Ambulatory Care Essay
Most hospitals, medical practices across the United States are transitioning to electronic health care
record system to improve quality measures and manage the number of patients they can generate,
retrieve, and accumulate. However, the ambulatory care providers usually don t use EHR technology
to the full extent of its power because it associates barriers that stand in the way of changing medical
practices. In this case, the EHR will also examine some of the advantages and disadvantages while
medical practitioners make their decision. In ambulatory care, there are many advantages of using
electronic medical records, such as increasing the cyber security level and privacy safety, eliminating
medical errors, and improving the quality of care. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This system includes the patient s history, their medication and allergies, and the notes that s were
token by their doctor of physician. This system can also be integrated into the EHR software, which
could put health care organizations at risk and potentially violate privacy protocols. Buying electronic
material will have a high cost in the ambulatory environment, although it could be extremely effective.
Creating and updating patient s medical records would take some pressure off the doctors and
physicians who are not capable of analyzing electronic material on new devices. In order to secure and
record patients effectively, hospitals would need the right equipment. Hence, it would increase the cost
of the hospital expenses. In addition, new EHR ambulatory care will take time to train people and
understand the capability of the software. As you make sure that the new technology is being used in a
system that practitioners have already used. Another cost of integrating EHR s is the maintenance cost
which could be costly. A part of the maintenance costs would be exchanging and upgrading the
hardware within the technology. In addition, providers need to support the usage of EHR s in health
care organizations to improve the quality of

The Contributions Of Alexander Hamilton And George Washington
I am not throwing away my shot! Alexander Hamilton was one of our founding fathers, he was an
important part of history. He aided George Washington many times, becoming his right hand man. He
took chances away from Aaron Burr, and prevented him from becoming president. Most importantly,
he was shot by Aaron Burr in a duel. Alexander aided George Washington until his 1783 resignation
from being president. Hamilton became Washington s aid in 1777, writing many things for him. He let
Hamilton lead troops in The Battle of Yorktown. Alexander wrote George s farewell address for him in
1796. He did not want to run for another term, which allowed Burr and Jefferson to run for president.
Aaron Burr was one of Hamilton s enemies,

How Milling Is Metal Removal Process
2.1 Introduction Milling is metal removal process distinguished from drilling and other machining
operation. It is used in most high productive manufacturing industries, where quality is essential for
parts. In milling operation, Metal removal takes place due to the cutting action of a revolving milling
cutter, when work piece is fed on it. But for producing quality side surface of parts, end milling
operation carried out. Drill bit can cut in axial order only, while a milling bit can generally cut in all
directions, although some cannot cut axially. End mills are used in milling applications such as
plunging, side milling and profile milling. 2.2 Optimization The main purpose of most engineering
design procedure is to improve productivity with reduction in cost. The algorithm of an optimization
is a one type of procedure which executed optimum solution by comparing various solutions till the
satisfaction level. In conventional method, solutions were accepted by comparing few designated
answers in many industrial process design activity. This is very simple approach and no guarantee for
an optimum solution. To get the proper values of optimization, user must have to apply one or more
design solutions to check relative search space between algorithm techniques. The role of controllable
cutting parameters (Speed, feed, depth of cut, width of cut etc.) for economical machining process,
optimization have been recognized. F. W. Taylor (1907) showed that an optimum

Someone yelled from the bottom, if you voted for Trump, you better be fucking scared. Everyone
clapped and applauded, recounted Kathryn Hinderaker, Vice President of the St. Olaf College
Republicans. Obviously, it didn t feel super safe. Conservatives on college campuses are being
terrorized across the nation, facing threats of violence and sometimes worse. The portrayal of campus
conservatives as monsters is an apt comparison to the monstrosity the reader observes in the novels
When the Emperor was Divine by Julie Otsuka and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, novels where
characters face unfair oppression and are feared because of things or events that they cannot control.

The creature s greatest desire is to be welcomed by man, and he is prepared to work hard to achieve
this goal. He says, What chiefly struck me was the gentle manners of these people; and I longed to
join them, but dared not... I would remain quietly in my hovel, watching and endeavoring to discover
the motives which influenced their actions, (Shelley 77). Upon gathering more information about
people, the creature leaves his hovel. When he is alone with the blind man, De Lacey, in the cottage,
he says ...I trust that by your aid, I shall not be driven from the society and sympathy of your fellow
creatures. (Shelley 98). The creature genuinely believes that despite his physical deformities, he will
be accepted by mankind. He thinks that through his ability to contribute to society and his kindness,
people will treat him with respect even though he is not physically like them. The creature s
confidence that he would be accepted shows that was overly optimistic about the morality of mankind.
At the start of their tumultuous journeys, both the girl and the creature are confident, optimistic beings
that seem on track for success.
However, these dreams of success are derailed by unfair treatment at the hands of others. The creature
and the girl are discriminated against based on things that are out of their control. The girl has to deal
with more adversity and discrimination than anyone should ever have to face, particularly at a young
age. She says, Someone had thrown

The agreement was created in part to facilitate trade among the three countries. The goal of NAFTA
was to eliminate barriers to trade and investment between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. At the time
that the trade agreement was signed and ratified by each nation s legislative or parliamentary branch,
the president of Mexico was Carlos Salinas de Gortari. President Carlos Salinas is a very controversial
figure in Mexican politics even before he became President of the United States of Mexico, (as it is
officially known as). Salinas was a member to the Institutional Revolution Party (PRI) and for the first
time the PRI Party was faced by significant opposition from the right, the National Action Party
(PAN). Also, for the first time, the Federal Electoral Commission, the institution in charge of the
electoral process, installed a modern computing system to count the votes. On the day of the elections,
the system crashed. After the supposedly crash was resolved, the votes were counted up and Carlos
Salinas was declared the official President of Mexico. Ex President Salinas was also responsible for
the devaluation of the Mexican currency which lead to widespread criticism in Mexico. On January 1,
1994 the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) issued their first declaration from the state of
Chiapas in southern Mexico. The date coincides with the date that NAFTA came into force, a trade

All The Worlds A Stage And I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
In the poems All the worlds a Stage by William Shakespeare, and I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
by Maya Angelou are many similarities and differences in terms of literary elements such as Imagery,
Personification, and Theme. One important similarity between these poems is the use of imagery. In
the same way, another significant similarity is the use of personification element in both poems.
Moreover, one main difference among these two poems is their themes. One important similarity
between these two poems in terms of literary elements is the use of imagery. In the poem All the
Worlds a Stage , William Shakespeare uses many imagery throughout the poem to illustrate the idea
that people change and progress through the time meaning that the life is a cycle or process.
Shakespeare says, With eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances.
(Stanza 1, line 18). Basically, this imagery gives the reader a clear idea that throughout a lifetime
people move forward. In the same way, the poem I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings is full of
imagery in almost every line. Maya Angelou says, A free bird leaps on the back of ... Show more

What Is The Study Of Law Essay
Not so long ago, I graduated from college; perhaps the first completed book of my lifetime. I decided
to savor it first, knowing how much I invested to achieve it. However, with no absolute control over
things, I just found myself being a law student.
Almost already a year, and still, I feel that I have not adjusted well. There are times when I would just
stare into space asking myself if this is the right path for me to take; if this is really I would like to do.
I appear to be prepared most of the time, but I know myself better than anyone else. I know that so far,
what makes me survive law school is anchored in luck. As they say, it is better to be lucky than good.
But I feel sooner or later, it will run out. The study of law, I did not ... Show more content on

a handful of individuals, with the hope that one of them will share the same interest, will study further,
and do the same. The method is slow, unassuming and does not guarantee success, yet there is a
possibility and probability. And that is enough. Consequently, to study law is to invest not just money,
time or effort. To study the law, you need to offer a part of yourself. Whether or not you will love each

history. The feeling of being called every recitation, the little prayers being muttered every shuffling of

World War One Heritage And Remembrance
The war has always acted as a vicious muse for songwriters.
Since Antiquity, it has inspired a vast song repertoire, which has been able to describe tragic events in
a vivid and striking way.
Governments and rulers used and are still using music with propagandistic and mass control aims;
patriotic composers consecrate their works to glorify belligerent ideals and galvanise the troops, while
pacifist or subversive ones tries to condemn warfare.
Music is also extensively used after wars with commemorative goals or therapeutic objectives.
However, it is undoubtedly among common soldiers that music reveals its most authentic and frank
aspects.
Soldiers are indeed the only ones who live wars first hand, experiencing the tragedies of life on the
frontline and bluntly describing them.
The First World War is one of the historic events that have impressed the most the creative souls,
because of its inhumanity and momentous nature.
In fact, it is still source for a cultural and social debate in many countries, primarily Italy.
World War One heritage and remembrance is indeed a controversial topic for the Italian civil society:
during the last decades, its memory has been widely exploited by political opportunists and a sincere
and a truthful representation of the events is far to be portrayed.
In point of fact, one of the few reliable sources is embodied by soldiers songs.
This project aims indeed to recall the most significant examples of Italian soldiers and trenches songs

infrastructure needed, and this is likely to have an impact on the flora and fauna in those areas as their
habitats are removed. The maps on the following page shows the endangered...vegetation and animal

Apart from during the construction of the tunnel, the local air quality is expected to improve, as the
ventilation stacks are to have an insignificant effect on the air quality as they are being built high

The Worst Death Trap, Killing Fourteen Italian Immigrants
On March 13, 1900, a tenement building in New York City caught fire, killing fourteen Italian
immigrants. The poorly constructed frame building housed three stories of tenement quarters, with ten
apartments per floor. The rooms were five by ten feet, separated only by flimsy half inch thick boards.
With just one exit through the entrance of the building, and that only by way of a 42 inch wide
stairway, their only escape was destroyed, leaving eleven families of caged victims beyond help.
People became so desperate that they jumped from upper balconies as the firemen on the scene
struggled to control the flames. The top floor proved to be the deadliest, with a victim in nearly all ten
rooms. After the arrest of a suspect and an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Connected to these changes were rapidly declining sanitary conditions in tenement housing and rising
prices. Immigrants came to America with visions of streets paved in gold and a chance to rise through
hard work. Americans who had lived longer in the country and who harbored rabid anti immigrant
sentiments greeted them with derision and abuse. They saw immigrants as competition in an already
dwindling job market, and bearers of the dreaded Catholicism, socialism, communism, and other
foreign evils. Social Darwinism, in vogue at the time, only compounded the problems of the poor.
Darwin s work in animal dominance was translated into social beliefs that benefitted successful
businessmen and capitalist bullies. Social Darwinism claimed that the wealthy were dominant because
they were superior, and the poor were so because they were inherently flawed. The effect of this
theory was that no help was offered to the poor because they deserved none, and there was no call to
level the playing field because the rich had triumphed through natural selection. With more and more
people pouring into the major industrialized cities, new arrivals were forced (often tricked) into cheap
and dirty tenement housing in the more dangerous areas of town, in order to afford bare subsistence in
a society already glutted with humanity and twisted notions about nationality. Tenement fire stories

Most of the increased number of people was the peasantry. The large number of people limited the

H. G. Wells was a Famous English Author of Science-fiction...
Wells, H. G. (1866 1946), was a famous English novelist, historian, science writer, and author of
science fiction stories. Wells s novel Tono Bungay (1909) best reveals his varied talents. The novel, a
story of the dishonest promotion of a patent medicine, contains social criticism tinged with satire. In it,
Wells described trips in airplanes and submarines at a time when such journeys seemed like science
fiction.
Herbert George Wells was born on Sept. 21, 1866, in Bromley, Kent (now part of London). He drew
on his lower middle class background in some of his finest novels, including Kipps (1905) and The
History of Mr. Polly (1909). His training as a scientist is reflected in his imaginative science fiction
stories. The Time Machine (1895) describes the adventures of a man who can transport himself into
the future. Wells wrote about an invasion from Mars in The War of the Worlds (1898) and described a
fictional utopia in The Shape of Things to Come (1933).
Wells supported social reform in the novel The New Machiavelli (1911), in the nonfiction study The
Work, Wealth and Happiness of Mankind (1932), and in other books. He wrote The Outline of History
(1920), a story of the development of the human race. The book shows Wells s knowledge of biology
and his liberal attitude in politics. With his son Geoffrey and Sir Julian Huxley, Wells wrote The

Advantages And Effects Of Refugee Refugees
Refugee warriors are citizens of one state who crossed the border as a refugee and live in in a
neighboring country. Citizens live in camps on the borders of the state that they were born. In the
camps the refugees live in the refugee warriors conduct war against the regime that is in power or

Whether we approve or disapprove their actions they are refugee warriors and if they have and if they

against the regime that is in power in their home from bases in the neighboring countries. There are
conditions in being a refugee warrior and to be a member a person s parents or grandparents fled from

countries. Refugee warriors weaken the regime in their home country and their host state but that

Ageism is stereotyping and a form of discrimination against individuals or groups based on their age.
Unlike other ism , ageism doesn t capture the same level of public attention as racism or sexism.
According to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission statistics, about a quarter of the
discrimination complaints filed are age related, with increasing number (Adler, 2013). That being said,

Based on four studies, Fiske and North developed a 20 item scale to measure how much people

What My Mother Doesn T Know Essay
What My Mother Doesn t Know by Sonya Jones was written in 2001.The book consists of events that
aren t out of the ordinary in a young freshman life, also it is solely composed of armature poetry, almost
as if it is diary entries. The main character is Sophie who lives in Cambridge,Massachusetts. She is just
entering high school and going through all the typical stages such as becoming distant from her
mother and boys are always on her mind.As each poem is written it is enviable to see the maturity that
has taken over her.The story really connects with its audience in the sense that when they were in their
freshman year it was okay to be awkward and fall in love with every guy you laid eyes on.It is simply
a part of growing up,but luckily she also shows that after she came

Competitive Sports
There has been a big argument about the injuries of competitive sports and if kids should be playing
them. There is a lot of opinions on if kids should play competitive sports or if they should not be
allowed to play competitive sports. Some people argue about the injuries and risk that sports give to
young children and the pressure that goes with them. Others argue that sports give more than just
injuries like life skills such as motivation and commitment. According to the New York Times ( 2015
), over 50% of high schoolers get a concussion in competitive sports. However, in this essay, I will be
talking about some the life skills that competitive sports give you and how they outweigh the pressure
and injuries in competitive sports give.
My first reason for why competitive sports help kids with life skills is that kids gain self confidence
when playing sports. One reason sports help with self confidence is it helps with setting goals.
According to Muhealth, ( 2017 ) Watching your hard work pay off and achieving your goals develops
self confidence. Achieving a sport or fitness goal encourages you to achieve other goals you set. This
is a rewarding and exciting learning process. This is showing that setting and then eventually
achieving your goals in sports and helps a lot with the self confidence of children. My second reason
is that when kids play sports they help kids be themselves and helps the kids view themselves in a
good way. This is supported by Margaret Talbot,

Writing From A Place Of Love And I Have Been Thinking...
Heather, This comes from a place of love and I have been thinking about writing this email to you
since the wedding but wanted to wait until after 360 to write you about it. For the last year I have been
trying to talk to you about and every time I try to bring anything up that bothers me , or that I notice
you immediately go on the deep end. I feel like I can t come and talk to you about things. So for a year
or so now when I get mad at you I just stop talking to you, and hanging out with you. But then I miss
you, and want to hang out again. So I do. But then the same thing happens, and its like this vicious

More often then not we will be hanging out with just ourselves, or a group and all of sudden you will
get really angry about something and start to yell at people. Your anger outburst usually only seem to
last for 10 to 15 minutes or until you find a solution, and then like I mentioned you want to pretend it
never happen. But your outburst does have an affect on the people around you. I don t know if you do
it to the people close to you because you think that they will bounce back, or if you realize how loud,
and angry you get with people when you are feeling anxious. One time you blew up at me, because we
were having ladies night at your house and I wanted to do something separate for dinner because I had
to stop by the doctors really quickly. You told me that you had been buying food out, and yelled at me

Another time was went I couldn t grab you cider from the streets you blew up at me, and told me that

Voltaire s View Of Candide
Voltaire s Candide is a satirical work written in 1759 as a commentary during the Enlightenment. One
of Voltaire s most famous works, it also functioned to reflect Voltaire s opinions. Candide is
considered Voltaire s signature work in which he levels his sharpest criticism against nobility,
philosophy, the church, and human cruelty. Though often considered a representative text of the
Enlightenment era, the novel criticizes a number of Enlightenment philosophies. As reading and books
were a sign of wealth in that time, the trend among nobility was reading. The criticisms and ridicule
within the satirical nature of Candide had much to do with the nobility and their standards and ideas,
especially in contrast with those of the lower classes. Through the form and technique of satire in
Candide, Voltaire suggests the absurdity of societal principles and theories.
Throughout the novel, Candide s teacher and philosopher, Pangloss, persists in his paternalistic
optimism theory. He continually expresses his belief that this world is the best of all possible worlds
and that everything happens and exists for a reason. One example is after the earthquake in Lisbon,
killing 30,000 people, Pangloss comments, For, said he, all that is for the best. If there is a volcano at
Lisbon it cannot be elsewhere. It is impossible that things should be other than they are; for everything
is right (5.14). Pangloss insists that the volcano was made for the exact purpose of the earthquake

Comparing Tangled And The Brothers Grimm
Tangled is a Disney movie created to tell the story of Rapunzel, a young girl taken by a witch and
locked in a tower. Rapunzel is a story collected by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, the Brothers Grimm,
about a young girl locked in a tower. Although they seem quite similar, there are quite a few
differences between the movie Tangled and the Brothers Grimm Rapunzel . One difference occurs at
the beginning and how the evil witch gains possession of Rapunzel. In the Brothers Grimm story, the
witch agrees to let the man give the rampion from her garden to his wife as long as she gets their first
born. She said the child that will come into the world must be given to me. It shall go well with the
child, and I will care for it like a mother. In the movie Tangled, a queen is pregnant and gets sick. To
heal her, people are sent out to look for a flower that cures all diseases. When the baby is born, she has
magical hair that can heal everybody and make you young again. The evil witch breaks into the castle
to cut a piece of the baby s hair but learns that once it s cut, it loses it s power. So instead, she takes
the child and flees the castle. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Evoking Freedom Study
The Effects of Evoking Freedom Technique on Compliance Social influence and the power of social
situations have always been central topics of inquiry for psychologists due to their impact on our
everyday lives. Social influence refers to the ways in which people alter their attitudes, emotions, and
behaviors of others. Every day, we encounter countless attempts by other people to influence us.
Likewise, we try to influence others. Compliance is a kind of social influence in which an individual
modifies his or her behavior in response to an appeal made by another person. Many studies have
investigated effective means of increasing compliance rates.

Also, if the cost of the request plays an important role as predicted in determining the compliance rate,
we should see a higher compliance rate in a low stakes request in the presence of the evoking freedom

compliance in a low stakes request in the absence of the evoking freedom technique than in a high
stakes request in the absence of the evoking freedom technique. If we had seen these effects, it would
have also meant that we support the idea that when one is given the freedom to accept or refuse a
request, he or she will be more likely to comply even with a request that is costlier for that

Over the past 100 years my family has come from many places of origin Lebanon, Spain, Ireland,
Russia, Germany and many others. over the past century there s been a breakdown and separation
amongst the family and its traditions that we used to have. There s so much left to my imagination
regarding my culture and ethnicity, but there is some that I am aware of from questioning people such

Importance
of family.
Growing up the importance of family was highly stressed. You must do anything for your family. Even
if it meant doing something wrong. One of the things that my family has both held onto was the
importance of family. The reason I believe that this was highly stressed is because of the breakdown
and the separation of the family. Some families moved to California, Some stayed on the East Coast
and some scattered in between. It was important to hold onto family because we were taught that
family is all we have. When I was 11 ironically my mother and my father got a divorce. It devastated
me, not only was my family torn apart but everything I had been taught about sacrificing for the good
of the family was disregarded at their convenience. Throughout my years as a child and young adult I
have held on to the values that I must still hold onto a strong sense of family. I wanted to do what so
many other family members could not, maintain a lasting marriage. There are many reasons my

Theme Of Revenge In The Crucible
Expense of Revenge in the Conclusible Crucible Abigail stands outside her uncle s home, her rage and
anger at Elizabeth has reached its boiling point. She hears many voices inside the house, The judges of
the trials are here, she thinks to herself. She stares down at the needle in her hand, it looks just like the
one she saw Mary sewing with in court that morning. She thinks back to Elizabeth, that repulsive, vile
woman that took her John away from her. Without reluctance now she stabs the needle into her
stomach and stumbles into the house. The Proctor s fate has now been sealed and there was nothing
the Proctor s could have ever done to have stopped it. Theme of revenge is better portrayed in the film,
The Crucible, than the play by Arthur miller of the same title. The film, The Crucible, far succeeds in
depicting the emotions of revenge. The book tries to accomplish this but cannot display the
complexity of revenge that the movie does so well. As the film opens, Abigail, the niece of the pastor,
is shown with many other girls sneaking out to the woods late at night. Tituba, the slave of the pastor,
begins a ritual with the girls where they may make a wish (The Crucible). Abigail whispers her wish
to Tituba, Tituba in shock tells Abigail she will not take the wish request. Abigail becomes irrational,
and the scene spirals out from there. Unfortunately, Miller never included this scene in his play. This
event sets up the entirety of the Salem Witch Trials and all that

Quality Aware Smart Decisions Under Uncertainty
IV. QUALITY AWARE SMART DECISIONS UNDER UNCERTAINTY This section details the
framework to process the QoC at each level of the context processing chain for our ubiquitous

awareness in smart notification assistant The actions of the smart notification assistant are influenced
by the uncertainty involved while processing multiple context types at runtime, in this case the locality

1. It depicts the significance of QoC requirements at each level of the context processing chain, from
context fetching (low level) to the context usage (high level). The main data quality issues for our use
case at the lower level can be the place and position of the sensor and the fact that the sensor may be
accidentally altered resulting in wrong events. In case of a GPS sensor to infer the location of the user,
the signals may be lost indoors. False events generated from these sensor s can pose a non negligible
impact on a user s (patient) health. Moreover, inferring context knowledge from this data will hamper
the quality of the overall context data from lower level to the higher level of context processing and
knowledge generation. A lack of quality at this level may harm the reasoning and actuation properties
and reduce the ability of the ubiquitous notification assistant to determine the actual situation of the
patient. It can have an unexpected effect on the real time operations of the system as the derived
context knowledge may be incorrect, consequently affecting the smart decisions of the system and
preventing it from offering tailored interactions based on the user s (patient) current QoC
requirements. Global attributes like Timeliness must be satisfied over the entire life time of the
system. Different local attributes within a context might guarantee a global attribute. Moreover, a local

Eddie Mabo Case Study
In the Eddie Mabo case, the case related to the ownership and control of land. However, aboriginal
land rights were not recognised. In this case there were two major principles, which were terra nullius
and native title. Terra Nullis is a legal principle indicating that a particular part of land doesn t belong
to anyone or could be considered as no man s land. Only Captain Cook in 1770 claimed all of the east
coast under international recognised law at the time. It followed three ground rules. The rules were if
the land is uninhabited, any country could claim ownership and settle the land under the principle of
terra nullius. If the land was inhabited, another country could request the leaders of the indigenous
inhabitants for permission to make use of some of the land. This may involve making a land purchase,
or coming to some other agreement such as treaty which was agreeable to the indigenous population.
The last rule meant that a country already inhabited could be conquered through invasion and war, ...

Western Australia created the Land (Titles and Traditional usages) Act 1993. This Act was to end the
common law of native title. Also, this Act was purposely created to deal with disputes between mining
companies and indigenous people over the right to certain areas of land.
Previously the Commonwealth Government tried to keep away from the conflicts between State
Governments over indigenous land rights. However, the then PM Paul Keating of the Labour
Government wanted to find a way to help those in need of rights. There was a risk with this decision
as some other State Governments might try to legislate to stop indigenous land rights as Western
Australia had done. This led to the Commonwealth Government putting forward its own legislation.
The Act that was created was the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth). It was passed in late December 1993
and began in force in January 1st

Quitting In Softball
Fastpitch softball is a game of mental precision. It has its ups and downs. One game, you may feel as
if you are unstoppable. While the following game may send you crying the entire car ride home. Even
the rush of hitting a home run or the excitement of pitching a no hitter, are no match for the mental
games that always seem to follow a disappointing play. There are moments in each athlete s softball
career in which this disappointment becomes too much. It swallows them completely and
consequently leaves them questioning why they ever started playing the game. It may even cause them
to consider quitting.
There have been moments in my softball career when quitting appeared to be the best option.

Chaucer s Grecian Satire Of Chivalrous Knighthood
Chaucer s Grecian Satire of Chivalrous Knighthood Chivalry, a honorable and noble code of conduct
developed by knighthood for knighthood. It was a set of rules and morals for knights to adhere to and
follow, and it was developed in the middle ages in the years 1170 through 1220. But by the time
Chaucer wrote the Canterbury tales in the year 1400 chivalry s light was beginning wane. And perhaps
Chaucer s story had something to do with its decline because, when Chaucer tells the Knights tail his
story is a satire, he pokes fun at the old fashioned values of chivalry and the knights code of honor.
Chaucer s portrayal of the knights tail exaggerates every tiny detail. Often when details are scrutinized

Diabetes And Its Effects On Diabetes
Diabetes is caused when a person s blood sugar level becomes too high. This is often described as a
lifelong condition. There are two types of Diabetes within the UK; Type 1 Diabetes, where the body s
immune system attacks and destroys the cells that the body uses to produce insulin. This can develop
over weeks or even days. Type 2 Diabetes occurs when the body doesn t produce enough insulin or the
body s cells do not react to insulin. Type 2 diabetes is far more common than type 1. Many people can
suffer from type 2 Diabetes for many years without realising due to symptoms being so broad. Many
people have blood sugar levels above the normal rate. This suggests that there is a risk of developing
full diabetes in the future. However, sometimes it is not high enough to be diagnosed as having
diabetes. This is known as pre diabetes. It is extremely important to diagnosis diabetes as soon as
possible as it progressively gets worse over time if it s not treated (NHS.UK, 2016). There are many
risk factors that can have the likelihood impact on developing diabetes, such as in males or females,
food preferences, pregnancy, obesity, genetics, damaging effects and race and ethnicity. These risk
factors and their trends will be discussed in depth later in this essay.
It is very important to the detect diabetes from early stage as high glucose levels can damage the blood
vessels, nerves and organs within the body. Mildly raised glucose levels which don t cause any
symptoms can have

The Battle Of The Gettysburg
Today, the Battle of Gettysburg is considered one of the most important battles of the American Civil
War. However, with 23,049 casualties on the Union side and 28,063 on the Confederate side, it can
also be considered one of the bloodiest (Civil War Trust). Such heavy losses naturally rattled the entire
nation and Americans on both sides began to question the war and what it stood for. As Americans
gathered together at the consecration ceremony of the Gettysburg National Cemetery, the much
acclaimed orator and politician Edward Everett delivered what was meant to be the Gettysburg
Address. Yet, today, it is not Edward Everett s Gettysburg Address that the world remembers, but
Abraham Lincoln s, who was invited to the ceremony almost as an afterthought. Lincoln s 272 words
helped remake America by giving hope to its citizens at a time when they were at their lowest.
For Everett, the Battle of Gettysburg was a parallel to the ancient Battle of Marathon and his moment
up on the stage delivering his Address was his Pericles moment. The nineteenth century was a time of
Greek revival for America, a time when America came to be considered the second Athens. This
Greek revival manifested itself in everything from architecture to courses at universities, but perhaps
most importantly, in orations at the time. Everett played a significant role in this Greek revival as he
was not only a Greek scholar but also a proponent of classicism. With his Gettysburg Address, Everett
hoped to

Analysis Of Michael Jackson s The Rock Band Nirvana s...
In 1992, Michael Jackson s Dangerous fell from the number one spot on the Billboard music charts,
replaced by grunge rock band Nirvana s sophomore album, Nevermind, bringing alternative rock to
mainstream and commercial success. Nirvana had started out in Seattle s underground music scene
and consisted of lead singer and songwriter Kurt Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave
Grohl. Their sound was a subgenre of alternative rock known as grunge, a combination of punk rock
and heavy metal characterized by heavy feedback and nihilistic lyrics. Their first album, Bleach, was
released under independent label Sub pop and found moderate success in the underground punk scene,
but it was not until they were bought out by major label DCG Records that Nirvana was able to reach
commercial success. This was significant for two reasons; one, it introduced a completely different
sound of music to the mainstream audience and two, the songs were written by and represented
Generation X. For these very reasons, Nevermind was able to reach the top of the music charts. Before
Nevermind, mainstream music was largely controlled by old, baby boomer (those born after World
War II to about 1965) music executives. This resulted in music that Generation X (those that were
born after the baby boomers) could not relate to. Not only was Nevermind written by Generation Xers,
it also perfectly captured the feelings of Generation X: angry disillusionment with older generations.

Creating and updating patient s medical records would take some pressure off the doctors and physicians who are not capable of analyzing electronic material on new devices. In order to secure and record patients effectively, hospitals would need the right equipment. Hence, it would increase the cost of the hospital expenses. In addition, new EHR ambulatory care will take time to train people and understand the capability of the software. As you make sure that the new technology is being used in a system that practitioners have already used. Another cost of integrating EHR s is the maintenance cost which could be costly. • 4. How Milling Is Metal Removal Process 2.1 Introduction Milling is metal removal process distinguished from drilling and other machining operation. It is used in most high productive manufacturing industries, where quality is essential for parts. In milling operation, Metal removal takes place due to the cutting action of a revolving milling cutter, when work piece is fed on it. But for producing quality side surface of parts, end milling operation carried out. Drill bit can cut in axial order only, while a milling bit can generally cut in all directions, although some cannot cut axially. End mills are used in milling applications such as plunging, side milling and profile milling. 2.2 Optimization The main purpose of most engineering design procedure is to improve productivity with reduction in cost. The algorithm of an optimization is a one type of procedure which executed optimum solution by comparing various solutions till the satisfaction level. In conventional method, solutions were accepted by comparing few designated answers in many industrial process design activity. This is very simple approach and no guarantee for an optimum solution. To get the proper values of optimization, user must have to apply one or more design solutions to check relative search space between algorithm techniques. The role of controllable cutting parameters (Speed, feed, depth of cut, width of cut etc.) for economical machining process, optimization have been recognized. F. W. Everyone clapped and applauded, recounted Kathryn Hinderaker, Vice President of the St. Olaf College Republicans. Obviously, it didn t feel super safe. Conservatives on college campuses are being terrorized across the nation, facing threats of violence and sometimes worse. The portrayal of campus conservatives as monsters is an apt comparison to the monstrosity the reader observes in the novels When the Emperor was Divine by Julie Otsuka and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, novels where characters face unfair oppression and are feared because of things or events that they cannot control. Upon gathering more information about people, the creature leaves his hovel. When he is alone with the blind man, De Lacey, in the cottage, he says ...I trust that by your aid, I shall not be driven from the society and sympathy of your fellow creatures. (Shelley 98). The creature genuinely believes that despite his physical deformities, he will be accepted by mankind. He thinks that through his ability to contribute to society and his kindness, people will treat him with respect even though he is not physically like them. The creature s confidence that he would be accepted shows that was overly optimistic about the morality of mankind. At the start of their tumultuous journeys, both the girl and the creature are confident, optimistic beings that seem on track for success. However, these dreams of success are derailed by unfair treatment at the hands of others. The creature and the girl are discriminated against based on things that are out of their control. Since Antiquity, it has inspired a vast song repertoire, which has been able to describe tragic events in a vivid and striking way. Governments and rulers used and are still using music with propagandistic and mass control aims; patriotic composers consecrate their works to glorify belligerent ideals and galvanise the troops, while pacifist or subversive ones tries to condemn warfare. Music is also extensively used after wars with commemorative goals or therapeutic objectives. However, it is undoubtedly among common soldiers that music reveals its most authentic and frank aspects. Soldiers are indeed the only ones who live wars first hand, experiencing the tragedies of life on the frontline and bluntly describing them. The First World War is one of the historic events that have impressed the most the creative souls, because of its inhumanity and momentous nature. In fact, it is still source for a cultural and social debate in many countries, primarily Italy. World War One heritage and remembrance is indeed a controversial topic for the Italian civil society: during the last decades, its memory has been widely exploited by political opportunists and a sincere and a truthful representation of the events is far to be portrayed. The poorly constructed frame building housed three stories of tenement quarters, with ten apartments per floor. The rooms were five by ten feet, separated only by flimsy half inch thick boards. With just one exit through the entrance of the building, and that only by way of a 42 inch wide stairway, their only escape was destroyed, leaving eleven families of caged victims beyond help. Immigrants came to America with visions of streets paved in gold and a chance to rise through hard work. Americans who had lived longer in the country and who harbored rabid anti immigrant sentiments greeted them with derision and abuse. They saw immigrants as competition in an already dwindling job market, and bearers of the dreaded Catholicism, socialism, communism, and other foreign evils. Social Darwinism, in vogue at the time, only compounded the problems of the poor. Darwin s work in animal dominance was translated into social beliefs that benefitted successful businessmen and capitalist bullies. Social Darwinism claimed that the wealthy were dominant because they were superior, and the poor were so because they were inherently flawed. The effect of this theory was that no help was offered to the poor because they deserved none, and there was no call to level the playing field because the rich had triumphed through natural selection. With more and more people pouring into the major industrialized cities, new arrivals were forced (often tricked) into cheap and dirty tenement housing in the more dangerous areas of town, in order to afford bare subsistence in a society already glutted with humanity and twisted notions about nationality. • 18. H. G. Wells was a Famous English Author of Science-fiction... Wells, H. G. (1866 1946), was a famous English novelist, historian, science writer, and author of science fiction stories. Wells s novel Tono Bungay (1909) best reveals his varied talents. The novel, a story of the dishonest promotion of a patent medicine, contains social criticism tinged with satire. In it, Wells described trips in airplanes and submarines at a time when such journeys seemed like science fiction. Herbert George Wells was born on Sept. 21, 1866, in Bromley, Kent (now part of London). He drew on his lower middle class background in some of his finest novels, including Kipps (1905) and The History of Mr. Polly (1909). His training as a scientist is reflected in his imaginative science fiction stories. The Time Machine (1895) describes the adventures of a man who can transport himself into the future. Wells wrote about an invasion from Mars in The War of the Worlds (1898) and described a fictional utopia in The Shape of Things to Come (1933). Wells supported social reform in the novel The New Machiavelli (1911), in the nonfiction study The Work, Wealth and Happiness of Mankind (1932), and in other books. He wrote The Outline of History (1920), a story of the development of the human race. The book shows Wells s knowledge of biology and his liberal attitude in politics. • 25. Voltaire s View Of Candide Voltaire s Candide is a satirical work written in 1759 as a commentary during the Enlightenment. One of Voltaire s most famous works, it also functioned to reflect Voltaire s opinions. Candide is considered Voltaire s signature work in which he levels his sharpest criticism against nobility, philosophy, the church, and human cruelty. Though often considered a representative text of the Enlightenment era, the novel criticizes a number of Enlightenment philosophies. As reading and books were a sign of wealth in that time, the trend among nobility was reading. The criticisms and ridicule within the satirical nature of Candide had much to do with the nobility and their standards and ideas, especially in contrast with those of the lower classes. Through the form and technique of satire in Candide, Voltaire suggests the absurdity of societal principles and theories. Throughout the novel, Candide s teacher and philosopher, Pangloss, persists in his paternalistic optimism theory. He continually expresses his belief that this world is the best of all possible worlds and that everything happens and exists for a reason. One example is after the earthquake in Lisbon, killing 30,000 people, Pangloss comments, For, said he, all that is for the best. If there is a volcano at Lisbon it cannot be elsewhere. • 32. Eddie Mabo Case Study In the Eddie Mabo case, the case related to the ownership and control of land. However, aboriginal land rights were not recognised. In this case there were two major principles, which were terra nullius and native title. Terra Nullis is a legal principle indicating that a particular part of land doesn t belong to anyone or could be considered as no man s land. Only Captain Cook in 1770 claimed all of the east coast under international recognised law at the time. It followed three ground rules. The rules were if the land is uninhabited, any country could claim ownership and settle the land under the principle of terra nullius. If the land was inhabited, another country could request the leaders of the indigenous inhabitants for permission to make use of some of the land. This may involve making a land purchase, or coming to some other agreement such as treaty which was agreeable to the indigenous population. The last rule meant that a country already inhabited could be conquered through invasion and war, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Western Australia created the Land (Titles and Traditional usages) Act 1993. This Act was to end the common law of native title. Also, this Act was purposely created to deal with disputes between mining companies and indigenous people over the right to certain areas of land. Previously the Commonwealth Government tried to keep away from the conflicts between State Governments over indigenous land rights. However, the then PM Paul Keating of the Labour Government wanted to find a way to help those in need of rights. There was a risk with this decision as some other State Governments might try to legislate to stop indigenous land rights as Western Australia had done. This led to the Commonwealth Government putting forward its own legislation. The Act that was created was the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth). It was passed in late December 1993 and began in force in January 1st ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Quitting In Softball Fastpitch softball is a game of mental precision. It has its ups and downs. One game, you may feel as if you are unstoppable. While the following game may send you crying the entire car ride home. Even the rush of hitting a home run or the excitement of pitching a no hitter, are no match for the mental games that always seem to follow a disappointing play. There are moments in each athlete s softball career in which this disappointment becomes too much. It swallows them completely and consequently leaves them questioning why they ever started playing the game. It may even cause them to consider quitting. There have been moments in my softball career when quitting appeared to be the best option. Ordinarily, it is not difficult to believe quitting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Chaucer s Grecian Satire Of Chivalrous Knighthood Chaucer s Grecian Satire of Chivalrous Knighthood Chivalry, a honorable and noble code of conduct developed by knighthood for knighthood. It was a set of rules and morals for knights to adhere to and follow, and it was developed in the middle ages in the years 1170 through 1220. But by the time Chaucer wrote the Canterbury tales in the year 1400 chivalry s light was beginning wane. And perhaps Chaucer s story had something to do with its decline because, when Chaucer tells the Knights tail his story is a satire, he pokes fun at the old fashioned values of chivalry and the knights code of honor. Chaucer s portrayal of the knights tail exaggerates every tiny detail. Often when details are scrutinized over an author is trying to paint their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even the noblest of knights wouldn t go to the extent of what Thesius did for Palamon and Arcite s dispute. Building an arena a mile long A theatre so noble standing there I daresay none was finer anywhere Its circuit measured one full mile about, Its wall of stone, a circling moat without. As surely as a compass it was round, and sixty rows it stood above the ground, So that a man on one row wouldn t be... And allowing them to draft armies to fight over Emily Each of you shall bring back one hundred knights, Armed for the lists to represent your rights, All set to fight for her. For here s an oath. That this is what shall be, I tell you both Upon my word and as I am a knight: When we have seen which has the greater might That is to say, whichever of the two With his one hundred (as I ve said to you) Shall slay or from the lists the other drive To him I shall give Emily to wive. Here Theseus or rather Chaucer pushes chivalry to its extreme and it is in a mocking manner. Theseus also constructs massive temples for the Gods around his arena In the temple of Venus you could see (Wrought on the wall, and piteous to behold) The broken sleep, the lonely sighs, the cold And sacred tears, the sad laments; the burning, The fiery strokes of all desire and yearning That servants of love in this life endure; The oaths by which covenants they assure; Pleasure and ... • 35. Diabetes And Its Effects On Diabetes Diabetes is caused when a person s blood sugar level becomes too high. This is often described as a lifelong condition. There are two types of Diabetes within the UK; Type 1 Diabetes, where the body s immune system attacks and destroys the cells that the body uses to produce insulin. This can develop over weeks or even days. Type 2 Diabetes occurs when the body doesn t produce enough insulin or the body s cells do not react to insulin. Type 2 diabetes is far more common than type 1. Many people can suffer from type 2 Diabetes for many years without realising due to symptoms being so broad. Many people have blood sugar levels above the normal rate. This suggests that there is a risk of developing full diabetes in the future. However, sometimes it is not high enough to be diagnosed as having diabetes. This is known as pre diabetes. It is extremely important to diagnosis diabetes as soon as possible as it progressively gets worse over time if it s not treated (NHS.UK, 2016). There are many risk factors that can have the likelihood impact on developing diabetes, such as in males or females, food preferences, pregnancy, obesity, genetics, damaging effects and race and ethnicity. These risk factors and their trends will be discussed in depth later in this essay. It is very important to the detect diabetes from early stage as high glucose levels can damage the blood vessels, nerves and organs within the body. Mildly raised glucose levels which don t cause any symptoms can have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. The Battle Of The Gettysburg Today, the Battle of Gettysburg is considered one of the most important battles of the American Civil War. However, with 23,049 casualties on the Union side and 28,063 on the Confederate side, it can also be considered one of the bloodiest (Civil War Trust). Such heavy losses naturally rattled the entire nation and Americans on both sides began to question the war and what it stood for. As Americans gathered together at the consecration ceremony of the Gettysburg National Cemetery, the much acclaimed orator and politician Edward Everett delivered what was meant to be the Gettysburg Address. Yet, today, it is not Edward Everett s Gettysburg Address that the world remembers, but Abraham Lincoln s, who was invited to the ceremony almost as an afterthought. Lincoln s 272 words helped remake America by giving hope to its citizens at a time when they were at their lowest. For Everett, the Battle of Gettysburg was a parallel to the ancient Battle of Marathon and his moment up on the stage delivering his Address was his Pericles moment. The nineteenth century was a time of Greek revival for America, a time when America came to be considered the second Athens. This Greek revival manifested itself in everything from architecture to courses at universities, but perhaps most importantly, in orations at the time. Everett played a significant role in this Greek revival as he was not only a Greek scholar but also a proponent of classicism. With his Gettysburg Address, Everett hoped to ... • 37. Analysis Of Michael Jackson s The Rock Band Nirvana s... In 1992, Michael Jackson s Dangerous fell from the number one spot on the Billboard music charts, replaced by grunge rock band Nirvana s sophomore album, Nevermind, bringing alternative rock to mainstream and commercial success. Nirvana had started out in Seattle s underground music scene and consisted of lead singer and songwriter Kurt Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl. Their sound was a subgenre of alternative rock known as grunge, a combination of punk rock and heavy metal characterized by heavy feedback and nihilistic lyrics. Their first album, Bleach, was released under independent label Sub pop and found moderate success in the underground punk scene, but it was not until they were bought out by major label DCG Records that Nirvana was able to reach commercial success. This was significant for two reasons; one, it introduced a completely different sound of music to the mainstream audience and two, the songs were written by and represented Generation X. For these very reasons, Nevermind was able to reach the top of the music charts. Before Nevermind, mainstream music was largely controlled by old, baby boomer (those born after World War II to about 1965) music executives. This resulted in music that Generation X (those that were born after the baby boomers) could not relate to. Not only was Nevermind written by Generation Xers, it also perfectly captured the feelings of Generation X: angry disillusionment with older generations. In addition, ...
