Barbara is Jewish and is assumed by her friends to be rich; a very old stereotype of Jews. This is
shown when Seth meets Barbara at the community center and assumes she is rich. His assumption is

The SAARC region with over a billion populations is contiguous to the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal
and the Arabian Sea. Utilization of ocean resources for power generation such as tidal, thermal solar
and wind for energy, along with other green technologies like seaweed farming and sustainable
fisheries for food would need to be incorporated in a broad framework for the region. Development of
ocean based energy systems can be integrated with early warning networks linked by satellite which
can give a few hours to days warning to help mitigate the severity of natural disasters on human life. .
Some of the calamities of note have been the Tsunami of 2004, Bangladesh and Orissa floods,
earthquakes in Nepal and Pakistan, and recent inundation of Chennai due to weather and bad flood

as medical miracles. They are rarely seen for their intelligence or for their accomplishments excluding

backgrounds of certain terms along the borders of the text. Using such words and providing their
definitions gives the reader a sense of feeling that what they are reading is important. This helps make

Does Africa have any history? Have the people of Africa made any significant contribution to
humanity? With the knowledge that the birthplace of humankind is Africa (Sanz, 2012, p.6), it does
make one wonder how a place that is home to millions of people was not able to establish a civilised
system until the European interactions that started in the 16th century. In this piece, I will explain how
the European imperialistic distortions of Africa s past has led to this general belief that Africa has no
history. I will also be using examples of some of the achievements of ancient Africa, to show the vital
part they have played in the advancement of humanity and civilisation for thousands of years. Finally,
I will be looking at the controversy surrounding the ancestral heritage of ancient Egypt, Kemet, and
how this view has changed over time.
It is important to note that Eurocentrism is not some sinister entity or collective, orchestrating a master

the Soviet Union. This war took place right after WWII and it is called the cold war because there
were no real battles such as with tanks and bombs. The history on the United States in war is that
before the cold war the United States had fought in 24 battles and they won 17 of them. The strength
and the courage that the United States has when they go to war are unbelievable. Their win to loss
