’ve never
screwed up or nothing, cause I remember one time it took me 23
takes to get like 8 bars or something. Being particular in the booth is
definitely more of what I get like. And I have had sessions with some
bruddas there and sometimes it’s just dolo. Doesn’t really matter to
me much to be honest.
Absolutely. Growing up in England the youngest of four was a blessing in
disguise. It allowed me to venture into realms I probably shouldn’t have been
in, or listen to music that I couldn’t even understand, either way the songs
stuck with me, the melodies fused into my soul on some magic shit. I was
grooving to all sorts of genres and I truly believe it defined my sound.
I want the people to truly feel where I’m coming from. I would like to connect
with anyone on my songs, but I don’t want to say that they have to change
lives or bring in a new ideal or something. If you listen to my lyrics and feel a
party sensation, party. If you listen and want to cry? Then cry, if you listen and
want to smoke up, then you best bring a lighter. I want people to interpret my
art how they see fit.
Q: Is there a particular artist signed or unsigned that
you’d like to work/feature with?
Nyck Caution & Cozz are two rappers I been thinking
about working with for sure. There are so many raw
rappers in Van, Montreal, Toronto that I been talking with
as well but too many to list.

Sadly there is some bozo out there with the Jackie Art username, so all my socials

Q: Is there anyone you’d like to give a shout to?
Shoutout to my manager Chloe, my bruddas Dyll, TK, Reboot, my girl, my family, and
the lord. RIP to da people i’ve lost. Always remember to keep moving forward no
matter what you go through.

MORELLO
Canadian based london Influenced Lawyer turned
Singer/Songwriter/Producer “Morello” has an Extra-
ordinary way of cutting through to the core of his
listeners emotions in his Songs. The Conventry
University Graduate with a passion for songwriting
bequeathed from an early age has an array of
versatile talents such as playing the Piano,
Drums, Conga, the Ukulele, Saxophone and the
Talking drums (Gongó). Morello’s style of music is
the “Afrostyle” has layed hands and finds the
Afro_reggae unique.

Q: How long have you been doing music? And what inspired you?
I have been creating music since I was born I started playing the piano at the
age of 7 by myself.

I was born in Nigeria I also spent 5 years of my life in London England and now
I live in Toronto Canada i rep nigeria/England/Canada.
I was actually born with the talent of music.
Q: Have you experienced any obstacles that you have had to overcome
within the industry?
Yes I noticed people don’t support each other as much as they should in the
industry. The industry is too competitive.
I grew up recording music with well known superstars like lojay and telz
Music wasn’t a big thing in my family until I was born.

I never feel pressure because it’s what’s I know how to do

SAGE THE GODDESS
Born in Toronto, SAGE THE GODDESS is both an
accomplished singer-songwriter and a talented rapper,
known for stunning crowds with her dynamic, soulful
singing voice, and impressing them with her lyrical
prowess when she raps. Throughout her twenties she
took the time to develop as an artist, even winning a
Best Lyricist Award in 2017. You can currently find her
performing live in various locations throughout
Toronto and the GTA, where her polished
performances never disappoint. Always striving to get
bigger and better, she’s aiming to draw new crowds at
home and abroad.

I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario currently residing in Oakville,
Ontario.
Q: Have you experienced any obstacles that you have had to
overcome within the industry?
Not personally , but obstacles are bound to happen in everyday life,
it's how you bounce back from them.
I've been doing music for about 10 years off and on.
What inspired me was Mary j Blige's song "Everything" and Mya's "All
about me".
In 2024 many of expect music videos , Ep , my mixtape Goddess Land vol. 2 ,
hopefully an Album.
Q: Music plans for 2024? What can the people expect? Etc (Album,Mixtape)
What inspires me starts from different life situations, my moods and some of
my favorite musical geniuses.
Q: How long have you been doing music? And what inspired you?
Growing up I was an only child for atleast a decade , so music or my
toys kept my company. My father side of family is very musically
inclined from being in the choir to playing instruments.

that you’d like to work/feature with?
I could see myself doing a collab with many artist
actually. But I'd really would love to do one with
Drake, Meek mill, jhene Aiko, Northside Benji,
Jessie Reyes to name a small few, there's too many
greats to name.
What I would like my day ones to take from my music is my
passion, creativity, love and my drip for music.
Q: When your in the booth do you feel pressure? Do you go
into your sessions alone or with a team?
Everytime I go to the studio is pressure, I always attempt to go
harder than the last time. I tend to go studio solo, but from time
to time I let a few come vibe with me.

Q: Do you feel Canadian talent is under looked? Or the eyes are on us?
I totally feel it's a mix of both, the underage the Canadian Music scene
but also can't help but to stop and listen.
