True Islam Has Been Hijacked
True Islam has been hijacked. The public image of the Muslim community, not only in America, but
globally, has been tainted by small groups of extremists. The extremists ideas stem from conservative
interpretations of the Quran, and are not as widely followed as most people assume. Some examples
from the Quran that extremists interpret differently than most often have to do with the term
disbelievers; Quran 48:29, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are
severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. The disbelievers in this verse refers to
those who persecuted and attacked Muslims, this is not a verse guiding Muslims to be unpleasant to
non Muslims; although it is interpreted that way. It only ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After the Golden Age, which is the age of the four rightfully guided caliphs, empires were established.
If Islam is likely to gain ground globally, he states that they must separate faith and state. Mr. Hamid
then goes on to state that this is unlikely to happen, because Sharia (Islam canonical law) is tied so
closely with the religion and state. The solution therefore, is stated that Islam should follow Western
pattern and separate faith and government. A partial reason that we continue to see Islam struggling
with separating their faith and government is, because some see Islam as a political ideology and think
it never was a religion since they never separated from the government. Another is more simply
because many Islamic states have tried numerous political ideologies, such as: communism,
secularism, democracy, tyranny, monarchy, and so on. Keeping Islam s separation issues in mind, the
first event to analyze is the Iranian Revolution, which led to the hostage crisis. The Iranian Revolution
was the result of persecuted Iranians who were tired of the current dynastic governance. The
Revolution was led by the Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and overthrew Mohammad Reza Shah
Pahlavi, who was friendly with the United States. The Revolution began in October, 1977 and lasted
until January, 1979, when Iran became an Islamic Republic. This is an important event in Westerners

Roller Coasters History
Click, click, click your almost to the top of the hill and then whoosh your flying down the track. Not
thinking about anything when really you put all your faith in a little cart connected to a metal track.
There are really three main points when looking at roller coasters the history, making, and thrill of the
coaster. The history of roller coasters is as important as any other step because the architects learn
from others mistakes and what they did right. The beginning of roller coasters started in Russia in the
1400 s when people would make hills with the snow and send there sleds down the hills. They would
build would towers to get to the top of the hill. In the 1700 s they put wheels on the bottom of the
sleds and would be able to go down artificial hills during the summer, they would also use different
colored lanterns so they could ride at night. The first roller coaster opened in 1804 in France. The
roller coasters didn t last long Do to the increase of speed and there not being enough safety, accidents
were very common. The roller coasters caught back on whenever Lamarcus Thompson built the
Gravity Switchback Railway ride at Coney Island. Development was at its highest in the 1920 s there
were over 1500 roller coasters in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If we didn t learn from the past then we wouldn t have any of the roller coasters we do now because it
is basically trial and error. We are able to build off what we have done in the past and make bigger and
better roller coasters. The making of roller coasters has also evolved over time and has become a more
sturdy structure for roller coasters now and in the future. Thrill you can t have a great roller coaster if
it s just boring it just doesn t work that s why there is people who spend hours a day creating these
concepts and everything else for them. We couldn t be were we are without all of those crucial

Career Outlook And Personal Considerations
In order to provide quality care, nurses must first be educated about the aspects of quality nursing.
Nurse educators are responsible for teaching future nurses of their scope of practice and how to serve
the public through proper medical interventions. Although all nurses serve as educators to their
patients, nursing educators in academics have a unique role in teaching the future of the nursing field.
This is accomplished by staying informed on current nursing advancements and evidence based
practices. Because nurses constantly educate their patients, becoming a nursing educator seems like a
natural transition from clinical nurse to instructor. This paper will examine the historical role,
qualifications, education and certifications ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This teaching model focuses on students learning to take care of themselves so they can better care for
patients (Masters, 2014). More recently, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN)
determined that preparing nurses for education as well as clinical and research (Scheckel, 2009). The
primary changes throughout modern history involve providing both clinical and theory education in
nursing programs (Hunt, 2012).
Qualifications and Experience
The major requirements for nurse educators are experience in the nursing field and higher education
degrees (Hebenstreit, 2012). The benefit of clinical experience of nursing instructors should not be
underscored (Hebenstreit, 2012). When nurse educators have worked in the field for a period of time,
they can better instruct students through personal experience (Fitzpatrick, 2014). Congruent with this
belief, requirements of nursing instructors include the registered nurse (RN) license and work under
that license for at least two years (Fitzpatrick, 2014). Registered nurses serve in various capacities, but
all specialties rely on a proper education (Fitzpatrick, 2014). Nurse educators are responsible for
producing competent, but hopefully excellent nurses.
Education
Because patients require care for all types of ailments, nurses must be provided proper and quality
education. Master degree in nursing is usually the minimum requirement (Hunt, 2012). Generally the

How is it consistent, verifiable and feasible?
The statement clearly indicates a time period of achieving the vision statement by the year 2030 which
makes it verifiable. PepsiCo also has a significant market share globally, with few immediate threats
in the form of competition, so being the singular most dominant supplier in this chain could be
considered feasible, as seen in the diagram below.
Hence, the vision statement keeps its consistency with PepsiCo s mission statement and values.
How is it inspirational?
Focusing on the words singular and most dominant , in PepsiCo s vision statement, all stakeholders
will be inspired and motivated to achieve more, work harder, and be greater than they already are. The

Ellen Foster, Lord Of The Flies, And To Kill A Mockingbird
This world is full of inspiring, thoughtful, and hardworking people. Its full of crises and hard life
decisions people make everyday. The books Ellen Foster, Lord of the Flies, and To Kill a Mockingbird
all capture these qualities of humankind. They are full of savagery, plane crashes, racial issues, child
abuse, and perseverance. All three novels connect by how tenacious people are when they are required
to overcome adversity.
In Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, there is a plane crash which abandoned a large amount of
boys with no parental guidance on an island stranded. The boys struggled to survive through the whole
book. The boys are desperate to eat something other than fruit, so they try and try to kill a pig, but
have a of trouble with it. These boys though did not give up. They surrounded the covert but the sow
got away with the sting of another spear in her flank. The trailing butts hindered her and the sharp,
cross cut points were a torment. She blundered into a tree, forcing a spear still deeper; and after that
any of the hunters could follow her easily by the drops of vivid blood .(Golding 196?) This quote
shows how determined the boys were to get meat. This scene was known as the rape scene because the
boys wanted to kill a pig so bad for the meat and the power. This book displayed the ability that boys
could survive on their own even though there might have been some major conflicts they had to face.

Electronic Technology In Marshall Mcluhan s The Medium Is...
The major advances in civilization are processes that all but wreck the societies in which they occur
(A.N Whitehead). Marshall Mcluhan, the author of The Medium is the Massage, would agree to this
and add that electronic technology is reshaping and restructuring patterns of social interdependence
and every aspect of our personal life (McLuhan, 8). He would argue that society has always been
shaped by the medium of the media affecting everything from government to family, leaving no part
of us untouched. Using the alphabet for example, is a technology which is absorbed at a very early age
in a completely unaware manner. Words and the meaning of words predispose the child to think and
act automatically in certain ways (McLuhan, 8). McLuhan would add that electronic technology does
this in the exact same way, as it encourages unification, involvement, and commitment. As we grow to
learn more about each other, [w]e have become irrevocably involved with, and responsible for, each
other (McLuhan, 24). If we don t conform McLuhan believes we will eventually enter into an Age of
Anxiety , where we ... do today s job with yesterday s tools with yesterday s concepts (McLuhan, 9).
This causes us to live in a rear view mirror society, and McLuhan says one must use tools of the
present to make sense of the present. George Orwell author of 1984 would have a lot to say about this
particular topic for instance, Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the

It was only a matter of time before mighty US imperialism was humiliatingly forced to withdraw. The
Tet Offensive took Americans by surprise, the major objectives had been to drive a wedge between the
Americans and the South Vietnamese. The attack on the US embassy was an attempt to show the
vulnerability of the American armed forces. The Vietcong had hoped that the Tet Offensive action and
the liberation of towns and cities would lead to an uprising against the US their belief was the South
Vietnamese soldiers were tired and weary soldiers, dislocated peasantry, fractious youth and widely
discontented layers of South Vietnamese society were ready to join the struggle. But unfortunately this

Harold Shipman s Personality
Harold Shipman Throughout a troubled childhood, Harold Shipman established a big headed and
egotistical attitude that eventually developed into a much larger problem of taking lives to fell in
power.
How one is raised from a young age can have a huge impact on their actions as an adult. When the
behaviors that they are taught are malevolent and immoral, they transfer into their life as they mature.
This seems to have been the case for Harold Shipman. He was born into a middle class family of five
in Nottingham; however, his household was not quite normal ( Harold Shipman ). Harold s mother
always favored him more than his siblings and taught him during his childhood that he was superior to
all others (Darwin). This prompted him to develop an egotistical and sarcastic attitude towards many
of his schoolmates and figures of authority (Darwin). A little while later in his life, when he was
seventeen to be exact, his mother became very ill. She was constantly in pain and agony. The doctors
eventually gave large amounts of morphine to ease the discomfort and she soon passed away (Batty).
Harold s mother dying could have been the trigger that lead to a life of murdering and his incessant
need for control. After graduating high school, Harold wished to expand his education. He applied and
was accepted at Leeds University Medical School (Darwin). However, the stress and fierce
completion of his schooling monumentally affected him. Because of this pressure to succeed, Harold

The Development Of A C20th Art Movement And Architectural...
Describe and evaluate the relationship and influences between an example of a C20th art movement
and architectural expression from the same period.
Constructivism arose in Russia in 1914 where Lenin and Marx s communist state supported and
advertised the artistic movement with the philosophy that it was the rebirth of the art world.
Constructivists held the communist belief that there should be no distinction between roles: artist,
architect and engineer were all to be the same. This worker character removed superiority within the
artistic or mathematical elements and allowed flow from one area to another, creating links between
art and architecture which had not previously existed. However, as the period progressed, Lenin s
ideas about the role of technology in society led to the functionality of artwork becoming more
prominent, thereby creating a shift towards architecture as a practical muse.
Vladimir Tatlin is possibly the most prominent example of the worker ideology. The Monument to the
Third International perhaps the most influential and important piece of constructivist architecture was
highly acclaimed and idealised as exemplifying constructivist concepts. Its use of modern raw
materials embodied the concept of Taktura, while its kinetic structure incorporated science into the
architecture, reflecting the idea that architecture should be purposeful or even machine like. Despite
Tatlin s name being at the forefront of the constructivist architectural scene,

But Matisse and Picasso proved to the society that rivalry isn t always negative, it also brings onboard
competition, inspiration, motivation, friendship and more. Ever after Gertrude Stein arranged a meet
between the two, Picasso and Matisse became rivals for the rest of their life. Both were influential
artist that have dominated the art of the twentieth century. Even though, they were rivals, Picasso and

According to the Steins, Matisse and Picasso are two gifted men whose temperaments and strengths
were more different. It was only natural that the two artists would see themselves as rivals. When the
two men meet, Matisse s career was beginning to take off. On March 19th, 1906, his second one man
show opened at a Private Gallery where he exhibited fifty five paintings, along with a number of
sculptures, watercolors, drawings, and lithographs. The paintings ranged in date from 1897 to the
current year, so the exhibition served as a retrospective that gave a clear idea of his art development.
For the 1906 Salon exhibition, Matisse only showed a single painting, Le Bonheur de vivre (Fig. 5),
which was the largest and most daring canvas he had ever done. Matisse s creation of The women

to have purposely set out this painting to create a shocking effect. That Matisse wanted his painting to

done in our time. And was hung up high in Gertrude and Leo s studio. Leo s high opinion of Le

2.2.1 Comparison of simulation results of three level five level H bridge multilevel inverter by mamta
N. kokate
The conventional two levels Inverter have many limitations for high voltage and high power
application. Multilevel inverter becomes very popular for high voltage and high power application.
The multilevel inverter is started with the three level converters. The elementary concept of a
multilevel converter to achieve higher power to use a series of power semiconductor switches with
several lower voltage dc source to perform the power conversion by synthesizing a staircase voltage
waveform. However, the output voltage is smoother with a three level converter, in which the output
voltage has three possible values. This results in smaller harmonics, but on the other hand it has more
components and is more complex to control. In this paper, study of different three level inverter
topologies and SPWM technique is explain and SPWM technique has been applied to formulate the
switching pattern for three level and five level H Bridge inverter that minimize the harmonic distortion
at the inverter output. This paper deals with comparison of simulation results of three levels and five

Questions On Initial Public Offerings
Isaac Smith Sinha: FIN 494 4/23/15 Initial Public Offerings Introduction: Initial Public Offerings are
when any type of security is sold to the public for the first time within a company s history. The main
reason for this is to hope that a liquid market will grow within this security, where people are trading
shares on a daily basis. The reason that I have decided to do research on IPO s is because it sounds
very simple, yet there are many things that must be done in order to reach a point to offer an IPO and
there are also many ups and downs for companies to weigh to see if it is worth taking their security to
the general public. Throughout this paper I will introduce to you why company s want to issue IPO s,
how they do it, and how they try to create the initial price per share. Along with those key ideas, I will
talk about why most IPO s are underpriced when they go to market, price changes once on the market,
and lockup agreements. Finally, I am going to give a few examples of recent IPO s such as Facebook
and Sportsman s Warehouse, and other IPO fallouts. Why do firms want to go public? As noted above
an IPO occurs when a security is sold to the public for the first time. Most firms start out generating
equity privately from a relatively low amount of investors. With this type of funding there is no liquid
market for any of the shareholders to sell their stock within a privately funded company. When
companies decide that they need to raise more capital than what

Lying is justified when it can be used to protect and care for others. What if someone had an ugly
dress but you like it but that person does like it.you have to tell them it s ugly so you don t hurt them
more if their going to a dance or on a date. The person that liked it is going to get their emotions hurt
because of you and the dress. The person that she s dancing with or going on a date with might not

What Is The Context Of Looking For Richard Resonate Over Time
Texts are shaped by their compositional context and thus offer new insights about the composer s era.
However, as there are ongoing concerns of humanity, key ideologies resonate over time and are
affirmed between texts as shown in William Shakespeare s play King Richard III (1591) and Al Pacino
s docudrama Looking For Richard (1996). King Richard III examines the irrational behaviours and
moral ramifications of a power lust Richard to explore ideas of the relentless pursuit of power,
betrayal and deceit, reflective of the theocentric context of the Elizabethan society. Centuries later,
Looking For Richard explores Pacino s journey to reshape a Shakespearean text that is representative
of the changing contextual norms and values of a contemporary American audience who are confused
and sceptical about the relevance of Shakespeare s plays. Both texts provide an image of Richard s
deceit reflective of their distinctive contexts. However, despite the disparity of time, both texts display
how key ideas such as deceit, endure and resonate over time.
Distinctive contexts have the capacity to offer new insights and understandings that can challenge and
drastically alter the portrayal of societal norms and values. Shakespeare critics the nature of the
relentless pursuit for power and authority and its effects, through the lens of Richard s ambitious but

Essay On Nacirema Culture
Cosmetics are a large part of the Nacirema culture, particularly for women. Cosmetics are geared
toward women so they can improve upon or even completely change their natural looks. Their goal is
often to make themselves fit the standard of beauty often shown in magazines, television or other
media.
Women are often expected to wear cosmetics as a way to enhance their appearance. This is because
appearance plays a large role in Nacirema culture. If you do not look a certain way, especially as a
female, you may be ostracized and condemned by others. Women are expected to make themselves
look attractive and presentable at all times, this is a double standard as the expectations are not the
same for men. While in a professional setting, both men and women are expected to dress formally,
but there is no push for men to enhance the features they were born with. Commercials for cosmetics
are aimed toward women, often regaling them with stories of how if they buy said product they will be
more successful in life, feel better about themselves or finally get the guy they ve been after.
This can tell us a lot about Nacirema beliefs. The biggest one being that women are, above ... Show

Research on How to Market a New Product
Marketing Research The topic for this study would be marketing. I would carry out a research on how
to market a new product in the industry. This research will bring together a worldview, strategies, and
methods of research. 1. Worldviews 1.1 Epistemology vs ontology Epistemology is a consideration of
what constitutes reality while ontology is the science or study of being (Blaikie 1993). This research
adopts constructionism as its epistemology perspective because it is very consistent with the research
nature in terms of its aims and objectives. This is because in constructivism, this research did not
describe the facts just as they actually are as in objectivity nor did it create something new as it is
consistent with subjectivity (Crotty, 2007). This research was thus built from a serious review and
analysis of all the available literature on marketing of new brands and entry into the market by many
scholars. Baike, (1993) describes epistemology as the theory or science of the methods or grounds of
knowledge of reality, the manner in which what exists can be known . In this research we try to
understand the position of my stand in respect to the theories drawn. 1.2 Positivism vs Interpretivism
There is a philosophical position in relation to the purpose and place of research in general. On the
basis of positivism researchers take a scientific perspective when observing social behavior, with an
objective analysis possible (Travers, 2001). It is important to note that

Scarlet Fever Research Paper
Disease: Scarlet fever
B. Scarlet fever is an acute and communicable disease. The symptoms associated with scarlet fever are
a red rash that feels like sandpaper, a sore throat, and a high fever. It is a disease that mainly affects
children who are 5 15 years old, but anyone can get scarlet fever. (CDC, 2017). Scarlet fever is
acquired through a bacterial infection caused by group A strep (CDC, 2017). This group A strep is the
same bacteria that causes strep throat (CDC, 2017). The fever is acquired when Group A strep bacteria
inhabits a person s nose and throat. Scarlet fever is caused by group A strep bacteria that is able to be
transmitted through contact with droplets from an infected person s sneeze or cough (CDC, 2017). In
addition, it could also spread when a person drinks from the same glass or eats from the same plate as
the person who is ill (CDC, 2017). This means that scarlet fever can be transmitted in an airborne or

Treatment: With scarlet fever, prevention is more important than intervention because there is no

useful because there help get rid of scarlet fever faster.

Rose Lilywhite Case Study
I have reviewed and summarized the provided medical records for Rose Lilywhite. I did find
inconsistencies concerning different accident dates, however, those can be explained by a simple
typing error. Additionally, I located other discrepancies scattered throughout the medical records. My
concerns and comments are outlined below. 1. Dr. Larry Swan mentions Greater Valley Clinic charts
as a source of information. We do not have those records. Greater Valley Clinic, March 15, 2005, page
32 2. During the appointment with Dr. Swan, Rose states her head had hit the windshield twice. This
is the first, and only time hitting the windshield twice had been mentioned. Greater Valley Clinic,

I believe Sunshine Therapy Associates have additional records that we don t have. The physical
therapy entries are on odd numbered visits only. Sunshine Therapy Associates, February March 2005,
pages 51 61 13. Rose asked Dr. Turnblad if her injuries were permanent. He told her from how much
time has passed and her physical findings, there is permanency to her injuries. Turnblad Spine Clinic,
January 11, 2006, page 69 14. Dr. Turnblad prescribed Rose Ultram on January 11, 2006. There is no
mention of this medication when she had provided you her medications. Turnblad Spine Clinic,
January 11,2006, page 69 Rose has made statements that are not entirely true when speaking with her
treating physicians. Whether is was purely accidental on her part because she didn t fully understand
her diagnosis, or if she was trying to be deceptive, but either way that could be very disastrous for her
case. Consequently, Rose does not look like a very reliable source, and I fear the jury will not believe
her. The missing medical records may answer some of the unanswered questions, in conjunction with
the original intake records for Fontaine. There were notes written on a document from Fontaine

EAP Position Statement Analysis: Emergency Planning This paper is analyzing an article called
National Athletic Trainers Association Position Statement: Emergency Planning in Athletics. A short
summary will be provided. Key points from the article will be mentioned. Deciding on whether or not
the article should have changes to become better will be described. Reasons why athletic trainers
should read the article will be explained. Lastly a conclusion of the paper will be stated.
The authors start off by stating how some unpredictable accidents can happen to athletes. Then the
authors went straight to the main idea. Emergency plans need to be made or there will be some
problems. NATA s emergency planning position in athletics was ... Show more content on

One point was about why emergency plans are needed in the world of athletics. The second point was
about emergency plan components. The third point was about the emergency plan being implemented.
The main ideas were reviewed, the next topic will be about if any changes need to be made to the
article or not.
The article does not need anything else added because it is long enough. If the article was longer, most
of the audience reading the information would probably begin to lose attention. The authors explained
the information in detail, provided a few examples, and kept the article a nice length. The article does
not need to be changed; the next topic will be about why athletic trainers should read the article.
The article is informing athletic trainers about the importance of emergency planning. Athletic trainers
should read the article so they can know the rules they need to follow. Even if athletic trainers think
they know the rules, they should read the article because they may learn something new. If they did
not learn anything new after reading, a least they got a refresher. The article could save athletic
trainers from getting a lawsuit and from them losing their job. The importance of why athletic trainers
should read the article has been discussed; next will be the conclusion of this

Wind Power s Power to Create Electricity Essay
Earth, as of today, is a world run by fuels and electricity. Every man, woman, and child is directly
affect by them, whether it is by its consumption, uses, or price. One of the more recent sources for
these fuels and electricity isn t actually very recent at all. Wind Energy, or Wind Power when it is
being converted into a useful form of energy, has actually been around for thousands of years. It has
been used to push ships, as natural ventilation, and to pump seawater.{Insert thesis Here}

Later, wind energy served mankind by energising his grain grinding mills and water pumps. During its
transformation from these crude and heavy devices to today s efficient and sophisticated machines, the
technology went through various phases of development....The earliest documented design of wind
mill dates back to 200 B.C. The Persians used wind mills from grinding grains during this period.
(Sathyajith Mathew 2) By the 14th Century, Windmills were being used as tools to drain the Rhine
delta by the Dutch. In the 1900s, the massive amount of windmills in Denmark was producing roughly
30 Megawatts of electricity. That is roughly enough electricity to power a small to medium sized
town. It is also enough to provide power to any one of these: 8,000 average homes, 400 fast food
restaurants, 60 large retail stores, 50 grocery stores, 40 large home improvement stores, 2 Sears
towers, 1 computer data center. The efficiency of a windmill, or the more modern wind turbine is one
of the most critical factors of production. With some certain wind turbines, the efficiency can and may
degrade slightly over time, but the time it takes for the production value to drop 10% is almost 20
years after the construction of that turbine, and even with that, not all turbines will degrade at that rate.
Also, not all of the energy of the blowing wind is useable, because as the scientific law of the
conservation of mass states that as much mass that enters the wind turbine must also exit

In 1814 when a young Thomas was visiting his family, he noticed a young girl with no friends. When

Attempts to Unite the American Colonies before the...
Since the founding of the Thirteen Colonies, the colonists enjoyed a degree of autonomy and self
sufficiency from the mother country, England. The colonies had colonial assemblies, which were more
democratic than England s and were independent governments. British mercantilist laws were not
strictly enforced due to the policy commonly referred to as salutary neglect. However, as the British
increasingly ignore the problems the colonies faced, the colonies began to look for a common
government to lead them. This eventually led to three distinct efforts at intercolonial cooperation and
union: The New England Confederation, Penn s Plan of Union, and The Albany Plan of Union.
Therefore, although there were unsuccessful attempts to unite the ... Show more content on

However, according to the document, attempts by Massachusetts to dominate the alliance caused the
other members to end their participation. The confederation continued until 1684, when it was
dissolved, after an existence of forty one years. The New England Confederation was a small first step
toward formal cooperation among the colonies, but attempts by one of the colonies to violate the pact
helped to break the fragile union. Unlike the New England Confederation, Penn s Plan of Union was
never implemented. However, the plan would unify the colonies in many ways if it were to be
executed. According to Penn s Plan of Union, the colonies would meet at least once a year; there will
be a Congress to resolve issues, and a High Commissioner to govern the Congress of Union. There
will also be a common justice system to link the colonies further. Nevertheless, the plan will not be
utilized due to distrust among colonies, but it did reflect a need for a common government. One of the
last of the colonial plans of union to be considered before the outbreak of the American Revolution
was the Albany Plan of Union. Proposed by Benjamin Franklin, the plan called for a single executive
to be appointed by the King, who would be responsible for Indian relations, military preparedness, and
execution of laws regulating various trade and financial activities. It called for a Grand Council to be

The Religions Of The Middle East
Abrahamic religions, religions that derive from the biblical character Abraham, have three main
religions in the group. The first, and oldest, is Judaism, founded several thousand years ago in the
Middle East; then there is Christianity, the most popular religion in the world, which was founded
shortly after the death of Christ; finally, there is Islam, the second most popular religion in the world,
founded by the prophet Muhammed in the 7th century ACE. Islam has over one billion followers of
the Islamic faith. Although it is one of the most popular religions in the world, many people do not
know much about what Muslims, followers of Islam, believe in. Due to the rising publicity of militant
terrorist groups in the Middle East, Islamophobia has become rampant in many first world countries.
Although the media portrays violent and barbaric acts performed by militant Muslims, a majority of
Muslims do not commit such atrocities and are wrongly persecuted. Only by educating those who do
not know about Islam, can it be assured that Islamophobia will dwindle.
Islam was founded in Saudi Arabia by a prophet named Muhammed. Muhammed is considered to be
the greatest prophet in the Muslim faith, the second greatest prophet in the Muslim faith is considered
to be Jesus Christ himself. The one main, significant difference between Islam and Christianity is that
Muslims do not see Christ as being the Lord, they believe that only Allah, the Arabic name for God, is
the one, true lord.

Jainism And Buddhism Comparison
Same:
Buddhism and Jainism share numerous aspects of sameness within their faith paths, these include but
are not limited to geographical and very possibly Clan origin, the use of monastery as an order of
hierarchy, a quest for enlightenment, and non theism.
Jainism and Buddhism both originate from the Indus Valley Civilization, with Mahavira and the
Buddha living in the time frame of 500 BCE. Jainism s major teach for this age is Mahavira or
Mahavir (The Great Hero). He was a contemporary of the Buddha and died approximately 527 BCE.
(4) Much like the Buddha, Mahavira was also a prince of the Kshatrya clan. While we do have more
information about Mahavira, there are few factual details of the Buddha s life, as his teachings were
likely not written down until several hundred years later.
Next, let s explore the foundations of the Jain and Buddhist teachings. The Jain teaching recognize
that we humans are imperfect, but hold out the promise that through careful control of our sense and
thoughts we can attain perfection, freedom, and happiness. (1) The Buddha taught about earthly
suffering and it s cure...that liberation from suffering depends on our own efforts. The Buddha taught
that by understand how we create suffering for ourselves we can become free. (2) It appears that the
Jain approach is one of acknowledging imperfection with the intention of reaching perfection through
control of senses and thoughts we can reach kevala (3), this approach creates the

  • 2. True Islam Has Been Hijacked True Islam has been hijacked. The public image of the Muslim community, not only in America, but globally, has been tainted by small groups of extremists. The extremists ideas stem from conservative interpretations of the Quran, and are not as widely followed as most people assume. Some examples from the Quran that extremists interpret differently than most often have to do with the term disbelievers; Quran 48:29, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. The disbelievers in this verse refers to those who persecuted and attacked Muslims, this is not a verse guiding Muslims to be unpleasant to non Muslims; although it is interpreted that way. If Islam is likely to gain ground globally, he states that they must separate faith and state. Mr. Hamid then goes on to state that this is unlikely to happen, because Sharia (Islam canonical law) is tied so closely with the religion and state. The solution therefore, is stated that Islam should follow Western pattern and separate faith and government. A partial reason that we continue to see Islam struggling with separating their faith and government is, because some see Islam as a political ideology and think it never was a religion since they never separated from the government. Another is more simply because many Islamic states have tried numerous political ideologies, such as: communism, secularism, democracy, tyranny, monarchy, and so on. Keeping Islam s separation issues in mind, the first event to analyze is the Iranian Revolution, which led to the hostage crisis. The Iranian Revolution was the result of persecuted Iranians who were tired of the current dynastic governance. The Revolution was led by the Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and overthrew Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, who was friendly with the United States. The Revolution began in October, 1977 and lasted until January, 1979, when Iran became an Islamic Republic. This is an important event in Westerners perceptions of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Not thinking about anything when really you put all your faith in a little cart connected to a metal track. There are really three main points when looking at roller coasters the history, making, and thrill of the coaster. The history of roller coasters is as important as any other step because the architects learn from others mistakes and what they did right. The beginning of roller coasters started in Russia in the 1400 s when people would make hills with the snow and send there sleds down the hills. They would build would towers to get to the top of the hill. In the 1700 s they put wheels on the bottom of the sleds and would be able to go down artificial hills during the summer, they would also use different colored lanterns so they could ride at night. The first roller coaster opened in 1804 in France. The roller coasters didn t last long Do to the increase of speed and there not being enough safety, accidents were very common. The roller coasters caught back on whenever Lamarcus Thompson built the Gravity Switchback Railway ride at Coney Island. Nurse educators are responsible for teaching future nurses of their scope of practice and how to serve the public through proper medical interventions. Although all nurses serve as educators to their patients, nursing educators in academics have a unique role in teaching the future of the nursing field. This is accomplished by staying informed on current nursing advancements and evidence based practices. The primary changes throughout modern history involve providing both clinical and theory education in nursing programs (Hunt, 2012). Qualifications and Experience The major requirements for nurse educators are experience in the nursing field and higher education degrees (Hebenstreit, 2012). The benefit of clinical experience of nursing instructors should not be underscored (Hebenstreit, 2012). When nurse educators have worked in the field for a period of time, they can better instruct students through personal experience (Fitzpatrick, 2014). Congruent with this belief, requirements of nursing instructors include the registered nurse (RN) license and work under that license for at least two years (Fitzpatrick, 2014). Registered nurses serve in various capacities, but all specialties rely on a proper education (Fitzpatrick, 2014). • 8. Ellen Foster, Lord Of The Flies, And To Kill A Mockingbird This world is full of inspiring, thoughtful, and hardworking people. Its full of crises and hard life decisions people make everyday. The books Ellen Foster, Lord of the Flies, and To Kill a Mockingbird all capture these qualities of humankind. They are full of savagery, plane crashes, racial issues, child abuse, and perseverance. All three novels connect by how tenacious people are when they are required to overcome adversity. In Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, there is a plane crash which abandoned a large amount of boys with no parental guidance on an island stranded. The boys struggled to survive through the whole book. The boys are desperate to eat something other than fruit, so they try and try to kill a pig, but have a of trouble with it. These boys though did not give up. They surrounded the covert but the sow got away with the sting of another spear in her flank. The trailing butts hindered her and the sharp, cross cut points were a torment. She blundered into a tree, forcing a spear still deeper; and after that any of the hunters could follow her easily by the drops of vivid blood .(Golding 196?) This quote shows how determined the boys were to get meat. This scene was known as the rape scene because the boys wanted to kill a pig so bad for the meat and the power. This book displayed the ability that boys could survive on their own even though there might have been some major conflicts they had to face. In Ellen Foster by Kaye Gibbons, Ellen Foster, ... Marshall Mcluhan, the author of The Medium is the Massage, would agree to this and add that electronic technology is reshaping and restructuring patterns of social interdependence and every aspect of our personal life (McLuhan, 8). He would argue that society has always been shaped by the medium of the media affecting everything from government to family, leaving no part of us untouched. Using the alphabet for example, is a technology which is absorbed at a very early age in a completely unaware manner. Words and the meaning of words predispose the child to think and act automatically in certain ways (McLuhan, 8). McLuhan would add that electronic technology does this in the exact same way, as it encourages unification, involvement, and commitment. Harold Shipman s Personality Harold Shipman Throughout a troubled childhood, Harold Shipman established a big headed and egotistical attitude that eventually developed into a much larger problem of taking lives to fell in power. How one is raised from a young age can have a huge impact on their actions as an adult. When the behaviors that they are taught are malevolent and immoral, they transfer into their life as they mature. This seems to have been the case for Harold Shipman. He was born into a middle class family of five in Nottingham; however, his household was not quite normal ( Harold Shipman ). Harold s mother always favored him more than his siblings and taught him during his childhood that he was superior to all others (Darwin). This prompted him to develop an egotistical and sarcastic attitude towards many of his schoolmates and figures of authority (Darwin). A little while later in his life, when he was seventeen to be exact, his mother became very ill. She was constantly in pain and agony. The doctors eventually gave large amounts of morphine to ease the discomfort and she soon passed away (Batty). Harold s mother dying could have been the trigger that lead to a life of murdering and his incessant need for control. After graduating high school, Harold wished to expand his education. • 13. The Development Of A C20th Art Movement And Architectural... Describe and evaluate the relationship and influences between an example of a C20th art movement and architectural expression from the same period. Constructivism arose in Russia in 1914 where Lenin and Marx s communist state supported and advertised the artistic movement with the philosophy that it was the rebirth of the art world. Constructivists held the communist belief that there should be no distinction between roles: artist, architect and engineer were all to be the same. This worker character removed superiority within the artistic or mathematical elements and allowed flow from one area to another, creating links between art and architecture which had not previously existed. However, as the period progressed, Lenin s ideas about the role of technology in society led to the functionality of artwork becoming more prominent, thereby creating a shift towards architecture as a practical muse. Vladimir Tatlin is possibly the most prominent example of the worker ideology. The Monument to the Third International perhaps the most influential and important piece of constructivist architecture was highly acclaimed and idealised as exemplifying constructivist concepts. Its use of modern raw materials embodied the concept of Taktura, while its kinetic structure incorporated science into the architecture, reflecting the idea that architecture should be purposeful or even machine like. It was only natural that the two artists would see themselves as rivals. When the two men meet, Matisse s career was beginning to take off. On March 19th, 1906, his second one man show opened at a Private Gallery where he exhibited fifty five paintings, along with a number of sculptures, watercolors, drawings, and lithographs. The paintings ranged in date from 1897 to the current year, so the exhibition served as a retrospective that gave a clear idea of his art development. For the 1906 Salon exhibition, Matisse only showed a single painting, Le Bonheur de vivre (Fig. 5), which was the largest and most daring canvas he had ever done. Matisse s creation of The women with the hat (Fig. 3) had unexpectedly shocked people, but with le Bonheur de vivre. Multilevel inverter becomes very popular for high voltage and high power application. The multilevel inverter is started with the three level converters. The elementary concept of a multilevel converter to achieve higher power to use a series of power semiconductor switches with several lower voltage dc source to perform the power conversion by synthesizing a staircase voltage waveform. However, the output voltage is smoother with a three level converter, in which the output voltage has three possible values. This results in smaller harmonics, but on the other hand it has more components and is more complex to control. In this paper, study of different three level inverter topologies and SPWM technique is explain and SPWM technique has been applied to formulate the switching pattern for three level and five level H Bridge inverter that minimize the harmonic distortion at the inverter output. • 16. Questions On Initial Public Offerings Isaac Smith Sinha: FIN 494 4/23/15 Initial Public Offerings Introduction: Initial Public Offerings are when any type of security is sold to the public for the first time within a company s history. The main reason for this is to hope that a liquid market will grow within this security, where people are trading shares on a daily basis. The reason that I have decided to do research on IPO s is because it sounds very simple, yet there are many things that must be done in order to reach a point to offer an IPO and there are also many ups and downs for companies to weigh to see if it is worth taking their security to the general public. Throughout this paper I will introduce to you why company s want to issue IPO s, how they do it, and how they try to create the initial price per share. Along with those key ideas, I will talk about why most IPO s are underpriced when they go to market, price changes once on the market, and lockup agreements. Finally, I am going to give a few examples of recent IPO s such as Facebook and Sportsman s Warehouse, and other IPO fallouts. Why do firms want to go public? As noted above an IPO occurs when a security is sold to the public for the first time. Most firms start out generating equity privately from a relatively low amount of investors. With this type of funding there is no liquid market for any of the shareholders to sell their stock within a privately funded company. However, as there are ongoing concerns of humanity, key ideologies resonate over time and are affirmed between texts as shown in William Shakespeare s play King Richard III (1591) and Al Pacino s docudrama Looking For Richard (1996). King Richard III examines the irrational behaviours and moral ramifications of a power lust Richard to explore ideas of the relentless pursuit of power, betrayal and deceit, reflective of the theocentric context of the Elizabethan society. Centuries later, Looking For Richard explores Pacino s journey to reshape a Shakespearean text that is representative of the changing contextual norms and values of a contemporary American audience who are confused and sceptical about the relevance of Shakespeare s plays. Both texts provide an image of Richard s deceit reflective of their distinctive contexts. However, despite the disparity of time, both texts display how key ideas such as deceit, endure and resonate over time. Distinctive contexts have the capacity to offer new insights and understandings that can challenge and drastically alter the portrayal of societal norms and values. Cosmetics are geared toward women so they can improve upon or even completely change their natural looks. Their goal is often to make themselves fit the standard of beauty often shown in magazines, television or other media. Women are often expected to wear cosmetics as a way to enhance their appearance. This is because appearance plays a large role in Nacirema culture. If you do not look a certain way, especially as a female, you may be ostracized and condemned by others. Women are expected to make themselves look attractive and presentable at all times, this is a double standard as the expectations are not the same for men. While in a professional setting, both men and women are expected to dress formally, but there is no push for men to enhance the features they were born with. Commercials for cosmetics are aimed toward women, often regaling them with stories of how if they buy said product they will be more successful in life, feel better about themselves or finally get the guy they ve been after. • 21. Research on How to Market a New Product Marketing Research The topic for this study would be marketing. I would carry out a research on how to market a new product in the industry. This research will bring together a worldview, strategies, and methods of research. 1. Worldviews 1.1 Epistemology vs ontology Epistemology is a consideration of what constitutes reality while ontology is the science or study of being (Blaikie 1993). This research adopts constructionism as its epistemology perspective because it is very consistent with the research nature in terms of its aims and objectives. This is because in constructivism, this research did not describe the facts just as they actually are as in objectivity nor did it create something new as it is consistent with subjectivity (Crotty, 2007). This research was thus built from a serious review and analysis of all the available literature on marketing of new brands and entry into the market by many scholars. Baike, (1993) describes epistemology as the theory or science of the methods or grounds of knowledge of reality, the manner in which what exists can be known . In this research we try to understand the position of my stand in respect to the theories drawn. 1.2 Positivism vs Interpretivism There is a philosophical position in relation to the purpose and place of research in general. On the basis of positivism researchers take a scientific perspective when observing social behavior, with an objective analysis possible (Travers, 2001). It is important to note that ... Later, wind energy served mankind by energising his grain grinding mills and water pumps. During its transformation from these crude and heavy devices to today s efficient and sophisticated machines, the technology went through various phases of development....The earliest documented design of wind mill dates back to 200 B.C. The Persians used wind mills from grinding grains during this period. (Sathyajith Mathew 2) By the 14th Century, Windmills were being used as tools to drain the Rhine delta by the Dutch. In the 1900s, the massive amount of windmills in Denmark was producing roughly 30 Megawatts of electricity. That is roughly enough electricity to power a small to medium sized town. It is also enough to provide power to any one of these: 8,000 average homes, 400 fast food restaurants, 60 large retail stores, 50 grocery stores, 40 large home improvement stores, 2 Sears towers, 1 computer data center. The efficiency of a windmill, or the more modern wind turbine is one of the most critical factors of production. With some certain wind turbines, the efficiency can and may degrade slightly over time, but the time it takes for the production value to drop 10% is almost 20 years after the construction of that turbine, and even with that, not all turbines will degrade at that rate. Also, not all of the energy of the blowing wind is useable, because as the scientific law of the conservation of mass states that as much mass that enters the wind turbine must also exit ...
