Monsters, Inc. is an American animated movie produced by Pixar Animation Studio. The movie is
about the work place in which two best friends, Mike and Sullivan, work at. This company is called
Monsters, Incorporated and it specializes in the supplement of energy needed for the town in which
they live called Monstropolis. Monstropolis is a city of monsters with no humans and Monsters
Incorporated is the largest scare factory in the monster world. Sullivan is one of the scares in the
company that they work for. He has to enter children s bedroom and scare them to collect their
screams, they do so by using the closet doors as portals. This is considered the best and most
dangerous job because the monsters believe that touching a human is lethal. Mike is Sullivan s
humorous assistant, roommate and best friend. The only problem the monsters are facing is that the

Role Of Gladiatorial Sports In Roman Times
Matthew Melnychuk 4/28/16
Latin Ms.Cella Period 3
Sports During The Roman Time Period During the Roman Times from (31 BCE to 476 CE) sports
were both things that many did in their daily life and as well as Roman Fighting games. Not all
Roman games were violent and played by men. Many Roman kids would swim, ride horses, hunt and
fish, play board games during their leisure time. Sports were very important to the Romans because
some had a religious meaning to them. Gladiatorial games in Ancient Rome and modern sports have
more in common than some would think. Violence has been a key component to the success of each of
these games. Many spectators watched as the Coliseum was filled with blood from brutal gladiatorial
matches. These days, hundreds of people watch two men fight in a boxing ring. After thinking about
gladiatorial games and looking at modern sports see similarities between the two. The Romans
believed that they inherited the practice of gladiatorial games from the Etruscans who used them as
part of a funeral ritual. The first gladiatorial games were offered in Rome in 264 BCE by sons of
Junius Brutus Pera in their father s honor. Even though this ritual began as a ceremony to honor
important men after their death, it began ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

they would wrap their hands in cloth because they didn t have boxing gloves like we have today.
Swimming was also a sport that men did. Swimming would mostly occur in a river or stream. Mostly
men and boys were taught how to swim. Horseback Riding was something that was taught to young
boys because it was something they should always know. Hunting and Fishing was also something
that Men and boys mostly did. Many men taught their boys to hunt and fish so they would know when

Disadvantages Of Web-Based Learning
Web based learning leads to the change in roles of teachers and students in learning processes. This is
due to the fact that web based learning applies the concept of learner centered approach in learning. To
compare, in traditional ways of teaching and learning, teachers played a big role, which was as the
giver or provider of knowledge (Web based Learning: Good or Bad?). Students during that time
depended solely on teachers to give information about the topics covered in every subject that they
were learning. It is understandable because technology during that time was not as advanced as the
technology that we have nowadays. Therefore, another way of students to gain additional information
about a particular subject was by going to libraries. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As stated in the article of Orientation to Web based Learning , unlike in traditional way in learning
which assesses students achievement through oral and written examinations, web based learning
introduces more innovative approach, such as through forums, online quizzes and e portfolio (Web
based Learning: Good or Bad?). This new assessment approach does not only encourage students be
more creative, for example in conducting a forum, but also helps them to improve their soft skills,
especially communication skills and computer skills. This will then lead to the change in role of
teachers as those new assessment approach stated earlier would be able to overcome the issue of
examination oriented teaching , which only strives for students academic excellence in examination.
Teachers can now focus on helping students to pass their examinations with flying colors, as well as
polish their soft skills, such as leadership and cooperative skills, in order to produce well balanced
students academically and socially. Hence, it can be concluded that application of web based learning
has led to change in the role of teachers and students in learning processes.
Web based learning is an innovative approach which brings various advantages to teaching and
learning processes. There are a lot of advantages, or prospects of implementing web based learning in
educational institutions, but the most significant ones are the flexibility, and accessibility and equal
opportunity for

Michael Solifornia Drought Research Paper
For at least the past four years, California has been in a drought. Since it has been so long of a
drought, officials are finally starting to encourage people to diminish their usage of water. When the
encouragements are not working, they use force and statewide restrictions are put into place. In an
article titled ¨The Wrong Way to Think about California Water¨ by Michael Hiltzik, the author rants on
Californians for the amount of water that they use daily, yearly, and constantly. However, the
argument only supports one side. Nowhere did they mention how much water Californians have
already cut back when told to reduce how much water they use. The paragraph only criticizes what we
are doing now, other than coming up with reasonable ideas

Evolution Of Prokaryotes
Evolution, the process by which populations have changed and modified over generations, is the key
to explaining the phenomenon that allowed single celled prokaryotes to be the ancestors to all life on
earth. The first life on earth was believed to be prokaryotic cells, which lacked a nucleus to encase
their DNA, while animals are multicellular, heterotrophic, eukaryotes, whose DNA and other
organelles are encased. Somehow, the populations of prokaryotes on the early earth became more
complex organisms such as animals over the generations, through evolution. To begin to comprehend
this process, one must first look at how cells evolved from prokaryotes into the eukaryotes that make
up the animal body.
Prokaryotes originated over 3.5 billion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is no denying that the influence of mutation, natural selection, migration, drift, and outside
forces have shaped the drastically diverse group of animals that are around in the present. Wherever
there is diversity within populations, nature works on these variations, favoring organisms with the
best adaptations, and if the evolution of humans has anything to say, those with the most complex
structure. The separation of populations has led to even more diversity, creating new species by
isolating groups from each other, and so forth. A brief summary of how they ve evolved, animals came
from a protist ancestor, who evolved over time into two groups, those with tissues, and those with no
true tissues, parazoa (sponges). Animals with tissue can be divided further between those who evolved
with radial symmetry and are less active (radiata) compared to those who evolved with bilateral
symmetry, who are more physically active (bilateria). The bilateria can be divided between animals
with body cavities and those that lack them (acoelomates) and those whose body cavities aren t
completely lined (psuedo coelomates). Some of the bilateria have segmented body parts, and all of
them are either protostomes (whose first opening is the mouth) or deuterostomes (whose first opening
is the anus). As animals evolve, they arguably become more complex and have a tendency toward
bilateral symmetry, active searching for food, and cephalization, where the bulk of their nervous tissue
is centered at the front or head, and an overall evolution toward intelligence. To explain animal
evolution completely would be a difficult task, but understanding general patterns and how life got
from single celled prokaryotes to multicellular, complex organisms is a good way to begin the

The Cockatoucan And Coming Of-Age Matence
[If] you make me the Princess s governess, I ll see what I can do... (177) the little girl asks the
hopeless King. In The Cockatoucan, or Great Aunt Willoughby by E. Nesbit, compiled in Neil Gaiman
s Unnatural Creatures, the narrator draws attention to gender and age inequality. Overcoming various
obstacles, the protagonist demonstrates her maturity throughout the journey, where she chooses to
make decisions for the sake of the kingdom of Green Land. Saving the kingdom from the unnatural
creature, the girl s actions and maturity serve as a platform in addressing today s public affairs. In the
light of these social issues, I will argue that Nesbit imposes on the themes of Voyage and Return and
Coming of Age to show how a young girl can mature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although Matilda is portrayed as a female child heroine, Colin Manlove implies that Nesbit suggests
that the capabilities of female children are underestimated in his journal article entitled Fantasy as
Witty Conceit: E. Nesbit. In this journal article, Manlove critiques that there are two sides of Nesbit
the realist and the supernaturalist ...where magic is given a colloquial and comic face, and is brought
into contact with very human children (126). This implies that the direct audience are those oppressed
by society s double standards, especially female children, and the indirect audience are those who
ridicule the capabilities of the oppressed. The story draws attention to social issues ( realist ) by
assimilating fantasy fiction ( supernaturalist ). In this case, both children and women are belittled due
to their age and gender, respectively. Since gender bias is an issue, professors, who published the
journal article Gender Differences in Children s Hero Attributions: Personal Hero Choices and
Evaluations of Typical Male and Female Heroes, observe that boys were expected to endorse heroes
for their ability to act on the world (instrumental attributes) and for their wealth or fame (prestige)
more than girls (Holub, et al. 569). This alludes that the gender gap does not only apply to adults, but
also children. Through their

Children Living Apart from Families in Totalitarian Societies
In many real life and fictionalized totalitarian societies, children live apart from their families. Why
would dictatorial leaders enforce this living arrangement? In the book Anthem, the children are living
in a totalitarian society. This society is usually run by a dictator and there is very little or no freedom.
In totalitarianism, the government or in this case the councils control almost every aspect of life. There
is no free speech or freedom of the press; certain religions or ideas may be banned. We are one in all
and all in one. There are no men but only the great WE, One, indivisible and forever. This plays a
great part in the book because we is what the people refer to as themselves. Everyone is equal to each
other and there is no I . The councils in Anthem believe that no brother should ever rise above one
another. No brother should outsmart the other.
Knowledge is a powerful thing. In totalitarian societies children are taken away from their parents at
very young ages, so they learn all the same things. All of the student s knowledge is kept at the same
level. All the children know is only what the government teaches them. It was not that the learning
was too hard for us. It was that the learning was too easy. It is not good to be different from our
brothers, but is evil to be superior to them. This evidence from the book Anthem shows us that it is not
a good thing to be smarter than the other student s. It is a sin. Dictators who want to restrain

The Sixth Amendment And The Sixth Amendment
Introduction Literature Review
Questions concerning pretrial exposure center on the tension between two guaranteed rights in the
United States, the First Amendment and the Sixth Amendment to the Constitution. The First
Amendment allows the press to print, while the Sixth Amendment promises a speedy and public trial,
that an unbiased and impartial panel directs. When the press exposes a current investigation, including
prior convictions, or admissions, a panel, or select representatives on a panel, would be exposed. In
Ruva Guenther s (2017) experiment, researchers examined how a panel s memories, evidence
interpretations, perceptions and guilt decisions varied when pretrial exposure was present. It was
determined that representatives on a panel who were exposed would pass their bias onto other
representatives not exposed prior. Given the strong constitutional protections that the press possesses,
courts need to manage chances where pretrial exposure is present.
Purpose Research Question
In dismissing representatives on a panel, we assume that pretrial exposure determines their conscious
decisions. With that being said, we expect a representative on a panel to know that pretrial exposure
could determine their decisions, and to know how to isolate this in deliberation. Dating back to Nisbett
and Wilson s experiment in the 1970 s, decisions were determined in the unconscious, but what
determined these decisions or biases, even when biases in decisions were mentioned, was unsure,
(Newell Shanks, 2014). In other words, one knows that biases could determine decisions, but not
theirs. This so called bias blind spot is common in deliberation. The ultimate question is, what is there
to do concerning pretrial exposure while selecting an unbiased and impartial panel?
Proposition
Voir dire is intended to determine whether representatives on a panel were exposed to pretrial
exposure. Dismissing representatives on a panel who were exposed to pretrial bias is unrealistic. To
combat issues concerning pretrial exposure, as well as bias, counsel will de bias mock representatives,
as a means to de bias perceptions and decisions, as a solution. De biasing will result in more reasoned
and less automatic decisions. With

How Does Linda Lark Present The Native American Values In...
Values are the foundation of an individual s or group s culture outlining what is good or bad and
desirable or undesirable. Behavior and attitude are significantly impacted by values. However, some
individuals are torn between two cultures. In The Round House written by Louise Erdrich, Linda Lark
is torn between a traditional American Indian culture and a European/Western culture. She depicts the
Native American values of humility and giving, but the European/Western value of aggression.
In The Round House, Linda Lark values the Native American value of humility. Humility is defined as
a modest or low view of one s own importance; humbleness. When Linda Lark meets her biological

Joe tells Linda he hide a rifle under her porch, and he asks if she could hide it and get it off the
reservation for him. Rather than getting upset or making him do it, Linda grins at him and tells him
she has already taken care of it. She took off of work to meet up with her brother Cedric who helped
disassemble the rifle. The two of them threw a couple pieces in the Missouri [...] and ditched the rest
of it in sloughs (Erdrich 301). Linda could have made Joe carry out the unlawful act, but she gives her
time to take care of it.
Linda does not only portray Native American values, but also European/Western values. In The Round
House Linda Lark values the European/Western value of aggression, which is a hostile or violent
behavior or attitudes toward another. Linda displays a hostile attitude as a young girl when a welfare
officer takes her away from the Wishkobs to a more suitable home. She opened [her] mouth, that is all,
and that [she] did not shut it until [she] was back with Mom, Betty Wishkob (Erdrich 116). This same
hostile behavior is also displayed years later, when she is an adult. Linda is suffering and throwing up
because her birth mother, Grace Lark, lied to her. When Linda feels Grace touch her for the first time
she is bothered. She [pushes] her away, repelled with hate like an animal sprung from a trap (Erdrich

Summary Of A Passage To India And A Passage To India
Despite having drastically different perspectives, E.M. Forster and Mulk Raj Anand display a common
disdain for British imperialism and racism while sharing in a struggle to fully capture the complexities
of the British Raj while still spreading their intended message in their novels, A Passage to India and
Untouchable.
Untouchable and A Passage to India were not written solely for entertainment. The authors shared
purpose for writing the stories is more important than the stories themselves. Forster was largely
involved in the politics of imperialism, having worked with the International Red Cross in Alexandria
for four years and written a pamphlet that condemned the colonization of Egypt by Britain (Meyers
238). Later in life he would write only essays, criticisms, biographies, and broadcasts with the
intention of sharing his liberal views (Parry 253). He was clearly motivated intensely by his political
views. When referring to his novel, Forster said, The political side of it was an aspect I wanted to
express... It had some political influence it caused people to think of the link between India and
Britain and to doubt if that link was altogether of a healthy nature (Meyers 238). Anand was just as
passionate in his desire to share his political opinions. In the words of R.K. Dhawan, Untouchable has
no story interest; it is just an impassioned plea for social cause (102). In writing Untouchable, Anand s
goal to shine light upon the trials of the Indian far surpasses the significance enjoying the plot on its
own. Each story is carefully crafted to influence the reader s opinion on imperialism, and efforts to
amuse the reader can be traced back to the authors desire to share their political viewpoints. These
shared convictions come from writers who viewed the British Raj from opposite sides, Anand as an
Indian, and Forster as a British man. Anand was a resident of Punjab, a hub for Indian rebellion, and a
massacre where hundreds of Indains were killed took place in his hometown (Harrex 36). He
experienced the trauma of the Indian people personally. For him, colonialism is something he has
endured. He was also arrested and beaten brutally by the police, having been left with dark marks on
his back

The Slavery Of The Cotton Gin By Eli Whitney
1. Many Americans had expected the practice of slavery to die. Americans were given this impression
in relation to decreasing tobacco production due to lack of fertile soil (Foner, 317). However,
Americans would be presented with factors that would lead to an expansion in slavery. The expansion
of slavery deteriorated already terrible conditions for slaves; slave families would be separated and
many female slaves faced imminent forced reproduction with studs or white males. In the 1790 s the
invention of the cotton gin by Eli Whitney sparked an increase in cotton production in the South. The
cotton gin decreased the labor time it took to pick seeds from the cotton. Slave owners moved or sold
their slaves to deep Southern states ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
American slave holders answered by creating more hardships and suffrage on slaves. While the
Northern states experienced a greater impact due to the market revolution the market revolution also
impacted slavery expansion. The introduction of new transportation and steam power decreased the
time it took to ship goods and improved canal production. As well, goods could now travel up stream.
The number of large cities near rivers and lakes increased and economics boomed throughout the
country. Due to the market revolution New England experienced an industrial revolution. Work in
factories created mass produced items that were previously made at home or bought locally. This
changed the American family structure, women were now working in mills. Farmer s daughters
worked in the textile mills and boarded nearby. Their leisure time was spent in church or school.
Families now had multiple sources of income, incomes would be impacted by the arrival of German
and Irish immigrants. Irish immigrants settled in New England and were willing to work unskilled job
for low wages, while Germans settled around the North and sought skilled jobs for lower wages. The
industrial revolution further alienated the North and South. Southern states did not have the resources
to benefit from the revolution. In 1819 Missouri requested through congress to submit a state
constitution in order to join the Union. Northern politicians

The Wretched Of The Earth, By Joseph Fanon
In Fanonian philosophy, decolonization is the rational reaction of colonization. So, those who would
classify de colonizers and their rhetoric nativists and nativism, should refer to the supporting quote
from Fanon s The Wretched of the Earth: The argument the native chooses has been furnished by the

goal of total liberation should startle no one, least of all colonialists, capitalists, and those identified

Women Should Be Allowed In The Military Draft
Should women be allowed in all areas in the military? Making a draft for women will destroy families,
cost more money for the military, and women have a big disadvantage against men. If there is a draft
for women it will only make things harder on everyone. If women want to serve, go find another job;
and there is no reason why they should be forced to. Because of these reasons there should not be a
draft for women. There has already been 2 females that have completed the marine corps. Females

statement brought me to think about one of my favorite quotes. A man said to the universe: Sir, I exist!
However, replied the universe. The fact has not created in me, A sense of obligation. Stephen Crane.
The world owes me nothing. The first time I read this quote it was a slap in the face. This story
slapped me in the face for a second time. I realized I have gone most of my feeling entitled to many
major and even minor things. I live life as though I have done much to deserve things handed to me on
a golden platter rather than through hard work. While so caught up in my own world I may have
missed out on the outside. While thinking about my misfortune, I never thought once about the
moments that passed and people I have gone by. The earth keeps turning without me giving it a reward
so then why do expect one from it. The moon laughs at a joke told by Venus about Mars, and I in my
lowly human state walk on in awe of the universe. Life goes on but it is too much of a treasure to

What will be discussed about Nigeria is how they achieved their development, how they are now
currently the African continent s top economy. The discussion that will be in this essay is the theories
used after Independence in Nigeria to obtain development. Nigeria is also known for the country s
population growth; population growth has its advantage which has a positive impact on the country s
economic growth as it causes demand for products and also leads to an upsurge in human a country
which is why Nigeria today is leading with their economic growth. Nigeria is a country endowed with
human, agricultural, petroleum, gas and large untapped mineral resources Nigeria was once a
colonialized country, they managed to obtain their Independence. According to (Babs,1977) Nigeria is
mostly likely referred as the Giant of Africa because of its population, the country is also culturally
diverse and has a large economic growth in Africa. Nigeria has relatively advanced power, road, rail
and ICT networks that cover the national territory quite extensively, Nigeria has a good progress in
their infrastructure and sanitation

The And The Cold Metal Catwalk
Layla let out a sharp screech as she landed beak first on the cold metal catwalk. Looking up from her
embarrassing position, she saw her brother glaring down at her trying hold back a laugh.
You missed me again! said Kaar. He couldn t restrain himself any longer and spread his colorful wings
as wide as they could go. The shrill cackling sound that followed echoed throughout the large corridor
the catwalk was suspended in and annoyed Layla to no end.
Are you done yet? she asked. Layla was back on her feet now and a single talon was tapping on the
catwalk, a sure sign that her patience was running thin. She couldn t help it, He drove her nuts. But

First one back gets seconds! And with that, Kaar scurried down the catwalk towards the front of their
home, spreading his wings, jumping, and finally flying low and fast. He would beat her there, he
always did.
Layla scampered at a hurried pace after her brother, thinking about the world, like always.
Later that night as the lights all across their home dimmed, signifying night, Layla and Kaar hopped
up onto their roosts to get some rest. They roosted next to each other, as they had done as far back as
Layla could remember, and supposedly since they were even hatchlings.
It s always the same thing. Every day. Wake up, eat, study, play, eat, sleep.
It had not even been five minutes and Kaar was already asleep at this point. His beak was wide open
and his wings were slacked. Layla quickly pecked him in the side to get his attention. The resulting
jolt, accompanied by a shrill squawk, rocked the roost violently and Layla nearly fell off from the
shaking of the support below her.
What do you want!? I was sleeping.
I had no idea she gave him a sarcastic thousand yard stare. Doofus. I want to talk.
Can t it wait till the morning? His wings were already starting to relax at his sides again.
Please? It s been bugging me for a while.
Alright He blinked a few times, and sat up straight, trying to stay awake. What is it?

Research Paper On Hubble Telescope
The Hubble Telescope
What is one of the most amazing astronomy inventions, that has changed the way we look at space
forever? This invention is the Hubble space telescope. The telescope was launched into space in 1990
and has found many amazing discoveries. If the hubble wasn t created astronomers would not have
near as good of understanding of astronomical bodies like Dark energy, we wouldn t have found what
is believed to be the most distant object ever seen in the universe with a distance of 13.2 billion light
years away, and we would not have a good . There is no doubt the hubble telescope is a very
incredible invention and has been very helpful to the astronomy, and will continue to be a huge
resource to discoveries of the universe. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The telescope is very massive it is actually the size of a school bus and weighs about as much as much
as 2 grown elephants. The telescope orbits the Earth about 340 miles above. The telescope can travel at
about 5 miles per second, this is very cool because that would mean the telescope travels at 18,000
miles per hour. The telescope was supposed to be launched into outer space in the year 1985, but the
space shuttle challenger exploded and the launch was postponed while Nasa tried to figure out how to
safely resume the launch. In the year 1990 the telescope was launched. The telescope uses digital
cameras to get pictures and information and send them through radio waves. The parts of this
incredible telescope include, a wide field camera which is a camera that has higher resolution or
ability to distinguish details and a larger field of view or area. (http://hubblesite.org/) The cosmic

Background Information:
Benzley and Wan Ting both aged 18 met one another in school. They started out as friends and
gradually got together as a couple. This shows that long interaction with one another can lead to the
formation of relationships. New York social psychologist, Dr. Grace Cornish avers that romances that
begin as friendships are more likely to succeed: As friends first, you like each other first. You develop
a respect for each other. You re looking out for each other s best interests. I urge people marry your
best friend.
Triangular Theory of Love
When asked if they share things openly with one another. Both of them agreed that they do share
things openly with one another, be it about happenings in school, or problems faced in school or
friends. This shows that they do not mind being close to one another, and are willing to take a step
further to understand one another. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wan Ting was the one who usually started it. One of the conflicts was that Benzley could not handle
her emotions well, not able to take care and support her in times of need. This shows that guys has less
emotional capability as compared to girls. They got less empathy, and not able to put themselves in the
other party s shoes. Logical thinking vs emotional thinking: Men in general can take decisions without
being emotionally affected that much while women in general take into consideration other factors
that are related to emotions that most men overlook. research has showed that, in general, women are
more sociallemotional in their interactions with others, whereas men are more independent and

to continue my studies and to get my masters in the field of Molecular Biology so I can perform
researches and try to find a new treatment for this disease. since my financial abilities is not well

Effects of Genetic Discrimination
The new advancements in genetics spark a new revolution in medicine. Genetic information not only
can help us better understand the diseases that plague us, but can also prevent diseases that could
potentially be harmful to us. However America s history of discrimination has taken over this new
revolution also. Despite our revolutionized and civilized culture, America still suffers the cruel grip of
evil that lies behind many legal documents and contracts. Genetic Discrimination is when people are
treated differently by their employer or insurance company because they have or are perceived to have
a gene mutation that causes or increases the risk of an inherited disorder. Although insurance
companies and many employers are looking out for their companies genetically discriminating against
clients or employees promotes the public s weariness about the revolutionized genetic tests and also
discourages further medical research.
Although science of genetics still has to be improved to able to accurately predict genetic conditions,
the information it provides can be a good indicator of future illnesses. This helps psychologically
prepare and receive genetic counseling (Amy) and prepare for any surgery that may be required to
prevent the disease. This new invention has opened up amazing possibilities and should be used in
order to better our health. The small group of people who aren t afraid of the possible consequences

Introduction Nurses serve an important role in emergency preparedness on all levels through planning,
community and consumer education, and direct care provided to those in need when disaster strikes.
Association of Women s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) focuses on the specific

The researchers used a questionnaire based on the Health Belief Model (HBM) which was developed
to assess individual s perception of susceptibility to illness, severity of illness, costs and benefits of
action, and cues to action. Data was collected from 177 New Jersey nurses, attending an emergency
care conference, using a 56 question survey. The results were analyzed and compiled into 5 different
tables in regards to the susceptibility, role, knowledge and experience of nursing in disaster
preparedness and response. A strength of the study was that 79% of the nurses who completed the
survey were special certified and 70.5% of the respondents have more than 10 years of experience in
emergency nursing. This allowed for the researchers to gather information that was accurate and
actually pertained to the population. There were several limitations of the study including, the small
sample size and potential demographic bias. All of the nurses that completed the survey live and work

different attitudes towards disaster response than do nurses from other parts of the United States

Hydroelectric Dams and Floods Essay
Hydroelectric dams are essential to preventing floods. Many of these dams are located in places that
are bordered by water such as Mississippi and Ohio. Most dams are created to control river flow,
improve navigation, and regulate flooding. However, some dams are built to produce hydroelectric
power which is the case here (Smith).
How does hydroelectric dams work? There s a power source that is used to turn a piece called turbine
then turns a metal shaft to an electric generator, and that creates electricity. (Perlman) The mechanical
energy converts to electricity so the water flows through the dams. It could also work without dams,
which is a process known as diversion/ run of the river. Meaning, some of the portions of the water

(Walker).
In 1882, the first use of moving water to produce electricity was a waterwheel on the Fox river in
Wisconsin. (Geoffrey). In 1886, there were about forty five water powered electric plants in the
United States and Canada. Hydropower continuted to play a huge role in the electrical service. A long
time ago hydroelectric power plants were so much more efficient and reliable. Over the years the
environmental like hydro projects are being identified for concern. It s becoming a problem to build
new dams because of opposition from environmentalists and people living on the land that s flooded.
(Geoffrey). In 2003, ten percent of the United States electricity comes from hydropower. There s about
eighty thousand MW of comventional capacity and eighteen thousand MV of pumped storage.
Some environmental impacts the hydroelectric power plant may give off qualities of the greenhouse
gases equal to other sources of energy. The most obvious impact of hydroelectric dams is the flooding
of vast areas of lands previously forested or used in agriculture (Geoffrey). Damming a river could
cause the quality and amount of water in the river to downstream. That causes the fishes to stop
migrating upstream to spawn. You can reduce these impacts by requiring little flows downstream of a
dam. You could also build fish ladders, that allows the fishes to move upstream. A slit is normally
carried downstream to the lower ground of the

The Loss Of Faith And The Decline Of Church Attendance
Secularization the loss of faith and the decline in church attendance is something that has left
historians asking why this occurred and at what point in history did the people of Great Britain lose
their faith, add in the sexual revolution of the swinging sixties the development of the oral
contraception pill and immigration to Great Britain, which brought together people from other
colonies and with them they brought their religion, the connection between any of these factors if
there is one has and will be debated for years to come. Historian Callum Brown has used several other
historians, teachers and authors work to compile a paper on the above topic titled Sex, Religion and

Mr Brown puts the date at 1963 and believes that, the 1960s saw the British people going to church
less and less, whilst other religious denominations thrived, the Christian benchmark of moral such as
attending church and Sunday school, baptizing children, marrying in church has all but disappeared.
The decline is attributed to the decentring of rigid moral codes such as increased sexual freedom and
freedom for diverse sexualities, greater gender equality and a new tolerance of religious and ethnic
difference .
Whilst Brown believes that sex and the lack of religion are interlinked there are others that show that
the origins of sex and religion and the moral views people held go back before the 1960s, with the
history of sex going back centuries with the historian Faramerz Dabhoiwala writing, on the banks of
the Thames in 1612 the towns court house is in session dealing with a routine criminal case that of an
unmarried man and woman, who have been arrested and brought before the court, interrogated, put on
trial and found guilty by a jury of men , their crime was having sexual relations. For sex was illegal
outside of marriage and was seen by the church along with ordinary people as something that was
punishable unless the couple was married, as illicit relations were angered God, prevented salvation,
damaged personal relations and undermined social order .

Why Is Apollo 13 Wrong

went wrong. The three men, Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert, and Fred Haise trained as any other astronaut
would, but what happened was unpredictable. The three men had just finished a broadcast to the
citizens back home without many people joined watching. It was 56 hours into the mission where a

They could see the symptoms easily enough lack of power, lack of oxygen but had no clue about the
underlying disease that had befallen their ship (Bizony). Unfortunately the men only had a small
triangular window to look out onto the ship. When one of the astronauts finally saw a large clue
Lovell called in that he had seen a gas blowing into space. The substance coming out happened to be
from the cryogenic tank explosion, but how did it happen? Not long after the Apollo 13 accident, they
put months of investigation in and just happened to find out where the mistake was made. Back in
1968while the oxygen tanks were being manufactured one of them happened to be dropped, but the
tank still passed it s quality checks and was sent out. Meanwhile, three weeks before Apollo 13 there
was a test run on the cryogenic tanks and how they can carry their load. Every tank gets pre flight
testing but when this particular tank was tested it seemed to show it had a damaged fill line. Meaning
it would not empty the contents as desired. When the tank was getting pre flight tests the tanks were
emptied by forcing oxygen gas into the tank and the liquid oxygen was forced out, but while in space
the tanks did not need to be emptied. Heaters were located in the tank in order to heat the inside of it
to keep the oxygen flowing and this would only be used for short periods of time. The plan was to use
these heaters to essentially boil off any excess oxygen, this would then need 8 hour of 65 volt DC
power. The thermostatically controlled switches on the heater were only made for 28 volt DC power
so this led people to believe they were damaged from that mistake. This would then cause the switches
to weld shut meaning the temperature would rise over 1000 degrees F inside the tank.

Canterbury Tales Literary Analysis
Throughout the semester in class, we read a lot of short stories, and poems. One of the stories that
stuck out to me the most to me, is The Canterbury Tales written by Geoffrey Chaucer. This tale is
based on the millers, which is the topic of my paper. When it comes to the millers, there is a lot to
know such as who they are, what they do, how the mills worked, their role in the Feudal system, how
they make a living, what they ate, where they lived, what kind of clothing they wore, how the millers
are able to assure they can continue to make enough money to live on, and so much more. To start
with, a miller is someone who worked in a mill, especially a grain mill ( Medieval Miller ). A miller
would work on a lord s estate and rented the mill from a lord for periods of a year at a time. A miller
lived above their mills or in cottages very close to their mills, so they could wake up and go straight to
work. Millers wore Roman style tunics made of wool and they wore leather shoes. Sometimes the
millers also wore a leather apron and cap, that was on rare occasion. Millers had a special food diet, in
which they ate similar to a serf, eating pottage, soup, bread, ale and sometimes pork. miller s had
better bread because they had better access to better grains. Unfortunately, millers did not get paid that
well as they only got one twelfth or one sixteenth of grains that they grew and ground up. Some
millers stole their pay before they got paid so they received double the pay.

Symbolism In Battle Royal
The short story, Battle Royal by Ralph Ellison, a blindfold is used as one of the major symbols of the
story. The blindfold symbolizes the narrator s inability to see the battle he is truly up against. The
African American narrator of the short story is invited to give a speech at a gathering of some of the

arrives he is subjected to doing horrifying things. One of which is having to blindly and brutally fight
some of his black schoolmates all of whom are also blindfolded. While the narrator is in the ring
taking hard hits, his thoughts return speech. He is so focused on delivering a speech of quality that
will win over the white audience. The narrator states, The harder we fought the more threatening the
men became. And yet, I had begun to worry about my speech again. How would it go? Would they

Role Of Gladiatorial Sports In Roman Times Matthew Melnychuk 4/28/16 Latin Ms.Cella Period 3 Sports During The Roman Time Period During the Roman Times from (31 BCE to 476 CE) sports were both things that many did in their daily life and as well as Roman Fighting games. Not all Roman games were violent and played by men. Many Roman kids would swim, ride horses, hunt and fish, play board games during their leisure time. These days, hundreds of people watch two men fight in a boxing ring. After thinking about gladiatorial games and looking at modern sports see similarities between the two. This is due to the fact that web based learning applies the concept of learner centered approach in learning. To compare, in traditional ways of teaching and learning, teachers played a big role, which was as the giver or provider of knowledge (Web based Learning: Good or Bad?). Students during that time depended solely on teachers to give information about the topics covered in every subject that they were learning. When the encouragements are not working, they use force and statewide restrictions are put into place. In an article titled ¨The Wrong Way to Think about California Water¨ by Michael Hiltzik, the author rants on Californians for the amount of water that they use daily, yearly, and constantly. However, the argument only supports one side. Nowhere did they mention how much water Californians have already cut back when told to reduce how much water they use. • 6. Evolution Of Prokaryotes Evolution, the process by which populations have changed and modified over generations, is the key to explaining the phenomenon that allowed single celled prokaryotes to be the ancestors to all life on earth. The first life on earth was believed to be prokaryotic cells, which lacked a nucleus to encase their DNA, while animals are multicellular, heterotrophic, eukaryotes, whose DNA and other organelles are encased. Somehow, the populations of prokaryotes on the early earth became more complex organisms such as animals over the generations, through evolution. To begin to comprehend this process, one must first look at how cells evolved from prokaryotes into the eukaryotes that make up the animal body. Prokaryotes originated over 3.5 billion ... Wherever there is diversity within populations, nature works on these variations, favoring organisms with the best adaptations, and if the evolution of humans has anything to say, those with the most complex structure. The separation of populations has led to even more diversity, creating new species by isolating groups from each other, and so forth. A brief summary of how they ve evolved, animals came from a protist ancestor, who evolved over time into two groups, those with tissues, and those with no true tissues, parazoa (sponges). Animals with tissue can be divided further between those who evolved with radial symmetry and are less active (radiata) compared to those who evolved with bilateral symmetry, who are more physically active (bilateria). The bilateria can be divided between animals with body cavities and those that lack them (acoelomates) and those whose body cavities aren t completely lined (psuedo coelomates). Some of the bilateria have segmented body parts, and all of them are either protostomes (whose first opening is the mouth) or deuterostomes (whose first opening is the anus). As animals evolve, they arguably become more complex and have a tendency toward bilateral symmetry, active searching for food, and cephalization, where the bulk of their nervous tissue is centered at the front or head, and an overall evolution toward intelligence. To explain animal evolution completely would be a difficult task, but understanding general patterns and how life got from single celled prokaryotes to multicellular, complex organisms is a good way to begin the ... In The Cockatoucan, or Great Aunt Willoughby by E. Nesbit, compiled in Neil Gaiman s Unnatural Creatures, the narrator draws attention to gender and age inequality. Overcoming various obstacles, the protagonist demonstrates her maturity throughout the journey, where she chooses to make decisions for the sake of the kingdom of Green Land. Saving the kingdom from the unnatural creature, the girl s actions and maturity serve as a platform in addressing today s public affairs. In the light of these social issues, I will argue that Nesbit imposes on the themes of Voyage and Return and Coming of Age to show how a young girl can mature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although Matilda is portrayed as a female child heroine, Colin Manlove implies that Nesbit suggests that the capabilities of female children are underestimated in his journal article entitled Fantasy as Witty Conceit: E. Nesbit. In this journal article, Manlove critiques that there are two sides of Nesbit the realist and the supernaturalist ...where magic is given a colloquial and comic face, and is brought into contact with very human children (126). This implies that the direct audience are those oppressed by society s double standards, especially female children, and the indirect audience are those who ridicule the capabilities of the oppressed. The story draws attention to social issues ( realist ) by assimilating fantasy fiction ( supernaturalist ). In this case, both children and women are belittled due to their age and gender, respectively. Since gender bias is an issue, professors, who published the journal article Gender Differences in Children s Hero Attributions: Personal Hero Choices and Evaluations of Typical Male and Female Heroes, observe that boys were expected to endorse heroes for their ability to act on the world (instrumental attributes) and for their wealth or fame (prestige) more than girls (Holub, et al. 569). • 8. Children Living Apart from Families in Totalitarian Societies In many real life and fictionalized totalitarian societies, children live apart from their families. Why would dictatorial leaders enforce this living arrangement? In the book Anthem, the children are living in a totalitarian society. This society is usually run by a dictator and there is very little or no freedom. In totalitarianism, the government or in this case the councils control almost every aspect of life. There is no free speech or freedom of the press; certain religions or ideas may be banned. We are one in all and all in one. There are no men but only the great WE, One, indivisible and forever. This plays a great part in the book because we is what the people refer to as themselves. Everyone is equal to each other and there is no I . The councils in Anthem believe that no brother should ever rise above one another. No brother should outsmart the other. Knowledge is a powerful thing. In totalitarian societies children are taken away from their parents at very young ages, so they learn all the same things. All of the student s knowledge is kept at the same level. All the children know is only what the government teaches them. It was not that the learning was too hard for us. It was that the learning was too easy. It is not good to be different from our brothers, but is evil to be superior to them. This evidence from the book Anthem shows us that it is not a good thing to be smarter than the other student s. It is a sin. Dictators who want to restrain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Sixth Amendment And The Sixth Amendment Introduction Literature Review Questions concerning pretrial exposure center on the tension between two guaranteed rights in the United States, the First Amendment and the Sixth Amendment to the Constitution. The First Amendment allows the press to print, while the Sixth Amendment promises a speedy and public trial, that an unbiased and impartial panel directs. When the press exposes a current investigation, including prior convictions, or admissions, a panel, or select representatives on a panel, would be exposed. In Ruva Guenther s (2017) experiment, researchers examined how a panel s memories, evidence interpretations, perceptions and guilt decisions varied when pretrial exposure was present. It was determined that representatives on a panel who were exposed would pass their bias onto other representatives not exposed prior. Given the strong constitutional protections that the press possesses, courts need to manage chances where pretrial exposure is present. Purpose Research Question In dismissing representatives on a panel, we assume that pretrial exposure determines their conscious decisions. With that being said, we expect a representative on a panel to know that pretrial exposure could determine their decisions, and to know how to isolate this in deliberation. Dating back to Nisbett and Wilson s experiment in the 1970 s, decisions were determined in the unconscious, but what determined these decisions or biases, even when biases in decisions were mentioned, was unsure, (Newell Shanks, 2014). In other words, one knows that biases could determine decisions, but not theirs. This so called bias blind spot is common in deliberation. The ultimate question is, what is there to do concerning pretrial exposure while selecting an unbiased and impartial panel? Proposition Voir dire is intended to determine whether representatives on a panel were exposed to pretrial exposure. Dismissing representatives on a panel who were exposed to pretrial bias is unrealistic. To combat issues concerning pretrial exposure, as well as bias, counsel will de bias mock representatives, as a means to de bias perceptions and decisions, as a solution. De biasing will result in more reasoned and less automatic decisions. With ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Summary Of A Passage To India And A Passage To India Despite having drastically different perspectives, E.M. Forster and Mulk Raj Anand display a common disdain for British imperialism and racism while sharing in a struggle to fully capture the complexities of the British Raj while still spreading their intended message in their novels, A Passage to India and Untouchable. Untouchable and A Passage to India were not written solely for entertainment. The authors shared purpose for writing the stories is more important than the stories themselves. Forster was largely involved in the politics of imperialism, having worked with the International Red Cross in Alexandria for four years and written a pamphlet that condemned the colonization of Egypt by Britain (Meyers 238). Later in life he would write only essays, criticisms, biographies, and broadcasts with the intention of sharing his liberal views (Parry 253). He was clearly motivated intensely by his political views. When referring to his novel, Forster said, The political side of it was an aspect I wanted to express... It had some political influence it caused people to think of the link between India and Britain and to doubt if that link was altogether of a healthy nature (Meyers 238). Anand was just as passionate in his desire to share his political opinions. In the words of R.K. Dhawan, Untouchable has no story interest; it is just an impassioned plea for social cause (102). In writing Untouchable, Anand s goal to shine light upon the trials of the Indian far surpasses the significance enjoying the plot on its own. Each story is carefully crafted to influence the reader s opinion on imperialism, and efforts to amuse the reader can be traced back to the authors desire to share their political viewpoints. These shared convictions come from writers who viewed the British Raj from opposite sides, Anand as an Indian, and Forster as a British man. Anand was a resident of Punjab, a hub for Indian rebellion, and a massacre where hundreds of Indains were killed took place in his hometown (Harrex 36). He experienced the trauma of the Indian people personally. For him, colonialism is something he has endured. The expansion of slavery deteriorated already terrible conditions for slaves; slave families would be separated and many female slaves faced imminent forced reproduction with studs or white males. I found a mechanism using gene therapy techniques by applying chemical modifications on the nucleotide which hopefully can be used in treatment, which was on my professors point of view is theoretically acceptable. I also presented it in Mansora university at one of the annual scientific conferences and I got the 8th position. But, unfortunately we have not the ability to work on it practically because gene therapy techniques are expensive and we have not such facilities and techniques. That s why I intended to continue my studies abroad in a country with better research abilities . This opportunity will definitely help me in my career pathway to have deeper studies in ... McCormick served in WWI, which had a great impact on his life that is shown through the grounds of Cantigny Park. He served as the editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune for forty four years, at which he made it a media giant by adding it to television stations and putting it on the radio. The mansion that the McCormick family occupied is a museum itself on the grounds, with its extravagance and countless artifacts. While the actual museum on the grounds takes the public back to the war, where it gives a better understanding of what the war was really like. The trip itself was very well put together, but could have had some improvements to make the learning experience even better. The Cantigny Park grounds is a memorable trip due to the better understanding one can have of WWI and the personal touches added by Robert R. McCormick himself. Robert R. McCormick served in the National Guard in 1915 and then in the First Infantry Division during WWI. • 26. Effects of Genetic Discrimination The new advancements in genetics spark a new revolution in medicine. Genetic information not only can help us better understand the diseases that plague us, but can also prevent diseases that could potentially be harmful to us. However America s history of discrimination has taken over this new revolution also. Despite our revolutionized and civilized culture, America still suffers the cruel grip of evil that lies behind many legal documents and contracts. Genetic Discrimination is when people are treated differently by their employer or insurance company because they have or are perceived to have a gene mutation that causes or increases the risk of an inherited disorder. Although insurance companies and many employers are looking out for their companies genetically discriminating against clients or employees promotes the public s weariness about the revolutionized genetic tests and also discourages further medical research. Although science of genetics still has to be improved to able to accurately predict genetic conditions, the information it provides can be a good indicator of future illnesses. This helps psychologically prepare and receive genetic counseling (Amy) and prepare for any surgery that may be required to prevent the disease. This new invention has opened up amazing possibilities and should be used in order to better our health. The Role Of Nurses And Health Care For Pregnant Women The Role of the Nurse in Emergency Preparedness Malorie Braley, Kayli Clay, Arianna Gutierrez and Margaret Ideler Sam Houston State University The Role of the Nurse in Emergency Preparedness Introduction Nurses serve an important role in emergency preparedness on all levels through planning, community and consumer education, and direct care provided to those in need when disaster strikes. Association of Women s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) focuses on the specific population of mothers and their infants because of the special needs that this vulnerable population may need in an emergency. The researchers used a questionnaire based on the Health Belief Model (HBM) which was developed to assess individual s perception of susceptibility to illness, severity of illness, costs and benefits of action, and cues to action. Data was collected from 177 New Jersey nurses, attending an emergency care conference, using a 56 question survey. The results were analyzed and compiled into 5 different tables in regards to the susceptibility, role, knowledge and experience of nursing in disaster preparedness and response. A strength of the study was that 79% of the nurses who completed the survey were special certified and 70.5% of the respondents have more than 10 years of experience in emergency nursing. This allowed for the researchers to gather information that was accurate and actually pertained to the population. There were several limitations of the study including, the small sample size and potential demographic bias. All of the nurses that completed the survey live and work in the New York or New Jersey area and based on the 9/11 attacks the respondents might have different attitudes towards disaster response than do nurses from other parts of the United States (Whetzel et al., 2013). • 30. Hydroelectric Dams and Floods Essay Hydroelectric dams are essential to preventing floods. Many of these dams are located in places that are bordered by water such as Mississippi and Ohio. Most dams are created to control river flow, improve navigation, and regulate flooding. However, some dams are built to produce hydroelectric power which is the case here (Smith). How does hydroelectric dams work? There s a power source that is used to turn a piece called turbine then turns a metal shaft to an electric generator, and that creates electricity. (Perlman) The mechanical energy converts to electricity so the water flows through the dams. It could also work without dams, which is a process known as diversion/ run of the river. Meaning, some of the portions of the water from a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Walker). In 1882, the first use of moving water to produce electricity was a waterwheel on the Fox river in Wisconsin. (Geoffrey). In 1886, there were about forty five water powered electric plants in the United States and Canada. Hydropower continuted to play a huge role in the electrical service. A long time ago hydroelectric power plants were so much more efficient and reliable. Over the years the environmental like hydro projects are being identified for concern. It s becoming a problem to build new dams because of opposition from environmentalists and people living on the land that s flooded. (Geoffrey). In 2003, ten percent of the United States electricity comes from hydropower. There s about eighty thousand MW of comventional capacity and eighteen thousand MV of pumped storage. Some environmental impacts the hydroelectric power plant may give off qualities of the greenhouse gases equal to other sources of energy. The most obvious impact of hydroelectric dams is the flooding of vast areas of lands previously forested or used in agriculture (Geoffrey). Damming a river could cause the quality and amount of water in the river to downstream. That causes the fishes to stop migrating upstream to spawn. You can reduce these impacts by requiring little flows downstream of a dam. You could also build fish ladders, that allows the fishes to move upstream. A slit is normally carried downstream to the lower ground of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Loss Of Faith And The Decline Of Church Attendance Secularization the loss of faith and the decline in church attendance is something that has left historians asking why this occurred and at what point in history did the people of Great Britain lose their faith, add in the sexual revolution of the swinging sixties the development of the oral contraception pill and immigration to Great Britain, which brought together people from other colonies and with them they brought their religion, the connection between any of these factors if there is one has and will be debated for years to come. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mr Brown puts the date at 1963 and believes that, the 1960s saw the British people going to church less and less, whilst other religious denominations thrived, the Christian benchmark of moral such as attending church and Sunday school, baptizing children, marrying in church has all but disappeared. The decline is attributed to the decentring of rigid moral codes such as increased sexual freedom and freedom for diverse sexualities, greater gender equality and a new tolerance of religious and ethnic difference . Whilst Brown believes that sex and the lack of religion are interlinked there are others that show that the origins of sex and religion and the moral views people held go back before the 1960s, with the history of sex going back centuries with the historian Faramerz Dabhoiwala writing, on the banks of the Thames in 1612 the towns court house is in session dealing with a routine criminal case that of an unmarried man and woman, who have been arrested and brought before the court, interrogated, put on trial and found guilty by a jury of men , their crime was having sexual relations. Some spectators believe it was because one of the oxygen tank in the service module encountering a problem during testing, and it should not have been ignored. Only the third intended mission to the moon and it wouldn t quite make it. On April 13, 1970 two days after Apollo 13 lifted off something went wrong. The three men, Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert, and Fred Haise trained as any other astronaut would, but what happened was unpredictable. They could see the symptoms easily enough lack of power, lack of oxygen but had no clue about the underlying disease that had befallen their ship (Bizony). Unfortunately the men only had a small triangular window to look out onto the ship. When one of the astronauts finally saw a large clue Lovell called in that he had seen a gas blowing into space. The substance coming out happened to be from the cryogenic tank explosion, but how did it happen? Not long after the Apollo 13 accident, they put months of investigation in and just happened to find out where the mistake was made. Back in 1968while the oxygen tanks were being manufactured one of them happened to be dropped, but the tank still passed it s quality checks and was sent out. Meanwhile, three weeks before Apollo 13 there was a test run on the cryogenic tanks and how they can carry their load. Every tank gets pre flight testing but when this particular tank was tested it seemed to show it had a damaged fill line. Meaning it would not empty the contents as desired. When the tank was getting pre flight tests the tanks were emptied by forcing oxygen gas into the tank and the liquid oxygen was forced out, but while in space the tanks did not need to be emptied. Heaters were located in the tank in order to heat the inside of it to keep the oxygen flowing and this would only be used for short periods of time. The plan was to use these heaters to essentially boil off any excess oxygen, this would then need 8 hour of 65 volt DC power. The thermostatically controlled switches on the heater were only made for 28 volt DC power so this led people to believe they were damaged from that mistake. This would then cause the switches to weld shut meaning the temperature would rise over 1000 degrees F inside the tank. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Canterbury Tales Literary Analysis Throughout the semester in class, we read a lot of short stories, and poems. One of the stories that stuck out to me the most to me, is The Canterbury Tales written by Geoffrey Chaucer. This tale is based on the millers, which is the topic of my paper. When it comes to the millers, there is a lot to know such as who they are, what they do, how the mills worked, their role in the Feudal system, how they make a living, what they ate, where they lived, what kind of clothing they wore, how the millers are able to assure they can continue to make enough money to live on, and so much more. To start with, a miller is someone who worked in a mill, especially a grain mill ( Medieval Miller ). A miller would work on a lord s estate and rented the mill from a lord for periods of a year at a time. A miller lived above their mills or in cottages very close to their mills, so they could wake up and go straight to work. Millers wore Roman style tunics made of wool and they wore leather shoes. Sometimes the millers also wore a leather apron and cap, that was on rare occasion. Millers had a special food diet, in which they ate similar to a serf, eating pottage, soup, bread, ale and sometimes pork. miller s had better bread because they had better access to better grains. Unfortunately, millers did not get paid that well as they only got one twelfth or one sixteenth of grains that they grew and ground up. Some millers stole their pay before they got paid so they received double the pay. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While the narrator is in the ring taking hard hits, his thoughts return speech. He is so focused on delivering a speech of quality that will win over the white audience. The narrator states, The harder we fought the more threatening the men became. And yet, I had begun to worry about my speech again. How would it go? Would they recognize my ability?
