Mummy Case of Paankhenamun Essay
Mummy Case of Paankhenamun Works Cited Not Included The work I chose to analyze was from a
wall fragment from the tomb of Ameneemhet and wife Hemet called Mummy Case of Paankhenamun,
found in the Art Institute of Chicago. The case of the Mummy Paankhenamun is one of the most
exquisite pieces of art produced by the Egyptian people during the time before Christ. This coffin
belonged to a man named Paankhenamun, which translates to He Lives for Amun (Hornblower
Spawforth 74). Paankhenamun was the doorkeeper of the temple of the god Amun, a position he
inherited from his father. Interestingly, X rays reveal that the mummy case of Paankhenamun does in
fact contain a mummy inside dating back to the years of c. 945 715 B.C. ... Show more content on

Nonetheless, during the 12th Dynasty, there was a temple built for Amun s worship and toward the
end of the 18th Dynasty, Amun s status increased even more and he became known as ...the great
royal deity who was Father of the Gods and ruler of Egypt and the people of its empire (Rosalie 104).
The Mummy Case of Paankhenamun was composed of a substance known as cartonnage, which was
usually made out of linen or papyrus strips bound together with a sticky substance in order to form a
flexible shell. After mummification, the wrapped body was placed in the coffin case through the back,
which was then laced up and a footboard was added for support. Only then the case was ready to be
painted. Such cartonnage cases as the case of Paankhenamun were normally placed inside one or more
layered wooden coffins and were also decorated. The innermost coffin was always in the shape of the
mummy and due to its utmost importance, it was the case with the richest decorations. The amazing
detail is still a wonder to many historians and anthropologists (Stockstad 120 3). Similarly to other
Egyptian funerary rituals, the case of Paankhenamun was also buried inside of a sarcophagus case, a
huge stone case for the coffin, and then inside of a decorated tomb, which most likely contained his
most valuable personal belongings and religious symbols. The decorations often consisted of images

Femininity In Antigone
The contrast between the female characters and the male characters within the aspect of masculinity
and femininity is of importance in the play Antigone. The play has been a topic of debate when
analyzing the rebellious female character, Antigone, and its role in society and its effect in the play.
Many contrasts between masculinity and femininity are encountered throughout the play. The constant
battle between gender and its role in society, makes the play of Antigone important to study to further
understand the play and how the Greek society used to be. Throughout the play, Homer, the author,
manages to portray the female characters as more masculine than the male characters through the
burial done by Antigone, Creon s cowardice, and the way ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The burial of Polynices, Antigone s brother, is the most fundamental action done by Antigone in the
play because it shows her rebellion against Creon, the king of Thebes and her uncle. Through this
rebellious attitude, Antigone manages to portray certain masculine traits and creates a paradox as to
how she acts and how women were supposed to act in the Greek society. As Antigone said, Ismene, I
am going to bury him. Will you come? Ismene answered back, Bury him! You have just said the new
law forbids it... And Antigone responded, Creon is not enough to stand in my way. (lines 31 35)
Antigone decides to go against all authority and bury her brother, which was surprising in those times
that a woman could challenge a powerful male establishment. Once Antigone unveils her view of
going against her own king, the reader learns that Antigone believes it s more important to follow the
gods rules than those rules imposed by the king. Ismene said, They mean a great deal to me, but I have
no strength To break laws that were made for the public good. (lines 64 65) Homer manages to portrait
the ideal women and

Mediator As Impartial Third Parties
Mediators serve as impartial third parties who help settle disputes between people. Their role is to aid
in communication between parties seeking a resolution in some matter. To accomplish this, mediators
must build credibility with the parties involved in the dispute and must garner confidence in their
abilities from those with whom they are working. They are able to achieve this when they demonstrate
the expertise necessary to manage the process of communication between the parties and help each
understand the other s position and goals. Mediators gain this proficiency by understanding the
complexities that cause conflict. In system level conflict, matters become exacerbated by the number
of participants and issues involved. In order to effectively help resolve system level conflict, mediators
must understand the individual parts, and how they are interrelated and operating, in order to best
serve the collective unit. Royce Kellogg certainly is culpable for the mess in which he finds himself
while Susan Barlow also shares in that responsibility. Neither the client nor the consultant fully
understood the effort and level of involvement they needed to provide in order to achieve their goals
for this merger. They find themselves in this state because neither have done their part to accomplish
what needs to be done. Kellogg had the responsibility to take a leadership role in this transition, yet he
seems to have chosen to ignore that fact. He failed to delineate his

Samuel Gompers Chapter Summary
For this assignment, I chose to read Samuel Gompers and Organized Labor in America written by
Harold C. Livesay and published in 1978. Samuel Gompers is the subject of the book, which discusses
his role in organizing the American Federation of Labor. Livesay evaluates Samuel Gompers struggle
to create the American Federation of Labor. He describes the struggle the American Federation of
Labor went through for survival. Basically, he tells the story of how Samuel Gompers worked his
whole adult life to create the American Federation of Labor. Livesay divided the book into ten
chapters, which were arranged chronologically. The headings for the chapter were appropriate for
each, as they described what would follow in each chapter. Each chapter ... Show more content on

He presented what I felt to be well researched and thorough information. He did not drift off of topic
or provide misleading information. He did not provide unnecessary information, I felt that all
information provided was essential for telling Gomper s story. However, I felt that even though the
chapters were divided chronologically, the author jumped around to different dates too much. I felt
that he should have waited to mention some things until there appropriate chapters. He repeated some
information that had been previously mentioned in other chapters. I felt that the chronological order of
the material is the way it should have been presented. Presenting it in a topical organization would
have probably thrown the reader off course. I had only partially learned of Samuel Gompers in my
studies and felt that the book enhanced my knowledge of how much he struggled to make his dream a
reality. The book tells how much he gave up to make his dream possible. I did not realize how ruthless
Gompers could be in making the AF of L what it became. Livesay mentions Sam rarely admitted to
his mistakes. But claiming credit and ducking blame was just one of the ways Gompers consolidated
his power (page 105). This explains that Gompers was not always the honest and hardworking man I
had thought he was. But again, I hadn t learned much about him. This book helped me to get to know
Gompers on a personal level. The references and quotes included

Music in Education
Why Music Is Important To Having A Complete Education
With school budget cuts, and no music instruments, more and more people are beginning to realize the
benefits of having music in education. Providing music as part of education helps develop intelligence
that leads to greater success in school and in life. Everyone from VH1 Save The Music to The
National Association For Music Education agree that, Every student in the nation should have an
education in the arts. These two companies are doing everything they can to get out the information
about music, and the importance of resorting music education as part of the core curriculum.

This calms me down and makes me think of other things. It helps get my mind off of the stress.
Michael E. DeBakey. M.D. says, Studying music encourages self discipline and diligence, traits that
carry over into intellectual pursuits and that leads to effective study and work habits. Dr, Fredrick
Tims also says that music education can result in significant decreases in anxiety, depression, and
loneliness will definitely result in a person being more relaxed, and having more success in life.
General Norman Schwarzkopf of the U.S. Army, retired said, During the Gulf War, the few
opportunities I had for relaxation I always listened to music, and it brought to me great peace of mind.
I think music education is very important and is very beneficial in many ways not just to children but
to everyone. Norman Schwarzkopf says, What a tragedy it would be if we lived in a world where
music was not taught to children. With efforts from VH1 Save the Music, and The National
Association for Music Education, schools that did not have music now are being given instruments
and money for their learning programs. This is helping kids all across America benefit from a
complete education. VH1 Save the Music reports about a boy, Troy Boston, and in closing I would
like to quote their story to show just how, in many ways music is benefiting his life.

The Competition Of BASF
BASF interacts in the agriculture, automotive and transportation, chemical, energy and resource, paint
and coating as well as in the plastic and rubber industry. The company produces and sells
polyurethanes, engineering plastics, styrenic foams and specialty plastic, which are used in the
consumer, transportation, construction and industrial sector. Polyurethanes, BASF s major product,
consists of the A component and B component. The chemical company Wanhua, which is located in
China, only sells the B component and is therefore not a competitor for BASF regarding the A
component and polyurethane.
Hence, the main competitors of BASF are Dow, Bayer and Huntsman (Coenen, 2014).

BASF offers products to its buyers at certain prices, who can either accept this price or try to
negotiate. Compared to its competitors, BASF justifies its prices towards its buyers through superior
and quicker service as well as greater value. Another fact which strengthens the bargaining power of
BASF is that the company can easily regulate and even shut down supplies to them. Hence, buyers
depend on BASF as they require the material in order to continue the manufacturing process. This
process is also working the other way around with BASF and its suppliers. On the one hand buyers
and suppliers cannot exist without BASF, on the other hand BASF cannot exist without its buyers and

Reasons For The Compromise Of 1850
September 8,1850, the Compromise of 1850 was drafted in order to keep the continuous peace
throughout the union. HISTORY.COM writes, The compromise was the last major involvement in
national affairs of Senators Henry Clay of Kentucky, Daniel Webster of Massachusetts, and John C.
Calhoun of South Carolina, all of whom had had exceptional careers in the Senate. Calhoun died the
same year, and Clay and Webster two years later. The book American History by Brinkley goes into

HISTORYPLACE.COM writes, After the Kansas Nebraska Act was passed, pro slavery and anti
slavery supporters rushed in to settle Kansas to affect the outcome of the first election held there after
the law went into effect. Pro slavery settlers carried the election but were charged with fraud by anti
slavery settlers, and the results were not accepted by them. The anti slavery settlers held another
election, however pro slavery settlers refused to vote. This resulted in the establishment of two
opposing legislatures within the Kansas territory. Violence soon erupted, with the anti slavery forces
led by John Brown. The territory earned the nickname bleeding Kansas as the death toll rose. The
book American History by Brinkley shows the populous just how effective the Kansas Nebraska Act
really was. This compromise put in place a new, second territory (Kansas) because congress thought
that Kansas was more likely to become a slave state; as usual congress was wrong, Kansas had voted
to become a free state and because of popular sovereignty they were able to do this; however, they
held the election again this time allowing Missourians to vote as well, and they did in fact become a
slave state. HISTORY.COM explains, Stephen A. Douglas, wanting to ensure a northern
transcontinental railroad route that would benefit his Illinois constituents, introduced a bill to organize
the territory of Nebraska in order to bring the area under civil control. But southern senators objected;
the region lay north of latitude 36°30′ and so under the terms of the Missouri Compromise of 1820
would become a free state. To gain the southerners support, Douglas proposed creating two territories
in the area Kansas and Nebraska and repealing the Missouri Compromise line. The question of
whether the territories would be slave or free would be left to the settlers under

Abstract
Leadership Styles:
Charismatic Leadership Style
What is a leader? What are the true qualities of a leader? Am I a leader, or are you a leader? Over the
years, I believe that the meaning of the word leader has be degrader to almost nothing. These days,
everyone is calling themselves a leader, but do they really understand leadership or have what it takes
to lead. In an article, written by F. John Reh, entitled What is a Leader , he defined a leader to be a
person who has a vision, a drive and a commitment to achieve that vision, and the skills to make it
happen (Reh, F. John. 2014). In the area of health care ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of these disadvantages include that it may develop reliance on the leader by the employees.
Some employees may feel that without the leader s guidance or assistance the organization will not
succeed. This saddles the leader with a huge responsibility for both keeping the company running and
motivating the staff (Frost, Shelley. 2016). Another disadvantage is that some charismatic leaders may
be lacking or lose clarity. It is believed that charismatic leader sometimes gets so caught up with their
control and are unable to clearly see potential dangers with the company (Frost, Shelley. 2016). This is
because of the high level confidence they hold within themselves. It may look to crowd their minds to
not see the treats that present themselves in the

Analysis Of Sam Raimi s Spider Man 2
In Sam Raimi s Spider Man 2 it shows a struggling college student; Peter Parker, becoming enthralled

this is later explored by his end of day at Aunt May s house where all the supporting characters meet.
These characters being Harry Osborn, Mary Jane, and Aunt May. Direct conflict between Harry and

Essay about James Joyce s The Dead
James Joyce s The Dead
In The Dead, James Joyce lets symbolism flow freely throughout his short story. James Joyce utilizes
his main characters and objects in The Dead to impress upon his readers his view of Dublin s crippled
condition. Not only does this apply to just The Dead, Joyce s symbolic themes also exude from his
fourteen other short stories that make up the rest of Joyce s book, Dubliners, to describe his hometown
s other issues of corruption and death that fuel Dublin s paralysis. After painting this grim picture of
Dublin, James Joyce uses it to express his frustration and to explain his realistic view that the only
solution to the issues with Dublin depends on a move to the West and towards a new life, rather than

Coupled with his depiction of Dublin s immobile status through his characters, James Joyce also
exemplifies his theme of paralysis through snow. In Daniel R. Schwarz s psychoanalytic criticism of
The Dead, he explains that the snow imagery focuses our attention on a world outside Gabriel...where
as ice, it suggests the emotional sterility of a world reduced to social gestures, empty talk, and loveless
relationships (Schwarz 123). However, I disagree with Schwarz and believe that James Joyce uses
snow to symbolically represent the cold and dead Dublin due to its uncertain political period. When
Gabriel first enters his aunt s party, A light fringe of snow lay like a cape on the shoulders of his
overcoat and like toecaps on the toes of his galoshes; and as the buttons of his overcoat slipped with a
squeaking noise through the snow stiffened frieze, a cold fragrant air from out of doors escaped from
crevices and folds (The Dead 23). This symbolism comes back at the end of The Dead through Gabriel
s later thoughts on how the snow was falling on every part of the dark central plain, on the treeless
hills...falling upon every part of the lonely churchyard, and touching both the living and the dead,
symbolizing that not only Gabriel, but his entire country, both the living and the lifeless had been
united in

Jekyll And Hyde Dualism Analysis
Dualism Explored Duality is a literary idea that allows for two separate and contradictory elements to
coincide with the other in the creation of harmony. Many circumstances call for the opposite elements
to highly contrast in nature as these elements evolve from a singular entity into that which is two
ideas. In this insular item, both aspects must be present in the picture of the item or the representation
is incomplete. Shakespeare and Robert Lewis Stevenson entertain the idea of dualism within certain
items and characters. Romeo and Juliet and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde use various
herbal supplements and elements that represent both life and death. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are
contradictory characters residing in a singular body. Medicinal and toxic substances are explored
within both literary works as a singular item carries two representations that hold the potential of both.
It is through the concept of life and death that the literary use of duality allows for a singular entity,
whether it be a plant or person, to hold two different aspect which promotes either the life or death
notion. The duality of life and death is a common theme in relation to the use of herbs as tonics to cure
and to aid, while the potency of the same herb can also cause death. The inclusion of the earth and the
elements that can be combined to either provide healing medicinal properties or a method for death is
a common idea that most characters in in Romeo and Juliet

Character Analysis Of Hugo
Hugo, a film released in 2011, tells the story of a young boy who has had a rough life, who meets a
girl that helps guide him on his journey. Directed by Martin Scorsese, Hugo is a historical film that is
based on the life of Georges Melies, a French illusionist and film director who contributed heavily to
the early developments of cinema. The film connects Melies life to the coming of age story of the
main character Hugo, in a way that brings history to from textbooks and articles to a magical
cinematic experience. In the film, there isn t one single recognizable source of narration. The narration
is from an outside perspective, the story not being told by any of the characters in the film. This is
done in a way that shifts from Hugo to Isabelle to Georges giving insight on each of the characters
internal thoughts and feelings. Based on Aristotle s poetics, the plot of the story can be broken into
several elements. The hero is Hugo, a young boy living in poverty in the early twentieth century. His
life has been very rough, many of his family members dying and leaving him alone in the world. This
is Hugo s weakness, that he has nobody. His loneliness is one of the biggest flaws in his character,
because in his situation it makes him very vulnerable. Being a young boy living in the walls of a train
station is very dangerous, and the fact that he has nobody that would be concerned if something were
to happen to him makes it worse. Before he meets Isabelle, his life consisted

The aim of this dissertation is to observe whether female or male students have a similar or different
perspective of the meaning of consent in a sexual context; specifically, on the subject of campus
sexual assault.

In the United States (U.S.), sexual assault on campuses remains to make national headlines, and now

In the song Anything Goes performed by vocalist Ella Fitzgerald, the band plays without vocals
around one minute and fifty four seconds. The band is improvising because it is a new melody playing
over the original chord progression. The aspects of the music that helped me determine this was
because when it switched to the band solo, I could hear the original tune of the song and could sing
along as if the vocalist was still singing, even though there was a new melody. Improvising in jazz has
a slightly different meaning than how most people use it today. Before taking this course, I would ve
thought that improvising was to perform something spontaneously. Whereas in jazz, although it still is
somewhat spontaneous,

Junk Food
Junk food has been getting a bad rap recently in society. It is believed that junk food is a leading factor
in childhood obesity and should not be allowed in public schools. Due to this many school systems
have enacted bans, or strict regulations that limit or completely exclude junk food in schools. Junk
food should not be banned in schools because schools profit and are able to fund education and
extracurricular activities through selling it, junk food isn t as harmful as one would think, and even if
schools ban junk food students can still be at risk of obesity through the use of outside sources.
Schools make huge profit through the use of vending machines and selling junk food that help fund
after school activities and education. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many studies that show junk food isn t as harmful as many would imagine. According to
Radford, A study followed nearly 20,000 students from kindergarten through the eighth grade in 1,000
public and private schools. The researchers examined the children s weight and found that in the
eighth grade, 35.5 percent of kids in schools with junk food were overweight while 34.8 percent of
those in schools without it were overweight (1). These researchers came to the conclusion through this
experiment that junk food in school wasn t as serious in issue as one would think. Junk food isn t
exactly available twenty four seven while students are in school. As stated by Rosenthal There really
isn t a lot of opportunity for children to eat while their in school, or at least eat endlessly, compared to
when their at home. As a result whether or not junk food is available to them in at school may not
have much bearing on how much junk food they eat (6). For lack of a better statement, students can t
eat as much at school as they can when their at home. Whether kids have access to junk food or not, it
is believed them gaining weight from it isn t an issue. As quoted by Radford, kids with access to junk
food at school were no heavier than those without (2). To be blunt, kids who eat junk food aren t going
to be any heavier than anyone else.

Meagan Intake Questions
As we did the intake questions, Meagan and I discovered that C.M. s mother recently passed away.
When I say recently, I mean like a couple of months ago. I kept thinking about C.M. and what she
could possibly be thinking and feeling. I thought about how young she is to be making decisions about
wanting to be a girl even though she has a boy body. I thought a lot about what I even think about the
whole situation and what I thought Jesus would do in this situation. Looking back now, something
Bob Goff says a lot comes to mind which is, Bring them close. He spoke in chapel the other week and
talked about bringing people close when you do not agree with them or when they are struggling or
having a hard time. He urged all of us to, Love everyone always. This is what Jesus has called me too.
I did my best that night to love C.M. and care for her as best I could. I had so many feelings
throughout the whole situation. I felt frustrated with Meagan because of the comments she was
making. Sometimes I feel like she just forgets that she is talking about real human beings. She would
not say half of the stuff she does if the patients were standing right in front of her listening to her talk
about them; I truly feel like she would be mortified. When she made a couple of the comments and

Supernatural Elements And Supernatural Elements In...
Supernatural and temporal elements are popular devices used in romantic literature. Supernatural
elements are things that go beyond the natural realm such as spirits and demons, and temporal
elements are a part of the physical world such as nature and flaws in humanity. Nathaniel Hawthorne s
The Scarlet Letter, a romantic novel, consists of mystic and secular facets that enhance the plot and
tone of the novel as well as creating conflicts. Supernatural elements provide contrast between Puritan
beliefs and witchcraft, and temporal elements provide contrast between the sins and flaws of society
and the purity of nature. The devil is a supernatural being that imposes itself into the character, Roger
Chillingworth. The temporal fault of hypocrisy shows in Dimmesdale s character and the judgmental
nature of the townspeople. The role of the forest is both a supernatural and temporal element because
it is a very spiritual place and provides an escape from the secular world. Hawthorne uses dark
supernatural elements to characterize Roger Chillingworth. Hester s affair makes Chillingworth an
envious and vengeful man, and his need for revenge turns him into a fiend. Chillingworth s physical
appearance changes for the worst in the course of seven years, old Roger Chillingworth was a striking
evidence of man s faculty of transforming himself into a devil (Hawthorne 156). Chillingworth s
appearance changes from a studious and scholarly man to a stooped and deformed creature with red
glowing eyes. Pearl observes Chillingworth s hideous and terrifying features and suspects that he is
the Black Man. Not only is Chillingworth s appearance effected by the supernatural elements of the
devil, his demonic character is exposed when he leeches onto Dimmesdale. Chillingworth seems to
embrace his demonic identity when Hester condemns him for torturing Dimmesdale and making his
life hell. Chillingworth admits to doing so, but refuses to stop because Dimmesdale deserves it.
Hawthorne uses the evil supernatural elements of the devil to make Roger Chillingworth a symbol of
the Black Man. His reason for doing so provides grave conflict in the lives of Hester, Pearl, and
especially Dimmesdale. The comparison of Chillingworth to the devil

Capra s film is dramatically enhanced by its patriotic representation of our National s capitol, with
particular emphasis on the splendor of the Capitol and strength of the Lincoln Memorial. These
images are constant visual reminders of the freedom and strength of personal choice provided by our

4G Long Term Evolution Case Analysis
Abstract
Telecommunication technologies have evolved rapidly over the past decades, a situation which led to
the arrival of the 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) to provide faster data speed better than the legacy
3G EVDO data technology. Certainly, LTE has been of great benefit to both individuals and
corporations across the globe. However, operators are often faced with challenges such us Capacity
constraints, slow throughput due to increased numbers of usage, interference from other wireless
equipment, as well as poor coverage issues.
Over the years, telecommunication operators have been adopting strategies to mitigate all these
challenges in order to improve user experience. This research focused specifically on the optimization

It is also believed that the common issues that occur in the LTE network could be reduced drastically
if attention if given to certain engineering practices. The research revealed and discussed some of
those factors.
Furthermore, to understand the concept of LTE optimization in the practical sense, a case study was
done with drive test data collected on Nex tech wireless network and a detailed analysis was made and
some issues were identified and rectified in the network.
By and large, the findings from the research and the deductions from the case study only proved that
there is a tremendous benefit in adopting a quality optimization strategy in any LTE network. More so,
not only do the subscribers get great quality of service but the operators also make maximum financial
gains.
Introduction
LTE network optimization remains an integral part of the LTE network. The main objective of
optimizing the LTE network is to ensure that (Ue) has good service which translates to good user
experience such as high data speed. The LTE optimization approach usually follows a process.
Optimization engineers follow this process to find out where the problems in the network are as well
as identifying what the problems are and then subsequently proposing ways to resolving them.
The first stage of the process is data collection where very sophisticated tools and

Dairy Cows Rumination Time
Rumination is influenced by various external and internal factors such as acute stress, disease, diet
composition, fodder quality, cow grouping, climatic conditions, reproduction status and other health
statuses (Calamari, et al., 2014). Studies conducted by Soriani, Panella, Calamari (2013), uncovered
differences in the rumination times of healthy and sick cows. It was identified that lower ruminations
times show signs of heath disorders. Identifying such patterns in dairy cows will enable an early
detection of diseases and in some cases will save the cow/s from death. Rumination Time data can be
also used to assess relationships to the incidence of clinical symptoms of diseases and metabolic
inflammatory indices in the blood (Soriani, Panella, Calamari, 2013). As Calving season approaches,
cows display a change in the behavioral patterns and also change in rumination patters. Conditions
associated with calving kill 31% of the dairy cattle worldwide (Menzies , Bryson, McCallion ... Show

the calving period, is related to various health conditions, inflammation blood markers and diseases
commonly found during the first lactation month (Calamari, et al., 2014). Rumination time is also a
very accurate parameter for an early identification of metabolic disorders such as ruminal acidosis,
which is caused by feeding cows with high level of fast digesting carbohydrates such as Barley. The

Analysis Of Canzon Septimi A 8
Many ensembles across the world dedicate time to learning and performing early renaissance music.
When practicing music not from this era, it is easy to perform it incorrectly and not give the work the
justice it deserves. Ensembles that do not take careful time and consideration to study the style of
early music and the techniques they must use when performing these pieces, ultimately fail when
attempting to perform early music. When performing early music, such as Canzon Septimi Toni a 8,
musicians must study the styles and techniques musicians in that time period implemented, reciprocate
the tone, timbre and articulations used in the renaissance era for this specific work, transpose the piece
to their instrument, and know the differences between early and modern instrumentation needed to
perform the piece. Giovanni Gabrieli, the man who composed Canzon Septimi Toni a 8, was a well
known Renaissance composer born in 1556. Not only that, but he was an organist and teacher who
learned everything he knew from his uncle, Andrea Gabrieli, whom he has to thank for his musical
upbringing. Gabrieli himself was highly regarded and praised for his contributions to instrumental
music for church use as well as choral and instrumental motets. Gabrieli also made use of the San
Marco church layout; the two separate choir lofts in the church allowed him to create salient spatial
effects, which in turn heavily influenced his style of music. Unfortunately, his health began to suffer

The Reduction Of Weight Of Heavy Vehicles
Introduction
The need for reduction in weight of heavy vehicles is increasing day after day. Reduction of weight
results in reduced fuel consumption which results in a decrease in the emission of greenhouse gas. For
reducing the weight, higher strength to weight ratio steels would be required. Not only is a high
strength, but the steel also requires to be adequately formable and greater energy absorption capacity.
Good formability is essential for designing vehicle components with complex shapes. Dual phase
(DP) steels are quite promising material for these purposes. DP steels can already achieve strength in
the range of 500 1200 MPa with a total elongation of 15 25 %. Dual phase steels contain more than
1% alloying element among which major alloying elements are C, Si, Mn, and there are some other
alloying elements also.
Among different grades of Dual phase steels, the primary concern here is DP600 steels. A general
chemical composition of DP 600 steel is tabulated in Table 1 below.

Monica, Augustine s mother, was a devout Christian and tried to raise her son as one also. Augustine

could no longer pay the tuition fees. Augustine turned to alcohol, gambling, and prostitutes. A year
later Augustine was able to return to school and studied law. When his studies were completed at the
age of eighteen he became a teacher. Augustine, despite his mother s wishes for him to be a Christian,

that therefore no one was responsible for his or her sins. Monica fervently prayed for her son s
conversion, but he was stubborn and refused to do so. A year later, while teaching in Milan, Augustine
met Plato and Bishop Ambrose.
Soon Manichaeism became increasingly dissatisfying for Augustine. He became fascinated with the
teachings of Plato and was soon convinced that there was a single god. Augustine even began
attending mass to hear Ambrose preach. It seemed as if Augustine was working to reform his life, but
soon his lust took over and he reverted back to his previous ways. Augustine continued to teach, but

Its unprecedented economic boom has earned him the name Celtic Tiger . However, can the economic
success of Ireland only be explained by a European integration and the simple result of an aid policy
and funding? This essay will describe the beginnings of integration of Ireland into the EU. Then, the
essay will show that it was a successful integration and will do so via analysis of it. Lastly this essay
will show that this success was part of Ireland itself and that its economic improvements cannot be
reduced to community transfers. In the decades before integration, there was doubt on the ability of a
small poor country like Ireland, to survive when there existed such a large development gap between
the other countries in the community. Free competition, established by Article 3 of the Treaty of
Rome, was likely to disadvantage Irish companies, family type businesses were very vulnerable to
external pressure, and which, moreover, often owed their survival to the regime of border protection.
There was also doubt that the chances of a small peripheral and post colonial state, still economically
dependent on the United Kingdom, to find its place in an international organization alongside major
industrialized countries. (Kaiser et al. 2004) The economic successes of the EEC were at the end of
the 50s, which encouraged the United Kingdom to be more interested in the EU. The UK turnaround

Summary Of The Documentary, Darwin s Dangerous Idea
The documentary, Darwin s Dangerous Idea tells the story of Charles Darwin s conception of his
theory of natural selection, and how it explains the evolutionary process and species adaptation. The
story begins with a brief overview of his 5 year stint on the HMS Beagle as the ship s naturalist,
during her South American voyage. The film shows how Mr. Darwin collected fossils and many
species of animals and birds from many different regions especially the Galapagos Islands. It portrays
Mr. Darwin s return to England and his struggle between the mainstream religious beliefs and his
personal beliefs of how different species came to be. Additionally, the documentary covers his
presentation of fossils and ideas to the scientific community, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Darwin has listed different names for each bird, they are all variations of Finches, apparently
descended from a common ancestor. However, each bird has a different length beak and many are
differently shaped to allow them to more efficiently eat the available fodder. Coincidentally, Mr.
Darwin failed to catalog specifically where each bird came from and had to ask the ship s captain to
supply this information along with his collection to Mr. Gould for identification and cataloging. An
interesting part of the conversation between Mr. Darwin and the ship s captain is the captain s
argument for the fixity of species, that each one was created by God exactly the way it was, and
placed on each island, and that it is heresy to say that they came to be there any other way. After
presenting his collection of fossils to the scientific community, Charles Darwin starts to ponder what
really causes the varieties in species that he had personally witnessed, and why some species go
extinct. This is the point where he begins to form the basic theory of natural selection, that the species
with specific traits that allow them to survive best and reproduce effectively in their given
environment are what has caused the different adaptations over long periods of time. Moreover, while
speaking to his cousin Emma, whom he later marries, he uses the example of dog breeding to
exemplify this point, dogs are bred together in order to enhance and continue specific physical
characteristics. For

The Problems With Birds Migrating Birds
There are many issues with aircrafts interacting with wild birds. The birds can get sucked into the
plane engines and harm the plane causing it to lose power and crash. Solutions are very limited due to
birds migrating, you can put stuff in order to keep local birds away, but you can t with migrating birds.
There is research to be done to figure out the best solution to this problem. There is two ways of
looking at this when birds hit planes causing damage to the plane or even bringing the plane down.
Much like, the canadian goose that hit the plane and brought it down into the Hudson River. This is a
big wildlife conservation what we can do to stop this from happening. There has been multiple studies
done to see if lights will help the birds see the planes coming so they will move out off the way of the
oncoming planes. The other way of looking at it is the planes harming the way the birds are living. A
lot of airports are by where the birds will nest. Also, the noise of the plane interferes and hurts the
roosting and feeding of the birds. This is a big wildlife management if these birds are being bothered
and put out of the way of where the birds are supposed to live, then there are solutions for new airports
being built in different, bird free, areas. The top priority is to keep the wild birds safe and to keep them
in their way of life and not to alter the way the birds live.

In the late eighteenth century, after the United States of America achieved their independence from
their former ruler, American leaders decided that their country was in need of a new document to rule

law since its ratification. As part of its Bill of Rights, the Fourth Amendment protects American
citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures . While the internet did not exist for a couple more

  • 2. Mummy Case of Paankhenamun Essay Mummy Case of Paankhenamun Works Cited Not Included The work I chose to analyze was from a wall fragment from the tomb of Ameneemhet and wife Hemet called Mummy Case of Paankhenamun, found in the Art Institute of Chicago. The case of the Mummy Paankhenamun is one of the most exquisite pieces of art produced by the Egyptian people during the time before Christ. This coffin belonged to a man named Paankhenamun, which translates to He Lives for Amun (Hornblower Spawforth 74). Paankhenamun was the doorkeeper of the temple of the god Amun, a position he inherited from his father. Interestingly, X rays reveal that the mummy case of Paankhenamun does in fact contain a mummy inside dating back to the years of c. 945 715 B.C. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nonetheless, during the 12th Dynasty, there was a temple built for Amun s worship and toward the end of the 18th Dynasty, Amun s status increased even more and he became known as ...the great royal deity who was Father of the Gods and ruler of Egypt and the people of its empire (Rosalie 104). The Mummy Case of Paankhenamun was composed of a substance known as cartonnage, which was usually made out of linen or papyrus strips bound together with a sticky substance in order to form a flexible shell. After mummification, the wrapped body was placed in the coffin case through the back, which was then laced up and a footboard was added for support. Only then the case was ready to be painted. Such cartonnage cases as the case of Paankhenamun were normally placed inside one or more layered wooden coffins and were also decorated. The innermost coffin was always in the shape of the mummy and due to its utmost importance, it was the case with the richest decorations. The amazing detail is still a wonder to many historians and anthropologists (Stockstad 120 3). Similarly to other Egyptian funerary rituals, the case of Paankhenamun was also buried inside of a sarcophagus case, a huge stone case for the coffin, and then inside of a decorated tomb, which most likely contained his most valuable personal belongings and religious symbols. The decorations often consisted of images ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Femininity In Antigone The contrast between the female characters and the male characters within the aspect of masculinity and femininity is of importance in the play Antigone. The play has been a topic of debate when analyzing the rebellious female character, Antigone, and its role in society and its effect in the play. Many contrasts between masculinity and femininity are encountered throughout the play. The constant battle between gender and its role in society, makes the play of Antigone important to study to further understand the play and how the Greek society used to be. Throughout the play, Homer, the author, manages to portray the female characters as more masculine than the male characters through the burial done by Antigone, Creon s cowardice, and the way ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The burial of Polynices, Antigone s brother, is the most fundamental action done by Antigone in the play because it shows her rebellion against Creon, the king of Thebes and her uncle. Through this rebellious attitude, Antigone manages to portray certain masculine traits and creates a paradox as to how she acts and how women were supposed to act in the Greek society. As Antigone said, Ismene, I am going to bury him. Will you come? Ismene answered back, Bury him! You have just said the new law forbids it... And Antigone responded, Creon is not enough to stand in my way. (lines 31 35) Antigone decides to go against all authority and bury her brother, which was surprising in those times that a woman could challenge a powerful male establishment. Once Antigone unveils her view of going against her own king, the reader learns that Antigone believes it s more important to follow the gods rules than those rules imposed by the king. Ismene said, They mean a great deal to me, but I have no strength To break laws that were made for the public good. (lines 64 65) Homer manages to portrait the ideal women and ... • 4. Mediator As Impartial Third Parties Mediators serve as impartial third parties who help settle disputes between people. Their role is to aid in communication between parties seeking a resolution in some matter. To accomplish this, mediators must build credibility with the parties involved in the dispute and must garner confidence in their abilities from those with whom they are working. They are able to achieve this when they demonstrate the expertise necessary to manage the process of communication between the parties and help each understand the other s position and goals. Mediators gain this proficiency by understanding the complexities that cause conflict. In system level conflict, matters become exacerbated by the number of participants and issues involved. In order to effectively help resolve system level conflict, mediators must understand the individual parts, and how they are interrelated and operating, in order to best serve the collective unit. Royce Kellogg certainly is culpable for the mess in which he finds himself while Susan Barlow also shares in that responsibility. Neither the client nor the consultant fully understood the effort and level of involvement they needed to provide in order to achieve their goals for this merger. They find themselves in this state because neither have done their part to accomplish what needs to be done. Kellogg had the responsibility to take a leadership role in this transition, yet he seems to have chosen to ignore that fact. He failed to delineate his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Samuel Gompers Chapter Summary For this assignment, I chose to read Samuel Gompers and Organized Labor in America written by Harold C. Livesay and published in 1978. Samuel Gompers is the subject of the book, which discusses his role in organizing the American Federation of Labor. Livesay evaluates Samuel Gompers struggle to create the American Federation of Labor. He describes the struggle the American Federation of Labor went through for survival. Basically, he tells the story of how Samuel Gompers worked his whole adult life to create the American Federation of Labor. Livesay divided the book into ten chapters, which were arranged chronologically. The headings for the chapter were appropriate for each, as they described what would follow in each chapter. Each chapter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He presented what I felt to be well researched and thorough information. He did not drift off of topic or provide misleading information. He did not provide unnecessary information, I felt that all information provided was essential for telling Gomper s story. However, I felt that even though the chapters were divided chronologically, the author jumped around to different dates too much. I felt that he should have waited to mention some things until there appropriate chapters. He repeated some information that had been previously mentioned in other chapters. I felt that the chronological order of the material is the way it should have been presented. Presenting it in a topical organization would have probably thrown the reader off course. I had only partially learned of Samuel Gompers in my studies and felt that the book enhanced my knowledge of how much he struggled to make his dream a reality. The book tells how much he gave up to make his dream possible. I did not realize how ruthless Gompers could be in making the AF of L what it became. Livesay mentions Sam rarely admitted to his mistakes. But claiming credit and ducking blame was just one of the ways Gompers consolidated his power (page 105). This explains that Gompers was not always the honest and hardworking man I had thought he was. But again, I hadn t learned much about him. This book helped me to get to know Gompers on a personal level. The references and quotes included ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Music in Education Why Music Is Important To Having A Complete Education With school budget cuts, and no music instruments, more and more people are beginning to realize the benefits of having music in education. Providing music as part of education helps develop intelligence that leads to greater success in school and in life. Everyone from VH1 Save The Music to The National Association For Music Education agree that, Every student in the nation should have an education in the arts. Dr, Fredrick Tims also says that music education can result in significant decreases in anxiety, depression, and loneliness will definitely result in a person being more relaxed, and having more success in life. General Norman Schwarzkopf of the U.S. Army, retired said, During the Gulf War, the few opportunities I had for relaxation I always listened to music, and it brought to me great peace of mind. I think music education is very important and is very beneficial in many ways not just to children but to everyone. Norman Schwarzkopf says, What a tragedy it would be if we lived in a world where music was not taught to children. With efforts from VH1 Save the Music, and The National Association for Music Education, schools that did not have music now are being given instruments and money for their learning programs. HISTORYPLACE.COM writes, After the Kansas Nebraska Act was passed, pro slavery and anti slavery supporters rushed in to settle Kansas to affect the outcome of the first election held there after the law went into effect. Pro slavery settlers carried the election but were charged with fraud by anti slavery settlers, and the results were not accepted by them. The anti slavery settlers held another election, however pro slavery settlers refused to vote. This resulted in the establishment of two opposing legislatures within the Kansas territory. Violence soon erupted, with the anti slavery forces led by John Brown. The territory earned the nickname bleeding Kansas as the death toll rose. The book American History by Brinkley shows the populous just how effective the Kansas Nebraska Act really was. This compromise put in place a new, second territory (Kansas) because congress thought that Kansas was more likely to become a slave state; as usual congress was wrong, Kansas had voted to become a free state and because of popular sovereignty they were able to do this; however, they held the election again this time allowing Missourians to vote as well, and they did in fact become a slave state. HISTORY.COM explains, Stephen A. Douglas, wanting to ensure a northern transcontinental railroad route that would benefit his Illinois constituents, introduced a bill to organize the territory of Nebraska in order to bring the area under civil control. But southern senators objected; the region lay north of latitude 36°30′ and so under the terms of the Missouri Compromise of 1820 would become a free state. To gain the southerners support, Douglas proposed creating two territories in the area Kansas and Nebraska and repealing the Missouri Compromise line. James Joyce utilizes his main characters and objects in The Dead to impress upon his readers his view of Dublin s crippled condition. Not only does this apply to just The Dead, Joyce s symbolic themes also exude from his fourteen other short stories that make up the rest of Joyce s book, Dubliners, to describe his hometown s other issues of corruption and death that fuel Dublin s paralysis. After painting this grim picture of Dublin, James Joyce uses it to express his frustration and to explain his realistic view that the only solution to the issues with Dublin depends on a move to the West and towards a new life, rather than ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Coupled with his depiction of Dublin s immobile status through his characters, James Joyce also exemplifies his theme of paralysis through snow. In Daniel R. Schwarz s psychoanalytic criticism of The Dead, he explains that the snow imagery focuses our attention on a world outside Gabriel...where as ice, it suggests the emotional sterility of a world reduced to social gestures, empty talk, and loveless relationships (Schwarz 123). However, I disagree with Schwarz and believe that James Joyce uses snow to symbolically represent the cold and dead Dublin due to its uncertain political period. When Gabriel first enters his aunt s party, A light fringe of snow lay like a cape on the shoulders of his overcoat and like toecaps on the toes of his galoshes; and as the buttons of his overcoat slipped with a squeaking noise through the snow stiffened frieze, a cold fragrant air from out of doors escaped from crevices and folds (The Dead 23). This symbolism comes back at the end of The Dead through Gabriel s later thoughts on how the snow was falling on every part of the dark central plain, on the treeless hills...falling upon every part of the lonely churchyard, and touching both the living and the dead, symbolizing that not only Gabriel, but his entire country, both the living and the lifeless had been united in ... • 13. Jekyll And Hyde Dualism Analysis Dualism Explored Duality is a literary idea that allows for two separate and contradictory elements to coincide with the other in the creation of harmony. Many circumstances call for the opposite elements to highly contrast in nature as these elements evolve from a singular entity into that which is two ideas. In this insular item, both aspects must be present in the picture of the item or the representation is incomplete. Shakespeare and Robert Lewis Stevenson entertain the idea of dualism within certain items and characters. Romeo and Juliet and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde use various herbal supplements and elements that represent both life and death. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are contradictory characters residing in a singular body. Medicinal and toxic substances are explored within both literary works as a singular item carries two representations that hold the potential of both. It is through the concept of life and death that the literary use of duality allows for a singular entity, whether it be a plant or person, to hold two different aspect which promotes either the life or death notion. The duality of life and death is a common theme in relation to the use of herbs as tonics to cure and to aid, while the potency of the same herb can also cause death. Directed by Martin Scorsese, Hugo is a historical film that is based on the life of Georges Melies, a French illusionist and film director who contributed heavily to the early developments of cinema. The film connects Melies life to the coming of age story of the main character Hugo, in a way that brings history to from textbooks and articles to a magical cinematic experience. In the film, there isn t one single recognizable source of narration. The narration is from an outside perspective, the story not being told by any of the characters in the film. This is done in a way that shifts from Hugo to Isabelle to Georges giving insight on each of the characters internal thoughts and feelings. His life has been very rough, many of his family members dying and leaving him alone in the world. This is Hugo s weakness, that he has nobody. His loneliness is one of the biggest flaws in his character, because in his situation it makes him very vulnerable. • 23. Supernatural Elements And Supernatural Elements In... Supernatural and temporal elements are popular devices used in romantic literature. Supernatural elements are things that go beyond the natural realm such as spirits and demons, and temporal elements are a part of the physical world such as nature and flaws in humanity. Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, a romantic novel, consists of mystic and secular facets that enhance the plot and tone of the novel as well as creating conflicts. Supernatural elements provide contrast between Puritan beliefs and witchcraft, and temporal elements provide contrast between the sins and flaws of society and the purity of nature. The devil is a supernatural being that imposes itself into the character, Roger Chillingworth. The temporal fault of hypocrisy shows in Dimmesdale s character and the judgmental nature of the townspeople. The role of the forest is both a supernatural and temporal element because it is a very spiritual place and provides an escape from the secular world. It is also believed that the common issues that occur in the LTE network could be reduced drastically if attention if given to certain engineering practices. The research revealed and discussed some of those factors. Furthermore, to understand the concept of LTE optimization in the practical sense, a case study was done with drive test data collected on Nex tech wireless network and a detailed analysis was made and some issues were identified and rectified in the network. By and large, the findings from the research and the deductions from the case study only proved that there is a tremendous benefit in adopting a quality optimization strategy in any LTE network. More so, not only do the subscribers get great quality of service but the operators also make maximum financial gains. Introduction LTE network optimization remains an integral part of the LTE network. The main objective of optimizing the LTE network is to ensure that (Ue) has good service which translates to good user experience such as high data speed. The LTE optimization approach usually follows a process. Optimization engineers follow this process to find out where the problems in the network are as well as identifying what the problems are and then subsequently proposing ways to resolving them. The first stage of the process is data collection where very sophisticated tools and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. Dairy Cows Rumination Time Rumination is influenced by various external and internal factors such as acute stress, disease, diet composition, fodder quality, cow grouping, climatic conditions, reproduction status and other health statuses (Calamari, et al., 2014). Studies conducted by Soriani, Panella, Calamari (2013), uncovered differences in the rumination times of healthy and sick cows. It was identified that lower ruminations times show signs of heath disorders. Identifying such patterns in dairy cows will enable an early detection of diseases and in some cases will save the cow/s from death. Rumination Time data can be also used to assess relationships to the incidence of clinical symptoms of diseases and metabolic inflammatory indices in the blood (Soriani, Panella, Calamari, 2013). As Calving season approaches, cows display a change in the behavioral patterns and also change in rumination patters. Conditions associated with calving kill 31% of the dairy cattle worldwide (Menzies , Bryson, McCallion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They result in an increase in veterinary costs, culling rates and indirectly result in production and reproduction losses. Dairy farmers need to make swift decisions to help reduce the incidence of such diseases. Studies conducted by Calamari team(2014) provide evidence that Rumination time, during the calving period, is related to various health conditions, inflammation blood markers and diseases commonly found during the first lactation month (Calamari, et al., 2014). Rumination time is also a very accurate parameter for an early identification of metabolic disorders such as ruminal acidosis, which is caused by feeding cows with high level of fast digesting carbohydrates such as Barley. The disease is a deadly disease and often results in the death of the animal (Reith Hoy, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Analysis Of Canzon Septimi A 8 Many ensembles across the world dedicate time to learning and performing early renaissance music. When practicing music not from this era, it is easy to perform it incorrectly and not give the work the justice it deserves. Ensembles that do not take careful time and consideration to study the style of early music and the techniques they must use when performing these pieces, ultimately fail when attempting to perform early music. When performing early music, such as Canzon Septimi Toni a 8, musicians must study the styles and techniques musicians in that time period implemented, reciprocate the tone, timbre and articulations used in the renaissance era for this specific work, transpose the piece to their instrument, and know the differences between early and modern instrumentation needed to perform the piece. Giovanni Gabrieli, the man who composed Canzon Septimi Toni a 8, was a well known Renaissance composer born in 1556. Not only that, but he was an organist and teacher who learned everything he knew from his uncle, Andrea Gabrieli, whom he has to thank for his musical upbringing. Gabrieli himself was highly regarded and praised for his contributions to instrumental music for church use as well as choral and instrumental motets. Gabrieli also made use of the San Marco church layout; the two separate choir lofts in the church allowed him to create salient spatial effects, which in turn heavily influenced his style of music. Unfortunately, his health began to suffer and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. The Reduction Of Weight Of Heavy Vehicles Introduction The need for reduction in weight of heavy vehicles is increasing day after day. Reduction of weight results in reduced fuel consumption which results in a decrease in the emission of greenhouse gas. For reducing the weight, higher strength to weight ratio steels would be required. Not only is a high strength, but the steel also requires to be adequately formable and greater energy absorption capacity. Good formability is essential for designing vehicle components with complex shapes. Dual phase (DP) steels are quite promising material for these purposes. DP steels can already achieve strength in the range of 500 1200 MPa with a total elongation of 15 25 %. Dual phase steels contain more than 1% alloying element among which major alloying elements are C, Si, Mn, and there are some other alloying elements also. Among different grades of Dual phase steels, the primary concern here is DP600 steels. A general chemical composition of DP 600 steel is tabulated in Table 1 below. Table 1. • 32. The Contributions of St. Augustine and Brigid of Kildare... The Contributions of St. Augustine and Brigid of Kildare to Christianity St. Augustine and Bridgid of Kildare were two very influential people in the church during the fourth and fifth centuries. St. Augustine and Bridgid of Kildare were most famous for the monasteries that they founded. Both St. Augustine and Bridgid were devout Christians who contributed greatly to the growth of Christianity. Both of these people encouraged the spread of Christianity, the belief in a life of solitude, and inspired many to follow in their footsteps. I admire both St. Augustine and Bridgid of Kildare greatly. They began a new way of religious life by providing a peaceful place where anyone could come to rest and reflect no matter what their ... Monica, Augustine s mother, was a devout Christian and tried to raise her son as one also. Augustine was a natural born leader in school, but at the age of sixteen he was forced to leave because his father could no longer pay the tuition fees. Augustine turned to alcohol, gambling, and prostitutes. A year later Augustine was able to return to school and studied law. When his studies were completed at the age of eighteen he became a teacher. Augustine, despite his mother s wishes for him to be a Christian, became a Manichaean. Manichaeans believed that one god created good and another created evil, and that therefore no one was responsible for his or her sins. Monica fervently prayed for her son s conversion, but he was stubborn and refused to do so. A year later, while teaching in Milan, Augustine met Plato and Bishop Ambrose. Soon Manichaeism became increasingly dissatisfying for Augustine. He became fascinated with the teachings of Plato and was soon convinced that there was a single god. Augustine even began attending mass to hear Ambrose preach. It seemed as if Augustine was working to reform his life, but soon his lust took over and he reverted back to his previous ways. Augustine continued to teach, but his heart and soul felt empty. One day while sitting outside he heard a group of children chanting. Suddenly inspired by their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How Integration Has Had On One Of Its Member Countries With respect to a specific regional economic grouping (e.g. EU, NAFTA, etc.), investigate the impact integration has had on one of its member countries Before seeing how economic integration has been developed in Ireland, we briefly introduce the process of economic integration in a specific regional economic grouping. According to Andrew Harrison (2010), economic integration concerns a set of geographically close countries. They decided to build an economic and social space in which there will not be obstacles to trade, as these relate to goods, capital and people. This is accompanied by the creation of common institutions to manage the common interests of the country. Economic integration is the result of construction, it cannot be ... However, can the economic success of Ireland only be explained by a European integration and the simple result of an aid policy and funding? This essay will describe the beginnings of integration of Ireland into the EU. Then, the essay will show that it was a successful integration and will do so via analysis of it. Lastly this essay will show that this success was part of Ireland itself and that its economic improvements cannot be reduced to community transfers. In the decades before integration, there was doubt on the ability of a small poor country like Ireland, to survive when there existed such a large development gap between the other countries in the community. Free competition, established by Article 3 of the Treaty of Rome, was likely to disadvantage Irish companies, family type businesses were very vulnerable to external pressure, and which, moreover, often owed their survival to the regime of border protection. There was also doubt that the chances of a small peripheral and post colonial state, still economically dependent on the United Kingdom, to find its place in an international organization alongside major industrialized countries. (Kaiser et al. 2004) The economic successes of the EEC were at the end of the 50s, which encouraged the United Kingdom to be more interested in the EU. • 34. Summary Of The Documentary, Darwin s Dangerous Idea The documentary, Darwin s Dangerous Idea tells the story of Charles Darwin s conception of his theory of natural selection, and how it explains the evolutionary process and species adaptation. The story begins with a brief overview of his 5 year stint on the HMS Beagle as the ship s naturalist, during her South American voyage. The film shows how Mr. Darwin collected fossils and many species of animals and birds from many different regions especially the Galapagos Islands. It portrays Mr. Darwin s return to England and his struggle between the mainstream religious beliefs and his personal beliefs of how different species came to be. Darwin has listed different names for each bird, they are all variations of Finches, apparently descended from a common ancestor. However, each bird has a different length beak and many are differently shaped to allow them to more efficiently eat the available fodder. Coincidentally, Mr. Darwin failed to catalog specifically where each bird came from and had to ask the ship s captain to supply this information along with his collection to Mr. Gould for identification and cataloging. An interesting part of the conversation between Mr. Darwin and the ship s captain is the captain s argument for the fixity of species, that each one was created by God exactly the way it was, and placed on each island, and that it is heresy to say that they came to be there any other way. After presenting his collection of fossils to the scientific community, Charles Darwin starts to ponder what really causes the varieties in species that he had personally witnessed, and why some species go extinct. This is the point where he begins to form the basic theory of natural selection, that the species with specific traits that allow them to survive best and reproduce effectively in their given environment are what has caused the different adaptations over long periods of time. Moreover, while speaking to his cousin Emma, whom he later marries, he uses the example of dog breeding to exemplify this point, dogs are bred together in order to enhance and continue specific physical characteristics. If the bill is introduced in the House of Representatives, the bill must be read 3 times and then be sent to the Senate for debate If a majority of Senators approves the bill, the bill is passed and will receive royal accent. If the Senate rejects the bill, the bill will be sent back to the House of Representatives and the legislative process will start again. If the Senate made amendments to a bill and aggress to it, it must be sent back to the House Representatives for approval. • 36. The Problems With Birds Migrating Birds There are many issues with aircrafts interacting with wild birds. The birds can get sucked into the plane engines and harm the plane causing it to lose power and crash. Solutions are very limited due to birds migrating, you can put stuff in order to keep local birds away, but you can t with migrating birds. There is research to be done to figure out the best solution to this problem. There is two ways of looking at this when birds hit planes causing damage to the plane or even bringing the plane down. Much like, the canadian goose that hit the plane and brought it down into the Hudson River. This is a big wildlife conservation what we can do to stop this from happening. There has been multiple studies done to see if lights will help the birds see the planes coming so they will move out off the way of the oncoming planes. The other way of looking at it is the planes harming the way the birds are living. A lot of airports are by where the birds will nest. Also, the noise of the plane interferes and hurts the roosting and feeding of the birds. This is a big wildlife management if these birds are being bothered and put out of the way of where the birds are supposed to live, then there are solutions for new airports being built in different, bird free, areas. The top priority is to keep the wild birds safe and to keep them in their way of life and not to alter the way the birds live. A plane was downed over New York when a bird was sucked into the jet engine. Flight 1459 just ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Fourth Amendment Essay In the late eighteenth century, after the United States of America achieved their independence from their former ruler, American leaders decided that their country was in need of a new document to rule over it. As part of its Bill of Rights, the Fourth Amendment protects American citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures . One of the NSA programs that Snowden informed the public on was called XKeyscore, which allowed members of the NSA to search through enormous databases of emails, online chats, and browsing histories of targets, (Business Insider). The government having the ability to investigate the internet content of ordinary citizens, in any fashion similar to that of XKeyscore, is unjust and denies American citizens their rights. The uproaring havoc of the public following the Snowden leaks reflects how Americans today, as a whole, feel about their internet content being watched by the government.
