Hunting Gray Wolves Should Be Illegal
Around the world, there are thousands of wildlife animals. Gray Wolves are one type of them;
their small domestic animals that are very fast, move in packs, and hunt deer and other animals for
food. Despite the fact that Gray Wolves hunt deer, they are helpful animals to the ecosystem. Gray
Wolves keep the ecosystem s movement in check. They actually help the environment more than
hurt it. They can be as friendly like dogs if raised from pups. They re very interesting animals and it
should be illegal to hunt them because they are almost extinct, they keep the prey population in
check, and are unique animals trying to survive. HuntingGray Wolves should be illegal because
they are interesting animals, that many become extinct if hunting continues. Gray Wolves were
once common throughout all of North America, but were exterminated in most areas of the
United States by the mid 1930s ( Basic Facts ). Gray Wolves are being killed by people hunting
them. People hunt these wolves for the fun of it or because they re afraid of them, but what so
fun about killing innocent creatures and wolves rarely attack humans. Hunting Gray Wolves will
make them become extinct. There are an estimated.... 3700 grey wolves in the Great Lakes
Region and 1675 in the Northern Rockies ( Basic Facts ). If wolves became extinct; generations
later wouldn t be able to see them. Wolves are also in many fictional cartoons like Three Little
Pigs, and Little Red Riding Hood. These two entertaining

Informal Borrowing and Lending in Rural Finance
INFORMAL BORROWING AND LENDING IN RURAL FINANCE
INTRODUCTION
This paper presents an assessment of informal borrowing and lending in rural finance with a focus
on its advantages and disadvantages. It examines a number of issues related to the functioning of
rural credit markets, determinants of rural interest rates, why the government intervenes in rural
credit markets and how.
BACKGROUND Commercial banks and other formal institutions fail to take care of the credit
needs of peasants, however, mainly due to their lending terms and conditions. It is generally the
rules and regulations of these formal financial institutions that have created the myth that the poor
are not bankable, and since they can t afford the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also mentions the less traditional and informal forms of collateral acceptable in rural markets
and the convenience it gives poor peasants. Many of these rural dwellers live in subsistence and
can only use farm produce, livestock, labour etc as collateral in exchange for loans. He further
states that with informal borrowing, the circumstances surrounding the applicant are considered
when the financial assistance is being offered. This offers the advantage of having special
considerations even when the criteria for lending are not met. In short, the informal market does
not have set standards to measure up to when financial services are needed, and therefore they are
able to offer flexible services according to individual needs.
Motamen Samadian (2012) accedes to these claims in her presentation, identifying intimate
knowledge of requirement and abilities between lenders and borrowers, better rates of loan
recovery as far as the lenders are concerned, repayment flexibilities and minimum protocol as the
advantages of informal credit. There are, however, many limitations and disadvantages of informal
credit. In 1981, Stiglitz and Weiss in their work established a link between information asymmetry,
adverse selection and moral hazard. In their analysis, interest rates charged by a lender is seen as
having a dual role of sorting potential borrowers, leading to adverse selection and affecting the

Destiny In The Aeneid
Many may tell themselves, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul , William
Ernest Henley s, Invictus. Individuals often believe life is independent of outside forces; one does
not often ponder whether situations that introduce decisions or experiences are controlled by fate
and the gods. In Virgil s The Aeneid, he introduces the notion that we are all subject to the
workings of fate regardless of our will or desire; this is shown through the tragic romance between
Aeneas, a Trojan, and Dido, the queen of Carthage. Their love and lives are a combination of free
will, fate, and the work of the gods. We are all brought into the world without choice, thus lack the
will to change our destiny from birth. In the end, however it... Show more content on

The gods do not have power over fate, but this not discourage their usage of influence within human
lives.
Once Dido s and Aeneas love has been set on its course, he receives word from the god Mercury
to return to his duties for Troy, Blind to your own realm, oblivious to your fate! (Virgil, p.136)
Aeneas desires the love of Dido, but recognizes his obligation to found Rome. This is where a
complication arises regarding fate. Aeneas strayed from his destiny, moving alongside his desires
rather than uniting his aspirations with his obligations, thus creating conflict within his life and
difficulties weighing the importance of his obligations and desires. The pressures of fate and the
gods were not in Aeneas control; however, it was his own decision to fall in love with Dido and
ignore his mission, even if momentarily. As humans we are obligated to one another regardless of
desire.
Later, Aeneas decides to return to the path molded for him: in spite of all he obeys the gods
commands and back he goes to his ships. (Virgil, p. 141) Aeneas ignores his passion for Dido
and continues on his path of obligation to Troy. It was not the decision of the gods, nor the doing
of fate; Aeneas decisions are his own. However, if Aeneas would have strayed towards his desires,
he would have continuously ended up within the line of his destiny because regardless of our wants
we ultimately walk within the parameters Fate allows. Virgil

Fig 2.1 Renewable generation and displacement supported by the RET, 2013 [6]
This high number of renewable energy penetration especially in LV network has raised new way
of utilizing bidirectional power flow in the distribution network. Bidirectional power flow from
DG, is common phenomena now a day s .For example, in a normal sunny day, the average PV
generation would be high compared to cloudy day; and, the load requirement during day time in
residential areas are quite low compared to early evening to night time. As, PV installations are
carried out keeping the total load demand from a house , during the sunny day, the PV can easily
exceed the load demand and generate excess power than required. This power is then back flowed
to the distribution network causing bidirectional power flow. From recent trends, in most of the
countries with PV installation in the world, this bidirectional power flow is allowed in the grid via
the smart meter and the distribution retailers pay the consumer for supplying power to

The Qur an further encourages sex by outlawing celibacy and permitting polygamy, thus reinforcing
heteronormative sexual behavior. Since the purpose of sex is procreation according the religious
text, homosexuality is seen as an aberration of Allah s will which threatens Muslims with
extinction. As a result, there is officially no room for homosexuality or homosexuals within Islam.43
Scholars of shari a, Islamic law, interpret homosexuality to be not merely a sin, but a crime as well.
Despite this, there is no specific punishment for homosexuality; instead, the decision is left to the
discretion of the ruling authorities. Shari a encourages those accused of homosexuality to repent
instead of confessing to the crime . This phenomenon can potentially explain the paucity of
historical literature of punishment of sexual transgressions.44 Islamic law stands for privacy and
protects it by all means. Besides, it repeatedly emphasizes that a person is innocent until proven
guilty without any doubt, and

Bitter Front Lines
A bitter coldness whips around your face in the harshness of the battered war. A snap of wind
turning your already paled and dirt splattered face a frozen, cold red. Battered men bid to live on
to the next battle.Vital blood that once was contained in a soldier s body, now lingers, dryly
splattered across your dull green colored uniform. Smiles of your once alive brother drills itself
into your head. Their memory hitches onto your brain like a remora catching a ride with a shark.
A fog invades the once clear pale blue skies. Blood stricken bodies that lay above the Earth s core
seep into the sky. Men cry over their partners or slip away into the night, attempting to hide the
ghastly liquid that spills over from their eyes. The only food provided... Show more content on

have died an honorable death, but nobody can choose to say or dissect whether they had
perished from the appalling deathly gases, or from an enemy along the front. Families are
forced to live on a somewhat normal life, apart from their noble brethren. Against the bitter front
lines, men hold onto their rifles like it is the only thing left in their life. Their boots slosh and
stick against the broken down earth: mud. Eyes are drained of life, their sockets deepening and
sinking into their face as if they were the living dead. Some men get the blessed time of sleep, a
holy pull into the deep and sugar coated dreams. Life amongst the trenches is no easy task.
Walking alone being hard for you, as you walk along the lines of the same old, long and narrow
lines of the trench. Your feet become frozen and numb, servant to any pain that comes across.
Not only do the men screech and yelp from the damage of a bullet, they cry out in agony due to
the decapitation of feet from the horrid trench foot. Men make their own fate, trying to ignore the
fact that the next day may be their last. The choice being theirs, whether or not they decide to live

The nurse started to ask Mr. H. some questions about his disease and she discovered that he did
not have the minimum knowledge about diabetes or how to control it; he did not even know how
to use the glucometer to check his blood glucose level. Mr. H s nurse was trying hard to convince
him to attend diabetic lectures and read to gain the knowledge needed to prevent the consequences
of diabetes, but again he used the time to make excuses.
In 2003, Mr. H was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease. Therefore, he had to go to the
dialysis unit three times a week. Due to this problem, he decided to retire so he would be able to
go to the dialysis sessions. Mr. H was committed in going to his dialysis session, but still
according to him, he could not change his lifestyle and eating habits. Three years later, his
physician decided to do peritoneal dialysis for him. Mr. H s daughter was taught how to perform it
for him at home. Mr. H s conditions started to deteriorate and he went into depression since he
became dependent on others to an extent that he did not want to take a bath.
Mr. H refused to take his insulin dose and his daughter was worried. In fact, Mr. H was much more
worried because he knew that two of his daughters were diagnosed with diabetes and he did not
want them to suffer. Mr. H continued to resist taking his insulin dose and other medications. In

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Caste
Caste is closely connected with the Hindu Philosophy and religion, custom and tradition, it is
believed to have had a divine origin and sanction. It is deeply rooted social institution in India.
Eminent scholar G.S.Ghurye points out that any attempt to define caste system is bound to fail
because of its complexity of the phenomenon.(Ghurye : 1961).To define simply in Indiacasteis a
social stratification; historically it separated communities into thousand of endogamous hereditary
groups called Jatis . The Jatis were grouped by Brahminical texts under four categories, known as
Varnas. Certain groups known as Dalits or Panchama were excluded from Varna system altogether,

(Parekh: 1999). Gandhi s attitude towards caste and its beneficial vestige Varna, which had
provided stability to Indian society for centuries and practicable system of division of labour
changed with time. In later days most prominently after his encounter and verbal duels with
Ambedkar, his ideas transformed and he abandons his initial views. Gandhi soon realised that
several practises in tradition of India that are not defensible. The last two decades of his career
(1927 1947) represent a progressive movement towards a radical critique of caste. Greater
emphasis was laid on social equality, justified with an appeal. It was related to the traditional Hindu
concept of Advaita , or the spiritual oneness of all being. The caste system s most vicious feature, he
argued, is that it has upheld the idea of inherited superiority, there is nothing common in between
Varnaashrama and caste.(Dalton:1993). A tremendous changed occurred in Gandhi s concept of
caste and in 1945 Gandhi s endeavour was that Hindus should regard themselves as a member of
same performing Varna. Gandhi s this reinterpretation of Varna emphasizes his dominant concern
for social equality and harmony an egalitarian democratic

David Keys Catastrophe
In his book Catastrophe: An Investigation Into the Origins of the Modern World, David Keys states
that a volcano that later became Krakatoa erupted in 535 A.D, and that the ash kicked up into the
atmosphere by the eruption caused a climate crisis that ultimately had massive geopolitical and
religious consequences. Keys attributes more or less everything that happened in the sixth century
to this climatecrisis. Many of his points are quite convincing, but some of his most crucial points are
not well substantiated. This weakens both Keys conclusion and the book as a whole. Ultimately,
Catastrophe has many subpar arguments among a few good ones.
Keys starts off the book by arguing that the plague epidemic in the 6th century came from the
climate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, the one point that connects the Turks victory over the Avars to the climate crisis,
the fact about cows and horses, is merely author speculation, presumably based . There is no
historical evidence that the Turks victory over the Avars is in any way connected to the climate
crisis, meaning that the many parts of Keys main argument mainly connected to the climate
crisis by the Turks victory over the Avars are invalidated. Keys also uses suspect evidence in
other sections. For instance, the evidence in Keys section about Mesoamerica is mainly
archeological, due to Mesoamerican cultures having little in the way of written history, so the
points made should be broad and vague. However, Keys goes into way more detail than he
should, and justifies it only by using an excess of words like must have, making him sound at
times like a conspiracy theorist. Indeed, good evidence is few and far between in the
Mesoamerican section, which probably should have been left out. The bind Keys has put himself
into here is that, in order to prove his theory that a proto Krakatoa erupted, he must prove that the
climate crisis affected most of the globe. His other evidence, which consists of reports of two
lightning like booms and a single Javanese myth, doesn t cut it. This means that ultimately, he goes
for quality over quantity, sometimes seemingly making stuff up to prove his theories or enhance

Adam Smith Wealth Of Nations
Born on June 16, 1723 in Kirkcaldy in the United Kingdom, Adam Smith revolutionized economics
and effectively founded modern economics with the concept of free market and GDP in his
magnum opus An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations, as well as his
concept of the invisible hand, which regulates supply and demand naturally in an ideal free market.
He also had progressive views of human nature and how much involvement the government should
have in the market in his book The Theory of Moral Sentiments. He followed the theme of the
Enlightenment in proposing reason and critical thinking as the most important part in judgement
and was practical and rational in his theories about the tendencies of a free market and his theories
on sympathy and its effects on human behavior.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Using reasoning and logical arguments characteristic of the Enlightenment, he shows that a free
market should be able to regulate itself with minimal government involvement. He says that
humanity s own self interest leads to an economy where everyone strives to produce goods and
services that result in maximum gain for themselves, meaning that they are producing things that
are most needed/useful in society, creating a self stabilizing economy the invisible hand concept.
This thesis is evident in his famous statement: It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the
brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We
address ourselves not to their humanity but to their self love, and never talk to them of our own
necessities, but of their advantages. In this quote, Adam Smith is explaining how people s desires
for self gain end up supporting a mutually beneficial free market economy where humanity s own
greed leads to public

Margaret Cavendish And The Scientific Revolution
One of the most prolific eras in our world s history is the Scientific Revolution. During this time
men began to think outside the realm of possibility and delved themselves deep into the exciting
unknown world of science. The innovative minds of these people churned out inventions like
gunpowder and the printing press, as well as, inventive new ways of thinking like the scientific
method. Aside from the inventors and innovators, there were also the publicists and writers
without whom no one would know or understand the new ideas of the time. One such person was
Margaret Cavendish who was born and raised in England. She received the same education that a
lady during her time did. However, due to her husband, Sir Charles Cavendish, she was exposed to
the world of science. The subject intrigued her so much that she ended up publishing her own theory
on atoms. Though her atomic theory contains many scientific Renaissance ideals, it is still seen as a
major contribution of thought during the Scientific Revolution.
To begin with, in order to understand the philosophies of Margaret Cavendish one must also
understand the Scientific Revolution. The Scientific Revolution was a revolution in both thought
and methodology. During the Renaissance science comprised of the organic theories of the
magicians and vitalistic theories created by chemists. Additionally, humans personified the world as
a motherly figure i.e. Mother Earth and Mother Nature; however with advances in technology all

The Diary of Anne Frank Essay
The Diary of Anne Frank
In this project, I will be comparing the life of Anne Frank to mine.
Firstly, I will give a brief timeline of the main events that took place in her lifetime. Then I will
begin to compare the various aspects of her life to mine. Finally, I will draw up a conclusion.
Annelies Marie Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany, just 60 years before I was, 1929. During
the first three years of her life, The
Great Depression happened. The National Socialist Party began to gain support. In 1933, Hitler
was made Chancellor. This was the same year that Otto Frank and his family moved to Holland. A

Otto Frank is the soul survivor from the annex.
Anne had a fairly middle class life up until she moved to Holland.
There she made new friends, but lived a lesser lifestyle. The only comparison I can think of is
when I moved to middle school. I was the only one to go to Lindisfarne from my first school, it
was hard at first, but I soon made new friends. Obviously moving countries is much harder than
schools so I can only imagine what it would have been like for Anne.
It wasn t long before her eleventh birthday, around the same time that
Jews were starting to be erased from Germany. At this time, Anne had to go to an all Jewish
school. This was her first experience of other people hating her because of her own religion.
Anne wasn t able to speak to her friends, go to the cinema/theatre, go shopping, use a telephone
or even go to the park. All of her everyday activities and rights were taken away. If this happened
to me, I don t know what I would do to keep entertained.
All this time spent in Holland, her father had foreseen what was happening and was planning to go
into hiding. It finally happened in
1942. Anne was thirteen and had received the famous diary, her elder sister; Margot had been
called in for a work camp. This was the final signal Otto needed. They moved into the secret annexe

Treatment Of Treatment For Bipolar Disorder
Treatment
Treatment for bipolar disorder has to this day been approach using the biomedical model approach.
Which means that BP disorder has been predominantly treated pharmacologically. Pharmacological
treatment of BP disorder is not to be underestimated, but it is also not to be considered the first and
last option of treatment. Research has shown that the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (along with
various other treatments) combined with pharmacological treatment has been shown to have better
efficacy than each of these approaches separately (Singleton, 2006). However, it has been seen as
a long time technique to use medication as a validator of the diagnosis. This techniques seems

Unfortunately the neurobiology in relation to lithium treatment is not well understood and most of
the research on it is primarily speculative and theoretical, and in turn does not offer much insight.
Although, the great efficacy of this treatment does not come without a price, lithium has a very thin
line between therapeutic effect and toxicity. Blood levels must be check regularly to make sure that
the lithium is within therapeutic levels to avoid lithium poisoning (Jann M. W., 2014). The next
pharmacological treatment that will be discussed is probably the most controversial treatment for
BP disorder, and that is antidepressants. Antidepressant are not a FDA accepted treatment for BP
disorder and the efficacy of this treatment is questionable. Antidepressant may be used on patients
with BP disorder, it is not advised to use them on patients with a history of rapid cycling (of
symptoms). There seems to be a consensus in the research that antidepressants should never be used
to treat BP disorder alone. Antidepressants should be used with antipsychotic or mood stabilizers in
order to protect the patient from potential pharmacologically induced episode of mania that could be
a danger to the patient.

The Power and Glory of Jesus Christ
There is very exciting news in the world at this time, Jesus, the Son of God, has risen and he is
here to do many more things for humanity. Our savior has defeated death and with his victory has
saved even more men than before. There is a true feeling in the air these days and it is one of
gratitude, for we shall all be thankful that he has come back to life to finish his work on earth.
Christ will continue to do countless things in the lives of people and his message is extremely
powerful even today, and will forever be the saving grace that allows people to enter the Kingdom
of Godand rest in eternal life. Jesushas been at work in my life and in the lives of loved ones and

by Jesus resurrection and most of the people in the world have also been affected. Jesus saved
my cousin who had unfortunately been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and the doctors
announced that there was zero percent chance of survival. He decided to leave the hospital
because they said there was nothing they could do for him, he then went to a church and prayed
for three days straight and when he went back to the hospital they had found that the cancer had
actually reduced from there last scan and had moved down to a stage three. Two weeks later he
decided to go back and see how he was doing and they told him that the cancer was gone. I truly

Causes Of Ergotism In The Crucible
During the Salem witch trials nineteen people were hung, one pressed to death, and five died in
jail (Hoffer). When reading The Crucible the sanity of those in it is often questioned but other
variables could have been in play in Salem that year. Every event in history has its share of
theories from moon landings to 9/11. The Salem witch trials may not have been about religion
or witches, but outside factors. The cause and escalation of superstition during the trials of 1692
could simply be the product of ergot poisoning, Encephalitis Lethargica, or geographic divide.
Theorists claim that the Salem witch trials were the result of a harvest of bad rye. Ergot
poisoning or convulsive ergotism could be the cause of symptoms exhibited by the bewitched .
The growth of ergot on rye is dependent on weather. Ergot is more likely to grow in years with
cooler temperatures and increased precipitation. The lands in which ergot flourishes are newly
tilled low and shaded areas (Matossian). In the Middle Ages ergotism could be as devastating to
an area as the black plague. In northern Europe when the potato was not part of the diet, rye was a
common food. Under normal circumstances, the people of Salem were not completely dependent
on rye like the Europeans were in the Middle Ages. The growing season preceding the trials lead to
increased consumption of rye in Salem and some surrounding areas (Bennet). The winter of 1691
was cold and the weather was humid in the spring and summer.

Global Label Management Solution For Medical Devices...
Background The FDA introduced a new regulation that affects all FDA regulated medical device
companies. This new regulation requires that the medical devices companies become compliant
with the Unique Device Identifier (UDI) requirement within the next one to three years. Most of
these medical device companies are not yet compliant and require a suitable solution to maintain
their FDA certification. Description of the Product PRISYM ID has developed global label
management solution (PRISYM 360) that meets the FDA s UDI requirements. When a company
purchases the PRISYM 360 solution, their learners do not have the knowledge or skills
necessary to perform their job. This one day workshop provides a condensed high level
instruction covering the creation, approval, and printing of a production label to fulfill orders for
hospitals, pharmacies, and other medical organizations. Some of the benefits of this workshop will
be to provide the learners with an introduction and overview of the new terminology, how the
software functions, order of operations related to the creation, approval, and printing of a
production label, and how to create a label. The intent is to provide the learners with a level of
comfort in the application before delving into the intense five to eight day formal instruction.
Learning Objectives The application introduces a number of new application specific terms,
essential for the learners to understand to be successful in implementing the

The Mind of Monsters
I can kill a man, dismember his body, and be home in time for Letterman. But knowing what to
say when my girlfriend s feeling insecure... I m totally lost Dexter Morgan (Hall, 2007). Dexter
Morgan is a fictional serial killer from Showtime s series Dexter , but the writers and actors have
portrayed a real life serial killer. Manuel Prado is the real Dexter Morgan. Prado was a Miami cop
who started with smaller crime and worked his way up to becoming a serial killer. Prosecutor
David Waksman told the Miami Herald: He was very cold. He was doing robberies and went

Once that is all clean, he must dispose of the body. Common places to dump a body are rivers,
woods or lakes. But in extreme and rare cases serial killers eat their victims.
The mind of a serial killer is not right and is considered a psychopath. This can be caused by
brain damage. After Henry Lee Lucas was convicted, he underwent numerous neurological tests
that revealed fairly extensive brain damage. Small contusions indicated a frontal lobe injury, and
there was damage to his temporal lobe and pools of spinal fluid at the base of his brain (Vronsky,
2005). Lucas s brain damage is just one cause. Another common reason is that the serial killer
would of had an abusive childhood. Traditionally, the answer has been a horrific upbringing.
Most serial killers were abused as children, many hideously so. (Sandi, n.d) This can have a
range of different abusive activities. One example would be an abusive mother. The killer s
mother would have abused him therefore making him hate women. That would be an example
of how a man killing female serial killer would relate. He would physically abuse the women just
like his mother abused him. Another form of abuse is an alcoholic parent. The serial killer would
wait outside of a bar and look to see of his potential victims were under the influence. If they were
then they would most likely kill the person. A serial killer can also have a euphoric moment. He

Interest rates are not entirely predictable but can be inferred from present interest rate prices. For
example, when current interest rates are exceptionally low, future interest rates can be expected to
rise and vice versa.
Question 2 Consider a two year coupon bond which pays an annual coupon of 5% with a principal
value of $100. Using the zero coupon bonds B(0, 1) and B(0, 2):
1. What is the strategy to replicate the coupon bond?
2. What is the strategy to hedge the coupon bond?

Question 6 You are interested in determining the forward rate between 12 months and 24
months. A 12 month zero coupon bond price B(0,12) is available in the market at $0.97.
However, only a two year bond with annual coupons is available. Its current price is $103 (face
value is $100) while its coupon rate is 6% (assume the last coupon was just paid).
1. What is the price of a 24 month zero coupon bond, B(0,24)?
103 = 6 B(0,12) + 106 B(0,24) = 6 x 0.97 +106 B(0.24)
B(0,24) = $0.9168
2. What is the forward rate f(0,12,24) between 12 and 24 months? f(0,12,24) = B(0,12) / B(0,24) 1

Evaluation Of A Chemical Substance
Spectrophotometry is an analytical method that measures how much a chemical substance is able
to absorb light by measuring the light s intensity as it passes through a specified sample.3 Given
certain wavelengths, the amount of a certain substance in a solution can be determined. The device
used to measure these properties is called a spectrophotometer. This device consists of a
spectrometer that produces lightof any color(wavelength), and a photometer which measures the
intensity of the light.2
In this experiment serial dilutions will be performed and from this, calibration curves will be
produced. New solutions will be created from these dilutions and each new concentration will be
found by using the concentration and volume formula ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Four solutions with different concentrations were created with the B4 solution containing 10mL.
The C1V1=C2V2 formula was utilized again to calculate the new concentrations and the
corresponding values were recorded. Eight standard solutions were tested using a cuvette and a
spectrophotometer. Two spectra were ultimately saved, one for the Red 40 and one for the Blue
1. 3mL of a standard solution was added to a cuvette and was prepared for data collection.
Enough solution was added to obtain viable results. The cuvette was placed in the SpectroVis
accordingly. The absorbance of the sample was recorded from 380 900nm, and the wavelength
of maximum absorbency was determined along with the absorbance at the О»max. These steps
were repeated to determine the О»max and absorbance for each of the eight standard solutions.
The results were recorded and the spectrum was saved. Part C was performed using prepared
drink samples of Kool AidTM. The absorbance of each sample was determined at the two average
О»max wavelengths that were previously found in Part B. The recorded absorbencies were made
sure to fall in the respective absorbance values of the standard solutions.
RESULTS DISCUSSION
In this experiment, the concepts of serial dilutions and the absorbency of light were explored and
analyzed. Calibration curves were also used that consisted of the О»max and absorbances of
standards. In addition, spectrophotometry was used to determine the concentrations of

How Has The Eucharist Changed Over Time
Rituals are events that provide a sense of acceptance and that are done regularly and enjoyed by
many. Rituals mainly refer to a family, religious or community ceremony, rituals also express
emotions such as love and togetherness. The ritual of the Eucharist has changed dramatically over
the past years from the last supper, where Jesusshared his body to his disciples.
The Eucharist is for people in modern times to commemorate Jesus life. The earliest written gospel
of the Eucharista meaning thanksgiving in Greek is located in the First Epistle to the Corinthians
around 55 AD in which Paul wrote to the apostles eating the bread and drinking the cup of the lord

What was Tulipmania? Tulipmania was the craze trade of tulip bulbs in Holland. The selling and
trading of tulips went on until 1637 when it took a sudden downhill. (Goldgar) Back then they
would sell tulip bulbs for more than the price of their house. This is a perfect example of the
many risks you take that can lead to a financial crash ( A story of tulips and bitcoin : When tulips

Theunisz at the time. The Mennist Bryloft was a tavern in Amsterdam, Holland. Lots of visitors and
tourists would come to this tavern just to see the different artwork, water features, and to trade tulip
bulbs. People with similar interests to tulip trading would also meet here. The people that would
meet here were often apart of a drama or poetic group(Goldgar). The tulip was first found in
Europe in the late 16th century(Price). There are lots of different types of tulips that they would

Eaton argues, in depth, how the memoir is not very effective in inspiring readers since they,
according to Eaton, cannot take the memoir seriously. In order to convey his point of view, he
uses many methods to do so, such as providing truthful facts, using quotes as evidence, and
choosing a particular writing style for his review. According to Rachel Whittaker, Drew Brees

The Characteristics Of A Kangaroo
Kangaroo How can a kangaroo hop up to speeds of 35 miles per hour? How dangerous can they
actually be? In order to understand the significance of a kangaroo, one must understand their daily
life, the structure of their body, and their effect on people and the environment. An example of God
s great creativity is the kangaroos body structure. It has functions that are only usually seen in this
animal. The reason a kangaroo can hop up to 30 35 miles per hour is done by its lower half. A
kangaroo has legs like no other animal; their legs are very compelling. These energetic legs have
tendons in them that act like a rubber band. They are elastic, which allows them to do
movements that are unusual to other animals such as hop side to side, quickly hop, and jump
high. Along with these mighty legs, their big feet allow them to spring up into the air at heights
of five to six feet! Not only do the feet help them jump, they also aid in keeping balance since the
feet are so large and have four toes. On the other hand the upper half of the kangaroo is just as
important as or more important than the lower half. The very sharp claws are used to break
grass and other plants off so they can eat it and in some cases they can be used to defend the
kangaroo from predators. They chew their food with very powerful jaws and teeth. Since they
mainly eat grass, their teeth last a long time. The size of the ear on a kangaroo is large and there

The Reflection Of A Motorcycle Riders Group As An...
On the class of ENGL 1301, during the first month, we focused on discourse communities: which
in fact are a group of people who share same values, beliefs, ideas, interest using same language and
method of communication to achieve a certain goal. The people in discourse communities requires
the certain level of knowledge and expertise in the field and becomes part of the discourse
community by understanding and using logos, ethos, and pathos to discuss, explain and argue their
own interest and knowledge within their own community using the own method of communication.
Any people involved in the certain group can be in discourse communities if they share same ideas

The Pros And Cons Of Buddhism And Buddhism
Buddhism treats the concept of good and bad much differently than Christianity does. For one
example, Buddhists don t believe in the idea of sins. Things which are bad are those which prevent
one from reaching enlightenment. Enlightenment is the ultimate goal and it is the things which
help you reach enlightenment and what one obtains in Nibbana which are good. Buddhists don t
dwell on what is considered to be bad. Overthinking the things restricting one from Nibbana would
end up becoming yet another roadblock keeping one from reaching the peak form of human
existence.1 The Buddhist dhamma dictates that becoming an Arahant and following in Buddha s
teachings is one the most natural and human things you can do.1 Instead of rising above humanity,
one who is awakened rises into a form which is more natural than before.
There are many things people need to stay away from when practicing Buddhism. These are all
things which hinder one s journey. The three marks, Edward Conze explains, states that, All the
factors of our normal experience, share three marks (lakshana). They are (1) impermanence, (2) ill,
(3) not self. 6 The first two marks are things which are considered bad. The definition of
impermanence is that something does not last forever. This statement is true within all life. No one
will live forever and nothing will live forever. Buddhism then asks, why should people bother with
the transient if it will not bring lasting pleasure. The other mark this

Summary Of The Mother And Woman Hollering Creek
Julia Alverez s The Mother and Sandra Cisneros s Woman Hollering Creek are fictional short
stories that explore various hardships of adult life and immigration. The stories have their
individual differences, but in the end they both argue that while trauma can crack people s
foundations, with the strength of will and love, people can endure. In The Mother, the narrator and
her familyhave fled their home country, the Dominican Republic, because of the country s
dictatorship. The narrator, Laura, describes those years as a series of disappearing friends,
sleepless nights, house arrest and only after a narrow escape did they escape from that world to
America (2758). Their new worry is that immigration will send them back to that traumatic life. The
last bit of action in the short storyis Laura s meeting with the social worker, Sally O Brien. The
main setting is America, and vignettes of Laura s memories from her life in the Dominican
Republic are distant memories. In Woman Hollering Creek, the focus is on CleГіfilas s wedding
and marriage the stage of her trauma. Unlike The Mother, Woman Hollering Escape shows the fear
within the trauma and not what came after escape. CleГіfilas describes the new normal for the
telenovelas she loved as a girl the same way she views her own life: with no happy ending in sight

The Radio Frequency Identification ( Rfid )
Introduction As technology advances, businesses use technology to improve the efficiency of their
operations. Such is the case with the Radio frequency identification (RFID) in the health care
industry. These devices are very affordable to acquire and are currently used to track resources,
patients, doctors and expensive equipment. RFIDhelps with the collection of information for
patients with lack of communication or people with serious conditions. (Hu, 2015) With hospitals
finding different way to attract new patients in, these devices also help hospitals save money on the
management side to keep them afloat. This advanced technology has great potential to improve
patient experience in healthcare by taking away human error out of the equation.
Literature Review RFID uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags
attach to objects. These tags contain electronically stored information. The information can be
read by RFID readers and can only be read if they are within the line of sight of the reader. There

Life In The 1920 s
The nineteen twenties can be summed up as one of the most important improvements on theatre,
paintings, music, building, and culture. Many changes in the 1920s in day to day life happened. In
the 1920s most of it was under President Woodrow Wilson. During this time many Americans
challenged past traditions and created their own. Many people became interested in new popular
culture. New traditions such as listening to the radio, and watching film brought new thrills about
news, sports, and made party s better. The nineteen twenties was one of the most important periods
of history in the United states. Many writers, painters, and other artist produced some of the best
arts of that time and in the nation s history. Many Americans wanted wanted... Show more content

Scott Fitzgerald. He wrote especially about rich Americans and their search for happiness. His
books were more about Americans that rejected traditional beliefs. His most famous book The
Great Gatsby is considered to be one of the greatest books in history. In the nineteen twenties it also
produced the greatest writer of theatre plays, Eugene O Neill. O Neill had dark and violent views
of human nature. He used the theatrical methods, that no one else have ever used before. The way
that he used them carried an emotional power never seen before in America. Some of his best
known plays were Mourning Becomes Electra, The Iceman Cometh, and A Long Day s Journey
Into Night. A good number of American writers produced great poetry during the nineteen twenties.
The most famous was written by T. S. Elliot, and it was called The Waste Land. Another famous
poem is by Allen Grinsberg, and it s called Howl. Another famous poem in the nineteen twenties is
written by Sylvia Plath, and it s called Daddy. A lot of changes happened to America painting during
the nineteen twenties. Economic growth gave Americas enough money to buy more painting for
home decorations. During this time six new Art museums opened. And slowly many Americans

The Adventures Of Ms. Mackin s Persona
The Adventures of Ms. Mackin s Persona Look at your life and look at your choices my high
school advisor, Kit Mackin, always told me when I was misbehaving in school. Ms. Mackin
counselled me from tenth grade to twelfth grade. Ms. Mackin is a teacher at Sci Academy and
specifically teaches Spanish to eleventh and twelfth graders, and also serves as an advisor. Ms.
Mackin stands at a height of 5 9, with crinkly blonde hair and sparkling olive green eyes. When I
was in high school, Ms. Mackin s love for advising evokes the memory of the love my mother has
for me. While in Ms. Mackin s class, she enlightens all her students with her beautiful smile,
which is as bright as a diamond. In addition to that, Ms. Mackin is also mixed with Irish. Ms.
Mackin is very whimsical as a teacher, but also unrelenting and feisty in difficult situations. Ms.
Mackin has a plethora of personalities, but she reminds me of the beach she goes to with her
son. When I was sitting in her class she had so much energy that she made learning fun and she
does funny gestures in order for us to learn the words. The joy in her teaching makes students
want to learn more about Spanish and make good grades. When Ms. Mackin is in this mode she
reminds me of the calm side of the beach. However, lazy students in her class know that her
serenity turns to anger, when they don t do their work. Therefore, when the waves are raging and
rough against the turf it evokes the memory of when Ms. Mackin is angry. When

Persuasive Speech On You Are Alone
You are alone in a room. You have 2 minutes till your death. You have a phone. Do you make a
call? Who do you call?
Growing up I was led to believe that when you die it will be of old age, in a hospital bed with
loved ones surrounding you. You are able to say goodbye to those you care for and tell them what
you have been waiting and wanting to say. Even if they aren t there it is important to let them
know everything and tell them what they mean to you. And no, this isn t just so you feel better
about yourself it is one of you last acts on this earth, your last chance to say what needs to be said
to those that matter to you. It isn t something that is normally talked about but it needs to be, it is
something that will happen to just about everyone and you need to be prepared.
Guaranteed, this is the hardest thing you will EVER have to do. You can t avoid it, it is
something you will have to do. Many people believe that you should not make this contact to
your family, you should just leave them alone. I think different. This is the last time they will
ever hear your voice or read your message. This small act reflects who you are and is a part of
you that will stay with those people forever. For those people that were tragically lost in the twin
towers attacks, this a decision they were faced with. Many of their families had to answer or
listen to these calls that their loved ones left that they are now so thank full of as all I needed was
that message, and I think that he

Sensory Response
The differences between male and female brains and how the work have been a very controversial
subject in the science world even in present time. In my project featuring the science of Neurology,
the study of the human brain; I will undergo an experiment to see whether male or female have a
faster sensory response time. Sensory response, or ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian
Response), is the response in the brainsorting gathered information of sensory such as touch, smell,
hearing, taste, and sight by relevant and irrelevant information. The response time is the speed
differences in the male and female brain in how it gather the information, sort it, and react to what
is given, (Google Search, N.D.). In easier term My experiment will... Show more content on

Past experiments such as one from the Colorado University which shows that men have an
advantage over women in response time by approximately 11 seconds average after undergoing
a stimulation at the school ( Sensory Reaction Rates Differing Between Men and Women, N.D.).
One disadvantage is that everyone have a different level of focus, intelligent, and how pressured
they feel when under a test. All these factors added in may caused the experiment for a precise
response time have a slight delay(Google Search, N.P.). The best way to approach this is by
having the test subjects at a close range of age (Which in this case is 12 14 years old) because the
same age group inhabits similar brains in thoughts, attention span, and intelligence level. Different
genders have their power points and flaws such as women are proven to be better to respond to
pressure and men are better when it comes to natural reflects. For example. when an object such as
a ball is being thrown at our way, how will we response with that information? The response differs
in men and women. Although male and female are different, what makes the Stroop Effect a
difficult task for both gender? When preforming a task such as the Ignore That! test, both
hemispheres in our brain are forced to work together; one trying to name the color, and the other

ABSTRACTIn the present study, we investigate laterality effects on motor learning based on motor
imagery workout in childhood. Four children groups that were mentally and physically right hand
performed reaching movement via upper and non upper hand with speed and accuracy as possible.
Before and after training session the movement time has recorded and analyzed. Results showed
that mental and physical practices through similar learning processes (similar exponentially
learning curves), have positive effect on both hand performance. But in comparison with mental
imagery, motion time in post test session became significant for both hands after physical practice.
More importantly, in comparison with motor imagery with non upper hand, mental imagery with
upper hand leads to wider progress in motor speed. This kind of advances did not show up in
control group. Findings of this study show priority of upper hand in motor learning via mental
workout. Keywords: Motor Imagery, Motor Learning, Mental Training, Internal Pattern, Reaching

A Report on ACLS
Sophisticated heart life support or Advanced Cardio Life Support (also known as ACLS)
identifies a collection of clinical treatments for the immediate treatments for cardiac event, heart
stroke along with other life threatening health related crisis situations, along with the
understanding and capabilities to utilize those treatments (Field et al, 2010). Sophisticated
capabilities Substantial medical information as well as demanding hands on practice and
training are needed to master ACLS. Only certified medical service providers can offer ACLS,
because it necessitates the capability to handle the person s airway, start IV access, examine and
translate electrocardiograms, as well as comprehend crisis pharmacology; included in this are
doctors (DOs as well as MDs), pharmacy technicians (PharmDs), dental practitioners (DDS as
well as DMDs), midlevel professionals (PAs as well as NPs), nurse practitioners (RNs), along with
paramedics. Many other crisis responders might also be prepared. Several health care professionals,
and even lay rescuers, might be educated in fundamental or basic life service (BLS), particularly
cardiopulmonary resuscitation or perhaps CPR. Whenever a sudden cardiac event happens, instant
CPR is a crucial interconnection in the sequence of coping and surviving. Another essential
interconnection is actually early defibrillation that has enhanced significantly with all the prevalent
accessibility to AEDs (Hazinski et al, 2010). Electrocardiogram

Group Discussion Strategy
Strategy #1 or Procedure #1: Class Discussions
Description: To encourage everyone to participate in a class discussion, I will use a talking tool
to facilitate the discussion. The talking tool will be a small koosh ball that will be passed around
to each person with a light underhand throw. Everyone will get at least one turn to talk and
participate in the discussion. First I will provide a model to the students by showing students how
to lightly toss the ball underhand and then how to catch the ball. Once I catch the ball I will model
how to provide to the discussion and then toss to another student. I will also model how to list and
be an audience member to the person talking. Then I will have the students take turns tossing the
ball and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before students enter the hallway I will demonstrate by modeling how to line up at the door and
enter the hallway. I will then demonstrate how to walk in the hallway with my hands to myself and
with a voice level of 0. I will then have the students line up at the door next to their shoulder
partner. Once students have a voice level of 0 I will allow the students to go into the hallway. The
students will stop once they are in the hallways until everyone is together in one line. The students
will then follow the line leader with their shoulder partner down the hallway to their next location.
By having quiet and smooth transitions, will save time and cut down on behaviors which will
benefit the student s learning environment.
Theoretical Model /Area it best fits and why:
I would show the students how to walk in the hallways appropriatly by modeling. The students
would observe and then repeat what they have observed which relates to the Social Learning
Theory. The Social Learning Theory developed by Albert Bandura focuses on imitation and the
ability of one to watch, memorize and repeat a behavior. Students will imitate me after I model for
them and they will also be able to imitate their classmates. When walking to another location in teh
hallway the students will follow and imitate the line leader to get to their destinatation effectively

  • 2. Hunting Gray Wolves Should Be Illegal Around the world, there are thousands of wildlife animals. Gray Wolves are one type of them; their small domestic animals that are very fast, move in packs, and hunt deer and other animals for food. Despite the fact that Gray Wolves hunt deer, they are helpful animals to the ecosystem. Gray Wolves keep the ecosystem s movement in check. They actually help the environment more than hurt it. They can be as friendly like dogs if raised from pups. They re very interesting animals and it should be illegal to hunt them because they are almost extinct, they keep the prey population in check, and are unique animals trying to survive. HuntingGray Wolves should be illegal because they are interesting animals, that many become extinct if hunting continues. Gray Wolves were once common throughout all of North America, but were exterminated in most areas of the United States by the mid 1930s ( Basic Facts ). Gray Wolves are being killed by people hunting them. People hunt these wolves for the fun of it or because they re afraid of them, but what so fun about killing innocent creatures and wolves rarely attack humans. • 3. Informal Borrowing and Lending in Rural Finance INFORMAL BORROWING AND LENDING IN RURAL FINANCE INTRODUCTION This paper presents an assessment of informal borrowing and lending in rural finance with a focus on its advantages and disadvantages. It examines a number of issues related to the functioning of rural credit markets, determinants of rural interest rates, why the government intervenes in rural credit markets and how. BACKGROUND Commercial banks and other formal institutions fail to take care of the credit needs of peasants, however, mainly due to their lending terms and conditions. It is generally the rules and regulations of these formal financial institutions that have created the myth that the poor are not bankable, and since they can t afford the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He also mentions the less traditional and informal forms of collateral acceptable in rural markets and the convenience it gives poor peasants. Many of these rural dwellers live in subsistence and can only use farm produce, livestock, labour etc as collateral in exchange for loans. He further states that with informal borrowing, the circumstances surrounding the applicant are considered when the financial assistance is being offered. This offers the advantage of having special considerations even when the criteria for lending are not met. In short, the informal market does not have set standards to measure up to when financial services are needed, and therefore they are able to offer flexible services according to individual needs. Motamen Samadian (2012) accedes to these claims in her presentation, identifying intimate knowledge of requirement and abilities between lenders and borrowers, better rates of loan recovery as far as the lenders are concerned, repayment flexibilities and minimum protocol as the advantages of informal credit. There are, however, many limitations and disadvantages of informal credit. In 1981, Stiglitz and Weiss in their work established a link between information asymmetry, adverse selection and moral hazard. In their analysis, interest rates charged by a lender is seen as having a dual role of sorting potential borrowers, leading to adverse selection and affecting the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Destiny In The Aeneid Many may tell themselves, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul , William Ernest Henley s, Invictus. Individuals often believe life is independent of outside forces; one does not often ponder whether situations that introduce decisions or experiences are controlled by fate and the gods. In Virgil s The Aeneid, he introduces the notion that we are all subject to the workings of fate regardless of our will or desire; this is shown through the tragic romance between Aeneas, a Trojan, and Dido, the queen of Carthage. Their love and lives are a combination of free will, fate, and the work of the gods. We are all brought into the world without choice, thus lack the will to change our destiny from birth. In the end, however it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The gods do not have power over fate, but this not discourage their usage of influence within human lives. Once Dido s and Aeneas love has been set on its course, he receives word from the god Mercury to return to his duties for Troy, Blind to your own realm, oblivious to your fate! (Virgil, p.136) Aeneas desires the love of Dido, but recognizes his obligation to found Rome. This is where a complication arises regarding fate. Aeneas strayed from his destiny, moving alongside his desires rather than uniting his aspirations with his obligations, thus creating conflict within his life and difficulties weighing the importance of his obligations and desires. The pressures of fate and the gods were not in Aeneas control; however, it was his own decision to fall in love with Dido and ignore his mission, even if momentarily. As humans we are obligated to one another regardless of desire. Later, Aeneas decides to return to the path molded for him: in spite of all he obeys the gods commands and back he goes to his ships. (Virgil, p. 141) Aeneas ignores his passion for Dido and continues on his path of obligation to Troy. It was not the decision of the gods, nor the doing of fate; Aeneas decisions are his own. However, if Aeneas would have strayed towards his desires, he would have continuously ended up within the line of his destiny because regardless of our wants we ultimately walk within the parameters Fate allows. Since the purpose of sex is procreation according the religious text, homosexuality is seen as an aberration of Allah s will which threatens Muslims with extinction. Despite this, there is no specific punishment for homosexuality; instead, the decision is left to the discretion of the ruling authorities. What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Caste Caste is closely connected with the Hindu Philosophy and religion, custom and tradition, it is believed to have had a divine origin and sanction. It is deeply rooted social institution in India. Eminent scholar G.S.Ghurye points out that any attempt to define caste system is bound to fail because of its complexity of the phenomenon.(Ghurye : 1961).To define simply in Indiacasteis a social stratification; historically it separated communities into thousand of endogamous hereditary groups called Jatis . Gandhi s attitude towards caste and its beneficial vestige Varna, which had provided stability to Indian society for centuries and practicable system of division of labour changed with time. In later days most prominently after his encounter and verbal duels with Ambedkar, his ideas transformed and he abandons his initial views. Gandhi soon realised that several practises in tradition of India that are not defensible. The last two decades of his career (1927 1947) represent a progressive movement towards a radical critique of caste. Greater emphasis was laid on social equality, justified with an appeal. It was related to the traditional Hindu concept of Advaita , or the spiritual oneness of all being. The caste system s most vicious feature, he argued, is that it has upheld the idea of inherited superiority, there is nothing common in between Varnaashrama and caste.(Dalton:1993). A tremendous changed occurred in Gandhi s concept of caste and in 1945 Gandhi s endeavour was that Hindus should regard themselves as a member of same performing Varna. • 11. David Keys Catastrophe In his book Catastrophe: An Investigation Into the Origins of the Modern World, David Keys states that a volcano that later became Krakatoa erupted in 535 A.D, and that the ash kicked up into the atmosphere by the eruption caused a climate crisis that ultimately had massive geopolitical and religious consequences. Keys attributes more or less everything that happened in the sixth century to this climatecrisis. Many of his points are quite convincing, but some of his most crucial points are not well substantiated. This weakens both Keys conclusion and the book as a whole. Ultimately, Catastrophe has many subpar arguments among a few good ones. Keys starts off the book by arguing that the plague epidemic in the 6th century came from the climate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, the one point that connects the Turks victory over the Avars to the climate crisis, the fact about cows and horses, is merely author speculation, presumably based . There is no historical evidence that the Turks victory over the Avars is in any way connected to the climate crisis, meaning that the many parts of Keys main argument mainly connected to the climate crisis by the Turks victory over the Avars are invalidated. Keys also uses suspect evidence in other sections. For instance, the evidence in Keys section about Mesoamerica is mainly archeological, due to Mesoamerican cultures having little in the way of written history, so the points made should be broad and vague. However, Keys goes into way more detail than he should, and justifies it only by using an excess of words like must have, making him sound at times like a conspiracy theorist. Indeed, good evidence is few and far between in the Mesoamerican section, which probably should have been left out. The bind Keys has put himself into here is that, in order to prove his theory that a proto Krakatoa erupted, he must prove that the climate crisis affected most of the globe. His other evidence, which consists of reports of two lightning like booms and a single Javanese myth, doesn t cut it. This means that ultimately, he goes for quality over quantity, sometimes seemingly making stuff up to prove his theories or enhance ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Adam Smith Wealth Of Nations Born on June 16, 1723 in Kirkcaldy in the United Kingdom, Adam Smith revolutionized economics and effectively founded modern economics with the concept of free market and GDP in his magnum opus An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations, as well as his concept of the invisible hand, which regulates supply and demand naturally in an ideal free market. He also had progressive views of human nature and how much involvement the government should have in the market in his book The Theory of Moral Sentiments. Using reasoning and logical arguments characteristic of the Enlightenment, he shows that a free market should be able to regulate itself with minimal government involvement. He says that humanity s own self interest leads to an economy where everyone strives to produce goods and services that result in maximum gain for themselves, meaning that they are producing things that are most needed/useful in society, creating a self stabilizing economy the invisible hand concept. This thesis is evident in his famous statement: It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We address ourselves not to their humanity but to their self love, and never talk to them of our own necessities, but of their advantages. During this time men began to think outside the realm of possibility and delved themselves deep into the exciting unknown world of science. The innovative minds of these people churned out inventions like gunpowder and the printing press, as well as, inventive new ways of thinking like the scientific method. Aside from the inventors and innovators, there were also the publicists and writers without whom no one would know or understand the new ideas of the time. One such person was Margaret Cavendish who was born and raised in England. She received the same education that a lady during her time did. However, due to her husband, Sir Charles Cavendish, she was exposed to the world of science. The subject intrigued her so much that she ended up publishing her own theory on atoms. Though her atomic theory contains many scientific Renaissance ideals, it is still seen as a major contribution of thought during the Scientific Revolution. To begin with, in order to understand the philosophies of Margaret Cavendish one must also understand the Scientific Revolution. The Scientific Revolution was a revolution in both thought and methodology. Obviously moving countries is much harder than schools so I can only imagine what it would have been like for Anne. It wasn t long before her eleventh birthday, around the same time that Jews were starting to be erased from Germany. At this time, Anne had to go to an all Jewish school. Which means that BP disorder has been predominantly treated pharmacologically. Pharmacological treatment of BP disorder is not to be underestimated, but it is also not to be considered the first and last option of treatment. Research has shown that the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (along with various other treatments) combined with pharmacological treatment has been shown to have better efficacy than each of these approaches separately (Singleton, 2006). Although, the great efficacy of this treatment does not come without a price, lithium has a very thin line between therapeutic effect and toxicity. Blood levels must be check regularly to make sure that the lithium is within therapeutic levels to avoid lithium poisoning (Jann M. W., 2014). The next pharmacological treatment that will be discussed is probably the most controversial treatment for BP disorder, and that is antidepressants. Antidepressant are not a FDA accepted treatment for BP disorder and the efficacy of this treatment is questionable. Antidepressant may be used on patients with BP disorder, it is not advised to use them on patients with a history of rapid cycling (of symptoms). When reading The Crucible the sanity of those in it is often questioned but other variables could have been in play in Salem that year. Every event in history has its share of theories from moon landings to 9/11. The Salem witch trials may not have been about religion or witches, but outside factors. The cause and escalation of superstition during the trials of 1692 could simply be the product of ergot poisoning, Encephalitis Lethargica, or geographic divide. Theorists claim that the Salem witch trials were the result of a harvest of bad rye. Ergot poisoning or convulsive ergotism could be the cause of symptoms exhibited by the bewitched . The growth of ergot on rye is dependent on weather. Ergot is more likely to grow in years with cooler temperatures and increased precipitation. The lands in which ergot flourishes are newly tilled low and shaded areas (Matossian). In the Middle Ages ergotism could be as devastating to an area as the black plague. In northern Europe when the potato was not part of the diet, rye was a common food. Under normal circumstances, the people of Salem were not completely dependent on rye like the Europeans were in the Middle Ages. The growing season preceding the trials lead to increased consumption of rye in Salem and some surrounding areas (Bennet). In order to understand the significance of a kangaroo, one must understand their daily life, the structure of their body, and their effect on people and the environment. An example of God s great creativity is the kangaroos body structure. It has functions that are only usually seen in this animal. The reason a kangaroo can hop up to 30 35 miles per hour is done by its lower half. A kangaroo has legs like no other animal; their legs are very compelling. These energetic legs have tendons in them that act like a rubber band. They are elastic, which allows them to do movements that are unusual to other animals such as hop side to side, quickly hop, and jump high. Along with these mighty legs, their big feet allow them to spring up into the air at heights of five to six feet! Not only do the feet help them jump, they also aid in keeping balance since the feet are so large and have four toes. On the other hand the upper half of the kangaroo is just as important as or more important than the lower half. The very sharp claws are used to break grass and other plants off so they can eat it and in some cases they can be used to defend the kangaroo from predators. Overthinking the things restricting one from Nibbana would end up becoming yet another roadblock keeping one from reaching the peak form of human existence.1 The Buddhist dhamma dictates that becoming an Arahant and following in Buddha s teachings is one the most natural and human things you can do.1 Instead of rising above humanity, one who is awakened rises into a form which is more natural than before. There are many things people need to stay away from when practicing Buddhism. These are all things which hinder one s journey. The main setting is America, and vignettes of Laura s memories from her life in the Dominican Republic are distant memories. In Woman Hollering Creek, the focus is on CleГіfilas s wedding and marriage the stage of her trauma. Unlike The Mother, Woman Hollering Escape shows the fear within the trauma and not what came after escape. CleГіfilas describes the new normal for the telenovelas she loved as a girl the same way she views her own life: with no happy ending in sight (2777). The two short stories also differ in the types of threats and how the protagonists dealt with them. Laura describes what the Dominican Republic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Advantages And Disadvantages Of An Outlier INTRODUCTION What is outlier?? In statistics, an outlier is an observation point that is distant from other observations. An outlier may be due to variation in the measurement or it may show experimental error; the latter are sometimes omitted from the set of data. (Wikipedia) Bernoulli (1777) the feasible reliability of an observation is replicated by its relationship with other observations that were attained under similar settings. Observations that, in the opinion of the investigator, stand apart from the majority of the data have been called outliers, discordant observations, rogue values, contaminants, surprising values, mavericks, and dirty data, to specify just a couple of the terms that have been instituted throughout... • 40. The Radio Frequency Identification ( Rfid ) Introduction As technology advances, businesses use technology to improve the efficiency of their operations. Such is the case with the Radio frequency identification (RFID) in the health care industry. These devices are very affordable to acquire and are currently used to track resources, patients, doctors and expensive equipment. RFIDhelps with the collection of information for patients with lack of communication or people with serious conditions. (Hu, 2015) With hospitals finding different way to attract new patients in, these devices also help hospitals save money on the management side to keep them afloat. This advanced technology has great potential to improve patient experience in healthcare by taking away human error out of the equation. Literature Review RFID uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attach to objects. These tags contain electronically stored information. The information can be read by RFID readers and can only be read if they are within the line of sight of the reader. There are two types or RFID tags; passive and active. Passive RFID relies on RF energy transferred from the reader to the tag to power the tag. Active RFID uses an internal power source, such as a battery within the tag to continuously power the tag and its RF communication circuitry. The information is transfer efficiently and automatically without human intervention. (Yao, 2012) RFIDs can be used the 5 areas that are considered to be where ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Adventures Of Ms. Mackin s Persona The Adventures of Ms. Mackin s Persona Look at your life and look at your choices my high school advisor, Kit Mackin, always told me when I was misbehaving in school. Ms. Mackin counselled me from tenth grade to twelfth grade. Ms. Mackin is a teacher at Sci Academy and specifically teaches Spanish to eleventh and twelfth graders, and also serves as an advisor. Ms. Mackin stands at a height of 5 9, with crinkly blonde hair and sparkling olive green eyes. When I was in high school, Ms. Mackin s love for advising evokes the memory of the love my mother has for me. While in Ms. Mackin s class, she enlightens all her students with her beautiful smile, which is as bright as a diamond. In addition to that, Ms. Mackin is also mixed with Irish. Ms. Mackin is very whimsical as a teacher, but also unrelenting and feisty in difficult situations. Ms. Mackin has a plethora of personalities, but she reminds me of the beach she goes to with her son. When I was sitting in her class she had so much energy that she made learning fun and she does funny gestures in order for us to learn the words. The joy in her teaching makes students want to learn more about Spanish and make good grades. When Ms. Mackin is in this mode she reminds me of the calm side of the beach. However, lazy students in her class know that her serenity turns to anger, when they don t do their work. Therefore, when the waves are raging and rough against the turf it evokes the memory of when Ms. Mackin is angry. When ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Persuasive Speech On You Are Alone You are alone in a room. You have 2 minutes till your death. You have a phone. Do you make a call? Who do you call? Growing up I was led to believe that when you die it will be of old age, in a hospital bed with loved ones surrounding you. You are able to say goodbye to those you care for and tell them what you have been waiting and wanting to say. Even if they aren t there it is important to let them know everything and tell them what they mean to you. And no, this isn t just so you feel better about yourself it is one of you last acts on this earth, your last chance to say what needs to be said to those that matter to you. It isn t something that is normally talked about but it needs to be, it is something that will happen to just about everyone and you need to be prepared. Guaranteed, this is the hardest thing you will EVER have to do. You can t avoid it, it is something you will have to do. Many people believe that you should not make this contact to your family, you should just leave them alone. I think different. This is the last time they will ever hear your voice or read your message. This small act reflects who you are and is a part of you that will stay with those people forever. For those people that were tragically lost in the twin towers attacks, this a decision they were faced with. Many of their families had to answer or listen to these calls that their loved ones left that they are now so thank full of as all I needed was that message, and I think that he ... In my project featuring the science of Neurology, the study of the human brain; I will undergo an experiment to see whether male or female have a faster sensory response time. Sensory response, or ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response), is the response in the brainsorting gathered information of sensory such as touch, smell, hearing, taste, and sight by relevant and irrelevant information. The response time is the speed differences in the male and female brain in how it gather the information, sort it, and react to what is given, (Google Search, N.D.). Past experiments such as one from the Colorado University which shows that men have an advantage over women in response time by approximately 11 seconds average after undergoing a stimulation at the school ( Sensory Reaction Rates Differing Between Men and Women, N.D.). One disadvantage is that everyone have a different level of focus, intelligent, and how pressured they feel when under a test. All these factors added in may caused the experiment for a precise response time have a slight delay(Google Search, N.P.). The best way to approach this is by having the test subjects at a close range of age (Which in this case is 12 14 years old) because the same age group inhabits similar brains in thoughts, attention span, and intelligence level. Different genders have their power points and flaws such as women are proven to be better to respond to pressure and men are better when it comes to natural reflects. For example. when an object such as a ball is being thrown at our way, how will we response with that information? The response differs in men and women. Although male and female are different, what makes the Stroop Effect a difficult task for both gender? Influence Ability of Motor Learning from Laterality Using Mental Exercise in Right Handed Children Ayda Ravarian1*, Farhoud Saeid Ershadi2 1 MSc of Occupational Therapy, Tehran University of Medical Science, Women Hospital of Arash, Tehran, Iran 2 PhD of Orthotics and Prosthetics, University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Science, Tehran, Iran ____________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTIn the present study, we investigate laterality effects on motor learning based on motor imagery workout in childhood. Four children groups that were mentally and physically right hand performed reaching movement via upper and non upper hand with speed and accuracy as possible. Before and after training session the movement time has recorded and analyzed. Results showed that mental and physical practices through similar learning processes (similar exponentially learning curves), have positive effect on both hand performance. But in comparison with mental imagery, motion time in post test session became significant for both hands after physical practice. More importantly, in comparison with motor imagery with non upper hand, mental imagery with upper hand leads to wider progress in motor speed. This kind of advances did not show up in control group. Findings of this study show priority of upper hand in motor learning via mental workout. Keywords: Motor Imagery, Motor Learning, Mental Training, Internal Pattern, Reaching ... A Report on ACLS Sophisticated heart life support or Advanced Cardio Life Support (also known as ACLS) identifies a collection of clinical treatments for the immediate treatments for cardiac event, heart stroke along with other life threatening health related crisis situations, along with the understanding and capabilities to utilize those treatments (Field et al, 2010). Sophisticated capabilities Substantial medical information as well as demanding hands on practice and training are needed to master ACLS. Only certified medical service providers can offer ACLS, because it necessitates the capability to handle the person s airway, start IV access, examine and translate electrocardiograms, as well as comprehend crisis pharmacology; included in this are doctors (DOs as well as MDs), pharmacy technicians (PharmDs), dental practitioners (DDS as well as DMDs), midlevel professionals (PAs as well as NPs), nurse practitioners (RNs), along with paramedics. Many other crisis responders might also be prepared. Several health care professionals, and even lay rescuers, might be educated in fundamental or basic life service (BLS), particularly cardiopulmonary resuscitation or perhaps CPR. Whenever a sudden cardiac event happens, instant CPR is a crucial interconnection in the sequence of coping and surviving. Another essential interconnection is actually early defibrillation that has enhanced significantly with all the prevalent accessibility to AEDs (Hazinski et al, 2010). Electrocardiogram ...
