All of my work will be focused on songs underlining each analysis or historical fact. In addition, I will

marked the end of punk. I) Creation of punk GARAGE ROCK Rock n roll emerged in the mid 50s, in
the United States. Early 1960s: the vision of adults about this new style blocks the movement very
quickly. Then the majors wanted to replace rock by twist and surf music. English bands like The
Animals, The Beatles, The Kinks and The Rolling Stones, influenced by the blues appeared. In the

POST PUNK 1979 1980 Both influenced by the punk scene of New York and also by the
experimental music of the 1970s, the Sex Pistols and the first English punk bands were created. New
groups appeared: Captain Beefheart or Residents. But first punk and particularly Clash make it
evolved to post punk. This movement gives rise to many bands claiming the legacy of punk and brings
a mix of genres, much more complex and open. I will introduce iconic albums here. Check on the
corpus. II) The punk myth A) Original punk The Ideology The aesthetic I will discuss here the lyrics
of the main bands mentioned with a study of the themes. The basis of the punk thought: individual
freedom (do it yourself), challenged the established order. Inspired by older ideologies like anarchy or
nihilism. Associated with a more recent concepts like antifascist anti racism. In everyday life: messy,
improvisation. Punk was characterized by the notion of subversion and absolute individualism. Self
deprecating, embezzlement Codes and especially destruction of social barriers are used to transmit
their messages. This philosophy had been described by Craig O Hara in 1995, in The philosophy of
punk. It is often summed up in the slogan no future but it is an overly simplistic approach because the
full sentence is No future for you ... You being the establishment of this period. Visual symbolic are

Understanding Schizophrenia and Psychosis
Schizophrenia and Psychotherapy Schizophrenia is a psychiatric disorder differentiated by
degeneration of thought processes and of emotional reaction. It is characterized by auditory
hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized speech and thought process along with considerable social
or occupational dysfunction. Onset of symptoms is usually during early adulthood. Diagnosis is based
on DSM IV criteria for diagnosis of Schizophrenia (PubMed, 2010). It mainly affects the cognition
but behavior and emotion can also be involved. Schizophrenics can have certain coexisting conditions
such as major depression and anxiety disorders. These cognitive, emotional and behavioral problems
can lead to secondary problems like unemployment, academic difficulties and social issues.
Schizophrenics have higher tendency to suicide than general population which makes their life
expectancy 15 years less than the general population. The average life expectancy of people with the
disorder is 12 to 15 years less than those without, the result of increased physical health problems and
a higher suicide rate (about 5%). Following are the classification of Schizophrenia according to DSM
IV Manual Paranoid type: delusions, hallucinations without affecting the thought behavior, and
cognition. (DSM code 295.3/ICD code F20.0) Disorganized type: Though disorder and flat affect
(DSM code 295.1/ICD code F20.1) Catatonic type: Agitated, purposeless movements, occasional
immobility, catatonic stupor

Asian Values And Cultural Diversity
The term Asian Values has various definitions. Generally, the phrase alludes to influences from
Confucianism in particular, filial piety or loyalty towards the family, corporation, and nation; the
forgoing of personal freedom for the sake of society s stability and prosperity; the pursuit of academic
and technological excellence; and, a strong work ethic together with thrift.
Proponents of so called Asian values , who tend to support Asian style authoritarian governments
claim these values are more appropriate for the region than Western democracy with its emphasis on
individual freedoms.
Asian values were codified and promoted in the Bangkok Declaration of 1993, which re emphasized
the principles of sovereignty, self determination, and non interference in civil and political rights.
However, there have been a number of criticisms of Asian values. For example, Amartya Sen argues
these so called Asian values cannot operate because of the overriding cultural diversity found in Asia.
In addition, Lung Ying Tai, a Taiwanese social and political critic, supported by former President of
the Republic of Korea (South Korea) Kim Dae Jung and Lee Teng hui of Taiwan argues that Asian
values is a doublespeak for suppressing universal values such as freedom of speech and human rights.
Therefore, the research paper revisits the previous studies and the old ideas in order to compare and
collate Asian values with Western individualism to build a more positive new view. In

Compare And Contrast Japanese Constitution And Kawai s
CRITIQUE OF ROBERT E WARD S THE ORIGINS OF THE PRESENT JAPANESE
CONSTITUTION AND KAZUO KAWAI S, SOVEREIGNTY AND DEMOCRACY IN THE
JAPANESE CONSTITUTION . Robert E Ward and Kazuo Kawai were both political scientists who
wrote these articles during the Allied occupation of Japan; Ward wrote his article in December 1956
whilst Kawai wrote his article in September 1955 . Both authors have very similar arguments in
regards to the Japanese constitution that was put in place in 1947 by the Supreme Commander of the
Allied Powers an American initiative. Ward and Kawai argue that the constitution that was put in place
will be in some form reformed by the Japanese people. Kawai s primary point is that the Japanese
people will use their newly established ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kawai s main point is that the role of the emperor will be brought into question as his newly reduced
powers do not compliment Japan s social structure. Ward hold a similar argument in that he believes
that the constitution was rushed and poorly imposed upon Japan. Ward uses a detailed described of the
process as to which the constitution goes through and uses this to demonstrate how it s forcefully
imposed nature proved to be counterproductive for the American initiative. Both writers maintain the
notion that the constitution is an alien invention which proves less than productive for completing the
objective of creating a democratic Japan. The issue that arises from these articles is whether or not the
constitution was an effective or even a necessary change in Japan. The question as to whether or not
the constitution should be changed still exists today , as the current Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō
Abe wishes to, and has succeeded in, changing the constitution . Both arguments that are presented in
the articles are somewhat convincing. Subtracting the fact that the constitution remains unchanged
after both articles are written, the individual merits of the articles are convincing. Kawai argues that
the social hierarchy was one of the reasons

International Criminal Court Unfair Towards African...
Is the International Criminal Court unfair towards African Nations vis à vis Western Nations?
On October 12, 2016, the parliament of Burundi, a country located in the Eastern part of Africa voted
to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC) with a vote of 94 to 2. Weeks earlier, Gambia
and South Africa announced their intention to withdraw from the ICC, and this wave of action by
these three African nations has paved the way for other African nations to reassess if they wanted to
still be part of the ICC. Since its establishment in 1998, the ICC has tried criminals of war mainly
from African members states. This treatment has raised a lot of concerns within African nations, and
they are expressing themselves about the unfair treatments and bias towards them from the
International Criminal Court by threatening to leave this longtime praised establishment..
Created on July 17, 1998 in Rome, Italy, after more than 120 nations voted in favor of the Rome
Statute, the International Criminal Court is an independent court that tries individuals or groups for
war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity, and could open investigations when referred to by
the United Nations Security Council. In order to veto or approve of its policies or resolutions, nations
need to be members, and as of 2016 there are 124 members in the ICC. Not to be confused with the
International Court of Justice (ICJ), the ICC only deals with war related issues, whereas the ICJ s role

Power Steer By Michael Pollen Summary
I was really excited to read the article Power Steer by Michael Pollen. I ve seen several of his books at
local book stores, as well as different television shows featuring his work. The purpose of Michael
Pollen s article was to educate himself and others on the process of producing industrial steak in
America, and making a financial profit along the way. He felt that Ignorance was no longer tenable. In
doing so, Michael decided to purchase an 8 month old calf numbered 534 for $598. This totaled $1.60
a day for room and board due to the cattle not being weaned yet. Throughout Michael s educational
journey, he was able to learn about the different problems associated with animal feeding operations.
This includes health problems that cattle could cause to humans, such as ... Show more content on

There was the calving season, which began during the late winter, the spring season, which includes
branding, vaccination, and castration of the calf, and then there is the summer which the insemination
process occurred. During the fall is when weaning occurred and that is when Michael first met his
calf. Michael learned that his calf 534 ate little blue stem, green needle grass and western grass.
Michael also learned the importance of calf s living on the grass instead of factory farms. Cattle living
on farm land had fewer diseases, ate naturally, and had no use for medications. Cows are useful in
helping to prevent trees and shrubs from gaining a foothold as well as spreading grass seeds by
planting them with their hoofs and fertilizing it. The most important lesson I think is that cows have
rumens. The function of a rumen is the ability to convert grass into protein. Humans don t have the
ability to do this as Michael found out. All of this information was useful in helping Michael learn the
life process cattle 534. He was able to learn about what calf 534 ate, how it lived, and its

Case Analysis Guidelines amp; Checklist
Overview: In many ways writing a short analysis paper (including recommendations and/or
conclusions) is like writing an action memo or executive memo in business. The following sections go
over how to organize and format your written work here in class and in the business world to be
attractive to the reader and effective in getting your point across.
Approach: * Read the entire case carefully before you actually begin to write the paper, and make
careful notes
(including your emotional reactions, which can be useful). Try to read the case once at least a few
hours or a day earlier, and then again when you are writing the paper. This ... Show more content on

* (Optional). You may decide to add a final titled conclusion section of 25 100 words, including any
parting thoughts you would like to add about the topic, the organization, or the situation, and any
lessons from it you want to note.
Format and Style:
Boston University emphasizes standards of effective oral and written business communication,
because these skills are important to your career success. Therefore you are expected to follow the
requirements of good business writing and the specific requirements of the course. Failure to follow
these rules (e.g. papers over length, excessive misspellings, incorrect citations, etc.) will result in
papers being downgraded. Likewise follow Boston University s rules on plagiarism and academic
conduct.
Specific requirements * Papers should be organized into paragraphs, written in complete sentences,
and broken into clearly titled sections as per the outline above. Note that generally shorter rather than
longer paragraphs make for better communication, and that it is better to have too many titled sections
than too few. * Use correct spelling and grammar. You should use a spell checking program on your
computer, and * personally proof read your papers. If English is a second language for you, ask an
English speaking friend to check your writing and grammar for you. Remember to set the language of
Word to English (U.S.) through the Menu. Also make sure you have

Blenders Are Better Than Juice
Juicing has become a popular trend recently, especially with the increase in awareness about health.
However, a lot of people don t understand how to properly juice their fruits and vegetables, and
mistakenly use a blender. There is also a lot of talk about the best blender for juicing, when the truth
is, blenders are never appropriate. Blenders function in a totally different way than juicers do.
Blenders make smoothies, not juice. What s the difference between smoothies and juice? Smoothies
are mixtures made up of finely chopped fibers, pulp, and juice, all in one drink. Smoothies tend to be
on the thicker side of things and hold more calories than juice alone does. Juice, on the other hand, is
pure liquid, separated entirely from the fiber ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s possible to squeeze the juice from fruits and vegetables by hand, but that is a long, time consuming
process. It s also a lot of work; you ll burn a ton of calories doing it! However, if there s no other
alternative, consider hand juicing. Otherwise, consider purchasing a juicer online. Most of them tend
to be rather inexpensive. Decent quality juicers can be bought for just $50 or so, and they produce
much better results than a blender. Remember, even if you own a high quality, very expensive blender,
it s still not going to provide you with juicing quality results; there is simply no best blender for
juicing. A juicing diet can be very rewarding. Not only does it allow you to lose weight with minimal
effort, but you can cleanse your body of harmful toxins and materials you didn t even know you had in
your system. While there is no best blender for juicing, doing it by hand or purchasing a juicer can be
a beneficial alternative. With a bit of effort, you could be in the best shape you ve been in years. No
matter how effective your blender may be, it just won t give the results a quality juicing machine

Macbeth Blank Verse Essay
Macbeth, a memorable play that keeps its patrons enthralled, but what many do not realize is that what
makes each scene so excellent is Shakespeare s exceptional shifts between blank verse, prose and
rhyme verse all through the play. Throughout Macbeth, Shakespeare switches from using blank verse
to prose and even to using rhyme verse, each time in a manner that perfectly matches the scene.
Shakespeare has used blank verse, prose, and rhyme verse in several other of his poems and plays, and
they are a common technique for Shakespeare. Shakespeare s utilization of these techniques in
Macbeth truly establishes a perfect mood at every instance on whence they are used, displaying a true
mastery of english language. Shakespeare s inclusion of blank verse that is interrupted by both prose
and rhyme verse, was for the sake of establishing a perfect flow with the ... Show more content on

Blank verse is written in a format that is usually used in poems such as its use of iambic rhythm, but
instead it is used as lines in a play. The poetically written lines are very formal and refined, so
speaking in such a way would create an appearance of grace and professionalism that one would
usually show with strangers or as in Elizabethan times even friends would be treated with some
formalities. Treating someone of high stature or relative importance too informally would be
considered rude in the Elizabethan age, as people wanted to be recognized for their earned positions.
Thus, Shakespeare s extensive inclusion of blank verse in Macbeth demonstrates the way people
normally talked during the Elizabethan time period, as royalty such as King Duncan, and dignified
people such as Macbeth and Banquo, speak in blank verse because they are treating each other in a
dignified and formal manner that is befitting of royalty and people of high

Nadine Water Child Summary
The chapter deals with communication and language; however, not in the way that is typically
expected. The main character, Nadine, can only communicate with her parents through mail and the
occasional phone call, and she fails to write back. Her former beau, Eric, can only communicate to her
through the voicemails he leaves on her machine. And the patient at the hospital, Ms. Hinds, can only
communicate through writing on a notepad. The nurse at the hospital tries to communicate and have a

Her unborn child with Eric seems to haunt her. She suspended communication with the people in her
life maybe because she is too ashamed by the abortion, so now she is punishing herself. Instead of
filling her life with people she substitutes human interactions with the voices from the TV. Nadine
now has to deal with the decision she made. Her use of language and communication were severely
altered by her decision. Instead of interacting with Eric, she ignores his calls and keeps his cassette
recordings next to a small shrine for the baby, which is possibly her form of mourning. Conceivably,
the chapter is named Water Child in reference to the baby. Nadine s shrine is described to have a

the baby might represent her lost of what she could have had along with symbolizing her grief. If she

Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Minister s Black Veil
In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Minister s Black Veil mystery plays a huge role when it comes to plot,
and character development. At the end of this story the minister who is wearing the veil rhetorically
asks, What but the mystery which it obscurely typifies has made this piece of crape so awful?
(Hawthorne 1044). Hawthorne has built up this character so carefully and intensely to this point, to
quite directly state that this veil on his face represents mystery. The minister also begs the question of,
what else does it represent? Asking his congregation, who also persecuted him, to look deep in
themselves and figure out the real reason for his apparel. The minister blatantly reveals that his veil
typifies mystery in a sense where his congregation cannot keep themselves together, unless they know
the absolute truth. Hawthorne uses this veil as a direct representation of mystery and self control, but
he also uses it as a symbol of a divine controller, tying in spirituality and religion. Towards the
beginning of the story the minister reveals himself looking different, as he wore an obvious black veil
over his face. His audience hated the idea of his new look as they muttered amongst themselves, I don
t like it, and Our parson has gone mad! (Hawthorne 1038). These two particular quotes obviously
reveal the initial distaste for the veil, but it also shows that the congregation could not even control
themselves, as they wondered why he wore this disgusting cover. The

Why Was Hammurabi Unjust
Hammurabi s code was unjust for a variety of reasons. First of all, many of the punishments did not fit
the crime. For example, in law 21, if a person had broken into someone s house and was caught, the
punishment was to be hung. If this were to happen today, the consequence would be looked upon as
wrong because the person should be put on trial instead. Another reason Hammurabi s code of laws is
unjust is because people were often punished for mistakes. In law 218, Hammurabi says If a surgeon
has operated with a bronze lancet on a free man for a serious injury, and has caused his death,... his
hands shall be cut off. This shows that people were punished for mistakes because even if it was not a
preventable death, the surgeon will still be

Civil Rights During The 20th Century
Today, we stand at a precipice threatening a definitive split between Blacks and Jews, and Jews of
Color and Jews. The recent platform of Black Lives Matters denounces Israel as an apartheid state. A
respect for the history of Black political thought demands we not forget Israel and Jews (of all races)
remain a vulnerable minority.
Jews and Black Americans are most often linked together during the 20th century Civil Rights
movement. These communities were victims of institutionalized discrimination and social shunning.
Jim Crow signage proclaimed: No Jews, No Dogs, No Negroes. At the height of the Civil Rights era,
Jews and Blacks marched together and were martyred during the Freedom Rides for voter
registrations.
The 19th and 20th centuries were filled with social and political change from the outlawing of slavery,
the Labor Movements advancement of workers rights, and WWI and WWII toppling of empires and
raising up new nations. Unfortunately, Blacks and Jews continued as subjects of racism and anti
Semitism, with increasing violence. Black enfranchisement was met with government sanctioned
White Supremacist aggression (such as the Klu Klux Klan). Similarly, the Holocaust highlights Jewish
vulnerability. Esteemed historian and Pan Africanist WEB Dubois exclaimed, Every child knows that

The Romantic Periods
In the Romantic period a war and a battle took place, the era learned ways to spice up production, the
play Faust was created, and there were connections between the time period and the play itself. The
first war that took place was the French Revolution.
The French Revolution began in 1789 and lasted until 1799. There were three estates in France but
one of the estates was not being treated fairly so they decided to rebel. Finally, a Constitution was
made and everyone was happy. The battle of Valmy took place September 20, 1792. Two French
armies had some issues between themselves so of course the only way to resolve the problems was to
go to war. After a few days of fighting both sides decided to negotiate and eventually the fighting
ceased. In all the trauma that the war and battle cause though Goethe was able to find inspiration to
write his play called Faust . In order to understand Faust you had to understand the trauma inflicted on
the play s author by the French Revolution. (Kolonie) In order to deal with wars that were occurring
Goethe spilled his feelings into his writing. In the play Faust the Devil and God make a bet that the
Devil cannot make God s most promising scholar turn against him. The man ends up selling his soul
to the Devil but just when the Devil thought he won the bet angels came down to take the dead man s
soul up to Heaven. The author, Johan Wolfgang von Goethe, is known as the man most representative
in German literature. (Magil 733) He

At Night My Lost Memory Of The Beloved Poem Analysis
Faiz Ahmed Faiz writes: At night my lost memory of you returned / I was like the dying patient who,
for no reason, smiles. Of course, the night has been the time when people become vulnerable of their
thoughts and their painful past experiences. In the mid 1900s, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, delves into these
painful nights, where he reminisces about his beloved and longs for it, usually shown in his poetry.
Consequently, Faiz Ahmed Faiz uses three literary devices in many ways to portray the true subject of
poetry, based on him, which is the loss of the beloved. Specifically, Faiz uses emotional language,
hyperbole, and allegory to illustrate the theme of the loss of the beloved. Certainly, Faiz Ahmed Faiz
uses emotional language in different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This dark setting and mood work together to further emphasize the pain after losing a love one.
Moreover, he also uses abstract emotional language to create the melancholy mood, reinforcing the
theme of loss and the desire of the beloved. Faiz uses emotional language that is abstract to show
desired emotions and the search of hope. For instance, he writes during the spring nights, fill your
heart to the brim, and your eyes / too, / with longing and desire (551). The abstract emotional language
in this quote, longing and desire work together to construct the hope for his loss of the beloved. In
addition, in this quote, there is an exaggeration of being able to replete the heart with ideas, which is
not possible; because the whim comes from the mind, not the heart. Therefore, this hyperbole adds an
extra effect to amplify the duration of the longing for the loved one to further develop the theme of
loss of the beloved. Hence, while emotional language contributes to the mood to enhance the theme, it
is also the building blocks of hyperbole, an exaggeration of ideas. At the same time, Faiz utilizes

Similarities Between Coaching And Feedback
Feedback versus Coaching: Same or Different? There are similarities between feedback and coaching,
and in fact feedback is a part of coaching. Feedback on its own may seem to be a much shorter process
of giving comments or advice about something that has or has not happened, and usually ends by
someone making suggestions or asking how it could be done better. Coaching adds to feedback by
providing a process for change, adding support for commitment to action. How to Provide Feedback
Effectively Giving and receiving feedback has long been considered to be an essential skill for
managers and leaders. Employees need to know how they are doing as they strive to achieve their
organisation s goals. They need to know how they are doing, whether the performance is up to
standard, and if not, how they can improve. When improvement is needed, The S/TAR concept
provides an effective method for providing feedback about the behaviour or results observed. The
approach should also include suggestions or prompts towards how to handle the situation in the future.
For example, let s say you observed an employee refusing a request from another department. You
could use the STAR concept to provide feedback on what you ... Show more content on

Managers then meet to recalibrate and gain final agreement on performance levels; this becomes a bun
fight, and many of those rated at exceeds level are reappraised at meets , which can be discouraging.
The idea that five people in a work group could all be performing equally, but must be ranked from
one to five in order to divide up compensation dollars, seems unfair. In fact, many employees cite
informal, forced ranking as their major source of frustration with their organisation s performance
management system. This approach often results in fostering competitive rather than collaborative

Discrimination Against Black Males
Finding myself in a place I wasn t supposed to be became the catalyst for realizing the danger I was in
from simply being a young black male.
Sometimes something as simple as hanging out with friends ends in almost losing your life. I had
grown up around kids from wealthy backgrounds, lived in an area with little to no crime, and been
raised like any other kid. I wasn t completely oblivious to the fact that i was black, in fact my parents
reminded me often that i wasn t the same as the kids I went to school with. Despite being told that I
was different, I ignored it, I ignored everything and had the delusion that because of my personal
background I was untouchable. When my friends and I decided to go trespass at a school to watch
fireworks, no thought in my head told me I was in danger. It wasn t long before we got caught, but

That situation taught me that no matter where I m from or how much money my family has, I am still
black. The system we live in tries to institutionalize us and show us nothing but hate. The problem is
not whether the shooter is racist, the problem is that black males are treated as problem well before we
are treated as people. I carry these view with me every day and from that point on they have defined
my every action. I think twice before doing most things because having this skin color is a challenge,
the world tries to see everything that I do as wrong and they try to make me a statistic. The incident
taught me that I will always look threatening no matter what I m doing or where I m doing it. It taught
me to be cautious, and not to fall into the trap society set for me and everyone else like me the day we
were born. To make things clear, my greatest challenge was not this situation, my greatest challenge to
this day is being black in our modern society, one that I have to work hard to

Differences Between Marketing And Operations Management

The effectiveness of organizational performance depends on the capability of the organization to

A Guidance Philosophy Statement
A Guidance Philosophy Statement(s): I believe that the purpose and challenge of guidance is to help
the child in the developing process of self control and responsibility in practice. Positive, strong
relationships between adults and children are key to a child s social and emotional development. It is
very difficult to build any relationship without specific purpose and understanding of child
development, without partnerships with family and staff s interactions. Teacher largely combines,
models and directs all of these components for better assisting to the child and his/her family.
Children are the future adults. I belie they not only listen to what we tell them (guide them), but also
look for our actions. We cannot demand respect from children, if we going to treat or guide them
without respect for their rights. Also, any guide techniques will not work without:
Desire to understand a child and situation Listening skills

I believe that is a great object to represent the tools of guiding behavior in regards to self regulation
process. A mirror is reflecting the one who looks into it, and those who may be next to the person. For
the children it is an amazing tool, which allows them to see the results of their appropriate or mistaken
behavior. For the each parent a child is a reflection of himself or herself in the small version. For the
teachers, kids are also a reflection of all of the techniques, methods and knowledge. It is not just one
image of the child for all of them. Each of us uses the mirror constantly, repeatedly, and it shows that
it is impossible to remember even our own reflection in the mirror. Similarly, the process of guiding

Answer 4.b. According to Lora Brill s concept, the UC Europe will create Eurobrand Teams which are

States with the Most Gun Violence www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation More than two thirds of all
homicides in the United States are gun related. Arizona is ranked the eleventh worst state. Nearly
36,000 people died in gun related incidents in 2013. This is an increase of 13.8% in the past ten years.
The CDC keeps track of all gun related deaths for each state. Fatalities include homicide, suicide, and
accidents. While gun laws are uniform across the United States, none of the states with the most gun
violence require an individual to have a permit to buy rifles, shotguns, or handguns. The owners are
not required to register their guns either in any of these states. This is valuable because it shows that
the worst states for gun violence are due to having uniform laws when clearly they don t. These states
don t require anything for people to get a gun. Arizona is on this list. What is our world coming to?

Psychopathy and Antisocial Personality Disorder Essay
Introduction The purpose of this study is to compare and contrast the constructs of psychopathy and
antisocial personality disorder. The aim is to highlight whether the terms psychopathy and antisocial
personality disorder reflect the same construct or whether they differ. Furthermore, recommendations
for treatment of criminal behavior will be explored. For the purposes of this evaluation some
definitions need to be highlighted: Criminal offence is an act that breaks a law, which relates how to
behave in society. The harm caused by the act is seen to be against society as a whole, not just a
specific person. Sometimes it refers to the specific law that was broken (Herring, 2009). Crime is the
breach of rules or law for which some authority ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, psychopathy was considered during the twentieth century, the most widely used term to
describe antisocial behavior (Reed, 1996). In the 1980s, the committee who devised the Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual for the American Psychiatric Association recommended the term antisocial
personality syndrome to be changed to antisocial personality disorder (Ellis Walsh, 2000). Antisocial
Personality Disorder Hare McPherson (1984), were successful in pushing the idea that there is a
significant correspondence between violent and persistent delinquent and criminal histories and
antisocial personality disorder diagnosis. Acute persistent child conduct disorder behavior symptoms,
also known as conduct disorder, have been directly linked to serious criminality and antisocial
personality disorder (Ellis Walsh, 2000). Although criminality and antisocial personality disorder
ought not be equated, they should be seen as closely linked behavioral phenomena (Ellis Walsh,
2000). Vitella (1996) believes that individuals with childhood conduct disorder have a higher than
normal probability of being both criminal and diagnosed antisocial personality disorder in adolescence
and adulthood, and persons with serious criminal records have a higher probability of being diagnosed
psychopathic than those with little or no criminal history. Nevertheless, Ellis Walsh (2000) in caution
pointed out that these

Hospital And Ambulatory Care Case Study
Hospitals and Ambulatory Care
1) The traditional management style of hospitals have been hierarchical and internally focused. What
are the three important challenges that hospitals face to accommodate new payers and consumer
expectations?
These hospitals are using the manual approach of relating with consumers as will as payers.
Remittance to providers and disburse paper checks is prone to errors, costly and time consuming. It is
required of payers to adopt the standardized electronic healthcare transactions according to the
regulatory mandates. Electronic funds transfer (RFT) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) are the

administrative costs.

Conflict of interests is a common problem associated with peer review process, which is contributed

Criticizing colleagues and eventually censuring the friends is a big challenge among doctors. This is
because the process involves a lot of work which goes uncompensated. In addition, the process

In addition, I will use as a reference London Calling (album) by The Clash, showing that this was a turning point that marked the end of punk. I) Creation of punk GARAGE ROCK Rock n roll emerged in the mid 50s, in the United States. Early 1960s: the vision of adults about this new style blocks the movement very quickly. Then the majors wanted to replace rock by twist and surf music. English bands like The Animals, The Beatles, The Kinks and The Rolling Stones, influenced by the blues appeared. In the U.S.: Because of the British Invasion , new bands appeared in the U.S. and followed the basis of these English bands repeating in garages. Not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... POST PUNK 1979 1980 Both influenced by the punk scene of New York and also by the experimental music of the 1970s, the Sex Pistols and the first English punk bands were created. New groups appeared: Captain Beefheart or Residents. But first punk and particularly Clash make it evolved to post punk. This movement gives rise to many bands claiming the legacy of punk and brings a mix of genres, much more complex and open. I will introduce iconic albums here. Check on the corpus. II) The punk myth A) Original punk The Ideology The aesthetic I will discuss here the lyrics of the main bands mentioned with a study of the themes. The basis of the punk thought: individual freedom (do it yourself), challenged the established order. Inspired by older ideologies like anarchy or nihilism. Associated with a more recent concepts like antifascist anti racism. In everyday life: messy, improvisation. Punk was characterized by the notion of subversion and absolute individualism. Self deprecating, embezzlement Codes and especially destruction of social barriers are used to transmit their messages. This philosophy had been described by Craig O Hara in 1995, in The philosophy of punk. It is often summed up in the slogan no future but it is an overly simplistic approach because the full sentence is No future for you ... You being the establishment of this period. • 3. Understanding Schizophrenia and Psychosis Schizophrenia and Psychotherapy Schizophrenia is a psychiatric disorder differentiated by degeneration of thought processes and of emotional reaction. It is characterized by auditory hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized speech and thought process along with considerable social or occupational dysfunction. Onset of symptoms is usually during early adulthood. Diagnosis is based on DSM IV criteria for diagnosis of Schizophrenia (PubMed, 2010). It mainly affects the cognition but behavior and emotion can also be involved. Schizophrenics can have certain coexisting conditions such as major depression and anxiety disorders. These cognitive, emotional and behavioral problems can lead to secondary problems like unemployment, academic difficulties and social issues. Schizophrenics have higher tendency to suicide than general population which makes their life expectancy 15 years less than the general population. The average life expectancy of people with the disorder is 12 to 15 years less than those without, the result of increased physical health problems and a higher suicide rate (about 5%). Following are the classification of Schizophrenia according to DSM IV Manual Paranoid type: delusions, hallucinations without affecting the thought behavior, and cognition. • 5. Asian Values And Cultural Diversity The term Asian Values has various definitions. Generally, the phrase alludes to influences from Confucianism in particular, filial piety or loyalty towards the family, corporation, and nation; the forgoing of personal freedom for the sake of society s stability and prosperity; the pursuit of academic and technological excellence; and, a strong work ethic together with thrift. Proponents of so called Asian values , who tend to support Asian style authoritarian governments claim these values are more appropriate for the region than Western democracy with its emphasis on individual freedoms. Asian values were codified and promoted in the Bangkok Declaration of 1993, which re emphasized the principles of sovereignty, self determination, and non interference in civil and political rights. However, there have been a number of criticisms of Asian values. For example, Amartya Sen argues these so called Asian values cannot operate because of the overriding cultural diversity found in Asia. In addition, Lung Ying Tai, a Taiwanese social and political critic, supported by former President of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) Kim Dae Jung and Lee Teng hui of Taiwan argues that Asian values is a doublespeak for suppressing universal values such as freedom of speech and human rights. Therefore, the research paper revisits the previous studies and the old ideas in order to compare and collate Asian values with Western individualism to build a more positive new view. In ... • 6. Compare And Contrast Japanese Constitution And Kawai s CRITIQUE OF ROBERT E WARD S THE ORIGINS OF THE PRESENT JAPANESE CONSTITUTION AND KAZUO KAWAI S, SOVEREIGNTY AND DEMOCRACY IN THE JAPANESE CONSTITUTION . Robert E Ward and Kazuo Kawai were both political scientists who wrote these articles during the Allied occupation of Japan; Ward wrote his article in December 1956 whilst Kawai wrote his article in September 1955 . Both authors have very similar arguments in regards to the Japanese constitution that was put in place in 1947 by the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers an American initiative. Ward and Kawai argue that the constitution that was put in place will be in some form reformed by the Japanese people. Kawai s primary point is that the Japanese people will use their newly established ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Kawai s main point is that the role of the emperor will be brought into question as his newly reduced powers do not compliment Japan s social structure. Ward hold a similar argument in that he believes that the constitution was rushed and poorly imposed upon Japan. Ward uses a detailed described of the process as to which the constitution goes through and uses this to demonstrate how it s forcefully imposed nature proved to be counterproductive for the American initiative. Both writers maintain the notion that the constitution is an alien invention which proves less than productive for completing the objective of creating a democratic Japan. The issue that arises from these articles is whether or not the constitution was an effective or even a necessary change in Japan. The question as to whether or not the constitution should be changed still exists today , as the current Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe wishes to, and has succeeded in, changing the constitution . • 7. International Criminal Court Unfair Towards African... Is the International Criminal Court unfair towards African Nations vis à vis Western Nations? On October 12, 2016, the parliament of Burundi, a country located in the Eastern part of Africa voted to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC) with a vote of 94 to 2. Weeks earlier, Gambia and South Africa announced their intention to withdraw from the ICC, and this wave of action by these three African nations has paved the way for other African nations to reassess if they wanted to still be part of the ICC. Since its establishment in 1998, the ICC has tried criminals of war mainly from African members states. This treatment has raised a lot of concerns within African nations, and they are expressing themselves about the unfair treatments and bias towards them from the International Criminal Court by threatening to leave this longtime praised establishment.. Created on July 17, 1998 in Rome, Italy, after more than 120 nations voted in favor of the Rome Statute, the International Criminal Court is an independent court that tries individuals or groups for war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity, and could open investigations when referred to by the United Nations Security Council. In order to veto or approve of its policies or resolutions, nations need to be members, and as of 2016 there are 124 members in the ICC. I ve seen several of his books at local book stores, as well as different television shows featuring his work. The purpose of Michael Pollen s article was to educate himself and others on the process of producing industrial steak in America, and making a financial profit along the way. He felt that Ignorance was no longer tenable. In doing so, Michael decided to purchase an 8 month old calf numbered 534 for $598. This totaled $1.60 a day for room and board due to the cattle not being weaned yet. Michael also learned the importance of calf s living on the grass instead of factory farms. Cattle living on farm land had fewer diseases, ate naturally, and had no use for medications. Cows are useful in helping to prevent trees and shrubs from gaining a foothold as well as spreading grass seeds by planting them with their hoofs and fertilizing it. The most important lesson I think is that cows have rumens. The function of a rumen is the ability to convert grass into protein. Humans don t have the ability to do this as Michael found out. Blank verse is written in a format that is usually used in poems such as its use of iambic rhythm, but instead it is used as lines in a play. The poetically written lines are very formal and refined, so speaking in such a way would create an appearance of grace and professionalism that one would usually show with strangers or as in Elizabethan times even friends would be treated with some formalities. Treating someone of high stature or relative importance too informally would be considered rude in the Elizabethan age, as people wanted to be recognized for their earned positions. Thus, Shakespeare s extensive inclusion of blank verse in Macbeth demonstrates the way people normally talked during the Elizabethan time period, as royalty such as King Duncan, and dignified people such as Macbeth and Banquo, speak in blank verse because they are treating each other in a dignified and formal manner that is befitting of royalty and people of high ... • 16. Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Minister s Black Veil In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Minister s Black Veil mystery plays a huge role when it comes to plot, and character development. At the end of this story the minister who is wearing the veil rhetorically asks, What but the mystery which it obscurely typifies has made this piece of crape so awful? (Hawthorne 1044). Hawthorne has built up this character so carefully and intensely to this point, to quite directly state that this veil on his face represents mystery. The minister also begs the question of, what else does it represent? Asking his congregation, who also persecuted him, to look deep in themselves and figure out the real reason for his apparel. The minister blatantly reveals that his veil typifies mystery in a sense where his congregation cannot keep themselves together, unless they know the absolute truth. Hawthorne uses this veil as a direct representation of mystery and self control, but he also uses it as a symbol of a divine controller, tying in spirituality and religion. Towards the beginning of the story the minister reveals himself looking different, as he wore an obvious black veil over his face. His audience hated the idea of his new look as they muttered amongst themselves, I don t like it, and Our parson has gone mad! (Hawthorne 1038). These two particular quotes obviously reveal the initial distaste for the veil, but it also shows that the congregation could not even control themselves, as they wondered why he wore this disgusting cover. For instance, he writes during the spring nights, fill your heart to the brim, and your eyes / too, / with longing and desire (551). The abstract emotional language in this quote, longing and desire work together to construct the hope for his loss of the beloved. In addition, in this quote, there is an exaggeration of being able to replete the heart with ideas, which is not possible; because the whim comes from the mind, not the heart. Therefore, this hyperbole adds an extra effect to amplify the duration of the longing for the loved one to further develop the theme of loss of the beloved. These teams would decide product formulation, market positioning, packaging, advertising, pricing and promotions, as well as finding the ways to reduce costs and increase profitability. In my opinion, this proposal has the following advantages: Eurobrand Teams modeled on the European Technical Teams that had proved so effective in the past. The aim is to highlight whether the terms psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder reflect the same construct or whether they differ. Furthermore, recommendations for treatment of criminal behavior will be explored. For the purposes of this evaluation some definitions need to be highlighted: Criminal offence is an act that breaks a law, which relates how to behave in society. In the 1980s, the committee who devised the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for the American Psychiatric Association recommended the term antisocial personality syndrome to be changed to antisocial personality disorder (Ellis Walsh, 2000).
