Self-Collection Methods
I do not believe self reports are necessarily the most accurate or liable methods for gauging
criminal behavior, but I do believe that they are still an essential aspect for recording delinquent
criminality. As with any of the crime data collection methods explained within the book, they all
have respective strengths and weaknesses. Self report surveys, include crimes that went unreported,
juvenile substance abuse, and an offender s personal characteristics and information. As valuable
as these statistics may be, to obtain such information we are forced to rely on the honesty of
offenders and omit offenders who refuse or are unable, as consequences of incarceration, to
participate (and who therefore may be the most delinquent) (Siegel Pg.

Public Art in the United Arab Emirates
Public art is the art that has been planned to of being staged in public and its usually outdoor, it
can be carved sculpture, cast or built or painted. What s special about public art is the way how it
is made, the place where it is and what meaning it has behind it. Public art can express community
value or describe a cultural related point, and its placed in public for everyone to see. Public artis a
reflection of how the artistsees the world and response to his time and space. In this essay, I want to
review about how the public art reflects the traditional culture.
As an example of public art in the UAE, is the camel caravan. It is a sculpture of a camel that is
painted with colorful different shapes. There is several camels caravan located around the place,
and each of them has a different unique style. I believe that public art should be reflective of
traditional culture. The camel caravan also has a reflection on the cultural side that camels are
very common and a known animal in the UAE. Public art strategies help to uncover and enhance
the implied identity, the value, the unique meaning and the character of the social and physical
form of a community or a society, the community s character and sense of space reflects this
identity. The person s sense of space always develops over time while reflecting the shade of his
social values around and within the community. The character of a community will be reflected by
its cultural narrative space of a place. The

A Report On A Government
A government should always be open to criticism, be held accountable for their actions, and be
honest when notifying the public of any events. This creates government transparency and allows
its citizens to hold their leaders accountable for their actions. In order to create this transparency in
today s society, a technical system must be set in place. This technical system needs to contain
governmentdocuments which are easily accessible to the public. But, not all documents should be
housed in this accessible database. Some government knowledge should be kept secret and
inaccessible, because it could fall into the wrong hands. Documents containing economic
information, such as budgets and spending should be readily available on a database for the public
to access. Without a transparent government, citizens can become unruly and no longer trust their
government due to the high volume of secrets or hidden documentation.
Solution I My first solution to this issue is to open a cloud database which would house any
documents containing government budgets, spending, and/or salaries. This database would be
accessible to everyone with the means to access a cloud database. The database could be accessed
via an application downloaded onto a computer or mobile phone. There is already an app with
these specifications available for Montgomery County in Maryland. The app was built by Socrata, a
Seattle based cloud software company, in order to encourage citizen engagement within their

Pagan And Heathens Stereotypes Essay
3.) The common stereotypes that alternative religious groups have, is that they are considered to
be witches. Others say that they have a pack with the devil in some way. Another stereotype is
that they are considered to be baby eaters; they tend to listen to rock music, wear black clothes.
Pagans tend to work with black magic to cast spells on others. Also, that they were once Christian
who turns rebels, ignorance, and that they lack of knowledge. The people that they hang around are
the same group of people that are considered lonely, Emo or Gothic looks, etc. They said that these
people cut themselves, and/or commit suicide. They are also bullied by others. Another stereotype
towards Pagans is that people think that they are drug addicts. The truth about these stereotypes for
Pagans and Heathens is that in reality, one hundred percent is truly false. Pagans and Heathens do
have foundations in reality. For example the beauty of Mother Nature, they depend... Show more

A Blot is a ritual where sacrifices are made to their Gods and ancestors. In this ritual they use a
horn filled by mead, which is pass around. As the horn is being passed around(it also get energy
through every one), they each raise the horn to honor the God or Goddess and drink from the
horn, and then it is pour onto the earth as sacrifice for the God or Goddess. Now if the person is
to be sick instead of drinking from the horn he or she would kiss the rim. What this means is that
if they give a gift (mead) in return they will have their blessings. Blots have changed over time
due to the laws that were made, and for economic purposes. One thing that they change was the
sacrifices. They use to sacrificed goats, cattle, sheep, and sometimes humans, but now a day, the

Invisalign Research Paper
Goal: Help reader decide if Invisalign is right for them
Total Words in this Document:
Title: Is Invisalign Right for You?
Straight teeth are associated with everything from a better social life, better employment
opportunities, and a higher self esteem. Even so, there is typically hesitation from most adults who
do not want the time and financial expense necessary to invest in braces, especially when their first
thought turns to traditional metal braces. New technology, though, like Invisalign, has helped to
make straight teeth a possibility for individuals who want discreet and effective treatment options.

Challenges of Invisalign
For the treatment to be successful, patients need to commit to wearing the aligning trays for the pre
set number of hours each day. Without wearing the trays, patients won t have see the anticipated in
the expected time period.
The trays need to be removed for eating, drinking, and some sports, while traditional braces are
affixed to the teeth and not removed until the end of treatment.
Every two weeks, patients will have a new series of trays. Visits to the provider won t happen that
frequently, but they will need to be regularly checked to make sure the teeth are moving into the
proper places.
There are a few cases in which Invisalign is not the best method to treat or correct a dental
condition.
Often, Invisalign has a higher cost involved than traditional braces, however, there can be, and are,
many exceptions.
Invisalign is regularly updating and improving the technology, and dentists and orthodontists who
are not regularly staying informed on the improvements may have a more challenging time
achieving the desired results.

Pros And Cons Of The Election Of 2016
Since the very beginning of the United States, Presidential Elections have happened every 4
years. Throughout time certain elections have occurred during difficult times in history, such as
war and economic depressions. Elections tend to follow certain patterns regarding political issues
and candidates tend to fit into archetypes based on the issues at that time. The election of 2016
resembles the election of 1980 based on how the candidates were portrayed by the media and how
the candidates were received by the public. The Presidential Election of 2016 will go down in
history as one of the most controversial elections the United States has ever witnessed. Both

...They are both great public performers, both demonstrate ideological flexibility in their public

taking into consideration that both Trump and Reagan were best known for their Hollywood

that Trump and Reagan are alike when you consider their backgrounds and their base of supporters
(Ryan 1 ). When comparing Hillary Clinton to Richard Nixon there are also many similarities.
...Like Nixon, Clinton was unable to appease the fears in her own party that she is fundamentally

Overview of the Natural Gas Industry
Natural Gas Industry Employee
Cover Letter
I am currently working as a natural gas regulator assistant inspector on a full time basis. Basically
this position required me to work in a formal apprenticeship, and I was trained and became
familiarized with all the important particulars of this job.
What my trainers made very clear to me is the importance of workers in the natural gas industry
having a deep understanding of all the implications relating to safety. There have been some
catastrophic explosions due to leaking gas pipelines in recent years, and energy companies want to
hire people that are very alert, intelligent, and who are willing to learn and be good listeners during
training and once on the job.
I am one of those quality employees. I feel fortunate to have this position, and moreover, I have
conducted research into the industry giving particular attention to the specifics of my own job,
duties and responsibilities and I present that information through this report. Learning well,
following directions, and being competent are things my family taught me, and I do believe I am
well suited for my position and will be able to climb the ladder and be given more responsibility
as time goes by and my supervisors become confident in my aptitude and my work ethic.
Abstract
The position of a natural gas regulator assistant inspector is a very important position because in
addition to the quality assurance and economic aspects, there are important safety aspects

Effects Of The Criminalization Of Alcohol On America...
Introduction
This essay aims to show that if alcohol is legal, cannabis should be also. To do so I will compare
the effects both substances have on the health of their users. I will then examine how much
scientific evidence has been used when criminalizing marijuana and whether that evidence is still
applicable today. Finally, I will analyze the effects of the criminalization of alcohol in America
during the 1920s. I will use this case to show that the misguided prohibition of alcohol is
comparable to the current marijuana laws. Though the situation was in a different social setting
(and I will go over that as well), I will endeavor to show that, in the same was as it was in 1933,
legalization not only provides a healthier lifestyle for users, but also breaks down the criminal
organizations that profit from it.
Existing Laws in the UK
The current drug laws that are in effect in the UK are those set forth in the Drugs Misuse Act of
1971. The act separates illegal drugs into A, B and C classes; A being the most harmful drugs
and therefore the most heavily penalised, and C being the least. Marijuana is currently qualified
as a class C drug, after it was advised by Proffesor Sir Michael Rawlins, Chairman of the
Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, to be reduced from class B in 2002. The report
contained a re examination of the health and social risks of the drug, and within the cover letter
states The council believes that the current classification of cannabis is

In Our Time by Ernest Hemingway
In Our Time, written by Ernest Hemingway, is a collection of short stories that were published in
1925 and defined Hemingway s writing style from there on. As a symbolic image of Hemingway
himself, Nick Adams is faced with troubling relationships that ultimately define who he is. Life
experiences from young to old define show how Nick lives his love before, during, and after World
War One. These experiences strengthen his relationships, maturity, and masculinity. One of the
most important themes, masculinity, is portrayed directly at the start of Hemingway s short story
collection starting with Indian Camp. In the first short story the reader sees the novels protagonist,
Nick Adams, response to violence and suffering inflicted on others will ultimately define his own
sense of masculinity (Frazier). Witnessing this dramatic event at such a young age will define
Nick s life and change the way he views certain aspects of life just from watching a woman give
birth. Nick s maturity and responsibility are also themes that are greatly exploited just as well as
his masculinity. The reader first learns about Nick and his relationships with his girlfriend Marjorie
in the short story titled The End of Something. The title of this section symbolically relates to what
is happening because Nick and Marjorie get into an argument which seems to end their relationship.
Lisa Tyler states what Hemingway seems to be suggesting in In Our Timeis that men s characters are

Public Outcry For Reform And Government Intervention
Power: The Growing Discourse in America
America was built upon the belief that Power and Wealth lead to success in society. The
distribution of power in the United States, specifically its centralization, is a topic of major debate
do to public outcry for reform and government intervention. In regards to social, political, or
economic subjects, change is not only profoundly desired, but also greatly needed.
Social conflicts in society are about as often as seeing a leave in a dense forest. The debate about
power, however, is interesting because it is not only a reoccurring issues in America, but also leads
to debates about other subjects. One of these subjects is gun control. The argument is whether or

An example from modern entertainment that supports the argument against the centralization of
power is the movie, The Wolf of Wall Street by Martin Scorsese. This movie explores the life of
Jordan Belfort, a stock broker in New York whose life falls into a collapse due to his immense
wealth and power. This connects to the argument against centralized power because it illustrates
through the media of film how centralized power can lead to corruption of a person s morals and
well being. Power, in this case, ultimately resulted in the collapse of everything in Belfort s social
life.
Along with the social aspects of life here in America, politics are also affected by corruption due to
the concentration of power. Famous rapper and notorious celebrity, Kanye West, dedicated a song
to the subject of power and its negative effect on the world of politics, properly named Power . West
states, ...the abomination of Obama s nation... to reference the corruption of politics in America.
This connects to the argument against the concentration of power by alluding to the fact that once
Barack Obama became president, his power led to America being put into a state of pure disgust.

Romeo is completely to blame for the tragic outcome in the play.
William Shakespeare s play Romeo and Juliet is without doubt one of the most well known love
story. Throughout the five acts of the play, one tragedy follows another, with the famous suicide of
Romeo and Juliet as a tragic conclusion. Throughout the play, it may seem that Romeo caused these
events to unfold, however it is unjust to say that he bears all responsibility for the tragedy. The
decisions, actions and circumstances that other characters made and faced have also contributed to
the tragic outcome. Nevertheless, it is also in the hands of fate that destined the immature deaths of

However, chance and misfortune could ve been factors giving fate a helping hand. It could be
by chance that Romeo and Juliet were to meet at the ball. And it was unfortunate that the letter
could not reach Romeo as there is a plague spreading and Friar John was forbidden to leave
Verona. Before they were born Romeo and Juliet were chosen as agents of fate, and that it would
be a death marked love . Romeo himself admits that he is driven by fate: I fear too early for my
mind misgives / Some consequences yet hanging in the stars (Act1 Scene4 Lines106 107).
However, even if Romeo and Juliet did not meet at the Capulets ball, fate could make the star
crossed lovers meet at another time, as an important task has to be fulfilled as the result of this
death mark d love .
Another major factor in the play is the family feud between the Capulets and the Montagues.
Without the feud, the young lovers may be together and may not have to act is such desperation
that had driven them to commit suicide. The feud has a direct impact on the actions characters
decide from the very beginning, thus, it is another important deciding factor regarding the outcome
of the play.
Because both Romeo and Juliet feel intense passion for each other, they behave in a very hasty and
dangerous manner. And despite Friar Lawrence s warning to Romeo: Wisely and slow, they

Analysis of the Sociological Theories
The four sociological theories are (1) Functionalisms, (2) Conflict Theory, (3) Symbolic Interaction
and (4) rational choice.
Functionalism believes that each part of society works in its own way and that the whole is
interrelated so that one feeds into the other and the whole works together harmoniously as a unit.
The government, for instance, provides education and libraries for its citizens and citizens, in turn,
pay taxes to the government so that the whole country profits. Schools provide education for
children, and families depend upon schools to provide education so that children will become
employable. The children, in turn, become literate, law abiding citizens who grow up to become
productive citizens in their won way. In this way, each segment of society interacts to work together
as a cohesive whole providing stability and productivity.
Conflict Theory
Society is in a perpetual state of conflict with bourgeois, or propertied class, exploiting the workers.
Society is in a conflict, constantly changing, negative state. Conflict theory is the opposite of
functionalism in that it sees conflict as being the personification of every single segment of society.
This includes race, religion, gender, politics, and economy. Powerful people are wrestling with and
exploiting the weaker and under privileged and unequal groups usually have conflicting values that
cause competition and conflict. This results in the constantly changing face of history.

The Transformation Of Metamorphosis In Franz Kafka s The...
In Franz Kafka s novella, The Metamorphosis, the main character Gregor Samsa awakes from his
sleep transformed into a bug. As the story develops, not only does Gregor go through the phases
of a metamorphosis but also his family especially his sister Grete. If the novella is about hope,
then it would explain the actions and plot lines introduced to the reader. What is Grete s
metamorphosis? How does she bring new hope to the Samsa family? Is the hope found within
the tragic transformation of Gregor? When I first read the book the only metamorphosis that I
examined was that of Gregor s, however, as I began to analyze each paragraph deeply, Grete s
metamorphosis came into light and revealed a whole new meaning for the title. Grete
transformed from being a young and respectful daughter to being an independent and spiteful
one. At the beginning of the novella, Grete is first introduced like many other characters, she is
the voice behind a wall; on the right side the sister began to sob (17). Kafka allows the reader to
assume that Grete is an anxious and overdramatic person, Grete begins to cry just because
Gregor won t open his door. Kafka again establishes Grete s melodramatic personality with the
use of free indirect speech, And why was she crying? (17). Even though Grete was a childish girl
at the beginning of the story, she was also very caring towards Gregor even after he had shown
himself to the world; But he could never guessed what his sister in her kindness [...] to test his
likings, she brought him a big selection (26). As the novella develops Grete grows as a woman,
and her personality matures. Grete now has taken over Gregor s family duties, and her stature in
the family has risen, We have to get rid of it (47). The use of direct speech gives Grete more
authority than her parents which gives her a lot of independence not only does Grete have more
independence but she also has become more spiteful towards Gregor; At last! to her parents as
she turned the key in the lock (49). The locking of the door shows the reader that Grete no longer
cares for Gregor and has realized that he was a considerable burden. Grete s evolution of actions
from start to end in the novella demonstrates her

The Creation Story Of Islam And The Three Creation Stories
Everyone has their perspective on how the universe came to be; their beliefs are all based on
creation stories that have passed down through generations. The three creation stories that will be
analysed are the modern Islamic creation story, the indigenous Maori creation myth and the
emerging story of Thor.
The creation of the world in Islam s perspective begins with Allah God creating the heavens and the
earth all within six days. He then created the sun, the moon and the planets with each their own
term of existence. Allah created the entire universe with water as well as animals. After doing so, he
created the first man Adam from clay. God then told his angels including Shayб№ДЃn (the devil,
who was the only angel made of fire) to bow down to Adam. All of the angels obeyed except for
Shayб№ДЃn who refused to do so, claiming that he was more powerful because he was fire and
Adam was made of clay, which caused Allah to become conflicted with the devil thus banishing him
from heaven. Shayб№ДЃn then decided to create hell to challenge God s people (humans) and
influence them to go against God and go to hell instead of heaven. The second human created
was Eve aka Hawwa that came from Adam s right rib, she was a mate for him that had the same
nature and soul. Before Adam and Eve lived on earth, Jinns (Allah s creation of spirits, similar to
genies) used to live on planet earth. Adam and Eve were banished to earth after eating a forbidden
fruit that the devil influenced them to eat.

Mary Shelley And Emily Bronte Literary Analysis
The works of Mary Shelley and Emily Bronte have been delegated works of art for quite a long
time, and they hold a solid attach to the components of the scholarly periods that they were
composed in. What s more Frankenstein, composed by Mary Shelley, and Wuthering Heights,
composed by Emily Bronte, are both gothic fictionbooks. Moreover, both plots are both loaded with
twists and turns making a tension that is encased with gothic components. Shelley and Bronte both
use high feelings, extraordinary events, and climate to highlight gothic components while utilizing
allegories and striking symbolism to accomplish that.
All through their books, these two writers put an adoration story between embraced kin into their
pages. Both Shelley and Bronte utilize that sentimental affection between kin to enlighten the high
feelings that is available in all characters. In Frankenstein, Victor is enamored with his cousin

Consequences Of The Treaty Of Versailles
The Failed Treaty The Treaty of Versailles was an imbroglio of spite, harsh terms, and creating
more problems than solving old ones. At this end we could see the Treaty of Versailles as a more

conflict. The world knew the Treaty had failed with the collapse of the League of Nations, the
Great Depression, and the rise of Nazism and the resulting invasion of Poland. The Treaty of
Versailleswas a mockery of what Woodrow Wilson had wanted for the betterment of the world
and the longevity of world peace. But the Triple Entente had different views on the

Cuban Migration
In order to understand the complex relationship that Cuba has with the United States and the nature
of Cuban American immigrant communities that exist in South Florida, it is necessary to first
understand the unique circumstances that led to the large influx of Cuban immigrants.
For many Cubans the Batista government was simply a puppet regime with the puppet masters
being wealthy Americans. This was because his economic policies favoured foreign investors and
did little for the development of domestic industries, which resulted in the wealth of the country
being concentrated in the hands of a wealthy white minority. Consequently, in the 1950s, this harsh
regime caused political resistance to reach to its boiling point. In response to these ... Show more

Prior to the development of Cuban American communities, 1940 census reflected the population of
South Florida being 172,172. Approximately 99.9% of the population spoke English and over 92%
of the population was white. The growth of Cuban American communities in South Florida
drastically altered this demography. Today, Florida is now the third largest state in the nation, with
more than 20 million people in 2015. Florida s growth can best be termed a population boom
facilitated by a series of migration. Although migration from other northern states continues to be a
major contributor to population growth, international migration plays a more important role,
particularly in the south. According to the Pew Research Center 2015 statistical profile of
Hispanics of Cuban origin, there is an estimated 2 million who live in the United States. This
accounts for 3.7 percent of the overall Latino population. Cuban Americans are the most regionally
concentrated, with approximately 70 percent residing in South Florida. This change in demography
has also carried linguistic implications. The first wave of immigrants who arrived in the United
States all thought that they were in temporary exile and it was only a matter of time before the new
government was overthrown and they would be able to return to their island home. Consequently,
unlike many other immigrant groups they made little attempts to assimilate in the United States,
instead they maintained their culture, customs and more importantly their language. Therefore, in
the late 1900s Spanish speakers comprised over 1/3 of the population SAY MORE

Yang Vs Plato
Both of the creation myths, Chinese Yin and Yang and Greek Plato s Story of Timaeus, describe a
way of how the world came to be, therefore establishing the culture behind both of the myths.
Together they help to explain how both religion and society developed. In the Chinese myth during
creation, Yin and Yang strive to come together and create the first human. This was a huge step in
the direction of the constructing the universeand coming together as a whole. In Plato s story, he
creates the cosmos, which is the foundation for explaining how religionand the world was

In the Chinese myth of Yin and Yang, the elements are used in a cycle of keeping the universe at
the level of stability needed. They are in the universe to create and destroy one another, thus
keeping the universe in balance. They will forever be there to keep this balance instead of just
being created from the creation of the universe like in Greek mythology. In the Greek myth of
Plato s story, the cultural elements of the myth were used to create the universe and have a
stable place for people to live. It does not cycle between them all once they are created, instead
they are just simply bound together in the universe for a steady world. Each component was
simply used in proportion to what else was added to the population, such as air needed for people

elements are supporting one another, they were added for different reasons and meant for either an

Throughout the play of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof various members of the family are at loggerheads.
However, this comes to a climax in this passage as Big Daddy s imminent death is confirmed
and the question of the heir to the estate becomes an important issue. The Oxford Companion to
American Literature describes the play as depicting bitter, abnormal family tensions . These

In one sense, the PRMC does get the expected results. First, they had already listed 15 albums

Why Is Law Enforcement Important
Law Enforcement
Angela Primiano
CRJ 201
Instructor: Donald Mason

Every society has rules to go by and laws that must not be broken and along with that is the criminal
justice that even gives the criminal rights. Criminals in the United States are to be given their rights
and not to have harm to them in any way under the justice system as they may be freed from their
prosecution and their case be acquitted if found in their favor if an act of unjust or immoral conduct
has been found. Law enforcement professionals must execute justice by upholding the law in an
ethical and constitutional manner. The United States Department of Justice seeks to prevent or

Bandura believes that people decide whether or not to adopt what behavior s they observe
(Bandura, 1977). There is a common perception that a criminal is has suffered a deprived
childhood, or is from a broken home and lacks a good education etc, but this is not true fact as
there is all kinds that go astray and for no apparent reason. As someone may have a good life and
has made it big and all of a sudden that is not good enough for them and they decide that
embezzling millions from their company they work for is a good ideal for unknown reasons. Law
enforcement professionals use criminal theory to understand criminal actions as Sutherland s major

edition of Principles of Criminology, the first statement of the theory of differential association
appears and in the fourth edition as he presents his final theory. As follows his theory has 9 basic
postulates. 1. Criminal behavior is learned.
Criminal behavior is not inherited and does not invent criminal behavior.

Reflection Paper On Dance
As I reflect on my third semester at The University of Kentucky, I am reminded of how Ballet
One, or TAD 142, has impacted me as a dancer. I have discovered my strengths and grown in my
skill, as well as discovered areas that still need improvement.Initially, I found my interest in dance
through my passion in the performing arts, specifically color guard. My interest in dancepushed me
to enroll in two dance classes at my university, ballet one, as well as an additional course,
introduction to dance. In the futureI plan on furthering my dance education by pursuing a minor in
dance, that could eventually effect my future job endeavors. Prior to this class, I spent seven
years participating in color guard. Each season of color guard required an audition. Looking
back on each audition, I find a pattern in the process, which later bled into my performance
focus. With every audition and performance, my priority was to take the spotlight. Once I knew
every eye in the audience was on me, I would do my best to make sure my face was telling the
story. As I look back on these moments, I realize that I no longer perform this way. I believe this
change is explained simply by my confidence. I do not feel as confident in my current dance
classes as I was in color guard. Throughout my experience in color guard I found happiness not
only in the performance aspect but also in the body and movement beneath the equipment.
Rehearsal would typically begin with a stretching block, followed by

Comparing Oberon And Titania In A Midsummer Night s Dream
In Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream, the lovely young Indian boy never speaks, but he
is an essential character (2.1. 22). The Indian boy makes the fight between Oberon and Titania go
further, yet he ultimately resolves their conflict as well. The story of the Indian boy is told from
two different sides, Pucks and Titania s. One could argue many different reasons as to why
Oberon desires the Indian boy, but the answer is unclear. Is Oberon s desire to have the Indian
boy out of Titania s possession, motivated by Oberon s need for all of Titania s affection?
Titania tells Oberon, And this same progeny of evils comes from our debate, from our
dissension; we are their parents and original (2.1. 115 117). She s telling Oberon that their fight
over the Indian boy has caused chaos to the natural world. Oberon responds by telling Titania it s
up to her to end their fight. Oberon feels a sense of entitlement over Titania. He sees no reason as
to why Titania [should] cross her Oberon (2.1. 119). Oberon doesn t see a reason why Titania
would disagree with him on the subject of the Indian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She tells Oberon the reason she s kept the boy is because of her loyalty to the boy s mother. She
explains that the boy s mother was a votress of [her] order (2.1. 123). The close relationship
Titania and the Indian boy s mother shared is the second reason Oberon is jealous of the boy being
under Titania s possession. Titania has no boundaries when it comes to love. She loved Bottom as
an ass, Oberon as a king, and a young Indian boy because of the connection she had to his mother.
The boy is Titania s link to the mortal world and a threat to Oberon. In order for Oberon to receive
all of Titania s love, he has to get rid of the Indian boy. It s clear Titania is attracted to the boy and
he acts as a living memory of his mother, for Titania. Oberon is jealous of both the boy and his

Compare and Contrast of the Three Faces of Power
Some theorists believe that power is everywhere: not because it embraces everything, but
because it comes from everywhere... power is not an institution, nor a structure, nor possession.
It is the name we give to a complex strategic situation in a particular society. (Foucault, 1990: 93)
This is because power is present in each individual and in every relationship. It is defined as the
ability of a group to get another group to take some form of desired action, usually by consensual
power and sometimes by force. (Holmes, Hughes Julian, 2007) There have been a number of
differing views on power over the many years in which it has been studied. Theorist such as

Luke s one dimensional view of power is centred on this concept and in order to develop
understanding as to how power is achieved and maintained within society, an analyses of
decision making in the public arena must be made. It also contests that the group that holds and
maintains power can be determined by looking at who succeeds when there is political conflict.
(Lukes, 1974:12) It emphasises the importance of the observed behaviour of those in power and
analyses the effects on the wider community when making decisions (Lukes 1974:25) Lukes
spends a lot of time discussing Dahl s theory of power through his own theory. The power held
by a specific group may be either, overt or covert but the triumph of power is at the point is
during the decision making process and when these decision have been made, especially, those of
the controversial nature of ones centred around the most conflict (Lukes, 1974:13) The one
dimensional view of power proposed by Lukes is the most straightforward of the three dimensions.
In a way, it is also the easiest to observe, as the power structure through decision making is more

Schema Of Practitioners And Children With Schemas
this assignment is to introduce and familiarise schemas to practitioners and parents in the early
years. Practice guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage makes clear the vital link between
schemas and child development and states practitioners should inspire young children as they
explore certain patterns of thought or movement , occasionally referred to as schemas ( Louis, S
practice guidance for the EYFS,2008 as cited by nursery world ,2011, www.nurseryworld.co.uk.,oct
2014) This assignment is going to show research into certain questions about schemas which will
familiarise parents and practitioners making them more knowledgeable about certain aspects of
schemas. This research is going to be carried out by using... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The Coordination s lead to a high level and a more dominant schema (Athey, 1990). Piaget (1962
citied by nursery world, 2011, www.nurseryworld.co.uk, Oct 14) described schemas as cognitive
structures in which he understood that children learn through repetition and by repeating again and
again they extended the ability to gather and remember information in which they developed
knowledge understanding of simple concepts and the world around them.
Children may display these patterns in whichever toy or resource they use, they tend to learn best if
they are interested in what they are playing with and how they play needs to make sense to them.
Not all children are observed to be in a particular schema, some children display more than one
schema at a time. There also maybe times when a child s schema is visible and other times when it
is not. The most common schemas which are observed in children are:
Trajectory moving in or representing straight lines, arches or curves or the movement of objects
through the air.
Connecting and disconnecting connecting themselves to objects and objects to each other and
disconnecting, like using sellotape and tying things to each other.
Enclosure enclosing oneself, an object or space by enclosing themselves with bricks around them.

Fairy Tales Compared To The Story Of Cinderella
Fairy tales are important part of every individual because in the past grandparents used to tell us
the stories about fairies and witches. Cinderella is very interesting story. One of the most popular
and lovable fairy tales is Cinderella, it is the story of beautiful girl whose stepmother abuses her,
and later in the story she missing sandal; there are many other stories related to this. For example,
Rhodopis, Yeh Hsien, Donkeyskin, The Three Gowns, Catskin, and The Princess in the Suit of
Leather and these tales are similar to the story of Cinderella. Cinderella is a poor girl who got
married with help of the god mother and this story has a great impact on younger generations
because children love to hear fairy tales and they start imagining their own life as the characters in
Fairy tales. Cinderella is a fairy talewhich shows the dreams come true of a young and beautiful
girl named Ella, who is tortured by her stepmother and stepsisters after her father s death. She
faced many circumstances. She does not have any kind of power and magic skills but because
of her honesty and attractive look, her life totally changed. Ella s Godmother gifts her slippers
and she attend the Royal ball, where she dance with Prince and there she loses one of her
slipper. Prince wants to find her and marry her, so he orders to the shoulders to find her and
finally they find her and bring her to palace, then prince Charming marries her. Cinderella is
fairy tale that reflects the power of love, honesty, and patience. There are many other stories
those are similar to Cinderella. For example, the story of Yeh hsien is almost similar to the
Cinderella. Yeh hsien (the story same as Cinderella) is a girl whose father is passed away and
she lives with stepmother and stepsisters. Her stepmother sends her into the woods to collect
firewood and one day she found one fish with gold eyes and red fins and she feeds the fish. The
fish comes out the pond only when she called and fish knows her from her dress and one day her
stepmother trapped her and she kill the fish, second day when Yeh hsien called the fish she did
not see the fish and then there a man appears and he tells the story to her. He advises her to bring

Dishonest In The Workplace At Panera Bread
In today s society, people can be dishonest and cheat their way through life. Working in
anywhere, your bosses and coworkers have to gain your trust. For over a year now, I work at
Panera Bread. We are always hiring new staff throughout spring and summer. People come and
go for stealing food or not treating customers with respect. Until recently, one of my managers
experienced embezzlement. My manager is sending her child off to college and taking care of
the rest of her family, which is a big expense. Someone apart of our staff stole three hundred
dollars from her purse. She lost her whole paycheck that she had earned. Everyone was not sure
who to trust or rely on anymore. No one was honest and confessed they did it. I doubted the integrity

Alfred F. Young s The Shoemaker And The Revolution
Alfred F. Young wrote The Shoemaker and the Revolution to explain how a regular citizen could
become such an active participant in the American Revolution. He explores one citizen in
particular, the shoemaker George Robert Twelves Hewes, and how he went from a young, nervous
boy to a patriot that stood up for what he believed. Young describes that this transformation can be
explained by participation in events that inspired the revolution the BostonMassacre, the Boston tea
Party, and the tarring and feathering of John Malcolm. The first event that began to shape the man
that Hewes would become was the Boston Massacre in March of 1770. He also had several
altercations with British troops before the Massacre that would negatively affect... Show more

These include a bias when commenting on the Boston Massacre, the ill explanations of the
Quartering Acts or the Tea Act which are major direct causes to the events discussed, and the fact
that the articles only focusses on events that occurred in Boston. When explaining the second
point of this article Young states that The soldiers were beaten and sought revenge. (par. 7). This
implies that the British soldiers were looking for a fight on the night of the massacre. This a type
of propaganda that was commonly used in this era to demonize the soldiers acts even though it
was most likely just an accidental shooting. Another major weakness the Young exudes hoe he
fails to mention important causes of the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. The
Quartering Act was issued by Parliament to decrease the cost of holding troops in America and
forced the colonists to house troops and pay for all of their accommodations. This information
would be helpful in describing the events that led up to the Boston Massacre. Another fact that
would aid the reader s understanding of the cause of an event would be to explain the Tea Act, as
this was the most direct cause to the Boston Tea Party. This act was in place to undercut Dutch
smugglers and force the American colonists to buy tea from Britain directly. This angered the
colonists and led to the refusal to unload tea in the Boston

Case Study Of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore
OWNERSHIP
The Ritz Carlton, Millenia Singapore
Ritz Carlton management contract is with Marriott International. 80% of Ritz Carlton is owned by
the Kwee Brothers, namely Kwee Liong Keng, Kwee Liong Tek, Kwee Liong Seen and Kwee
Liong Phing. The other 20% is owned by the Singapore Airlines.
Fraser Residence Orchard, Singapore
Fraser Residence Orchard, Singapore property is owned by Eastern Realty Company Limited and
managed by Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd.
ORGANISATION STRUCTURE
Job Specialization
The accommodations, Ritz Carlton and Fraser Residence both practice job specialisation with the
given specific roles to perform every day. Each employee has a primary role in the company
where they have to fulfill. Ritz Carlton has a higher degree of job specialisation as each
employee performs each of his or her own tasks. For example, during our site visit, the person who
greeted and opens the door for us is different from the person who assisted us with our enquiries at
the concierge. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result, Ritz Carlton has a wider span of control where one manager is in charge of greater
number of employees. Whereas Fraser Residence will have a narrow span of control as they have a
smaller team with lesser departments. Too wide of a span of control can decrease the effectiveness
of managers as they spend more time managing their subordinates instead of performing other
important duties. For example referring to the organisation chart in appendix I, the front office
manager in Ritz Carlton has 3 sub department managers that reports to him/her (Security manager,
reservation manager and chief concierge). On the other hand, the front office manager in Fraser
Residence has only 1 sub department manager that reports to him/ her (Reservation supervisor).

The Causes And Uses Of Skette
This is a geological report of an area with the proposed highway to be constructed at a uniform
grade of 90m above ordinance level. Sketch of the proposed highway is provided indicating the
proportionate areas to undergo cuts and fills. The various rocks presented in the locality are also
discussed indicating their suitability and limitations for their possible use in the construction
process.
The area represented on the map has an abundance of rocks which are described as follows:
Granite granite is an igneous rock with almost half part consisting of quartz, a quarter being alkali
feldspar and other minerals. It forms from the crystallization of magma below the Earth s surface.
Its grains are large enough to be visible to the naked ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mudstone is a non granular sedimentary rock consisting majorly of silt and clay microscopic
particles. It forms when these particles settle down in a calm water body such as lakes, rivers,
lagoon etc. they are then buried with another set of sediment. The constituent water in the initial
sediment is then squeezed out by the overlying or burying sediment to form a solid mass, through
exerting a compression pressure (The Geology Toolkit Team, 2006).
Clay is powdery grained rock occurring naturally. It is formed by the gradual chemical weathering
of larger rocks. In this case could be the above discussed rocks. Figure 1: A cross section profile of
A B showing cuts and fills Figure 2: showing a strata angle of dip
Clay present on the site of construction would pose serious challenges due to its low strength and
stiffness, which would easily lead to failures in the foundation through cracking. However, borehole
analysis and the drawn profile shows that such would not arise as clay forms the major part to be
cut during the construction.
Limestone rocks pose serious problems to construction work due to the cavernous nature of its
bedrock. Its presence contributes to aquifer yield drop since it greatly changes subsurface drainage
patterns; it also has the potential to alter the groundwater condition when some of its mineral
components dissolve in the seeping water.
Mudstone normally poses a challenge when constructing embankments and cuts. Embankment

As the car go down it looses its potential energy because it is not at the same height anymore. As it
loses the potential energy it gains kinetic energy. Kinetic energy came along because of its high
speed. The mathematical equation for this is initial kinetic energy plus initial potential energy
plus external work equals final kinetic energy plus final potential energy. To find work the
equation is force times distance. To find power the equation is work divided by time. As you
crest the top of the tower, enjoy your free moment of weightless and the overview of the park.
But don t get two comfortable, because it s time to do what a drop tower does best drop you!
The Giant Drop opened December 26,1998. The height of the Giant Drop is 119m (390ft). The

  • 2. Self-Collection Methods I do not believe self reports are necessarily the most accurate or liable methods for gauging criminal behavior, but I do believe that they are still an essential aspect for recording delinquent criminality. As with any of the crime data collection methods explained within the book, they all have respective strengths and weaknesses. Self report surveys, include crimes that went unreported, juvenile substance abuse, and an offender s personal characteristics and information. As valuable as these statistics may be, to obtain such information we are forced to rely on the honesty of offenders and omit offenders who refuse or are unable, as consequences of incarceration, to participate (and who therefore may be the most delinquent) (Siegel Pg. ... • 3. Public Art in the United Arab Emirates Public art is the art that has been planned to of being staged in public and its usually outdoor, it can be carved sculpture, cast or built or painted. What s special about public art is the way how it is made, the place where it is and what meaning it has behind it. Public art can express community value or describe a cultural related point, and its placed in public for everyone to see. Public artis a reflection of how the artistsees the world and response to his time and space. In this essay, I want to review about how the public art reflects the traditional culture. As an example of public art in the UAE, is the camel caravan. It is a sculpture of a camel that is painted with colorful different shapes. There is several camels caravan located around the place, and each of them has a different unique style. I believe that public art should be reflective of traditional culture. The camel caravan also has a reflection on the cultural side that camels are very common and a known animal in the UAE. Public art strategies help to uncover and enhance the implied identity, the value, the unique meaning and the character of the social and physical form of a community or a society, the community s character and sense of space reflects this identity. The person s sense of space always develops over time while reflecting the shade of his social values around and within the community. The character of a community will be reflected by its cultural narrative space of a place. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. A Report On A Government A government should always be open to criticism, be held accountable for their actions, and be honest when notifying the public of any events. This creates government transparency and allows its citizens to hold their leaders accountable for their actions. In order to create this transparency in today s society, a technical system must be set in place. This technical system needs to contain governmentdocuments which are easily accessible to the public. But, not all documents should be housed in this accessible database. Some government knowledge should be kept secret and inaccessible, because it could fall into the wrong hands. Documents containing economic information, such as budgets and spending should be readily available on a database for the public to access. Without a transparent government, citizens can become unruly and no longer trust their government due to the high volume of secrets or hidden documentation. Solution I My first solution to this issue is to open a cloud database which would house any documents containing government budgets, spending, and/or salaries. This database would be accessible to everyone with the means to access a cloud database. The database could be accessed via an application downloaded onto a computer or mobile phone. There is already an app with these specifications available for Montgomery County in Maryland. The app was built by Socrata, a Seattle based cloud software company, in order to encourage citizen engagement within their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Pagan And Heathens Stereotypes Essay 3.) The common stereotypes that alternative religious groups have, is that they are considered to be witches. Others say that they have a pack with the devil in some way. Another stereotype is that they are considered to be baby eaters; they tend to listen to rock music, wear black clothes. Pagans tend to work with black magic to cast spells on others. Also, that they were once Christian who turns rebels, ignorance, and that they lack of knowledge. The people that they hang around are the same group of people that are considered lonely, Emo or Gothic looks, etc. They said that these people cut themselves, and/or commit suicide. They are also bullied by others. Another stereotype towards Pagans is that people think that they are drug addicts. The truth about these stereotypes for Pagans and Heathens is that in reality, one hundred percent is truly false. Pagans and Heathens do have foundations in reality. • 9. Effects Of The Criminalization Of Alcohol On America... Introduction This essay aims to show that if alcohol is legal, cannabis should be also. To do so I will compare the effects both substances have on the health of their users. I will then examine how much scientific evidence has been used when criminalizing marijuana and whether that evidence is still applicable today. Finally, I will analyze the effects of the criminalization of alcohol in America during the 1920s. I will use this case to show that the misguided prohibition of alcohol is comparable to the current marijuana laws. Though the situation was in a different social setting (and I will go over that as well), I will endeavor to show that, in the same was as it was in 1933, legalization not only provides a healthier lifestyle for users, but also breaks down the criminal organizations that profit from it. Existing Laws in the UK The current drug laws that are in effect in the UK are those set forth in the Drugs Misuse Act of 1971. The act separates illegal drugs into A, B and C classes; A being the most harmful drugs and therefore the most heavily penalised, and C being the least. Marijuana is currently qualified as a class C drug, after it was advised by Proffesor Sir Michael Rawlins, Chairman of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, to be reduced from class B in 2002. The report contained a re examination of the health and social risks of the drug, and within the cover letter states The council believes that the current classification of cannabis is ... As a symbolic image of Hemingway himself, Nick Adams is faced with troubling relationships that ultimately define who he is. Life experiences from young to old define show how Nick lives his love before, during, and after World War One. These experiences strengthen his relationships, maturity, and masculinity. One of the most important themes, masculinity, is portrayed directly at the start of Hemingway s short story collection starting with Indian Camp. In the first short story the reader sees the novels protagonist, Nick Adams, response to violence and suffering inflicted on others will ultimately define his own sense of masculinity (Frazier). Witnessing this dramatic event at such a young age will define Nick s life and change the way he views certain aspects of life just from watching a woman give birth. Nick s maturity and responsibility are also themes that are greatly exploited just as well as his masculinity. The reader first learns about Nick and his relationships with his girlfriend Marjorie in the short story titled The End of Something. • 13. Analysis of the Sociological Theories The four sociological theories are (1) Functionalisms, (2) Conflict Theory, (3) Symbolic Interaction and (4) rational choice. Functionalism believes that each part of society works in its own way and that the whole is interrelated so that one feeds into the other and the whole works together harmoniously as a unit. The government, for instance, provides education and libraries for its citizens and citizens, in turn, pay taxes to the government so that the whole country profits. Schools provide education for children, and families depend upon schools to provide education so that children will become employable. The children, in turn, become literate, law abiding citizens who grow up to become productive citizens in their won way. In this way, each segment of society interacts to work together as a cohesive whole providing stability and productivity. Conflict Theory Society is in a perpetual state of conflict with bourgeois, or propertied class, exploiting the workers. Society is in a conflict, constantly changing, negative state. Conflict theory is the opposite of functionalism in that it sees conflict as being the personification of every single segment of society. This includes race, religion, gender, politics, and economy. Powerful people are wrestling with and exploiting the weaker and under privileged and unequal groups usually have conflicting values that cause competition and conflict. This results in the constantly changing face of history. Symbolic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. The Transformation Of Metamorphosis In Franz Kafka s The... In Franz Kafka s novella, The Metamorphosis, the main character Gregor Samsa awakes from his sleep transformed into a bug. As the story develops, not only does Gregor go through the phases of a metamorphosis but also his family especially his sister Grete. If the novella is about hope, then it would explain the actions and plot lines introduced to the reader. What is Grete s metamorphosis? How does she bring new hope to the Samsa family? Is the hope found within the tragic transformation of Gregor? When I first read the book the only metamorphosis that I examined was that of Gregor s, however, as I began to analyze each paragraph deeply, Grete s metamorphosis came into light and revealed a whole new meaning for the title. Grete transformed from being a young and respectful daughter to being an independent and spiteful one. At the beginning of the novella, Grete is first introduced like many other characters, she is the voice behind a wall; on the right side the sister began to sob (17). Kafka allows the reader to assume that Grete is an anxious and overdramatic person, Grete begins to cry just because Gregor won t open his door. Kafka again establishes Grete s melodramatic personality with the use of free indirect speech, And why was she crying? (17). Even though Grete was a childish girl at the beginning of the story, she was also very caring towards Gregor even after he had shown himself to the world; But he could never guessed what his sister in her kindness [...] to test his likings, she brought him a big selection (26). As the novella develops Grete grows as a woman, and her personality matures. Grete now has taken over Gregor s family duties, and her stature in the family has risen, We have to get rid of it (47). The use of direct speech gives Grete more authority than her parents which gives her a lot of independence not only does Grete have more independence but she also has become more spiteful towards Gregor; At last! to her parents as she turned the key in the lock (49). The locking of the door shows the reader that Grete no longer cares for Gregor and has realized that he was a considerable burden. • 16. The Creation Story Of Islam And The Three Creation Stories Everyone has their perspective on how the universe came to be; their beliefs are all based on creation stories that have passed down through generations. The three creation stories that will be analysed are the modern Islamic creation story, the indigenous Maori creation myth and the emerging story of Thor. The creation of the world in Islam s perspective begins with Allah God creating the heavens and the earth all within six days. He then created the sun, the moon and the planets with each their own term of existence. Allah created the entire universe with water as well as animals. After doing so, he created the first man Adam from clay. God then told his angels including Shayб№ДЃn (the devil, who was the only angel made of fire) to bow down to Adam. All of the angels obeyed except for Shayб№ДЃn who refused to do so, claiming that he was more powerful because he was fire and Adam was made of clay, which caused Allah to become conflicted with the devil thus banishing him from heaven. Shayб№ДЃn then decided to create hell to challenge God s people (humans) and influence them to go against God and go to hell instead of heaven. The second human created was Eve aka Hawwa that came from Adam s right rib, she was a mate for him that had the same nature and soul. Before Adam and Eve lived on earth, Jinns (Allah s creation of spirits, similar to genies) used to live on planet earth. • 22. Consequences Of The Treaty Of Versailles The Failed Treaty The Treaty of Versailles was an imbroglio of spite, harsh terms, and creating more problems than solving old ones. At this end we could see the Treaty of Versailles as a more or less buffer from war for a few years, a temporary solution to an existential problem: human conflict. The world knew the Treaty had failed with the collapse of the League of Nations, the Great Depression, and the rise of Nazism and the resulting invasion of Poland. The Treaty of Versailleswas a mockery of what Woodrow Wilson had wanted for the betterment of the world and the longevity of world peace. But the Triple Entente had different views on the consequences for the Central Powers and the world. Britain, Russia, and France had shot down Woodrow Wilson s one by one, until it came to the League of Nations. The League of Nations, a world saver, a world changer, was also heavily restricted by the Triple Entente. But, it would be accepted as long as the U.S. applied to the Triple Entente s terms, this outraged the United States. We had entered the war on our own behalf, seemingly saving the Western World itself, but we had to comply? The U.S. Senate was outraged, Wilson was defeated, and the League of Nations spun out of control. It still remained without the U.S, but was neglected by weak and spiteful leaders, causing a spiral downwards to a mere joke nearing the end of the 1930s. But, the League of Nations had shown that The Great War was over, and the time for the Roaring ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cuban Migration In order to understand the complex relationship that Cuba has with the United States and the nature of Cuban American immigrant communities that exist in South Florida, it is necessary to first understand the unique circumstances that led to the large influx of Cuban immigrants. For many Cubans the Batista government was simply a puppet regime with the puppet masters being wealthy Americans. This was because his economic policies favoured foreign investors and did little for the development of domestic industries, which resulted in the wealth of the country being concentrated in the hands of a wealthy white minority. Consequently, in the 1950s, this harsh regime caused political resistance to reach to its boiling point. In response to these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Prior to the development of Cuban American communities, 1940 census reflected the population of South Florida being 172,172. Approximately 99.9% of the population spoke English and over 92% of the population was white. The growth of Cuban American communities in South Florida drastically altered this demography. Today, Florida is now the third largest state in the nation, with more than 20 million people in 2015. Florida s growth can best be termed a population boom facilitated by a series of migration. Although migration from other northern states continues to be a major contributor to population growth, international migration plays a more important role, particularly in the south. According to the Pew Research Center 2015 statistical profile of Hispanics of Cuban origin, there is an estimated 2 million who live in the United States. This accounts for 3.7 percent of the overall Latino population. Cuban Americans are the most regionally concentrated, with approximately 70 percent residing in South Florida. This change in demography has also carried linguistic implications. The first wave of immigrants who arrived in the United States all thought that they were in temporary exile and it was only a matter of time before the new government was overthrown and they would be able to return to their island home. Consequently, unlike many other immigrant groups they made little attempts to assimilate in the United States, instead they maintained their culture, customs and more importantly their language. My interest in dancepushed me to enroll in two dance classes at my university, ballet one, as well as an additional course, introduction to dance. In the futureI plan on furthering my dance education by pursuing a minor in dance, that could eventually effect my future job endeavors. Prior to this class, I spent seven years participating in color guard. Each season of color guard required an audition. Looking back on each audition, I find a pattern in the process, which later bled into my performance focus. With every audition and performance, my priority was to take the spotlight. Once I knew every eye in the audience was on me, I would do my best to make sure my face was telling the story. As I look back on these moments, I realize that I no longer perform this way. I believe this change is explained simply by my confidence. I do not feel as confident in my current dance classes as I was in color guard. Luke s one dimensional view of power is centred on this concept and in order to develop understanding as to how power is achieved and maintained within society, an analyses of decision making in the public arena must be made. It also contests that the group that holds and maintains power can be determined by looking at who succeeds when there is political conflict. (Lukes, 1974:12) It emphasises the importance of the observed behaviour of those in power and analyses the effects on the wider community when making decisions (Lukes 1974:25) Lukes spends a lot of time discussing Dahl s theory of power through his own theory. The power held by a specific group may be either, overt or covert but the triumph of power is at the point is during the decision making process and when these decision have been made, especially, those of the controversial nature of ones centred around the most conflict (Lukes, 1974:13) The one dimensional view of power proposed by Lukes is the most straightforward of the three dimensions. The two dimensional view or second face of power discusses the non decision making and how the group or individual controls what is put on the political agenda. Piaget (1962 citied by nursery world, 2011, www.nurseryworld.co.uk, Oct 14) described schemas as cognitive structures in which he understood that children learn through repetition and by repeating again and again they extended the ability to gather and remember information in which they developed knowledge understanding of simple concepts and the world around them. Children may display these patterns in whichever toy or resource they use, they tend to learn best if they are interested in what they are playing with and how they play needs to make sense to them. Not all children are observed to be in a particular schema, some children display more than one schema at a time. There also maybe times when a child s schema is visible and other times when it is not. The most common schemas which are observed in children are: Trajectory moving in or representing straight lines, arches or curves or the movement of objects through the air. Connecting and disconnecting connecting themselves to objects and objects to each other and disconnecting, like using sellotape and tying things to each other. Working in anywhere, your bosses and coworkers have to gain your trust. For over a year now, I work at Panera Bread. We are always hiring new staff throughout spring and summer. People come and go for stealing food or not treating customers with respect. Until recently, one of my managers experienced embezzlement. My manager is sending her child off to college and taking care of the rest of her family, which is a big expense. Someone apart of our staff stole three hundred dollars from her purse. She lost her whole paycheck that she had earned. Everyone was not sure who to trust or rely on anymore. No one was honest and confessed they did it. I doubted the integrity ... • 44. Alfred F. Young s The Shoemaker And The Revolution Alfred F. Young wrote The Shoemaker and the Revolution to explain how a regular citizen could become such an active participant in the American Revolution. He explores one citizen in particular, the shoemaker George Robert Twelves Hewes, and how he went from a young, nervous boy to a patriot that stood up for what he believed. Young describes that this transformation can be explained by participation in events that inspired the revolution the BostonMassacre, the Boston tea Party, and the tarring and feathering of John Malcolm. The first event that began to shape the man that Hewes would become was the Boston Massacre in March of 1770. He also had several altercations with British troops before the Massacre that would negatively affect... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These include a bias when commenting on the Boston Massacre, the ill explanations of the Quartering Acts or the Tea Act which are major direct causes to the events discussed, and the fact that the articles only focusses on events that occurred in Boston. When explaining the second point of this article Young states that The soldiers were beaten and sought revenge. (par. 7). This implies that the British soldiers were looking for a fight on the night of the massacre. This a type of propaganda that was commonly used in this era to demonize the soldiers acts even though it was most likely just an accidental shooting. Another major weakness the Young exudes hoe he fails to mention important causes of the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party. The Quartering Act was issued by Parliament to decrease the cost of holding troops in America and forced the colonists to house troops and pay for all of their accommodations. This information would be helpful in describing the events that led up to the Boston Massacre. Another fact that would aid the reader s understanding of the cause of an event would be to explain the Tea Act, as this was the most direct cause to the Boston Tea Party. This act was in place to undercut Dutch smugglers and force the American colonists to buy tea from Britain directly. This angered the colonists and led to the refusal to unload tea in the Boston ... Sketch of the proposed highway is provided indicating the proportionate areas to undergo cuts and fills. The various rocks presented in the locality are also discussed indicating their suitability and limitations for their possible use in the construction process. The area represented on the map has an abundance of rocks which are described as follows: Granite granite is an igneous rock with almost half part consisting of quartz, a quarter being alkali feldspar and other minerals. It forms from the crystallization of magma below the Earth s surface. Its grains are large enough to be visible to the naked ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mudstone is a non granular sedimentary rock consisting majorly of silt and clay microscopic particles. It forms when these particles settle down in a calm water body such as lakes, rivers, lagoon etc. they are then buried with another set of sediment. The constituent water in the initial sediment is then squeezed out by the overlying or burying sediment to form a solid mass, through exerting a compression pressure (The Geology Toolkit Team, 2006). Clay is powdery grained rock occurring naturally. It is formed by the gradual chemical weathering of larger rocks. In this case could be the above discussed rocks. Figure 1: A cross section profile of A B showing cuts and fills Figure 2: showing a strata angle of dip Clay present on the site of construction would pose serious challenges due to its low strength and stiffness, which would easily lead to failures in the foundation through cracking. However, borehole analysis and the drawn profile shows that such would not arise as clay forms the major part to be cut during the construction. Limestone rocks pose serious problems to construction work due to the cavernous nature of its bedrock. Its presence contributes to aquifer yield drop since it greatly changes subsurface drainage patterns; it also has the potential to alter the groundwater condition when some of its mineral components dissolve in the seeping water. Mudstone normally poses a challenge when constructing embankments and cuts. Embankment constructed through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Kinetic energy came along because of its high speed. The mathematical equation for this is initial kinetic energy plus initial potential energy plus external work equals final kinetic energy plus final potential energy. To find work the equation is force times distance. To find power the equation is work divided by time.
