Napoleon was not only a great leader, but also a great commander who like Alexander the Great
mastered generalship and all that implies. His ability to win tactical engagements against his enemies
by effectively utilizing all the principles of war in his battles has had an influence on future
commanders and the way they approach warfare. The Battle of Austerlitz or the Battle of the Three
Emperors did two things: It brought an end to the Third Coalition and established the creation of the
French Empire under Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. Victory at Austerlitz was a tactical success for
Napoleon. Therefore, during the Battle of Austerlitz Napoleon utilized all the Principles of War

Research Mini Golf
The introduction
The main subject of this hospitality research project is entrepreneurship. This subject was chosen for
several reasons: both the authors would like to set up a business in future, they have the ambition to
have a company of their own, they like to manage, and use creativity to come up with an original
concept. To narrow the subject down one specific subject is chosen. Moreover, the concept of starting
a mini golf* company in Elim, Drenthe was selected. The reason for choosing this specific subject is
that one of the authors lives with her parents in a big farm which has a lot of land. However, this space

Therefore, I made the decision of splitting the story into two posters that could work as part of the
same marketing campaign whose main goal is to show the deep contrasts between life in COIN and
life on the surface.
The first motion poster is focused on scenes 1 and 2 of the storyboard. In scene 1, the dome that
covers an atomic reactor crashes and the radiation spreads rapidly. The dome rotates as a way of
transitioning to the next scene where the audience, in contrast, can appreciate the magnificence of a
whale swimming near one of the underwater settlements while shinning sunbeams are filtered through
the sea surface. The main goal of this piece is, therefore, to show the deterioration of the environment
and the danger of radiation on the surface in opposition to the peaceful life in the Oceanic cities where
nature is still a top priority.
The second poster is a combination of scenes 3, 4, 5 and 6. In the first part, we can see a dark tunnel
with graffities on its walls and the wheel of a bike with a U lock on the bottom right corner. Suddenly,
the streetlight starts to flicker and a threatening shadow is reflected on the right side of the screen. The
tunnel, which has the same dome shape that appeared in the previous motion poster, rotates once again
to show the following sequence. In this sequence, we can see a woman s hand holding a CMIST card

On the Development of Quantum Computers and Cryptography
On the Development of Quantum Computers and Cryptography
In 2010, the United States government, after accessing encrypted files by means of physical
intervention, exposed ten Russian sleeper agents; in 2013, the United States government, without any
means of physical intervention, surreptitiously collected and promptly decrypted many previously
encrypted (Wood). Within this decade, concerns regarding the dubious security of contemporary
cryptography will begin to emerge as the secrets of quantum computing quickly unravel. Companies
that rely on Moore s law, which asserts that computing power doubles every eighteen months, to
justify using the theoretically weak cryptography scheme known as RSA will succumb to the risks

These individuals cite a three qubit impasse, which states that because quantum computers have not
become more complex than three qubits, they will not become more complex than three qubits. From
the start of serious research in 2001 up until recently, this argument had remained tenable. But, the
human endeavor to create technological advancements would not relent. This drive proved itself as
successful in 2012, when D Wave Systems, a quantum computing company founded in 1999,
announced that their work on a 512 qubit quantum computer had concluded. D Wave then went on to
state that they would computer would reveal the computer later that year, albeit with a limited range of
abilities. Since then, companies such as Google and the National Aeronautics and Space Association
(NASA) have begun to work in conjunction with D Wave to improve upon their prototype and apply
them to calculations to discover new potential. Nevertheless, dogmatic advocates for RSA hold the
proposition that their point still stands as these do not count as full fledged quantum computers. With
the progression of time, the development of quantum computers will do as it has already done once
and relegate the power of the three qubit impasse to a continually smaller role.
While RSA performs its final show, a new system débuts. Praised by some as unbreakable, they call
the method Quantum Key Distribution, (QKD) and in it lies

The Use Of Anesthetic And The Method
1.1 Anesthetics are used in surgeries to give a patient the ease of undergoing procedures without the
feeling of any pain. The patient themselves undergoes a loss of consciousness when administered with
anesthetic, and the extent of which, whether the patient is conscious or not, is dependent on the type of
anesthetic and the method.
There is a local anesthetic, which is used to numb a specific part of the body, by inserting the
anesthetic drug into the surrounding area of where a medical procedure is going to be carried out. For
example, in dental procedures, whereby which a patient is having a tooth extracted, they will be
administered with a local anesthetic, where the medication is inserted into the surrounding area, in this
case the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
1.3 Neuraxial anesthesia is a form of regional anesthesia, which is a highly used and effective method
of producing an analgesic effect, along with neuromuscular paralysis to allow surgical conditions to be
at its most favorable to carry out painless surgeries. Some of the most common neuraxial/regional
anesthetics are known as an epidural or spinal anesthetic. An excellent pre operative analgesic is
characterized to minimize any stress, which could be resulted from the surgery, as well as to protect
the myocardium, and limit any neuroendocrine effects. The way in which this anesthetic works, is
through the injection of the anesthetic medication into the spine, more specifically into the fatty tissue
which surrounds the nerve roots. Spinal anesthesia is the injection of the anesthetic into the
cerebrospinal fluid, which surrounds the spinal cord. This insertion of anesthesia into these particular
places causes a numbing in the patient, which begins from the abdomen straight through to the toes
and therefore eliminates the need for a general anesthesia.
Regional/neuraxial anesthesia is provided quite usually as an epidural during childbirth and labor for
women who can chose to request or deny it. It is also quite commonly used after surgeries, where
there is an ongoing pain, usually for surgeries associated with the lungs or lower extremities. It
relieves the patient of any after pain. The initial injection of the regional anesthetic is performed whilst

The Roller Coaster Of Roller Coasters
Since humans were created, we have always searched for some kind of thrill and excitement. Once
man was tired of playing with something as dangerous as fire, he decided to move on to more
dangerous things, thus, the roller coaster was born. From sliding down rocky mountains, to the huge
steel coasters we have today. Roller coasters have evolved, and will continue to evolve alongside
humans. The way roller coasters are made, the safety of the roller coasters and the popularity of them
are just a few things that make up the history of these magnificent gifts to man. Coaster history has its
ups, downs and loop di loops, all that bring us to where we are today.

The ride was constructed by LaMarcus A. Thompson and was the first Gravity Switchback Railway.
This particular coaster attracted many people and brought tons of business to Coney Island. (Benson
2012. AceOnline.org). From here the roller coaster business only went up. By the 1920 s, roller
coasters were extremely popular. Nearly 2,000 coasters were built! Sadly, there are not many, if any of
these coasters still standing. According to the most recent census there are close to 750 coasters in the
United States alone! There are around 4,500 total in the whole world (Johnson 2016.rcdb.com). The
growth of roller coasters continue to expand as more resources become available and inventors
become more creative.
Back in the 1990s, roller coasters were primarily made out of wood with small bits of steel and metals.
Wood was much cheaper and easier to use.(Schaefer 2004 Roller Coasters). This put a limit on how
coasters could be designed so the majority of them around the united states were extremely similar.
The safety of rider s was not much of a concern back in those days. There were many deaths back in
the 1900 s simply because most of the coasters had faulty designs, safety, or were improperly built.
(McGill 2001. Ultimaterollercoasters.com), The amount of deaths that were caused because of the
negligence is exactly why roller coasters had to change to fit the times and safety resources.
Today, the safety

Redox reaction.
The procedure for producing EMF in an electrochemical cell is due to an internal chemical reaction
which is the redox reaction this is a reaction that involves electrons being transferred from the
reducing agent to the oxidizing agent.
The reaction is between the electrolyte and negative electrode which will create a buildup of free
electrons, each of which has a negative charge at the anode of the battery which is the negative
terminal.
The chemical reaction which occurs between the electrolyte and the positive electrode internally in the
battery then produces a buildup of positive ions, which are atoms that are missing electrons. The

Angels Essay
Angels
An angel is a pure spirit created by God. The Old Testament theology included the belief in angels: the
name applied to certain spiritual beings or intelligences of heavenly residence, employed by God as
the ministers of His will.
HISTORY
Are Angels ambassadors sent from God to guide us, protect us or bring messages from heaven? The
word angel comes from the Greek word angelos which means messenger. The Bible says that God has
appointed many angels to those who love God and call to Him, Psalms 91:11 For He shall give His

social development. Needless to say, the connotation of the legal entity system is very rich, and that
the company has an independent personality and shareholders bear the limited liability is the two basic
features (Tweedale, G., Flynn, L., 2007). Of course, the company s independent personality is based
on the separation of corporate property and shareholder property. Under this circumstance, the
company shall enjoy their rights, fulfil obligations, and independently bear civil liability in its own
name (L.C.B., 1992). However, with the development of commodity economy, and the deepening and

3.1.1 Fraud or misrepresentation Fraud or misrepresentation is one of the most frequent factors in
piercing the corporate veil. Fraud is a deliberate concealment of the truth and a false statement leading
the other party to engage in certain acts and causing loss or injury, which can be seen in the case
GILFORD MOTOR Co. v HORNE Ltd. (1933) . Fraud includes civil fraud and criminal fraud, and
fraud is often associated with misrepresentation. Inaccurate statements in the litigation of piercing the
corporate veil generally include misrepresentation of the company s assets and financial conditions, as
well as misrepresentations of paying to the parties. Professor Thompson is of the opinion that when
the act is found to be fraud by the court, the act is often used as evidence to support the
misrepresentation if the fraud claim cannot be substantiated (Hodge, L., Sachs, A., 2008). 3.1.2
Shareholders control and domination In order to pierce the company veil, the plaintiff needs not only
to prove the domination and control behaviour, but also to prove that there is fraud or abuse unfair
form of corporate. In order to pierce the company veil, that shareholders only control/dominate the
company is not enough, and there must be fraud or misrepresentation evidence. In this regard, the
standard of piercing the veil of the company is also particularly stringent. If there is only the fact that

get to attend school for they will not have an investment into their education and will ultimately have
less drive to do well. Now if we add both the fact that the education quality will decrease and there is
no drive to do well anymore college education is not worth attending. People who actually have to pay
to go to the same school because their parents are doing well and making money are now getting a
worse education because the college they pay to go to doesn t have enough money to give them the
education they deserve. By doing this we as a nation are promoting a generation of lazy people.
Meaning that when someone must pay for something they want, if they want an education one must
pay for it.

The Third Person Point Of View In The Lottery By Shirley...
The third person limited point of view of The Lottery, by Shirley Jackson, strengthens the short story
by its suspense, its characterization, and its ordinary setting. The third person limited point of view
creates suspense because it foreshadows but does not disclose the surprise ending. For example, the
narrator describes most of the townspeople as being quiet, wetting their lips, not looking around, but
he does not explain their rationale. By quotations and descriptions of actions, the third person limited
point of view depicts in a controlled manner the story s important characters. Davy represents those
who do not understand the lottery. Davy put his hand into the box and laughed. Mrs. Delacroix
represents those who think of the

The Physics Of Quantum Mechanics
Quantum Mechanics is a branch of physics that explains the really small things. These really small
things, such as electrons are studied in an attempt to find out how they behave under certain
conditions. Findings from the studies are then used to explain how the small particles make up and
relate to the bigger parts of the world. Without the discovery of quantum mechanics, the behavior of
small things and how they make up everything would be unknown. Plank sparked the discovered
Quantum mechanics when doing an experiment using heat and light to produce ultra violet radiation.
What Plank discovered is that light was not constant and could actually be considered particles. Planks
discovery brought about the question of whether small things act like a particle or a wave. This
question was tested in the double slit experiment. It was discovered that electrons act as a wave and
act as a particle. Plank applied his ideas and developed an equation that is used to describe light as a
quanta and not a continuous wave. Plank s equation contained a number today known as Plank s
constant, which is used in many equations involving wavelengths. Quantum mechanics deals with two
principles. The uncertainty principle explains that as an electrons position is more precise the less
accurate speed can be calculated and the more precise speed is known the less precise the location.
The second principle is the correspondence principle and this states that when the classical theory is

Dyslexia Effect
A student is in school and the teachers have noticed a student who is struggling. They see that the
student can t read or solve problems as fast or easily as the other students. At home the student s
parents are pushing him to do better even after he says he s doing his best. The teachers then decide to
test him and it s discovered that he has dyslexia. Now the teaches and the parents know that he is
doing his best and just needs a little help, so they get him the help he needs and his grades start to
improve along with his mood. As most individuals know, dyslexia is a learning disability that affects
the brain and the most commonly is known to make those who have dyslexia see words backwards.
This is true but isn t the whole truth about dyslexia. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The word is made up of two parts, dys meaning not or difficult, and lexia meaning words, reading, or
language. So dyslexia really does mean trouble with words. The most common misunderstandings
about dyslexia is the problem of a letter or word reversals or of letters, words, or sentences dancing
around . It s common in the early stages for writing and reading letters and words backwards and the
reversals of words may or may not indicate an underlying reading problem.Dyslexia is not caused by
poverty, developmental delay, speech or hearing impairments, or learning a second language but will
put a child at more at risk for developing a reading disability. There is two obvious signs a child will
often show. The first sign is they will not be able to read as many of the words in a text by sight as
most average kids are able to. There may be many words they stumble, guess at, or attempt to sound
out. The second sign is they may often show decoding difficulties. This means their attempts to
identify words they do not know will produce many errors and will not be very accurate in using letter
sound relationships in combination with context to identify unknown words. It makes it very difficult
for readers to connect letters and sounds in order to decode. Those with dyslexia will have trouble
comprehending what they read and trouble processing the words on the page. It s common in the early
stages of learning to read and write

1.Introduction In 1965, Zadeh.L.A[16] introduced the study of fuzzy sets. Mathematically a fuzzy set
on a set X is a mapping µ into [0, 1] of real numbers; for x in X, µ(x) is called the membership of x
belonging to X. The membership function gives only an approximation for belonging but it does not
give any information of not belonging. To overcome this, Gau.W.L and Buehrer.D.J[7] introduced the
concept of vague sets. A vague set A of a set X is a pair of functions (tA,fA), where tA and fA are
fuzzy sets on X satisfying tA(x)+fA(x)≤1, ∀ x ∈ X. A fuzzy set tA of X

Essay about William Shakespeare s Measure for Measure
William Shakespeare s Measure for Measure
The desires of the characters in Shakespeare s Measure For Measure are not entirely clear, and are
made ambivalent and ambiguous by the use of their language. Particularly in 3.1.52 153, when
Isabella visits Claudio in prison, ambiguous lines and puns make it unclear whether Isabella desires
Claudio s death and whether he truly desires to be free of sin. These desires were further convoluted
by viewing the current Folger Theatre production of the play.
Trade (151) is one pun which illuminates ideas about Claudio s desires. Taken to mean an exchange,
Isabella insinuates that Claudio s sin and death are like the title of the play, a measure taken for a
measure, or rather a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If Claudio is willing to be wed to evil, then he would have no qualms about his sister doing the same,
or at the very least fornicating with Angelo for his devilish mercy (63). This possibility is bolstered by
Claudio s shift in tone and possible lack of concern for his sister s soul when he begs Sweet sister, let
me live (134), and attempts to justify the consequences by appealing to her good nature, calling her sin
a potential virtue.
However, this desire to live also stems from a desire for certainty, which he fears he cannot have in
death, expressed in lines 118 132. Much like the ambivalence and ambiguity of other lines in this
scene, this passage expresses several simultaneous possibilities for the afterlife. In a somewhat
Ovidian fashion, the sensible warm motion morphs paradoxically into places with both fiery floods
and thick ribbed ice. Comparing the uncertainty of death to known suffering in life reaffirms Claudio s
desire to live.
Another aspect of desire that is illuminated in this scene is desire as it relates to the relationship
between Isabella and Claudio as siblings. Most notably is her comment at line 140 that it may be a
kind of incest to take life / From thine own sister s shame. Incestuous desire opposes Isabella s desire
that Claudio be like their father, whom she seems

Current Liabilities And Long Term Liabilities
What is a current liability? From the perspective of a user of financial statements, why do you believe
current liabilities are separated from long term liabilities? Based on your current experience as well as
any additional research you may have done, provide two examples of situations where businesses
collect monies from customers and employees and report these amounts as a current liability. Current
liabilities are obligations that must be settled within 1 year or the operating cycle, whichever is longer
and are usually satisfied by transferring a current asset. (). It includes accounts payable; short term
notes payable, income tax payable, accrued expenses, and portion on long term debt payable. Long
term liabilities are different from current liabilities because it is not due within one year of the balance
sheet. Some of the examples of long term liabilities are bonds payable, long term loans, capital leases,
pension liabilities, postretirement healthcare liabilities, deferred compensation, deferred revenues,
deferred income taxes, and derivative liabilities. It is important to keep current liabilities separate from
long term liabilities in order to get an accurate view of your current asset and to keep track of which
liabilities should be accomplish first. Knowing which liabilities are due with a year and the amount of
assets turning to cash within one year are import to lenders, financial analysts, owners, and executives

Ocean Acidification Is Destroying Our Environment

Essay Writing A

Ocean Acidification:
How the Ocean s Declining pH is Destroying Our Environment
Sometimes called climate change s equivalently destructive twin , ocean acidification is becoming
more and more noticeable as the seawater s changing chemistry begins to cause environmental and
economical problems. When the Industrial Revolution began around 1760, fossil fuel powered
machines gained an immense amount of accessibility and popularity. Since then, carbon dioxide
(CO2) levels in the atmosphere have risen enough to change the pH of the world s oceans. Given that
the ocean absorbs almost half of the CO2 that is released into our atmosphere, ocean acidification is
inclining into an even greater problem as fossil fuels become a more common energy source in our
society. Higher acid levels can harm wildlife, disrupt the food chain, and negatively impact industries
that rely on the ocean for business. Ocean acidification is causing growing dilemmas for both marine
ecosystems and ocean based economies. Although many companies and organizations are attempting
to fix this problem, acidification is still threatening to cause increasingly harmful issues for the future.
Ocean acidification is the constant increase of acidity in the Earth s oceans, caused by the unceasingly
rising levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Anthropogenic CO2 is mainly emitted by the
burning of fossil fuels, including coal, oil, and natural gas. Since the

Boy s Murders In The Film Paradise Lost
The film Paradise Lost documents the case of the deaths of three West Memphis children, as three
teenage boys are put on trial for the speculation of their murders. Jessie Misskelley Jr., Damien
Echols, and Jason Baldwin are the suspects in question. The three second grade boys were found to
have been choked, raped, and sexually mutilated before their murders. Sources in West Memphis
report that Misskelley, Echols, and Baldwin are worshippers of Satan and the murders were committed
as a ritual act to praise Satan. West Memphis is a highly religious town, and the majority of its
members attend church regularly and live their daily lives according to Christian values. At the end of

Members of the community thought the boys to being worshippers of Satan because of their apparent
taste for wearing black and listening to heavy suggestive music like Metallica. In this community that
was noted to be outlier behavior, since the majority of the members lived conservative, Christian
lifestyles. Since the teenagers expressed different interests than the majority of the community they
were an easy pick for the suspects of the killings. Even Damien Echols stated that they were the
obvious choice, because they already stood out from the rest. The minority attacking the majority is
called a centripetal attack. This upward attack is directed from the margins to the center meaning the
minority attack is directed towards the majority. This attracts centrifugal law which works against the
minority attackers. Centrifugal law is greater than the opposite, centripetal law, so it is considered
more serious for the margin to commit crimes against the socially integrated. This goes along with the
idea that the unconventionality of the boys allowed them to be targets and therefore subject to more
law against them. The lifestyle of these boys was seen as unconventional considering the environment
where they lived. As mentioned before, the people of West Memphis are God loving people who put
faith above all else in their daily lives. The way these

The Domestication of the Last Frontier Essay
The Domestication of the Last Frontier
In 1865 the frontier line generally followed the western limits of the states bordering the Mississippi
River, bulging outward to include the eastern sections of Kansas and Nebraska. Beyond this thin edge
of pioneer farms, lay the prairie and sagebrush lands that stretched to the foothills of the Rocky
Mountains. Then, for nearly 1,600 kilometers, loomed the huge bulk of mountain ranges, many rich in
silver, gold and other metals. On the far side, plains and deserts were part of this region; here laid the
Last Frontier the Great Plains . For a long time, the region had been called the Great American

By 1890 the frontier had disappeared.
Settlement was spurred by the Homestead Act of 1862, which granted free farms of 64 hectares to
citizens who would occupy and improve the land. Under the homestead Act of 1862 a farmer could
either realize the old dream of free land and simply by staking out a claim and living on it for years, or
by buying the land at $1.25 an acre after six months. (Tindall 878) Unfortunately for the would be
farmers, the land itself was suited more for cattle ranching than farming, and by 1880 nearly
22,400,000 hectares of free land was in the hands of cattlemen or the railroads.
In 1862 Congress also voted a charter to the Union Pacific Railroad, which pushed westward from
Council Bluffs, Iowa, using mostly the labor of ex soldiers and Irish immigrants. At the same time, the
Central Pacific Railroad began to build eastward from Sacramento, California, relying heavily on
Chinese immigrant labor. The whole country was stirred as the two lines steadily approached each
other, finally meeting on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Point in Utah. The months of laborious travel
hitherto separating the two oceans was now cut to about six days. The continental rail network grew
steadily, and by 1884, four great lines linked the central Mississippi Valley area with the Pacific.
The first great rush of population to the Far West was drawn to the mountainous regions, where gold
was found in California in 1848, in Colorado

Therefore, I made the decision of splitting the story into two posters that could work as part of the same marketing campaign whose main goal is to show the deep contrasts between life in COIN and life on the surface. The first motion poster is focused on scenes 1 and 2 of the storyboard. In scene 1, the dome that covers an atomic reactor crashes and the radiation spreads rapidly. The dome rotates as a way of transitioning to the next scene where the audience, in contrast, can appreciate the magnificence of a whale swimming near one of the underwater settlements while shinning sunbeams are filtered through the sea surface. The main goal of this piece is, therefore, to show the deterioration of the environment and the danger of radiation on the surface in opposition to the peaceful life in the Oceanic cities where nature is still a top priority. The second poster is a combination of scenes 3, 4, 5 and 6. In the first part, we can see a dark tunnel with graffities on its walls and the wheel of a bike with a U lock on the bottom right corner. Suddenly, the streetlight starts to flicker and a threatening shadow is reflected on the right side of the screen. On the Development of Quantum Computers and Cryptography On the Development of Quantum Computers and Cryptography In 2010, the United States government, after accessing encrypted files by means of physical intervention, exposed ten Russian sleeper agents; in 2013, the United States government, without any means of physical intervention, surreptitiously collected and promptly decrypted many previously encrypted (Wood). Within this decade, concerns regarding the dubious security of contemporary cryptography will begin to emerge as the secrets of quantum computing quickly unravel. Companies that rely on Moore s law, which asserts that computing power doubles every eighteen months, to justify using the theoretically weak cryptography scheme known as RSA will succumb to the risks posed by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These individuals cite a three qubit impasse, which states that because quantum computers have not become more complex than three qubits, they will not become more complex than three qubits. From the start of serious research in 2001 up until recently, this argument had remained tenable. But, the human endeavor to create technological advancements would not relent. This drive proved itself as successful in 2012, when D Wave Systems, a quantum computing company founded in 1999, announced that their work on a 512 qubit quantum computer had concluded. D Wave then went on to state that they would computer would reveal the computer later that year, albeit with a limited range of abilities. Since then, companies such as Google and the National Aeronautics and Space Association (NASA) have begun to work in conjunction with D Wave to improve upon their prototype and apply them to calculations to discover new potential. Nevertheless, dogmatic advocates for RSA hold the proposition that their point still stands as these do not count as full fledged quantum computers. With the progression of time, the development of quantum computers will do as it has already done once and relegate the power of the three qubit impasse to a continually smaller role. While RSA performs its final show, a new system débuts. Praised by some as unbreakable, they call the method Quantum Key Distribution, (QKD) and in it lies ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The patient themselves undergoes a loss of consciousness when administered with anesthetic, and the extent of which, whether the patient is conscious or not, is dependent on the type of anesthetic and the method. There is a local anesthetic, which is used to numb a specific part of the body, by inserting the anesthetic drug into the surrounding area of where a medical procedure is going to be carried out. For example, in dental procedures, whereby which a patient is having a tooth extracted, they will be administered with a local anesthetic, where the medication is inserted into the surrounding area, in this case the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 1.3 Neuraxial anesthesia is a form of regional anesthesia, which is a highly used and effective method of producing an analgesic effect, along with neuromuscular paralysis to allow surgical conditions to be at its most favorable to carry out painless surgeries. Some of the most common neuraxial/regional anesthetics are known as an epidural or spinal anesthetic. An excellent pre operative analgesic is characterized to minimize any stress, which could be resulted from the surgery, as well as to protect the myocardium, and limit any neuroendocrine effects. The way in which this anesthetic works, is through the injection of the anesthetic medication into the spine, more specifically into the fatty tissue which surrounds the nerve roots. Spinal anesthesia is the injection of the anesthetic into the cerebrospinal fluid, which surrounds the spinal cord. This insertion of anesthesia into these particular places causes a numbing in the patient, which begins from the abdomen straight through to the toes and therefore eliminates the need for a general anesthesia. Regional/neuraxial anesthesia is provided quite usually as an epidural during childbirth and labor for women who can chose to request or deny it. It is also quite commonly used after surgeries, where there is an ongoing pain, usually for surgeries associated with the lungs or lower extremities. It relieves the patient of any after pain. Back in the 1990s, roller coasters were primarily made out of wood with small bits of steel and metals. Wood was much cheaper and easier to use.(Schaefer 2004 Roller Coasters). This put a limit on how coasters could be designed so the majority of them around the united states were extremely similar. The safety of rider s was not much of a concern back in those days. There were many deaths back in the 1900 s simply because most of the coasters had faulty designs, safety, or were improperly built. (McGill 2001. Ultimaterollercoasters.com), The amount of deaths that were caused because of the negligence is exactly why roller coasters had to change to fit the times and safety resources. Today, the safety ... The procedure for producing EMF in an electrochemical cell is due to an internal chemical reaction which is the redox reaction this is a reaction that involves electrons being transferred from the reducing agent to the oxidizing agent. • 23. The Physics Of Quantum Mechanics Quantum Mechanics is a branch of physics that explains the really small things. These really small things, such as electrons are studied in an attempt to find out how they behave under certain conditions. Findings from the studies are then used to explain how the small particles make up and relate to the bigger parts of the world. Without the discovery of quantum mechanics, the behavior of small things and how they make up everything would be unknown. Plank sparked the discovered Quantum mechanics when doing an experiment using heat and light to produce ultra violet radiation. What Plank discovered is that light was not constant and could actually be considered particles. Planks discovery brought about the question of whether small things act like a particle or a wave. This question was tested in the double slit experiment. It was discovered that electrons act as a wave and act as a particle. Plank applied his ideas and developed an equation that is used to describe light as a quanta and not a continuous wave. Plank s equation contained a number today known as Plank s constant, which is used in many equations involving wavelengths. Quantum mechanics deals with two principles. The uncertainty principle explains that as an electrons position is more precise the less accurate speed can be calculated and the more precise speed is known the less precise the location. The second principle is the correspondence principle and this states that when the classical theory is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, this desire to live also stems from a desire for certainty, which he fears he cannot have in death, expressed in lines 118 132. Ocean Acidification Is Destroying Our Environment Evelyn Yang Nick Grossenbacher Essay Writing A July 6, 2015 Ocean Acidification: How the Ocean s Declining pH is Destroying Our Environment Sometimes called climate change s equivalently destructive twin , ocean acidification is becoming more and more noticeable as the seawater s changing chemistry begins to cause environmental and economical problems. When the Industrial Revolution began around 1760, fossil fuel powered machines gained an immense amount of accessibility and popularity. Since then, carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the atmosphere have risen enough to change the pH of the world s oceans. Given that the ocean absorbs almost half of the CO2 that is released into our atmosphere, ocean acidification is inclining into an even greater problem as fossil fuels become a more common energy source in our society. Higher acid levels can harm wildlife, disrupt the food chain, and negatively impact industries that rely on the ocean for business.
