Big Bang Vs Nebular Hypothesis
Space, how was it formed, how old is it, how big is it and what does it contain? Those are a couple of
questions people think of themselves and their answers may vary. The Big Bang and Nebular
Hypothesis is a way that people would look at it, and others would think God created it in seven days.
The Big Bang created The Universe and the Nebular Hypothesis, created The Solar System. Even
though The Big Bang and The Nebular Hypothesis, created different things there are some things that
are similar. The Big Bang is an explanation of how The Universe was formed and the effort to explain
what happened during and after that moment. The first piece of evidence is the Redshift of the
Galaxies. A redshift is waved get longer and more spread apart. ... Show more content on

First, they both started a long time ago and it took a long time to get to where we are today. We know
this because it takes billions of years to create or form a universe and a Solar System. Another
similarity is that they both had a lot happening at the beginning, but it calmed down after a while. We
know this because they both had at least a 150 million year gap after sculpting the Solar System or the
Universe.
Even though there are some similarities to The Big Bang Theory and Nebular Hypothesis. There also
are a couple of differences that The Big Bang Theory and Nebular Hypothesis have. First The Nebular
Hypothesis, created our Solar System. As for The Big Bang Theory that created the Universe.
Secondly, The Big Bang occurred around 13.7 billion years ago and the Nebular Hypothesis happened
around 4.6 billion years ago. Which shows us that The Big Bang Theory is 9.1 billion years older than
the Nebular

Advantages Of Niosome
ABSTRACT
The cosmetic industry is steadily probing for discovery of new formulations with effective delivery
system having biological activity. Nanoscience is one of the widely used technologies and finds its
applications in the cosmetic industry. Nanotechnology thus is a transformative and new technical
revolution and is being used for alteration of physical properties of an enormous range of products
from moisturisers, sun blocks, anti ageing lotions to liquid make up, hair styling and colouring agents,
soothing creams etc. However the use of various techniques such as the liposome, niosome,

Initially developed and patented by L OrƩal in mid past 1970 s (10). Niosome entered the market of
the cosmetics offering various advantages. Niosome introduced in 1987 (11) by LancƓme. Van Hal et
al. reported that niosome encapsulated estradiol can be delivered through the stratum corneum, which
is known to be a highly impermeable protective barrier (12, 18). Due to the high chemical stability of
the surfactant as compared to the phospholipid and no requirement of special preparation and storage
conditions is an advantage over the liposomes , which results in low manufacturing costs and reduced
purity problems(13). Use of novel surfactant (bola surfactant) for making niosomes has been found
effective for percutaneous drug delivery application as well as non toxic (14). Upon the application of
heat or agitation niosomes attain a closed bilayer structure (14). The inner aqueous core of the
niosome could be used for delivery of the various hydrophobic and hydrophilic drugs such as
NSAIDS, anti inflammatory, anti infective agents and other classes of drug which offers the biggest
advantage of enhancing the transdermal drug delivery (15, 16, and

Hot Topic Research Paper
Picture it a middle kids trying to find who they are. Going shopping for the start of the school year had
always come with some anxiety. How do I want to portray myself to my other classmates? This
middle schooler is more of the nerdy type of kid. He couldn t find any clothes that showed who he is
and what he liked. Then one day as he was perusing the mall with his mom. He found this small dark
store with this alluring music pouring out of its wooden double doors. It beckoned him into its dark
embrace as the music calmed his frantic mind. The kid was enveloped by the wall of character t shirts
from PokƩmon to South Park. His nerdy heart soared when he came across the plethora of pop culture
references and funny merchandise. I can honestly say that Hot Topic helped this middle schooler on
his journey to finding himself. Although to the average person on the outside the store seems dark and

being created pretty much every year. These range from Disney movies, cartoons, new celebrities, and
up incoming bands. In 2001, Hot Topic started Torrid, a store that focused on clothing for plus size
women. In the process of broadening their horizon Torrid became one of best plus size women s
apparel stores around. Hot topic may seem a bit pricey at times, but you must put into consideration
what it takes to get those unique clothes. Unlike most large retail stores Hot Topic buys from smaller
companies and entrepreneurs. So with that being said the products Hot Topic buys from them is not
mass produced and some items are hard to find.

Relationship Between Fertility Rates and Education...
Introduction
It has come to our attention that in developed countries the birth rate has been decreasing with the
years. This trend is however not limited to developed countries but is also present in emerging
countries, like Mexico. One of the main reasons for this decline is said to be the postponement of
marriage among young people. Obtaining a higher education could lead young women to remain
unmarried in their twenties. Increasing possibilities to achieve a higher education and therefore
working in an appealing job has become increasingly attractive to young women. This change in
values also contributed to the increase in unmarried singles in their twenties. However, it is also
possible that the influence of one s family ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rates above two children indicate populations are growing in size and the median age is declining.
Higher rates may also indicate difficulties for families, in some situations, to feed and educate their
children and for women to enter the labor force. Rates below two children indicate populations are
decreasing in size and growing older. Global fertility rates are in general declining and this trend is
mostly predominant in industrialized countries, especially Western Europe, where populations are
projected to decline dramatically over the next 50 years.
Description of the Procedures Used
The purpose of this section is to describe the course of action of the study and to specify the steps
taken.
In order to answer the research question in an appropriate way, it was first needed to do intensive
research in the internet in order to obtain relevant data. The pages consulted were INEGI and Index
Mundi. On these pages it was possible to collect data regarding the birth rate, the fertility rate and the
level of education. The next step was to convert the data into tables and graphs, describe them and to
provide some background information in order to make the data clearer. Furthermore, one can already
see at first sight how the fertility rate and level of education are developing at first sight.
In order to tackle the question (Whether there is a relation between the increase in the level of
education and the decline in the

The Pedestrian by Ray Bradbury Essay
The short story The Pedestrian is an intriguing story that takes place in the future. This story suggests
that if the world continues the progress that it is now then we will become no more than humans who
are doing nothing with our lives. It shows how people would seclude themselves from others and
begin to stop caring for others. Is this actually a possibility in the future? In this short story there is a
man by the name of Mr. Mead who doesn t necessarily do the same as everyone else. In this future
based story, there is a curfew for everyone at which they should begin to watch TV. Mr. Mead does not
like this so every night he goes out and walks around the town looking into houses. One night a police
car sees him and stops him. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the end of the story we pass Mr. Mead s house and see his house is the only one that has its lights
on. The police car tells Mr. Mead that he will be taken to the Psychiatric Center for Research on
Regressive Tendencies. The only true character in this story is Mr. Mead. He is a man who decides he
does not have to follow everyone else. He makes his own decisions and does not stay inside and
become entranced by his TV. Instead he decides that he wants to go outside and get some fresh air so
he is not stuck in his house. Though he is eventually arrested he takes a stand for what he believes in.
Imagery is one of the best used literary devices in this short story. Imagery means The use of vivid or
figurative language to represent objects, actions, or ideas.
(http://dictionary.reference.com/define/imagery) In The Pedestrian Bradbury tells us that Mr. Mead s
house had all of its electric lights brightly lit, every window s loud yellow illumination, square and
warm in the cool darkness. (51) This story also uses imagery when it talks about the police car and
says, ...peered into the back seat, which was a little cell, a little black jail with bars. It smelled of
riveted steel. It smelled of harsh antiseptic; it smelled too clean and hard and metallic. There was
nothing soft there. Another very well used literary device in this story is personification.
Personification is when an inanimate object is given human attributes. In the specific instance

Discourse Markers
The Use of Discourse Markers
So um, I mean yeah I was wondering if like, you had any job openings for this summer? This was the
way a potential employee approached my dad, asking if he had a position for them to work this
summer. Filler words such as um and like are used very commonly throughout conversations between
individuals in this day and age, many individuals not even realizing they are using them. But why do
we use discourse markers? And do they make people seem unprofessional or uneducated to potential
employers? One view of the use of discourse markers comes from Jean E. Fox Tree, a cognitive
psychologist who works at The University of California Santa Cruz. Her works specialize in the use of
discourse markers and enquoting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The women also typically thought they used less filler words than the men. This was surprising, as it
was not expected that there would be a difference in how many filler words they thought they used.
While this data may not be representative for men and women of all ages, it does give a good idea of
how college students differ using discourse markers.
In the second part of my experiment, the participants were told the experiment was actually about the
use of filler words, and then they were asked to answer the question Can you describe the moment you
said goodbye to your parents before they left you at college? . When the participants concentrated on
not using discourse makers, the number of times they used them went down drastically. Two out of the
three women and all three men told the whole story without using a single filler word or discourse
marker. But while they were not using these words, there were awkward silences in which the
participant would think about what to say next. This was very interesting, as it may explain another
reason why we use discourse markers and filler words. We want to avoid these awkward silences in
which neither person is saying anything, so we use these words and phrases to cease the

Carl Joyner Spoke To Analysis
Last Friday we had the pleasure of being spoke to by Carl Joyner who is the CEO, Founder and

The Mass Of Broadcast Journalism
Many aspiring Mass Communications majors find themselves intrigued and hopeful by the medium of
Broadcast Journalism. Young students imagine themselves on television speaking to the public about
the everyday happenings around the community. However, as other growing mediums emerge,
Broadcast Journalism is a dwindling in viewership, especially with the younger generation. For my
field research, I had the pleasure of interviewing Christian Schaffer. The newest co anchor of Good
Morning Maryland on ABC 2 News in Baltimore. Broadcast news is a medium that is thrilling,
exciting, and fast paced. Schaffer took time out of his action filled day to allow me to interview him

Broadcast Journalism at Boston University. Schaffer s first on camera reporting job occurred in
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at WHP TV CBS which set the basis for what he enjoys doing the most in
journalism. Ten years ago, Schaffer landed a job reporting in Baltimore at ABC 2 News and then six
months ago took over as the co anchor of the morning news this year. When the internal job posting
opened, Schaffer used his time with the company and sought after the co anchor position. He went
through a series of try outs for a few months before being offered a three year contract as the Good

found a new passion for on air broadcast. After initially being nervous about being on the spot as a

goes to battle one last time to fight a horrible dragon whom is frightening all of his people. Beowulf is
old and tired but he fights the dragon in order to protect his people. Even in death he wished to secure
safety for the Geats so a tall lighthouse is built in order to help the people find there way back from

The most heroic of traits within Beowulf is that he is not afraid to die. He always explains his death

Gap s strategy is to close all stores that are underperforming in order to cut costs. They will also spend
more money on advertising and marketing to a younger market and to minorities such as Hispanics,
Asians, and African Americans. By doing so, they hope to acquire greater market share. They will also
use new technology that will locate products online and in stores.
In my opinion, I think that Gap s image has definitely started to decline. Today, most customers are

Americans views of the pharmaceutical industry slipped back into negative numbers in 2015. Gallup s
annual measure of 25 major U.S. business sectors revealed that the percentage of Americans with a

a negative net positive rating of 8 in 2015 (Norman). This negative opinion of the pharmaceutical

Sexualization Of Women In Video Games
Does the sexualization of women in video games affect women s self esteem and perpetuate female
stereotypes?
Annika Lindburg
Linfield College
Introduction
It is difficult to find a video game that does not depict females as a damsel in distress or a sex object.
The target audience for video games has been males, and video game companies are marketing to
males with stereotypes of females in video games. A surprising finding is that around 150 million
Americans, or almost half of women play video games (Kelleher, 2015). Yet video games continue to
depict females as old fashioned stereotypes that leave a lasting affect on a female s health.
How are women in video games treated?
Donkey Kong was released in 1981 and was one of the earliest arcade video games that portrayed
females as a damsel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Video games are created from a male perspective that is exaggerating female s sexual or feminine
traits (Near, 2013). Part of the problem is the lack of diversity in the gaming industry. Most game
developers are men, which result in less sexism on purpose, and more of a diversity problem among
video game creators (Ferguson, 2015). If there were more females in the video game industry, there
would be more realistic female avatars in video games. Royse et al. (2007) argued that the gaming
industry has begun to make games for females like Dance Dance Revolution and Eyetoy but that
females are still wrongly thought of as having one perspective or experience. Since the majority of
video game writers are males, they create video games that interest them and their target audience.
Near (2013) found that predominantly male audiences identify better with a male avatar than a female
one. Thus males write a stereotypical script in which a woman is scantily clad and needs to be saved
which brings them revenue and further undermines a women s self

Sparkling wine normally stands out because of its fizzy appearance as well as the effervescence wine
taste, due to the significant amount of carbon dioxide. Sparkling wine is produced through four main
methods: Method Traditionnelle/ Champenoise, MĀthode Ancestrale, Method Charmat and the
Injection method. All of these methods utilize two fermentation processes, as opposed to just one as in
the still wines. The sweetness of the sparkling wine is determined by the amount of sugar added after

depth look of how the war was perceived through each character which helped emphasize their
thoughts from an emotional standpoint of being young men out at war.
Imagination hindered the platoon which clouded their judgment and decision making. Instead of
remaining focused their wandering mind lacked what was necessary, assessing the task at hand. In
some respects, though not many, the waiting was worse than the tunnel itself. Imagination was a killer.
(O Brien 619) In relation to the quote imagination was a killer , this metaphor represents how the
soldiers made situations like being in the tunnel mentally challenging for them. Paranoia quickly
consumed their thoughts and emotions before partaking in the actual mission. The men

Response To Peter Singer
At any given moment, there are people around the world suffering and dying due to severe poverty.
According to Peter Singer, there is much more that we can do to help create a better life for these
people. He makes the obvious statement, in which most people agree with, that suffering and death
due to poverty are very bad. His second idea is that if we are able to prevent that from happening
without sacrificing too much for ourselves, we should. Essentially, we should prevent a bad thing from
happening if it is in our power to do so without causing harm to ourselves in any way. An example of
this that Singer points out is, if I am walking past a shallow pond and see a child drowning in it, I
ought to wade in and pull the child out. This will mean getting my clothes muddy, but this is
insignificant, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Two of the objections are the blind and kidney examples. If a doctor were to come up to a perfectly
healthy person and tell them that he or she needs to give one eye to a blind person so they can see,
most often, they would immediately say no. The giver would be left with only one eye to see, while
the receiver would be gifted with one eye to see. It seems to be a negative outcome for the person
giving the eye and a positive outcome for the one receiving it. The same goes for the kidney, if
someone is asked to donate a kidney to a complete stranger, they would say no in this situation as
well. They do not believe they should be expected to give a kidney to a random stranger because it
only leaves them with one healthy kidney for themselves, but it also saves the receiver from possible
death. In both situations, it seems as though they are sacrificing too much of his or her self, which
goes against Singer s second premise of preventing something bad from happening without sacrificing
too much. Depending how we look at it, though, we are not necessarily sacrificing too much in those

The Disadvantages Of Small Farming In The United States
Food that are high in sugar and fat are, in many ways addictive Nadine Burke. Framers depend on the
outcome of the products because that s what helps them provide for their families. There are many
disadvantage of the small farms decreasing in the United States in our modern time.
Small farms has difficulty selling their products to bigger food companies. For example, supermarket
chain like Whole Foods or Walmart are not set up to do business with dozen of small family owned
farms (41). In other words, small farms are loosing money because their product are not getting sold.
Unlike larger farms they get contracted because it doesn t cost as much than a small family owned

For example, Bigger tractors and machines, chemical weed killers, and artificial fertilizer made it
easier for one farmer to handle (39). This makes it easier for farmers to work with less people and
have less expenses to make money. Another example is, It only takes a few weeks of work over a year
to raise five hundred acres of industrial corn. So the farms have gotten bigger, but fewer people live in
them (39). In other words, this helps farmers produce their product faster and with the help of fewer
people, which means farmers don t have to worry about feeding more people. Although, this might

Bertha Of The Great Gatsby
Once upon a time, in a certain kingdom, in a certain land, in a little village, there was a young woman
named Bertha. Bertha did not have much, little money, little food, and no real memory of her family,
the one thing she did have, was her small yellow stone that hung on her neck, this was the one thing
she had to remember her family. She lived in a small hut, which is where she independently cared and
supported herself because there was no one else in her life. At night she would have small dreams of
her family remembering small bits of her childhood when her family was still with her, invoking them

The True Meaning Of The Gospel Of God
Around the world and throughout all the different versions of Christianity, there are so many things
that people call the gospel . Some say it is the only way to get to Heaven, or that it is a doctrine of
damnation that God sent us to right our wrongs. Ravi Zacharias stated in a video sermon what he
thinks that the gospel has become when he says, It became I think cheapened and somehow diluted if
not polluted and so an average person who view what is the gospel they say it is the same old thing,
you re a sinner and you re heading to hell... (Zacharias). Most individuals in today s time do not know
what God s true love is or what the real meaning of the gospel is truly because of the situations they
have been in during their lives and what society has made it out to be. According to Webster s
Dictionary the definition of the word gospel is, The message concerning Christ, the kingdom of God,
and salvation, (Webstersdictionary.com). Though this is a technical definition, the Gospel of God is so
much more than just teachings. The Gospel can help those who have never met God, since it is the
good news that should be preached to everyone, it is how believers go and make more disciples
throughout the world, and through it is a way for everyone to connect with God on a personal and
spiritual level.
The Gospel is the Good News

Son have been in conquering death. Jesus was sent down

The Rationale Behind Nursing Interventions
Introduction:
Mrs. Pink, aged 75 was admitted to the orthopaedic ward after suffering a fall at home, resulting in an
intracapsular fracture of the hip at the femoral neck. Mrs. Pink has a history of cancer and cardiac
diseases and has severe rheumatoid arthritis. Due to ageing patients putting a great deal of strain on
the health care system, the incidences of hip fractures in the elderly are a major concern and requires
careful consideration regarding treatment. Known as a major cause of disability in the elderly, hip
fractures and their subsequent need for surgery result in chronic pain and an altered quality of life
(Strike, Sieber, Gottschalk Mears, 2013). Although important to improve a patient s quality of life and
physical independence, pain related to a total hip replacement (THR), also known as hip arthroplasty
(HA) can lead to delays in ambulation, longer hospital stays, poor functional outcomes and quality of
life. The purpose of this essay is to identify the rationale behind nursing interventions provided to post
operative THR patients as well as the pathology of a femoral neck hip fracture and their procedure for
assessment and diagnosis.
Pathology:
The pathology of a hip fracture relates to the science, or aetiology of the femoral neck fracture in
question and risk factors specific to hip fractures in the elderly are related to ageing. The most
common cause of a hip fracture is physical trauma or impact, such as when stress or pressure placed

Analysis Of A Small Place By Jamaica Kincaid
Antigua is a small island that was discovered in 1493, by Christopher Columbus. The natives that
lived there were made slaves by the British and the economy thrived on producing sugar. In 1834 the
British abolished slavery giving Antigua its independence. The sugar industry was failing so the
economy relied on tourism. A Small Place by Jamaica Kincaid is about Antigua. Kincaid narrates her
novel in second person, blaming the tourists for ruining the culture of Antigua. Kincaid explains that
the British were cruel to the Antiguan people but she forgives them for it. Kincaid also talked about
how the Government is currently corrupt and how beautiful Antigua s land is. Kincaids novel is
broken up into four parts that address all of these issues in Antigua. The way A Small Place by Jamaica
Kincaid was written is effective in the way that it tries to persuade and inform the readers.
In part one of A Small Place, Kincaid tries to persuade the readers, she does this by talking directly to
them. Kincaid says that the tourists ruin the culture and that they are not justified in coming to Antigua
for a vacation. Kincaid thinks that tourism is ugly, an ugly thing, that is what you are when you
become a tourist (Kincaid 17). Kincaid is trying to persuade the reader instead of informing them with
a fact or observation. This direct use of second person is successful to persuade the reader. It is
successful because the reader might feel guilty for traveling and might change his or her perspective
on traveling.
In part four of A Small Place, Kincaid tries to persuade the reader. Kincaid tries to make the reader
think that Antiguas beauty is unreal. Kincaid also instead of informing you with facts or observations
talks about how the British should be punished for enslaving Antiguans and says in her opinion why
they did it. Kincaid wants the reader to feel that Europeans are truly unhappy, to satisfy their desire for
wealth and power, to feel better about their own miserable existence, so that they could be less lonely
and empty a European disease (Kincaid 80). This use of persuasion successfully makes you think
about human nature. It makes the reader think of why people would enslave others for money and
power.

What The Confucian Ideas And Practices Are Essay
In this essay, to make it easier to understand when I begin to address the main problem presented by
the question I will first give a brief outline of what the Confucian ideas and practices are. I will then
do as the question asks and evaluate the critique, I will do this by going on to decide how valid I
believe the critique to be and proposing some responses to it to see how the critique really holds up,
before going on to discuss some alternative critiques and whether I see them to be more valid. So to
begin some context, Confucius was born in 551 B.C.E. as far as the books say, to a class of society
that despite being noble had fell upon hard times. (Yu lan, 1952, P.43) All thinkers during this time the
warring states were looking back to an imagined golden age, when China was a unified empire, the
people were at peace, and people knew and followed the Way or Dao. Most thinkers of this time
looked to achieve this once again. (Yu lan, 1952, p.43) Confucius s main ideas and practices then. To
Confucius the Dao or way, is considered to be nothing more or less than the way a person choices to
live their life. (Cua, Ames, 2003, p.61) The root of Confucius ideas is the idea that there is no
individual or self but that one is one s roles and relationships. For Confucius then the goal of life to
achieve happiness for oneself and the people we believe to make up ourselves via roles and
relationships. (Cua, Ames, 2003, p.61) That is we should focus on bringing

Circuit Of Logisim That Controls An Entry Gate
CS25410 Assignment Report
The task was to implement a circuit in logisim that controls an entry gate. The gate has 3 possible
inputs; a Ā£1 coin paid in, a Ā£2 coin paid in or the cancel button pressed. The gate must store the
amount of money paid in and has four possible behaviours for outputs. Once the gate has received Ā£4
it must open, in terms of implementation a LED must light up and stay lit until another input is
received, any extra money in the machine must count towards the next entry fee. The other behaviours
are based off when the cancel button is pressed, a LED relating to the amount of money paid into the
machine towards an entry fee e.g. a Ā£1 LED if Ā£1 is in memory etc. up to the maximum of Ā£3, In the
circuit these LED s must stay on until the next input.
The general structure of my implementation can be split up into three segments; Input, storage, and
output. In the input section there are 2 bits of memory to temporarily store the 3 different inputs, 01
representing Ā£1, 10 representing Ā£2 and 11 representing cancel pressed. This memory is cleared once it
has been clocked into the main storage of the system. The storage is implemented with 3 bits of
memory as there are 6 possible states for the memory, Ā£0 to Ā£5, the 1 and 2 bit are only affected once
an input has been clocked in however the 4 bit is only affected by the carry bit of the 2 bit memory
and is cleared as soon as an input button has been pressed as this was part of the assignment
specification.

St. Thomas Aquinas Argument On God
St. Thomas Aquinas is a famous philosopher from the medieval period who believed there was a god.
One of Aquinas significant works in philosophy was his argument that God exists. In Aquinas
argument, or also known as Summa Theologica, he uses five arguments to support the claim that God
exist and four of them are cosmological argument. Cosmological arguments are arguments that try to
reason that god exists because of the universe or cosmos leads to the conclusion that god exists. His
first argument is the Argument From Motion. In the argument of motion Aquinas observed that we live
in a world and universe that things are continuously moving, and he also noticed that to make
something move something has to move or start it moving. To Aquinas this means that everything that
is moving must have been moved by something or someone and there had to be a time when the thing
wasn t moving. The mover for the beginning of everything in Aquinas argument is God. The second
argument is the Argument From Causation which is very similar to the Argument From Motion.
Aquinas thoughts were that everything that is caused had to be caused by something else. Nothing can
cause it s self so there must be an thing that is uncaused and to Aquinas that thing is God because it
can t go back forever. The Third argument is The Argument From Contingency. Contingency is a
future or thing that could have not existed and Aquinas believe that the world can t always be
contingent because then it could have

Disadvantages And Disadvantages Of Diversity In The United...
Not everyone in the United States have the same opportunities as others. This causes there to be
separate groups and organizations who have different advantages than the other groups. The
disadvantages that these other groups have can affects their lives drastically. Some of these advantages
and disadvantage are caused by privilege Privilege is the benefits you get from belonging to a certain
group. Being privileged could result in many advantages in life. Essentially if you were born a male
you have a better advantage than a woman would. Men has the luxury to get payed more than women
do and they don t have to worry about being raped by just walking down the street. Another advantage
of being privileged in being born white. Being born caucasian or African American isn t something
that you can control, however the opportunities they get sometimes are based upon the color of their
skin. In the past years, there has been an ongoing trend that haven t been changed. Caucasians have
been getting better jobs and better opportunities than people of color. There are certain jobs out there
today that mainly hire white males; this is because they re known to be superior and dominant in the

Reflection On The Cradle Catholic
With over half of the students in Xavier University s undergraduate program identifying as Catholics,
I was not surprised that I ended up with a partner who is Catholic. However, I was surprised to hear
how into the Catholic faith my partner was and how much it has influenced him as a person. My
partner was Max Foreman, and just like myself, he has been a cradle Catholic his entire life. Cradle
Catholic is a term used to basically say that since he was born he has been Catholic because his
parents were Catholic and wanted to pass their faith down to him. As a Roman Catholic you are
expected to attend Mass every Sunday and every holy day of obligation. For just one hour a week we
go to listen to the word of God, pray to God, and receive the Eucharist, but only if you have had your
First Communion. Not only did Max attend Mass every Sunday, he was an active part of it because he
was an altar server. Basically, an altar server is the priest s first hand man while Mass is being
celebrated. When I asked Max to expand more on his experience as an altar server he told me that it
allowed him to really become closer with God and realize that the Eucharist truly is more than just a
piece of bread and wine but that it fully is the actual body and blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. Along with being an altar server at Mass, Max also participated in several different volunteer
opportunities. Some of these programs were run through the church and some were just everyday

Semantic Search Based On Web Search Essay
The upcoming section will address the some of the architectural concepts put forth by the scholars in
semantic search and the prime concern of the paper; how the semantic searching process will help in
augmenting the result of web search. Further, the paper will also put light on a proposal to build a
semantic search based on previous keyword search engine but with the added capability of Natural
Language Processing.
3. SEMANTIC SEARCH TECHNIQUES
This section describes different semantic methodologies being forwarded by the scholars. Currently,
various types of search engines are being deployed to access the information required. Each search
engine has its own features and uses different algorithms to index, rank and present web documents.
Hence the result put forth on information retrieval by the search engines are different from one
another. And there is not a definite and unique single technology or architecture that leads to a logical
and meaningful search engine. In fact there can be various ways to achieve this.
G. Madhu, Dr. A. Govardhan, and Dr. TV Rajinikanth in their survey of intelligent semantic web
search engines have addressed the two types of research problems in creating semantic search engine.
The first problem of matching a query to the concerned documents with related information in an
intelligent and meaningful way can be solved with semantic annotations to produce intelligent and

General Robert E. Lee, was brought into this world on March 26, 1874, in San Francisco, California.

The first theme, the outdoors, is best revealed in his poem The Road Not Taken. In this poem, Frost
uses a fork in a road to describe making decisions in life. Given the main idea, most likely the poem is
referring to Frost s decision to leave farming to follow poetry. Frost uses five lines of poetry in each
verse with similar length. Using the technique of inferring, analysts can conclude that the poem relates
to the theme of perfect decision making. It shows that decisions can not always be perfect. Frost uses
symbolism and imagery to display a visual representation of a decision. For example, in lines 1 2 Frost
uses the fork in the road in a forest as a reference to a decision with two choices. He evaluates each
side (trade offs in a decision) and chooses a side as in lines 4 5. Shortly after, he describes the side he
chose. He says the road was grassy and that it was not worn. This creates not only a mental image but
the realization that one side can visually appear better than the other. On line 12, he states that there
are leaves on the ground which we can picture and also believe that it is autumn. From line 16 to 20,
he repeats the first stanza. This represents the reflection of his decision. Although he repeated the first
stanza, Frost removed the word yellow, that described the woods, and also said that he chose the one
less traveled, and he did not regret it. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I / I took the one less
traveled by, / And that has made all the difference (The Road Not Taken). Frost does this to show that
decision making can be hard, but it is best to evaluate and choose the decision that is best suitable, not
what everyone else chooses. Throughout this poem, Frost tries to bring attention to
questionable/uneducated decisions in life and make the best of them through his tone and word choice.
Frost s theme of imperfection can be seen either

Hymns to the Sun and Liedenā€™s Hymns Essay
Hymns to the Sun and Lieden s Hymns
The ancient Egyptians showed respect toward their rulers, but it was the sun gods whom they revered.
Even Pharaoh Akhenaten wrote hymns of praise and glory to his Creator. All aspects of the Egyptians
lives, including work, play, love and war, were devoted to the gods. No matter how much land was
won, or how many riches were acquired, it was the deities that were valued the most.
Many peoples throughout time devote prayer and sacrifices to the ones they believe created them. The
Egyptians were no exception, praising their gods for the awesomeness and purity of the life they

It was the sun that shone down upon lovers, worshippers, scholars and warriors. Sunlight brought life
to nature: to the trees, the flowers, and the grassy fields. Without the sun, the Egyptians would not
have been able to maintain the agriculture around which their society was centered. Everything
followed the sun, for when the sun retired at the end of the day; so did the rest of the world. Therefore,
it was only appropriate to give praise to the gods of light. Without them, the Egyptian culture would
not have existed.
Similar to the Roman Catholic religion existing today, the Egyptian Hymns follow the four basic
categories of prayer: gather, praise, thanksgiving, and petition. Akhenaten s hymn was written of
course by Pharaoh Akhenaten himself, and this in turn would bring together all people under his rule.
For when the ruler makes a decree, everyone listens. The hymns were written with tremendous praise
to the Creator, standing in awe of His power and glory: You are the one God, / shining forth from your
possible incarnations / as Aten, the Living Sun, / Revealed like a king in glory, risen in light, / now

had a massive impact on the American economy. It was a time in history where America started to
evolve as a country and become more dominant. Many states and cities in the United States sustained
economic prosperity. There was also an abundance of inventions and new music that spread quickly

women gained political freedom. The Nineteenth Amendment was passed which allowed women to

the time that they had finally accomplished their goals. Many women also had white collar jobs which

What Were The Pros Of The Vikings
By the Xth century the Vikings (also called Northmen ) used to raid one European monastery after
another (Richards, 2005). The news about that spread all around Europe and caused much chaos. It
was the source of fear and panic among the European lords and Christians (Graham Campbell,
1980).The Vikings appeared from nowhere, killed people, robbed the monasteries and vanished. They
were so impetuous that were considered to be irresistible tribes. Their actions were described as
insulting, appalling and often immoral. They were called pagan marauder seamen (Graham Campbell,
1980). The early writings about the Vikings (Richards, 2005) make us aware of the fact that their raids
on Europe were mostly devastating and ruinous. Due to that, a certain stereotype of their being wild,
rude, aggressive and destructive prevails in human history. They became notorious for being merciless

Arguments Against Property Dualism
An Argument for Interactionist Dualism in Contrast to Property Dualism
This philosophy study will define the importance of interactionist substance dualism as a form of
dualism that makes the most appealing argument against property dualism. The polarization of
substance and property dualism typically defines a separation of physical and mental states. In this
context, the function of separating mental states from the physical states illustrates a complete
disconnect in the strict terms of substance dualism. In contrast to this, property dualism finds that
there are only physical states, but that there can only be non physical properties of physical
substances. In both cases, the disconnect of the mind/body relationships has been reduced to
abstracted mental states or a division between the mind and the body. Interactionism/substance
dualism seeks a more diversified understanding of the brain and the body, which provides a more
reasonable argument in favor of substance dualism. In essence, the connection between the brain/mind
and the body through Interactionism is a more logical way to ... Show more content on

Mixtape Of My Life Research Paper
Mixtape of my life Throughout one s development into a responsible adult said person may need
advice to guide them through the maze of life. It s been said that the years from 12 22 set up the

whole picture. Its understanding the you are a clay brick in a wall, and you may be feel as if you could
be a great clay pot but playing your role, especially if others for looking for you to

This trend is however not limited to developed countries but is also present in emerging countries, like Mexico. One of the main reasons for this decline is said to be the postponement of marriage among young people. Obtaining a higher education could lead young women to remain unmarried in their twenties. Increasing possibilities to achieve a higher education and therefore working in an appealing job has become increasingly attractive to young women. This change in values also contributed to the increase in unmarried singles in their twenties. However, it is also possible that the influence of one s family ... This story suggests that if the world continues the progress that it is now then we will become no more than humans who are doing nothing with our lives. In the second part of my experiment, the participants were told the experiment was actually about the use of filler words, and then they were asked to answer the question Can you describe the moment you said goodbye to your parents before they left you at college? . When the participants concentrated on not using discourse makers, the number of times they used them went down drastically. Two out of the three women and all three men told the whole story without using a single filler word or discourse marker. • 22. The True Meaning Of The Gospel Of God Around the world and throughout all the different versions of Christianity, there are so many things that people call the gospel . Some say it is the only way to get to Heaven, or that it is a doctrine of damnation that God sent us to right our wrongs. Ravi Zacharias stated in a video sermon what he thinks that the gospel has become when he says, It became I think cheapened and somehow diluted if not polluted and so an average person who view what is the gospel they say it is the same old thing, you re a sinner and you re heading to hell... (Zacharias). Most individuals in today s time do not know what God s true love is or what the real meaning of the gospel is truly because of the situations they have been in during their lives and what society has made it out to be. According to Webster s Dictionary the definition of the word gospel is, The message concerning Christ, the kingdom of God, and salvation, (Webstersdictionary.com). Though this is a technical definition, the Gospel of God is so much more than just teachings. The Gospel can help those who have never met God, since it is the good news that should be preached to everyone, it is how believers go and make more disciples throughout the world, and through it is a way for everyone to connect with God on a personal and spiritual level. The Gospel is the Good News The gospel is considered good news because it shows the truth in how triumphant our God and His Son have been in conquering death. Jesus was sent down ... • 23. The Rationale Behind Nursing Interventions Introduction: Mrs. Pink, aged 75 was admitted to the orthopaedic ward after suffering a fall at home, resulting in an intracapsular fracture of the hip at the femoral neck. Mrs. Pink has a history of cancer and cardiac diseases and has severe rheumatoid arthritis. Due to ageing patients putting a great deal of strain on the health care system, the incidences of hip fractures in the elderly are a major concern and requires careful consideration regarding treatment. Known as a major cause of disability in the elderly, hip fractures and their subsequent need for surgery result in chronic pain and an altered quality of life (Strike, Sieber, Gottschalk Mears, 2013). Although important to improve a patient s quality of life and physical independence, pain related to a total hip replacement (THR), also known as hip arthroplasty (HA) can lead to delays in ambulation, longer hospital stays, poor functional outcomes and quality of life. The purpose of this essay is to identify the rationale behind nursing interventions provided to post operative THR patients as well as the pathology of a femoral neck hip fracture and their procedure for assessment and diagnosis. Pathology: The pathology of a hip fracture relates to the science, or aetiology of the femoral neck fracture in question and risk factors specific to hip fractures in the elderly are related to ageing. The most common cause of a hip fracture is physical trauma or impact, such as when stress or pressure placed on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. Analysis Of A Small Place By Jamaica Kincaid Antigua is a small island that was discovered in 1493, by Christopher Columbus. The natives that lived there were made slaves by the British and the economy thrived on producing sugar. In 1834 the British abolished slavery giving Antigua its independence. The sugar industry was failing so the economy relied on tourism. A Small Place by Jamaica Kincaid is about Antigua. Kincaid narrates her novel in second person, blaming the tourists for ruining the culture of Antigua. Kincaid explains that the British were cruel to the Antiguan people but she forgives them for it. Kincaid also talked about how the Government is currently corrupt and how beautiful Antigua s land is. Kincaids novel is broken up into four parts that address all of these issues in Antigua. The way A Small Place by Jamaica Kincaid was written is effective in the way that it tries to persuade and inform the readers. In part one of A Small Place, Kincaid tries to persuade the readers, she does this by talking directly to them. Kincaid says that the tourists ruin the culture and that they are not justified in coming to Antigua for a vacation. Kincaid thinks that tourism is ugly, an ugly thing, that is what you are when you become a tourist (Kincaid 17). Kincaid is trying to persuade the reader instead of informing them with a fact or observation. This direct use of second person is successful to persuade the reader. It is successful because the reader might feel guilty for traveling and might change his or her perspective on traveling. In part four of A Small Place, Kincaid tries to persuade the reader. Kincaid tries to make the reader think that Antiguas beauty is unreal. Kincaid also instead of informing you with facts or observations talks about how the British should be punished for enslaving Antiguans and says in her opinion why they did it. Kincaid wants the reader to feel that Europeans are truly unhappy, to satisfy their desire for wealth and power, to feel better about their own miserable existence, so that they could be less lonely and empty a European disease (Kincaid 80). This use of persuasion successfully makes you think about human nature. It makes the reader think of why people would enslave others for money and power. In part ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. What The Confucian Ideas And Practices Are Essay In this essay, to make it easier to understand when I begin to address the main problem presented by the question I will first give a brief outline of what the Confucian ideas and practices are. I will then do as the question asks and evaluate the critique, I will do this by going on to decide how valid I believe the critique to be and proposing some responses to it to see how the critique really holds up, before going on to discuss some alternative critiques and whether I see them to be more valid. So to begin some context, Confucius was born in 551 B.C.E. as far as the books say, to a class of society that despite being noble had fell upon hard times. (Yu lan, 1952, P.43) All thinkers during this time the warring states were looking back to an imagined golden age, when China was a unified empire, the people were at peace, and people knew and followed the Way or Dao. Most thinkers of this time looked to achieve this once again. (Yu lan, 1952, p.43) Confucius s main ideas and practices then. To Confucius the Dao or way, is considered to be nothing more or less than the way a person choices to live their life. (Cua, Ames, 2003, p.61) The root of Confucius ideas is the idea that there is no individual or self but that one is one s roles and relationships. For Confucius then the goal of life to achieve happiness for oneself and the people we believe to make up ourselves via roles and relationships. The gate has 3 possible inputs; a Ā£1 coin paid in, a Ā£2 coin paid in or the cancel button pressed. The gate must store the amount of money paid in and has four possible behaviours for outputs. Once the gate has received Ā£4 it must open, in terms of implementation a LED must light up and stay lit until another input is received, any extra money in the machine must count towards the next entry fee. The other behaviours are based off when the cancel button is pressed, a LED relating to the amount of money paid into the machine towards an entry fee e.g. a Ā£1 LED if Ā£1 is in memory etc. up to the maximum of Ā£3, In the circuit these LED s must stay on until the next input. The general structure of my implementation can be split up into three segments; Input, storage, and output. In the input section there are 2 bits of memory to temporarily store the 3 different inputs, 01 representing Ā£1, 10 representing Ā£2 and 11 representing cancel pressed. This memory is cleared once it has been clocked into the main storage of the system. The storage is implemented with 3 bits of memory as there are 6 possible states for the memory, Ā£0 to Ā£5, the 1 and 2 bit are only affected once an input has been clocked in however the 4 bit is only affected by the carry bit of the 2 bit memory and is cleared as soon as an input button has been pressed as this was part of the assignment specification. ... • 29. St. Thomas Aquinas Argument On God St. Thomas Aquinas is a famous philosopher from the medieval period who believed there was a god. One of Aquinas significant works in philosophy was his argument that God exists. In Aquinas argument, or also known as Summa Theologica, he uses five arguments to support the claim that God exist and four of them are cosmological argument. Cosmological arguments are arguments that try to reason that god exists because of the universe or cosmos leads to the conclusion that god exists. His first argument is the Argument From Motion. In the argument of motion Aquinas observed that we live in a world and universe that things are continuously moving, and he also noticed that to make something move something has to move or start it moving. To Aquinas this means that everything that is moving must have been moved by something or someone and there had to be a time when the thing wasn t moving. The mover for the beginning of everything in Aquinas argument is God. The second argument is the Argument From Causation which is very similar to the Argument From Motion. Aquinas thoughts were that everything that is caused had to be caused by something else. Nothing can cause it s self so there must be an thing that is uncaused and to Aquinas that thing is God because it can t go back forever. The Third argument is The Argument From Contingency. Contingency is a future or thing that could have not existed and Aquinas believe that the world can t always be contingent because then it could have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This causes there to be separate groups and organizations who have different advantages than the other groups. The disadvantages that these other groups have can affects their lives drastically. Some of these advantages and disadvantage are caused by privilege Privilege is the benefits you get from belonging to a certain group. Being privileged could result in many advantages in life. Essentially if you were born a male you have a better advantage than a woman would. Men has the luxury to get payed more than women do and they don t have to worry about being raped by just walking down the street. Another advantage of being privileged in being born white. Being born caucasian or African American isn t something that you can control, however the opportunities they get sometimes are based upon the color of their skin. In the past years, there has been an ongoing trend that haven t been changed. Caucasians have been getting better jobs and better opportunities than people of color. There are certain jobs out there today that mainly hire white males; this is because they re known to be superior and dominant in the U.S. However not everyone seeing this issue because they are blinded by their privileges. • 31. Reflection On The Cradle Catholic With over half of the students in Xavier University s undergraduate program identifying as Catholics, I was not surprised that I ended up with a partner who is Catholic. However, I was surprised to hear how into the Catholic faith my partner was and how much it has influenced him as a person. My partner was Max Foreman, and just like myself, he has been a cradle Catholic his entire life. Cradle Catholic is a term used to basically say that since he was born he has been Catholic because his parents were Catholic and wanted to pass their faith down to him. As a Roman Catholic you are expected to attend Mass every Sunday and every holy day of obligation. For just one hour a week we go to listen to the word of God, pray to God, and receive the Eucharist, but only if you have had your First Communion. Not only did Max attend Mass every Sunday, he was an active part of it because he was an altar server. Basically, an altar server is the priest s first hand man while Mass is being celebrated. When I asked Max to expand more on his experience as an altar server he told me that it allowed him to really become closer with God and realize that the Eucharist truly is more than just a piece of bread and wine but that it fully is the actual body and blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Further, the paper will also put light on a proposal to build a semantic search based on previous keyword search engine but with the added capability of Natural Language Processing. 3. SEMANTIC SEARCH TECHNIQUES This section describes different semantic methodologies being forwarded by the scholars. Currently, various types of search engines are being deployed to access the information required. Each search engine has its own features and uses different algorithms to index, rank and present web documents. Hence the result put forth on information retrieval by the search engines are different from one another. And there is not a definite and unique single technology or architecture that leads to a logical and meaningful search engine. In fact there can be various ways to achieve this. G. Madhu, Dr. A. Govardhan, and Dr. TV Rajinikanth in their survey of intelligent semantic web search engines have addressed the two types of research problems in creating semantic search engine. The first problem of matching a query to the concerned documents with related information in an intelligent and meaningful way can be solved with semantic annotations to produce intelligent and meaningful information by using query interface mechanism and ... [In short], many of Frost s poems give life lessons and enlighten the readers on the subjects of nature and life altogether, making Robert Frost an outstanding poet in American History. Robert Lee Frost, named after the famous Southern General Robert E. Lee, was brought into this world on March 26, 1874, in San Francisco, California. In this poem, Frost uses a fork in a road to describe making decisions in life. Given the main idea, most likely the poem is referring to Frost s decision to leave farming to follow poetry. Frost uses five lines of poetry in each verse with similar length. Using the technique of inferring, analysts can conclude that the poem relates to the theme of perfect decision making. It shows that decisions can not always be perfect. Frost uses symbolism and imagery to display a visual representation of a decision. For example, in lines 1 2 Frost uses the fork in the road in a forest as a reference to a decision with two choices. He evaluates each side (trade offs in a decision) and chooses a side as in lines 4 5. Shortly after, he describes the side he chose. He says the road was grassy and that it was not worn. This creates not only a mental image but the realization that one side can visually appear better than the other. On line 12, he states that there are leaves on the ground which we can picture and also believe that it is autumn. From line 16 to 20, he repeats the first stanza. This represents the reflection of his decision. Although he repeated the first stanza, Frost removed the word yellow, that described the woods, and also said that he chose the one less traveled, and he did not regret it. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I / I took the one less traveled by, / And that has made all the difference (The Road Not Taken). Frost does this to show that decision making can be hard, but it is best to evaluate and choose the decision that is best suitable, not what everyone else chooses. Throughout this poem, Frost tries to bring attention to questionable/uneducated decisions in life and make the best of them through his tone and word choice. Arguments Against Property Dualism An Argument for Interactionist Dualism in Contrast to Property Dualism This philosophy study will define the importance of interactionist substance dualism as a form of dualism that makes the most appealing argument against property dualism. The polarization of substance and property dualism typically defines a separation of physical and mental states. In this context, the function of separating mental states from the physical states illustrates a complete disconnect in the strict terms of substance dualism. In contrast to this, property dualism finds that there are only physical states, but that there can only be non physical properties of physical substances. In both cases, the disconnect of the mind/body relationships has been reduced to abstracted mental states or a division between the mind and the body.
