On that foundation, we are pursuing one big, overarching goal. We aim to be the world s strongest,
best and best integrated aerospace company for today and tomorrow. Measured against that goal, 2007
stands out as a year of significant and accelerating progress. We achieved record financial
performance, which reflects the potent combination of good top line growth and strong gains in
productivity. Total revenues rose to an all time high of $66.4 billion. For the first time ever, both of
our core businesses Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Boeing Integrated Defense Systems
simultaneously achieved double digit operating margins. Gains in productivity and performance in
existing programs contributed significantly to earnings and helped offset additional investment in key
growth programs. Our cash flow went from strong to even stronger increasing from $7.5 billion in
2006 to $9.6 billion in 2007.
We also had our best year ever in capturing new business and adding to a backlog that now totals
almost one third of a trillion dollars or just about five times our total revenues in 2007. Boeing
Commercial Airplanes had spectacular success in landing 1,423 airplane orders during 2007, reaching

Essay On Figure Board Application
As a child I dreamt of becoming a professional figure skater. My family and I made many sacrifices in
striving to attain this goal. I enrolled in home school and spent many early morning hours on the road
in pursuit of elusive ice time. All through elementary, junior and senior high school I pursued my
dream, but despite my best efforts and the best efforts of my support people, it was not to be. I once
had a favorite coach say to me you don t learn anything through winning but it is through losing that
you learn the most . I learned a lot. In retrospect, the important thing wasn t landing a double axel or
winning a gold medal, but having the ability to set goals, work hard, win with humility and lose with
grace. Setting goals, working ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only did I meet new and exciting people of different backgrounds but I got the chance to explore
subjects I never thought I would. I found that I enjoyed furthering my education. I was pulled in every
direction with all the options available, theater, sociology, and political science just to name a few.
Deciding a career path was very difficult. As my graduation date neared I decided on pursuing a
degree in biology. Growing up in Alaska I loved the outdoors and I thought a career as a biologist
could be exciting. What I m thankful for now is that biology left the door open for me to pursue a
different path. After graduation I began exploring careers in the health field. This would combine my
love of sciences with my desire to be around and help people. Through volunteering and shadowing
different fields I stumbled into occupational therapy. I enjoyed the cognitive aspect of OT. I felt while
the diagnosis might be the same for a patient, their history and personal goals were different or there
were different ways to get to the same place. I enjoyed the direct one on one time spent with patient.

The Paternity Of Maternity Leave Essay
Lately, both mothers and fathers have been requesting more time off of work after their baby has been
born to bond and spend more time with them. Most business work places have not accepted their
request and have made the desired parent of that child to come back to work as quickly as possible,
even if that time spent with their baby is more important. Paternity/Maternity leave is important and
has a tremendous amount of impact on that child and how they will act in the future, which is why that
time after birth should be extended to a set amount of time of one year. Paternity leave is the time that
a father is allowed to be away from work after the birth of his child(Paternity Leave 1). Maternity
leave is the time when a mother is allowed to be away from work after the birth of her child. Both are
equally as important. According to Gretchen Livingston, a researcher at a University, the U.S. is the
only country among 41 nations that does not mandate any paid leave for new parents(Livingston 1).
The United States, not having an exact set time, but the average amount of weeks given to the mother
or father after their baby s birth to spend time with them is 12 weeks, which is also unpaid. Businesses
need to extend the time they give to mothers and fathers after their baby is born. One of the many
problems that comes with the average of 12 weeks of not having enough time to spend with your baby
after birth is that baby then becomes unattached to everyone and often feels

Important Developments in the Humanities During the Early,High and Late Middle Ages
The study of humanities allows us to explore the ways in which the changing concepts of nature and
the individual differ in each historical period and helps us to characterize the important developments
of each period. Examining specific works of the Middle Ages enables us to describe our views of the
changes that occur and helps to explain how and why the concepts evolved the way they did. The
Middle Ages provided a unique chapter in the history of the humanistic tradition.
Early Middle Ages

In the legal and social realm, the Magna Carta was one of the first documents in history to guarantee
rights and freedoms for the common people. The document which is the foundation of our liberties ,
the Magna Carta was truly a remarkable new idea in the beginning of the rise out of the feudal system.
For the first time, subjects of the King were demanding certain rights, which were never even thought
of as rights before this document was drafted in 1215 C.E. Lastly, technology itself was setting the
stage for the dawning of the age of exploration. All of these developments as well as others would set
the stage for man s great awakening out of the Middle Ages and his renaissance soon to come.
Gothic architecture dominated the architectural style of Western Europe for over 400 years. The
Gothic style was not only used in Churches but it also was seen in whole towns. Gothic architects
designed courthouses, hospitals, town halls and royal palaces. It was in its churches where we see the
amazing glorification of God and the intentional subordination of man with the advent of this style.
The transcendental character of medieval religious architecture was given a special form in the Gothic
church. Medieval man considered himself but an imperfect ‘refraction of the Divine Light of God,
Whose temple on earth, according to the text of the dedication ritual, stood for the Heavenly City of

The Graduate Movie Analysis
In the 2015 movies have huge million dollar budgets, Crude humor, and crazy CGI effects compared
to movies from the 60 s. Movies made back in the day were very low budget and was set in a different
society than the one we live in today with anything at the reach of our finger tips The Graduate is an
overall great movie and it is still able to compete with movies from today with its humor from the
view point of a graduated college student in a love triangle with a mother and daughter. However, The
Graduate is a satisfying movie considering how relatable the main character is and how the humor is
different from all the humor in today s movies. Benjamin Braddock is a normal guy that just graduated
from college and has no idea what to do with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In The Graduate, the humor is different. It does not do any of those things; it uses subtle humor that Is
not around much anymore. The viewpoint of a nervous guy being seduced by his parent s friend Mrs.
Robinson makes it interesting. When she first tries to seduce him she comes into the room completely
nude and it could have just shown her straight out in the nude but that would have given it less effect
and made it less funny. In the movie they went to his point of view from the nervous guy anyone
would be in his situation being the nice guy he is looking her in the face and glances at her nude body
and such. The way they portray this in the movie is priceless, it cuts to how he would see her in the
faces then cuts to her bust then cuts back to her face as if he were just glancing at it for a quick
second. It is that subtle point of view in the movie that makes it a good one. At another point in the
movie Ben is at his birthday party testing out his new birthday present a scuba suit. While Ben is
walking out in the suit it shows it from his point of view as if spectator was in the scuba suit, showing
the limited visibility and the ability to not hear a thing. It finally gives Ben his alone time at the
bottom of the pool. This also makes you wonder what everyone at the party is saying around him or
what his father is saying to

Hyperglycemia Research Paper
Hyperglycemia
Hyperglycemia literally means excessive glucose in the blood. It is a disease that is classified as
autoimmune because it is a result of the body attacking its own pancreatic cells which inhibits the
pancreas from producing the proper amount of insulin that the body requires. There are two different
classifications, Type I and Type II. They are diagnosed with these categories depending on whether the
body does not have enough insulin or rejects the insulin produced by the pancreas. Age does not seem
to have a direct correlation with this disease. Patients can be diagnosed as a child or late adulthood, as
it effects all age groups. There are many different signs and symptoms, diagnosing tools, and
treatment options for this condition. There are numerous signs and symptoms that accompany this
disease, although many symptoms do not show until glucose levels are significantly elevated for a
period of time. Some of the early symptoms include headache, increased urination, and blurred vision.

Gestational diabetes only occurs in pregnant woman and it usually dissolves itself after birth.
Although, women that develop gestational hyperglycemia are more likely to develop diabetes later in
life. Type I is caused by an insulin deficiency. It accounts for less than 10% of all diabetic patients.
The term type I diabetes includes insulin dependent diabetes and juvenile onset diabetes. Type II
diabetes is caused by a defect in the secretion of insulin and resistance to insulin and can account for
up to 95% of all diabetic patients. The term type II diabetes refers to non insulin dependent diabetes
and adult onset diabetes. Type II is found mostly in obese patients, or in patients that carry excessive
weight in their abdominal region. This type of diabetes is more often considered genetic than
autoimmune, even though the genetics are extremely

Analyzing Raymond Carver s Popular Mechanics
What is the title of the text and what is the text about?
As the title of the text indicates, Popular Mechanics , This might be a metaphor for how common
many types of marriages ends. It is also widely speculated that this is a reflection of Carver s love life.
He might have a conclusion that marriages fails and end with screaming affliction or it is probably in
relation to the popular mechanics of some relationships. However, the tone of this story is of intense
anger and aggression.Evidently, the narrator is detached from what is happening hereby creating that
mood; the reader s reaction and perception of this story.

The author presented a hostile result of a heated argument and it reflects the misunderstanding of most
couples in terms of staying together and raise their child(ren)
4. Is the evidence valid? How do you know?
It is a valid evidence because most couple with misunderstanding issues experience this whole episode
in the end of their relationship. We can see this also from the author s indicating the approach of
darkness which suggest not only that the couples relationship is ended but that something dark is
going to happen their baby.
5. Is the evidence relevant? How do you know?
Because of the significance of the story s message, I can say that the evidence is relevant to every
struggling couple to educate and caution of the inevitable consequences of domestic conflicts. The
Author is suggesting to the readers via symbolism, of a once healthy relationship between the couple
has been blighted somehow. as we can see from the author s apparent use of lighting that plays a
significant part in the setting of this story.

The Glass Ceiling and the Wage Gap Essay
Women face many obstacles as they climb their career s hierarchy and for many different reasons their
wage is comparably less than that of males. After the movements toward equality in the workplace,
many think that sex discrimination isn t present anymore. However, many still believe that the glass
ceiling hasn t shattered and still possesses a barrier for many women in the labor force. The glass
ceiling and the wage gap exist for various reasons but, like many other women leaders, women can
break the glass and abolish the gap.

Effects Of Parental Addiction On Children
THE EFFECTS PARENTAL ADDICTIONS HAVE ON CHILDREN
Alexis Holcomb
The cost of alcohol and substance abuse in the United States reaches heights of four hundred eighty
four billion dollars per year ( Magnitude ). That s about seven hundred eighty times the amount it cost
to diagnose and treat sexually transmitted diseases in the year 2000 (Chesson). The sole purpose of
this is not to persuade you one way or the other on this topic. Nor is the purpose to apologize for this
social issue. The purpose of this writing is to employ data showing the societal effects parental
addictions have on children, to show how this data has remained relevant in society, and to show how
it is affecting our future members of society.
In this paper, I look at forms of substance abuse and the effects on children. I will be using the
following headings to break down the different issues associated with this social problem: social
causes, phenomenon, and consequences. I hope to educate those that may be ignorant to the situation,
and help to spark a flame that can be used to not be a bystander, but a solution to the problem at hand.
Social Causes
An estimated twenty five percent of youth under eighteen are exposed to familial alcohol abuse
(Bellum). The Illinois Department of Human Services says that nearly six hundred seventy five
thousand children per year suffer serious abuse or neglect as a direct result of substance abuse (
Children ). What makes this a big problem in society?

Similarities and Differences Between Polly and Jessie...
Polly and Jessie Wilson both have many similarities and differences in the book The Secret Lives of
Sgt. John Wilson. First, both of these characters stay dedicated to John Wilson throughout the entire
story, trusting he is always doing the right thing. Second, neither Polly nor Jessie suspect John is doing
anything wrong. Third, Polly and Jessie are both married at a young age, which doesn t give them time
to experience life before dedicating themselves to this man. Fourth, both believe every word of Johns,
without question or second thoughts. In terms of differences, Polly displays forgiveness, while Jessie
displays independence. Polly and Jessie are both very similar people with regards to their naivety,
innocence, and dedication, but quite different in terms of forgiveness and independence. In this
creative non fiction, Polly and Jessie are both depicted as very naïve people. These two women
believe everything that John tells them. When Jessie sister Mary writes letters to Jessie talking about
how she is dying and is extremely happy for Jessie and John, the book even tells the reader The
upright and honorable John Wilson wrote both these letters himself (Simmie 42). This also applies to
the letter from F.M Maxwell, talking about Mary and her passing. Jessie does not bother wondering
why these letters are typed instead of handwritten, proving she believes everything. This leads to the
second similarity, Polly and Jessie believe every lie from John. This is not to say

Hawaii 78 By Israel Kamakawiwo
Hawaii 78 By Israel Kamakawiwo ole: The Tide Is Rising The original version of the song Hawaii 78
was written by four musicians from the group Da Blahlas in Hilo between 1976 and 1978 to shed light
on past injustices inflicted on the indigenous people (Crowley para 3). The central theme of the song
asks the question about how the former reigning King and Queen would react if they saw the Hawaii
of today. The song failed to garner the desired radio air time the authors had wished, but with the
arrival of The Makaha Sons of Niihau things were about to change. From a historical perspective, the
post Vietnam 1970s was a period of great turmoil, protest and rediscovery, but it also marked the
beginnings of a tidal surge in the cultural recognition and restoration of the Hawaiian people.
The music video Hawaii 78 made popular by Israel Kamakawiwo ole serves as the unofficial anthem
for the Hawaiian renaissance movement by focusing on vivid historical imagery coupled with the song
s reflective lyrics to awaken in the audience a sense of urgency to address past transgressions of the
native people. Music can be an incredibly powerful tool to communicate a story or to send a message
to elicit a response by the audience, especially when the artist is so well loved and respected, and this
is where my essay begins.
The song Hawaii 78 was now being performed by The Sons and it was gaining in popularity. But,
since it was first written a few of the original lyrics had

The Classic Era And The Classic And Romantic Eras
The first public music concerts took place in the early 1700s. Before public concerts became more
common, music was mostly performed for monarchs and aristocrats (Burkholder 466). As music
became readily available to the public, composers began writing in a style that was easily understood
by everyone. The period of music that began in 1720 is called the Classic Era. However, as the
political landscape of Europe changed, so did music. Conflicts across the continent forced many
composers to look for work as freelance artists, instead of writing for royal families (Burkholder 592).
Composers began trying to capture the attention of the public by writing pieces with memorable
melodies and strong emotions. By 1820, the Classic Era had transformed into the Romantic Era. The
Classic and Romantic Eras differ in musical style, the use of musical forms, and the design of musical
instruments. One of the main differences between the Classic and Romantic Eras is musical style. In
the Classic Era, composers drew inspiration from ancient Greece and Rome. According to Shannon
Baker Moore, Similar to the simple, classic lines of an ancient Greek temple, composers wanted music
that was balanced, beautiful, and orderly (52). Classic Era music also mirrored the beliefs of
philosophers like Voltaire and Rousseau, who valued logic and reason (Moore 52). A good example of
Classic Era music is Mozart s Piano Concerto No. 21, which is characterized by its light and charming
melodies. In

Statement Of Purpose For Pharmacy
STATEMENT OF INTENT
The future may be uncertain that injects fear into the minds of some people. When it comes to me, I
learn to interpret that the very uncertainty of the future is full of opportunities, for exploration to
discover something I am passionate about. In the beginning, I expected to be a clinical pharmacist at a

and beverage industry has captivated my interest enough for me to pursue a career in it, especially
related to the innovation and development of functional foods.
During my undergraduate studies in the field of pharmacy at the University of Surabaya (UBAYA), I
took a leave of absence for one year (2 semesters) which I requested several weeks before the
orientation week started. I used this authorized break to refresh my mind by traveling to some parts of

business aspects, with the thought that this would be beneficial later. Instead of losing the desire to get

Benefits Of Co-Production In Canada
There is a wide range of benefits that a production company can advantage from when it comes to
small scale production, and/or following a path of co production. It can stretch from communal nature
to having more artistic independency on a project to financial management. The Journals of Knud
Rasmussen, a film made by an Inuit production company presents these advantages. By using this
approach these production companies have more accessibility, and international success. This film acts
as a prime example to why films made in Canada can benefit from small scale production, and co
production.

The smaller crews allow for the rotation of roles, a closer intimate crew, and democratic decision over
the direction of the project. In larger scale production there is higher demands from outside sources,
and this limits the creative freedom of the filmmaker. In Baltruschat s article she says, there has been
an increase in the opportunity of co production due to the demand for new indigenous films, and
television content. It is the new markets for this media that has opened up this opportunity, and the use
of new media in ways of distribution technologies, and sophisticated digital production . These kinds
of productions have an ease of technology, and allows for the distribution to be international. This film
shows the advantage of having a small scale crew unit, because work closely with new media, which
helps with networking in order to gain recognition. As a small scale production the need for specialists
for a particular task is not required, instead the smaller crew works collectively to put it all together.
Although the filmmaker retains majority of the creative decision, the crewmembers having knowledge
of the entire production rather than an individual aspect can contribute with ideas that are best suited

Advantages Of Content Analysis
McQueen and Knussen (2002) are of the view that, there are many techniques available to a researcher
that allow him or her to explore, describe and draw inferences, examine issues and so on. In this
research, the researcher will make use of descriptive research. The descriptive research was employed
because the study was mainly about the qualitative ways of establishing reader perceptions on political
articles by Manheru. The research will not be generalised, data will be gathered from the editor, sub

Content analysis is a method of analyzing written, verbal or visual communication (Cole; 1988).
Content analysis can be a powerful tool for determining authorship. For instance, one technique for

technique. It major benefit comes from the fact that is a systematic, and does not require contact with

descriptive it tends to fail to reveal the underlying motives for the observed pattern thus the need to be

Evidence Law in the Ugandan Jurisdiction
BURDEN OF PROOF AND STANDARD OF PROOF. Under s. 4 of the Uganda Evidence Act,
evidence may be given in any suit or proceeding of the existence or non existence of every fact in
issue and of such other facts as are declared to be relevant. C.D. Field has defined burden of proof as a
metaphorical phrase indicating an obligation to prove a fact or facts. This obligation necessarily
involves the adduction of evidence in an attempt to prove a fact, subject to occasional cases where a
fact can be established without evidence. Towards the end of the Nineteenth Century, Thayer
maintained that the words burden of proof were used in two senses and that there was only one phrase

However, systematic errors affected the experiment the most. The most significant systematic error
was reading off the amount of potassium manganate (VII) used in the titration from the burette. Due to
the deep purple colour of the solution, it was very difficult to read the increments. For both the initial
and final burette readings, readings might have been taken off the top of the meniscus, causing an
overestimation of potassium manganate (VII) needed and thus, the experimental mass of FeSO4 in
one tablet was larger than the manufacturer s claim of 300mg in one tablet.
Additionally, the dissolving method of the iron tablets was a major systematic error. Because we were
just using a glass rod to crush and stir the iron tablets and because of the limited time spent on the
procedure, the iron tablets may not have been completely dissolved in the water. Hence, there would
be less Fe2+ ions in the iron solution and thus, less potassium manganate (VII) would be needed to
reach the end point. Some Fe2+ ions might also have been lost on the filter paper or the beaker whilst
transferring the solution, thus causing less potassium manganate to reach the end point and resulting in
inaccurate measurements and calculations.
Evaluation:
As seen from the relatively small percentage error (1.49%) of my experimental result when compared

Associate Of Arts Reflection
In order to complete the Wayne County Community College District s Associate of Arts degree, I only
need to take a few more classes. During high school, I didn t know what I wanted to pursue but came
to the decision of the Associates of Arts Program based on its general nature. This program allows me
to take particular classes that I desire while still taking required classes. In addition to this, my
appreciation of the arts is a factor in my decision to follow my current degree path. My program also
allows me to possibly pursue other programs, such as a media arts degree if I feel so inclined. Lastly,

For example, most of the required courses I have to take are easily transferable. This is because my
current program is very generalized, only requiring the classes an associates degree demands such as
humanities and science courses. Another example of transitioning to another degree is that I have
control over what electives I take, which allows me to take electives for other degree programs. A
solid example of this is the business classes Wayne County Community College provides, I can now
take a business elective and if I feel that business is for me I could easily switch majors and transfer
most of my credits over. Overall the general nature of this program is only a benefit allowing me to
explore other paths I may be interested in. While I can explore classes to determine what career I may
want to pursue, I still need a degree to pursue most jobs. For example, most well paying jobs require a
degree because a degree displays many desired qualities in a candidate such as dedication and a strong
work ethic. In addition to this certain jobs require a degree so the candidates are knowledgeable about
the field before they start the job. Having a degree in today s world gives one a competitive edge in

Diffraction happens at best when the size of wavelength matches size of aperture. Red lights has the
biggest wavelength of all the colors in electromagnetic force spectrum at roughly 700nm whereas blue
is the smallest one at roughly 400 nm. The red light will have higher diffraction through a certain hole
compared to the blue light. This is why the red dot is made bigger and more blurred compare to the
blue light which did not diffract as much. Together with the fact that our eyes would perceive red light
the most and blue light the least due to their wavelengths, the blue dot made is clearer, smaller and
with better quality. This lead me to the idea that changes in red light will made the biggest effect to

Essay about Psychological Effects of Sexual Assault
Psychological Effects of Sexual Assault
Sexual assault is a term that is used interchangeably with the word rape. The decision on whether or
not to use the term rape or sexual assault is made by a state s jurisdiction. Sexual assault is more
readily used in an attempt to be more gender neutral (National Victim Center). Sexual assault can be
most easily described as forced or unconsentual sexual intercourse. The individual that is performing
these acts on the victim may either be a stranger or an acquaintance. In 1994, 64.2 percent of all rapes
were committed by someone the offender had previously known (Ringel, 1997). Regardless, this type
of crime can have extreme effects on the victim. Sexual assault is a traumatic event ... Show more

This phase is very complex and deals with a lot of issues and emotions. The victim often faces

They also may fear the medical, legal, or social consequences of the crime (CASA House). During this

They often ask themselves why did I go there by myself? or why didn t I fight back harder? During
this phase, the victim may also suffer from mood swings (Bard and Sangrey, 1979, pg. 46). They may

There are four main forms of business structures. The structures of business differentiate based on
liability, tax implications, and what type of business is being evaluated when determining what
structure to use. This paper will cover the advantages and disadvantages within the four types of
business structures; Limited Liability Corporations, Corporations, Partnerships, and Sole
Proprietorships.
Corporations

Partnerships A Partnership is a business form that consists of two or more individuals. There are two
types of partnerships; general and limited. General partners are liable for the full extent of debts and
obligations within the business. Limited partnerships provide individuals with a limitation of
responsibilities in the organization s liability; this type of partnership is dependent upon the
investment percentage. Advantages of partnerships consist of cost efficiency, shared financial
responsibility, complementary skill association, and offer employees partnership incentives.
Disadvantages of partnerships are joint and individual liability, disagreements between partners, and
shared profits ( U.S. Small Business Administration, 2013). Sole Proprietorship
A Sole Proprietorship is one owner. The advantages of a sole proprietorship exist in the simplicity of
taxes, cost efficiency in the startup process, and complete control of the organization. A sole
proprietorship structure is the simplest method of establishing a business, the expenses are low and
fewer licensing is required. A sole proprietor is responsible for the final decisions and directions of the
business. The taxes are reported through the individual at a much lower rate than any of the other
structures. The disadvantages of a sole proprietorship are the personal liability risks and capital; the
individual absorbs all legal implications within the

Maya Angelou Analysis
The Life of Maya Angelou
In the beginning of the sixteenth century, racism was something new that came about and through time
has affected a numerous amount of people in America. Not only has it impacted people s lives, but it
has created a stigma against other cultures. Maya Angelou the author of I Know Why the Caged Bird
Sings recounts what she went through in her life time and how she overcame racism through the
different surroundings she was exposed to, the use of polysyndetons, and the tone throughout the
novel.
To begin with, this story takes place in the 1930 s and 1940 s around the time the Great Depression
and World War II began. Maya the main character in the book, lived in the southern area of Stamps,
Arkansas with her grandmother and brother, Bailey, and uncle. While living in Stamps, the white
people of the town resent the black community and wanted no affiliation with them. The powerless
against the powerful, the poor against the rich, the worker against the worked for and the ragged
against the well dressed. (Angelou 25). The author s purpose for her choice of words was to express
without a filter the degree of racism exactly the way she experienced it in her life time. Maya notices
how in Stamps the black community was seen as second class citizens at best and how the whites
ruled the town. The white people in stamps treated them with very little respect they were judged by
the way they looked, dressed and acted. Around the time the blacks had to sacrifice a lot since the
paying was not so much they had to put so much dedication and hard work into their job and life to
become successful. The theme of racism is common throughout I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
because it displays how it felt to live during a time of segregation and the struggle it provided to prove
one s intelligence, beauty, and independence. The author claims that looks should not define people
and their success in life because no one should be judged by their culture and values.
In addition, Angelou used polysyndetons in I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings to portray how white
people viewed black society. It could all be true that we were dumb and lazy and dirty and unlucky
and worst of all that god himself hated us

naturally refreshing , this will make the audience s body soothing when they put the product on them
because water is a good feeling natural substance. This all proves that the author of the Ad wants other

Rise Of Christianity Essay
Christianity began way back when during the reign of Tiberius, lasting from 14 C.E to 37 C.E. During
this time, a man by the name of Jesus began his teachings and Christianity was born. It was a religion
created by the mass number of followers that Jesus procured through his teachings, the people who
held onto every single of his words. During this time, there was much war and many civil wars
throughout the Roman Empire which had erupted into mass chaos. Zealots were encouraging armed
rebellion and it was then that Christians, or self proclaimed people of this new belief or religion,
believed in what they deemed the Messiah, who according to text, would destroy Roman legions and
bring times of happiness to the world around them (McKay, 168). Paganism was another type of
religion that began around this time as well, for the people who practiced religions outside the well
received Judaism and Christianity. What would be known as synchronistic religions blended together
both Roman and indigenous deities. Statues, temples, and monuments were all built or constructed due
to this belief and there was an ideal that existed in which there was believed to be life after death
(McKay, 168). Jesus played a vital role to Christianity during this time, especially where the Roman
Empire was concerned. According to text, he was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

was from self teaching. His professors, painter Stephen Greene and art historian William Seitz,
introduced Stella to the New York art world. These professors helped to shape Stella s earliest artistic
aesthetic. After graduating Princeton, Stella set up permanent residence in New York. His first
important group showing received almost immediate fame with his Black Paintings. They were a

His early paintings are often credited with the beginning of Minimalism. His Polish Villlage series
later on was an important step toward his pivotal Exotic Bird series. To the Polish Village series, Stella
added paper, felt, and wood to the canvas. Then the Exotic Bird series showed his growing interest in
three dimensionality and dynamic textures. Stella moved from restrained minimalist aesthetic to
exuberant in color and form. His **evolving style combined painting and sculpture. Stella s new form
of art was a striking contrast to his very first series, Black Paintings. He created brightly colored and
multifaceted pieces while continuing his printmaking. He even began including architectural

Cognitive Development (Piaget And Vygotsky) Essay
INTEGRATIVE TERM PAPER
I. Theoretical Perspectives
1. Introduction:
There are a number of theorists that have ideas, charts, and graphs about how a child develops. Many
are used today to determine when a child is mature, when they can feel emotion, and other important
factors to which there are no strict textbook answers for. Piaget and Vygotsky are two theorists that
offer theoretical perspectives on how a child develops.
2. Piaget s Constructivist Theory of Cognitive Development:
Piaget had a phrase that said Assimilation and Accommodation lead to Adaptation. Assimilation is
when a person fits his or her external information in with what he or she already knows. The change is
external in this case. Accommodation is the exact opposite. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Nurture argument, but that is another story. There are major factors that can disrupt the Stage theory or
the Constructivist theory. A person could have a dysfunction or a special need that needs to be dealt
with. For example, is a little boy has a brain dysfunction that disrupts his learning abilities, there is a
high percentage of chance that he will not develop at the same pace and rate as other children in his
generation and environment.
With the Constructivist Theory, a child may not know how to deal with his or her internal emotions
and/or thoughts. If that child does not know how to deal with his or her own internal workings, there is
going to be much difficulty trying to deal with a personal accommodation. The same thing goes with
assimilation. If a child does not know how to deal with his or her external environment, there is going
to be difficulty changing them and dealing with assimilation.
Dealing with the Developmental Theory (Stage Theory), a child may have the same dysfunction and
not be able to move up the ladder of stages. There are those rare cases where a child may be stuck at
one stage, or a child may not develop everything he or she needs to move on.
A. Organizational and Adaptive Processes that Account for Cognitive Development:
The three adaptive processes for cognitive development are assimilation, accommodation, and
equilibrium. These are three agents

Chicago Meatpacking History
History of the Back of the Yards
Running from west Pershing Road, around south Western Avenue, west Garfield Boulevard, and
ending at the intersection with south Halsted Street and west Pershing Road lies the neighborhood,
New City, also known as the Back of the Yards. Canaryville is also another neighborhood that lies
within New City.
The establishment of the Union Stock Yards in 1865 led to the expansion of meatpacking in southside
Chicago. Before private stock yards were created, tavern owners provided land and care for cattle
herds waiting to be sold. With the increasing service of railroads throughout the United States, small
stockyards were created in and around the city of Chicago. Chicago became the largest railroad center
in the world, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This book described the horrifying conditions in the stockyards and meatpacking industry. The story
depicts a young man and woman who have recently immigrated to Chicago from Lithuania. They have
a wedding feast at a bar in Packingown. The couple and some of their relatives go to Chicago for a
better life but Packingtown, the center of the city s meatpacking industry, is dangerous, filthy, and
hard. It was also difficult to find a job. The couple become a hundred dollars in debt to the
saloonkeeper and Jurgis has faith in the American dream that he could just work harder to make more
money. They go through struggles with hard laboring jobs such as digging freight tunnels (which
resulting in him going to the hospital), getting arrested because of attacking a man for not giving him
correct change, he starts to commit crimes such as burglaries and soon gets recruited to work for a
corrupt political boss. His spirit soon gets crushed by misery and wanders into a socialist political rally
which fills Jurgis with inspiration through a speech. He finds a job as a porter at a socialist run hotel
and later reunites with wife. This story is filled with signs of corruption and immorality. A big symbol
in this story was the animals and slaughterhouses of Packingtown which represent the working class.
Just like the animals were killed with impunity, made to suffer and had no choice about their fate, so
were thousands of immigrant workers who lived in poverty. They were forced into capitalism. Waves
of animals pass through Packingtown, just as the generations of immigrants continue to eventually be
replaced by a new

Effectiveness Of The CLAS Literature Review
According to Guerrero (2012), in the past, there were federal and state campaigns that attempted to get
mental health agencies to provide cultural competence in the delivery of their services. However, it
was not until recently that initiatives have been made that require mental health organizations to
provide evidence of the use of cultural competence in their services. Guerrero also states that the
regulation of cultural competence standards was thought to have been poorly monitored prior to the
1990s, and that the regulation of CLAS standards did not begin until the 1990s. For example, the Joint
Commission now requires the use of the CLAS standards in order to get professional accreditation
(Guerrero, 2012). Also, educational institutions use CLAS standards to help with professional training
in working with diverse populations. Professional associations, such as the American Psychological
Association, have regulations that require cultural competence standards be practiced by many of the
graduate programs. In addition, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act mandates that health care and mental
health care organizations who receive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These researchers reviewed programs that served disadvantaged populations in several states (e.g.
Maryland, Massachusetts, Texas, Washington, and Alaska) who were following the CLAS standards.
They found that the organizations were effective in providing services and were able to meet the needs
of the clients being served. They also found that the programs were successful at incorporating the
standards into their existing services. Putsch et al (2003) concluded that the organizations that were
successful at implementing the CLAS standards found innovative ways to integrate them into their
services and programs, however, they did not describe the types of innovations

The Evolution of Photography Essay
When going for a walk, a person takes in the beauty around them. On this particular day, the refulgent
sun is extra bright, making the sky a perfect blue. White, puffy clouds fill the sky, slowing moving at
their own pace. The wind is peacefully calm, making the trees stand tall and proud. There is no
humidity in the air. As this person walks down the road, they see a deer with her two fawns. The
moment is absolutely beautiful. Moments like this happen only once in a great while, making us
wanting to stay in the particular moment forever. Unfortunately, time moves on, but only if there were
some way to capture the day s magnificence. Thanks to Joseph Niépce, we can now capture these
moments and others that take our breath away. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1888, George Eastman made the first light and portable camera under the company name Kodak
(Graham 28). These cameras gave people the ability to take a photo almost anywhere. The cameras
had to be sent back to the factory so the photographs could be printed. Twenty years after Kodak s first
camera, they produced an improved camera, called Brownie . The Brownie was simple to use, making
the art of photography boom. Flash cameras did not appear until the 1930s, letting people take pictures
in areas with dim or little lighting. In 1947, Edwin Land invented the instant camera. Land got the idea
after his daughter asked to see her picture after he took her photo. The next step in improving the
camera was by making it digital, which was done in 1975 by a Kodak employee. As the camera gets
smaller and simpler to use, the quality of the photographs it produces gets better. Photographs are
created from light rays bouncing off objects. When a person looks through the viewfinder, the image
they see are light rays reflected from a penta prism, a specially shaped piece of glass inside the
camera. The rays from the penta prism came from a mirror, which reflected the rays it received from
the lenses. Lenses are used to focus in or out on objects. They attain the rays from the object reflecting
the rays toward the camera. For an image to be captured on a film camera, the button used to take

Nowell died on May 25, 1996, in a San Francisco hotel room, after
shooting up some heroin that was much too potent for his body to
handle. His death occurred seven days after his wedding to Troy
Denkker, who d given birth to their son, Jakob, 11 months before the
release of Sublime, the album that would make his band famous. By
April 1997, a little less than a year after Nowell s OD, Sublime had
entered Billboard s Top 20, and the album s first single, the smooth,
and grooving song What I Got, went to Number 1 on the Modern
Rock chart. And that was only the beginning. Throughout 1997,
Sublime produced hit after hit, and the album has sold more than 2
million copies to date. The big hit was the reggae sounding song
Santeria. Then came the ska, Wrong Way, and finally the dance club
favorite, Doin time, which Nowell constructed around the same
melody another song Summertime. Eighteen months after Nowell s
death, Sublime sold about 40,000 records every week, in November,
MCA released Second Hand Smoke, a collection of early songs.

biggest American rock act of 1997. At Christmas, the acoustic guitars

Code Talkers And Code Talkers
Throughout history, different people are treated with isolation and discrimination. This is shown in our
culture through songs, movies, television shows, and other forms of art in every corner of the world.
For example, the movie and song Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer parallels the oppression of
minorities, specifically with the Code Talkers, in the novel, Code Talkers, by Chester Nez, during
World War II. Since before the beginning of United States history, the people of the United States have
oppressed and repressed the Native Americans that have lived on this land long before them. The lyric,
All of the other reindeer/ used to laugh and call him names/ they never let poor Rudolph/ join in any
reindeer games parallels the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And for the Code Talkers, years and years later, when they could finally discuss the code, Senator Jeff
Bingaman . . . proposed the Honoring the Navajo Code Talkers Act . . . the act called for recognition
for the code talkers (Nez 256). Both saved the day and both oppressor groups were largely grateful for
their sacrifices and for their differences that made it possible. Also, their differences from the rest of
the world were not only unique, but were hard or impossible to obtain. Rudolph the Red Nosed
Reindeer s talent was obviously that he, had a very shiny nose (Autry 6). This is difficult to obtain
because he was born with it, it was not earned by him and it seems that this phenomenon has never
happened before in the North Pole reindeer world. Likewise, pronunciation of even one Navajo word
is nearly impossible for someone not used to hearing the sounds (Nez 91). This talent can be obtained,
but is seemingly impossible to be learned later in life, as the language was so complex it could be
learned only is one began in infancy (Nez 91). That being said, this talent was in high demand because
of the very small percentage of people who could speak Navajo in the United States and the US
Government could not simply take shortcuts in learning the language because they would need to
grow a colony of Navajo speaking children over the span of about eighteen years. Which, was time no
one had.
Regardless of how the other reindeer or the United

  • 4. The Paternity Of Maternity Leave Essay Lately, both mothers and fathers have been requesting more time off of work after their baby has been born to bond and spend more time with them. Most business work places have not accepted their request and have made the desired parent of that child to come back to work as quickly as possible, even if that time spent with their baby is more important. Paternity/Maternity leave is important and has a tremendous amount of impact on that child and how they will act in the future, which is why that time after birth should be extended to a set amount of time of one year. Paternity leave is the time that a father is allowed to be away from work after the birth of his child(Paternity Leave 1). Maternity leave is the time when a mother is allowed to be away from work after the birth of her child. Both are equally as important. According to Gretchen Livingston, a researcher at a University, the U.S. is the only country among 41 nations that does not mandate any paid leave for new parents(Livingston 1). The United States, not having an exact set time, but the average amount of weeks given to the mother or father after their baby s birth to spend time with them is 12 weeks, which is also unpaid. Businesses need to extend the time they give to mothers and fathers after their baby is born. One of the many problems that comes with the average of 12 weeks of not having enough time to spend with your baby after birth is that baby then becomes unattached to everyone and often feels ... That s about seven hundred eighty times the amount it cost to diagnose and treat sexually transmitted diseases in the year 2000 (Chesson). The sole purpose of this is not to persuade you one way or the other on this topic. Nor is the purpose to apologize for this social issue. The purpose of this writing is to employ data showing the societal effects parental addictions have on children, to show how this data has remained relevant in society, and to show how it is affecting our future members of society. In this paper, I look at forms of substance abuse and the effects on children. I will be using the following headings to break down the different issues associated with this social problem: social causes, phenomenon, and consequences. I hope to educate those that may be ignorant to the situation, and help to spark a flame that can be used to not be a bystander, but a solution to the problem at hand. Social Causes An estimated twenty five percent of youth under eighteen are exposed to familial alcohol abuse (Bellum). First, both of these characters stay dedicated to John Wilson throughout the entire story, trusting he is always doing the right thing. Second, neither Polly nor Jessie suspect John is doing anything wrong. Third, Polly and Jessie are both married at a young age, which doesn t give them time to experience life before dedicating themselves to this man. Fourth, both believe every word of Johns, without question or second thoughts. In terms of differences, Polly displays forgiveness, while Jessie displays independence. Polly and Jessie are both very similar people with regards to their naivety, innocence, and dedication, but quite different in terms of forgiveness and independence. In this creative non fiction, Polly and Jessie are both depicted as very naïve people. These two women believe everything that John tells them. When Jessie sister Mary writes letters to Jessie talking about how she is dying and is extremely happy for Jessie and John, the book even tells the reader The upright and honorable John Wilson wrote both these letters himself (Simmie 42). • 14. Hawaii 78 By Israel Kamakawiwo Hawaii 78 By Israel Kamakawiwo ole: The Tide Is Rising The original version of the song Hawaii 78 was written by four musicians from the group Da Blahlas in Hilo between 1976 and 1978 to shed light on past injustices inflicted on the indigenous people (Crowley para 3). The central theme of the song asks the question about how the former reigning King and Queen would react if they saw the Hawaii of today. The song failed to garner the desired radio air time the authors had wished, but with the arrival of The Makaha Sons of Niihau things were about to change. From a historical perspective, the post Vietnam 1970s was a period of great turmoil, protest and rediscovery, but it also marked the beginnings of a tidal surge in the cultural recognition and restoration of the Hawaiian people. The music video Hawaii 78 made popular by Israel Kamakawiwo ole serves as the unofficial anthem for the Hawaiian renaissance movement by focusing on vivid historical imagery coupled with the song s reflective lyrics to awaken in the audience a sense of urgency to address past transgressions of the native people. Music can be an incredibly powerful tool to communicate a story or to send a message to elicit a response by the audience, especially when the artist is so well loved and respected, and this is where my essay begins. • 15. The Classic Era And The Classic And Romantic Eras The first public music concerts took place in the early 1700s. Before public concerts became more common, music was mostly performed for monarchs and aristocrats (Burkholder 466). As music became readily available to the public, composers began writing in a style that was easily understood by everyone. The period of music that began in 1720 is called the Classic Era. However, as the political landscape of Europe changed, so did music. Conflicts across the continent forced many composers to look for work as freelance artists, instead of writing for royal families (Burkholder 592). Composers began trying to capture the attention of the public by writing pieces with memorable melodies and strong emotions. By 1820, the Classic Era had transformed into the Romantic Era. The Classic and Romantic Eras differ in musical style, the use of musical forms, and the design of musical instruments. One of the main differences between the Classic and Romantic Eras is musical style. In the Classic Era, composers drew inspiration from ancient Greece and Rome. According to Shannon Baker Moore, Similar to the simple, classic lines of an ancient Greek temple, composers wanted music that was balanced, beautiful, and orderly (52). Classic Era music also mirrored the beliefs of philosophers like Voltaire and Rousseau, who valued logic and reason (Moore 52). A good example of Classic Era music is Mozart s Piano Concerto No. 21, which is characterized by its light and charming melodies. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this research, the researcher will make use of descriptive research. The descriptive research was employed because the study was mainly about the qualitative ways of establishing reader perceptions on political articles by Manheru. The research will not be generalised, data will be gathered from the editor, sub editor and the readers. Content analysis can be a powerful tool for determining authorship. For instance, one technique for determining authorship is to compile a list of suspected authors and analyse the style of writing and the preferred words in the articles. When used properly content analysis is a powerful data reduction technique. It major benefit comes from the fact that is a systematic, and does not require contact with people, establishing reliability is easy and straight forward. However, content analysis though very descriptive it tends to fail to reveal the underlying motives for the observed pattern thus the need to be combined with other research methods such as interviews and observations, analysis may also be limited by availability of content. The researcher employed this research method to get a better understanding of how the readers of the Nathaniel Manheru column The other side view the political articles in that column and whether they buy into the ideologies presented in the articles or ... Under s. 4 of the Uganda Evidence Act, evidence may be given in any suit or proceeding of the existence or non existence of every fact in issue and of such other facts as are declared to be relevant. C.D. Field has defined burden of proof as a metaphorical phrase indicating an obligation to prove a fact or facts. This obligation necessarily involves the adduction of evidence in an attempt to prove a fact, subject to occasional cases where a fact can be established without evidence. However, systematic errors affected the experiment the most. The most significant systematic error was reading off the amount of potassium manganate (VII) used in the titration from the burette. Due to the deep purple colour of the solution, it was very difficult to read the increments. For both the initial and final burette readings, readings might have been taken off the top of the meniscus, causing an overestimation of potassium manganate (VII) needed and thus, the experimental mass of FeSO4 in one tablet was larger than the manufacturer s claim of 300mg in one tablet. Additionally, the dissolving method of the iron tablets was a major systematic error. Because we were just using a glass rod to crush and stir the iron tablets and because of the limited time spent on the procedure, the iron tablets may not have been completely dissolved in the water. Hence, there would be less Fe2+ ions in the iron solution and thus, less potassium manganate (VII) would be needed to reach the end point. Some Fe2+ ions might also have been lost on the filter paper or the beaker whilst transferring the solution, thus causing less potassium manganate to reach the end point and resulting in inaccurate measurements and calculations. Maya Angelou Analysis The Life of Maya Angelou In the beginning of the sixteenth century, racism was something new that came about and through time has affected a numerous amount of people in America. Not only has it impacted people s lives, but it has created a stigma against other cultures. Maya Angelou the author of I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings recounts what she went through in her life time and how she overcame racism through the different surroundings she was exposed to, the use of polysyndetons, and the tone throughout the novel. To begin with, this story takes place in the 1930 s and 1940 s around the time the Great Depression and World War II began. Maya the main character in the book, lived in the southern area of Stamps, Arkansas with her grandmother and brother, Bailey, and uncle. While living in Stamps, the white people of the town resent the black community and wanted no affiliation with them. The powerless against the powerful, the poor against the rich, the worker against the worked for and the ragged against the well dressed. (Angelou 25). The author s purpose for her choice of words was to express without a filter the degree of racism exactly the way she experienced it in her life time. Maya notices how in Stamps the black community was seen as second class citizens at best and how the whites ruled the town. The white people in stamps treated them with very little respect they were judged by the way they looked, dressed and acted. Around the time the blacks had to sacrifice a lot since the paying was not so much they had to put so much dedication and hard work into their job and life to become successful. The theme of racism is common throughout I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings because it displays how it felt to live during a time of segregation and the struggle it provided to prove one s intelligence, beauty, and independence. The author claims that looks should not define people and their success in life because no one should be judged by their culture and values. In addition, Angelou used polysyndetons in I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings to portray how white people viewed black society. • 38. Rise Of Christianity Essay Christianity began way back when during the reign of Tiberius, lasting from 14 C.E to 37 C.E. During this time, a man by the name of Jesus began his teachings and Christianity was born. It was a religion created by the mass number of followers that Jesus procured through his teachings, the people who held onto every single of his words. During this time, there was much war and many civil wars throughout the Roman Empire which had erupted into mass chaos. Zealots were encouraging armed rebellion and it was then that Christians, or self proclaimed people of this new belief or religion, believed in what they deemed the Messiah, who according to text, would destroy Roman legions and bring times of happiness to the world around them (McKay, 168). Paganism was another type of religion that began around this time as well, for the people who practiced religions outside the well received Judaism and Christianity. What would be known as synchronistic religions blended together both Roman and indigenous deities. Statues, temples, and monuments were all built or constructed due to this belief and there was an ideal that existed in which there was believed to be life after death (McKay, 168). Introduction: There are a number of theorists that have ideas, charts, and graphs about how a child develops. Many are used today to determine when a child is mature, when they can feel emotion, and other important factors to which there are no strict textbook answers for. Piaget and Vygotsky are two theorists that offer theoretical perspectives on how a child develops. 2. Piaget s Constructivist Theory of Cognitive Development: Piaget had a phrase that said Assimilation and Accommodation lead to Adaptation. A person could have a dysfunction or a special need that needs to be dealt with. For example, is a little boy has a brain dysfunction that disrupts his learning abilities, there is a high percentage of chance that he will not develop at the same pace and rate as other children in his generation and environment. With the Constructivist Theory, a child may not know how to deal with his or her internal emotions and/or thoughts. If that child does not know how to deal with his or her own internal workings, there is going to be much difficulty trying to deal with a personal accommodation. The same thing goes with assimilation. If a child does not know how to deal with his or her external environment, there is going to be difficulty changing them and dealing with assimilation. Dealing with the Developmental Theory (Stage Theory), a child may have the same dysfunction and not be able to move up the ladder of stages. There are those rare cases where a child may be stuck at one stage, or a child may not develop everything he or she needs to move on. A. • 43. Effectiveness Of The CLAS Literature Review According to Guerrero (2012), in the past, there were federal and state campaigns that attempted to get mental health agencies to provide cultural competence in the delivery of their services. However, it was not until recently that initiatives have been made that require mental health organizations to provide evidence of the use of cultural competence in their services. Guerrero also states that the regulation of cultural competence standards was thought to have been poorly monitored prior to the 1990s, and that the regulation of CLAS standards did not begin until the 1990s. For example, the Joint Commission now requires the use of the CLAS standards in order to get professional accreditation (Guerrero, 2012). Also, educational institutions use CLAS standards to help with professional training in working with diverse populations. Professional associations, such as the American Psychological Association, have regulations that require cultural competence standards be practiced by many of the graduate programs. These cameras gave people the ability to take a photo almost anywhere. The cameras had to be sent back to the factory so the photographs could be printed. Twenty years after Kodak s first camera, they produced an improved camera, called Brownie . The Brownie was simple to use, making the art of photography boom. Flash cameras did not appear until the 1930s, letting people take pictures in areas with dim or little lighting. In 1947, Edwin Land invented the instant camera. Land got the idea after his daughter asked to see her picture after he took her photo. The next step in improving the camera was by making it digital, which was done in 1975 by a Kodak employee. As the camera gets smaller and simpler to use, the quality of the photographs it produces gets better. Photographs are created from light rays bouncing off objects. When a person looks through the viewfinder, the image they see are light rays reflected from a penta prism, a specially shaped piece of glass inside the camera. The rays from the penta prism came from a mirror, which reflected the rays it received from the lenses. Lenses are used to focus in or out on objects. This is shown in our culture through songs, movies, television shows, and other forms of art in every corner of the world. For example, the movie and song Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer parallels the oppression of minorities, specifically with the Code Talkers, in the novel, Code Talkers, by Chester Nez, during World War II. Since before the beginning of United States history, the people of the United States have oppressed and repressed the Native Americans that have lived on this land long before them. Both saved the day and both oppressor groups were largely grateful for their sacrifices and for their differences that made it possible. Also, their differences from the rest of the world were not only unique, but were hard or impossible to obtain. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer s talent was obviously that he, had a very shiny nose (Autry 6). This is difficult to obtain because he was born with it, it was not earned by him and it seems that this phenomenon has never happened before in the North Pole reindeer world. Likewise, pronunciation of even one Navajo word is nearly impossible for someone not used to hearing the sounds (Nez 91). This talent can be obtained, but is seemingly impossible to be learned later in life, as the language was so complex it could be learned only is one began in infancy (Nez 91). That being said, this talent was in high demand because of the very small percentage of people who could speak Navajo in the United States and the US Government could not simply take shortcuts in learning the language because they would need to grow a colony of Navajo speaking children over the span of about eighteen years.
