Sitting in class, I could not help but look around and notice that everyone else knew what they were

means that my brain processes information slower than the average. Although my hearing is normal, it

a focus on international politics, energy and the environment are not just a means to an end but instead
they are the focus of the work itself. Rather than studying business and needing energy to run things
effectively, the study of international relationships is in the business of dealing with these large topics
in energy reduction especially as they relate to reducing carbon emissions. The deeper one dives into
the real core of worldwide energy production the more complicated and hopelessly confusing it may
seem. With thousands of government policies dictating energy production, and hundreds of
governments acting around the world to come to agreements concerning emission and environmental
protection, the concern of global climate change as a result of carbon emissions has been seen by
many as beyond hope. However, despite overwhelming odds, in December 2015 a landmark
agreement was reached by 195 countries to decrease global fossil fuel emissions and attempt to
mitigate the effects of global warming. Just a few months later in April of 2016 it was signed into

The music world had many changes in 1975. Tony was not really a fan of popular music. His
preferences strayed from the pop to the bands he had enjoyed in past years: Traffic, Eric Clapton,

Cold Air Mass Lab Report
Introduction
Statement of Purpose:
The purpose of this experiment is to see what occurs when a warm air mass connects with a cold one.
The independent variable is the temperatures of the two sides, and the dependent variable is the time it
takes for them to start reacting. The control group is testing for the lowest amount of minutes (zero)
taken for the creation from the mixture, and the variable groups are the longer durations of time (up to
fifteen minutes).

On the other hand, if the colder air meets the warmer air, the colder air will weaken the warmer air,

Who Is Dexter Green
Dexter Green:
Dexter Green is our main character throughout the story. Dexter is born in Keeble, a Minnesota
village, but he later moves to Black Bear village, which is located 50 miles further north. He is the son
of Black Bear village s second best grocer and a Bohemian mother. Growing up in a middle class
family, Dexter also works as a caddie in Sherry Island Golf Club, but unlike many of the caddies he
has a reasonable life and is not poor like many of them. Dexter appears like an ambitious boy from the
beginning, and with a work ethic beyond the usual for a 14 year old boy. One of his main goals in life
is to advance and make a lot of money, which will elevate him up from the middle class that he has

He aspires towards social advancement and a life of wealth and success. In the first chapter of the
short story, Dexter s winter dreams are filled with high expectations associated with an upper class
life. A hundred times, he replays an imagination of a summer at Sherry Islands in which he beats Mr.
T. A. Hedrick in a marvellous golf match. Untiringly, he changes the details of the matches.
Sometimes he would win with laughable ease and sometimes he came up magnificently from behind.
His dreams of succeeding would lead to him being honoured by an admiring crowd. He would by then
have achieved an adequate status amongst the wealthiest of patronisers at the Sherry Island Golf Club
. The dreams and aspirations towards success and prosperity make him quit his job already at the age
of fourteen: I don t want to caddy any more.. I m too old, (page 1). He then hands in his A class badge

glimmerings things and glimmering people, instead he wanted the glimmering things themselves. F.
Scott Fitzgerald foreshadows the development of Dexter s American dreams: His winter dreams
happened to be concerned at first with musings on the rich... (page 2). Later, his real intention and
underlying American dream would turn out to take shape in a relationship with Judy Jones rather than
succeeding in business. It is no secret that by the end of the short story, Dexter and Judy Jones are
neither married nor engaging in a relationship. His real American dream is lost. This very sequence

Colour is in the art and the art is literature. Often, one depicts morality the concept of shades: a color
scheme that involves the gradation from lightest to darkest, which in most case, is white to black. In
such scale, the shades white and black represent two contrasting extremes as they parallel the idea of
morality, where white is right and black is wrong. However, the complication arises at the area
between the white and black: the grey. The grey area possesses no absolute verdict, for one can be
both morally right and wrong. Russian realist Anton Chekhov implements such perception as he
colours the story with white, black, and grey. An exploration of The Lady with The Dog serves to
examine his employment of colour in addressing the issue of morality, specifically regarding the
characters actions, and in part, the conveyance of his personal views of what is right and wrong.

Although the concept of morality in shades should not particularly be alien to the reader, Chekhov
does provide an interesting take of morality for instance, that he believes love, or feelings, to be an
important factor of human morale which he expresses using the colours white, black, and grey.
However, the reader should not expect to learn about morals through this story, as everyone possesses
his or her own opinion, but rather should reconsider what they value is right and wrong. The
exploration of colour in The Lady with The Dog proves insightful in understanding the author s
perspective towards morale of actions, even though Chekhov does not entertain the reader with an
