Value Of Belongingness Theory
Roy Baumeister and Mark Leary s article attends to develop and evaluate the hypothesis that a need to
belong is fundamental human motivation. This distinct section examined and focused on the
applicability of the need to belong. More precisely, the authors state the hypothesis that human beings
have a certain drive to form and keep at least a minimum amount of positive and significant
interpersonal relationships. The object of the authors is to increase the scholarship around sense of
belonging and advance in the field of psychology and outside of it. It is provided in the beginning of
the article what are the dimensions of this topic and in what context it fits in. At the interdisciplinary
level, the belongingness hypothesis might help psychology in many different ways; one of them is to
recompose itself from the challenge placed by cultural materialism. Thus, the belonging hypothesis
has considerable value for personality and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The article also attends to respond how people get motivated from interpersonal bonds. Thus, despite
of the frequent, speculative assertions that people need to belong, the belongingness hypothesis needs
to be critically evaluated. There is an immense necessity for empirical evidence. One of the goals for
this article is to convoke a large body of empirical evidence. Baumeister and Leary are seeking to
examine the vast amount of untested information about need to belong (p.497). In addition, the
authors mention that the hypothesis implies that people should struggle to achieve a certain minimum
amount and quality of social contacts but that once this level is surpassed, the motivation should
diminish. The need is not to all kind of bonds, it has its limitations. Something relevant for the vast
majority of readers is the fact that people will gradually experience less satisfaction on formation of

Comparing Byzantine And Western Culture
The two halves shared some similarities and one of them was the form of entertainment that occurred
in their culture. The Roman Empire and Byzantine cherished watching gladiator fights as well as
chariot races at the big stadiums. In Rome they watched at the coliseum while in Byzantine the
watching was done at Circus Maximus.
Both the Western and the Eastern halves considered themselves Roman s even though Eastern Rome
was greatly influenced by Greek Culture. However, the Eastern half has its headquarters in
Constantinople city and not Rome. The end of the late antiquity marked the split of the Roman Empire
into two, i.e. Western Rome and Eastern Rome. The former mainly spoke Latin while the latter spoke
Geek. The Western Rome was less densely

The Righteous Dopefiend Analysis
No matter where we are in the world, there is always some kind of relationship that we will come to
attain in life. Whether it be with blood relatives or complete strangers, a relationship would develop
within one another. A kinship is broadly identified as a term describing any kind of relations or
connection with others. In ethnographies such as The Righteous Dopefiend and Raw Life, New Hope,
the characters have mostly been identified as impoverished living in a completely different world.
Although one setting is in San Francisco and the other is in South Africa, every person interviewed in
both of the ethnographies develops a kinship with people that care and show compassion. Reading
these two ethnographies, one can compare and see its similarities ... Show more content on

Take for example the lives of refugees from North Korea moving to the South. The refugees seeked a
better home to live in since most women were forced to be prostitutes. Although they hoped their lives
would be better in South Korea, they were completely wrong. After arriving in South Korea, they
noticed that the only way to survive was to have some kind of kinship or network in such a capitalist
and advanced society. An outsider status was anyone who didn t fit the social networks and social
capital required for negotiating the competitive environment (Markus Bell, 245). Though there are
strict regulations on creating any kind of relationships such as marriage, employment, and socializing.
This is only if one does not integrate oneself accordingly since the North Korean aspect is different.
According to many anthropologists, the link to Korean kinship is well connected to even South Africa
s and the Chinese. The Korean kinship is known to be based on local lineage or close relationships
even ones that are not biological. There is another kind of relationship where it is not necessarily
intimate, but still considered as some kind of kinship: pseudo kinship. In a pseudo kinship, the
relationship is a lasting emotional significance (Bell, 246). These are in enhanced especially in areas
where the environment is extremely hostile and and radical. To many people, kinships are supposed to

Car Insurance Essay
Depending on the use you give your car, you should consider what type of coverage you suits you and
your pocket, here we explain what comprehensive coverage and why acquire
You have decided to purchase a car insurance policy, well done! now it is important to know and learn
about the main types of coverage and what is the best for you. Before you decide you must think about
how you use the vehicle, who uses it, if you travel a lot on highways, age, type of car, etc .. The best
decision is an insurance policy car back you up and prevent pay repairs and medical expenses out of
pocket, but that is also a plan that fits your budget.
The first thing one thinks or wants is that coverage covers you all claim, and what comes to mind is
the wide coverage. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The insurance covers damage to the insured car as stolen, broken glass, vandalism and inclement
weather.
Your insurance policy should cover the costs of repairing your car after paying the deductible, which
is decided when you buy your coverage. For a lower payment, choose a higher deductible.
When choosing your auto insurance, consider the condition of your car. For older cars, comprehensive
coverage may not be the most economical solution, especially if the cost of insurance exceeds the
value of your car. However, if your car is new, comprehensive coverage would be the best option
because it would cover the repair or replacement of the car.
A wide coverage as the name says is where the car insured is benefited by the protection that is needed
in case of being a victim of a theft of the car or by accidents that cause injury or property damage to
third parties lost.
It also covers medical expenses that may cause injury suffered by the owner or occupant of the car
insured. When coverage is hire the best services of car care, doctors will, and administrative, to be

Ethnocentrism vs. Cultural Relativism
Ethnocentrism and Cultural Relativism
Ethnocentrism and cultural relativism are two contrasting terms that are displayed by different people
all over the world. Simply put, ethnocentrism is defined as judging other groups from the perspective
of one s own cultural point of view. Cultural relativism, on the other hand, is defined as the view that
all beliefs are equally valid and that truth itself is relative, depending on the situation, environment,
and individual. Each of these ideas has found its way into the minds of people worldwide. The
difficult part is attempting to understand why an individual portrays one or the other. It is a question
that anthropologists have been asking themselves for years. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

From then on, however, anything involving Arabic culture was deemed that of terrorists.
This process does work both ways, however. Citizens of other nations have long made it clear that
they believe Americans are nothing but greedy, power hungry people. I have known several people
that visited France, for example, and were treated as though they did not belong because they were
Americans.
Cultural relativism means the exact opposite of ethnocentrism. It can be summed up as believing that
all religious, ethical, aesthetic, and political beliefs are completely relative to the individual within a
cultural identity (www.cultural relativism.com). This means that there is no definite right or wrong ,
but rather an ever changing set of values for each separate culture.
I have not personally witnessed cultural relativism, however I do know that it very well exists. An
example of this idea is in something such as equality in the workplace for both men and women. A
person following the cultural relativist perspective would say that it is wrong to deny women that
equality in the workplace in America today. The cultural relativist would also say, however, that there
is a culture where it is acceptable to limit certain areas of freedom from women.
These two intricate issues will continue to be a part of every society until the end of time. One can
only hope to attempt to give a better understanding of the

The Blind Side Movie Analysis Essay
Fatlinda Osmani The Blind Side The Blind Side was a true movie about a homeless boy that had a
rough life until the Tuohy family took him in. As a child, he never had the chances that he did when
living with the Tuohy family. They then adopted the boy and became his legal guardian. After that
everything got better for Michael. I would recommend this to a friend because of all the different
important problems in this movie. Race plays a big part in this movie. Michael is an African American
boy, while his new family is white. Not only are their races different but their social class is different.
Michael was raised in the hood, while the Tuohy family was raised in a nice neighborhood. Examples
of these in the movie were when in the beginning Michael s friend s father drives them through an
affluent neighborhood to high school. He looks around like he has never seen anything like it before.
When he does get to school, he is not welcomed nicely from his white classmates. Another example
was when his adoptive mother goes to look for him when he runs away. She goes to check in Hurt
Village, which was where his biological mother used to live. Her encounter with Alton, which was an
African American, was a big cultural difference. She tells him not to step on the other side of town,
which shows how separated they are. Listening was a big thing in this film. There were plenty of
scenes about listening. The one that stands out the most was when Michaels adoptive mom sits down

Investigating The Behaviour Of Equipotential And Electric...
E1 Electrostatics (Potential Field)
Date: 26th of August 2014
Partners: Luke Silveira and Tivanka Anandappa
Introduction:
This practical involved investigating the behaviour of equipotential and electric field lines between
two electrodes (which represented the a parallel plate capacitor). Furthermore the effect of adding a
conductor and an insulator between the two electrodes was explored to determine the electric potential
produced from these configurations.
The setup involved three of paper with low conducting teledeltos paper on top to allow the marker to
locate the potential at different points between the parallel plate. The power supply provided the
potential difference of 10V between the two plates and thus etched marks ... Show more content on

From this relationship, it insinuates that potential decrease linearly with distance.
Equipment2: Power supply to supply power to the electrodes Multimeter measure the potential
difference Wooden box base for the parallel plate Two stainless steel clamps used as the two
electrodes Marking probe to sketch the equipotential lines Stainless steel disc used as the insulator and
conductor Three types of paper Plain A4 photocopy paper to record equipotential line markings
Carbon paper imprint the markings onto plain A4 Teledeltos paper low electrical conducting material
Results and Analysis
Part A:
Ideal parallel plate capacitor has electric field lines that are perpendicular to the plates surface
(between the two plates) and also perpendicular to the equipotential lines.
Diagram 1 (expected)
Uncertainties
This value was determined based on numerous measurements of the fluctuating voltages and 0.1V was
deemed a suitable value.
U(V) Multimeter: + 0.1V
Distances were measured using a 30 cm ruler with 1mm increments. Thus the uncertainty involved is
U(d) Distance: + 0.0005m
U(E)=U(V)/U(d) =0.1/10/0.005/0.168 =0.339 =+ 0.3 V/m
From linest, the total uncertainty =+ 3V/m
Theoretically calculated
The linear equation [2] E = ∆Vc/d can be used to calculate the theoretical electric field by subbing in
the values of ∆Vc as 10V and the

Stereotyping In Anney Boatwright s Bastards Out Of Carolina
As a society we often judge or form opinions based on others according to their gender, race and class;
this is called stereotyping. Stereotyping involves making generalizations to describe or differentiate a
group. Stereotypes are harmful to women and their experiences because they can cause bad decision
making that can lead to negative outcomes. Anney Boatwright in Dorothy Allison s novel Bastards
Out of Carolina is heavily burdened by the stereotype of being identified as white trash, which leads
her to making unorthodox decisions regarding her family in hope of breaking free of this white trash
stereotype. Stereotypes are destructive in the shaping of individuals lives, because they make us

It is evident that gender stereotypes limit women to culturally suitable gender roles and behaviors
while denouncing those who decide not to conform to such roles or behaviors. In Ann Petry s The
Street stereotypes deny Lutie of jobs that will provide financial stability for freedom. Lutie took the
civil service exam and was still only able to get a lower level government job. Black people are
stereotyped as being lazy and unintelligent which only left them with jobs such as shining shoes and
washing clothes and scrubbing floors for years and years...the hard work. The dirty work. The work
that pays the least. (70). Lutie is use to it though because she has no other option. Women are often
stereotyped for only being good for sex. When Lutie applies for different jobs there is always an alter
motif that involves sexual favors. Lutie throughout the novel was looked at as this sexual being in the
eyes of men. For example when she auditions to become a singer for Mr. Crosse he says she has to go
through six weeks of training that will cost her $125 dollars, which is money Lutie doesn t have and
instead of offering a payment plan he decides to present her with the option of having sex with him.
Also, how the Super is sexually obsessed with Lutie. These examples of the gender stereotype that
women are only good for sex holds Lutie back, because in the eyes of men that is all she is...a sex
object. These stereotypes brought on by society makes it

The Last Battle Of The Civil War
Leadership through Redemption
In Nicholas Lemann s story Redemption: The Last Battle of the Civil War, it shows a theme of
leadership through the main character of the story, and Adelbert Ames effectively demonstrates the
required traits of a main character and a leader. The book focused on a lot of events that happened in
the Reconstruction era. It tells about both the political characteristics and the social characteristics that
are unraveled throughout the reformation of the South and giving the African Americans the right to
vote along with other political freedoms. Throughout the story, Adelbert Ames successfully
demonstrates the qualities of a great protagonist and a leader. Adelbert Ames shows the theme of
leadership and how his change in his ambition and morality would make him a better leader in his life.
In the story, Adelbert Ames shows his great leadership and guidance. He was one of the great leaders
after the time of the Civil War. He was also a key contributor in the American Civil War. He was
quoted as a beau ideal of a division leader (32). His great leadership was awarded with the Medal of
Honor, which is one of the highest medals in the army. He was known as a man who would do
anything for his people and he would go the distance to help them out. As told by the story, he was a
leader that also treated his soldiers right. This is seen in this quote: Although he never permitted
anything to stand in his way, and never asked men to go where he would

The Evolution Of Hip Hop Music
When hip hop first emerged in the streets of New York in the 1970s, nobody predicted that this new
type of sound would become as admired and widespread as it has become. This new genre of music
has encouraged and motivated numerous artists from not just the United States, but elsewhere to
integrate their own originality and create a new sound that several audiences can enjoy throughout. I
started to pay attention to Puerto Rican rap group Calle 13 when I first heard their song Atreve Te Te .
This track had a different sound and lyrical content from other songs that were playing on the radio
during this time. It incorporated a Colombian Cumbia sound as well as Spanglish in their lyrics, which
other singles in the radio were not integrating.

Explain The Major Processes That Occur During The Prenatal...
The five major processes that occur during the prenatal and postnatal periods of human development
Proliferation, Migration, Differentiation, Myelination and Synaptogensis. Each stage relies on the
properly assembly of neuronal connections to assure a fully functioning organism. Proliferation is the
initial stage, activated during unification period of sperm and egg. This is where new cells begin to
divide, first forming brain cells. These brain cell originate from stem cells, which can be specialized
into nearly any cell in the human body. Once the proliferation process is underway, which research
suggests is less than first after conception, the cells divide uncontrollably. At over two hundred
thousand cells per minute, they do not stop ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This stage is the differentiation period. Here, the cells are assigned unique characteristics of structural,
biochemical and physiological properties all before the birth. Even the glial cells now become
specialized and develop into astrocytes and oligodendrocytes. These cells are extremely important in
the next stage of myelination. Myelination is the stage of neuronal development that is initiated
postnatally. After the baby is born the newly specialized glia cells begin constructing the fatty sheath
around the axon, need for the speed and effectiveness of the neural transmission between all the
neurons in the brain. Oligodendrocytes are responsible for the myelin produced in the central nervous
system. It commences first around the spinal, ascending from the hindbrain structures to the forebrain.
This process continues gradually for decades, until the brain is fully developed. Synaptogenesis is the
final stage of neural development. Neurons in this stage must establish the necessary connections for
proper functioning. Connections made early, that are frequently called upon are likely to remain strong

linguistic grounds, to roughly 1800 BC. The Nuristani languages probably split in such early times,
and are either classified as remote Indo Aryan dialects, or as an independent branch of Indo Iranian. It

Harry Potter s The Casual Vacancy
After the success of her popular Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling has recently branched out from
writing children s literature. Her first adult novel, The Casual Vacancy, explores more mature topics
and is aimed at a new demographic than her previous works. She challenges social issues with her
dark themes and her impeccable writing style captures the wide range of problems at the heart of a
small town. It becomes more apparent throughout the novel that each character is connected in a web
of misfortunes. Each individual has their own flaws and it becomes more apparent that there are
additional underlying issues at the center of the pretty little town (Tait). J.K. Rowling s The Casual
Vacancy, Krystal Weedon is the troubled hero of the novel as she struggles to overcome difficulties in
her life after the death of her mentor, Barry Fairbrother. The author behind this controversial narrative

Powerful Enlightened Depots
Enlightened despotism is defined as a form of government in the 18th century in which absolute
monarchs pursued legal, social, and educational reforms inspired by the Enlightenment (The Editors
of Encyclopaedia Britannica). The magnitude of the philosophy movement known as the
Enlightenment sent ripples throughout Western society. The philosophers believed that in order to
improve society they had to enlighten the monarchs. The views of the Enlightenment did to find their
way inside the palaces of Europe s leaders; however, the monarchs retained their great power of
absolute rule. Among these enlightened despots of the age were Frederick the Great of Prussia,
Catherine the Great of Russia, and Joseph II of Austria. These leaders all attempted to bring their
respective countries into a new age. The basis of enlightened despotism was the idea of improving the
lives of a country s citizens. This concept of leadership during this time was ultimately a good idea,
but it was not successfully exercised to its fullest extent. From a young age, Frederick the Great took a
great liking to culture and literature. He was especially infatuated with the language and lifestyle of
the French. The French philosopher Voltaire was a friend to Frederick and had a great influence on his
Enlightenment ideals. He initially hid his love of the Enlightenment during his reign, but later he
began to realize how the philosophies of the movement could actually advance and fortify his state.

The Social Institution Of Education
Education is perceived by society as a means to achieve high levels of success in all aspects of life.
Although steps have been taken to afford individuals the opportunity to obtain an education, there still
lies an inequality and therefore, a social problem is created. Using the sociological perspectives of
functionalist, conflict, feminist, and interactionist, we can see how each perspective views how this
inequality becomes prevalent and how social, as well as economic inequalities of society are inherited
through education. Functionalist define a social problem by looking for the functions and dysfunctions
of a given topic. The main function of the social institution of education is to educate. Functionalists
argue that education struggles to complete it s intended task of education the youth due to the
additional tasks that the institution has been assigned. The educational system has taken on roles that
normally would be the functions of other social institutions. The education system provides services to
students and parents for various problems that they may have. It provides services for students who
my have emotional needs, physical challenges, as well as provide classes for parents.
Conflict theorists view education as a divider, rather than an equalizer. Conflict theorists focus on
social and economic inequalities inherent in our educational system. They also focus on how the
system perpetuates these inequalities. Depending on their social backgrounds,

Tenochtitlan Essay
Commerce: In the days of Tenochtitlan s true glory and magnificence, food was very hard to come by
because the land on which the city was built was not the most ideal place to harvest crops. Because of
this fact, the inhabitants of Tenochtitlan were forced to look to foreign trade to keep their food

The Progressive Thinker Of My Family
Coming from a very conservative background I prefer to think of myself as the progressive thinker of
my family. I grew up going to church every Sunday, attended Christian youth camp during the
summer, and later decided to volunteer in the children s ministry when I got older. I still value and
implement the significant principles I have been taught: including love, compassion, and empathy. But
as I ve grown into adulthood and formed opinions and views of my own, the one thing I feel that was
never stressed enough in church was to accept everyone as they are. After all, shouldn t love,
compassion and empathy encompass acceptance?
My parents are of different races, my mother being white and my father being black. In a sizeable and
more culturally diverse city I probably would not have been perceived as much different from other
children. However, in the small town of St. Marys, Ohio where I grew up, my younger brother and I
were the only kids in our school with kinky hair and a darker complexion.
Out of the countless times people have pointed out that I looked different, from prior boyfriends
family members whispering in front of me that their son was dating a black girl , to the swastikas
drawn on my locker in high school, I still can clearly remember the very first time I got called the N
word. I was just a young little girl in elementary school and didn t even know what it meant. I went

The way our society views other people by their appearance will probably never change. In some
ways, everyone has it set in their mind what makes a person perfect . These characteristics may
include personal appearance, wealth and intelligence. One does not always take the time to get to
know a person, but make assumptions about people. Two poems, which show different views, include
Richard Cory by Edwin Arlington Robinson and Barbie Doll by Marge Piercy. In the Barbie doll, the
author writes about a girl s life. The author starts off by describing her childhood. She was given dolls
and toys like any other girl and she also put on some lipstick. This girl ... Show more content on

these poems follow each other in society that exists even today. As a society, we select who we look
up to and who we view as everything. It is from these celebrities that society learns what is beautiful
and girls like in Barbie Doll don t fit in. Everyone saw a fat nose on thick legs, In the end, neither of
these characters win. They both have their own pressures, brought on by the society they live in. These
problems still pervade in our society today. These two poems show that across the board, anyone can
feel pressured into committing suicide. It doesn t matter of the age, gender, or how much money we
have everyone can be screwed up. This often is the pressures and expectations of society to be perfect
like in Barbie Doll, or the man who everyone wants to be. The American dream is to be rich and
famous, to have everyone want to be you. The nightmare of the situation is that you still won t be
happy once you reach this goal. In the same way trying to change something about yourself like the
way you look it will lead you to never be happy as you are. There will always be something to change.
These poems express that the higher you are placed on a scale

The Importance Of Outside And Non Associating Scientists...
1. The hiring of outside and non associating scientists with recognition in a particular field to perform
the research to assure the safety of a specific product or processes. These services can be hired to
generate controversy about a competing product and debate with scientists and regulatory bodies on
the side effects of dangers of a product. For e.g. pharmaceutical and chemical companies used this
tactic for drugs and household chemicals marketing.
2. The selection and formation of so called front groups of third party scientists/ experts to support the
scientific position of claims made by the scientists of particular companies. The example of scientific
advisory boards or SABs is normally used to defend the companies in court cases and in general
public claims.
3. The creation and utilization of industry groups or associations, including the associations and
organization for an industry, think tanks, and public opinion organizations assist the companies in
proving the claims of companies to be legitimate.
4. The use of media and PR agencies to create and change opinions of general public. For instance, the
development of VNRs or video news releases is relatively a new technique of PR firms used to relay
videos of company claims about products and / or services in easily downloadable formats like videos
shared on YouTube. These videos are available on common media as well in form of paid segments
and public associated the content with the news releases

Reflection Paper On My Writing Process
Reflective Memo
Description of my Writing Process
In my writing process, pre writing was my initial step where I had to find the narrative to write. I had
numerous stories in my mind, but I had to get the best, which draws inspiration to me, and the one that
could teach valuable lessons to my audience. So, I had to refer from that childhood memory regarding
the most significant narrative. However, I had to build up on the story. Therefore, I had to use the
myth worksheet issued at class, to make sure that my story meets all the course requirements.
Apparently, I had to make some changes (revise) the narrative, to deliver the most intended life lesson
to my audience. That is when I decided to plan and structure on what to write down in particular.
The actual writing was my second step, where I had to start writing my draft. However, I had several
challenges at this phase, such as word count, grammar issues, among others. Apparently, I had to write
several rough copies of my narrative. Again, I had to get the best time and location to eliminate any
potential distractions. In fact, at this stage, I had no confidence with my narrative on whether it will
convey a relevant meaning to my audience.
But now the writing process was advancing well, and I started revising my paper. When revising my
narrative, I had to adapt A.R.R.R.R approach where, I had to add some words, rearrange my
paragraphs and sentences to consider flow, pacing, and sequencing of my story. Again, I had to
remove the irrelevant parts, considering whether the reader will acquire the required message. Finally,
replacing them with the relevant words and phrases.
My final step was editing and proofreading. At this phase, I had to check for clarity, grammar,
repetition, punctuation, and spelling. Editing and proofreading were detailed processes since they were
the last step in my writing process. At this moment, I had gained confidence in my paper, since I had
read it several times, affirming that it made some sense. Furthermore, I gave it to my friend who is a
professional to proofread, and he assured me that the paper was sensible.
Revising the Narrative
Apparently, I had to review my story to convey the message swiftly. In the initial story,

Similarities Between Gilgamesh And Oedipus
Heroes are extraordinary characters who carry human qualities that reassure followers of the heroes
limitations. A hero is commonly considered a god, a being with great power that is brave enough to
save whole cities. The human qualities are always their greatest fault, it comes in the image of pride,
ego, selfishness, and even denial. These flaws are represented by the heroes Gilgamesh and Oedipus.
Gilgamesh and Oedipus undertake journeys in search of a truth that will preserve their glory. While
Gilgamesh searches for immortality, Oedipus searches for a different fate, both, fearing death.
However, only one reaches their their goal. Similarly, both figures are kings; rulers of communities
which reflect their ruling. In Gilgamesh s epic, the people knew of his endeavors and had to live with
his sporadic acts because he was their ruler and accepted him as so. As declared, Day and night his
behavior became overbearing. He was their shepherd, yet powerful, superb, knowledgeable and
expert, Gilgamesh would not leave young girls alone, (199), and it is a positive reflection of his ruling
due to the community accepting his antics through their approval of his leadership. On the other hand,
Oedipus ruling was a negative concept on the fate of the people. The people see his flaws and have
their doubts of his rule once they realize he is the root of their suffering, yet do not fully accept the
reality of the situation. This god of plague guts our city and fills the black world

The Health Of American Politics Essay
The Health of American Politics/Democracy In this paper, I am going to write about two topics which
they are the American politics and the American democracy. I am going to discuss one issue regarding
each topic. In the topic of American politics, I will describe the negative impact of the Israeli lobby on
the American Politic. After that, I will describe the negative impact of the electoral college system on
the American democracy. The Israeli lobby and the electoral college system are affecting the health of
American politics and democracy negatively. In the past few decades till now, the United States
foreign policies were an important factor to deal with many issues around the globe. Starting from the
Security Council ending with the country policy, the United States has made many decisions that took
negative effect on the country s security and its relations with other countries. The reason behind these
negative effect is the United States foreign policies especially toward the Middle East. These policies
are greatly affected by the Israeli lobby in the United States. As John J. Mearsheimer, a professor of

The arias Al desio di chi t adora from Mozart s revised le Nozze di Figaro sung by the character
Susanna, and Come scoglio from Mozart s cosi fan tutte sung by the character Fiordiligi were both
sung by Adriana Ferrarese Del Bene at their premieres. Mozart wanted all arias he wrote for singers to
fit them like a well made garment (?) so wrote them to fit their vocal abilities and strengths. In this
essay I will be looking at the vocal abilities of Adriana and how Mozart used them in these arias to
identify similar characteristics between the two arias, proving what her strengths were by being
highlighted in more than one aria. First I will discuss Adriana s background, where she came from and
what her musical career was like before Mozart wrote these arias for her. Next we will look at Mozart
s involvement with her and what his opinion of her was. Next I will look at each aria individually and
identify characteristics that are similar in each aria to show that these certain features were written to
show off specifically Adriana s strengths as a singer. And last I will compare the two arias to show that
there are similarities in the two which highlight Adriana s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Cosmopolit Not The Drink
Cosmopolitan... Not the Drink! The word cosmopolitanism, derived from Greek, means that humans
are part of a global civilization. Cosmos signifies the earth, and polis means city or state. The
Enlightenment philosophers Emmanuel Kant and Baron de Montesquieu interpreted the idea slightly
differently but fundamentally agreed that it entails the communication and exchange of varied
cultures, especially through commerce. Cosmopolitism is not to be confused with legal pluralism,
discussed by Lauren Benton and Lisa Ford, which is the continuation of numerous, somewhat
independent legal structures inside one region existing simultaneously. Though they seem similar at
first glance, legal pluralism has been proven to be a failure, while ... Show more content on

These two drastically different societal groups are still accountable to the same rules. Anthony Anghie,
a professor at the University of Utah, wrote in his book, Imperialism, Sovereignty and the Making of
International Law, the universal system of divine law administered by the Pope is replaced by the
universal natural law system of jus gentium whose rules may be ascertained by the use of reason
(Anghie, 325). Reason is a human characteristic, so everyone, from natives of South America to
religious Spanish Catholics can understand the universal laws. Because all people use their reason to
determine universal laws, all cultures share certain values. Grotius, a believer in universal law, argued
that God, wished human friendships to be engendered by mutual needs and resources (Grotius, 1). The
needs of humanity cannot be met in just one geographical location, so global trading is required. The
interaction of these different cultures, by means of commerce, results in the creation of the
cosmopolitan. One society may be able to harvest a certain product better than another, so mutual
respect and principles for all of humanity are required. Without it, humanity will not have access to all
of the creations of the world, and economic activity and trade would be substantially diminished. Kant

through commerce. Commerce globalizes and interconnects

How To Write A Persuasive Essay On Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar being the better of the two. Kendrick has a style of rapping like no other it from

punishments for seven minutes on his track FEAR. on the album DAMN. he has catchy lyrics, and he
has some of modern rap s most classic and best albums ( Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City and To pimp a

experience they make good songs that get played out in a couple of weeks, but you can always catch
someone bumping to some Kendrick. Offset, one member of the Migos group did make a big

Slaves in Virginia and South Carolina seem to have found the most sense of community. Throughout
the history of the colonies, Virginia and South Carolina have had many slave revolts. This is because
these two colonies had the largest plantations, which means that they had the largest amount of slaves
all in one area at a time. This gave them strength in numbers. It was common for slaves to form
substitute families with each other because many families were separated. This separation from their
families also drew them closer together. This established a sense of trust and a strong bond among the
slaves, allowing them to rally together and launch rebellions and revolts like the Stono Rebellion. This
shows that they trusted and believed in each other because why would you start a revolt that you knew

An Analysis Of Bach s The On The Spirits Of Music Lovers
The title Clavierubung means keyboard study or exercise, a term that probably referred both to the
keyboard skill of the performer and the inventive powers of the composer. Bach s full title added that
the music was to refresh the spirits of music lovers, omitting the pedagogic implications of the candid
instruction that headed the title of the inventions and sinfonias. The Clavierubung consists of four
major parts: 1. The six partitas, published in 1731. 2. An overture and concerto (1735). 3. Four duets
and organ chorales (1739). 4. Goldberg variations (1742). This essay focuses on the first part the
partitas. The meaning of the term partita is complex. Partita is the Italian form of the word and it
developed as a variation technique. In Germany it was used to refer to a collection of contrasting
dances played one after another on festive occasions. It was this usage that was adopted by Froberger
and other German composers of the 17th century when they applied it to the collections of dance
movements for the keyboard. It seems that Bach was aware of the many implications of the term
partita. It is possible that the suites which he assigned this name were so designated because they more
nearly fulfilled the varied implications of the name that did his other suites. In the keyboard partitas
Bach adhered to the old practice of maintaining the identity of key throughout an entire piece. The
variety of forms in the partitas is immediately apparent. Each one of them opens

The Impact Of Environmental Performance On The Consumption...
Companies face a multitude of challenges when it comes to Supply Chain management ranging from
profitability and cost management to visibility and customer satisfaction. With the increased
awareness of environmental practices, there is an expectation that businesses should evolve to be more
environmentally conscious. As stated from a 1987 Brundtland Report known as Our Common Future ,
(WCED, 1987) sustainable development is one that meets the needs of the present without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The influence of
environmental performance is a growing decision criteria for customers in the consumption of
products/services. This is evident from a survey conducted by the Natural Marketing Institute (Kaiser,
2008) which reveals that 30 percent of American consumers are willing to pay 20 percent more for
products made in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way.
A growing number of companies are working towards incorporating environmental and socially
responsible business practices to their value chains, from suppliers to customers. By doing so, the not
only tackle the many risks, social and environmental, and challenges inherent in supply chain
management, but also reap the many benefits that supply chain sustainability can offer.

Life of Workers in Staithes Essay
Close by the giant textile mill row on row on row of drab terrace houses huddle together as if to fend
off the bitter cold of a winter night in December of 1811. Night obscures the narrow streets of the
industrial village of Holmeside as morning s hesitant light pokes through the canopy of dismal clouds.
Inside the mill, workers have been toiling for hours. They rose from their beds early and put on their
work clothing. The lucky ones ate a crust of bread and drank the remains of yesterday s milk before
stepping out into the chilly darkness to make their way to the mill. They carried the smallest children.

All that is human is troubled by their failure to benefit except by Death s summons. The portal of the
grave is their only means of escape.
Some said the disadvantages of the poor were their own making. Many believed that the working poor
were not fully human, but a bestial and inferior species, unlike themselves, specifically supplied by
Providence as servants through whose labour they ran profitable enterprises. The poor were seen as a
raw material in the same class as wool and cotton. They were cheap to employ and easy to replace.
Those that looked down on workers failed to see that working conditions in textile mills were why
workers were afflicted with conditions for which no treatment existed.
These early morning people move in procession through the streets, uniting with others at street
junctions to form broader streams, merging with other streams as they neared the mill to form a grand
current of humanity closing on the massive iron gates of the mill that were symbols of imprisonment.
Once inside the gates, workers fanned out to go to various work stations to work as machine minders
in the manufactory. This was the common condition of men, women, and children in the hard textile
country of Yorkshire s West Riding. The characters of Yorkshire folk were forged in the crucibles of
harsh terrain and exacting industrial environments.

The Short Stories of Gabriel Garcia Marquez Essay
The Short Stories of Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Short story writer. Novelist. Journalist. Political activist. Nobel Prize winner. Most beloved of 20th
century Latin American authors, Gabriel Garcia Marquez was born on March 6, 1928, in the small
coastal town of Aracataca, Colombia. He published his first story, The Third Resignation, in 1947 and
began studying law and journalism. His first novel, Leafstorm, was published in 1955, the same year
the Colombian government shut down his employer, the newspaper El Espectador. In 1958, after 14

However, they incorporate a variety of compelling themes, focusing primarily on death and the
fantastic, insomnia and unreality, the absurd and the irrational, and are told often from skillfully
interwoven, scrambled points of view. In these stories, Garcia Marquez is attempting to capture the
world as presented in Kafka s Metamorphosis. He is striving to not only portray the world as it is, but
to invent another dreamlike reality, and in the process demonstrate that the reality and the dream are
one and the same. These bizarre and occasionally disturbing excursions into surreal states of
consciousness are poignantly Kafkaesque.
For example, the story The Third Resignation, contains a vivid reenactment of Gregor Samsa s bug
like condition. In this story, instead of waking up as a dung beetle, the main character is trapped in a
frightening existence of living death. He has been living in a coffin for 18 years, since he turned
seven, when his mother was told by the doctor, Madam, your child has a grave illness: he is dead.
Nevertheless...we shall do everything possible to keep him alive beyond death (5). Though he is dead,
the main character continues to grow in size and also grows a beard, indicating that he is medically not
dead, but, like Gregor Samsa, is completely paralyzed. He spends his entire life trying to figure out
whether or not he is alive: A few moments before he had been happy with his death because he had
thought he was dead. Because a dead man

Descriptive Essay About Roller Coaster
A Rollercoaster Ride
I was standing in line with my sister and cousin waiting to get on the Viper . We were at Six Flags
having already been in the long line an hour and a half. We all went on our favorite rides, then we
decided to go on the roller coaster. This was going to be my very first ever roller coaster in my life.
Then the rollercoaster conductor told us to get in the coaster. I jumped in, put my seatbelt on and
listened to the safety precautions. Then the conductor pressed the button and we were off.
My sister, Anna, said in a soft voice, so she would not wake up my brother Drew, Wake up. Wake up
Andrew. We need to pick up Melissa.
I was still drowsing, but I was awake. I got my clothes on, and then went to get my phone and ... Show

Anna told me after one of the rides, Hey, we should ride a roller coaster.
I do not want to ride one though. They look big and scary. I responded
Just trust me. It will be fun. My sister said.
So we all decided to go on the Viper and we went to the area where it was located and we hopped in
line. It said on the board a 1 and a half hour wait, so luckily I still had battery on my phone. Time
passed and we got onto the roller coaster. I got in the very front of the coaster and put my seatbelt on. I
was as nervous as I would ever be in my life. I was sweating because of how nervous I was. The voice
told us about the precautions of the roller coaster that I had already heard a million times before
standing in line.
Then the roller coaster jerked forward and we were off. We went up slowly and I was ready for a big
drop. I closed my eyes and then the roller coaster suddenly went down. I had this weird feeling inside
of my gut. It was extremely fast and really high up. It took multiple turns and drops and I closed my
eyes for all of the drops. Then the roller coaster suddenly went slower and we were at the start of the
ride. I got off and met with my sister and cousin.
See it was not that bad. My sister told me.
Nope, I am never riding a roller coaster ever again in my life. I responded back.
We rode some more rides after the coaster and then we had to meet up with

Miami Descriptive Writing
Running up and down the wooden stairs back forth. I was excited to go to Miami this summer.
Throwing in my favorite rip shorts, blue tank and black sneakers. I smell bake bacon from the kitchen.
I knew my mama was cooking breakfast before I leave for my trip. I had to put something in my belly
before I took off. Miami is the most southerly city in the continental United State. Miami is a
memorable trip to me because of the beautiful South Beach, the different restaurants and the
Everglades. Chirp, chirp, chirp as I hear and see the lovely black birds past me. While I m running on
the beach, I could see the sun cast its golden rays down upon the cloud turning them bright red, fired
red. Its 6:30am in beautiful Miami. I hear the splashing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Everywhere I look I could see a massive wait at the door. Lucky for me, I made a reservation. I went
to this restaurant called 43 Sea . The young male host sat me at a comfortable red booth. My server
greeted me right away with her pearly white teeth. All I wanted was a cold water with lemon. While I
waited for the waitress to come back, I could smell something fishy. Yes, of course, someone order
fish. Gross! The restaurant was really coward and full of people with smiles on their faces. Waa, Waa,
Wawa! I could hear the baby crying out for its mother. I order the Grilled to perfection; 1 l/b grilled
lobster, asparagus, crispy fingerling potatoes. My food came out smelling fresh. My food tasted
delicious. I ate everything off my plate. But I had to order dessert. There are so many delicious
desserts that I wanted to try. I choose the cheesecake that is made with cream cheese and cottage
cheese. Its smooth and creamy, just sweet enough, with a hint of tartness. The taste just blew my heart
away. On the 5th page there s 26 dessert listed. I was so full. I couldn t eat anymore. Picture this

Milk, Check-Personal Narrative Analysis
Toilet paper, Check. Milk, Check. Once again I ve caught myself ticking off a shopping list, it seems
like only yesterday I did the same thing. I was caught in the weekly drag, doomed to repeat the same
day over and over again, my own figurative Ground Hog Day.
Though, outside of my life, this day, or last couple of weeks however, has been far from normal; just
10 minutes down the road, the shopping center of Tiananmen Square staged a thousand body strong
protest for a democratic China. I myself joined in the protests for a day. Oh how great I thought it
would be, screaming until I could scream no longer, fighting for and alongside my people. But to be
honest, it was pretty damn boring, mostly just sitting on concrete and repetitive chants; ... Show more

The insanely loud firecrackers that I heard previously weren t something so innocent, but it was the
sound of automatic gunfire. These tanks, claiming to be part of the Chinese People s Liberation Army,
were heading to massacre their own people that they were sworn to protect. This war for democracy, is
now a literal, war for democracy; although I must say, calling it a war is unfair, because for it to be
war, both sides need to have a chance. 15 meters away now, and I still have no idea what to do, except
stay and let my anger boil my blood. Forget about bringing a gun to a knife fight, the government, that
I thought wanted the best for it s people, is bringing tanks to fight against rocks. But if this was a war,
then that meant that I was the frontline, that I was the last chance for the people of China. Perhaps this
was a sign from god, he heard my whining about having a boring and repetitive life, and sent me this
dilemma. I have two choices, to run away and to let more be massacred, or to stay, to somehow not let
this monstrous tank pass. 5 meters away, and approaching like a lion stalking a doomed gazelle. I LL
BE DAMNED if I let them murder their own people! So here I am, making a

ANOVA of the metal bioremoval revealed that the main (individual) effect due to the metals were
highly significant (P value 0.05) on each other removal. Student t test results revealed that both Zn(II)
and Pb(II) strongly inhibited Cu(II) removal (P value 0.01). Both these metals (Zn(II) and Pb(II)
similarly showed significant negative effect on Cd(II) removal (P value 0.02). However, in case of
Zn(II) removal, whereas Cu(II) slightly inhibited its removal (P value = 0.053), Pb(II) showed a highly
significant negative effect (P value 0.001). Besides, Zn(II) inhibited its own removal in the mixture.
The latter observation was true for Pb(II) as well with a P value of 0.001. All these results not only
demonstrated a very good potential of the cyanobacteria in bioremoval of these metals but also the
effect of individual metals on each other removal in mixture.
Keywords: Cyanobacteria, Nostoc muscorum, multicomponent system, heavy metals, bioremoval,
Plackett Burman design.

Land Rover Research Paper
Soon after the SUV craze took hold in the early 1990s, the GMC Typhoon emerged, a performance
model like none other. Based on the GMC Jimmy, a turbocharged 4.3 liter V 6 engine enabled it to
move from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds, comparable to what sports cars attained during that era.
Though the Typhoon s two year run was certainly a short lived one, it placed in the mind of
automotive executives the world over that SUVs and performance were no longer mutually exclusive.
Fast forward to today and nearly every automotive brand is selling SUVs and offering performance
variants. Land Rover, itself an SUV brand, has long had the off road credentials that others can only
aspire to. They also have performance models, including the Range Rover ... Show more content on

  • 2. Value Of Belongingness Theory Roy Baumeister and Mark Leary s article attends to develop and evaluate the hypothesis that a need to belong is fundamental human motivation. This distinct section examined and focused on the applicability of the need to belong. More precisely, the authors state the hypothesis that human beings have a certain drive to form and keep at least a minimum amount of positive and significant interpersonal relationships. The object of the authors is to increase the scholarship around sense of belonging and advance in the field of psychology and outside of it. It is provided in the beginning of the article what are the dimensions of this topic and in what context it fits in. At the interdisciplinary level, the belongingness hypothesis might help psychology in many different ways; one of them is to recompose itself from the challenge placed by cultural materialism. Thus, the belonging hypothesis has considerable value for personality and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The article also attends to respond how people get motivated from interpersonal bonds. Thus, despite of the frequent, speculative assertions that people need to belong, the belongingness hypothesis needs to be critically evaluated. There is an immense necessity for empirical evidence. One of the goals for this article is to convoke a large body of empirical evidence. Baumeister and Leary are seeking to examine the vast amount of untested information about need to belong (p.497). In addition, the authors mention that the hypothesis implies that people should struggle to achieve a certain minimum amount and quality of social contacts but that once this level is surpassed, the motivation should diminish. The need is not to all kind of bonds, it has its limitations. Both the Western and the Eastern halves considered themselves Roman s even though Eastern Rome was greatly influenced by Greek Culture. Whether it be with blood relatives or complete strangers, a relationship would develop within one another. A kinship is broadly identified as a term describing any kind of relations or connection with others. In ethnographies such as The Righteous Dopefiend and Raw Life, New Hope, the characters have mostly been identified as impoverished living in a completely different world. The refugees seeked a better home to live in since most women were forced to be prostitutes. Although they hoped their lives would be better in South Korea, they were completely wrong. After arriving in South Korea, they noticed that the only way to survive was to have some kind of kinship or network in such a capitalist and advanced society. An outsider status was anyone who didn t fit the social networks and social capital required for negotiating the competitive environment (Markus Bell, 245). Though there are strict regulations on creating any kind of relationships such as marriage, employment, and socializing. This is only if one does not integrate oneself accordingly since the North Korean aspect is different. According to many anthropologists, the link to Korean kinship is well connected to even South Africa s and the Chinese. The Korean kinship is known to be based on local lineage or close relationships even ones that are not biological. There is another kind of relationship where it is not necessarily intimate, but still considered as some kind of kinship: pseudo kinship. In a pseudo kinship, the relationship is a lasting emotional significance (Bell, 246). These are in enhanced especially in areas where the environment is extremely hostile and and radical. Simply put, ethnocentrism is defined as judging other groups from the perspective of one s own cultural point of view. Cultural relativism, on the other hand, is defined as the view that all beliefs are equally valid and that truth itself is relative, depending on the situation, environment, and individual. Citizens of other nations have long made it clear that they believe Americans are nothing but greedy, power hungry people. Cultural relativism means the exact opposite of ethnocentrism. It can be summed up as believing that all religious, ethical, aesthetic, and political beliefs are completely relative to the individual within a cultural identity (www.cultural relativism.com). This means that there is no definite right or wrong , but rather an ever changing set of values for each separate culture. I have not personally witnessed cultural relativism, however I do know that it very well exists. An example of this idea is in something such as equality in the workplace for both men and women. A person following the cultural relativist perspective would say that it is wrong to deny women that equality in the workplace in America today. The cultural relativist would also say, however, that there is a culture where it is acceptable to limit certain areas of freedom from women. • 8. The Blind Side Movie Analysis Essay Fatlinda Osmani The Blind Side The Blind Side was a true movie about a homeless boy that had a rough life until the Tuohy family took him in. As a child, he never had the chances that he did when living with the Tuohy family. They then adopted the boy and became his legal guardian. After that everything got better for Michael. I would recommend this to a friend because of all the different important problems in this movie. Race plays a big part in this movie. Michael is an African American boy, while his new family is white. Not only are their races different but their social class is different. Michael was raised in the hood, while the Tuohy family was raised in a nice neighborhood. Examples of these in the movie were when in the beginning Michael s friend s father drives them through an affluent neighborhood to high school. He looks around like he has never seen anything like it before. When he does get to school, he is not welcomed nicely from his white classmates. Another example was when his adoptive mother goes to look for him when he runs away. She goes to check in Hurt Village, which was where his biological mother used to live. Her encounter with Alton, which was an African American, was a big cultural difference. She tells him not to step on the other side of town, which shows how separated they are. Listening was a big thing in this film. There were plenty of scenes about listening. The one that stands out the most was when Michaels adoptive mom sits down ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is where new cells begin to divide, first forming brain cells. These brain cell originate from stem cells, which can be specialized into nearly any cell in the human body. Myelination is the stage of neuronal development that is initiated postnatally. After the baby is born the newly specialized glia cells begin constructing the fatty sheath around the axon, need for the speed and effectiveness of the neural transmission between all the neurons in the brain. Oligodendrocytes are responsible for the myelin produced in the central nervous system. It commences first around the spinal, ascending from the hindbrain structures to the forebrain. This process continues gradually for decades, until the brain is fully developed. Synaptogenesis is the final stage of neural development. • 19. Powerful Enlightened Depots Enlightened despotism is defined as a form of government in the 18th century in which absolute monarchs pursued legal, social, and educational reforms inspired by the Enlightenment (The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica). The magnitude of the philosophy movement known as the Enlightenment sent ripples throughout Western society. The philosophers believed that in order to improve society they had to enlighten the monarchs. The views of the Enlightenment did to find their way inside the palaces of Europe s leaders; however, the monarchs retained their great power of absolute rule. Among these enlightened despots of the age were Frederick the Great of Prussia, Catherine the Great of Russia, and Joseph II of Austria. These leaders all attempted to bring their respective countries into a new age. The basis of enlightened despotism was the idea of improving the lives of a country s citizens. This concept of leadership during this time was ultimately a good idea, but it was not successfully exercised to its fullest extent. From a young age, Frederick the Great took a great liking to culture and literature. He was especially infatuated with the language and lifestyle of the French. Although steps have been taken to afford individuals the opportunity to obtain an education, there still lies an inequality and therefore, a social problem is created. Using the sociological perspectives of functionalist, conflict, feminist, and interactionist, we can see how each perspective views how this inequality becomes prevalent and how social, as well as economic inequalities of society are inherited through education. Functionalist define a social problem by looking for the functions and dysfunctions of a given topic. The main function of the social institution of education is to educate. Functionalists argue that education struggles to complete it s intended task of education the youth due to the additional tasks that the institution has been assigned. Tenochtitlan Essay Commerce: In the days of Tenochtitlan s true glory and magnificence, food was very hard to come by because the land on which the city was built was not the most ideal place to harvest crops. Because of this fact, the inhabitants of Tenochtitlan were forced to look to foreign trade to keep their food supplies from running out. The markets in Tenochtitlan were said to be trading daily with surrounding areas, as well as the Spanish, who, upon seeing the wonders that Tenochtitlan and its residents had to offer, traded much with them. The goods that were being developed in Tenochtitlan were ones that the Spaniards, and other cultures too for that matter, had never seen before. In the times of Tenochtitlan s actual greatness and heavenliness, nourishment was difficult to find in light of the fact that the arrive on which the city was fabricated was not the best place to reap crops. I grew up going to church every Sunday, attended Christian youth camp during the summer, and later decided to volunteer in the children s ministry when I got older. I still value and implement the significant principles I have been taught: including love, compassion, and empathy. But as I ve grown into adulthood and formed opinions and views of my own, the one thing I feel that was never stressed enough in church was to accept everyone as they are. After all, shouldn t love, compassion and empathy encompass acceptance? My parents are of different races, my mother being white and my father being black. In a sizeable and more culturally diverse city I probably would not have been perceived as much different from other children. However, in the small town of St. Marys, Ohio where I grew up, my younger brother and I were the only kids in our school with kinky hair and a darker complexion. Out of the countless times people have pointed out that I looked different, from prior boyfriends family members whispering in front of me that their son was dating a black girl , to the swastikas drawn on my locker in high school, I still can clearly remember the very first time I got called the N word. • 25. Reflection Paper On My Writing Process Reflective Memo Description of my Writing Process In my writing process, pre writing was my initial step where I had to find the narrative to write. I had numerous stories in my mind, but I had to get the best, which draws inspiration to me, and the one that could teach valuable lessons to my audience. So, I had to refer from that childhood memory regarding the most significant narrative. However, I had to build up on the story. Therefore, I had to use the myth worksheet issued at class, to make sure that my story meets all the course requirements. Apparently, I had to make some changes (revise) the narrative, to deliver the most intended life lesson to my audience. That is when I decided to plan and structure on what to write down in particular. The actual writing was my second step, where I had to start writing my draft. However, I had several challenges at this phase, such as word count, grammar issues, among others. Apparently, I had to write several rough copies of my narrative. Again, I had to get the best time and location to eliminate any potential distractions. In fact, at this stage, I had no confidence with my narrative on whether it will convey a relevant meaning to my audience. But now the writing process was advancing well, and I started revising my paper. When revising my narrative, I had to adapt A.R.R.R.R approach where, I had to add some words, rearrange my paragraphs and sentences to consider flow, pacing, and sequencing of my story. Again, I had to remove the irrelevant parts, considering whether the reader will acquire the required message. Finally, replacing them with the relevant words and phrases. My final step was editing and proofreading. At this phase, I had to check for clarity, grammar, repetition, punctuation, and spelling. Editing and proofreading were detailed processes since they were the last step in my writing process. At this moment, I had gained confidence in my paper, since I had read it several times, affirming that it made some sense. Furthermore, I gave it to my friend who is a professional to proofread, and he assured me that the paper was sensible. Revising the Narrative Apparently, I had to review my story to convey the message swiftly. In the initial story, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An Analysis Of Bach s The On The Spirits Of Music Lovers The title Clavierubung means keyboard study or exercise, a term that probably referred both to the keyboard skill of the performer and the inventive powers of the composer. Bach s full title added that the music was to refresh the spirits of music lovers, omitting the pedagogic implications of the candid instruction that headed the title of the inventions and sinfonias. The Clavierubung consists of four major parts: 1. The six partitas, published in 1731. 2. An overture and concerto (1735). 3. Four duets and organ chorales (1739). 4. Goldberg variations (1742). This essay focuses on the first part the partitas. The meaning of the term partita is complex. Partita is the Italian form of the word and it developed as a variation technique. In Germany it was used to refer to a collection of contrasting dances played one after another on festive occasions. It was this usage that was adopted by Froberger and other German composers of the 17th century when they applied it to the collections of dance movements for the keyboard. It seems that Bach was aware of the many implications of the term partita. It is possible that the suites which he assigned this name were so designated because they more nearly fulfilled the varied implications of the name that did his other suites. In the keyboard partitas Bach adhered to the old practice of maintaining the identity of key throughout an entire piece. The variety of forms in the partitas is immediately apparent. He is striving to not only portray the world as it is, but to invent another dreamlike reality, and in the process demonstrate that the reality and the dream are one and the same. PBS Desperate Crossings: the Untold Story of the Mayflower After watching the movie, I have a better understanding of Martin Luther s sermons, English Reformation, as well as the Puritans and Separatists. Puritans simply want to change their lives and make it better; whereas, Separatists say they should not have a church in England; one that connects with the civil power. Back in the time of Martin Luther, he believed that God had power while humans had none which indicated that the old church people were lying when they said that they can help people get to heaven. In 1534, King Henry VIII had followed Martin s doctrines. He placed himself at the head of the church and replaced the Catholic pope in Rome. This made the English Protestants ... We were at Six Flags having already been in the long line an hour and a half. We all went on our favorite rides, then we decided to go on the roller coaster. This was going to be my very first ever roller coaster in my life. Then the rollercoaster conductor told us to get in the coaster. I jumped in, put my seatbelt on and listened to the safety precautions. Then the conductor pressed the button and we were off. Time passed and we got onto the roller coaster. I got in the very front of the coaster and put my seatbelt on. I was as nervous as I would ever be in my life. I was sweating because of how nervous I was. The voice told us about the precautions of the roller coaster that I had already heard a million times before standing in line. Then the roller coaster jerked forward and we were off. We went up slowly and I was ready for a big drop. I closed my eyes and then the roller coaster suddenly went down. I had this weird feeling inside of my gut. It was extremely fast and really high up. It took multiple turns and drops and I closed my eyes for all of the drops. Then the roller coaster suddenly went slower and we were at the start of the ride. I got off and met with my sister and cousin. See it was not that bad. My sister told me. Nope, I am never riding a roller coaster ever again in my life. I responded back. We rode some more rides after the coaster and then we had to meet up with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I smell bake bacon from the kitchen. I knew my mama was cooking breakfast before I leave for my trip. I had to put something in my belly before I took off. Miami is the most southerly city in the continental United State. Miami is a memorable trip to me because of the beautiful South Beach, the different restaurants and the Everglades. Chirp, chirp, chirp as I hear and see the lovely black birds past me. While I m running on the beach, I could see the sun cast its golden rays down upon the cloud turning them bright red, fired red. I was caught in the weekly drag, doomed to repeat the same day over and over again, my own figurative Ground Hog Day. Though, outside of my life, this day, or last couple of weeks however, has been far from normal; just 10 minutes down the road, the shopping center of Tiananmen Square staged a thousand body strong protest for a democratic China. These tanks, claiming to be part of the Chinese People s Liberation Army, were heading to massacre their own people that they were sworn to protect. This war for democracy, is now a literal, war for democracy; although I must say, calling it a war is unfair, because for it to be war, both sides need to have a chance. 15 meters away now, and I still have no idea what to do, except stay and let my anger boil my blood. Forget about bringing a gun to a knife fight, the government, that I thought wanted the best for it s people, is bringing tanks to fight against rocks. But if this was a war, then that meant that I was the frontline, that I was the last chance for the people of China. Perhaps this was a sign from god, he heard my whining about having a boring and repetitive life, and sent me this dilemma. I have two choices, to run away and to let more be massacred, or to stay, to somehow not let this monstrous tank pass. 5 meters away, and approaching like a lion stalking a doomed gazelle. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... ANOVA of the metal bioremoval revealed that the main (individual) effect due to the metals were highly significant (P value 0.05) on each other removal. Student t test results revealed that both Zn(II) and Pb(II) strongly inhibited Cu(II) removal (P value 0.01). Both these metals (Zn(II) and Pb(II) similarly showed significant negative effect on Cd(II) removal (P value 0.02). However, in case of Zn(II) removal, whereas Cu(II) slightly inhibited its removal (P value = 0.053), Pb(II) showed a highly significant negative effect (P value 0.001). Besides, Zn(II) inhibited its own removal in the mixture. The latter observation was true for Pb(II) as well with a P value of 0.001. All these results not only demonstrated a very good potential of the cyanobacteria in bioremoval of these metals but also the effect of individual metals on each other removal in mixture. Keywords: Cyanobacteria, Nostoc muscorum, multicomponent system, heavy metals, bioremoval, Plackett Burman design.
