To An Athlete Dying Young, by A.E. Houseman and Crossing...
To An Athlete Dying Young by A.E. Houseman and Crossing The Bar by Alfred, Lord Tennyson are
poems that very similar to each other yet so different. To An Athlete Dying Young is about an athlete
who dies young and Houseman congratulates him because people will remember him forever.
Crossing the Bar is about Tennyson realizing that he is about to die and he accepts his fate. Both
poems have a similar theme of death. Both authors make clever uses of symbols such as, in To An
Athlete Dying Young, Tennyson uses a laurel plant, and a rose plant to symbolize the athlete s
accomplishments. In Crossing the Bar , Tennyson uses the sandbar to symbolize the crossing over.
However, the rhyme scheme of these poems is different. Houseman ... Show more content on

He knows that his time is coming soon but Tennyson does not want anyone to be sad because he is
going to see his pilot face to face (15). Death gives him a chance to traverse through the threshold of
life and into the afterlife. Tennyson does not think that death is the end, but a beginning because his
spirit will live on with god. He wants death to free him from his hollow shell of a body. He sees death
as a way to reach god and conveys the message that people should not fear death. Tennyson s view of
death is similar to that of Houseman s because they both feel that death is not something to mourn
over. Houseman believes that since the athlete dies very young, he will forever be remembered by
people for what he accomplished. Tennyson believes in death in which he tells people to be glad that
death has given him a chance to see god. Furthermore, both of these poems make clever uses of
symbols. In To An Athlete Dying Young, Houseman uses plants such as the laurel and the rose to
describe an athlete s accomplishments. In line 11 12 he says and early through the laurel grows/it
withers quicker than the rose. Houseman s use of the laurel describes the athlete s courage. In Greek
mythology, the strongest warriors were given a wreath made of the laurel plant which is a symbol of
victory and courage. Houseman uses the laurel to signify the young

Simulation Report
SIMULATION REPORT The objective of the project was to trade on a Market Simulation STOCK
TRACK , from 2/13 to 4/20. We were supposed to try to trade different types of instruments in order
to gain more knowledge about they are trade in the real world; and how a strategy which seems good
can be overturned by the market circumstances.
During this period as a conservative, I tried to trade less risky instruments. The qualities that I used to
select my instruments are the following: * Recommendation from Yahoo, TD Ameritrade and other
websites. * Price pattern * High or moderate P/E ratio * Seasons (spring, summer, fall and winter) for
the commodities * Class ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
my choice was only guided by their high P/E ratio. In order to protect my portfolio against the changes
in prices, I took a couple options. At first, I try to use some put option on Apple and Google to protect
my portfolio against their change in prices. But as I was new in the use of options, it had a worst effect
on my portfolio. Thus, I sold them and I decided to use a call and put parity on Google, Apple and
IBM. And it helps reduce the negative return I had after the stock slump to 1.49%. During the
simulation, I also bought a bond but I sold it when the interest rate fell. I also bought some futures on
gold because the price of gold is increasing actually. Using all these pseudo strategies help me to
maintain my portfolio value higher than $982,678 with a slight to increase until the stock slump in
April. In fact, the fall of the stock had a great impact on my portfolio and in order to protect myself
against this impact I tried to use different option strategies and sold some of my stocks in order to go
above $982,678 at least. This reaction of my portfolio shows how the systematic risk can affect a
portfolio rudely and how it is difficult to protect a portfolio against these types of risks. In summary,
this simulation allowed me to know about the importance of portfolio allocation. It also helped me to
understand the use of the P/E ratio in market selection. And it showed me when and how to use option
and future in a portfolio.

Dissonance Example Research Paper
Dissonance Example #1: The Charming Math Teacher.
You absolutely love your math teacher She is vibrant, engaging, and approachable. You want to turn in
a good performance on your first exam and you study hard. Unfortunately, your grade is barely
passing. You are not only disappointed, but you worry about the negative impression your barely
performance has cast.
Which is more likely? Will you change your attitude (for example. modify favorable feelings about
the teacher and stop worrying about her opinion) or will you strengthen your study habits in the hopes
of a strong impression recovery?
I will more likely strengthen my study habits in the hopes of giving a strong impression recovery.

The teachers are talented, the college administrators seem to care, and the setting is awe inspiring.
However, you learn that the college president has just proposed a 10 percent increase in tuition and a
hefty increase in student fees to increase funding of the football team. Although you love the
education, you are decidedly unhappy with the addition this will mean to your student debt loud on
graduation.
Which is more likely ? Would you change your attitude (maybe the place isn t as great as you
thought), or would you change your behavior (show less motivation to succeed or talk less favorably
about your program?
I will definitely change my attitude. Why? Because by changing my attitude I think I will have a
positive impact in others who think the same way, I do. If I change my behavior and start having a
poor performance and have less motivation toward my program, I will be the one affected.
Dissonance Example #3: Lonelyhearts

One time there was a city named Pompeii and one disastrous day something big happened! Pompeii

SECTION ONE: Indigenous Mesoamerica
b. To what extent has the history of Mesoamerica been taught from a Eurocentric perspective? What
theories, ideas, and/or terminology are problematic when trying to assert an Indigenous perspective?
(For example: Bering Strait, Malintzin, Cuauhtemoc, Human Sacrifice...there are many more
examples!)
In the United States the history of Mesoamerica has always been included in textbooks and lectures
around the nation. The parts of the history that are included, however, are what is often put into
question. While writing any piece or publishing any book there will always be a set bias. There is only

As David Carrasco includes in his text in Religions of Mesoamerica , All the days of my life I have
seen nothing that rejoiced my heart so much as these things, for I saw amongst them wonderful works
of art, and I marveled at the subtle genius of men in foreign lands. Indeed I cannot express all that I
thought there (Carrasco 75). While this is just one documented account there are countless others
expressing the same views. While the popular narrative does mention the wonders of indigenous
architecture they fail to focus on the other parts of the statements in these accounts. The Spanish did
not only marvel at the artwork and architecture, but also the culture, the lifestyle, just the subtleties of
the way they carried on in everyday life. Whether it was the Calpulli system or just the organized
manner they went about their day. This fact is often conveniently dismissed by Colón apologists trying
to justify the Spanish conquest by claiming the indigenous people were uncivilized. As mentioned,
those quick to defend the Eurocentric narrative as well as Columbus often attempt to validate
Columbus thinking. As stated by Acuña, apologists of Columbus assert that he did not invent slavery,
and that Spain held heated deliberations on whether or not it was moral to enslave these Indians. Spain
finally settled on passing the Law of Burgos in 1512. On paper the law was supposed to protect the
indigenous people from unbearable labor conditions while

Leadership Primer Lessons
I believe that the philosophies described in General Powell s Leadership Primer is generally applicable
to law enforcement as well as the military. Being in a leadership role in a police department you are
forced to take on different roles and adjust your style given different situations. Therefore, not all
principles or Lesson which are described in the primer can be held true during all situations. These
lessons should be looked at as a guide toward leadership and not be held as gospel or hard fast rules.
The reason I believe these lessons apply to law enforcement is that basic leadership qualities are
needed for any organization. The former top down coercive leadership styles of the military is an
antiquated practice. The lessons in this primer show a more fluid and ... Show more content on

I spent years struggling and fighting to get to the position where I sit now on the organizational chart
at my department. However, the thing which I have learned during that time is that respect of others is
eared and cannot be bestowed on you by another (Daly, 2016). Being a leader does not always mean
that you are the owner of a fancy title, know the most information or have the ability to recite policies
and procedures. The true essence of the leader is showing courage, tenacity and patience when others
lose their cool, having faith in others while taking responsibility for your own actions and having the
ability to listen while being a successful communicator. As an effective leader, you must lead from the
front of the pack and set an example for those that choose to follow you. Being able to repeatedly
demonstrate ones expertise, job knowledge or interpersonal skills while completing a task or mission
in front of your employees is key. The supervisor who sits behind a desk and rarely gets out with the

Opening to a Horror Story
They told him the house was haunted. They told him the house was strange. Five families had moved
in, and never made it out. Alive anyway. He had already survived two days with his family. His
second night in his new home, what could possibly happen?
A whispered name.
The boy stirs in his sleep. A pale, vaporous moon lights the room. Shadows are deep. He twists his
head, turning towards the window so that his face becomes a soft mask, unblemished, colourless. But
the boy s dream is troubled; beneath his lids, his eyes dart to and fro.

He stands at the door, as if fearing to touch. But he is puzzled. More he is curious. He twists the
handle, the metal s coldness leaping along his arm like iced energy released from a source. The shock
is mild against the damp chill of his own body. He pulls the door open and the darkness beyond is
more dense; it seems to swell into the bedroom, a waxing shadow. He shrinks away, reluctant to allow
contact with this fresh darkness.
His vision adjusts, and the inkiness scatters as if weakened by its own sudden growth. He advances
again, passing through the doorway to stand shivering on the landing overlooking the staircase. To
descend this would be like sinking into the blackest of all pits, for darkness down there appears final.
Still the hushed whisper urges:
...Daniel...
He listens for a moment more, perhaps wishing that the minor voice would also rouse his sleeping
parents. There is no sound from their room; grief has exhausted their bodies as well as their spirit. He
stares into the centre of the darkness below, terribly compelled to descend.
The fingers of one hand slide against the wall, as he does so, their tips rippling over the textured wall

Purposes of Subscription Library
Following the years of revolution, the eighteenth century was relatively stable and peaceful age.
General improvement of life and urbanisation led to increase in the amount of spare time and money.
The commercialisation of the leisure also made recreational activity more affordable, especially for
the new middle class constituted by professionals. Their new vulnerable status in the society led them
to seek their own culture, such as participation to society activities and enrolment to the subscription
library. Subscription Library was first established in Liverpool in 1758, and it spread across Britain,
growing the number of subscribers along the way. It was essentially a private library, requiring a
payment of a guinea for entry and another ten shillings or so for the annual subscription fee. In turn,
the members were allowed access to the permanent collection of the books. In this essay, I would like
to discuss the possible purposes of the subscription library in the eighteenth century, by studying the
library catalogues and regulations. Firstly the library s role in the associationalism and the polite
culture would be considered. Then I would like to discuss how the library served as a place of forming
a uniformed society, offering useful knowledge and promoting equality. Lastly, its exclusiveness
would be studied. The purpose of the subscription library could be best explained as a part of the
associationalism culture and the desire for the polite society.

Advantages Of Top Up Budgeting
QUESTION 1 In developing an annual budget accompanies may choose to adopt either top down
budgeting approach or bottom up budgeting approach. In the finance ministry bottom down budgeting
was a traditional way used in budget formulation. Top down budgeting came in the 1990s as a
motivation to curb the fiscal deficits in which it lead to fiscal crisis in other countries. Top down
budgeting was found that it helps and manages well the fiscal deficit efficiently unlike bottom up
budgeting approach. Countries like Denmark, Korea Sweden, Australia, Netherlands, and Chile etc
actively use top down budgeting because it helps in getting information for the evaluation of new
initiatives and also in reviewing of programs for monitoring purposes. Sweden adopted top down
budgeting approach because of the series of huge fiscal deficits it used to incur and it came to be that
top down budgeting saved them. Top down budgeting is advantageous since it is done multiyear
unlike bottom down budgeting which is annually. Top down Budgeting saves on time since it has
delegated authority to take care of the budgeting process unlike Bottom down approach which is time
consuming. Bottom up approach ignores economic forecast since it involves ministry by ministry
analysis unlike top down approach which focuses on economic forecast as it is bases more in fiscal
analysis. In top down budgeting there is ownership of proposal whereby the ownership is joint unlike
bottom up approach where the ownership proposal is specific. We are able to see that top down
budgeting is more advantageous to use in budgeting approach. Countries like Netherlands, Chile and
Canada have independent bodies for economic forecast. Since Top down budgeting successes is seen

Abstract
E mail: shilisun@hotmail.com
As one of the key stable factors , culture within an organization is playing a critical role in the
organization s everyday operations. Although the culture literature has at times focused on the culture
of an organization as shared basic assumptions (Schein, 1985), or as metaphors within organizations
(Morgan, 1986, 1997), it is not sufficient to attempt to understand and measure them. This paper

Whereas Hofstede (1984) wrote of the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the
members of one human group from another as the meaning of the term organizational culture, which
seems an interesting way of understanding the notion, and despite he discovered four areas of work
related value differences at that time (power distance; uncertainty avoidance;
individualism/collectivism; masculinity/femininity), however, in 1992, Hofstede used the term
practices to refer to social and cultural phenomena, and in Hofstede s perspective, it is quite important
to locate the deeply held values of organization members at the very center of the organization s
culture. In reality, for some organization members, these values will be so deeply held that they will
not be possible to change at all. However, how we choose to define culture has considerable
implications for how we attempt to examine and study it, different authorities in the literature has
introduced different interpretations. In practice, no matter what size or nature it is, an organization
might have its own culture

Vitamin D plays an integral role in multiple systems in the human body, from its function in Calcium
and Phosphorus metabolism, to modulation of the immune and reducing the risk of cardiovascular
diseases (Grober et al. 2013). Unfortunately, factors such as diet, geographic position, and skin
pigmentation are contributing to an increase of prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency around the world,
consequently leading to a higher rate of associated illnesses. Namely, Cardiovascular Diseases such as
Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Hypertensive Vascular Disease, and Myocardial Infarction have been

2013).Calcitriol inhibits the production of the Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) a hormone which plays a
role in stimulating Calcitriol synthesis in the kidneys (Zittermann 2006). Calcidiol and Calcitriol are
both catabolised to inactive metabolites to also regulate the amount of 1,2(OH)2D (Reid Bolland
2012).
During Vitamin D deficiency, PTH still attempts to maintain a relatively similar concentration of
Calcitriol compared to original levels, which would require an increase in PTH (Grober et al. 2013).
Hence, the better indicator of Vitamin D status and deficiency is Calcidiol (Zittermann 2006).

Ovid s Metamorphoses Analysis
In order to understand Ovid s Metamorphoses, it is necessary to know something of Ovid the person.
Ovid was born Publius Ovidius Naso, March 20, 43 BC AD 17/18, and he was a Roman poet who
lived during the reign of Augustus. With a contemporary style relative to that of Virgil and Horace
with whom he is often compared and rank with as the trio being the three most recognized poets of
Latin literature. Quintilian the imperial scholar considered Ovid one of the last Latin love elegists. He
enjoyed enormous popularity, but, in one of the mysteries of literary history, Augustus sent him into
exile in a remote province on the Black Sea, where he remained until his death. Ovid himself

As Ovid would guide us into this story there are several occurrences of death or reincarnation
represented in his thoughts. He often cross references man and beast body parts being morphed into
that of each other. It would appear that the people surrounding Orpheus s time were barbaric,
cannibals, and people with un natural affections. Orpheus often retreated to places where he could be
alone and create poetry or make melody with his lyre. He wrote poems that drew much unwanted
attention from some of Bacchantes, crazed female followers of the god Bacchus were all enraged that
Orpheus wouldn t sleep with them. Therefore, they killed him in brutally. His head and lyre fell into
the River Hebrus as they floated down the waters.
The lyre a Greek string instrument kept playing notes and his tongue kept singing as if to prolong his
last moments. The birds, lamenting, cried for Orpheus, the multitude of wild creatures; the trees that
often gathered to his song shedder their leaves, in mourning. The rivers stream with their own tears.

Rita Charon Listening Theory
In narrative medicine, Dr. Rita Charon asserts that, physical medicine such as, antibiotics, pills, and
other medicine individuals can physical take, can cause the patient to self diagnose their selves.
Although, these medicine are supposed to heal, Dr. Charon reveals the genuine way to heal a patient.
Most of the time when a patient goes to see their doctor, they are slightly afraid. Many doctors just
state to the patients what s wrong with their body, rather the patient telling the doctor what s wrong
with their own body. With the doctors doing that, this allows a disconnected feeling from the patient
towards the doctor. Dr. Charon wants doctors to realize the art of listening and gaining a strong
connection with the patient and not just brushing them off, which leads to more sickness and pain.
Actually listening to the patient can be medicine for them. Additionally, in one American Greetings

did not want to have his hands on a case like this. Dr. Charon believes that your identity can be shown

patient, it creates major conflict between the two. All the patient wanted was peace, calmness, and
someone to talk to. With House finally coming down to his patient s level and connecting with her as a
person and not just a patient, it allows not only the patient to feel comfort but also House to have that

Defining Characteristics Of The New Zealand Constitution
Public Law: Defining Characteristics of the New Zealand Constitution
ID: 62952639
A constitution revolves around public power. It is the body of law that creates and regulates the
application of the powers . The nature and application of these powers are the one of the most
fundamental components of an evolved society. NZ has a number of unique and defining
characteristics to its constitution, the origins of these powers and their application have far reaching
consequences for the people of New Zealand. Perhaps the most principled featured of our legal system

society. Despite the checks and balances on parliamentary power that the unwritten constitution itself

unwritten constitution have led to some questioning as to the extension of these parliamentary powers,
Cooke s judgement in Taylor v NZ Poultry Board being a prime indicator of this. The unwritten nature
of New Zealand s constitution is a unique and defining characteristic of our constitution, its
fundamental principles are weaved throughout parliaments application of its power.
Another constitutional feature with heavy influence on parliamentary sovereignty is the concept of
legally entrenched provisions. The concept of entrenched provisions hold value for its democratic
stability, fundamental rights protection and its

Pros And Cons Of College Tuition
College tuition should not be free in any means necessary. Students would not take college seriously if
there was no price. College students would totally take advantage of the opportunity to go to college
for free and completely blow it , it would even the playing field for everyone to be equal because
college tuition is what keeps everyone else out. College would then be accessible to anyone who
wanted to go. Tuition is put in place for a reason. It shouldn t be lifted because if it is the government
will end up having to come out of more money to fund the things that more of the college students
need as such as books, computer labs etc. By the government needing more funding that would mean
the taxpayers taxes would have to increase without their say so it wouldn t even be an option.
According to dissent magazine, Bruenig (2015 ) states The main problem with free college is that
most students come from disproportionately well off backgrounds and already enjoy
disproportionately well off futures, which makes them relatively uncompelling targets for public
transfers with that being stated . I feel like no one should get a free handout especially those who are
of the well off status. Why should they get everything so easy? Make them work for it. By making
tuition free you would just basically be handing them a degree without having to work hard for it.
when there is money at hand, (tuition) college is taken seriously. Can you imagine how would society
be impacted if tuition be free. The world be equal because the playing field would be neutral territory.
Everyone would be granted the same opportunity to earn money at a higher pay rate and looked upon
with great gratitude just for receiving a degree. Colleges would be extremely too crowded, resources
would be extremely scarce as far as paper, textbooks, etc. referring to Bruenig (2015) Given these
class based differences in attendance levels, institutional selection, and current student benefit levels,
making college free for everyone would almost certainly mean giving far more money to students
from richer families than from poorer ones . This statement is totally correct. Why would we put more
money in the pockets of those who are well off?. In

A Darker Side of Our Soul Exposed in Hamlet Essay
A Darker Side of Our Soul Exposed in Hamlet
We live in a curious age of, tabloids, talk shows, and TV sound bites that purvey a shocking type of
tawdry news. These sources of scandal make a lucrative business out of outrageous headlines. But this
is nothing new. Mankind has always had burning desire for uncovering secret truths even in the time
of Shakespeare. For as Polonius said, If circumstances lead me, I will find/Where truth is hid, though
it were hid indeed/Within the center (2.2.158 60). The implication is that we are somehow better off in
knowing the furtive facts.
But are we better off in knowing such things? Since the time of Shakespeare, human nature has
remained fairly constant. With this in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nevertheless, it is clear that Hamlet s woes intensified from that moment. Was it not enough that he
lost his father? Or worse still that his mother so quickly remarried his uncle? Was this ghostly
disclosure even necessary? Eventually, would he not have suspected foul play of his own insightful
intellect?
Yes, and clearly he does! Do we not see inquisitive distrust in his statement, I am too much in the sun
(1.2.67). That is to say, Hamlet was not so much in the dark as the king supposed. This was a pointed
retort sallied directly at the king, which declared that Hamlet was not so easily fooled. Nevertheless,
there is a huge difference between suspicion and knowledge.
The murdered King reveals to Hamlet that a virulent poison was put into his ear, and that it was
Hamlet s murderous uncle who was responsible for this. Yet, in revealing this to his son, the fallen
king infects Hamlet s ear with a virulent poison as well. This secreted knowledge acts like a
contagious virus that rapidly multiplies into a profusion of a self destructive cognitive dissonance.
This analogy is significant, for this infected thinking is the beginning of the end of Prince Hamlet.
This one piece of divination could not satisfy him. As often is the case, one infectious piece of evil
elicits an intense addiction for more. This hellish truth taints Hamlet s troubled mind and provokes

Common themes touched on by many managers that were interviewed who had implemented
organizational rules centered on order in the firm and the stability that organizational rules provide for
worker manager relations. The strengths of the program made the global aspect of the company be
more adjacent to the understanding what they really needed to work on to make the company be more
efficient and successful. McDonald s LAMP program is a great start for the company to have the right
people in place to understand the positions that were expected of them to keep the organization on the
move. The LAMP program had 5 key components which included executive assessment and program

Labor Relations Essay
From the beginning, the American Federation of Labor (AFL) set out to be a different. Rather than
focusing on remolding American life and the institutions in control of American life, the AFL sought
to better workers lives by securing higher wages, a shorter work day, and more favorable working
conditions (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009). The AFL also divided membership up by trade,
recognizing that different skilled trades had individualized needs (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009).
The Haymarket Riot, Homestead Incident, and the Pullman Strike all played a role in the rise and
decline of the AFL. The first event, the Haymarket Riot, was a delightful success for the newly created
AFL under Samuel Gompers (Holley, Jennings, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By all appearances this was an atrocious blow to the union movement as a whole. Union memberships
after this episode plunged dramatically from 24,000 to 8,000 two years later in 1894 (Holley,
Jennings, Wolters, 2009). Also the union s demands were not granted. But, the media was sympathetic
to the union in this case; they claimed that Carnegie was responsible for initiating the Incident (Holley,
Jennings, Wolters, 2009). For union members, they gained a sense of inspiration in standing up for
their rights as well as a solid indication of Gompers support for their demands (Holley, Jennings,
Wolters, 2009). The Pullman Strike was noteworthy because it was the first time that a federal
injunction was utilized to break up a strike (Brendel, 1994). George Pullman provided residences for
his railroad employees; the rent was deducted directly from employee paychecks (PBS, 2001). A
depression hit the economy at the time, many workers were laid off; those who kept their jobs
experienced wage cuts, but their rents remained the same (PBS, 2001). Staff, under the direction of
Eugene Deb s, the American Railway Union (ARU) leader, began to strike, demanding higher wages
and lower rent (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009). When tensions rose strikers became violent and
destructive. This prompted negative media against unions and once again the federal government
stepped in (PBS, 2001). The ARU was

The Definition of an Educated Person
Our team likes this definition of an educated person. We understand that if you go to school, you will
learn a subject well. But we also understand that many of us will see career paths that are not
traditional, or linear in nature. We will work in fields that are not what we studied. If all we learned
was basic skills and knowledge, we would cease to be educated the minute we stepped away from our
chosen field of study. What the Michigan State University is trying to say is that education is more
than just learning a few things to get a degree. Education being an educated person really does mean
being able to continuously learn. To have knowledge and to know how to use it are both components
of being educated.
We feel, therefore, that the definition of an educated person put forth by Michigan State University is
very accurate. The statement is succinct, so that we might not want to add anything to the definition. It
implies that the process of becoming an educated person is something that will deliver a lifetime of
value, rather than simply a skill that can be used to get a job. This lifetime value is one of the reasons
why an education usually pays for itself manifold down the road, as students who become educated
people are more adaptable, more successful and better able to succeed when placed in difficult
situations. Adversity is not discussed in the definition, but is definitely something that could be
mentioned in a discussion of what it means to be an educated

summary India is the seventh largest nation with an area of 3.287 million km2. Moreover, it is a
relatively rich and rapidly developing country; for this reason demand for electricity is growing on
significantly average at around 5% annually. In addition, one of the most fascinating aspects of solar
cells is their ability to convert the most abundant and free forms of energy into electricity without
moving parts or components. Also, they do not produce any adverse forms of pollution that affect the
ecosystem. India s rooftop solar capacity addition grew 66 percent from last year to reach 525 mega
watts. The state power grid system has supplied electricity to approximately 80% of the population
living in the state capitals and industrial centres. Based on recent studies, PV technology and
application is economically viable to be adopted in tropical countries like India where it receives more
than 7 hours of direct sunlight each day throughout the year. Hence, India now tends to move on the
new trend of solar energy. To measure the data continuously was not an easy task for earlier
technology because of lack in advancement of software technology. So, we have used LabVIEW

Bipolar Disorder And Mental Health
Bipolar Disorder is otherwise known as manic depressive illness. It is a brain disorder that causes
shifts in moods, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out daily tasks. (Cite) These changes in
behavior are outside of the norm as most people have ups and downs throughout their daily routines.
But those with Bipolar Disorder experience shifts in mood that can be damaging to relationships, as
well as their overall school and work performances. (Cite) I chose this disorder as the topic for my
paper because a few years back my mother was diagnosed with the disorder. I have always been
curious whether or not I would end up like her, later on in life, with the same manic depressive illness.
And if I did end up with this disorder I wonder if I would pass it onto my children. According to the
National Institute of Mental Health there are four individual types of bipolar disorder: Bipolar
Disorder I, Bipolar Disorder II, Cyclothymic Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder Not Otherwise Specified
. My mother has Rapid Cycling Bipolar Disorder and she has been hospitalized quite a few times for
psych evaluations. Those who experience rapid cycling can go between depression and mania as often
as a few times a week (some even cycle within the same day). (An Introduction to Bipolar Disorder).

Contrastingly, the three dramatic mass media presidential campaigns differed in the following ways.
Starting with the 1960 campaign, it was the first of its kind and so all that was broadcasted was not
advanced as compared to the debates that succeeded. The 1960 Kennedy/Nixon debate was
broadcasted live from a television studio unlike other debates that followed (Webley, 2010). Else too;

We retired early that evening, and slept well. With the pressure we had been under now somewhat
abated, we awoke the next morning rested and refreshed, ready for whatever the day might bring.
Stapleya and Wisceya were eager to see the wonders of Las Vegas. Estelle and Jill had told them
enough to pique their curiosity, although the fur girls insisted it was impossible and we must be
kidding them. Compared to their home world, I am sure our entire planet seemed like an impossibility,
so why they would balk at one more impossible thing, I could not say. We pulled out of the motel
parking lot before dawn and drove straight down Interstate 15 without stopping except to buy fuel or
to answer nature s call. Although we had eschewed Interstate highways in prior day s travels, we really
had no choice now. Besides, we had no reason to suspect Alex would be looking for us here. Passing
through the St. George area, Estelle remarked on the nuclear contamination in the area from the
atomic bomb testing, and the many diverse cases of cancer in the people living here then. Our
extraterrestrial visitors became curious as to those events which led us into a long discussion of
warfare on Earth and the horrors it had brought, and the worries and politics of Nuclear power. This
occupied our conversation for many miles as we lamented the missed potential, the waste and the
suffering brought forth by the Nuclear genie. We reached the Las Vegas metropolitan area without

Top Executives
The top executive position falls under the Business, Management Administration Career Cluster. Top
executives plan, control and coordinate the activities of business to ensure that its goals are being met.
The responsibilities of top executives largely depend on the size of the company. A top executive in a
smaller company would have more general range of responsibilities within the organization. A top
executive in a larger company would have a more specific title with more specific responsibilities. For
instance, a top executive who oversees a company s financial activities would be considered a
financial executive, while a top executive who manages general activities related to production would
be considered an operational executive.
Like finance managers, top executives often have 40 60 hour work weeks and 10 12 hour work days.
Due to the management aspect of the position, many top executives are required to late into the
evenings and on the weekends. This will depend on the specialization of the position and its
responsibilities. The median pay for top executives in 2012 was $101,650 per year. However, this pay
is relatively variable because the title of top executive encompasses a wide range of positions from
general manager to chief executive officer. Companies often give their top executives the greatest

An Hour Tone
The short story The Story of an Hour is written by Kate Chopin. This story is about a married woman
named, Louise Mallard, who learns about her husband s death, and through the poem she discovers the
positives of this incident. She gradually learns the restrictions that have been lifted and the new
opportunities that arise due to her husband s death, however, the story ends by her getting a heart
attack when she sees her husband still alive, the story throughout is written in third person point of
view. Furthermore, Chopin believes that marriage can be very restrictive on woman because of the
dominant role the male plays in the relationship and this is shown through the tone and literary
features of the poem.
First, the tone of the poem ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The metaphor in the quote storm of grief , presents a sorrowful tone because it displays the tragedy
and misery she experiences due to her husbands passing, however this tone lasts only for a small part
in the beginning in the story and soon changes into a tone of elation. Furthermore, the symbolism in
the line blue sky showing here and there through the clouds [...] shows the hopeful tone as it conveys
how the blue sky begins to emerge from the darkness of the clouds. The clouds are used to symbolise
the husband s death and how the grieve she experiences due to this incident begins to vanish as the sky
clears up. This symbolises the hope that Mallard begins to attain, and this device is used to hint at the
increased opportunities and benefits she will gain by being alone and gaining independence.
Moreover, the realistic tone is later presented at the end of the story. The dramatic irony in the line of
the joy that kills is a powerful indicator that shows restrictions that are placed on woman. This line is
ironic because the readers know that she did not die because of the joy when she saw her husband but
in fact the shock and disappointment

Scene Analysis of The Green Mile Essay
The film The Green Mile was originally written by Stephen King and later directed by Frank

It was November 11, 1918, school was canceled everywhere and the streets were crowded with people

when we had to leave or country life behind and move to the big city. New York was where we were
headed and I was pretty bummed about leaving all my friends behind. A change of scenery brought
much excitement to me, though. Talk about drive to new york here. Wow, I said as i saw all the
different people passing. Buildings of all shapes and sizes were around us. I saw a particularly strange
building which was almost completely flat. We arrived at the apartment we were going to stay in. I
didn t say it out loud, but I think all of us were thinking of how small the room was. One day passed in
the new home. There were a lot of things i liked there, but it was loud and crowded. The next day, I

Characteristics Of River Otter
The habitat of a river otter can vary they can be found in places such as: streams, rivers, lakes and
marshes. These areas tend to have more vegetation and prey. For this animal quality water and year
round access to water is very high on the hierarchy of needs. The river otter is a carnivore and have
adapted to life in the water. Appearance, the river otter has a tan fur with a white underbelly; the shape
is similarly to that of a torpedo. As with most animals the males tend to be larger than the females. The
weight of an otter has a very wide range from about eight pounds to upwards of thirty five pounds.
Much like me the otters have short legs, but differing from me due to them having webbed feet.
Tactile and auditory sense in the river otter are acute, the otters use their whiskers to locate prey and to
forge in the dark. The River otter is also known as northern river otter or common otter. Most female
otter reproduce annually and in order to breed successfully they need certain things such as: habitat,

Human Interference Of The Atmosphere
Greenhouse effect is the process where heat is trapped by greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere
to keep the Earth warm. The planet s atmosphere contains these radiatively active gases, that radiate
energy in all direction. Greenhouse gases are already present in the atmosphere; without them the
Earth would be significantly cold enough to freeze the oceans. To understand how important and
harmful the greenhouse gases can be for the planet, we need to answer these questions. Do extra
greenhouse gases upset the Earth s natural balance and make it even warmer? Is there any extra
insertion of the gases in the atmosphere by humans? If so, how significant are the effects? This essay
will discuss in detail, the mechanism that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
How is radiative equilibrium achieved? The global surface temperature averaged over daily and
seasonal series, remains constant. Earth surface receives 340 watts/m2 of radiant energy, if the global
surface temperature averaged daily remains constant, therefore Earth s surface must be radiating out
energy precisely 340 watts/m2 into space to keep the surface cool.
There are many greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, the two most abundant are water vapour and
carbon dioxide. Visible light (short wave radiation) passes through the green house gases to reach the
Earth s surface, The Earth surface absorbs short wave radiation, the radiation is then released by the
surface in the form of infrared radiation. Only 10% of the infrared radiation released passes through
the gases and the atmosphere and escapes. The rest of the infrared radiation is trapped by the
greenhouse gases and clouds.
What really causes the greenhouse effect? The remaining infrared radiation is trapped by the green
house gases. The greenhouse gases in turn reradiates the infrared radiation in all direction. Some of the
radiation go into the outer space and some go back to the Earth surface. The continuous cycle of
exchange of infrared radiation between the Earth s surface and the greenhouse gases is called the
greenhouse effect.
The presence of an atmosphere containing greenhouse gases keeps the Earth surface warm, without an
atmosphere like

L. Frank Baum s The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz
Lyman Frank Baum, better known as L. Frank Baum, was an incredible American author. Many
people are quite familiar with the book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and it is a favorite to many.
However, the last few generations are not familiar with its author, Baum. What most people fail to see
is that his life was full of many twists and turns, ups and downs, and more failures than successes.
Unlike most writers, Baum did not go into great detail with setting or character. His unique style used
simple vocabulary, made up words, and fantasy. Shockingly, he did not intend for there to be morals in
his stories. Baum created his stories simply to entertain children in a way that did not frighten them,
unlike fairytales of the past had been. L. Frank ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During those years the Great Dakota Boom occurred. There were several factors for that event. One
reason being the changes to the government s land laws. The Pre emption Act allowed a person of 21
years and who was a citizen, to purchase 160 acres of land for $1.25 per acre. However, many farmers
did not have enough cash all at once to buy 160 acres. So, in 1862 Congress passed the Homestead
Act, which provided a free 160 acres to anyone of at least 21 years and who was a citizen. The settler
had to move onto the land, build some kind of residence (usually small clapboard or sod structures),
break at least ten acres of sod, and plant a crop. After five, but no more than seven years, the
homesteader received title to the land with the payment of small fees (Tweton, D. Jerome, Dr.). The
Timber Culture Act of 1873 was passed by Congress to provide an additional free 160 acres if the
farmer planted ten acres of trees. If the trees continued to live for eight years, they would be granted a
title. Free land was a powerful incentive to come to North Dakota (Tweton, D. Jerome, Dr.). There
were many other factors including new transportation systems and the search for more prosperous
land. In 1888, L. Frank Baum and his family moved to Aberdeen, South Dakota believing they would
prosper from the Great Dakota Boom. He then founded Baum s Bazaar, not knowing that it was the
end of the boom.

The Easy Way To Sucess
Hey, so about that tour you were giving me... are you going to continue? I said as I jogged over to Jai,
who was standing with some other circus entertainers which surprisingly looked the same age as him
compared to the ones I lived with. The girls I lived with where much older, the youngest looked
around fifteen or sixteen years old minimum. But somehow Jai wasn t so happy to see me as for a
couple of moments ago; as soon as I finished my sentence he rushes towards me and cover my mouth
but stops cause he realize it is too late, his friends started laughing at him while pointing their fingers
at us when we are only a couple of feet away. Now I remember; I am the weird, stubborn little girl
who is only trying to chase her dream. They are idiots. If only they all would see potential I actually
have. I know I can do it, we all have very even chances of making it, and so why not do the best of the
time and not fight about it? Before my own thoughts dragged me into my imaginary world Jai
complained; Ugh, did you really have to do that? He said without making eye contact and just started
walked away with big steps, making it hard for me to hold up with him. Do what? Burst your ego,
maybe? I say teasingly as I look at his profile angle while my feet try to stride in the same rhythm like
his. He actually looks less like a jerk from that way. Good point. My inner voice talks and I nod my
head to the side as I was agreeing to it. You must really want to be eaten by the lions,

Slum Problem In Slums
In India, the capital city of Delhi has a long history and has been an important political centre of India
as well as several empires. (Wikipedia, 2017, May) Delhi has a population of around 18 million and it
is one of the biggest metropolises city in the world, but Delhi faces a major crisis in the sector of
health care as nearly half of its people live in slums and unauthorised colonies without any proper
disposing of their waste. (Dhananjay, 2012, Oct 4] The purpose of this report is to find out why the
slum issues remain even after many years.
Slums in Delhi has been around since the late 70s and it has since continued to grow in the number of
the population living in slums. Slums comprise a social cluster that engenders a distinct set of health
problems. With estimated half of its population living in such communities, this neglected population
has a wide spectrum of health conditions. (Lee W Riley, Albert L Ko, Alon Unger and Mitermayer G
Reis,2007, Mar 7) Water and sanitation in slums are the major cause of the high death rates as diseases
spread around and they do not have good access to healthcare. The water that they fetch is not the
water we drink instead it is not clean and purified for drinking, it is contaminated with diseases that
are the major cause for huge death rates, especially in children.
The issue still exists and does not persist is because mainly of the huge corruption in India`s
government. Corruption in India can be traced back to the country`s

Salmonella a Food Borne Illness Essay
The food borne illness I have chosen is salmonella.
Question 1: What is the infectious agent (pathogen) that causes this infectious disease? The infectious
agent (pathogen) that causes salmonella is called salmonella enteriditis. The bacteria is larger than a
virus; but, is visible to the eye with the microscope. It is rod shaped, gram negative, non motile
bacteria that does not form spores. Interestingly enough it communicates to its fellow bacteria via
AHL. It infects the cell, multiplies within it; then, bursts the cell. Special effector protein factors are
required for salmonella intestinal invasion and the induction of fluid secretion and for inflammatory
responses. There are about six names species names of it, salmonella ... Show more content on

Question 3: What is an example of a real life outbreak of this food borne illness in the United States?
Tainted turkey is the likely source of the latest salmonella outbreak. An antibiotic resistant strain of
salmonella has made its way into at least 26 states, killing one person and sickening 77. On
Wednesday, the U.S. health officials were investigating the source of the outbreak, which they believe
is tied to tainted ground turkey. The probe so far points to a single facility. The location of which is
being withheld? That has produced three of four salmonella infected ground turkey samples taken
from four stores. The salmonella strain involved worries officials because it is resistant to common
antibiotics, raising the risk of hospitalization and treatment failure, the CDC says. It is estimated that 1
of 6 Americans or 48 million people (roughly) get sick from food borne illnesses, 128,000 are
hospitalized, and 3,000 die from food borne illnesses. When they find out that someone has come in
contact with a food borne illness they try to alert the rest of the U.S and remove that food from the
selves, so that no one else comes in contact with the infectious disease.

Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di’s Mausoleum
Qin Shi Haung Di was the first emperor of the Qin Empire in China during the 3rd century BCE. Born
in 261 BCE, Haung inherited the throne from his father at the early age of 13 and showcased his
ambitious spirit by unifying China and creating his empire (Swart 1984). While he is known mostly
for building the Great Wall of China, he also left quite a legacy when it comes to his elaborate burial
grounds. In 246 BCE, thirty six years before his death in 210 BCE, Emperor Qin started planning the
construction of his extravagant final resting place (Swart 1984). The Emperor s mausoleum was
essentially a small, underground city showcasing Qin s power and influence using different artistic
mediums. The site of Emperor Haung s tomb is located in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This shows us that the belief in the magical and unknown, like death, was of some importance to the
Emperor. Artistically, Emperor Qin final resting place is a goldmine of information. Not only were the
sculptures ornate and somewhat realistic especially for the time period they were created in most of
them were actually painted so they would be more colorful (Patel 2007). Every terracotta warrior was
painted after they were sculpted. What is most amazing about the painting of the warriors was the fact
that their color selection included purple. While there were red and blue pigments that could be mixed,
the ancient world never mastered a true purple color, except for a brief time in China during the Qin
and Han dynasties (Patel 2007). The color itself was discovered in 1992 and is a purple barium copper
silicate inorganic pigment that was manmade in the early 3rd century BCE. Other than being painted
onto terracotta warriors, this unique color was also found on decorative pieces and pottery in Qin s
tomb (Fitzhugh 1992). The pigment created was described as a technological wonder, a complex
synthetic compound made before the invention of paper or any codified understanding of elemental
chemistry (Patel 2007 p. 25). The creation and usage of Chinese purple on elements in Qin s tomb
provided knowledge to us that was previously unknown about artistry in

To An Athlete Dying Young is about an athlete who dies young and Houseman congratulates him because people will remember him forever. Crossing the Bar is about Tennyson realizing that he is about to die and he accepts his fate. Both poems have a similar theme of death. He knows that his time is coming soon but Tennyson does not want anyone to be sad because he is going to see his pilot face to face (15). Death gives him a chance to traverse through the threshold of life and into the afterlife. Tennyson does not think that death is the end, but a beginning because his spirit will live on with god. He wants death to free him from his hollow shell of a body. He sees death as a way to reach god and conveys the message that people should not fear death. Tennyson s view of death is similar to that of Houseman s because they both feel that death is not something to mourn over. Houseman believes that since the athlete dies very young, he will forever be remembered by people for what he accomplished. Tennyson believes in death in which he tells people to be glad that death has given him a chance to see god. Furthermore, both of these poems make clever uses of symbols. Thus, I sold them and I decided to use a call and put parity on Google, Apple and IBM. And it helps reduce the negative return I had after the stock slump to 1.49%. During the simulation, I also bought a bond but I sold it when the interest rate fell. I also bought some futures on gold because the price of gold is increasing actually. Using all these pseudo strategies help me to maintain my portfolio value higher than $982,678 with a slight to increase until the stock slump in April. In fact, the fall of the stock had a great impact on my portfolio and in order to protect myself against this impact I tried to use different option strategies and sold some of my stocks in order to go above $982,678 at least. This reaction of my portfolio shows how the systematic risk can affect a portfolio rudely and how it is difficult to protect a portfolio against these types of risks. Indeed I cannot express all that I thought there (Carrasco 75). While this is just one documented account there are countless others expressing the same views. While the popular narrative does mention the wonders of indigenous architecture they fail to focus on the other parts of the statements in these accounts. The Spanish did not only marvel at the artwork and architecture, but also the culture, the lifestyle, just the subtleties of the way they carried on in everyday life. Whether it was the Calpulli system or just the organized manner they went about their day. This fact is often conveniently dismissed by Colón apologists trying to justify the Spanish conquest by claiming the indigenous people were uncivilized. As mentioned, those quick to defend the Eurocentric narrative as well as Columbus often attempt to validate Columbus thinking. General improvement of life and urbanisation led to increase in the amount of spare time and money. The commercialisation of the leisure also made recreational activity more affordable, especially for the new middle class constituted by professionals. Their new vulnerable status in the society led them to seek their own culture, such as participation to society activities and enrolment to the subscription library. Subscription Library was first established in Liverpool in 1758, and it spread across Britain, growing the number of subscribers along the way. It was essentially a private library, requiring a payment of a guinea for entry and another ten shillings or so for the annual subscription fee. In turn, the members were allowed access to the permanent collection of the books. In this essay, I would like to discuss the possible purposes of the subscription library in the eighteenth century, by studying the library catalogues and regulations. Firstly the library s role in the associationalism and the polite culture would be considered. Then I would like to discuss how the library served as a place of forming a uniformed society, offering useful knowledge and promoting equality. Lastly, its exclusiveness would be studied. The purpose of the subscription library could be best explained as a part of the associationalism culture and the desire for the polite society. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the finance ministry bottom down budgeting was a traditional way used in budget formulation. Top down budgeting came in the 1990s as a motivation to curb the fiscal deficits in which it lead to fiscal crisis in other countries. Top down budgeting was found that it helps and manages well the fiscal deficit efficiently unlike bottom up budgeting approach. Countries like Denmark, Korea Sweden, Australia, Netherlands, and Chile etc actively use top down budgeting because it helps in getting information for the evaluation of new initiatives and also in reviewing of programs for monitoring purposes. Sweden adopted top down budgeting approach because of the series of huge fiscal deficits it used to incur and it came to be that top down budgeting saved them. Top down budgeting is advantageous since it is done multiyear unlike bottom down budgeting which is annually. Top down Budgeting saves on time since it has delegated authority to take care of the budgeting process unlike Bottom down approach which is time consuming. Bottom up approach ignores economic forecast since it involves ministry by ministry analysis unlike top down approach which focuses on economic forecast as it is bases more in fiscal analysis. In top down budgeting there is ownership of proposal whereby the ownership is joint unlike bottom up approach where the ownership proposal is specific. College students would totally take advantage of the opportunity to go to college for free and completely blow it , it would even the playing field for everyone to be equal because college tuition is what keeps everyone else out. College would then be accessible to anyone who wanted to go. Tuition is put in place for a reason. It shouldn t be lifted because if it is the government will end up having to come out of more money to fund the things that more of the college students need as such as books, computer labs etc. By the government needing more funding that would mean the taxpayers taxes would have to increase without their say so it wouldn t even be an option. According to dissent magazine, Bruenig (2015 ) states The main problem with free college is that most students come from disproportionately well off backgrounds and already enjoy disproportionately well off futures, which makes them relatively uncompelling targets for public transfers with that being stated . I feel like no one should get a free handout especially those who are of the well off status. Why should they get everything so easy? Make them work for it. By making tuition free you would just basically be handing them a degree without having to work hard for it. when there is money at hand, (tuition) college is taken seriously. Can you imagine how would society be impacted if tuition be free. The world be equal because the playing field would be neutral territory. Everyone would be granted the same opportunity to earn money at a higher pay rate and looked upon with great gratitude just for receiving a degree. Colleges would be extremely too crowded, resources would be extremely scarce as far as paper, textbooks, etc. referring to Bruenig (2015) Given these class based differences in attendance levels, institutional selection, and current student benefit levels, making college free for everyone would almost certainly mean giving far more money to students from richer families than from poorer ones . • 27. Labor Relations Essay From the beginning, the American Federation of Labor (AFL) set out to be a different. Rather than focusing on remolding American life and the institutions in control of American life, the AFL sought to better workers lives by securing higher wages, a shorter work day, and more favorable working conditions (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009). The AFL also divided membership up by trade, recognizing that different skilled trades had individualized needs (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009). The Haymarket Riot, Homestead Incident, and the Pullman Strike all played a role in the rise and decline of the AFL. By all appearances this was an atrocious blow to the union movement as a whole. Union memberships after this episode plunged dramatically from 24,000 to 8,000 two years later in 1894 (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009). Also the union s demands were not granted. But, the media was sympathetic to the union in this case; they claimed that Carnegie was responsible for initiating the Incident (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009). For union members, they gained a sense of inspiration in standing up for their rights as well as a solid indication of Gompers support for their demands (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009). The Pullman Strike was noteworthy because it was the first time that a federal injunction was utilized to break up a strike (Brendel, 1994). George Pullman provided residences for his railroad employees; the rent was deducted directly from employee paychecks (PBS, 2001). A depression hit the economy at the time, many workers were laid off; those who kept their jobs experienced wage cuts, but their rents remained the same (PBS, 2001). Staff, under the direction of Eugene Deb s, the American Railway Union (ARU) leader, began to strike, demanding higher wages and lower rent (Holley, Jennings, Wolters, 2009). When tensions rose strikers became violent and destructive. This prompted negative media against unions and once again the federal government stepped in (PBS, 2001). The ARU was ... • 28. The Definition of an Educated Person Our team likes this definition of an educated person. We understand that if you go to school, you will learn a subject well. But we also understand that many of us will see career paths that are not traditional, or linear in nature. We will work in fields that are not what we studied. If all we learned was basic skills and knowledge, we would cease to be educated the minute we stepped away from our chosen field of study. What the Michigan State University is trying to say is that education is more than just learning a few things to get a degree. Education being an educated person really does mean being able to continuously learn. To have knowledge and to know how to use it are both components of being educated. We feel, therefore, that the definition of an educated person put forth by Michigan State University is very accurate. The statement is succinct, so that we might not want to add anything to the definition. It implies that the process of becoming an educated person is something that will deliver a lifetime of value, rather than simply a skill that can be used to get a job. This lifetime value is one of the reasons why an education usually pays for itself manifold down the road, as students who become educated people are more adaptable, more successful and better able to succeed when placed in difficult situations. Adversity is not discussed in the definition, but is definitely something that could be mentioned in a discussion of what it means to be an educated ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 PROBLEM SUMMARY AND INTRODCTION 1.1.1 Problem summary India is the seventh largest nation with an area of 3.287 million km2. Moreover, it is a relatively rich and rapidly developing country; for this reason demand for electricity is growing on significantly average at around 5% annually. In addition, one of the most fascinating aspects of solar cells is their ability to convert the most abundant and free forms of energy into electricity without moving parts or components. Also, they do not produce any adverse forms of pollution that affect the ecosystem. India s rooftop solar capacity addition grew 66 percent from last year to reach 525 mega watts. The state power grid system has supplied electricity to approximately 80% of the population living in the state capitals and industrial centres. Based on recent studies, PV technology and application is economically viable to be adopted in tropical countries like India where it receives more than 7 hours of direct sunlight each day throughout the year. Hence, India now tends to move on the new trend of solar energy. To measure the data continuously was not an easy task for earlier technology because of lack in advancement of software technology. But those with Bipolar Disorder experience shifts in mood that can be damaging to relationships, as well as their overall school and work performances. There are many greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, the two most abundant are water vapour and carbon dioxide. Visible light (short wave radiation) passes through the green house gases to reach the Earth s surface, The Earth surface absorbs short wave radiation, the radiation is then released by the surface in the form of infrared radiation. One reason being the changes to the government s land laws. The Pre emption Act allowed a person of 21 years and who was a citizen, to purchase 160 acres of land for $1.25 per acre. However, many farmers did not have enough cash all at once to buy 160 acres. So, in 1862 Congress passed the Homestead Act, which provided a free 160 acres to anyone of at least 21 years and who was a citizen. The settler had to move onto the land, build some kind of residence (usually small clapboard or sod structures), break at least ten acres of sod, and plant a crop. After five, but no more than seven years, the homesteader received title to the land with the payment of small fees (Tweton, D. Jerome, Dr.). I said as I jogged over to Jai, who was standing with some other circus entertainers which surprisingly looked the same age as him compared to the ones I lived with. The girls I lived with where much older, the youngest looked around fifteen or sixteen years old minimum. But somehow Jai wasn t so happy to see me as for a couple of moments ago; as soon as I finished my sentence he rushes towards me and cover my mouth but stops cause he realize it is too late, his friends started laughing at him while pointing their fingers at us when we are only a couple of feet away. Now I remember; I am the weird, stubborn little girl who is only trying to chase her dream. They are idiots. If only they all would see potential I actually have. I know I can do it, we all have very even chances of making it, and so why not do the best of the time and not fight about it? Before my own thoughts dragged me into my imaginary world Jai complained; Ugh, did you really have to do that? He said without making eye contact and just started walked away with big steps, making it hard for me to hold up with him. Do what? Burst your ego, maybe? I say teasingly as I look at his profile angle while my feet try to stride in the same rhythm like his. He actually looks less like a jerk from that way. Good point. My inner voice talks and I nod my head to the side as I was agreeing to it. You must really want to be eaten by the lions, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Shiel Jr., MD, FACP, FACR Question 3: What is an example of a real life outbreak of this food borne illness in the United States? Tainted turkey is the likely source of the latest salmonella outbreak. An antibiotic resistant strain of salmonella has made its way into at least 26 states, killing one person and sickening 77. On Wednesday, the U.S. health officials were investigating the source of the outbreak, which they believe is tied to tainted ground turkey. The probe so far points to a single facility. The location of which is being withheld? That has produced three of four salmonella infected ground turkey samples taken from four stores. The salmonella strain involved worries officials because it is resistant to common antibiotics, raising the risk of hospitalization and treatment failure, the CDC says. It is estimated that 1 of 6 Americans or 48 million people (roughly) get sick from food borne illnesses, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die from food borne illnesses. When they find out that someone has come in contact with a food borne illness they try to alert the rest of the U.S and remove that food from the selves, so that no one else comes in contact with the infectious disease. • 50. Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di’s Mausoleum Qin Shi Haung Di was the first emperor of the Qin Empire in China during the 3rd century BCE. Born in 261 BCE, Haung inherited the throne from his father at the early age of 13 and showcased his ambitious spirit by unifying China and creating his empire (Swart 1984). While he is known mostly for building the Great Wall of China, he also left quite a legacy when it comes to his elaborate burial grounds. Artistically, Emperor Qin final resting place is a goldmine of information. Not only were the sculptures ornate and somewhat realistic especially for the time period they were created in most of them were actually painted so they would be more colorful (Patel 2007). Every terracotta warrior was painted after they were sculpted. What is most amazing about the painting of the warriors was the fact that their color selection included purple. While there were red and blue pigments that could be mixed, the ancient world never mastered a true purple color, except for a brief time in China during the Qin and Han dynasties (Patel 2007). The color itself was discovered in 1992 and is a purple barium copper silicate inorganic pigment that was manmade in the early 3rd century BCE. Other than being painted onto terracotta warriors, this unique color was also found on decorative pieces and pottery in Qin s tomb (Fitzhugh 1992). The pigment created was described as a technological wonder, a complex synthetic compound made before the invention of paper or any codified understanding of elemental chemistry (Patel 2007 p. 25). The creation and usage of Chinese purple on elements in Qin s tomb provided knowledge to us that was previously unknown about artistry in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
