From Martin Luther King to Nelson Mandela and many more in between, people have tried to
encourage the condemnation of prejudice. Harper Lee and Mildred D. Taylor have tried to do this
using the medium of the novel. Many people would feel that the books could be set in the 19th
century due to the significance of the prejudice and racism involved. They are actually set in the
1930s and, whilst these childhood accounts were written in the second half of the 20th century, the
prejudice still existed at the time of writing and still occurs in inexcusable amounts today.

With staffing levels lower, more responsibility is put on the shoulders of one worker and that

A lot of stepping was involved as was the use of clapping. There was also a significant amount of
jumping. The dance felt both rustic and lively overall. Japan s performance, on the other hand, was
more of a slow paced routine. However, this did not make Japan s performance any less
entertaining. The four young women came out wearing what appeared to be shortened kimonos
and traditional fans in their hands. They stood in a line with one behind the other. Once the music

This experiment was designed to examine the efficacy of naturally occurring antimicrobials against
common bacteria located in a normal human microbiome. Three antimicrobials, Melaleuca
alternifolia (tea tree) oil, commercial honey, and Capsicum annuum (red chili pepper), were tested
on the gram negative Escherichia coli and the gram positive Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria.
Quantitative data was taken using the filter paper disk method to determine the zones of inhibition
produced by the three antimicrobials. The results collected showed that Melaleuca alternifolia (tea
tree) oil is an effective broad spectrum antimicrobial, while honey produced partial inhibition with
an outer ring of stimulation signifying that the honey is merely bacteriostatic for a short period of
time before growth reoccurs. The Capsicum annuum (red chili pepper) stimulated bacterial growth
indicating possible contamination or lack of antimicrobial properties.
