For quite some time now the stock market and the dollar have been locked in a reverse correlation.
When the dollar went up the market went down and so forth.
In particular 2009 has seen that correlation play out in dramatic fashion. The stock market had a
bottom in November 2008 and then the final bottom of the bear market run down in March 2009.
The stock market as measured by the Dow 30 industrials bottomed in March at which time the
Dollar index negatively correlated by peaking in price. In all the retracements and minor

The Parthenon is located on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece; is a former temple which was

complex history. After thousands of years it became a church of the Virgin Mary of the Athenians,

not being double standard? Are they really helping people, and the environment, regardless of

The Waking Poem By Theodore Roethke
Through his life affirming poem, The Waking, Theodore Roethke explores the cycle of life using
life and death as metaphors to describe how we come to a more enlightened state of being. From a
primary reading of his poem The Waking, only a simple understanding of the poem is attainable, as
Roethke does not give his work a defined setting or subject. In addition, it seems that the poem is
very simplistic and does not require much attention to understand or interpret. However, upon
revisiting the poem multiple times, it can be inferred that Roethke intentionally uses various
paradoxes and natureimagery to symbolize aspects of life in order to help the reader understand
his outlook on how to endure life and in order to evoke and develop the theme of the cyclical
pattern of life.
The title examines the transition from sleep to wakefulness as a state of mind that is representative
of both states yet very different from each. The definitive article, The, suggests a fixed and real
