served as a biological substrate for the evolution of our sophisticated sociality and the morality that

Creek, there were extremely higher concentration levels, 430 mg/kg dry weight total of cadmium
from stations F, G, and H, upstream in comparison to a total combined amount of 315mg/kg dry
weight of cadmium from stations A, B, C, D, E, and the reference sites. Thus, the following
locations have been identified as potential sources responsible for the distribution of cadmiuminto
Cruddy Creek; Atlas Batteries, Metal Plater, and Pacific Coal Electric power plant due to their
relevant histories and proximities to the increased amounts of cadmium.
Atlas Batteries has been a part of Cruddy Creek since 1970. Their main objectives were lead acid
batteries recycling and now also recycling of nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries. They are a
potential source of cadmium contamination because of their methodology of disposal of sulfuric
acid via an open, unlined pit which allows for chemicals to seep into the sediments at a much faster
and easier rate. In addition, Atlas Batteries has a direct effluent discharge into Cruddy Creek that
carries contaminants of concern such as cadmium, nickel, lead, and zinc.
Metal Plater has a long history with Cruddy Creek since its operations began in 1930. Their focus
is on different types of electroplating. Due to the complex process of electroplating the waste
products that are produced may be acidic or alkaline and contain significant concentrations of

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms is part of the Constitution and it was added to the Constitution
in 1982. The Constitution has many laws about the essential guidelines one must follow in our
country. It also governs how the government/ organizations should treat their citizens. The Charter
allows the citizens and newcomers to feel like they are appreciated and also safe. However, there
are situations where the Charter cannot protect you. The Charter can be stretched and can be
looked at from different perspectives which is why these cases are very controversial. In Canada, we
have many levels of courts so if someone was rejected by a lower court, they can appealto a higher
one. Cases that include an individual that feels as if their rights haven t been respected take
months because the appeal to present their case in front of a higher court can take weeks. It is
the understanding of the individual that the if he/she brings a case to the court, they will win
because courts are equal and unbiased but when that is not always the case. There are many

On April 5th, 2016 at approximately 10:00 AM, I, Investigator James Poffel was assigned a case
in reference to a possible sexual assault of a 6 year old boy, Kevin Baptiste. The reporting party
