The Theme Of Sexism By Toni Morrison
In addition to that, Toni Morrison is one of the most prominent contemporary analysts of black
experiences. Considered as one of the foremost figures in contemporary American fiction, Toni
Morrison has won international acclaim for works in which she examines the role of race in American
society. She received awards like American Academy Award, 1977; National book critics circle
Award, 1977; New York states Governments Awards, 1985; Book of month club Award, 1986; Before
Columbus Foundation Award, 1988; Rogers F. Kennedy Award, 1988; Melcher Award, 1988; M.L.A
Common Wealth Award in Literature, 1889; Pearl Buck Award, 1994; Condorcet Medal Paris, 1994;
Rhegium Juli Prize, 1994 and National Book Foundation Award, 1996.

She also explores the theme of sexism which is integrally connected with racism in the black society.
Not only has she demonstrated that sexism existed in black communities, but she has also challenged
the prevailing definition of woman in American society, especially in relation to motherhood and
sexuality. While dealing with the theme of education of the black, her message has been consistently
plain that formal education for blacks is destructive. Love is another major theme in her fiction.
Morrison has united her themes with a series of brilliantly dramatized foreshadowing events, skillfully
made frames, and splendid characterization.
Another way that Morrison took advantage of her style was by also applying periodic and inverted
sentences in her novels. The author s reason for including these types of sentences was to break the
stream of monotonous reading by creating dynamic sentence that are somewhat unexpected. In
addition, Morrison entices the reader by manipulating sentence length and word to express the tone or
emotion she is trying to convey. This author s distinctive style was what has made so renounced and
prominent in the literary

Personality As Predictor, Personality, And General Knowledge
Personality as Predictor
According to Kluemper, Bing, and McLarty (2014), a person s reputation is based on their past
experiences. Also, managers use a person s past performance to predict the person s future
performance. This essay provides a definition of a measure and discusses how leaders measure the
personality trait of employees to explain their job performance. Also, how managers use
organizational past performance to predict future performance. Also, the paper describes how leaders
use employees personality trait to predict future job performance. Next, the paper explains how using
G and personality for predicting performances. Last, the essay discusses how the finding from an
employee s personality trait and general knowledge is used to make hiring decisions.
Measurement of Performance
A measure is a standard that leaders use as an indicator to test the consistency and stability of a worker
under constant and stressful conditions (Eisend Stokburger Sauer, 2013). The success of an
organization is contingent upon the employees performances. In Hassan, Akhtar, and Yilmaz (2016)
article on measuring the personality trait of workers, they discovered that employees with the
conscientiousness trait outperform their counterparts in overall job performance. Hassan et al. (2016)
described conscientiousness as one that is orderly, neat, prompt, meticulous, and organized. Hassan
and cohorts noted that workers with conscientiousness are high achievers that excel in academics

A Professional Experience Of Working
I personally do not have a professional experience of working in an organization. However, while I
doing pursuing my bachelors degree I was the member for one the college club. When I first join the
club in 2013, the members were very ineffective with their communication. The club objective or
values were very unclear. There was lot of ambiguity within the roles of members. As described in
page 4 of the PMI s Pulse of Profession report, there was a gap in understanding business benefits. In
our case was or the club some of the members did not have proper understanding about the goals, and
what kind of events/activities the club want to in the college As stated in page 4 of the report that
Everyone needs to understand the long term goal so they can know how they re contributing, how they
re making an impact (Project Management Institute, 2013). There was a very poor communication
between the President and the members of the club. President was not effective in delivering his
expectation and strategies, and this later impacted on club events resulting in failure. The gap was very
evident, but no one took the ownership, not even the advisor whose role similar to an executive
sponsor or senior manager. If the gaps were identified then the club would have been successful since
the beginning.
Question 2: Which strategy or strategies would you recommend for your organization to adopt or to
continue? The most important was to recognize the gap, and then to communicate

Condominium Court Cases
Transparency breeds Legitimacy: 3 tips for your Condominium Association to avoid a Lawsuit
Many condominium board members volunteer to serve their condominium association for altruistic
purposes. While often well intentioned, it is not uncommon for board members to not have any
training that would make them aware of potential pitfalls that commonly entangle a condominium
association in litigation. In other instances, co owners may have self interested motives for serving on
a board that cloud their business judgment. Under either scenario, a condominium association can be
subject to a lawsuit if it is not operated properly. As will be discussed below, lack of transparency is a
common reason for many co owner lawsuits against condominium associations. The three (3) most
common reasons for a lawsuit against a condominium association related to transparency issues is 1)
failing to prepare adequate financial statements 2) failing to respond to requests to inspect the books
and records of the condominium association and 3) failing to hold elections.

Academic Coaching With Austin Is Going Well Essay
Academic coaching with Austin seems to still be going well. Except for the fact that he still forgets to
meet with me... and we meet at the same time and day of the week every week. I don t know how to
approach this topic with him again because I already went over it and expressed that I need him to
communicate with me about his absences. I was talking with one of my supervisors about it and she
believes that he needs to be the one making first contact about missing appointments, instead of just
responding when I reach out. He just always seems to have such good excuses. This week he was at a
review session for his midterm. I just need him to communicate. I really don t care if we reschedule
later in the week but I hate looking like an idiot when he doesn t show up. This semester we have
known that Austin will struggle in one of his classes, and he took a test and did poorly on it.
Unfortunately, he had the pleasure of finding this out for the first time when he logged into asulearn in
my office. I felt bad. Immediately his demeanor changed and I could tell that he was upset.
I tried to use this situation to let him know that sometimes crappy situations happen but that isn t a
reason to stop trying. Working with him for a while now has taught me that he needs to explore
multiple options and talk them through with others. So I had him talk through all of his grades so far,
and what he could do with all of the opportunities he has remaining. For example, in this class he has

Essay on Hamlet- The Characters
Hamlet
The prince of Denmark, and a student at the University of Wittenberg. At the beginning of the play,
Hamlet s father, King Hamlet, has recently died, and his mother, Queen Gertrude, has married the new
king, Hamlet s uncle Claudius. Hamlet is melancholy, bitter, and cynical, full of hatred for his uncle
and disgust at his mother for marrying him. When the ghost of Hamlet s father appears and claims to
have been murdered by Claudius, Hamlet becomes obsessed with avenging his father s death but
keeps thinking of reasons why he should wait before killing Claudius—then chastizes himself for
failing to act boldly. Hamlet is a character of contradictions. He admires characters like Fortinbras and
the Player King, who behave passionately ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Polonius
The Lord Chamberlain of Claudius s court, and the father of Laertes and Ophelia. Polonius has good
intentions, but he tends to be somewhat conniving and underhanded. He frequently leaps to the wrong
conclusions, and his speeches are comically pompous and long winded. He is completely incapable of
figuring out what Hamlet is up to.
Horatio
Hamlet s close friend, who studied with the prince at the University of Wittenberg. Hamlet trusts
Horatio above any of the other characters, valuing him for his even temper and equanimity—qualities
that Hamlet seems to despise in himself. Horatio is loyal and helpful to Hamlet throughout the play.
After Hamlet s death, Horatio remains alive to tell Hamlet s story.
Ophelia
Polonius s daughter, a beautiful young woman with whom Hamlet has been in love. A sweet and
innocent young girl, Ophelia dutifully strives to obey her father and her brother, Laertes, allowing
Polonius to use her in his scheme to spy on Hamlet. When her father dies, her sanity unravels, and in
her madness she paints a scathing picture of young men as sexually exploitative and unfaithful, and
her mad speeches about flowers conceal implied condemnations of Claudius and Gertrude.
Laertes
Polonius s son and Ophelia s brother, a young man who spends much of the play in France. Passionate
and quick to action, Laertes is a foil for the reflective and agonized Hamlet.

Hypothesis Testing Paper

Judith Geske
Hypothesis testing is the process in which an analyst may test a statistical hypothesis. The
methodology used by the analyst is based on the nature of the data used and the main goals of the
analysis. The main goal in this is to either reject or accept the null hypothesis. Through testing, results
will show that someone who may prove one answer, may not mean that answer is actually correct, for
there may be many factors that may change the outcome. For this reason is why researchers the five or
one percent probability rates. In this null hypothesis it will prove that there is no difference between
these variables. With the single variables it is also proven that there is no difference from zero.
Statistical evidence will later prove that if it is indeed proven to be fact or nullified based on the
evidence gathered. A null hypothesis is a process in which research may try to disprove, reject or
nullify the proposed hypothesis. In a study, the researcher may use the hypothesis based on a specific
testable prediction; this is based on a dependent and independent variable in a study. In result, the
hypothesis researched will match what the analyst is trying to prove to be true in the problem. The
first step one must take when testing a hypothesis is restating the question experience analyzed into an
alternative hypothesis and null hypothesis. The following scenario is as follows: Do

Labelling Theory Applied To The Criminal Justice System
2) labelling theory can be applied to the criminal justice system by the stigmatization of people it
creates. People which society deem are criminals are placed in a difficult situation of being cast out in
a sense from society. Felonies for example stay on your record and create a story about you without
context or understanding. Criminals also feel more secure with other criminals as stated in the
labelling overview article, Once the person accepts a criminal label, they will most likely begin to
associate with other criminals and increase their own criminal behavior (9), as that is where they will
feel the most comfortable and less judged. In the criminal s justice system, this creates a caste of
individuals who feel because of their

Essay about The Matrix

It is easy to confuse the concepts of quot;virtual reality quot; and a quot;computerized model of reality
(simulation) quot;. The former is a self contained Universe, replete with its quot;laws of physics quot;
and quot;logic quot;. It can bear resemblance to the real world or not. It can be consistent or not. It can
interact with the real world or not. In short, it is an arbitrary environment. In contrast, a model of
reality must have a direct and strong relationship to the world. It must obey the rules of physics and of
logic. The absence of such a relationship renders it meaningless. A flight ... Show more content on

A group of human miscreants succeeds to learn the secret of the Matrix. They form an underground
and live aboard a ship, loosely communicating with a halcyon city called quot;Zion quot;, the last
bastion of resistance. In one of the scenes, Cypher, one of the rebels defects. Over a glass of (illusory)
rubicund wine and (spectral) juicy steak, he poses the main dilemma of the movie. Is it better to live
happily in a perfectly detailed delusion or to survive unhappily but free of its hold?
The Matrix controls the minds of all the humans in the world. It is a bridge between them, they inter
connected through it. It makes them share the same sights, smells and textures. They remember. They
compete. They make decisions. The Matrix is sufficiently complex to allow for this apparent lack of
determinism and ubiquity of free will. The root question is: is there any difference between making
decisions and feeling certain of making them (not having made them)? If one is unaware of the
existence of the Matrix, the answer is no. From the inside, as a part of the Matrix, making decisions
and appearing to be making them are identical states. Only an outside observer one who in possession
of full information regarding both the Matrix and the humans can tell the difference.
Moreover, if the Matrix were a computer program of infinite complexity, no observer (finite or
infinite) would have been able to say with any certainty whose

There were several mom and pop butcher shops, clothing stores, banks, bakeries and a few small
shops selling specialty items from the area. It seemed that anything our hearts desired or we required
to set up our home was available in Marsciano. In an industrial neighborhood closer to approaching
the highway, I noticed a warehouse that appeared to be a Second Hand store. I was so excited and
asked Vince to stop so I could investigate. The huge store was filled to the rafters with used furniture,
house hold items, mirrors, doors, wrought iron and decorative objects. I was looking forward to
hunting for treasures when it was time to move in!
I must admit that we were exhausted when we arrived at B B Garibaldi. It had been an incredible day,
an important day, a successful day! Our search for our Italian Dream Home was over!

located next to a tire shop in the industrial neighborhood, it was also across the street from a winery
and the freshly brewed coffee smelled divine, the warm cornetti and pastries looked temptingly
delicious. Johannes arrived just as we were getting out of the car. He greeted us enthusiastically and

Eliot And His Problems In Shakespeare s Hamlet And His...
Eliot and His Problems
Among the twenty essays published by T.S Eliot in The Sacred Wood: Essays on Poetry and Criticism
, one cannot help but notice the provocatively titled critique of Shakespeare s play Hamlet, Hamlet
and His Problems . In his essay, Eliot argues that Hamlet is an artistic failure (Eliot 1). Again, he
bluntly states that one is to come to the irrefragable (Eliot 2) conclusion that Shakespeare tackled a
problem which proved too much for him (Eliot 4). Upon closer examination of the play in question,
one is to quickly find that Eliot s provoking thesis has no root in logic and common sense. In fact, it is
evident the title character s delayed revenge is validly explained in the protagonist s characterisation;
pathos is achieved throughout the play and that the emotion elicited by the dramatist in the main
character was expertly illustrated in the text contrary to the author s expressed opinion.
To begin, Eliot argues that Shakespeare s Hamlet is a non complete alteration of previous revenge
plays such as The Spanish Tragedy. For instance, he states that in the Shakespearean edition, the
theme of revenge is unexplained on grounds of necessity or expediency (Eliot 2). Again, he adds that
it is overtaken by a motive which is more important. Firstly, the author s argument is incomplete as he
fails to mention and argue the other motive which overtakes that of revenge. Also, one is to come to
the logical conclusion that the delay in revenge by Hamlet is

Music During The Baroque Era
Music during the Baroque era was regarded as a powerful form of communication that could invoke
emotions in the listeners. This philosophical belief was derived from a revival of the ideas of the
Greco Roman culture, and as a result, composers believed that they could also affect their listeners
through the power of melody, harmony, rhythm, and stylistic details. The emphasis on communication
was reflected in the major styles and components that were used throughout Baroque compositions.
Baroque music is characterized by the composers attention to detail, such as contrast in dynamics,
ornamentation, and the emphasis on bass line. These characteristics of the Baroque era are reflected in
Antonio Vivaldi s compositions. Known as one of the most popular pieces in Baroque repertoire,
Vivaldi s The Four Seasons, a violin concerto, reveals how composers of the Baroque period used
different techniques to invoke emotion through the powerful communication of music. The Four
Seasons perfectly represents the Baroque period because of Vivaldi s elaborate style, developmental
techniques, and theme of emotional impact and contrast. During the Baroque period, composers tried
to convey emotions through contrasts in tonality, idiomatic writing, and ornamentation. The Columbia
Electronic Encyclopedia stated that the baroque period was one of stylistic duality, and it was an era
that displayed emotional extremes. Major and minor tonality surfaced, as well as idiomatic writing (

The Regulation Of Thermal Energy On An Animal Model
INTRODUCTION
Thermal energy is constantly being transferred from matter to the surrounding. The methods by which
heat can be transferred are conduction, convection and radiation. Conduction is the transfer of energy
from one object to another by contact and it will depends on factors such as surface area of the objects
and thermal conductivity, k, is the property that indicates how good conductor of thermal energy is
certain material (2). Convection is the transfer of energy due to a bulk motion of a fluid and can only
be experimenter by liquids or gases (2). Finally, radiation is caused by the thermal motion of charged
particles in matter (2). The current experiment will investigate the differences on the rate of heat
transfer due to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The expected ambient temperature was 5 15 °C during day and 20 30 °C at night. Due to the
transparent colour of the materials allow heat transferred by radiation, it was expected that
temperature inside the house followed ambient temperature. However, acrylic is considered a good
insulator; therefore it will decrease the amount of heat transfer by conduction.
Part B and C: Revised design and rebuilding the house model
The current model house was built for humans, whereby the optimal temperature conditions inside the
structure were aimed to be between 15 35 ᵒC, with an average temperature of 25 ᵒC (room
temperature). Due to results from the first house model showed that the structure could reach
temperatures higher than 50 ᵒC (Figure 1), the aim of the second model house was to moderately
decrease the temperature inside the structure, so it could be suitable for humans.
The materials used for the construction of the structure were white timber for the roof, black timber
for the walls and wool carpet for the floor. Firstly, the roof was the part of the house that has more
contact with sunlight during day and thereby it was the major area of the house that controls heat
transfer. White timber was used to in the sloped and flat roof because its withe colour would reflect
most of heat coming from sunlight (whitebodies are known as good reflectors). Moreover, thermal
conductivity of timber is low (0.14 W/m K), thus it would decrease heat being

River Otters River Otters are a species found on 5 out of 7 continents in the world. They have short
legs that allow them to swim, walk, groom, and manipulate their pray effectively. Generally, they are
various shades of brown, but they have a darker dorsal, and a lighter ventral. Their head, eyes, ears,
nose, and teeth are beneficial for them when hunting prey, and when being hunted. River Otters have
unique characteristics, features, and lifestyles that allow them to be not only adorable, but important to
many ecosystems. A River Otters classification begins with the Domain Eukaryote. The Kingdom

Imperial River and Estero River see them quite often playing in the water and scurrying along the
banks. Visitors spot them sliding across the path from one lake to another (Stetson). Based on the body
and needs of River Otters, it is essential that they are near water. Their swimming skills and diet also
affect the need for them to be near water. Although River Otters can be found on every continent, they
are commonly found throughout Canada and the United States. They enjoy saltwater environments
like rivers, lakes, marshes, and estuaries. They have no tolerance for dirty water, but can endure warm

Agrippa s Justification
The enigmatic nature of justification, as written by the ancient Greek philosopher Agrippa, poses
several problems within the world, both in its history and its future. In its entirety, Agrippa s Trilemma
provides rather bleak alternatives to what actually justifies our beliefs. Upon review, an implication
arises that makes people question if they can truly validate their own views; soon, feeling content
holding an original belief becomes next to impossible. In order to further understand this concept, it is
important to analyze each of the three responses associated with Agrippa s Trilemma. The first
response, commonly termed Infinitism, states that an infinite chain of justification can support beliefs.
The second response, Coherentism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main argument given by Coherentists declares that justification for one s belief is related to the
other beliefs one holds, or the distinctive and worldly perspectives important to each person. This is a
much more logical theory than Infinitism as it much more realistic to have beliefs justified by the way
that one experiences the world. The remarkable aspect of coherentism is that one person s justification
can be identical to that of another individual, but the shared justification could be used for different
beliefs. For example, imagine that there are two people driving a car out of their respective
neighborhoods. One of the drivers accidently runs the stoplight when pulling out of the neighborhood,
and the other neighbor is driving a stolen car. When each driver sees a cop pull out of a street near the
path of his or her cars, the first motorist will most likely use his observation to justify his belief that
the cop is following him due to his traffic violation. The other motorist will most likely use his
observation of the cop to justify his belief that the cop is coming to arrest him for driving a stolen car.
Paradoxically, it turns out the cop is simply trying to pass each car in order to get to the scene of a
crime. This example is a textbook representation of coherentism, yet it also points out that even
though we have a tendency to form beliefs in a certain way, we shouldn t necessarily form them that
way as they can be

The Effect Of Body Cameras On Use Of Force Incidents
Methods I wish to replicate the methodology utilized by Ariel, Farrer, and Sutherland (2015). These
researchers conducted a randomized controlled study with the Rialto Police Department in California.
The purpose of their study was to observe the effects of body worn cameras on the frequency of use of
force incidents as well as citizens complaints. In my research study, I will test only the effect of body
worn cameras on use of force incidents. I propose to study the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police
Department in Indianapolis, Indiana. This research setting is a lot larger than Ariel, Farrer, and
Sutherland s study. The Rialto Police Department covered an area of approximately 28.5 square miles,
and they served a population of approximately 100,000 residents. IMPD covers an area of
approximately 364.3 square miles, and serves approximately 824,000 residents. Rialto has 115 sworn
officers whereas IMPD has 1,080 sworn officers (IMPD n.d.). I propose to divide IMPD s six districts
in half. Three districts will be the treatment group while the other three districts will be the control
group. This should be approximately 540 total officers per group. The districts will be randomly
assigned to either by a treatment or a control group, and it will change weekly. For example, the North
District may be a treatment group one week and a control group the next week. I feel that if the
department is split up and randomly assigned a group each week that the data will be more

Personality Tags for Birth Order
Is there a personality tag for each child, depending on their birth order? Does the family size, or even
the parents life styles, affect anything? Birth order is more than just an old wives tale about predicting
the personalities of each child in every family. Birth order, put in its proper context, is a key that can
unlock personalities and give you a new perspective on human nature. (First born?,1). Every child of
every family has a personality tag, just because of their spot on the immediate family tree. Family size
and birth order are factors that make the personality tag for the first born, middle child, last born, and
only child of each family. Family size affects every child s personality. Birth order and family size are
linked together. For example, if there are two children in a family, there is a 50% chance of being the
first born. Families with five children give each child a 20% chance of being the first born child.
Every child has a chance at being the first born, but the larger the family, the lower the chance.
Speaking of lower chances, there are fewer resources as well. If a family has many children, parental
resources are spread thinly; for example, money, time, and attention. Ethnicity, wealth, education, and
other social factors of parents also affect the family size. But, parents that are better educated,
comfortable, and wealthier, usually have fewer children, so does this mean these children have more
resources? The answer is yes. These

How Did John Lomax Influence Modern Popular Music
Introduction
Throughout this discussion I will be making a series of arguments that support the changes to modern
popular music that were induced by John and Alan lomax. As the work they achieved is vast, I have
broken it down into various sub categories to facilitate better analysis.
Academic
Being initially raised in the presence of cowboys it comes as no surprise that John Lomax became
interested in cowboy ballads from a young age. His parents believed that education was important and
sent John to college for a year in 1887. With his new found qualification, John became a Principle and
teacher. In 1895 John went on to further his education by studying a Bachelor Degree at the University
of Texas, signing up for double the amount of classes. In 1897 John graduated with a major in English
literature. From this evidence it seems very reasonable to suggest that John Lomax was an academic.
It was during this time John showed his ballad collection to an English professor, but it was not seen
as being something worthy of academic pursuit. John, disappointed, burned his whole ballad
collection. In 1906 he went on to study at Harvard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It can also been seen how new forms of music was formed by their influence. It seems reasonable to
suggest that skiffle would never have developed in the 1950s if it were not for the dissemination of
songs by certain artists the Lomaxs had discovered. Ledbelly songs, for example, were covered by
artists such as Lonnie Donegan, whom had huge influence in this new genera of music themselves.
For example, iconic artists such as John Lennon, Jimmy Page and Mick Jagger all started in Skiffle
bands. Many artists of this time were coving songs by artists that would not, I suggest, have be heard
if it were not for the Lomaxs involvement in disseminating and promoting

Porphyrin
There are many unique compounds that can be synthesized using methods of chemistry that are serve
as biological importance in the human body. Porphyrins are an example of one of these compounds
and it helps create many substances utilized by the body, like hemoglobin (National Library of
Medicine, 2013). Porphyrin, when it is in its purified form, can be mixed with several metals to form
metalloporphyrins, for example if magnesium s the metal mixed with the porphyrin it can create
chlorophyll (Weldegirma, 2014). An important characteristic to porphyrin is that it is aromatic and this
is determined by utilizing Huckel s rule. Huckel s rule simply uses two different formulas, 4n+2 and
4n, and the amount of pi electrons present in a compound to determine if a compound is either
aromatic or non aromatic. One must simply count up the amount of delocalized pi electrons present
and if it is satisfied by 4n+2 it is aromatic, but if it satisfied by 4n then it is nonaromatic. For example,
porphyrin has 18 delocalized pi electrons, it cannot be nonaromatic because if one ... Show more

A possible explanation for a low percent yield is that the starting materials did not completely react
with each other meaning that the reaction did not produce the full amount of product possible, which
could be avoided by allowing the reflux to continue for more time. For copper tetraphenylporphyrin
the theoretical yield was 0.023g and the actual was 0.0274g, making the percent yield 118%. Possible
explanation for a large percent yield could have been due to the product not being completely dry
when being weighed or the presents of contaminates in the final product. A TLC was conducted during
the synthesis of tetraphenylporphyrin; this is useful in monitoring the progression of the reaction
because it helps identify what is present in the reaction in terms of starting materials and

Administrative Assistant Research Paper
2016 Administrative Assistant s Goals for CAR
I know that I do not have too much time working for CAR. But there are at least two goals that I
would like to achieve in my position as an Administrative Assistant.
CAR email approach to Patron
Since we re living in a technological time of high expectation, the same applies to customer service.
People want to see how their needs are being taken care right away. I know this isn t always possible,
but at least we should try to find a balance between the client s hurriedness and the office
responsibilities. Therefore, as one of my goals is the patrons to feel their questions are taking care as

It has been a great help for my working development as an Administrative Assistant at CAR.
However, this manual is limited on information. It missed most of the step to follow for processing

Therefore is my desire to create a manual that easy walk out the employee to learn his/her duties at

the job with images, list of the Adm. Assistant daily function (from opening at 9a.m. or how to proper
close the Center at night). It will have pictures of people/places to be familiar with, will include how
to efficiently achieve Dr. Burt especial request such as, his class, filing documents, or backing out his
calendar, More important, this manual will include an attached section on how to do limited research.
I know this may be seen as too idealistic, mainly because every day I am learning something new, so I
am aware this is a long time project. However, for my personal experience, when I think how useful
this project will be, and the hours of training or continues interruptions that will save to our staffs the

Gome Key Marketing Problem
IDENTIFICATION OF KEY MARKETING PROBLEMS
1. Key Marketing Problems Faced by Gome in 2000
In 2000, Gome Electrical Appliances was one of the biggest home appliances retail chain in China
with an annual turnover of RMB 2.6 billion and 21 retail outlets spread across Beijing, Tianjin,
Shanghai, Chengdu and Chongqing. It was the market leader in color television market and color
television accounted for 60 70% of Gome s turnover in 1999 and 70 80% of those were supplied by
domestic brands. The key marketing problems faced by Gome in 2000 are enumerated below:

The response of the consumer was very positive and Gome s belief in low price strategy was
reinstated. This breach of the rules set by the alliance led to another meeting of the nine members of
the alliance to decide on measures to compete with Gome. If the alliance step up its actions against
Gome, Gome should try and reach an agreement with Changhong whose inventory was to the tune of
1.68 million television sets as of May 2000. It would be a win win situation for both Changhong as
well as Gome. As it is quite evident from the price cuts in Prima color TVs that customers still
welcome low prices, this could give great competitive advantage to Gome. At the same time it should
expand its network to the rural areas and upcoming urban areas and start capturing more market share.
At the same time, Gome should also use its goodwill with foreign brands and use this opportunity to
lure foreign investors into the market. This opening into the growing China market for foreign brands
would enable Gome to better negotiate with them and achieve lowest prices for its products. This in
turn would enable Gome to offer more variety to its customers. In the meantime, Gome should raise
public awareness against this alliance and create a backlash in the market. All these steps would
definitely weaken the alliance and force them to retract. In the meantime, Gome should also start

HOW DIFFERENT ARE BRANDING STRATEGIES IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY

Abstract
The objective of this paper is to analyse the branding strategies used currently in the pharmaceutical
industry and compare it to the best practices in Fast Moving Consumer goods. First the authors review
the differences in the way branding is defined and organised in

Branding, however, represents a new competitive advantage that could be leveraged by the industry, in
line with the success seen in the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) area over the last two decades.
Branding strategies could then help to maximise return on investment for new products whilst helping
to alleviate the inevitable growth of generics in the future.

The objective of this paper is to first investigate what is the current branding situation in the
pharmaceutical industry and how it compares versus the FMCG experience; second develop a
rationale for branding; third to analyse how pharma s existing branding strategies differ versus current
best practise in the FMCG area e.g. in the choice of brand name strategies, global branding, brand
extension, co branding and brand portfolio management and then finally to recommend actions that
could make a difference resulting from the lessons learned from successful FMCG branding.

Brand definition
Traditionally when a pharmaceutical product is launched the product positioning is based on the
product licence i.e. its indications and the established efficacy, safety and tolerability seen in
registration clinical studies. Post launch studies then tend to lead to a broadening of the
indications, the development of new dosage forms and the strengthening of claims versus the
competition (Moss 2001).

External Affairs Power In Australia
Introduction
Section 51 (xxix) of the Constitution of Australia grants exclusive power to the Commonwealth to
legislate with regard to external affairs. Since its inception, through the development of case law, the
external affairs power has been found to consist of three limbs:
1. Relations with other countries
2. Matters geographically external to Australia
3. Implementing treaties within Australia
In this essay, it will be seen that the expansion of the external affairs power since Federation reflects
Australia s growing independence from a Dominion of the United Kingdom and its transition into
nationhood.
In order to be recognised as an independent state, a country or nation must satisfy five vital elements.

A major part of this limb is to develop and enforce laws that aim to criminalise acts like that of
sedition or treason against countries other than Australia . By doing so it is hoped that relations with
external countries are preserved.
Another major aspect this limb deals with is that of Australia s relationship with the United Nations

A recent BBC news article reads Cannabis use raises psychosis risk Study and the Daily Mail warns
Cannabis use doubles risk of psychosis for teenagers . Such headlines give the impression that there
has been a clear causal relationship found between smoking cannabis and the development of mental

Due to the lack of experimental control, large participant samples are required in order to look for a
connection between cannabis use and psychosis. This further reduces researchers ability do large scale
studies looking directly at the effects of cannabis use. It is not economically feasible to diagnose an
follow a large cohort of participants using objective clinical measures. This means that the validity of
the research is stretched further, as cost effective means of measuring psychoticism and cannabis do
not use direct measures. Psychoticism is generally inferred by way of self reports from individuals on
whether they have experienced psychotic symptoms. This might introduce confounds, and further
reduces the likelihood that self reports of incidence psychotic symptoms are truly indicative of
cannabis being a causal risk in developing a mental illness. For example, participants may become
aware of the purpose of the study and worry about drug use having an effect, thus start to actively look
for and remember such incidences, more so than non users.
Due to ethical, funding and time constraints, it is incredibly difficult for researchers to get a clear
picture of the effect cannabis use has on the development of mental illnesses such as schizophrenia.
The field of research is marred with problems, there is still

How Yoga Can Help Relieve The Stress That College Students
One would be hard pressed to find a college student who does not deal with high levels of stress.
According to the American College Health Association s annual assessment last year, approximately
53% of college students reported experiencing above average levels of stress (ACHA). What s more,
30% of those students said stress had a significant negative impact on their academic performance
(ACHA). Unfortunately, attending college requires students to take on unavoidably stressful
situations, such as paying for tuition and living expenses, rigorous coursework, and other social and
family related obligations. Since the sources of stress cannot be eliminated for the most part, the best
way to students to successfully navigate their college education is to learn methods for stress
management. One of these methods is to practice yoga. In this paper, I hope to demonstrate how yoga
can help relieve the stress that college students experience by explaining the physical and mental
benefits of developing a yoga practice. In addition, I will address the limitations that college students
in the United States may face when getting involved with yoga, and in turn offer solutions to these
limitations. First, I will give a brief overview of the history of yoga and explain what it is. The word
yoga means to unite or connect. It is a spiritual practice and system of discipline that originated in

is a story of a southern girl at a party consisting of Yankees. It brings her back to the time when she

they would guess the tip their customer would give before ordering. Yankees were the most difficult

The Yankees have a belief that all Southerners fit their stereotypical role, so the narrator plays up her
charm for them to make them believe as if they were right. She knows that the Yankees have a certain
perception of people down south and uses that against them to get exactly what she wants from them.
The short story s point of view is told in first person by the narrator. I m Working on My Charm is told
by a daughter who learns and exercises the advantages of the southern charm. It made her heavy
bosom move dramatically, and I remembered times I d seen her do that at the counter. It made me feel
even more embarrassed and angry, the narrator stated. In the quote, it shows that the narrator is
uncomfortable with the way the waitresses interact with customers just for tips. She doesn t think it is
fair to compromise her dignity, but still does it to make her money. By the point of view being told in
first person, the reader is able to read the thoughts of the character to understand their feelings. The
setting takes place in two opposite places. One took place in 1966 at a counter back of a Moses
Drugstore planted in the middle of a Highway 50 shopping mall, and the other was years later at a
party for the narrator s job located in the North. At that time, segregation had ended which influenced
the thoughts people had on the South. People from Northern states believed everyone from the South

The Life of Aristotle, the Greek Philosopher
Aristotle (384 322 B.C.) was a Greek Philosopher from the Socratic/Classical period in Athens,
Greece. Socrates developed a system of critical reasoning in order to determine how to live properly
and tell the difference between right and wrong. Aristotle was one of his followers along with Plato
and they made a commitment to the truth, and organized and systematized most of the problems of
philosophy. He is one of the most important figures in Western Philosophy and was the first person to
create a comprehensive system of philosophy.
Aristotle was born to an aristocratic family in Stagira. His father was the personal physician to King
Amyntas of Macedon. Aristotle was trained and educated as a member of the aristocracy. At age 10,
Aristotle s father died (which meant that he could not follow his father s profession as a doctor
anymore) and his mother also died young, so, he was taken under the care of a man named Proxenus.
At age 18, he moved to Athens to complete his education at Plato s famous Academy. Aristotle
remained there for nearly twenty years, first as a student and then as a teacher, until after Plato s death
in 347 B.C.. He left the academy because he wasn t chosen to be head of the academy since his ideas
diverged far from Plato s. In 335 B.C., Aristotle established his own school outside the walls of
Athens, known as the Lyceum, in competition with Plato s Academy. The Lyceum had a broader

Examples Of Historical Allegory In Tv Chandran Films
Historical allegory in TV Chandran Films
According to Ismail Xavier, the most interesting instances of allegory are those in which the surface of
the text either gives unsatisfactory answers to readers interrogations or remains overly enigmatic, thus
including a sense of recognition of the opacity of language and mandating the search for the concealed
meaning. Apart from mythical narratives, we are all familiar with fragmentary utterances, apparently
interrupted messages, suggestive juxtapositions of images that would seem enigmatic or completely
illogical If our reading was restricted to what is literally there on the surface. The prestige of
allegorical exegesis derives from its claim of solving a textual problem, of an illuminating the crucial
aspects of the text that are at the root of enigmas (Miller Stam, 2008). Keeping this in mind, the

Abstract
Purpose The paper aims to highlight the importance of corporate rebranding in branding practice,
which is neglected in theoretical treatment, so an extended theory is to be developed.
Design/methodology/approach From the literature, the existing state of the theory of corporate
rebranding is articulated. That theory is extended by the development of six principles and by case
research. The principles are illustrated in the case of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With corporate branding, organisational issues may well involve some changes, but the emphasis is on
getting all units to adhere consistently to policy and procedure specifications (such as common
letterheads or business cards, or the use of colours). However, with corporate rebranding, all units
need to be moved from one mindset/culture to another. Although there are some common issues, the
virtues of a corporate rebranding framework include: . explicit focus on how and to what extent the
corporate brand should be changed;
.
emphasis on justifying the brand revision both benefits and costs;
.
greater sensitivity to potential internal resistance to the brand change and thus a need for a well
structured change management program to get brand buy in; and
.
highlighting the need to alert all stakeholders to the new brand.
Shifting focus from corporate branding to corporate rebranding, we find less research or consensus.
An early academic paper on rebranding was Berry s (1988) summary of
Ogilvy and Mather s brand revitalisation program. A common trigger for revitalising brands is under
performance (Kapferer, 1997). Using renaming, a narrow approach to rebranding, both Muzellec et al.
(2003) and Muzellec and Lambkin (2006) found that structural factors such as mergers and
acquisitions were the main drivers of rebranding, with brand image improvement ranked lower. Before

Rama s Quest For Sita, Justice And For Dharma
The tale of Sugriva in the Ramayana is crucial to Rama s quest for Sita, justice and for Dharma. The
story serves a number of purposes within the Hindu epic such as giving the reader an understanding of
the relationship between brothers, friends, and rulers as well as giving us a complicated but important
look at a different side of Rama. Sugriva s story within the context of the Ramayana is quite different
than the others because of a few controversial topics and questions that come up while reading it. All
of them pertain to Rama and his development not only as the leader of the state but as a god. Rama,
the epitome of virtue and valor, is the incarnation of the Hindu god, Vishnu. As this incarnate of the
most widely praised Hindu god, there are certain qualities that are expected of him. These qualities are
exemplified throughout the Ramayana with the exception of one or two acts within Sugriva s story.
Rama s role in this tale seems to be a blemish on his otherwise virtuous and spotless history. I will first
present a synopsis of this tale in order to build a foundation for my argument that Rama is actually
justified in his actions with Sugriva, and towards Vali, which are so easily condemned as not god like.
Sugriva is the brother of Vali, the ruler of the kingdom of Kishkindha. Kishkindha is the home of the
Vanaras, a species of monkeys with human qualities who later aid Rama in retrieving his wife, Sita.
The kingdom of Kishkindha was disturbed one day by the Mayavi, a

As will be discussed below, lack of transparency is a common reason for many co owner lawsuits against condominium associations. The three (3) most common reasons for a lawsuit against a condominium association related to transparency issues is 1) failing to prepare adequate financial statements 2) failing to respond to requests to inspect the books and records of the condominium association and 3) failing to hold elections. 1. • 6. Academic Coaching With Austin Is Going Well Essay Academic coaching with Austin seems to still be going well. Except for the fact that he still forgets to meet with me... and we meet at the same time and day of the week every week. I don t know how to approach this topic with him again because I already went over it and expressed that I need him to communicate with me about his absences. I was talking with one of my supervisors about it and she believes that he needs to be the one making first contact about missing appointments, instead of just responding when I reach out. He just always seems to have such good excuses. This week he was at a review session for his midterm. I just need him to communicate. I really don t care if we reschedule later in the week but I hate looking like an idiot when he doesn t show up. This semester we have known that Austin will struggle in one of his classes, and he took a test and did poorly on it. Unfortunately, he had the pleasure of finding this out for the first time when he logged into asulearn in my office. I felt bad. Immediately his demeanor changed and I could tell that he was upset. I tried to use this situation to let him know that sometimes crappy situations happen but that isn t a reason to stop trying. Working with him for a while now has taught me that he needs to explore multiple options and talk them through with others. So I had him talk through all of his grades so far, and what he could do with all of the opportunities he has remaining. For example, in this class he has 11 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At the beginning of the play, Hamlet s father, King Hamlet, has recently died, and his mother, Queen Gertrude, has married the new king, Hamlet s uncle Claudius. Hamlet is melancholy, bitter, and cynical, full of hatred for his uncle and disgust at his mother for marrying him. When the ghost of Hamlet s father appears and claims to have been murdered by Claudius, Hamlet becomes obsessed with avenging his father s death but keeps thinking of reasons why he should wait before killing Claudius—then chastizes himself for failing to act boldly. Horatio Hamlet s close friend, who studied with the prince at the University of Wittenberg. Hamlet trusts Horatio above any of the other characters, valuing him for his even temper and equanimity—qualities that Hamlet seems to despise in himself. Horatio is loyal and helpful to Hamlet throughout the play. After Hamlet s death, Horatio remains alive to tell Hamlet s story. Ophelia Polonius s daughter, a beautiful young woman with whom Hamlet has been in love. A sweet and innocent young girl, Ophelia dutifully strives to obey her father and her brother, Laertes, allowing Polonius to use her in his scheme to spy on Hamlet. When her father dies, her sanity unravels, and in her madness she paints a scathing picture of young men as sexually exploitative and unfaithful, and her mad speeches about flowers conceal implied condemnations of Claudius and Gertrude. Hypothesis Testing Paper Monica Gschwind PSY 315 June 8, 2015 Judith Geske Hypothesis testing is the process in which an analyst may test a statistical hypothesis. The methodology used by the analyst is based on the nature of the data used and the main goals of the analysis. The main goal in this is to either reject or accept the null hypothesis. Through testing, results will show that someone who may prove one answer, may not mean that answer is actually correct, for there may be many factors that may change the outcome. For this reason is why researchers the five or one percent probability rates. In this null hypothesis it will prove that there is no difference between these variables. With the single variables it is also proven that there is no difference from zero. Statistical evidence will later prove that if it is indeed proven to be fact or nullified based on the evidence gathered. A null hypothesis is a process in which research may try to disprove, reject or nullify the proposed hypothesis. In a study, the researcher may use the hypothesis based on a specific testable prediction; this is based on a dependent and independent variable in a study. In result, the hypothesis researched will match what the analyst is trying to prove to be true in the problem. The first step one must take when testing a hypothesis is restating the question experience analyzed into an alternative hypothesis and null hypothesis. The following scenario is as follows: Do ... Criminals also feel more secure with other criminals as stated in the labelling overview article, Once the person accepts a criminal label, they will most likely begin to associate with other criminals and increase their own criminal behavior (9), as that is where they will feel the most comfortable and less judged. The Matrix is sufficiently complex to allow for this apparent lack of determinism and ubiquity of free will. The root question is: is there any difference between making decisions and feeling certain of making them (not having made them)? If one is unaware of the existence of the Matrix, the answer is no. From the inside, as a part of the Matrix, making decisions and appearing to be making them are identical states. Only an outside observer one who in possession of full information regarding both the Matrix and the humans can tell the difference. Eliot and His Problems Among the twenty essays published by T.S Eliot in The Sacred Wood: Essays on Poetry and Criticism , one cannot help but notice the provocatively titled critique of Shakespeare s play Hamlet, Hamlet and His Problems . In his essay, Eliot argues that Hamlet is an artistic failure (Eliot 1). Again, he bluntly states that one is to come to the irrefragable (Eliot 2) conclusion that Shakespeare tackled a problem which proved too much for him (Eliot 4). Upon closer examination of the play in question, one is to quickly find that Eliot s provoking thesis has no root in logic and common sense. In fact, it is evident the title character s delayed revenge is validly explained in the protagonist s characterisation; pathos is achieved throughout the play and that the emotion elicited by the dramatist in the main character was expertly illustrated in the text contrary to the author s expressed opinion. To begin, Eliot argues that Shakespeare s Hamlet is a non complete alteration of previous revenge plays such as The Spanish Tragedy. For instance, he states that in the Shakespearean edition, the theme of revenge is unexplained on grounds of necessity or expediency (Eliot 2). Again, he adds that it is overtaken by a motive which is more important. Firstly, the author s argument is incomplete as he fails to mention and argue the other motive which overtakes that of revenge. Also, one is to come to the logical conclusion that the delay in revenge by Hamlet is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Music During The Baroque Era Music during the Baroque era was regarded as a powerful form of communication that could invoke emotions in the listeners. This philosophical belief was derived from a revival of the ideas of the Greco Roman culture, and as a result, composers believed that they could also affect their listeners through the power of melody, harmony, rhythm, and stylistic details. The emphasis on communication was reflected in the major styles and components that were used throughout Baroque compositions. Baroque music is characterized by the composers attention to detail, such as contrast in dynamics, ornamentation, and the emphasis on bass line. These characteristics of the Baroque era are reflected in Antonio Vivaldi s compositions. Known as one of the most popular pieces in Baroque repertoire, Vivaldi s The Four Seasons, a violin concerto, reveals how composers of the Baroque period used different techniques to invoke emotion through the powerful communication of music. The Four Seasons perfectly represents the Baroque period because of Vivaldi s elaborate style, developmental techniques, and theme of emotional impact and contrast. During the Baroque period, composers tried to convey emotions through contrasts in tonality, idiomatic writing, and ornamentation. The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia stated that the baroque period was one of stylistic duality, and it was an era that displayed emotional extremes. Part B and C: Revised design and rebuilding the house model The current model house was built for humans, whereby the optimal temperature conditions inside the structure were aimed to be between 15 35 ᵒC, with an average temperature of 25 ᵒC (room temperature). Due to results from the first house model showed that the structure could reach temperatures higher than 50 ᵒC (Figure 1), the aim of the second model house was to moderately decrease the temperature inside the structure, so it could be suitable for humans. The materials used for the construction of the structure were white timber for the roof, black timber for the walls and wool carpet for the floor. Firstly, the roof was the part of the house that has more contact with sunlight during day and thereby it was the major area of the house that controls heat transfer. White timber was used to in the sloped and flat roof because its withe colour would reflect most of heat coming from sunlight (whitebodies are known as good reflectors). Agrippa s Justification The enigmatic nature of justification, as written by the ancient Greek philosopher Agrippa, poses several problems within the world, both in its history and its future. In its entirety, Agrippa s Trilemma provides rather bleak alternatives to what actually justifies our beliefs. Upon review, an implication arises that makes people question if they can truly validate their own views; soon, feeling content holding an original belief becomes next to impossible. In order to further understand this concept, it is important to analyze each of the three responses associated with Agrippa s Trilemma. The first response, commonly termed Infinitism, states that an infinite chain of justification can support beliefs. The second response, Coherentism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main argument given by Coherentists declares that justification for one s belief is related to the other beliefs one holds, or the distinctive and worldly perspectives important to each person. This is a much more logical theory than Infinitism as it much more realistic to have beliefs justified by the way that one experiences the world. The remarkable aspect of coherentism is that one person s justification can be identical to that of another individual, but the shared justification could be used for different beliefs. For example, imagine that there are two people driving a car out of their respective neighborhoods. One of the drivers accidently runs the stoplight when pulling out of the neighborhood, and the other neighbor is driving a stolen car. When each driver sees a cop pull out of a street near the path of his or her cars, the first motorist will most likely use his observation to justify his belief that the cop is following him due to his traffic violation. The other motorist will most likely use his observation of the cop to justify his belief that the cop is coming to arrest him for driving a stolen car. Paradoxically, it turns out the cop is simply trying to pass each car in order to get to the scene of a crime. This example is a textbook representation of coherentism, yet it also points out that even though we have a tendency to form beliefs in a certain way, we shouldn t necessarily form them that way as they can be ... Birth order is more than just an old wives tale about predicting the personalities of each child in every family. Birth order, put in its proper context, is a key that can unlock personalities and give you a new perspective on human nature. (First born?,1). Every child of every family has a personality tag, just because of their spot on the immediate family tree. Family size and birth order are factors that make the personality tag for the first born, middle child, last born, and only child of each family. Family size affects every child s personality. Birth order and family size are linked together. For example, if there are two children in a family, there is a 50% chance of being the first born. Families with five children give each child a 20% chance of being the first born child. Every child has a chance at being the first born, but the larger the family, the lower the chance. Speaking of lower chances, there are fewer resources as well. If a family has many children, parental resources are spread thinly; for example, money, time, and attention. Ethnicity, wealth, education, and other social factors of parents also affect the family size. How Did John Lomax Influence Modern Popular Music Introduction Throughout this discussion I will be making a series of arguments that support the changes to modern popular music that were induced by John and Alan lomax. As the work they achieved is vast, I have broken it down into various sub categories to facilitate better analysis. Academic Being initially raised in the presence of cowboys it comes as no surprise that John Lomax became interested in cowboy ballads from a young age. His parents believed that education was important and sent John to college for a year in 1887. With his new found qualification, John became a Principle and teacher. In 1895 John went on to further his education by studying a Bachelor Degree at the University of Texas, signing up for double the amount of classes. In 1897 John graduated with a major in English literature. From this evidence it seems very reasonable to suggest that John Lomax was an academic. It was during this time John showed his ballad collection to an English professor, but it was not seen as being something worthy of academic pursuit. Porphyrins are an example of one of these compounds and it helps create many substances utilized by the body, like hemoglobin (National Library of Medicine, 2013). Porphyrin, when it is in its purified form, can be mixed with several metals to form metalloporphyrins, for example if magnesium s the metal mixed with the porphyrin it can create chlorophyll (Weldegirma, 2014). An important characteristic to porphyrin is that it is aromatic and this is determined by utilizing Huckel s rule. Huckel s rule simply uses two different formulas, 4n+2 and 4n, and the amount of pi electrons present in a compound to determine if a compound is either aromatic or non aromatic. One must simply count up the amount of delocalized pi electrons present and if it is satisfied by 4n+2 it is aromatic, but if it satisfied by 4n then it is nonaromatic. If the alliance step up its actions against Gome, Gome should try and reach an agreement with Changhong whose inventory was to the tune of 1.68 million television sets as of May 2000. It would be a win win situation for both Changhong as well as Gome. As it is quite evident from the price cuts in Prima color TVs that customers still welcome low prices, this could give great competitive advantage to Gome. At the same time it should expand its network to the rural areas and upcoming urban areas and start capturing more market share. At the same time, Gome should also use its goodwill with foreign brands and use this opportunity to lure foreign investors into the market. This opening into the growing China market for foreign brands would enable Gome to better negotiate with them and achieve lowest prices for its products. This in turn would enable Gome to offer more variety to its customers. In the meantime, Gome should raise public awareness against this alliance and create a backlash in the market. All these steps would definitely weaken the alliance and force them to retract. In the meantime, Gome should also start ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A recent BBC news article reads Cannabis use raises psychosis risk Study and the Daily Mail warns Cannabis use doubles risk of psychosis for teenagers . Due to the lack of experimental control, large participant samples are required in order to look for a connection between cannabis use and psychosis. This further reduces researchers ability do large scale studies looking directly at the effects of cannabis use. It is not economically feasible to diagnose an follow a large cohort of participants using objective clinical measures. This means that the validity of the research is stretched further, as cost effective means of measuring psychoticism and cannabis do not use direct measures. Psychoticism is generally inferred by way of self reports from individuals on whether they have experienced psychotic symptoms. This might introduce confounds, and further reduces the likelihood that self reports of incidence psychotic symptoms are truly indicative of cannabis being a causal risk in developing a mental illness. For example, participants may become aware of the purpose of the study and worry about drug use having an effect, thus start to actively look for and remember such incidences, more so than non users. According to the American College Health Association s annual assessment last year, approximately 53% of college students reported experiencing above average levels of stress (ACHA). What s more, 30% of those students said stress had a significant negative impact on their academic performance (ACHA). Unfortunately, attending college requires students to take on unavoidably stressful situations, such as paying for tuition and living expenses, rigorous coursework, and other social and family related obligations. Since the sources of stress cannot be eliminated for the most part, the best way to students to successfully navigate their college education is to learn methods for stress management. One of these methods is to practice yoga. In this paper, I hope to demonstrate how yoga can help relieve the stress that college students experience by explaining the physical and mental benefits of developing a yoga practice. In addition, I will address the limitations that college students in the United States may face when getting involved with yoga, and in turn offer solutions to these limitations. Her mother had taught her the tricks of being a well tipped waitress while serving to a variety of customers. The waitresses each played a game where they would guess the tip their customer would give before ordering. The short story s point of view is told in first person by the narrator. I m Working on My Charm is told by a daughter who learns and exercises the advantages of the southern charm. It made her heavy bosom move dramatically, and I remembered times I d seen her do that at the counter. It made me feel even more embarrassed and angry, the narrator stated. She doesn t think it is fair to compromise her dignity, but still does it to make her money. By the point of view being told in first person, the reader is able to read the thoughts of the character to understand their feelings. The setting takes place in two opposite places. One took place in 1966 at a counter back of a Moses Drugstore planted in the middle of a Highway 50 shopping mall, and the other was years later at a party for the narrator s job located in the North. Examples Of Historical Allegory In Tv Chandran Films Historical allegory in TV Chandran Films According to Ismail Xavier, the most interesting instances of allegory are those in which the surface of the text either gives unsatisfactory answers to readers interrogations or remains overly enigmatic, thus including a sense of recognition of the opacity of language and mandating the search for the concealed meaning. Apart from mythical narratives, we are all familiar with fragmentary utterances, apparently interrupted messages, suggestive juxtapositions of images that would seem enigmatic or completely illogical If our reading was restricted to what is literally there on the surface. The prestige of allegorical exegesis derives from its claim of solving a textual problem, of an illuminating the crucial aspects of the text that are at the root of enigmas (Miller Stam, 2008). With corporate branding, organisational issues may well involve some changes, but the emphasis is on getting all units to adhere consistently to policy and procedure specifications (such as common letterheads or business cards, or the use of colours). However, with corporate rebranding, all units need to be moved from one mindset/culture to another. Although there are some common issues, the virtues of a corporate rebranding framework include: . explicit focus on how and to what extent the corporate brand should be changed; . emphasis on justifying the brand revision both benefits and costs; . greater sensitivity to potential internal resistance to the brand change and thus a need for a well structured change management program to get brand buy in; and . highlighting the need to alert all stakeholders to the new brand. Shifting focus from corporate branding to corporate rebranding, we find less research or consensus. An early academic paper on rebranding was Berry s (1988) summary of Ogilvy and Mather s brand revitalisation program. A common trigger for revitalising brands is under performance (Kapferer, 1997). Using renaming, a narrow approach to rebranding, both Muzellec et al. The story serves a number of purposes within the Hindu epic such as giving the reader an understanding of the relationship between brothers, friends, and rulers as well as giving us a complicated but important look at a different side of Rama. Sugriva s story within the context of the Ramayana is quite different than the others because of a few controversial topics and questions that come up while reading it. All of them pertain to Rama and his development not only as the leader of the state but as a god. Rama, the epitome of virtue and valor, is the incarnation of the Hindu god, Vishnu. As this incarnate of the most widely praised Hindu god, there are certain qualities that are expected of him. These qualities are exemplified throughout the Ramayana with the exception of one or two acts within Sugriva s story. Rama s role in this tale seems to be a blemish on his otherwise virtuous and spotless history. I will first present a synopsis of this tale in order to build a foundation for my argument that Rama is actually justified in his actions with Sugriva, and towards Vali, which are so easily condemned as not god like. Sugriva is the brother of Vali, the ruler of the kingdom of Kishkindha. Kishkindha is the home of the Vanaras, a species of monkeys with human qualities who later aid Rama in retrieving his wife, Sita. The kingdom of Kishkindha was disturbed one day by the Mayavi, a ...
