The Atomic Bomb Essays
August 6th, 1945, 70,0000 lives were ended in a matter of seconds. The United States had dropped an
atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. Today many argue whether or not the U.S. should have taken
such a drastic measure. Was it entirely necessary that we drop such a devastating weapon? To answer
that first we must look at was going on in the world at the time of the conflict. The U.S. had been
fighting a massive war since 1941. Moral was most likely low, and resources were at the same level as
moral. Still both sides continued to fight and both were determined to win. Obviously the best thing
that could have possibly happened would have been to bring the war to a quick end with a minimum
of allied casualties. Harry Truman s decision to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We shall continue to use it until we completely destroy Japan s power to make war. This quote
embodies the spirit of the American people of the time. The public was eager for a quick end to the
war and American casualties. Also Truman threatens to utilize the A bomb s power again until we are
victorious. In hindsight it is clear the correct decision was made. How can anyone be certain that
Japan would have continued to fight? It is possible that they were preparing for surrender, no one can
say for certain exactly what would have happened but by examining evidence of Japanese culture and
warfare it is obvious that would not have been the case. At the time of WWII systematic and organized
education made efficient quot;brainwashing quot; possible. In public schools, students were taught to
die for the emperor. By late 1944, a slogan of Jusshi Reisho meaning, quot;Sacrifice life, quot; was
taught. In addition to civilian s dedication to their country, there was a group of military pilots called
the Kamikaze. Kamikaze were suicide pilots. They would load up an airplane and try to nose dive it
into an enemy target. Think about what must be on that pilot s mind. Imagine the undying love for his
country. He would fight to the bitter end for his emperor. The most frightening part of this is that the
entire Japanese military thought this way. The fact that the enemy is willing to die so long as you die
with him is not something

Mead Vs Piaget
Which sociologist knows better George Herbert Mead or Jean Piaget? Who is right or who is wrong?
While I am not an expert in the field of sociology I have noticed that there are a multitude of ideas and
theories that are considered when trying to study people in our society. Most of the time there is
simply no clear cut right or wrong answer, but a combination of possible answers that are used to
come up with a hypotheses, then used to try and find the most probable answer. George Herbert Mead
ideas are widely known especially the theory of symbolic interactionism and his ideas about the main
phases of child development (Giddens, Duneier and Appelbaum 84). Mead s symbolic interactionism

The Implementation Of Charter Schools
Implementation of charter schools in LAUSD by George Szabo
Introduction to Public Management and Policy
POSC / CRJU 320
Dr. Samuel B. Stone

$490 million dollar plan In California there is frequent debate over the performance of public schools
throughout the state. It is known that many of the state s public schools are poorly funded and lay in
disrepair. It is also accompanied by bad test scores and underperforming students which is not
necessarily the schools fault. Article one discusses a possible solution with an ambitious $490 million
plan to place half of Los Angeles students into charter schools within the next eight years. Charter
schools are publicly financed, independently run and are exempt from some of the rules that govern
other traditional campuses. Details of the plan have yet to be released but the major contributors
include the locally based Eli and Edyth Broad Foundation along with the Keck and Walton Family
Foundations and other charter advocates. The proposed plan would create 260 new charter schools and
enroll at least 130,000 students (Blume 2015). The foundations have publicly declined to release
important information on the policy but apparently have a strategy in place for moving forward,
including the recruitment and training of teachers and how to raise money. The plan has already
encountered a lot of resistance from the powerful L.A. Unified unions. Critics of the plan claim

Redefining Gender Roles Of A Streetcar Named Desire
Oscar Madera
Dr. Amaya Anderson
ENGL 103
8 May 2016
Dissecting Gender Roles in A Streetcar Named Desire The representation of gender roles is among the
most prominent recurring subjects in theatre, literature and expressive art as we know it. Gender, and
what it means to human beings, is a subject that is as difficult to precisely define as death, race, and
the concept of existence. Anne Beall, Ph.D. graduate in Social Psychology at Yale University, details
in her book The Psychology of Gender that Gender is socially defined masculinity and femininity.
Social psychology studies how gender is defined, created, and maintained through social influence,
especially in the course of social interaction (Beall; 10). The nature of gender roles is ultimately
dictated by temporal, societal, biological and even geographical dimensions that are out of our control
and though it is a given that gender as a concept has kept as relevant as it is ancient, there has only
been under a hundred years of significant progress or general awareness on the matter. The subject
matter of important art in any given time period is a reflection of that society s most urgent struggles
and the topic of gender has remained a constant across human history. The physical and emotional
features of characters in art and literature are manifestations of the creator s perception on subjects
such race and gender. The message that a creator seeks to deliver on a topic, determines how they will
convey the thoughts,

War and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Essay
In this era, war is considered to be a part of life and that the world will always have conflicts and the
only way to resolve these conflicts is by military force. As of May 2014, there are multiple sources of
conflict throughout the world, and a large majority of them result in war and tragedy. From the war in
Iraq, threats from North Korea, and Russia creating friction with Ukraine, war surrounds and engulfs
the world through media, via television sets that are commonly found in many households. Media has
caused its viewers to become numb to the horrors of war and its aftermath. Many citizens no longer
consider the death of the enemy as a tragic loss, they no longer wish for disputes to be settled orally.

Dresden was a city of innocence, that was targeted to ebb the spirits of German soldiers ( Firebombing
of Dresden ). The bombs created a firestorm, and together it killed as many as 135,000 people. The
bombing of Dresden had the highest death toll in World War II, even when compared to Hiroshima
and Nagasaki ( Firebombing of Dresden ). The destruction of Dresden is found inhuman by most of
society, including many people on the Allies side. To lay waste so delicate a flower seems to many an
act of the most heinous barbarity (Valiunas). Dresden was perceived as an harmless and glorious town,
and it is thought that its destruction should not have been a toll of war. The bombing of Dresden
pushed War World II to its limits, and caused a great amount of disruption to Germany. The bombing
of Dresden also became the nightmares and horror story of the war for those who were unfortunately
present and witnessed it. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder often occurs after soldiers return to the safety
of their own home. War World II sent home a great deal of soldiers who returned to America with Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder, however it was not acknowledge by the soldiers themselves. They took on
their original duties, and continued living their lives as normal as possible, for Society

Tar Baby Essay
Tar Baby It is often said that it is better to follow your heart instead of your mind because it will never
lie to you. However, when you follow your heart you are not always prepared for what the outcome
may be. This is proven in Toni Morisson s novel Tar Baby . Tar Baby is Morrison s fourth novel and it
took three and a half years to write . The story was based on an old African American folk tale about
Brer Rabbit and Tar Baby. This book is said by some to be an excess of what made Morrison s other
books good but despite the criticism the book still made it to the best seller s list.
The story takes place on an isolated island of L Arbe de la Croix. this was purposely done by Morrison

Side Effects of Plastic Surgery
Side Effects of Plastic Surgery
Plastic surgery, like most of medicine, was a work in progress for centuries. Now people are paying
top dollar to modify their body, everything from their face to their stomach to even their buttocks. The
question one must consider before making a decision to change physically is, are the side effects
worth it? Under going plastic surgery can open doors for bacterial or viral infections, allergic reactions
from medications to result in unwanted scars, irreversible nerve damage, internal bleeding, and death
of the skin due to hematomas, and necrosis. So many people all around the world are turning to plastic
surgery to reconstruct or alter their bodies without knowing the harmful, sometimes deadly side ...

Bunton (2009) stated that, scarring is another unwanted risk of having plastic surgery. Sometimes
incisions do not heal properly, and the skin develops a thick edge and granular tissue. This is one of
the main reasons; plastic surgeons try to make incisions in places where any scars that develop will be
less noticeable as it heals. In some cases, scarring is mild, and will become more unnoticeable as time
goes by, while in more than a few cases, scarring is very noticeable, and permanent.
Other unsatisfactory results that can come with scarring are blood clots called hematomas, skin
necrosis and toxic shock syndrome. Our body s natural instinct is to heal and protect. Sometimes the
protection of our natural defenses can cause us harm if not taken care of as soon as possible.
Hematomas, which is one of our many defenses, is a collection of blood outside the blood vessels,
generally caused by internal bleeding. In most cases the body creates sacs of blood (blood clots) to
keep internal bleeding to a minimum. Blood clots usually disappear with no certain time frame but
could also continue to grow and would need to be surgically removed before they erupt. If a
hematoma happens to form on a joint, it could reduce mobility, and present the same symptoms as a
fracture.
If the top layer of the patient s skin does

Golden Age Research Paper
In the 19th Century, The Jews Muslims and Christians living in Spain experienced a golden age. The
golden age was a time of great peace and prosperity among the nations due to the Muslim s
acceptance, accommodation and peaceful relations with the Jews and Christians. This golden age
began when the Muslims began conquering the Iberian Peninsula in 711. When Islam was first
founded, it was only practiced within the borders of Arabia(modern day Saudi Arabia). However, the
Muslims began converting large numbers of indigenous tribes, who resided across North Africa as
well as in Asia, and in this way, Islam started to spread. The people of these indigenous tribes were

For the first time since their exile from Jerusalem in the year 70CE, they had the opportunity to
participate fully in society. The Muslims were tolerant rulers who wanted all their citizens, whether
Muslim, Jewish or Christian to participate in the life of the new commonwealth they had founded. In
wake of the new tolerant Muslim leaders, a golden age of Jewish immigration dawned in Al Andalus.
Middle Eastern as well as North African Jewish immigrants poured into Al Andals by the thousands.
At the Jewish population s peak in the 10th century, Al Andalus was by far the largest Jewish centre in
all of Europe. Jews were very well integrated and had phenomenal access to the highest levels of
power. The Jews were especially well integrated into economic and social life, regularly doing
business and interacting with Muslims. Society was very open and Muslims rulers were not threatened
by the minorities and were accommodating. Al Andalus, once a mere outpost of the Islamic kingdom
becomes a bustling centre of European trade. Viking ships from the North sea as well as merchants
from the Islamic capital of Baghdad bring an influx of goods to Al Andalus. The Jewish merchants
brought treasures from far and wide and the honesty of the Muslims helped to regulate the market.
This example demonstrates how coexistence lead to extremely notable achievements. Within 1
century, the Muslims and Jews built a civilization that exceeded every other European country. By the
8th century s end, the land was the most productive, populated and diverse in all of Europe, staying so
for many centuries. During this prosperous period, Al Andalus was exporting and importing more than
double the amount of goods than its neighbors. Trade with other European countries was unmatched
and by the 11th century more than 40% of Europe s freight was being produced in

SNAP Diet Analysis
The most challenging part about the SNAP diet was not being able to eat out. I have classes everyday
during lunch time, and as a result I eat out often. However, one meal from a restaurant is basically
what I can consume daily for this diet . Another challenge was calculating the portions size to ensure I
would have enough food for the four days. I tried visually dividing the can of black beans in four
equal parts. It did not work and in the fourth day, I had no more black beans. Similarly with the beets,
I was going to divide the can in four equal amounts, but then it would be a significant small portion,
and therefore I decided to share in three equal parts. Another great challenge was the quality of the
food. I like to eat my salad with olive oil and vinegar. However, olive oil would be too expensive, and
I decided to buy a light Italian salad dressing instead. The dressing had HFCS as ingredient, which I
usually avoid. Like the salad dressing, I would not buy a regular mayonnaise, but I could not find a
light version in the Dollar Tree store. The quality of the green tea was also bad, it even stained my
cup. To conclude my challenges with this diet, headache was a problem. I am used to ... Show more

On January 26, 1986, one of the greatest disasters of our time occurred. When Challenger was

about the credibility of the engineers who designed the air craft.
It is now know that crucial information about the faulty O rings was know to many if not all of the

The Divine Comedy In Dante s Inferno
The Divine Comedy acknowledged as Dante s Inferno was written in the 14th century and is an epic
poem with allegorical value. Dante the Pilgrim is 35 years old and he was midway along the journey
of our life (TEXTBOOK). Dante the pilgrim is lost in the dark wood, where he meets his guide named
Virgil and he escorts Dante through the nine circles of hell. Virgil symbolizes human reason and
wisdom. In the beginning, Dante was sympathetic for all of the people he saw suffering in hell, but as
time goes by and as Dante gets deeper into hell, he realizes that the suffering people are getting what
they deserve. Dante the Pilgrim grow as a character thought the story The first circle of hell is Limbo

Christians and unbaptized infants reside in this circle. These people are not saved, but they did not sin.
They are punished by being forced to live for eternity in an inferior version of Heaven. They are living
in a castle that has seven gates. They represent the seven virtues. Dante sees many famous people of
the past like Homer, Socrates, Aristotle, Cicero, Hippocrates and Julius Caesar (9 Circles of Hell). He
has the upmost respect for these public figures.
In the second circle of hell is where those who committed lustful acts are punished. They are penalized

PERTUSSIS Pertussis is described by the NVIC as
Pertussis, commonly referred to as whooping cough, is a highly contagious respiratory disease caused
by the Bordetella (B.) pertussis bacterium. B. pertussis bacteria attach themselves to the mucus
membranes of the respiratory tract and cause inflammation in the body.
The major symptom of B. pertussis whooping cough disease is uncontrollable coughing.
In advanced stages, thick mucous develops in the lungs and clogs air passages, triggering violent
episodes of coughing, choking and vomiting up of mucus followed by a high pitched intake of breath
that sounds like whoop. With whooping cough disease, it is possible to have such violent coughing
spells, especially at night, that large amounts of mucous are vomited up through the mouth and nose
and interfere with breathing.
The B. pertussis bacteria release several toxins, including pertussis toxin (PT) and endotoxin. In
severe cases of whooping cough disease, complications include high fever, brain inflammation,
convulsions, pneumonia and death.

Impact Of Consumer Culture In The 1950s
During the 1950 s art took a major turn in history from traditional styles depicting people and scenes
of everyday life to abstract thoughts and ideas that were transformed onto a canvas to express
emotions and ideals in society. People, events, and society have always impacted several styles of art,
but the consumer culture in the 1950 s impacted art in a new completely unique way. Post WWII
society was more industrialized and more focused on developing and selling new products. The
postwar generation had more disposable income to spend on the latest and greatest products and the
market turned to advertisements in mass media to get their products out there to consumers. With
televisions and films increasing in popularity the market flooded these forms of media with catchy
flashy ads that showed favorable people like movie stars using products. With the increasing use of
mass media, the culture shifted to consumerism which effectively shifted art as well. Art was directly
impacted by the consumer culture because of society s use of advertisements, photographs, and films
which artists like Richard Hamilton and Andy Warhol used those elements in their own works to
portray the change of societal standards in a new modern style of art called pop art.
During the 1950 s in people were concerned with the idea of consumerism which meant that society
was constantly looking for the next best product to come on the market. This idea comes from people
who are constantly buying more and

Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA)
The Electronic Communications Privacy Act ( ECPA ) was passed in 1986 to update the 1968 Title III
Wiretap Act, the federal statute that first prohibited the actual or intentional interception
communications without judicial authorization (Wiretap Act, 1968). The 1968 act only concerned wire
and oral communications; a wire communication was defined as any communication made in whole or
in part through the use of [common carrier] facilities for the [interstate or foreign] transmission of
communications by the aid of wire, cable, or other like connection between the point of origin and the
point of reception, and oral communication was defined as any oral communication uttered by a
person exhibiting an expectation [of privacy]. ECPA sought to amend the Wiretap Act in order to
accommodate privacy protections for the increasingly prolific use of electronic devices in
communications between citizens that do not apply to the original definitions (Comm. on the
Judiciary, 1986). ECPA consisted of three titles: the first title amended the 1968 Wiretap Act, the
second title addressed stored communications, and the title addressed pen registers and trap and trace
devices. Title I of ECPA introduces the term electronic communication defined as any communication
not carried by sound waves and [those that] cannot fairly be categorized as containing the human

Influential People in the World
In Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, one of the main themes is good versus evil. When stranded
on a deserted island, the group of boys starts out civilized. However, by the end, the loss of innocence
has turned most of them savage. Humans are essentially good. Jack is both good and evil in the book.
I agree with Ralph, we ve got to have rules and obey them. After all, we re not savages (Golding 42).
In the beginning, even Jack wanted a good society with rules and a leader. They all agreed to vote for
a chief and have a civilization. Ralph says, This is our island. It s a good island. Until the grown ups
come to fetch us we ll have fun (35). Jack thinks about the others and their well being. Piggy says,
How can you expect to be rescued if you don t put first things first and act proper? (45). Jack agrees
with Piggy about the importance of rescuing them all off the island. He helps explain to the others that
they need to listen to Ralph if they want to survive on the island. Even though in the end, Jack
becomes the enemy, the beginning shows that he is good. However, without rules and adults to enforce
them, he becomes a dictator. Simon, however, is truly good. Then, amid the roar of bees, in the
afternoon sunlight, Simon found for the littluns the fruit they could not reach (56). Simon, the Christ
like figure, represents the good in the book. Even when he has been working all day on the shelters, he

Review on Mrs Trollope s Domestic Manners of Americans Essay
Mrs. Trollope depicts her seemingly pleasurable exploration in America with caricature which
grounded on the constantly comparison between the American domestic life with her own experience
in Europe with pretension. I have to say that to some extent, this is good travel narrative full of
exaggerated anecdotes rather than real description of Domestic manners of the Americans as the
reader expected. Mrs. Trollope amused herself largely by sneering at the system of new nation
America and its people and enjoyed her ascendency over the folly Americans. Why did she show such
scornful attitude to American style?
The first reason I assume is that she was so eager to settle down in America to start her new life with
her children there. Her real ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

As Mrs. Trollope failed to fulfill her previous dream before she left for America here. She has to enjoy

people to show her sympathy to make herself believe that she is still leading a better life over those
wretched people. Mrs. Trollope amused herself with coming through the Phrenological society s
ephemeral fate on the 3rd day when subscriptions were expected to be paid. She shows great contempt
on Miss Wright s ridiculous conception on giving the blacks equal education to prove the human are
equal. Could this fact be once fully established, she conceived that the Negro cause would stand on
firmer ground than it had yet done, and the degraded rank which they have ever held amongst
civilized nations would be proved to be a gross injustice. (Chapter 2) For example, Mrs. Trollope is

Our software module determines the garbage levels in the bins of a particular location. The main
parameters used in our software are the sensor values and GSM module (for
communication).According to that user gets the information where to dump trash and administrator
gets the idea which bins are getting filled faster so according to that more bins can be provided and
garbage collection in that area can be accelerated. The goal of our module is to automate garbage
management and keep the city clean and hygienic. 6.1.2 Overview of responsibilities of Developer
Building a prototype of an intelligent bin which will continuously monitor the level of garbage present
in the bin with the help of sensors. There are two different types of sensors used in this model:
HX711 sensor : It is present at the bottom of the bin and it will measure the weight of the bin and
garbage present in it. This value will be converted to digital value with the help of an ADC.
HC SR04 : Used to measure the detect the level of garbage. It works on ultrasonic waves similar to
that of a sonar based on proximity the level of the garbage will be detected. There are multiple sensors
installed based on the size of the bin. Using the current positions of the sensors the bin will be
calibrated. The value

If Shakespeare should be taught to 9TH grader The tradition of Shakespeare being taught to freshman

Other feel as though it is waste off time to teach Shakespeare because it is very outdated and is boring

Other Men Are Thorn
Mahadeviyakka was the first women to leave her husband, this act was unheard of at this time and
held the consequence of banishment or even death. During this time, women were treated like
property instead of human beings, while men held all the power. Marriage was a deal made by two
men trading value for value. Whether it be property, crops, money, etc these deals were made prior to
a marriage for the sole purpose of a business agreement. The poems of these 13th century times are
relevant in today s 21st century world, portraying a moral lesson that is taught over and over again

Relating a man to a thorn is the same as saying he has no heart, or he is not capable of love. The moral
lesson of the poem is to not trust men and that women are powerful. The song Diamond by Rihanna
talks about shining bright, the brightness Rihanna is telling women to overcome the darkness that
shadows over and to shine bright to come out of it. The darkness is relative to men, and women who
shine bright are independent strong forces that are done being a piece of property. In the song she also
says were beautiful like diamonds in the sky meaning all women are beautiful, just as beautiful as an
expensive and most sought after gems. Mahadeviyakka believed she was better than just a sex slave,
and she also believed she was beautiful. By leaving her husband she showed power, then on top of that
she decided to walk around naked to display her beauty and lack of care for rules. Both the poem and
song are about women becoming empowered, and stepping over boundaries that were once
unachievable. In the poem Mahadeviyakka realizes her anger and frustration towards men but does not

Stepping Out Of Your Comfort Zone
Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone
Many immigrants come to the United States in pursuit of opportunity, however they struggle to adopt
the dominant culture s language, which limits the job opportunities available to them. Historically,
immigrants assimilated by having to learn dominant language, but this challenge led them to create
ethnic enclaves that make them feel more welcomed. Many enclaves in the United States, for example
the Latino population in San Francisco s Mission District, give a sense of comfort and nostalgia of
home because people from that community have similarities to their homeland. Newcomers do not
need to step out of their enclave because they have all the support they need in their communities.
Although many immigrants come to the United States in hope of opportunity, they are limited to
achieving and moving forward because of their ethnic enclaves. Because these enclaves do not allow
them to expand into different cultures, they are limited both socially and economically.
Within ethnic communities, there are a huge number of people who face language barriers that
prevents them from seeking employment outside of their ethnic community. People within these
ethnic enclaves do not feel the need to learn the dominant language, because the majority of the
population with their community speaks the same language as they do. Places like San Francisco s
China town has established their own enclave that includes everything from grocery shops to
hospitals. This

the body. The liver also has an excretory role, as it removes the yellowish bile pigment formed by the
brake down of RBCs and puts them into the bile for elimination from the body. The hepatic ducts
drain the bile out of the liver and form the common bile duct that drains the bile into the duodenum.
The gallbladder is a sac attached to the undersurface of the liver. It has a folded interior and functions
to concentrate and store the bile produced by the liver. When there is no chyme in the duodenum the
sphincter muscles within the duodenum remain closed and the bile back up the common bile duct into
the cystic duct that leads into the gallbladder. The gallbladder concentrates the bile by re absorbing
water from the bile back into the blood. The bile contains the bile salts that emulsify the fats in the
chime. It also contains cholesterol tat can be eliminated from the body. The cholecystokinin is a
hormone secreted from the intestinal mucosa and is triggered by fat in the chime. The CCK causes the
gallbladder to contract and push the stored bile into the ducts leading to duodenum.

The Theory Of Decision Making
In our everyday life we are in front of multiple decisions to take, from the easy ones as what coffee to
get to the more complicated ones, as what jobs to apply for. The word Decision originated from Latin
word de ciso which indicates cutting off . This implicates that the act of deciding is to come to a
conclusion among different options. How many options are available though? Throughout the years,
many behavioural scientists proposed different theories in order to explain how we face decisions and
act before them. Do we calculate them all accurately before cutting off ? One of the most recognized
theories for decision making is the von Neumann Morgenstern utility theorem (1944), which states
that the decision maker in front of all the different choices will behave as if he is maximizing the
expected value of some function defined over the potential outcomes. Based on the expected utility,
the von Neumann Morgenstern model is constructed upon the fundamental assumption that humans
behave in a perfect rational way being able to calculate all the options and choosing among them the
one that allows to maximize the expected utility. However, as the major critics to this model sustain,
individuals are not fully rational when taking decisions. Their cognitive process is limited to the
complexity of the environment in which they are taking decisions. The homo economicus is portrayed
as capable of solving complex problems of optimization of resources allocation as well as

Language And Development Of Language, Experience,...
Language plays a significant role in the process of transmitting knowledge and culture among
mankind. Everyone learns a language at the early stages of life. From birth to seven years, a
tremendous development of language skills is seen in a child. The essay states the various
developmental phases of phonetics, morphology, semantics and syntax in a child. The behaviourist
and cognitive theories states that nature and nurture plays a vital role in this process. The essay also
throws light on the importance of culture, experience, maturation and readiness with the aid of
theories laid by Lev Vygotsky and Jean Piaget.

From this stage a child even begins to grasp the
meaning of short phrases such as #39;give me #39;, do not touch #39; and the like. In the next phase
of language
development, the child articulates words. The child picks up simple words from its surroundings
and that which may be taught him. He associates the words with its meaning (Kuhl et al., 2016).
The development of semantic skills take place here. In the later phase, sentence formation begins. In
the beginning, grammar and the conventional way of sentence structure is lacked. From here
commences the syntactic development in an individual. Through experiences and expressions, the
child unknowingly adapts to the accepted grammar and conventional sentence construction rules of
its language ((Bloom, 1993). By the age of four a child speaks and understands his language clearly.
A child is inspired by surroundings to develop its language skills. He or she imitates and reacts to
the sounds around them. B. F. Skinner, one of the pioneers of behaviourism, emphasizes the role of
environment in language development (Sommerville, 2006). He argues that a child learns words by
associating it with meanings. The word #39;cat #39; brings the idea of that particular animal in the
child #39;s
mind. Children imitate words and sentences used by parents and elders. According to him, children
learn language on the basis of reinforcement principles. Adults surrounding them, especially parents

Drafting A Leadership Philosophy
1 Why should you have a leadership philosophy?
Leadership philosophy has a foundational element to it. The different components included create a
strong basis on which to build on and take your leadership forward. You are better equipped to lead
and to succeed in your leadership with a leadership philosophy due to three core benefits: character,
consistency and collaboration.
Character
Drafting a leadership philosophy will provide clarity and focus to your character. Character matters
because it influences your everyday decision making and communication with other people. Without a
proper understanding of your character and the traits you truly value, you are more likely to fall into

Before providing you with the format for your written philosophy, we are going to explain why having
a published leadership philosophy matters. As you ll see in the next section a written leadership
philosophy statement can be useful in getting to the heart of your true values and ideas. By having a
written statement, you are sure to have a reminder of the ideals you want to be pushing towards. But it
can be more beneficial to have the leadership philosophy published or at least shared with a few
people because it increases your accountability. If you are the only one aware of your leadership
principles, you don t need to worry about others calling you out on doing something against your
values since no one has knowledge of them. On the other hand, if you are loosing your sense of
direction, a person who has seen your leadership philosophy statement can nudge you back in the right
direction. The objectives you want to deliver and the values you want to keep at the heart of your
leadership will be known. Even the knowledge that people have access to your statement or your

Demonstrative Communication is the process of sending and receiving messages. These messages

communication consists of oral and written messages, where nonverbal communication consist of
facial expressions, body posture, eye contact, and or hand gestures. Non verbal communication entails

On the other hand if a person is enjoying the conversation he/she will move closer to the other person
or will gently touch the other persons hand or shoulder. * Pros of non verbal communication come in
the form of self expression, such as a business woman wearing a power dress and showing confidence
in every step she takes, thus allowing her to get respect without verbally asking for it. * Cons of non
verbal communication come in the form of lacking complexity. For example a person cannot
communicate the story of a particular day to a friend without using words, unless he/she took the time
to mime every detail. The message would still not be able to be conveyed accurately, for instance the
person trying to explain cannot non verbally that he/she had a chicken salad sandwich and orange
juice for lunch. Nonverbal communication cannot communicate complex facts or concepts (Sutton,
2011). In regards to the sender of a message, this person needs to ensure the message is taken exactly
as intended. In other words if the sender wants to non verbally express a job well done by his or her
employee than the sender should offer a friendly pat on the shoulder, with a soft or confident tone.
This will express a positive non verbal communication. On the other hand if the senders tone is harsh
and the hand gestures are inappropriate the employee will take offense and not feel like he/she did a
good job. A receiver of a non verbal message can

How Does Bee Population Affect Society
Slide 1 I was inspired by the stimulus document A World without Work, by Derek Thompson. In the
document, Derek talks about the social and economic concerns with machines replacing factory
workers, but he completely ignores the environmental impact that humans make. Because of this, I
wanted to focus on an environmental issue that faces the U.S today that we as humans can help solve.
Slide 2 This lead me to the question, Should the United States stabilize the diminishing bee population
in reaction to Colony Collapse Disorder? And after my research, I have concluded that America
should actually become involved and stabilize the bee population, keeping them from going extinct.
Slide 3 Some background information that will help you further understand my argument and the topic
as a whole includes the importance of bees in our lives. Bees, and other pollinators, pollinate a third of
the world s crops that help feed multiple organisms. Every one bite of food out of three can be traced
back to involve a bee. However, the bees have been recently dying rapidly due to CCD, or Colony
Collapse Disorder. This natural disease was first recorded in 2006 in Pennsylvania by a beekeeper.

and people started working to make the future different. Society use to work together for mutual

Goddamnit Johnny Depp s ruining the film! Is it drunk? Is it gay? So I fully expected to be fired.
Depp recalled how producers of the now blockbuster franchise hated how he appeared to smear his

Emotional Intelligence, By Daniel Goleman
In the book, Emotional Intelligence, Daniel Goleman discusses what emotional intelligence is, how it
can be achieved, and why it can matter more than your IQ. Emotional intelligence, by his definition, is
the ability to recognize and understand both our personal emotions and the emotions of others. This
also includes the ability to manage our personal emotions. He introduces us to the topic and the
history of the brain, discusses the importance of it in our lives, marriage, and business, and concludes
by suggesting it should be developed during childhood when the brain is still developing. However,
this does not mean our emotional intelligence skills cannot be sharpened and taught during adulthood.
According to Goleman, academic intelligence has little to do with emotional life (Goleman, 34) and
therefore does not correlate immensely with success. More specifically, he says IQ contributes about
20% to the factors that determine life success, which leaves 80% to other forces... ranging from social
class to luck (34). Essentially, this means that just because you are smart, it does not mean you will be
successful. You must have social skills and good standing. Studies have found that having a high IQ,
but low emotional intelligence results in a sort of detachment a lack of understanding and a lack of
interest in the world. By contrast, a low IQ and high emotional intelligence result in an outgoing and
cheerful personality, with a desire to live life and find meaning in

The And Social Justice Fellows
The week had been strenuous, yet productive. The multiple meetings with fellow organizations and
countless hours of volunteer services depleted my energy. Add the hours of academic work, and well, I
could never complain that my life was uneventful. On this eventful day, the Social Justice Fellows
were holding our monthly guest speaker meeting. Although at the time I was feeling lethargic, the
monthly meetings always gave me a boost of inspiration. I have an affinity towards academia and
activism, but an even stronger affinity towards intellectual discourse. Which these meetings never left
me disappointed. On this day our guest speakers were a group of community activist, mental health
workers, and a few professors. For the hour we discussed intersectional systems of oppression that
affect black women (and people of color), ways as activist that we may combat these inequalities, and
the psychological impact of unbalanced power structures create for the individual. The discussion was
thought provoking; as always, however I found myself in a conundrum. Here I sat in a room with
women whom I admired and also worked with. Their passions an infinite spectrum ranging from
environmental justice to demanding a pay increase for our cafeteria workers. I shared almost every
part of my existence with these women. We shared a common living space, attended the same classes,
and faithfully crowded in the living room Thursday nights to watch How to Get Away With Murder. I
could always count

Macbeth And A Midsummer Night s Dream Analysis
Through the many different dynamics that have happened throughout both of these films Macbeth and
A Midsummer Night s Dream, both of them have had very different type of dynamics with different
characters. When I watched Macbeth and A Midsummer Night s Dream, I found one relationship for
each of the films. Most dynamics are provoked by the antagonist s reactions but they aren t really
shown. I will be comparing the dynamics in both of the relationships of the two different films as well
as the dramatic means by which they are being established by. Throughout the two films there will be
differences in both but there will also be similarities for the dramatic means which are being stated. As
for the dramatic means that they are being established by, is the way they show how their
disagreement and which is the reason that caused it to happen. Therefor the rest of relationships that
are happening do happen to have an impact to the two relationships that I will be talking about. This
being the case, the two relationships I wanted to talk about was Macbeth and Lady Macbeth from the
film Macbeth and from A Midsummer Night s Dream I will be talking about Lysander and Helena. As
Macbeth meets up with the three witches, they begin to talk to him and one of the witches predicts that
he will be king. At the beginning, Macbeth would respect King Duncan and because he had thought he
was going to be King according to the witches. He thought, if he killed King Duncan

Anja kept this picture always. I have it still now in my desk! On page 134 of MAUS II: And Here My

with his father Vladek tells how his past wife Anja had received a picture of him after not have seen

Whistling Vivaldi Chapter Summary
Growing up many of us learns about racism, probably from reading To Kill a Mocking Bird, or other
such works. One thing we don t learn about is stereotype threat. This is an issue Claude Steele delves
into in depth in his book Whistling Vivaldi. Claude Steele himself, being black, grew up with
segregation and racism. This is something that affected his entire life. When he gets offered a job at
the University of Washington he develops a special interest in stereotype threat when he sees the
minority students underperforming despite have equal or higher SAT scores upon entering the college.
This is when he really develops his interest in stereotype threat and with fellow colleagues develops a
group of experiments to explore more about this topic. In the first three chapters of this book Steele
sets the stage for the coming experiments, and delves into the process of showing us how stereotype
threat negatively affects our lives. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He explains this book is about identity contingencies the things you have to deal with in a situation
because you have a given social identity (pg.3). Steele says that by imposing on us certain conditions
of life, our social identities can strongly affect things as important as our performances in the
classroom and on standardized tests, our memory capacity, our athletic performance, the pressure we
feel to prove ourselves, even the comfort level we have with people of different groups... (pg.4). These
contingences are things people have to deal with every day, things they might not even realize they are

How Snowboarding Changed My Life
Hunter S. Thompson once said, Anything that gets your blood racing is probably worth doing.
Throughout life you are probably going to change hobbies and try new things, but your passion is an
activity that you can enjoy doing for the rest of your life. The thing that gets my blood racing is
snowboarding. It has helped me face my fears as a shy and unconfident girl, and bring joy and
excitement to my life. I believe that I will always be able to turn to snowboarding during anytime
throughout my life.
At the age of twelve I started skiing. Not by choice, but because my grade was going and my mom
thought it was an easy way to get out of teaching me herself. Well anyway, after that terrifying trip I
loved it, and believe it or not, I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was pleasant enough to be able to stand comfortably outside in a light jacket or sweatshirt. A perfect
day to glide down a powdery mountain along with my best friend. The anticipation was building as I
sat in the back of Mrs. Smith s eighth grade classroom. In a matter of minutes I would be packing my
gear into the car and traveling toward impending doom: Sundown Mountain, twenty one runs of
exhilaration and danger. At that point in time I didn t know whether to be excited or nervous.
Snowboarding was completely new to me, not too much different than skiing except for the fact that
my balance would be shifted differently. I struggled enough as it was keeping my balance on skis.
How could I possibly be able to successfully maintain my balance on a board?
At last, the bell finally rung, and I was headed home to get my gear. Hastily packing because lessons
began at approximately 4:30, with about an hour drive. I hopped in the car next to Carolyn with
minimal excitement. My nerves began to set in. I sat back and attempted to relax while we traveled
past Delaware onto Earlville. Watching cars and fields pass by aided me to relieve some stress. I
quickly forgot where I was going and why. Time flew by in that red Ford Escape. The trip from
Manchester to Asbury seemed to only take fifteen minutes instead of forty five. We arrived far too
soon, yet we were still late.
The parking lot was packed with eager snowboarders and skiers filled with excitement to begin their

What Is The Humanistic Approach In Psychology
1. Psychodynamic psychology focuses on making sense of individual relationships, experiences, and
how people view the world. This approach says our behaviors and feelings are effected by
unconscious motives. Our feelings are greatly influenced by our past experiences and are stored in our
unconscious.
2. The behavioral approach to psychology views people as controlled by their environment.
Behaviorism proposes two main processes by which people learn from their environment. The
processes are: classical and operant conditioning. Classical conditioning involves learning by
association. Operant conditioning involves learning from the consequence of a behavior.

5 Steps to the Scientific Research Method
1. Perceiving the Question
The scientific method starts when you ask a question about something you have observed: How, what,
when , who, why, or where?
2. Forming a Hypothesis
A hypothesis is an educated guess. It is an attempt to answer your question with an explanation that
can be tested.
3. Testing the Hypothesis
You test your hypothesis by doing an experiment. Your experiment will tell you whether your
prediction is correct.
4. Drawing a Conclusion
Once your experiment is finished, you analyze your data. Your hypothesis may or may not be correct.
If your hypothesis is not supported, you may want to conduct further experiments to answer your
question.
5. Reporting your Results
The final step is to report your findings. You would record your hypothesis, what your experiment
was, and why. Lastly, log your findings and what the results mean.

  • 2. The Atomic Bomb Essays August 6th, 1945, 70,0000 lives were ended in a matter of seconds. The United States had dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. Today many argue whether or not the U.S. should have taken such a drastic measure. Was it entirely necessary that we drop such a devastating weapon? To answer that first we must look at was going on in the world at the time of the conflict. The U.S. had been fighting a massive war since 1941. Moral was most likely low, and resources were at the same level as moral. Still both sides continued to fight and both were determined to win. Obviously the best thing that could have possibly happened would have been to bring the war to a quick end with a minimum of allied casualties. Harry Truman s decision to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We shall continue to use it until we completely destroy Japan s power to make war. This quote embodies the spirit of the American people of the time. The public was eager for a quick end to the war and American casualties. Also Truman threatens to utilize the A bomb s power again until we are victorious. In hindsight it is clear the correct decision was made. How can anyone be certain that Japan would have continued to fight? It is possible that they were preparing for surrender, no one can say for certain exactly what would have happened but by examining evidence of Japanese culture and warfare it is obvious that would not have been the case. At the time of WWII systematic and organized education made efficient quot;brainwashing quot; possible. In public schools, students were taught to die for the emperor. By late 1944, a slogan of Jusshi Reisho meaning, quot;Sacrifice life, quot; was taught. In addition to civilian s dedication to their country, there was a group of military pilots called the Kamikaze. Kamikaze were suicide pilots. They would load up an airplane and try to nose dive it into an enemy target. Think about what must be on that pilot s mind. Imagine the undying love for his country. He would fight to the bitter end for his emperor. The most frightening part of this is that the entire Japanese military thought this way. The fact that the enemy is willing to die so long as you die with him is not something ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. The Implementation Of Charter Schools Implementation of charter schools in LAUSD by George Szabo Introduction to Public Management and Policy POSC / CRJU 320 Dr. Samuel B. Stone California State University, Fullerton September 29, 2015 $490 million dollar plan In California there is frequent debate over the performance of public schools throughout the state. It is known that many of the state s public schools are poorly funded and lay in disrepair. It is also accompanied by bad test scores and underperforming students which is not necessarily the schools fault. Article one discusses a possible solution with an ambitious $490 million plan to place half of Los Angeles students into charter schools within the next eight years. Charter schools are publicly financed, independently run and are exempt from some of the rules that govern other traditional campuses. Details of the plan have yet to be released but the major contributors include the locally based Eli and Edyth Broad Foundation along with the Keck and Walton Family Foundations and other charter advocates. The proposed plan would create 260 new charter schools and enroll at least 130,000 students (Blume 2015). The foundations have publicly declined to release important information on the policy but apparently have a strategy in place for moving forward, including the recruitment and training of teachers and how to raise money. The plan has already encountered a lot of resistance from the powerful L.A. Unified unions. Critics of the plan claim ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Redefining Gender Roles Of A Streetcar Named Desire Oscar Madera Dr. Amaya Anderson ENGL 103 8 May 2016 Dissecting Gender Roles in A Streetcar Named Desire The representation of gender roles is among the most prominent recurring subjects in theatre, literature and expressive art as we know it. Gender, and what it means to human beings, is a subject that is as difficult to precisely define as death, race, and the concept of existence. Anne Beall, Ph.D. graduate in Social Psychology at Yale University, details in her book The Psychology of Gender that Gender is socially defined masculinity and femininity. Social psychology studies how gender is defined, created, and maintained through social influence, especially in the course of social interaction (Beall; 10). The nature of gender roles is ultimately dictated by temporal, societal, biological and even geographical dimensions that are out of our control and though it is a given that gender as a concept has kept as relevant as it is ancient, there has only been under a hundred years of significant progress or general awareness on the matter. The subject matter of important art in any given time period is a reflection of that society s most urgent struggles and the topic of gender has remained a constant across human history. The physical and emotional features of characters in art and literature are manifestations of the creator s perception on subjects such race and gender. The message that a creator seeks to deliver on a topic, determines how they will convey the thoughts, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

War and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Essay In this era, war is considered to be a part of life and that the world will always have conflicts and the only way to resolve these conflicts is by military force. As of May 2014, there are multiple sources of conflict throughout the world, and a large majority of them result in war and tragedy. From the war in Iraq, threats from North Korea, and Russia creating friction with Ukraine, war surrounds and engulfs the world through media, via television sets that are commonly found in many households. Bunton (2009) stated that, scarring is another unwanted risk of having plastic surgery. Sometimes incisions do not heal properly, and the skin develops a thick edge and granular tissue. This is one of the main reasons; plastic surgeons try to make incisions in places where any scars that develop will be less noticeable as it heals. In some cases, scarring is mild, and will become more unnoticeable as time goes by, while in more than a few cases, scarring is very noticeable, and permanent. Other unsatisfactory results that can come with scarring are blood clots called hematomas, skin necrosis and toxic shock syndrome. Our body s natural instinct is to heal and protect. Sometimes the protection of our natural defenses can cause us harm if not taken care of as soon as possible. Hematomas, which is one of our many defenses, is a collection of blood outside the blood vessels, generally caused by internal bleeding. In most cases the body creates sacs of blood (blood clots) to keep internal bleeding to a minimum. Blood clots usually disappear with no certain time frame but could also continue to grow and would need to be surgically removed before they erupt. The Muslims were tolerant rulers who wanted all their citizens, whether Muslim, Jewish or Christian to participate in the life of the new commonwealth they had founded. In wake of the new tolerant Muslim leaders, a golden age of Jewish immigration dawned in Al Andalus. Middle Eastern as well as North African Jewish immigrants poured into Al Andals by the thousands. At the Jewish population s peak in the 10th century, Al Andalus was by far the largest Jewish centre in all of Europe. Jews were very well integrated and had phenomenal access to the highest levels of power. The Jews were especially well integrated into economic and social life, regularly doing business and interacting with Muslims. Society was very open and Muslims rulers were not threatened by the minorities and were accommodating. Impact Of Consumer Culture In The 1950s During the 1950 s art took a major turn in history from traditional styles depicting people and scenes of everyday life to abstract thoughts and ideas that were transformed onto a canvas to express emotions and ideals in society. People, events, and society have always impacted several styles of art, but the consumer culture in the 1950 s impacted art in a new completely unique way. Post WWII society was more industrialized and more focused on developing and selling new products. The postwar generation had more disposable income to spend on the latest and greatest products and the market turned to advertisements in mass media to get their products out there to consumers. With televisions and films increasing in popularity the market flooded these forms of media with catchy flashy ads that showed favorable people like movie stars using products. With the increasing use of mass media, the culture shifted to consumerism which effectively shifted art as well. Art was directly impacted by the consumer culture because of society s use of advertisements, photographs, and films which artists like Richard Hamilton and Andy Warhol used those elements in their own works to portray the change of societal standards in a new modern style of art called pop art. During the 1950 s in people were concerned with the idea of consumerism which meant that society was constantly looking for the next best product to come on the market. • 18. Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) The Electronic Communications Privacy Act ( ECPA ) was passed in 1986 to update the 1968 Title III Wiretap Act, the federal statute that first prohibited the actual or intentional interception communications without judicial authorization (Wiretap Act, 1968). The 1968 act only concerned wire and oral communications; a wire communication was defined as any communication made in whole or in part through the use of [common carrier] facilities for the [interstate or foreign] transmission of communications by the aid of wire, cable, or other like connection between the point of origin and the point of reception, and oral communication was defined as any oral communication uttered by a person exhibiting an expectation [of privacy]. ECPA sought to amend the Wiretap Act in order to accommodate privacy protections for the increasingly prolific use of electronic devices in communications between citizens that do not apply to the original definitions (Comm. on the Judiciary, 1986). ECPA consisted of three titles: the first title amended the 1968 Wiretap Act, the second title addressed stored communications, and the title addressed pen registers and trap and trace devices. Title I of ECPA introduces the term electronic communication defined as any communication not carried by sound waves and [those that] cannot fairly be categorized as containing the human voice with four explicit exceptions to this definition (ECPA, 1986). When stranded on a deserted island, the group of boys starts out civilized. However, by the end, the loss of innocence has turned most of them savage. Humans are essentially good. Jack is both good and evil in the book. I agree with Ralph, we ve got to have rules and obey them. After all, we re not savages (Golding 42). In the beginning, even Jack wanted a good society with rules and a leader. They all agreed to vote for a chief and have a civilization. Ralph says, This is our island. It s a good island. Until the grown ups come to fetch us we ll have fun (35). Jack thinks about the others and their well being. Piggy says, How can you expect to be rescued if you don t put first things first and act proper? (45). Jack agrees with Piggy about the importance of rescuing them all off the island. He helps explain to the others that they need to listen to Ralph if they want to survive on the island. Even though in the end, Jack becomes the enemy, the beginning shows that he is good. However, without rules and adults to enforce them, he becomes a dictator. Simon, however, is truly good. Then, amid the roar of bees, in the afternoon sunlight, Simon found for the littluns the fruit they could not reach (56). Simon, the Christ like figure, represents the good in the book. The liver also has an excretory role, as it removes the yellowish bile pigment formed by the brake down of RBCs and puts them into the bile for elimination from the body. The hepatic ducts drain the bile out of the liver and form the common bile duct that drains the bile into the duodenum. The gallbladder is a sac attached to the undersurface of the liver. It has a folded interior and functions to concentrate and store the bile produced by the liver. When there is no chyme in the duodenum the sphincter muscles within the duodenum remain closed and the bile back up the common bile duct into the cystic duct that leads into the gallbladder. The gallbladder concentrates the bile by re absorbing water from the bile back into the blood. The bile contains the bile salts that emulsify the fats in the chime. The Theory Of Decision Making In our everyday life we are in front of multiple decisions to take, from the easy ones as what coffee to get to the more complicated ones, as what jobs to apply for. The word Decision originated from Latin word de ciso which indicates cutting off . This implicates that the act of deciding is to come to a conclusion among different options. How many options are available though? Throughout the years, many behavioural scientists proposed different theories in order to explain how we face decisions and act before them. Do we calculate them all accurately before cutting off ? One of the most recognized theories for decision making is the von Neumann Morgenstern utility theorem (1944), which states that the decision maker in front of all the different choices will behave as if he is maximizing the expected value of some function defined over the potential outcomes. Based on the expected utility, the von Neumann Morgenstern model is constructed upon the fundamental assumption that humans behave in a perfect rational way being able to calculate all the options and choosing among them the one that allows to maximize the expected utility. However, as the major critics to this model sustain, individuals are not fully rational when taking decisions. Their cognitive process is limited to the complexity of the environment in which they are taking decisions. • 42. Emotional Intelligence, By Daniel Goleman In the book, Emotional Intelligence, Daniel Goleman discusses what emotional intelligence is, how it can be achieved, and why it can matter more than your IQ. Emotional intelligence, by his definition, is the ability to recognize and understand both our personal emotions and the emotions of others. This also includes the ability to manage our personal emotions. He introduces us to the topic and the history of the brain, discusses the importance of it in our lives, marriage, and business, and concludes by suggesting it should be developed during childhood when the brain is still developing. However, this does not mean our emotional intelligence skills cannot be sharpened and taught during adulthood. According to Goleman, academic intelligence has little to do with emotional life (Goleman, 34) and therefore does not correlate immensely with success. More specifically, he says IQ contributes about 20% to the factors that determine life success, which leaves 80% to other forces... ranging from social class to luck (34). Essentially, this means that just because you are smart, it does not mean you will be successful. You must have social skills and good standing. Studies have found that having a high IQ, but low emotional intelligence results in a sort of detachment a lack of understanding and a lack of interest in the world. By contrast, a low IQ and high emotional intelligence result in an outgoing and cheerful personality, with a desire to live life and find meaning in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Add the hours of academic work, and well, I could never complain that my life was uneventful. On this eventful day, the Social Justice Fellows were holding our monthly guest speaker meeting. Although at the time I was feeling lethargic, the monthly meetings always gave me a boost of inspiration. I have an affinity towards academia and activism, but an even stronger affinity towards intellectual discourse. Which these meetings never left me disappointed. On this day our guest speakers were a group of community activist, mental health workers, and a few professors. For the hour we discussed intersectional systems of oppression that affect black women (and people of color), ways as activist that we may combat these inequalities, and the psychological impact of unbalanced power structures create for the individual. The discussion was thought provoking; as always, however I found myself in a conundrum. Here I sat in a room with women whom I admired and also worked with. Their passions an infinite spectrum ranging from environmental justice to demanding a pay increase for our cafeteria workers. I shared almost every part of my existence with these women. We shared a common living space, attended the same classes, and faithfully crowded in the living room Thursday nights to watch How to Get Away With Murder. Macbeth And A Midsummer Night s Dream Analysis Through the many different dynamics that have happened throughout both of these films Macbeth and A Midsummer Night s Dream, both of them have had very different type of dynamics with different characters. When I watched Macbeth and A Midsummer Night s Dream, I found one relationship for each of the films. Most dynamics are provoked by the antagonist s reactions but they aren t really shown. I will be comparing the dynamics in both of the relationships of the two different films as well as the dramatic means by which they are being established by. Throughout the two films there will be differences in both but there will also be similarities for the dramatic means which are being stated. As for the dramatic means that they are being established by, is the way they show how their disagreement and which is the reason that caused it to happen. Therefor the rest of relationships that are happening do happen to have an impact to the two relationships that I will be talking about. This being the case, the two relationships I wanted to talk about was Macbeth and Lady Macbeth from the film Macbeth and from A Midsummer Night s Dream I will be talking about Lysander and Helena. As Macbeth meets up with the three witches, they begin to talk to him and one of the witches predicts that he will be king. At the beginning, Macbeth would respect King Duncan and because he had thought he was going to be King according to the witches. He thought, if he killed King Duncan ...
