Formal Research vs Business Proposal Essay
Formal Research vs. Business Proposals
Comparing and contrasting any business proposal can be a little confusing when there is little to no
knowledge of what either of the proposal really stands for or mean. Every business has the opportunity
for change or to seek change. These business environments are potential projects that intermingled
with the start of a new product. Depending on the company or organization s focus, will determine
which proposal is best to provide a basic and statistical approach to researching similar to the general
products that are on the market. Initiating these researches will give specific product either a saturated

these proposal documents provide the basic structural components that provide background and
introduction for identifying the business s research. The main similarity is the focus and feasibility
that addresses the specific and detailed concerns that will determine whether the suggestions will be
successful or unsuccessful. Formal research and business proposals go hand in hand in the business
world. Business proposals seek a developmental goal that seeks to find new clients and projects while
responding to the formal requests proposals. To sum it up business s proposals suggest strategies while
formal research establishes facts in order to draft a proposal. Collection of information from managers

The Effects Of Globalization On Contemporary And...
Globalization is the interaction among people, companies and governments of different nations. It is a
process that is driven by international trade and investment but, is also supported by information
technology (What is Globalization?). Large corporations have taken advantage of foreign markets by
building factories in less developed countries and through using established marketing arrangements
with foreign partners. A defining feature of globalization, therefore, is an international, industrial and
financial business structure (What is Globalization?). In this essay, I am going to consider the effects
of globalization on contemporary, developing and indigenous cultures. This will include looking at
both the negative effects as well as the benefits of globalization on the world as a whole.
Globalization is profoundly controversial. Some people argue that this international change allows
poor countries and their citizens to develop economically and raise their standards of living. Others
claim that the creation of an international free market has only benefited multinational corporations in
the Western world at the expense of local enterprise and cultures and by the exploitation of less
developed countries (What is Globalization?).
Firstly, Globalization has had a large effect on contemporary culture. For example, technological
development is as a big part of globalization and has transformed many cultures from subsidence
farming to commercial farming, raising cash from

Effects of Prenatal Maternal Stress on Development
Although there are many factors that affect the development of the fetus, research on the specific
effects of prenatal maternal stress and the resulting negative outcomes for the development of the fetus
will be reviewed. While there is knowledge of these harmful effects in scientific and medical
communities, researchers are still in the midst of discovering the results of these negative effects on
human development. An overall review of the literature suggests that this topic is still relatively new
in research as most of the articles make note that despite the amount of current research studies, there
are still many unanswered questions.
Each second of fetal development during pregnancy is of extreme importance. This period of ... Show

Consequently, a large number of issues can and have arisen that have been caused by an increase in
Glucocorticoids during prenatal development.
Maternal stress also plays a role in the prenatal development affecting the length of gestation. Most
commonly, maternal prenatal stress affects birth outcomes including prenatal delivery. Emerging
research suggests that measures of pregnancy specific stress are better than measures of general
psychological distress for predicting developmental outcomes including preterm delivery (Davis
Sandman, 2010). Goals from the study in this article investigated maternal cortisol and stress and how
each affects cognitive and motor development. Women who reported having higher levels of stress
during the prenatal period reported a strong correlation with cognitive and motor development were
associated with a stronger correlation of cognitive and motor development in their children, and
reported higher levels of stress and anxiety earlier in pregnancy. However, one could question the
validity of this report because the information was self reported.
Another important part of this study was looking at how these effects occurred during different stages
of prenatal development, as the consequences of prenatal maternal stress were determined by the

Ethnography Research Papers
Our Ethnography Research is how student s religious views affect their political views from a
standpoint of three different religions. Since we live in a college town, we decided the appropriate
demographic should be a college student between the age of 18 and 21. I got to interview a close
friend of mine, Danny. Danny is a sophomore at Oregon State University and he describes himself as a
Seventh Day Adventist, which is a smaller branch of Christianity and as a Democrat. I got to ask him
many questions that one would not usually get asked, which made the interview fairly difficult, but I
got to meet an entirely new friend.
The first question is, What do you feel shapes your view on pro choice / pro life? His response was
pro life because of his religion. Danny believes that he is pro life because his parents raised him to
accept every blessing as a gift from God. Along with that he reckons that a parent that aborts their
child should receive a considerable punishment. If the parents do not want to keep the child they
should give it up for adoption instead of aborting a gift from God. As a Christian ... Show more

stronger gun control, we can prevent future shootings. I disagree with Danny and agree with his

The Stoop Effect of Interference
The Stroop Effect Since birth, we are taught that certain words are connected with certain ideas. For
example, the word R E D is associated with the color of the wavelength of light from approximately
620 740 nm on the electromagnetic spectrum (Bohren (2006)) or in simpler terms, the color of stop
signs, roses or strawberries. What if after you have connected the word RED to this certain color, the
word changed to A H P A H, a nonsense syllable? Kline (1921) created a law that says: If a is already
connected with b, then it is difficult to connect it with k, b gets in the way. In the example above,
anyone who is accustomed R E D being associated with the color red, would have difficulty
connecting the color red to AHPAH. This law is not just specific for colors. Any example involving
concepts or routines makes sense in the law. In Stroop s (1935) interference article, it was discovered
that there is more interference in color naming then color reading. The experiment described in the
article tested whether there was more interference from words or from colors (Stroop 1935). Two tests
were administered each with a separate control. The RCNd test determined how fast one could read
color names where the color was different from the color name while the NCWd test determined how
fast one could name colors where the color was different from the word on the page. The mean time
for 100 responses increased from 63.3 seconds on the RCNd test to 110.3 seconds on the NCWd test

Factors Affecting The Health And Social Care Services
The key factors that drive change in health and social care services are mostly known through SWOT
and PEST analysis. PEST is an acronym for political, economic, social and technology. PEST analysis
investigates the important factors that are affecting the industry and influencing the companies
operating in the health and social care. PEST analyses are external factors and when legal and
environment are added it becomes PESTLE analyses.
SWOT analyses at the other hand are internal factors. SWOT is an acronym for strength, weakness,
opportunity and threat. All the internal factors such as structure, skills, staff, systems, and shared
values need to be considered in the change. The above mentioned internal factors are really important
to the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust (RUH).
Political factors including factors like government policies and legislation drive change in the health
and social care sector. The political factors are known to have influence on the structure of the
organization, the professional practice, the distribution of services and the quality of services. An
example of a recent government policy on the NHS, is the introduction of charges to overseas patients
introduced by the British government led by the Tory party. Which makes it illegal for the NHS to see
overseas patients free of charge.
Economic factors include the consumer expenditure and disposal of income; unemployment and
recruitment, labor cost, and funding of health and social care

Zoolander And Social Justice
Zoolander is a 2001 film that was directed by Ben Stiller, who also starred as the main protagonist. On
the surface, the film appears to be a nonsensical comedy about male models in ridiculous clothing.
But, with a closer look, it becomes clear that this film is a satire with many messages about the fashion
industry and its negative impacts on society. The film begins with Derek Zoolander, an award winning
male model who is considered to be one of the best in the business. After losing a modeling award to a
younger, up and coming model named Hansel, he begins to realize that his career is coming to an end.
This realization makes him wonder if being a model is actually beneficial to anyone and if there s

Mugatu (and the rest of the fashion industry) are the bourgeoisie who have significant wealth and
power in the economy. The workers who produce clothes for these industries are the proletariat. The
Malaysian Prime Minister wants to create better working conditions for the people of his country,
which would cause the American fashion industries to lose some of their resources and control.
Therefore, the industries form a plan to kill the Prime Minister, thus keeping the power they hold.
Humorously (although historically inaccurate), the film reveals that the fashion industry is responsible
for every political assassination in the past 200 years due to similar conflicts of interest. For example,
Lincoln was killed in an attempt to stop the abolishment of slavery, which was essentially free labor

The United Farm Workers Association Improve The Conditions...
To what degree did the United Farm Workers Association improve the conditions of farmworkers in
California.
Introduction:
In 1910 mexicans fled from Mexico to work in agriculture in America, they labored in inhumane
conditions and the people they worked for ignored state laws on working conditions (Tavaana). This is
how the farm workers would work before the United Farm Workers Union came along. They didn t
have the rights they deserved, they were treated however the growers would like to treat them because
they would go around the law and do what they wanted. Farm workers didn t have unions and the
rights that they do now back in 1910. Research has been done on this topic on how them migrating
started, on how they were treated, and how it has gotten better over the years. This topic is important
because it discusses some of the history of Mexican immigrants. It also demonstrates some challenges
they went through when they came to the United States to find work. My study of the topic is
important because it will give some background information on how the farm workers were brought
and how they were treated. After I will bring in Cesar Chavez and his contributions to helping the
farm workers. Lastly I will be talking about his negative contribution which isn t talked about that
often and comparing it with the positive. My investigation fits into broader questions in the subject
because it is taking two different points of views and comparing them to each other. I choose

important and of interest for a number of reasons. More specifically, the monastic influence on present

Without their practice of private penance and the creation of penitential s we would not have the

practices that we Western Christians have the current understanding of the importance of spirituality,
prayer and divinity. If St. Patrick had not been able to convince the tribal leaders of the power of God
as well as establishing structured and organized monastic communities then perhaps the Celts would
have never been converted. Irish monastic practices and obedience have been fundamental and

Creative Concepts Of Creative Products
Creative products are goods or services produced and sold by creative industries. Creative industries
are defined as having their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent. They typically develop
products offered in the entertainment sector such as music, theatre, opera, film, art, broadcasting, etc.
Universally seen as a unique type of product, they produce symbolic goods in the form of experiences,
ideas or images. Because their products take the form of an experience or service, they are classified
as intangible. Intangible goods are products that have no physical nature meaning a person cannot
hold, touch, smell or otherwise handle it. Creative products are also seen as ephemeral, meaning they
only last for a certain period of time. Their value derives from the artistic and human talents
incorporated in it at the different stages of creation, production, reproduction and distribution. (CITE)
In many ways, these creative products are often seen as more difficult to analyse, manage or sell
compared to other commodity goods or services.
Figuring out why these products are often seen as more difficult means understanding how these
particular products are managed compared to their counterpart. Most notably, there is not just one
product being produced and sold. When it comes to creative goods, the whole product is composed of
several different types. From the seller s point, there is the formal product which is the actual artistic
performance itself that is being

The Imagery Tone of a Play:
The Use of Literary Devices Imagery Tone in Krapp s Last Tape
In the play Krapp s Last Tape, there is one protagonist who is described as sitting at a small table,
listening to tapes. Krapp is an impaired and broken down elderly man who spends his time listening to
his younger voice on tapes. He is egotistical and subjective towards his younger self and critiques the
way he acted in a certain place or time. He is lonely, but okay with it as he would rather focus on
things that he has already experienced, rather then engage in new ones. He is essentially stuck in the
past. The essay written below disputes the literary devices of imagery and tone in order to provide

Imagery plays a big part in describing the character s appearance and actions in order to show what a
character is like and how they respond to differing situations. It can also shape the story and reveal to
the reader the background of a person, place, or thing. In Krapp s Last Tape, the only character is
given much detail and description in order to start the play at a point where the reader already knows
some information about this elderly man. The literary convention of imagery provides insight into the
character that will lead the play.
Krapp, the main protagonist in Krapp s Last Tape is given a good amount of description, leading into
the beginning of dialogue. His raggedy grey hair, disheveled clothes, and death ridden face give the
reader an image of a character that has lived through many years. It is as if he has given up on life and
is preparing for what is to come. The fact that he is also hard of hearing and has a cracked voice,
seems to have intensified the distaste towards his character. Krapp s descriptive appearance helps to
foreshadow his cynical and confined personality.
Krapp also remains motionless for most of the play. The only actions that do take place are of him
eating a banana in the very beginning and the loading of the three tapes that Krapp focuses on in the
dialogue. This imagery of him loading the tapes and sitting at his table depicts

Psychological Theories Of Aggression
With new fads and hoaxes being created and revived daily on the internet it can be helpful to have a
healthy amount of skepticism when approaching these topics. From gamers and game makers
claiming that children have free will and many parents saying that children say and do what they see it
can be difficult to tell where the truth lies. By using psychological studies on the behavior of observers
the truth can be much less murky. If children watch their parents and repeat what they say, then it can
be predicted that they would do the same for other sources of information as well, including the
media.
Media affect theories in modern times originated with Bandura s social learning theory, which
suggests that children may learn aggression from viewing others. This modeling of behavior was first

The working definition of aggression, as stated in Violent Media Effects, is any actions directed
toward an individual that is carried out with the intent to cause them harm. The perpetrator must also
believe that the actions will harm the target and that the target would be motivated to avoid the
behavior (Groves, C. L., Prot, S., Anderson, C. A, 2016, pg.3). While it is important to know about
horrific acts of violence so that the human race can avoid repeating them, watching such crude acts is
not crucial.
Technological advancements have given rise to unprecedented access to television shows, movies, and
video games. Scientists have dedicated much of their attention on how media, particularly violent
media, influences viewers, and players. It is important to keep a child s innocence while still allowing
them to explore the world around them, and acts of violence are one thing they don t need to witness.

For the reason of restructuring employees are always stressful and their service quality fall down. The
restructuring process mainly detached the job rotation which is the key area to develop the employee
ability and get equal advantages of service quality as well as job satisfaction.
Frenkel et al. (1999) describe that, the great job satisfaction is being connected by the end appearance
of the work. This categorization can be useful where complaint management, for illustration, is
expected to stick to the previous, even as the technical help is being possible to be related with
concluding. In addition the beginning of differentiation and the task spelization between units can also
be talk about comparative to low satisfaction, required multiplicity and boredom as achievable push
factors. The additional issue apprehensions terms and conditions of worker at Tengo and it seems that
better Tengo and call centre s (other than pay) existing at other close by call centers. The restructuring
and content of morale is too likely to be important.
Tengo s payment method is higher than others call centre. However the work environment is not
friendly that s why employees are discouraged and dissatisfied with their job. The less favorable
facilitates includes work longer shift comparing nearby call center s employees, employees are

The Political Economy Of Globalization
Joseph Stiglitz and Layna Mosley both discuss globalization in detail and both have similar views
regarding globalization. In the chapter The Political Economy of Globalization Layna Mosley asks the
question whether globalizations effect on government policy making has adverse effects on the state
of the global economy or if governments retain autonomy in regards to policymaking despite
globalization. She analyzes trends in globalization and the hypothesis of the race to the bottom as well
as economic openness and if government are truly in control of capital markets. Joseph Stiglitz
however analyzes globalization in a historical and current point of view and how the management of
globalization has comparatively helped developed nations extensively more than developing/poor
nations. Stiglitz s supports his argument regarding the poor management of globalization by arguing
that monopoly power created by patents and the TRIPs agreement has resulted in an unfair global
market and is overall very critical of trade agreements. This paper will summarize and critically
analyze these two readings and why both texts make strong a valid point in regards to the management
of globalization and its effect on the global environment. Furthermore this paper will argue why the
texts support the claim that globalization has not only prospered but also resulted in the end of the
nation state because of the increasing interdependence between countries all around the world.

Mendel Shneerson Research Paper
Holden Hirsch 6/28/15 MJH Rosen Menachem Mendel Schneerson Webster dictionary defines Rebbe
as a rabbi or Jewish spiritual leader, esp. of the Hasidic sect. The Lubavitcher Rebbi, Rebbi
Menachem Mendel Schneerson, is the seventh leader of the Chabad Lubavitch movement, and is
considered one of the most influential Jewish personalities in modern times. The Rebbe was born in
1992 in Nikolaev, Russia, to the renown kabbalist, Talmudic scholar, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak and
Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson. in 1907, when Menachem Mendel was six years old, the Schneersons

Rabbi Moshe Weinberger of YU s Stone Beit Medrish Program agrees that the balance between
traditional Judaic studies and spirituality is missing throughout a lot of the Modern Orthodox
community. The success of the most influential Modern Orthodox Jewish youth organizations, NCSY
and Bnei Akiva, are based upon characteristically Chassidic traditions, such as singing, dancing, and
storytelling. Of Course, the Modern Orthodox movement stresses the importance of all singing,
dancing, and storytelling, but not to the extent of the Chassidic movement. And I believe that the
success of NCSY and Bnei Akiva are due to focus on the characteristically Chassidic traditions.
Further, the culmination of the Rebbe s movement has led to what Rabbi Moshe Weinberger calls the
neo chassidus movement. This movement is popular among young Modern Jewish Orthodoxy that
have grown up having difficulty connecting with their spirituality. Neo Chassidus enables people to
connect to God in their own unique way. Rather than learning Talmud, they will learn navi: rather than

What My Bike Has Taught Me About White Privilege
The Article The article What My Bike Has Taught Me About White Privilege by J. Dowsett talks
about how there is a white privilege in today s world even if people want to deny it. He used the
analogy of bike riders being the minorities and automobile drivers being white. Most automobile
drives do not think about the bike riders, they are not men to them they just do not cross there mind
and because of that they might mistreat. There are also the automobile drivers that go out of their way
to be mean to the bike riders just because they are driving a car so they feel superior.
Traditional and Alternative Perspectives
Post Positivist
Post Positivist see issues from a perspective that knowledge is key. Post Positivist have to have a
strong base to start from. The example from class was that it is like a pyramid, in order to be able to
come to a conclusion or the top of the pyramid they must establish a strong base. This base is made
out of research. Reality is something that we can understand and capture probabilistically using the
right tools (Schriver, 2011:126). They believe that with the right about of research they can come to an
answer that fits best. Traditional interpreted. A traditional Post Positivist would see this article in the

The Importance Of Youth Literacy Rates In Pakistan
● Youth Literacy Rates in Pakistan
Literacy rates are important beyond the obvious reasons of having an educated society, as for some
developing countries, the youth may represent the largest segment of the population, which predicts
the future capacity of a nation. For literacy rates to improve, government expenditure on education is a
key indicator for the youth to have accessible education at little to no costs, gain employment
opportunities and be part of the political process of their country (Unicef, 2016). Given the importance
of literacy among children and adults, there is no doubt why it s recognized as a right for all and
contributes not only to modernizing societies but improving economic growth. The most common
understanding of literacy is understood in terms of having a set of discrete skills such as reading,
writing, and skill based training (Midgley, Davies, Oliver, Danaher, 2014, p. 127). Pervez Musharaf s
nine year rule remained of the longest in the history of Pakistan, but which also brought many changes
in the capacity socio economic indicators for the country. To consolidate his power and become more
elusive after overthrowing an elected government in 1999, he put social policies and structural reforms
at the top of his priorities, which led to the economy growing (Khan, Amjad, Din, 2005, p. 456). In
fact, his tenure laid the groundwork for important reforms to build strong institutions, which became
apparent by 2008, as not only annual GDP at

Eu Enlargement And Its Impact On The World Of The Cold War
While early EU history is marked by efforts to abridge political and economic gaps between formal
enemies, recent EU enlargement is a one of tensions between established and new member interests
and broader interests of the organization itself. In recent decades, the most prominent issue of EU
integration is the ongoing discussion in established member states on expansion prospects. The fall of
the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War opened the possibility for immense political and
economic transformation for Eastern European states. The result of this transformation brought the
unprecedented possibility for many post communist states to join the EU. This possibility, however, is
met with hostility on domestic level in some of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ultimately, in theory, binding normative ideas and not individual member states influence EU
integration; however, in practice upholding essential norms, such as human rights, is plagued by
double standards in established and new members, just like in other parts of the world. The double
standards arise from shared practices that undermine human rights despite EU s formal commitment to
protect them. These limitations hamper Europeanization and proper norm diffusion, so in practice
specific broad organizational objectives of established member states, such as desire to maintain a
democratic sub content, appear to drive the process of EU integration at this time. Conventional
Wisdom about Heresthetics Riker s view of Institutions as a source of heresthetics The heated
domestic debates in established member states on new member accession exposes gaps in social
consensus about new member accession in the EU. Broadly, social consensus in decision making
implies that minority and majority opinions are taken into account. The alienation of a minority
group(s) in decision making is often utilized by political rivals to spark a political backlash that can
hurt the reputation of a politician or jeopardize the future of the dominant party or government. Since
politicians are keenly aware of this possibility, they strategically establish options they prefer among

The Search For Justice In Ian Mcewan s Atonement
The pictures painted in one s head may seem harmless or even helpful to that single individual;
however, once those pictures are introduced to the real world they can take a drastic turn. What might
seem right to one could have consequences that harm those around him or her, causing chaos and
destruction. Individuals are blinded by what they believe in and many fail to stop and think about how
their actions will affect those closest to them. Briony Tallis is a prime example of this; she wants
justice to be served for a story that is made up in her head and she does not realize the toll it will take
on those around her. In Ian McEwan s Atonement, Briony s wandering imagination leads her to seek a
fictional justice that causes people around her to suffer while the truth remains hidden; although she
later tries to amend her wrongdoings, the damage has already been done and she is unsuccessful.
During her search for justice, Briony s imagination and need to create stories strongly obscures her
idea of what a rightful justice is. She [is] one of those children possessed by a desire to have the world
just so (McEwan 4). Everything she experiences is automatically turned into an event from a story,
thus causing her mind to focus on what would go along with the story rather than what is actually
happening in the real world. This is partially because she is only 13, making her too young to
understand the consequences of paying too much attention to the artificial world rather than

The Challenges And Resiliencies Of Latino Immigrant...
The current study is examining the challenges and resiliencies of Latino immigrant parents. This study
will be using a qualitative research design. This qualitative design will be accomplished through the
use of face to face and phone interviews. This current study seeks to answer the following questions:
What parental challenges do Latino immigrant parents face? What resiliencies do Latino immigrant
parents obtain? What resources/services do Latino immigrant parents feel they need? What parenting
skills, styles, and/or knowledge have Latino immigrant parents used and were they effective in
producing positive child outcomes? One advantage of using a qualitative design is that the researchers
get more detailed and in depth answers. Another advantage of using a qualitative design is that more
complex questions can be asked. Researchers can also explain terms and questions in order to get the
most reliable answers. One limitation of using a qualitative design, is the limited number of
participants upon which the results are based. Without a large sample size, it is difficult to conclude
that the results will be generalized to a larger population size. Another limitation of this study is that
the research results will be based on self reports which limits the reliance on the data. Participants may
not truthfully report their behaviors and feelings. Participants may answer the interview questions with
socially acceptable answers. Participants may be inclined to change their

Satire In The Entertainment Industry
Why is it that people are so attracted to all forms of entertainment? Is there a greater purpose behind
all those hours spent glued to screens? In the media, satirical entertainment has emerged as a force
revealing truths. Merriam Webster defines satire as a literary work holding up human vices and follies
to ridicule or scorn . The role of satire in the entertainment industry is to expose the weaknesses and
corruption in society. Entertainment does not have the capacity to ruin society; entertainment simply
reflects society because it engages and appeals to the common experiences of the audience.
Throughout civilization, entertainment is used to reveal the true nature of individuals. It can only be
assumed that those who object to satirical forms of entertainment must have faults that they fear will
be brought to light. Prominent figures in the nineteenth and twentieth century despised satire. Rulers
during those times were cautious of entertainment dissolving the ties of our social order through
citizens recognizing the corruption around them and rebelling. A form of entertainment that has been
around for centuries is the political cartoon. Political cartoons utilize parody and caricature in an effort
to interest and educate an audience. Throughout history, these cartoons have been used to ... Show

The Main Focal Point Of Erik Larson s Devil
The main focal point of Erik Larson s Devil in the White City is centered around the excitement,
murders, and magic of the Chicago World s Fair of 1893. In 1890, Chicago was becoming a very
populated and anxious city of America. The city itself wanted something to prove to the more
traditional eastern cities of the United States. Driven by its massive civic pride, Chicago joined in the
election against New York, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C. to be considered where the placement of
the next World s Fair would be located. Paris, France hosted the previous World s Fair and left the
world astonished with its architectural achievements with the Eiffel tower. Civic leaders in the
opposing cities ultimately agreed to place the Fair in Chicago. ... Show more content on

Daniel Burnham and John Root s project of the Chicago World s Fair convinces the reader that the
project was tremendously rushed. Burnham and Root faced a lot of complications and dilemmas.
Starting with the time constraint when the Fair needed to be finished. If an engineer capable of besting
Eiffel did not step forward soon, Burnham knew, there simply would not be enough time left to build
anything worthy of the fair. Somehow he needed to rouse the engineers of America. (155) Burnham
was given ___ years until the opening date May 1, 1893. This project had to be done swiftly and still

he also had to confront his architectural team about their artistic views and how they could comprise

employees faced, some obstacles would occur with the treatment of his workers. Burnham had to open

exposition workers lost their lives, two from fractured skulls, two electrocuted. The

Suicide Through Social Media
Rebecca Sedwick, a 12 year old girl, committed suicide after being repeatedly cyberbullied by 15 girls
for many months. Once again, cyberbullying through social media has led to the suicide of a child. (
Phillips, Suzanne ) Social media allows hundreds of ways to communicate with others with electronic
devices. Sometimes communicating with strangers, and sometimes unanimous. This idea of constant
messages, notifications, and texts can be very dangerous when it comes to cyberbullying because the
victim feels like they have no way out, or nowhere to hide. Social media for kids and teens ultimately
has only negative effects because it leads to cyberbullying, a decrease in education, and suicide.

Suicide is not an uncommon result of tormenting through social media. The psychological impact [of

Climate Change, Human Security and Violent Conflict Essay
Climate change is becoming a focal point for security and conflict research. Research suggests that
violent conflict is affected by climate change and this could become increasingly worse in the future.
Barnett, J., Adger, W. (2007) suggest that climate change undermines human security by reducing the
access to natural resources that sustain people s way of life. Climate change also has the capacity to
undermine states as well by cutting off the states ability to provide opportunities and services that help
maintain life and which help to maintain and build peace in daily life. With access to natural resources

Third, it explains that climate change may weaken states ability to provide resources and services to
the people. And finally, it outlines further research that could be conducted on climate change human
security (or the lack of) and violent conflict. It is evident that the climate of the world is changing and
has been since the creation of the earth but over that past decade the change had begun to occur more
rapidly. With this occurrence of climate change is the occurrence of violent conflict among humans. In
most parts of the world the climate change impacts social ecological systems such as temperature, sea
level, and annual precipitation. Other occurrence have just increased in intensity and frequency such
as floods, droughts, storms, cyclones, fires, heat waves, epidemics and hurricanes. Yet these
environmental changes do not undermine human security but they do assist in the use up of the natural
resources that humans need to maintain the normal daily life and most importantly survive. Violence
happens for a number of reasons some to include leaders are able to mobilize groups to do certain
things that cause violence, the loot ability of natural resources and other products and because some
individuals choose to be violent. It is very important to note that climate change will not make
violence nor increase the risk of violence in isolation, it also requires other important social factors.

Cultural Influences On Bullying
There are many influences that play their parts within Bullying that many of us are not always aware
of. Social roles, cultural beliefs and biases, social inequality, and even excising social conditions fall
within social issues of Bullying. For starters, a victim and Bullies are considered the social roles of
Bullying. The victim often describes the person being bullied as opposed to the bully is the person
initiating bullying.
When a person is initiating bullying, it often refers to verbal or physical harassment such as fighting,
calling names and even black mailing. In fact, researchers and bloggers have mentioned labeling kids,
as victims and Bullies does not help discard the situation. It is known to cause children to identify
themselves as victims and bullies and patterns may be repeated. Nonetheless, although social roles
such as Victims and Bullies can be negative as far as labeling, it has helps understand the source of
warning signs and aggressive behavior so it can be managed properly. For example, Warning signs
such as constantly speaking negative, getting into a lot of fights, being aggressive and even coming
home with scars and bruises. Average shows that potential bullying may occurs during the 4th 12th
grade. During these situations some schools have requested organizations and awareness taught during
classes to help educate kids on he effects and possible consequences of bullying.

Purpose and Audience for the AT T Site
In discussing the purpose and audience for the AT T site, the possibilities are endless. This is due to the
fact that the document is online, which means it is exposed to more people than a regular print
document would most likely be exposed too. The fact that the document is a website and available on
the internet makes the purpose more multi faceted based on the audience groups viewing it.
People the ages of 3 to 99 are on the internet these days. The internet is something that most people

It is a process that is driven by international trade and investment but, is also supported by information technology (What is Globalization?). Large corporations have taken advantage of foreign markets by building factories in less developed countries and through using established marketing arrangements with foreign partners. A defining feature of globalization, therefore, is an international, industrial and financial business structure (What is Globalization?). In this essay, I am going to consider the effects of globalization on contemporary, developing and indigenous cultures. This will include looking at both the negative effects as well as the benefits of globalization on the world as a whole. Globalization is profoundly controversial. Some people argue that this international change allows poor countries and their citizens to develop economically and raise their standards of living. Maternal stress also plays a role in the prenatal development affecting the length of gestation. Most commonly, maternal prenatal stress affects birth outcomes including prenatal delivery. Emerging research suggests that measures of pregnancy specific stress are better than measures of general psychological distress for predicting developmental outcomes including preterm delivery (Davis Sandman, 2010). Goals from the study in this article investigated maternal cortisol and stress and how each affects cognitive and motor development. Women who reported having higher levels of stress during the prenatal period reported a strong correlation with cognitive and motor development were associated with a stronger correlation of cognitive and motor development in their children, and reported higher levels of stress and anxiety earlier in pregnancy. • 9. The Stoop Effect of Interference The Stroop Effect Since birth, we are taught that certain words are connected with certain ideas. For example, the word R E D is associated with the color of the wavelength of light from approximately 620 740 nm on the electromagnetic spectrum (Bohren (2006)) or in simpler terms, the color of stop signs, roses or strawberries. What if after you have connected the word RED to this certain color, the word changed to A H P A H, a nonsense syllable? Kline (1921) created a law that says: If a is already connected with b, then it is difficult to connect it with k, b gets in the way. In the example above, anyone who is accustomed R E D being associated with the color red, would have difficulty connecting the color red to AHPAH. This law is not just specific for colors. Any example involving concepts or routines makes sense in the law. In Stroop s (1935) interference article, it was discovered that there is more interference in color naming then color reading. The experiment described in the article tested whether there was more interference from words or from colors (Stroop 1935). Two tests were administered each with a separate control. The RCNd test determined how fast one could read color names where the color was different from the color name while the NCWd test determined how fast one could name colors where the color was different from the word on the page. The mean time for 100 responses increased from 63.3 seconds on the RCNd test to 110.3 seconds on the NCWd test or an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

PEST analyses are external factors and when legal and environment are added it becomes PESTLE analyses. SWOT analyses at the other hand are internal factors. SWOT is an acronym for strength, weakness, opportunity and threat. All the internal factors such as structure, skills, staff, systems, and shared values need to be considered in the change. The above mentioned internal factors are really important to the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust (RUH). Political factors including factors like government policies and legislation drive change in the health and social care sector. The political factors are known to have influence on the structure of the organization, the professional practice, the distribution of services and the quality of services. An example of a recent government policy on the NHS, is the introduction of charges to overseas patients introduced by the British government led by the Tory party. • 11. Zoolander And Social Justice Zoolander is a 2001 film that was directed by Ben Stiller, who also starred as the main protagonist. On the surface, the film appears to be a nonsensical comedy about male models in ridiculous clothing. But, with a closer look, it becomes clear that this film is a satire with many messages about the fashion industry and its negative impacts on society. The film begins with Derek Zoolander, an award winning male model who is considered to be one of the best in the business. After losing a modeling award to a younger, up and coming model named Hansel, he begins to realize that his career is coming to an end. Therefore, the industries form a plan to kill the Prime Minister, thus keeping the power they hold. Introduction: In 1910 mexicans fled from Mexico to work in agriculture in America, they labored in inhumane conditions and the people they worked for ignored state laws on working conditions (Tavaana). This is how the farm workers would work before the United Farm Workers Union came along. They didn t have the rights they deserved, they were treated however the growers would like to treat them because they would go around the law and do what they wanted. Farm workers didn t have unions and the rights that they do now back in 1910. Research has been done on this topic on how them migrating started, on how they were treated, and how it has gotten better over the years. This topic is important because it discusses some of the history of Mexican immigrants. It also demonstrates some challenges they went through when they came to the United States to find work. • 15. Creative Concepts Of Creative Products Creative products are goods or services produced and sold by creative industries. Creative industries are defined as having their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent. They typically develop products offered in the entertainment sector such as music, theatre, opera, film, art, broadcasting, etc. Universally seen as a unique type of product, they produce symbolic goods in the form of experiences, ideas or images. Because their products take the form of an experience or service, they are classified as intangible. Intangible goods are products that have no physical nature meaning a person cannot hold, touch, smell or otherwise handle it. Creative products are also seen as ephemeral, meaning they only last for a certain period of time. Their value derives from the artistic and human talents incorporated in it at the different stages of creation, production, reproduction and distribution. The Importance Of Youth Literacy Rates In Pakistan ● Youth Literacy Rates in Pakistan Literacy rates are important beyond the obvious reasons of having an educated society, as for some developing countries, the youth may represent the largest segment of the population, which predicts the future capacity of a nation. For literacy rates to improve, government expenditure on education is a key indicator for the youth to have accessible education at little to no costs, gain employment opportunities and be part of the political process of their country (Unicef, 2016). Given the importance of literacy among children and adults, there is no doubt why it s recognized as a right for all and contributes not only to modernizing societies but improving economic growth. • 27. The Search For Justice In Ian Mcewan s Atonement The pictures painted in one s head may seem harmless or even helpful to that single individual; however, once those pictures are introduced to the real world they can take a drastic turn. What might seem right to one could have consequences that harm those around him or her, causing chaos and destruction. Individuals are blinded by what they believe in and many fail to stop and think about how their actions will affect those closest to them. Briony Tallis is a prime example of this; she wants justice to be served for a story that is made up in her head and she does not realize the toll it will take on those around her. In Ian McEwan s Atonement, Briony s wandering imagination leads her to seek a fictional justice that causes people around her to suffer while the truth remains hidden; although she later tries to amend her wrongdoings, the damage has already been done and she is unsuccessful. During her search for justice, Briony s imagination and need to create stories strongly obscures her idea of what a rightful justice is. She [is] one of those children possessed by a desire to have the world just so (McEwan 4). Everything she experiences is automatically turned into an event from a story, thus causing her mind to focus on what would go along with the story rather than what is actually happening in the real world. • 29. Satire In The Entertainment Industry Why is it that people are so attracted to all forms of entertainment? Is there a greater purpose behind all those hours spent glued to screens? In the media, satirical entertainment has emerged as a force revealing truths. Merriam Webster defines satire as a literary work holding up human vices and follies to ridicule or scorn . The role of satire in the entertainment industry is to expose the weaknesses and corruption in society. Entertainment does not have the capacity to ruin society; entertainment simply reflects society because it engages and appeals to the common experiences of the audience. Throughout civilization, entertainment is used to reveal the true nature of individuals. It can only be assumed that those who object to satirical forms of entertainment must have faults that they fear will be brought to light. Prominent figures in the nineteenth and twentieth century despised satire. Rulers during those times were cautious of entertainment dissolving the ties of our social order through citizens recognizing the corruption around them and rebelling.
