We will now begin our final marketing presentation on Shinee
I am hwang yoon ju, your first speaker for the first part of the presentation.
Our video was on the hershey chocolate factory plant in Pennsylvania, that was built in 1992.
First, we have closely analyzed the characteristics of the industry of K-pop.
We found out that from the product characteristics analysis, K-pop idols has a short expiration date. What we mean by this is that they are physically limited by their appearances and fitness to continue their profession as an idol. Korean idols especially carry the ‘fresh, youth’ image, thus, as the singers age, they cannot be helped but be disregarded by the public.
Also, we found out that k-pop has a huge ripple effect, especially to the teenagers as even smallest things like what the idols wear can lead to greater boom in the fashion industry. Also it could be possible to argue that these k-pop idols were the starters of Hallyu boom globally.
When we analyzed the purchase characteristics, we found out that mostly the unconditional, lowly-involved fans were the k-pop consumers. The common K-pop music lovers with no specific taste tended to purchase k-pop music, too.
The key marketing issues of this industry were analyzed to be first, having sustainability, second, each idol groups have a definite identity and finally, attempting to keep up with the fast-paced demand state.

Why forecasting demand is important for hershey?

Exact forecasting is also important for ultimate goal which is more profits.
It is important to find out exact forecasting demand model.
This graph shows that the demand is very fluctuating and seasonal so it is easy to analyze historical data for developing exact forecasting demand model.
And this whole forecasting demand information must be shared with other related suppliers.
By putting additional automated machines and system, additional cost can be made. 하지만 그에 따른 이득도 있어서 비용이 상쇄(offset? Counterbalance) 될 것이기 때문에 이는 크게 문제되는 부분이 아니다.
To sum up; with all these solutions mentioned before(비디오 해결책부터 forecasting demand suggestion까지), it would be easier to manage quality and inventory more effectively.
