The North American Musical Film
The North American Musical Film The musical film in the United States is largely associated
with Broadway theatre. Broadway is an area in New York City where the biggest theatres are
located, accommodating at least 500 people. Smaller theatres are said to be located Off
Broadway and even smaller theatres are called Off Off Broadway. Some notable musical films
such as Chicago (2002), My Fair Lady (1964) and West Side Story (1961) were adapted from
musical plays and trace their origins to Broadway where they first started their production. Some
Off Broadway productions also enjoyed a surge of popularity that warranted their expansion to film
such as Rent (2005) and Fame (1980). Some musical films were adapted from West End
productions which is the British counterpart of Broadway in London. Examples of such films are
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), Oliver! (1968), and Mamma Mia! (2008).
But not all musical films were adapted from the stage. When the musical genre enjoyed its peak
of popularity, Hollywood was churning out original musical compositions. It was hard to resist
adapting iconic compositions like Singin in the Rain (1952), Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) and
42nd Street (1933) for the stage. Given all these variations and just the sheer number of films
originating in the United States, it is safe to say that North America has a very rich history of
musical films.
The musical film burst into the scene at a time when the United States was undergoing a revolution

CrГЁme Anglaise
CrГЁme Anglaise is made of egg yolks, sugar and milk (or combination of milk and cream). It is
usually flavored with vanilla pod or natural vanilla extract, but it can be aromatized with chocolate,
liqueurs, nuts or spices.
CrГЁme Anglaise
Yield: 350 g
Milk 250 g
Sugar 75 g
Egg yolks 80 g
Vanilla pod
Put milk, half of sugar and split vanilla pod in a saucepan and put on a stove.
Blanch egg yolks and rest of the sugar.
When milk and sugar is hot, around 80В°C, pour some of the hot liquid over egg yolks and stir
well. This procedure is called tempering.
Pour the milk and yolk mixture to the pan and put it all back on stove. Cook stirring constantly until
cream reaches 84В°C. You can use thermometer to determine the temperature or you can make a
test with a wooden spoon. When you coat the back of a spoon and go with your finger along. If the
cream doesn t run through the line, it has right consistency. It should be a little bit thicker than milk
and it shouldn t contain any visible specs.
Be careful not to overcook the cream because the yolks will curdle and you will not be able to fix
that.
When it is done, strain through a sieve and cool.
CrГЁme Chantilly
CrГЁme Chantilly is simply lightly whipped cream flavored with a little bit of sugar and vanilla.
Weather you are making it with a whisk or with a help of a mixer, cream and the bowl you are

Characteristics Of Satan In Paradise Lost
In Paradise Lost the character of Satan is created by Milton. There are many characters of Satan in
literature, and over the creation of each Satan, he as a character has evolved. It is thought by John
Carey that Milton observed the former characters of Satan and used them as inspiration to influence
his new character as Satan. Milton created Satan as the author of evil and created him by himself.
Satan is the main character throughout Paradise Lostthat starts the story and puts events into
motion. As Milton created his Satan he focused on strong characteristics of epic heroes and
rhetoric. In Paradise Lost , Milton uses select qualities of an epic hero to be displayed as an epic
hero himself.
To become an epic hero the character must travel over vast settings to meet the criteria to be an
epic hero. Milton created the story in a religious sense which can be seen in the setting too. The
setting consists of Earth, Hell, Heaven, and the space between them. Heaven and Hell are
complete polar opposites which is in relation to the distance between them. The space between
Heaven and Hell is empty space and Earth. Earth represents the middle ground between perfect
and imperfect. Satan starts his journey in Hell and must travel through Hell to the far gates out of
Hell. And thrice threefold the gates... Yet unconsumed ( II.645 648). His journey began from hell
and then once he passed out of the troubling gates of Hell he ended up in a place he had never
been before. This was

How To Make Employees Love Their Workspace Employee retention is a factor that many
employers are struggling with across the globe. There are several suggestions on how to recruit and
maintain the best employees. The ideas range from developing an organizational culture that
enables employees to achieve work life balance to pizza meetings and kayaking outings. However,
the most important thing for employees that makes them love the officeis to have a suitable office
in terms of policies and amenities. Below are some of the tips that employers can utilize to

Modern Technology The office s worker walk into every day has changed with time, but the
changes cannot be compared to the transformations that the tools of work have undergone.
Today, every employer must incorporate digital tools into the physical office space to keep up
with the modern trends of doing business. Apart from incorporating digital communication to
physical office space, an employer can choose to operate a virtual office. Such business
locations only exist in cyberspace and enable the employees to work from anywhere around the
world. What employees need is phones, laptops, and access to reliable internet. Business owners
can adopt the use of office suites fit for the kind of business they are engaged. Many companies
are already using the Office 365 which enhances collaboration and communication and also
eliminates barriers created by physical distance and time zones. Adoption of virtual offices is one
way of cutting costs and improving work flexibility compared to renting the physical office space.
Moreover, there are virtual office plans that provide business owners with professional mail
handling services, reception, and call forwarding. Some virtual plans also include occasional
conference room rental and temporary workspace rental for professionals who are home based.

Example Of Anticipation
Anticipation is the principal that enables Army logisticians to foresee future events in a current
mission, and implementing the actions necessary to fill the requirements needed according to the
Department of the Army (2012) (ADRP, Pg. 1 3). Anticipation allows Army Logisticians to forecast

The War on Drugs and U.S. Foreign Policy Essay
Introduction
The War on Drugs has been a common phrase in the United States for many decades. What
exactly does this mean and how does it shape U.S. foreign policy? The War on Drugs can be
defined as the systematic and aggressive policy that is determined to undermine and stop the flow
of illegal drugs into the United States. This policy is backed by several U.S. institutions including
the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Enforcement
Administration (DEA), U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Customs. Also, included in this list
are the numerous local law enforcement agencies across the country.

This refers to the elimination of drug crops while they are still being grown. The U.S. has used
this policy in several South American countries as a means to limit drug trafficking before it has a
chance to develop. However, significantly reducing crops has not always led to decreasing drug
trafficking. Reduction of drug crops in one country may lead to increased production in another.
This is likely to happen when one country becomes the focus of an eradication effort, while another
country can increase its production to fill in the void. If there is one thing that the world market
can produce, it is its high demand of illegal drugs. The Drug Policy Alliance gives cites a specific
instance verifying the problems that can be associated with eradication procedures. During the
mid 1990s, eradication efforts in Bolivia and Peru created incentives to grow coca in Columbia.
While Peru experienced a 66% reduction in coca cultivation and Bolivia experienced a 53%
reduction, coca cultivation in Columbia doubled. In addition, more potent strains of coca have
been developed, leading to higher yielding coca crops. This example shows the adverse effects of
the policy of eradication. Main Cocaine Producing Countries
Finally, the last way that the United States enforces is foreign policy on drugs is legislative
reform. Legislative reform entails the laws passed to combat drug trafficking. The laws that will

Essay on Figurative Language in A Work of Artifice
Figurative Language in A Work of Artifice by Marge Piercy
A clever trick, crafty device, or stratagem is how Webster s Encyclopedia of Unabridged
Dictionary of the English Language defines Artifice. Marge Piercy definitely used crafty techniques
in writing A Work of Artifice
. In this poem, Piercy reflects on the growth of a bonsai tree,
considering the molded existence of what it is to what it could have naturally been. With deeper
analysis of this poem, the correlation between a bonsai tree and the shaped role of women within
society becomes evident. The poet introduces one specific metaphor in the beginning, comparing
the growth of a bonsai tree to the development of women. This single metaphor is supported

Every day as he whittles back the branches. This line from Piercy s poem produces a vivid and
detailed picture in the imagination of its readers. Readers visualize an incredibly precise little
gardener, as he diligently prunes the bonsai tree. Another of Piercy s lines is, could have grown
eighty feet tall on the side of a mountain till split by lightning. Again the reader is provided with
detailed illustrations and sounds that correlate with the picture. In this line, for instance, a
magnificent tree high above the skyline, destroyed both by a visual bolt of lightening and a
booming crack of thunder can be seen. Examples of imagery are abundant throughout Piercy s
entire poem. As readers look at the poem externally, the imagery is directly related to a vision of the
bonsai tree. With further internal analysis, it becomes evident that there is slight ambiguity within
these lines, lending themselves to have connotative meanings. In such a way, the sense provoking
images the writer includes relate not only to describing a bonsai tree, but also to explaining the role
of women within society.
Specifically, the double meanings of the imagery can be deciphered through examination of the
writer s use of metaphors. Each of the descriptions about the bonsai tree can be applied to women.

Foucault wants to express his ideas that critique is a repetition of power, which would deliver the

Technology And The Social Construction Of A Younger...
Globilisation is a continually growing and increasing factor in our everyday lives. As technology
improves, the ability for people to communicate increases. The transfer of ideas, information and
the sharing of cultures becomes exceedingly simple. As technology improves the people using
that technology have access to a much wider experience of the world than previously would have
been possible. In this way as each generation grows up in a globalised world, the factors that
influence their social queues, their ability to choose peers, and what is accessible in popular culture,
vastly changes the dynamic that a younger generation would have in comparison to the generation
that came before them. Globilisation is an extremely important factor in the social construction of a
younger generations culture.
The second half of the twentieth century has been a period of massive human migration, both
locally and internationally. This period also saw a huge increase in the transfer of information and
ideas between different countries through various forms of communication, the most predominant
in recent periods being the internet. (Kaufman, 2002, 13) Migrations, and the transfers of new ideas
and information, can bring many different opportunities for the many different generations of
family members. It is common for older family members to find adjustment to a new cultures
challenging, however, younger family members can experience it more readily and in a number of
different ways.

Minorities Affected By Civil And Equal Rights
Minorities Affected by Civil and Equal Rights The Times They Are A Changin is a lyrical poem
written by Bob Dylan. The Fear of Losing a Culture is an auto biographical essay written by
Richard Rodriguez. Both of these literary works have a shared theme of change and social
conflict. However, both works were written at different times in history. There are similarities as
well as differences between the two works. The shared theme of change for these two works is the
change that is taking place in America concerning black Americans and civil rights in The Times

authors wrote about the changes that were taking place in America regarding cultures. Cultures

Minorities Dare To Lead In The Accounting Profession Essay
According to the latest US Census, Blacks or African Americans make up 13.6% (42,020,743) of
the total US population (308,745,538) but only 10.8% of the employed market and less than 9%
of those classified as Accountants and Auditors. (nabainc.org). According to Data USA, over
75% of the accounting profession was dominated by Whites or Caucasians and you ask what the
importance of minorities daring to lead in the accounting profession is? It is simple, there was a
time when we could not lead at all. There was a time in history when we could not lead let alone
enter the accounting profession which was simply an injustice. In fact, the very first black
woman to become a CPA, Ms. Mary T. Washington, did not earn her credential until 1943, when
CPA licensing had been around since 1896. For those reasons, minorities should dare to lead in
the accounting profession because there was a time when we could not lead and we could not

Knights Of The White Camellia Essay
As slaves, African Americans were seen as weak, frail, and fragile individuals. Although they were
perceived as powerless, they undoubtedly held all of the power. Afro Americans were not deemed a
threat until the abolishment of slavery in 1865. The 13th Amendment to the United States
Constitution states that Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime
whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, nor any place
subject to their jurisdiction. In Congress, it was passed by the Senate on April 8, 1864, and by the
House on January 31, 1865. This transformation in America allowed African Americans a sense of
liberation about themselves. On the contrary, it also instilled a certain fear in White Americans.

risk of having this bacteria living in your mouth is that these bacteria enter the blood system and

Bystander Effect Essay
Research Summary
My article was Darley s and Latane s, Bystander Intervention in Emergencies: Diffusion of
Responsibility. They conducted this study to figure out how would people react in various group
sizes in an emergency situation. As well as which one those individuals in different size groups
would go and call for help. The concept of this was taken from the famous case of Kitty Genovese,
who was stabbed to death multiple times and finally was killed in her own neighborhood and no
one intervened. This is known to be the bystander effect. However, in this research experiment,
people were either in groups of 2, 3, or 6 and then they would overhear the person having an
epileptic seizure. It was predicted that due to the presence of ... Show more content on

The person who was having the seizure specifically requested help and showed that he thought he
was dying.
There were a few differences on this base research experiment. To begin with, there were various
group sizes in various instances. For instance, there were either groups of two, three, and six
people. There was only one actual participant per group, while the rest were part of the experiment.
This was the independent variable. It was intended to test if the number of individuals would
diffuse the duty given in a crisis circumstance. In addition to that, various types of individuals took
part in this study. Different genders and authority figure was presented. This person was a
premedical student working at the emergency ward at Bellevue Hospital. Initially, it was meant to
find any distinction in different genders responding. Also, it was intended to figure out if the
presence of an authority figure would affect the participant s response if they were to assume that
the medical student would take charge in a crisis situation.
Furthermore, the dependent variable was the speed of the individuals reporting the emergency of
someone having a seizure to the experimenter. The experiment was terminated if individuals did not
seek assistance for the seizure victim within six minutes. Thus, this research was conducted in a
correlational fashion. Then the true essence of the experiment was revealed. Then

The Hunger Artist
Sacrifice is the act of giving up something of value to gain something that is considered to be
more important than what was given up; hunger is a form of sacrifice. The Hunger Artist by Franz
Kafka, is an interesting short story that describes a man s dark and depressing life. In this man s
life he is a hungerartist who starves himself to make small amounts of money and to gain attention
from his audiences. The hunger artist was a man who was separated from society by his fasting
and suffered from the harmful effects of his pride and confusion. The Hunger Artist is a short story
that tells about a man who starves himself for a living. The man in this story has no home and lives
a nomadic life. He tours around Europe with his manager... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The three main symbols in The Hunger Artist are the cage, clock, and the panther. The cage
represents how the hunger artist is separated from the rest of society. The man separated himself
from society from a physical sense by locking himself in a cage and not coming out. However,
he also separated himself from a mental standpoint by making his life revolve around his
audiences and putting their wants and needs above his own. This symbolism represents the cage
and how separation from society led to the hunger artist s downfall. The next symbol described
in the story is the clock. The clock was the only piece of furniture in the man s cage besides the
hay. The all important striking of the clock that was the only piece of furniture in his cage (333).
The clock represents that as time goes on the hunger artist s relationship with his audience
continues to fail which starts the domino effect that carries over to the man s mental health.
Ultimately the clock shows that the hunger artist s life is slowly ticking away and that he is
slowly killing his body and his mind. The last major symbolism used in the story is the panther.
The panther replaces the hunger artist in his cage after he passes away. The panther is the
complete opposite of the hunger artist. Furnished almost to the bursting point with all that it
needed, seemed to carry freedom around with it too (342). The panther was full of life and energy
and on top of that was well nourished. The panther is very well liked in the circus unlike the hunger
artist was. Another trait the panther possessed that the hunger artist did not was that the panther did
not require attention to be happy. If the hunger artist would have simply lived with this mindset his
life would have been so much more brighter and positive. The strong use of symbolism in this story
helps explain to the

Long Overdue Yard Debris
The warmer months of the year are great for getting any long overdue yard work done. You can
use the long days to clear up detritus that has started to take over or to finally find a new home for
objects you only planned to house outside temporarily. The yard debris removal tips below will
help you to get started.
What Are Some Starter Tips for Removing Yard Debris?
1. Remove Large Objects
When you first begin cleaning up your yard, start removing all of the large items lying around, such
as tree limbs, rocks, or any furniture you might have moved to this area. If you are trying to add a

Portrayal Of Sexuality In Media
Since I as a kid I was very sheltered regarding the media that I was allowed to consume. My
parents were very deliberate about not encouraging me to grow up too quickly by assisting me
in selecting age appropriate clothing, media, and friends. Regardless, I was always aware of my
body because of dance. I was classically trained in ballet for 11 years of my life, and from an
early age I was aware that my body did not match the prima ballerina tall, reed thin, flat not curvy.

my closest friends are used to my conversations and questions about sexuality. Humans are sexual

Building Codes Analysis
The practice of building codes is to ensure the safety, structural stability and health. Through the
years many codes have been imposed to fix problems have occurred in the construction of the
building or after it been constructed. Building codes are interpenetrated different depending on the
location it s being built. This is due to local officials of the area who have the power to change
codes or arrange than to meet the requirement for the area. The reason every country, state, and the
city have their own way to interpenetrate codes differently is because the buildingmust adapt to the
surrounding area. When the architectbeing designing a set of drawing not only does he or she has
to meet all the requirement for the building itself but the requirement needed to build in the area.
For example, a building in Colorado and a building in Florida will have different codes in place
that give the building many characteristics. One code that would be different is frost line this
mean how depth the ground doesn t freeze in the winter. Since Colorado tend to be very cold in
winter reaching low temperature the frost line will be deeper than Florida that stays warm all most

The Use Of Hack Into A Single Or Networked Computer
There are thousands of ways to hack into a single or networked computer. All hacker does not
have a notorious reason for trying to access a network. Many hackers are paid by a company to
find its network vulnerabilities. These hackers are known as white hackers or pen testers. The most
popular way to hack into a computer is with a certain attack named brute force.
The brute force attack is one of the most popular cracking methods., it is not just for password
cracking. Brute force attacks can also be used to discover hidden pages and content in a web
application. This attack is basically hit and miss until you succeed. This attack sometimes takes
longer, but its success rate is higher.
The success of the attack depends on various factors. Factors that affect most are password length
and combination of characters, letters and special characters. It does not make brute force
impossible but it makes brute force difficult. It will take a longer time to reach the password by
brute forcing. Almost all hash cracking algorithms use the brute force to hit and try. This attack is
best when you have offline access to data.
Brute force password cracking is also very important in computer security. It is used to check the
weak passwords used in the system, network or application. Brute force attack when an attacker
uses a set of predefined values to attack a target and analyze the response until he succeeds.
Success depends on the set of predefined values. If it is larger, it will

The Role Of Chinese Women In The Joy Luck Club
The concept of foot binding was a shocking concept for the role of Chinese women to submit
themselves to torture and represented a unique opportunity to gain the respect and recognition of
the in laws in The Joy Luck Club and The Good Earth who would praise the beautiful tiny feet
even beyond the woman s dowry, as an undeniable proof of capacity and obedience. According to
Tan, there are only two kinds of daughters, those who are obedient and those who follow their own
mind! (142). Foot binding was a significant role for Chinese women and the concept of beauty no
matter the consequences of their pain in the body. The concept of obedience was the role of
Chinese womanthat was focused in The Joy Luck Club, which was how the characters based their
views on. The Chinese mother s desire was for their daughters to follow the obedience concept
and act according to the regulations. For example, one of the mothers complained about not
being able to teach their daughter about the Chinese character, which would help obey her
parents and listen to her mother s mind. Another mother talked about herself and being obedient
as Tan stated, I was an obedient wife; just as they taught me (61). The Chinese mothers in the
Joy Luck Club grew up with an incredibly restrictive idea of what it meant to be a woman. They
realized that there was no good people in this world and only people who wanted to take
advantage of their heart and soul. This belief was also true in The Good Earthas O Lan

Summary-Literary Analysis of Mommy, What Does Nigger Mean...
In Mommy, What Does Nigger Mean? , author Gloria Naylor explains throughout her piece that
reality shapes language and language can shape reality. Naylor explains this, chicken or the egg
dispute (Naylor 1) through her experiences with the word nigger. Gloria explains how she starts
on one side of reality and shaping her language, then comes to another understanding from the
boy in her third grade class. Language can be how words are used, what their meaning is and the
purpose behind that selection of words. Reality is everyday life and experiences. When in third
grade Naylor encounters nigger as a racial derogatory when a boy said nigger to her while receiving

An instance of her exemplification is by calling someone a, trifling nigger (Naylor 2) is to say that
person has a bad reputation of being drunk, foul or rude. Calling another person that name may be
demeaning to their reputation but in no way does it discriminate against them racially. A second
exemplifying definition is the possessive adjective use by a woman to her boyfriend or husband.
When that woman calls her man my nigger (Naylor 2) it means a term of endearment or a
compliment. By defining a word specifically one can alter the meaning and the reality of that word
through language while excluding prejudice.
Although exemplification plays a big role in proving Naylor s ideas, refutation backs up the
examples and adds more content. Through instances of refutation she proves a great deal of
supportive information to establish her ideas effectiveness by softening opposing opinions. Gloria
shows refutation by exemplification of definitions that have no racial prejudice and how those
accepted definitions from her family modeled her language. Another example of a definition used
in the family is when talking about approval of a trait. In the passage the speaker says, I m
telling you, that nigger pulled in $6,000 of overtime last year. (Naylor 2). The trait being
approved of here would be drive or determination resulting in success. The second piece of negation

Similarities And Weaknesses Of The Civil War
The Civil War The North and South had many different weaknesses and strengths at the beginning
of the Civil War in 1861. This essay will compare the political, economic, social and military
strengths and weaknesses of the North and South at the beginning of the Civil War. There were
many reasons for the War of the States to be fought including, but not limited to slavery, separation
of states, the Constitution, and the way of life. The North and South had many political strengths
and weaknesses. The South had an amazing fighting spirit because they were fighting to preserve
their way of life. They were also defending their home against the northern invaders. While the
North was just fighting to continue the Union, and were not as inspired. Furthermore the North had
the advantage of President Lincoln being from the North, when the South did not. The South had
less states in its Confederacy with only a mere fifteen states, versus the North who had nineteen
states in their Union. Lincoln believed that secession was illegal under the law of the Constitution
and he would declare war against the rebelling states if necessary. For the first time in American
history, Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas corpus, the right of prisoners to a trial, ergo the Union
could arrest citizens who might have been southern sympathizers. The North and South had many
economic strengths and weaknesses. The South had many plantations of rice, cotton, tobacco and

Reflection On Saint Augustine s Confessions
Throughout this class, I have grown so much from where I was at the beginning of the year. I
think that because the class was a collective effort rather than an individual one, it was more
motivation for me to participate properly because people other than myself were relying on me.
Due to the fact that we had written questions and homework for every reading as well as had to use
a great deal of textual evidence throughout the discussions, I was constantly looking to refer back to
the text, and make sure that my argument fit in with the discussion. Therefore, I got the most out of
outcomefour, using the discussion and the process of writingto enhance my intellectual discovery.
Specifically, a reading that I feel like I used this outcome the most for was Saint Augustine s
Confessions. Once I got through the initial confusion, through the discussion and especially the
second essay helped me develop his ideas of rightly ordered love . That, then became what I
primarily based my exploration of the text off of. It was important to use Written and Oral
Communication for this reading to see how much of an impact all the situations had on Saint
Augustine. Therefore, being engaged in the reading, writing and asking the right questions, and
using the discussion to further my understanding of the text was a strong lesson I learned from

Metaphors And The Natural World
Whether we know it or not, we make use of metaphors daily in many ways to help us make sense
of the world. A metaphor is defined as a figure of speech that identifies an object or an idea that is
similar to an unrelated thing. The use of metaphors and the language that they portray help to create
new insight into the universe. They not only help classify the natural world, and help interpret the
scientific world, but they also set outlooks on individuals culture and society; however, some
may argue that metaphors are an impractical use of our language that only complicate things that
can instead be stated clearer. Our perspectives and the way we think are directly linked to how
we talk and communicate in in the natural world and how we are viwed by society. This is
explained further in detailed in Metaphors We Live By, because it clearly shows how individuals
shape their perspectives based on their experiences in society: In most of the little things we do
every day, we simply think and act more or less automatically along certain lines, (Lackoff
Johnson 3). This furthers proves how much metaphors can affect the way we think and the way
we see the world from what we undergo and experience in our life it is what gives us an opinion
on certain matters of race, gender, religion, etc. We all think and act according to how we interact
with our society and it is the power of metaphors that help guide and change one s beliefs to help
portray our own perspective for others.

Euripides Support of Women’s Rights Essay
Euripides Support of Women s Rights
One can hardly deny that in Euripides plays women are often portrayed as weak, uncertain, and
torn between what they must do and what they can bring themselves to do. Other women appear
to be the root of grave evils, or simply perpetrators of heinous crimes. In a day when analysis of
characters and plot had yet to be invented, it is easy to see why he might have been thought to be
very much against women. However, when looking back with current understanding of what
Euripides was doing at the time, armed with knowledge of plot devices and Socratic philosophy,
this argument simply does not hold up. In fact, a very strong argument can be made to the opposite,

To better understand this difference, a more in depth explanation of the art of tragedy is
necessary. Tragedy was unique of all the forms of Greek art; it was seen as the only combination
of the two classes of art. These two classes are named after Apollo and Dionysus, the two Greek art
deities (Nietzsche 1). The Apollonian influence was seen as the art of things of form and structure,
the molding or creation of something tangible. The Dionysian, on the other hand, was seen as the
more plastic arts, music in particular, where the art lies as much in the performance as the
conception. The Apollonian was seen as a creation brought on by a dream like state, perhaps
induced by a god or sleep, while the Dionysian is usually attributed to high spirits, such as
drunkenness (Nietzsche 1). As stated before, Tragedy was the unique combination of these two art
influences. The Apollonian influence is seen in the writing of the play, as well as in its tangible
aspects, the stage and costumes, for instance. The Dionysian art is represented by the music and by
the exclusive nature of each performance (Nietzsche 2).
The way Nietzsche saw it, the epitome of this was represented by the work of Sophocles and
Aeschylus (Nietzsche 42). Euripides represented something contrary to the art of tragedy in the way
it had been previously implemented. It is well documented that Euripides consorted with

The Importance Of The Japanese Education System
Japan may be known for its beautiful cherry blossoms when they are in bloom, but they are also
known for its unique education system. The rigorous workload these students go through have
changed the way their overall performance scores have looked. The way that the Japanese
education system works has some ways that align with how the brain learns. The uniqueness of
Japan s educationbegins with the way their schooling is set up. The typical schoolyear goes from
April to March of the following year, with a summer break from mid July to the end of August.
Unlike American schools, Japanese schools have three trimesters to break up the school year.
Keeping with the pattern of three, the lower education of Japan is split into a six three three
system: six years of elementary school (Shogakko), three years of middle school (Chugakko), and
three years of high school(Kotogakko). There are different learning styles that are available once a
student reaches high school. The courses that students can take are sorted into the categories of
general, specialized, and integrated. General courses are suitable for all students. Specialized
courses have specific subject matter suited for students who have chosen their future vocation, and
include courses in agriculture, industry, commerce. . . music, art, and English (globalroadwarrior

students are taught by one teacher for all the subjects

Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant Case Study
Introduction (Section I) Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant is a privately owned company in Richmond,
Indiana that manufactured mirrors for trucks and automobiles. This privately owned business was
successful in the beginning of its business and later the management encountered problems with its
employees. Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant faced production delay issues and unprofitability in the
late 1990 s. The company implemented the Scanlon Plan in late December of 1999 in order to solve
the problem they were facing with production. This plan helps paid bonuses to workers for
increased productivity and this brought fast positive feedback for the employees and the
organization. After five years of the implementation, the enthusiasm within the company gradually

Engstrom, communication problem and lack of understanding how this Scanlon plan works
dragged the employees to develop a non interest in the company, causing employees to lose interest
in participation of the Scanlon plan. Employees became suspicious to bonus calculation adjustments

that may have been highly affected by noise. Employees want to feel like their boss is siding with
them in a compassionate manner. Effective communication and thorough understanding of the
policies of the organization would motivate the employees. However, even though the Scanlon plan
was allowing fair strategic planning among coworkers, it overloaded the employees with more
information that they could assimilate. According to Myers Myers (1982), overload is the vast
amount of information transmitted to an employee which surpasses an acceptable level of
handling, causing confusion and stressful employee environments. This lack of communication

Analysis Of The Movie Ava
Ava had found herself in more than a few situations that had left her cheeks bright red with
embarrassment and shame, but this topped all of them by far. It was bad enough that her
bronzed, nubile body was marred by the grime and dirt that seemed to infest every spot upon the
floor of the locker room. In fact, it was bad enough that her rival, who had just beat and
humiliated her in front of an audience, was now being pleased by Ava s tongue. However, the
worst part of it all, as she lay there with her tongue tween Aida s folds and her breasts being toyed
with like they were stress balls, was that she was enjoying it.
Despite just how terrible and messed up all of it was, Ava couldn t help but feel her arousal
growing by the minute. Her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What she had not really counted on was the extensive experience of her opponent, which was not
wholly known to her, or simply just how easy her plan was to decipher.
So, instead of really resisting her opponent, all Ava was doing was playing exactly into the Valkyrie
s hands. And it was to this end that when Aida began to hurl obscenities and threats like alms to a
beggar, she quickened her pace. If everything went according to plan, Aida would flow between
orgasms until the entire experience began to hurt and exhaust rather than pleasure.
Aida moaned out as she began to finish once more, her whole body twitching and writhing
against the admittedly talented tongue of the girl below her. It was always somewhat
astonishing to her just how easy it was to use her conquered foes. She played them like a fiddle,
and Ava was no different. The dumb brunette was, as her phone displayed, just another in a long
line girls who had been reduced to unabashed sluts. The whole idea reminded Aida that one
picture of her foe s humiliation was hardly enough to remind her of just how complete the
process had been. As she teetered over the edge of her second orgasm she grabbed a fistful of her
conquered foe s hair, pulling her back just enough to encapsulate her mouth as she commanded
Smile! before snapping a picture and returning Ava to her place. Looking at the photo, she was
pleased at how easily Ava had given in, a wide grin on the

Emotional and Cognitive Intelligence
Cognitive intelligence and emotional intelligence have both been widely examined with regard to
their effect on individual workplace abilities. A critical comparison of the two concepts will be the
basis of this essay. Some theorists have hypothesised that the ease with which an employee can
process information and work towards solutions (our cognitive intelligence) is the key aspect in our
ability to contribute to the workplace, particularly in more complex environments (Viswesvaran
Ones, 2002). While others support the theory that our ability to use and adapt to emotion (our
emotional intelligence; EI) has the greatest affect on our organisational involvement (Cherniss,
Extein, Goleman, Weissberg, 2006). Through exploration of both... Show more content on

It has been studied and elaborated upon so much, that what was initially a concise realm of
specificity, has particularly in the area of EI testing become convoluted by measures of social
intelligence and emotional and social competencies (Cherniss, 2010), which while similar to EI do
distinctly deviate from the generally accepted Mayer et al. 2000 model of it. Some measures even
include tests of cognitive intelligence, the concept with which it is supposedly in direct contrast.
This has led to criticism about whether or not measures of EI have construct validity (Cherniss,
2010).
From a theoretical standpoint the equivocality regarding an agreed definition of EI most
specifically affects the theorists studying the concept. From an organisational perspective the
practical implications of uncertainty surround the measurement of the concept, as opposed to its
definition. For example if an organisation relies heavily on a team which is cohesive, cooperative
and connected to one another the business may screen potential employees to ensure they will suit
the role using a measure of emotional intelligence. Here in lay the problem; if a construct cannot
be clearly defined, how can a test every truly have construct validity how can the variables
indicating an particular outcome ever be accurate, when we do not know exactly what we are
measuring? Moreover, a focus on EI within businesses and organisations could have significant
drawbacks. Unavoidable though

Differences Between Island and Mainland Puerto Ricans Essay
Differences Between Island and Mainland Puerto Ricans
As many immigrants arrive in the United States of America and begin to call it home ,
comparisons between such immigrants are certainly inevitable. In particular, the U.S. Hispanic
population gives more room for such comparisons since their cultures and traditions are very
similar. Most of their similarities stem from a common Spanish heritage. However, there is a lot
more to being Hispanic than just speaking Spanish or eating rice and beans. What most people do
not understand is that there are also many differences amongst Hispanics and that, most of all,
there are many differences between people born and raised in Hispanic countries and people born

[. . .] By these definitions, Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico are a nation; Puerto Ricans in New York
may still be part of the Puerto Rican nation, depending on who is doing the defining, but in the U.S.
mainland they constitute an ethnic group. (12)
The fact that island Puerto Ricans see themselves as a nation whereas mainland Puerto Ricans see
themselves as a minority and an ethnic group in The United States, gives rise to the main
differences that exist between the two. However, in order to delve into deeper comparisons between
the ways in which island and mainland Puerto Ricans self identify, it is imperative to understand the
historical events that have shaped Puerto Ricans and their heritage.
Puerto Rico s association with the United States and its metamorphosis began when in 1898 U.S.
troops invaded Puerto Rico during the Spanish American War. Up until that point, Puerto Rico had
remained one of Spain s last two colonies in the New World. Puerto Rico s Spanish heritage is
seen when Puerto Rican essayist Antonio Pedreira, writing in the 1930 s, termed the first three
centuries of Spanish rule a period of faithful prolongation of the Spanish culture (qtd. in Morris 21).
Spanish influence is also seen when without rejecting his Puerto Rican Spanishness, the Puerto
Rican considered himself a Spaniard from here with ideas and reactions different from those from
there (qtd.

Consequences Of Teen Drinking
Consequences of Underaged Drinking
By: Ashley Thomas
Underaged drinking is becoming more of a problem every year. There are many negative
consequences that coincide with this risky activity; other than the obvious fact that it is illegal.
These consequences include: violent behavior, risky sexual activity, engaging in dangerous
activities putting oneself in harm s way, drunk driving, and long term effects such as brain damage
and depression. Whether the person engages in drinking regularly and simply believes nothing
bad will happen to them, or has been talked into drinking for the first time, both are put at equal
risk for any of these events to occur. Arguably some of the most devastating side effects of
drinking at a young age are changes in the way the brain develops. The human brain does not stop
developing until one is well into their twenties. Because of this, Young people that consume/abuse
alcohol, are put at a much higher risk of early onset depression and alcohol dependence into
adulthood. The more concerning aspect of this is teens that start having problems with depression,
due to drinking, often lie about their habits, thus not getting help until it is too late. More times
than not, young people do not confide in parents for fear of judgement and/or ridicule. Situations
like these often cause young adults to feel alone and isolate themselves from those who wish to
help, quite possibly resulting in suicide. The best way to avoid this is for parents to be

Boo Radley Heroism
Harper Lee s novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, is considered a classic in modern American literature.
In the novel, Lee used mockingbirds as a symbol for innocent people killed by evil things.
Although cruel rumors, in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, portrayed Boo Radley as a
monster, he was a mockingbird because all he did was care and do kind things for the children.
Instead of causing harm, like most Maycomb townspeople believed he did, he left the children
gifts in the tree, draped a blanket over a cold Scout, and most importantly, saved the children from

During Miss Maudie s unfortunate house fire, in chapter eight of the novel, Scout and Jem had to
stand outside in the cold, waiting for the fire to be put out. According to Atticus, the temperature
that night was sixteen, that it was the coldest night in his memory , so naturally Scout started to
get cold and shiver (Lee 68). After the fire, Scout realized, with her family s help, that she had a
blanket draped around her shoulders, a blanket given to her by Boo Radley (Lee 71 72). The
gesture, albeit small, was a significant gesture on Boo Radley s part. It showed his true nature of
gentleness, compassion, and courage, which many people don t know because of Boo s family
keeping him in the Radley home. He left his home, something that rarely happens, to protect Scout
from the cold. Though some may consider the gesture insignificant, since Scout didn t actually
remember him doing it, it actually is a very monumental gesture. Throughout the book, the only
reason why Boo, the recluse, left his home was for Jem and Scout. Boo became increasingly
involved in the children s lives, by watching them, looking out for them, and soon, protecting them
from the harmful Bob

The Contributions Of Ernest Rutherford And The Gold Foil...
Ernest Rutherford was born in New Zealand and died in Britain, however during his life he
worked McGill University in Canada ( Ernest Rutherford Biographical , 2014). During
Rutherford s life he made significant contributions to Science; in 1998 when studying Uranium
he discovered Alpha and Beta radiation ( Ernest Rutherford: Father of nuclear science , n.d.). In
1903, Rutherford saw that a French chemist, Paul Villard, had discovered a new type of
radiation coming from radium, upon discerning that this new radiation was different then the
ones he had already discovered due to its greater penetrating power, Rutherford named it Gamma
radiation ( Ernest Rutherford , 2017). Using his previously found out types of radiation, he
discovered the concept of half life, how long it takes for a sample of an element to decay to half
its size. However, the most infamous experiment he did, was the Gold Foil Experiment. In 1910, in
order to confirm JJ Thomson s model on an atomErnest Rutherford conducted an experiment
along with Hans Geiger and Ernest Marsden where a thin piece of gold was bombarded with
Alpha particles, while most went through (meaning that an atom is mostly empty space), some
were deflected, and a few even bounced backwards. This led to the discovery of the neutron, a
positively charged area of the atom which was responsible for Alpha particles being deflected and
bouncing back. With this new information disproving JJ Thomson s model, Rutherford created a
new atomic

Who s To Blame In The Crucible
Who s To Blame: The Crucible.
In Arthur Miller s play, The Crucible, Miller demonstrated that it was Abigail William s flaws
Immaturity, Lust, and Spitefulness that led her to be most responsible for the tragedy of the witch
hunt in Salem.
Abigail Williams is to be considered a strikingly beautiful young woman. She was the cause of
the whole madness of witch craft by her immaturity because Abigail and with the rest of her
friends went out into the woods while having Tituba conjure spirits so the girls could get guys to
fall in love with them. Once they were caught by Reverend Parris (which is Abigail s uncle)
instead of confessing the truth on what they were doing and owning up to it, Abigail decides to
blame Tituba. She blames her for making the girls go into the woods to conjure spirits and help the
devil. When John Proctor hears about this though, she quickly tells him in private that its nothing

Acute Appendix Pain
The most likely diagnosis for this severe abdominal pain located within her right lower quadrant
and amongst her right side would be an acute appendicitis due to inflammation of the appendix.
The appendix is located within the right lower quadrant (RLQ) of the abdomen, and finds itself
within the right iliac (inguinal) region. It is a subdivision of the large intestine and is a blind ended
tube attached to the posteromedial surface of the cecum (Marieb, Hoehn, Human Anatomy

The Transfiguration By Matthew Told
The Transfiguration
The account of the transfiguration as Matthew told it, states: After six days... (Matt. 17:1). When
Mark wrote about this same event he also said, After six days... (Mark 9:2). However, when Luke
told the story, he said, After about eight days... (Luke 9:28).
Seemingly, there are folks who read the Bible for no purpose other than to search for flaws. Of
course, there are no mistakes in God s Word; nonetheless, there are those who have tried to
discredit its message and they have used these verses, concerning the number of days, in support of
their claim of a discrepancy.
However, there is no contradiction here. Seldom does any event begin at exactly the same
moment a day begins. There is almost always a portion of a day preceding a certain number of
whole days and a portion of a day following the whole days.
Matthew and Mark counted only the whole days. Luke recognized a part of the day that proceeded
the six full days and a portion of the day, which followed them.
Was it six days or about eight days? Both are correct. It s simply a matter of observing the same
period of time from different viewpoints.
Anyway, Jesus took Peter, James and John upon a high mountain. Although, the Bible does not
name the mountain, logically there are only two possibilities; Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon.
Peter called it The Holy Mountain (II Peter 1:18). Matthew and Mark both said they were up there
alone on a high mountain. (Matt. 17:1 Mark 9:2).

  • 2. The North American Musical Film The North American Musical Film The musical film in the United States is largely associated with Broadway theatre. Broadway is an area in New York City where the biggest theatres are located, accommodating at least 500 people. Smaller theatres are said to be located Off Broadway and even smaller theatres are called Off Off Broadway. Some notable musical films such as Chicago (2002), My Fair Lady (1964) and West Side Story (1961) were adapted from musical plays and trace their origins to Broadway where they first started their production. Some Off Broadway productions also enjoyed a surge of popularity that warranted their expansion to film such as Rent (2005) and Fame (1980). Some musical films were adapted from West End productions which is the British counterpart of Broadway in London. Examples of such films are The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), Oliver! (1968), and Mamma Mia! (2008). But not all musical films were adapted from the stage. When the musical genre enjoyed its peak of popularity, Hollywood was churning out original musical compositions. It was hard to resist adapting iconic compositions like Singin in the Rain (1952), Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) and 42nd Street (1933) for the stage. Given all these variations and just the sheer number of films originating in the United States, it is safe to say that North America has a very rich history of musical films. The musical film burst into the scene at a time when the United States was undergoing a revolution of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Pour the milk and yolk mixture to the pan and put it all back on stove. Cook stirring constantly until cream reaches 84В°C. You can use thermometer to determine the temperature or you can make a test with a wooden spoon. When you coat the back of a spoon and go with your finger along. If the cream doesn t run through the line, it has right consistency. It should be a little bit thicker than milk and it shouldn t contain any visible specs. Be careful not to overcook the cream because the yolks will curdle and you will not be able to fix that. When it is done, strain through a sieve and cool. CrГЁme Chantilly CrГЁme Chantilly is simply lightly whipped cream flavored with a little bit of sugar and vanilla. There are many characters of Satan in literature, and over the creation of each Satan, he as a character has evolved. It is thought by John Carey that Milton observed the former characters of Satan and used them as inspiration to influence his new character as Satan. What exactly does this mean and how does it shape U.S. foreign policy? The War on Drugs can be defined as the systematic and aggressive policy that is determined to undermine and stop the flow of illegal drugs into the United States. This policy is backed by several U.S. institutions including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Customs. If there is one thing that the world market can produce, it is its high demand of illegal drugs. The Drug Policy Alliance gives cites a specific instance verifying the problems that can be associated with eradication procedures. In such a way, the sense provoking images the writer includes relate not only to describing a bonsai tree, but also to explaining the role of women within society. Specifically, the double meanings of the imagery can be deciphered through examination of the writer s use of metaphors. Each of the descriptions about the bonsai tree can be applied to women. As technology improves, the ability for people to communicate increases. The transfer of ideas, information and the sharing of cultures becomes exceedingly simple. As technology improves the people using that technology have access to a much wider experience of the world than previously would have been possible. In this way as each generation grows up in a globalised world, the factors that influence their social queues, their ability to choose peers, and what is accessible in popular culture, vastly changes the dynamic that a younger generation would have in comparison to the generation that came before them. This period also saw a huge increase in the transfer of information and ideas between different countries through various forms of communication, the most predominant in recent periods being the internet. The clock represents that as time goes on the hunger artist s relationship with his audience continues to fail which starts the domino effect that carries over to the man s mental health. • 33. Summary-Literary Analysis of Mommy, What Does Nigger Mean... In Mommy, What Does Nigger Mean? , author Gloria Naylor explains throughout her piece that reality shapes language and language can shape reality. Naylor explains this, chicken or the egg dispute (Naylor 1) through her experiences with the word nigger. Gloria explains how she starts on one side of reality and shaping her language, then comes to another understanding from the boy in her third grade class. Language can be how words are used, what their meaning is and the purpose behind that selection of words. Reality is everyday life and experiences. When in third grade Naylor encounters nigger as a racial derogatory when a boy said nigger to her while receiving graded tests back. To Gloria it was anything but a racial put down since... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An instance of her exemplification is by calling someone a, trifling nigger (Naylor 2) is to say that person has a bad reputation of being drunk, foul or rude. Calling another person that name may be demeaning to their reputation but in no way does it discriminate against them racially. A second exemplifying definition is the possessive adjective use by a woman to her boyfriend or husband. When that woman calls her man my nigger (Naylor 2) it means a term of endearment or a compliment. By defining a word specifically one can alter the meaning and the reality of that word through language while excluding prejudice. Although exemplification plays a big role in proving Naylor s ideas, refutation backs up the examples and adds more content. Through instances of refutation she proves a great deal of supportive information to establish her ideas effectiveness by softening opposing opinions. Gloria shows refutation by exemplification of definitions that have no racial prejudice and how those accepted definitions from her family modeled her language. Another example of a definition used in the family is when talking about approval of a trait. In the passage the speaker says, I m telling you, that nigger pulled in $6,000 of overtime last year. (Naylor 2). The trait being approved of here would be drive or determination resulting in success. The second piece of negation is that the people in people in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This essay will compare the political, economic, social and military strengths and weaknesses of the North and South at the beginning of the Civil War. There were many reasons for the War of the States to be fought including, but not limited to slavery, separation of states, the Constitution, and the way of life. The North and South had many political strengths and weaknesses. The South had an amazing fighting spirit because they were fighting to preserve their way of life. They were also defending their home against the northern invaders. While the North was just fighting to continue the Union, and were not as inspired. Furthermore the North had the advantage of President Lincoln being from the North, when the South did not. The South had less states in its Confederacy with only a mere fifteen states, versus the North who had nineteen states in their Union. Lincoln believed that secession was illegal under the law of the Constitution and he would declare war against the rebelling states if necessary. For the first time in American history, Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas corpus, the right of prisoners to a trial, ergo the Union could arrest citizens who might have been southern sympathizers. I think that because the class was a collective effort rather than an individual one, it was more motivation for me to participate properly because people other than myself were relying on me. Due to the fact that we had written questions and homework for every reading as well as had to use a great deal of textual evidence throughout the discussions, I was constantly looking to refer back to the text, and make sure that my argument fit in with the discussion. Therefore, I got the most out of outcomefour, using the discussion and the process of writingto enhance my intellectual discovery. Once I got through the initial confusion, through the discussion and especially the second essay helped me develop his ideas of rightly ordered love . • 36. Metaphors And The Natural World Whether we know it or not, we make use of metaphors daily in many ways to help us make sense of the world. A metaphor is defined as a figure of speech that identifies an object or an idea that is similar to an unrelated thing. The use of metaphors and the language that they portray help to create new insight into the universe. They not only help classify the natural world, and help interpret the scientific world, but they also set outlooks on individuals culture and society; however, some may argue that metaphors are an impractical use of our language that only complicate things that can instead be stated clearer. Our perspectives and the way we think are directly linked to how we talk and communicate in in the natural world and how we are viwed by society. This is explained further in detailed in Metaphors We Live By, because it clearly shows how individuals shape their perspectives based on their experiences in society: In most of the little things we do every day, we simply think and act more or less automatically along certain lines, (Lackoff Johnson 3). This furthers proves how much metaphors can affect the way we think and the way we see the world from what we undergo and experience in our life it is what gives us an opinion on certain matters of race, gender, religion, etc. We all think and act according to how we interact with our society and it is the power of metaphors that help guide and change one s beliefs to help portray our own perspective for others. ... Euripides Support of Women’s Rights Essay Euripides Support of Women s Rights One can hardly deny that in Euripides plays women are often portrayed as weak, uncertain, and torn between what they must do and what they can bring themselves to do. Other women appear to be the root of grave evils, or simply perpetrators of heinous crimes. In a day when analysis of characters and plot had yet to be invented, it is easy to see why he might have been thought to be very much against women. To better understand this difference, a more in depth explanation of the art of tragedy is necessary. Tragedy was unique of all the forms of Greek art; it was seen as the only combination of the two classes of art. These two classes are named after Apollo and Dionysus, the two Greek art deities (Nietzsche 1). The Apollonian influence was seen as the art of things of form and structure, the molding or creation of something tangible. The Dionysian, on the other hand, was seen as the more plastic arts, music in particular, where the art lies as much in the performance as the conception. The Apollonian was seen as a creation brought on by a dream like state, perhaps induced by a god or sleep, while the Dionysian is usually attributed to high spirits, such as drunkenness (Nietzsche 1). As stated before, Tragedy was the unique combination of these two art influences. The Apollonian influence is seen in the writing of the play, as well as in its tangible aspects, the stage and costumes, for instance. The Dionysian art is represented by the music and by the exclusive nature of each performance (Nietzsche 2). The way Nietzsche saw it, the epitome of this was represented by the work of Sophocles and Aeschylus (Nietzsche 42). Euripides represented something contrary to the art of tragedy in the way it had been previously implemented. It is well documented that Euripides consorted with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A critical comparison of the two concepts will be the basis of this essay. Some theorists have hypothesised that the ease with which an employee can process information and work towards solutions (our cognitive intelligence) is the key aspect in our ability to contribute to the workplace, particularly in more complex environments (Viswesvaran Ones, 2002). It has been studied and elaborated upon so much, that what was initially a concise realm of specificity, has particularly in the area of EI testing become convoluted by measures of social intelligence and emotional and social competencies (Cherniss, 2010), which while similar to EI do distinctly deviate from the generally accepted Mayer et al. 2000 model of it. Some measures even include tests of cognitive intelligence, the concept with which it is supposedly in direct contrast. This has led to criticism about whether or not measures of EI have construct validity (Cherniss, 2010). From a theoretical standpoint the equivocality regarding an agreed definition of EI most specifically affects the theorists studying the concept. From an organisational perspective the practical implications of uncertainty surround the measurement of the concept, as opposed to its definition. For example if an organisation relies heavily on a team which is cohesive, cooperative and connected to one another the business may screen potential employees to ensure they will suit the role using a measure of emotional intelligence. Here in lay the problem; if a construct cannot be clearly defined, how can a test every truly have construct validity how can the variables indicating an particular outcome ever be accurate, when we do not know exactly what we are measuring? Moreover, a focus on EI within businesses and organisations could have significant drawbacks. Unavoidable though ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 1903, Rutherford saw that a French chemist, Paul Villard, had discovered a new type of radiation coming from radium, upon discerning that this new radiation was different then the ones he had already discovered due to its greater penetrating power, Rutherford named it Gamma radiation ( Ernest Rutherford , 2017). Acute Appendix Pain The most likely diagnosis for this severe abdominal pain located within her right lower quadrant and amongst her right side would be an acute appendicitis due to inflammation of the appendix. • 53. The Transfiguration By Matthew Told The Transfiguration The account of the transfiguration as Matthew told it, states: After six days... (Matt. 17:1). Seemingly, there are folks who read the Bible for no purpose other than to search for flaws. Of course, there are no mistakes in God s Word; nonetheless, there are those who have tried to discredit its message and they have used these verses, concerning the number of days, in support of their claim of a discrepancy. However, there is no contradiction here. Seldom does any event begin at exactly the same moment a day begins. There is almost always a portion of a day preceding a certain number of whole days and a portion of a day following the whole days. Matthew and Mark counted only the whole days. Luke recognized a part of the day that proceeded the six full days and a portion of the day, which followed them. Was it six days or about eight days? Both are correct. It s simply a matter of observing the same period of time from different viewpoints. Anyway, Jesus took Peter, James and John upon a high mountain. Although, the Bible does not name the mountain, logically there are only two possibilities; Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon. Peter called it The Holy Mountain (II Peter 1:18). Matthew and Mark both said they were up there alone on a high mountain. (Matt. 17:1 Mark 9:2). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
