A Rugged, Precise and Accurate New Gravimetry Method for...
Gravimetry is an old technique which has been used for the determination and recovery of gold ever
since its discovery. It is a process that has a minimal room for instrumental error and does not require
standards for any calculation of the unknown that is being analyzed. The determination of gold
besides gravimetry can either be titrimetry or instrumental, but these techniques requires gold
standards for comparison of its results and concerns the determination of gold in small scale or trace
amounts like that of atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The demand for gold is rapidly icreasing
world wide and as of today, the standard test for its determination is Fire Assay ASTM E 1335 08 a
method that requires expertise, time, and can lead to a decrease in the sample s amount. In this study,
Gold a rare metal known for its worth, value, and properties such as conductivity, malleability, and
high reflective power was determime by proposing a new gravimetric method through gold s
reduction by hydroxylamine hydrochloride as an alternative to the standard test method called the fire
assay. The researchers based all their calculations using an ISO standard guideline,
EURACHEM/GUM. Gold samples with five replicates of approximately 0.2g was carried out by acid
digestion using a solution containing 15mL of 35% Hydrochloric acid and 5mL of 69% of nitric acid
in the presence of 10mL de ionized 18.2M Ω resistivity water of analytical grade per sample. Samples

Johnny Cade Case Study
Prosecution Against Johnny Cade
Act I (Opening and Evidence)
Johnny Cade should be charged with Voluntary Manslaughter towards Bob Sheldon. In this night Mr.
Cade stabbed Mr. Sheldon to death mercilessly. After Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade were walking
with Sherri Valance and her friend Marcia. Bob and Randy saw that they were walking with their
girlfriends and they became upset, but peacefully took them in their car. Ponyboy and Johnny returned
to the park and fell asleep. When Ponyboy returned home his brother became mad and roughly
smacked him across the face with the back of his hand. Feeling betrayed Ponyboy returned to the lot
with Johnny and they ran away. They relaxed and came to the park to talk. Mr. Sheldon and Randy
approached with friends and expressed their anger with Ponyboy and Johnny. Ponyboy retaliated
calling the peaceful Bob and Randy White trash . Naturally, being angered by this response Bob and
Randy chased Ponyboy and Johnny around a bit ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Defense Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, he didn t mean to kill Bob Sheldon. He knew that he was

Act III (Closing Statement)
Johnny Cade should with no doubt be convicted of Voluntary Manslaughter against Bob Sheldon. If
any of the blaring pieces of evidence presented were to change your mind, then the fact that neither
Ponyboy Curtis or Johnny Cade were likely going to be hurt. After Ponyboy and Johnny angered the
boys by taking their girlfriends on a walk, disrespectfully falling asleep in a public lot, running away
from home, taking advantage of people under the influence of alcohol, killing someone, stowing away
on a train, and hiding illegally, we all see no reason to not arrest Johnny

Is Hamlet Angry With His Father s Father
From Uncle to Stepfather From Mother to Auntie
In the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare, the main character is angry and expressed his anger
through the medium of allusion. An allusion refers to a mythological person, place, or thing. Many
things around the city of Denmark are changing for the worse. Hamlet is angry with his mother
because he fills betrayed that she would merry another man after two months of his father s death. The
allusion Hamlet expresses those feeling is when he said, With which she followed my poor father s
body, / Like Niobe, all tears. Why she ever she (1.2.148 149). Hamlet is comparing his mother to
Niobe. Niobe is a woman who turned into a stone and weeps for her fourteen children, which Hamlet s
mother only cries for his father for only two months. Hamlet s expression of his mother shows the
reader that she is a gold digger and was not truly in love otherwise she would have grief longer.
Furthermore, these lines can only mean that he was the only person who truly care and loved the ex
king of Denmark. Meanwhile the others had already forgotten about him. All in all, Hamlet though
that maybe his mother would be more impacted by the death of the King, but instead traded him up for
his Uncle. Moreover, Hamlet was in denial that his Uncle was going to be the king and his new father.
For him, the only true king was his father and no more. As he said, So excellent a king, that was to his

The Judgement Of The Elephant And Shooting An Elephant
Both of the short stories, Shooting an Elephant, and, The Judgement of the Birds, examine the way in
which people may perceive a culture differently than one who abides within the culture; that people
must be willing to accept different ways of living, and that no two people or cultures will perceive
something in the same way. In these short stories, authors George Orwell and Loren Eiseley discuss
events that happened in their lives that resulted in them learning to accept a culture and how a
different culture perceives the world. Both essays implicitly suggest that one must be open to learn
different cultures and how the world is perceived by these cultures, in contrast to how it works around
one s native culture.
In the short story, Shooting an Elephant, author George Orwell discusses his life as a police officer in
Burma, a poverty stricken nation in southeastern Asia, during a time in which the nation was governed
under imperialist control by Great Britain. Orwell recollects his time as an officer as being dreadful, as
he was tormented by the citizens in the Burma no matter what positive act he would do. At first,
George Orwell is confused in the reasoning behind why the citizens disliked his presence. All this was
perplexing and upsetting, Orwell explains as he hypothesizes the reasoning behind this inner hatred
and resentment shown by the citizens of Burma (Orwell 125). However, after the event in which
Orwell protects the town of Moulmein from an insane elephant ravaging the city by him shooting and
killing it, he realizes why the people of Burma despised his presence: Orwell s European culture
clashed with the culture of the Burman people.
Many Europeans, including Orwell, were unwilling to learn how the people of the Burman culture
perceived the world. Orwell realized that the Burmans perceived the world as being different than his
European culture perceived the world. Burman culture perceived the world as being a hopeless
endeavor to survive, as they live in poverty and have little to live off of. As Orwell did not want to kill
the Elephant because of the shame he would feel from his European culture, the Burman culture
wanted him to kill the elephant for the food it would provide for the

Bra Boys: Australian Underdogs or Drug hardened criminals
After the release of the record breaking Australian documentary Bra Boys: Blood is Thicker than

Analysis Of The Truth By Raymond Carver
The truth shall set you free whenever it is needed. On page 269, Antoine Thomas, a star football
player for Lake Windsor High School. He told the truth to Mr. Donelly a sports writer for the sports
section of the newspaper. When he saw Paul Fisher, the protagonist of the story outside of Mr. Donelly
s house he said The truth shall set you free. This really hit Paul because he is always afraid to tell the
truth. Paul really thinks about what Antoine said to him for a while. He can never build the courage to
tell the truth about other people or things that happen until Antoine tells him that the truth can set him
free from all of this pressure to tell the truth.

Sometimes when you tell the truth you get lickens because the truth is bad for what you had done, but
it can set you free because you at least told your parent(s) the truth which is good because you learned

important because if you tell the truth it can get other people in trouble because of what they had done
and they get THEIR lesson learned. This is an important saying because it actually settles all your
pressure you have to tell the truth but you just let it go. You can keep this in mind because when you

Comparison Of The Squire And The Canterbury Tales
In the late 14th century that is represented in Geoffrey Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales, the most
perceived element of a true gentleman was conceivably chivalry. This element is demonstrated in two
of the many characters in the story, the Knight and the Squire. The Knight and the Squire are father
and son who are both members of the aristocrat class; both ride honorably on their horses and have the
aura of a true gentleman, but despite their similarities, they are different. Though the Knight and the
Squire share the same profession and are both members of the same aristocratic class, they differ in
the fact that the Knight portrays the ideal society while the Squire displays the reality of society.
Although the Knight and the Squire both possess the same occupation, they exhibit disparate
approaches in relation to devotion. In regard of battles, it was the prime objective in the Knight s
description, whereas in the Squire s, was barely a significant component. All of the Squire s
involvement amidst the military is very shortly revealed saying that he had seen some service with the
calvary/ In Flanders and Artois and Picardy, (Chaucer 87 88) while the Knight s list of battles is the
focus in his description. The Knight traveled along the Mediterranean coast (Chaucer 61) to multiple
regions including Russia, North Africa, Anatolia, etc. and also fought in fifteen mortal battles
(Chaucer 63) and always killed his men (Chaucer 65) showing evidence of his devotion to

period of time where a lot of work written were left unclear at the ending. With this being said, many
of the audience who read these type of work always made their own conclusions without the author

Analysis Of The Book Watchmen By Dc Comics
Colin Ellis
Dr. Angel
ENGL 2322.P01
21 March 2016
Watchmen
Watchmen, by DC Comics, should be considered a literary work for its great use of realism and
deconstruction, storytelling and subplots, and the focus on personal character development and their
moral codes. Watchmen utilizes these aspects in a way that makes the reader change the way they
think about their popular culture and what is valuable to them. These aspects help solidify the idea that
Watchmen is the first in a new breed of comics, one in which they make the transition from fantasy to
literature. It is a work that is recognized by many as a revolutionary comic series, and is even lauded
as one of the best novels and most significant works of the 20th century. It has solidified its place as a
cultural classic in America and it would be injudicious to not see Watchmen as a literary work.
In order to see Watchmen as a literary work, one must understand what that is. A classic is a literary
work our culture studies due to its ability to maintain being conventional, or popular, and relevant
despite times changing. When people think of an American classic, people think of stories like Harper
Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, and John Steinbeck s The Grapes
of Wrath. In these novels, the authors utilize certain aspects of language, such as intense character
development, subplots, and realism, and ties them together to create great, detailed storylines. This use
of language and

The Dystopia For The Modern Society In John Rand s Anthem
Imagine a society that is so strict that even a simple rule break can result in a severe punishment. In
Anthem, this is just everyday life for the society that Equality 7 2521 lives in. The society that was
created in Anthem was an attempt to make a utopia but instead ended up in a dystopia. In this society,
people are assigned their jobs and are forced to take that job that was assigned to them. The
government controls everything and has taken many steps to eliminate all freedom from the society.
Much knowledge from modern day society has been erased in Anthem and has been replaced with
false facts that all of their citizens believe. We learned that the earth is flat and the sun revolves around
it, which causes the day and night. (Rand 23). Once Equality 7 2521 has broken out of the society, he
discovers a place in the mountains away from the old society. He lives their with International 4 8818
or the nickname that Equality 7 2521 dubbed her, The Golden One. While living in the glass house on
the mountain, Equality discovers freedom and starts using the forbidden word from the old society, I .
Equality 7 2521 will abandon all the rules from his old society because of technology, ego, and last
but not least, freedom. In anthem, the society designates people to create inventions that help the
society with advancements. These advancements have not been made due to the lack of accurate facts
that the society has forgotten. Even with these setbacks some inventions have

The Importance Of Professional Communication
Today with instant communication we can Skype with anyone living thousands of miles away.
Projects succeed daily, from networks of associates, from every corner of the globe, engaged
communication, with Skype, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, email. Technology offers various gadgets,
applications, and speeds that allows one to speak to anyone in the world instantly. While you go
through your emails, you quickly have Eddie on Skype, Elise calls you on Facebook, Christian gets
your focus by using SMS. How can you properly communicate with all these people, that reach out for
answers and solutions to various issues, at the same moment? Professional communication is an
effective way to communicate with them.
Professional communication identifies with the various forms of speaking, listening, writing, and
responding, whether, in person, or through electronics. Efficient communication is essential in
personal and business settings; poor communication can produce short and long term resentments and
shrinks productivity. We often disregard the system of communicating when using it but observing
how you forward and interpret messages lessens complications and strengthens relationships. We learn
to communicate from birth, without examining it as a procedure or process. If you start the
communication, you are the sender, channeling communications to a recipient. Drafting and tailoring

some lowly stewardess? Stacy was a goddess compared to Nicole. He had to admit that with the new

Money Makes The World Go Around By Barbara Garson Summary
In the 19th and early 20th century, the world s economies grew interconnected and entangled as trade,
capital, investment, migration and technology thrived. This international integration forms the basis
for globalization and arises from exchange and interbreeding of perspectives, ideas and aspects of
culture. This modern economic and global point of view posits that globalization increases trade,
raises wages, heightens living standards, and betters the market discipline. With its roots in free
market capitalism, the critics of this perspective declare globalization to be detrimental to the vast
majority of the working class and poor since most of the labor and work goes to the lowest bidder;
proper regulation and working conditions are often ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The IMF did provide relief but at the expense of the food subsidies which the Thai rely on to compete
for food prices. If the economy of Thailand were left alone, given their own economic sovereignty
rather than launching them in the vicious global market while being compared and linked to the titanic
financial power of the dollar, their quaint agricultural and textile industry could have thrived and met
the requirements to maintain their nation. The deeply rooted free market ideals of globalization forced
the Thai baht to be overvalued. The wolf pack like instincts (bred by the greed and profit seeking
nature of global capitalism) of the foreign investors let the baht to be over sold and the price of the
currency to be driven down into obscurity. The global market capital perspective provides an
insightful perspective as to why the Thai currency crash was so impactful to not just Bangkok, or Asia

An Essential Cellular Communication Process Of...
IIntracellular trafficking is an essential cellular communication process in which membrane vesicles
carrying lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids are taken up and transported through endosomes to
lysosomes (termed endocytosis) and vesicles carrying macromolecules are delivered to the plasma
membrane and outside of the cell (exocytosis) [1]. Uptake of external particles through endocytosis is
required for prolific growth and differentiation. For example, uptake of transferrin provides iron
necessary for growth and parasitism of the parasite Plasmodium falciparum [2]. In contrast, the
synaptic release of neurotransmitters, including dopamine and serotonin exemplifies exocytosis. In the
pathogenic fungus Candida albicans (Ca), the secretion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pan1 homologs were identified from Candida species and Magnaporthe oryzae (Mo), but not Cn,
indicating that Pan1 mediated endocytic trafficking is not universal among fungi ([13], ZG Zhang and

Cn is an encapsulated basidiomycetous fungus that infects both immunocompromised and healthy
individuals to cause life threatening meningoencephalitis [14]. Cn produces virulence factors
including melanin, the polysaccharide capsule, and extracellular ureases and phospholipases [15 17].
Previous studies showed that secretory transport is important for virulence [18] and that Cn has
proteins with conserved specific functions in exocytosis, such as Sav1, Sec6, and Sec14 [19 21].
Previously, we identified cryptococcal intersectin 1 (Cin1) as a novel endocytic adaptor protein that is
important not only in intracellular transport but also in growth and virulence [22]. Cin1 contains
multiple domains including one EH domain, one CC region, an actin monomer binding WH2 domain,
two SH3 motifs, and a RhoGEF PH domain. Also, the Cin1 domain structure shares more similarity
with mammalian ITSN1 than Sc Pan1 (Fig. 1). Further studies suggested that Cin1 functions upstream
of Wsp1, a GTPase binding domain (GBD) containing Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome protein (WASp)

Chapter I
Statement of Purpose The author has had a lifetime of experience with athletics in multiple sports as
an athlete, as a coach, and now as an athletic director at a high school. As an athlete that was highly
competitive, his mindset was to always work hard and do whatever it took to win. About a year after
all of his college eligibility has been completed his good friend took a job at a high school in San
Bernardino as a water polo coach and asked him to come out to the pool to teach his boys a few
things. The author took on an assistant coaching position from that point on for the next 6 years
because he loved teaching the athletes what it was to not only be a competitor but to be a competitor
the right way, through hard work and respecting the game. He eventually took over the program and
progressed from a coach who wanted to desperately win to a coach that wanted his kids to be
successful at everything they attempted to do above all else. That mindset has spilled over into his job
as an athletic administrator at a new high school. Leadership positions, whether they are as an
educator, head coach, or an athletic director, they all come with a lot of responsibility. There is a
tremendous amount of responsibility placed on a coach or athletic administrator. Not including the

Then Charlie gasped. I saw that the arm was in a different place than before. Then I saw his arm move

was just amazed by the thought of a snowman jumping. Then I walked over to it and touched the

familiar, just like my other friend, Brian, he always laughs with a cackle and snorts at the same time.

Never mind the English idiom don t judge a book by its cover . As a consumerist society, we tend to

Compare And Contrast Quakers And Puritans
When colonists from Northern Europe obtained land in North America, they did not only create vast
settlements that traded goods between Europe and the Americas but also organized independent
churches that catered to their population. For instance, when the Puritans settled the Massachusetts
Bay in 1630, they developed their own government and rules compared to the Quakers who settled
Pennsylvania in 1681. Both these colonies had many aspects in common but due to the fact that both
settlements had different beliefs, ideals, and contrasting opinions on society, they naturally separated
and created too completely different colonies. For example, John Winthrop was the minister and
leader of the Puritan colony and was a strong believer in conformity ... Show more content on

This is shown greatly in John Winthrop s city upon a hill speech because during this he states that the
Puritans are above every other country and colony by saying, For we must consider that we shall be as
a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us. So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in
this work we have undertaken, and so cause Him to withdraw His present help from us, we shall be
made a story and a by word through the world (Winthrop, 1630). In other words, what Winthrop is
saying is that if the Puritans as a colony failed it would not only be an embarrassment but also because
they believed that God was upholding their colony they were being watched by every other country
and colony. This clearly shows that the Puritans wished to not only isolate themselves from the rest of
the world but also it shows that the Puritans thought of themselves as a higher caliber than others. This
is very contrasting to the Quakers for several reasons. This is because the Quakers were accepting of
all into their community unlike the Puritans and wished to not isolate themselves from other countries
and colonies but wanted to connect with them. For example, in William Penn s letter to the Native
Americans he states that it would

times the body weight during stance in walking and up to 13 times the body weight during running
(10,11, 17 19). Despite the increased weight bearing force, the tibiotalar joint is more resistant to
development of primary osteoarthritis (OA). However, it is more susceptible to post traumatic arthritis
based on many variables including gender, cartilage thickness, mechanical and metabolic factors.

Unlike the knee, the articular cartilage of the ankle is uniform in thickness, measuring from 1 to
1.7mm, and displays much higher compressive stiffness than hip or knee cartilage (10,11,19,20).
Ankle cartilage may develop fissures attributable to wear; this conditions does not progress to OA as it
wound in the knee or hip (10,11,19, 20). Ankle cartilage also does not decrease in tensile strength with
age (10,11,19 21). Compared to the hip and knee, ankle chondrocytes have different biomechanical
and biologic factors to resist degradation, especially inflammatory markers. Ankle chondrocytes have
decreased sensitivity to Interleukin 1 (IL 1) and matrix metalloproteinases (MMP), in particular MMP
8 that is usually elevated in OA (10,11,19, 20, 22). As a result, the ankle joint is unlikely to succumb
to damage by inflammatory changes

The Difference Between The Winter Olympics And The Winter...
Introduction
Welcome to the world of sport. A fast, competitive and difficult walk of life, where only the
determined and hardworking succeed. Any form of physical exercise requires coordination, skill,
strength and the basic motor movements. Physical disability impairs many people from being able to
compete at the level of able bodied people.
The Olympic Games Started in 1896. Started for all those able bodied sportsmen and woman looking
for universal competition. In later years the Paralympics was started for war veterans. In 1960 it was
no longer exclusive to war veterans and was opened to all those living with disabilities.
What is the difference between the winter Olympics and the winter Paralympics in terms of
qualification and concessions?
The winter Olympic games:
Alpine skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh, cross country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice
hockey, luge, Nordic combined, short track speed skating, skeleton, ski jumping, snowboarding and
speed skating are all 15 sports that take part in the winter Olympics. With each one of these sports you
need physical strength, mental strength and a fully functional body. The criterion for each sport is very

Being disabled is a very unfortunate thing, whether you were born disabled or later became impaired
either way it is still difficult to cope with. Sport however is one way in which physically or mentally
disabled people can enjoy time being active and at the same time stimulate muscle movement and
growth. The Paralympics is for those who are disabled in some way but are still capable of
preforming. The Paralympics has set concessions and requirements for those competing and the
competitor s level of disability is assessed prior. There are different categories set for the disabled and
their physical and mental abilities are assessed and they are then placed in their certain categories. To
compete at the Paralympics you have to have fit into one or more of the following

Cells That Read Minds 2
This article is about brain cells reaction that is called mirror neurons. This cell will react to different
sounds or movement. The researchers found that on monkeys when they heard or saw a certain kind of
movement that would make a sound or gesture. Also, that found reactions happen within Humans,
also. Dr. Rizzolattis said it took them several years to believe what they we re seeing was really true.
That is when they realize that the monkeys brain contains a special class of cells, called mirror

To me dealing with the cells of the brain is very unique. This article is important to me, because we
need to know what make our brain works. Sometimes things are not what it seems within our brain.
The cells play a great part of our brain. I want to know more about the surrounding and what help
keep our brain in order. I have found that the brain has things to occur and we do not know when
happens or if it is happen. By reading this article and taking this class it has shown me the different
things that the brain may go through. This class has opened my mind to find different things about the
cells. I think this is great to know more information about the Cells within our brain. Also, this is a
very limited and good article. The research on this article was done by taxpayer monies and state.
Most research is done with different findings. I feel that some things like cells and other important
research items need to have all the funding that is necessary. The different research helps our scientist
and doctors find different avenues to help with diseases. Every country is research different diseases
for cures. The United States need all the funds to assist in any kind of research. If we did not have
people finding the different cures this will be hurtful. Also, we have to have researches and doctors
finding what is happens in our body and brain. If something happen

The Ethical Ethics Of The Tuskegee Syphilis Study
Over the years human experiments has developed the knowledge of human physiology and
psychology. However, the use of human s subject in research have to become a controversial issue in
our society. It has become a debatable questions whether it s ethical or not. There has to be a limit to
where certain experiments can be implemented on humans such as trials for drugs and social
experiments. There are moral principles that guides our research into deciding what is right or wrong .
This principles is governed by two philosophical theory which is deontology and utilitarianism.
However, they need to balance the risk and benefit for the participant associated with the research.
This paper will not only focus on the breach of ethical conduct of human experimentation but also
introduce different views from Henry Beecher and Jay Katz about the ethics in human research. One
of the human experimentation study that breach ethical conduct is the Tuskegee syphilis study, which
was conducted in 1932 in Macon County, Alabama. Medical researcher recruited African American
male subjects diagnosed with syphilis, they targeted people from poor and rural counties. The main
purpose of the study was to acquire information about the natural history of untreated syphilis. The
United States public health service initiated a program to diagnose and treat 10, 000 African American
for syphilis 1(pg 212). But unfortunately they didn t have enough money for the treatments. The main

Keats Use Of Figurative Language
In the poem When I Have Fears That I May Cease to be, John Keats reveals his overbearing fear of
dying young. What if he never gets to feel the passions of true love? What if he never gets to write the
mountains of books that he wishes to write? What if he never gets to experience the fame that he so
desires? Fear of not being able to complete our goals before we die is a fear that lurks in the dark
crevices of all of our minds. We must all find a way to fight this fear. Most people do it by blocking it
out completely, but not Keats. Keats confronts his fear full force by announcing it to the public.

Readers of Keats s story begin to realize that the fear of a young death is a demon that haunts us all.
This was Keats s goal as a romantic writer: to connect with the reader, to portray his ideas in the form
of art, and to make the reader see from his point of view. With his use of colorful figurative language,
such as repetition, imagery, and personification, Keats accomplishes his goal. The reason that Keats is
so successful in painting a clear picture is because he uses his imagination to write (King). By writing
his poem in the form of a Shakespearean sonnet consisting of three quatrains (King), Keats, like any
great artist, clearly states the point he is trying to make. Apprehension of a young demise is a plague
that haunts us all. In When I Have Fears That I May Cease to be, Keats takes our hands and reassures

An Reflection Of Advanced Perioperative Practice
For this reflection of advanced perioperative practice I will be using a case study approach, I will also
be using the Gibbs reflective cycle. (1988). Gibbs reflective cycle (1988) is a model of reflection that I
feel allows me to achieve the depth of reflection that is required, I also feel that this model helps me to
break the scenario that I have chose to reflect on into manageable sections. This model includes 6
stages of reflection which include description, feelings, evaluation, analysis ,conclusion, action plan.

which the patient was treated confidential.
The case that I have chosen to reflect on was a patient that was already staying on a ward within the
hospital, the patient was rushed to the emergency theatre late at night from the ward with a suspected
internal bleed, the cause and exact location of the bleed was unknown, the patient presented a complex
case for the theatre staff as the patient s condition was largely unpredictable along with the amount of

Overcoming Obstacles and Pentecostal Enlightment
Passion is when a person has total devotion and is given meaning. With Jesus as their guide, the
disciples were given not only a sense of purpose but also a sense of duty. This passion towards Jesus
and the religion made in his message, was imperative as it was the key factor for the disciples as they
committed their lives toward the development of Christianity. With little more than passion for the
message of Jesus as their guide, the early Christians overcame numerous obstacles to ensure his
legacy was maintained for the world. The early christians not only had to live their existence in the
hopes to make Christianity a recognised religion, but they needed to have the passion at the very heart
of their existence for this idea to flourish. They were faced with many obstacles to overcome,
including the fear of being alone, hurdles the Council of Jerusalem took control of, Paul s missionary
journeys, and persecution.
Pentecost is known as the birthday of the church as it marks the beginning of fearless Christian pursuit
to spread the Good News of salvation of Jesus in 33AD. After Jesus death, disciples had the fear of
being alone in the battle to spread the message of Jesus. This is one obstacle that is apparent of being
one of the largest barriers in the church s development. On the day of Pentecost, Jesus disciples were
filled with the Holy Spirit in the form of a lingering light above their heads, after they gathered
Jerusalem. This Holy Spirit allowed them to speak

Social And Negative Effects Of Interracial Marriage
America socially and culturally has come a long way with desegregation, as one in six U.S.
newlyweds (17%) were married to a person of a different race or ethnicity in 2015, a more than
fivefold increase from 3% in 1967 (Kristen Bialik n.p.). The reason behind this is because about 50
years ago, there were many laws put in place that bans interracial marriage. However, the situation
changed when a when a white man and a black woman, the Lovings, violated Virginia s Racial
Integrity Act of 1924, which prohibited interracial marriage. The Lovings were sentenced to a year in
prison but they brought their case before the Supreme Court and their love won. In 1967, the justices
ruled in their favor in Loving vs. Virginia, thereby invalidating all race based restrictions on interracial
marriage in the United States (Story Hinckley n.p.). With just one family resisting the laws, it changed
the perspective of the whole world as they proved that it was wrong to deny the freedom of marrying
whoever you wanted. Although people are slowly trying to become more accepting of different views
towards mixed marriage, families dealing with this situation are experiencing negative and positive
reactions from society. Children, in particular, show the most concern regarding the impact interracial
marriage has on their social and physiological issues.

Meeting the customer requirements (Oakland 2003) is a reasonable definition of quality.
Meeting the Customer s requirements is a tough challenge as the requirements of customer are like the
water of a tide; it s likely to change at any point of time. So identifying the expectations of the
customer and performing service in accordance to it is a task that requires great skill. But at the end of
the day if customer s expectation is met and the customer is satisfied with the product, we could say
that quality has been achieved.
For example; A Customer wanting a house to be built for him had come to my uncle s construction

Explaining my plans to the guide helped me get constructive ideas from him. It also helped me
understand the priorities of my project better and define it clearly.
The second type of communication in this scenario is operational communication. This involves
communicating about the progress of the project; passing information about its development and if
there are any changes in priorities. During this stage, my customer (guide) was regularly informed
about my progress. He would then suggest particulars that increased the overall quality of my work
and made it a better product.
Through such communication, my project was successfully completed on time in the way my guide
preferred. Excellent communication had become my key to increased quality, which in turn taught me
how vital it was for the success of any given project.

The Development of New Coating Materials
PECVD
Summary :
Recent advances in science and technology have stimulated the development of new coating materials,
surface and interface engineering processes, and thin film systems, that provide ever improving
performance in numerous areas, ranging from optics and optoelectronics to aerospace, automotive,
biomedical, microelectronics, and other applications.
PECVD Process :
In PECVD processing, glow discharge plasmas are sustained within chambers where simultaneous
CVD reactions occur. Generally, the radio frequencies employed range from about 100 kHz to 40
MHz at gas pressures between 50 mtorr to 5 torr. Under these conditions, electron and positive ion
densities number between lo9 and 101*/cm3, and average electron energies range from 1 to 10 eV.
This energetic discharge environment is sufficient to decompose gas molecules into a variety of
component species, such as electrons, ions, atoms, and molecules in ground and excited states, free
radicals, etc. The net effect of the interactions among these reactive molecular fragments is to cause
chemical reactions to occur at much lower temperatures than in conventional CVD reactors without
benefit of plasmas. Therefore, previously unfeasible high temperature reactions can be made to occur
on temperature sensitive substrates.
Typical cylindrical, radial flow, silicon nitride deposition reactor
The tube or tunnel reactors employed can be coupled inductively with a coil or capacitively with
electrode plates. In both cases,

What Is The Eulogy In The Unknown Citizen
Memories Make The Man Memories are information that the brain stores throughout people s lives.
The memories of a person is what shapes their lives and leaves an impression on other people s lives
as well. Without these memories, their lives would have been meaningless. In W. H. Auden s The
Unknown Citizen, it is evident that memories are important to really knowing a person. In the text, a
eulogy is given by a government official for a citizen whose life is unknown. The official goes
throughout the eulogy expressing how much the deceased was a saint by stating different facts from
different government organizations about his life (line 4). Auden uses a sarcastic eulogy given by a
government official to argue that people s lives should allot to more than just facts and statistics about
their lives. Auden utilizes structure to form his poem as an eulogy to show how little the speaker ...

The most sarcastic lines of the poem are at the end when the speaker states, Was he free? Was he
happy? The question is absurd: / Had anything been wrong, we should certainly have heard, (28 29).
The author was trying to present his audience with how disgraceful this eulogy was to the memory of
this man. The eulogy random facts and has no personal memory of this man. The lack of personal
memories not only establishes that facts do not determine what kind lives people live, but also reveals
that without memories of people, people s lives would mean little to nothing. The government official
proves this more by the fabrication of the companies within the poem. The speaker states, But
satisfied his employers, Fudge Motors Inc. (8). The word Fudge is used to indicate that these statistics
about the man is ridiculous. There are several more concocted companies throughout the poem that
were to imply how little is known about the citizen and how this eulogy was not taken

The Cultural Icon Of The 20th Century Essay
Amber Gentile 12 December 2016 Period 2 Albert Einstein The Cultural Icon from the 20th Century
Albert Einstein once said I want to know God s thoughts, the rest are details . Einstein wanted an
equation that would encapsulate all physical laws. To put the beauty and the power of the universe into
a single equation was his life s goal. Although Einstein s name is now synonymous with genius, his
professors would have never predicted him to be this successful as he would always cut class, and he
could not get a single job after graduating. Einstein thought he was such loser that he wrote a letter to
his family saying perhaps it would be better if he was never born. His father had to apply on behalf of
Einstein for academic positions, but they all said there were no positions available. His father passed
away thinking that Einstein was a total disgrace to the family. In 1902 Einstein moved to Switzerland,
and began a career far from science. One of his friends got him a job to be a patent clerk in the Swiss
patent office. He spent six days a week reviewing applications submitted by inventors to the Swiss
government. He had to analyze the patents and strip them to their essence, which honed his skills as a
physicist. Since it was not intellectually demanding it would give him ample time to contemplate the
universe. Einstein s daydreams would change the way the universe was understood. In 1905 in what
has been called his miracle year, he publishes in his spare time four

COPY RIGHTS Applies Liability to Copyright Infringement with the invention of iTunes and iPod
Protection of intellectual property (IP) is devised into four parts: copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets
and patents. Even though all four parts share a common goal, each follow its own special sets of rules
and requirements. The part of this paper, specifically concentrated on the copyrights infringement.
Although copyright infringement Acts are established and strictly enforced by the federal government,
many companies still figure out a way to go around them. One of the biggest controversies of the 21st
century is discussed in a case study in this paper The Copyright Crusher: How Apple s iTunes is a
vehicle designed for copyright infringement and Apple s legal liability from its creation . [2] The
paper describes the fundamental issues of copyright protections, the way iTunes enable the
infringement of the rights, and the legal liability of Apple. The paper explicitly focuses on:
Direct infringement:
Violation of at least one exclusive right granted to copyright holder.
The derivation of the original work.
How the creation of iTunes and its operation infringe on rights protected by the Copyright Act.

Potential liability from the creation of iTunes.

True Teleportation During An Experiment At Work
My story starts mid January 1837. It was a Friday, and I had just gotten home from a long day of
work. Eager, though, because I had only installed the final parts into a secret project of mine. I had
earlier discovered the secrets of true teleportation during an experiment at work. I heard a subtle
thmmp as the moon began to shine so slightly through the now barren trees outside my windows,
brightened for a short moment by the electricity in the sky. Small droplets of water started appearing
on the windows. Odd for this time of the year, for it had not been too long since they were frozen. As I
made my way with haste to my small lab, the beat of the rain grew, and more frequent rattles of
thunder shook tiny clouds of dust into the air. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The storm persisted, but not as intense as before. There remained a trickle of water from the sky.
I brought myself up. From my surroundings, it was apparent that I had not gone out too far from my
laboratory. Despite the blackness of the night, I was too familiar with the swamp which engulfed my
town. I pointed myself in the direction of the only light I could see, unmistakably the town s
lighthouse. However, it was difficult to be sure given my recent and regrettable actions. My mind
seemed to betray me in a sense which caught me off guard. Nevertheless, the light was my only point
to go on, so I began my short journey back to civilization.
Nearing the edge of what now felt like a forest, I found my way to the lighthouse. Close by sat the
small town, which came to me quickly compared to my trek through the marsh.
The guard stopped me before I could walk through the gate. Confused, I took a glance backwards. I
was a well distinguished individual in my local community, and it was quite atypical for the guard to
stop almost anyone from our small settlement. To my surprise, however, there was no one else to be
seen except myself.
What are you and what are you doing here! bellowed the chief. I was quite thrown. It s just me. I
muttered, probably not to be heard. It was ill lit and perhaps he could not see me, but I was surely
unmistakable in my laboratory attire. The chief stomped forward as the rest of the guard drew their
weapons,

Descriptive Essay On A Ghost Tree
Eagle
I am the moonshine and stardust igniting the world. I am the shadow that lurks, dark and foreboding,
the very essence of fear. I am a forbidden wish, a thousand dreams, and a lifetime of hopes and
wonders. I am the wind that slides through the trees at night, the silver bridge of moonlight that
connects land and sky, the incandescent glow of fireflies like stars twinkling in a forgotten realm of
darkness. My voice whispers in the depths of a crawling river, in the racing wind and the breeze
through ferns and branches. My shadow flickers on the wall opposite of glowing embers, hiding
between dark and light.
Today, I am on a bird s wing, in the soft rustle of silk feathers as we swoop down for the beady, yellow
eyes scampering through the grass.
The house over this field is a ghost house. The village over the river is a ghost town. The ocean over
the horizon is just an echo of what it once was, of the waves it once could breathe. The grave on the
side of the highway surrounded by wilting flowers is the home of a spirit, a ghost my home.
Just behind the crumbling slab of rock engraved with my name, a man picks his way across a long,
dirty patch of grass, his scraggly dog following faithfully behind. A car whips by, showering them
with dust, but they lower their heads and continue along the dark strip of road. They are bound to that
path, as I am bound to keep watch over those who let me live on. To break that is to break my
memory, to break what is mine.
We spiral down,

  • 2. A Rugged, Precise and Accurate New Gravimetry Method for... Gravimetry is an old technique which has been used for the determination and recovery of gold ever since its discovery. It is a process that has a minimal room for instrumental error and does not require standards for any calculation of the unknown that is being analyzed. The determination of gold besides gravimetry can either be titrimetry or instrumental, but these techniques requires gold standards for comparison of its results and concerns the determination of gold in small scale or trace amounts like that of atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The demand for gold is rapidly icreasing world wide and as of today, the standard test for its determination is Fire Assay ASTM E 1335 08 a method that requires expertise, time, and can lead to a decrease in the sample s amount. In this study, Gold a rare metal known for its worth, value, and properties such as conductivity, malleability, and high reflective power was determime by proposing a new gravimetric method through gold s reduction by hydroxylamine hydrochloride as an alternative to the standard test method called the fire assay. The researchers based all their calculations using an ISO standard guideline, EURACHEM/GUM. Gold samples with five replicates of approximately 0.2g was carried out by acid digestion using a solution containing 15mL of 35% Hydrochloric acid and 5mL of 69% of nitric acid in the presence of 10mL de ionized 18.2M Ω resistivity water of analytical grade per sample. • 5. The Judgement Of The Elephant And Shooting An Elephant Both of the short stories, Shooting an Elephant, and, The Judgement of the Birds, examine the way in which people may perceive a culture differently than one who abides within the culture; that people must be willing to accept different ways of living, and that no two people or cultures will perceive something in the same way. In these short stories, authors George Orwell and Loren Eiseley discuss events that happened in their lives that resulted in them learning to accept a culture and how a different culture perceives the world. Both essays implicitly suggest that one must be open to learn different cultures and how the world is perceived by these cultures, in contrast to how it works around one s native culture. In the short story, Shooting an Elephant, author George Orwell discusses his life as a police officer in Burma, a poverty stricken nation in southeastern Asia, during a time in which the nation was governed under imperialist control by Great Britain. Orwell recollects his time as an officer as being dreadful, as he was tormented by the citizens in the Burma no matter what positive act he would do. At first, George Orwell is confused in the reasoning behind why the citizens disliked his presence. All this was perplexing and upsetting, Orwell explains as he hypothesizes the reasoning behind this inner hatred and resentment shown by the citizens of Burma (Orwell 125). However, after the event in which Orwell protects the town of Moulmein from an insane elephant ravaging the city by him shooting and killing it, he realizes why the people of Burma despised his presence: Orwell s European culture clashed with the culture of the Burman people. Many Europeans, including Orwell, were unwilling to learn how the people of the Burman culture perceived the world. Orwell realized that the Burmans perceived the world as being different than his European culture perceived the world. Burman culture perceived the world as being a hopeless endeavor to survive, as they live in poverty and have little to live off of. As Orwell did not want to kill the Elephant because of the shame he would feel from his European culture, the Burman culture wanted him to kill the elephant for the food it would provide for the ... • 8. Comparison Of The Squire And The Canterbury Tales In the late 14th century that is represented in Geoffrey Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales, the most perceived element of a true gentleman was conceivably chivalry. This element is demonstrated in two of the many characters in the story, the Knight and the Squire. The Knight and the Squire are father and son who are both members of the aristocrat class; both ride honorably on their horses and have the aura of a true gentleman, but despite their similarities, they are different. Though the Knight and the Squire share the same profession and are both members of the same aristocratic class, they differ in the fact that the Knight portrays the ideal society while the Squire displays the reality of society. Although the Knight and the Squire both possess the same occupation, they exhibit disparate approaches in relation to devotion. In regard of battles, it was the prime objective in the Knight s description, whereas in the Squire s, was barely a significant component. All of the Squire s involvement amidst the military is very shortly revealed saying that he had seen some service with the calvary/ In Flanders and Artois and Picardy, (Chaucer 87 88) while the Knight s list of battles is the focus in his description. • 10. Analysis Of The Book Watchmen By Dc Comics Colin Ellis Dr. Angel ENGL 2322.P01 21 March 2016 Watchmen Watchmen, by DC Comics, should be considered a literary work for its great use of realism and deconstruction, storytelling and subplots, and the focus on personal character development and their moral codes. Watchmen utilizes these aspects in a way that makes the reader change the way they think about their popular culture and what is valuable to them. These aspects help solidify the idea that Watchmen is the first in a new breed of comics, one in which they make the transition from fantasy to literature. It is a work that is recognized by many as a revolutionary comic series, and is even lauded as one of the best novels and most significant works of the 20th century. It has solidified its place as a cultural classic in America and it would be injudicious to not see Watchmen as a literary work. In order to see Watchmen as a literary work, one must understand what that is. A classic is a literary work our culture studies due to its ability to maintain being conventional, or popular, and relevant despite times changing. When people think of an American classic, people think of stories like Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, F. Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, and John Steinbeck s The Grapes of Wrath. In these novels, the authors utilize certain aspects of language, such as intense character development, subplots, and realism, and ties them together to create great, detailed storylines. She had tried to get in touch with him countless times, but he never picked up. Fine, if he didn t want to talk to her then he would never see her again. About two weeks after the marriage announcement Nicole quit her job as a stewardess. Jetson didn t really care. He had a sexy new fiancé, why should he care about some lowly stewardess? Stacy was a goddess compared to Nicole. He had to admit that with the new male stewardess his flights did get a little boring but what did it matter? • 15. Money Makes The World Go Around By Barbara Garson Summary In the 19th and early 20th century, the world s economies grew interconnected and entangled as trade, capital, investment, migration and technology thrived. This international integration forms the basis for globalization and arises from exchange and interbreeding of perspectives, ideas and aspects of culture. This modern economic and global point of view posits that globalization increases trade, raises wages, heightens living standards, and betters the market discipline. With its roots in free market capitalism, the critics of this perspective declare globalization to be detrimental to the vast majority of the working class and poor since most of the labor and work goes to the lowest bidder; proper regulation and working conditions are often ... The deeply rooted free market ideals of globalization forced the Thai baht to be overvalued. The wolf pack like instincts (bred by the greed and profit seeking nature of global capitalism) of the foreign investors let the baht to be over sold and the price of the currency to be driven down into obscurity. IIntracellular trafficking is an essential cellular communication process in which membrane vesicles carrying lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids are taken up and transported through endosomes to lysosomes (termed endocytosis) and vesicles carrying macromolecules are delivered to the plasma membrane and outside of the cell (exocytosis) [1]. Uptake of external particles through endocytosis is required for prolific growth and differentiation. For example, uptake of transferrin provides iron necessary for growth and parasitism of the parasite Plasmodium falciparum [2]. In contrast, the synaptic release of neurotransmitters, including dopamine and serotonin exemplifies exocytosis. In the pathogenic fungus Candida albicans (Ca), the secretion ... Cn produces virulence factors including melanin, the polysaccharide capsule, and extracellular ureases and phospholipases [15 17]. Previous studies showed that secretory transport is important for virulence [18] and that Cn has proteins with conserved specific functions in exocytosis, such as Sav1, Sec6, and Sec14 [19 21]. Previously, we identified cryptococcal intersectin 1 (Cin1) as a novel endocytic adaptor protein that is important not only in intracellular transport but also in growth and virulence [22]. Cin1 contains multiple domains including one EH domain, one CC region, an actin monomer binding WH2 domain, two SH3 motifs, and a RhoGEF PH domain. Also, the Cin1 domain structure shares more similarity with mammalian ITSN1 than Sc Pan1 (Fig. 1). As an athlete that was highly competitive, his mindset was to always work hard and do whatever it took to win. About a year after all of his college eligibility has been completed his good friend took a job at a high school in San Bernardino as a water polo coach and asked him to come out to the pool to teach his boys a few things. The author took on an assistant coaching position from that point on for the next 6 years because he loved teaching the athletes what it was to not only be a competitor but to be a competitor the right way, through hard work and respecting the game. He eventually took over the program and progressed from a coach who wanted to desperately win to a coach that wanted his kids to be successful at everything they attempted to do above all else. For instance, when the Puritans settled the Massachusetts Bay in 1630, they developed their own government and rules compared to the Quakers who settled Pennsylvania in 1681. Both these colonies had many aspects in common but due to the fact that both settlements had different beliefs, ideals, and contrasting opinions on society, they naturally separated and created too completely different colonies. In other words, what Winthrop is saying is that if the Puritans as a colony failed it would not only be an embarrassment but also because they believed that God was upholding their colony they were being watched by every other country and colony. This clearly shows that the Puritans wished to not only isolate themselves from the rest of the world but also it shows that the Puritans thought of themselves as a higher caliber than others. Congruence of distal articular surface of the tibia, fibula, and trochlear surface of the talus aids in even distribution of weight bearing forces on the joint. Medial ligamentous structures, interosseous membrane, tibiofibular, lateral collateral ligaments, and tendinous structures assume static stabilization role of the ankle. (10,11,22). Although the ankle joint has significantly smaller surface area than the hip or knee, it withstands five times the body weight during stance in walking and up to 13 times the body weight during running (10,11, 17 19). Despite the increased weight bearing force, the tibiotalar joint is more resistant to development of primary osteoarthritis (OA). With Jesus as their guide, the disciples were given not only a sense of purpose but also a sense of duty. This passion towards Jesus and the religion made in his message, was imperative as it was the key factor for the disciples as they committed their lives toward the development of Christianity. With little more than passion for the message of Jesus as their guide, the early Christians overcame numerous obstacles to ensure his legacy was maintained for the world. The early christians not only had to live their existence in the hopes to make Christianity a recognised religion, but they needed to have the passion at the very heart of their existence for this idea to flourish. They were faced with many obstacles to overcome, including the fear of being alone, hurdles the Council of Jerusalem took control of, Paul s missionary journeys, and persecution. Pentecost is known as the birthday of the church as it marks the beginning of fearless Christian pursuit to spread the Good News of salvation of Jesus in 33AD. After Jesus death, disciples had the fear of being alone in the battle to spread the message of Jesus. Social And Negative Effects Of Interracial Marriage America socially and culturally has come a long way with desegregation, as one in six U.S. newlyweds (17%) were married to a person of a different race or ethnicity in 2015, a more than fivefold increase from 3% in 1967 (Kristen Bialik n.p.). The reason behind this is because about 50 years ago, there were many laws put in place that bans interracial marriage. However, the situation changed when a when a white man and a black woman, the Lovings, violated Virginia s Racial Integrity Act of 1924, which prohibited interracial marriage. The Lovings were sentenced to a year in prison but they brought their case before the Supreme Court and their love won. In 1967, the justices ruled in their favor in Loving vs. Virginia, thereby invalidating all race based restrictions on interracial marriage in the United States (Story Hinckley n.p.). With just one family resisting the laws, it changed the perspective of the whole world as they proved that it was wrong to deny the freedom of marrying whoever you wanted. Although people are slowly trying to become more accepting of different views towards mixed marriage, families dealing with this situation are experiencing negative and positive reactions from society. The Development of New Coating Materials PECVD Summary : Recent advances in science and technology have stimulated the development of new coating materials, surface and interface engineering processes, and thin film systems, that provide ever improving performance in numerous areas, ranging from optics and optoelectronics to aerospace, automotive, biomedical, microelectronics, and other applications. PECVD Process : In PECVD processing, glow discharge plasmas are sustained within chambers where simultaneous CVD reactions occur. Generally, the radio frequencies employed range from about 100 kHz to 40 MHz at gas pressures between 50 mtorr to 5 torr. Under these conditions, electron and positive ion densities number between lo9 and 101*/cm3, and average electron energies range from 1 to 10 eV. This energetic discharge environment is sufficient to decompose gas molecules into a variety of component species, such as electrons, ions, atoms, and molecules in ground and excited states, free radicals, etc. The net effect of the interactions among these reactive molecular fragments is to cause chemical reactions to occur at much lower temperatures than in conventional CVD reactors without benefit of plasmas. Therefore, previously unfeasible high temperature reactions can be made to occur on temperature sensitive substrates. Einstein wanted an equation that would encapsulate all physical laws. To put the beauty and the power of the universe into a single equation was his life s goal. Although Einstein s name is now synonymous with genius, his professors would have never predicted him to be this successful as he would always cut class, and he could not get a single job after graduating. Einstein thought he was such loser that he wrote a letter to his family saying perhaps it would be better if he was never born. His father had to apply on behalf of Einstein for academic positions, but they all said there were no positions available. His father passed away thinking that Einstein was a total disgrace to the family. In 1902 Einstein moved to Switzerland, and began a career far from science. One of his friends got him a job to be a patent clerk in the Swiss patent office. He spent six days a week reviewing applications submitted by inventors to the Swiss government. He had to analyze the patents and strip them to their essence, which honed his skills as a physicist. Since it was not intellectually demanding it would give him ample time to contemplate the universe. Einstein s daydreams would change the way the universe was understood. In 1905 in what has been called his miracle year, he publishes in his spare time four ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. True Teleportation During An Experiment At Work My story starts mid January 1837. It was a Friday, and I had just gotten home from a long day of work. Eager, though, because I had only installed the final parts into a secret project of mine. I had earlier discovered the secrets of true teleportation during an experiment at work. I heard a subtle thmmp as the moon began to shine so slightly through the now barren trees outside my windows, brightened for a short moment by the electricity in the sky. Small droplets of water started appearing on the windows. Odd for this time of the year, for it had not been too long since they were frozen. As I made my way with haste to my small lab, the beat of the rain grew, and more frequent rattles of thunder shook tiny clouds of dust into the air. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The storm persisted, but not as intense as before. There remained a trickle of water from the sky. I brought myself up. From my surroundings, it was apparent that I had not gone out too far from my laboratory. Despite the blackness of the night, I was too familiar with the swamp which engulfed my town. I pointed myself in the direction of the only light I could see, unmistakably the town s lighthouse. However, it was difficult to be sure given my recent and regrettable actions. My mind seemed to betray me in a sense which caught me off guard. Nevertheless, the light was my only point to go on, so I began my short journey back to civilization. Nearing the edge of what now felt like a forest, I found my way to the lighthouse. Close by sat the small town, which came to me quickly compared to my trek through the marsh. The guard stopped me before I could walk through the gate. Confused, I took a glance backwards. I was a well distinguished individual in my local community, and it was quite atypical for the guard to stop almost anyone from our small settlement. To my surprise, however, there was no one else to be seen except myself. What are you and what are you doing here! bellowed the chief. I was quite thrown. It s just me. I muttered, probably not to be heard. It was ill lit and perhaps he could not see me, but I was surely unmistakable in my laboratory attire. The chief stomped forward as the rest of the guard drew their weapons, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Earthquake Insurance Research Paper For the majority of earthquake travel insurance policies, they will include emergency medical and emergency evacuation if a person gets injured during an earthquake. Another one of the benefits of having earthquake travel insurance is that if there were an earthquake prior to the flight, depending on the policy, an individual can cancel his trip or even return home early. Normally, a policy requires that the person was directly affected by the earthquake for coverage, and his current accommodations are no longer inhabitable because of extensive damage. Before buying earthquake insurance, an individual should first look at the position statement of their policyholder. They should see what coverage will be available. In addition to emergency ... • 40. Descriptive Essay On A Ghost Tree Eagle I am the moonshine and stardust igniting the world. I am the shadow that lurks, dark and foreboding, the very essence of fear. I am a forbidden wish, a thousand dreams, and a lifetime of hopes and wonders. I am the wind that slides through the trees at night, the silver bridge of moonlight that connects land and sky, the incandescent glow of fireflies like stars twinkling in a forgotten realm of darkness. My voice whispers in the depths of a crawling river, in the racing wind and the breeze through ferns and branches. My shadow flickers on the wall opposite of glowing embers, hiding between dark and light. Today, I am on a bird s wing, in the soft rustle of silk feathers as we swoop down for the beady, yellow eyes scampering through the grass. The house over this field is a ghost house. The village over the river is a ghost town. The ocean over the horizon is just an echo of what it once was, of the waves it once could breathe. The grave on the side of the highway surrounded by wilting flowers is the home of a spirit, a ghost my home. Just behind the crumbling slab of rock engraved with my name, a man picks his way across a long, dirty patch of grass, his scraggly dog following faithfully behind. A car whips by, showering them with dust, but they lower their heads and continue along the dark strip of road. They are bound to that path, as I am bound to keep watch over those who let me live on. To break that is to break my memory, to break what is mine. We spiral down, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
