My Classroom Environment
My classroom is geared for a Kindergarten class of 20 students, in a general education setting. The
learning environment has been organized to maximize the students safety, allow for student and
teacher movement, promote collaboration among peers, and foster student engagement in
classroom activities. Furniture utilized in this setting is developmentally and size appropriate, so
that children are comfortable. Storage cubbies, equipment, and materials have been placed in areas
that are easily accessible to both myself and my students without restricting the flow of classroom
traffic or blocking the students view of or access to learning materials. I did not decorate every inch
of space on my classroom walls. I feel that this gives the appearance of clutter and pose more of a
problem than a purpose. I utilized neutral, calming colors as the backdrop for bulletin boards, as to
not visually overwhelm my students. Also, since my classroom only has one window, the access to
natural light is limited. I felt that use of bright or neon lights in combination with the florescent
lighting could potentially be distracting to my students. Bulletin boards will primarily serve to
showcase student work, with posters displaying curriculum content placed intermittently, except for
the Calendar Math board and the Word Wall. These will both be year round, interactive boards.
Additionally, flip charts on castor wheels will be utilized for small group and differentiated learning.

Anti Semitism And The Nazi Party
Section A: Plan of Investigation
The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the extent to which anti Semitism throughout
Germany contributed to Hitler s rise to power. The main body of the investigation will focus on
the tactics which were used within the Nazi party to gain support towards Hitler s political beliefs.
The formation of the Nazi party and the use of anti Semitic propaganda will also be analyzed.
Sources will be assessed in order to formulate reasoning behind the effectiveness of Hitler s
influence over the Nazi party. Journal articles and speeches from this time period will be examined
according to their origin, value, purpose and limitations. These documents as well as a summary of
evidence will be used to properly evaluate the investigation.
Section B: Summary of Evidence
Hitler s Anti Semitic background
In 1908 Hitler made Vienna, a place with widespread Anti Semitism, his home. According to Hitler,
his time spent in Vienna shaped his beliefs, particularly his perception of them.(Smelser)
While in Vienna prior to World War I (1914 1918), Hitler developed anti Semitic views, most likely
created by his resentment of wealthy Jewish citizens during his years of extreme poverty and
impoverishment.(Altman 28)
Hitler s beliefs
Within Hitler s beliefs, the Jews were a cause of danger to Germany and to humanity as a
whole.(Smelser)
Hitler believed the Aryan race was inferior to others. The Aryan race was the strongest and

Should Terminally Ill People Have The Right To Take Their...
Terminally ill people should have the right to take their own life in order to end their excruciating
suffering and pain. Every person should have the right to a dignified and compassionate death, and
giving this right to a terminally ill person would give that individual the feeling of a respectful and
noble death. When a person s health has reached the level of terminally ill and there is no quality
of life, the purpose of life is meaningless; in fact it can be darn right mean. Seeing a loved one
sufferingin unbearable pain is not only dreadful for the terminally ill person to endure, but it is just
as horrible if not more horrendous for family members to watch their loved ones go through this
misery. The outcome to a terminally ill

The East St. Louis Race Riots
The East St. Louis Race Riots
Chloe Turner
Government, Mr. Wilson, Period 1
Abstract
This paper explains a very important moment in the history of our government that took place in
Illinois in 1917. As World War I was beginning for the United States things were heating up in
East St. Louis, Illinois. Anti black riots killed or injured over one hundred black civilians. Then
a Silent Parade of over ten thousand black citizens from New York broke out. Civil rights have
always been an issue in our government, and according to www.kidzworld.com, after these anti
black riots, things eventually led to the development of the The National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People, and from that, Rosa Parks did not give up her seat on the bus.
The creation of the NAACP also influenced the Little Rock, Arkansas incident, Martin L. King s I
Have a Dream Speech, and many other things which eventually led to equal rights for everyone
with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This paper will explain the riots and how it shaped our
government into providing equal jobs for all races.
The East St. Louis Race Riots As stated in a YouTube video from Nine Network, St. Louis back
in 1917 was a place of many jobs and it was often said that if you couldn t find work anywhere in
St. Louis then you wouldn t be able to find work anywhere else. When World War I cut off the flow
of immigrants from Eastern Europe, companies went to the American South

Why Is Steve Jobs The Biggest Innovator
Majd Ashkar
Mr. Spilles
World History 1D
15 October 2014
Steve Jobs, the Second Biggest Innovator in the World
Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower (Jobs). I can take a camera and make a
replica of it, but change one thing in it, and I would be considered an inventor. Steve Jobs always
used other products from varieties of different companies to gather up ideas and combine them
into what we now call his invention . The only work Steve Jobs has done was to think of what
device he wants to enhance, something he thought would attract more people to the product.
Innovation has nothing to do with how many R D dollars you have. When Apple came up with
the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R D. It s not about money. It s about the
people you have, how you re led, and how much you get it (Jobs). An inventor, is a person that
creates ideas and products. An innovator is a person that introduces the ideas and products. If
someone created something that can be used by others to make things of their own, they should
be thought of as inventors. Steven Paul Steve Jobs worked for one of the most famous companies
in the world, Apple. Steve Jobs was an entrepreneur, an inventor , and a marketer. He was born on

However, the person in the position of the inventor should be Steve Wozniak. Steve Wozniak is
a computer programmer. He co founded Apple computer, what is now Apple inc., with Steve
Jobs and Ronald Wayne. He designed the Apple I and Apple II in the late 1970s. He did not copy
any other design when he made them and he used his own materials. Steve Jobs is now considered
to be the second top innovator in the world after Thomas Edison. This is because, as I said in the
introduction, Steve Jobs used many other sources to find the designs and to get the materials that
he needed, then he put them all together and made the new

Stress And Its Effect On The Body
Stress and its Role in the Body
People have very different ideas with respect to their definition of stress. Probably the most
common is, physical, mental, or emotional strain or tension . Another popular definition of stress
is, a condition or feeling experienced when a person perceives that demands exceed the personal
and social resources the individual is able to mobilize. (stress.org). Most use stress as a negative
condition that causes people to breakdown and become frustrated. This is totally misunderstood,
stress is actually a reaction to a stimulus that causes dysfunction in our mental and physical state.
People experience stress in a variety of ways such as in school, sports, competitive activities, work,
and many more. The stress builds up and affects the body emotionally, physically, mentally, and
behaviorally.
Stress has emotional effects on the body and can cause people to do things they wish not to. The
emotional effects of stress come in so many different forms such as bipolar illness, depression,
anxiety disorders and personality changes. People feel overwhelmed and pressured in doing great
things when dealing with emotional stress. According to stress shack, It can increase the incidence
of frustration, feelings of a lack of purpose in life, or depression and anxiety. (stresshack.com)
Many start to doubt themselves and not pursue certain goals because in their mind they fear
failure. For example, people who are dealing with depression have low energy

Apollo Victorious Over Python Analysis
Final Paper
For this research paper, I will compare and contrast Pietro Francavilla s sculpture of Apollo
Victorious over Python from the Renaissances period to Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres s
painting of Oedipus and the Sphinx from the Neo Classical period. The two pieces of work were
both displayed at the Walters Art Musuem. Apollo Victorious over Python was displayed on the 2nd
floor in the Sculpture Court, it was the open and spacious center room. Oedipus and the Sphinx
was displayed on the 4th floor in the From Rye to Raphael, the Walters Story exhibition. I chose
to compare these two works of art because out of all of the works I saw they both stood out to me
the most. These two works are different, obviously because one is a sculpture

What Is The Curse Of The Lady Of Shalott
The painting, The Lady of Shalott, was painted by John William Waterhouse in 1888. The poem
The Lady of Shalott, was written by Alfred Lord Tennyson in 1842.
The poem sets the scene of a young women trapped in a tower, forced to weave. She sees the
outside world from her loom s mirror. She is only able to look outside the tower from a mirror.
There is a curse on the young lady, she can not look down on Camelot. She does not know what
the consequence of the curse, but she does known there is a curse. In part two of the poem it
describes the curse on the young lady in the tower, No time hath she to sport and play: /A

Missouri Compromise
The Missouri Compromise
The Missouri Compromise, written by Henry Clay, attempted to limit the slavery boundaries; it
was later declared unconstitutional and is also considered one of many events that led to the
American Civil War. The compromise became a precedent for settling subsequent North and South
disagreements over slavery and duty issues, and it remained in effect until rescinded by the Kansas
Nebraska Act of 1854. The Missouri Compromise eased tensions between the North and the South
delaying the civil war The American Civil War. However, it is also considered one of the causes of
the civil war because it increased the division of beliefs between the North and SouthThus, the
Missouri compromise played an important role in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Prior to Clay holding the position, the speaker of the house had a minor role, but Clay shaped
the speakership into a very important and influential job. Clay received his nickname with his
masterful negotiation of issues that threatened to tear the relatively new country apart. Henry
Clay grew up in Kentucky and represented Kentucky, which was a border state between the
South and North, because of this Henry Clay was able to relate to both the North s and South s
beliefs on slavery. Since Henry Clay knew both sides of slavery he was able to act as an
unbiased representative for the senate and was able to create the Missouri compromise without
bias. The Missouri compromise included a solution to the dispute caused by Missouri wanting to
become a new slave state. Largely through the efforts of Henry Clay the amendment was accepted
by the House. Missouri was authorized to submit a proslavery constitution and Maine was
admitted to the Union. The Missouri constitution was presented to Congress for approval in 1821.
It included a paragraph requiring the legislature to prevent the immigration of free blacks into the
state. The antislavery faction in Congress objected to this provision and a compromise bill, often
called the Second Missouri Compromise, was passed on March 2, 1821. This measure forbade
Missouri to limit the rights guaranteed to all citizens by the federal government, meaning it could
not ban the entry of free blacks into the state.

How Significant Artists Are Influenced By Events
Examine how significant artists are influenced by events in the world INTRO: In art, Romanticism
is the expression of a personal response to a subject or emotion. It was a reaction against the formal
logic and organisation of neo classicism as artists added free manifestation of their personal
interpretation of events in their world through subject matter reflecting attitudes or moods. Withing
artworks, artists expressed traumatic and gruesome circumstances of war and terror through the
politics of figurative art. With this, human bodies were centralised using figures as the focal point
as they were the dominant feature, in an environment that adds meaning. Artists Theodore Gericault
and Francisco de Goya utilise bodies to demonstrate... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With this, the silhouetted figures are also seen to convey the dramatic and inhumane movement
of figures as well as their intense facial emotions and gestures. In strong contrast, the prior
movement of the logical neo classicism is seen, which a balanced design, clear composition and
action that is easily read in The Oath of Horatii , by Jacques Louis David. David s painting is a
neo classical work that restores the ethical ideas of antiquity. Ancient ideas are demonstrated
with the use of structural devices such as the columns used to support the building. These
arches correspond with the grouping figures. Figures that are framed by the arches and being
separated by the columns include; the brothers, the father, and the women. Roman architecture
in this painting is characterised by the absence of a base. However, it is grounded by strong tiles
displayed as a grid. As seen in The Raft of Medusa , David s painting also consists of triangular
composition which is a clear focal point. Gericault s triangle of hope is seen as a progression
from the depths of despair to an apex of hope, whereas David s is a logically organised triangle
configuration which highlights the allegiance to the family. A contrasting allegiance to family to
disgrace and despair in Raft of Medusa . BODY 2: Both Gericault and Goya emotionally reacted to
significant events causing them to express these emotions through intense paintings. Francisco de

Why Transcript Is Important To A College
One of the biggest questions that people may ask themselves when they apply for college is,
What do I need to do to attract this college. Many people believe that all you need to do is have a
good transcript while some believe that you should be in clubs, play sports, have jobs, and other
things outside of just school work. I believe that the transcript is a valuable piece of information,
but I think that your grades are not the main thing colleges should look at. I do believe that
colleges look at grades, but I also think a big part of getting accepted into collegecomes down to the
extra things you have done including extracurriculars, clubs, jobs, and other things that are not just
school related.
One big thing that colleges look at when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Colleges do not just want someone with only perfect grades, they want someone who has school
spirit and wants to get involved with things beside school work. Transcripts can also be
misleading because some people make good grades without actually trying. Even though a
person may have good grades that does not show that the person tries hard or studies, it can just
prove that this person is naturally smart. Playing sports, being in clubs, having jobs, and many
other things are more important to a college than a transcript. These things show that, you as a
person, are capable of doing more than just school work while still succeeding. It is easy for a
person to do well in school if all they do is school, but it is harder to do well in school if you also
have full plate outside of school. Showing a college that you can succeed while doing multiple
things at once makes the college feel like you can do well in college.
Having a good transcript is important but showing the college that you compete in sports, have a
job, do clubs, and other extracurricular things is more important. You need to have a good
transcript to show the college that you are a good student, but you need to show the college that
you do more than just school work and that their school will do better with you going

The Positive Impact Of Technology
Technology has evolved over the years, improving in fields such as medicine, computer
programming, business, and the list goes on. It has opened up a number of jobs and work
opportunities and helped make society more efficient. The human brain has also benefited a great
deal, due to fast paced research and new ways to improve and present creativity skills, using
different pieces of technologyand search engines. There are some downsides to technology and
the wide growth of it, while some problems are created through the misuse of it and how others
take advantage of it. However, technology really has more of a positive impact than anything,
because it has made society and people work more efficiently, opened up new work opportunities,
helped our brains think more in depth and helped people become more creative, and has really
made an impact in medicine.
People and society in general has improved in the sense that they work more efficiently.
According to Yuki Noguchi, a journalist for NPR news, reported that The advance of tablets and

Childhood Education And Special Education
What is my plan in life?
Vocation can be defined in many different ways depending on the context it is used in. In this
case, the dictionary defines vocation as a strong desire to spend your life doing a certain kind of
work. Simply put, it is the career path someone studies and decides to pursue throughout their life. I
have chosen to pursue Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I have discovered that
my calling in life is to be a Christian leader and serve others. I want to become a teacher to impact
the lives of children from all different backgrounds and generations. Be their role model and
someone they can count on 100% of the time.
As a teacher, it is important to know how to apply literacy reading, writing, and speaking. These
are all important skills to have both in and out of the classroom. As a teacher, I will use all three
to fulfill my responsibilities. As an early childhood teacher, I will have to keep track of students
progress. To do this I will be required to compose evaluations and write ups for administration and
parents eyes. It would not be wise to have this document look like one of my students wrote it. The
document will have to look academic and formal, like a certified teacher wrote it. Writing is not all
that I will have to do, I will also have to know how to read. In the classroom, I will have an array
of diverse learners from all different cultures and backgrounds. Some of my students may know
how to read, where others may not. It

White supremacy and black inferiority have been an epidemic in our nation since the founding of
our country. Our country is said to be one of the greatest democratic countries of all time;
nevertheless, we have faced great problems such as slavery and unfair distribution of wealth. Our
Constitution has helped to shape one of the greatest democratic countries, but it can simultaneously
be deprecated for its promotion of institutional racism. People such as Thomas Jefferson, who
owned slaves, wrote the Constitution. As a result, our country was founded on white supremacist
beliefs. Our founding fathers were supposed to be drafting one of the greatest democratic
documents ever written, but at the same time they were taking away from blacks certain freedoms
and unalienable rights, rights and freedoms that they themselves had fought for against the British.
Our founding fathers spoke of equality and the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,
but at the same time, they owned slaves and viewed them as property. Because slave owners such
as Thomas Jefferson were our founding fathers, our country was founded not only on the idea of
democracy, but white supremacy.
Unfortunately, our country has had to struggle since the writing of the Constitution to amend these
ideas of white supremacy. Charles W.

What Are Emily Dickinson s Accomplishments
The Life, Works, and Achievements of Emily Dickinson
On December 10th, 1830, Emily Norcross Dickinson and Edward Dickinson gave birth to a
beautiful baby girl named Emily Elizabeth Dickinson (Poets). Little did any of them know that
Emily Dickinson would be a famous poet who continues to move people with her words to this
day! Though Emily Dickinson wouldn t receive any awards for her poetry, she is easily one of the
most inspiring and touching poets of all time. During her life, she wrote almost 1800 poems, but
only about 12 were published. Dickinson s fame only came after her death, but fame never seemed

caused Todd to lose a bit of land and put a stop to Emily s poems being published, but eventually
Todd was back to publishing Emily s poems. Soon enough, Todd had published almost all of
Emily s poems. In 1955, Thomas H. Johnson took Emily Dickinson s poems put all of them in

Unknown Copper (II) Sulphate
Introduction
By using a spectrophotometer, we were able to measure the absorbance of Copper (II) sulphate
with increasing dilutions. From this we were able to create a graph showing the concentration as
well as the absorbance.
The Beer Lambert Law is the linear relationship between the absorbance and concentration. This
has a connection with the light behaviour as well because light behaviour effects the concentration
and absorbance. The more concentrated that a solution is, the less light passes through it.
Purpose
This lab allowed us to determine the concentration of an unknown Copper (II) sulphate solution.

Brandix I4 Case Study
With the formation of Brandix i3 since 2012, the Brandix group had to face a drastic change in the
entire company. This situation is based on the theoretical field of change management. Change
management is a process of transitioning individuals, groups of organizations to the expected future
state. The main objective of change managementis to ensure change s record, evaluation,
authorization, prioritization, planning, testing, implementation and reviewing in a control manner.
It is considered that major change is never successful unless the complacency level is low.
However, change is a common thread that runs through all organizations regardless of size of the
organization, industry or history. The key part of managing change depends on how far the people
within it understand the process of change. Change is a constant feature of organizational life and
the ability to manage it is seen as a core competence of successful organizations.

At retention: The quiet eye trained group successfully holed more putts than the control group
(59% vs 45%) and also had longer quiet eye s (2817ms vs 2203ms) although this wasn t statistically
significant. However, the quiet eye trained participants showed lower average error in performance
compared to the control group (4.58cm compared to 8.37cm) which was statistically significant.
This showed that the quiet eye trained group left the ball closer to the hole more consistently than

From the very beginning, the authors talk about how lots of research in golf focuses on improving
accuracy in golf putting, which is exactly what this paper is about. The authors also discuss more in
depth the mechanisms behind accuracy in golf putting and how quiet eye training may be able to
affect the cognitive processing behind visuomotor skills.
The experimental methods are described well. The authors choose to break down the measures
individually and give a clear paragraph with a sub heading to each measure. The specific training
protocol also has its own subheading and is easy to locate within the paper. Specific quiet eye
training instructions are separated from the text and are numbered clearly for the reader to see.
Furthermore, the study design and methods are very much appropriate for the purposes of the
study. The study s set up and methods allows the authors to address the aims set in the
introduction, and they do so in the discussion and conclusion. In addition, the procedures are
thoroughly detailed and allow for reproduction from academic readers. The procedures are listed to
such a level that gives the study a strong level of

How Would Fenris To Come Lonely
Fenris would never admit to getting lonely.
It happened rarely. He d return to his decrepit mansion after a long day of murdering various
groups of slavers, bandits, and other terrible people preying on those who can t defend themselves
with Hawke, and he d finally have time to himself. He d never admit it, but he hated it. After
spending the entire day with those people, only to come home and be reminded that he is truly

to find a way to calm himself, or he would break.
Tonight was one of these nights.
He hadn t been home two hours when he started feeling anxious. He paced, back and forth in his
bedroom, fidgeting with the gauntlets he hadn t bothered to remove yet. He knew he d never be
able to sleep in this state, and working on his reading and writing skills didn t seem to be much
of an option either. Slowly, he worked through his options in his head. He could get drunk, or go
for a walk, or work on fixing some of the more uncomfortable issues with the mansion... he hated
all of those ideas. He wanted to talk to someone, just for a little while. Just to remind himself that he

President Manuel Zelaya
In January 2009, President Manuel Zelaya decided, despite the opposition of the business elites, to
increase the country s minimum wage, which was until then the lowest of the region. The country
s elite and the powerful media organs began an intense campaign to discredit and vilify the
president and his cabinet. President Zelaya was accused of wanting to make a new Venezuela
(Naiman, 2011; Benjamin, 2009). Therefore, when he planned to change the constitution,
following a strong popular demand to revise it, the opposition accused him of wanting to do so to
make it possible for him to run again for the elections (in Honduras a president can be elected only

The libraries of Los Angeles are divided up according to region. Venice Beach Library is part of
the West Branches, which are managed by the West LA Library Branch Manager. This manager
receives orders and guidelines to follow from the head office. Next in the line of command, is the
head librarian. The head librarian is responsible to the West Branch manager. Within the library
itself and helping the head librarian, are four other librarians. Each librarian is in charge of
ordering and locating books, outreach programs and reading circles. Underneath them are the
clerks. The clerks are assigned to a particular librarian to take care of daily tasks such as counting
the cash, checking return boxes and deliveries, and reshelving books. Finally, the lowest in the
task force are the messenger clerks, who are part time employees who also work with particular
librarians. Each position is assigned specific tasks and assignments. The workplace is best
represented by the New Workplace, which offers flatter, more diverse and team centralized
management. In terms of management, the head librarian serves as a better leader by facilitating
self management with better and more open communication lines. The communication is two sided
and the head librarian when delegating tasks is very responsive and provides an open environment
where questioned are welcomed. There is also strong team association built into the structure.

Americans spend about ninety percent of their food budget on processed foods, which, unlike
whole foods, have been treated, stripped, altered, or refined in some way after being harvested or

importantly, preservativeare cheaper and therefore better for the company s budget. Although,
organic ingredients and foods would be more expensive, and because of this, we have the

While there are benefits in preservatives in order to preserve shelf life, these preservatives could
also negatively impact your vital organs causing decline in their functions. Are preservatives and
additives like this helping or hindering? Even foods which most would consider to be preservative
free and healthy often contains those additives. Take salad as an example, most Americans consider
it a healthy lunch. But it does not cross the average American s mind that something supposedly
healthy such as salad would bring issues due to the preservatives that were once present in them.
Anastasia Toufexis, Time Magazine author, informs us that sulfites were put in salads and
vegetables to keep them from wilting and discoloring. However, in the 1980s, the FDA took control
and limited the intake of sulfites by mandating that foods containing more than 10 parts per million
of sulfites must list this information on the food label. (Robin) The FDA has yet to ban them, they
simply require food companies to list them on the label. Currently, most Americans also see the
protein foods or meal replacement shakes they eat after working out or to lose weight as healthy;
however, most of these are also full of preservatives. Men s Fitness focuses on the food that people
eat it without thinking because it says it is meant to help fitness. People are unaware that the
majority of the ingredients in health foods are still acids, preservatives, and mostly, sugar. This fact

Early Signs Of A Progressive Dementia
The early signs of a progressive dementia often bring discord to families, because siblings
disagree on what is really wrong and chalk up the changes they are seeing to depression,
boredom, a recent illness or even allergies . One of the family members usually suspects
something like Alzheimer s but the other disagree thus diagnosis is delayed. Early dementia is
also known as MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) and only about half of those with this diagnosis
move on to one of the more progressive dementias. So, it is understandable that some in a family
might say Grandma was just like Dad. But, she was able to take care of herself till she was 85.
The importance of early diagnosis is three fold: 1) Allows the person with a progressive illness
to be more involved with the planning for the future. 2) Allows the AD person to participate in
drug studies and/or to take medications that extend the functionality for activities of daily living.
3) Helps the primary care givers to plan for the future so they are not always wondering what will
happen they then can start planning for sharing the care, cost of care and legal documents that will
be needed. If your family member is younger and you have not sought a diagnosis it is sometimes
a good idea to seek Long Term Insurance before the diagnosis because would most often a dementia
diagnosis would prohibit that individual from qualifying. Dementia itself is a more global
impairment not just in memory, but in the

The Creation Of Israel By John F. Kennedy
Joey Dettore
Mrs. Whitney
Global Perspectives
3/15/16
The Creation of Israel Israel was not created in order to disappear Israel will endure and flourish.
It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor
demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom.
These are John F. Kennedy s thoughts and opinions upon the creation of Israel. In the time leading
up to the creation of Israel, the Jews had endured much suffering through the terrible acts of the
Holocaust. Jews have proven to rise from the despair and the suffering that they had to endure and
they ultimately created something stupendous: their own country. There have been many obstacles
in the way for the Jews to do this, the biggest being the Arab Palestinians. The Arab Palestinians
objected to the Arab Jews forming a nation and if it were not for the help of the United States,
Israel would have never been able to overrule the power of the Arab Palestinians and take over the
land for themselves. With tremendous support from the United States, the creation of Israel
exemplifies the joyous and magnificent accomplishment that not only Arab Jews accomplished, but
all Jews. In the time leading up to the creation of Israel, the Jews were motivated to establish their
own country in the territory of Palestine with the support of other countries around the world. There
were many contributions that lead to the creation of

Transportation In The 1800 s
Throughout the 1800 s, methods of transportation were limited; people either used horses or rode
on the train. Most people lived in town near their work. With the introduction of the automobile,
society evolved and soon transformed to fit the need of people s transportation. Many of those
needs caused by automobileinvention included society, economy and finally, politics. The changes
resulting from the invention of the automobile caused social differences among people. Because of
the new ability to travel far away, people had more opportunities to experience life outside of their

from working in the automobile industry. One man who was realized for his automobile work,

Because more people had a chance to own a car, people didn t have to live in the city. They could

Dubliners By James Joyce
Dubliners, is a book in which James Joyce takes his readers back to early 20th century Dublin.
Joyce s collection of short stories portrays his homeland, Ireland, at a time of stagnation and the
beginning of the Irish Nationalist Movements, which sought independence from Great Britain.
With such dependence, Ireland and its citizens lives could not move forward and to enliven this
condition in his book Joyce use three great concepts. In the first short story Joyce mentions the
words gnomon, simony, and paralysis, and by doing so he foreshadows the themes of every
story and how they are a close description of Dublin at that time. Joyce use the concept of
gnomon to typify incompleteness, disconnection, and being in the shadow of someone or
something, which is a important theme in his book about the empty and incomplete lives of the
Irish. Before meeting the odd old man, the boys decided to skip school and go looking for
adventures like in the Wild West, and the narrator tells: But when the restraining influence of the
school was at a distance I began to hunger again for wild sensations, for the escape which those
chronicles of disorder alone seemed to offer me. The mimic warfare of the evening became at last
as wearisome to me as the routine of school in the morning because I wanted real adventures to
happen to myself. But real adventures, I reflected, do not happen to people who remain at home:
they must be sought abroad. ( An Encounter 13) Their

Ibm Is Generating A High Profit Essay
average of 1% IBM is generating a high profit margin to earn a greater profit.
Return on Assets:
Return on Assets (ROA) measures how profitably a company uses their assets by net income
divided by the average total assets. Assets are either tangible or intangible items the company
owns. For example, things like buildings, equipment, cash, office supplies, or accounts
receivable (receiving cash from customers on services you have performed). To find the average
total assets, you use the same idea as the return on equity method, but instead you add up all of
the assets and average them, instead of using just one account. IBM measured ROA of 13% in
2013 and 10% in 2014. In order to know how well the company did, it s best to compare these
percentages to the industry average of 1.6% to get a better idea of where they stand. In this case,
IBM produces more profit for every $1, than the industry average. Even though there may have
been a slight decline, IBM is still currently producing well above.
Profitability Conclusion: IBM was well above the industry average for all of the profitability
ratios with given industry averages. Although the company was successful in this category it doesn
t mean the company is successful as a whole. There are other groups to consider before making a
final judgement on how well IBM s performance is. Stockholder/Investor Relations: Stockholder s

Objective Tinnitus Case Study
The uncomfortable pain of Objective Tinnitus is common in many individuals who yet are
unaware of the hearing issue they may have. This research was conducted to determine if there was
a method for Objective Tinnitus to be reduced or eliminated. A 38 year old women with objective
tinnitus and sensorineural hearing loss in her right ear was tested over 2 years (Champlin, Muller,
Mitchell, 1990, 817). Surgical procedures were performed using therapeutic embolization. Other
testing methods used were computerized axial tomography (CAT), and a miniature microphone
system (Champlin, Muller, Mitchell, 1990, 816). These were used to identify if there were any
abnormalities on the brain or auditory system. The data recorded showed that the amplitude
measurements used in left and right ear for ambient and suppressed conditions were similar.
Spectrum energy of tinnitus was concentrated base on frequency below 2000 hertz (Hz) and often
exceeding 40 (decibels) sound pressure level (SPL) (Champlin, Muller, Mitchell, 1990, 818). Both

Comparing Emerson And Ralph Waldo Emerson
Ralph Waldo Emerson says There is a time in every man s education when he arrives at the
conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide. This quote is immensely true you
should always be true to yourself and you shouldn t envy people you don t really know that
much about. You should stay true to yourself because if you want to imitate someone who are
killing yourself figuratively. How is your inner self alive if you don t display it no one knows
who you really are so your soul is dead to others. They would just see that you are like everyone
else or like someone else in particular and then you will be compared to the other person which
isn t what people usually want. If someone were to compare you to someone and you are just off
there in the corner hearing this and they are saying blah blah he s/she s exactly like so and so
and you are just like no I m me , but you have no proof because what they are saying is true. Your
inner self would never be known to people if you like to hide away and just do what it is popular
they we ll see you as just no one special and everyone wants to have something different about
them that s what makes people awesome there is not two of the same exact people, so why would
you want to strive to be exactly like another person.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If you don t know the person well there may be something about that person that other people
know so they make you think you do that which could be something bad, so that is negative on
your part. For example if you dress like a pot head people are gonna think you are a pot head
simple as that. People like to make assumptions and you don t want those assumptions to be

Igbo Tribe Analysis
In the Ibo tribe, the book evidently shows that their titles, trophies, and status is at the utmost
importance. Status can be predetermined by your ancestors or someone s actions. Throughout the
book, the Ibo tribe start to adapt new customs and traditions. In effect, people started to lower their
reputation. In today s world we are similar to the Ibo tribe because we use status to label people or
things.
Status can give people motivation to succeed and live better than others. Families that attain their
reputation are treated with more respect. In the book, Okonkwo wanted to put his sons in the ozo
tribe. When the foreigners took over the land, they dominated their religion, markets, and culture.
The foreigners influenced Nwoye to become

  • 2. My Classroom Environment My classroom is geared for a Kindergarten class of 20 students, in a general education setting. The learning environment has been organized to maximize the students safety, allow for student and teacher movement, promote collaboration among peers, and foster student engagement in classroom activities. Furniture utilized in this setting is developmentally and size appropriate, so that children are comfortable. Storage cubbies, equipment, and materials have been placed in areas that are easily accessible to both myself and my students without restricting the flow of classroom traffic or blocking the students view of or access to learning materials. I did not decorate every inch of space on my classroom walls. I feel that this gives the appearance of clutter and pose more of a problem than a purpose. I utilized neutral, calming colors as the backdrop for bulletin boards, as to not visually overwhelm my students. Also, since my classroom only has one window, the access to natural light is limited. I felt that use of bright or neon lights in combination with the florescent lighting could potentially be distracting to my students. Bulletin boards will primarily serve to showcase student work, with posters displaying curriculum content placed intermittently, except for the Calendar Math board and the Word Wall. These will both be year round, interactive boards. Additionally, flip charts on castor wheels will be utilized for small group and differentiated learning. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Anti Semitism And The Nazi Party Section A: Plan of Investigation The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the extent to which anti Semitism throughout Germany contributed to Hitler s rise to power. The main body of the investigation will focus on the tactics which were used within the Nazi party to gain support towards Hitler s political beliefs. The formation of the Nazi party and the use of anti Semitic propaganda will also be analyzed. Sources will be assessed in order to formulate reasoning behind the effectiveness of Hitler s influence over the Nazi party. Journal articles and speeches from this time period will be examined according to their origin, value, purpose and limitations. These documents as well as a summary of evidence will be used to properly evaluate the investigation. Section B: Summary of Evidence Hitler s Anti Semitic background In 1908 Hitler made Vienna, a place with widespread Anti Semitism, his home. According to Hitler, his time spent in Vienna shaped his beliefs, particularly his perception of them.(Smelser) While in Vienna prior to World War I (1914 1918), Hitler developed anti Semitic views, most likely created by his resentment of wealthy Jewish citizens during his years of extreme poverty and impoverishment.(Altman 28) Hitler s beliefs Within Hitler s beliefs, the Jews were a cause of danger to Germany and to humanity as a whole.(Smelser) Hitler believed the Aryan race was inferior to others. • 4. Should Terminally Ill People Have The Right To Take Their... Terminally ill people should have the right to take their own life in order to end their excruciating suffering and pain. Every person should have the right to a dignified and compassionate death, and giving this right to a terminally ill person would give that individual the feeling of a respectful and noble death. When a person s health has reached the level of terminally ill and there is no quality of life, the purpose of life is meaningless; in fact it can be darn right mean. Seeing a loved one sufferingin unbearable pain is not only dreadful for the terminally ill person to endure, but it is just as horrible if not more horrendous for family members to watch their loved ones go through this misery. • 5. The East St. Louis Race Riots The East St. Louis Race Riots Chloe Turner Government, Mr. Wilson, Period 1 Abstract This paper explains a very important moment in the history of our government that took place in Illinois in 1917. As World War I was beginning for the United States things were heating up in East St. Louis, Illinois. Anti black riots killed or injured over one hundred black civilians. Then a Silent Parade of over ten thousand black citizens from New York broke out. Civil rights have always been an issue in our government, and according to www.kidzworld.com, after these anti black riots, things eventually led to the development of the The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and from that, Rosa Parks did not give up her seat on the bus. The creation of the NAACP also influenced the Little Rock, Arkansas incident, Martin L. King s I Have a Dream Speech, and many other things which eventually led to equal rights for everyone with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This paper will explain the riots and how it shaped our government into providing equal jobs for all races. The East St. Louis Race Riots As stated in a YouTube video from Nine Network, St. Louis back in 1917 was a place of many jobs and it was often said that if you couldn t find work anywhere in St. Louis then you wouldn t be able to find work anywhere else. When World War I cut off the flow of immigrants from Eastern Europe, companies went to the American South ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Why Is Steve Jobs The Biggest Innovator Majd Ashkar Mr. Spilles World History 1D 15 October 2014 Steve Jobs, the Second Biggest Innovator in the World Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower (Jobs). I can take a camera and make a replica of it, but change one thing in it, and I would be considered an inventor. Steve Jobs always used other products from varieties of different companies to gather up ideas and combine them into what we now call his invention . The only work Steve Jobs has done was to think of what device he wants to enhance, something he thought would attract more people to the product. Innovation has nothing to do with how many R D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R D. It s not about money. It s about the people you have, how you re led, and how much you get it (Jobs). An inventor, is a person that creates ideas and products. An innovator is a person that introduces the ideas and products. If someone created something that can be used by others to make things of their own, they should be thought of as inventors. Steven Paul Steve Jobs worked for one of the most famous companies in the world, Apple. Steve Jobs was an entrepreneur, an inventor , and a marketer. He was born on February 24, 1955 and died on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the person in the position of the inventor should be Steve Wozniak. Steve Wozniak is a computer programmer. He co founded Apple computer, what is now Apple inc., with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. He designed the Apple I and Apple II in the late 1970s. He did not copy any other design when he made them and he used his own materials. Steve Jobs is now considered to be the second top innovator in the world after Thomas Edison. Apollo Victorious Over Python Analysis Final Paper For this research paper, I will compare and contrast Pietro Francavilla s sculpture of Apollo Victorious over Python from the Renaissances period to Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres s painting of Oedipus and the Sphinx from the Neo Classical period. The two pieces of work were both displayed at the Walters Art Musuem. Apollo Victorious over Python was displayed on the 2nd floor in the Sculpture Court, it was the open and spacious center room. Missouri Compromise The Missouri Compromise The Missouri Compromise, written by Henry Clay, attempted to limit the slavery boundaries; it was later declared unconstitutional and is also considered one of many events that led to the American Civil War. Clay received his nickname with his masterful negotiation of issues that threatened to tear the relatively new country apart. Henry Clay grew up in Kentucky and represented Kentucky, which was a border state between the South and North, because of this Henry Clay was able to relate to both the North s and South s beliefs on slavery. Since Henry Clay knew both sides of slavery he was able to act as an unbiased representative for the senate and was able to create the Missouri compromise without bias. The Missouri compromise included a solution to the dispute caused by Missouri wanting to become a new slave state. Largely through the efforts of Henry Clay the amendment was accepted by the House. Missouri was authorized to submit a proslavery constitution and Maine was admitted to the Union. The Missouri constitution was presented to Congress for approval in 1821. It included a paragraph requiring the legislature to prevent the immigration of free blacks into the state. The antislavery faction in Congress objected to this provision and a compromise bill, often called the Second Missouri Compromise, was passed on March 2, 1821. This measure forbade Missouri to limit the rights guaranteed to all citizens by the federal government, meaning it could not ban the entry of free blacks into the state. ... How Significant Artists Are Influenced By Events Examine how significant artists are influenced by events in the world INTRO: In art, Romanticism is the expression of a personal response to a subject or emotion. It was a reaction against the formal logic and organisation of neo classicism as artists added free manifestation of their personal interpretation of events in their world through subject matter reflecting attitudes or moods. Withing artworks, artists expressed traumatic and gruesome circumstances of war and terror through the politics of figurative art. With this, human bodies were centralised using figures as the focal point as they were the dominant feature, in an environment that adds meaning. David s painting is a neo classical work that restores the ethical ideas of antiquity. Ancient ideas are demonstrated with the use of structural devices such as the columns used to support the building. These arches correspond with the grouping figures. Figures that are framed by the arches and being separated by the columns include; the brothers, the father, and the women. Roman architecture in this painting is characterised by the absence of a base. However, it is grounded by strong tiles displayed as a grid. As seen in The Raft of Medusa , David s painting also consists of triangular composition which is a clear focal point. Gericault s triangle of hope is seen as a progression from the depths of despair to an apex of hope, whereas David s is a logically organised triangle configuration which highlights the allegiance to the family. Many people believe that all you need to do is have a good transcript while some believe that you should be in clubs, play sports, have jobs, and other things outside of just school work. Although the Supreme Court in 1954 in Brown vs. The Topeka Board of Education declared segregation illegal, our student center today probably looks the way diners looked sixty years ago. White supremacy and black inferiority have been an epidemic in our nation since the founding of our country. Our country is said to be one of the greatest democratic countries of all time; nevertheless, we have faced great problems such as slavery and unfair distribution of wealth. Our Constitution has helped to shape one of the greatest democratic countries, but it can simultaneously be deprecated for its promotion of institutional racism. People such as Thomas Jefferson, who owned slaves, wrote the Constitution. As a result, our country was founded on white supremacist beliefs. Our founding fathers were supposed to be drafting one of the greatest democratic documents ever written, but at the same time they were taking away from blacks certain freedoms and unalienable rights, rights and freedoms that they themselves had fought for against the British. Our founding fathers spoke of equality and the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but at the same time, they owned slaves and viewed them as property. Because slave owners such as Thomas Jefferson were our founding fathers, our country was founded not only on the idea of democracy, but white supremacy. • 29. President Manuel Zelaya In January 2009, President Manuel Zelaya decided, despite the opposition of the business elites, to increase the country s minimum wage, which was until then the lowest of the region. The country s elite and the powerful media organs began an intense campaign to discredit and vilify the president and his cabinet. President Zelaya was accused of wanting to make a new Venezuela (Naiman, 2011; Benjamin, 2009). Therefore, when he planned to change the constitution, following a strong popular demand to revise it, the opposition accused him of wanting to do so to make it possible for him to run again for the elections (in Honduras a president can be elected only once)(Ruhl, 2010). On June 28, soldiers stormed into the presidential palace and sent... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, after the coups in Madagascar and Mauritania, the U.S. did not hesitate to immediately and totally stop their aid (Main, 2010; Weisbrot, 2011; Chomsky, 2010). It did not withdraw its ambassador from Tegucigalpa as the European countries did. The U.S. continued training Honduran officers and the IMF, after withdrawing loans to the Zelaya government following disagreements over his economic policies, provided a loan of 150$ million to the coup regime (Chomsky, 2010). Nonetheless, the U.S. did take some measures. They suspended their non humanitarian aid, cancelled the visas of the leading members and supporters of the interim government but they did not resort to the most effective trade sanctions and slowly but surely diminished their support for Manuel Zelaya (Ruhl, 2010). They supported an agreement between him and Roberto Micheletti, the interim president, that would create a unity government and reinstate Manuel Zelaya. However, when this turned sour, the Obama administration did not move an inch (Ruhl, 2010). Washington then announced that the U.S. would recognise the November elections, giving very little hope to President Zelaya s of ever coming back to power (Rulh, 2010; Main, 2010). Management Study at a Library Essay examples Introduction Management, as defined by Daft and Marcic, is the effective and efficient attainment of organizational goals, through planning, organizing, leading and controlling organizational resources. This community service organizational study has allowed our group to extend our learning outside the classroom and apply managementtheories to the real world. The site that we volunteered at was the Venice Library. Upon first arriving, our team thought that it was going to be a struggle to try and observe real life managerial workings at a library as compared to the other non profits. Within the library itself and helping the head librarian, are four other librarians. Each librarian is in charge of ordering and locating books, outreach programs and reading circles. Underneath them are the clerks. The clerks are assigned to a particular librarian to take care of daily tasks such as counting the cash, checking return boxes and deliveries, and reshelving books. Finally, the lowest in the task force are the messenger clerks, who are part time employees who also work with particular librarians. Each position is assigned specific tasks and assignments. The workplace is best represented by the New Workplace, which offers flatter, more diverse and team centralized management. In terms of management, the head librarian serves as a better leader by facilitating self management with better and more open communication lines. The communication is two sided and the head librarian when delegating tasks is very responsive and provides an open environment where questioned are welcomed. While there are benefits in preservatives in order to preserve shelf life, these preservatives could also negatively impact your vital organs causing decline in their functions. Are preservatives and additives like this helping or hindering? Even foods which most would consider to be preservative free and healthy often contains those additives. Take salad as an example, most Americans consider it a healthy lunch. But it does not cross the average American s mind that something supposedly healthy such as salad would bring issues due to the preservatives that were once present in them. Anastasia Toufexis, Time Magazine author, informs us that sulfites were put in salads and vegetables to keep them from wilting and discoloring. However, in the 1980s, the FDA took control and limited the intake of sulfites by mandating that foods containing more than 10 parts per million of sulfites must list this information on the food label. (Robin) The FDA has yet to ban them, they simply require food companies to list them on the label. Currently, most Americans also see the protein foods or meal replacement shakes they eat after working out or to lose weight as healthy; however, most of these are also full of preservatives. Men s Fitness focuses on the food that people eat it without thinking because it says it is meant to help fitness. • 32. Early Signs Of A Progressive Dementia The early signs of a progressive dementia often bring discord to families, because siblings disagree on what is really wrong and chalk up the changes they are seeing to depression, boredom, a recent illness or even allergies . One of the family members usually suspects something like Alzheimer s but the other disagree thus diagnosis is delayed. Early dementia is also known as MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) and only about half of those with this diagnosis move on to one of the more progressive dementias. So, it is understandable that some in a family might say Grandma was just like Dad. But, she was able to take care of herself till she was 85. The importance of early diagnosis is three fold: 1) Allows the person with a progressive illness to be more involved with the planning for the future. 2) Allows the AD person to participate in drug studies and/or to take medications that extend the functionality for activities of daily living. 3) Helps the primary care givers to plan for the future so they are not always wondering what will happen they then can start planning for sharing the care, cost of care and legal documents that will be needed. If your family member is younger and you have not sought a diagnosis it is sometimes a good idea to seek Long Term Insurance before the diagnosis because would most often a dementia diagnosis would prohibit that individual from qualifying. Kennedy Joey Dettore Mrs. Whitney Global Perspectives 3/15/16 The Creation of Israel Israel was not created in order to disappear Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom. These are John F. Kennedy s thoughts and opinions upon the creation of Israel. In the time leading up to the creation of Israel, the Jews had endured much suffering through the terrible acts of the Holocaust. Jews have proven to rise from the despair and the suffering that they had to endure and they ultimately created something stupendous: their own country. There have been many obstacles in the way for the Jews to do this, the biggest being the Arab Palestinians. The Arab Palestinians objected to the Arab Jews forming a nation and if it were not for the help of the United States, Israel would have never been able to overrule the power of the Arab Palestinians and take over the land for themselves. With tremendous support from the United States, the creation of Israel exemplifies the joyous and magnificent accomplishment that not only Arab Jews accomplished, but all Jews. In the time leading up to the creation of Israel, the Jews were motivated to establish their own country in the territory of Palestine with the support of other countries around the world. • 37. Dubliners By James Joyce Dubliners, is a book in which James Joyce takes his readers back to early 20th century Dublin. Joyce s collection of short stories portrays his homeland, Ireland, at a time of stagnation and the beginning of the Irish Nationalist Movements, which sought independence from Great Britain. With such dependence, Ireland and its citizens lives could not move forward and to enliven this condition in his book Joyce use three great concepts. In the first short story Joyce mentions the words gnomon, simony, and paralysis, and by doing so he foreshadows the themes of every story and how they are a close description of Dublin at that time. Joyce use the concept of gnomon to typify incompleteness, disconnection, and being in the shadow of someone or something, which is a important theme in his book about the empty and incomplete lives of the Irish. Before meeting the odd old man, the boys decided to skip school and go looking for adventures like in the Wild West, and the narrator tells: But when the restraining influence of the school was at a distance I began to hunger again for wild sensations, for the escape which those chronicles of disorder alone seemed to offer me. The mimic warfare of the evening became at last as wearisome to me as the routine of school in the morning because I wanted real adventures to happen to myself. • 38. Ibm Is Generating A High Profit Essay average of 1% IBM is generating a high profit margin to earn a greater profit. Return on Assets: Return on Assets (ROA) measures how profitably a company uses their assets by net income divided by the average total assets. Assets are either tangible or intangible items the company owns. For example, things like buildings, equipment, cash, office supplies, or accounts receivable (receiving cash from customers on services you have performed). To find the average total assets, you use the same idea as the return on equity method, but instead you add up all of the assets and average them, instead of using just one account. IBM measured ROA of 13% in 2013 and 10% in 2014. In order to know how well the company did, it s best to compare these percentages to the industry average of 1.6% to get a better idea of where they stand. In this case, IBM produces more profit for every $1, than the industry average. Even though there may have been a slight decline, IBM is still currently producing well above. Profitability Conclusion: IBM was well above the industry average for all of the profitability ratios with given industry averages. Although the company was successful in this category it doesn t mean the company is successful as a whole. There are other groups to consider before making a final judgement on how well IBM s performance is. This research was conducted to determine if there was a method for Objective Tinnitus to be reduced or eliminated. A 38 year old women with objective tinnitus and sensorineural hearing loss in her right ear was tested over 2 years (Champlin, Muller, Mitchell, 1990, 817). Surgical procedures were performed using therapeutic embolization. Other testing methods used were computerized axial tomography (CAT), and a miniature microphone system (Champlin, Muller, Mitchell, 1990, 816). These were used to identify if there were any abnormalities on the brain or auditory system. The data recorded showed that the amplitude measurements used in left and right ear for ambient and suppressed conditions were similar.
