Dr. Phil s Short Story
Dr. Phil loved the earth s layers. He spent every minute of his life reading theories and watching
videos about them and he always wanted to see the layers. One day, he finally made his drill that
could drill down into the earth and see all the layers as well as learn about them. Dr. Phil put on
his special pressure and cooling suit and set out. As he drilled down he could feel the pressure
getting stronger and stronger.
He got deeper and deeper and came down right in front of Crusty s face. Crusty was in the middle
of his daily walk so he was raged. Dr. Phil could hear him screaming and said Sorry. Crusty said it s
ok. why are you here? to learn about earth s layers said Dr. Phil Oh said Crusty i ll tell ... Show

Phil got to the last layer of the Earth, the Inner Core.
Wow! The last layer! exclaimed Dr. Phil, very excited.
Oh... hello. I wasn t expecting any visitors. said the mysterious blob of solid iron.
Hi! My name is Dr. Phil and I was here to learn more about the layers of the Earth! I also brought
Crusty, Monica, and Spike with me! Dr. Phil happily told the blob.
Oh, hello my friends! Welcome to the last layer, the Inner Core. Since you told a little about
yourself I will tell a little about myself. This layer is the last and smallest. It is 1,250 kilometers
thick and 5000 to 6000 degrees celsius. this place is pretty hot if I do say so myself. Its also made
of Nickel and Iron. Though I am small, I am slowly growing larger and larger. The blob informed
them.
I guess that s all I need to know about you.
Yep. By the way, my name is Boba
Thanks for telling Boba! Well, I have to get back to the surface.
Have a great trip back, Dr. Phil and the others.
Thanks! Dr. Phil got back into the drill, turned around, and left.
That was amazing! Dr. Phil shouted as he took of his heavy suit. It was already night when he was
back from his adventure, but he still took the time to write down all what he saw and heard in his
blue scientific journal. By midnight, he was already asleep, dreaming about what he would do the
next time he went down into the

Employee Satisfaction, Efficiency And The Training
During this paper I will talk about the different ways an organization has to approach employee
satisfaction, efficiency and the training that these need in order to accomplish their goals. One
of the most important requirements for an organization in order to be successful is the way
employee works, so in order to get better results I will talk about the different ways named
before. Starting for one of the ways, I will talk about how to get employees satisfied with their
work. If we consider that an organization is a system of consciously coordinated activities aimed
at the realization of collective goals, then this has to deal with keeping a positive attitude in
member satisfaction and adequate if you want to achieve your own goals. The organization
must try to keep the satisfied members, getting them to perform their tasks as well as possible
and to ensure that the results we want to achieve will be borne by all of its members and that
they bring their energy, their skills and their efforts to reach them. There is no research evidence
that there is always a strong and positive relationship between job satisfaction and performance.
A satisfied worker is not necessarily a high performer and a high performer is not necessarily a
satisfied worker. Satisfaction may lead to good performance but good performance may just as
well be the cause of satisfaction. The relationship can be reciprocal . (Armstrong, 2007) Satisfaction

Falling Birth Rates And Its Effects
Falling Birth Rates This earth is full of people. The population is a little over seven billion people
(Falling Birthrates). So much happens but the majority only pays attention to so little. Falling birth
rates are necessary, because there is more opportunities, there will be more for those who are in
need, and mankind are too much for this earth. There are so much more opportunities with less
people. They are more likely to all get a job, insurance and more. The unemployment rate is so
high because so many people have taken all the jobs. As of right now the unemployment rate is

the pollution is so bad that people wear masks. The air alone is gray and musky. There is a little

Matthew Shepard Analysis
Society s view on sexuality has played a pivotal role in the equality of the gay community. Their
existence is often ignored as there is a stigma against their lifestyle and those who choose to reveal
their identity are either attacked or shunned away. The fatality of Matthew Shepard during the late
90s proved to show that some parts of society had not yet accepted homosexuality. Whether or not
acceptance is relevant today, the play works to address the issues of sexuality through Matthew and
have the audience understand the reality of the lives tormented by hate.
Shepard s character reveals to the audience the issues of sexuality by serving as a martyr for the
gay community. Sadly his death would then only bring the attention needed to recognize anti gay
hate crimes and awaken the movement needed to replace hate with understanding and
acceptance. As an audience, we regrettably understand that when a tragic event occurs, only then
do we decide to act. Most people are unaware that they have the power to prevent hate crimes by
educating their communities about sexuality and taking away the dogmatic view that only
heterosexuality is normal. One could think of Matthew as a Christ figure, whom he is sacrificed
for the sake of change considering that his death received national attention to anti gay
sentiment. Throughout history there have been worse crimes but never received as much
attention as Laramie. To have one person represent the struggles of the gay community is not
acceptable and the audience needs to understand that there will be more crimes. The residents
Laramie declare they have a live and let live mentality as opposed to the rest of Wyoming.
Whether this mentality is relevant for the rest of the United States, it reaches out to the audience
to question whether they feel the same as those in Laramie. As a society, we choose to avoid
people who don t fit our agenda and as long as they don t come in contact with us, we are ok with
them. This type of mentality is more of a silent treatment. The indifference can be shown by
characters such as Sherry Johnson, wife of a police officer. While she does express sympathy for
Matthew Shepard, she also feels that he is granted a special privilege for

Gothic Literature Research Paper
The Structure of Gothic Literature Gothic literature starts with some realistic and some being
fictitious, the authors will distributes their stories with characteristics seen in reality or heard in
fairytales. Spirits, mystery, and entrapment are gothic characteristics preserved throughout the
works of Morgenstern, Irving, Hawthorne, and Poe. Spirts are used between The Devil and
Tom Walker and Night Circus to show the horrific side of the dead. In The Devil and Tom
Walker , Irving uses the Old Scratch to resemble the devil. As Tom Walker makes a deal with

Disadvantages Of Doing Business In Canada
This report is to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of doing business with Canada. One of
the main disadvantages is that the population is shifting into an overpopulated senior population
and the repercussion of this is the difficulties in pleasing the younger and older generations
simultaneously. Canadais filled with rich recourses beneficial for trade and gives us a competitive
advantage, items such as Oil Sands, Oil and gas, lumber, and water. The public infrastructure in
Canada is still a work in progress, but we strongly excels economically and is estimated that it will

It s the public infrastructure that includes aspects like roads, water, mains, sewers, bridges that
allows people to live out their daily lives and improves Canada s efficiency. The possibility of
having a successful business in Canadian depends on innovative and efficient infrastructure. Ottawa
would be a main example of lack of instruction in a 1st world city consists of one train system; the
O Train (that s just being made) and bus routes that are satisfactory. Ottawa has begun its
renovations for the new transitways but it will possibly take years to complete the final product.
The O train scheduled to finish in 2018, however the city needs a strategy that connects the main
locations using the transitway otherwise the likely hood of it being done on time will be low. Even
though the nation s capital lacks the public infrastructure, there are many other cities in Canada that
has better designed infrastructure for business such as Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. The
future for Ottawa is heading in the direction of attracting international business given the transitway
continues to expand and improve in its services. Highways in Canada is a large transportation in

Shakespeare s Theory Of Sir Francis Bacon Vs. William...
There are a variety of theories that suggest that Sir Francis Bacon was, in fact, William
Shakespeare. Supporters of these claims refer to Shakespeare s writing style, lack of education, and
reportedly hidden messages within his texts as some of the evidence that indicates that Bacon was
the real author of the many plays and poems attributed to Shakespeare. These assertions do not
conclusively substantiate the Bacon theory and only attempt to discredit the real William
Shakespeare. Therefore, Sir Francis Bacon did not write as William Shakespeare. The first theory
of Sir Francis Bacon being the true author of Shakespeare, came from the author Delia Bacon no

However, just because it was stated that way, does not mean that Sir Francis Bacon wrote under
the name William Shakespeare. Anybody could write their name beside a famous authors name,
such as J.R. Rowling, that does not mean that this random person wrote all her novels. In this
time, it was very common for multiple publications to have the same phrases stated in them, this
does not mean that for every piece of work with the same statement in it, was written by the
same author. If this were the case, then why are there not more philosophies as too who wrote
Shakespeare? Sir Francis Bacon and Shakespeare did have a very different style of writing. Sir
Francis Bacon s writings was more stilted and abrupt compared to those works of Shakespeare .
Bacon did his best work when he viewed life from an ancient elevation or when he looked back
through the silver haze of the years at the earlier thoughts, for only then did he write of
experiences common to mankind. . Plus, Bacon practically never spoke unwholesomely about
people, were as Shakespeare would make fun of people in his works. The similarity and identity
of statement in their works, however remarkable they may seem at first glance, appear, after close
examination, to be the result of the use of the literary stock in trade of the age .

Cocaine And Its Effects On Society
Cocaine is one of the oldest, most powerful and most dangerous stimulants in the world. This
powerfully addictive drug effects over 35 million people In the United States. Cocaine addiction
prevents a person from being a productive member in our society. It also increases the cost for law
enforcement and treatment facilities. It rapidly decreases the workplace, increases the homeless

Over three thousand years before the Jesus Christ was born, ancient Incas in the Andes chewed
coca leaves to get their hearts going so it would speed up their breathing to counter the effects of

The Day Of Canada With My Brother
Today is the day. I am going to Canada with my brother, Justin. We have packed for two weeks
worth of things, and we are very excited to go.
Justin! I called out.
We are going to be late! I exclaimed.
Just a minute, I am finishing up on packing! He exclaimed. I walked downstairs to go see if there
was anything I could help with. I walked into Justin s room and found him playing his Xbox.
I thought you said you were packing... I said suspiciously.
I was... He started to explain. Let s just go now! I said. I pulled his arm, got his stuff, and then
started to head out to the car.
Mom! Are you ready to drop us off? I asked. Yes! Are you sure you want to go to Canada all by
yourself? It will be you, and your thirteen year old twin brother. And of course, you will be staying
with some of your friends. My mom said.
We will be fine. Justin said.
It was two hours later. Justin and I were just sitting at the airport with the airport lady that was
looking after us. Then they called our flight. We got on the plane. Ten minutes later and we were in
the sky. Everything was so small from above. Then, I heard a loud clanging sound. Are you okay?
Justin asked.
I m fine... but what is that loud sound? I asked.
I think he will know the answer. I thought. He wants to be a pilot when he grows up. I thought. I
think that is the sound of the airplane breaking down. He said. After a couple seconds of him

Best Practices Fo A New ERP System Implementation
Implementing A New ERP System Into The Enterprise:
Best Practices in Project and Change Management
Introduction
The most significant costs and risks a company can take are in re aligning its core business
processes and systems to allow for greater responsiveness to market opportunities and threats.
Increasingly Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are being used as the unifying platform
for all systems throughout an enterprise. As a result, the project, implementation, training and
support plans often must be carefully devised and implemented across nontechnical and technical
personnel to ensure the overall project s success. ERP systems especially are fulfilling a critical role
in the managing of enterprises, taking on the tasks of managing accounting, financial reporting,
supply chain management, logistics and ongoing quality management of products, processes and the
role of people in adding value to finished goods and services (Ash, Burn, 2003). ERP has become
the catalyst of entirely new approaches to using information, including the ongoing development of
analytics and business intelligence (BI) applications that are giving executives greater visibility into
their operations than ever before (Ash, Burn, 2003). In addition to analytics and BI, companies are
aggressively pursuing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems that give them the
ability to more effectively track and evaluate the performance of marketing and selling strategies.

Letter To Lululemon Essay
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter today. Lululemon is a store, which I visit often,
due to the clothing being modern and popular. However, I am writing you today to address a
problem I ran into at your stores and to propose a possible solution.
I noticed that Lululemon clothing prices are marked up a great percentage than what a fair price
would be. The fabric advertised is a special mix, Luon. However, after completing research, many
brands, such as Athleta and Adidas, use a similar mix and their pants are lower in price. This would
not be so much of a problem for Lululemon if the quality matched the price. Yet, there have been
complaints from Lululemon customers where the clothing displayed pilling or sheerness after just a
few washes something I too have experienced. A customerexpects good quality from their clothing,
especially if they are willing to spend a large amount of money on it.
I have a proposal to solve the problem. A successful solution would include the criteria of being
affordable for everyone, creating a competitive market with athletic brands, and maintaining the
quality of clothing.
My solution is to lower the price of the clothing to match the quality. This would create a fair price
that would compete with other athletic clothing stores. On the ... Show more content on

With this solution being said, there are potential objections. First of all, it could be argued that
Lululemon would lose money by lowering the cost of clothing. This is not necessarily true as
people already buy the clothing at the current price. Therefore, lowering the price would
theoretically increase the sales dramatically, which in turn means Lululemon is making more
money. A second objection is the fact that the pants are expensive due to the brand name. While this
is true, having an even slightly lower price would attract more customers and grow the brand

Compare And Contrast Western Medicine And Chinese Medicine
It is important to grasp that one cannot understand Traditional Chinese Medicine by trying to
explain it in Western scientific or medical terms. The ancient Chinese physicians developed a
system of medicine that has survived for over three thousand years. Chinese medicine is complete
within itself but that it is based on physiological concepts, theories regarding cause of disease,
methods of diagnosis, and principles of treatment that are completely different from the western
way of viewing the body.
One way to understand how two medical systems can view the body differently without one
system being right and the other system being wrong is to use the analogy of a map. For
example, compare a road map and a topographical map of the city of Waco. Both maps represent
the same area, but they do so in very different ways. As long as both maps are based on accurate
information, serve as useful tools for their intended purposes, and have been created with self
consistent logic, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Western medicine is like the road map. Depending on the size and scale of the map, a road map
can offer very detailed representation of countries, states, counties, cities, neighborhoods, and even
individual buildings. If you were using a map to select the shortest route to an appointment across
town, you would choose one with quite a small scale and then you would disregard parts of the
map that did not pertain the roads and highways that you plan to use. This is similar to the way that
Western medicine views the body as a collection of distinct parts (organs, tissues, cells) that can be
taken apart and considered in isolation. Diagnosis and treatment of disease in Western medicine
involves using signs, symptoms, and various diagnostic tests to pinpoint the disordered part(s) of
the body and then counteract these signs and symptoms with medications, surgery, or other

Techniques such as irrigation, intercropping, and crop rotation have progressively increased
efficiency in agriculture, maintaining the potential growth for global agribusiness. However, over
the last couple of centuries the industrialization of farming techniques and a growing population
saw the shift into conventional farming methods. The shift created major problems of economic
instability, climate change and pressures from farms to produce greater yields. The use of
conventional farming leaves the rural land eroded and lifeless because the farmers continuously put
high input of energy, synthetic chemicals, and genetically modified organisms to just keep on
producing a high quaintly crop. The farmers have now found themselves locked in an everlasting
cycle of loans and debt. Therefor the influence of history in time changed the dynamics of farming
in not sustaining agribusiness, but due to these past events as a world we are now starting to adopt
sustainable farming practices. These practices are influenced through our local communities,
countries and United Nation in creating a sustainable global agriculture.
Costs in agribusiness will continue to increase at a rate far from what our population is growing.

Co2 Lab Report
It exploted. Discussion
We were unable to complete the experiment due to the complete shattering of one of the
centrifuge tubes used in this experiment. This shattering was most likely due to the repeated use
of the same tube for the extraction. Because liquid CO2 induces a cold environment, and when a
material, particularly plastic, is exposed to repeated cycles of freezing and thawing the material
will become more brittle. Plastic is usually good at containing high pressures, but if the material
were to become brittle it would lose this ability and become fracture sensitive. This most likely
lead to the complete shattering of the tube while in the lab, given that several shards were found
around the laboratory. This also could have been... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Enlightenment Influence On The French Revolution
The French Revolution was a period of far reaching social and political change in France that lasted
from 1789 to 1799. Before the revolution there was a period of time called the Enlightenment. The
Enlightenment was a philosophical movement in which followers considered that human reason
brought a move from theory to practice and criticism to reforming education, household
administration, social reactions and politics. Voltaire, a French philosopher and contributor to the
Age of Enlightenment, expressed these ideas utilizing his intelligence, wit and style to mark his
name as one of France s greatest writers. The Enlightenment influenced the French Revolution to a
great extent by introducing new ideas that encouraged questioning of authority and religion,
advancing people s outlook on commodities, and forcing citizens to compare their need with the
Republic s needs. This further brought an uprising of people wanting more such as equality and
civil rights. In the process to do so there were 250,000 casualties in the Reign of Terror followed the
Thermidorian Reaction which implemented an oligarchy government called the Directory. Royalist
riots prompted the Coup d etat of Fructidor which brought Napoleon into Directory which he later
overthrows and creates an Authoritarian Republic. The ideas of equality and rights to men which
were stressed by Enlightenment philosophers are all incorporated into documents 1,4 and 5.

High School to NBA: Good or Bad?
Mel Plantenga
College Composition P.4/5
March 6, 2013
Some of the greatest stars in the NBA were drafted straight out of high school. Lebron James,
Kobe Bryant, and Dwight Howard are just a few examples. Even though, as of 2006, the NBA
eligibility rule states that a player entering the NBA draft must be at least nineteen years old and a
year removed from high school, it is still a huge debate in the sports world of whether or not this
rule is the right choice. Before the rule was set in place, NBA commissioner David Stern said, We

If the rule were to be changed to require two years of college, the players would be much more
experienced and would create a stronger group of rookies each year for the NBA. Imagine a
young man, straight out of high school, with dreams of playing in the NBA. What if he was one
of the four players who, between 1975 and 2001, declared for the draft straight out of high
school never made it to the NBA (Should high school players be eligible). What are his options
after that? Sure, he could always go to college, but what if he never applied to one? Another
option is to play in a European league, but how is an eighteen or nineteen year old expected to
live on his own in a whole new country? This is just one downfall to being able to enter the draft
straight out of high school. While many are successful, the young men who are not may be
forced to give up their dream and must make serious life decisions to move forward. For this
reason alone, the rule should stay the same to allow players to mature before they are able to enter
the draft. The year of college basketball played is monumental in the maturation of young players
directly out of high school. High school basketball is clearly a much different game than what is
played in the NBA; the pace is slower and the plays are far less complex. With this said, only few
players are able to adapt to the fast pace of the NBA straight out of high school. For the majority
of the players unable to do so, their

Darwin And Darwin s Theory Of Evolution
It is often thought today that the theory of evolution started with Darwin and begun in the

for a long time in one shape to something else. It was denied by the maximum, due to the defender
whom did not had any slight idea dealing with a gratifying mechanism that would analyze in

Analysis Of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
One of the most popular authors of all time is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. His work is still used as a
base for many different types of media made today. There are dozens of books, television shows,
and movies patterned after his most well known series starring Sherlock Holmes, who was first
introduced in the book A Study in Scarlet. This character that he created has become a household
name in not only his home country but the rest of the world as well. Unlike most past authors,
Doyle s work was popular while he was alive, although not for the reasons that he preferred. Sir
Arthur Conan Doylewas born on May 22, 1859 to Charles and Mary Doyle in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Soon after his first marriage in 1886, Doyle, a then struggling author, wrote a mystery novel now
known as A Study in Scarlet. This work was published in Beeton s Christmas Annual and was the
first of sixty appearances of the famed detective, Sherlock Holmes. The following years, Doyle
would become very active in the Spiritualist movement from 1887 to 1916 for which he wrote
three books. Despite this, he was most widely known for his Sherlock Holmes series. In fact,
Doyle attempts to kill off the character of Holmes in one of his books in order to focus more on
Spiritualist writings, but was forced to revive the character in order to get more money for his
missionary work. Two years before his death in 1930, Doyle published a compilation of twelve
stories about Sherlock Holmes entitled The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes ( Arthur Conan
Doyle ). A Study in Scarlet follows Dr. John Watson, a veteran of the Afghan war who is now
trying to fit back into London society. An old friend of his sends him in the direction of a man
named Sherlock Holmes who is looking for a roommate. Soon after settling in, Holmes reveals to
Watson what he does for a living, helping the police solve crimes as a consulting detective. Holmes
then invites Watson to observe a murder crime scene with him. Despite his methods being tedious,
Watson soon discovers that his roommate is a genius. Holmes use of subtle details reveals the shoe

The Death Of The Moth
In her essay The Death of the Moth , Virginia Woolf depicts the struggle of life confronting death
through the death of a moth. Woolf sees a moth flying in a pleasant morning, mid September, mild,
benignant (385). She uses this soft autumnal description of her morning to emphasize the beauty of
life and the happiness one feels while being alive; however, she uses the moth to represent life
itself and show its own struggles: [the moth] tried to fly across...the window pane , but he failed
(386). She uses the moth s failure and awkwardness (386) to announce deaths arrival and the moth s
constant effort to keep flying to show a desperation to hang on to life. Why moth is so attached to
life?. After perhaps a seventh attempt [the moth] slipped from the wooden ledge and fell,
fluttering his wings, onto his back on the window sill (385). No matter how bad the consequences
of the moth s attempts to fly, he was not going to surrender and after recognizing that there was
something marvelous as well as pathetic about the moth due to his constants attempts to live,
Woolf stretched out a pencil, meaning to help him to right himself , but when she notice the
approach of death... [she] laid the pencil down again (385). Woolf s use of the pencil instead of
her own fingers shows how fragile the life of the moth was and how careful she was trying to be to
help the insignificant creature (385). However, her shift from interest on the moth life to its death

The counties in Texas have an odd relationship with the state government and the Texas

Good President Qualities
My paper is going to be on the qualities the president needs to be a good president. The president
needs to be focused at all times of the presidency, and he needs to have the knowledge when to be
honest and when not to be honest with the people. Also the president should have confidence in
themselves and their ideas. Honesty, focus and confidenceis what I think a would make a good
president of the United States. A president needs to be focused on the tacks at hand the wars he
needs to be cautious of the warriors lives out there in the battlefield( Farrell para. 7). And the
president needs to look over deals and sales with countries. One example is Abraham Lincolnhe

I. LANDING GEAR SAFETY DEVICES
Most airplanes with a retractable landing gear have a gear warning horn that will sound when the
airplane is configured for landing and the landing gear is not down and locked. Normally, the horn
is linked to the throttle or flap position, and/or the airspeed indicator so that when the airplane is
below a certain airspeed, configuration, or power setting with the gear retracted, the warning horn
will sound. Accidental retraction of a landing gear may be prevented by such devices as mechanical
downlocks, safety switches, and ground locks. Mechanical downlocks are built in components of a
gear retraction system and are operated automatically by the gear retraction system. To prevent

What happens is that atomic hydrogen found in such substances interacts chemically with the high
tensile steel in the gear, causing the affected areas to transform chemically into a brittle alloy with
a risk of fracturing. The only way to counteract hydrogen embrittlement is to remove the affected
component and bake it in a special oven at 375 F for 23 hours, Lind tells AMT. This allows the
hydrogen atoms to migrate to the surface and then escape.
Maintenance best practices
When damaged aircraft landing gear comes into the shop, it costs more to overhaul than landing
gear that has been maintained properly. Here is what you can do to keep your landing gear costs
down. The first step is lubrication. It may sound simple, but insufficient lubrication during regular
usage causes unnecessary wear and tear in many of the system s components. Lubrication is
critical to the movement of all articulated parts and joints of landing gear, says Lind. Proper
lubrication ensures smooth functioning, less friction and wear, and the appropriate transfer of
forces throughout the gear during use. Lubrication is key to keeping out water, de icing fluid, and
other corrosion causing substances. Make no mistake; corrosion is a real problem for landing gear.
Before you lubricate, be sure to check the aircraft s manual to find out what substances you can and
cannot use. In some cases, using the

it to be changed. When Rosa s Law was passed in 2010 the term changed. IDEA changed the

There are many reasons why someone would have a cognitive disability. The disability usually
shows up before the age of eighteen, and the sooner it is diagnosed the better the outcome will
be. These factors are associated with cognitive disabilities learning, reasoning, and problem
solving. There are different kinds of cognitive disabilities such as mild to severe cognitive
disability. A child IQ and adaptive behavior is what essentially diagnoses the child with cognitive
disability. Cognitive disability is a common disability in the Unites States. Most people can remain
independent living their lives unless they are diagnosed with a severe form. If the child can t
perform normal activities of daily living, then they will need assistance with living alone.
There are different ways to help a child with cognitive disability in a classroom. Individualized plans
that are tailored to that student with cognitive disability are beneficial to the student learning
capabilities. Making the curriculum specific and clear can help the child comprehend the material

Evaluating The Sources Of Data Variable Is A Controlled Or...
A hypothesis is a point of research for evaluating the sources of data in either a controlled or
uncontrolled experiment using variables. An hypothesis is the prediction that requires the
process of being proved of being false or true (Bowles, 2013). A hypothesis must be clear and
simple to understand that states the purpose of a test. It must contain logical and be testable.
The hypothesis defines what data variable are considered for testing. The development of a
hypothesis begins with identifying the object with an abstract concept of the research and
relationship to a statement being evaluated (Bowles, 2013). There are four stages to testing a
hypothesis in statics. The four stages are state the hypothesis, set criteria for a decision, collect
the data, and evaluated the data. A hypothesis statement contains two parts a null hypothesis and
and alternative hypothesis. The null hypothesis is represented as Ho or Hn that is believed to
be true or a basis for an argument (Tayor, 2016). It always has a equal sign (Tanner Youssef
Morgan, 2013). The alternative hypothesis is represented as Hi or Ha that is established as an
opposite of the Ho. Ha can only be reached by the rejection of the Ho. Ha is the desired outcome. A
example of a stated hypothesis is as followed: Ho: p = p, and Ha: p =/= p (Zhong Zhong, 2013).
The criteria for accepting and rejecting the hypothesis depends on a specific calculated value set by
the research. The criteria value has to

Examples Of Sorrow In The Odyssey
Can you know true happiness without knowing sorrow? Happiness is a subjective emotion. Some
people say they cannot be happy without first experiencing bad things. I do not think this is entirely
true. Babies know happiness when they get to play with their favorite toy or when they see
something new that excites them. Now some might argue that babies have experienced sorrow or
unhappiness when they are crying however, I think their short attention span makes them forget
sorrow much easier than happiness.
When you apply this concept to adults like Odysseus things become slightly different, he has
experienced a lot of sorrow in his life and his definition of happiness is probably very different

ten years during the Trojan War and for another ten after it ended and he was wandering the
likelihood that the regent king had not taken over is highly unlikely they would have waited

does not specifically have to worry about this problem however, he has to worry about someone
seizing his throne. Telemachus is around twenty or twenty one years of age now, having not

they can be king. Telemachus could also turn on his father, remember he has never known him
and does not have a bond with him, so he could be king. Before Telemachus went on his journey

Wireless Networks Can Be Broadly Classified Into Three...
Wireless Networks can be broadly classified into three categories: Infrastructure based networks,
Wireless LANs and Ad Hoc Networks. Infrastructure based networks are traditional cellular
systems which require base station infrastructure. Wireless LANs are very flexible within the
reception area. It requires low bandwidth when compared to wired networks. Ad Hoc networks are
useful when the infrastructure is not available, impractical or expensive to build.
In Cellular Wireless, spaces are divided into cells. Each cell consists of base stations which is
responsible to communicate with the hosts in its cell. Hosts moves from one cell to cell to another
and hand off occurs, the new base station takes care of the communication. In Multi hop wireless,
mobility causes a change of route. Hence it need to traverse multiple links to reach destination. Ad
hoc network is a self organizing multi hop wireless network, which relies neither on infrastructure
nor on the predetermined connectivity.
Rapid deployment of mobile users will be the need for the next generation wireless communication
systems. A mobile ad hoc network is a collection of mobile users that communicate over constrained
wireless links with lower bandwidth. Network scenarios which include establishing dynamic
communication for emergency/rescue operations, survivable, efficient, disaster relief efforts and
military networks cannot rely on organized and centralized connectivity. Networks are known as ad
hoc because

Learning of this flaw in the execution of his scheme, Macbeth laments: Then comes my fit again.
I had else been perfect; Whole as the marble (III.iv.19 21). From Macbeth s standpoint, the reason
that the ghost of Banquo appears at the feast is that the loose end of Fleance s remaining alive has
left him cabin d, cribb d, confin d, bound in to saucy doubts and fears (III.iv.23 24).
Those doubts and fears lead Macbeth back to the witches and toward still more evil deeds. Having

and then seemingly reassured that no harm can befall him unless miraculous conditions occur the

Consequences Of Rules In Candade By Dudley Randall s Candide
Rules are challenged all the time for many reasons. Rules should only be challenged at an
appropriate time like maybe when you don t agree with the rules and your against it. Sometimes
challenging rules can have good consequences and bad consequences. In the poem The Ballad of

but in one story the rules were followed and the other rules were broken.
In the poem The Ballad of Birmingham A girls wants to go to a march but she is not allowed,
instead she is told to go to church she follows the rulers and she gets killed, says in the poem on
lines 31 and 32 ВЁO, here s the shoe my baby wore, But, baby, where are you. In the story

Residential School Reconciliation Essay
From the late 19th to late 20th century, the Canadian government implemented the Indian
Residential School System (IRSS) in collaboration with the Anglican, Presbyterian, Roman
Catholic, and United Churches. Under the IRRS, Aboriginal children were forcibly torn from their
families and made to live in residential schools. The children were forbidden from expressing
Aboriginal culture, and were punished for doing so through verbal, physical, and sexual abuse. The
purpose of the IRSS was to destroy Aboriginal culture and anglicize Aboriginal children. The
residential schools were therefore a mechanism of cultural genocide, as they were the tools through
which this purpose was executed. Approximately 150,000 children were traumatized by this... Show

Under the agreement, the Canadian government had to outline several steps that would be taken
towards reconciliation with Aboriginal peoples: a compensation plan for survivors, establishing
commemorative projects, and delivering a national apology for the IRSS. In 2008, then Prime
Minister Stephen Harper delivered the apology on behalf of the Canadian government for the IRSS
and it s continuing impacts. The IRSSA also involved the establishment of the Truth and

Figurative Language Versus Literal Language
The English language is known as being one of the most difficult languages to learn. There are
many reasons for this, a major factor being the use of figurative language. Since the English
language is packed with figures of speech is can be very confusing to truly comprehend what
someone is trying to get across. This doesn t just go for the new comers to the English language
but also to native English speakers. Throughout this paper I will define and give examples for ten

language include idiom, analogy, metaphor, simile, clichГ©, amphiboly, fame word, hyperbole,

This figure of speech is an expression of how if you re in a bad situation, make the best of it like

Amphiboly
Amphiboly is a misleading notion on someone s original words structured to confuse or mislead
and audience ( Dictionary.com, 2012). Many candidates during elections use this figurative
language in order to misrepresent their competitor resulting in more votes for them. For
example Sarah says I believe that lowers taxes. It s the best thing to do for our economy right
now . If Tom was talking about raises taxes he could still state that Sarah said It s the best thing
to do for our economy right now . In actuality Sarah wants to lower the taxes, Tom uses
Amphibology in order to mislead others about her actually meaning behind her words. Amphiboly
can be extremely confusing especially if you don t know what the person originally said. It is
very easy to be gullible in this situation. It is best to always do research and check each statement
someone said to be sure of their meaning behind their words.

Growing Up With Greek Literature Essay
Growing Up With Greek Literature
Say Greek Tragedy to an English major and you re likely to elicit a groan, or even perhaps a
screech of terror. For me however, Greek tragedy, as well as Greek mythology, has always
fascinated me. When I was younger, the Greek God s always captured my interest, and I could
never get enough of them. As I grew older, I became interested in the more refined aspects that
Greek literature had to offer. Sophocles and The Three Theban Plays in particular, left me
awestruck. I quickly began to realize that many of the new and inventive books and movies I had
seen, had actually been written in one form or another, generations ago.

I was brought up Christian and believed in on only one God. A different god for love, war, and a
variety of other things fascinated me.
Eventually, in my early teens, I took up reading books such as The Odyssey by Homer, and
various other works relating to the Trojan War. As is typical with many Greek stories, The
Odyssey presented me with a hero I could look up to, but I was dealt my first shock when I
realized that not all books have a happy ending. Quite the contrary in most Greek literature. While
the Odyssey does have a fairly happy ending, other books on the Trojan War presented a much
different picture. Achilles, another one of my heroes at the time, dies, and the city of Troy is
sacked. I wasn t sure how to take these bizarre endings. I say bizarre because as a kid in this day
and age, I was presented with stories that always ended happily. The guy always got the girl. The
hero always saved the day. The criminal was always caught. This was quite out of the ordinary in
my world. I began to realize that the stories and movies I had previously always been presented,
were in no way a honest view of reality. Bad things did happen, and that was life. Instead of turning
away from this reality, I embraced it, realizing that while the stories themselves may not be true, the
reality of the situations faced in them were.
Having changed my views on what a story

Difference Between Renewable Resources And Non Energy...
1/ A clear explanation of the difference between renewable resources and non renewable resources
Renewable resources can be used and replaced. Examples are fish stocks, forests, or water. They are
resources that will refilled by itself through reproduction, plantation and by nature cycle. They are
natural resources that technically regenerate itselves through ecological process.
Non renewable resources, such as coal, oil, gold and cooper, are land resources which once used
will never be replaced. Once they are used, the quantity of those kinds of resources would be
reduced. Scarcity may exist in this situation, Scarcity implies that there are unlimited wants in the
world but with limited resources. For resources like coal, mine, gold ... Show more content on

Examples of complements are tennis rackets and tennis balls, washing machines and soap powder,
DVD disks and DVD recorders. Economics theory suggests that an increase in the quantity
demanded of one complement will lead to an increase in the demand for another, result in an
increase in the price and quantity bought of the other complement. For examples, an increase in
supply and the consequent fall in price of I phone 6S will lead to a rise in the quantity of I phone
6S and a rise in demand of I Watch. Shown in Figure 2a and 2b.
A good is in joint supply with another good when one good is supplied for two different
purposes. For instance, oil are supported for by product like petroleum and Vaseline health
product. A cow may give both leather and beef. When two or more goods are produced together,
so that a change in supply of one good will necessarily change the supply of the other goods with
which it is in joint supply. Figure 3, shows that an increase in demand for oil lead an increase in
both price and quantity bought and sold of petroleum More oil production will lead, as a by
product to greater supply of Vaseline. In Figure 4,This is shown in a shift to the right in the supply
curve for leather. The price of leather will then fall and quantity demanded, bought and sold will
increase.

Handgun Training Case Study
Law enforcement countries in the U.S. has implemented deadly force training because they are
indispensable, especially when an officer is faced with danger in the field. Departments across the
U.S., created their own approach when dealing with deadly force, which affects their best practice
(Morrison,2006). It is proven that almost 23% of departments in the U.S. hold handgunsessions
from at least 5 to 12 times a year (Morrison,2006).
It is imperative that police officers are highly trained to perform not only safely but also
appropriate and efficiently (Morrison Garner, 2011). Handgun training was not always mandatory
in law enforcement agencies, in fact U.S. police departments did not provide training at all from the
start of modern policing in the 1840s through the 1910s (Morrison Garner, 2011). It wasn t until the

state police and highway patrol have some collateral duty instructors(Morrison,2006). He also found
that all the departments have recognized that their instructors must be specialized before leading

components of in service programs (Morrison Garner,2011). Additionally, Morrison also discovered

How To Mummification Process Essay
How To Mummify a Body To start the mummification process the body of the deceased would
first be taken to the place of purification to be cleansed. The body is initially washed with palm
wine, and then rinsed with water of the Nile river. One of the embalmers would then make an
incision into the deceased s left side and remove most of the internal organs to prevent them
from decomposing. These organs are then packed in natron salt in order to dry them out and
keep them preserved. At the time the brain wasn t known to be of any importance or have any
function, so a long metal hook was stuck through the deceased s nose, the brain was crushed and
mashed, pulled it out back through the nose and disposed of. On the contrary, the heart was left
in the body because it was believed to be the center of intelligence and feeling ( Mummification )
and was needed in the afterlife. Before the organs were wrapped and returned to the body, they
were each stored in special canopic jars with different gods for the corresponding organs. The liver
was protected by Imsety, the human looking god; the baboon headed god Hapy protects the lungs;

The dried out organs are then taken and wrapped in linen, then returned to the body. Meanwhile,
the body is filled with sawdust, and oiled one last time before being completely wrapped in
linen. When the wrapping of the body begins, the embalmers start by wrapping the head, neck
fingers, and toes, all individually. Then the arms and legs are wrapped and between those layers
of linen, protective amulets are placed to protect the deceased s soul in the afterlife, including
such amulets as the Isis Knot , and the plummet . While all this is happening, a priest would say

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Millennials
The Great Recession was an economic crisis that caused the housing market to crash, and many
people suffered greatly because of this event. The generation to feel the recession s effects the
worst though was the Millennials, people born from around 1981 to 1997. Many Millennials
became unemployed and where scared from this event, causing them to lean heavily on the
government for support. Today, Millennials, also known as Generation Y or Echo Boomers, are
marked by their increase in the use of social media and other communication devices to stay with
the advancing times, however the economic troubles have stayed with them despite the
generation s growing use of technology. Millennials have been late to buy houses compared to
other generations, and this is due to the Great Recession. Buying a house has many advantages
and disadvantages, however buying one later seems to be hurting the Echo Boomers. The
benefits of buying a house stretch far beyond simply having a private place to stay; a house has
many economic benefits as well. Most things that people buy, like cars or phones, depreciate in
value, meaning that the longer a person keeps the item, the more its value will decrease. On the
other hand, a house appreciates with time, meaning its value grows as more time passes, making
buying a house a sound and smart investment. Even if a person did not want to keep their house,
they can typically sell the house for more than they bought it for. Furthermore, houses bring
financial stability that many other living arrangements cannot provide for residents. When
someone buys a house, he or she normally goes to a bank, takes out a loan, and uses the loan with
some of their own cash to ease the burden of their purchase, and afterwards, the person must pay
back the loan in amounts called mortgages. These mortgages are regular payments of a fraction of
the loan, and the amount does not fluctuate much, allowing the owner to know ahead of time what
the next payment will be. Rent payments may shift drastically from one payment to another, and
this may surprise the renter if they are not prepared like the homeowner. Also, owning a house give
the owner tax deductions, which can further help a person manage their

Explain what happens to price and quantity of coffee when the following events occur:
1. An advertising campaign highlights scientific studies that find drinking coffee can help reduce

People will buy more coffee, drink more coffee, and research what coffee will help them lose

So, if that is the general consensus among the British then tea is about to be stock piled in tea
drinking countries because there is going to be a huge sale. I know there will not be enough tea
drinkers in these countries to keep the cost of tea at its current price. There are obese people all
over the world who want to lose weight and even skinny people want to stay skinny. As we have
seen, when either the demand or the supply curve shifts, the results are unambiguous; that is, we
know what will happen to both equilibrium price and equilibrium quantity, so long as we know
whether demand or supply increased or decrease. However, in practice, several events may occur at
around the same time that cause both the demand and supply curves to shift in the same direction
or opposite directions (CITE).

something early in the morning or in the middle of the night, without this kind of circuit/alarm

keeping them on, but with my kind of circuit/alarm you don t need to waste energy because you
don t need to turn on the lights. Second of all, i think my circuit/alarm relates to culture because
its main purpose is to help us see when we need to get something we need to start your day,
which is a part of our culture, or put something on inside the box to wear, like a watch or any type

because when you are married and you are sleeping in the same room as your husband/wife, turning

circuit, you don t need to turn on the lights and potentially wake up your wife/husband, and the

The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism
Essay No.1 Weber has been considered as an expert on origination of capitalism. His most
famous work is The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism. Weber thesis regarding
capitalism is rather considered as an argument counter to Marxist thesis (which was regarding
primacy of base over superstructure). Weber discussed in his book that capitalism was resulted
by Protestantism which was a religious movement or more specifically speaking Calvinism.
However any Calvinist who has gone through catechism would have known that seeking a sign
of selection by God in economic success, is not a right thing to do; therefore it is a travesty to
Weber s thesis (Kilcullen, 1996). One expects Weber to Capitalism is a result of Protestantism or
to be more specific, Calvinism. Calvinism believes God has granted few with salvation whereas
others have to go through damnation. This virtue isn t dependent on their good or bad actions
/ deeds but because God wanted it in a certain way. This belief made believers of Calvinism
worried about their salvation and made them invest more efforts into economic success. This, in
turn, made them believe that they were the chosen favourites of God. Furthermore, the profits made
by Calvanists were re invested into the business for further profits rather than self indulgence.
Hence, the concept of Protestant ethic came into place which generally refers to desire of having
enormous economic success and will of working hard. This concept of work ethic

Business Implications Of Social Housing
Sector implications
The one per cent annual reduction to social housing rents over past four years and other welfare
reforms set out in the July Budget have left RPs with little option but to make further efficiency
savings. The sector is facing a huge period of change and a range of financial pressures and we re
seeing many RPs taking action now to ensure they remain fit for the future.
Over the last couple of years tenants have been fairly well protected from cost saving measures
with the majority of RPs reluctant to reduce tenant services. In our 2014 survey just 16 per cent of
respondents had made or were considering making cuts in this area, and just 19 per cent in 2015.

Those employees lucky enough to receive salary rises during 2016 are likely to see a smaller
increase than in previous years, with just 10 per cent of respondents expecting salary increases
of two per cent or more. This is a reduction of more than 40 per cent on 2015 responses to the
same question. Despite all of the cuts within the sector, it s positive to see more than half of RPs
across the country expecting salary levels to increase over the next 12 months, but the sector is
clearly more cautious than in previous years and this is understandable.
Implementing new technology remains high up on the agenda for the sector with 87 per cent of
RPs having taken or looking to take action in this area (94 per cent in 2015). With the digital first
agenda building momentum within the sector we expect to see further technology implemented
over the next year as RPs start to provide more services for staff and customers through mobile
enabled solutions.

To conduct the experiment 24 venom families were studied. Each venom sample was tested to
classify homologous genes. They conducted this experiment by blasting the venom gene to
complete protein coding sequence. Results demonstrated that the likelihood of the effectiveness of
particular genes used in caenophidian venom systems are based on inherited gene expression
patterns (Reyes Velasco, et al. 2014). The Burmese python s venom is extremely toxic due to its
genes that were passed down from its ancestors. Time has caused the venom to evolve but the
snakes ancestral traits have progressed. Another experiment was conducted by Michael Richardson
to compare the Cobra snake and Python snake. The genetic material in the venom was examined in
the cobra. Based on the results, the cobra s genes have advanced over time creating stronger
components (Saey, 2014). The evolution of the venom has benefits such as hunting for the snakes.
The snakes will be able to attack their prey easier due to the evolution in their venom. Also, the

  • 2. Dr. Phil s Short Story Dr. Phil loved the earth s layers. He spent every minute of his life reading theories and watching videos about them and he always wanted to see the layers. One day, he finally made his drill that could drill down into the earth and see all the layers as well as learn about them. Dr. Phil put on his special pressure and cooling suit and set out. As he drilled down he could feel the pressure getting stronger and stronger. He got deeper and deeper and came down right in front of Crusty s face. Crusty was in the middle of his daily walk so he was raged. Dr. Phil could hear him screaming and said Sorry. Crusty said it s ok. why are you here? to learn about earth s layers said Dr. Phil Oh said Crusty i ll tell ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I also brought Crusty, Monica, and Spike with me! Dr. Phil happily told the blob. Oh, hello my friends! Welcome to the last layer, the Inner Core. Since you told a little about yourself I will tell a little about myself. This layer is the last and smallest. It is 1,250 kilometers thick and 5000 to 6000 degrees celsius. this place is pretty hot if I do say so myself. Its also made of Nickel and Iron. Though I am small, I am slowly growing larger and larger. The blob informed them. I guess that s all I need to know about you. Yep. By the way, my name is Boba Thanks for telling Boba! Well, I have to get back to the surface. Have a great trip back, Dr. Phil and the others. Thanks! Dr. Phil got back into the drill, turned around, and left. That was amazing! Dr. Phil shouted as he took of his heavy suit. It was already night when he was back from his adventure, but he still took the time to write down all what he saw and heard in his blue scientific journal. By midnight, he was already asleep, dreaming about what he would do the next time he went down into the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Employee Satisfaction, Efficiency And The Training During this paper I will talk about the different ways an organization has to approach employee satisfaction, efficiency and the training that these need in order to accomplish their goals. One of the most important requirements for an organization in order to be successful is the way employee works, so in order to get better results I will talk about the different ways named before. Starting for one of the ways, I will talk about how to get employees satisfied with their work. If we consider that an organization is a system of consciously coordinated activities aimed at the realization of collective goals, then this has to deal with keeping a positive attitude in member satisfaction and adequate if you want to achieve your own goals. The organization must try to keep the satisfied members, getting them to perform their tasks as well as possible and to ensure that the results we want to achieve will be borne by all of its members and that they bring their energy, their skills and their efforts to reach them. There is no research evidence that there is always a strong and positive relationship between job satisfaction and performance. A satisfied worker is not necessarily a high performer and a high performer is not necessarily a satisfied worker. Satisfaction may lead to good performance but good performance may just as well be the cause of satisfaction. The relationship can be reciprocal . (Armstrong, 2007) Satisfaction labor is positive or pleasant emotional state ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Falling Birth Rates And Its Effects Falling Birth Rates This earth is full of people. The population is a little over seven billion people (Falling Birthrates). So much happens but the majority only pays attention to so little. Falling birth rates are necessary, because there is more opportunities, there will be more for those who are in need, and mankind are too much for this earth. There are so much more opportunities with less people. They are more likely to all get a job, insurance and more. The unemployment rate is so high because so many people have taken all the jobs. As of right now the unemployment rate is 5.0. Last month it was at a 4.9.(bureau) Not even each year it goes up, it goes up by months because of all the people. Especially since everyone wants... There is so much pollution than there should ever be. With all these cars and public transportation for everyone. In China, the pollution is so bad that people wear masks. The air alone is gray and musky. There is a little over one billion people in china. That s one seventh of the whole population. • 5. Matthew Shepard Analysis Society s view on sexuality has played a pivotal role in the equality of the gay community. Their existence is often ignored as there is a stigma against their lifestyle and those who choose to reveal their identity are either attacked or shunned away. The fatality of Matthew Shepard during the late 90s proved to show that some parts of society had not yet accepted homosexuality. Whether or not acceptance is relevant today, the play works to address the issues of sexuality through Matthew and have the audience understand the reality of the lives tormented by hate. Shepard s character reveals to the audience the issues of sexuality by serving as a martyr for the gay community. Sadly his death would then only bring the attention needed to recognize anti gay hate crimes and awaken the movement needed to replace hate with understanding and acceptance. As an audience, we regrettably understand that when a tragic event occurs, only then do we decide to act. Most people are unaware that they have the power to prevent hate crimes by educating their communities about sexuality and taking away the dogmatic view that only heterosexuality is normal. One could think of Matthew as a Christ figure, whom he is sacrificed for the sake of change considering that his death received national attention to anti gay sentiment. Throughout history there have been worse crimes but never received as much attention as Laramie. To have one person represent the struggles of the gay community is not acceptable and the audience needs to understand that there will be more crimes. The residents Laramie declare they have a live and let live mentality as opposed to the rest of Wyoming. Whether this mentality is relevant for the rest of the United States, it reaches out to the audience to question whether they feel the same as those in Laramie. As a society, we choose to avoid people who don t fit our agenda and as long as they don t come in contact with us, we are ok with them. This type of mentality is more of a silent treatment. The indifference can be shown by characters such as Sherry Johnson, wife of a police officer. While she does express sympathy for Matthew Shepard, she also feels that he is granted a special privilege for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Spirits, mystery, and entrapment are gothic characteristics preserved throughout the works of Morgenstern, Irving, Hawthorne, and Poe. The O train scheduled to finish in 2018, however the city needs a strategy that connects the main locations using the transitway otherwise the likely hood of it being done on time will be low. Even though the nation s capital lacks the public infrastructure, there are many other cities in Canada that has better designed infrastructure for business such as Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. • 9. Shakespeare s Theory Of Sir Francis Bacon Vs. William... There are a variety of theories that suggest that Sir Francis Bacon was, in fact, William Shakespeare. Supporters of these claims refer to Shakespeare s writing style, lack of education, and reportedly hidden messages within his texts as some of the evidence that indicates that Bacon was the real author of the many plays and poems attributed to Shakespeare. These assertions do not conclusively substantiate the Bacon theory and only attempt to discredit the real William Shakespeare. Therefore, Sir Francis Bacon did not write as William Shakespeare. The first theory of Sir Francis Bacon being the true author of Shakespeare, came from the author Delia Bacon no relation. For Delia being a failed novelist , it is hard for a person to... Anybody could write their name beside a famous authors name, such as J.R. Rowling, that does not mean that this random person wrote all her novels. In this time, it was very common for multiple publications to have the same phrases stated in them, this does not mean that for every piece of work with the same statement in it, was written by the same author. If this were the case, then why are there not more philosophies as too who wrote Shakespeare? Sir Francis Bacon and Shakespeare did have a very different style of writing. Sir Francis Bacon s writings was more stilted and abrupt compared to those works of Shakespeare . Bacon did his best work when he viewed life from an ancient elevation or when he looked back through the silver haze of the years at the earlier thoughts, for only then did he write of experiences common to mankind. . Plus, Bacon practically never spoke unwholesomely about people, were as Shakespeare would make fun of people in his works. Best Practices Fo A New ERP System Implementation Implementing A New ERP System Into The Enterprise: Best Practices in Project and Change Management Introduction The most significant costs and risks a company can take are in re aligning its core business processes and systems to allow for greater responsiveness to market opportunities and threats. Increasingly Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are being used as the unifying platform for all systems throughout an enterprise. As a result, the project, implementation, training and support plans often must be carefully devised and implemented across nontechnical and technical personnel to ensure the overall project s success. ERP systems especially are fulfilling a critical role in the managing of enterprises, taking on the tasks of managing accounting, financial reporting, supply chain management, logistics and ongoing quality management of products, processes and the role of people in adding value to finished goods and services (Ash, Burn, 2003). ERP has become the catalyst of entirely new approaches to using information, including the ongoing development of analytics and business intelligence (BI) applications that are giving executives greater visibility into their operations than ever before (Ash, Burn, 2003). In addition to analytics and BI, companies are aggressively pursuing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems that give them the ability to more effectively track and evaluate the performance of marketing and selling strategies. • 13. Letter To Lululemon Essay Thank you for taking the time to read my letter today. Lululemon is a store, which I visit often, due to the clothing being modern and popular. However, I am writing you today to address a problem I ran into at your stores and to propose a possible solution. I noticed that Lululemon clothing prices are marked up a great percentage than what a fair price would be. The fabric advertised is a special mix, Luon. However, after completing research, many brands, such as Athleta and Adidas, use a similar mix and their pants are lower in price. This would not be so much of a problem for Lululemon if the quality matched the price. Yet, there have been complaints from Lululemon customers where the clothing displayed pilling or sheerness after just a few washes something I too have experienced. A customerexpects good quality from their clothing, especially if they are willing to spend a large amount of money on it. I have a proposal to solve the problem. A successful solution would include the criteria of being affordable for everyone, creating a competitive market with athletic brands, and maintaining the quality of clothing. My solution is to lower the price of the clothing to match the quality. This would create a fair price that would compete with other athletic clothing stores. On the ... First of all, it could be argued that Lululemon would lose money by lowering the cost of clothing. This is not necessarily true as people already buy the clothing at the current price. Therefore, lowering the price would theoretically increase the sales dramatically, which in turn means Lululemon is making more money. A second objection is the fact that the pants are expensive due to the brand name. While this is true, having an even slightly lower price would attract more customers and grow the brand ... • 14. Compare And Contrast Western Medicine And Chinese Medicine It is important to grasp that one cannot understand Traditional Chinese Medicine by trying to explain it in Western scientific or medical terms. The ancient Chinese physicians developed a system of medicine that has survived for over three thousand years. Chinese medicine is complete within itself but that it is based on physiological concepts, theories regarding cause of disease, methods of diagnosis, and principles of treatment that are completely different from the western way of viewing the body. One way to understand how two medical systems can view the body differently without one system being right and the other system being wrong is to use the analogy of a map. For example, compare a road map and a topographical map of the city of Waco. Both maps represent the same area, but they do so in very different ways. As long as both maps are based on accurate information, serve as useful tools for their intended purposes, and have been created with self consistent logic, ... Depending on the size and scale of the map, a road map can offer very detailed representation of countries, states, counties, cities, neighborhoods, and even individual buildings. If you were using a map to select the shortest route to an appointment across town, you would choose one with quite a small scale and then you would disregard parts of the map that did not pertain the roads and highways that you plan to use. This is similar to the way that Western medicine views the body as a collection of distinct parts (organs, tissues, cells) that can be taken apart and considered in isolation. Diagnosis and treatment of disease in Western medicine involves using signs, symptoms, and various diagnostic tests to pinpoint the disordered part(s) of the body and then counteract these signs and symptoms with medications, surgery, or other ... Techniques such as irrigation, intercropping, and crop rotation have progressively increased efficiency in agriculture, maintaining the potential growth for global agribusiness. However, over the last couple of centuries the industrialization of farming techniques and a growing population saw the shift into conventional farming methods. The shift created major problems of economic instability, climate change and pressures from farms to produce greater yields. The use of conventional farming leaves the rural land eroded and lifeless because the farmers continuously put high input of energy, synthetic chemicals, and genetically modified organisms to just keep on producing a high quaintly crop. The farmers have now found themselves locked in an everlasting cycle of loans and debt. This shattering was most likely due to the repeated use of the same tube for the extraction. Before the revolution there was a period of time called the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment was a philosophical movement in which followers considered that human reason brought a move from theory to practice and criticism to reforming education, household administration, social reactions and politics. Voltaire, a French philosopher and contributor to the Age of Enlightenment, expressed these ideas utilizing his intelligence, wit and style to mark his name as one of France s greatest writers. A hypothesis is a point of research for evaluating the sources of data in either a controlled or uncontrolled experiment using variables. An hypothesis is the prediction that requires the process of being proved of being false or true (Bowles, 2013). A hypothesis must be clear and simple to understand that states the purpose of a test. It must contain logical and be testable. The hypothesis defines what data variable are considered for testing. The development of a hypothesis begins with identifying the object with an abstract concept of the research and relationship to a statement being evaluated (Bowles, 2013). There are four stages to testing a hypothesis in statics. The four stages are state the hypothesis, set criteria for a decision, collect the data, and evaluated the data. Then Macbeth becomes paranoid, suffering from hallucinations and sleeplessness. He becomes less human as he tries over and over to establish his manhood. From Macbeth s standpoint, the reason that the ghost of Banquo appears at the feast is that the loose end of Fleance s remaining alive has left him cabin d, cribb d, confin d, bound in to saucy doubts and fears (III.iv.23 24). Those doubts and fears lead Macbeth back to the witches and toward still more evil deeds. Having dispatched Banquo to prevent one prophecy from coming true, he is later warned about Macduff and then seemingly reassured that no harm can befall him unless miraculous conditions occur the marching of a wood, the appearance of a man not born by woman. These things, of course, do take place, making Macbeth a victim of his own understanding. Macbeth reaches tragic heights in the soliloquy on the meaninglessness of life that he speaks after learning of Lady Macbeth s death. But even after it is plain that the prophecies of the witches are working toward his destruction, Macbeth displays his mettle. Residential School Reconciliation Essay From the late 19th to late 20th century, the Canadian government implemented the Indian Residential School System (IRSS) in collaboration with the Anglican, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, and United Churches. Under the IRRS, Aboriginal children were forcibly torn from their families and made to live in residential schools. The children were forbidden from expressing Aboriginal culture, and were punished for doing so through verbal, physical, and sexual abuse. The IRSSA also involved the establishment of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), an Aboriginal body whose purpose is to inform about the IRSS, and to report on how the process of reconciliation should be navigated. The TRC defines reconciliation as establishing and maintain a mutually respectful relationship between Aboriginal peoples and non Aboriginal peoples [in Canada], which entails awareness of the past, and action to change behaviour . Since the English language is packed with figures of speech is can be very confusing to truly comprehend what someone is trying to get across. This doesn t just go for the new comers to the English language but also to native English speakers. Throughout this paper I will define and give examples for ten different types of figurative language while providing appropriate usage. Amphiboly Amphiboly is a misleading notion on someone s original words structured to confuse or mislead and audience ( Dictionary.com, 2012). Many candidates during elections use this figurative language in order to misrepresent their competitor resulting in more votes for them. For example Sarah says I believe that lowers taxes. It s the best thing to do for our economy right now . If Tom was talking about raises taxes he could still state that Sarah said It s the best thing to do for our economy right now . In actuality Sarah wants to lower the taxes, Tom uses Amphibology in order to mislead others about her actually meaning behind her words. Amphiboly can be extremely confusing especially if you don t know what the person originally said. It is very easy to be gullible in this situation. It is best to always do research and check each statement someone said to be sure of their meaning behind their words. Buying a house has many advantages and disadvantages, however buying one later seems to be hurting the Echo Boomers. The benefits of buying a house stretch far beyond simply having a private place to stay; a house has many economic benefits as well. Most things that people buy, like cars or phones, depreciate in value, meaning that the longer a person keeps the item, the more its value will decrease. On the other hand, a house appreciates with time, meaning its value grows as more time passes, making buying a house a sound and smart investment. Even if a person did not want to keep their house, they can typically sell the house for more than they bought it for. Furthermore, houses bring financial stability that many other living arrangements cannot provide for residents. When someone buys a house, he or she normally goes to a bank, takes out a loan, and uses the loan with some of their own cash to ease the burden of their purchase, and afterwards, the person must pay back the loan in amounts called mortgages. These mortgages are regular payments of a fraction of the loan, and the amount does not fluctuate much, allowing the owner to know ahead of time what the next payment will be. His most famous work is The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism. Weber thesis regarding capitalism is rather considered as an argument counter to Marxist thesis (which was regarding primacy of base over superstructure). Weber discussed in his book that capitalism was resulted by Protestantism which was a religious movement or more specifically speaking Calvinism. However any Calvinist who has gone through catechism would have known that seeking a sign of selection by God in economic success, is not a right thing to do; therefore it is a travesty to Weber s thesis (Kilcullen, 1996). One expects Weber to Capitalism is a result of Protestantism or to be more specific, Calvinism. Calvinism believes God has granted few with salvation whereas others have to go through damnation. This virtue isn t dependent on their good or bad actions / deeds but because God wanted it in a certain way. This belief made believers of Calvinism worried about their salvation and made them invest more efforts into economic success. This, in turn, made them believe that they were the chosen favourites of God. Implementing new technology remains high up on the agenda for the sector with 87 per cent of RPs having taken or looking to take action in this area (94 per cent in 2015). With the digital first agenda building momentum within the sector we expect to see further technology implemented over the next year as RPs start to provide more services for staff and customers through mobile enabled solutions. • 52. The Consequences Of The 1953 Coup 1953 Coup And Its Reminiscences The effects of this coup, jointly orchestrated by the CIA and MI6, were far profound than those planned by the coup plotter. A consensus is forming among the observers about the rapidly increasing radicalization and anti US sentiment among the Iranians intolerant towards secular and democratic politics after the coup with regards to the illegitimate interests of the West. The bloody coup attempt on July 15 orchestrated by the members of a particular terrorist organization infiltrating the ranks of Turkish armed forces failed due to the adamant and uncompromising attitude of the Turkish people and the Turkish political leadership. The widespread assumption about Western backing of the coup among the general... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At this stage, Roosevelt sent US Ambassador Loy Henderson to convince Mossadeq. The Ambassador said his country would provide all sorts of assistance to the Mossadeq s government if the demonstrators, who also put American citizens in danger, return to their homes from the streets. Mossadeq, assuming that the coup has been averted, called for withdrawal of demonstrators from the streets that costed him his 27 month long prime ministry and his political life. The crowd on CIA s payroll then seized the streets and displaced the general populace disappointed by Mossadeq s call to evacuate squares . This snake is unique due to its color which has adapted to its surroundings. There are many experiments being conducted to examine the changes of the Burmese python snakes. Many animals are evolving today due to the changes in the environment that they live in. The evolution of animals is crucial for the species group and its future generation to survive and endure in the world. Basic Information The Burmese python snake species name is Python bivittatus. Its family or species is known as Python molurus bivittatus. The snake s family is the Pythonidae. The Burmese python is one of the biggest snakes on the planet. The length of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To conduct the experiment 24 venom families were studied. Each venom sample was tested to classify homologous genes. They conducted this experiment by blasting the venom gene to complete protein coding sequence. Results demonstrated that the likelihood of the effectiveness of particular genes used in caenophidian venom systems are based on inherited gene expression patterns (Reyes Velasco, et al. 2014). The Burmese python s venom is extremely toxic due to its genes that were passed down from its ancestors. Time has caused the venom to evolve but the snakes ancestral traits have progressed. Another experiment was conducted by Michael Richardson to compare the Cobra snake and Python snake. The genetic material in the venom was examined in the cobra. Based on the results, the cobra s genes have advanced over time creating stronger components (Saey, 2014). The evolution of the venom has benefits such as hunting for the snakes. The snakes will be able to attack their prey easier due to the evolution in their venom. Also, the evolution of the venom has contributed to the medical field such as vaccines which benefits lives around the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
