Siddhartha And Siddhartha Comparison
Remorse, Isolation, and hopelessness are all feelings that every human has experienced at some
time in life. The journey of life is all about a desire to find unity and peace. The story of Siddhartha
is no different. It is about a journey to find peace, harmony and contentment both now and in the
afterlife. Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse, is a story about Siddhartha, a man who is on a spiritual
journey to find truth. In Hinduism, the goal is to obtain enlightenment and reach Nirvana; a state in
which the mind is enlightened transcending all suffering and achieving peace To reach Nirvana, the
individual must escape samsara the eternal cycle of birth, suffering, death and rebirth (Merriam
Webster).

Donald Cried Analysis
Donald Cried is an indie American dramedy and sympathetic buddy film with much to say about
friendship, self conceitedness, and complacency. It marks the directorial debut of Kris Avedisian,
which couldn t be more auspicious in terms of building pragmatic, tense scenarios while shaping
the characters with pinpoint accuracy. He also stars as Donald and wrote the script based on his
own 2012 short film of the same name. The camera lens fixates on Peter Lateng (Jesse Wakeman),
a successful Manhattan banker forced to return to his small hometown, where he intends to spend
just one night or two to take care of things related to his grandmother, who just passed away. Peter
is visibly exasperated for having to go back to a place that brings him

What Changes Have Happened Since 1945 In Technology
Essay pop culture technology
In this essay I will cover the changes that have happened since 1945 in technology and secondly I
will cover the influences that changed technology and thirdly I will talk about the positives and
negatives of the advances of technology.
What changes have happened since 1945 in technology? The main form of household
communications device most people had in their homes was the radio to listen to music and
also dance to it any time they wanted even when doing chores in the house as many people I
know still do not to mention my mother, she always listens to mix 102.3 when she is doing
chores and also when she is helping with my homework which is really important and she
always turns up the music when it s her favorite songs . Televisions existed in 1945, but they
were generally very expensive and the programming options were very few. In back to the future
which is a movie that was made in the 80s I saw a scene when Marty Mcfly was travelling to the
past and then when Marty was in his mother s house they bought a new television set which they
said was very expensive and was in black and white . The televisions exploded tremendously in
popularity in the 50s and 70s and know in the twenty first century people are buying more than one
television in their house.

Employee Motivational Session
In my opinion, this session went extremely well, however in the beginning of the session; Amanda
was not ready to change as evidenced by her repeatedly stating, Smoking marijuana is not a big
deal. I found this to be a challenge because although Amanda s kids were removed she still was not
ready to proceed with change as indicated by her stating that it s not hurting anyone. After Amanda
stated why she was visiting me, I began the session with an affirmation, by telling Amanda that I
knew that it took a lot for her to come and willingly share openly with me, and I thanked her for
that.
By stating this I showed support and empathy to Amanda which is something she needed because
she thanked me and stated that no one sees the good and me. Through Amanda stating this, it shows
me that she has lost motivation because of past encounters with people judging her. Amanda also
stated, I feel like I can talk to you and you are willing to listen to my side. This statement Amanda

Helen Keller Hero
Helen Keller
The definition of heroine is is a woman, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding
achievements, or noble qualities ( Dictionary ). Helen Keller was a woman who was an important
role model, and trailblazer for the deaf and blind community. Even a person with all their senses
has not achieved as much she has. Helen Keller was a hero because she faced many challenges as a
deaf blind woman, she won different awards in her life, and made many contributions to the
world. First reason Helen Keller is a hero because she has faced many challenges, one of the first
challenges she faced was she blind and deaf. Helen wasn t always that way she became ill and
became blind, deaf, and mute (Biography). This did not stop her, though Helen Keller was the
first deaf, blind person to earn a college degree, and she graduated from Radcliffe college with
honors in 1904 (American). Also at the time Radcliffe was basically Harvard for women.
Although she was blind, she has made over 13 books such as Light in My Darkness, Optimism,
and The Story of My Life. This is just another reason Helen is a hero being deaf and blind and
achieving such outstanding work. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How The Garcia Lost Their Accents By Julia Alvarez
Who am I? Who are we? Where do I belong? What is self identity? These are a few questions that
people will ask themselves within their lifetime. Self identity is the way in which one person
identifies themselves within a social environment. In How the Garcia Lost Their Accents by Julia
Alvarez, we are able to see four girls who move from the Dominican Republic to the United States
where they begin to lose their heritage and values of being Spanish women, and create new lives.
When moving to a new country one recreates their identitythrough language, they endure the
struggle of not fitting in, and they also become isolated from society. Four girls moving from their
home, language became a vital role in their lives, in the United States. Having being exposed to
both English and Spanish languageit shows how both cultures are shown through their identity and
the way in which they express themselves. The Garcia girls had an ideal picture of what an
American mother would be, when they were not satisfied in the way Laura, their mother, acted or
handle the her role as an American mother. The girls would blatantly called their mother Mom
instead of Mami . According to Dastgoshadeh and Kaveh, students of Islamic Azad University,
Language is not only an instrument for communication but also related to a set of behavioral norms
and cultural values of which one s self identity is constructed. After learning a new language one s
perception of his or her competence,

The marketing audit is presented as a factor of Indiana University Southeast s future success. The
paper will compare Bellarmine, Sullivan, Spalding, Purdue Polytechnic of New Albany, and
University of Louisville to Indiana University Southeast. The five universities listed pose as serious
competition for Indiana University Southeast. The audit will go into depth on why these five all
serve the same target market. The paper presents the results of research conducted through the
National Center for Education Statistics and by various collegesearch engines. Based on the
research conducted, the audit states the main factors influencing Indiana University Southeast s
future growth and a better retention rate that have an impact on IUS s progress now. In conclusion,
the audit presents findings and conditions that will better help in fixing IUS S barriers in operating.

Offshore Oi Drilling Causes Environmental Damage Essay
Oil drilling is the process of perforating oil from the earth s surface. This process can be
dangerous. The drilling process can be harmful to nearby animal life. The process used to locate
oil waves can be harmful to animal life. When the oil ascends, it brings with it a number of deadly
chemicals. The chemicals released can consist of mercury and arsenic. Other substances such as
lead have been known to ascend with the oil (Horton, Jennifer, 1).
An oil spill is the process by which oil is mistakenly dispensed. The danger and damage an oil
spill can cause is exponential. An oil spill can cause millions of dollars in damages. Oil spills are
one of the worst catastrophes that happen, and they happen frequently. It has been predicted ... Show

The animal death toll was far greater than that of the human (Clean Energy, 1). Over four thousand
animals died, and more were injured as a result of the British Petroleum oil spill (Clean Energy, 1).
Dolphins were enveloped in the oil (Clean Energy, 1). Four hundred and six dolphins lost their
lives during the eighty seven day plague (Clean Energy, 1). The bird population of the Gulf
decreased as well (Clean Energy, 1). Some of the birds were cloaked with oil (Clean Energy, 1).
Thousands of dead and suffering birds were seen floating in the black pools of oil (Clean
Energy, 1). Six thousand one hundred and twenty four birds died as a result of the Gulf oil spill
(Clean Energy, 1). However birds and dolphins were not the only victims (Clean Energy, 1). The
British Petroleum oil spill destroyed a portion of the sea turtle population found in the Gulf of
Mexico (Clean Energy, 1). Over five hundred sea turtles, some of them babies were affected by
the spill (Clean Energy, 1). A grand total of six hundred and nine sea turtles died as a result of the
spill (Clean Energy, 1). These are only the documented deaths (Clean Energy, 1). The true animal
death toll is estimated to be fifty times the number of deceased carcasses that were found floating,
or washed up on the shore (Clean Energy, 1).
An oil spill is not the only oil related incident that can harm

Syntactic And Morphological Skills In Autism
Introduction The focus of the study was on how children with autism develop syntactic and
morphological skills and if they apply alternative ways of learning such as memorization techniques
in order to make up for the lack of normal morphological processing and if they learn grammatical
morphemes in an unusual form. Previous studies have proposed the idea that children with autism
present unusual syntactic and morphological skills; however, there is not sufficient information
available on this topic. Existing studies have yet to indicate how these skills differentiate to
children with developmental delay without autism. Moreover, the question of this research is
important for deciding whether language impairments are merely linked to autism or
developmental delay. Three different hypotheses were presented by the researchers of this study.
The first hypothesis explained that children with autism would obtain lower scores on the tests
measuring morphological and syntactic skills than children without autism and developmental
delay. The second hypothesis was that children with autism would obtain lower scores on the tests
measuring the ability to apply plural... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This hypothesis was not supported by the results. When looking for differences between the three
groups in their ability to use plural inflections to non words, none were found. It was suggested that
not fully understanding the task and its requirements was a possible cause for the normal
developing children to obtain a large variety of scores. The results reveal that the groups with
autism and developmental delay without autism both have difficulty applying past tense inflections
which may create the task of applying past tense inflections to non words more

God Is The Pure Essence Of Perfect
No one on this Earth is perfect, only our God is the pure essence of perfect. With God s love and
perfection He is able to use us, the imperfect, to carry out His will. We have all sinned and
continue to ask for forgiveness when needed. Although we are not perfect, God still has a plan
for our lives and it is our duty to follow out His will. In the Old Testament there are books of
history, which discuss God s use of some imperfect individuals to accomplish His purpose for
Israel. There are twelve books exactly that deal with the history of the nation of Israel and how
God accomplished His goals. These twelve books are Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1st and 2nd Samuel,
1st and 2nd Kings, 1st and 2nd Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. These books share a
prophetic view of history describing how the obedience or disobedience of God s people is
directly tied to the blessings and curses of the covenant. The first of these books is Joshua. In
this book, the possession of the land by the nation is the main point. It tells us the story of Israel
s arrival at Canaan, otherwise known as the Promise Land, while under the leadership of Joshua.
God appoints Joshua as a leader and that he will never leave him or forsake him. Joshua stood
strong in his faith, his obedience to God, and he was courageous. So although Joshua was one out
of many men that were not apparently flawed, this book is a foundation for all that was to come.
The second book of history was Judges. The Book of Judges is

Comparing Prometheus And Atlas
Many a few have heard of Atlas, the almighty titan. After the gods of olympus, led by Zeus
defeated the titans, Atlas was charged to eternally bear the weight of the world on his shoulders.
To be a bit more specific, Atlas was mandated to keep apart the heavens and the Earth. This was the
predicament of a number of titans at the hands of Zeusand the other Gods. For example, Prometheus
, creator of the Earth is tortured eternally. Every Day, a murderous phoenix attacks him and steals
his liver, and everyday, his liver grows back so that he suffers the pain each and every day. Well,
both Prometheus and Atlas helped our beloved heroHercules with his 12 labors. His eleventh labor
was to retrieve some golden apples from the Garden of Hesperides. However, this garden was
protected by a powerful fire breathing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hercules was well aware of this and tried to find help. He was told by a group of Nymphs to find
Prometheus. They said that if Hercules were to kill the Eagle that returned everyday to torture
Prometheus, he would in return tell him how to complete his task. So, Hercules set off to find
Prometheus. After slaying the murderous bird, Hercules was informed that Atlas was his best
chance at procuring some golden apples. So Hercules again set off in search of Atlas. Hercules
struck a deal with Atlas. It basically said that Hercules would bear the burden of Atlas for a short
while, meanwhile Atlas would enter the garden and get the apples for Hercules. After Atlas had
successfully made it back with the apples, he told Hercules that he would just take them to
Eurystheus himself. Hercules slyly agreed, but asked if Atlas could hold it long enough for
Hercules to place some padding on his shoulders to help with the load. But Hercules took the
apples and ran without looking back and returned to Eurystheus with the apples prepared to tackle
his final labor before he was accepted into Olympus as a God. And Atlas was left to bear the weight
of the heavens forever in

Performance Indicator
Robb Osinski and Bob Winskowicz had been friends for twelve years and business partners for
five. In the middle of 2002, they felt that they were on the verge of a breakthrough in the
commercialization of a new technology that their firm, Performance Indicator, LLC, had developed
to let golfers know when a used golf ball had suffered performance degradation due to immersion
in water hazards like ponds and creeks on golf courses. Specifically, they held patents on
technology that would change the color or appearance of balls when they had been submerged in
water for an extended period of time. Osinski and Winskowicz originally believed that selling the
idea would be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The U.S. Golf Association (USGA) specified the characteristics of legal balls within tight
parameters. These restrictions on size, weight, materials, texture, etc., seemingly left little room
for product innovation. In fact, the USGA regulations specified not just what went into a ball,
but how it could perform, stipulating to within 10 20 yards how far the ball could travel when
hit by a certain type of club traveling at a certain speed, all verified under controlled conditions
with robotic testing equipment. Nonetheless, new product introductions were rampant in the
industry, with slight changes in surface coatings and dimple patterns, for example, being touted
for their ability to add a handful of yards to a golfer s shots, to give more accuracy, or to create
greater control through faster spin on the ball. In addition, ball manufacturers spent millions of
dollars on advertising campaigns for their balls. There were three basic types of balls, all
conforming to the same general specifications. The oldest technology still in use was the three
piece ball, which consisted of a core, windings, and a cover; this ball was good for spin and
overall control. The second, and most popular, type of ball was the twopiece ball, which eliminated
the windings of the three piece ball; this ball produced more distance. The newest technology was
the solid core, multi layered ball, which had taken the

The Association Between Parenting And Its Effect On Child...
Now that the association between parenting and its effect on child behavior is made relative, we
can take a look at negative parenting styles and its association with delinquency. Wilma Smeenk,
and Jan Gerris have done an analysis that associated parenting with delinquency. This analysis was
able to link parental monitoring, psychological control, and negative aspects of support like
rejection and hostility. The demographic was divided by parentand child gender, child age,
informant on parenting, and delinquency type.
Parenting dimensions have been proposed by two dimensions, support and control. These
dimensions are used to analyze the quality of parenting behaviors. The support dimension refers to
parenting towards children that makes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Authoritarian control is more directed to adult oriented, restricted, and firm discipline techniques. It
emphasizes the negative aspect of control like harsh punishment and rejection. Authoritative control
has positive effects on child behavior unlike authoritarian control which has been found to have
negative effects on the children.
Males appear to participate in more delinquent behaviors than females do. One ideas shows that
males may be vulnerable to risk factors for delinquency because of sub par parenting. Another idea
is that delinquency is the same for males and females, but boys are more exposed to to
opportunities for delinquency than females. In addition to child gender, the gender of the parent
also plays a role. The link between fathers parenting and mothers parenting to a child s delinquency
can be different. The amount of time a father and mother spends with their child is not the same.
The study suggests that the differences between the link between delinquency and paternal and
maternal parenting, a fathers supportive behavior was more strongly related to delinquency than
mothers support. In order to analyze whether the same sex between parents and child influenced
delinquent behavior the study broke up subjects by fathers sons and mothers daughters, and fathers
daughters and mothers sons The link

Cyst Case Study
Results
Over a period of 4 years, 10 patients (6 men and 4 women) with abdominal complications of VP
shunt catheter were managed. Their ages at operation were ranged from 10 months to 17 years
(table 1). All patients were investigated, diagnosed and managed laporoscopically. The median
operative time of the laparoscopic procedure varied according to the diagnosis. It was 120 minutes
in abdominal pseudocysts, 45 minutes in recurrent congenital inguinal hernias, 100 minutes in
adhesive intestinal obstruction and 35 minutes in subcutaneous cyst. All patients were completed
laparascopically except one patient with large amalgamated abdominal pseudocyst; it was converted
to laparotomy with complete excision of the cyst and removal of the catheter ... Show more content

Our series reinforces the feasibility and safety of laparoscopic management for distal catheter
complications. The advantages of the laparoscopic approach include a shorter hospital stay because
of less postoperative pain. The catheter is positioned under direct vision with less bowel
manipulation, thus reducing the risk of bowel injury and the development of adhesions(3).
Laparoscopy allows us to replace the shunts in the abdominal cavity under direct visual guidance
and cut them to appropriate size if necessary.
In addition, laparoscopy is a diagnostic tool that can be used to exclude any other intra abdominal
process possibly causing abdominal pain. Laparoscopy can be repeated several times in case of
further complications because it is less invasive. This is not the case with laparotomy, which is
more traumatic (3).
The potential problem that has been raised is retrograde leakage of carbon dioxide into the
ventricle. This was not recognized in our series and has not been reported previously. A recent in
vitro study found that none of the valves tested showed any signs of leak associated with
increased gaseous back pressure below a pressure of 80 mm

Keep your head high, your bow higher and your confidence at the highest. Cheer is a big part of

Coors Light
Executive Summary Coors prominence in the beer industry has always been overshadowed by
its bigger competitors like Budweiser, Miller and Molson, but new insights unearthed by this
report may pave new roads for a more exciting future. The first part of our analysis describes the
typical Coors drinker as an aged 25 to 44 male light beerdrinker consuming almost seven bottles a
week. He also works in a managerial or professional occupation earning over $30,000 annually.
Coors three competitors also exhibit a similar consumer base with the exception of Molson being
predominantly regular beer consumers. These conclusions are tested to be statistically significant.

Inversely, this describes the positive skewness in tracking the frequency of Coors consumption
(Exhibit 2), as mean number of drinks consumed is 6.82 while the median is 6 and hence identifies
the effects of outliers due to a few consumers with extremely high consumption. Furthermore, data
also provides us with consumer information on major competitors as indicated to be Budweiser,
Miller and Molson (Exhibit 5) which is consistent with the findings on brand loyalty showing those
three brands to dominate the industry in the beer market (Exhibit 1). Therefore, three substitute
brands may have a potential overlap with the market audience of Coors. This can be demonstrated
in observing substitution effects of major competitor Budweiser as their users prefer Miller,
Michelob and Coors when the Budweiser product is unavailable (Exhibit 6). Additionally, Coors
second leading competitor Miller substitution rates show users willing to shift to Budweiser, Coors,
and Michelob when the Miller brand is not offered (Exhibit 7). Finally, another major Molson
substitution data depicts users moving to Samuel Adams, Heineken, Coors and Budweiser when
Molson is unattainable (Exhibit 8). In general, it is observed that Coors and its competitors have an
overwhelming substitution effect where beer consumers switch interchangeably between several
brands, suggesting brands may have similar consumers associations. As compared to the Coors
loyalty customers, Miller, Budweiser and Molson

Germany set out to build a society in which there simply would be no more room for Jews.
(Wiesel, viii) They also state that, It is obvious that the war which Hitler and his accomplices
waged was a war not only against Jewish men, women, and children, but also against Jewish
religion, Jewish culture, Jewish tradition, therefore Jewish memory. (Wiesel, viii) This shows just
how badly the Nazis wanted to kill the Jews. They made them work and then decided to kill them
off. In the end they got their wish when while watching their friends and neighbors fall dead all
around them, when there were many who started dying off. (Wiesel) The whole purpose for their
mistreatment towards the Jews was because they simply didn t want them there. They wanted to be

Their cooperation consist in several different areas. For Germany, as an example, cooperation
consisted of inter parliamentary cooperation, economic cooperation which began in 2005 in areas
such as energy, banking system, agriculture, coal industry, metallurgy, transportation, engineering
and public utility infrastructure. Legal cooperation also exists in the arenas of economy, industry,
science and technology, promotion, and agreement to avoid double taxation of taxes, as well as
trade, economic, and investment cooperation.

consist in? Explain and provide examples (talk about at least 3 organizations).
Ukraine cooperates with international organizations the Council of Europe, UNESCO, and NATO.
With NATO, Ukraine signed a charter that set political commitments of both sides to continue
developing on high level a distinctive and effective partnership, which will promote further
stability and common democratic values in Central and Eastern Europe ( Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Ukraine). It also set the foundation on which NATO and Ukraine agreed to work together
for Euro Atlantic security and stability and in the areas such as conflict prevention, crisis
management, peace support and humanitarian operations (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine).
NATO Ukraine relations deal with problems, boost mutual efforts and interaction for consolidating
peace and stability in Europe, and maintaining legal standards to meet those of the new European

Although students who work and do not work experience there stress levels differently and
according to the study more working college students experience more of a stress level then non
working students but the most interesting finding in this study is that working college students
have a higher grade point then the non working students (p.384). Suggestions as to why that were
presented in the article is that students who work and go to school full time have the ability to
manage their time more wisely then those who do not work (p.396 387). This data is again
represented in another study that was produced by Lang (2012) which clarifies that college
students who work maintain a higher grade point average then students who do not work (p.250).
Another aspect that Lang s experiment clarifies that more working students spend more time one
their studies and working then they do with their social lives (p.250). This is because students
learn how to priorities and in order to priorities they have to give up something in this case it is
their social life. Learning how to prioritize students gain the ability to develop time management

Mondelez International Strategy Case Study
Mondelez International Inc. is a large manufacturer and marketing company with a variety of
beverage products and snack foods. The company came into existence in 2012 when Kraft Foods
Inc. went through a corporate restructuring in order to implement high growth global snacks.
(Gamble, 2016.) Nabisco, Oreo, Trident gum, and Oscar Mayer are a few brands that operate under
Mondelez Inc.
Corporate Strategy As I mentioned above, Mondelez was created to fit a need that Kraft Foods Inc.
had to increase their growth globally. Kraft Foods Inc. established their name in 2007 when they
broke apart from Altria Group. Kraft became the second largest processed food company in 2012
with annual revenues of more than $54 billion in 2012 (Gamble, 2016). However, significant
growth in the company was not much different from that in 2007 when they became independent.
It is the belief of the company s upper management and board that the reason for their stagnation
was due to the fact that their corporate strategy was not focused on the growth of the company.
This changed in 2012 when Kraft teamed up with Mondelez International Inc. Mondelez
International s strategy was directed at exploiting its powerful brands of snack foods across the
165 country markets where its products were sold. (Gamble, 2016) The company aimed to fulfill
their strategy by expanding the company s product line to include cookies, chocolates, candy, gum,

Why Is Super Size Me Effective
Super Size Me increases its effectiveness by using strategic clips, lack of knowledge, and
solemnity to play with the viewer s emotions and cause for a more drastic reaction by its
viewers. Many times throughout the film, obese children, men, and women alike are shown doing
activities as drastic as chanting the names of fast food restaurants to something as regular as
walking. While the title screen is rolling, Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen is played over multiple
clips of overweight and obese people standing in lines at various fast food restaurants. In this

How Did New York Influence Early American History
From the moment of its first colonization by Peter Stuyvesant as New Netherlands, New York
State showed military promise to both the British and the French. Colonial New York extended
from the Atlantic at New York Harbor all the way north, to the great lakes on the border of the
French colonies of Quebec and Ontario, which made up the combined colony of Canada. Its great
size places it perfectly in between the Southern States and New England. Therefore, whoever
controlled New York controlled the fate of both regions of the original 13 states. New York is
utilized for its geographical importance in two of the most prominent wars of early American
history: The French and Indian War and The American Revolution. The significance of New York

Carillon, more commonly known as Fort Ticonderoga, was the most important one. Fort
Ticonderoga, located on Lake Champlain and near Lake George, provided defense against
northern access to the Hudson River, and ultimately New York Harbor. Major General James
Abercromby commanded the assault on Fort Ticonderoga in the July of 1758. Fort Ticonderoga
was defended by the Marquis de Montcalm and his thirty five hundred French and Native
American troops while Abercrombie led fifteen thousand British troops (Gilchrist). They were
initially unable to overcome a French abattis, which is a field fortification used as an obstacle
made of tree branches laid in a row with the sharpened tops pointed towards the enemy. This along
with trenches, greatly hindered the British and after six failed attempts, they retreated. This was
not the last of the British as they tried again in 1759 under the command of Sir Jeffery Amherst.
This attack, after learning from the previous one, was successful as French forces, without
knowledge of the attack, migrated to defend Quebec against the rest of the British campaign. By

Analysis Of The Poem Not Coy Mistress By Andrew Marvell
Maira L. Herrera Sanchez Professor Emily N. Bartz English 203 9 February 2015 Sex Over
Time in Andrew Marvell s, To His Coy Mistress Sex and lust have changed greatly over time,
especially since the late 1600s. In the poem, To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell the
relationship between sex and time is rather passionate, but shifts as Marvell metaphorically
describes time. The horrifying tone put on the metaphors, allusions, and the hyperboles play an
important role in the understanding of Marvell s meaning on sex and lust of the speaker s lady
over time. The idea that each sex act shortened someone s life has come a long way. On the other
hand it is believed that the message Marvell was trying to address was how the cold lady
threatened the speakers love for her. Another idea is that the poem is based on death, and how
everything will one day die, rather than the passionate approach. I will prove how these 2 ideas
are wrong. In lines Marvell introduces the relation between time and the lady at fault, the speaker
wants to love her but it is difficult, Had we but world enough, and time, This Coyness, lady, were
no crime (Mays 739). Marvell shows how if they had time she would not be at fault, more
specifically their sexual acts, and lust for one another would be the opposite of sinful. Marvell
introduces the Ganges side in line 5 to begin to show that idea of motion and time. Then he
emphasizes the motion of time even further when Marvell uses the

Emotional Abuse Signs
When you hear the word abuse one might think of a man hitting his wife or girlfriend, a woman
with covered up bruises and physical marks. It is a subject that gets discussed more, something
that is more often shown on popular television shows and movies. But there is another type of
abuse that does not get shown or talked about as much. It is called emotional abuse and just
because it does not show physically in marks or bruises does not make it any less dangerous and
damaging. The first step to addressing this abuse is to understand the signs. You may be
experiencing emotional abuse if your partner calls you names, insults you or puts you down,

Another response why men may not report their abuse is that in one study, it was said that Male
domestic violence victims who come to law enforcement attention are more likely to be future
suspects for domestic violence than female victims (http://www.opdv.ny.gov/, 2016). Another
shocking fact was that subtle psychological abuse is more harmful than either over psychological
abuse or direct aggression (O Leary Mairuo, 2005). It is also suggested that those who are
victims of emotional abuse are more likely to suffer from long term damage to their mental health.
Often times it can take form in depression, post traumatic stress disorder, they may become
suicidal, and can even develop distrust for others (O Leary Mairuo, 2005). Another study also
found that emotional abuse was more common in younger people and is on the rise due to increase
in women being in law enforcement roles, women s empowerment through feminism and while the
rates of men being victims to this abuse is on the rise as previously stated, the rates of women
being emotionally abused are declining, so quite the opposite affect. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov,

Reflective Practice
As pointed out before, RP is a trending topic nowadays but also confusing. The ambiguity and the
overlapping use of terms complicate the understanding (hebert, tsingos 2014). Boud 1985 p.8
points out that it is not a single facet term but a generic/umbrella one that involves a range of ideas
and activities. In order to apply the concept correctly to dental education, I will present different
definitions of related terms such as reflection, critical reflection and reflexivity. Reflective Practice
There is some consensus about the RP definition and it is generally understood as the process of
learning through and from experience towards gaining new insights of self and/or practice {Finlay,
2008 p.1}. It involves the examination of daily practical assumptions, the self awareness of the
practitioner and the critical evaluation of the own action. RP breaks the assumption that reflection

This definition links feelings and cognition. It also presumes an intentional activity, or purpose
learning (Moon, Amulya date) which is in line with many definitions of reflection (Dewey, Moon).
However, reflection could be only thinking about something, and not necessary in a deeply,
carefully or purposefully way. Therefore, there is an argument for having different levels of
reflection (see van manen, hebert, mezirow), All of these suggests that critical reflection is the
highest or the most important level, and it is this that I consider next. Critical Reflection Mezirow
(1990) contemplated reflective practice and identified that there was more to reflection than simply
thinking about experiences, suggesting that critical reflection involves a critique on the
assumptions on which our beliefs and values have developed (hickson p.

To gain happiness, people believe that they should have to change everything about themselves.
Meanwhile, when they change themselves they would eventually go back to their old habits. It s
imperative that you re happy with yourself and have determination to change for the better. The

Religious Freedom And Toleration In Maryland Essay
The history of Maryland is closely related to religious freedom and toleration. Many of the first
Europeans to arrive in Maryland did so in order to escape religious persecution in England.
Maryland thus came to be considered the birthplace of religious freedom in America. However,
residents of Maryland, along with many people throughout the world, continue to face challenges
to religious freedom. Since the early settlers of this area were motivated by religious freedom and
toleration, Maryland has grown into a center of religious activity in which issues and challenges
regarding religionremain important to the people of Maryland today. Throughout many historical
periods, persecution of minority religions reigned prominently in England. The Catholics are one
such group to experience oppression by the English sporadically throughout European history.
The first wave of Catholic persecution occurred when King Henry VIII declared himself head of
the Church of England in 1534. He accomplished this via the Act of Supremacy, which made any
allegiance to the Pope legally treasonous. The act was later repealed by Henry s daughter, Queen
Mary I, making Catholicism the state religion in England once more. However such a respite for
Catholics would not last. The Act of Supremacy was reinstated under Queen Elizabeth I,... Show

from the practice of IT. IT research will address questions related to the content of practice, that is,
questions about computing. IT research will also address questions related to the process of

countries of Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia as well as other countries such as Hungary as part of
the Hapsburg Empire. The other big empire was the Turkish Ottoman Empire. All the individual
areas had different ethnic groups and religions. The Croats were Roman Catholic, people living in
Bosnia were mainly Muslim, as were people living in Kosovo. Serbia was a separate independent

allocation. This study investigated the induced pattern of defense of resource allocation to
root:shoot ratio as a response to simulated mechanical herbivory. Monarch butterfly larvae
herbivory were simulated through mechanical herbivory of four treatments. It was found that there
was a significant difference between species, but there were no significant differences between
treatments. This study examines the divergent evolutionin three species of milkweed responses to
herbivory.

tuberosa, exaltata, and sullivantii). The genus, milkweed, is a native weedy plant that occurs
throughout eastern North America in numerous habitats such as roadsides, wooded areas,
prairies, and mesic environments (Van Zandt and Agrawal, 2004). A. tuberosa is a species of
milkweed that favors dry, sandy soil. A. exaltata is found in moist wooded areas in partial to full
sun. A. sullivantii is a prairie species of milkweed that is common across North America.
Milkweed is the major food plant for migrating monarch adults and their larvae. When damaged,
milkweed plants immediately exude white latex that serves as a physical defense barrier to
herbivores. This latex, along with all other plant parts, varies on their effectiveness depending if
the herbivory is a specialist and generalist (Malcom and Zalucki, 1996). Resulting from a herbivory
event, a plant will respond by allocating resources to belowground biomass thus increasing the

Islamic Law And Islamic Banking
Forty years ago, the Islamic banking industry was created, on a modest scale, to fill a gap in a
banking system that was not listening to the fervent Muslim believers. Morocco has been
following the same development in offering Islamic finance services to its citizens through
Islamic windows in conventional banks. In parallel to this development of the Islamic financial
industry in Morocco, it seems very crucial to evaluate critically based on Maliki law school the
previous experience of Islamic windows in conventional banks. Taking into considerations, the
differences between schools in the interpretation and implementation of Islamic law in economy
life, the objective of this paper was to critically analysis the practice of Islamic banks in Morocco.
This paper aimed at analyzing the characteristics of different schools of Islamic law and how this
would affect Islamic banking. The final aim of this paper was to highlight the importance of
jurisprudence/ new interpretations in developing Islamic banking. Qualitative methodology based
on semi directive interviewees was the main approach for this paper. Three levels of gaps have
been found out. These gaps are related respectively to Murabaha, Musharaka and Ijara. Three
recommendations have been advised to fill the gaps: Absolute isolation of Fund, Sharia auditing
committee And Compliance with AAOIFI Standards

they may have the right to do things such as go out alone or know passcodes on doors doesn t
mean its at their best interests, so you are there to provide the duty of care for that service user and
have evidence at why you think it is not for their best interest, and to support them in any choice
they make. TC 34.1.1

The Conspiracies Associated With The Reason Why The Usa...
The conspiracies associated with the reason why the USA joined the Vietnam War led to massive
resistance against the draft in the early 1970 s. In response to being picked in the draft, many
Americans fled to Canada because American citizens believed that the federal government had
selfish and unreasonable intentions in joining the war in Vietnam, which was to destroy the spread
of communism. The intentions of the federal government when joining the Vietnam War relates
to The Things They Carried by Tim O Brien because Tim O Brien also considered dodging the
draft and immigrating to Canada but as a consequence of social pressure, the guilt he felt resulted
in the change of his mindset. While On the Rainy River condemns the idea of heroism because it
applies oppressive pressure on soldiers, The Ghost Soldiers celebrates the idea of heroism because
it allows one to enter dangerous situations with great fortitude in order to save others lives.
In the beginning of On The Rainy River, O Brien condemns the idea of heroism because he feels
that it is unfair that he is forced to fight in Vietnam when he doesn t find the true purpose of the
war. O Brien is flabbergasted when he receives news of his nomination from the draft to fight in
Vietnam: I was too good for this war. Too smart, too compassionate, too everything (39). When O
Brien claims to be too good, too smart, too compassionate, he emphasizes the inherent unfairness of
the draft process. Even though he has the

Flathead Fish Case Study
The weather was just perfect for the 29 anglers who signed up and took to the Colorado River, in
search of the heaviest channel and flathead fish, at the10th West Coast Area Flatsmaster
Tournament held in Ripley.
Setting sail in small and medium sized boats into the aqua colored water, the men and women
competed for monetary prizes, in hopes of receiving a good catch on last Saturday.
As a series of competitive fishing around Southern California, people came from the San Diego, La
Quinta and the Victorville area to participate, along with residents from Blythe and Ripley.
Said to be equally good in the Colorado River, the two categories for competing was Channel and
Flathead fish.

Second place went to Dalton Churchwell for his catch of a 27.3 pounder and standing in 3rd place
was Darren Mallett and his 20.14 flathead.
In the same manner, 1st place went to Nefrali Cano for receiving the weight of 9.6 for his
caughtchannel fish; placing 2nd was Max Garcia s fish, weighing in at 8.13 and 3rd place was
awarded to Tyrus Chornwick, collecting 6.11 pounds.
[As you can see,] we had several anglers rewarded with some pretty respectable size flathead catfish
for any tournament, Cunningham said.
According to Cunningham s log book, the largest catch of the year was a 40.9 pounder in Imperial
Valley and a 39 pounder flathead caught on last year.
Since this is a five part series fishing competition, Cunningham said the next leg of the tournament
will be the Canal Expedition, hosted in Imperial County in September, but everyone will come
back in October for the Grand Championship at Max s Bait Shop in Palo Verde.
At the last event in October, we will crown the flathead king and the channel king, Cunningham
said.
The same people will come out again and compete at our season finale. Each qualifier weighted
amount for their biggest catch will be totaled and added to whatever they catch at this

Business idea: Luxury hotel
1.1 Describe what may be the advantages and disadvantages of using qualitative research approach
for your business plan.
Qualitative research approach is used in exploratory research designs. Conducting a primary
research will require the researcher to gather background information, clarify research problems,
and create hypotheses or establish research priorities. Collection of data in this kind of research is
in the form of text, or images using open ended questions, and observation.
The advantages of using a qualitative research approach in conducting a primary research is the
data gathered will be rich. The amount of details needed for the research is contained in the
information gathered may it be from text, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The advantage of using this kind of research approach is it allows the researcher to have broader
study which implicates more subjects. Thus, it enhances the generalization of the results. In
addition, the research can be duplicated or replicated. Similar data can be used to analyze and
compare with the similar studies in the past. Personal bias can also be limited and avoided by
researchers by means of employing subjects anonymous to them. The data collected for quantitative
approach is precise enough to identify even small differences because it uses numerical data it is
quantifiable. It is also easier to administer and record answers to structured questions. The time
consumed to gather information is lesser than compared to gathering information for qualitative
research approach.
On the other hand, the downside of a quantitative research is that the results are limited because the
responses provided are numerical descriptions and not detailed narrative so as a result, it provides
less intricate interpretations of human perception. In depth data will be difficult to

Essay On Landlords
Saving Drains From Tenant Tyranny: 10 Ways Landlords Can Keep Their Plumbing Clog Free
Owning rental property can be rewarding and lucrative, but it can sometimes be one headache after
another, especially if tenants misuse or abuse your apartments. Clogged pipes are one instance
where being a landlord can literally drain your time and money to no end. Here are 10 helpful ways
to avoid that mess, once and for all.
1. Specify Who Is Responsible For Clogs In The Lease
You should include a clause in the lease your tenants sign, indicating if they or you will be
responsible for drain cleaning and clogs. Failure to include this information will likely leave you
on the hook every time a slight issue arises with drains. Be sure to read this ... Show more content

This preventative action, too, will work in your favor if the next tenant tries to complain that
persistent clogging is a result of your inaction.
4. Stock Up On Drain Screens For Your Tubs
Drain screens are cheap and easy to store and while you don t want to make a habit of buying
things your tenants should be buying themselves, having extra screens on hand may be worthwhile
if doing so prevents those annoying and often time consuming clogs. You could limit the number of
free screens you provide each tenant, but since you can t force them to buy their own, giving them
away will likely save you money and time in the long run.
5. Equip Washing Machine Hoses With Lint Catchers
If you own washing machines on the property, be sure and equip them all with lint catchers. This
will eliminate a lot of added debris from entering the system and potentially causing more clogs.
6. Never Rinse Your Carpenter Tools In The Sinks
Whether you or hired professionals take care of re grouting, caulking and other carpentry jobs at
your rental units, make sure no one ever uses the sinks to rinse tools off. Even when it s only done
occasionally, all that goop going down the drains can add up to costly clogs later.
7. Clean Pop Up Stoppers Regularly
All of your bathroom sinks should have pop up stoppers in them and it s a good idea for you (or

Spirituality And Religion
The terms religion and spirituality can have both similarities and differences. Religion can be
explained as a set of beliefs that has structure and is practiced within a group or community. It
involves worshipping of superhuman beings, and often contains certain teachings in which its
believers/followers abide by and practice in everyday society. Although not all religions incorporate
a God, the Catholic Church is centred around the Triune God (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit). Catholic
teachings reflect the actions that God/Jesus displayed for the sake of humanity. Religious art, is
significant within a religionas it is considered to be a sacred material, in which provides proper
guidance and hope. Religious art provides many purposes such... Show more content on

This art pictures Jesus as the Miracle Worker . This is explained in full in Matthew 12:22 33.
This story explains how Jesus sent the disciples by ship back to the other side of the Sea of
Galilee after they became caught in a wind storm. When the first saw Jesus on the water they
were frightened. They believed he was a ghost. Jesus said to them not to be afraid. In the Gospel
of Matthew, Peter walked on the water towards Jesus, but doubted himself and began to sink.
Jesus reached out and caught him. After Jesus entered the ship, the storm settled, and they
arrived at land. Christian teachings consider the story a miracle and displays the importance of
faith. Peter didn t believe he could achieve what he set out to do, and ultimately due to this he
didn t succeed. This sacred story is another example of how religion provides certain ways to live
to benefit yourself and others. This interacts with spirituality as these teachings allow people to
develop personally and have a better state of mind. The main symbol evident is the light that
appears out of the darkness when Jesus appears on the surface of the water. This symbol
represents hope as Jesus has come to rescue them from the storm. The light also appeared as Jesus
calmed the storm and so the light would be perceived as a symbol for life and happiness as

The journey of life is all about a desire to find unity and peace. The story of Siddhartha is no different. It is about a journey to find peace, harmony and contentment both now and in the afterlife. Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse, is a story about Siddhartha, a man who is on a spiritual journey to find truth. In Hinduism, the goal is to obtain enlightenment and reach Nirvana; a state in which the mind is enlightened transcending all suffering and achieving peace To reach Nirvana, the individual must escape samsara the eternal cycle of birth, suffering, death and rebirth (Merriam Webster). It marks the directorial debut of Kris Avedisian, which couldn t be more auspicious in terms of building pragmatic, tense scenarios while shaping the characters with pinpoint accuracy. He also stars as Donald and wrote the script based on his own 2012 short film of the same name. The camera lens fixates on Peter Lateng (Jesse Wakeman), a successful Manhattan banker forced to return to his small hometown, where he intends to spend just one night or two to take care of things related to his grandmother, who just passed away. What Changes Have Happened Since 1945 In Technology Essay pop culture technology In this essay I will cover the changes that have happened since 1945 in technology and secondly I will cover the influences that changed technology and thirdly I will talk about the positives and negatives of the advances of technology. What changes have happened since 1945 in technology? The main form of household communications device most people had in their homes was the radio to listen to music and also dance to it any time they wanted even when doing chores in the house as many people I know still do not to mention my mother, she always listens to mix 102.3 when she is doing chores and also when she is helping with my homework which is really important and she always turns up the music when it s her favorite songs . Televisions existed in 1945, but they were generally very expensive and the programming options were very few. In back to the future which is a movie that was made in the 80s I saw a scene when Marty Mcfly was travelling to the past and then when Marty was in his mother s house they bought a new television set which they said was very expensive and was in black and white . The televisions exploded tremendously in popularity in the 50s and 70s and know in the twenty first century people are buying more than one television in their house. As years and years went on, ... Employee Motivational Session In my opinion, this session went extremely well, however in the beginning of the session; Amanda was not ready to change as evidenced by her repeatedly stating, Smoking marijuana is not a big deal. I found this to be a challenge because although Amanda s kids were removed she still was not ready to proceed with change as indicated by her stating that it s not hurting anyone. After Amanda stated why she was visiting me, I began the session with an affirmation, by telling Amanda that I knew that it took a lot for her to come and willingly share openly with me, and I thanked her for that. By stating this I showed support and empathy to Amanda which is something she needed because she thanked me and stated that no one sees the good and me. Through Amanda stating this, it shows me that she has lost motivation because of past encounters with people judging her. Amanda also stated, I feel like I can talk to you and you are willing to listen to my side. This statement Amanda made shows that somewhere along the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 7. How The Garcia Lost Their Accents By Julia Alvarez Who am I? Who are we? Where do I belong? What is self identity? These are a few questions that people will ask themselves within their lifetime. Self identity is the way in which one person identifies themselves within a social environment. In How the Garcia Lost Their Accents by Julia Alvarez, we are able to see four girls who move from the Dominican Republic to the United States where they begin to lose their heritage and values of being Spanish women, and create new lives. When moving to a new country one recreates their identitythrough language, they endure the struggle of not fitting in, and they also become isolated from society. Four girls moving from their home, language became a vital role in their lives, in the United States. Having being exposed to both English and Spanish languageit shows how both cultures are shown through their identity and the way in which they express themselves. The Garcia girls had an ideal picture of what an American mother would be, when they were not satisfied in the way Laura, their mother, acted or handle the her role as an American mother. The girls would blatantly called their mother Mom instead of Mami . According to Dastgoshadeh and Kaveh, students of Islamic Azad University, Language is not only an instrument for communication but also related to a set of behavioral norms and cultural values of which one s self identity is constructed. • 11. Syntactic And Morphological Skills In Autism Introduction The focus of the study was on how children with autism develop syntactic and morphological skills and if they apply alternative ways of learning such as memorization techniques in order to make up for the lack of normal morphological processing and if they learn grammatical morphemes in an unusual form. Previous studies have proposed the idea that children with autism present unusual syntactic and morphological skills; however, there is not sufficient information available on this topic. Existing studies have yet to indicate how these skills differentiate to children with developmental delay without autism. Moreover, the question of this research is important for deciding whether language impairments are merely linked to autism or developmental delay. Three different hypotheses were presented by the researchers of this study. The first hypothesis explained that children with autism would obtain lower scores on the tests measuring morphological and syntactic skills than children without autism and developmental delay. The second hypothesis was that children with autism would obtain lower scores on the tests measuring the ability to apply plural... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 12. God Is The Pure Essence Of Perfect No one on this Earth is perfect, only our God is the pure essence of perfect. With God s love and perfection He is able to use us, the imperfect, to carry out His will. We have all sinned and continue to ask for forgiveness when needed. Although we are not perfect, God still has a plan for our lives and it is our duty to follow out His will. In the Old Testament there are books of history, which discuss God s use of some imperfect individuals to accomplish His purpose for Israel. There are twelve books exactly that deal with the history of the nation of Israel and how God accomplished His goals. These twelve books are Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1st and 2nd Samuel, 1st and 2nd Kings, 1st and 2nd Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. These books share a prophetic view of history describing how the obedience or disobedience of God s people is directly tied to the blessings and curses of the covenant. The first of these books is Joshua. In this book, the possession of the land by the nation is the main point. It tells us the story of Israel s arrival at Canaan, otherwise known as the Promise Land, while under the leadership of Joshua. God appoints Joshua as a leader and that he will never leave him or forsake him. Joshua stood strong in his faith, his obedience to God, and he was courageous. So although Joshua was one out of many men that were not apparently flawed, this book is a foundation for all that was to come. The second book of history was Judges. The Book of Judges is ... After the gods of olympus, led by Zeus defeated the titans, Atlas was charged to eternally bear the weight of the world on his shoulders. To be a bit more specific, Atlas was mandated to keep apart the heavens and the Earth. This was the predicament of a number of titans at the hands of Zeusand the other Gods. For example, Prometheus , creator of the Earth is tortured eternally. Every Day, a murderous phoenix attacks him and steals his liver, and everyday, his liver grows back so that he suffers the pain each and every day. After slaying the murderous bird, Hercules was informed that Atlas was his best chance at procuring some golden apples. So Hercules again set off in search of Atlas. Hercules struck a deal with Atlas. It basically said that Hercules would bear the burden of Atlas for a short while, meanwhile Atlas would enter the garden and get the apples for Hercules. After Atlas had successfully made it back with the apples, he told Hercules that he would just take them to Eurystheus himself. Hercules slyly agreed, but asked if Atlas could hold it long enough for Hercules to place some padding on his shoulders to help with the load. In the middle of 2002, they felt that they were on the verge of a breakthrough in the commercialization of a new technology that their firm, Performance Indicator, LLC, had developed to let golfers know when a used golf ball had suffered performance degradation due to immersion in water hazards like ponds and creeks on golf courses. The U.S. Golf Association (USGA) specified the characteristics of legal balls within tight parameters. These restrictions on size, weight, materials, texture, etc., seemingly left little room for product innovation. In fact, the USGA regulations specified not just what went into a ball, but how it could perform, stipulating to within 10 20 yards how far the ball could travel when hit by a certain type of club traveling at a certain speed, all verified under controlled conditions with robotic testing equipment. Nonetheless, new product introductions were rampant in the industry, with slight changes in surface coatings and dimple patterns, for example, being touted for their ability to add a handful of yards to a golfer s shots, to give more accuracy, or to create greater control through faster spin on the ball. In addition, ball manufacturers spent millions of dollars on advertising campaigns for their balls. There were three basic types of balls, all conforming to the same general specifications. The oldest technology still in use was the three piece ball, which consisted of a core, windings, and a cover; this ball was good for spin and overall control. The second, and most popular, type of ball was the twopiece ball, which eliminated the windings of the three piece ball; this ball produced more distance. Now that the association between parenting and its effect on child behavior is made relative, we can take a look at negative parenting styles and its association with delinquency. This analysis was able to link parental monitoring, psychological control, and negative aspects of support like rejection and hostility. Authoritarian control is more directed to adult oriented, restricted, and firm discipline techniques. It emphasizes the negative aspect of control like harsh punishment and rejection. Authoritative control has positive effects on child behavior unlike authoritarian control which has been found to have negative effects on the children. Males appear to participate in more delinquent behaviors than females do. One ideas shows that males may be vulnerable to risk factors for delinquency because of sub par parenting. Another idea is that delinquency is the same for males and females, but boys are more exposed to to opportunities for delinquency than females. In addition to child gender, the gender of the parent also plays a role. The link between fathers parenting and mothers parenting to a child s delinquency can be different. The amount of time a father and mother spends with their child is not the same. The study suggests that the differences between the link between delinquency and paternal and maternal parenting, a fathers supportive behavior was more strongly related to delinquency than mothers support. Their ages at operation were ranged from 10 months to 17 years (table 1). All patients were investigated, diagnosed and managed laporoscopically. The median operative time of the laparoscopic procedure varied according to the diagnosis. It was 120 minutes in abdominal pseudocysts, 45 minutes in recurrent congenital inguinal hernias, 100 minutes in adhesive intestinal obstruction and 35 minutes in subcutaneous cyst. All patients were completed laparascopically except one patient with large amalgamated abdominal pseudocyst; it was converted to laparotomy with complete excision of the cyst and removal of the catheter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Our series reinforces the feasibility and safety of laparoscopic management for distal catheter complications. The advantages of the laparoscopic approach include a shorter hospital stay because of less postoperative pain. The catheter is positioned under direct vision with less bowel manipulation, thus reducing the risk of bowel injury and the development of adhesions(3). Laparoscopy allows us to replace the shunts in the abdominal cavity under direct visual guidance and cut them to appropriate size if necessary. In addition, laparoscopy is a diagnostic tool that can be used to exclude any other intra abdominal process possibly causing abdominal pain. Laparoscopy can be repeated several times in case of further complications because it is less invasive. This is not the case with laparotomy, which is more traumatic (3). The potential problem that has been raised is retrograde leakage of carbon dioxide into the ventricle. This was not recognized in our series and has not been reported previously. A recent in vitro study found that none of the valves tested showed any signs of leak associated with increased gaseous back pressure below a pressure of 80 mm ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cheer is a big part of who I am it taught me how to be loud when rooting for my team, helped me build my confidence and also to get back up when I fall down. Pop Warner was the first group I was in for cheer and the first group I got to do competition with. The practices were also outside with no mats. Coors Light Executive Summary Coors prominence in the beer industry has always been overshadowed by its bigger competitors like Budweiser, Miller and Molson, but new insights unearthed by this report may pave new roads for a more exciting future. The first part of our analysis describes the typical Coors drinker as an aged 25 to 44 male light beerdrinker consuming almost seven bottles a week. He also works in a managerial or professional occupation earning over $30,000 annually. Inversely, this describes the positive skewness in tracking the frequency of Coors consumption (Exhibit 2), as mean number of drinks consumed is 6.82 while the median is 6 and hence identifies the effects of outliers due to a few consumers with extremely high consumption. Furthermore, data also provides us with consumer information on major competitors as indicated to be Budweiser, Miller and Molson (Exhibit 5) which is consistent with the findings on brand loyalty showing those three brands to dominate the industry in the beer market (Exhibit 1). Therefore, three substitute brands may have a potential overlap with the market audience of Coors. This can be demonstrated in observing substitution effects of major competitor Budweiser as their users prefer Miller, Michelob and Coors when the Budweiser product is unavailable (Exhibit 6). Additionally, Coors second leading competitor Miller substitution rates show users willing to shift to Budweiser, Coors, and Michelob when the Miller brand is not offered (Exhibit 7). Finally, another major Molson substitution data depicts users moving to Samuel Adams, Heineken, Coors and Budweiser when Molson is unattainable (Exhibit 8). In general, it is observed that Coors and its competitors have an overwhelming substitution effect where beer consumers switch interchangeably between several brands, suggesting brands may have similar consumers associations. Corporate Strategy As I mentioned above, Mondelez was created to fit a need that Kraft Foods Inc. had to increase their growth globally. Kraft Foods Inc. established their name in 2007 when they broke apart from Altria Group. Bartz English 203 9 February 2015 Sex Over Time in Andrew Marvell s, To His Coy Mistress Sex and lust have changed greatly over time, especially since the late 1600s. In the poem, To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell the relationship between sex and time is rather passionate, but shifts as Marvell metaphorically describes time. The horrifying tone put on the metaphors, allusions, and the hyperboles play an important role in the understanding of Marvell s meaning on sex and lust of the speaker s lady over time. The idea that each sex act shortened someone s life has come a long way. On the other hand it is believed that the message Marvell was trying to address was how the cold lady threatened the speakers love for her. Another idea is that the poem is based on death, and how everything will one day die, rather than the passionate approach. I will prove how these 2 ideas are wrong. In lines Marvell introduces the relation between time and the lady at fault, the speaker wants to love her but it is difficult, Had we but world enough, and time, This Coyness, lady, were no crime (Mays 739). Marvell shows how if they had time she would not be at fault, more specifically their sexual acts, and lust for one another would be the opposite of sinful. Many of the first Europeans to arrive in Maryland did so in order to escape religious persecution in England. Maryland thus came to be considered the birthplace of religious freedom in America. However, residents of Maryland, along with many people throughout the world, continue to face challenges to religious freedom. Since the early settlers of this area were motivated by religious freedom and toleration, Maryland has grown into a center of religious activity in which issues and challenges regarding religionremain important to the people of Maryland today. Throughout many historical periods, persecution of minority religions reigned prominently in England. The Catholics are one such group to experience oppression by the English sporadically throughout European history. The first wave of Catholic persecution occurred when King Henry VIII declared himself head of the Church of England in 1534. He accomplished this via the Act of Supremacy, which made any allegiance to the Pope legally treasonous. Viewing systems broadly and including people as components of systems raises a host of integration issues. * Trade off analysis Development of IT solutions inherently requires trade off among approaches, processes, components, etc. Principles and methods for conducting this analysis are needed for successful IT practice. * Interface issues Integration of system components often results in problems at the interfaces. This is true whether the interfaces involve hardware, or software, or the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This part of the ad practices the use of assonance by repeating that o sound which creates a persuasive tone of voice. Assonance is used here to emphasize the intensity of the situation and it does a very good job doing it. Also in the same ad we use Synesthesia by using a colorful outdoor theme in the background. The use of synesthesia is very persuasive here because it makes the viewer experience other senses than vision. It makes the viewer feel like they are the animal in the ad which is a very good technique to use in this situation because it puts the viewer in the preys shoes. One thing that the Shoes of Prey ad lacks is the amount of text provided in the written ad. This really affects the amount of customers that we acquire. The amount of text is what really can draw people in but without enough information/explanation, it is hard for people to really understand why they should buy the product. Another flaw to the ads were the lack of comparisons. Implementing more forms of comparison (simile or metaphor) would have been very useful in our case. We could have used comparison to show how our product is better than all of our competitors. We should have compared the materials to other companies product to show why our shoes are the ... • 39. Milkweed Response To Herbivory Resource allocation as a result of herbivory has been predicted in plants, but of late has only been investigated. One way to determine resource allocation as a defense to herbivory is to measure both above ground and belowground biomass and calculate root:shoot ratio as an indicator of resource allocation. This study investigated the induced pattern of defense of resource allocation to root:shoot ratio as a response to simulated mechanical herbivory. Monarch butterfly larvae herbivory were simulated through mechanical herbivory of four treatments. A. sullivantii is a prairie species of milkweed that is common across North America. Milkweed is the major food plant for migrating monarch adults and their larvae. When damaged, milkweed plants immediately exude white latex that serves as a physical defense barrier to herbivores. This latex, along with all other plant parts, varies on their effectiveness depending if the herbivory is a specialist and generalist (Malcom and Zalucki, 1996). In response to being picked in the draft, many Americans fled to Canada because American citizens believed that the federal government had selfish and unreasonable intentions in joining the war in Vietnam, which was to destroy the spread of communism. The intentions of the federal government when joining the Vietnam War relates to The Things They Carried by Tim O Brien because Tim O Brien also considered dodging the draft and immigrating to Canada but as a consequence of social pressure, the guilt he felt resulted in the change of his mindset. While On the Rainy River condemns the idea of heroism because it applies oppressive pressure on soldiers, The Ghost Soldiers celebrates the idea of heroism because it allows one to enter dangerous situations with great fortitude in order to save others lives. In the beginning of On The Rainy River, O Brien condemns the idea of heroism because he feels that it is unfair that he is forced to fight in Vietnam when he doesn t find the true purpose of the war. Essay On Landlords Saving Drains From Tenant Tyranny: 10 Ways Landlords Can Keep Their Plumbing Clog Free Owning rental property can be rewarding and lucrative, but it can sometimes be one headache after another, especially if tenants misuse or abuse your apartments. Clogged pipes are one instance where being a landlord can literally drain your time and money to no end. Here are 10 helpful ways to avoid that mess, once and for all. 1. Specify Who Is Responsible For Clogs In The Lease You should include a clause in the lease your tenants sign, indicating if they or you will be responsible for drain cleaning and clogs. Failure to include this information will likely leave you on the hook every time a slight issue arises with drains. Be sure to read this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This preventative action, too, will work in your favor if the next tenant tries to complain that persistent clogging is a result of your inaction. 4. Stock Up On Drain Screens For Your Tubs Drain screens are cheap and easy to store and while you don t want to make a habit of buying things your tenants should be buying themselves, having extra screens on hand may be worthwhile if doing so prevents those annoying and often time consuming clogs. You could limit the number of free screens you provide each tenant, but since you can t force them to buy their own, giving them away will likely save you money and time in the long run. 5. Equip Washing Machine Hoses With Lint Catchers If you own washing machines on the property, be sure and equip them all with lint catchers. This will eliminate a lot of added debris from entering the system and potentially causing more clogs. 6. Never Rinse Your Carpenter Tools In The Sinks Whether you or hired professionals take care of re grouting, caulking and other carpentry jobs at your rental units, make sure no one ever uses the sinks to rinse tools off. Even when it s only done occasionally, all that goop going down the drains can add up to costly clogs later. 7. This story explains how Jesus sent the disciples by ship back to the other side of the Sea of Galilee after they became caught in a wind storm. When the first saw Jesus on the water they were frightened. They believed he was a ghost. Jesus said to them not to be afraid. In the Gospel of Matthew, Peter walked on the water towards Jesus, but doubted himself and began to sink. Jesus reached out and caught him. After Jesus entered the ship, the storm settled, and they arrived at land. Christian teachings consider the story a miracle and displays the importance of faith. Peter didn t believe he could achieve what he set out to do, and ultimately due to this he didn t succeed. This sacred story is another example of how religion provides certain ways to live to benefit yourself and others. This interacts with spirituality as these teachings allow people to develop personally and have a better state of mind. The main symbol evident is the light that appears out of the darkness when Jesus appears on the surface of the water. This symbol represents hope as Jesus has come to rescue them from the storm.
