About a year ago today my family was going through many issues that affected my mental well

issue dealing with mercury poisoning. The author, Karen Wright, writes, Mercury is unimaginably

large lake can make all the fish in it unsafe to eat. This was the opening statement in the article
which first grabbed my attention, because I had not thought mercury to be such a deadly substance.

This is a situation when a patient declines any or parts of any care. Usually this remains the case
despite the effort or numerous attempts by the health care providers or physicians informing the
patient about the benefits of the treatment.
Jehovah s witnesses do have authenticated right to decline blood transfusion. Patients do have the
right to decline treatment despite the fact that some may be suffering with a terminal illness.
However, exceptions do apply when the physician deems the situation to be dangerous for a
vulnerable third party. If there is any form of threat or prevalent danger that could bring harm to
third party such as tuberculosis, then the physician may refuse treatment. In such a scenario, the
patient has to be quarantined and treated until they pose no more risk.

intends to write a truer ideal city and with a more pessimistic view of the human nature. Written
1800 years apart there are differences to be found in respective descriptions of the ideal society,
however the similarities say a lot about what philosophers believed to be formative influences of
both the good individual and society.
Platos Republic Kallipolis is Plato s attempt to describe his version of the perfect political society.

Both Plato and More were visionaries of their times and presented ideas of equality and
feminism that would later go on to be the bases of political structures of the future. Today we can
view their attitude regarding the individual over the whole as communistic but to them they
simply saw the need for people to be value based on their abilities rather than birth and for
everyone in a city to work for the greater good of the city in order to create the ideal city. More
intended to write a more realistic ideal society then the one Plato had made up and started his
book with a short poem Plato s Republic now I claim, To match, or beat at its own game (Utopia 8).
Perhaps his work in many ways can be read as a build on to Utopia where More have kept the
ides he agreed with and changed or developed points he didn t care for as much. However this
also means that Plato s work should be treated as the complex original that laid ground for new
political theories. Some greater differences in their visions of Kallipolis and Utopia are in the
perspectives of human relationships, agriculture and property. Even as both hold a communist
view of distribution of produce More have an universal ban of private property while Plato limits
the ban on the ruler and warrior classes. Plato have the farmers own their own land
