Causes Of Operation Anaaconda
Lack of Planning during Operation Anaconda
It has been 16 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon
which resulted in thousands dead, thousands injured and millions affected across the globe. In the
wake of these terrorist attacks, the Nation had been rocked at its core, as symbols of our freedom lay
in rubble and ash. These acts of terrorism aimed to tear the country apart but much to the terrorists
surprise, their acts brought the Nation together with one common goal in mind. As Americans, there
was no choice but to expeditiously act with force and make clear statement that America will not bow,
surrender or cower to terrorists. Zimmerman (2012) On March 2, 2002 Operation Anaconda, the
largest battle in Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan was executed. Operation Anaconda was
designed from its inception with one objective in mind, destruction of Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorist
networks that had created a strong hold in the Shah i Kot Valley in the Paktia province, Afghanistan.
Overall, Operation Anaconda was a success, General Tommy Franks, the commander of CENTCOM
in 2002 said that the operation s plan didn t survive first contact with the enemy. Although Operation
Anaconda was successful, with its rapid planning, lack of a unified command with an established joint
force command structure over the prepositioning of air assets, ground assets, and SOF assets early in
the fight it led to an ill prepared wartime fighting

William G Morgan Research Paper
Bump, set, spike! In 1985, William G. Morgan, was the creator of what is now known as volleyball.
When he first invented the game, it was called mintonette. The idea behind volleyball was to merge
basketball, baseball, tennis, and handball, with the purpose of making a game that was less physical
than basketball. He then took the net of a tennis court and made it higher and started to play. His next
step was to find the perfect ball to play volleyball with, he tried a basketball bladder which was too
slow and light, the he tried a basketball which turned out to be too heavy and hard. Therefore, Morgan
decided to have a company make the perfect ball for volleyball. They ended up with a leather ball that

This all started around the 1900, when volleyball reached Canada, which was the first foreign country
to play volleyball. In about ten years China, India, Japan, Philippines, Mexico, South America,
Europe, and African Countries were already starting to play volleyball.
In 1916, the NCAA, invited by the YMCA, was asked to fix the guidelines of volleyball. Therefore,
volleyball was both added to schools and physical educational classes in lower education schools. The
following year the game was changed from twenty one points to only fifteen. Three years a couple
more rules were added to game, they could only have three hits per side, and many back row attacher
rules were put in place.
In 1922, the very first championships were played, it was directed by the YMCA, where eleven states
were represented and played. This was the beginning of the true growth of competitive volleyball.
Many years later, in 1949, the first national championship was played in Czechoslovakia.
All to say, the game volleyball not created in a one time event. It took many years to make the game
whole and function. But, if it wasn t for William Morgan, volleyball would not exist right

Corn Vs Eating Corn
Eighty five percent of the corn produced in the United States is genetically modified. Scientists take
genes from one plant or animal and insert them into the DNA of another. Should the people that are
involved with our food system products terminate the usage of corn in our food? Corn is a seed
produced by an annual grass plant producing wheat, oats, barley, rye, and rice. One think GMO sweet
corn is dangerous to human health, species and the environment.
Human and Animals
High fructose corn syrup leads to major weight gain in animals and humans increases the fat for long
term. The lack of naturally omega 3s that are found in healthy animals mostly fish can lead to a poor
omega 3 when feeding corn products. Eating corn while your body already has majority of corn inside
can change how your body function to other products which is called allergic reaction . This can
altered the function of the human body liver and kidney. More than 71.1 percent of people in United
States are obese. Eating the right food that provide humans ability for their brain to function perfectly
would not be mostly corn.

hindu death rituals
There is one thing that is certain in this lifetime that eventually we all must die. A belief in the cyclical
reincarnation of the soul is one of the foundations of the Hindu religion. Death is viewed as a natural
aspect of life, and there are numerous epic tales, sacred scriptures, and vedic guidance that describe
the reason for death s existence, the rituals that should be performed surrounding it, and the many
possible destinations of the soul after departure from its earthly existence (Retrieved from

rituals performed for the soul of the dead body so it reaches heaven peacefully.

The standard cremation ceremony begins with the ritual cleansing, dressing and adorning of the body.
The body is then carried to the cremation ground as prayers are chanted to Yama, invoking his aid.
It is usually the chief mourner and the eldest son who perform the Agni or fire ceremony. He
circumambulates the pyre counterclockwise for everything is backward at the time of death and lights
the pyre. The death now is an offering to Agni. After burning the corpse the chief mourner cracks the
skull with a bamboo , thus releasing the soul from entrapment in the body. After cremation a thirteen
day ritual is done for the safety of the soul till it reaches heaven. Family read a holy book called
Bhagwat Geeta every afternoon for the deceased person. .Twelve hours after the cremation, the ashes
are thrown into a river, ideally the Ganges river, and the mourners walk away without looking back.
On the 3rd, 5th, 7th or 9th day, relatives gather for a meal of the deceased s favorite foods. A portion is
offered before his photo and later ceremonially left at an abandoned place, along with some lit
camphor. On the 31st day, a memorial service is held. In some traditions it is a repetition of the funeral
rites. At home, all thoroughly clean the house. the chief priest than prays for the deceased and his
ancestors so their souls can reunite in the next world.

A Brief History Of Management Consulting
History of Management Consulting Management consulting is helping other organizations make best
possible decisions to maximize their profits, not necessarily generating more revenue. The field of this
job has been growing in the past two decades. The focuses of management consultants have been
changing over the time. However, even people in the field don t know the historical back ground of
the management consulting firms and how the industry has changed in the past. This article covers
these following three things: (1) a brief history of management consulting, (2) characteristics of
management consultants in the past, (3) characteristics of management consultants now.
A Brief History of Management Consulting Consulting firms existed even in the late 19th century in
the United States. The biggest consulting firm back then is Arthur D. Little Inc., which was
established in 1886 (Arthur. n.d.). Around that time period, the size of industry was really small. After
companies started seeking for more profits out of their works, management consulting firms began to
attain more partners and grow. Kiechel (2010) states that current dominating consulting firms Bain
Company, Boston Consulting Group, and McKinsey Company were founded during the early through
mid 20th century (p. 1, 13). Those three firms are currently called Big Three in the consulting field.
During the same period, other consulting firms also appeared. The revenues of management

Cultural And Social Changes In The 1920s
The start of the 1920s introduced a new era. It was an era of rebellion new to the American people. It
is characterized by the new and exciting cultural and social changes throughout America. The most
notable changes are in the areas of fashion, movies and radio, and in the general life at home. To begin
with, the 1920s has a very distinct style of fashion. The most iconic symbol of the 1920s is that of The
Flapper, any young woman who dressed and acted in what was then considered an obscene manner.
The Flapper embodied the 1920s as a whole as it showed the rebellious nature of many Americans in
this time period. There was finally a way for people to express themselves. For the first time in history

Foursquare Church Case Study
Question 1 The Foursquare church was founded by Aimee Semple McPherson. Another name for her
was Saint Aimee. The very first church was founded in October of 1923 located in Angelus Temple in
Long Beach, California. They also popped up in Pasadena, Santa Ana, and Santa Monica. Today,
almost all fifty states have Foursquare churches (Our Story). Most denominations are created because
of a disagreement in a previous denomination but the Foursquare church was created differently.
According to a document found on the Foursquare website called, The Holy Scriptures, Saint Aimee
was not trying to make a denomination. She was just trying to evangelize to anyone who would listen.
She started off as a traveling evangelist healing and feeding thousands of people. She would preach to
every race and gender without discrimination. Because so many people started attending her sermons

Computational Scale Out Workloads Applications
Abstract Scale out workloads are applications that are typically executed in a cloud environment and
exhibit high level of request level parallelism. Such workloads benefit from processor organizations
with very high core count since multiple requests can be serviced simultaneously by threads running
on these cores. The characteristics of these workloads indicate that they have high instruction
footprints exceeding the capacities of private caches, operate on large datasets with limited reuse and
have minimal coherence activity due to lesser data sharing. The characteristics also indicate that the
active instruction window can be captured by a Last Level Cache (LLC) size of 8MB. New processor
organizations have been discussed in literature that tailors the interconnection among cores to match
the communication pattern arising out of the characteristics of scale out workloads. The focus of the
current work is to take the approach of separating a core and LLC bank from a single tile as specified
in literature and design a different interconnection topology for cores and LLC banks to reduce the
latency of accessing the LLC to improve performance. In the current work, four cores and a LLC bank
are designed to connect to a router forming a star topology and the routers ( 4) are designed to form a
2D flattened butterfly topology. The current design has been targeted at 8 cores and has been
implemented using the Bluespec System Verilog HDL (Hardware Description Language) and the

Film Analysis Of Will Leitch s Sausage Party
In recent discussions of the movie Sausage Party, a controversial issue had been brought up over the
film s comedic styles and overall theme. On one hand, some argue that the unique comedic choices the
film employs are what makes the film hilarious. From this perspective, Will Leitch, a film critic from
the New Republic, finds many of the comedic styles funny. On the other hand, others argue that the
comedy is rather juvenile and offensive. In the words of Andrew O Hehir, one of this view s main
critic, the film is a juvenile, sex obsessed cartoon. In sum, then, the issue is whether the comedic styles
of this film adds to or subtracts from this film.
My own view is that this film was overall hilarious and deeply philosophical. Though I ... Show more

Despite the fact that their creators are known for their lifestyles, it shouldn t deny the fact that the film
did a wonderful job satirizing Pixar style films. The movie in many scenes portray the characters as
artistically appealing but there lies in the joke within their relation to humans, the cute food are meant
to be ruthlessly prepared and eaten by the humans. In the scene where the food were taken out of their
packages expecting eternal joy, they were met instead with knives cutting them up and hot water
boiling them to death. The screams and horrors of the food that was smiling just right before serves as
the main punchline as the reality behind inanimate objects and humans. Contrasting with pixar style
films where they show a glorified adventure without the cruel reality these object really face. With that
being said, there is merit in Andrew s argument due to the insane amount of juvenile jokes within the
story through the usage jokes, stereotypes and a sex scene between food at the end. Despite this, I
fully believe that this movie had value because of the satire and revelation within the movie. On the
contentious topic of comedy, Leitch believes that the overuse of stereotypes eventually makes the
movie funny, Hehir feels that it s simply a way to cover up the pointlessness of the story. A defining
feature of Sausage Party would be the amount of jokes jam packed in a short amount of time. Humor
ranging from insensitive stereotypes to food puns

Chicago Bulls Origin Names Essay
The Origin Names Pertaining to the National Basketball Association
Have you ever just sat back and wondered how certain teams in the National Basketball Association
(NBA) got there name as a professional basketball team? Well, after some detailed research I noticed
that there are some interesting facts pertaining to the origin of each team in the NBA. The Chicago
Bulls, Portland Trailblazers, and the Philadelphia 76ers all have interesting specifics relating to their
name and the teams city. The background and origin of the NBA teams pertains to the history of each
team, how they were able to name the team, and how they all share a common interest between each
other.
The Chicago Bulls, a professional basketball team in the state of Illinois that was established in 1966
becoming the league s 10th franchise. Dick Klein, the owner of the Chicago Bulls came up with the
name as saying, We were the meat capital of the world. So Klein decided to use the Bulls because the
name signifies strength and power which ties into the city s meat packing industry tradition during the
late 19th 20th century. As though the name may seem generic it s actually the opposite, Chicago was

two season tickets to all the upcoming home games. Well finally they found a name, which they called

Essay Reconciling the Cuban Embargo
Heading the wrong way made Douglas Wrong Way Corrigan famous. When he filed his flight plan to
fly from New York to California and wound up in Ireland there was much celebrity and very little
downside for him. The US, may not be as lucky with our embargo policy towards Cuba. A policy that
may have a major impact on the US, both domestically and internationally, is truly only actively
discussed in the swing state of Florida. Is the US heading in the wrong direction with this policy?
Certainly the author thinks so, and if he s right it s not likely that we ll receive a ticker tape parade at
the end of journey like Corrigan did.
Alex Lightman walks us through 78 reasons to end the embargo of Cuba. He does this by stating a
reason and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the maon body of the book, Lightman breaks his reasons into five general categories; General,
Political, Economic, Humanitarian and Fair Compensation. Some of these reasons overlap or are
highly intermingled so seeing each point separately may be difficult from time to time.
General
Lightmans general reasons are a small collection of statements that seem not to fit anywhere else in
the treatise. Those in the business world will recognize that the focus here is on effective goal setting.
He educates the reader on the SMART technique and details why the Cuban embargo fails to be a
SMART goal. Then, looking from the other perspective, he evaluates the goal in terms of the results
obtained. Now he questions since the goal has not been met, is it appropriate to continue down the
same well worn path. Further to this point, he posits that for the US to advocate regime change in
another nation is not an ethical goal to pursue in the first place. The section closes out by arguing that
the real beneficiaries of the embargo are people and entities that the American people would never
want to benefit in the first place. His list of beneficiaries includes the Castro brothers, which would
shock any idealistically minded pro embargo supporter.
Political
The vast amount of the book is spent covering the political reasons why the embargo should be ended.

The livestock of man has been distributed throughout the world. Horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and goats
can be found on every continent of the planet, with the exception of Antarctica. These common
animals supply man with food, materials, and transportation. For thousands of years men have bred
these animals for specific purposes. Horses have been bred for work and racing. Cattle have been

Australia s Arid Lands
The arid lands of Australia are sparsely populated compared to those on the coastal fringes. Low
rainfall and a scarcity of water have traditionally limited the arid regions of Australia to the cowboys.
Although Australia is similar in size to the United States, proportionally the amount of arid land is
much higher. In the United States, only the southwest is extremely arid. Seventy percent of Australia
falls into this category, making it well suited for camels. As a result, few people are found more than
one hundred fifty miles inland in Australia. The Australian population can not grow like in America.
The US currently has a population of 275,000,000. Australia s population is only 20,000,000, and
experts argue that it can only grow to 25 or 30 million before being unable to support more people. [3]

Calcium Intake Lab Report
Calcium Intake Lab
Calcium is a mineral that is regulated in the blood by the thyroid. According to the Medline Plus
website (2018), Calcium is important for balancing a body s pH, contracting and relaxing muscles,
building strong bones, blood clotting, sending and receiving nerve signals, and keeping a normal
heartbeat (Medline Plus, 2018). When our diets lack in calcium, our body has to work twice as hard
and takes from calcium stores in our bones. As stated in option three, a food journal was kept to keep
track of my calcium intake for two days and compared to a USDA website. These are my findings.

Edward Group (2015, para. 3 10), Calcium Orotate is the most effective form of a calcium supplement
and is great for supporting calcium levels. Other forms of calcium are calcium carbonate, calcium
citrate, oyster shell calcium, calcium gluconate, calcium lactate, calcium phosphate, and calcium
citrate malate, (Group, 2015, para 3 10). This means that there are several different kinds of calcium
supplements but they are all not created equal. Some calcium supplements are more bioavailably
effective than others. Other calcium supplements should be avoided. Calcium carbonate is not high in
bioavaility and requires the production of extra stomach acid to be absorbed. It is also one of the
cheapest and most prevalent forms of calcium supplements sold today , (Group, 2015, para. 3).
In conclusion, having an adequate intake of calcium in important for many functions of the body.
Keeping a journal of daily food intake can help a person to be aware of missing nutrients that are
important for proper functioning of the body. If a person is low on their calcium intake then eating or
drinking foods with dairy will allow a person to increase their calcium, because dairy has the best
bioavailability. However, lactose intolerant people may need to take a calcium supplement in order to
get adequate amounts of calcium.

What is a stake holder in a business?
A stake holder in a business is somebody that can affect or be affected by the actions of the business.
Businesses have several stake holders each. Anybody associated with a business can be a stakeholder
of that business in some way.
Who are the stake holders at Morrisons PLC?
External Stakeholders
The customers The customers of Morrisons PLC are a big stakeholder in the company. It is because of
the customers that the business is able to function. The customers are able to affect Morrisons because
if they are not happy they will not shop at Morrisons but will go to one of their competitors instead.
This will harm Morrison s profit and therefore result in a decline of the business. ... Show more

The local community does not really affect Morrisons as a whole just the areas stores. If there is only
Morrisons in the local community with a lack of main competitors such as ASDA, Tesco and
Salisbury s, then it is very likely that Morrisons will be successful because the little businesses in the
area pose little threat.
Competitors The competitors of Morrisons are one of the most important stakeholders. Tesco, ASDA,
Sainsbury s and smaller businesses such as Aldi and Lidl are the top competitors of Morrisons. They
decide many factors such as prices, location, products and services that force Morrisons to change. If a
competitor decides to lower a products price, then Morrisons will most likely have to lower the price
too. If Morrisons does not do this then the competitor will sell more products and attract more
customers, some that may be currently Morrison s shoppers. Competitors can also have an effect on
where Morrisons opens a shop. If for example there are 2 Tesco stores in an area, there is not much
sense in opening a Morrisons store nearby. If a competitor of Morrisons starts selling a product that
Morrisons currently does not, it is in Morrison s interest to also supply that product. This is the same
with a service. So if for example ASDA start delivering to a specific area, then Morrisons will most
probably do so too as this can potentially lose them many customers. If a competitor decides to launch
a big advertising campaign

Japan s Laws Of The Trafficking Of Women And Children Is...
Japan is a Tier 2 source, transit, and destination country for forced labor, sexual exploitation, and
forced marriages. Men, women, and children are all susceptible to trafficking. The government
actively participates in the exploitation of its people, especially through the program of TITP, or the
Technical Intern Training Program. The proliferation of the sexual trafficking of women and children
is driven by sex tourism. Runaway girls are among the victims of this horrific trade. Japan does not
meet the minimum standard of the 2000 UN TIP Protocol and is the only G 8 member who did not
accede to neither its standards nor the 2000 Transnational Organized Crime Convention. There are no
convictions for perpetrators of forced labor and no laws enacted to prosecute traffickers. Japan s laws
are not collusive with international definitions of trafficking. In 2015, Japan had a modest increase in
the enforcement of ant trafficking laws. However, Japan s laws do not exclude all forms of trafficking,
rather there are large gaps in their criminal laws. Under the 1956 Prostitution Prevention Law, Articles
7 through 12 criminalizes the procurement of prostitutes and forced prostitution. Article 226 2 also
criminalizes the buying and selling of humans. Under the 1947 Employment Security Act, it
criminalizes the engagement of labor recruitment through violence, intimidation, or confinement. It

Rules Of Rules And Safety Precautions
One of the ways that rules and safety precautions are brought about are actually from games that show
they need rules for it. This is evident when the game first started and was not regulated well with the
type of equipment that should be worn or how the game was played. This lack of knowledge caused
bans of football at schools because people were dying. This whole idea of rules being made through
the game being played can be seen, and it can almost be said that games actually shape the way the
game is played. There have been games that have heavily impacted the way that the game looks today.
These games range from beginning college football to telling players how they can celebrate and even
what kind of plays can be run. This is not only a credit to the players for having such a competitive
spirit that fuels the game in a new direction, but also a credit to the neuromas coaching staffs and
powerful, influential head coaches that think outside of the box to help their team win. This is not only
in the play calling and recruiting of top class players, but in the way that some coaches build major
powerhouse programs that dominate the competition. Paul Bear Bryant is a coach that has had a very
influential impact on college football. When someone thinks about college football his name is usually
one of the names that comes up first. This is because Bear Bryant has one of the most winning and

didn t want to accept the fact that it could be because of a mental illness. Also there came a time where
she went almost a year without going through her mood swings, so this pushed the thoughts of mental
illness right out of her head. When she finally sought out for help, she was put on lithium to try and
treat her disorder. Although the lithium helped her, taking the medicine didn t last long; she refused to
continue taking it because she thought she would be okay without it. Many people that experience
manic depressive illness go through the same thing with taking medication. Some authors have noted
that motivation for adherence in bipolar disorder may be diminished by the hedonic pleasure
associated with some manic episodes (e.g., Cochrane, 1982). (Greenhouse, 2000) She never

The Enlightenment And Ideas Of The Enlightenment
The Enlightenment was a time of mathematical, scientific, and philosophical advancement. The
thoughts of philosophers like Voltaire, Montesquieu, and Locke inspired many, such as the Americans.
Their ideas about freedom of religion, civil liberties, free trade, and social reforms became the basis
that the Americans built their new country upon and impacted politics and culture. Due to the
advanced ideas that were emerging from Europe, religious views of the colonists started to alter.
Before enlightenment beliefs spread, the universally accepted theory was that human suffering was
inevitable. However, the new conjecture stated God set the universe in motion and gave humans the
power of reason to enable them to comprehend the orderly and complex

The Economic Crisis Of The G20
The economic crisis has brought about a transformation in international organization, signaling a
break with the established system of foundation for managing world liaison. While at the first of the
crisis, measures taken appeared ad hoc or temporary, the decision at the Pittsburgh Elevation in
September 20 09 to institutionalize the Chemical group of 20 leaders summit reflects a marked shift in
the locus of leadership. New players, new meeting place and new issues have moved to the center of
global decision making. Over the course of its first class, the G20 has delivered in response to global
economic challenges, at least in a declaratory fashion. However, as we move towards a billet crisis
environment, the G20 s follow on year will bring new challenges. In the lead up to the two 2010 top
Toronto in June and Seoul in November the G20 will need to rise its role beyond the immediacy of
crisis response, and propel the common sense of collective enterprisingness into solidified venture
moving forward. This paper provides a framework of analysis from a liberal theory perspective and
sets out proposals regarding the G20 s place in the evolving international governance design. Through
its dual world first as a forum of ministers and then as a leaders summit the G20 has shown itself
capable of robust natural action. Rather than sticking to a set convention, when the global financial
impact hit, the G20 effectively re invented itself. This process has effectively realigned

The Use of Home Mechanical Ventilation to Manage Chronic...
Home mechanical ventilation (HMV) has been used as long term ventilation for over 70 years to
manage chronic ventilatory failure. In the United States, the first introduce of mechanical ventilation
was by the use of the iron lung which used with polio victims (Tobin, 2006). Iron lung was the only
way available that time to ventilate Poliomyelitis patients and injured army soldiers (Goldberg,
2002).In 1950s, the use of intermittent positive pressure ventilation with mouth piece have began ,and
in 1952, the use of intermittent positive pressure ventilation (SIMV) via tracheostomy was introduced
(Tobin, 2006). In France, professor Rideau had tried applying another method of mechanical
ventilation for some of his patients who were suffering ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result, the interest had increased for the use of all types of mechanical ventilation supports
(Tobin, 2006).
Long Term Mechanical Ventilation
The concept of long term mechanical ventilation has two clinical aspects: Mandatory; which is use
during true life support and elective; which is use to manage patients with chronic ventilator failure
and sleep apnea. In mandatory base, invasive approach is the most common (Tobin, 2006). However,
home mechanical ventilation (HMV) can be delivered by either invasive or noninvasive route of
ventilation. In some centers, if the need for HMV use exceeds 16 20 hours per day, the change to
invasive mechanical ventilation will be considered. In general, the use of non invasive ventilation
(NIV) is more preferred than the use of invasive route of ventilation (M. Laub, Berg, Midgren, 2006).
Noninvasive technology is easy to be learned and to be used by the patients and the family and it
needs less professional presence on the care site, these problems could be solved now a day with the
implementation of telehealth care system which supports and monitors patients and families at home
(Goldberg, 2002).

The Current Time Period Of The World
In the current time period of the world we inhabit we are in a social media age. Social media is
websites that enable us to communicate with one another over the internet. Some of these sites are
twitter and Facebook. This like anything else comes with pros and cons. An example of a pro would
be it is easier for us to find information with websites like google. A major con and what we will be
discussing today is a lack of personal communication with each other. It s quite the contradiction that
nowadays with social media it is easier to talk with people but it s harder to have a real bond with
them. We can meet people on sites like twitter and Facebook or message boards but it isn t as intimate
as having a face to face conversation with another human being. This is making us a more lonely
society. In a survey people in 1985 had a mean size of 2.94 personal confidants in 2004 the number
was 2.08 (Marche 603). Also in 1985 10 percent of the American people had no with whom to talk
about important matters with and 15 percent said they only had one good friend. By 2004 these
numbers were up to 25 percent for nobody to talk to and 20 percent for only one good friend (Marche
603). What these numbers indicate is that the rise in technology has made us have less close personal
relationships. In 2004 social media wasn t as big as it is now so the numbers for this might be even
larger in 2015. These problems seem to be caused by an overreliance on these websites and

Noun Phrases Essay
Noun Phrases in English Truth be told, there are a large number of definitions about phrases. Broadly
speaking, Burton Roberts (1986) states that a group of words used as a component in the structure of
sentences is called a phrase. According to George Yule (2006), a noun phrase is a phrase in which the
main word is a noun functioning as a subject or an object. We can understand the definition of noun
phrases more clearly with the following examples : E.g. The man upstair Five little ducks The
beautiful vase on the table One of the most significant factors that we should pay attention to noun
phrases is that they cannot stand alone as sentences. While the clauses have a verb that can change
depending on the time reference , the noun phrases do not. Also, some noun phrases do not include
subjects either.

not too distant future. The use of computerized clinical information systems to support hospital
operation as well as clinical activities started to flourish in the early 1990s. Besides the significant
technological breakthroughs, including the availability of enterprise level database management
systems (DBMS) and health data standards such as ICD and HL7, new legislation and advocacy by
federal funding agencies also played a key role. International Statistical Classification of Diseases:

Overview of Market Research Online Communities
Background The company, Communispace, offers a very unique process for using the data generated
by marketing research. By building brand focused online communities, data can be collected that
offers a unique and more personalized view into the minds of the customer of a brand. Members of
this community can communicate with each other, even to the point of generating focus groups that
exist to discuss the product. Over time, this community evolves and produces viable information for
companies based on additional details that impact the brand in question. The only way the company
works can grow and prosper is if the data service provided is pristine and unique for that client. The
two major values for the service are: 1) since the communities exist, within 24 hours there is useful
data, and 2) a truer, more gut level response is available that traditional market research does not
provide. Of course, the competitive landscape for market research is vast. The industry as a whole
generates about $10 billion/annum and about 40% of that revenue is segmented to the top five firms.
Beyond that, the industry is quite fragmented with literally thousands of companies. Communispace
ranks about 29th in the industry and was the initiator into online community marketing but now has
several competitors, potentially necessitating additional avenues for its social networking expertise
(Honomichl, 2009). Overview MROC MROC, or Market Research Online Communities are a

The Herbal And Dietary Supplement Market
INTRODUCTION Nutraceutical, a term derived from the words nutrition and pharmaceutical refers to
food or a constituent of the food which has been scientifically proven to provide health and
therapeutic benefits such as the prevention and treatment of a disease. The term was formulated by Dr
Stephen de Felice in 1989. Nutraceuticals have a role in maintaining and improving the wellbeing and
health of an individual as well as regulating immunity. Consequently preventing and treating
particular diseases (Chauhan et a.l, 2013). Nutraceuticals are found in a diverse group of products
coming forth from the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the herbal and dietary supplement
market. They are present in most of the food ingredients with varying concentration. A diet rich in
these along with regular exercise, stress reduction and maintainance of healthy body weight will
maximize health and reduce disease risks (Chaturvedi et al., 2011). Nutraceuticals are on demand
because medical science is now realising the importance of food in treatment and prevention of
diseases since regular consumption of synthetic drugs sometimes cause organ failure and so many
other effects. Again, consumers have the belief that food like substances are either harmless or less
toxic as compared to conventional drugs, furthermore nutraceuticals are cheaper and are safe with
regards to avoiding the side effects associated with drugs (Tapans et al., 2008). CLASSIFICATION

Marilyn Monroe s legend remains as the ultimate blonde bombshell and as one of the most
recognizable faces ever to grace the silver screen. Born June 1, 1926 she was baptized Norma Jean
Baker. Her turbulent youth was due to an absentee father and a mentally unstable mother. By 1933 she
went to live with her mother s best friend, Grace McKee, and she was the first to give Norma Jean the
idea of becoming a movie star.

fighting in World War II, Norma Jean got a factory job. Soon after a photograph of her at work

Fox. He helped make Norma Jean a star by altering her appearance and changing her name to prepare
her for Hollywood. Marilyn Monroe was chosen as her name because of her resemblance to Broadway
actress Marilyn Miller and because Monroe had been her mother s maiden name.

Brothers film Love Happy. Her first substantial roles came in 1950 with The Asphalt Jungle and All
about Eve. Those films both casted her as a dimwitted

Nuclear Waste Policy Analysis
In 1987, the U.S. Congress passed the Amendments to the Nuclear Waste Policy Act that designated
Yucca Mountain 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas as the top site to store nuclear waste from across the
country.
For the last 30 years, the project has faced a strong opposition from Nevada officials and many
residents of the state, while nuclear power interests, utility companies, and some Congress members
have been supportive of it. In 2002, Congress and President George W. Bush approved Yucca
Mountain as the first geologic repository for storage of spent fuel and high level waste, and the
licensing began in 2008. After the Obama administration at the urging of then U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D

  • 2. Causes Of Operation Anaaconda Lack of Planning during Operation Anaconda It has been 16 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon which resulted in thousands dead, thousands injured and millions affected across the globe. In the wake of these terrorist attacks, the Nation had been rocked at its core, as symbols of our freedom lay in rubble and ash. These acts of terrorism aimed to tear the country apart but much to the terrorists surprise, their acts brought the Nation together with one common goal in mind. As Americans, there was no choice but to expeditiously act with force and make clear statement that America will not bow, surrender or cower to terrorists. Zimmerman (2012) On March 2, 2002 Operation Anaconda, the largest battle in Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan was executed. Operation Anaconda was designed from its inception with one objective in mind, destruction of Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorist networks that had created a strong hold in the Shah i Kot Valley in the Paktia province, Afghanistan. Overall, Operation Anaconda was a success, General Tommy Franks, the commander of CENTCOM in 2002 said that the operation s plan didn t survive first contact with the enemy. Although Operation Anaconda was successful, with its rapid planning, lack of a unified command with an established joint force command structure over the prepositioning of air assets, ground assets, and SOF assets early in the fight it led to an ill prepared wartime fighting ... • 7. A Brief History Of Management Consulting History of Management Consulting Management consulting is helping other organizations make best possible decisions to maximize their profits, not necessarily generating more revenue. The field of this job has been growing in the past two decades. The focuses of management consultants have been changing over the time. However, even people in the field don t know the historical back ground of the management consulting firms and how the industry has changed in the past. This article covers these following three things: (1) a brief history of management consulting, (2) characteristics of management consultants in the past, (3) characteristics of management consultants now. A Brief History of Management Consulting Consulting firms existed even in the late 19th century in the United States. The biggest consulting firm back then is Arthur D. Little Inc., which was established in 1886 (Arthur. n.d.). Around that time period, the size of industry was really small. After companies started seeking for more profits out of their works, management consulting firms began to attain more partners and grow. Kiechel (2010) states that current dominating consulting firms Bain Company, Boston Consulting Group, and McKinsey Company were founded during the early through mid 20th century (p. 1, 13). Those three firms are currently called Big Three in the consulting field. During the same period, other consulting firms also appeared. The revenues of management consulting ... It is characterized by the new and exciting cultural and social changes throughout America. The most notable changes are in the areas of fashion, movies and radio, and in the general life at home. To begin with, the 1920s has a very distinct style of fashion. The most iconic symbol of the 1920s is that of The Flapper, any young woman who dressed and acted in what was then considered an obscene manner. • 10. Computational Scale Out Workloads Applications Abstract Scale out workloads are applications that are typically executed in a cloud environment and exhibit high level of request level parallelism. Such workloads benefit from processor organizations with very high core count since multiple requests can be serviced simultaneously by threads running on these cores. The characteristics of these workloads indicate that they have high instruction footprints exceeding the capacities of private caches, operate on large datasets with limited reuse and have minimal coherence activity due to lesser data sharing. The characteristics also indicate that the active instruction window can be captured by a Last Level Cache (LLC) size of 8MB. New processor organizations have been discussed in literature that tailors the interconnection among cores to match the communication pattern arising out of the characteristics of scale out workloads. The focus of the current work is to take the approach of separating a core and LLC bank from a single tile as specified in literature and design a different interconnection topology for cores and LLC banks to reduce the latency of accessing the LLC to improve performance. In the current work, four cores and a LLC bank are designed to connect to a router forming a star topology and the routers ( 4) are designed to form a 2D flattened butterfly topology. The current design has been targeted at 8 cores and has been implemented using the Bluespec System Verilog HDL (Hardware Description Language) and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Film Analysis Of Will Leitch s Sausage Party In recent discussions of the movie Sausage Party, a controversial issue had been brought up over the film s comedic styles and overall theme. On one hand, some argue that the unique comedic choices the film employs are what makes the film hilarious. From this perspective, Will Leitch, a film critic from the New Republic, finds many of the comedic styles funny. On the other hand, others argue that the comedy is rather juvenile and offensive. In the words of Andrew O Hehir, one of this view s main critic, the film is a juvenile, sex obsessed cartoon. In sum, then, the issue is whether the comedic styles of this film adds to or subtracts from this film. My own view is that this film was overall hilarious and deeply philosophical. Though I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Despite the fact that their creators are known for their lifestyles, it shouldn t deny the fact that the film did a wonderful job satirizing Pixar style films. The movie in many scenes portray the characters as artistically appealing but there lies in the joke within their relation to humans, the cute food are meant to be ruthlessly prepared and eaten by the humans. In the scene where the food were taken out of their packages expecting eternal joy, they were met instead with knives cutting them up and hot water boiling them to death. The screams and horrors of the food that was smiling just right before serves as the main punchline as the reality behind inanimate objects and humans. Contrasting with pixar style films where they show a glorified adventure without the cruel reality these object really face. With that being said, there is merit in Andrew s argument due to the insane amount of juvenile jokes within the story through the usage jokes, stereotypes and a sex scene between food at the end. Despite this, I fully believe that this movie had value because of the satire and revelation within the movie. On the contentious topic of comedy, Leitch believes that the overuse of stereotypes eventually makes the movie funny, Hehir feels that it s simply a way to cover up the pointlessness of the story. A defining feature of Sausage Party would be the amount of jokes jam packed in a short amount of time. Humor ranging from insensitive stereotypes to food puns ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Essay Reconciling the Cuban Embargo Heading the wrong way made Douglas Wrong Way Corrigan famous. When he filed his flight plan to fly from New York to California and wound up in Ireland there was much celebrity and very little downside for him. The US, may not be as lucky with our embargo policy towards Cuba. A policy that may have a major impact on the US, both domestically and internationally, is truly only actively discussed in the swing state of Florida. Is the US heading in the wrong direction with this policy? Certainly the author thinks so, and if he s right it s not likely that we ll receive a ticker tape parade at the end of journey like Corrigan did. General Lightmans general reasons are a small collection of statements that seem not to fit anywhere else in the treatise. Those in the business world will recognize that the focus here is on effective goal setting. He educates the reader on the SMART technique and details why the Cuban embargo fails to be a SMART goal. Then, looking from the other perspective, he evaluates the goal in terms of the results obtained. Now he questions since the goal has not been met, is it appropriate to continue down the same well worn path. Further to this point, he posits that for the US to advocate regime change in another nation is not an ethical goal to pursue in the first place. The section closes out by arguing that the real beneficiaries of the embargo are people and entities that the American people would never want to benefit in the first place. His list of beneficiaries includes the Castro brothers, which would shock any idealistically minded pro embargo supporter. Political The vast amount of the book is spent covering the political reasons why the embargo should be ended. This section ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If there is only Morrisons in the local community with a lack of main competitors such as ASDA, Tesco and Salisbury s, then it is very likely that Morrisons will be successful because the little businesses in the area pose little threat. Competitors The competitors of Morrisons are one of the most important stakeholders. Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury s and smaller businesses such as Aldi and Lidl are the top competitors of Morrisons. They decide many factors such as prices, location, products and services that force Morrisons to change. If a competitor decides to lower a products price, then Morrisons will most likely have to lower the price too. If Morrisons does not do this then the competitor will sell more products and attract more customers, some that may be currently Morrison s shoppers. Competitors can also have an effect on where Morrisons opens a shop. If for example there are 2 Tesco stores in an area, there is not much sense in opening a Morrisons store nearby. If a competitor of Morrisons starts selling a product that Morrisons currently does not, it is in Morrison s interest to also supply that product. This is the same with a service. An example of a pro would be it is easier for us to find information with websites like google. A major con and what we will be discussing today is a lack of personal communication with each other. It s quite the contradiction that nowadays with social media it is easier to talk with people but it s harder to have a real bond with them. We can meet people on sites like twitter and Facebook or message boards but it isn t as intimate as having a face to face conversation with another human being.
