1.Introduction:
Economists of all time, either classical, new classical or modern, have never denied the
importance of external trade. International trade have been considered as a back bone of the
economy of any country. The issue of trade and free trade has been at the prime agendas of
economists for over last two centuries. David Ricardo and Adam Smith talked about the importance
of free trade, and given Comparative and Absolute Advantage theories. Free trade or globalization
is a hotly debated phenomenon in the world economic system of 21st century. If the economic
affluence and economic growth of all the nations of the world could be brought at par with each
other by the free flow of goods and services, irrespective of boundaries, under the free trade banner,
then it is a situation for which, every country should struggle for. Bilateral trading arrangements,
although less preferred to multilateral ones, are one of the instruments employed by both developed
and developing countries, to protect their export markets and to guarantee their trading activities in
the future.
A Free Trade Agreement is a legally binding treaty between two or more countries to liberalize
trade, facilitate the flow of trade and investment, and bring about closer economic integration. Free
Trade Agreements (FTAs) are a common type of arrangement between two or more countries, it
allows the partners to give each other privileged market access. FTAs support the free flow of trade

What Is The Theme Of The Poem Stopping By Woods On A Snowy...
Often, a poet uses special intensity through the expression of feelings and ideas by the use of
distinctive style and rhythm. In his poem Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening, Robert

choice between the serenity of the woods and his duties and responsibilities to the village.

On this day, the stranger and the horse come across the woods that the stranger finds intriguing
and finds himself struggling with reality. The stranger begins to question his sanity of
understanding what is right to do considering that he has obligations to the village and he or she
wants to get into the wood to have some enjoyment. However, the horse s bell brings him or her
to reality, and he has to make a decision based on self knowledge of his situation and duties
ahead. The struggle in the poems starts when the stranger stumbles upon the woods on his or her
way to the village. Despite having mixed feelings towards the woods and his obligations to the
society, he clearly knows what he has to do, and that is to go back to his village and serve them.
The woods immediately attracts the stranger, and he knows that the owner of the woods cannot see
him or his horse so he stays to watch (the) woods fill up with snow the woods represents the

Analysis Of The House Of Mirth By Lara Saltz
Selden, in The House of Mirth, is a character that is part of the Elite class, but that doesn t allow
the constraints of the elites shadow his vision. In her essay, Lara Saltz argues Selden is able to
see real, poetic Lily because he possesses both an acute eye for what is materially in front of him
(Saltz 1). She continues on with this thesis, arguing that Selden posses a balance between
realism and imagination, that allows him to see the real Lily, during her performance of Sir
Joshua Reynold s pain, Mrs Lloyd. Evidence in the novel showing that Selden can see past the
illusions of high life, can be seen in Lily realizing that Selden is detached from the social world,
the discussion of love between Lily and Selden and Lily s final confrontation of Selden and
subsequent death. These three pieces of evidence support Saltz s assertion that Selden can see
things for what they really are due to his ability to balance realism and imagination. The first,
being Lily s observation that Selden is detached from the social class. The party, being thrown
by Mrs. Trenor, is the stage in which Lily discovers that Selden is detached from social class.
The entire affair, starts with Lily being asked to help, it seems, to plan the weeding. during this
planning, it is discovered that Mrs. Trenor has scheduled the party in conflict with another
character s own party. They move in this sense, not really caring about who will be offended and
even offer their own view to placate any

Herzberg s Motivation Theory
Motivation is one of the internal essentials of life; in other words simply no one can live without
motivation. Motivation helps all living organism in the process of achieving their goals or targets.
For example all professional athletes target is to be the best at what they do; one factor that
distinguishes between wanting something and actually reaching it is the stimulus that moves the
living organisms to do a certain action in order to reach their target or goal, which also could be
defined as motivation. The second example is about animals where motivation is also an important
factor in their lives. The most probable targets of animals are related to their basic instincts and
their basic needs; as a small example of that is food which... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Eisenhower s statement Motivation is getting people to do what you want them to do because
they want to do it. (Achim, Dragolea, Balan, 2013) Motivation is art; it is also a power that
affects people actions. Indeed not every human being can motivate, but also every human being can
be motivated. In performing such a process in a company; it is favorable for the company to know
the possibilities and ways of reasoning that would work for each employee according to their targets
and parts of interests; then the company would easily desire more and more from those whom they
managed to motivate, moreover this process will always work in the benefit of both companies and
employees. Motivation is one of the most important things that the human resources department in
any company must show a great concern, because through motivation the company could earn more

Shooting An Elephant
The short story Shooting an Elephant by George Orwell is about Orwell s experience with peer
pressure as a sub divisional police officer in Moulmein, Lower Burma. This experience occurred
during the 1930s when the Burmese had a very strong anti European feeling because they did not
want people who are not natives controlling their own country`s domestic and international affairs.
It commenced when the sub inspector at a police station asked him to control an elephant who
wrecked the bazaar, livestock, a house and ate fruit in the city. Its mahout, the only person who can
control it when it was in that state, was a twelve hours` journey away from the elephant because he
went in the wrong direction. The elephant also broke its chain when its... Show more content on

Most of the differences deal with the traits and situations the protagonists faced. One difference
between the peer pressure each of the main characters faced was that Esperanza faced peer
pressure dealing with beauty and sexuality. Another difference between the peer pressure is that
Orwell`s experience involves a death of a creature while Esperanza`s experiences do not mention
death anywhere. The final difference is that in Shooting an Elephant, there was a greater possibility
for Orwell to go to trial but Esperanza can`t since she doesn t know who raped her.
First of all, Esperanza`s experiences dealt with her beauty, physical traits, and sexuality. She
wanted to be cute, have large hips and have a relationship with a boy. Esperanza was also raped
and tricking into kissing and eventually changed her views on boys and men. However, George
Orwell`s experiences dealt with defending himself and the natives. It also dealt with colonialism
and imperialism. In addition, Esperanza is inferred to be in her adolescence and close to adulthood
while Orwell is about 33 years

Impact Of Religion On Greek Theatre
Religion had a very large impact on Greek theatre. Religion was related to many everyday life
tasks in ancient Greece such as festivals, initiations, and oracles. Religion was a very important
subject and was something they used in their everyday lives. This is why, in my opinion ,religion
had a high impact on Greek theatre. The religion of Greek people is an important aspect of the
Greek culture. (Religion in GreeceSource:www.greeka.com) Greek religion was a form of
polytheism, which meant that they believed in many deities. Because religion was not built around

Mediterranean influenced Hellenistic and Roman theatre. The works of such great playwrights as
Sophocles and Aristophanes formed the foundation upon which all modern theatre is

Greek theater is still one of the most important and long lasting theatrical influences in the world,
and with some Greek plays still being performed to this day.
Theatre became important to Greek cultures when it became a part of the festival honoring the god
Dionysus (The god of wine and fertility). ( Greek Mythology in Theater by Bruce Tucker October
27, 2016) The theater festival was founded to bring unity among the Attican tribes.( Greek
Mythology in Theater by Bruce Tucker October 27, 2016) Athens was the main center of these
traditions. Everyone came to sing and dance in hope for a good harvest. At one point, a Greek
named Thespis began to sing praises to the god, with others responding, which led to the actor and
chorus. During the festival everyone would dance and sing in a circle, in the middle of which was
the altar to Dionysus. Over time the festivals started giving thanks to other themes, and eventually
had nothing to do with Dionysus or any god, but began to turn into classical Greek plays. (First

The Ethics of Steroid Use in the Olympics Essay examples
The desire to compete and win is as old as history itself. From the beginnings of sport, athletes
have sought out foods and potions to turn their bodies into winning machines. As early as 776
BCE, the very first Olympic games, there are records of attempts to increase testosterone levels (
Steroid Abuse in Sports ). Ancient Greek wrestlers ate vast amounts of meat to gain muscle mass,
and Norse Berserker warriors took hallucinogenic mushrooms before battle. The first competitive
athletes to be charged for doping, however, were swimmers in 1860s Amsterdam. Doping of all
kinds, from caffeine to cocaine to anabolics quickly spread to other sports ( Anabolic Steroids, a
Brief History ). Artificial testosterone was first synthesized in... Show more content on

Now, athletes can be fined up to $1 million if they test positive for steroids ( Use of Steroids in
Olympic Sports ). The Olympics now have various organizations and committees delegated to
testing for and eliminating the use of performance enhancing drugs. The most recent Olympic
committee for the Games in Vancouver was partnered with the World Anti Doping Agency, the
Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, L Institut national de la recherche scientifique Institut Armand
Frappier, the United States Anti Doping Agency, and LifeLabs to collect and test approximately
2450 blood and urine samples ( Anti Doping Initiatives ). Their meticulousness and commitment
was most definitely justified. Olympic athletes implicitly agree to a social contract of fair
competition. Those athletes who take steroids have an unfair advantage over those who do not, and
therefore these athletes are breaking this social contract. Some argue that Olympic athletes should
perform at their absolute maximum potential, and steroids should be allowed if they assist in
achieving this goal. A counterpoint to this argument is the constant improvement in measured
success , that is Olympic record setting, in spite of the ban on steroids. Fairness is not the only
issue at play. There are

We conducted an analysis using data collected from 140 patients through an online health
assessment questionnaire. All of the participants in study were screened for a risk of them having a
particular disease and were assigned a personalized diagnostic plan based on their risk profile using
an algorithm. The average diagnostic cost came substantially lower than the tests recommended by
usual health preventive checkup plans. This could result in highly judicious utilization of
healthcare resources, money, and participant time without creating any significant compromise in
screening sensitivity.

Compare Sloth And The Sound Of The Night
Would you ever expect someone to compare poems about a sloth and the sounds of the night?
Well, if you haven t then you have a healthy mind, unlike the author of this essay. These two
poems are really different from each other; not by their content but also by their figurative
language and poetic devices. Each of these poems is unique so you never know what to expect
from them. First, let s analyze The Sound of Night by Maxine Kumin. Her poem is 27 lines long,
and it is Iambic. It s title explains the setting of the poem, probably it is set outside in a forest since
the author can hear the sound of the night, which refers to the sounds of animals and insects. The
theme of this poem is that when humans don t understand things they tend to be scared of them.

This poem is a lot shorter and simpler than the former but it doesn t mean that it s a bad poem.
This poem doesn t have a lot of literary devices but has quite a surprising meaning. This poem an
iambic tetrameter with the rhyme scheme of A/A/A/B/B/B/C/C/C/D/D/D. It has three
examples of alliteration, he has (S1L1), have heard (S2L3), and still swaying (S4L3). It contains
an example of assonance on the second line of the first stanza, which is in his . There is a slight
repetition in the end of the poem, stanza four line three if being precise; phrase he knows is
being repeated twice on the same line. There is also an example of imagery, He ll sigh and give
his Branch a Hug; this creates a picture of a sloth hugging a tree branch. Now, are you ready for
the interesting part? This poem is actually talking about a human, not an animal. You can identify
it by the usage of words he and his , not it or it s which would be used when referring to an
animal. So it is just about a lazy person that doesn t want to do anything so the other person,
probably the author, perceives him as a

Pythagoras Is A Bit Of A Mysterious Figure
Pythagoras of Samos is a bit of a mysterious figure. There are many different accounts of his early
and midlife, some of which contradict each other. One thing that is common among all the records
is his mathematical achievements. When it comes to math, he played an extremely large part in the
development of mathematics.
Pythagoras was born in 570 BC in Samos. Most of the information that can be found today about
Pythagoras was written a few centuries after he died in 495 BC. His mother was a native of the
island Pythagoras was born on. His father was a merchant from Tyre. During his early childhood
Pythagoras stayed in Samos, but as he grew older he would accompany his dad on his trading trips.

Odd numbers were thought of as female and even numbers as male. Out of all the numbers
Pythagoras believed that the number ten was the holiest number. He believed this because it
was made up of the first 4 digits, and when arranged in 4 rows of points it made a triangle.
Pythagoras also discovered prime numbers and composite numbers. He also did some research
relating to perfect numbers (the sum of the divisors is equal to the number). The number 6 is an
example of a perfect number. (3+2+1=6) He discovered that 28 was also a perfect number, and his
students later found 496 and 8128 to be perfect numbers as well.
Pythagoras biggest mathematical work was the Pythagorean Theorem. This theorem had already
been discovered by the Babylonians, but Pythagoras was the first to prove that it was correct. This
theorem relates to the three sides of a right triangle. It states that the square of a hypotenuse is equal
to the sum of the squares of the other sides. The formula for this is a^2+b^2=c^2. In this formula
a and b = the two shorter sides of the right triangle. C is equal to the side that is opposite of the
right angle, or the hypotenuse. Pythagoras was also responsible for introducing more rigorous

The Debate On Sex Ethics Essay
Under the topic of sex ethics, the morality of homosexuality is a widely debated and
controversial issue. One side of the debate asserts that homosexual behavior is against God s
will, and is wrong because we are all obligated to do God s will, God s will is expressed in the
Bible, and the Bible forbids homosexual behavior (Craig). This debate is called the traditional
Christian argument. Although the argument is valid, I will argue against the conclusion that
homosexual behavior is not against God s will and is not wrong, because the second and third
premises of the argument are not sound. The second premise of the traditional Christian argument
is unsound because God s will is not expressed in the Bible. Before stating what makes the second
premise unsound, I will consider reasoning one could give in support of it. Among the many
denominations of Christianity, Catholicism is easily able to support the second premise of the
traditional Christian argument from the Vatican s Declaration on Some Questions of Sexual
Ethics . The declaration strongly asserts that moral reasoning is not a human construct, but rather
it comes from God. God is all knowing and all good as his plan for salvation was conceived in
wisdom and love (Pope Paul VI). God delivered Christ to humanity to save humans from evil, and
those who follow Christ will walk in the light of life (PopePaul VI). Christ established the Church,
and the church is the pillar of truth, and transmits the truth of

With Malice Toward None
With Malice Toward None Essay In the history of the United States of America many men have
made contributions to our nation, whether it be small or large. Our founding fathers John Adams,
Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George
Washington helped give birth to our nation by successfully guiding us through a revolution and our
country s infancy. Franklin D Roosevelt led the nation through a war on two fronts eventually
defeating the Axis powers of Nazi Germany and Japan. The list could go on and on about legendary
men that made important contributions to the United Statesof America, however one man that seems
to always come out on top of all these men is none other than our sixteenth president Abraham
Lincoln. This man guided a nation through a Civil War that saw six hundred and twenty thousand
people die. Signed the Emancipation Proclamation declaring that all persons held as slaves
within the rebellious states are, and henceforward shall be free. And gave one of the most famous
speeches in American history with is Gettysburg Address. The amount of things Lincoln
accomplished in his lifetime could go on and on, but one thing is for certain he was one of the

What Is Golf?
Golf is a sport in which a player uses clubs to get a ball into a hole usually a great distance away.
There are not many rules in golf except you can not touch the ball with your hands, unless you hit
it out of bounds and are moving it into play. The only other time you can touch a ball is if you put

yourself you can just see how low of a score you get by yourself then brag to you friends or

to walk the course, in my opinion, it doesn t really matter, whether you walk the course or use a
golf cart as it doesn t really change the game that much.
Best Courses
Pine Valley golf course in New Jersey is famous for being one of the most difficult golf courses in
the world. With a mixture of beautiful scenery and difficulty. Cypress Point, this course is both
difficult and maybe the most beautiful course. Located in pebble beach. This course has water
surrounding almost every hole.
Golf Balls
You might be wondering is the ball really that important to the game. Well yes and no is it helpful
to have a better ball yes it allows for more control and longer shots. The one thing you have to
remember is a ball can t really make your game better or worse only very good golfers can tell the
difference in the balls. So for right now I would say get a medium of the range ball not to

Anglo Saxon Values In Beowulf
Within every culture come certain values and beliefs that signify them. The Anglo Saxons have
prided themselves on their great heroic warriors throughout the years. To be a hero was the greatest
form of respect to them, and to achieve such greatness you need to have bravery, faith, strength and
loyalty. In the story, Beowulf, the great warrior embodies all of the coveted traits of an Anglo

In the poem Beowulf is constantly prided on his physical strength, making him irresistible to
women and a person to envy or look up to for men. During the epic poem we hear of Beowulf
constantly being at top physical stature, an example being him ripping Grendel s arm off bare
handed during their bloody brawl; Clear proof of this could be seen in the hand the hero
displayed high up near the roof: the whole of Grendel s shoulder and arm, his awesome grasp .
This shows that with his physical strength and Gods well doing, he was able to bring the

world s population lived in urban areas. However, currently, half of the world s population has
become urban dwellers (UNCHS, 2002). This shows that urbanization all over the world is
expanding from time to time and the change has vast implication on the living conditions of the
urban society. Due to rapid urbanization, the concentration of people especially, in cities and towns
of developing countries increasingly aggravated the problem of housing.
A large proportion of residents in cities and towns developed as well as developing countries are
tenants (UN HABITAT, 2003).Urbanization has been the dominant demographic trend in the entire
world during the last half century (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/289971629 accessed
30 November 2017). Demographic variables such as population size, growth rates, and growth
levels have major impacts on the demand for urban social and economic infrastructure (Girma,
2004).
The level of urbanization in the world as a whole was about 46.6 percent in 2000, 50.6 percent in
2010 and it is supposed to reach 57.2 percent in 2025. The corresponding figures for African
countries are 36.0 percent,

The Osi And Tcp Model
1.Introduction In this report, the OSI and TCP/IP models will be compared after going through
a brief history and how the models were made. The report will bring the reader a greater
understanding about the OSI and TCP model. The model shows the different layers for example
for the OSI model it has the following layers: Application layer, Presentation layer, Session layer,
Transport layer, Network layer, Data Link layer and Physical layer. The similarities in the TCP
model would be: the Application layer and the Transport layer. This is then compared for the
differences to see which models layer has, that is different to the other. 2.The OSI Model
2.1.Brief History In the late 1970 s, two projects started separately, with the same ambitions: to
characterize a unifying standard for the architecture of networking systems. An individual was
administered by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the other was
undertaken by the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee known as
CCITT. In 1983, these two documents were merged to form a criterion called The Basic
Reference Model for Open Systems Interconnection. This was too long to pronounce, so the
standard is usually referred to as the Open Systems Interconnection Reference Model, or more
commonly known as the OSI Model. The OSI model had two major parts: an abstract model of
networking, called the Basic Reference Model or the seven layer model , and a set of precise

Mma Takedowns
Five Basic MMA Takedowns that Work
One of the most important aspects of a successful MMA toolkit is a fighter s mastery of takedown
techniques. And just like every other part of mixed martial arts, the takedown game is an evolving
one, with fighters continually refining and expanding upon basic techniques. That said, by some
estimates more than eighty percent of all takedowns that occur in MMA utilize just five basic
techniques: the double leg, the single leg, the outside trip, the bodylock and the suplex. We present
those techniques here, in order of popularity, and with brief explanations of each.
1 The Double Leg Takedown

the most popular in mixed martial arts. In fact, by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While in a clutch the opportunity to trip one the opponents legs from the outside, forcing them off
balance and to the mat will often come up without much forethought.
4 The Body Lock
There are many variations to the body lock, some of which employ an outside or inside leg trip.
The move is typically executed by wrapping the opponents body up in a hold, lifting them off or
both of their feet and slamming them to the mat. It can be highly effective either with or without a
trip added.
5 The Suplex
Generally associated with professional wrestling, the suplex is actually quite commonly employed
in traditional and Greco roman wrestling. You can employ the suplex in a variety of ways and from
a variety of holds and positions, including wrapping your opponent up from behind, lifting them off
the mat and slamming them down.
All Takedowns Require Practice and Technique
Like all other aspects of MMA, takedowns require practice and a solid understanding of technique
to execute properly. They all have their strengths, weaknesses, and potential for setup and effective

I glanced over my shoulder at the gas station at the intersection. Over the years I ve made so

I would pretend that it was my boyfriend doing it and then I would think of how I would feel if he
did it. If you would get upset about it, than 10 times out of 10 so would he.
There has to be trust in every important relationship, a relationship won t last if there are doubts on
either end. Always trust that your boyfriend is being honest with you and always be honest with him.
The next thing a long distance relationship needs is communication.
Good communication is a MUST! You and your boyfriend have to have open lines of
communication. If something is bothering one of you, you must tell the other how you are
feeling. If you don t be open the other will never know what you are thinking or if there is a
problem. Unless of course you can read minds.
Just kidding! There shouldn t be secrets kept from one another and if there are open communication
lines, it will avoid any types of problems.
Another aspect of communication that is important is expressing your feelings. If you are missing
your boyfriend a lot one day, tell him. It will make him feel good to know that you are thinking of
him and need him. By expressing your feelings, it will keep the relationship open and honest. And
also add a little excitement for the next time you get to see each

Fiction And One Of The Three Consequences Of Science Fiction
Welcome to the world of science fiction, sometimes known familiarly as SF, but rarely Sci Fi,
which is generally considered to be pejorative by aficionados of the genre, and more appropriate for
films than literature. Science fiction is one of the three subdivisions of fantastic literature, the other
two being fantasy fiction and supernatural horror. Although definitions vary and some individual
works may blur the distinction between one branch and another, most fantastic or speculative
stories and novels can by general consensus be placed in one of the three categories. Science fiction
is the youngest of the three, but since the late 1940s it has been by far the most popular, and the
total number of science fiction titles published in book form presently exceeds that of fantasy and
supernatural fiction combined.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Possibly it is because Americans are so fond of, and dependent upon, technology. Possibly it is
because we found it easier to lose ourselves in a fantastic world that might just be possible rather
than in a magical one that we know is not. It could also be that science fiction embraces such a
wide variety of themes and story types space operas, military adventures, utopias and dystopias,
time travel, alternate universes, alien creatures and civilizations, mysteries, and rationalized psychic
powers. There is something in science fiction for almost any reader s taste, whereas fantasy seems
predominantly designed to satisfy those who enjoy lengthy historical novels set in mythical lands,
perhaps with a touch of magic. The recent surge in the number of new fantasy titles has shown no
evolution of that field, and the vast majority of authors seem content to rewrite stories that have
proved popular in the past. Science fiction readers are more interested in the history of the field,
and the direction in which it is

What Is The Difference Between Classical And Hellenistic Art
When we look back at these two different periods of art sculpture we can see the great difference
between the two stylistic choices of art. Behind each hunk of stone reads perfect anatomy and
certain expressions. One features a more dazed stone face and one gives life for more emotion
made within the stone. The Classical Period and Hellenistic period also look somewhat similar
from a glance are very different in feeling and meaning. The Classical Period started around the 5th
century BC. This period is where artists attempt to capture the human bodyrealistically and create
realistic poses. The most popular subjects were athletic males who are at their peak of their own
fitness. It was not until about 350 BC that there were statues featuring the female body. One very
noteworthy statue of the Classical Period was called Aphrodite of Knidos . The original sculpture
inspired various amounts of copies, but sadly the original itself did not survive. Aphrodite of
Knidos was created by Praxitele and is thought to be the most famous sculptures of Classical
Greece. The sculpture depicts Aphrodite just have taken off her clothes and was about to step
into the bath. She may have had an onlooker and she covered her pelvis from their view. The
Classical Period statues were designed to be a bit more casual, depicting one leg being stretched
forward as the other supports the body and the head tilted to the side. If you look closer at most of
the Classical statues you can see the

How Is Cleopatra Powerful
Cleopatra was born on 69 BC in Alexandria, Egypt. Cleopatra was the daughter of Ptolemy XII,
also known as Auletes, and Cleopatra V Tryphaena, who was believed to be her father s sister.
She was believed to have three sisters, two older and one younger, and two younger brothers.
Many Romans did not think Cleopatra could be a ruler. During that time, females weren t
considered as powerful and important as men. Throughout her life, Cleopatra was able to prove
how powerful she was, and what she was able to accomplish.
To begin with, Cleopatra s family ruled Egypt for about 100 years even before Cleopatra was born.
Cleopatra spoke six different languages including; Arabic, Egyptian, Ethiopic, Greek, Hebrew, and
Latin. Cleopatra s ability to speak several different languages was beneficial throughout her life;
helping her communicate with other people to get what she wants. For instance, Cleopatra could
communicate with Julius Caesar due to her knowledge of Greek. In 51 BC, when Cleopatra s
father died, the Egyptian throne was passed to Cleopatra and her brother. However, around 49
BC, Ptolemy s advisers acted against Cleopatra forcing her to flee Egypt for Syria. Thus, a year

Electric Car Advantages And Disadvantages
Coffman, Makena, Paul Bernstein, and Sherilyn Wee. Electric vehicles revisited: a review of
factors that affect adoption. Transport Reviews, vol. 37, no. 1, (2017): 79 93. This article discusses
the factors that has effected electric car adoption. The main claim the author makes is electric car
adoption is declining through high costs, range anxiety, judgement of peers and consumer
characteristics. The first reason is the cost of owning the electric carvehicle. He uses research
studies that have been done to describe how important cost is when considering adopting the
electric car. Costs must be relatively similar to internal combustion cars. The authors analyzed a
survey where consumers mentioned if they have to pay higher prices over time, they expect a
luxury type of vehicle. The second reason the authors give is driving range and charging time is
another factor electric car adoption is declining. To support this reason, researchers have conducted
more surveys specifically in urban areas, to find out how many people are concerned with the
driving range of an electric vehicle. Most respondents mention how the electric car is a major
disadvantage when it comes to driving range. The third reason has to do with consumer
characteristics. To support this reason, they mentioned several studies showing that consumers with
a high education level correlated with the likelihood of purchasing an electric car vehicle. They also
mentioned through different surveys that were conducted, consumers were most concerned with
utility of the car, not the environmental impact electric cars would have. A fourth reason is
consumers are concerned with social norms and the opinions of others when it comes to owning
an electric vehicle. To support this reason, they also use surveys that ask consumers what they
think of owning an electric car vehicle and what they might think of others owning one. They
believe owning an electric car shows someone s prestige. Through surveys, they discovered people
view electric car vehicle owners as intelligent, responsible people who support the environment. The
fifth reason is raising awareness. To support this reason, surveys were given and it showed that
consumers are not told about the

Representation Of Love In Romeo And Juliet
Love is the profound theme in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.
Shakespeare portrays love as a violent yet ecstatic, overpowering force. The force of love
persuades the thoughts and actions of the characters leading them to drastic measures. Romeo and
Juliet show great devotion to one another despite the trouble it causes. Over the course of the play,
Shakespeare displays the forcefulness and intensity of loveby the abandonment of friends and
family, feud, and death. Both Romeo and Juliet aren t afraid of the consequences of abandoning
their loved ones. Romeo leaves his friends behind in order to be with Juliet. In return, Juliet
would give up her name, and put her family on the line, just to be with Romeo. Juliet expresses
her thoughts aloud as she says, O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father
and refuse thy name! Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I ll no longer be a Capulet

The United Nations (UN s) Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) has been moderately
successful in promoting equality around the world. Its commitment to ensuring the rights of
humans are upheld is admirable, and the easy access document concisely summarised into thirty
articles is immensely helpful. However, its implementation into particular situations is not always
effective. In some situations, the declaration has been astonishingly unsuccessful in promoting
equality, such as its failure to create equality and justice between the white and Indigenous

The declaration s blatant failure in some regards is evident in Australia s era of extreme racial
discrimination against the country s Indigenous population. The declaration did virtually nothing to
enforce the rights of the Aboriginal people; instead, they were forced to resort to protesting against
the government s discriminatory laws and policies. Nevertheless, the declaration has also been
considerably successful in enforcing people s rights, as seen in Yemen s juvenile justice system,
and the part the declaration played in abolishing the death penalty, among other malpractices taking

As a Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the Army, I am charged with the responsibilities of

am setting the right example for all Soldiers, whether in my command or not, to emulate.
Integrity becomes a major factor in my ability to do the things I am charged with. I will not

volumes. If my Soldiers do not trust that I will always try to do the right thing, they won t either.
Since I have been in the military, I have always heard that all Soldiers are a direct reflection of

International trade have been considered as a back bone of the economy of any country. The issue of trade and free trade has been at the prime agendas of economists for over last two centuries. David Ricardo and Adam Smith talked about the importance of free trade, and given Comparative and Absolute Advantage theories. A Free Trade Agreement is a legally binding treaty between two or more countries to liberalize trade, facilitate the flow of trade and investment, and bring about closer economic integration. Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) are a common type of arrangement between two or more countries, it allows the partners to give each other privileged market access. In her essay, Lara Saltz argues Selden is able to see real, poetic Lily because he possesses both an acute eye for what is materially in front of him (Saltz 1). She continues on with this thesis, arguing that Selden posses a balance between realism and imagination, that allows him to see the real Lily, during her performance of Sir Joshua Reynold s pain, Mrs Lloyd. Evidence in the novel showing that Selden can see past the illusions of high life, can be seen in Lily realizing that Selden is detached from the social world, the discussion of love between Lily and Selden and Lily s final confrontation of Selden and subsequent death. These three pieces of evidence support Saltz s assertion that Selden can see things for what they really are due to his ability to balance realism and imagination. It commenced when the sub inspector at a police station asked him to control an elephant who wrecked the bazaar, livestock, a house and ate fruit in the city. Its mahout, the only person who can control it when it was in that state, was a twelve hours` journey away from the elephant because he went in the wrong direction. The final difference is that in Shooting an Elephant, there was a greater possibility for Orwell to go to trial but Esperanza can`t since she doesn t know who raped her. First of all, Esperanza`s experiences dealt with her beauty, physical traits, and sexuality. She wanted to be cute, have large hips and have a relationship with a boy. Esperanza was also raped and tricking into kissing and eventually changed her views on boys and men. However, George Orwell`s experiences dealt with defending himself and the natives. From the beginnings of sport, athletes have sought out foods and potions to turn their bodies into winning machines. As early as 776 BCE, the very first Olympic games, there are records of attempts to increase testosterone levels ( Steroid Abuse in Sports ). Ancient Greek wrestlers ate vast amounts of meat to gain muscle mass, and Norse Berserker warriors took hallucinogenic mushrooms before battle. The first competitive athletes to be charged for doping, however, were swimmers in 1860s Amsterdam. Their meticulousness and commitment was most definitely justified. Olympic athletes implicitly agree to a social contract of fair competition. Those athletes who take steroids have an unfair advantage over those who do not, and therefore these athletes are breaking this social contract. Some argue that Olympic athletes should perform at their absolute maximum potential, and steroids should be allowed if they assist in achieving this goal. A counterpoint to this argument is the constant improvement in measured success , that is Olympic record setting, in spite of the ban on steroids. Fairness is not the only issue at play. All of the participants in study were screened for a risk of them having a particular disease and were assigned a personalized diagnostic plan based on their risk profile using an algorithm. The average diagnostic cost came substantially lower than the tests recommended by usual health preventive checkup plans. This could result in highly judicious utilization of healthcare resources, money, and participant time without creating any significant compromise in screening sensitivity. Well, if you haven t then you have a healthy mind, unlike the author of this essay. Each of these poems is unique so you never know what to expect from them. First, let s analyze The Sound of Night by Maxine Kumin. Her poem is 27 lines long, and it is Iambic. It s title explains the setting of the poem, probably it is set outside in a forest since the author can hear the sound of the night, which refers to the sounds of animals and insects. There are many different accounts of his early and midlife, some of which contradict each other. One thing that is common among all the records is his mathematical achievements. When it comes to math, he played an extremely large part in the development of mathematics. Pythagoras was born in 570 BC in Samos. Most of the information that can be found today about Pythagoras was written a few centuries after he died in 495 BC. His mother was a native of the island Pythagoras was born on. His father was a merchant from Tyre. During his early childhood Pythagoras stayed in Samos, but as he grew older he would accompany his dad on his trading trips. Out of all the numbers Pythagoras believed that the number ten was the holiest number. He believed this because it was made up of the first 4 digits, and when arranged in 4 rows of points it made a triangle. Pythagoras also discovered prime numbers and composite numbers. He also did some research relating to perfect numbers (the sum of the divisors is equal to the number). The number 6 is an example of a perfect number. (3+2+1=6) He discovered that 28 was also a perfect number, and his students later found 496 and 8128 to be perfect numbers as well. Pythagoras biggest mathematical work was the Pythagorean Theorem. This theorem had already been discovered by the Babylonians, but Pythagoras was the first to prove that it was correct. This theorem relates to the three sides of a right triangle. It states that the square of a hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other sides. The formula for this is a^2+b^2=c^2. In this formula a and b = the two shorter sides of the right triangle. C is equal to the side that is opposite of the right angle, or the hypotenuse. • 12. The Debate On Sex Ethics Essay Under the topic of sex ethics, the morality of homosexuality is a widely debated and controversial issue. One side of the debate asserts that homosexual behavior is against God s will, and is wrong because we are all obligated to do God s will, God s will is expressed in the Bible, and the Bible forbids homosexual behavior (Craig). This debate is called the traditional Christian argument. Although the argument is valid, I will argue against the conclusion that homosexual behavior is not against God s will and is not wrong, because the second and third premises of the argument are not sound. The second premise of the traditional Christian argument is unsound because God s will is not expressed in the Bible. Before stating what makes the second premise unsound, I will consider reasoning one could give in support of it. Among the many denominations of Christianity, Catholicism is easily able to support the second premise of the traditional Christian argument from the Vatican s Declaration on Some Questions of Sexual Ethics . The declaration strongly asserts that moral reasoning is not a human construct, but rather it comes from God. God is all knowing and all good as his plan for salvation was conceived in wisdom and love (Pope Paul VI). God delivered Christ to humanity to save humans from evil, and those who follow Christ will walk in the light of life (PopePaul VI). • 20. Factors And Impacts Of Urbanization CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION 1.1.Research Background In both developed and developing countries of the world, urban centers have been an alternative center for human settlement and hence, the rate of urbanization is increasing at the turn of this century. Recent studies indicate that at the beginning of the twentieth century, only 10% of the world s population lived in urban areas. However, currently, half of the world s population has become urban dwellers (UNCHS, 2002). This shows that urbanization all over the world is expanding from time to time and the change has vast implication on the living conditions of the urban society. Due to rapid urbanization, the concentration of people especially, in cities and towns of developing countries increasingly aggravated the problem of housing. A large proportion of residents in cities and towns developed as well as developing countries are tenants (UN HABITAT, 2003).Urbanization has been the dominant demographic trend in the entire world during the last half century (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/289971629 accessed 30 November 2017). Demographic variables such as population size, growth rates, and growth levels have major impacts on the demand for urban social and economic infrastructure (Girma, 2004). The level of urbanization in the world as a whole was about 46.6 percent in 2000, 50.6 percent in 2010 and it is supposed to reach 57.2 percent in 2025. • 30. Fiction And One Of The Three Consequences Of Science Fiction Welcome to the world of science fiction, sometimes known familiarly as SF, but rarely Sci Fi, which is generally considered to be pejorative by aficionados of the genre, and more appropriate for films than literature. Science fiction is one of the three subdivisions of fantastic literature, the other two being fantasy fiction and supernatural horror. Although definitions vary and some individual works may blur the distinction between one branch and another, most fantastic or speculative stories and novels can by general consensus be placed in one of the three categories. Science fiction is the youngest of the three, but since the late 1940s it has been by far the most popular, and the total number of science fiction titles published in book form presently exceeds that of fantasy and supernatural fiction combined.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Possibly it is because Americans are so fond of, and dependent upon, technology. There is something in science fiction for almost any reader s taste, whereas fantasy seems predominantly designed to satisfy those who enjoy lengthy historical novels set in mythical lands, perhaps with a touch of magic. The Classical Period and Hellenistic period also look somewhat similar from a glance are very different in feeling and meaning. The Classical Period started around the 5th century BC. This period is where artists attempt to capture the human bodyrealistically and create realistic poses. The most popular subjects were athletic males who are at their peak of their own fitness. It was not until about 350 BC that there were statues featuring the female body. One very noteworthy statue of the Classical Period was called Aphrodite of Knidos . The original sculpture inspired various amounts of copies, but sadly the original itself did not survive. Aphrodite of Knidos was created by Praxitele and is thought to be the most famous sculptures of Classical Greece. The sculpture depicts Aphrodite just have taken off her clothes and was about to step into the bath. She may have had an onlooker and she covered her pelvis from their view. To begin with, Cleopatra s family ruled Egypt for about 100 years even before Cleopatra was born. Cleopatra spoke six different languages including; Arabic, Egyptian, Ethiopic, Greek, Hebrew, and Latin. Cleopatra s ability to speak several different languages was beneficial throughout her life; helping her communicate with other people to get what she wants. For instance, Cleopatra could communicate with Julius Caesar due to her knowledge of Greek. In 51 BC, when Cleopatra s father died, the Egyptian throne was passed to Cleopatra and her brother. Transport Reviews, vol. 37, no. 1, (2017): 79 93. This article discusses the factors that has effected electric car adoption. The main claim the author makes is electric car adoption is declining through high costs, range anxiety, judgement of peers and consumer characteristics. The first reason is the cost of owning the electric carvehicle. He uses research studies that have been done to describe how important cost is when considering adopting the electric car. Costs must be relatively similar to internal combustion cars. The authors analyzed a survey where consumers mentioned if they have to pay higher prices over time, they expect a luxury type of vehicle. The second reason the authors give is driving range and charging time is another factor electric car adoption is declining. To support this reason, researchers have conducted more surveys specifically in urban areas, to find out how many people are concerned with the driving range of an electric vehicle. Most respondents mention how the electric car is a major disadvantage when it comes to driving range. The third reason has to do with consumer characteristics. To support this reason, they mentioned several studies showing that consumers with a high education level correlated with the likelihood of purchasing an electric car vehicle. They also mentioned through different surveys that were conducted, consumers were most concerned with utility of the car, not the environmental impact electric cars would have. A fourth reason is consumers are concerned with social norms and the opinions of others when it comes to owning an electric vehicle. To support this reason, they also use surveys that ask consumers what they think of owning an electric car vehicle and what they might think of others owning one. They believe owning an electric car shows someone s prestige. Through surveys, they discovered people view electric car vehicle owners as intelligent, responsible people who support the environment. The fifth reason is raising awareness. To support this reason, surveys were given and it showed that consumers are not told about the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In some situations, the declaration has been astonishingly unsuccessful in promoting equality, such as its failure to create equality and justice between the white and Indigenous populations of Australia in the late 1940s to the 1970s.
