Giving Up Control
Giving up control Q: I ve read that enlightenment can only be found through meditation and living and
practicing with a realised master. Is that correct? A: I read this theory many times when I was seeking
the truth, and I feared that it might eventually stop my progress. But I m proof that you don t have to
know a guru to achieve enlightenment. You don t even have to meditate! All you have to do is
consciously dissect yourself, and your world, without colouring what you see. Then each time you
find the truth of an object or subject, you simply release the false impression and allow the truth of
what you have found to fill its place. Then one by one, truth by truth, the complete picture will reveal
itself until you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

existence, you will still be in the illusory Game of Life. And while your focus is on the illusion the
truth will be impossible to see. Q: I m trying to understand which part of me I m supposed to let go of?
I m not sure where the illusory me ends and the Source begins. A: The part you must let go of, is the
part that thinks, and makes decisions, and gets irritated, and wants, and needs, and puts energy into
things, and feels scared late at night. You have probably seen those teen movies where the child and
the adult swap bodies? The part that you let go of is the part that is transferred into the other person s

Analysis Of Rifkin s A Change Of Heart About Animals
Animal rights has been a topic of controversy for the last decade and the question arises on whether or
not animals have rights. In the quote from Arthur Schopenhauer s The Basis of Morality, the main
argument is that the only way humans can remain moral is if we treat all animals with compassion.
Schopenhauer uses different comparisons in the short quote to improve the impact on the reader as
well as show the way humans view the animals being treated. With that, it is evident that animals do
need basic rights which can potentially be achieved through proper compassion and care. These
animals need to have the ability to freely express their personalities as well as the proper attention and
interactions on a daily basis.
Animals have no potential ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Having proper attention means daily care and interactions with either humans or other animals. When
animals receive proper attention, it is clear that learning is passed on from parent to offspring far more
often than not... (Rifkin, Par. 15). Learning is an important aspect for both humans and animals
showing that when animals rights are restricted due to the inability to have interaction with other
animals, no learning can occur. In the laboratories animals are often neglected and left there for hours
with little to no care or contact with humans or other animals. Animals that are neglected from both
human and other animal interaction are more likely to have increased health problems. In the article A
Change of Heart About Animals, Rifkin explains a study involving the use of pigs and their social
behaviors. Through an experiment, researchers have found that they crave affection and are easily
depressed if isolated or denied playtime with each other (Par. 4). When the animals are sent off to
laboratories these rights are taken away from them leading to lack of interaction which deteriorates
their health. The deterioration of their health is often caused by the lack of the mind stimulation and
due to a lack of physical activity daily. These animals do have not have a say in whether they become
animals in laboratories or not which makes them have no

Immigration Policy And The Immigration Sector
Immigration
PAD 3034
Juan Sarmiento

July 9th, 2015
Abstract
In this paper, I decided to analyze the immigration policy. The immigration policies have had a deep
history. The policies have been twisted, in the long run, to meet the demands of the time. However,
most of the times, the policies have been unfair especially in regard to the immigrants. The overview
contains a rich history of the policy progression and advancements in the immigration sector. In this
paper, I decided to extrapolate on some few contemporary issues that are as a result of the immigration
policies and laws. One of the contentious issues is the Visa policy. This is a system that is widely used
by the US government. Though formulated with a good purpose, the formulation did not cater for
everything that is associated with immigration. For instance, the immigrants who are on transit for
employment are not selected based on the employment demand in the market, hence, they end up
being stranded and thus are forced to accept low paying jobs with poor working conditions. The
solution to this is also discussed in the paper. I have also discussed on the open door policy and its
implications which include overpopulation. Overpopulation on its part has directly affected both the
immigrants and natives with many adverse effects. I was able to do research, and I consequently came
up with a set of alternative methods that could be of help. However, I have also discussed

“the Incompetence of Existing Government Contributed...
The incompetence of the Provisional Government (PG) and the Guomindang (GMD) made a
considerable contribution to the outbreak of revolution in Russia (Oct 1917) and China (1949). Both
the PG and GMD were relatively new forms of government placed in power to resolve longstanding
issues such as low standards of living and significant needs for reform. As a result, Russia had
removed its Tsarist system in February earlier that year and China also expelled its dynastic system to
become a Republic in 1911. However, Economic mismanagement and a nonexistent progression in
reform made control by these governments questionable as their lack of action resurrected a desire for
revolution for a second time. The shortcomings of the PG and GMD were ... Show more content on

Furthermore, other changes sought by Russians promised under the PG were not met such as food and
supply shortages. In China, the situation was quite similar, after gaining power the primary goal of the
government changed to maintaining it and the comfortable and profitable positions that came with it.
(Grasso Corrin) Land reform was also disregarded by the government in China, many new taxes were
introduced such as kettle tax, grain transport tax, roof tax and road maintenance tax (Lynch).
Furthermore, the same struggles for food were seen in China as some resorted to eating the bark from
trees. Chinese peasants were also terrorised under ruthless warlords such as Zhang Zongzhang, whom
took a pathological delight in terrorising the population. (Lynch) This was compounded in China by
the fact that the GMD dissolved workers unions such as the Chinese League for the protection of Civil
Rights and disallowed the formation of workers unions unless they were heavily controlled by the
government, having the effect of creating mounting discontent towards the GMD. Despite these
similarities the GMD went further than the PG by resorting to taking out loans in order to finance their
party rather than industrial and economic growth. For that reason, China remained [even more]
hopelessly backward compared with modern industrial powers. (Grasso Corrin) Together discontent

Classroom Inclusion In The Classroom
For the majority of educational history, students with disabilities are placed in segregated classrooms
in order to protect them. However, recent controversy details the existence of increased negative
impacts on classroom segregation. The importance of classroom inclusion falls under three main
categories: mutual acceptance and equal treatment of students with disabilities in society, increased
personality development in disabled students, and quicker development of crucial skills (Soponaru,
Camelia, et al. 1). Overall, integrated classrooms appear to be effective, but many regular education
teachers lack the qualifications to properly instruct integrated classrooms. Even though some regular
education teachers are qualified to teach integrated classrooms, regular education teachers with
integrated classrooms need to be more thoroughly educated about special needs to ensure an optimal
learning environment for all students.
Regular education teachers with integrated classrooms need to be more thoroughly educated about
special needs to optimize their teaching abilities. Recent advocacy for inclusion classrooms has left
unqualified teachers instructing a range of students; which unfortunately leads to unfavorable learning
environments. According to an interview with Mary Fair, a regular education teacher, it is common for
a regular education teacher to be placed in a classroom without any prior knowledge on properly
instructing children with special needs; the outcome is a

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Selective Breeding
Selective breeding is the process by which humans reproduce other animals and plants of special
features. Typically, strains that are selectively bred are domesticated, and livestock is normally done
by a professional breeder, Livestock animals are known as races, while high plants are known as the
varieties cultigens, or cultivars. The offspring of two purebred animals, but of different races is called
a crossover, and hybrid plants are called hybrids.[1]
There are two approaches or types of artificial selection or selective breeding, The first is the approach
of the breeder in which the traditional breeder or experimenter applies a known quantity of the

Evaluation Of A Teacher Student Relationship
Linda Albert (2012) mentions for students to experience a strong sense of belonging in school, they
must satisfy Cooperative Discipline s Three Cs . The Three Cs are Capable, Connect, and Contribute.
Three factors affect students ability to satisfy the Three Cs in the classroom: the quality of the teacher
student relationship; the strength of the classroom climate for success; and the appropriateness of the
classroom structure (Albert, 2012). The best way to satisfy the Three Cs through the use of
encouragement strategies. If we are positive and encouraging, people do better when they feel better,
and that which people perceive affects the way they feel. For example, if you receive a compliment,
then a positive feeling emerges (Marshall, 2005). The first C is helping students feel Capable. When
students feel good about themselves they have fulfilled the feeling of capable. As teachers, Linda
Albert mentioned different encouragement techniques to help students reach their full potential. Linda
made her techniques into five major strategies: make mistakes okay, build confidence, focus on past
successes, make learning tangible, and recognize achievement. I make sure I implement her strategies
into my classroom. For instance, I show students that I make mistakes all the time and it is okay if
they do to. Also I tell the students if they mistake in the lab, that it s okay, that s why I am here to help
you . To build confidence, I make sure I focus on their improvements

Analysis Of The Book Overthrow By Stephen Kinzer
The United States government engaged in regime change operations throughout the late 19th and 20th
Centuries. The United States government overthrown foreign governments for economic benefits.
Some economic benefits that were gained would be promoting American economic interests and
access to natural resources. For instance securing trade and support for American private investment
abroad was another way United States gained economic benefits. While reading the book Overthrow
by Stephen Kinzer there are examples on how United States overthrow Hawaii, Cuba, Nicaragua, and
Panama. In document 20, Exploring American Histories by Nancy A. Hewitt and Steven F. Lawson
what is discussed is imperial expansion (Hewitt and Lawson 644).
The March of the Flag, 1898 by Albert Beveridge lays out the justifications on why America should
imperialize (Hewitt and Lawson 647 Kinzer 117). Beveridge mentioned that they can expand the US
market as well as give them democracy. He talks about how America has ruled over unfit races, such
as the Indians, many times and imperialism is no different. He also points out that other large nations
will scoop them up if the United States doesn t. His main point however, is the vast amount of
resources in Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines that the United States can accumulate. Some of the
resources found in Cuba would be agricultural.
The benefits the United States gained from Hawaii won secure access to sugar and fruit plantations. A

Cp Child Hypertonicity
It is difficult to diagnose CP before 6 months except in the complicated cases; it can be detected
before the 6 months. (Sankar Mundkur, 2005). Earlier symptoms that appear in CP are delay in motor
progress, abnormal muscle tone and body positions. (Krigger, 2006). CP child shows inability of head
control after the first 3 months, disinclination to sit or roll after 6 months, difficulty to walk after 18
months, and presentation of some of primitive reflexes that normally disappear at certain age. Berker
Yalcin (2010). Muscle tone in the initial period of a CP child displays hypertonicity, then around the 6
to 18 months hypertonicity is increased to be spasticity, or fluctuated between hyper or hypo tonicity.

Berker Yalcin (2010) mention three types of CP are spastic, dyskinetic, ataxic, and mixed CP. The
affected area in Spastic CP is the brain cortex, and it can be identified when the muscle tone resists to
a passive motion. Berker Yalcin (2010), that means hypertonicity. It is known by this signs:
hyperreflexia, clonus, and present of primitive reflexes. Berker Yalcin (2010). The three common
types of Spastic CP are hemiplegia, diplegia, and quadriplegia. Hemiplegia means half of the body is
affected, but when the all body involved it is called quadriplegia. Berker Yalcin (2010). Dyskinetic CP
occurs due to affection of the basal ganglia, and the muscle tone is characterized by both hypo and
hyper tonicity. Berker Yalcin (2010). The signs of this type are dysarthria, dysphagia, and salivation
supplement with the movement problem. Berker Yalcin (2010). Ataxic CP, the affected area is the
cerebellum, and it is defined by losing of equilibrium, synchronization, and regulation of fine
movement. Berker Yalcin (2010). Muscle tone in this type tends to show hypotonic at the first 2 years
of the child, then it becomes normal. Berker Yalcin (2010). After the 2 years ataxic becomes
recognizable by the wide based gait, and dysmetria. Berker Yalcin (2010). The last type is mixed CP
when the lesion in the brain is diffused, and shows some signs of spasticity and dyskinesia.

Economics and Zara
Case Analysis of ZARA: Fast Fashion
Challenges
a. Limitations of Vertical Integration
Vertical integration, a distinctive feature of Zara s business model, has allowed the company to
successfully develop a strong merchandising strategy. This strategy has led Zara to create a climate of
scarcity and opportunity as well as a fast fashion system. However, Zara s strategy creates some
weaknesses. Their vertical integration has more advantages than drawbacks but it is important to
recognize its limitations. Vertical integration often leads to the inability to acquire economies of scale,
which means Zara cannot gain the advantages of producing large quantities of goods for a discounted
rate. Higher costs are then incurred for the Inditex ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The close proximity of the distribution center to the American market will allow Zara to effectively
interpret the particular American fashion.
The increased cost of product variety will increase cost due to possible changeover of production
techniques to create different apparel lines but this cost is warranted since the monetary gain is much
greater than the cost. Central distribution centers, however, will help cut some the cost of quick, high
fashion since it can help streamline some of the processes and techniques used to create different
apparel as they vary from country to country.
Implementations
To expand globally, Zara should focus on one country at a time. Our team concludes that United States
should be Zara s current focus on international expansion. United States is an open trade market with
well formed trade regulations. This provides a safer business environment as compared to Asia
countries. During the globalization process, Zara should maintain short lead time, quick inventory
turnover, leading fashion brand and low advertising cost as its competitive advantage. Regional
distribution center, vertical integration, outsourcing, eye catching window displays are the key
elements for Zara to continue to re invent and innovate themselves to stay fresh in the apparel
industry. Below you may find the implementation details for United States region:

Functions Of A Joint And Articular Cartilage
Osteochondritis Dissecans
Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD), happens when a piece of tissue that covers a joint (articular
cartilage) is separated from the bone. Articular cartilage protects the bones and allows joints to move
smoothly, without pain.
OCD most commonly affects the knee joint, but it can also occur at the ankle, elbow, or other joints
throughout the body. OCD occurs mainly in children and adolescents. Mild cases of OCD tend to heal
over time, especially if a child has this condition. However, severe cases may require surgery to
reattach the articular cartilage to the surrounding bone.
CAUSES
The cause of this condition is not known. Possible causes include:
Injury from repetitive motion or repetitive stress on the joint.
Inadequate blood supply to the joint.
Having certain genes that make developing OCD more likely (genetic predisposition).
RISK FACTORS
The following factors may make you more likely to develop this condition:
Being a child or adolescent. Having bones that are still growing makes OCD more likely to occur.
Participating in sports that put repeated force on the joints, such as distance running.
Being obese.
Having a family history of OCD.
Having posture problems, such as bow legs or knock knees.
SYMPTOMS
In many cases, there are no symptoms of this condition. However, symptoms vary depending on the
severity and location of the condition. Possible symptoms include:
Joint pain

Literary Analysis Of How Jack Went To Seek His Fortune
1. The genre of How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune can be classified as a fairytale. This is because of
the author s usage of the words Once upon a time.. and the way the characters are incorporated into
the story as Jack seeks his fortune. This story could also qualify as fiction because this excerpt from
How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune is non realistic due to its fairytale qualities. 2. The exposition of
the written text is given when Jack states he is going to seek his fortune. This detail of the story sets a
basis for the plotline and allows the author to begin introducing characters and a theme for the
fairytale. The exposition is stated on the first line and says, Once on a time there was a boy named
Jack, and one morning he started to go and seek his fortune. This line introduces a sense of adventure
and possible conflict along Jack s journey, which is essential in developing a plot. 3. The rising action
of this excerpt from How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune can best be described as, each time Jack
found an animal to join him on his journey to discover his fortune. This can be believed to be the
rising action due to the development of characters. An example of this can be found when Jack
discovers his first companion, the cat, and it states, He hadn t gone very far before he met a cat. Where
are you going, Jack? said the cat. I am going to seek my fortune. May I go with you? Yes, said Jack,
the more the merrier. So on they went, jiggelty jolt, jiggelty jolt. The author is able to develop a sense
of suspense through the repetition of developing characters. This continues as the dog, goat, bull, and
rooster are added to the story. 4. The climax of the story is found when Jack and his newfound friends
come up upon some robbers in the house the animals and Jack were planning to occupy that evening.
Jack skillfully devises a plan to rid the house of the robbers and uses his animal friends to help him.
With teamwork, the plan becomes a success and they are able to spend the night in the house the
robbers had just fled from. This paragraph from How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune unravels the
climax of the story and allows readers to engage in a suspenseful event, and it states,

Essay on Dating Anxiety
Dating Anxiety
Have you ever been really stressed about something? Think of the time when you have been the most
stressed out. Multiply that to the 10th power and you have me before a date. It seems to me dating and
stress are like salt and pepper; you almost never have one without the other. Endless anticipations
flood your mind, making it almost impossible to keep a continuous train of thought. The worst thing
about dating is that you get seriously stressed out for one lousy night. It s enough to turn a sane mind

mood possible. You get in the car trying to fake a genuine smile and just when you start to chill out
and relax the next issue is faced: where to go.
Of course your date leaves this crucial decision entirely up to you. After thinking through all of the

where your date s ex girlfriend likes to go. So you spend the whole evening trying to spark a good

Professional Athletes Should Be Allowed At The Olympic Games
With the multi billions of dollars that the Olympics earn and spend, it s certainly is in the best interest
of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to remain under the circumstances of keeping sport
open to professional athletes, not only financially, but as well as the majority of their viewers. In this
position statement, I will use historic International Olympic Committee guidelines (1964) and official
IOC reports as a basis for proving that professional athletes should be allowed to participate in the
Olympic Games.
To successfully understand what differentiates a professional athlete from an amateur athlete, and the
issues that arise from it, we must understand how the International Olympic Committee defines a
professional and amateur athlete. According to the Eligibility Rules of the International Olympic
Committee published in 1964,
a person was only eligible to participate in the Olympic games if they were an advocate for sport,
without material gain of any kind. He does not qualify:
a) If he has not a basic occupation designed to insure his insure his present and future livelihood;
b) If he receives or has received remuneration for participation in sport ;
c) If he does not comply with the Rules of the International Federation concerned, and the official
interpretations of this Rule number 26 . (Eligibility Rules of the International Olympic

Bilbo Themes
J.R.R. Tolkien s The Hobbit has often been regarded as one of the greatest fantasy stories. A majority
of the appeal of The Hobbit lies in the fact that it is, at its very core, a story about the journey of a
seemingly ordinary hero. The story may appeal to children because even on a surface level, it is a
story about the fantastical adventures once can have if they leave the comfort of their home. However,
it is also a journey from past to present; it shows how the richness of the tradition of the past has a lot
to teach us, and it tells us to live in the present with both the lessons of the past enriching our
experience, but also to consider what the future can hold for us. However, the most essential journey

in the story, he still feels a sense of duty towards the dwarves, one that goes beyond the contract he

as he feels betrayed when Bilbo takes the Arkenstone and gives it to the elves and men to make peace

Fay Weldon Letters To Alice
(THESIS) Jane Austen s didactic novel Pride and Prejudice (1813), written during the patriarchal
Victorian Era examines the intricate relationship between love and financial security in marriages.
Similarly, Fay Weldon s postmodernist epistolary novel Letters to Alice (1984) argues for the
importance of morally instructive texts as well as supporting the importance of finding a balance
between love and financial security within marriage. (CONC SENT)
By examining Austen s Pride and Prejudice in conjunction with Weldon s feminist assessment of
Regency values, an enhanced understanding of the institution of marriage is achieved. Austen,

To know that her daughter would be married was enough. She was not humbled by any remembrance

Persuasive Essay About Healing
Healing is one of the many benefits that come with being a Christian with many other benefits as well.
Being a Christian is something many people say that they are even if they have to the idea about it just
because they might have heard about Jesus or about the Bible, but in fact, there are many parts of the
Bible that they do not know about. Many of those people are very confused about healing and what it
means to be healed. There are also many other ways to accept healing in one s body, getting the
healing and keeping the healing.
The first part of healing needs to understand the true source of sickness and death. The greatest issue
that people are faced with is that they believe it is God s Will or that it s part of a process and this is
where most people fall short of healing. People need to realize that the power is in your tongue and
that one s confession does make a difference in how life will turn out. Also, how it is not God s will
for one to be sick or to have diseases and that only Satan wants that because he is your adversary.
Another area where people fall short is when realizing the true source of the disease and the spirit of
infirmity which keeps people from becoming healed. Another way for people to become healed is to
refuse sickness that is in one s body. This includes making sure that one confession is nothing but
positive and helpful for one s life. A confession is something that most people feel is not going to
harm them when they are

Lab Report 9 Bleach Oxidation Essays
Bleach Oxidation of 9 Hydroxyfluorene
The purpose of this experiment was to oxidize an alcohol (9 hydroxyfluorene) to a ketone (9
fluorenone) using aqueous sodium hypochlorite (bleach) as the oxidizing agent, while introducing
techniques used in microscale experiments.
Reaction:
Results
1. Recrystallized Product Yield
Product yield = (actual yield/theoretical yield) x 100%
3mL 9 hydroxyfluorene x (1mL/1000mL) x (0.09 mol/L) = 2.7 x 10 4 moles
0.05g 9 fluorenone / (180.20g/mol) = 2.77 x 10 4 moles
Product yield: (0.000277 mol/0.00027 mol) x 100 = 102.5% yield
*Note: A recording mistake was made in the lab notebook, where the final product was supposed to be
0.05g (calculations above) and not 0.55g (calculations below).
0.55g ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The range determined in the experiment is approximately 2 degrees above the actual melting point
range, indicating some impurities in the final compound. According to the IR spectrum, the product
obtained is quite pure. The peaks in the table above indicate the presence of a carbonyl, specifically
the C=O bond of a cyclic ketone and also the sp2 hybridized =C H bond of an alkene. There is no
broad peak ranging from 3200 cm 1 3600 cm 1, which would indicate the presence of the OH group of
an alcohol. Thus, there is likely no presence of starting material in the final product. The percent yield
above 100% indicates that some liquid (hexanes) used to recrystallize the product was likely still in
the flask when the product was weighed.
2. Price of Reagents
Jones Oxidation: 0.00027 moles of 9 hydroxyfluorene requires:
(.00027 mol)(1.1) / (2M) = .1485 L of 2M CrO3 in H2SO4. That would be 14.85mL. Therefore,
($88.70)(14.85/25) = $52.69
PCC Oxidation: .00027 moles of PCC would weigh: (.00027mol)(1.1)(215.56g/mol) = 0.064g. This
costs ($25.20)(.064/25)= $0.06
Swern Oxidation: (0.00027 mol)(1.1)(78.13 g/mol) / (1.1 g/mL) = 0.02 mL of DMSO. ($28.70)
(.02/100) = $0.01
(.00027 mol)(3)(101.2 g/mol)/(.725 g/mL) = 0.11 mL of Et3N
($24.50)(.11/100) = $0.27
(.00027 mol)(1.1)(126.93 g/mol) = 0.038g of Oxalyl chloride
($51.90)(.038/25) = $0.08
Total cost: 0.01+0.27+0.08 = $0.36
Bleach Oxidation: (.00027

The Death Of Andrea Yates Essay
A Texas mother named Andrea Yates was freed from prison for the violent murder of her five small
children including an infant by reason of insanity. She suffered from severe postpartum psychosis.
This form of psychosis can affect mothers after childbirth especially if they already are predisposed to
mental illness or depression. During this time a mother can loose her ability to make rational reality
based decisions. This is what happened to Andrea Yates and so many other mothers. How can one be
accused of a crime when their sanity is in question? Poor mother. If Andrea Yates can be forgiven for
her insanity of brutally killing her children, then can t Alison Quets be forgiven for only wanting to
love her children? Who is Alison Quets? She is a 49 year old single woman from Florida. Ms. Quets
said she always dreamed of being a mother even as she worked as an engineer. She underwent invitro
fertilization and gave birth to twins, a boy and girl. After the birth of her children she stated she was in
a lot of pain from the surgery. Sleep deprived throughout the pregnancy, as well as from handling
premature babies alone. As a mother I know how tired you can become from the care of a newborn
infant. I couldn t imagine being single with newborn twins. After stating her body began to give out on

Neat People Vs Sloppy People By Suzanne Britt And Batting...
The essays, Neat People vs Sloppy People by English teacher and writer, Suzanne Britt and Batting
Clean Up and Striking out by humorist and reporter, David Barry take a whole new look on the
dreaded aspects of cleaning. Britt and Barry chose to utilize humor in order to convey to the audience
that everyone has a different way of living. Britt expresses the different lifestyles of sloppy people to
the notorious neat people. Oppositely, Barry compares gender roles in order to see the differences
between how males and females view the definition of clean . Britt and Barry strengthen their
humorous tone by employing exaggeration in pursuance of making their arguments obvious. Even
though these two writers have the same underlying message, their backgrounds are disparate. As a
writer, Britt is motivated by indifference and how one can hold themselves back and not fight for what
they desire or believe in. Throughout Britt s writing, one can verify her drive to prove what is right.
Furthermore, since Britt is an English teacher she understands the correct and proper way to write. On
the other hand, how to write has always been difficult for Barry but, coming up with the humorous
topics is effortless. Both authors illustrate distinct characteristics between certain personalities that
result in different lifestyles and priorities. While both Britt and Barry express the aspects that come
with different personalities and utilize humor and exaggeration, Britt shows bias towards

The Controversy Of Bribery
A bribe is to persuade someone to act in one s favor, typically illegally or dishonestly, by a gift of
money or other inducements. Many companies have been accused of bribery within their organization.
Some of America s most well known companies have been accused of this crime. Famous brands we
all know such as Johnson Johnson, Hewlett Packard, Tyson Foods, Ralph Lauren, Wal Mart and many
more have all allegedly been responsible for giving money or other benefits in exchange for favors
that will bend the law. Today, corruption costs the global economy some $2.6 trillion every year, or 5

One way for a company to avoid bribery within the company is to assess all the risks that have to do
with bribery. Businesses must educate the employees about the risks involved. In most countries,
bribery or acts of corruption are punishable by law which can bring a bad name to the company and
later lead to trust issues. This can severely hinder the profitability of a business. A company that has
been found guilty of bribes can lose consumer confidence; which results in the loss of profit.
Companies must be aware of the differences and rules of conducting business within other countries
and avoid any malpractices (Prevent Bribery). Another way to avoid bribery is there must be a zero
tolerance policy towards bribery within the entire company. This can be ensured by top management
explaining that bribery can lead to severe consequences which can involve imprisonment, heavy fines,
and termination. Additionally, a company must thoroughly run a background check of the client s,
vendors, and partners; as well as their credibility in the marketplace. Any cases of past history

Cross Sectional Study Essay
Cross Sectional Study Article Review Biostatics is the essential to all functions of public health.
Biostatistics interprets the distribution and variation of the data to obtain reliable results and valid
conclusions. In Biostatics there are two types of studies that can be done, observational and
experimental. One type of observational study is a cross sectional study. Cross sectionals surveys are
observational studies conducted at a point in time. A cross sectional study entails measuring different
variables in a target population at a single point in time (Chamberlain, 2018). The article Over
indebtedness as a marker of socioeconomic status and its association with obesity: a cross sectional
study gives us an understanding of a study desgin.
Why Cross Sectional Study There are various reasons why this is a cross sectional study. To begin
with, in this cross sectional study they are studying a target population during a certain time and the
various variables among the target population that have led to their disease state. Data are collected on
the whole study population to examine the relationship between disease (or other health related state)
and other variables of interest. Cross sectional studies therefore provide a snapshot of the frequency of

Episthropology, And Epistemology
Research Philosophies
There are two main subdivisions of research philosophies; ontological and epistemological research
philosophies. Ontology involves using a nature perspective to establish how things work. On the other
hand, epistemology involves assessing the interaction between the knowledge of the inquirer and the
research (Saunders, Lewis, Thornhill, 2009). The nature of reality can thus be determined by
reviewing the four primary research philosophies that are based on epistemology and ontology.
The four primary research philosophies include pragmatism, realism, positivism, and interpretivism.

In this case, researchers use information that is already available and accessible to the public. Such
information is retrieved from governmental institutions, companies, and other researchers (Kumar,

that it is cheaper than primary research. Secondly, secondary researches and their findings are readily

also has a high degree or error propagation. Errors that were incurred in the initial research are

The Influence of TV Advertisements on the Buying Behavior...
Introduction Advertisements are cost effective ways to disseminate messages with a view to build a
brand preference or to educate people (Kotler Keller, 2006). The majority of the marketers use mass
media for their marketing communications. The choice of media is dependent upon the nature of the
message and the intended target audience (Etzel et al, 2008). Television is generally acknowledged as
the most powerful advertising medium. The wide reach translates to low cost per exposure (Kotler

Motivating Factors In 19th Century Europe
There was a population explosion because the needs of additional people could be met by a quickly
advancing society. In England, fewer people died because of general improving public health
conditions and things like a smallpox vaccine and pasteurization, and more people were born due to
earlier marriages and a lack of birth control. When more people are born than die, the population
increases. Additionally, smaller populations migrated into developed countries to find work,
increasing the population of the larger countries, like the migrants from Ireland due to a potato famine
coming to England for industrial work.
In your own words, why did 19th century Europe see a dramatic increase in migration and
immigration? What were some of the motivating factors?
Migration and immigration increased in 19th century Europe because there were more jobs available
in cities and towns that paid more than those in the country. Additionally, some migrants, like the
Irish, came to escape bad living conditions, in that case to get away from a potato famine. New cities
and changing ideas offered a safe haven for those prosecuted for their religious beliefs or political
stance in other countries, prompting migration into major metropolitan areas.
Why did the number of towns increase during the industrial revolution? What social problems were
created due to this increase?

Dn Dna And Dna
Question 1 a) DNA replication is the process in which a cell passes this DNA sequence onto other
cells when it divides which is known as mitosis as it must duplicate its genome so each new cell has a
copy. This occurs during interphase. During DNA replication the enzyme DNA helicase are important
as they separate double stranded DNA into single strands allowing each strand to be copied. DNA
polymerase are another important enzyme that starts attaching new complementary nucleotides to
these templates. It is done according to the base pairing rules, A=T, C=G, G=C and T=A. Once the
new nucleotides are attached, two new sister DNA strands are formed same as the original strand. The
result is two identical strands, each of which is half new. b) mRNA is a translation of DNA into a

Importance Of Drug Testing For Professional Athletes
Should All Professional Athletes be Tested For Drugs?
Roger Maris was the first major league baseball player to hit 61 home runs in one season in 1961,
beating Babe Ruth s record of 60 in 1927. Thirty seven years later in 1998, St. Louis Cardinals player
Mark McGwire and Chicago Cubs player Sammy Sosa fought hard to see who could break the
previous record of 61. At the end of Sosa s season, he finished with an extraordinary 66 home runs,
five home runs over the record. However, McGwire finished remarkably with 70 home runs, nine
home runs over the record. Twelve years later in 2010, McGwire revealed that he had used
androstenedione, a common over the counter drug. At the time of the record chase, androstenedione
was still legal in baseball, but in the International Olympic Committee, the NFL, and National
Collegiate Athletic Association, androstenedione was considered illegal and you would be disqualified
or even expelled from the league if it was found in your blood. Today, people still argue whether or
not McGwire should be the record holder. Drug testing for professional athletes should be required

are not a good influence for children looking up to these athletes.

Computer Programming And Software Design Essay
INTRODUCTION
An important, underrated and often overlooked tool for Computer Supported Collaborative Work,
henceforth abbreviated CSCW, is the revision control system or version control system, henceforth
abbreviated as RCS, or VCS, respectively. There are a plethora of RCS and VCS available from which
to choose. Within the field of computer programming and software design, the use of RCS or VCS is a
vital best practice, especially in development environments with many programmers, developers,
engineers, administrators, and managers. However, RCS or VCS can and should be used wherever
there are larger groups of CSCW regardless of the domain. Henceforth, RCS and VCS shall be
referred to as any generic revision or version control system, abbreviated as RVCS. The significance
of evaluating various RVCS becomes apparent by demonstrating and illustrating their importance.
Such evaluation is then used to produce or derive guidelines that streamline the selection of the RVCS
for a particular CSCW group.
WHAT EXACTLY IS RVCS?
One way to begin operationally defining RVCS is with the simple concept of artifacts and deliverables
produced, created, developed or engineered by the CSCW group. The sharing of such artifacts is
essential in the operations of the CSCW group (Schmidt, et. al., 2015). Typically, such modern day
artifacts or deliverables consist of documents, spreadsheets, diagrams, charts, tables, graphs, reports,
presentations, and other multimedia. In the domain of computer

The Effectiveness of Wittes Economic Reform in Russia
When Sergei Witte became minister of finance in Russia in 1892 he recognised that the economy had
to be modernised if Russia was to become a world power on a par with the west.
The Industrial Revolution that had taken place in the west had led to its massive economic growth and
an increase in power and Empire building. Being able to buy cheap, raw materials like oil and coal
from Russia fuelled part of the west s industrial revolution.
Witte decided that Russia needed state Capitalism to modernise. He borrowed capital and encouraged

Wittes economic policy seemed to be working as by 1897 the Russian currency, the Rouble, was put

brilliant mind, Witte was not an easy man to get on with and he was not popular with the Tsarist court
or the government. Change was resisted and Witte had no support for his vision of a richer, more
powerful, modernised Russia.
There was also conflict with the military commanders who pushed their needs for transport and
military hardware to the top of the economic agenda. These conflicts interfered with Wittes plans and
so by the time of the Great Trade Recession at the turn of the century, critics could identify three

government Witte (who was German) brought in many experienced foreign industrialist and capital
from the west to manage and finance his projects. This was not at all popular with the Tsar or Russia
who did not trust him. Wittes industrial projects were always large and on a grand scale. He failed to

William Bennett Drug Policy And The Intellectuals Summary
In his essay, Drug Policy and the Intellectuals , William Bennett dissects the intellectuals role in the
National Drug Policy and explains that they are too uninterested and too lazy when it comes to this
debate. Bennett understands that the drug policy is a complex problem, and forcefully suggests that it
must be broken down carefully in order to find a conclusion that best fits our nation as a whole.
Bennett s major claims are that legalization will be wholly ineffective and detrimental, our society has
multiple drug related problems that urgently need solutions, and finally he offers what he believes to
be the most viable and effective solutions to the problem at hand. Bennett explains that the drug
problem is not one that can be easily solved, therefore the simple act of legalizing drugs would prove
to being effective and the solution requires more analysis. He goes one to explain that the intellectuals
aren t taking all of the factors into consideration, because the are ... Show more content on

Bennett says that heavy drug use destroys human character (550) and therefore it is immoral and is
lacking in virtue. The abuse of drugs abolishes the values of an autonomy and ruin relationships,
according to Bennett. He states that drug use dismantles friendships and families while at the same
time sabotaging our mind and body. He then discredits the intellectuals and affirms that the real
experts on the subject are those who have witnessed it firsthand, such as: teachers, cops, parents, (and)
kids (550). He exclaims that these people are facing living with the consequences of drugs everyday
and witnessing the horrid effects of drugs, while concurrently battling against drug use. The
intellectuals fail to comprehend the complete effects of drugs on these people and their lives, Bennett
explains, so they find pseudosolutions like legalization (551) effective and

Sherman Alexie The Joy Of Reading
Academic Blog Post: EJ Goings (9/4/2015)
Thinking back on all of the academic posts that we have worked on, I believe that there is some sort of
pattern between Villanueva, Mellix, and Alexie stories. All have been able to overcome struggle, face
adversity, and strive and maintain excellence in mastering English and literacy skills. Their adversity
allowed them to grow internally, allowing their external layer to be polished and perfected. In the
Alexie piece, Alexie believed that Indian children were expected to be stupid . (Sherman Alexie, The
Joy of Reading and Writing) When a child expectations are low and they are told they will not amount
to anything, they begin to believe and process those thoughts. Thus, making it very hard for a child to
learn at their own rate. I highly believe that a support system is needed in order to become successful
in not only a school system, but life as well. Alexie also talked about how Indian children excelled
outside school. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In my eyes, I see this as the turning point in Alexie s life. Alexie was a child who was not expected to
live, grew up poor ( living on a combination of irregular paychecks, hope fear, and government
surplus food ) and began to experience his first literacy experience at the age of three. Although some
would not see this as a turning point in their lives, this signified that he was on the path of discovering
his inner self and beginning to add layers to his life to become a successful

Zacharias Suffering
Zacharias grew up in an Anglican family. However, the belief is only shown on the form. He himself
was an atheist until 17, when he attempted suicide by swallowing poison but failed. According to
Zacharias, there was somebody who told his mother to read John s Gospel to him while he laid in
hospital in Delhi. Then Zacharias decided to accept the Christian faith. Now, Zacharias is the author of
many Christian s publications, including Jesus among other Gods. The book pointed out many issues
by stating questions that skeptics may ask Christianity such as: If God is real, is not He supposed to
make our lives wonderful? Is God the source of suffering? Then one by one, it answers all of the
questions to showed that Christian faith is a reasonable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When pain and suffering attach people lives, again, because of their brokenness, they hunger for God s
solutions. When God does not give them what they want, their emotions take over. People start to ask
why He allows it. More than that, they question: is He there? This question has caused incalculable
individuals to judge their religion, question their beliefs, and, in some cases, abandon the concept that
there s a God. Several reach a conclusion just like this: If there is a caring, almighty God, he would rid
of the planet of evil currently. Since he does not, there should not be a God and if there is, he is either
not caring or not almighty, either of that makes Him unworthy to our worship. To answer this
question, Zacharias points out: the explanation must meet both the intellectual and emotional demands
(89). Christianity as a worldview is the only one that accepts the reality of evil and suffering, explains
both the cause and the purpose, and offers God given strength to survive it. Evil is real and the source
of it is: humanity rebelled against the holy Creator. Because they both suffer and cause suffering, evil
seems mysterious to them and they put the blame on God. The only solution is they have to allow God
to transform their hearts to bring an end to evil because He already has a plan for

Hbs About Cc Company Essay
Introduction
Strategic Capital Management, LLC is a hedge fund planning to make financial investments in
Creative Computers and Ubid. Creative Computers sold approximately 20% of its Internet auction
subsidiary, Ubid, to the public at $15 per share. Ubid s stock price closed the first day of trading at
$48, giving Ubid a $439 million market capitalization. On dec 9, Creative Computers had a market
capitalization of $ 232 million (22.75 * 10,238,703 outstanding shares) whereas Ubid s market
capitalization amounts to $439 million. This indicates that Ubid currently has a greater market value
than the parent company. Moreover, the mispricing can be taken advantage of through an arbitrage
opportunity. Paradoxically, the parent s stock price ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, the rate of return since Dec 9 1998, after CC distributed 7.32 million UBID shares to its
shareholder, is 5.72% calculated as following:
Transaction | At 9th December 1998 | At 7th June 1999 | Long Creactive computers | $22.75 | $32.63 |
Short Ubid 0.71469 shares at $35.6875 | $25.51 | $34 | Cash proceed from Ubid | $25.51 | $25.51 |
Initial margin 50% on long position | $11.38 | $11.38 | Initial margin 50% on short position | $12.75 |
$12.75 | Net equity | $24.13 | $25.51 | Rate of return | | 5.72% |
Before CC distributed 7.32 million UBID shares to its shareholder, the arbitrage opportunity exists.
The rate of return is 11.42% which is discussed before.
The difference between the two rates of return is caused by the arbitrage opportunity with which one
can purchase shares in CC and hold them until CC Shares get converted into Ubid Shares. In the case
of an arbitrage transaction (Discussed under section 3.1), the investors are able to convert the asset
purchased on margin (i.e. CC shares) into Ubid shares and those converted shares would be used to
pay the borrowed Ubid share under the short selling contract. The consequence of such transaction is
that the balance of asset purchased on margin and balance of short sale assets (i.e Ubid shares) are
both closed off after the repayment of short sale asset, giving rise to a net amount of zero. By contrast,
there would be $32.625 worth of asset purchased on

  • 2. Giving Up Control Giving up control Q: I ve read that enlightenment can only be found through meditation and living and practicing with a realised master. Is that correct? A: I read this theory many times when I was seeking the truth, and I feared that it might eventually stop my progress. But I m proof that you don t have to know a guru to achieve enlightenment. You don t even have to meditate! All you have to do is consciously dissect yourself, and your world, without colouring what you see. Then each time you find the truth of an object or subject, you simply release the false impression and allow the truth of what you have found to fill its place. Then one by one, truth by truth, the complete picture will reveal itself until you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is always with you. • 3. Analysis Of Rifkin s A Change Of Heart About Animals Animal rights has been a topic of controversy for the last decade and the question arises on whether or not animals have rights. In the quote from Arthur Schopenhauer s The Basis of Morality, the main argument is that the only way humans can remain moral is if we treat all animals with compassion. Schopenhauer uses different comparisons in the short quote to improve the impact on the reader as well as show the way humans view the animals being treated. With that, it is evident that animals do need basic rights which can potentially be achieved through proper compassion and care. These animals need to have the ability to freely express their personalities as well as the proper attention and interactions on a daily basis. Animals have no potential ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Having proper attention means daily care and interactions with either humans or other animals. When animals receive proper attention, it is clear that learning is passed on from parent to offspring far more often than not... (Rifkin, Par. 15). Learning is an important aspect for both humans and animals showing that when animals rights are restricted due to the inability to have interaction with other animals, no learning can occur. In the laboratories animals are often neglected and left there for hours with little to no care or contact with humans or other animals. Animals that are neglected from both human and other animal interaction are more likely to have increased health problems. In the article A Change of Heart About Animals, Rifkin explains a study involving the use of pigs and their social behaviors. Through an experiment, researchers have found that they crave affection and are easily depressed if isolated or denied playtime with each other (Par. 4). When the animals are sent off to laboratories these rights are taken away from them leading to lack of interaction which deteriorates their health. The deterioration of their health is often caused by the lack of the mind stimulation and due to a lack of physical activity daily. • 4. Immigration Policy And The Immigration Sector Immigration PAD 3034 Juan Sarmiento Florida International University July 9th, 2015 Abstract In this paper, I decided to analyze the immigration policy. The immigration policies have had a deep history. The policies have been twisted, in the long run, to meet the demands of the time. However, most of the times, the policies have been unfair especially in regard to the immigrants. The overview contains a rich history of the policy progression and advancements in the immigration sector. In this paper, I decided to extrapolate on some few contemporary issues that are as a result of the immigration policies and laws. One of the contentious issues is the Visa policy. This is a system that is widely used by the US government. Though formulated with a good purpose, the formulation did not cater for everything that is associated with immigration. For instance, the immigrants who are on transit for employment are not selected based on the employment demand in the market, hence, they end up being stranded and thus are forced to accept low paying jobs with poor working conditions. The solution to this is also discussed in the paper. I have also discussed on the open door policy and its implications which include overpopulation. Overpopulation on its part has directly affected both the immigrants and natives with many adverse effects. I was able to do research, and I consequently came up with a set of alternative methods that could be of help. However, I have also discussed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The incompetence of the Provisional Government (PG) and the Guomindang (GMD) made a considerable contribution to the outbreak of revolution in Russia (Oct 1917) and China (1949). Both the PG and GMD were relatively new forms of government placed in power to resolve longstanding issues such as low standards of living and significant needs for reform. As a result, Russia had removed its Tsarist system in February earlier that year and China also expelled its dynastic system to become a Republic in 1911. Furthermore, other changes sought by Russians promised under the PG were not met such as food and supply shortages. In China, the situation was quite similar, after gaining power the primary goal of the government changed to maintaining it and the comfortable and profitable positions that came with it. (Grasso Corrin) Land reform was also disregarded by the government in China, many new taxes were introduced such as kettle tax, grain transport tax, roof tax and road maintenance tax (Lynch). Furthermore, the same struggles for food were seen in China as some resorted to eating the bark from trees. Chinese peasants were also terrorised under ruthless warlords such as Zhang Zongzhang, whom took a pathological delight in terrorising the population. (Lynch) This was compounded in China by the fact that the GMD dissolved workers unions such as the Chinese League for the protection of Civil Rights and disallowed the formation of workers unions unless they were heavily controlled by the government, having the effect of creating mounting discontent towards the GMD. Despite these similarities the GMD went further than the PG by resorting to taking out loans in order to finance their party rather than industrial and economic growth. For that reason, China remained [even more] hopelessly backward compared with modern industrial powers. (Grasso Corrin) Together discontent with government generated ... • 6. Classroom Inclusion In The Classroom For the majority of educational history, students with disabilities are placed in segregated classrooms in order to protect them. However, recent controversy details the existence of increased negative impacts on classroom segregation. The importance of classroom inclusion falls under three main categories: mutual acceptance and equal treatment of students with disabilities in society, increased personality development in disabled students, and quicker development of crucial skills (Soponaru, Camelia, et al. 1). Overall, integrated classrooms appear to be effective, but many regular education teachers lack the qualifications to properly instruct integrated classrooms. Even though some regular education teachers are qualified to teach integrated classrooms, regular education teachers with integrated classrooms need to be more thoroughly educated about special needs to ensure an optimal learning environment for all students. Regular education teachers with integrated classrooms need to be more thoroughly educated about special needs to optimize their teaching abilities. Recent advocacy for inclusion classrooms has left unqualified teachers instructing a range of students; which unfortunately leads to unfavorable learning environments. • 8. Evaluation Of A Teacher Student Relationship Linda Albert (2012) mentions for students to experience a strong sense of belonging in school, they must satisfy Cooperative Discipline s Three Cs . The Three Cs are Capable, Connect, and Contribute. Three factors affect students ability to satisfy the Three Cs in the classroom: the quality of the teacher student relationship; the strength of the classroom climate for success; and the appropriateness of the classroom structure (Albert, 2012). The best way to satisfy the Three Cs through the use of encouragement strategies. If we are positive and encouraging, people do better when they feel better, and that which people perceive affects the way they feel. For example, if you receive a compliment, then a positive feeling emerges (Marshall, 2005). The first C is helping students feel Capable. When students feel good about themselves they have fulfilled the feeling of capable. As teachers, Linda Albert mentioned different encouragement techniques to help students reach their full potential. Linda made her techniques into five major strategies: make mistakes okay, build confidence, focus on past successes, make learning tangible, and recognize achievement. He talks about how America has ruled over unfit races, such as the Indians, many times and imperialism is no different. He also points out that other large nations will scoop them up if the United States doesn t. This is because of the author s usage of the words Once upon a time.. and the way the characters are incorporated into the story as Jack seeks his fortune. This story could also qualify as fiction because this excerpt from How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune is non realistic due to its fairytale qualities. 2. The exposition of the written text is given when Jack states he is going to seek his fortune. This detail of the story sets a basis for the plotline and allows the author to begin introducing characters and a theme for the fairytale. The exposition is stated on the first line and says, Once on a time there was a boy named Jack, and one morning he started to go and seek his fortune. This line introduces a sense of adventure and possible conflict along Jack s journey, which is essential in developing a plot. 3. The rising action of this excerpt from How Jack Went to Seek His Fortune can best be described as, each time Jack found an animal to join him on his journey to discover his fortune. This can be believed to be the rising action due to the development of characters. An example of this can be found when Jack discovers his first companion, the cat, and it states, He hadn t gone very far before he met a cat. Where are you going, Jack? said the cat. I am going to seek my fortune. May I go with you? Yes, said Jack, the more the merrier. So on they went, jiggelty jolt, jiggelty jolt. The author is able to develop a sense of suspense through the repetition of developing characters. This continues as the dog, goat, bull, and rooster are added to the story. 4. The climax of the story is found when Jack and his newfound friends come up upon some robbers in the house the animals and Jack were planning to occupy that evening. The story may appeal to children because even on a surface level, it is a story about the fantastical adventures once can have if they leave the comfort of their home. However, it is also a journey from past to present; it shows how the richness of the tradition of the past has a lot to teach us, and it tells us to live in the present with both the lessons of the past enriching our experience, but also to consider what the future can hold for us. Fay Weldon Letters To Alice (THESIS) Jane Austen s didactic novel Pride and Prejudice (1813), written during the patriarchal Victorian Era examines the intricate relationship between love and financial security in marriages. Similarly, Fay Weldon s postmodernist epistolary novel Letters to Alice (1984) argues for the importance of morally instructive texts as well as supporting the importance of finding a balance between love and financial security within marriage. (CONC SENT) By examining Austen s Pride and Prejudice in conjunction with Weldon s feminist assessment of Regency values, an enhanced understanding of the institution of marriage is achieved. Now, Austen mocks Mrs Bennet s obsession with marrying her daughters in the third person narration To know that her daughter would be married was enough. She was not humbled by any remembrance of her misconduct . In response, Weldon admits I take a very tender view of Mrs Bennet, more tender than her creator does. But I am looking at a society from the outside in, not the inside out. educing pathos for the difficulties faced by Victorian mothers from the readers by demonstrating the greater significance of marrying one s children as only 30% of women married during Victorian England as opposed to the 1980s where marriage has become trivialised to the stuff of women s magazines . Furthermore, the Aunt s series of questions to Alice What do your parents say? Aren t you excited? Will you settle down to be a writer or will you go to UCLA as planned? promotes the values instilled by the first two waves of feminism supporting female education and autonomy challenging the notion females need to marry for economic advantage in the modern world. However, Weldon s analogy of the pretty girl from Java marries the rancher from Australia...to escape hunger and poverty paradoxically criticises claims of female autonomy being achieved as though large advancements have been made in developed nations, these are not consistent across all nations. • 21. Persuasive Essay About Healing Healing is one of the many benefits that come with being a Christian with many other benefits as well. Being a Christian is something many people say that they are even if they have to the idea about it just because they might have heard about Jesus or about the Bible, but in fact, there are many parts of the Bible that they do not know about. Many of those people are very confused about healing and what it means to be healed. There are also many other ways to accept healing in one s body, getting the healing and keeping the healing. The first part of healing needs to understand the true source of sickness and death. The greatest issue that people are faced with is that they believe it is God s Will or that it s part of a process and this is where most people fall short of healing. People need to realize that the power is in your tongue and that one s confession does make a difference in how life will turn out. Also, how it is not God s will for one to be sick or to have diseases and that only Satan wants that because he is your adversary. Another area where people fall short is when realizing the true source of the disease and the spirit of infirmity which keeps people from becoming healed. Another way for people to become healed is to refuse sickness that is in one s body. This includes making sure that one confession is nothing but positive and helpful for one s life. There is no broad peak ranging from 3200 cm 1 3600 cm 1, which would indicate the presence of the OH group of an alcohol. Thus, there is likely no presence of starting material in the final product. The percent yield above 100% indicates that some liquid (hexanes) used to recrystallize the product was likely still in the flask when the product was weighed. 2. Dn Dna And Dna Question 1 a) DNA replication is the process in which a cell passes this DNA sequence onto other cells when it divides which is known as mitosis as it must duplicate its genome so each new cell has a copy. This occurs during interphase. During DNA replication the enzyme DNA helicase are important as they separate double stranded DNA into single strands allowing each strand to be copied. DNA polymerase are another important enzyme that starts attaching new complementary nucleotides to these templates. It is done according to the base pairing rules, A=T, C=G, G=C and T=A. Once the new nucleotides are attached, two new sister DNA strands are formed same as the original strand. The result is two identical strands, each of which is half new. b) mRNA is a translation of DNA into a convertible protein substituting T with U. Computer Programming And Software Design Essay INTRODUCTION An important, underrated and often overlooked tool for Computer Supported Collaborative Work, henceforth abbreviated CSCW, is the revision control system or version control system, henceforth abbreviated as RCS, or VCS, respectively. There are a plethora of RCS and VCS available from which to choose. Within the field of computer programming and software design, the use of RCS or VCS is a vital best practice, especially in development environments with many programmers, developers, engineers, administrators, and managers. However, RCS or VCS can and should be used wherever there are larger groups of CSCW regardless of the domain. Henceforth, RCS and VCS shall be referred to as any generic revision or version control system, abbreviated as RVCS. The significance of evaluating various RVCS becomes apparent by demonstrating and illustrating their importance. Such evaluation is then used to produce or derive guidelines that streamline the selection of the RVCS for a particular CSCW group. WHAT EXACTLY IS RVCS? One way to begin operationally defining RVCS is with the simple concept of artifacts and deliverables produced, created, developed or engineered by the CSCW group. Essay The Effectiveness of Wittes Economic Reform in Russia The Effectiveness of Wittes Economic Reform in Russia When Sergei Witte became minister of finance in Russia in 1892 he recognised that the economy had to be modernised if Russia was to become a world power on a par with the west. The Industrial Revolution that had taken place in the west had led to its massive economic growth and an increase in power and Empire building. Being able to buy cheap, raw materials like oil and coal from Russia fuelled part of the west s industrial revolution. Witte decided that Russia needed state Capitalism to modernise. He borrowed capital and encouraged investment from the west and large factories began to produce heavy industry like steel. Witte imposed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wittes economic policy seemed to be working as by 1897 the Russian currency, the Rouble, was put on the Gold Standard which gave it value in exchange with other currencies. But there were other problems that were beginning to undermine Wittes visions for a successful economy. Although a brilliant mind, Witte was not an easy man to get on with and he was not popular with the Tsarist court or the government. Change was resisted and Witte had no support for his vision of a richer, more powerful, modernised Russia. There was also conflict with the military commanders who pushed their needs for transport and military hardware to the top of the economic agenda. These conflicts interfered with Wittes plans and so by the time of the Great Trade Recession at the turn of the century, critics could identify three major weaknesses in his economic reform. Witte paid To drive his economic reform through without support or interest from the Tsarist court or the government Witte (who was German) brought in many experienced foreign industrialist and capital from the west to manage and finance his projects. This was not at all popular with the Tsar or Russia who did not trust him. Wittes industrial projects were always large and on a grand scale. William Bennett Drug Policy And The Intellectuals Summary In his essay, Drug Policy and the Intellectuals , William Bennett dissects the intellectuals role in the National Drug Policy and explains that they are too uninterested and too lazy when it comes to this debate. Bennett understands that the drug policy is a complex problem, and forcefully suggests that it must be broken down carefully in order to find a conclusion that best fits our nation as a whole. Bennett s major claims are that legalization will be wholly ineffective and detrimental, our society has multiple drug related problems that urgently need solutions, and finally he offers what he believes to be the most viable and effective solutions to the problem at hand. Bennett explains that the drug problem is not one that can be easily solved, therefore the simple act of legalizing drugs would prove to being effective and the solution requires more analysis. He exclaims that these people are facing living with the consequences of drugs everyday and witnessing the horrid effects of drugs, while concurrently battling against drug use. • 43. Sherman Alexie The Joy Of Reading Academic Blog Post: EJ Goings (9/4/2015) Thinking back on all of the academic posts that we have worked on, I believe that there is some sort of pattern between Villanueva, Mellix, and Alexie stories. All have been able to overcome struggle, face adversity, and strive and maintain excellence in mastering English and literacy skills. Their adversity allowed them to grow internally, allowing their external layer to be polished and perfected. In the Alexie piece, Alexie believed that Indian children were expected to be stupid . (Sherman Alexie, The Joy of Reading and Writing) When a child expectations are low and they are told they will not amount to anything, they begin to believe and process those thoughts. Thus, making it very hard for a child to learn at their own rate. I highly believe that a support system is needed in order to become successful in not only a school system, but life as well. Although some would not see this as a turning point in their lives, this signified that he was on the path of discovering his inner self and beginning to add layers to his life to become a successful ... Now, Zacharias is the author of many Christian s publications, including Jesus among other Gods. The book pointed out many issues by stating questions that skeptics may ask Christianity such as: If God is real, is not He supposed to make our lives wonderful? Is God the source of suffering? When pain and suffering attach people lives, again, because of their brokenness, they hunger for God s solutions. When God does not give them what they want, their emotions take over. People start to ask why He allows it. More than that, they question: is He there? This question has caused incalculable individuals to judge their religion, question their beliefs, and, in some cases, abandon the concept that there s a God. Several reach a conclusion just like this: If there is a caring, almighty God, he would rid of the planet of evil currently. Since he does not, there should not be a God and if there is, he is either not caring or not almighty, either of that makes Him unworthy to our worship. To answer this question, Zacharias points out: the explanation must meet both the intellectual and emotional demands (89). Christianity as a worldview is the only one that accepts the reality of evil and suffering, explains both the cause and the purpose, and offers God given strength to survive it. Evil is real and the source of it is: humanity rebelled against the holy Creator. Because they both suffer and cause suffering, evil seems mysterious to them and they put the blame on God. The only solution is they have to allow God to transform their hearts to bring an end to evil because He already has a plan for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
