1.1 Explain The Difference Between Sequence Of Development...
Explain the difference between sequence of development and rate of development and why the
difference is important.
All Children follow very similar pattern of growth and development. For e.g. Physical development
begins with baby holding its head followed by turning over, crawling, sitting and eventually walking
by the age of 12 18months. Most children follow these steps of physical development, some start
walking before their first birthday while some may start walking independently when they are
18months old or even later. Similarly, communicational development begins when baby cries to seek
attention or convey discomfort, then gradually responds carer with sounds like coo , ooh , etc. At the
age of 9months child starts saying simple words like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It Is important to understand why the child is not developing like other children in case a milestone is
not achieved by the expected age. Delays in one aspect can have a domino effect on the other
development. Communicational delays affect many aspects of life. If a child continues babbling or
stammering, he/she could be targeted by peers, get bullied or made fun of. This affects child s social
and emotional development. If a child s motor skills are not developed then he/she could face
problems with writing, handling equipment and other motor skills. Sequence of development also
guides professional at what rate an individual development is expected. If a milestone is not achieved,
then they have to identify the causes of delays. In learning environment professionals can device an
individual support plan to help the child develop and reach full potentials.
The individual support plan is prepared, followed and monitored by specialists, teachers and teaching
assistants depending on the reasons of delays.
Following are some ways in which development can be supported by teachers and teaching

Military Ethics And The Military
Military ethics encompass a wide range of things. In the contemporary world, military ethics include
all facets of military behavior, from issuing regular reviews on juniors to relations of those in the
military with civilians to matters related to war. Currently, the world has witnessed technological
advancements in various sectors including the military. Indeed, battles between different nations have
become dominated by highly advanced weaponry especially when developed nations are involved. It
is these developments that have raised concerns over the use of highly sophisticated and deadly
weapons. Military ethics dictate how certain weapons should be used and circumstances under which
the military can use lethal force. Different nations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Military ethics, therefore, serve to ensure that only weapons that are universally accepted are used in
war (Gale, 2016). One fundamental principle of just war customs refers to efforts to make war as
compassionate as probable even for the military personnel. The Geneva resolution principles require
that soldiers who lay down their arms during battles be eligible for benevolent confinement by their
imprisoners. The captors are needed to provide them with food, medical care, and housing. Underlying
these ethics is the commonly shared belief that fighter is an impermanent status overriding an essential
common humanity of rivals. Humanitarian concerns over soldiers in the traditional military morals is
demonstrated by attempts to do away with weapons considered to be inhumane. Such efforts began
when the medieval church banned the crossbow since it was perceived to be too accurate and lethal
over long distances. Current world leaders and military leaders have categorized blinding lasers,
hollow point bullets, and the asphyxiating gas as unethical classes of technology that should not be
employed in war. Besides dictating how the military as a whole should conduct itself, military ethics
govern how military personnel should behave. Rules of conduct provide guidelines to those in the
military on standards of behavioral ethics. Those found culpable of violating the ethics are liable for
prosecution under the uniform code of military justice.

Pascal s Wager
Modern debates over religion, more specifically God, focus primarily on whether or not sufficient
evidence exists to either prove or disprove the existence of a God. Disbelievers such as biologist
Richard Hawkins tend to point to the indisputable facts of evolution and the abundance of scientific
evidence which seem to contradict many aspects of religion. Conversely, believers such as Dr. A. E.
Wilder Smith describe the controversial aspects of science, and how the only possible solution to
everything is a supreme being. However, mathematician and philosopher Blaise Pascal refused to
make either type of argument; he believed that it was impossible to determine God s existence for
certainty through reason. Instead, he suggested that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However each one of these is a faulty argument.
Arguments 1 and 2 only takes into consideration two choices for religion, Roman Catholicism or
atheism. However, numerous other faiths exist today, and regardless of the amount of evidence which
may support or refute one faith or another, let us assume each to be equally as likely as the other.
Since Pascal s Wager fails to tell us which God to believe in, we end up with a great probability that
we picked the wrong religion and go to some other religion s version of Hell (Bendz). With an
increasing number of potential faiths or religions, the probability of believing in the right God (or even
Gods) likewise becomes increasingly small. Therefore, we have an increased probability of choosing
the wrong God, and as a result, we miss out on the eternal happiness from one religion and instead
receive the eternal torment of another. Similarly, varying religions have different concepts of afterlife.
For example, Hinduism and Buddhism believe in the rebirth and reincarnation of souls, in which the
actions one engages in throughout their life simply accumulate to either good or bad karma. Therefore
eternal happiness would not truly exist in these religions, but instead happiness would be finite and a
result of good actions, not a

Synthesis Essay Snow
Ever thought of snow being more than just stuff that falls from the sky to be made into snowmen, to
start snowball fights, and etc.. when it is much more? Snow is water vapor which later forms into
matter as ice crystals that descend from the sky and build up as a white, ice cold blanket over land.
Snow, unlike most natural materials whom absorb some sunlight, snow reflects the light creating its
white appearance to most. Snow is much more than just fun, keep in mind the unpredictable fallings,
the dangers, and effects on wildlife with the bringing of snow.
One thing that makes snow unique is that it is unpredictable and no one will know when it will fall,
which makes it hard to forecast. In the article it says, Because conditions ... Show more content on

Because of snow being unpredictable, there is no telling how thick the snow may fall which then
creates dangers to those in cars, Traveling by automobile can become difficult or even impossible due
to whiteout conditions and drifting snow. The strong winds and low temperatures accompanying
blizzards can combine to create other dangers (Source #2). For this reason, traveling can be dangerous
if the snowfall is severely falling down at a fast rate. As a matter of fact, snow can be harmful for
everyone who s involved which can affect the vehicles and life. In addition to snow being dangerous
to travelers, it is also just as dangerous to those who tend to just go outside for a quick walk raising the
chances of frostbite and hypothermia, Frostbite is a severe reaction to cold exposure that can
permanently damage its victim. Hypothermia is a condition brought on when the body temperature
drops dangerously low, and can be fatal if not caught in time, (Source #2) As seen above, frostbite is
incredibly dangerous to encounter and may leave permanent damage to the defenseless victims of the
cold. Snow is not just something to be playing in all the time and spending time out sitting in it
because it is fun to some, these are only two of many dangerous outcomes that come from being in
snow for too long of a time. As can be seen, snow is not all fun and games, it also affects wildlife in

How Does Edgar Allan Poe Use Allusions In The Raven
Dark romantic writers explores the evil sides of humanity, such as Edgar Allan Poe, when he exposes
readers to the dangers of loss and isolation. One midnight when the narrator was reminiscing over his
lost Lenore, a raven flew in his window and confronted him. He loses himself and reality the more he
talks with the raven, as he longs to see his lost love, Lenore. In stanza fourteen of The Raven, Poe uses
several allusions and imagery to show the narrator s growing mental instability and paranoia due to
living in solitude and his never ending love for the missed Lenore. Poe uses imagery to identify the
point when the narrator starts going crazy. The narrator first imagines the air thickening, and perfume
filling the air. He notices, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer (Poe 79). He fantasizes
a nice scent in the air, that is not there. He then hears footsteps in another room, which Poe describes it
by using figurative language to appeal to the hearing sense. Foot falls tinkled on the tufted floor (Poe
80). While staring at the raven, the narrator believes that there is something else in his house, creating
the scent of perfume and making the footsteps. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the belief that something else besides himself and the raven are in the narrator s house, he
imagines that the footsteps were swung by Seraphim (Poe 80). It is an allusion to mystic creatures in
the Bible, who circles God and praises him. He thinks that they have come to visit him and to take his
pain away. Another allusion that Poe makes is the narrator s wish for Nepenthe, a drink to forget all
sorrows and banish grief. Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore! (Poe 83). In
Homer s The Odyssey, nepenthe is used on Helen to make her forget her home. The narrator in The
Raven wishes for the drug, so he can forget about Lenore, his remorse for her, and the ominous

Kramer Vs Kramer Summary
Upon reviewing the film Kramer vs. Kramer, I will provide a brief summary and cover self esteem,
sympathy, and psychological interferences.
The movie Kramer vs. Kramer follows a young married couple living in New York. The wife s name
is Joanna Kramer and the husband is Ted Kramer. Through the first few scenes of the movie you find
out that Joanna is very depressed due to her marriage and decides to file for divorce. This leaves Ted
with the tremendous task of caring for their young son Billy. All the while he must maintain a job and
build a relationship with his son.
First let s look at self esteem and how it plays a role in the film. Self esteem is how confident we are
In ourselves, and our abilities to do things. In the film Joanna has very low self esteem. When Joanna
decides to get a divorce from Ted she blames herself. She claims that she was an awful wife. She also
believes that Ted was unhappy during the marriage due to her. Another example of Joanna s low self
esteem is when she comes back to talk to Ted over dinner a few months after she left him. Joanna tells
Ted that she felt she was an unfit mother. This caused her to leave her only child behind. ... Show

Sympathy is feeling pity for another person s situation. When Joanna leaves Ted we are introduced to
another character Margaret. Margaret is one of Joanna s best friends. Through the movie Margaret and
Ted begin getting closer and closer. Ted often expresses how horrible he feels for Margaret after her ex
husband Charlie walked out on her. Margaret also shows sympathy towards Ted s situation. Due to
Ted always being at work he was never really able to learn how to be a parent. So, Margaret steps in
and helps care for Billy. She even promises to take Billy if anything were to happen to Ted in the near

Product Liability Case
To the extent that private prisons, Private Probation companies,, and Military contractors have to pay
tort claims for negligence, assault and battery, wrongful death, and other actions, these costs will be
reflected in the fees these companies charge to the government agencies that hire them. Ultimately
these costs are borne by the taxpayer. Products liability is another area of tort law that impacts
American society. Under product liability manufacturers, suppliers, Distributors, and retailers can be
held liable for injuries caused buy their products. Greenman v. Yuba Power Products (1963) 59 C2d

defective, that there was actual and proximate causation of the plaintiff s injuries resulting from the

Chaucer s Grecian Satire Of Chivalrous Knighthood
Chaucer s Grecian Satire of Chivalrous Knighthood Chivalry, a honorable and noble code of conduct
developed by knighthood for knighthood. It was a set of rules and morals for knights to adhere to and
follow, and it was developed in the middle ages in the years 1170 through 1220. But by the time
Chaucer wrote the Canterbury tales in the year 1400 chivalry s light was beginning wane. And perhaps
Chaucer s story had something to do with its decline because, when Chaucer tells the Knights tail his
story is a satire, he pokes fun at the old fashioned values of chivalry and the knights code of honor.
Chaucer s portrayal of the knights tail exaggerates every tiny detail. Often when details are scrutinized

The Armorer s Shop By David Teniers
Conservation Study
While there were several works of art that I had liked, the artwork and album finally chosen from
Noelle Ocon s album for this particular study was The Armorer s Shop by David Teniers the Younger
and Jan Brueghel the Younger. The goals for the study of this painting were to delve into topics such
as subject matter, spectrum bands used to reveal information about the painting, and conservation
efforts in general. As such, this study will start with the subject matter and style of presentation.
The Armorer s Shop s medium and materials are oil paints applied to connected wood panels. The
artwork was painted circa 1640 1645 ( The Armorer s Shop. ), and depicts an armorer s shop as the
title suggests. To go further into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Interestingly, outside of The Armorer s Shop, there is virtually no evidence that Brueghel and Teniers
ever collaborated with each other (Woll.)
As seen in the visible light photographs, the painting was flaking in some areas. The key issue here,
however, is not necessarily the flaking paint. Instead, it is the fact there were also two barely
noticeable lines that were particularly noticeable from the back of the painting. At the time of these
first few pictures, The Armorer s Shop had been strictly attributed to Teniers the Younger, with no
mention of Brueghel (Huskinson).
The painting was first analyzed using visible light, which can only show some surface details through
techniques like grazing. However, a couple of other bands of the spectrum that can be used to obtain
information about the painting in question are infrared, in the form of infrared reflectography, and x
ray. These were both utilized in this case to analyze The Armorer s Shop. Infrared can be used to see
through the paint layers to the underdrawing and also to detect details in the painting that may have
changed color since being painted ( Infrared (IR) Light. ). X ray can be used to see through the entire
painting to detect its base and find possible weaknesses or damages to the painting s

We All Fall Down Ring around the rosy, pocket full of posies, ashes, ashes, we all fall down. This
nursery rhyme and We All Fall Down are alike in a way. They both result in the falling of dead bodies
as they land on the ground, now corpses. The book We All Fall Down was banned due to its violence

It was used mostly by the teenagers in their conversations with other characters to show just how they
felt about the situation at hand. Profanity was highly associated with the drinking that occurred. Not
only was alcohol used as a type of anti depressant, but it was done by under age drinkers (Cormier;
throughout book). Buddy Walker, one of the main characters, is a sixteen year old and started to drink
heavily after the divorce of his parents. Buddy began to hand out with Harry and his goons and drank
to have fun and forget all his worries. He bought his liquor illegally and continued to drink even when
in his relationship with Jane. Even when he was happiest when with Jane, Buddy abused alcohol
which became his own brand of heroine. Like Buddy, most people do use alcohol as a way to escape
and instead they should be using a proper drug prescribed by doctors. I believe that though alcohol
may seem like medicine, it is far from it. It weakens slowly in the insides and confuses the brain to
think it s better than any pharmacy drugs. It s a hypnotizer and it performs its work best in all ages,
even young teenagers like Buddy. Even though We All Fall Down was banned, it has many points
which make it worthwhile to read. It has such a suspenseful plot that leaves you wanting more (Sova

Using Cbt Models Into Group Intervention Essay
While planning on treating teenage girls who had been sexually abused in the past, we primarily take a
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) approach in group intervention. As we all know, CBT is a short term,
problem solving focused therapy that aims to reduce patients symptoms and provide reliefs. The
cognitive model proposes that in most scenarios, it is not the life events themselves that influence
people s emotional states, but the dysfuncional or maladaptive thinking people associated with the
events that causes people to feel bad or depressed (Beck, 2011). Therefore, CBT believes that by
helping patients identify, evaluate and modify their maladaptive thinking and to a more realistic and
adaptive way of thinking, and by teaching people new skills to cope with the problems, patients will
experience improvements in their behaviors and emotional states (Beck, 2011). Incorporating CBT
models into group intervention, there are a lot of advantages that can benefit group members in
different ways. First of all, a therapeutic alliance is seen as one of the preconditions of the CBT work,
and within a group, members can identify and develop therapeutic relationships with not only the
leader but also with other group members (DeLucia Waack, Kalodner, Riva 2013). This will in turn
provide a safe and supportive network for the members in the group to share their experiences and
allow them to feel secure. Secondly, CBT approach emphasizes the importance of learning in
therapeutic work.

How Did Henry Viii Influence The Government Of The Tudor...
The reign of the Tudor family is prominent for many occurrences with two monarchs standing out
Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. But the 118 years of Tudor England have a great deal to thank Henry VII
(also known as Henry Tudor) as he got them off to a stable and powerful start (history learning site).
He is mostly notable for ending the dynastic wars known as the Wars of the Roses and founded the
House of Tudors.
Henry VII was born in England at a time when it was divided by a civil war known as The War of the
Roses. The War of the Roses was fought between supporters of two rival branches of the Royal House
of Plantagenet. King Edward III of England (House of Plantagenet) had many sons. John of Gaunt, his

Henry VII was clearly a successful king. He had several goals that he had accomplished by the end of

system as well as the treasury and had successfully denied all the other claimants to his
throne(Francis, Bacon). The monarchy that he left to his son was a fairly secure one and most

Loss of Innocence in Mamas Don t Let Your Babies Grow Up...
One of my daddy s favorite songs is Mamas Don t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys by
Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. The song is an old southern anthem of the basic tale and fate of
growing up. The song goes on to warn mothers to keep their children safe from the harsh world that
awaits them, in this case it s the world of the west, and it couldn t be more true. Growing up is
inevitable and is a epidemic people have been trying to battle for years, the same way Peter Pan could
not stand to age even a year. With growing up and older, the world around you seems to change within
itself but all that is really changing is you. Your values and morals change along with your opinions.
You begin to see things in a different light and it s as if when you were born, you were born into
complete darkness and as time goes on the light slowly starts to burn from dim to blindingly bright.
Everyone has been growing up for years, even
Scout Finch from fictional Maycomb, Alabama in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird. Scout s journey
from innocence to understanding is one everyone must endure and take on with all the trials and
tribulations that come with life. Most children grow up hearing old stories from their families and sit

Comparison Of Elizabeth Proctor In The Crucible
I will not judge you John, says Elizabeth Proctor from The Crucible as she forgives John and gives
him the decision whether he lives or dies. Elizabeth Proctor is a Christian and holy woman who is
married to John Proctor will never tell a lie. She lives on the outskirts of town and gets pregnant
during the story. I am most parallel to Elizabeth Proctor because we are both loyal, forgiving, and
caring. In The Crucible Elizabeth Proctor is loyal, just like I am. Elizabeth Proctor is loyal because she
stayed with her husband even though he had an affair. Although she was mad and angry at John, she
never left him and stuck by his side. I resemble Elizabeth because of my loyalty. I am loyal because I
can always keep a secret. For example, my one friend told me what girl he finds attractive. He trusted
me with his secret because of my loyalty and I have yet to tell anybody his secret. My friends could
tell me anything and trust me that I will not tell anybody. I am also loyal because I stick to my word.
For instance my brother and I made a promise to each other that we will stick up for each other no
matter what. One time last year he came home after curfew and my parents were mad at him. I stuck
up for him and distracted my parents by taking them behind our house to see a tree that fell down. I
made up the excuse to get my parents out of the house to see an apparent tree that fell down at 11 o

Similarly to the male reproductive system, the female...
Similarly to the male reproductive system, the female reproductive system is an intriguing and
complex system that contains internal and external structures. Its external structures consist of the
labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, and bartholens glands which all make up the vagina. These
structures all work together to protect the vagina as well as lubricate it. The vagina is an elastic,
muscular canal through which a baby can pass through during childbirth. The system s internal
structures are the vagina, uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. The uterus is responsible for holding and
nourishing a fetus while it develops during a nine month term. The ovaries are the structures that make

As previously stated the process through which follicles enlarge and release a mature egg into the
fallopian tube is most commonly known as ovulation. The ovulation cycle is divided into two parts
with the follicular phase being the beginning part in which the egg matures. The ovulatory phase then
begins during the middle of a female s menstrual cycle in which cervical fluids increase and become
more fertile. An increase in the LH hormone levels affect the ovarian follicle causing a hole, or stigma
to appear on the surface of the follicle. At this point in the course of ovulation, the egg is pushed down
the fallopian tube into the uterus where it will wait 12 24 hours to be fertilized by a sperm cell before
it disintegrates. The series of changes in the female reproductive system that include producing an egg
and preparing the uterus to nurture it for nine months is called the menstrual cycle. This process
begins during the pubescent years of a female and ends when said female goes through menopause.
The menstrual cycle is commonly divided into four phases: follicular phase, ovulation phase, luteal
phase and menstruation phase if the egg is not fertilized. During the first phase of the cycle (follicular
phase) estrogen, a female hormone, causes the endometrium to grow and develop in order to prepare
for a possible fertilized egg. The spike in the estrogen levels cause FSH

No-Kill Shelter Essay
No Kill Shelters During a crisis of pet overpopulation, it right to kill animals simply because they are
not wanted? Or is it ever right thing to do? The United States is faced with the problem of what should
be done with the excess of stray animals. This is a complex thing to solve, but that doesn t mean
killing the animals for space is right. Stray dogs and cats have just as much right to a good home as
pets that already have owners. No Kill shelters are beneficial, they provide a safe, pet friendly
environment that would help solve the problems of pet homelessness and overpopulations, as a result
of spay and neuter being provided as well. For a no kill shelter to work, it requires the cooperation of

this area or anywhere in the country. Some of the shelters in California are amazing, at Sonoma
County s animal shelter has new policies for the crowded conditions and are working to reduce the
number of healthy animal s that are killed. Dog and cat owners who may want to give up their pets
have to make an appointment with the shelter staff to discuss alternatives. Healthy animals will be

Difference Between Modern And Modern Society
Over time, man has divided into two organized and civilized societies that have adopted different
cultures and trends. Over time this led to the formation of the traditional society, then the modern
society. This essay will be focusing on the difference between those two society s. Many comparisons
can be made between the two, but I will be focusing on the difference in Family, social class, and
technology. In a traditional society, customs and the improvement of society as a whole is its primary
focus, while in a modern society the focus is on individual success and free will. Although there are
many advantages and benefits to having a traditional society, I am more sympathetic to modern
society because now people have more freedom to choose for example whether it be their clothing,
occupation, or spouse.
To start off, in a traditional society, the family is the basic unit and obligations towards the family
never change regardless of age. Men and women had specific gender roles in the family. Men were the
breadwinners in the family whereas women had the domestic role of being the caregivers and looked
after the children and household chores. The women s role had to be a more submissive one whereas
in a modern society they are granted many freedoms that they did not have in the past. In a modern
society it is common for women to make some of the decisions, especially when it comes to money.
Most modern women wish to move away from those traditional gender roles and instead

how they felt about their living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms (Tagnoli, 1980, p. 836). In

others did in each room over the past week, to describe the feelings felt in the room, and to write the

Genre Analysis Principles
In order to complete the DCR, it is necessary to understand a few key principles of genre analysis.
These principles include: Beaufort s five domains of knowledge, discourse community attitudes and
values, rhetorical and other textual features.
The rhetorical and other textual features can be divided into sub principles such as content, function,
format and different rhetoric appeals. For genre analysis, the content rhetorical feature is used to
reflect the textual organization of different components of said genre. For example, a research article
genre is highly organized, and arranged in the following sections: an abstract, an introduction,
methods, results, discussion, and references. This principle mainly looks at how the content and
material of the genre is displayed, and how this display is best ... Show more content on

The Wadsworth Guide explains how logos appeals to reason and logic, ethos appeals to credibility and
authority, and pathos appeals to emotions (page 183). These features, in the light of rhetor, are used to
see how the genre garners the attention of the audience.
Beaufort s five domains are genre knowledge, rhetorical knowledge, subject matter knowledge,
writing process knowledge, and discourse community knowledge. These domains are vital to the
process of genre analysis, and the one discussed in the Data Collection Report is subject matter
knowledge.
Subject matter knowledge pertains to knowledge of expertise for said discourse community. In the
genre analysis, we look at how the rhetor of the genre displays the extent of expertise about the
discourse community, as well as how the genre adds to existing subject matter knowledge.
The last section of the genre analysis was the critique. This section of the genre analysis pertains to
suggestion of possible changes in them by me. I based my critique on recommendations for genre
change in your analysis that would make the genre more

Personal Statement For The Support Group
Introduction For the support group that I led we planned on having it be focused around testimonies. I
wanted for us each to be able to get to know one another on a deeper level than we had, specifically
spiritually. I thought that doing five minute testimonies was a good way to be able to get to know one
another better while still not making everyone divulge all of their life to people they are still getting to
know and learning to trust. With the testimonies theme, I wanted my icebreaker to lead into the
importance of listening to our client s stories and using our story as a platform for Christ. For my
ending activity I wanted to lead into next support groups topic which we had decided would be about
our current walk with the Lord.
Group goals
At our first support group we decided that our goals would stay the same each week. Our primary goal
was to practice group facilitation and group participation. Our sub goals were to support one another
and get to know one another. We began our first support group with not really supporting one another
because there was no need for it; however, the second support group we supported one another as we
shared about our families. The third support group also got deeper in supporting one another as we
talked about our high school experiences. The fourth group I felt that we did not exercise the sub goal
to support one another because it was more educational than supportive.
I was nervous going after we talked about stress because it

Nursing Leaders Are Struggling Ethical Dilemmas
Nursing leaders are struggling in ethical dilemmas daily. Ethical dilemma is one of the issue/challenge
to the nursing leader. Ethical dilemmas occur when nursing personal values and beliefs conflict with
some aspect of nursing care. The struggle is to provide the best nursing care despite of the nurses
feelings. For example: RN/ nursing leader in residential home has always dilemmas while restraining
the patient. sometime patient become so aggressive that they can harm other people and worker. The

Ethical leadership is very challenging and it has positive impact on individual and organization. In any
individual, it helps to enhance the professionalism by quick decision making, valuing others belief and
respecting their cultural background, providing holistic care and focusing on patient centered care,
ethical leadership is itself a holistic approach to maintain the quality of care by respecting every aspect
of any individual and organizational values (Gallagher and Tschudin, 2017, pp.26). Furthermore, to
erase the nurses ethical dilemmas, the ethical leaders can support and should provide feedback to the
nurses progress, the progress is possible when the ethical leaders pay attention to moralities, providing
or teaching ethical education to the nurses and using systematic approach to measure moralities
(Sharifabad and Shooride, 2017, pp.58).
Leader faces various problem like: economic crisis of hospital, work stress/overload, workforce
shortage, implementing various strategies, conflicts between staff and management, in this situation
the leader has a challenge to maintain balance between these problem and positive patient outcome
(Zydziunaite, 2012, pp.42). Moreover, the gap still exists between the effective leadership and patient
satisfaction. On the other hand, the effective leadership has greater patient satisfaction rate. For
instance, I have an

James got a lot of his inspiration from other stories and movies he read or saw growing up (Veronica).
He took all the inspiration he had and he turned it into a thriller story that keeps the reader engaged

There are many aspects of history that are considered to be controversial. The Age of Exploration was
considered to be a positive achievement because of the discovery of the new world known as America.
Although people believed this, there were a lot of things going on in the background that were very
negative. The age of exploration should be considered a crime against humanity because of the deadly
diseases, ruthless conquistadors, and the endless slavery. The Europeans who traveled from Europe to
the Americas carried many diseases with them that affected the Native Americans drastically. Some of
the diseases that were brought by the Europeans were influenza, smallpox, and measles. The article

of the biggest and quickest changes I ve ever had to deal with and it wasn t easy especially at ages 8

experience definitely changed me as a person making me stronger and independent. Moving to new
schools is never simple; moving meant leaving everything behind and having to start over. From
preschool to third grade I had gone to the same elementary, had lots of friends and knew most of the
teachers. The school itself had been around for about 60 years and they decided it was getting old so
they wanted to build a new school in the back. The only problem was not all the students would be

  • 2. 1.1 Explain The Difference Between Sequence Of Development... Explain the difference between sequence of development and rate of development and why the difference is important. All Children follow very similar pattern of growth and development. For e.g. Physical development begins with baby holding its head followed by turning over, crawling, sitting and eventually walking by the age of 12 18months. Most children follow these steps of physical development, some start walking before their first birthday while some may start walking independently when they are 18months old or even later. Similarly, communicational development begins when baby cries to seek attention or convey discomfort, then gradually responds carer with sounds like coo , ooh , etc. At the age of 9months child starts saying simple words like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It Is important to understand why the child is not developing like other children in case a milestone is not achieved by the expected age. Delays in one aspect can have a domino effect on the other development. Communicational delays affect many aspects of life. If a child continues babbling or stammering, he/she could be targeted by peers, get bullied or made fun of. This affects child s social and emotional development. If a child s motor skills are not developed then he/she could face problems with writing, handling equipment and other motor skills. Sequence of development also guides professional at what rate an individual development is expected. If a milestone is not achieved, then they have to identify the causes of delays. In learning environment professionals can device an individual support plan to help the child develop and reach full potentials. The individual support plan is prepared, followed and monitored by specialists, teachers and teaching assistants depending on the reasons of delays. Following are some ways in which development can be supported by teachers and teaching ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Military Ethics And The Military Military ethics encompass a wide range of things. In the contemporary world, military ethics include all facets of military behavior, from issuing regular reviews on juniors to relations of those in the military with civilians to matters related to war. Currently, the world has witnessed technological advancements in various sectors including the military. Indeed, battles between different nations have become dominated by highly advanced weaponry especially when developed nations are involved. It is these developments that have raised concerns over the use of highly sophisticated and deadly weapons. Military ethics dictate how certain weapons should be used and circumstances under which the military can use lethal force. Different nations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Military ethics, therefore, serve to ensure that only weapons that are universally accepted are used in war (Gale, 2016). One fundamental principle of just war customs refers to efforts to make war as compassionate as probable even for the military personnel. The Geneva resolution principles require that soldiers who lay down their arms during battles be eligible for benevolent confinement by their imprisoners. The captors are needed to provide them with food, medical care, and housing. Underlying these ethics is the commonly shared belief that fighter is an impermanent status overriding an essential common humanity of rivals. Humanitarian concerns over soldiers in the traditional military morals is demonstrated by attempts to do away with weapons considered to be inhumane. Such efforts began when the medieval church banned the crossbow since it was perceived to be too accurate and lethal over long distances. Current world leaders and military leaders have categorized blinding lasers, hollow point bullets, and the asphyxiating gas as unethical classes of technology that should not be employed in war. Besides dictating how the military as a whole should conduct itself, military ethics govern how military personnel should behave. Rules of conduct provide guidelines to those in the military on standards of behavioral ethics. Those found culpable of violating the ethics are liable for prosecution under the uniform code of military justice. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Pascal s Wager Modern debates over religion, more specifically God, focus primarily on whether or not sufficient evidence exists to either prove or disprove the existence of a God. Disbelievers such as biologist Richard Hawkins tend to point to the indisputable facts of evolution and the abundance of scientific evidence which seem to contradict many aspects of religion. Conversely, believers such as Dr. A. E. Wilder Smith describe the controversial aspects of science, and how the only possible solution to everything is a supreme being. However, mathematician and philosopher Blaise Pascal refused to make either type of argument; he believed that it was impossible to determine God s existence for certainty through reason. Instead, he suggested that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However each one of these is a faulty argument. Arguments 1 and 2 only takes into consideration two choices for religion, Roman Catholicism or atheism. However, numerous other faiths exist today, and regardless of the amount of evidence which may support or refute one faith or another, let us assume each to be equally as likely as the other. Since Pascal s Wager fails to tell us which God to believe in, we end up with a great probability that we picked the wrong religion and go to some other religion s version of Hell (Bendz). With an increasing number of potential faiths or religions, the probability of believing in the right God (or even Gods) likewise becomes increasingly small. Therefore, we have an increased probability of choosing the wrong God, and as a result, we miss out on the eternal happiness from one religion and instead receive the eternal torment of another. Similarly, varying religions have different concepts of afterlife. For example, Hinduism and Buddhism believe in the rebirth and reincarnation of souls, in which the actions one engages in throughout their life simply accumulate to either good or bad karma. Therefore eternal happiness would not truly exist in these religions, but instead happiness would be finite and a result of good actions, not a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Synthesis Essay Snow Ever thought of snow being more than just stuff that falls from the sky to be made into snowmen, to start snowball fights, and etc.. when it is much more? Snow is water vapor which later forms into matter as ice crystals that descend from the sky and build up as a white, ice cold blanket over land. Snow, unlike most natural materials whom absorb some sunlight, snow reflects the light creating its white appearance to most. Snow is much more than just fun, keep in mind the unpredictable fallings, the dangers, and effects on wildlife with the bringing of snow. One thing that makes snow unique is that it is unpredictable and no one will know when it will fall, which makes it hard to forecast. In the article it says, Because conditions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because of snow being unpredictable, there is no telling how thick the snow may fall which then creates dangers to those in cars, Traveling by automobile can become difficult or even impossible due to whiteout conditions and drifting snow. The strong winds and low temperatures accompanying blizzards can combine to create other dangers (Source #2). For this reason, traveling can be dangerous if the snowfall is severely falling down at a fast rate. As a matter of fact, snow can be harmful for everyone who s involved which can affect the vehicles and life. In addition to snow being dangerous to travelers, it is also just as dangerous to those who tend to just go outside for a quick walk raising the chances of frostbite and hypothermia, Frostbite is a severe reaction to cold exposure that can permanently damage its victim. Hypothermia is a condition brought on when the body temperature drops dangerously low, and can be fatal if not caught in time, (Source #2) As seen above, frostbite is incredibly dangerous to encounter and may leave permanent damage to the defenseless victims of the cold. Snow is not just something to be playing in all the time and spending time out sitting in it because it is fun to some, these are only two of many dangerous outcomes that come from being in snow for too long of a time. • 6. How Does Edgar Allan Poe Use Allusions In The Raven Dark romantic writers explores the evil sides of humanity, such as Edgar Allan Poe, when he exposes readers to the dangers of loss and isolation. One midnight when the narrator was reminiscing over his lost Lenore, a raven flew in his window and confronted him. He loses himself and reality the more he talks with the raven, as he longs to see his lost love, Lenore. In stanza fourteen of The Raven, Poe uses several allusions and imagery to show the narrator s growing mental instability and paranoia due to living in solitude and his never ending love for the missed Lenore. Poe uses imagery to identify the point when the narrator starts going crazy. The narrator first imagines the air thickening, and perfume filling the air. He notices, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer (Poe 79). He fantasizes a nice scent in the air, that is not there. He then hears footsteps in another room, which Poe describes it by using figurative language to appeal to the hearing sense. Foot falls tinkled on the tufted floor (Poe 80). While staring at the raven, the narrator believes that there is something else in his house, creating the scent of perfume and making the footsteps. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the belief that something else besides himself and the raven are in the narrator s house, he imagines that the footsteps were swung by Seraphim (Poe 80). It is an allusion to mystic creatures in the Bible, who circles God and praises him. He thinks that they have come to visit him and to take his pain away. Another allusion that Poe makes is the narrator s wish for Nepenthe, a drink to forget all sorrows and banish grief. Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore! (Poe 83). In Homer s The Odyssey, nepenthe is used on Helen to make her forget her home. The narrator in The Raven wishes for the drug, so he can forget about Lenore, his remorse for her, and the ominous ... • 9. Chaucer s Grecian Satire Of Chivalrous Knighthood Chaucer s Grecian Satire of Chivalrous Knighthood Chivalry, a honorable and noble code of conduct developed by knighthood for knighthood. It was a set of rules and morals for knights to adhere to and follow, and it was developed in the middle ages in the years 1170 through 1220. But by the time Chaucer wrote the Canterbury tales in the year 1400 chivalry s light was beginning wane. And perhaps Chaucer s story had something to do with its decline because, when Chaucer tells the Knights tail his story is a satire, he pokes fun at the old fashioned values of chivalry and the knights code of honor. Chaucer s portrayal of the knights tail exaggerates every tiny detail. Often when details are scrutinized over an author is trying to paint their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Theseus also constructs massive temples for the Gods around his arena In the temple of Venus you could see (Wrought on the wall, and piteous to behold) The broken sleep, the lonely sighs, the cold And sacred tears, the sad laments; the burning, The fiery strokes of all desire and yearning That servants of love in this life endure; The oaths by which covenants they assure; Pleasure and ... The Armorer s Shop By David Teniers Conservation Study While there were several works of art that I had liked, the artwork and album finally chosen from Noelle Ocon s album for this particular study was The Armorer s Shop by David Teniers the Younger and Jan Brueghel the Younger. The goals for the study of this painting were to delve into topics such as subject matter, spectrum bands used to reveal information about the painting, and conservation efforts in general. As such, this study will start with the subject matter and style of presentation. The Armorer s Shop s medium and materials are oil paints applied to connected wood panels. The artwork was painted circa 1640 1645 ( The Armorer s Shop. ), and depicts an armorer s shop as the title suggests. To go further into ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Interestingly, outside of The Armorer s Shop, there is virtually no evidence that Brueghel and Teniers ever collaborated with each other (Woll.) As seen in the visible light photographs, the painting was flaking in some areas. The key issue here, however, is not necessarily the flaking paint. Instead, it is the fact there were also two barely noticeable lines that were particularly noticeable from the back of the painting. At the time of these first few pictures, The Armorer s Shop had been strictly attributed to Teniers the Younger, with no mention of Brueghel (Huskinson). The painting was first analyzed using visible light, which can only show some surface details through techniques like grazing. However, a couple of other bands of the spectrum that can be used to obtain information about the painting in question are infrared, in the form of infrared reflectography, and x ray. These were both utilized in this case to analyze The Armorer s Shop. Infrared can be used to see through the paint layers to the underdrawing and also to detect details in the painting that may have changed color since being painted ( Infrared (IR) Light. ). X ray can be used to see through the entire painting to detect its base and find possible weaknesses or damages to the painting s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The book We All Fall Down was banned due to its violence and vandalism (Sova 2; We All Fall Down); the occurring sexual content (Marshall University Libraries 1); and the alcoholic references and profanity (Cormier; occurring theme) that haunt its pages. Profanity was highly associated with the drinking that occurred. Not only was alcohol used as a type of anti depressant, but it was done by under age drinkers (Cormier; throughout book). Buddy Walker, one of the main characters, is a sixteen year old and started to drink heavily after the divorce of his parents. Buddy began to hand out with Harry and his goons and drank to have fun and forget all his worries. He bought his liquor illegally and continued to drink even when in his relationship with Jane. Even when he was happiest when with Jane, Buddy abused alcohol which became his own brand of heroine. Like Buddy, most people do use alcohol as a way to escape and instead they should be using a proper drug prescribed by doctors. I believe that though alcohol may seem like medicine, it is far from it. It weakens slowly in the insides and confuses the brain to think it s better than any pharmacy drugs. It s a hypnotizer and it performs its work best in all ages, even young teenagers like Buddy. Even though We All Fall Down was banned, it has many points which make it worthwhile to read. • 12. Using Cbt Models Into Group Intervention Essay While planning on treating teenage girls who had been sexually abused in the past, we primarily take a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) approach in group intervention. As we all know, CBT is a short term, problem solving focused therapy that aims to reduce patients symptoms and provide reliefs. The cognitive model proposes that in most scenarios, it is not the life events themselves that influence people s emotional states, but the dysfuncional or maladaptive thinking people associated with the events that causes people to feel bad or depressed (Beck, 2011). Therefore, CBT believes that by helping patients identify, evaluate and modify their maladaptive thinking and to a more realistic and adaptive way of thinking, and by teaching people new skills to cope with the problems, patients will experience improvements in their behaviors and emotional states (Beck, 2011). Incorporating CBT models into group intervention, there are a lot of advantages that can benefit group members in different ways. First of all, a therapeutic alliance is seen as one of the preconditions of the CBT work, and within a group, members can identify and develop therapeutic relationships with not only the leader but also with other group members (DeLucia Waack, Kalodner, Riva 2013). This will in turn provide a safe and supportive network for the members in the group to share their experiences and allow them to feel secure. Secondly, CBT approach emphasizes the importance of learning in therapeutic work. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The song is an old southern anthem of the basic tale and fate of growing up. The song goes on to warn mothers to keep their children safe from the harsh world that awaits them, in this case it s the world of the west, and it couldn t be more true. Growing up is inevitable and is a epidemic people have been trying to battle for years, the same way Peter Pan could not stand to age even a year. With growing up and older, the world around you seems to change within itself but all that is really changing is you. Your values and morals change along with your opinions. You begin to see things in a different light and it s as if when you were born, you were born into complete darkness and as time goes on the light slowly starts to burn from dim to blindingly bright. Everyone has been growing up for years, even Scout Finch from fictional Maycomb, Alabama in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird. Scout s journey from innocence to understanding is one everyone must endure and take on with all the trials and tribulations that come with life. Elizabeth Proctor is a Christian and holy woman who is married to John Proctor will never tell a lie. She lives on the outskirts of town and gets pregnant during the story. I am most parallel to Elizabeth Proctor because we are both loyal, forgiving, and caring. In The Crucible Elizabeth Proctor is loyal, just like I am. Elizabeth Proctor is loyal because she stayed with her husband even though he had an affair. Although she was mad and angry at John, she never left him and stuck by his side. I resemble Elizabeth because of my loyalty. I am loyal because I can always keep a secret. For example, my one friend told me what girl he finds attractive. He trusted me with his secret because of my loyalty and I have yet to tell anybody his secret. My friends could tell me anything and trust me that I will not tell anybody. I am also loyal because I stick to my word. For instance my brother and I made a promise to each other that we will stick up for each other no matter what. One time last year he came home after curfew and my parents were mad at him. I stuck up for him and distracted my parents by taking them behind our house to see a tree that fell down. Similarly to the male reproductive system, the female reproductive system is an intriguing and complex system that contains internal and external structures. Its external structures consist of the labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, and bartholens glands which all make up the vagina. These structures all work together to protect the vagina as well as lubricate it. The vagina is an elastic, muscular canal through which a baby can pass through during childbirth. As previously stated the process through which follicles enlarge and release a mature egg into the fallopian tube is most commonly known as ovulation. The ovulation cycle is divided into two parts with the follicular phase being the beginning part in which the egg matures. The ovulatory phase then begins during the middle of a female s menstrual cycle in which cervical fluids increase and become more fertile. An increase in the LH hormone levels affect the ovarian follicle causing a hole, or stigma to appear on the surface of the follicle. At this point in the course of ovulation, the egg is pushed down the fallopian tube into the uterus where it will wait 12 24 hours to be fertilized by a sperm cell before it disintegrates. The series of changes in the female reproductive system that include producing an egg and preparing the uterus to nurture it for nine months is called the menstrual cycle. This process begins during the pubescent years of a female and ends when said female goes through menopause. The menstrual cycle is commonly divided into four phases: follicular phase, ovulation phase, luteal phase and menstruation phase if the egg is not fertilized. Over time this led to the formation of the traditional society, then the modern society. This essay will be focusing on the difference between those two society s. Many comparisons can be made between the two, but I will be focusing on the difference in Family, social class, and technology. In a traditional society, customs and the improvement of society as a whole is its primary focus, while in a modern society the focus is on individual success and free will. Although there are many advantages and benefits to having a traditional society, I am more sympathetic to modern society because now people have more freedom to choose for example whether it be their clothing, occupation, or spouse. To start off, in a traditional society, the family is the basic unit and obligations towards the family never change regardless of age. Men and women had specific gender roles in the family. Men were the breadwinners in the family whereas women had the domestic role of being the caregivers and looked after the children and household chores. The women s role had to be a more submissive one whereas in a modern society they are granted many freedoms that they did not have in the past.
