Decision Of Philadelphia The Constitutional Convention Of...
In the book Decision in Philadelphia the Constitutional Convention of 1787 by Christopher Collier
and James Collier present an exclusive glance at the creating of the Constitution and the events that
made the Constitution the way people know it today. Christopher and James Collier begin with
historical events that led up to Constitutional creation and a brief summation of the events that were
taking place in the country during that time frame. The background that they give provides a good
base for the information and allows the reader to see things through the eyes of someone living in the
time. During that period, there were many challenges facing America at the time that would have
collision on the constitutional convention and the outcomes that would shape the country. One of them
being that there was very poor transportation routes and that adversely affected communications. For
example the authors quote The few interstate roads that existed were frequently nothing more than
mile upon mile of mud wallow, cut by hundreds of streams, creeks, and rivers, most of which were
unbridged, so they had to be forded, or crossed by ferry (Collier, 1986, p.14). As a result, due to a lack
of this foundation it was very challenging and time consuming for the citizens with travel and
communication and diversity was usually unfamiliar to people. At the time people also faced
challenges such as the country was divided by religion, ethics, language differences, and majorly

Short Essay On The Reconstruction Era
The Reconstruction Era began in 1865. This time period consisted of rebuilding the United States after
the Civil War. Slaves were set free and did not have the slightest idea on how to survive on their own.
Blacks were never legitimately free, with lack of resources and racist laws, the slaves had no choice
but to return to their masters. Blacks were set free, but their freedom was extremely limited due to the
strictness of racist laws. The laws were keeping blacks from bettering themselves to be able to survive
on their own without having to depend on whites. The laws were completely controlling freedmen s
liberty and lives. Curfews were set in order to keep slaves from getting together and forming groups.
The racists whites wanted to keep blacks from being able to protest or march for blacks rights. The
Louisiana Black Codes stated that no freed man who was not in the military could not have any
firearms or weapons of any kind. Without guns blacks would not be able to protect themselves. Blacks
would go hungry because they would not be able to hunt for food to survive unless blacks remained
dependent on whites for food and shelter. Money is also needed to go out and ... Show more content

My Vision And Plans For Personnel Psychology
With these words and emphasis, Taylor and Mosier (1948, p. 1) launched Personnel Psychology over
60 years ago. Then, as now, Personnel Psychology was centrally concerned with the study of people at
work. As the new editorial team begins its term, I want to take this opportunity to share my vision and
plans for Personnel Psychology. To understand where we are heading, however, it is helpful to first
consider where Personnel Psychology has been. As former editor John Hollenbeck noted when
describing some of Personnel Psychology s past ground breaking research, The impact that one has on
the future seems to be closely related to one s appreciation of the past (1998, p. 819). In that spirit, we
look forward by first looking back.

It is our intent as the incoming editorial team to continue P Psych s tradition of encouraging and
promoting research centered around people at work, something that has characterized the journal from
its inception (Cascio Aguinis, 2008). We are interested in publishing articles that will continue to

job analysis, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance appraisal and
feedback, compensation and rewards, careers, strategic human resource management, work design,
global and cross cultural issues, organizational climate, work attitudes and behaviors, motivation,

Comparing The Disparity Of The Motion Picture And Novel
Have you ever wanted to prove someone wrong? Have you ever put your mind to something so much
that you will stop at nothing to reach your goal? Then there is one heck of a good book and movie for
you to watch/read. The book that had later gotten adapted to become a movie is about how a young
boy named Sam Gribley goes to leave his family of sailors to live off the land on his grandfather s
farm. Usually when novels become movies somethings that happened in the novel might not happen
in the film. That is why I am going to write about the disparity of the motion picture and novel.
In the adapted version of the story there were a few things that were the same. A few things that were
the same were the first night Sam started living off the land

Student Internship Problems Of The State Of Kentucky
Student Internship Problems in the state of Kentucky
Abstract
Internship is an important and unavoidable component of higher education. In the state of Kentucky,
students of universities and institutions of higher education have been facing problems in getting the
appropriate and effective internship training.
This research studies the implementation of formal internship and cooperative pipeline training
programs in colleges, universities and local industries in the field of applied engineering and
technology in Kentucky. Data for the training programs is collected through the questionnaires which
have been directed specifically at university students currently in an applied engineering and
technology management programs, and also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These internet portals then serve as a platform for employers and students assisting both of them with
making a connection between students and employees. Students are allowed to post their resumes and
search for internship opportunities and employers are also able to post their temporary employment
needs. These existing techniques, while organized and supportive, are unfortunately failing to
effectively follow up to the task of providing internship training opportunities to all students wish to
secure such training.
In place of the current informal internship process just described as it is the proposal of this research
study that there is more organized, more formalized strategy which will be mentioned in this research
as a formal internship and cooperative pipeline training program (FICPTP) that could be created to
replace and enhance the existing procedure.
Hypotheses
The researcher referred two hypotheses in this study.
Hypothesis #1
In Kentucky, colleges and university faculty, students, and industry personnel in the field of applied
engineering and technology feel that the current internship and cooperative training system needs to
be improved.
Hypothesis #2

ranked second in the world according to Alexa. In the United Kingdom, Twitter is the second most
used platform (Cosenza, 2016). The population of the United Kingdom is 64.1 million, with 89% of
UK residents being active Internet users. The total number of social media users is 38 million, with
50% of the entire population access social media platforms via mobile phones. Furthermore, there has

mobile devices has increased by 7% (Think Digital First, 2016). The efficiency of Twitter as a social
media platform has been noticeable, as it remarkably affected the Mayoral election results than any
other platform, including Facebook and Instagram. By a simple feature offered by Twitter that can
enable voters to engage with the candidate through direct messaging, mentions and hashtags, Twitter
excelled in influencing the decision of the electors by real time interaction rather than just reading
about the Candidates and their activities. As described in the book Twitter and Society in 2014 by

Organization Background Of Literacy Connections Essay
ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND
Literacy Connections is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization founded in 1975 as Literacy Volunteers
of America Dutchess County, Inc. We later changed our name to Literacy Connections of the Hudson
Valley, Inc.
Literacy Connections (LC) is dedicated to developing and offering programs and services to support a
literate society. We recruit and train volunteers to provide no cost student centered tutoring primarily
for adults, and we offer programs and services for children and families that promote independence
and enrichment through literacy.
Literacy Connections serves adult students with the lowest literacy level and immigrants lacking the
language skills needed to get a job, help their school age children and navigate society. Volunteers are
recruited, trained and supported to provide one on one or small group tutoring to adult students.
Recognizing that illiteracy is a family issue, our Book Buddies and Classroom Book Buddies
programs recruits volunteers to read one to one once a week with a child who is struggling with
reading in the 2 4 grades. Our goal is to prevent adult illiteracy by helping children achieve grade level
or better reading skills at the critical time when children are transitioning from learning to read to
reading to learn.
Approximately 36 million adults in America are considered to be illiterate; about 14% of the entire
adult population cannot read or is limited to reading at the basic or below basic proficiency levels.

Free radical components have a relevant pathophysiological role in several types of autoimmune
human diseases such as heart failure, shock, atherosclerosis, etc[27]. It is essential to counteract this
oxidative stress and thereby enhance immunity of body system. The immunomodulatory agents are
being used as adjuvant therapy in oxidative stress induced various diseases or vice versa. A very few
modern medicines are available to treat the oxidative stress and immunesenescence; which are costly
and posses serious side effect. On the contrary, the natural antioxidants are safer choice in the
treatment of oxidative stress and immunesenescence. Immunological agents of plant origin enhance
the immune responsiveness of an organism against a pathogen by non specifically activating the
immune system. Natural antioxidants can act as potential therapeutic agents against many diseases
resulting from oxidative stress. Nowadays there has been increasing interest in the investigation of
medicinal plants for the discovery of new antimicrobial, immunomodulatory and antioxidant

Heart Attacks Or Myocardial Infarctions
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) every year about 735,000 Americans have a heart
attack. Of these, 525,000 are a first heart attack and 210,000 happen in people who have already had a
heart attack (CDC, 2015). Heart attacks or myocardial infarctions (MI) can be fatal if appropriate steps
and protocols are not followed soon after the onset. It requires critical thinking by nurses and the
health care team to reduce the damage to the heart and prevent death. Every year 425,000 people in
the United States die from a MI (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 831, 2013). Key nursing interventions, and
implications will be emphasized as well as common complications that may occur. Pathophysiology
Myocardial infarction is defined as irreversible necrosis of myocardial tissue as a result of inadequate
blood flow for a critical period of time. (Duksta Younker, 2012). A MI occurs when cardiac tissue is
suddenly deprived of oxygen. Most MIs are the result of atherosclerosis of a coronary artery, rupture
of the plaque, subsequent thrombosis, and occlusion of blood flow (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 829,
2013). When there is a blood flow reduction in the heart of 80% to 90%, ischemia occurs, which can
be followed by necrosis of cardiac tissue if blood flow is not reestablished. A MI is further broken
down by the American College of Cardiology, there is the non ST elevation MI (NSTEMI) and the ST
elevation MI (STEMI), with the ST elevation showing on a 12 lead

Postmenopausal Women With Hip Fractures
Osteoporosis, or thinning bones, can result in painful fractures. Risk factors for osteoporosis include
aging, being female, low body weight, low sex hormones or menopause, smoking, and some
medications. Prevention and treatment include calcium and vitamin D, exercise, and osteoporosis
medications.
It is believed that low Vitamin D levels cause hip fractures, but there is limited information available
on vitamin D levels in US women admitted with acute hip fractures. Research was done to determine
whether postmenopausal women with hip fractures have low Vitamin D and high parathyroid levels
compared with non osteoporotic and osteoporotic women admitted for elective joint replacement. 805
postmenopausal women, scheduled for joint replacement were identified by daily monitoring of
orthopedic admissions between January 1995 and June 1998, including 262 women admitted to
Brigham and Women s Hospital with acute hip fracture and 543 women scheduled for elective joint
replacement either at the Brigham and Women s Hospital or the New England Baptist Hospital in
Boston, Mass. Postmenopausal women who experienced either natural or surgical menopause with
amenorrhea for 12 months were recruited for this study. Women receiving estrogen replacement
therapy were included (46% of patients).Women were excluded if they were taking any other

(MedlinePlus) There are many components regarding Intravenous Catheters. Peripheral Intravenous
Catheters
I will begin with talking about peripheral intravenous catheters. It is a tool within the hospitals or care
facilities to quickly provide medications, nutrition, and fluids through the blood stream. (Peripheral)
There are two types of methods for delivery. Continuous IV is for long term use and is for replacement
or maintaining fluids and electrolytes. Intermittent IV s are administration of medications and
supplement fluids. To maintain an intermittent IV, you use saline and heparin locks so you don t have
the need for continuous infusion. (Morris) Peripheral IV catheters are strictly for short term use.
(Potter) The most common sites for peripheral lines are in the arm, hand, scalp of an infant. In more
serious occasions you can use the veins in the leg (Morris) Central Venous Catheters
Now I want to talk about vascular access devices. They can be catheters as well as ports and are for
repeated access. This includes central venous catheter, peripherally inserted central catheters and
implanted ports. (Potter) A central venous catheter is a way to provide medications, nutrition, fluid,
and blood products for a long period of time. The difference of a central venous catheter and
peripheral intravenous catheter is, the central venous is usually inserted in a vein that goes directly to
the heart. Also, central venous catheters

Research Project On Global Solar Radiation

in the project was putting together data from the internet data base. Also, actual meteorological data
requests for the sites under study were made but no respond. Hence, developed forecast models data
base to put together the data needed for the study.
1.1 Data Source and Sorting
Meteorological parameter data for four regional towns in PNG were collected for this study. In
addition, geographical locations and each sites geometrical standard parameters were calculated using
formulas used by [43] in developing empirical solar radiation prediction models. Global solar
radiation (GRS) data were obtained from National Aeronautics ... Show more content on

A combine total of 19,240 data for the four regional sites were supposed to be sampled for the neural
network training (including the leap days). However, substantial amount of missing daily mean data
were observed for each site. Table 1 summarizes the breakup of data sample used for this project..
All the data were sorted into daily and monthly mean as inputs for training, testing and validation,
with solar radiation as target output data. The 2016 meteorological data (January to September) were
sample data used for training and predicting solar radiation.
In data pre processing, the raw data is normalized to remove the outliers and inaccurate data in the
hope of achieving good results. Several statistical procedures are used in this purpose as highlighted
by [38, 39]. However, in order to fully appreciate the importance and reliability of ANN in actually
predicting solar radiation without using normalized or pre processed data, it was necessary to use the
primary data [48]. The dates that had no recordings, that is missing data, blanks, errors, and zeros were
deleted with their corresponding rows of values [40].
The four regional sites have varying seasonal weather patterns, therefore it was important that to
improve the reliability of the ANN training output, geographical information of the locations had to be
included in the models. Similar studies

A Comparison Of Louis Armstrong And Paul Desmond
Louis Armstrong and Paul Desmond
Louis Armstrong: He is known to The King of Jazz as Louis Satchmo. He was actually one of the
most outstanding personalities in the early jazz. He is believed to be the one defining jazz music. The
significance of jazz according to him is creation of a new something of an ancient, making. He gave a
helping hand in the creation plus the representation of a brand new element of a twist on the popular
music.
According to McClendon 2015, when most of us listen to the world contrasted leader, we tend to think
of a being which is extraordinary. A human being that is completely contrasting to the others. We have
seen and heard about very many leaders in the past decades but Louis Armstrong is a great one. His
leading of a great life of music was portrayed in diverse ways. He brought his own style of music that
actually became so loved and cherished around the entire globe. However, he was born on August 4th,
1901 in the New Orleans. He made tremendous achievements in the course of his life and in the
course of doing what he was comfortable with, he became a leader of sound mind cherished and
respected by everybody despite the troublesome painful years he had while still a young boy. Louis
had a hard and painful childhood. His biological dad had just abandoned the family when he was a

Also known as Glass box Testing. Internal software and code working should be known for this type
of testing. Tests are based on coverage of code statements, branches, paths, conditions. 3. Unit testing
Testing of individual software components or modules. Typically done by the programmer and not by
testers, as it requires detailed knowledge of the internal program design and code. May require
developing test driver modules or test harnesses. 4. Incremental integration testing Bottom up
approach for testing i.e continuous testing of an application as new functionality is added; Application
functionality and modules should be independent enough to test separately done by programmers or
by testers. 5. Integration testing Testing of integrated modules to verify combined functionality after
integration. Modules are typically code modules, individual applications, client and server
applications on a network, etc. This type of testing is especially relevant to client/server and
distributed systems. 6. Functional testing This type of testing ignores the internal parts and focus on
the output is as per requirement or not. Black box type testing geared to functional requirements of an
application. 7. System testing Entire system is tested as per the requirements. Black box type testing

Polar Ice Caps Cause And Effects
The polar ice caps that we see today have taken centuries to form and they ve been melting from time
to time in order to form lakes and rivers that are essential not only for animal and plant life, but for
humans as well all over the world. Furthermore, as precipitation takes its toll the ice caps that melt
gets replaced by fresh snow that is later on over time converted to ice. Thus it is safe to say that the
melting of the polar ice caps is a normal occurrence, however it becomes a problem when the ice caps
melt at a fast rate and turning into water faster and in more quantity than the fresh snow replacing it.
This is the current situation of most of today s polar ice caps all over the world. As they reduce in size,
stability, and strength they eventually break off and melt away thereby increasing sea levels among
other things. The major consequences of melting polar ice caps can be said in the following order
below: We are currently experiencing warmer temperatures all over the world today as temperatures
have gone high, and global warming is becoming more alarming day by day. This rise in temperature
helps polar ice caps melt faster than it should be. Ice caps have even disappeared in certain parts of the
world due to this. The melting of the polar ice caps increases global warming because ice glaciers
deflects or bounces off about 80% heat from the sun and retain or absorb about 20% of it. However,
when sunlight falls on earth, only 20% of the heat is deflected and

Standardize Work
Standardized work is one of the most powerful but least used lean tools. By documenting the current
best practice, standardized work forms the baseline for kaizen or continuous improvement. As the
standard is improved, the new standard becomes the baseline for further improvements, and so on.
Improving standardized work is a never ending process. Basically, standardized work consists of three
elements: Takt time, which is the rate at which products must be made in a process to meet customer
demand The precise work sequence in which an operator performs tasks within takt time The standard
inventory, including units in machines, required to keep the process operating smoothly Establishing

At Toyota workers are encouraged every single day to come up with improvement suggestions. And as
their new ideas are tested, accepted and implemented the standard worksheets are updated. Consider
as you work in your Kaizen Groups how to make your decisions visible to all, how to prepare a
standardized work form, and where the form should be displayed.
http://www.leanblog.org/2010/02/my thoughts on standardized work/ I ve written about many of these
ideas and themes before in various blog posts, but I wanted to consolidate my thoughts on the Lean
concept of standardized work in a single place. This is partly for my own personal reference (and
future linking), but also can prompt some discussion amongst my friends, the Lean Blog readers.
What I m documenting here is consistent with what I ve been teaching and coaching people on in

Social Policy Within The Global Economy
When discussing social policy within the current global economy, it s quite impossible to ignore the
effects of globalisation on nation states but also in the overall global economy in relation to poverty,
environmental changes, trade, culture etc. Globalisation is a highly contested term due to its broad
definition which causes confusion as to what it actually means (Gills, 2002; Higgot, 1999). Yeates
(2002) refers to globalisation as the loosening of boundaries of things such as trade, labour and
migration and further goes on to speak of strong globalisation to indicate the intensity and inevitable
nature especially in relation to the constraints globalisation poses on national governments and the
policy making process. Events such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There will also be a heavy focus on transnational corporations as they are seen as one of the most
important actors in shaping social policy. It is important to remember that globalisation in not only
about economic effects but it can also be discussed in relation to political globalisation and how
political decisions have shifted due to upwards to the European Union and beyond also cultural
globalisation that has seen the Mcdonalization of traditional culture into the international culture of
consumerism (Ritzer,1993).
Ginsburg (2001) looked as social policy within Ireland and the UK and argues that changes that have
occurred within the nation state have been due to neo liberal hegemony. During the 1980 s under the
Margaret Thatcher administration there was an adaptation of neo liberalism as restraints were put on
social expenditure, taxation of individuals and corporations and there was an increase in the flexibility
of labour markets as the markets are seen as wealth creating mechanisms (Ginsburg, 2001; Cerny and
Evans, 2004). The intensification of neo liberal globalisation has left governments trying to find a
balance between competing with demands of economic globalisation whilst also considering the
possible economic and

The New Way Of Economic Stability
The New World presented numerous challenges for the new English settlers in Virginia. The settlers
were in search for financial prosperity through the discovery of gold but their continuous efforts left
them empty handed. Time quickly elapsed and their perseverance of searching quickly dwindled.
Now, the Europeans needed to establish a concrete way of economic stability. In 1612, John Rolfe, an
agriculturalist from Jamestown, introduced a more mild strain of tobacco to the Virginia colony
(Brinkley 37). The colonists quickly realized the monetary potential of the crop and began selling it to
eager buyers in England. The high cultivation of tobacco in the Virginian colony completely
transformed the society as a whole. Growing tobacco ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The men welcomed all settlers with open arms, promising religious freedom to everyone who would
worship as a Christian and also a measure of political freedom. With the use of these incentives they
hoped to attract settlers from the existing American colonies to avoid the expense of financing future
expeditions from England. The initial efforts failed miserably and some of the original proprietors
gave up. Anthony Ashley Cooper, one of the proprietors, was persistent on trying to make their system
work. Cooper convinced his partners to finance a migration to Carolina from England (Brinkley 49).
The first expedition had 300 people on board with only 100 surviving the difficult voyage. After ten
years of settling, the people founded a city at the cross between the Ashley and Cooper Rivers, which
in 1690 became the colonial capital called Charles Town (Brinkley 50). After Lord Shaftesbury s
death, the proprietors had trouble keeping order and in 1719 the colonists seized control from them.
Ten years late, the king divided the region into two royal colonies, North and South Carolina
(Brinkley 51).
South Carolina developed close connection to the English colony on the island of Barbados early on.
For several years, Barbados served as South Carolina s most important trading partner. During

Crisis Analysis of Kodak
Executive Summary
Eastman Kodak CO. which headquartered in Rochester New York, USA, was founded in 1892 by
George Eastman. The company holds a vital role in the innovation and development of the motion
picture industries as well as the film photographic industry. Kodak organized itself in 3 key segments:
the Graphic Communication Group (GCG); the Film, Photofinishing, Entertainment Group (FPEG)
and the Consumer Digital Imaging Group (CGD). )
This report relays to Kodak s managers the importance of one s company strength and weakness as
well as advices on how to manage their crisis in the most effective manner. Feedbacks and

In short, Kodak was beaten by digital revolution.
The trouble began 20 years ago, with the decline of film photography. In the 1990s, Kodak poured
billions into developing technology for taking pictures using mobile phones and other digital devices.
Kodak s engineer Steve Sasson invented digital camera. Steve put together a toaster sized contraption
that could save images using electronic circuits. The images were transferred onto a tape cassette and
were viewable by attaching the camera to a TV screen, a process that took 23 seconds. It was an
astonishing achievement in 1975, long before the digital age.
Kodak s bosses were amazed by the invention of this technology but they did not fully see its
potential. Instead, Kodak s leaders concluded that going digital meant killing film, smashing the
company s golden egg to make way for the new. Mr Sasson saw in hindsight that he had not exactly
won them over when he unveiled his newly invented toy. Don Strickland, a former vice president left
the company in 1993 because he could not persuade Kodak s bosses to manufacture and market a
digital camera. He felt that it was absurd when they have developed the world s first consumer digital
camera but was not approved to launch or sell it because of fearing the negative effects that will bring
to the film market.

No government in the Middle East wanted the Arab Spring to succeed. The Arab Spring were grass
root protest s that citizens of multiple Middle Eastern countries involved themselves to reform their
own governments. From North Africa to the Gulf States, there were yells for reform and a more
representative government by the people. These reforms for the most part failed, some countries
received full regime change like Egypt, others got lucky and held moderate reform (Morocco), and
others like the gulf state that had the resources, paid their citizen s to not protest. In the worst case
there was war and violence, the most prevalent of which have been in Libya, Iraq, and Syria. There

Capetian Kings of France
What factors promoted the authority of the Capetian Kings of France in the Twelfth century?
France in the eleventh century had been a fragmented land, divided into federal principalities, or mini
states ruled by princes or dukes. Though they recognized the King of France s authority they did not
expect him to exercise it in their individual territories. Feudalism increased the power of these mini
states in the twelfth century, and was the tool used by the Capetian Kings of France to advance their
influence and wealth. Why and how the Capetian dynasty sought to establish and then successfully
utilize this particular system will be the main focus of my essay.

This made way for another advance in solidifying royal power by helping to make the crown
hereditary. The king s son was permitted to be crowned during his father s lifetime in order to preserve
the healing touch. The church gave the monarch a higher degree of moral credibility and in return the
church gained more prestige. One therefore increased the standing of the other in medieval France.
Louis VI s chief minister and ecclesiastical advisor was Abbot Suger of St Denise. He held his
prestigious office from 1122 to his death in 1155, during which time he recorded a history of his king,
The Life of Louis the Fat. As a result of this great power he held in France, he was very much
involved in French politics and virtually ran the Kingdom while King Louis VI was away on crusade.
This aspect of Suger s career would explain his proximity and involvement in the monarch s progress
in gaining a more prominent role in European affairs, and as a result of this proximity, why he was in a
position to chronicle Louis s life. He seems to play a significant role in promoting Capetian authority
in how he portrays Louis as a most pious and worthy king to serve under. He states in the introduction
of his biography that with my pen I describe his devotion to the church s worship of God and implores
his contemporaries and readers not to forget Louis VI s marvellous zeal for the good of the

The Rapid Growth Of Population Essay
Introduction:
The reason I chose this topic is because in my country Ethiopia the rapid growth of population
alarmed me, just around the 1965 our population was very low however in the past few years it has
tripled form 20 million to over 100 million. This was when my interest in my countries population
developed. Population is one of the conversational topics when talking about a countries profile, in
view of the fact that it plays a huge role, in a countries work force, consumption and economy. I will
be collecting data and modelling them to predict the population for the next 5 to 10 years. I will also
be doing this for Kenya to see the relationship between the two countries to prove that this rapid
growth of population is happening not only in our country but in our neighboring countries too.
The data collected is imprecise because it is affected by many variables. The mortality rate of the
people in Ethiopia can affect my data highly. During this time Ethiopia had a high rate of migration,
this could also be included as one of the variables that have affected my data. I will be using this set of
data to draw a graph so that I can generate a model to represent this data so that I can use it to predict
the population after five years.

It doesn t matter what industry you re in. If you look at your competition, you ll see that most of them
are using similar marketing strategies and tactics to attract and keep their customers. Some of them are
doing better than others, but the methods are nearly identical.
If you want to eliminate the competition, you will need to distinguish yourself. And the easiest way to
do this is to be authentic. Yeah, it might sound like a cliché, but nobody is identical to you, so if you
be yourself, you ll attract the clients who want to work with you, because of you.
The question to ask yourself is, How am I different?
When I go to networking events, people are often trying to attract me to their referral networks.
Sometimes I will ask a question such as, There are hundreds of people in the city offering the same
products and services as you, and I m already working with a couple of great ones, so how are you
different from them? Rarely will people talk about how they, themselves, are unique. Most often, they

Rough Draft About Friendship
Friendship draft
A true friend is someone who would stop whatever they are doing to help you through anything and
you would do the same for them. In a friendship both people need to posses the same essential traits
for the friendship to be successful. Friends are a big part of my life because without them life would
be very dull. I think God made us to find people that we are compatible with so we can go through life
together. Three traits that a person should posses to be a good friend are honesty, loyalty and
encouragement. In my experience my friends who live out all three of these traits fully, are my closest
friends and I hold the same traits back to them.
Honesty is a difficult subject when it comes to friendship. There are two ways it can go. The first
scenario being one lies to their friend because they think they are protecting their feelings. This case is
bad because if you are always lying to your friend they are not going to trust you. The second scenario
is you are always honest to your friend about everything. When you are being too honest it can be
taken offensively and hurt the friendship. True friends find the perfect balance between the two. They
are honest with each other but they discuss topics in a respectful manner. ... Show more content on

When you are feeling sad or depressed a true friend will always be right there to pick you up and
encourage you until you feel better. Life is hard and honestly having someone to just say the right
thing at the right time to get you through the hard time. Maybe they will give you that extra boost to
just keep going. I know personally lately I have been having a lot of negativity and jealousy towards
me and I was letting other peoples words get to me, but in that situation I found out who my true
friends are and they encouraged me and that is something I will never

Essay on The Hard-Boiled Detective
The movie The Maltese Falcon is about a private investigator who is striving to unravel the mystery
surrounding a black enamelled bird known as the Maltese Falcon. Samuel Spade, the protagonist of
the story, is what was known as a hard boiled detective. Men such as that rarely show a tender side (if
they have one). Likewise, they are physically tough, frequently resorting to guns or fists to get what
they want. In addition, they tend to be amoral, yet with an inflexible code of honour of their own. The
first element of the persona of the hard boiled detective is the fact that they rarely show an affectionate
side. Throughout the entire movie, Sam Spade acts in a careless and nonchalant manner. Nothing
bothers him and he doesn t seem ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In The Maltese Falcon, Sam never carries a gun. However, he does use his fists a number of times.
When Cairo comes to his office the first time, he pulls a gun on Sam. Spade then disarms him and
knocks him out in order to search him. Later on, in his apartment, he slaps Cairo when he refuses to
cooperate. Finally, he disarms Wilmer in the hotel just to show that he has control. Like most of the
hard boiled detectives of this era, Spade uses aggression to fulfill his goals. The third attribute of the
hard boiled detective is that they are often amoral. Sam Spade certainly fits this criteria. To begin, we
find out that he is having an affair with his partner s, Miles Archer, wife. That, however, is just the
beginning. After Miles dies Spade wants nothing more to do with Mrs. Archer and continually pushes
her away. He shows no loyalty to anyone other than himself. He is not upset at his partner s death.
Instead, he treats it like any other murder case. He acts with coldness towards other people and does
what helps him instead of applying to the moral code that most people use. Finally, the hard boiled
detectives of this era also had an inflexible code of honour themselves. Sam Spade, though often
insensitive and selfish, does have honour. First of all he give the police the money he takes from
Gutman as a bribe to use as evidence against the four criminals. Secondly, he turns Brigit in. This is

Disadvantages Of Public Transport
I. Introduction (Christian Matthew Carbonell)
Everyday people would take different forms of transport simply because of some occasions and
obligations to attend to. Many people prefer using public transportation vehicles because they don t
have the budget to buy their own cars or because no one would accompany them to their destination.
Most people would wake up very early and set their time. Some would record how long and how fast
they should be taking a transport. Recording the time of walking to the transportation terminal, the
amount of time inside, and going to work or school is a good way for a commuter to develop time
management. No one can really predict what may occur when taking a transport. The recorded time
will not be the same as the next time the person would commute, because there would be unexpected
events that could either delay or hasten travel. It is a person s decision whether to keep going or stop.
A common issue in riding a transport is the limited amount of people are allowed to go inside that
transport. Commuters would usually be stressed, because of technical difficulties or problem. There is
a Facebook page called MRT: Mga kuwento ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

people need to use mass transport to meet commitments or fulfill obligations like going to school or

However, there are many forms of public transport for people to choose from and not all of them
available in a given situation are convenient for the job, so people tend to be choosy with these modes

Examples Of Propaganda During The Baroque Period
During the Baroque period, propaganda uses art in order to convey the messages of religious issues;
Counter Reformation for Roman Catholic church.1 In addition, in today s society, it is used widely to
achieve a desired result socially, politically, and economically.2 Through these examples of
propaganda such as Gianlorenzo Bernini s The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa for the Baroque period and a
song about anti immigration to America by La Bestia, and a poster about Obama s campaign for the
contemporary society, how the propaganda is used and defined according to the times is shown.
Propaganda helps demonstrate superiority of Catholicism and doctrinal differences between
Catholicism and Protestantism for church by using art, such as paintings,

Descriptive Essay On Being A Waitress
It s always nice to go out to eat, order a nice meal that you do not have to cook and be served
everything you want. When going out to eat, have you ever thought about the person that is serving
you food, getting you drinks, and making sure you have a pleasant experience at the restaurant of your
choice? That person is a server. He or she is a waiter or waitress. I ve gone out to eat a lot, and I ve
always been a little curious what is like to be the person serving the food and not eating it. I chose to
research this subculture because I was so curious about it. I have some friends that wait tables, but I
hadn t really thought about how being a waitress involves so many things aside from serving food.
Waitressing is more about handling all different types of people, and learning to multitask successfully
than just serving food. When I go out to eat, I usually only notice if the waitress or waiter is nice to me
and my party. I make sure that all of the food and drinks come out the way we ordered them, and I
also pay attention to how the food tastes. When I started my research and observation for this
ethnography, I started to pay more attention the server when I was eating at restaurants. I started to
notice how many tables the server waited on, I noticed how many times he or she had to take food
back to the kitchen because someone thought it was wrong or not cooked right, and I also noticed how
unhappy he or she was when they left a certain table. I have also

  • 2. Decision Of Philadelphia The Constitutional Convention Of... In the book Decision in Philadelphia the Constitutional Convention of 1787 by Christopher Collier and James Collier present an exclusive glance at the creating of the Constitution and the events that made the Constitution the way people know it today. Christopher and James Collier begin with historical events that led up to Constitutional creation and a brief summation of the events that were taking place in the country during that time frame. The background that they give provides a good base for the information and allows the reader to see things through the eyes of someone living in the time. During that period, there were many challenges facing America at the time that would have collision on the constitutional convention and the outcomes that would shape the country. One of them being that there was very poor transportation routes and that adversely affected communications. For example the authors quote The few interstate roads that existed were frequently nothing more than mile upon mile of mud wallow, cut by hundreds of streams, creeks, and rivers, most of which were unbridged, so they had to be forded, or crossed by ferry (Collier, 1986, p.14). As a result, due to a lack of this foundation it was very challenging and time consuming for the citizens with travel and communication and diversity was usually unfamiliar to people. At the time people also faced challenges such as the country was divided by religion, ethics, language differences, and majorly economic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Short Essay On The Reconstruction Era The Reconstruction Era began in 1865. This time period consisted of rebuilding the United States after the Civil War. Slaves were set free and did not have the slightest idea on how to survive on their own. Blacks were never legitimately free, with lack of resources and racist laws, the slaves had no choice but to return to their masters. Blacks were set free, but their freedom was extremely limited due to the strictness of racist laws. The laws were keeping blacks from bettering themselves to be able to survive on their own without having to depend on whites. The laws were completely controlling freedmen s liberty and lives. Curfews were set in order to keep slaves from getting together and forming groups. The racists whites wanted to keep blacks from being able to protest or march for blacks rights. The Louisiana Black Codes stated that no freed man who was not in the military could not have any firearms or weapons of any kind. Without guns blacks would not be able to protect themselves. Blacks would go hungry because they would not be able to hunt for food to survive unless blacks remained dependent on whites for food and shelter. Money is also needed to go out and ... Then, as now, Personnel Psychology was centrally concerned with the study of people at work. As the new editorial team begins its term, I want to take this opportunity to share my vision and plans for Personnel Psychology. To understand where we are heading, however, it is helpful to first consider where Personnel Psychology has been. As former editor John Hollenbeck noted when describing some of Personnel Psychology s past ground breaking research, The impact that one has on the future seems to be closely related to one s appreciation of the past (1998, p. 819). In that spirit, we look forward by first looking back. From its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We are interested in publishing articles that will continue to represent the full range of human resource management and organizational behavior topics, including job analysis, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance appraisal and feedback, compensation and rewards, careers, strategic human resource management, work design, global and cross cultural issues, organizational climate, work attitudes and behaviors, motivation, teams, and leadership. Have you ever put your mind to something so much that you will stop at nothing to reach your goal? Then there is one heck of a good book and movie for you to watch/read. The book that had later gotten adapted to become a movie is about how a young boy named Sam Gribley goes to leave his family of sailors to live off the land on his grandfather s farm. Usually when novels become movies somethings that happened in the novel might not happen in the film. That is why I am going to write about the disparity of the motion picture and novel. Heart attacks or myocardial infarctions (MI) can be fatal if appropriate steps and protocols are not followed soon after the onset. It requires critical thinking by nurses and the health care team to reduce the damage to the heart and prevent death. Every year 425,000 people in the United States die from a MI (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 831, 2013). Key nursing interventions, and implications will be emphasized as well as common complications that may occur. Pathophysiology Myocardial infarction is defined as irreversible necrosis of myocardial tissue as a result of inadequate blood flow for a critical period of time. (Duksta Younker, 2012). A MI occurs when cardiac tissue is suddenly deprived of oxygen. Most MIs are the result of atherosclerosis of a coronary artery, rupture of the plaque, subsequent thrombosis, and occlusion of blood flow (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 829, 2013). When there is a blood flow reduction in the heart of 80% to 90%, ischemia occurs, which can be followed by necrosis of cardiac tissue if blood flow is not reestablished. A MI is further broken down by the American College of Cardiology, there is the non ST elevation MI (NSTEMI) and the ST elevation MI (STEMI), with the ST elevation showing on a 12 lead ... Risk factors for osteoporosis include aging, being female, low body weight, low sex hormones or menopause, smoking, and some medications. Prevention and treatment include calcium and vitamin D, exercise, and osteoporosis medications. It is believed that low Vitamin D levels cause hip fractures, but there is limited information available on vitamin D levels in US women admitted with acute hip fractures. Research was done to determine whether postmenopausal women with hip fractures have low Vitamin D and high parathyroid levels compared with non osteoporotic and osteoporotic women admitted for elective joint replacement. 805 postmenopausal women, scheduled for joint replacement were identified by daily monitoring of orthopedic admissions between January 1995 and June 1998, including 262 women admitted to Brigham and Women s Hospital with acute hip fracture and 543 women scheduled for elective joint replacement either at the Brigham and Women s Hospital or the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Mass. Postmenopausal women who experienced either natural or surgical menopause with amenorrhea for 12 months were recruited for this study. (MedlinePlus) There are many components regarding Intravenous Catheters. Peripheral Intravenous Catheters I will begin with talking about peripheral intravenous catheters. It is a tool within the hospitals or care facilities to quickly provide medications, nutrition, and fluids through the blood stream. (Peripheral) There are two types of methods for delivery. Continuous IV is for long term use and is for replacement or maintaining fluids and electrolytes. Intermittent IV s are administration of medications and supplement fluids. To maintain an intermittent IV, you use saline and heparin locks so you don t have the need for continuous infusion. (Morris) Peripheral IV catheters are strictly for short term use. (Potter) The most common sites for peripheral lines are in the arm, hand, scalp of an infant. In more serious occasions you can use the veins in the leg (Morris) Central Venous Catheters Now I want to talk about vascular access devices. They can be catheters as well as ports and are for repeated access. This includes central venous catheter, peripherally inserted central catheters and implanted ports. (Potter) A central venous catheter is a way to provide medications, nutrition, fluid, and blood products for a long period of time. The difference of a central venous catheter and peripheral intravenous catheter is, the central venous is usually inserted in a vein that goes directly to the heart. All the data were sorted into daily and monthly mean as inputs for training, testing and validation, with solar radiation as target output data. The 2016 meteorological data (January to September) were sample data used for training and predicting solar radiation. In data pre processing, the raw data is normalized to remove the outliers and inaccurate data in the hope of achieving good results. Several statistical procedures are used in this purpose as highlighted by [38, 39]. However, in order to fully appreciate the importance and reliability of ANN in actually predicting solar radiation without using normalized or pre processed data, it was necessary to use the primary data [48]. The dates that had no recordings, that is missing data, blanks, errors, and zeros were deleted with their corresponding rows of values [40]. • 19. Polar Ice Caps Cause And Effects The polar ice caps that we see today have taken centuries to form and they ve been melting from time to time in order to form lakes and rivers that are essential not only for animal and plant life, but for humans as well all over the world. Furthermore, as precipitation takes its toll the ice caps that melt gets replaced by fresh snow that is later on over time converted to ice. Thus it is safe to say that the melting of the polar ice caps is a normal occurrence, however it becomes a problem when the ice caps melt at a fast rate and turning into water faster and in more quantity than the fresh snow replacing it. This is the current situation of most of today s polar ice caps all over the world. As they reduce in size, stability, and strength they eventually break off and melt away thereby increasing sea levels among other things. The major consequences of melting polar ice caps can be said in the following order below: We are currently experiencing warmer temperatures all over the world today as temperatures have gone high, and global warming is becoming more alarming day by day. This rise in temperature helps polar ice caps melt faster than it should be. Ice caps have even disappeared in certain parts of the world due to this. The melting of the polar ice caps increases global warming because ice glaciers deflects or bounces off about 80% heat from the sun and retain or absorb about 20% of it. However, when sunlight falls on earth, only 20% of the heat is deflected and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the 1990s, Kodak poured billions into developing technology for taking pictures using mobile phones and other digital devices. Kodak s engineer Steve Sasson invented digital camera. Steve put together a toaster sized contraption that could save images using electronic circuits. The images were transferred onto a tape cassette and were viewable by attaching the camera to a TV screen, a process that took 23 seconds. It was an astonishing achievement in 1975, long before the digital age. Kodak s bosses were amazed by the invention of this technology but they did not fully see its potential. The Rapid Growth Of Population Essay Introduction: The reason I chose this topic is because in my country Ethiopia the rapid growth of population alarmed me, just around the 1965 our population was very low however in the past few years it has tripled form 20 million to over 100 million. This was when my interest in my countries population developed. Population is one of the conversational topics when talking about a countries profile, in view of the fact that it plays a huge role, in a countries work force, consumption and economy. I will be collecting data and modelling them to predict the population for the next 5 to 10 years. I will also be doing this for Kenya to see the relationship between the two countries to prove that this rapid growth of population is happening not only in our country but in our neighboring countries too. The data collected is imprecise because it is affected by many variables. The mortality rate of the people in Ethiopia can affect my data highly. During this time Ethiopia had a high rate of migration, this could also be included as one of the variables that have affected my data. Likewise, they are physically tough, frequently resorting to guns or fists to get what they want. In addition, they tend to be amoral, yet with an inflexible code of honour of their own. Later on, in his apartment, he slaps Cairo when he refuses to cooperate. Finally, he disarms Wilmer in the hotel just to show that he has control. Like most of the hard boiled detectives of this era, Spade uses aggression to fulfill his goals. The third attribute of the hard boiled detective is that they are often amoral. Sam Spade certainly fits this criteria. To begin, we find out that he is having an affair with his partner s, Miles Archer, wife. That, however, is just the beginning. After Miles dies Spade wants nothing more to do with Mrs. Archer and continually pushes her away. He shows no loyalty to anyone other than himself. He is not upset at his partner s death. Instead, he treats it like any other murder case. He acts with coldness towards other people and does what helps him instead of applying to the moral code that most people use. Finally, the hard boiled detectives of this era also had an inflexible code of honour themselves. Sam Spade, though often insensitive and selfish, does have honour. First of all he give the police the money he takes from Gutman as a bribe to use as evidence against the four criminals. Secondly, he turns Brigit in. This is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Disadvantages Of Public Transport I. Introduction (Christian Matthew Carbonell) Everyday people would take different forms of transport simply because of some occasions and obligations to attend to. Many people prefer using public transportation vehicles because they don t have the budget to buy their own cars or because no one would accompany them to their destination. Most people would wake up very early and set their time. Some would record how long and how fast they should be taking a transport. Recording the time of walking to the transportation terminal, the amount of time inside, and going to work or school is a good way for a commuter to develop time management. No one can really predict what may occur when taking a transport. The recorded time will not be the same as the next time the person would commute, because there would be unexpected events that could either delay or hasten travel. It is a person s decision whether to keep going or stop. A common issue in riding a transport is the limited amount of people are allowed to go inside that transport. Commuters would usually be stressed, because of technical difficulties or problem. There is a Facebook page called MRT: Mga kuwento ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 36. Descriptive Essay On Being A Waitress It s always nice to go out to eat, order a nice meal that you do not have to cook and be served everything you want. When going out to eat, have you ever thought about the person that is serving you food, getting you drinks, and making sure you have a pleasant experience at the restaurant of your choice? That person is a server. He or she is a waiter or waitress. I ve gone out to eat a lot, and I ve always been a little curious what is like to be the person serving the food and not eating it. I chose to research this subculture because I was so curious about it. I have some friends that wait tables, but I hadn t really thought about how being a waitress involves so many things aside from serving food. Waitressing is more about handling all different types of people, and learning to multitask successfully than just serving food. When I go out to eat, I usually only notice if the waitress or waiter is nice to me and my party. I make sure that all of the food and drinks come out the way we ordered them, and I also pay attention to how the food tastes. When I started my research and observation for this ethnography, I started to pay more attention the server when I was eating at restaurants. I started to notice how many tables the server waited on, I noticed how many times he or she had to take food back to the kitchen because someone thought it was wrong or not cooked right, and I also noticed how unhappy he or she was when they left a certain table. I have also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
