Iran And The Iranian Hostage Crisis
In 1979, the Iranian hostage crisis would occur; this event would damage and sever ties between Iran
and the United States for years to come. Over the years, Iran would have hard line leaders that would
only further isolate themselves from western powers and more specifically the US. It would be
another 30 plus years before Iran would seek out the US and have a conversation between the two
countries; leading to what might be a possible change in policy for a country that has been isolated
from the international stage.
Iran s presidential election in June 2013 was won by Hassan Rouhani and led to him taking over for
the hard liner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. President Rouhani has been known to cooperate with the West,
specifically when he was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Former President Ahmadinejad set Iran back years by putting Iran into extreme isolation from the
international community. His continued badgering with the international community, eventually lead
to a nuclear stand off with world powers. With what seems to be the Ayatollah s blessing, President
Rouhani has so far shown promise to ease the country s relations and assume a solution on the nuclear
issue. For Washington, meanwhile, the election offered stark confirmation that its strategy is working,
at least to a point. The outcome confirmed that political will for a nuclear deal exists within the
Islamic Republic. In other words, the path out of isolation and economic crisis is perilous, but Iran s
new president, who has sometimes been dubbed the sheikh of diplomacy, may just be the right man at
the right moment to walk it. (Maloney, 2013)
If President Rouhani can bring his country out of sanctions, resume oil exports and trade, they can
become a functioning country again. Although, there is a slim chance that Iran doesn t continue to
support terrorist organizations and continue nuclear enrichment in some capacity. As long as President
Rouhani remains president, it is expected that he will do as much as possible to continue to further his
country and bring them out of isolation with the world and specifically the west.

Analysis Of J. Cole s The Album 2014 Forest Hill Drive...
J. Cole released his album 2014 Forest Hill Drive on December 9, 2014 without any features, media
marketing, or promotions (Berry). This album became significant within the music industry because of
how far it strays from the lyrical composition of popular rap artists of today. Majority of rap artists in
the 2000 s rely heavily on commercial producers and multiple artist features to promote the popularity
of their album. Rappers often do not stray far from crude, sexual and misogynistic lyrics just to gain
fame and cash flow for their label. As a hip hop artist, J. Cole manages to gain more success than any
rap album with no features. J. Cole writes an honest, and nostalgic album that speaks further into his
thoughts on current social issues and his personal life story. He shines a light on his insecurities and
gets his audience to feel a special connection with him as an artist. J. Cole managed to create the only
album in rap and hip hop history to go platinum without any features while transcending development
of pop culture within the rap industry. Hip Hop developed as an urban underground movement during
the 1970 s in South Bronx, New York and when this subculture first surfaced, the terms hip hop and
rap music were used interchangeably (Ralph). Since the beginning of the genres, majority of music
enthusiasts felt more connected to rap, and it gained commercial popularity more rapidly. Hip hop
remained underground, and artists like J. Cole were hardly recognized by

Feminism As A Black Woman
Feminism means something different to every woman. What feminism means to Beyoncé may be
different from what it means to Bell Hooks. In Feminism is for Everybody, Hooks defines feminism
as, a movement to end sexism, sexist exploitation, and oppression. Beyoncé s feminism may be
personal to her but the narratives she depicts in Lemonade resonate with her fans. Through the lenses
of Hooks, I will examine the lyrics and images of Beyoncé s Lemonade by comparing their views on
marriage, political liberation, and double standards. Many women are empowered by the words of
Bell Hooks. They can also be empowered by Beyoncé s lyrics because they affirm and support what
their lives have been like. Beyoncé uncovers the diversity of black women through history in her
video. Visual images of slaves, mothers, young women, and working women combating struggles of
being a black woman. In Don t Hurt Yourself, a speech by Malcolm X is inserted where he said, The
most neglected person in America is the black woman. Similarly, Hooks wrote about the dismissal of
black women in the feminist movement, the utopian vision of sisterhood evoked in a feminist
movement that initially did not take racial difference or anti racist struggle seriously. This comparison
suggests that both Hooks and Beyoncé aim to improve the representation and political liberation of
black women by making their narratives heard. Additionally, Hooks writes about political liberation as
a form of men breaking ties

What Is John Bowlby Attachment Theory
Attachment theory. In 1958, John Bowlby proposed the idea of attachment theory (McLeod, 2009).
This theory identifies the infant s need to seek closeness and proximity with the caregiver when he/she
feels scared or threatened. The caregiver provides safety and security. The caregiver and infant s
relationship form four possible attachment styles: secure, avoidant, ambivalent/anxious, and
disorganized (McLeod, 2009). Secure attachment occurs when the caregiver meets the child s needs.
The child feels safe and secure. In contrast, avoidant attachment occurs when the caregiver is
emotionally avoidant, insensitive, and unaware of the child s needs. In this case, the child learns to
care for himself/herself. Avoidant attachment children become independent

What Are The Rhetorical Devices Used In Malcolm X s Last...
In both Martin Luther King Jr. s Letter from Birmingham Jail and Malcolm X s The Last Speech both
the speakers used rhetorical elements in these speeches to make fully pass their message to their
audiences and make themselves credible leaders in the fight for equal rights in America; mean while
gaining numerous amounts of followers by making emotional connections with the people to help
them along their journey. Malcolm X presented his last speech named The Last Speech on February
14, 1965 right after his house had been firebombed with his whole family inside of the house sleeping,

Martin Luther King Jr. was not one to promote violence ever he thought there were ways around it and
he spoke of those in all of his messages but in his Letter from Birmingham Jail he uses ethos when he
says One may well ask: How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others? The answer
lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. (Martin Luther King Jr. Letter from
Birmingham Jail ) here he is proving that he is credible and that their is reasoning behind all he is
saying and that he being the intelligent man he was knew the difference between what was just and
unjust. When Dr. King said We have waited for more than 340 years for our constitutional and God

Competition in the Golf Industry
An Analysis of Competition in the Golf Industry
It is unknown when the game of golf originated, but it is believed that people began playing in Europe
during the middle ages. In the United States, golf was a sport primarily played by the wealthy
individuals until tournaments began being televised. Since then, golf has grown to be a very lucrative
industry with over 27 million golfers nationwide by the end of the 1990 s. Competition in the Golf
Equipment Industry, a case study written by John E. Gamble of the University of South Alabama, is an
overview of the problems currently facing major companies in the golf equipment industry:
technological limitations (due to golf s governing organizations), a decline in the number of golfers, ...
Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The state of the current economy paired with the decline in the number of golfers, has caused
companies to focus more on price and volume. Counterfeiting is largely attributable to the decisions
by executives to outsource for cheaper labor to manufacturers in China; who can produce a golf club
for less than $3 per club.
Recommendations
Companies currently operating within the golf industry, specifically Calloway Golf, must change their
current marketing approaches and strategies to withstand the recession and threats facing the industry.
Although Calloway has a strong R D department that tends to remain competitive with products and
technology, there have been little results in reference to scores. It is imperative that if companies are
going to market a product that will help golfers drive further and straighter that the results depict this
so that not to damage the brand name of a product. Secondly, due to the decline in equipment sales
and the number of golfers, prices are dropping and companies are outsourcing to maintain the volume
needed to remain competitive. Companies must be cautious and aware so that counterfeiting may be
reduced. This reduction would also allow companies to reduce their pricing and have more sales
without the competition of these cheaply priced knock offs. In the instance of

Bridge To Terebithia Essay
Bridge to Terabithia is a novel featuring two young characters, Jess and Leslie. These characters both
experience realistic problems that many kids their age face every day. Jess has a different personality
and imagination than others, which gets him bullied at school. Leslie gets neglected at home, and she s
the new girl at school. Leslie uses her imagination to come up with a funny prank to get back at the
school bully.
Bridge to Terabithia includes many positive elements. One thing is when Jess helps Leslie by
becoming her friend. Then, Leslie helps Jess when he has anger problems and she calms him down.
There are also some negative elements. One of these is that Jess is treated poorly by his family.
Another is that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

In Lark Creek, Virginia a boy named Jess is getting ready for a big race on Friday. Jess is very
responsible. Jess doesn t really have a great relationship with his family. His father doesn t really
support him or pay attention to him. Jess always says if he wins this race on Friday even his dad
would be proud of him. Jess has anger issues. However, one thing can change that. One day Jess s
neighbors were moving and what Jess didn t know was that the person who was going to move in was
going to change his life.
One day when Jess was milking the cow his dad came home from Washington. Jess s dad has a perfect
relationship with his sisters. That day Jess met a girl named Leslie. Leslie wasn t your every day girl.
She wore cut up shorts and a big t shirt; you could call her a tomboy. It was the day of the big race, the
day he was waiting to show how fast he was, but there was one problem. That one problem was
Leslie. Leslie was the person who won the race. Leslie wanted to race so Jess let her. Jess didn t know
it was going to be a problem, but he was wrong. Leslie won against all the boys every Friday, so they
stopped racing.

Comparative Analysis Of Bitch Planet And Barbie Doll
Comparative Analysis
In both Bitch Planet and Barbie Doll , the authors aimed to exemplify the unrealistic body image that
women are facing. Bitch Planet is about a futurist world where larger women are shamed for being
larger rather than stick thin like the women in the advertisements and media. The writer uses a comic
format and futuristic setting to display a setting that feels realistic. In Barbie Doll it talks about a girl
who is made fun of for her small differences in physical appearance, even though she was perfectly
healthy and normal. They each show how the body images set by men and other women effect how
they feel about their own bodies. They each follow similar topics however; they have different
techniques as well as time frames for conveying them.
Both Bitch Planet and Barbie Doll focus on body shaming of women. Bitch Planet is set in a futuristic
world there the women have fathers who control their life. The main character was overweight and
was taken away from her mother so that she wouldn t be influence which only heightened the rage.
Similarly, Barbie Doll is based on a girl who does the normal girly things and is perfectly health but
she is made fun of for having a great big nose and fat legs (Piercy 348). She goes through her whole
life being critiqued on the smallest things that have nothing to do with the person she really is. They
both focus on how women are shamed for their body by society and the people around them. For each

Essay on Walker s Message of Personal Heritage in...
Alice Walker s Everyday Use is a short story about a mother and two very different daughters set in
rural Georgia during the late 1960 s. The plot is centered around on the two daughters, Dee and
Maggie, and focusing on the differences between the two and who will gain possession of two hand
made quilts that are seen as a coveted trophy by Dee and are viewed as everyday items Maggie. The
final decision of which daughter ultimately receives the quilts will be made by Momma Johnson.
Momma, who is never given a first name in the story, is a strong black woman with many man like
qualities. In real life I am a large, big boned woman with rough, man working hands. In the winter I
wear flannel nightgowns to bed and overalls during the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I will be focusing this paper on the reasons why Maggie should be given the quilts, reasons why Dee
should not be allowed to take them, and what this tell us about Alice Walker s sense of what it means
to be in touch with one s heritage. Maggie deserves the quilts because she appreciates the practical
value of the items and would naturally use them as they were intended. Like her grandmother, Maggie
is a person who values the quilts more as a practical solution for staying warm at night than as folk art
which should be displayed in a museum. Dee s thoughts of her simple minded sister come into full
light during a conversation with Momma when her request for the quilts is denied. Maggie can t
appreciate these quilts! She d probably be backward enough to put them the everyday use. I reckon
she would, Momma replied, God knows I been saving em long enough with nobody using em. I hope
she will. (DiYanni 748) With little or no money during tough times, poorer families have often had to
be more self reliant where learning to sew was a skill that was valued and passed down to the younger
generation. Maggie embraced this skill while her more ambitious sister did not see the value in
learning such an ordinary task. She can always make more, Momma said, Maggie knows how to

Socratic Seminar Questions
Socratic Seminar Questions 1. Both books can be considered coming of age subject matter. How do
Elie and Liesel change? Both Elie and Liesel change throughout their respective books. In Night, Elie
begins as a Jewish youth, almost thirteen, who wants to study the Kabbalah and delve into the secrets
of mysticism. As his life progresses, he witnesses the ugly side of human nature. He loses his faith in
God, for His mercy is nowhere to be found. On the other hand, in the beginning of The Book Thief,
Liesel, a girl not even ten years of age, is placed in a foster home after being traumatized by the death
of her brother. There, she experiences love and loss, joy and pain. She discovers the power of words,
and how, just like life, they are both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Night, People are starving, and many will do anything it takes to abate their hunger, to survive.
Once, Elie witnessed a son killing his father for some bread. In The Book Thief, food is scarce, and
although its absence does not lead Liesel anywhere close to killing, it does cause her to steal. On the
other hand, food can also be shared. Elie gives up his rations for his father even though he will
probably die, and Liesel s family shares the little food they have with Max despite the fact that they
are already taking a huge risk by simply hiding him in their home. 4. Is there a different attitude
toward children in both books versus the children of today? Discuss the role that youth play in each.
There is a completely different attitude towards children today, especially due to technology and the
altered perspective of the world. In Night, the horrors done to the Jewish are exponentially worse
when done to the youth. Infants are burned alive, an angelic child is hanged, and Elie himself is
merely a teenager when he is forced into a concentration camp. Forced to endure such hardships at
such a young age, he is left traumatized. In The Book Thief, Liesel, in her youth, sees the world
differently from adults. She steals, fights, and loves. As a child, she is passionate and filled with
adrenaline. 5. Examine the role of music in both Night and The Book Thief. What does music

pathway that the runaway slave took was very secret. They would know when to go out to the railroad

Step B: Describe the zinc and acid reaction.
As placing a small piece of Zn(mossy zinc) metal into the test tube containing the diluted
HCI(Hydrochloric Acid) solution, gas bubbles rose from the solution slowly at the beginning and
vigorously in process of time. As this reaction continued for a long time, transparent solution turned
into white opaque color and black precipitates were formed and floated.
Step G: Record your observations with the flame and the hydrogen gas.
When gently squeezing a small portion of the hydrogen gas into the flame, the flame showed small

Step F: Observe and record the reaction results with the limewater.
The lime water turned into white opaque color, and gas bubbles and white precipitate was formed, as
placed the open end of the gas delivery tube(reaction between Alka Seltzer tablet + water) into the
limewater.
Part 4
Step C: Record your observations of your breath with the limewater.
As I blow gently into the limewater with a straw, the limewater turned into opaque white color.
Conclusion:
The purpose of this experiment is to investigate some physical and chemical properties of gases and to
use these properties to identify these gases when they are encountered.
I could learn how to identity Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, and hydrogen and oxygen mixture
when they are present through this experiment. Before conducting this experiment, I should know the
combustion chemical reaction first to predict right results. The most interesting thing was the
experiment for gases of hydrogen and oxygen mixture. Through the reaction between hydrogen and
oxygen, H2O is produced. H2O is water as we know. So I just expected that flame would blow out
due to the water vapor. But it was wrong. The flame grew bigger with a pop and a flash.
To reduce error for this experiment, it was crucial to collect right amounts of gases from the reaction
and handle it quickly for the next step due to properties of gases.

This includes the proclamation and interpretation of Scripture followed by a common meal. Although
Jesus did not directly reveal himself to them, Cleopus and the other disciple recognized Jesus in the
breaking of the bread. This is knowledge only God gives.
Peter also came to understand the Pascal Reality through the revelation of the Holy Spirit. Peter s
confession of Christ at Caesurae Philippi ( Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not
revealed to you by humans, but by my Father in Heaven Matt. 16: 16 17) exposed the human intellect

Jesus instruction to the twelve disciples, Take up your cross and follow me , further reveals how
extemporal realities like the cross guided Jesus actions throughout his earthly ministry. The cross

The Importance Of Animal Rights
Have you ever considered the rights of animals? Do they have any rights?.According to an article
called Animal Rights it is proven that if animals had rights there wouldn t be no experiments on
animals, no breeding and killing of animals for food however, all of these examples are sadly used
today that provides evidence to prove that animals do not have rights. To emphasise that animals do
not have rights, it is also proven in the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with animals
such as Crookshanks and Buckbeak that do not have animal rights due to the facts that both animals
are misjudged and automatically assumed guilty when something wrong occurs or when an accusation
is made and both are treated with no respect. Crookshanks and Buckbeak do not have rights as a result
of the two being misjudged and automatically assumed guilty when something goes wrong, unable to
defend themselves they are treated with a punishment or treated unjustly after the accusation is made.
For example in the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Buckbeak is taken to a lesson with

Great Plain Buffalo Impact
In the 16th Century, North America was swarming with a surplus of buffalo that grew to be about 25
30 million of these wild beasts roaming the Great Plains although, that all quickly changed by the late
1900s when only hundreds were left standing in the United States.(Scott 1) The largest contributing
factor to the extermination of the Great Plain buffalo was the advancement of civilization along with
all of its elements of destructiveness to nature and man s own selfish concern with expansion and
economical gain while overrunning the buffaloes home and gradually sweeping these creatures away.
The United States government s inexcusable role in failing to provide the necessary adequate
protective measures to preserve the american bison ultimately spawned many severe consequences
that worsened the situation of the buffalo. The National Government and the western states nor
territories did not stop mans reckless greed for wealth and power over the buffalo and of the native
americans. The home of the buffalo was slowly becoming over run by man with firepower. ... Show

Reaction Paper On Diuretics
1.INTRODUCTION A Diuretic is any substance that promotes the production of urine. This includes
forced diuresis. There are several categories of diuretics. All diuretics increase the excretion of water
from bodies, although each class does so in a distinct way. Alternatively, an antidiuretic such as
vasopressin, or antidiuretic hormone, is an agent or drug which reduces the excretion of water in
urine.Diuretics increase the rate of urine flow and sodium excretion and are used to adjust the volume
and/or composition of body fluids in a variety of clinical situations, including hypertension, heart
failure, renal failure, nephrotic syndrome, and cirrhosis. By definition, diuretics are drugs that increase
the rate of urine flow; however, clinically useful diuretics also increase the rate of excretion of Na+
(natriuresis) and of an accompanying anion, usually Cl . NaCl in the body is the major determinant of
extracellular fluid volume, and most clinical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Consequently, the use of diuretics as antihypertensive agents has been relatively reduced, particularly
since the newer drugs are associated with fewer adverse metabolic reactions. However, diuretics have
a specific activity of removing sodium from the body fluid, thereby rendering the blood pressure
insensitive to sodium intake, relieving the overload to systemic circulation, and normalizing the

Symptoms And Treatment Of A Pressure Ulcer
A pressure ulcer is defined as a localized injury to the skin and/or underlying tissue, usually over a
bony prominence, as a result of pressure, or pressure in combination with shear, according to the
National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, abbreviated NPAUP (2007). NPUAP (2007) redefined the
definition and classification of a pressure ulcer in 2007. As a result of the modification, stages I IV, the
four original stages, underwent alterations to their existing classifications and definitions. In addition,
two stages, deep tissue injury and unstageable resulted. Through an explanation and description of the
development of a pressure ulcer and the stages, the anatomy is shown. For a pressure ulcer to develop,
damage to the lining of blood and lymphatic vessels, or endothelial damage occur over a bony
prominence as the result of several processes such as a disrupting and shearing force (Gillick Sheerin,
2004, p. 34). Once a pressure ulcer begins to develop, deep tissue damage gradually rises to shallower
tissues. According to Gillick and Sheerin (2004), the extent of damage caused by a pressure ulcer is
related to the pressure and repeated pressure applications and the length of time that a body part is
exposed to pressure (p. 34). Therefore, locally reduce blood flow, which could cause complications if
the endothelium is impaired, and locally reduce oxygen levels and increase carbon dioxide levels are a
direct result of irregular pressure. When the pressure is relived,

Essay On Embryonic Stem Cell Research
Depending on who is asked, embryonic stem cell research, one of the most controversial topics of all
time, can be viewed as either a positive or negative step to a better tomorrow. A great quantity of
people believe that using the embryos of unborn babies can prevent the next
Albert Einstein from being born, so they are one hundred percent against embryonic stem cell
research. However, by researching embryonic stem cells, scientists can study normal human
development, create new drugs and medicines, and replace damaged or destroyed cells.
Therefore, it should be strongly encouraged to continue embryonic stem cell research because it will
pave the path for a better tomorrow.

Analyze The Impact Of Terrorism On American Culture
Throughout the world, terrorism affects cultures in a myriad of ways. The United States Department
of Defense defines terrorism as, the calculated use of violence or the threat of violence to inculcate
fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are
generally political, religious, or ideological (DOD). Terrorism has emerged in the last ten years as one
of the most crucial issues governments attempt to tackle. Many movies and documents can help
people better understand the major strain of terrorism. As seen by the effects of the September
eleventh attacks on American security, tourism and economy, the Taliban, and Somali piracy, terrorism
has had an utmost impact on the world. September eleventh, 2001 was a tragic day for not only the
people of New York, but around the world. These attacks would shape America s security, tourist
industry, and the economy. The most immediate change was airport security, which is fully visible to
this day ( Doc. 1). Congress federalized airport security by passing the Aviation and Transportation
Act, and created the Transportation Security Association, commonly known as TSA. Airports around

Slumdog Millionaire came out at the end of 2008, people instantly fell in love with it. In 2009 it was
nominated for ten Academy Awards and won eight, which was the most won by any film that year.
Everyone seemed to be very drawn to the feel good aspect of the movie where a poor kid like Jamal,
the main character of Boyle s film, can overcome the massive obstacles thrown in front of his path to
success and eventually come out with the girl, 100 million Rupees and the love of the nation where he

The use of this coined and somewhat derogatory term only helps in supporting the sense of western

organization serving all principals, assistant principals and other educational leaders across the
commonwealth. Starting in 1936, the association functioned as two separate entities, the Pennsylvania
Association of Elementary School Principals and the Pennsylvania Association of Secondary School

possibility of joining the two into one organization to increase efficiency in day to day operations. In
July of 2003, the merging of both associations took effect as well as operations under their new name,
the Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals (PAESSP). Most
recently, the association changed its name to the Pennsylvania Principals Association in September of

Essay on Contemplating Sartre s No Exit
Contemplating Sartre s No Exit
In No Exit, Sartre provides a compelling answer to the problem of other minds through the medium of
drama. He puts two women (Inez and Estelle) in one hotel room with one man (Garcin) for all of
eternity. This is his concept of hell, and he makes this point in one of the last few lines of the play:
Hell is other people! There are no torture racks or red hot pitchforks in hell because they re after an
economy of man power or devil power if you prefer. Each person is there (in hell) for a specific
reason: Garcin because he cheated on and tormented his wife, Estelle because she killed her own child
and her lover, then committed suicide, and Inez because she tormented (female) lover until that ...

It is important to note that Garcin s main fear in life was the fear of being cowardly, and this motivated
the majority of his actions, e.g. most of his actions were preformed to demonstrate to himself and
others that he is/was manly ; for instance, his conquests of multiple women, his domination and
degradation of his wife, and the way he courted danger at every turn. However, he performed a
cowardly action (fled the country when war broke out) which, when he was caught, led to a cowardly
death which he defines as merely a physical lapse.
Additionally, Estelle finds another way to seek approval: she needs Garcin s approval (as the only man
there) to establish her superiority over Estelle as an object of desire, by comparison with Inez, the
lesbian.
Finally, Inez does the same thing, although in a different form, as Estelle and Garcin. She seeks
approval over Estelle as a strong, dominant, hones woman, as compared to Estelle, who is a weak,
subservient, dishonest woman. Although Inez criticizes Estelle for having a male dominated
personality (which since Inez is a lesbian, she does not), Inez does not realize that she herself has an
other dominated personality.
No Exit also does a fine job of expressing Sartre s idea of negation in his philosophy of existentialism.
Each person negate the person who is attracted to her through the process of denying that person.
However, each person also negates the person whom the

When athletes experience a head injury a medical professional is required to sign off before the athlete
may renter the game. The Centers for Disease control has estimated that over 300,000 athletes

Studies have shown that there is a higher risk of experiencing another concussion and loosing
consciousness after experiencing a previous head trauma. To be more precise athletes are 9 times more
likely to to demonstrate a loss of consciousness after a pervious injury. After experiencing a trauma to
the head everyone is more likely to experience it again but, girls and women suffer from higher
concussion rates than boys an men due to females having smaller and less muscular head and necks
leaving them more vulnerable to experience a concussion. Protective gear has been developed to help

Cultures are kind of like a family tree. You can be part of other cultures, but you will always have a

not your 100% main blood, they are what I would consider sub cultures. Your mother and father
would be conisderd your main culture, because they are the people who made you, not only that they
shaped your culture and beliefs. This is only a sample of what I am discussing, in English class we

that some go the extra distance to protect.

Shakespeare plays carry a lot of references to how things were in his time. The characters, the plot, the
settings, the play as a whole played a great role in showcasing the society of that day it s culture and
traditions. Those traditions and culture are weird or odd to people in some regions nowadays.
However, some other cultures feel quite close to the traditions and customs in other regions. The Arab
world is famous for holding on to it s traditions and customs. The Arab culture affects all the
individuals living in it, even the non Arabs. Even individuals from different religions or family
backgrounds living in one community in the Arab World can also share the same traditions and
cultures. This paper will talk about the traditions, customs and culture of the Arab World mainly the
Gulf Arab, Kuwait and how it is related to the themes and events of some of Shakespeare s plays The
plays that will be discussed are two tragedies and one comedy. First will be Macbeth, and the second
one will be Coriolanus and the last one is The Winter s Tale. Each Play had a set of different themes.
The two tragedies might have some things in common though because in tragedies there usually is the

Biblical Inspiration Howard Marshall
This book review is from the readings of Biblical Inspiration by Howard Marshall. The book is
published by Regent College Publishing located in Vancouver, and British Columbia published the
book in 2004. The book is braces around the interpretation of the Bible, and the inspiration of the
Bible in our lives of today. There are many questions that are brought up the book, and these include:
Is the Bible infallible? How do we interpret the Bible today? is its inspiration believable in and
biblical criticism believable? All of the different opinions on biblical issues equivalent to these bring
up issues and questioning within the community. It is Marshall s goal to try and produce a statement
that is concrete of what the Bible says in our lives today. Biblical Inspiration has five different key
components. The first components is Marshall talking about how God exposes himself to society.
Marshall wanted to make it obvious that this controversy is based for of his readers, and these readers
have some kind of belief in God, and the realness of him. After this Marshall starts to talks about the
question that is raised. This question is is God reveals himself in different ways, and can one of these
ways be in the Bible? Marshall made it apparent that he believed God revealed himself quite
obviously in the Bible, and was a very important tool for God to reveal himself to us. Marshall
confirmed this when he said, Christians do experience such moments of revelation as

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Virtual Teams
Do virtual teams experience the stages of development?
When Bruce Tuckman presented his initial theory for group development in 1965, he couldn t have
possibly imagined a world dotted with virtual teams. Tuckman s framework for evaluating teamwork
using the stages of forming, storming, norming and performing was created after a study of a variety
of face to face teams. As a testimony to his work, it is generally accepted that Tuckman s premise
about groups experiencing definitive stages toward formation, also applies to groups of people who
don t share physical space and span time zones. There is some thought that the storming stage is
integrated into the other stages or skipped entirely. (Berry, 2011). The lack of defined storming might
be due to virtual teams having more of a task versus personality orientation and having a well defined
communication plan also serving as a proactive conflict management measure.
Also, there is a shared opinion that well planned formation activities are critically important for a
virtual team. At the top of the list is training on the technology and related communication systems to
be used. (Berry, 2011).
The importance of trust in any team
There is agreement across the board of teamwork experts on the importance of trust in a team setting.

An Experiential Approach For Organization Development
As I reflected on the course studies and what I have learned in taking this course. I came to a
conclusion that a lot of the information from the chapters will come very useful to my personal and
professional life. I decided to summarize on some of the concepts that I learned in the chapters in the
book An experiential approach to organization development . The concepts or theories that caught my
attention that I felt that I can relate to are the model of organizational development, changing the
culture, overcoming the resistance to change, goal setting theory and employee empowerment. All of
the chapters in the book can be incorporated into my professional life, and I feel that any organization
will benefit from reading this book. Model for organizational development is a continuing process of
long term organizational improvement that consists of several stages this model emphasizes on a
combination of individual, team and organizational relationships. The first phase is anticipated need
for change which states that before a change can be done there has to be a need. The manager of the
organization must feel that there is a need to change and he must adopt new ways for a change to be
productive. The second stage is developing the practitioner client relationship which means that after
the group has identified a need for change the organizational development practitioner enters the
system and a relationship begins to grow between the practitioner and the client system.

Neutral Bathrooms In Schools
In my junior AP Class, my teacher assigned us a project in which we would come up with an idea that
would improve the quality of our school, and then create a proposal that we would take to the school
board in hopes of getting it actually implemented into the high school. My group was made up of
roughly six other students, and we were working towards adding gender neutral bathrooms to the
school. The idea was mine, and was mine because it s an issue that affects me and many of my friends.
I am transgender, I identify as nonbinary, as neither a boy nor a girl. Having to choose between two

thought that if a person was truly transgender, then they should be able to use their gender s bathroom

This reading has introduced me to various factors in architecture regarding what it represents and
should be in society through Louis Sullivan s words.
A Terminal Station: The Masculine Implies forceful, direct, clear and straightforward,
The Feminine Implies intuitive sympathy, suavity, grace, and qualities of soothe, elevate, and refined.
Should be easy to get in and out (efficiency)
Outward aspect of the style takes on the ambulance of architecture.
I agree, a terminal station should be able to tell us what it is and from the outside, where are the
entrances, exists, etc... This is a public figure and needs to be clear.
The Key:
Each building s external aspect represents character and it s up to us to ... Show more content on

However, the value of the building is based on subjective value and Dollar value. Sullivan
recommends that both come into play. Human nature determines the subjective value, which is more
permanent, but money value is inseparable from the affairs of life.
Roman temple:
Sullivan talked about how roman temples are place in great modern cities, at the same time having a
strenuous sight, sound, that remind the people of their god. Such a holy precinct shall be doubly
sacred to us in our reverence for this union of old and new.
An example of how a building can be highly subjective, take for example a bank. Just as we discussed
in class, a Bank wants their building to seem powerful with strong values.
Sullivan disagrees that banks in America should not resemble a Roman Temple. He believes that it
should belong to ancient romans and that banks can make as much money in any kind of bank. Thus
no need for imitations.
It was a part of Roman life and their culture, and that goes along with the Roman glory, thus building
temples all over resemble a roman death.
Taste:
It expresses a familiarity with current persons of the culture, or trends.
When an architect loses trust from the people at large, this is called weak taste.
I always consider taste as what the market demands, for example having garages in suburban houses
because of the demand for car and storage area.

Pascal s Wager Argument
A common argument used to disprove the existence of God is Pascal s Wager. This argument states
that it is more rational to believe in God as you will be rewarded. If God existed, and the person
believed in God, he would be rewarded. If the person did not believe, he would be punished .If God
did not exist it would make no difference. For this reason it would be more rational to believe in God
rather than to not. Pascals Wager was defined by seventeenth century Philosopher Blaise Pascal. The
argument can be standardised as follows:
P1. Either God exists or God does not Exists.
P2. If God exists and I believe, I gain a great deal (Heaven).
P3. If God exists and I don t believe I lose a lot (hell).
P4. If God does not exist and I believe, I lose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is also an assumption that practising Christians will be rewarded with bountiful, happy, healthy
and fulfilling lives which fails to acknowledge the many Christians in this world who suffer in
poverty, starvation and chronic disease .In Pascal s Wager, Blaise Pascal was arguing from ignorance.
He is arguing the claim that God is sufficient for salvation which is a claim that he has not justified
with evidence. Therefore using the belief of God as a way to gain a bountiful life and then salvation is
a weakness as Pascal s argument which cannot be substantiated with proof of whether or not God does

  • 2. Iran And The Iranian Hostage Crisis In 1979, the Iranian hostage crisis would occur; this event would damage and sever ties between Iran and the United States for years to come. Over the years, Iran would have hard line leaders that would only further isolate themselves from western powers and more specifically the US. It would be another 30 plus years before Iran would seek out the US and have a conversation between the two countries; leading to what might be a possible change in policy for a country that has been isolated from the international stage. Iran s presidential election in June 2013 was won by Hassan Rouhani and led to him taking over for the hard liner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. President Rouhani has been known to cooperate with the West, specifically when he was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Former President Ahmadinejad set Iran back years by putting Iran into extreme isolation from the international community. His continued badgering with the international community, eventually lead to a nuclear stand off with world powers. With what seems to be the Ayatollah s blessing, President Rouhani has so far shown promise to ease the country s relations and assume a solution on the nuclear issue. For Washington, meanwhile, the election offered stark confirmation that its strategy is working, at least to a point. The outcome confirmed that political will for a nuclear deal exists within the Islamic Republic. In other words, the path out of isolation and economic crisis is perilous, but Iran s new president, who has sometimes been dubbed the sheikh of diplomacy, may just be the right man at the right moment to walk it. (Maloney, 2013) If President Rouhani can bring his country out of sanctions, resume oil exports and trade, they can become a functioning country again. Although, there is a slim chance that Iran doesn t continue to support terrorist organizations and continue nuclear enrichment in some capacity. As long as President Rouhani remains president, it is expected that he will do as much as possible to continue to further his country and bring them out of isolation with the world and specifically the west. The following event ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Analysis Of J. Cole s The Album 2014 Forest Hill Drive... J. Cole released his album 2014 Forest Hill Drive on December 9, 2014 without any features, media marketing, or promotions (Berry). This album became significant within the music industry because of how far it strays from the lyrical composition of popular rap artists of today. Majority of rap artists in the 2000 s rely heavily on commercial producers and multiple artist features to promote the popularity of their album. Rappers often do not stray far from crude, sexual and misogynistic lyrics just to gain fame and cash flow for their label. As a hip hop artist, J. Cole manages to gain more success than any rap album with no features. J. Cole writes an honest, and nostalgic album that speaks further into his thoughts on current social issues and his personal life story. He shines a light on his insecurities and gets his audience to feel a special connection with him as an artist. J. Cole managed to create the only album in rap and hip hop history to go platinum without any features while transcending development of pop culture within the rap industry. Hip Hop developed as an urban underground movement during the 1970 s in South Bronx, New York and when this subculture first surfaced, the terms hip hop and rap music were used interchangeably (Ralph). Since the beginning of the genres, majority of music enthusiasts felt more connected to rap, and it gained commercial popularity more rapidly. Hip hop remained underground, and artists like J. Cole were hardly recognized by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Feminism As A Black Woman Feminism means something different to every woman. What feminism means to Beyoncé may be different from what it means to Bell Hooks. In Feminism is for Everybody, Hooks defines feminism as, a movement to end sexism, sexist exploitation, and oppression. Beyoncé s feminism may be personal to her but the narratives she depicts in Lemonade resonate with her fans. Through the lenses of Hooks, I will examine the lyrics and images of Beyoncé s Lemonade by comparing their views on marriage, political liberation, and double standards. Many women are empowered by the words of Bell Hooks. They can also be empowered by Beyoncé s lyrics because they affirm and support what their lives have been like. Beyoncé uncovers the diversity of black women through history in her video. Visual images of slaves, mothers, young women, and working women combating struggles of being a black woman. In Don t Hurt Yourself, a speech by Malcolm X is inserted where he said, The most neglected person in America is the black woman. Similarly, Hooks wrote about the dismissal of black women in the feminist movement, the utopian vision of sisterhood evoked in a feminist movement that initially did not take racial difference or anti racist struggle seriously. This comparison suggests that both Hooks and Beyoncé aim to improve the representation and political liberation of black women by making their narratives heard. Additionally, Hooks writes about political liberation as a form of men breaking ties ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. What Is John Bowlby Attachment Theory Attachment theory. In 1958, John Bowlby proposed the idea of attachment theory (McLeod, 2009). This theory identifies the infant s need to seek closeness and proximity with the caregiver when he/she feels scared or threatened. The caregiver provides safety and security. The caregiver and infant s relationship form four possible attachment styles: secure, avoidant, ambivalent/anxious, and disorganized (McLeod, 2009). Secure attachment occurs when the caregiver meets the child s needs. The child feels safe and secure. In contrast, avoidant attachment occurs when the caregiver is emotionally avoidant, insensitive, and unaware of the child s needs. In this case, the child learns to care for himself/herself. Avoidant attachment children become independent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. What Are The Rhetorical Devices Used In Malcolm X s Last... In both Martin Luther King Jr. s Letter from Birmingham Jail and Malcolm X s The Last Speech both the speakers used rhetorical elements in these speeches to make fully pass their message to their audiences and make themselves credible leaders in the fight for equal rights in America; mean while gaining numerous amounts of followers by making emotional connections with the people to help them along their journey. Malcolm X presented his last speech named The Last Speech on February 14, 1965 right after his house had been firebombed with his whole family inside of the house sleeping, luckily they all made it out safely but he started his speech off by stating that he was genuinely sorry about his appearance and he did not mean to be disrespectful ... The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. • 7. Competition in the Golf Industry An Analysis of Competition in the Golf Industry It is unknown when the game of golf originated, but it is believed that people began playing in Europe during the middle ages. In the United States, golf was a sport primarily played by the wealthy individuals until tournaments began being televised. Since then, golf has grown to be a very lucrative industry with over 27 million golfers nationwide by the end of the 1990 s. Competition in the Golf Equipment Industry, a case study written by John E. Gamble of the University of South Alabama, is an overview of the problems currently facing major companies in the golf equipment industry: technological limitations (due to golf s governing organizations), a decline in the number of golfers, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The state of the current economy paired with the decline in the number of golfers, has caused companies to focus more on price and volume. Counterfeiting is largely attributable to the decisions by executives to outsource for cheaper labor to manufacturers in China; who can produce a golf club for less than $3 per club. Recommendations Companies currently operating within the golf industry, specifically Calloway Golf, must change their current marketing approaches and strategies to withstand the recession and threats facing the industry. Although Calloway has a strong R D department that tends to remain competitive with products and technology, there have been little results in reference to scores. It is imperative that if companies are going to market a product that will help golfers drive further and straighter that the results depict this so that not to damage the brand name of a product. Secondly, due to the decline in equipment sales and the number of golfers, prices are dropping and companies are outsourcing to maintain the volume needed to remain competitive. Companies must be cautious and aware so that counterfeiting may be reduced. This reduction would also allow companies to reduce their pricing and have more sales without the competition of these cheaply priced knock offs. In the instance of ... Comparative Analysis Of Bitch Planet And Barbie Doll Comparative Analysis In both Bitch Planet and Barbie Doll , the authors aimed to exemplify the unrealistic body image that women are facing. Bitch Planet is about a futurist world where larger women are shamed for being larger rather than stick thin like the women in the advertisements and media. The writer uses a comic format and futuristic setting to display a setting that feels realistic. In Barbie Doll it talks about a girl who is made fun of for her small differences in physical appearance, even though she was perfectly healthy and normal. They each show how the body images set by men and other women effect how they feel about their own bodies. They each follow similar topics however; they have different techniques as well as time frames for conveying them. Both Bitch Planet and Barbie Doll focus on body shaming of women. Bitch Planet is set in a futuristic world there the women have fathers who control their life. The main character was overweight and was taken away from her mother so that she wouldn t be influence which only heightened the rage. I will be focusing this paper on the reasons why Maggie should be given the quilts, reasons why Dee should not be allowed to take them, and what this tell us about Alice Walker s sense of what it means to be in touch with one s heritage. Like her grandmother, Maggie is a person who values the quilts more as a practical solution for staying warm at night than as folk art which should be displayed in a museum. Dee s thoughts of her simple minded sister come into full light during a conversation with Momma when her request for the quilts is denied. Maggie can t appreciate these quilts! There is a completely different attitude towards children today, especially due to technology and the altered perspective of the world. In Night, the horrors done to the Jewish are exponentially worse when done to the youth. Infants are burned alive, an angelic child is hanged, and Elie himself is merely a teenager when he is forced into a concentration camp. All diuretics increase the excretion of water from bodies, although each class does so in a distinct way. Alternatively, an antidiuretic such as vasopressin, or antidiuretic hormone, is an agent or drug which reduces the excretion of water in urine.Diuretics increase the rate of urine flow and sodium excretion and are used to adjust the volume and/or composition of body fluids in a variety of clinical situations, including hypertension, heart failure, renal failure, nephrotic syndrome, and cirrhosis. Symptoms And Treatment Of A Pressure Ulcer A pressure ulcer is defined as a localized injury to the skin and/or underlying tissue, usually over a bony prominence, as a result of pressure, or pressure in combination with shear, according to the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, abbreviated NPAUP (2007). NPUAP (2007) redefined the definition and classification of a pressure ulcer in 2007. As a result of the modification, stages I IV, the four original stages, underwent alterations to their existing classifications and definitions. In addition, two stages, deep tissue injury and unstageable resulted. Through an explanation and description of the development of a pressure ulcer and the stages, the anatomy is shown. For a pressure ulcer to develop, damage to the lining of blood and lymphatic vessels, or endothelial damage occur over a bony prominence as the result of several processes such as a disrupting and shearing force (Gillick Sheerin, 2004, p. 34). Once a pressure ulcer begins to develop, deep tissue damage gradually rises to shallower tissues. According to Gillick and Sheerin (2004), the extent of damage caused by a pressure ulcer is related to the pressure and repeated pressure applications and the length of time that a body part is exposed to pressure (p. 34). Therefore, locally reduce blood flow, which could cause complications if the endothelium is impaired, and locally reduce oxygen levels and increase carbon dioxide levels are a direct result of irregular pressure. He puts two women (Inez and Estelle) in one hotel room with one man (Garcin) for all of eternity. This is his concept of hell, and he makes this point in one of the last few lines of the play: Hell is other people! There are no torture racks or red hot pitchforks in hell because they re after an economy of man power or devil power if you prefer. It is important to note that Garcin s main fear in life was the fear of being cowardly, and this motivated the majority of his actions, e.g. most of his actions were preformed to demonstrate to himself and others that he is/was manly ; for instance, his conquests of multiple women, his domination and degradation of his wife, and the way he courted danger at every turn. However, he performed a cowardly action (fled the country when war broke out) which, when he was caught, led to a cowardly death which he defines as merely a physical lapse. Additionally, Estelle finds another way to seek approval: she needs Garcin s approval (as the only man there) to establish her superiority over Estelle as an object of desire, by comparison with Inez, the lesbian. Finally, Inez does the same thing, although in a different form, as Estelle and Garcin. She seeks approval over Estelle as a strong, dominant, hones woman, as compared to Estelle, who is a weak, subservient, dishonest woman. Although Inez criticizes Estelle for having a male dominated personality (which since Inez is a lesbian, she does not), Inez does not realize that she herself has an other dominated personality. No Exit also does a fine job of expressing Sartre s idea of negation in his philosophy of existentialism. • 30. A Family Tree In Amy Tan s Mother Tounge Cultures are kind of like a family tree. You can be part of other cultures, but you will always have a dominate culture. This relates to a family tree because you have your aunts and uncles, but they are not your 100% main blood, they are what I would consider sub cultures. Your mother and father would be conisderd your main culture, because they are the people who made you, not only that they shaped your culture and beliefs. This is only a sample of what I am discussing, in English class we read the story, Mother Tounge. In Mother Tounge I can proove to you that there is only one dominate culture. In Mother Tounge Amy Tan s main culture is her family. One example is that Amy talks in a semi broken form of English when she is with her family. An example of her doing this is when she is talking about used furniture with her family, Amy says, We were talking about the price of new and used furniture and I heard myself saying this; Not waste money that way. It is rather odd, considering she is an author. She then goes on to speak about it by saying, It has become or language of intimacy, a diffrent sort of English that relates to my familty talk, the language I grew up with. The act of trapping animals as a way of life and in Montana it is on par with hunting and fishing. To some it seems like a practice that should ve been left in the last century, but there is a growing group that would challenge that very notion. For those who take trapping as a way of life, it would seem as though it is the very thing that keeps their hearts pumping blood, a tradition that some go the extra distance to protect. The characters, the plot, the settings, the play as a whole played a great role in showcasing the society of that day it s culture and traditions. Those traditions and culture are weird or odd to people in some regions nowadays. However, some other cultures feel quite close to the traditions and customs in other regions. The Arab world is famous for holding on to it s traditions and customs. The Arab culture affects all the individuals living in it, even the non Arabs. Even individuals from different religions or family backgrounds living in one community in the Arab World can also share the same traditions and cultures. This paper will talk about the traditions, customs and culture of the Arab World mainly the Gulf Arab, Kuwait and how it is related to the themes and events of some of Shakespeare s plays The plays that will be discussed are two tragedies and one comedy. First will be Macbeth, and the second one will be Coriolanus and the last one is The Winter s Tale. Each Play had a set of different themes. The two tragedies might have some things in common though because in tragedies there usually is the protagonist who does something wrong or commit a mistakes and that mistake turns leads to more mistakes and it always ends with the death of the protagonist, just like in the two plays, Macbeth and Coriolanus. Twenty years later, Adolf Hitler invaded Poland under the creed, It is not truth that matters, but victory (Sanskrity). The Interwar Years should be titled Dissipating Hope and Desperate Measures because Europeans lost hope that their nations could be restored to pre war stability. • 34. Biblical Inspiration Howard Marshall This book review is from the readings of Biblical Inspiration by Howard Marshall. The book is published by Regent College Publishing located in Vancouver, and British Columbia published the book in 2004. The book is braces around the interpretation of the Bible, and the inspiration of the Bible in our lives of today. There are many questions that are brought up the book, and these include: Is the Bible infallible? How do we interpret the Bible today? is its inspiration believable in and biblical criticism believable? All of the different opinions on biblical issues equivalent to these bring up issues and questioning within the community. It is Marshall s goal to try and produce a statement that is concrete of what the Bible says in our lives today. Biblical Inspiration has five different key components. The first components is Marshall talking about how God exposes himself to society. Marshall wanted to make it obvious that this controversy is based for of his readers, and these readers have some kind of belief in God, and the realness of him. After this Marshall starts to talks about the question that is raised. This question is is God reveals himself in different ways, and can one of these ways be in the Bible? Marshall made it apparent that he believed God revealed himself quite obviously in the Bible, and was a very important tool for God to reveal himself to us. Marshall confirmed this when he said, Christians do experience such moments of revelation as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Virtual Teams Do virtual teams experience the stages of development? When Bruce Tuckman presented his initial theory for group development in 1965, he couldn t have possibly imagined a world dotted with virtual teams. Tuckman s framework for evaluating teamwork using the stages of forming, storming, norming and performing was created after a study of a variety of face to face teams. As a testimony to his work, it is generally accepted that Tuckman s premise about groups experiencing definitive stages toward formation, also applies to groups of people who don t share physical space and span time zones. There is some thought that the storming stage is integrated into the other stages or skipped entirely. (Berry, 2011). The lack of defined storming might be due to virtual teams having more of a task versus personality orientation and having a well defined communication plan also serving as a proactive conflict management measure. Also, there is a shared opinion that well planned formation activities are critically important for a virtual team. At the top of the list is training on the technology and related communication systems to be used. (Berry, 2011). The importance of trust in any team There is agreement across the board of teamwork experts on the importance of trust in a team setting. If a team wants to succeed, the presence of trust must be welcomed, nurtured and maintained. There is also a majority shared opinion that trust building takes time, but it can be accelerated with ... • 36. An Experiential Approach For Organization Development As I reflected on the course studies and what I have learned in taking this course. I came to a conclusion that a lot of the information from the chapters will come very useful to my personal and professional life. I decided to summarize on some of the concepts that I learned in the chapters in the book An experiential approach to organization development . The concepts or theories that caught my attention that I felt that I can relate to are the model of organizational development, changing the culture, overcoming the resistance to change, goal setting theory and employee empowerment. All of the chapters in the book can be incorporated into my professional life, and I feel that any organization will benefit from reading this book. Model for organizational development is a continuing process of long term organizational improvement that consists of several stages this model emphasizes on a combination of individual, team and organizational relationships. The first phase is anticipated need for change which states that before a change can be done there has to be a need. The manager of the organization must feel that there is a need to change and he must adopt new ways for a change to be productive. The second stage is developing the practitioner client relationship which means that after the group has identified a need for change the organizational development practitioner enters the system and a relationship begins to grow between the practitioner and the client system. ... Neutral Bathrooms In Schools In my junior AP Class, my teacher assigned us a project in which we would come up with an idea that would improve the quality of our school, and then create a proposal that we would take to the school board in hopes of getting it actually implemented into the high school. My group was made up of roughly six other students, and we were working towards adding gender neutral bathrooms to the school. The idea was mine, and was mine because it s an issue that affects me and many of my friends. I am transgender, I identify as nonbinary, as neither a boy nor a girl. A Terminal Station: The Masculine Implies forceful, direct, clear and straightforward, The Feminine Implies intuitive sympathy, suavity, grace, and qualities of soothe, elevate, and refined. Should be easy to get in and out (efficiency) Outward aspect of the style takes on the ambulance of architecture. However, the value of the building is based on subjective value and Dollar value. Sullivan recommends that both come into play. Human nature determines the subjective value, which is more permanent, but money value is inseparable from the affairs of life. Roman temple: Sullivan talked about how roman temples are place in great modern cities, at the same time having a strenuous sight, sound, that remind the people of their god. Such a holy precinct shall be doubly sacred to us in our reverence for this union of old and new. An example of how a building can be highly subjective, take for example a bank. Just as we discussed in class, a Bank wants their building to seem powerful with strong values. Sullivan disagrees that banks in America should not resemble a Roman Temple. He believes that it should belong to ancient romans and that banks can make as much money in any kind of bank. Thus no need for imitations. It was a part of Roman life and their culture, and that goes along with the Roman glory, thus building temples all over resemble a roman death. Taste: It expresses a familiarity with current persons of the culture, or trends. When an architect loses trust from the people at large, this is called weak taste. I always consider taste as what the market demands, for example having garages in suburban houses because of the demand for car and storage area. A Department Store:

If God existed, and the person believed in God, he would be rewarded. If the person did not believe, he would be punished .If God did not exist it would make no difference. For this reason it would be more rational to believe in God rather than to not. Pascals Wager was defined by seventeenth century Philosopher Blaise Pascal. The argument can be standardised as follows: P1. Either God exists or God does not Exists. P2. If God exists and I believe, I gain a great deal (Heaven). P3.
