to me.In Part I, the research stated prominent area where certain groups of Black immigrants like

Max will stop at nothing to please the woman he likes, Miss Cross. Max once tried to build an
aquarium in the middle of the baseball diamond at his high school after he learned Miss Cross had a
mini fish bowl in her classroom. Unexpectedly to Max, a man he once admired, Mr. Blume and Miss
Cross were eventually in love and Max didn t know how to properly handle himself after the incident.
One time we see Max trying to handle the change is when he learns Miss Cross is in love with Mr.
Blume and not him and in this max response when it says, Mr. Blume pulls into the driveway to pick
up the twins from school. There is a lot of traffic and kids are running around everywhere. Mr. Blume
taps the brakes. Nothing happens. He flies toward the back of a parked station wagon (Rushmore). Mr.
Blume tries to break his car to park but realizes he cannot because his brakes have been cut, this
coming after the scene cuts from Max cutting Mr. Blumes tires. This shows how dangerous Max can
be when he is dealt with an occasion like this. He could have killed him from this incident. As seen,
Max is a violent person when it comes to dealing with change. Another time we seen Max having to
deal with change is when he gets kicked out of his beloved high school, Rushmore. He is kicked out
for reasons including bad grades, and the incidents with Miss Cross. We see how Max reacts to this

Pros And Cons Of Violence In Video Games
Ever since the nineteen eighties people, usually politicians and the news media, have been quick to
blame video games for societal woes, saying violence in video games causes violent behavior and
makes people anti social. Some have even argued video games cause racism, sexism, and cause health
problems, but most research that points towards video games being bad are inconsistent and
sometimes contradictory. And yet people still want to restrict and censor video games, even though
they are an art form just like film or paintings or what have you, and because they are an art form they
are a form of media and are protected under the first amendment. Violent video games do not cause
real world violence like any art form they only mirror the violence of the real world, and it is
contradictory to think that they cause actual violence. Video games have even been shown to be
healthy, they relieve stress and increase hand eye coordination, and are a positive, non violent form of
relieving aggression in a way that does not cause physical harm to others.
The ESRB video game rating system which was introduced in the nineteen nineties and it is not
legally binding and yet most retailers treat video games as if they were alcohol and tobacco corrupting
the youth. Unlike tobacco and alcohol they do not put toxic chemicals into a person s body unlike any
sort of drug legal or otherwise. While a person can die from lack of physical activity video games

Nursing Career Path
Most people my age don t know which career path to pursue. I have always known that I wanted to be
a nurse. As a young child, I was involved in a burn accident that required emergency care. I distinctly
remember the care that I received from the nurses and their genuine compassion for me as a patient.
That event has had a profound influence on my decision to pursue a career in nursing.
As an adult, I have begun to make this goal a reality by applying myself to my academics and learning
to balance my school and work life. I believe that this skill will not only benefit my personal life, but

First, in order to put everything in perspective, we must return to the dawn of our universe. In the

In Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone by W.H. Auden the author uses different literary devices to
portray the theme of overwhelming grief and loss. In the poem, the speaker is someone who has
recently lost a loved one. The person is so distraught that they start issuing harsh demands. The
speaker wants everything to stop and all noise to seize. He or she then starts revealing more personal
details by telling how much the loved one meant to them. This poem is dramatic and successfully uses
literary devices to show how the speaker is feeling in their time of grief. W.H. Auden uses metaphors,
personification, and overstatements to reveal the effects of overwhelming grief.
First, W.H. Auden uses metaphors throughout the poem in order to reveal how the speaker feels for the
loved one they lost. A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object
or action to which it is not literally applicable. The first metaphor W.H. Auden uses is He was my
North, my South, my East and West (9). This metaphor conveys that the person who has died means a
lot to the speaker. The directions refer to the direction the speaker s life is going. This implies that the

The Social Cause of College Drop Out Rates Fifty six percent of students who enroll in college will
drop out within 6 years due to the constant stress of balancing work and school, expensive tuition, and
high societal standards (Atlas 1). The typical college freshman is not mentally or emotionally prepared

balancing work and school because students do not know how to properly manage their time. With
