E. B. Du Bois in a simple dialogue; In the poem it is about two great leaders of the black
community, Booker T and W.E.B sharing their beliefs. Randall wrote this poem during the
segregation, when African Americans were fighting for their freedom and rights. Booker T see
African American labor work is for the benefit of the black community. Booker T is basically
saying that slavery is not bad and that slavery should not be removed. W.E.B disagrees with
Booker T ,,,he believes that African Americans should stand up for their freedom and not be put
to work as slaves. Randall uses rhyme in the poem to interpret Brooker T perspectives and
W.E.B perspectives. In the first stanza Booker said When Mister Charlie needs a hand to hoe

Brooker T is saying that African Americans do not need education because they already have a
job to do as lower calles serfs working for white people. He is saying that slavery is not a bad
thing and that African Americans should stay slaves. In the second stanza W.E.B disagrees, he
said that Charles and Miss can look another place for hand or cook . He believes that African
Americans should fight for their freedom and should be treated as an equal citizen. One of the first

Clytemnestra in the Electra is the widow of Agamemnon, the national hero and adulterer. She killed
her own husband claiming that it was out of revenge for Agamemnon sacrificing their daughter,
Iphagenia.
She is tough and not easily misled. In the Electra she comes over as a strong willed mother who
cannot get on the same level with her daughter. Electra sarcastically mocks her mother and a quarrel
arises from any conversational topic.

One very famous director which has earned the right to be titled an Auteur is Quentin Tarantino.
Tarantino writes, directs and sometimes even acts in his own films and specialises in action as
well as adventure. A majority of his films are all from the top of his head and they usually
consist a lot of blood, gore and violence. He intends to use the same characters in more than one
film, for example he uses Uma Thurman as his leading lady in more than one movie and another

snowboarding was called a Snurfer. A Snurfer was a simple board and rope that Sherman Poppen

A few Fridays ago in the west end of downtown, Davenport I was walking into my friend s house
with her son Bentley. The first thing we always do is talk about his school day. He got very
excited and threw a big, brown sack at me. I slowly opened it up and realized it was a heavily
packed lunch bag. Bentley went on to explain that his school sends food home with all the
children on the weekends, because most of them cannot afford much to eat, especially on the
weekends. I had never seen a school that went out of its way to help children that are in such
desperate need. I wish all school districts went above and beyond like Bentley s does; however
that is not always the case. Across the United States, elementary school employees/officials need to
be more actively aware of the impact povertyhas on young children s academics. Children living
in poverty are offered a wide range of resources in regards to malnutrition. Quindlen specifies, 15
million students get free or cut rate lunches at school, and many of them get breakfast, too
(School s out for Summer). Young children that receive good, balanced, nutritional meals are
more likely to attend school as well as have better study habits than those that don t receive the
necessary nourishment. For the most part, in communities that can afford to give poverty stricken
families free or reduced lunch there is almost always an option for children to get fed during the
week at school. Another reliable resource that many elementary schools offer is free lunches for
students as well as their families during the summer to ensure that children eat at least once a day
while school is out. Walczak stresses, in an area where many students receive free or reduced price
school lunches, providing a solution for lunch during the summer is essential to the children s well

poor situations to always eat when they can, because it encourages good performance in school.
