Social Cohesion And Its Effects On Society
Individuals create friendships, bonds, and relationships in society to strengthen not only that
individual s social cohesion, but the social cohesion of the collective community. Social cohesion
is used to maintain the structure and integrity of a society. There are many aspects of society
which draw individuals and groups, either closer, or further away from other individuals or
groups. However, many times social cohesion depends heavily on the act of inclusion and
exclusion of certain individuals from a given society or community. Exclusion or inclusion depends
greatly on financial status and resources an individual has. In recent years researchers have seen
variant decreases in social cohesion, and have seen governments take action in order to prevent the
downfall. In general, social cohesion is created through means of communication amongst a society,
along with the relationships, connections, and bonds formed within the society (Berger Schmitt,
2002, p. 405). However, it goes much deeper than just purely relations formed within communities,
social cohesion in itself has a lot to do with economic status and the ability to obtain and access
resources required to be able to partake in society and maintain subjective well being (Klein, 2011,
p. 900). Examples of resources that may strengthen social cohesion are; access to improved
healthcare or education, access to community centres, parks, public events, and employment.
Access to proper resources can bring communities

The Tabernacle Of Moses
The ancient tabernacle of Moses was a sacred and holy place for the people of Israel. It served as
a tool for the people to remember God and to look forward to their promised Messiah. The
tabernacle was so integral to the lives of the Israelites that they even built the tabernacle in the
center of their encampments during their journeys (Yom Kippur). The tabernaclealso served many
purposes for the Israelitesin their rituals, ceremonies, and beliefs of their religion. Many
practices that the ancient Israelites performed in and for the tabernacle anciently, may seem
peculiar to the modern thought process or many beliefs today. The main focus of the tabernacle
was the day of Yom Kippur, or Day of Atonement. On this day, the Israelites would gather and
watch as a high priest performed the rituals in the tabernacle that would rid the sins of the people
of Israel. This day and ceremony was a very important aspect to Israelites beliefs and the
tabernacle was the main tool for their ceremonies. The tabernacle and the day of Yom Kippur
served many purposes in helping the Israelites to remember their God, learn from symbols, and to
help them strive to obey their God s commandments.
To be able to understand the symbols and rituals that the Israelites did in the tabernacle, a
knowledge of the tabernacle s history, and specific instructions must be understood. In Mariuce

The island est.) was Christianized from the 5th century National Holiday: Saint Patrick s Day,
March 17 onward. Following the Norman invasion in the
12th century, England claimed sovereignty over Ireland. However, English rule did not extend over
the whole island until the 16th 17th century Tudor conquest. This led to colonisation of Ireland by
settlers from Britain. In the 1690s, a system of Protestant English rule was designed to materially
disadvantage the Catholic majority and Protestant dissenters, and was extended during the 18th
century. In 1801, Ireland became a part of the United Kingdom. A war of independence in the early
20th century was followed by the partition of the island, creating the Irish Free State, which
became increasingly sovereign over the following decades, and Northern Ireland which remained a
part of the United Kingdom. Northern Ireland saw much civil unrest from the late 1960s until the
1990s. This subsided following a political agreement in 1998. In 1973, both parts of
Ireland joined the European Economic Community [4].
Census 2011 results show that Ireland s population has continued to grow strongly since Census

Political Reform In The Period Of The 1820 To 1860
In the period of the 1820s to the 1830s there was a multitude of political reforms made. Most of
these reforms were made in an attempt to expand the power of the government. The most important
developments were the election of 1828, Jacksons use of veto power, and the re establishment of
the two party system.
The establishment of the two party system came at the end of the election of 1824. The election of
1824 was so close that the house of representatives had to choose the president. This caused bad
feelings and the Democratic party emerged as a result. People began to stay loyal to their party
rather than the ideas that a candidate had.
The election of 1828 was a sign of great political reform. By the time this election occurred most

Problems Facing The World Wide Web
Problems Facing The World Wide Web
While flipping through the old pages of a book on Speech and Communication, my eyes caught
the following lines of Marshall McLuhan: Someday the whole world would be a global village.
He was simply referring to the idealized concept of a diverse community where people of different
races and cultures would commune together (New York of today, for example). Little did McLuhan
know that his words will one day become literal.
That day is today! After the short dial up rattle of my ISP, I loaded Netscape Navigator into my
Windows platform. Within seconds, I pulled out my customized newspaper filled with every story

Today, hundreds of ISPs (InternetService Providers) are opening the gateway of the Internet for
millions of users around the globe. Connections are generally transmitted over POTS (Plain Old
Telephone Services) and connected to computers using modems. Internet does not simply consist of
the world wide web. There are many other components such as BBS (Bulletin Board Systems), FTP
(File Transfer Protocol), E Mail (Electronic Mail), Information Services, Newsgroups and many
more.
Today, with little or no cost, a user can setup his or her own web site. A domain address is
assigned according to the content of the site and once the files are uploaded, users around the world
can access the information from their terminals.
Our age is appropriately named the Information Age! Within the past decade, the computer systems
in our living rooms have been transformed from a simple commodity to an inevitable part of
American lifestyle. Our minds are constantly bombarded with Internet advertisements of all sorts
from all different arrays of media, around us. Internet is no more a simple reference library for

Dreamliner 787 Case Study
Boeing is the worlds largest aerospace company. While Boeing is known mostly known for their
commercial airplanes they also manufactures defense, space and security systems, military aircrafts,
weapons, satellites, electronic defense systems, launch systems and information and
communication systems (Boeing, 2013). In this case we are going to focus on the Dreamliner 787,
and the problems that came with the creation of it. The first Boeing 787Dreamliner was delivered
to Japan s ANA in 2011, nearly 40 months after the planned delivery date. The expected delivery
was in May 2008, but the fuel efficient 787 Dreamliner s manufacturing had become complicated
due to multiple changes in the design and supply chain implemented all at once. Far from the
traditional manufacturing, Dreamliner design consists of many new features like unique design,
one piece fuselage, reduced weight, 20% increase in fuel economy, and reduction in maintenance
time. Apart from the changes in design, another major difficulty was the company s global supply
chain network. For the first time ever Boeing outsourced two most critical parts fuselage and
wings. Everything put together, the complications kept increasing and so is the delay. At least
when the plane finally the entered the market years later design came out as expected, and there
weren t any sacrifices to the design that had to be made. The plane can hold from 210 250
passengers on routes of 7650 8200 nautical miles and satisfies the fuel

Reactions to Accepting a Newcomer in the Team
New team members are likely to be met with resistance by the rest of the team, as the group
starts to become suspicious and feels that it is more difficult to accept the newcomer. The
manager has the task of bringing balance into the team by emphasizing the reasons for which
the new member of the team arrived. In order to avoid paranoia from affecting the whole team
and thus making it less productive, the manager needs to get actively engaged in creating a
strong connection between the newcomer and the rest of the team. He or she needs to act as
fast as possible so as for the team to experience little to no problems. Existing team members are
likely to consider that a newcomer is a threat and that he or she is going to generate a lot of
negativity within the team as he or she is not equally experienced in dealing with situations that
the team is accustomed to going through. Old timers are typically inclined to believe that the
overall productivity of the team will be negatively affected by the arrival of a newcomer, as he
or she needs to be instructed in regard to his or her tasks and as the rest of the team is probable to
lose important resources in the process. Although team turnovers can create a lot of problems
within a group, they can also have positive effects on the team because of the new ideas and
unbiased thinking that is being brought into the group. A team turnover can provide the group with
a series of opportunities and one of the most important is related to

The First Jewish Roman War
As briefly stated in the previous section of this paper, John was writing to both Jewish and
Gentile Christians, post the First Jewish Roman war. The era of his writing and the audience to
which he was writing greatly affected what he was communicating with this passage of Scripture.
The logos in the 90 s CE would have been understood by Greeks through a Platonic and Stoic
worldview as a mediatory means between the divine and human realms or as the reason , the force
by which the universe was structured. Philo, a first century philosopher combined this
understanding of the logos with the Jewish conception of wisdom personified. Before the writings
of John s Gospel, the Jewish writings personified Wisdom as a divine mediator of God s person and
intent (see Proverbs 8:27; 29 30; 35 36). One can see how language like this shapes and forms the
understanding of Jesusthat John wanted to convey to his audience. The Hellenistic audience,
influenced by Plato would see Jesus as the mediating agent between heaven and earth, which was
confirmed by Jesus in John 1:51, while Jewish readers would understand the Word of God through
an Old Testament worldview as God in action, specifically in creation, revelation and deliverance.
Craig Keener talks of John s usage of logos in this way,
By calling Jesus the Word, John calls him the embodiment of all God s revelation in the Scriptures
and thus declares that only those who accept Jesus honor the law, fully (1:17). Jewish

The Physical Values Of Roger Federer And Ray Ban
Like Roger Federer, they are veterans in their designated field. Simply put, both Federer and Ray
Ban are timeless classics. Federer is arguably one of the most attractive men in all of sports. Of
course this highly relates to his great physical shape and facial features, but it is also about his
class, humbleness, and charm. As mentioned in the audit chart, Federer is considered a great
philanthropist as he has helped many people around the world and even has his own foundation. In
many ways, he can be thought of as the perfect gentleman . The perfect complimenting accessory
for an attractive gentleman such as himself is a classic pair of aviator Ray Ban sunglasses.
Of course, attractiveness is only one part of this equation. As mentioned previously, trustworthiness
may be more important for actual purchase persuasiveness. Federer s credibility adds tremendously
to his trustworthiness. He may not have won a grand slam title in 2015 or 2016 but he was still
ranked in the top 3 in the world, and has a great tract record that has proven his ability to still
compete and dominate. When Federer chooses a brand of sunglasses to wear, consumers can be
confident in his choice. Much like Federer, Ray Ban does not have to prove the value of their
product. They have both been around for a long time, and understand what it means to be great.
Another major reason for I would propose this sponsorship is due to Federer apparently not
currently having a sunglasses sponsor. He has some

Qin Shi Huang And The Unification Of China
As centuries pass, historians are still able to remember the achievements attained by the first
emperor of unified China. Although known as a ruthless ruler, we can acknowledge that the
successes he had were lasting and helpful for the future of China. Qin Shi Huang became the
first emperor of China at 220 BCE after his uncle passed the throne onto him and founded the
Qin Dynasty. During this time period, China was divided into many kingdoms. Qin s main goal
in life was to unify China under his rule. In order to do so, he waged war against the other six
major kingdoms. By 221 BCE, he was able to unify China under his rule. It was the first time that
China became unified. Qin Shi Huangwas able to create a large impact on China s history due to
the starting the idea of the Great Wall, developing a system of writing, and the unification of China.
Qin Shi Huang inherited the throne at the age of thirteen and was named as the Chinese head of
state of Qin. At the age of 38, Qin renamed himself the first emperor and called himself Shi
Huangdi. When he named himself as Shi Huang Di, he chose it because huangdi would tie
himself to the first king since he believed Huang outranked wang . During that time period, wang
was known to be king. He used di because it meant he had the divine right to rule, and shi meant
he was the first emperor of China. All in all, his name combined means the first emperor of
China. He changed his title because he believed that he deserved it since he was able to establish
a unified China. Qin Shi Huang did not recognize the past rulers as emperors because the past
rulers did not rule a unified state. He was then known as Qin Shi Huang to rulers after him. The
country was wealthy and powerful when Qin Shi Huang ruled the kingdom but after Qin died, the
dynasty fell apart.
Qin Shi Huang had a large impact on China s culture. He helped implement canals and roads for
easier travel. He started the imperial road system and created fast roads. He was extremely
influential in China s government. Qin declared that the round coins with a square shaped hole in
the center will be the currency of China. He named it the bang liang coin. The first emperor was

If you are living in that community, most of the children there do not even have the opportunity
to eat as much as they want or drink as much water as they want because of the lack of supplies.
Since these necessities are not even being met, then going to school to get an education is out of
the question. These kids are also too young and uneducated to try to do the jobs that pay well, so
they have to live off spare change from people, which is why baseball is sometimes the most
important thing in their life. From the time they are little, Hispanic boys (mainly in those three

Analyzing Maus A Survivor s Tale
Art Spiegelman s Maus II A Survivor s Tale, is a well known graphic novel that depicted the
holocaust. Rewriting a story about the holocaust in the form of a graphic novel or comic as some
might describe it, probably seemed unusual and childish. Comics and graphic novels were seen as
lacking the educational equivalent people would refer to when researching or reading about that
specific point in history. Having a large amount of books relating to the holocaustover the years has
only made it repetitive because we are aware of Auschwitz and its terrible events. Art Spiegelman

Spiegelman helped portray Vladek s experience with diagrams of the camps, crematorium plans,
an actual photo of Vladek and a manual for repairing shoes. By using these visual aids in the
novel, it helped the reader to have a better historical understanding of the context and a face to
his father s name. It also assisted the reader in imagining a setting where this all took place. For
example, in chapter two, page 60 we see the diagram of Vladek explaining to the readers how he
fixed boots and considered himself a shoemaker. Here we can see the quick thinking that he used
to get himself out a situation that could have turned sour for the most part. He used his
judgement and resourcefulness to assist him against the German soldiers and turned himself
into an asset for them. On page 61 on the bottom right corner we see how his talents in repairing
shoes also rewarded him with food. On page 64 in the top middle panel, shows us the diagram of
what types of things Vladek would save to trade for food or vodka. He explains to Art that he
would save his cigarettes to trade for one portion of day s bread in order to send it to his mother
Anja to keep her alive. Vladek also worked with a number of his fellow Jews in order to survive.

techniques of waste heat recovery Essay
Techniques of Waste Heat Recovery
Waste heat recovery is being more used more and more often today as it is becoming more
effective, due to increasing energy prices, technological developments and a decrease in equipment
costs. Heat recovery can be classified into three main strategies: recycling energy back into the
process, recovering the energy for other onsite use and using it to generate electricity in combined
heat and power systems. Once the system has been made as efficient as possible before using
waste heat recovery, passive strategies are used. These have no significant input for operation
except for auxiliary equipment such as pumps and fans. The last case is active strategies, which

It is capable of operating at 300ВєC with around 70% heat recovery capability. They are used
where cross contamination between gas streams must be prevented in applications such as ovens
and steam boilers.
Run around coil exchangers
These are quite similar in principle to the heat pipe exchanger. The heat from the hot fluid is
transferred to the colder fluid via an intermediate fluid. One coil of this closed loop is installed in
the hot stream; the other in the cold stream and the circulation is maintained by means of a pump.
This application is used when the hot and cold fluids are located far away from each other and not
easily accessible.
Economizers
Used in boiler systems an economizer is used to pre heat the boiler water or combustion air using
the flue gas, in low to medium temperatures. These are used in domestic cases as well as in large
factories. They can increase the net thermal efficiency of a boiler by up to 15%.
Waste heat recovery boilers
They are ordinary water tube boilers in which the hot exhaust gases pass over a number of parallel
tubes containing water. The water is vaporized in the tubes and collected in a steam drum from
which it is drawn out for use as heating or processing steam.
Shell and tube heat exchangers

paths must be sealed to contain the pressures of the respective fluids. The shell contains the tube

Goodell, said that 9 out of every 10 native americans supported the name redskin as the Washington
NFL teams name. It was also discovered that 65.5% of native americans find the term redskin
offensive when used by non native americans. Based on these statistics, the NFL should bar the
Washington NFL team from participating in any NFL organized activities until they change their
team. Frankly, the Washington football team should change their name so, it would quit viewing

Reid believes that the NFL, who spent so much time over the possibility that the Patriots
potentially could ve probably deflated some footballs (a completely different topic for another
day), didn t spend enough time focusing on the Washington NFL team name. As Reid said, I find
it stunning that the National Football League is more concerned about how much air is in a
football than with a racist franchise name that denigrates Native Americans across the country.
The Redskins name is a racist name (Garcia). In this certain circumstance, many people agree
with Reid that the NFL prioritized over the wrong thing, especially when one s about a little air
coming out of the football and the other is discriminating against part of their viewing audience.
There was even 50 senators, doesn t include names but I assume Harry Reid was apart of those 50
senators, that signed a letter urging the NFL to force Dan Snyder quoting that the name is racist,
derogatory, and indecent to the Native American culture. If Dan Snyder would get past his
ignorance then maybe, just maybe, the D.C would allow the team to move back into the District of

The Life Of Lord Yu s Prison
Lord Yu s prison was a large room, furnished with a sizeable bed, two tables, and three chairs. A
few fur blankets, several changes of clothes, candles and two cloaks had been brought into the
room. There was a jug of wine, a teapot, and four plates of snack on the table. Despite the
accommodations, the man allowed dirt and dust to cake his body and didn t touch any of the food.
You ve ignored me for a week already, said Mei Changsu, after he entered the room. A week had
passed since he asked Lin Chen to make the arrangements for his visits. Every day, he sat quietly
for an hour while Lord Yu turned away from him and ignored his presence. Mei Changsu poured a

Liang warrior.
I asked for a Liang hostage knowing that Jingyan will come, said Mei Changsu. He took a sip of

entire pictures from a glimpse and can concoct plans from scraps of information.
Mei Changsu watched Lord Yu take a seat on his bed once again, this time with a cup of wine in

I arranged for Xia Jiang to arrest Jingyan so he would become aware of Jingyan s talents, said Mei

Once Xia Jiang saw Jingyan s aptness, he d predictably begun to consult Jingyan and rely on him,

Stakeholder Management Plan For Managing Stakeholder
1.MANAGING STAKEHOLDER EXPECTATIONS
1.1.DEFINITION OF A STAKEHOLDER
Before we go in depth into managing stakeholder expectations, we need to know what exactly a
stakeholder means in terms of project management.
Project stakeholders are individuals and organizations that are actively involved in the project, or
whose interests may be affected as a result of project execution or project completion. They may
also exert influence over the project s objectives and outcomes.
1.2.STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT PLAN
In order to manage stakeholder expectations, it is important to follow a well designed plan that can
tell you who are the most important stakeholders in a project and who should be given the most
priority and so on. A few stakeholders... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of the qualities that one would look for in a stakeholder are:
Ability to impact the project
Ability to enhance the project
Ability to remove impediments
Ability to lead opinions
Example:
I am currently working on a project which deals with variable annuity dynamic hedging for an
insurance firm, and some of the stakeholders whom we have identified are:
1.Underwriters (Drafting business proposals for the insurer)
2.Insurance agents
3.Zonal managers
4.Regional managers
5.Investment analyst
6.Claims analyst
7.Fraud analyst
1.2.2.ANALYZE STAKEHOLDERS Figure 1: Stakeholder Management Matrix
Figure 1 shows a basic framework that can be used to manage stakeholders based on interest and
influence. In the figure, the power on the Y axis can also be referred to as Influence and the
Interest on the X axis can be referred to as Availability .
There are 4 phases in the stakeholder management matrix :
Manage Closely
Keep Satisfied
Keep Informed
Monitor (minimum effort)
The people who fall in the phase Manage Closely are people who have high influence and high
interest. They are business owners and others with significant decision making authority and power
to kill, sustain or nurture the project.
It is the project manager s responsibility to set up consistent touch points with these stakeholders
and make sure they are happy.

Limitations Of Work Based Learning
Humans learn by doing. From birth individuals are learning how to do things by trial and error.
These skills are experienced and then subsequently learnt. Work based learning provides individuals
with the ability to experience situations and environments that they have not encountered. These
encounters allow students to learn and master the skills and knowledgepresented in the work place.
This paper will aim to demonstrate how work based learningis an effective means of learning.
Additionally, it will discuss the applications of work based learning and its capability to be
deployed in numerous different teaching situations. These situations may include initial military
training and advanced technical training for the Royal Australian Navy. Moreover, this paper will
aim to discuss the benefits and limitations of work based learning. As well as, how to incorporate
work based learning into a training environment to maximise efficiency and productivity. This is
achieved through the use of the experiential learning theory which illustrates teaching methods to
develop concrete experience.
Individuals are unique and require different learning strategies to cater for their educational
advancement. Work based learning is a concept that is defined in numerous different contexts.
Evans and Kersh (2006, p.6) state that work based learning is the stimulation of learning within a
formal or informal work place environment. Similarly, Mumford and Roodhouse (2010) suggest that

obervation and analysis, the made to order process can be more efficient if they redesign the
service buleprinting and line balancing, then they will not lose professional customers whose

customer is approximately spending 210sec from walking into the shop and making orders to finish

Ferguson Volcanoe Research Paper
The volcanoes in the north south trending cascade province evolved through subduction, addition
of exotic terranes, and oblique plate movements. The North American plate edge was located farther

The first cascade volcanoes erupted 42 million years ago (Ma) forming the older western cascades.

A major eruption melting the ice and snow could send debris flows, pyroclastic flows, and lahars
towards Puget Sound and the Seattle/Tacoma metropolitan area. Volcanic hazard mapping has
identified areas in the park that could be affected in the future by debris flows, lahars, pyroclastic
flows and surges, lava flows, volcanic projectiles, tephra falls, and lateral blasts. Longmire Village
and the Cougar Rock, Ohanapecosh, White River, Ipsut Creek, and Sunshine Point campgrounds

an emergency response plan to address these hazards. The reaction between groundwater and rising
gas and steam from the underlying magmatic system creates zones of hydrothermally altered rock.
Fumeroles at the summit of the volcano are one result of this reaction. Another result is the largest

Quality Of Life As A Good Life
Quality of life (QOL) means a good life and we believe that a good life is the same as living a
life with a high quality. This may seem evident, but it is necessary to make such a simple
clarification, because medical jargon often uses very narrow concepts of the quality of life (for
example, side effect profiles). Medical advertisements often depict the quality of life as one
factor among many, on a par with other improvements that a certain medical product promises. In
this work, the quality of life belongs on the highest, most common level of life. All great religions
and philosophies have a notion of a good life ranging from saying that a good life is attained by
practical codes of conduct to requests to engage in a certain positive... Show more content on

The objective quality of life reveals itself in a person s ability to adapt to the values of a culture
and tells us little about that person s life. Examples may be social status or the status symbols
one should have to be a good member of that culture. (Objective is used here in the sense of
nonsubjective or objective facts. Nonsubjective is concerned with the external and easily
established conditions of life that many observers can rate identically.) The notion of a good
life can be observed from subjective to the objective, where this spectrum incorporates a number
of existing quality of life theories. We call this spectrum the integrative quality of life (IQOL)
theory and discuss the following aspects in this paper: well being, satisfaction with life,
happiness, meaning in life, the biological information system ( balance ), realizing life potential,
fulfillment of needs, and objective factors. Well Being: The most natural aspect of the
subjective quality of life is well being. The quality of life is seen here in terms of an assessment
of one s own quality of life. When we meet other people, we always say, How are you? or How s
life? We are thus asking that person to give us an evaluation of their quality of life. Satisfaction
with Life: When people are asked whether they are satisfied with life, they often say that
something or other is amiss. People are usually less satisfied with life than their state of well being

The Loss Of A Stroke
About three years ago my grandfather had a stroke. When we were at the hospital, the nurses told
my family that it was not a very serious stroke compared to how serious it could have become,
and that the likelihood of his recovery would be very promising. Seeing him in the hospital
impacted me greatly because my great grandfather died of a stroke. I was taken back by the
paleness of my grandfather s skin and his weak ability to talk or move his left side immediately
after. Now he appears to be able to function at almost the same rate he used to. I believe that
having a stroke instilled a fear in my grandfather that will forever change his attitude toward
enjoying life and doing the things he used to. Since his stroke, he refuses to hunt, fish, or do
many of the tasks he was used to and instead watches television and stays close to home. Stroke
is the fifth leading cause of death and adult disability in the U.S, (National Stroke Association).
Stroke is known as, the death of nerve cells caused by an interruption of blood flow to a region of
the brain, (Goodenough, 138). When a section of the brain is shut off, neurons cannot receive
enough oxygen and glucose that they need and die. The seriousness of the stroke depends on where
the interruption of blood flow took place. The destruction of neurons in certain regions of the brain
can cause the, abilities controlled by that area of the brain such as memory and muscle control are
lost, (National Stroke Association). There

McTeigue uses characterisation and cinematic techniques including camera angles, light and
music to convey this theme. The government uses oppression by establishing ridiculous laws
that force the people to fear the world without them. These laws include curfews, rethatching
free speech and getting tortured if they speak out. The media is also a way to control people
throughout their actions and behaviour, Fear is also instilled through the lies dispelled through
media sources that demonise undesirables such as Muslims, blacks and homosexuals. Example
when Chancellor Sutler uses the media for his own gain Lewis Prothero carries out orders of the
Chancellor . Chancellor Sutler is a character who is in control of the citizen s daily life in every
way. In addition camera angles are used to show his power within the state, example when
Chancellor Sutler is seen is the large in the screen, as the rest of his workers are seen small and
fearful, this symbolises that he has power over the people, by promoting the citizens to fear and
obey unlike using the media to convey his message across London as mind control . Chancellor
Sutler is message on the news becomes more unbelievable and contrived to the point where his
evil motives are obvious to the public. In the panning camera angle, when Chancellor Sutler was on
the screen the lighting was dark below him shows the public is no longer watching and that V s

Analysis Of Shakespeare s The Tempest
On Thursday 1st December 2016, the RSC s (Royal Shakespeare Company) production of The
Tempest was performed to an audience of around one thousand people at the Royal Shakespeare
Theatre in Stratford upon Avon. It was directed by the RSC s artistic director Gregory Doran,
whose version s aim was to break new boundaries in theatre making through its heavy reliance on
cutting edge technology to create magnificent spectacles and revitalise used tropes of past
productions. Being the first classical production to use live motion capture, Doran s imagination
severs Shakespeare s last play from some of its old ties and shifts it into the twenty first century.
The play begins in media res, enthralling the audience by immediately throwing them into chaos
and disarray from the very first scene. Martin Meisel states that the printed play acts as a manual
or a blueprint for performance and thus the RSC s performance, with its crescendo of thunderous
music, flashing visual projections and erratic lighting to mimic a storm brought the playwright s
words to life before the audience s eyes. It could be argued that the shipwreck in Act I Scene I
captivated the audience s senses by creating strong visual and auditory cues to invoke a sense of
enigmatic intrigue and perhaps fear at the frantic scene, placing them at the forefront of the
shipwreck itself. The spectacle of this nautical scene could also mirror the importance of expedition
and voyage during the 1600 s, whether such travels

The AT would be responsible because they allowed the athletes to be active in the conditions
they were in. An AT may use a heat index, which is a tool that calculates the air pressure in the
air and calculate the humidity in the air. This tool is helpful for the AT, so they can get accurate
calculations, and decide if it s ok for athletes to be active outside. Now AT s also are responsible
of the well being of athletes when it comes to their daily activity list. If an athlete is super active
in one day, and is being repeatedly exposed to heat, that could result in some heat illnesses
depending on the athletes well being. As an example an athlete is being exposed to the heat four
times a day, and has lost a lot of water. That could cause some heat illnesses, that could have been
prevented if the AT were to have recognized the amount of heat the athlete has been exposed to.
There will be a time when an athlete s core temperature exceeds its max. That is when the AT
must take serious action, and they must be able to handle the situation correctly. If an athlete s
core temp reaches over 98 degrees then that is a problem. The organs in the system will start to
shut off, and result could lead to death. Also the information in this article connects to the basic
assignments of a regular AT. For instance the characteristics of some heat illness, so when the time

neonate had stabilized, so the nurse and I were preparing for the family to discharge from the

diaper/ angry cries. Immediate needs from the family were instruction on how much formula to feed
the baby and circumcision care once discharged home. During my clinical experience, the patient
experienced pain from the circumcision process. The healthcare team members alleviated the
physical suffering by administrating lidocaine pain medication and giving the baby sugar water. I
think the only improvement that I would make to these interventions would be to administer the
lidocaine earlier so that it could be more effective in the patient s pain management. Long term
needs for the patient were speech therapy in order to improve the baby s feeding technique,
infection prevention, and teaching measures for the parents. The needs could be met through
referral to a speech therapist upon discharge from the hospital, teaching family members proper
handwashing, and educating parents on subject matters.

My mother has always promoted sisterhood and support for women. Growing up, I was taught
that women, although we can do anything we want to do, need a support system, because we are
traditionally the underdogs, and we should not accept being treated unfairly. My mother likes to
tell a story about how, when she was a girl, she told her dad that she had decided to become a
lawyer when she grew up. In response to her proclamation, my grandfather, an attorney himself,

In life outside the office, forced sex on a date was not called date rape, but rather a bad night. Teen
mothers were solely responsible for the babies they had out of wedlock at that young age. If a
woman got married and changed her name, she would lose all her credit cards and have to
reapply for credit. Similarly, if she got divorced, all the money in the checking account she shared
with her husband would go to him, and she would once again lose credit. Domestic violence was
not the crime that it is today. In Texas, it was legal for a man to shoot his wife and her lover if he
caught them in bed together, but the reverse was not true.
Women everywhere in our culture were having similar experiences of unfair treatment because of
being female, so they banded together to improve their social and professional status. Women
created several support systems for each other, because they knew that the only way to bring about
change was in numbers. The League of Women Voters set a precedent over 50 years ago as a
successful organization made to ensure women the same voting rights as men. There are now such

How Does Grendel Cause Hrothgar s Downfall
Character development is very important in character driven literature, where stories focus not on
events, but on individual personalities. Character development is a literary device that is used
step by step in literature to highlight and explain the details about a character in a story. And the
stories that move us most, the ones that stick inside years later, are those inhabited by characters
we can connect with and admire. And no characters resonate more than those who in the course of
a story learned how to either give in or overcome their own flaws and weaknesses to which they
are remembered for. The rocky path of personal growth and development a characterundergoes in a

For the initial presentation of Jane Eyre, BrontГ« uses first person narration to introduce Jane to

women in the Victorian era were not educated enough to read such a novel; BrontГ« replicates this
by making most of her male characters rich and dominant. Additionally, BrontГ« may have written
the book so men in the Victorian era can see how women were mistreated which promotes

Roles Of The Puritan Society
Roles of the Puritan Society Puritans were English Protestants who were committed to purifying the
Church of England. After being religiously persecuted in England, the Puritans fled to North
America to start their new beginning. The Puritans maintained their Protestant beliefs with a
patriarchal family. Their family roles differed from other colonists that settled in America. In my
paper, I will describe the different roles that were established in the Puritansociety. The Puritans
society was based on an important organizational structure, the rearing of their children, the role of
the women, and the dominance of men in their society. Puritans conformed to their social roles
because it was deeply rooted to their religious... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

were learning how to cook and clean for their future husband. The female children were to be
prepared at all times to be married, since it wasn t their choice. All the work the children were
made to do required discipline and manners. The children had to be disciplined and well

awaiting for them.If a child was to speak profanity to their parents, they were killed,if a child
was misbehaving they were sent to a different family. The children had rules to follow, for
instance, they were expected to go to church daily which the church had rules set for the
children as well. The church had consequences if the children were to break one of these rules
for example, if a child was to sleep or laugh in the church the child would be hit with a knob
connected to a stick to stop their actions. The roles of females were meant to be caretakers, since
female were seen as a weak and supportive gender. The adult females were given simple task, but

Situation Of Indigenous People In Canada
Debate Response # 2
Do you feel the government is doing enough to address the situation of indigenous people in
Canada?
The simple answer to this question is no. However, many situations, history, and aspects, acts and
laws, need to be taken into consideration to have a full understanding of what the government has
done and has not done to help the indigenous people in Canada. It must also be noted that many of
the things the government implemented to help, actually backfired and caused more harm than
good. The Indian Act was established to ensure that First Nations individuals received protection
and certain consideration under Canadian laws (White, 84). However, this act in many ways caused
more harm than good. Residential schools were

Birth of a Worldview, a Review Essay
In Birth of a Worldview: Early Christianity in its Jewish and Pagan Context, Robert Doran attempts
to analyze the development of Christianity in the early period of its formation and how it related to
the Jewish and the pagan (Roman) religions throughout its development in early times. The text
begins with a historical outline of the development of the early Christian world and then delves into
a more theological analysis in the latter portions. The development of the book mirrors the
development of Christianityitself, which was focused early on with finding ways to worship and
expand the faith in a world that was very anti Christian. Once it had become more accepted
throughout the world, Christian writing and thought about... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Now that Christianity was favored, many Christians sought to suppress pagan religions. However,
the Edict of Milan promoted acceptance of all religions and so pagan practices were tolerated
throughout much of the fourth century, although this too was to change toward the latter part of
the century, when in 392 emperor Theodosius issued a decree which banned many pagan activities.
As a result of these elements, Christianity had seen drastic changes during a time span of
approximately one hundred years.
The following chapter, Cosmos: The Quest for Order, looks at the development of cosmology as
it related to Christianity during the religion s early years. The Christian ideas on cosmology were
heavily influenced by Stoicism and Platonism, two of the leading philosophic traditions of the
time period (34.) Both schools of thought followed the belief that the universe exhibited clear
signs of order in its design which were clearly the work of a creator.
The Stoic contribution to Christian theology was primarily with the concept of logos, or word,
which is used in the Gospel of John to refer to the Word of God (John 1:1 3.) Plato contributed
the idea of an incorporeal mind or soul which is separate from the body. Philo of Alexandria later
used this concept to explain the two different creation accounts in Genesis 1 and Genesis 2,
explaining that one relates to the world

The Life of Queen Elizabeth Ii
The Life of Queen Elizabeth II Queen Elizabeth II was born Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary
on April 21, 1926 in London ( Queen Elizabeth II ). Her father was Prince Albert, Duke of York,
and her mother was Elizabeth Bowes Lyon. Elizabeth was never meant to become queen (Smith
6). From the very start, her life never developed the way it should have. The leadership she
shows her, faithfulness, and her compassion tells her people she cares. The life of Queen
Elizabeth II isa true journey of an amazing Queen (Hardman 14). Elizabeth was very fortunate to
enjoy a relatively normal and stable family life for many years while her parents were just the

herself with dignity. She was Time Magazine s Womanof the Year in 1952 for providing a quiet,
well behaved fairy tale in which the world could believe ( Queen Elizabeth II ). In 1969, she
officially made Prince Charles her successor by granting him the title of Prince of Wales (Marr

rule of the Windsor family, Elizabeth pressured Prince Charles to marry. He finally decided to
marry in 1981. The wedding of Prince Charles to nineteen year old Diana Spencer drew
enormous crowds in the streets of London and millions around the world watched the
proceedings on television. Public opinion of the monarchy was especially strong at that time (
Queen Elizabeth II ). The following year, Elizabeth worried about her second son Andrew.
Prince Andrew served as a helicopter pilot in the British Royal Navy during the Falklands War of
1982. Britain went to war with Argentina over the Falklands Islands, a clash that lasted for several
weeks. While more than 250 British soldiers died in the conflict, Prince Andrew returned home

Reasons For The Housing Bubble
Introduction Housing bubble is basically a phenomenal increase in the real estate prices in local
or global markets to a point, where these prices are not sustainable and hence eventually decline
abruptly. One of the most detrimental housing bubbles that we have witnessed was the U.S
housing bubble, which was one of major reasons which led to the recession in the USA during
2007 2009. This bubble can be indicated by the fact that nominal housing prices had increased
by 188% from the year 1997 to the year 2006, and then again fallen by 33% by the year 2009 (as
per the S P/Case Shiller 20 City Composite Home Price Index). There have been numerous
explanations given by various authors and economists regarding the causes of the U.S... Show more

Another reason which can be associated with the emergence of housing bubble has been the
lowering down of lending standards by the financial institutions, which led to mortgage lending
being offered to less credit worthy customers. Further, another significant factor which contributed
to the U.S housing bubble were the affordable lending policies adopted by the government in the
early 1990s which encouraged or rather forced the lending institutions to offer credit exposure to
the communities and neighbourhoods with low and moderate incomes. Therefore, one can notice
that there are varied opinions and views amongst economists regarding the causes of the housing
bubble in USA and thus it becomes imperative to analyse those opinions further in order to arrive
at the most important cause (or causes) behind the U.S housing bubble. So, in my research, I am
going to investigate these causes extensively and put forward my analysis about how this housing
bubble was created, how it increased to unsustainable levels, the effects of the bursting of this
bubble and finally if and how it could have been avoided. Literature Review During my quest for
this research study, I was introduced to various thoughts, ideas and studies which further helped me
to do an in depth analysis of the topic. Many literatures have been studied by me as part of

Comparing Movies Minority Report And The Martian
Precious Okechukwu
Mr. Wynn Williams
ENG3U
19 December 2016 COMPARATIVE ESSAY ON THE MARTIAN AND MINORITY REPORT A
comparison between the movies Minority report and The Martian demonstrates how both movies
differ and what makes it significant on its own. Minority report is a movie that is based on the year
2054. It is mainly about a special unit of the police department called Precrime. Precrime is a
department that arrests murderers before they can commit the actual crime. The heart and brain of
precrime was based on the visions of the three precogs who were used to stop murder before it
happens and whose prophesies about the future events are never wrong. In the martian, after the
great storm attack the team leader, Lewis thinking that one of the ... Show more content on

In the martian, Mark said I m not gonna die here...None of these matter if I don t get to NASA .
Mark though he would die in mars but he changed his own fate. He changed it by making plans
for his life in mars and preparing ahead. In the minority report, one of the major question that was
asked was whether the future is accurate or whether free will could alter the future. We don t
choose the things we believe in; they choose us (Minority report, Burgess). This free will does
exist because when the murderers control their actions then, the precogs visions are but the facts
that occurred from their choice of action. John tried to change his destiny but since there was no
minority report which means there was no alternative fate for John, the only way he could change
his future was by his choice of action. The only similarity that can be found in their fate and destiny
was that they were both supposed to die but in the end, both changed their

Archetypes In O Brother Where Art Thou
Throughout the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou, classic storytelling through archetypes is
reworked into a more modern time in order to create the unique gem that it is. Archetypes are a
general persona of a character that is repeated many times through films and literature, they define
the character and give meaning to their roles. Archetypes have been used ever since stories were
made, from the Odyssey to even Percy Jackson. Archetypes tend to set the stage for the story, and
get revealed throughout the story adding more life and energy to it. Three examples of archetypes
expressed very well through characters in the movie are the hero, the alter ego, and the temptress.
First off, every story has it s own hero, a larger than life character that often goes on some kind of
journey or quest while demonstrating specific qualities and abilities . This describes the hero of
O Brother, Where Art Thou, a man called Everett, very well. Everett is the guy who starts the
trio s whole adventure, a man on a mission. He tells the other guys that the mission is to get some
treasure, but in reality Everett is trying to get his wife and family back. Throughout their journey,
he is the obvious leader of the group; the other guys look up to him and follow him in whatever
he does in order to get to the treasure . Everett shows that he is a hero is when, after Delmar and
Pete find out that there is actually no treasure and he just needed to escape with them because they
were all tied

The Importance Of Music Therapy
A bullet to the left of the brain almost caused Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords, a permanent
speech imparity. Gabrielle experienced aphasia (a language disorder that stops communication), but
she participated in music therapy for healing. She learned how to think straightforwardly by
matching the lyrics of the song to the rhythm and the melody. In the right side of the brain, singing
abilities occur, but on the left side people can work around the injury by dropping the melody after
they sing their thoughts (Harvard). Eventually, due to this music therapyprocess, Gabrielle
recovered and got her speech ability back. Even though music is used everyday as entertainment, it
can also be used as a treatment option to help people. Music therapyhas been able to help people
communicate and it has recovered speech and hearing imparities. Music therapy is the use of music
elements by music therapist to help restore and maintain physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional
health. Music therapy opens a path of communication for people who have trouble communicating
through words. Doctors should use music therapy more as a treatment in hospitals, nursing homes,
and rehabilitation centers.
Participating in music therapy was found to help people who experience self esteem issues and
depression. A scientific study was performed by a group of scientist in Poole, England to prove
whether or not music lessened the amount of depression a child felt. Bournemouth University in

The Arch of Titus Propaganda
In ancient Rome, much pride was taken in the way that Rome was presented to other nations.
Rome was seen as a powerful nation, protected and favored by the gods, ruled over by wise and
divine leaders. Ancient architecture served as propaganda to build and maintain this image of the
Roman Empire. The Arch of Titus conveys to the viewer that the Romans are favored and
supported by the gods. Many deities can be seen on this sculpture aiding Roman leaders, and
behaving as equals to the Roman emperor Titus. Winged women, symbolizing victory fly in the
spandrels, representing that the divine victory is belonging to Rome. On the north panel, divinities
are again present with the personification of valor, virtus , leading a chariot holding... Show more

Also, the spoils were once gilded to make them stand out. By showing the worth of the spoils of
this battle, the viewer sees Rome as powerful and successful in battle, this was the aim of the
artist of the Arch of Titus. The numbers of people in this relief panel also present Rome as
mighty. Soldiers are overlapped and carved at different densities. There are multiple levels of
heads, giving a sense of fullness and business to the sculpture. The amount of people on this
people makes Rome seem intimidating and great. Thirdly, the Arch of Titus presents Rome as
well governed and powerfully led. In honor of Titus, who had died when it was built, this arch
presents the ruler well. It shows him as powerful, equal with gods and fully supported by the
senate. To support and reaffirm the people s sense of security in their roman leaders, the sculptor
uses techniques to create a god like aura around Rome s leaders. Titus is shown celebrating
victory, leading a victory procession. He stands on a chariot with a winged victory, symbolically
being led by a valor . He stands taller than these deities, symbolizing his equality to them.
Additionally the genius senatus stands behind the chariot. He is bearded which shows his age and
wisdom. The presence of the senate member in the procession of Titus shows he has their support
in his endeavors. This is propaganda, showing the romans that they are in a republic governmental

Background: Sue is in a wheelchair having a hard day and aware of her current greasy and unkept
appearance. Dr. Birmingham approaches her and studies her unhygienic condition and verbally
degrades her.
Technique: Patronizing
Rationale: Dr. Birmingham s comment to the patient is inappropriate and talking down to the

to her personal hygiene needs.
Social Communication

  • 2. Social Cohesion And Its Effects On Society Individuals create friendships, bonds, and relationships in society to strengthen not only that individual s social cohesion, but the social cohesion of the collective community. Social cohesion is used to maintain the structure and integrity of a society. There are many aspects of society which draw individuals and groups, either closer, or further away from other individuals or groups. However, many times social cohesion depends heavily on the act of inclusion and exclusion of certain individuals from a given society or community. Exclusion or inclusion depends greatly on financial status and resources an individual has. In recent years researchers have seen variant decreases in social cohesion, and have seen governments take action in order to prevent the downfall. In general, social cohesion is created through means of communication amongst a society, along with the relationships, connections, and bonds formed within the society (Berger Schmitt, 2002, p. 405). However, it goes much deeper than just purely relations formed within communities, social cohesion in itself has a lot to do with economic status and the ability to obtain and access resources required to be able to partake in society and maintain subjective well being (Klein, 2011, p. 900). Examples of resources that may strengthen social cohesion are; access to improved healthcare or education, access to community centres, parks, public events, and employment. • 3. The Tabernacle Of Moses The ancient tabernacle of Moses was a sacred and holy place for the people of Israel. It served as a tool for the people to remember God and to look forward to their promised Messiah. The tabernacle was so integral to the lives of the Israelites that they even built the tabernacle in the center of their encampments during their journeys (Yom Kippur). The tabernaclealso served many purposes for the Israelitesin their rituals, ceremonies, and beliefs of their religion. Many practices that the ancient Israelites performed in and for the tabernacle anciently, may seem peculiar to the modern thought process or many beliefs today. The main focus of the tabernacle was the day of Yom Kippur, or Day of Atonement. On this day, the Israelites would gather and watch as a high priest performed the rituals in the tabernacle that would rid the sins of the people of Israel. This day and ceremony was a very important aspect to Israelites beliefs and the tabernacle was the main tool for their ceremonies. The tabernacle and the day of Yom Kippur served many purposes in helping the Israelites to remember their God, learn from symbols, and to help them strive to obey their God s commandments. To be able to understand the symbols and rituals that the Israelites did in the tabernacle, a knowledge of the tabernacle s history, and specific instructions must be understood. The island est.) was Christianized from the 5th century National Holiday: Saint Patrick s Day, March 17 onward. Following the Norman invasion in the 12th century, England claimed sovereignty over Ireland. However, English rule did not extend over the whole island until the 16th 17th century Tudor conquest. This led to colonisation of Ireland by settlers from Britain. In the 1690s, a system of Protestant English rule was designed to materially disadvantage the Catholic majority and Protestant dissenters, and was extended during the 18th century. In 1801, Ireland became a part of the United Kingdom. A war of independence in the early 20th century was followed by the partition of the island, creating the Irish Free State, which became increasingly sovereign over the following decades, and Northern Ireland which remained a part of the United Kingdom. Northern Ireland saw much civil unrest from the late 1960s until the 1990s. This subsided following a political agreement in 1998. In 1973, both parts of Ireland joined the European Economic Community [4].

  • 6. Political Reform In The Period Of The 1820 To 1860 In the period of the 1820s to the 1830s there was a multitude of political reforms made. Most of these reforms were made in an attempt to expand the power of the government. The most important developments were the election of 1828, Jacksons use of veto power, and the re establishment of the two party system. The establishment of the two party system came at the end of the election of 1824. The election of 1824 was so close that the house of representatives had to choose the president. This caused bad feelings and the Democratic party emerged as a result. People began to stay loyal to their party rather than the ideas that a candidate had. Problems Facing The World Wide Web Problems Facing The World Wide Web While flipping through the old pages of a book on Speech and Communication, my eyes caught the following lines of Marshall McLuhan: Someday the whole world would be a global village. Little did McLuhan know that his words will one day become literal. That day is today! After the short dial up rattle of my ISP, I loaded Netscape Navigator into my Windows platform. • 8. Dreamliner 787 Case Study Boeing is the worlds largest aerospace company. While Boeing is known mostly known for their commercial airplanes they also manufactures defense, space and security systems, military aircrafts, weapons, satellites, electronic defense systems, launch systems and information and communication systems (Boeing, 2013). In this case we are going to focus on the Dreamliner 787, and the problems that came with the creation of it. The first Boeing 787Dreamliner was delivered to Japan s ANA in 2011, nearly 40 months after the planned delivery date. The expected delivery was in May 2008, but the fuel efficient 787 Dreamliner s manufacturing had become complicated due to multiple changes in the design and supply chain implemented all at once. Far from the traditional manufacturing, Dreamliner design consists of many new features like unique design, one piece fuselage, reduced weight, 20% increase in fuel economy, and reduction in maintenance time. Apart from the changes in design, another major difficulty was the company s global supply chain network. For the first time ever Boeing outsourced two most critical parts fuselage and wings. Everything put together, the complications kept increasing and so is the delay. At least when the plane finally the entered the market years later design came out as expected, and there weren t any sacrifices to the design that had to be made. The plane can hold from 210 250 passengers on routes of 7650 8200 nautical miles and satisfies the fuel ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Reactions to Accepting a Newcomer in the Team New team members are likely to be met with resistance by the rest of the team, as the group starts to become suspicious and feels that it is more difficult to accept the newcomer. The manager has the task of bringing balance into the team by emphasizing the reasons for which the new member of the team arrived. In order to avoid paranoia from affecting the whole team and thus making it less productive, the manager needs to get actively engaged in creating a strong connection between the newcomer and the rest of the team. He or she needs to act as fast as possible so as for the team to experience little to no problems. Existing team members are likely to consider that a newcomer is a threat and that he or she is going to generate a lot of negativity within the team as he or she is not equally experienced in dealing with situations that the team is accustomed to going through. Old timers are typically inclined to believe that the overall productivity of the team will be negatively affected by the arrival of a newcomer, as he or she needs to be instructed in regard to his or her tasks and as the rest of the team is probable to lose important resources in the process. Although team turnovers can create a lot of problems within a group, they can also have positive effects on the team because of the new ideas and unbiased thinking that is being brought into the group. • 10. The First Jewish Roman War As briefly stated in the previous section of this paper, John was writing to both Jewish and Gentile Christians, post the First Jewish Roman war. The era of his writing and the audience to which he was writing greatly affected what he was communicating with this passage of Scripture. The logos in the 90 s CE would have been understood by Greeks through a Platonic and Stoic worldview as a mediatory means between the divine and human realms or as the reason , the force by which the universe was structured. Philo, a first century philosopher combined this understanding of the logos with the Jewish conception of wisdom personified. Before the writings of John s Gospel, the Jewish writings personified Wisdom as a divine mediator of God s person and intent (see Proverbs 8:27; 29 30; 35 36). One can see how language like this shapes and forms the understanding of Jesusthat John wanted to convey to his audience. The Hellenistic audience, influenced by Plato would see Jesus as the mediating agent between heaven and earth, which was confirmed by Jesus in John 1:51, while Jewish readers would understand the Word of God through an Old Testament worldview as God in action, specifically in creation, revelation and deliverance. Craig Keener talks of John s usage of logos in this way, By calling Jesus the Word, John calls him the embodiment of all God s revelation in the Scriptures and thus declares that only those who accept Jesus honor the law, fully (1:17). • 14. The Physical Values Of Roger Federer And Ray Ban Like Roger Federer, they are veterans in their designated field. Simply put, both Federer and Ray Ban are timeless classics. Federer is arguably one of the most attractive men in all of sports. Of course this highly relates to his great physical shape and facial features, but it is also about his class, humbleness, and charm. As mentioned in the audit chart, Federer is considered a great philanthropist as he has helped many people around the world and even has his own foundation. In many ways, he can be thought of as the perfect gentleman . The perfect complimenting accessory for an attractive gentleman such as himself is a classic pair of aviator Ray Ban sunglasses. Of course, attractiveness is only one part of this equation. As mentioned previously, trustworthiness may be more important for actual purchase persuasiveness. Federer s credibility adds tremendously to his trustworthiness. He may not have won a grand slam title in 2015 or 2016 but he was still ranked in the top 3 in the world, and has a great tract record that has proven his ability to still compete and dominate. • 15. Qin Shi Huang And The Unification Of China As centuries pass, historians are still able to remember the achievements attained by the first emperor of unified China. Although known as a ruthless ruler, we can acknowledge that the successes he had were lasting and helpful for the future of China. Qin Shi Huang became the first emperor of China at 220 BCE after his uncle passed the throne onto him and founded the Qin Dynasty. During this time period, China was divided into many kingdoms. Qin s main goal in life was to unify China under his rule. In order to do so, he waged war against the other six major kingdoms. By 221 BCE, he was able to unify China under his rule. It was the first time that China became unified. Qin Shi Huangwas able to create a large impact on China s history due to the starting the idea of the Great Wall, developing a system of writing, and the unification of China. Qin Shi Huang inherited the throne at the age of thirteen and was named as the Chinese head of state of Qin. At the age of 38, Qin renamed himself the first emperor and called himself Shi Huangdi. When he named himself as Shi Huang Di, he chose it because huangdi would tie himself to the first king since he believed Huang outranked wang . During that time period, wang was known to be king. He used di because it meant he had the divine right to rule, and shi meant he was the first emperor of China. All in all, his name combined means the first emperor of China. He changed his title because he believed that he deserved it since he was able to establish a unified China. Qin Shi Huang did not recognize the past rulers as emperors because the past rulers did not rule a unified state. He was then known as Qin Shi Huang to rulers after him. The country was wealthy and powerful when Qin Shi Huang ruled the kingdom but after Qin died, the dynasty fell apart. Qin Shi Huang had a large impact on China s culture. He helped implement canals and roads for easier travel. He started the imperial road system and created fast roads. He was extremely influential in China s government. Rewriting a story about the holocaust in the form of a graphic novel or comic as some might describe it, probably seemed unusual and childish. Comics and graphic novels were seen as lacking the educational equivalent people would refer to when researching or reading about that specific point in history. Having a large amount of books relating to the holocaustover the years has only made it repetitive because we are aware of Auschwitz and its terrible events. It also assisted the reader in imagining a setting where this all took place. For example, in chapter two, page 60 we see the diagram of Vladek explaining to the readers how he fixed boots and considered himself a shoemaker. Here we can see the quick thinking that he used to get himself out a situation that could have turned sour for the most part. It was directed by the RSC s artistic director Gregory Doran, whose version s aim was to break new boundaries in theatre making through its heavy reliance on cutting edge technology to create magnificent spectacles and revitalise used tropes of past productions. Now AT s also are responsible of the well being of athletes when it comes to their daily activity list. If an athlete is super active in one day, and is being repeatedly exposed to heat, that could result in some heat illnesses depending on the athletes well being. The neonate had stabilized, so the nurse and I were preparing for the family to discharge from the hospital. The immediate needs that were verbalized by the patient were hunger cries and soiled diaper/ angry cries. Immediate needs from the family were instruction on how much formula to feed the baby and circumcision care once discharged home. During my clinical experience, the patient experienced pain from the circumcision process. The healthcare team members alleviated the physical suffering by administrating lidocaine pain medication and giving the baby sugar water. I think the only improvement that I would make to these interventions would be to administer the lidocaine earlier so that it could be more effective in the patient s pain management. Long term needs for the patient were speech therapy in order to improve the baby s feeding technique, infection prevention, and teaching measures for the parents. The needs could be met through referral to a speech therapist upon discharge from the hospital, teaching family members proper handwashing, and educating parents on subject matters. The healthcare team interacted with the patient and family in an excellent fashion. They utilized the teach back method when educating parents about infant care, used compassionate care, and used open ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Growing up, I was taught that women, although we can do anything we want to do, need a support system, because we are traditionally the underdogs, and we should not accept being treated unfairly. My mother likes to tell a story about how, when she was a girl, she told her dad that she had decided to become a lawyer when she grew up. In response to her proclamation, my grandfather, an attorney himself, asked, Isn t that an awfully expensive education for a girl? My mother was involved in her education throughout high school. In life outside the office, forced sex on a date was not called date rape, but rather a bad night. Teen mothers were solely responsible for the babies they had out of wedlock at that young age. If a woman got married and changed her name, she would lose all her credit cards and have to reapply for credit. Similarly, if she got divorced, all the money in the checking account she shared with her husband would go to him, and she would once again lose credit. Domestic violence was not the crime that it is today. In Texas, it was legal for a man to shoot his wife and her lover if he caught them in bed together, but the reverse was not true. Women everywhere in our culture were having similar experiences of unfair treatment because of being female, so they banded together to improve their social and professional status. Women created several support systems for each other, because they knew that the only way to bring about change was in numbers. BrontГ« may have decided to use first person narration to make the reader look at the world through Jane Eyre s eyes which gives a voice to a young child which in the Victorian era children were seldom given a voice. BrontГ« created Jane at the bottom of society; a female orphan at a half charity school. It is apparent as soon as the reader meets Jane Eyrefor the first time that Jane is low in status and has no choice or power of her situation. In the Victorian era, mostly men would have been reading it because most women in the Victorian era were not educated enough to read such a novel; BrontГ« replicates this by making most of her male characters rich and dominant. Additionally, BrontГ« may have written the book so men in the Victorian era can see how women were mistreated which promotes feminism. Although, when the reader first meets Rochester, he may seem fulfilled, but as the novel progresses, BrontГ« unveils Rochester s secrets and horrible past. Now that Christianity was favored, many Christians sought to suppress pagan religions. However, the Edict of Milan promoted acceptance of all religions and so pagan practices were tolerated throughout much of the fourth century, although this too was to change toward the latter part of the century, when in 392 emperor Theodosius issued a decree which banned many pagan activities. As a result of these elements, Christianity had seen drastic changes during a time span of approximately one hundred years. The following chapter, Cosmos: The Quest for Order, looks at the development of cosmology as it related to Christianity during the religion s early years. The Christian ideas on cosmology were heavily influenced by Stoicism and Platonism, two of the leading philosophic traditions of the time period (34.) Both schools of thought followed the belief that the universe exhibited clear signs of order in its design which were clearly the work of a creator. The Stoic contribution to Christian theology was primarily with the concept of logos, or word, which is used in the Gospel of John to refer to the Word of God (John 1:1 3.) Plato contributed the idea of an incorporeal mind or soul which is separate from the body. One of the most detrimental housing bubbles that we have witnessed was the U.S housing bubble, which was one of major reasons which led to the recession in the USA during 2007 2009. Another reason which can be associated with the emergence of housing bubble has been the lowering down of lending standards by the financial institutions, which led to mortgage lending being offered to less credit worthy customers. Further, another significant factor which contributed to the U.S housing bubble were the affordable lending policies adopted by the government in the early 1990s which encouraged or rather forced the lending institutions to offer credit exposure to the communities and neighbourhoods with low and moderate incomes. Therefore, one can notice that there are varied opinions and views amongst economists regarding the causes of the housing bubble in USA and thus it becomes imperative to analyse those opinions further in order to arrive at the most important cause (or causes) behind the U.S housing bubble.
