The slippery slope argument has been ongoing in the euthanasia debate. The slippery slope refers to
the belief that legalizing voluntary euthanasia and physician assisted suicide will lead to undesirable
outcomes. Many speculate that the legalization of involuntary euthanasia will lead to the legalization
of murder. Since euthanasia is legalized in the Netherlands, some argue that it has caused a slippery
slope. Now, people believe legalizing euthanasia in the United States will also cause a slippery slope.
Although this may be true, there is not sufficient evidence to support this argument as the rates of
euthanasia have dropped in the Netherlands since it has been legalized. Doctors try to encourage
patients to undergo hospice or other types of care before resorting to euthanasia. Under strict
guidelines, euthanasia can be controlled so it can benefit patients without being abused and causing a
slippery slope.
For euthanasia to be effective when legalized, restrictions need to be applied. All of the states that
have legalized physician assisted suicide have strict controls over who is eligible for it. A patient must
be at least 18 years of age, have six or less months to live, have requested for euthanasia two times at
least 15 days apart with the addition of a witness and written request, be a resident of the state, and be

To get the other half we have to convert our thinking from moving though time to moving though
space time (Hewitt 213). When we move, we not only move through space, we move though time.
This is the idea of space time. If a person were to stand still, they would be moving only though time.
If they moved a little bit, they would be moving though space a little bit, but still mostly though time.
If one were to travel at the speed of light, what changes would they experience in time? The answer is
simple; they would be traveling through space, with no travel though time (Hewitt 214). They would
be as ageless as light, for light travels though space only (not time) and is timeless. gt; The frame of

To understand how traveling though time would work, we must first understand how time and space
can be stretched. Motion in space affects motion in time. Whenever we move through space, we to
some degree alter our rate of motion in time. This is known as time dilation, a stretching of time that
occurs ever so slightly for everyday speeds, but significantly for speeds approaching the speed of
light. If we were to attempt to travel to the nearest star, Alpha Centauri, which is 4 light years away,
even traveling at the speed of light would take 8 years round trip (Hewitt 228). The center of our
galaxies is something like 30000 light years away and at the speed of light

references to music, imagery, and the use of a nameless character. With literature that challenged the
accepted ideals surrounding that time period, Ellison expresses his thoughts by comparing an invisible
man to various relatable subjects in life. When the narrator firsts starts on his journey and gets

He portrays his vulnerability by comparing himself to a bird plucked of his feathers and ridiculed for
his devoted admiration of Bledsoe. According to Leon Forrest in The Critical Response to Ralph
Ellison edited by Robert J. Butler, the song mocks and thereby instructs him that each person must

In today s fast moving world it is difficult to keep up with nutrition with early wake up calls and late
night shifts at work. It is really hard to fit a nice healthy meal in between, and finally, when we get
home, we come to the fridge, only to find sugar, high carbohydrate foods, and yummy scrumptious fat
in the fridge. There is nothing like comfort food right? Well, in the U.S their thousands of organic food
stores calming to have better and healthy vegetables, products and medicine that will detoxify you.
However, farmers globally make up only one percent of organic agricultural land, although with more
practices being done in the U.S the percentage globally would go from one to one point seven percent
if you counted all the organic farmers in the U.S. Due to the low real organic food supply and the
majority being convectional it is lugubrious to say that one cannot become detoxed and, if you thought
so before doctors are claiming it is impossible. In order to make real organic goods, we should
practice our own organic farming in inner cities, and find new and better farming techniques to help
the earth. This would also help the local farmers and the environment.
Like in most inner cities, it s sometimes difficult to catch the bus let alone a good healthy breakfast the
most important meal of the day, but of course, if you are on the run you could always get a doughnut
and processed gas station foods or a quick bite at the diner, but who really knows where goods on
