INNOVATION
An innovation in learning occurs in a specific teaching and learning context,
improving upon the implementation of the standard practice or introducing a
new practice, thus achieving greater learning outcomes.
Definition: “Innovative teaching is a proactive approach to integrate new
teaching strategies and methods into a classroom.
"Most people tire of a lecture in ten minutes;
clever people can do it in five.
Sensible people never go to lectures at all."
Stephen Leacock: Discovery of England (1922)
Why is innovation important in teaching?
It makes collaboration easier. Students, teachers, and parents can communicate
and collaborate more effectively. It helps to build technology-based skills,
allowing students to learn, early on, to embrace and take advantage of the tools
technology offers.
Examples of product innovations:
Lego has been changing the materials of its famous bricks to biodegradable
oil-based plastics.
The first electric vehicles introduced in the car's market were also an
innovation, and new batteries with longer ranges that keep coming out are
also an example of innovation.
PLASTIC, PENICILLIN,
DESIGN THINKING IN CHEMISTY
Examples in Design Thinking
- Paste
- Food materials
- Painting
- Vehicles
- Dress
- Cosmetics
- Toys
STARTUPS IN CHEMISTRY
entrepreneur
An entrepreneur is an individual who takes the risk to
start their own business based on an idea they have or a
product they have created while assuming most of the
risks and reaping most of the rewards of the business.
Common jobs for entrepreneurs include those in
marketing, business development and management.
Chemistry entrepreneurship, a subset of academic
entrepreneurship; it involves the process of converting
innovations in Chemistry into marketable products for
commercial gain. It enables Chemists to take their work
beyond publications in academic journals by patenting
and commercializing them for economic gains.
INTELLCTUAL PPOPERTY RIGHTS (IPR)
Intellectual Property Right is exclusive right is granted by government of
India for protection originality of work of inventor.
Simple intellectual property right is intangible creation of human mind. In this
intellectual Property right includes in Patent, Trademark, Trades crates,
Industrial design, Layout design and Copyright oriented rights.
Intellectual right is important for maintaining the quality, safety, efficacy of
any Pharmaceutical product and services.
It is certification authority and standard authority for certification and
identification of product in would wide market.
This intellectual property right is the rights given to people over the creation
of their minds. They usually give the creator an exclusive right over the use
of his/her creations for a certain period of time. Intellectual property refers to
creations of the mind, inventions in artistic, literary, scientific and industrial
field.
