The Four Characters Of Beowulf And Modern Day Heros
There are two basic types of heroesheros. Some heroes Heros take the direct approach and overcome
obstacles with raw power and strength, both physical and moral. Others use their intelligence along
with trickery and ruthlessness. It is hard for a hero to take a more direct approach than Beowulf. For
example, he rips Grendel s arm right out of its socket! He also shows moral strength by being
champion of the values of his society. There are also some other things that can differentiate two types
heros. The first the type that sees killing as the only solution to a problem, and the second is one that
sees killing as the last possible option and tries to resolve the situation diplomatically. This is what
mainly contrasts Beowulf from modern ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
None of them expected he would ever see his homeland again or get back to his native place and the
people who reared him. Beowulf leaves his homeland to take down Grendel, and eventually Grendel s
mother. Luke left his home to fight the empire who killed his family and to fight to save the people he
cared about. Beowulf also is granted mystical weapons along his journey such as when Unferth lends
Beowulf Hrunting, a sword that has never failed and has been passed down in Unferth s family, also
Luke Skywalker is granted a mystical weapon by Obi wan Kenobi called a lightsaber. But the things
that really separate Beowulf from the two modern heros I have described are the values of the time
periods these stories were written. Like how Beowulf s only solution to a problem is killing the
problem. Whereas in Star Wars, Luke is able to coax the good out of his father (his enemy) by refusing
to fight. This makes Luke Skywalker a modern hero. Beowulf would never do anything like this. The
Values shown in Star Wars reflects the values of America after the Vietnam War they re vastly
different from the values of Anglo Saxon, which the Epic Beowulf is based off of. Although the
journeys may have some differences

Pttm s Pathological Determortem Diagnosis
PTTM is a highly fatal, rare complication from metastatic carcinoma. Von Herbay et al. first described
the disease in 1990 after a review of 630 consecutive autopsy cases of carcinoma (8). Of the 21 cases,
gastric carcinoma was the most prevalent. Although less prevalent, malignancies of lung, breast,
prostate, and colon, among others were noted during the study (8). An antermortem diagnosis is
challenging due to the rapidly progressive pulmonary hypertension and right side heart failure.
However, PTTM has pathological, radiological, and clinical characteristics that can help aid an
antermortem diagnosis. In order to assess PTTM s pathological characteristics antermortem, a lung
biopsy is required. A histological assessment from a lung biopsy is the most accurate method of
diagnosis; however, the patients are usually too hypoxic upon discovery to perform a lung biopsy. In
which case, a pathological diagnosis can only be made postmortem. Although, antermortem and
postmortem investigations will inspect for the same determining factors histologically. PTTM is
defined by the activation of fibroceullular intimal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Several cases of PTTM have shown distinct radiological imaging characteristics that should be used to
influence a diagnosis. The mediastinal views of a chest CT angiogram should indicate multiple
mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathies, along with right side heart failure displayed from the
flattening of the interventricular septum (4, 5). Centrilobular nodules and tree in bud images are also
radiological indicators of PTTM (4). Additionally, the chest CT angiogram should not show signs of a
pulmonary embolism, which is a common suspicion during the clinical investigation of PTTM (2, 3).
However, radiological characteristics are not as definitive as pathological aspects and should be
coupled with high suspicion from clinical characteristics

Book Report On The Japanese Tales
In the Japanese Tales, translated by Royall Tyler, the observation that snakes function as agents of
karma is valid. In order to teach this Buddhist theme, snakes can be portrayed with a broad range of
abilities and personalities to maintain a system of cosmic justice. Consequently, the imagery of snakes
is seen as complex and paradoxical from tale to tale through their ways of delivering justices.
However, snakes are not only agents of karma, but can also be agents to teach the consequence of
sexual desires. This essay will show the complex characterization of snakes in order to express the
consequences for certain behaviors such as dishonesty, lack of devotion to Buddhism, and lust.
While snakes are seen as agents of karma in Red Heat, they are also portrayed as a creature with
strong vengeful and evil personality toward those who express dishonesty and lack of devotion to
Buddhist vows. As illustrated in Red Heat, a pair of monks sets themselves up for karmic
repercussions by accepting hospitality from a lustful widow. This gives a chance for the widow to
target one of the monks to be her sexual partner, which placed the monk in a situation to commit more
misdeeds. The monks behavior demonstrates a lack of devotion to protecting their vow to remain in
chaste, which was to stay away from sexual interactions with women (Tyler 160). When the sexual
pursuit occurred, the monk told the widow, If I suddenly break my vow, we ll suffer (Tyler 160).

Commander s Duties In The US Army
1. Commander s Priorities:
a. Readiness: This is our number one priority. As leaders and trainers for the KSARNG it is imperative
we build and sustain a ready force. The Regiment must continue to grow internally by recruiting
highly qualified NCOs and officers to serve as trainers and support personnel. All Regimental Soldiers
will be trained, ready, and qualified in their duty MOS or Area of Concentration (AOC).
(1) Individual Readiness: Readiness begins at the individual level and builds unit readiness! All
Soldiers need to complete their annual Periodic Health Assessment (PHA), Individual Weapons
Qualification (IWQ), and physical fitness test. In addition, Soldiers must complete their required
military and civilian education programs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Open lines of communication keep KSARNG units informed about assignment opportunities and
encourages officer growth through OCS/WOCS. Regularl communicateion with NGB, TRADOC and
the respective proponents provides us current guidance.. Lastly, in our communities, specifically with
high schools and community and technical colleges, provide us the opportunity to increase the
strength of the KSARNG and represent the KSARNG as a positive role model.
d. Safety, fourth priority: The focus on safety begins at the lowest level. Leaders need to mitigate risk
by creating a safe environment for training events conducted at the KSRTI. Our major training events
bring together Soldiers from across the nation without a common organizational safety attitude, and
thus present a unique risk. We must aggressively attack this issue at all levels within the Regiment and
all leaders must understand that safety is incorporated in our culture.

The Importance Of Organising A Local Live Music Event
Four piece indie rock band The Reveurs reached out to promoters to assemble a live music event
celebrating the release of new single, Control. The process of organising a local live music event
involved various procedures, personnel, strategies and considerations. This document clarifies the
preparation of the launch, supported by industry resources and the development of accordance. The
project was conceived seven weeks prior to the event by headlining band, The Reveurs. Band
members had a preconceived idea of what they expected from the event. Due to the nature of the
event, it was most appropriate to book a promoter who would manage all elements rather than paying
a sizable fee to an event management company. The promoter was expected to examine and determine
all of the clients requirements through briefing. Asking too few questions or not listening adequately
to a client s answers can compromise the success of the event you plan (Entrepreneur Press, 2010,
p.28). Arguably, the interaction between the client and the promoter is the most vital due to the
communication between the two parties being the starting point of the project. Various factors were of
greater importance such as the purpose and date of the event, whilst other factors were subject to
compromise. Any event serves to gather a crowd with a common interest and in the case of a musical
experience, the musicians serve to entertain an audience. With regard to The Reveurs single launch,

Eric, The Huntsman s Journey
Eric, the Huntsman, seems to be somewhat an outcast in his character. Due to the fact that he only
wants to care for himself and wishes not to obey anyone, especially the spiteful Queen Ravenna.
Although, he was forced to take the task to find what the Queen wanted, which was Snow White, he is
desperate and tortured knowing that he will not get his wife back whether or not he goes to find the
princess, yet he took this mission anyways.
The Huntsman s Journey
The Huntsman happened to obey orders and take this journey as the Queen demanded, although he
expects something in return, something that means everything to him. He was set out into the Dark
Forest to find Snow White and supposably kill her, when unanticipatedly he was her savior and
protector throughout their journey together. Throughout this adventure, Snow White and the
Huntsman became closer together as the days went on. He taught her some survival skills to where if

He would not leave her sight because if she was gone, he knew they would both would be found and
killed. When Snow White was found unconscious by Eric, he had felt like it was his fault and that he
was responsible for what happened. He was not there when it happened and he wished we would have
been.
The Initiation
In the movie, initiation does occur. The Huntsman is separated by what he knows in his village to be
able to survive anything that approaches the Dark Forest. He is then able to transform into a better
hero than what he expected to be by staying by Snow White s side, knowing he could not let even the
slightest thing happen to her. For his return, he is able to watch the princess defeat the evil Ravenna
from what he had taught her and watch her become the new Queen of the Kingdom of Tabor. He had a
good feeling knowing that everything would go back to normal with Snow White being Queen.

It acts as a filter for blood, removing microbes and worn out damaged red blood cells. It also produces
leukocytes, white blood cells. You can live without your spleen, if the removal of the spleen is a
necessity, the other organs in the body adapt and increase their ability to fight infection and remove
redundant red blood cells. The spleen is divided into two main compartments, red pulp and white pulp.
surrounded by a dense fibrous covering called the splenic capsule. White pulp, is the infeciton
combating lymphoid tissue where white blood cells are produced and mature. This pulp is made up of
periarteriolar lymphoid sheathes, and lymphatic nodules. The sheathes surround central arteries within
the spleen and contain T lypmhocytes that attack foreign bodies as blood is filtered into the spleen.
The lymphatic nodules are where B Lymphocytes predominate, producing antibodies to coat
pathogens and flag them for removal by scavanger leukocytes. The splenic artery delivers blood to the
spleen where it is filtered by red pulp. The red pulp is made up of cords of conective tissue and wide
blood vessels called splenic sinusoids. Blood passes through the cords and into the sinusoids where it
is drained into the large trabecular veins of the spleen. Red pulp can also be used for its healing

The Death Penalty Is Cruel And Unusual Punishment
Some people think that abolishing the death penalty would cause criminals to commit more capital
crimes. Although to some degree this is true, I believe that if a criminal is going to commit any capital
crime his or her first thought is how can I get away with this? Most criminal may not even think about
getting caught. For me this statement applies to the mentally ill convicts, which is one of the reasons
why I m against the death penalty. Besides the execution of an mentally ill person these are the
reasons why I oppose the death penalty the death penalty is racist, the death penalty is cruel and
unusual punishment, the death penalty is not a deterrent to violent crime, the death penalty condemns
the innocent to die, and the death penalty punishes the poor. The death penalty is a punishment to
execute, which is overseen to someone who is legally convicted of a capital crime. In my opinion the
objective of the death penalty is an eye for an eye for both the justice system and the victim family.
Some people may consider it as a lesson, which ultimately only a person who understands they have
done wrong can learn from that lesson. A mentally ill person doesn t have the mentality to understand
the real world and what is going on around them, because of their symptoms. Yet this system allows
them to represent themselves if they wish too. According to Laura Hallas, When death sentences
increase from just a quarter of the national average to the national average, error rates

Nicolas Poussin s The Plague At Ashdod
The Plague at Ashdod is Nicolas Poussin s most frequently studied and celebrated plague paintings of
the seventeenth century. The painting represents the Old Testament story from passages in the First
Book of Samuel. According to the scriptures, the Philistines had stolen the Ark of the Covenant and
brought it to the statue of Dagon. This angered God and he plagued the citizens of Ashdod with
tumors and swarmed the territory with rats. In 1630, while Poussin worked on the painting, Italy was
stricken with the worst outbreak of the bubonic plague. This had a major influence on his depiction of
the Old Testament story. Sheila Barker s Poussin, Plague, and Early Modern Medicine offers the
beliefs surrounding Poussin s medical and spiritual knowledge of the plague. Christine Boeckl s The
Miracle of the Ark in the Temple of Dagon makes connections to literary and visual sources that
influenced Poussin s painting. The Plague at Ashdod was not just isolated to the Old Testament but
also served as an indication to a series of destructive events that were to come. ... Show more content

Even though both focused on the same artwork, each article offers a different dissertation and provides
substantial evidence to support their claim. Boeckl gives evidence of literary and visual sources of
plague iconography that Poussin adopted in his painting. She also includes references to the gestures,
attributes and motifs in the sketches for The Miracle and offers an understanding of the artists thought
process. Barker explains contemporary understanding of medicine and poetry influenced Poussin s
interpretation of the biblical plague. She gives insight that the composition was tied to the belief that it
could immunize viewers against the plague. I now respond differently to The Plague of Ashdod by
understanding how it serves as a biblical reference and a plague image based on the arguments Sheila

John s Wort, thus activating brain neurotransmission and counteracting depression. Other scientists
argue that hyperforin and hypericin concentrations in common supplement dosages are too low to
penetrate the brain deeply enough to influence brain neurotransmission (Enna and Norton).
Experimental conclusions do little to clarify. One study, quoted by scientist Amitara Dasgupta,
demonstrated that St. John s Wort worked better than a placebo in treating depression with response
rates as high as 1.97 in nine small trials and 1.28 in nine large trials. Furthermore, when compared
against prescription SSRI s, St. John s Wort treated depression as effectively with response rates as
high as 1.02 in five trials and 1.00 in another 12 trials (Dasgupta). Another study, conducted by the
United States National Institutes of Health, found the patient s response to St. John s Wort no more
effective than the placebo. Surprisingly, in this same experiment, the prescription antidepressants used
as a control also failed to display a statistically significant benefit in treating depression (Enna and
Norton). This particular study took place in 1993, but even today scientists are unable to determine the
efficacy of St. John s Wort as a treatment of depression. Instead, results vary so widely that they are
inconclusive. Of course, this is a problem itself. Why is it so difficult for scientists all around the

What Is Electromyography Is A Method For Evaluate Levels...
Abstract: Electromyography is a method to evaluate levels of muscular activity. When a muscle fiber
contracts, an action potential is generated and this circulates along the muscular fibers. In
electromyography, electrodes are connected to the skin and the electrical activity of muscles is
measured and graph is plotted. The surface electromyography signals selected during the muscular
activity are interfaced with a system. The EMG signals from individual suffering from Neuropathy
and healthy individual, so obtained, are processed and analyzed using signal processing techniques.
This project includes the investigation and interpretation of EMG signals of healthy and Neuropathic
individuals using MATLAB. The prospective utilization of this study is in developing the prosthetic
device for the people with Neuropathic disability.

Electronic Technology For Curriculum Observation
Electronic Technology for Curriculum Observation Documentation Michelle Valladares MGMT 7003
December 4, 2014 Many childcare centres in North America have introduced technology as a natural
element of the classroom. Young learners have become part of the iGeneration in which the use of
technology comes to be a natural way of learning, interacting with others and making sense of the
world (Pellerin, 2012). In regards to documentation and assessment, there have been different digital
tools that are creating a new way of evaluating and observing how children learn. According to
research by Pellerin (2012), assessment for the 21st century learning and teaching requires a shift from
assessment of learning toward assessment strategies for learning. In order for teachers to understand
assessment strategies for learning they must see documentation under a new digital perspective.
Documentation now includes gathering of tangible evidence from a variety of means such as learning
stories, photographs, video and audio recordings of the students learning process (ELECT, 2007).
Effective documentation will not only gather information but also tell a story and purpose of an event,
experience, or development. In a digital era, technology tools and applications like Ipads and Ipods are
creating a learning experience for children, teachers and families unlike any other tools in the past. In
the 21 century, almost every educator and adult in North America has a

social order. Francisco de Goya, Executions on the Third of May, 1808, 1814 15 oil on canvas is a
stylized depiction of life during the invasion of Spain by Napoleon. Like the Picasso, this piece also
speaks to politics and social order. The line is the first noticeable difference in the two pieces. Picasso
uses very straight lines and geometric shapes, giving a feeling of end or absolution, while Goya has a
much more flowing line which lends to motion, and reality. Goya uses bright vibrant color to draw the
viewers eye the man with guns being panted at him and then to the red blood spread around below
him, while Picasso uses a gray scale and value allowing the mind to either fill in the color, or, as it
does for me, really combine it all like an explosion, and parts and pieces of each. The line and color in
Goya lends to a motion, a life, an intensity about the situation, where the lack of color, and fixed line
and geometric shape all seem stale and still. Picasso uses an implied triangle that is centered in his
piece giving me a feeling of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

overall reality of the piece. The Goya is more symmetrical than they Picasso. If you cut the Goya in

There Will Come Soft Rain Technology Essay
In today s growing society, technology has brought many reforms to the way we operate on a daily
basis. Most tend to consider the positive effects of technology, and how much it has benefited us both
socially and in the workplace. However, there is a form of duality that comes with these
developments; Despite the seemingly positive outcomes associated with the benefits of technology,
there is also a lack of responsibility on our part that results. Hence, over time it has been increasingly
difficult to draw the line between what is reasonable and what it simply too much when it comes to
using technology. In Ray Bradbury s There Will Come Soft Rains and The Veldt two short stories

One of the many magnificent features of the house is the automated kitchen. This kitchen pampered
the family by preparing each meal, washing the dishes, and serving them all at the dinner table, all
responsibilities you would expect of a typical household. Early in the text, Bradbury comprehensively
describes the kitchen s seemingly perfect nature, In the kitchen the breakfast stove gave a hissing sigh
and ejected from its warm interior eight pieces of perfectly browned toast, eggs sunnyside up, sixteen
slices of bacon, two coffees, and two cold glasses of milk (There Will Come Soft Rains 1). The
precision and accuracy of the breakfast prepared was impeccable: the milk cold, eggs and toast
prepared to perfection, and exactly sixteen slices of bacon to feed a family. With such an ideal, why
would anyone need or want to cook breakfast, when their effort could easily be replaced? Instead of
relying on themselves, one would instead choose to rely on this automated kitchen. The more someone
ceases to rely on themselves, the less responsible they ultimately become. Therefore, Bradbury s brief,
yet powerful, use of imagery supports the idea that it in such a technologically advanced environment,
taking on basic responsibilities is

Examples Of Heroes In The Real World
A hero can be anywhere and anyone, they could be your neighbor or best friend. There are many
heroes in the world some are kind and sweet. When you think about a hero you think about superman
or spider man but that s not a hero that can help you with your struggles. The hero that is taking place

inspires others to do the right thing, and they don t depend on others to do everything for them. Hero s
in the real world are selfless, helpful, and inspires others. For example a police officer is nice, helps

Essay on Fiscal Policy
Fiscal Policy can be explained in many ways, for example. Fiscal policy is the use of the government
budget to affect an economy. When the government decides on the taxes that it collects, the transfer
payments it gives out, or the goods and services that it purchases, it is engaging in fiscal policy. The
primary economic impact of any change in the government budget is felt by particular groups a tax cut
for families with children, for example, raises the disposable income of such families. Discussions of
fiscal policy, however, usually focus on the effect of changes in the government budget on the overall
economy on such macroeconomic variables as GNP and unemployment and inflation.

This policy involves increasing government spending and cutting taxes, in order to spur economic
output. But if the government decides they need to do the opposite the government may adopt
concretionary fiscal policy. This involves a reduction in government spending and an increase in taxes
when faced with an overheating economy. But these actions, may have other effects in the economy.
For instance, and expansionary fiscal policy may lead to the crowding out of investment.
Like every other government controlled organization there is a group of people who are control of
Fiscal Policy. There is a Council of Economics. These men are called Council of Economic Advisors.
In the Council of Advisors there are three people. There is a Chairmen and two members. Even though
there are not a lot of people in this council it is a very important council. These three men are very
influential to the President. The Council of Economic Advisors haves five main jobs to do.
First off the Council must assist and advise the President in the preparation of the Economic Report.
Secondly they must gather timely and authoritative information concerning economic developments
and economic trends, both current and prospective and must analyze and interpret such information.
Thirdly they must appraise the various programs and activities of the Federal Government in

American Kitefliers Research Paper
Did you know that there is something in the United States called the American Kitefliers Association?
And there s something called competitive stunt kiting. As you might expect, the people who compete
in stunt kiting competitions are interesting folks. At Collectors Weekly, they ve got a profile of
Richard Dermer. He is a pizza shop owner and kite collector. The walls of Dermer s pizza joint are
covered in kites from all over the world. That is impressive enough. But it s not his only
accomplishment. Dermer worked at Hideaways, one of the first pizza places in Oklahoma. It opened
in the late 1950s, when pizza was an exotic food. He bought the joint in 1960. He delivered pizzas in

He told Collectors Weekly: I was very much a novice, but I started learning. And the more we got into
going to kite festivals and collecting kites, the more I discovered and the deeper the subject became.
My kite book library now runs over a hundred volumes. I learn stuff new every time I go to an event.
And I think the kites out in the garage are multiplying when the lights are out. What does Dermer s
collection and hobby bring to the United States? It brings an international perspective and history on
kite flying. In India, for example, kite flying is a fierce. It is a sometimes violent sport. In Thailand,
kite battles reflect the war of the sexes between men and women. Kites were used in World War II.
They were used to distract German planes and for target practice. When Dermer started stunt kiting, it
was pretty new. All the kits were triangular, they all looked about the same. But soon, Dermer told
Collectors Weekly, that changed. In the 80s and 90s, kites went through quite a developmental phase
where they were getting better and better as new lighter, stronger materials were being developed.

However, in this case dissenting opinion was of higher importance than the deciding opinion. The case
was carried on the trail court which gave decision in favour of Ms. Palsgraf, then the case was
appealed at intermediate New York which has also given decision in the favour of Ms. Palsgraf; then it
was taken the court of appeals, highest court in New York which provided the reverse decision and

In this case, the dissenting opinion changed the course of the case, provided new directions but
leading to the formation of new clause under tort law. In this case, question was raised against the
guard position and it was held that as guard did not know anything about the material within the

How Did The Rise Of Islam Influence Western Europe
The rise of Islam brought many important changes to Europe, both physically and culturally. Through
the many conquests of Muhammad and his successors, Muslim dominion, by the middle of the eighth
century, included all of the southern and eastern Mediterranean, as well as Spain. Spain would serve as
a point of invasion for Islamic forces into Western Europe and it would continue to serve as an Islamic
state up until 1492 when its last territory (Granada) fell to Christian forces. Muslim control of the
regions south and east of the Mediterranean led to their domination of the Mediterranean sea and all
the European trade that went on there. All of this contributed to a deep mistrust of Islam from
Europeans, which would make way for the persecutions

Religion In The Elizabethan Era
The two most prevalent religions in the Elizabethan era were Protestantism and Catholicism. When
Queen Mary came into power in 1553, she relentlessly sought out and executed those of the Protestant
belief. She maintained a deep belief in Catholicism until the day she died and Queen Elizabeth began
ruling. Unlike her half sister, Queen Elizabeth ruled the country under the religion of Protestantism.
Rather than mass murdering those who followed the Catholic religion, the Queen chose to make the
religion illegal and use the punishment of fines. This played a major role in why such a large number
of people were conflicted with the choice between their religion and their Queen. Similar issues can be
seen in the works that emerged in this era, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shakespeare s Hamlet depicts how Catholicism influences characters in their daily lives. When
Hamlet speaks to the ghost of his dead father, his father asks his son to remember [him] (1, 5, 25).
Catholics believe in the existence of Purgatory and old Hamlet s request represents this idea. As long
as people remember somebody who is stuck in Purgatory, they will arrive in Heaven. Before he dies,
Hamlet asks Horatio to draw [his] breath in pain to tell [his] story so that citizens would also
remember him (5, 2, 120). The belief in the space between Heaven and Hell is mentioned often
because Catholics also believe that repentance plays a part in where people end up after death.
Claudius reasons with himself that repentance is significant by questioning what can it not [do] when
he reflects on his past actions (3, 3, 70). Shakespeare emphasizes the importance of repenting through
the actions of his characters. This is further explored by Hamlet when he finally decides to kill
Claudius, but cannot because if he attempts to now...he [will go] to heaven because of the Catholic
belief that those who repent before death will go to Heaven. Hamlet references this when he explains
that [Claudius] took [his] father grossly, full of bread, with all his crimes broad blown, as flush as
May, which is the reason why Hamlet s father is stuck in

Essay on The Messianic Idea in Judaism
The Messianic Idea in Judaism
Belief in the eventual coming of the moshiach is a basic and fundamental part of traditional Judaism.
It is part of Rambam s 13 Principles of Faith, the minimum requirements of Jewish belief. In the
Shemoneh Esrei prayer, recited three times daily, we pray for all of the elements of the coming of the
moshiach: ingathering of the exiles; restoration of the religious courts of justice; an end of
wickedness, sin and heresy; reward to the righteous; rebuilding of Jerusalem; restoration of the line of
King David; and restoration of Temple service.
Modern scholars suggest that the messianic concept was introduced later in the history of Judaism,
during the age of the prophets. They note that the messianic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The Moshiach
The moshiach will be a great political leader descended from King David (Jeremiah 23:5). The
moshiach is often referred to as moshiach ben David (moshiach, son of David). He will be well versed
in Jewish law, and observant of its commandments. (Isaiah 11:2 5) He will be a charismatic leader,
inspiring others to follow his example. He will be a great military leader, who will win battles for
Israel. He will be a great judge, who makes righteous decisions (Jeremiah 33:15). But above all, he
will be a human being, not a god, demi god or other supernatural being.
It has been said that in every generation, a person is born with the potential to be the moshiach. If the
time is right for the messianic age within that person s lifetime, then that person will be the moshiach.
But if that person dies before he completes the mission of the moshiach, then that person is not the
moshiach.
When Will the Moshiach Come?
There are a wide variety of opinions on the subject of when the moshiach will come. Some of Judaism
s greatest minds have cursed those who try to predict the time of the moshiach s coming, because
errors in such predictions could cause people to lose faith in the messianic idea or in Judaism itself.
This actually happened in the 17th century, when Shabbatai Tzvi

Nkrumah s Successful and failed policies A great leader of Ghana was not solely known by his name
but people remember him for what he has done for the nation. Kwame Nkrumah led United Gold
Coast Convention (UGCC) to gain support and achieve independence for Ghana in 1957. After a
conflict in party arises Nkrumah splits because he believed that UGCC goal wasn t solely to achieve
independence and formed a new party, the Convention People s Party (CPP). After Nkrumah became
the first Ghana president through his policies and political strategies it helped Ghana exponentially
develop and lead Ghana towards modernization. The period of 1958 1966 would mark as one of the
most critical periods for development for many countries in western Africa and Ghana was amongst
leading countries in rapid industrialization (Week 3, Economic and political development: Slide 7). To
this day, people of Ghana remember Nkrumah not just as the first president but as a great leader for
numerous reasons, mainly for his great deal of contribution in gaining independence and post
independence developments. One of the prominent achievements that Dr. Nkrumah had achieved was
gaining independence from Great Britain through serving as a leader in both UGCC and CPP.

Carpe Diem Poem
Carpe diem is Latin for seize the day and can be translated into YOLO or you only live once in
modern day society. The Passionate Shepherd to His Love written by Christopher Marlowe conveys
this message the best compared to the other mentioned Carpe diem poems due to its tone, syntax and
symbolism. However, the Carpe diem poem To The Virgins, To Make Much of Time written by
Andrew Marvell appears to be least persuasive out of the other Carpe diem poem due to its hasty tone,
figurative language and presumed audience. Also the poems have their similarities due to their diction
and underlying themes along with difference among their conceits and rhyme schemes.

However, throughout the rest of the poem the tone is seen as playful yet serious. Also within those
lines it claims flowers smiles, which is just a personification because we all know that flower do not
smile. The targeted audience for this specific poem would be toward young naive lovers, who would
appear as virgins. These literary factor were not highly supportive of this poem and therefore makes it
less persuasive.
The Passionate Shepherd to His Love has some similarities to To The Virgins, to Make Much Time ,
such as their diction, and underlying theme. For instance, in The Passionate Shepherd to His Love the
diction, or choice and use of words the author conveys is to come live with the protagonist and he will
provide passion within your life. This appears similar to To The Virgins, to Make Much Time message
of give me your virginity and it will be worthwhile within your life. Both poems use diction to
convince their lovers to go with them. However To the Virgins, to Make Much Time is not as soothing
as The Passionate Shepherd to His Love . Both poems share an underlying theme of making the most
of the time presented or seizing the day.
The Passionate Shepherd to His Love also has some differences compared to To The Virgins, to Make
Much Time , essentially its conceits or expression and rhyme

Compare And Contrast Civilization And Western Civilization
The texts, The Western Heritage , and the Western Civilization offer unique perspectives on the birth
of the western civilization through the years predating the 1300s. Both narratives navigate through
thousands of years of history, exploring the political, economic, social and military aspects of the
evolution of the western civilization. Whilst both texts discuss the birth and creation of civilization as
defined by the western world, the readings vary stylistically as well as in their elaborations of the
evolution of society. While their themes of civilization such as religion, and agriculture coincide with

the river, Egyptians were able to develop a complex agricultural system of planting and harvesting,
which allowed for a surplus of crops incomparable to the rest of the ancient world. By having an
advantageous agricultural system, Egypt was able to place their focus elsewhere, allowing for unified
society rather than having individual city states. Under this unified society, religion was the dominant

Access Control For Access Controls
Access control is simply a method that allows or denies the right to use to resources that is deemed to
have a value worth protecting. Access controls define exactly who can interact with what, regarding
what the subject may do during the interaction session. The basis is granting rights and privileges to a
subject with respect to an object.
Access controls must be rooted in good policies and procedures with strong tools to implement them.
To ensure complete protection of resources access controls are split up into two different phases. The
first phase is about forming a strong access control policy to layout the ground work for the rest of the
organizations policies .This phase of access controls should at least address which subjects have
access to varying degrees of sensitive systems and data, for what reason, and for how long.
Authorization is the process that drives the operation of this phase. Policy enforcement is the next
phase granting or rejecting access based on authorization of the policy definition phase. To guarantee
enforcement of policies this phase is split up into three distinct operations: identification,
authentication, and accountability.
Well reasoned authorization is the fundamental building blocks of formidable access controls.
Regulating the access to resources is crucial for the success of an organization. Developing clear and
concise policies will insure the prevention of security breaches from happening, as long as they firmly
adhered to. These

Telecommuting, remote work,[1] or telework is a work arrangement in which employees do not
commute to a central place of work. A person who telecommutes is known as a telecommuter ,
teleworker , and sometimes as a home sourced, or work at home employee. Many telecommuters work
from home, while others, sometimes called nomad workers , use mobile telecommunications
technology to work from coffee shops or other locations. According to a Reuters poll, approximately
one in five workers around the globe, particularly employees in the Middle East, Latin America and
Asia, telecommute frequently and nearly 10 percent work from home every day .[2] Today, as annual
leave or vacation is today seen as absence from the workplace rather than ceasing work,
telecommuting is used by office employees to work while on vacation.

The Is An Innate Characteristic Of Humans
Curiosity is an innate characteristic of humans. Why are we here? How did life start? What happened
at the beginning of time? How does everything fit together? These are seminal questions that plagued
our ancestors and currently plague us. Answering these seemingly impossible questions is the role of
science, specifically physics, in humanity. At the beginning of the quest to understand the universe in
its entirety was Aristotle and his Aristotelian physics. While in the future Aristotelian physics would
turn out to be completely incorrect, his original ideas and theories were paramount in the development
of modern science, and are evident in a wide array of fields. However, it was not until humanity
accepted the flaws in Aristotelian physics that humanity made any progress toward more fully
understanding the laws of the universe. While Aristotelian physics was entirely wrong in a multitude
of ways, it was still needed to form a basis for the modern method of discovery, as well as a shift from
logic based theories to observation based theories. Furthermore, the majority of theories in the history
of science are, at first, incorrect. Historically, the process of error discovery has been the main method
of progression in the sciences. This process is observed from theory of universal gravitation to the
theory of general relativity, and from statistical mechanics and thermodynamics to the theory of
quantum mechanics. The cycle of theorizing and rejecting is a necessity to the

Foundation of Mythology Short Answers
It s a Myth. A term commonly used today but what does it mean? It is a term used to describe the
questions humans cannot answer such as the explanation of the meaning of the universe or why we are
here. Myths reflect human nature, with its needs and desires, hopes and fears (Rosenberg, 2006).
Academically myths are studied to understand the anthropology of past cultures. My definition of a
myth is tales or stories passed down from generation to generation that gives us our beliefs and
guiding principles which we use to determine how we will interact with the world.

Religion and mythology are intertwined as many cultural religious beliefs were and are based on
mythological stories. The bible is a historical pass down of stories or myths as it relates to Christianity.
These myths or religious teachings are important to humans and their ability to cope with their daily
tribulations because it gives them a sense of someone or something greater than them that they hope
will guide them through whatever they are dealing with. This was evident with prisoner of war who
initially went into captivity as atheists and found out they needed to believe in something greater and
came out of captivity having found some type of religion.
Mythology still holds a place in today s contemporary pop culture because if you look at the things
people do in their lives you will still see mythological influences in them. Such as, a newlywed couple
may have dreams of the stereotypical desire of a large house, large family with the proverbial white
picket fence around it. This couple may not have ever experienced any of that yet cultures has passed
down the idea of that being the pinnacle of a successful marriage and family and if you get that, than
you are almost guaranteed happiness. The truth is that many will never reach anything close to that
because of external in internal changes to that couple. Although in American society today, we assume
people are more educated and less

  • 2. The Four Characters Of Beowulf And Modern Day Heros There are two basic types of heroesheros. Some heroes Heros take the direct approach and overcome obstacles with raw power and strength, both physical and moral. Others use their intelligence along with trickery and ruthlessness. It is hard for a hero to take a more direct approach than Beowulf. For example, he rips Grendel s arm right out of its socket! He also shows moral strength by being champion of the values of his society. There are also some other things that can differentiate two types heros. The first the type that sees killing as the only solution to a problem, and the second is one that sees killing as the last possible option and tries to resolve the situation diplomatically. This is what mainly contrasts Beowulf from modern ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... None of them expected he would ever see his homeland again or get back to his native place and the people who reared him. Beowulf leaves his homeland to take down Grendel, and eventually Grendel s mother. Luke left his home to fight the empire who killed his family and to fight to save the people he cared about. Beowulf also is granted mystical weapons along his journey such as when Unferth lends Beowulf Hrunting, a sword that has never failed and has been passed down in Unferth s family, also Luke Skywalker is granted a mystical weapon by Obi wan Kenobi called a lightsaber. But the things that really separate Beowulf from the two modern heros I have described are the values of the time periods these stories were written. Like how Beowulf s only solution to a problem is killing the problem. Whereas in Star Wars, Luke is able to coax the good out of his father (his enemy) by refusing to fight. This makes Luke Skywalker a modern hero. Beowulf would never do anything like this. The Values shown in Star Wars reflects the values of America after the Vietnam War they re vastly different from the values of Anglo Saxon, which the Epic Beowulf is based off of. • 3. Pttm s Pathological Determortem Diagnosis PTTM is a highly fatal, rare complication from metastatic carcinoma. Von Herbay et al. first described the disease in 1990 after a review of 630 consecutive autopsy cases of carcinoma (8). Of the 21 cases, gastric carcinoma was the most prevalent. Although less prevalent, malignancies of lung, breast, prostate, and colon, among others were noted during the study (8). An antermortem diagnosis is challenging due to the rapidly progressive pulmonary hypertension and right side heart failure. However, PTTM has pathological, radiological, and clinical characteristics that can help aid an antermortem diagnosis. In order to assess PTTM s pathological characteristics antermortem, a lung biopsy is required. A histological assessment from a lung biopsy is the most accurate method of diagnosis; however, the patients are usually too hypoxic upon discovery to perform a lung biopsy. In which case, a pathological diagnosis can only be made postmortem. Although, antermortem and postmortem investigations will inspect for the same determining factors histologically. PTTM is defined by the activation of fibroceullular intimal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Several cases of PTTM have shown distinct radiological imaging characteristics that should be used to influence a diagnosis. The mediastinal views of a chest CT angiogram should indicate multiple mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathies, along with right side heart failure displayed from the flattening of the interventricular septum (4, 5). Centrilobular nodules and tree in bud images are also radiological indicators of PTTM (4). Additionally, the chest CT angiogram should not show signs of a pulmonary embolism, which is a common suspicion during the clinical investigation of PTTM (2, 3). However, radiological characteristics are not as definitive as pathological aspects and should be coupled with high suspicion from clinical characteristics ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Book Report On The Japanese Tales In the Japanese Tales, translated by Royall Tyler, the observation that snakes function as agents of karma is valid. In order to teach this Buddhist theme, snakes can be portrayed with a broad range of abilities and personalities to maintain a system of cosmic justice. Consequently, the imagery of snakes is seen as complex and paradoxical from tale to tale through their ways of delivering justices. However, snakes are not only agents of karma, but can also be agents to teach the consequence of sexual desires. This essay will show the complex characterization of snakes in order to express the consequences for certain behaviors such as dishonesty, lack of devotion to Buddhism, and lust. While snakes are seen as agents of karma in Red Heat, they are also portrayed as a creature with strong vengeful and evil personality toward those who express dishonesty and lack of devotion to Buddhist vows. As illustrated in Red Heat, a pair of monks sets themselves up for karmic repercussions by accepting hospitality from a lustful widow. This gives a chance for the widow to target one of the monks to be her sexual partner, which placed the monk in a situation to commit more misdeeds. The monks behavior demonstrates a lack of devotion to protecting their vow to remain in chaste, which was to stay away from sexual interactions with women (Tyler 160). When the sexual pursuit occurred, the monk told the widow, If I suddenly break my vow, we ll suffer (Tyler 160). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As leaders and trainers for the KSARNG it is imperative we build and sustain a ready force. The Regiment must continue to grow internally by recruiting highly qualified NCOs and officers to serve as trainers and support personnel. All Regimental Soldiers will be trained, ready, and qualified in their duty MOS or Area of Concentration (AOC). Safety, fourth priority: The focus on safety begins at the lowest level. Leaders need to mitigate risk by creating a safe environment for training events conducted at the KSRTI. Our major training events bring together Soldiers from across the nation without a common organizational safety attitude, and thus present a unique risk. We must aggressively attack this issue at all levels within the Regiment and all leaders must understand that safety is incorporated in our culture. 2. Commander s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Importance Of Organising A Local Live Music Event Four piece indie rock band The Reveurs reached out to promoters to assemble a live music event celebrating the release of new single, Control. The process of organising a local live music event involved various procedures, personnel, strategies and considerations. This document clarifies the preparation of the launch, supported by industry resources and the development of accordance. The project was conceived seven weeks prior to the event by headlining band, The Reveurs. Band members had a preconceived idea of what they expected from the event. Due to the nature of the event, it was most appropriate to book a promoter who would manage all elements rather than paying a sizable fee to an event management company. The promoter was expected to examine and determine all of the clients requirements through briefing. Asking too few questions or not listening adequately to a client s answers can compromise the success of the event you plan (Entrepreneur Press, 2010, p.28). Arguably, the interaction between the client and the promoter is the most vital due to the communication between the two parties being the starting point of the project. Various factors were of greater importance such as the purpose and date of the event, whilst other factors were subject to compromise. Any event serves to gather a crowd with a common interest and in the case of a musical experience, the musicians serve to entertain an audience. You can live without your spleen, if the removal of the spleen is a necessity, the other organs in the body adapt and increase their ability to fight infection and remove redundant red blood cells. The spleen is divided into two main compartments, red pulp and white pulp. surrounded by a dense fibrous covering called the splenic capsule. White pulp, is the infeciton combating lymphoid tissue where white blood cells are produced and mature. This pulp is made up of periarteriolar lymphoid sheathes, and lymphatic nodules. The sheathes surround central arteries within the spleen and contain T lypmhocytes that attack foreign bodies as blood is filtered into the spleen. Although to some degree this is true, I believe that if a criminal is going to commit any capital crime his or her first thought is how can I get away with this? Most criminal may not even think about getting caught. For me this statement applies to the mentally ill convicts, which is one of the reasons why I m against the death penalty. Besides the execution of an mentally ill person these are the reasons why I oppose the death penalty the death penalty is racist, the death penalty is cruel and unusual punishment, the death penalty is not a deterrent to violent crime, the death penalty condemns the innocent to die, and the death penalty punishes the poor. The death penalty is a punishment to execute, which is overseen to someone who is legally convicted of a capital crime. In my opinion the objective of the death penalty is an eye for an eye for both the justice system and the victim family. Some people may consider it as a lesson, which ultimately only a person who understands they have done wrong can learn from that lesson. A mentally ill person doesn t have the mentality to understand the real world and what is going on around them, because of their symptoms. • 12. Nicolas Poussin s The Plague At Ashdod The Plague at Ashdod is Nicolas Poussin s most frequently studied and celebrated plague paintings of the seventeenth century. The painting represents the Old Testament story from passages in the First Book of Samuel. According to the scriptures, the Philistines had stolen the Ark of the Covenant and brought it to the statue of Dagon. This angered God and he plagued the citizens of Ashdod with tumors and swarmed the territory with rats. In 1630, while Poussin worked on the painting, Italy was stricken with the worst outbreak of the bubonic plague. This had a major influence on his depiction of the Old Testament story. Sheila Barker s Poussin, Plague, and Early Modern Medicine offers the beliefs surrounding Poussin s medical and spiritual knowledge of the plague. Electronic Technology For Curriculum Observation Electronic Technology for Curriculum Observation Documentation Michelle Valladares MGMT 7003 December 4, 2014 Many childcare centres in North America have introduced technology as a natural element of the classroom. Young learners have become part of the iGeneration in which the use of technology comes to be a natural way of learning, interacting with others and making sense of the world (Pellerin, 2012). In regards to documentation and assessment, there have been different digital tools that are creating a new way of evaluating and observing how children learn. According to research by Pellerin (2012), assessment for the 21st century learning and teaching requires a shift from assessment of learning toward assessment strategies for learning. In order for teachers to understand assessment strategies for learning they must see documentation under a new digital perspective. Documentation now includes gathering of tangible evidence from a variety of means such as learning stories, photographs, video and audio recordings of the students learning process (ELECT, 2007). Effective documentation will not only gather information but also tell a story and purpose of an event, experience, or development. The Passionate Shepherd to His Love written by Christopher Marlowe conveys this message the best compared to the other mentioned Carpe diem poems due to its tone, syntax and symbolism. However, the Carpe diem poem To The Virgins, To Make Much of Time written by Andrew Marvell appears to be least persuasive out of the other Carpe diem poem due to its hasty tone, figurative language and presumed audience. With the aid of the river, Egyptians were able to develop a complex agricultural system of planting and harvesting, which allowed for a surplus of crops incomparable to the rest of the ancient world. By having an advantageous agricultural system, Egypt was able to place their focus elsewhere, allowing for unified society rather than having individual city states. Under this unified society, religion was the dominant factor, leading to one of the world s first theocracies, as well as some of the western civilization s greatest dynastic rulers. Although Egypt s unified state allowed for it to become one of the most highly developed civilizations of the western world, it also led to its destruction. • 35. Access Control For Access Controls Access control is simply a method that allows or denies the right to use to resources that is deemed to have a value worth protecting. Access controls define exactly who can interact with what, regarding what the subject may do during the interaction session. The basis is granting rights and privileges to a subject with respect to an object. Access controls must be rooted in good policies and procedures with strong tools to implement them. To ensure complete protection of resources access controls are split up into two different phases. The first phase is about forming a strong access control policy to layout the ground work for the rest of the organizations policies .This phase of access controls should at least address which subjects have access to varying degrees of sensitive systems and data, for what reason, and for how long. Authorization is the process that drives the operation of this phase. Policy enforcement is the next phase granting or rejecting access based on authorization of the policy definition phase. To guarantee enforcement of policies this phase is split up into three distinct operations: identification, authentication, and accountability. • 37. The Is An Innate Characteristic Of Humans Curiosity is an innate characteristic of humans. Why are we here? How did life start? What happened at the beginning of time? How does everything fit together? These are seminal questions that plagued our ancestors and currently plague us. Answering these seemingly impossible questions is the role of science, specifically physics, in humanity. At the beginning of the quest to understand the universe in its entirety was Aristotle and his Aristotelian physics. While in the future Aristotelian physics would turn out to be completely incorrect, his original ideas and theories were paramount in the development of modern science, and are evident in a wide array of fields. However, it was not until humanity accepted the flaws in Aristotelian physics that humanity made any progress toward more fully understanding the laws of the universe. While Aristotelian physics was entirely wrong in a multitude of ways, it was still needed to form a basis for the modern method of discovery, as well as a shift from logic based theories to observation based theories. Furthermore, the majority of theories in the history of science are, at first, incorrect. Historically, the process of error discovery has been the main method of progression in the sciences. This process is observed from theory of universal gravitation to the theory of general relativity, and from statistical mechanics and thermodynamics to the theory of quantum mechanics. A term commonly used today but what does it mean? It is a term used to describe the questions humans cannot answer such as the explanation of the meaning of the universe or why we are here. Myths reflect human nature, with its needs and desires, hopes and fears (Rosenberg, 2006). Academically myths are studied to understand the anthropology of past cultures. The bible is a historical pass down of stories or myths as it relates to Christianity. These myths or religious teachings are important to humans and their ability to cope with their daily tribulations because it gives them a sense of someone or something greater than them that they hope will guide them through whatever they are dealing with. This was evident with prisoner of war who initially went into captivity as atheists and found out they needed to believe in something greater and came out of captivity having found some type of religion. Mythology still holds a place in today s contemporary pop culture because if you look at the things people do in their lives you will still see mythological influences in them. Such as, a newlywed couple may have dreams of the stereotypical desire of a large house, large family with the proverbial white picket fence around it. This couple may not have ever experienced any of that yet cultures has passed down the idea of that being the pinnacle of a successful marriage and family and if you get that, than you are almost guaranteed happiness. The truth is that many will never reach anything close to that because of external in internal changes to that couple.
