Food Insecurity Research
Access to a healthy food or food security is a very important social determinate of health. Food
insecurity is the economic and social condition of a family that have limited food access or unsure of
nutritional value and quality of that food (Wang et al., 2015). In fact, nearly 49 million Americans
faced food insecurity in 2012 (Wang et al., 2015). Food insecurity is associated with depression,
management of the chronic diseases, and worse HIV outcomes (Wang et al., 2015). Also, a study
showed that food insecurity is linked to poor glycemic control, inability to control blood pressure and
cholesterol level (Berkowitz et al., 2013).
There are many examples of individual interventions to address or limit food insecurity. One example
includes breast feeding. Breast feeding is considered one of the best low cost interventions to use in
order to protect the child and the mother s health and reduce food insecurity. The world health
organization recommends all mothers to breastfeed for 6 months and continues breastfeeding up to 2
years (WHO, 2017). Breast feeding provides nutrients and energy for the babies and helps the mother
to reduce breast and ovarian cancer (WHO, 2017). In another words ... Show more content on

Social Media And Content Plan For Euclides
Social Media Content Plan for Euclides
Since successful social media and content plans are intertwined, this brief plan highlights the main
recommendations for both areas and offers tactical objectives for content creation and social media.
Current Status:
Euclides has a solid presence on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, as well as an active blog on their
website. They post quality information, on a consistent basis, and have a respectable following.
Engagement is consistent with what many SMB B2B companies see using social media. Euclides also
has a YouTube channel and incorporates video in a strategic fashion. Although Euclides has a strong
SM foundation, there are a few keys areas where we recommend implementing additional ... Show

d. Superior service. We recommend continuing to use case studies as an excellent vehicle to educate
your followers on the quality of your services.
e. Build relationships. One of the important aspects of Social Media is building relationships with
followers, important groups and influencers. We recommend creating a list of target press, analysts,
customer groups, industry groups, partners and other influencers. One of the key goals is to start
conversations and create/nurture interest in your skills and services. This is a key area where we
recommend some additional strategies. While social media can generate some B2B leads, its strongest
potential lies in helping to nurture leads and move them down the funnel.
Content Recommendations:
Euclides has a solid foundation of original and curated content that covers the technical, service and
business advantages Euclides offers. There is a good mix of blog posts, white papers, e books and
thought leadership content. Euclides is already doing a great job using catchy titles and tips content.
We see a couple of areas for improvement.
1. Adding case study metrics. While Euclides has some great case studies, we recommend trying to
tease out additional information, when possible, about tangible benefits. For example, Company A
estimates that it reduced customer wait times by 20%... , Customer

The Approach Of Behavior Modification Within Classrooms
Behavior modification can be defined as a technique which focuses on punishment for behaviors that
are undesirable and rewards for behaviors that are desirable (Langa, 2014). The approach of behavior
modification is based off of the methodologies and findings of a famous psychologist who researched
the area of behaviorism, B.F. Skinner. Skinner, also known as the Father of Behaviorism, developed
the theory of operant conditioning (Langa, 2014). In his research, Skinner used reinforcements and
punishments to support his theory of operant conditioning (Langa, 2014). Punishments, which Skinner
believed could be used to decrease the probability of a certain behavior happening repeatedly, could
be defined as the granting of displeasing stimulants (Langa, 2014). Throughout his research, Skinner
found that behaviors that are reinforced, or supported and acknowledged, were usually repeated
whereas behavior which was not reinforced usually weakens or fades over time. Countless studies
have been organized and carried out which have examined the use of behavior modification within
classrooms. In many classrooms, especially early childhood settings, behavior modifications have
been used. Teachers use behavior modification in their classrooms in order to alter classroom
behavior. In order to rework unwanted behaviors into acceptable behaviors, teachers may use a series
of reinforcements or punishments. Some reinforcements, or positive stimulants, that teachers have

Lucretia Mott Research Paper
Anna Meffert History final essay Dec. 11/2014 Prior to the Revolutionary War, women did not have
the same rights as men. Men thought that the role of women was to be a housewives which upset
women. They thought they should be treated like men because they could do the same things as men
could do or even better. Women like Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Stanton took this further and fought
for women s right to vote in elections. They thought it was their birthright. And women like Sojourner
Truth supported their cause and preached about it so it could be known around the country. Lucretia
Mott was born to a Quaker parents on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. Early in her childhood
she learned that men and women were not treated equally.

The Republic, By Plato
In Plato s book, The Republic , there are many examples of rhetoric. In regards to the controversial
topic of women and eugenics in which Plato is almost forced into mentioning because of Adeimantus
and Glaucon, he uses various rhetorical statements to portray his view on the matter. His readers
believe women should be equal, so Plato attempts to persuade his readers into thinking he believes the
same. For example, in the passage on women and family Plato states, we shall assign these to each
accordingly; but if the only difference apparent between them is that the female bears and the male
begets, we shall not admit that this is the difference relevant for our purpose, but shall still maintain
that our male and female Guardians ought to follow the same occupations (164). He uses the women
are equal and can do the same things as men strategy in order to make Athenian men understand what
he is trying to say while still stroking their egos by using rhetoric. Men are in general are hard to
persuade when it comes to power, so as a result Plato gives a sense of gender equality while at the
same time still giving men the upper hand. Now let us take a look into the background of the story.
Plato gives his ideals on a perfect society and everything it should include. He basically implies that
justice is rightness, and rightness is whatever he feels it should be. He breaks society down into
guardians, wage earners, and auxiliaries. Wage earners are people such as surgeons or

How Do Special Interest Groups and Mass Media Influence...
The media, interest groups, and political standard is a fascinating marriage in our mechanically
exceptional social order. It is better comprehended when differentiated into their singular commitment
to our social order to positively feel their effect on our day by day lives. Broad communications is
characterized as a method for correspondence that achieves a huge volume of individuals in a short
measure of time (broad communications). Interest groups could be better seen as an aggregation that is
resolved to forestall or help change open arrangement without the need of being chosen (Twyman
Whitney, 2009). Furthermore, popular conclusion is characterized as the whole of all unique
convictions in a given populace. By understanding what these parts of the current political ideal model
should speak to we can better see how this marriage has been tainted and the electorate is, no doubt
deceived. The first motivation behind the media was to educate the general population of any news on
an authentic, fair minded, and truthful way and we managed the press in which constitutionally
ensured flexibility of the press. Benefit spurs this new development of the press. Ads in all
manifestations of media, is the primary wellspring of income for that organization and this drive
revenue driven can structure inclinations so as to expand benefit by promotions that are equipped to
the crowd, which as a general rule is the end customer of the paying sponsors (Petrova,

Self Acceptance In Stargirl
In Stargirl, Jerry Spinelli shows us that happiness comes from self acceptance and being true to
yourself, rather than seeking the approval of others.
When Stargirl first comes to Mica High, everyone is shocked by her long dresses and odd behaviors.
She is far different than anyone else they had ever seen, and because of this, her peers do not accept
her. While this would make most teenagers would be devastated by the rejection, it has no effect on
her happiness or treatment of others. Leo says, She laughed when there was no joke. She danced when
there was no music. She had no friends, yet she was the friendliest person in the school (15). This
shows that from the start, Stargirl s happiness comes from within, not from others opinions. She did
not need others to be friendly to her in order for her to accept everyone else, nor did she need others to

Around the middle of the story, Stargirl decides to become normal to appease Leo, but quickly loses
her happiness. In the book, Leo describes a wagon in Stargirl s room that represents her mood. When
she is happy, she puts stones in, and when she is unhappy she takes stones out. At the start of the story,
Stargirl has over twenty stones in the wagon, despite being ostracized from society. When Stargirl
turned into Susan, Leo noticed a change. He says, That night we did homework together at her house.
I ducked into her room to check out her happy wagon. There were only two stones in it (143). The
lack of stones shows that she dislikes her life when she tries to be Susan, rather than being herself.
This means that If the stones are a metaphor for Stargirl s happiness, it is clear that changing into
someone she is not in order to make Leo happy makes her miserable. She clearly was more fulfilled
being true to herself, even if it meant having no friends. This suggests that happiness comes from
acceptance within, rather than having the approval of

The Norman Conquest Research Paper
The Norman Conquest was a significant event in British history. William Duke of Normandy s
invasion in 1066 resulted in the battle of Hastings, during which the Saxon king Harold Godwinson
was killed, possibly by an arrow in the eye. Following one battle of Hastings, castles were used by
William to take control of England. One of the first castles was built at Pevensey, but the most famous
castle was the Tower of London, built to conquer and control London and to provide protection for the
new Norman Rulers of England
William the conqueror as he became known granted land to his trusted Barons and friends. William

This changed when Elizabeth I appointed her cousin George Carey governor of the Island. After his
appointment as governor, Carey spent much time on the island, writing pamphlets and memoranda on
its dence. Renowned for his hospitality at Carisbrooke Castle, he was unpopular with the local gentry,
who complained of misconduct and use of the title governor . He had a strong sense of his own
importance. He began by rebuilding the domestic buildings of the castle, which had fallen into decay,
to provide accommodation worthy of his status. The hall block and St Peter s Chapel were radically
changed with the insertion of an upper floor. He brutally desecrated Isabella de Fortibus s chapel in the
southeast corner of the hall as he needed to increase accommodation and so built an upper floor in the
chapel, destroying its medieval detail. Adjoining the hall he added a new range, known as Carey s
building with 17 rooms and a long gallery. With the threat of Spanish invasion Carey made some
modest additions to the defences in 1587. In the next invasion scare of 1596 7, however, he persuaded
the queen and the local gentry to pay for the creation of a major, modern artillery fort as Carisbrooke.
This took the form of a low, roughly rectangular rampart nearly a mile long, with five bastions. These
defences were completed in 1602, but were never used in action. In March 1600 Carey fell ill and went

Analysis Of The Cabbage Soup Diet
There are a variety of reasons why people suddenly feel the need to lose weight. Many have an
upcoming wedding, class reunion, or vacation that entices them to drop 10 pounds quickly. If you
have 7 days to prepare, then the Cabbage Soup Diet is something you may want to consider. This high
fiber, low fat diet is not appropriate for long term weight loss, but may begin a more sensible eating
plan.
The Cabbage Soup Diet limits your food intake to fruit, vegetables, cabbage, unsweetened beverages
and other low calorie foods. Three to five times more weight is lost in 7 days by this particular diet.
Other moderate diets can only demonstrate a loss of one pound per week with physical exercise.
The recipe is rather simple and includes an array

The Role Of Community In African And Middle Eastern...
Literature is defined as, writings in prose or verse; especially : writings having excellence of form or
expression and expressing ideas of permanent or universal interest (Merriam Webster). In both African
and Middle Eastern literature, there is an overlap in theme, motif, and ideas. There is an awareness of
community over oneself present in both forms of literature. The role of women in both societies is
viewed as one of a lesser importance than the male presence. A discrepancy in the similarity between
Middle Eastern and African literature is the presence of a mystical unexplainable presence in African
literature. The presence of community and its role is presented in both African and Middle Eastern
literature. These themes can be seen a variety of times in both pieces of literature. In The Beekeeper s
Journey the idea of inclusivity and community is presented as the author writes, He could not fire a
rifle with accuracy, he could not use a blade with any skill, and he knew nothing about fighting, so he
would die... (The Beekeeper s Journey 8). In this Abbas (The main character of the story) is so
committed to a sense of duty that he is willing to die for his community. Through this connection to
his community, he is knowingly entering a battle with the knowledge that he will die. Thus furthering
the idea of community over oneself in this story and many others that fall into the same genre of
Middle Eastern literature. A piece of African literature that

Golden State Warriors Research Papers
In the era of hot takes, comment sections and social media outbursts being used as methods to gain
attention, I can say from the bottom of my heart that none of those are the reasons I present my against
the grain opinion of the Golden State Warriors. If I m about to come off as a bitter Cleveland Cavaliers
fan (I am), then so be it. I m not so blinded by my love for Cleveland sports teams that I can t admit:
The Golden State Warriors are the best team in the NBA right now. That doesn t mean I can t hate
them unconditionally. Despite winning the NBA Finals in June, the Warriors have made it known their
primary motivation this season is derived from their doubters. Furthermore, Las Vegas pegged my

Because Steph Curry and Klay Thompson (not the entire Warriors team) are fun to watch, I think
Golden State is getting a hate pass. Is a hate pass a thing? A little more than a week ago, the
Milwaukee Bucks snapped Golden State s 28 game regular season win streak. As I basked in the tiny
moral victory, during a regular season in which the Cavs could finish .500 and I wouldn t care as long
as they were healthy, the Warriors whined like school children during a middle school recess touch
football game after the loss. The Warriors were upset with the Bucks celebration after Milwaukee
ended Golden State s record streak. Boohoo. The Warriors want to talk about winning with grace? Try
losing with grace. Regarding Curry, I ve never done a 180 degree turn on a player like I have with
Steph Curry. Davidson Steph Curry I loved that guy. He was an underdog and someone I could root
for. His play in two consecutive NCAA Tournaments was some of the most fun I ve had watching
sports. Today, Curry is too mainstream, being billed as a cultural phenomenon. His pregame routine
seems to receive more public attention than the games he plays

Formula One Racing Essay
Formula One Racing
Formula one is the fastest racing car in the world. It is called the greatest car show in the world.
Formula one has a great influence on the people. Millions of people sit in front of the TV set or around
the circuit and watch the race. The drivers are often called kings of speed and they show their ability
to drive fast every second week of the season.
People wondered about this racing many years ago. The cars were very different from today s formula
ones. The question of safety and also the atmosphere of racing was different. It was a risk to drive so
fast and a lot of tragic accidents happened. Also the rules have been changed since the first race was
held. The rules are very strict today for safety. According ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The safety car appears when an accident happens. Drivers must drive behind the safety car slowly and
they cannot overtake each other. When someone doesn t obey the rules he has a penalty. It means that
he must take a few seconds pit stop.
When a F1 team and its drivers want to succeed, they must have a good team strategy. It means that
the team management must plan everything important. They decide whether to use hard or soft tires,
how many pit stops the driver should have, how much fuel to take, which driver is number one on the
team... Today s top teams have very good strategies which are different in every race. The best teams
are McLaren, Ferrari, Jordan, Williams F1 and than less successful Stewart, Arrows, Minardi... The
drivers of McLaren are Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard. The strategy in this team is very
interesting. The drivers can compete between each other even when Mika is number one! So David
can take points which can make Mika winner of the season. The drivers of Ferrari are Michael
Schumacher and Eddie Irvine. And the strategy? No.2 has to support No.1. My favorite team is Jordan
Mugen Honda whose drivers are H.H.Frentzen and Damon Hill.
The team s strategy must adapt to each Grand Prix. There are several Grand Prix with different circuits
during the season. For instance GP of Germany, Italy, Monaco, Canada, Europe, Hungary, Austria and
Japan. The current season in 1999 has a special new Grand Prix of Malaysia which was held last
week. First was

Framing
Before coming to grips with the more complex definitions of Framing, it should be understood that
Framing is perceptual; in other words, Framing is not about what is said, but how it is said. There are
several complex definitions of framing which can be broken down into simpler language:
Framing is the relationship between context and information as it determines meaning.
Framing is a template or data structure that organizes various pieces of information.
Framing then, is how things are put. Or the way words and concepts are presented and slanted so that
they will produce a wished for effect. The principal field of human endeavor that comes to mind when
discussing Framing, is... Marketing.
A famous example of framing is one that employs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Online marketers know the value of framing; utilizing keywords and taglines that show how a
customer will benefit from consuming a product can lead to more conversions.
The L Oréal campaign for marketing its brand of women s cosmetics has been famous for its tagline
Because You re Worth It. for decades. This tagline frames a woman s desire to purchase skincare
products, especially those from L Oréal.
Why does a woman buy skincare products from L Oréal? Because She s Worth It. The company L
Oréal has employed many actors and models to speak this line; to have a beautiful, famous woman tell
you that you re worth it adds a degree of impact and permission that could be lacking if this line was
spoken by a business woman. Or would it?
The line Because You re Worth It effects issues that women may have about self esteem and beauty;
these are cognitive biases of an extremely personal nature. Thoughts such as: Am I beautiful? How
can I become beautiful? Do I deserve to be beautiful? Should I purchase skincare products? are
influenced by the verbal frame Because You re Worth It. These four words answer all these questions
at once and seemingly resolve any residual guilt or doubt about skincare purchases or the right to think
about one s personal

Should Terminally Ill People Have The Right To Take Their...
Terminally ill people should have the right to take their own life in order to end their excruciating
suffering and pain. Every person should have the right to a dignified and compassionate death, and
giving this right to a terminally ill person would give that individual the feeling of a respectful and
noble death. When a person s health has reached the level of terminally ill and there is no quality of
life, the purpose of life is meaningless; in fact it can be darn right mean. Seeing a loved one suffering
in unbearable pain is not only dreadful for the terminally ill person to endure, but it is just as horrible
if not more horrendous for family members to watch their loved ones go through this misery. The

I Carry Your Heart With Me
E. E Cumming s poem [i carry your heart with me(i carry it in] conveys a love poem about how the
persona feels about the one they love. It is not stated whether the speaker is a male or female, but it is
clear how they feel about their lover. Not only does the speaker express his love about the person, but
also about nature. While Cummings expresses himself as a poet who does not seem to abide by
normal poetic routines, he uses trochee, parallelism, syntax, and enjambment for the strength in this
poem.
Cumming s uses trochee and parallelism in each meter. The spaces in each start of a new breath, the
lowercase letters and the parentheses he adds to his poems distinguishes him from other poets.
Another difference between him and other poets is he does use the traditional end rhymes but syntax.
The trochees present in this poem appear as dum da dum da, in the words i go, you go , represented in
line 3. In lines 8 9 Cummings places ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cummings may seem confusing to the reader as he uses a lot of it is, but it isn t detail. For example, in
lines 3 4 the speaker claims that whatever is done by only him is lover is also doing, which means
nothing is ever truly done by him, but it is and also in lines 5 6 when he says i fear no fate(for you are
my fate, my sweet) meaning that the lover is their fate. Cummings talks about love in a more
foundational and strong way to connect two lovers instead of puppy love and ruby hair. It is not a
typical love poem because Cummings uses imagery and visuals to explain the love between the two
lovers. He does not focus on just getting the other person, but about connecting and the world as a
whole. With his diction and wordplay, Cummings allows the reader to develop a different meaning
and understanding of love. Not the common love that everyone knows about, but the out of the realm

Similarities Between To Kill A Mockingbird And Hamlet
Structuralism states that both Hamlet and Bob Ewell condemn themselves, as they are both
responsible for the deaths of innocent people (Polonius and Tom Robinson respectively.) Although
Hamlet is the protagonist in the play, contrasting with Bob Ewell being the villain in To Kill a
Mockingbird. The two texts show that, good or evil, the murder of an innocent person will create
chaos in a community and until it is resolved by the subsequent death of the murderer, the chaos will
continue. For instance in Hamlet, when Hamlet goes to speak with his mother after the play, he
believes Claudius is spying on them from behind a curtain. He stabs at the intruder without verifying
their identity and finds out it is not the King, but Polonius his right hand man.
HAMLET
What s this, a rat? I ll bet a buck he s a dead rat now.
(stabs his sword through the arras and kills POLONIUS)
POLONIUS
(from behind the arras) Oh, I am slain.
GERTRUDE
O me, what hast thou done?
HAMLET
Nay, I know not. Is it the king?
GERTRUDE
Oh, what a rash and bloody deed is this!
HAMLET
A bloody deed? Almost as bad, good mother,
As kill a king and marry with his brother.
Hamlet believes he is justified in killing Polonius although this is not true and dresses Ophelia mad
when she hears of her father s death. Although Hamlet s intention was to kill Claudius he condemns
himself in killing an innocent person. As a matter of fact, he is so driven to kill Claudius he does not
even know who he has killed. However, if the intruder had been Claudius, rather than Polonius,
Hamlet s killing would have been justified as vengeance for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Love Of Love By Pablo Neruda
INTRODUCTION
Each country today has faced the heart rending impacts of colonization and imperialization, clothed in
the ideas of modernization and contemporary thoughts, their effects cannot be camouflaged to a great
extent. The present still continues to be a doubtful chronicle of the history of the respective nations in
question clouded by the diverse issues of linguistic and cultural transpositions , alienation and loss, or
for that matter the conflict in race. However, many poets have and continue to document the gruesome
impact these wars have had on the masses. Some such tales are narrated by the Chilean poet Pablo
Neruda who can be seen as the representative poet of the entire 20th century. The poet wrote mostly in
Spanish elaborately and passionately about his people , their misery . His Nobel prize in literature ...

Neruda in each of his love poem strikes the correct chord of one s heart sometimes in an
overwhelming way. Susinighda Dey in her essay describing Neruda s poetry often pinpoints towards
the elemental passion of love that Neruda realizes that in a way transcends the lovers who are nothing
but mere objects of this love. In poems like Tonight I can write.. with lines like she loved me/
sometimes I loved her too Neruda seems to be ambiguous regarding his feeling towards the woman
and therefore , he comes across as somebody who loves the idea of love more than the woman and
hence , he now can write the saddest lines .

the new environment. He chooses neither. Instead, he exceeds the preposition and completely submits
to the savagery. Jack commits hateful, cruel acts. He kills Simon as well as condemning the death of
Piggy. He dresses up in camouflage and aggressively kills animals. For example, Jack made a rush and
stabbed at Ralph s chest with his spear.... They were chest to chest, breathing fiercely, pushing and
glaring (177). This shows his complete transformation. Ralph hadn t transformed like Jack, and didn t
feel the constant pressure. Jack constantly needed more power and more fear. He needed to devote
himself to the island. He wanted to act upon all evil urges. As stated, They were savages it was true;
We see now from Ralph s side, that Jack twisted the tribes mind like a devil would to the point of
making them little savages (185). Since Jack had yielded, he had to turn everyone else too. Jack
resembles Gimpel in many ways. As Gimpel was confronted with darkness that altered the way he
thought about the world, so was Jack. Both characters allow urges that linger in the back of their mind
to assert control. Unlike Ralph, both characters could not resist temptation. However, Ralph is able to
stick with his morals, even as everything is taken away from him. He is starving, hurt, and truly alone,
yet he still holds onto himself. Ultimately, the evil and hatred Jack possessed trump Ralphs realistic
and fair ideals. This is because of everyone has their own battles within.

The Performance Of Tone Mapping
3 PREVIOUS WORK
Because of the great interest of HDR images and their advantages, tone mapping techniques are used
to display these images on LDR devices. Many researchers made different studies for evaluating the
performance of tone mapping algorithms. Debevec and Malik proposed that a HDR image can be
created from three or more LDR images of the same scene under different exposures. Through
technological advances and the development of photograph technology, we can get access to HDR
cameras which can take HDR photos and videos directly now. Therefore, there is an increasing
demand for tone mapping algorithms. There are two types of tone mapping algorithm: global
operators and local operators. The global tone mapping methods are simply mapped the input HDR
image I^h (x,y) to an output LDR image I^l (x,y) = f (I^h (x,y)) , where f () is a global compression
function which is spatially invariant, such as gamma function, linear function, histogram based
function and the function adapted to tone reproduction curves. Hence, the local tone mapping methods

Guns Do Kill People By Philip Caputo
In Guns do kill people, an article by Philip Caputo on the changes that need to be made to gun safety
and gun laws, Caputo brings to light the problem that mass destruction firearms create in our world.
Most do not understand the harm of semi automatic handguns, but as someone who has had
experience firsthand of the destruction they have, he shows the impact that is made by them. Based on
his experience with semi automatic weapons and his research of past violence in the United States,
Caputo makes a compelling argument to justify outlawing mass destruction firearms.
Caputo has had first hand experience with the harm that semi automatic firearms have. He served a
tour of duty with a Marine Rifle Company in Vietnam and was seriously wounded by an AK 47. He is
intimately aware of the design of what these weapons are meant to do. These weapons are made to kill
people; as many as possible, as quickly as possible (Caputo). According to Caputo s experience, it is
shown that he is aware of the repercussions that these weapons have and what they can do. Caputo,
being a hunter who owns shotguns and rifles, says it is prohibited to bring a weapon of mass
destruction into the fields. A semi automatic 9mm handgun is not meant to injure or severely wound, it
is meant to kill no matter what the cost. For example, the use of semi automatic firearms outside of the
military and the federal government could be extremely detrimental to many civilians and their
everyday lives. Most

Govt200 Worldview Analysis Essay
Worldview Analysis Essay
The institution of family and marriage was at one point one of the strongest institutions between two
people that existed in the world. However, due to process philosophy, we can now see that same
institution is being attacked and transformed into something that God objects to. As Christians, the
Bible is our way to better understand and worship God. If we explore the ESV version in Genesis 2,
we see God made man and woman and said that they shall become one flesh . Karl Marx however,
offered up a different approach. Marx was an Atheist and therefore did not believe in God or the word
of God (Martin, 2006). Marx s atheistic teachings created a succession of process philosophers that

With that mindset, our nation has come to the position it is in, particularly in regards to homosexual
marriages . Something that is so clearly stated that is sinful, our government leaders have decided to
legalize. How can we, as God s people, think that we have a right to change one of God s laws? The
answer is Marxism. Once we start disobeying God and start creating our own rules, we begin sinning
against God.
The consequences of Marxism can be witnessed everyday if we pay close attention. Marxism teaches
that everyone is born into a classless society, with everyone being the same. Today, you can observe
other people that constantly need to be like everyone else and to have the material things that everyone
else has. These basic ideas of conforming are Marxist in nature and are actually mentioned in
Ecclesiastes 4:4 7. Eventually, if we follow the path of Marxism, we see how it goes from Capitalism,
to Socialism, to Communism. Socialism though, is what we are dealing with more and more in our
daily lives. We see it happening in our government, work, and if we re not cautious, we will eventually
see it in our families.
Socialism is visible at work every day, especially in regards to welfare. If we look at the traditional
marriage, God ordered the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, to reproduce. And God blessed them.
And God said to them, Be

My Personal Experience Of God
Describe your personal experience of God and the understanding of God you derive from biblical,
theological and historical sources. I was born in South Korea between my father who was skeptical
and my mother who was faithful for believing God in the Korean Methodist Church. For this reason, it
was natural for me to attend a Korean Methodist church. At that time, I did not know what the church
is doing and why I should attend the church, but what I learned about church was what I am redeemed
by Jesus Christ through God s love in the bible class. The church was just a place where I could meet
friends, rather than understanding who God is. Nevertheless, someday, I recognized what I have a

Moreover, he was crucified because of pardoning our sin. I know this stories about Jesus, but, at that
time, Jesus existentially came to me as the incarnation. I realized that Jesus Christ is my lord but also
sincere friend as he came down to Zacchaeus in the plan of God. This is my experience of and
understanding God and God s love.
What is your understanding of humanity and the human need for divine grace? I believe that human
beings, who have the image of God, are the best creature in the world. Therefore, they can
instinctually recognize the existence of God and have capacities to choose somethings and to create
somethings creatively. For John Wesley, human beings are created by God in the image of God, which
means that they have similar characteristics to God. Scott J. Jones insists, we share God s nature in
that we are immortal spirits who have various divine capacities: understanding, freedom of the will,
and affections. In this view, in the beginning, the human beings have capacities not only to understand
God in the communication between God and them, but also to choose and do anything which they
want. However, at the Fall, their characteristics given by God became malfunctioned by Adam s
exploiting their free will not obey God, but disobey God, which generates the original sin. John
Wesley explains about this in his sermon The New Birth, The natural consequence of this is that

Conor I thought the Wizard of Oz was a bright and colorful moving. Being a movie that was
transitioning from a black film to color it really emphasized every single color imaginable. All the
colors remind of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Candyland. I like how Emerald city stayed true

Emerald City just of its color scheme alone. I felt bad for the tin man because all that makeup must of

Patriotism And Patriotism In Shakespeare s Julius Caesar
Patriotism In Julius Caesar
Shakespeare s play, be that as it may, is more about legislative issues than it is about antiquated
legends, about the legislative issues of Rome as the chose government offered approach to tyranny. It s
a tale about patriotism and defilement, about connivances and partnerships. It s a tale about
administration and the complexity amongst opportunity and oppression.
As I read up on Julius Caesar before observing it, I found an assortment of sentiments on what the
play is about (not too sudden, really, since it is a play by Shakespeare). A few pundits take a gander at
the play as an announcement about the perils of an outright ruler they take a gander at the play s
execution in Elizabethan and Jacobean England as the most huge thing about it. Others focus in transit
the general population the swarm of Romans is depicted, and how their flightiness impacts occasions.
This play seems to have no saint in the exemplary sense, on the grounds that the activity rotates
around a few primary characters: Julius Caesar, Marcus Brutus, Caius Cassius, Mark Antony, Octavius
Caesar. On the off chance that you give careful consideration to the dialect and activity, however, a
hero emerges Brutus a heartbreaking saint who is fixed by his energetic resistance to the oppression of
a tyrant. He takes an interest in the plot to kill Caesar in light of the fact that, as he puts it, he adores
Rome more than he cherishes Caesar.

The Dangers Of Technology And Technology
Technology consuming our lives, making us so attached to it that a moment without it feels like we are
dying. We use technology to cure our epidemic of boredom with mindless activities like watching
videos or scrolling through social media. We are never really alone with our own thoughts; we always
have hundreds of people we can access at the press of a button. When my computer died a few years
back, I had nothing else to access my favorite websites, so I simply borrowed my parent s until I
bought a new one. Boredom, or solitude, felt so unusual for me; I had no clue what to do with myself.
I couldn t just sit there and be bored. Instead, I immediately filled that void with technology once
again when I could have just waited a few days for when I got my laptop. Even when I claim that I am
doing nothing, I still have headphones in or some video or show for background noise. I strategically
avoid the feeling of boredom all the time, and I immediately turn to my technology to do so.
Professor Sherry Turkle states in her essay, Solitude , that the decline of solitude has negative effects
on children s health, and technology is the cause. She discusses how time spent alone is essential for
developing certain qualities and skills as a child, such as empathy and creativity. Also, she goes over
how people are becoming addicted to technology, never leaving its side, and turning to it for
emotional outlets or getaways. She also mentions how parents are pushing this life style onto their
children. Turkle correctly concludes that solitude is an important part of childhood, and people today
turn to their phones instead of boredom.
According to Turkle, for a child to properly develop mentally, solitude is needed. As Turkle stated, It s
the capacity for solitude that allows you to reach out to others and see them as separate and
independent. ... This makes the capacity for solitude essential to the development of empathy (Turkle
61). By being in solitude, people notice themselves and how they are one person and capable of doing
things on their own. With that realization, a person would then be able to look at others and come to
the same conclusion that they too are independent from others, that they are not just part of a

Persuasive Essay On Redemption
In the Bible there is a story about a cruel and hateful man named Saul. He would track down and kill
anyone belonging to the then new Christian faith, and he hated anything to do with Jesus. He would
put both men and women into prison, and he was responsible for approving the stoning of one of the
seven disciples told to go out and tell people about Jesus, Stephen. And he is probably one of the most
classic examples of redemption known to Western Christian civilization. To put his long story
concisely, he was traveling to Damascus and then Jesus approached him from heaven, blinding him
with light and telling him he needed to do what Jesus said. Blind and helpless, he didn t eat or drink
anything for three days, and then Jesus sent a man named Ananias who was actually very much afraid
of Saul to heal his blindness, because God had chosen him to be a disciple. When Saul was healed, he
turned away from his genocidal ways, and eventually became known as Paul, a messenger of the
Good News of Christ and the main writer of a chunk of the New Testament of the Bible. This Saul to
Paul effect, while one of the earlier examples of redemption from evil acts, has certainly not been the
last. Redemption has always been a controversial topic, particularly if one s crimes are numerous
and/or horrific part of the reason the death penalty is so often debated in America for its morality. But
what people have really never agreed on is where the breaking point is of what can be forgiven and

a) Fed Bank has a number of rights they can exercise. Moreover, as long as they do not recover more
than the principal debt plus costs and interest they can employ more than one of them .

The most well established way of creating a mortgage is in fact by deed and, furthermore, s.23(1)
states a mortgage of a registered land cannot be created by lease. It is made clear Josiah is the sole
registered owner of the property.
As for the question whether the legal date of redemption is passed this can be proven with the case of
Payne . As we know from the current case Josiah has missed 3 mortgage payments. However, in the
case of Payne it was established that defaulting on an instalment was equal to a defaulting on the
whole mortgage. As such it is safe to say both conditions are met and the power of sale has arisen.
What Fed Bank needs to prove next is whether their right to sell has become exercisable, the
conditions for which can be found in s. 103 of the LPA 1925. One of them states the power becomes
exercisable if the mortgagors have missed two monthly instalments. As Josiah has missed three, this
means the bank can safely sell the property.
Since a mortgage is considered a contract of loan, Fed Bank can also sue Josiah for a breach. This can
happen particularly if they feel the sale of the property has not repaid what they have been owed. This
was the case of Rudge where it was held the sale of the property did not release the mortgagor from
the duty to pay any balance remaining due. Another reason for them to do this would be if they have
failed to take possession of the property due to an overriding

Uplifting Book Of Psalms
I would have to say that there are several divisions of Psalms that I like to read and quote. To me, the

What are the prevailing issues for and against legalization of marijuana? Just because something is
labelled as illegal does not mean it is bad. Likewise, when something is labelled as legal does not
mean it is not bad. Throughout the progression of time, the Western outlook on Marijuana has changed
drastically. A few decades ago, the idea of smoking Marijuana was perceived as a menace to the public
and the discussion of legalizing Marijuana was greatly frowned upon. Particularly during the early
1970 s when President Nixon proposed the war on drugs policy, where he proclaimed, The public
enemy number one in the United States is drug abuse (Sharp, 1994, p.1). Despite the war on drugs
policy, several decades later, America began legalizing the recreational use of Marijuana in four
different States including; Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. Similarly, with the United
States impact, Canada is in the midst of legalizing Marijuana with the new Prime Minister, Justin
Trudeau in power. Throughout Canadian history, the United States has greatly influenced Canada s
policies and regulations. For instance, the issues of Doctor assisted suicide and Abortion were first

Summary Of Robert Mcmahon s The Cold War
While the individual documents that are a part of this week s reading are insightful, particularly the
grubby Lee Atwater article and Ronald Reagan s manichean moral vision of America in his 1983
speech at the annual convention of the National Association of American Evangelicals, Robert
McMahon in his book The Cold War: A Very Short Introduction shows the importance of broad
overviews in accurately analyzing history. If overviews are skipped, historical analysis can get bogged
down in details, which can potentially lead to seeing the forest for the trees. Although almost
exclusively focused on foreign policy, McMahon reveals a president that is able to change with the

He, and many conservative evangelical leaders, took advantage of cultural fears to create an ideology
where any compromise was seen as an existential threat to Christianity and the moral goodness of

inefficiencies, amplified the general undermining of institutions that is bearing fruit in society today.
Reagan, like many leaders exhibited positive and negative attributes, most often dependent on one s
political affiliation. My main point is that the vilification or glorification of Reagan simplifies the
historical narrative into partisan, ideological silos. I focused on this point while reading the documents
because of the perturbing events transpiring in politics today. A dialogue between liberal host Bill

Deceit and trickery play a huge part in the play Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare.
Deception is a key theme in the play, it also moves the plot along. Trickery and deception is used in
the love stories of couples Hero and Claudio, and Benedick and Beatrice, with opposite results. This
play demonstrates two different kinds of deceit: the kind whose only purpose is to cause trouble, and
the kind that is used to form a good outcome. In the relationship of Hero and Claudio, deception

I will do myself the right to trust none; and the fine is, for the which I may go the finer, I will live a
bachelor. (1.1.232 35), while Beatrice says, No, uncle, I ll none. Adam s sons are my brethren, and
truly I hold it a sin to match in my kindred. (2.1.59 60.) Their friends see that they are the perfect
match for one another, and plan to trick them into confessing their love for each other. When Benedick
is in the orchard, he overhears Don Pedro, Claudio, and Leonato talking about how Beatrice is in love
with him but is afraid he will mock her if she tells him. Benedick believes them, saying, This can be
no trick. (2.3.217.) He then goes on to say, I will be horribly in love with her. (2.3.230 31.) Later,
Beatrice hears Hero and Ursula talking about how they can t tell her that Benedick loves her because
she is a scornful person. After Hero and Ursula leave, Beatrice states:
And Benedick, love on; I will requite thee,
Taming my wild heart to thy loving hand.
If thou dost love, my kindness shall incite thee
To bind our loves up in a holy band. (3.2.111 14)
Even though Benedick and Beatrice have said

The Pros And Cons Of Blue Collar Work
Why is it that blue collar work is looked down on compared to white collar work? There is equal value
in work between the two types of jobs. Blue collar workers are working twice as hard as white collar
workers. They are having to use their hands and their brain to succeed at what they do. Blue collar
workers are not uneducated, they have to be smart to do their job. Also, without blue collar workers,
white collar work would not even exist. A common misconception is that blue collar workers are not
as educated as white collar workers. This is simply untrue, these jobs require workers to be able to
work smart. These workers are not only having to use their hands, but also their brain. In the article,
the author talks about what he has seen at a diner where his mother worked. He notices how the
waitress would watch the room and note who needed a refill, whose order was taking long, and who
was finishing up. It states in the article that She would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If this was the case, some of these workers would not be able to do their job, that require smart
employees that can think. According to the article, many assume that intelligence is closely related to
education; meaning the type of education, how much, and how long. Some blue collar jobs do require
less education, but the workers are still extremely skilled at what they do. These workers have to be
precise and get their jobs done the right way every time. If all blue collar workers were undereducated,
they would not be able to handle this type of work. There is equal value in blue collar work and white
collar work. Not one type of work is better than the other in the term of value . Blue collar work may
not be as glamorous, but it does not mean it should not be respected. Both types of work require skill,
smartwork, and some form of education. No matter if you are working behind a desk, or at a factory; a
job is a

Sickle Disease in Pregnancy
Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a destructive abnormality in red blood cells that results in circulatory
impairment. Sickle cell disease can cause pain, infection, organ damage and strokes. SCD is inherited
through the infants parental genes (James, 2014). For instance, if an infant inherits the gene from one
parent that infant will automatically have the sickle cell trait. As a result, the infant will be a carrier of
the disease but won t actually have the SCD. It is very rare for a carrier to have any symptoms.
Women who have SCD are considered high risk if they become pregnant. SCD poses complication for
both mother and fetus during ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many different medications that can be administered in hopes to help expectant mothers. In
addition to that, a prophylactic transfusion can take place to help increase hemoglobin levels. It is
important that both the mother and child are observed throughout the pregnancy for the simple fact
that many of these pregnancies result in a caseation delivery (James 2014). In some cases, the use of
propranolol and LMWH are used in SCD mothers in hopes to decrease the intensity of SCD effects
such as pain and organ problems in both parent and child ( Yawn 2014). Opioid is also used as pain
medication in SCD women (Yawn

Apology On Apology Of Socrates
Saru Maharjan
Professor Nathan Poage
Philosophy 1301
March 2, 2017
Apology of Socrates Socrates was a Greek philosopher and the founder of western philosophy. Plato
was the student of Socrates who was very motivated by the life and teaching of Socrates. Plato was
also one of the greatest Philosopher of ancient Greece. Apology is the actual recorded speech of
Socrates by Plato, which was delivered at the trail to defend himself. Many people did not agree with
Socrates, so they made several charges against him, which is recorded in the Apology. Some of the
accusations made against him were studying the things in the sky and below the earth, corrupting the
young, making a worse argument into a strong argument and not believing in the gods ... Show more

But Socrates never charged the people for listening to him. Even though Gorgias doesn t fulfill the
need of philosophy, they were not charged. Socrates compares himself with Gorgias, Prodicus, and
Hippias and he proved that the false rumors about him were not true.
Another charge made against Socrates was corrupting the young, which Meletus claims he was guilty
of. He says I am guilt of corrupting the young, but I say that Meletus is guilty of dealing frivolously
with serious matters, of irresponsibly bringing people into court. (Cooper 28) Meletus blamed that
Socrates was guilty of corrupting a young man. He again asked logical questions to the Meletus to
defend himself. He says Meletus was not concerned about the young man, he himself was concerned
about and knows about the law. Law is the only thing that was improving the young man. He again
asked Meletus how he was corrupting the young man. He was improving the young man, which
everybody was doing. The members of the council, audience, and members of the assembly
everybody was making a good man. As per Socrates, Meletus thinks everybody doing the same work
was making good men but Socrates was corrupting a young man by doing the same work
Socrates was also charged for not believing on the gods. I think he contradict himself in the affidavit,
as if said Socrates is guilty of not believing in gods

Marked Women Deborah Tannen Analysis
In Marked Women, Unmarked Men, Deborah Tannen discusses the nature of marked women and its
consequences. Tannen, a female writer, points out the marked aspects of women by first giving an
example of three differently clothed women, named No. 1 through 3, in a meeting. She allows readers
to visualize the distinct difference between men and women s appearance. Then she shifts to
explaining in depth about the definition of marked and how it appears on the daily lives of women.
She spends most of her article discussing the conference meeting example and the definition of
marked . Although Tannen indicates many contradictions surrounding the marked female aspects like
clothing and surnames, she does not reach to a conclusion. Because the

  • 2. Food Insecurity Research Access to a healthy food or food security is a very important social determinate of health. Food insecurity is the economic and social condition of a family that have limited food access or unsure of nutritional value and quality of that food (Wang et al., 2015). In fact, nearly 49 million Americans faced food insecurity in 2012 (Wang et al., 2015). Food insecurity is associated with depression, management of the chronic diseases, and worse HIV outcomes (Wang et al., 2015). Also, a study showed that food insecurity is linked to poor glycemic control, inability to control blood pressure and cholesterol level (Berkowitz et al., 2013). There are many examples of individual interventions to address or limit food insecurity. One example includes breast feeding. Breast feeding is considered one of the best low cost interventions to use in order to protect the child and the mother s health and reduce food insecurity. The world health organization recommends all mothers to breastfeed for 6 months and continues breastfeeding up to 2 years (WHO, 2017). Breast feeding provides nutrients and energy for the babies and helps the mother to reduce breast and ovarian cancer (WHO, 2017). In another words ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (2013). • 4. The Approach Of Behavior Modification Within Classrooms Behavior modification can be defined as a technique which focuses on punishment for behaviors that are undesirable and rewards for behaviors that are desirable (Langa, 2014). The approach of behavior modification is based off of the methodologies and findings of a famous psychologist who researched the area of behaviorism, B.F. Skinner. Skinner, also known as the Father of Behaviorism, developed the theory of operant conditioning (Langa, 2014). In his research, Skinner used reinforcements and punishments to support his theory of operant conditioning (Langa, 2014). Punishments, which Skinner believed could be used to decrease the probability of a certain behavior happening repeatedly, could be defined as the granting of displeasing stimulants (Langa, 2014). Throughout his research, Skinner found that behaviors that are reinforced, or supported and acknowledged, were usually repeated whereas behavior which was not reinforced usually weakens or fades over time. Countless studies have been organized and carried out which have examined the use of behavior modification within classrooms. In many classrooms, especially early childhood settings, behavior modifications have been used. Teachers use behavior modification in their classrooms in order to alter classroom behavior. In order to rework unwanted behaviors into acceptable behaviors, teachers may use a series of reinforcements or punishments. Some reinforcements, or positive stimulants, that teachers have ... • 6. The Republic, By Plato In Plato s book, The Republic , there are many examples of rhetoric. In regards to the controversial topic of women and eugenics in which Plato is almost forced into mentioning because of Adeimantus and Glaucon, he uses various rhetorical statements to portray his view on the matter. His readers believe women should be equal, so Plato attempts to persuade his readers into thinking he believes the same. For example, in the passage on women and family Plato states, we shall assign these to each accordingly; but if the only difference apparent between them is that the female bears and the male begets, we shall not admit that this is the difference relevant for our purpose, but shall still maintain that our male and female Guardians ought to follow the same occupations (164). He uses the women are equal and can do the same things as men strategy in order to make Athenian men understand what he is trying to say while still stroking their egos by using rhetoric. Men are in general are hard to persuade when it comes to power, so as a result Plato gives a sense of gender equality while at the same time still giving men the upper hand. Now let us take a look into the background of the story. Plato gives his ideals on a perfect society and everything it should include. He basically implies that justice is rightness, and rightness is whatever he feels it should be. He breaks society down into guardians, wage earners, and auxiliaries. Wage earners are people such as surgeons or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. How Do Special Interest Groups and Mass Media Influence... The media, interest groups, and political standard is a fascinating marriage in our mechanically exceptional social order. It is better comprehended when differentiated into their singular commitment to our social order to positively feel their effect on our day by day lives. Broad communications is characterized as a method for correspondence that achieves a huge volume of individuals in a short measure of time (broad communications). Interest groups could be better seen as an aggregation that is resolved to forestall or help change open arrangement without the need of being chosen (Twyman Whitney, 2009). Furthermore, popular conclusion is characterized as the whole of all unique convictions in a given populace. By understanding what these parts of the current political ideal model should speak to we can better see how this marriage has been tainted and the electorate is, no doubt deceived. The first motivation behind the media was to educate the general population of any news on an authentic, fair minded, and truthful way and we managed the press in which constitutionally ensured flexibility of the press. Benefit spurs this new development of the press. • 8. Self Acceptance In Stargirl In Stargirl, Jerry Spinelli shows us that happiness comes from self acceptance and being true to yourself, rather than seeking the approval of others. When Stargirl first comes to Mica High, everyone is shocked by her long dresses and odd behaviors. She is far different than anyone else they had ever seen, and because of this, her peers do not accept her. While this would make most teenagers would be devastated by the rejection, it has no effect on her happiness or treatment of others. Leo says, She laughed when there was no joke. She danced when there was no music. She had no friends, yet she was the friendliest person in the school (15). This shows that from the start, Stargirl s happiness comes from within, not from others opinions. She did not need others to be friendly to her in order for her to accept everyone else, nor did she need others to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Around the middle of the story, Stargirl decides to become normal to appease Leo, but quickly loses her happiness. In the book, Leo describes a wagon in Stargirl s room that represents her mood. When she is happy, she puts stones in, and when she is unhappy she takes stones out. At the start of the story, Stargirl has over twenty stones in the wagon, despite being ostracized from society. When Stargirl turned into Susan, Leo noticed a change. He says, That night we did homework together at her house. I ducked into her room to check out her happy wagon. There were only two stones in it (143). The lack of stones shows that she dislikes her life when she tries to be Susan, rather than being herself. This means that If the stones are a metaphor for Stargirl s happiness, it is clear that changing into someone she is not in order to make Leo happy makes her miserable. She clearly was more fulfilled being true to herself, even if it meant having no friends. This suggests that happiness comes from acceptance within, rather than having the approval of ... The hall block and St Peter s Chapel were radically changed with the insertion of an upper floor. He brutally desecrated Isabella de Fortibus s chapel in the southeast corner of the hall as he needed to increase accommodation and so built an upper floor in the chapel, destroying its medieval detail. • 11. The Role Of Community In African And Middle Eastern... Literature is defined as, writings in prose or verse; especially : writings having excellence of form or expression and expressing ideas of permanent or universal interest (Merriam Webster). In both African and Middle Eastern literature, there is an overlap in theme, motif, and ideas. There is an awareness of community over oneself present in both forms of literature. The role of women in both societies is viewed as one of a lesser importance than the male presence. A discrepancy in the similarity between Middle Eastern and African literature is the presence of a mystical unexplainable presence in African literature. The presence of community and its role is presented in both African and Middle Eastern literature. These themes can be seen a variety of times in both pieces of literature. In The Beekeeper s Journey the idea of inclusivity and community is presented as the author writes, He could not fire a rifle with accuracy, he could not use a blade with any skill, and he knew nothing about fighting, so he would die... (The Beekeeper s Journey 8). In this Abbas (The main character of the story) is so committed to a sense of duty that he is willing to die for his community. Through this connection to his community, he is knowingly entering a battle with the knowledge that he will die. Thus furthering the idea of community over oneself in this story and many others that fall into the same genre of Middle Eastern literature. A piece of African literature that ... Similarities Between To Kill A Mockingbird And Hamlet Structuralism states that both Hamlet and Bob Ewell condemn themselves, as they are both responsible for the deaths of innocent people (Polonius and Tom Robinson respectively.) Although Hamlet is the protagonist in the play, contrasting with Bob Ewell being the villain in To Kill a Mockingbird. The two texts show that, good or evil, the murder of an innocent person will create chaos in a community and until it is resolved by the subsequent death of the murderer, the chaos will continue. For instance in Hamlet, when Hamlet goes to speak with his mother after the play, he believes Claudius is spying on them from behind a curtain. He stabs at the intruder without verifying their identity and finds out it is not the King, but Polonius his right hand man. HAMLET What s this, a rat? I ll bet a buck he s a dead rat now. Hamlet believes he is justified in killing Polonius although this is not true and dresses Ophelia mad when she hears of her father s death. Although Hamlet s intention was to kill Claudius he condemns himself in killing an innocent person. As a matter of fact, he is so driven to kill Claudius he does not even know who he has killed. For example, Jack made a rush and stabbed at Ralph s chest with his spear.... They were chest to chest, breathing fiercely, pushing and glaring (177). This shows his complete transformation. • 22. The Performance Of Tone Mapping 3 PREVIOUS WORK Because of the great interest of HDR images and their advantages, tone mapping techniques are used to display these images on LDR devices. Many researchers made different studies for evaluating the performance of tone mapping algorithms. Debevec and Malik proposed that a HDR image can be created from three or more LDR images of the same scene under different exposures. Through technological advances and the development of photograph technology, we can get access to HDR cameras which can take HDR photos and videos directly now. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for tone mapping algorithms. There are two types of tone mapping algorithm: global operators and local operators. The global tone mapping methods are simply mapped the input HDR image I^h (x,y) to an output LDR image I^l (x,y) = f (I^h (x,y)) , where f () is a global compression function which is spatially invariant, such as gamma function, linear function, histogram based function and the function adapted to tone reproduction curves. Hence, the local tone mapping methods decompose the input HDR image into multiple layers or areas, apply different compressing algorithm in different layers or areas and recombine all the layers or areas into a LDR image. Similar with Durand, Farbman which segmented the HDR image into two layer a base layer and a detail layer, while the base layer is obtained by applying an alternative edge reserving smoothing operator and the detail layer is obtained by ... • 25. Guns Do Kill People By Philip Caputo In Guns do kill people, an article by Philip Caputo on the changes that need to be made to gun safety and gun laws, Caputo brings to light the problem that mass destruction firearms create in our world. Most do not understand the harm of semi automatic handguns, but as someone who has had experience firsthand of the destruction they have, he shows the impact that is made by them. Based on his experience with semi automatic weapons and his research of past violence in the United States, Caputo makes a compelling argument to justify outlawing mass destruction firearms. Caputo has had first hand experience with the harm that semi automatic firearms have. He served a tour of duty with a Marine Rifle Company in Vietnam and was seriously wounded by an AK 47. He is intimately aware of the design of what these weapons are meant to do. These weapons are made to kill people; as many as possible, as quickly as possible (Caputo). According to Caputo s experience, it is shown that he is aware of the repercussions that these weapons have and what they can do. Caputo, being a hunter who owns shotguns and rifles, says it is prohibited to bring a weapon of mass destruction into the fields. A semi automatic 9mm handgun is not meant to injure or severely wound, it is meant to kill no matter what the cost. For example, the use of semi automatic firearms outside of the military and the federal government could be extremely detrimental to many civilians and their everyday lives. Most ... However, due to process philosophy, we can now see that same institution is being attacked and transformed into something that God objects to. As Christians, the Bible is our way to better understand and worship God. If we explore the ESV version in Genesis 2, we see God made man and woman and said that they shall become one flesh . Something that is so clearly stated that is sinful, our government leaders have decided to legalize. How can we, as God s people, think that we have a right to change one of God s laws? The answer is Marxism. Once we start disobeying God and start creating our own rules, we begin sinning against God. The consequences of Marxism can be witnessed everyday if we pay close attention. Marxism teaches that everyone is born into a classless society, with everyone being the same. Today, you can observe other people that constantly need to be like everyone else and to have the material things that everyone else has. These basic ideas of conforming are Marxist in nature and are actually mentioned in Ecclesiastes 4:4 7. Eventually, if we follow the path of Marxism, we see how it goes from Capitalism, to Socialism, to Communism. Socialism though, is what we are dealing with more and more in our daily lives. We see it happening in our government, work, and if we re not cautious, we will eventually see it in our families. Socialism is visible at work every day, especially in regards to welfare. What is your understanding of humanity and the human need for divine grace? I believe that human beings, who have the image of God, are the best creature in the world. Therefore, they can instinctually recognize the existence of God and have capacities to choose somethings and to create somethings creatively. For John Wesley, human beings are created by God in the image of God, which means that they have similar characteristics to God. Scott J. Jones insists, we share God s nature in that we are immortal spirits who have various divine capacities: understanding, freedom of the will, and affections. In this view, in the beginning, the human beings have capacities not only to understand God in the communication between God and them, but also to choose and do anything which they want. However, at the Fall, their characteristics given by God became malfunctioned by Adam s exploiting their free will not obey God, but disobey God, which generates the original sin. It s a tale about patriotism and defilement, about connivances and partnerships. It s a tale about administration and the complexity amongst opportunity and oppression. As I read up on Julius Caesar before observing it, I found an assortment of sentiments on what the play is about (not too sudden, really, since it is a play by Shakespeare). A few pundits take a gander at the play as an announcement about the perils of an outright ruler they take a gander at the play s execution in Elizabethan and Jacobean England as the most huge thing about it. • 32. The Dangers Of Technology And Technology Technology consuming our lives, making us so attached to it that a moment without it feels like we are dying. We use technology to cure our epidemic of boredom with mindless activities like watching videos or scrolling through social media. We are never really alone with our own thoughts; we always have hundreds of people we can access at the press of a button. When my computer died a few years back, I had nothing else to access my favorite websites, so I simply borrowed my parent s until I bought a new one. Boredom, or solitude, felt so unusual for me; I had no clue what to do with myself. I couldn t just sit there and be bored. Instead, I immediately filled that void with technology once again when I could have just waited a few days for when I got my laptop. Even when I claim that I am doing nothing, I still have headphones in or some video or show for background noise. I strategically avoid the feeling of boredom all the time, and I immediately turn to my technology to do so. Professor Sherry Turkle states in her essay, Solitude , that the decline of solitude has negative effects on children s health, and technology is the cause. She discusses how time spent alone is essential for developing certain qualities and skills as a child, such as empathy and creativity. Also, she goes over how people are becoming addicted to technology, never leaving its side, and turning to it for emotional outlets or getaways. She also mentions how parents are pushing this life style onto their children. Turkle correctly concludes that solitude is an important part of childhood, and people today turn to their phones instead of boredom. According to Turkle, for a child to properly develop mentally, solitude is needed. As Turkle stated, It s the capacity for solitude that allows you to reach out to others and see them as separate and independent. ... This makes the capacity for solitude essential to the development of empathy (Turkle 61). By being in solitude, people notice themselves and how they are one person and capable of doing things on their own. With that realization, a person would then be able to look at others and come to the same conclusion that they too are independent from others, that they are not just part of a ... • 33. Persuasive Essay On Redemption In the Bible there is a story about a cruel and hateful man named Saul. He would track down and kill anyone belonging to the then new Christian faith, and he hated anything to do with Jesus. He would put both men and women into prison, and he was responsible for approving the stoning of one of the seven disciples told to go out and tell people about Jesus, Stephen. And he is probably one of the most classic examples of redemption known to Western Christian civilization. To put his long story concisely, he was traveling to Damascus and then Jesus approached him from heaven, blinding him with light and telling him he needed to do what Jesus said. Blind and helpless, he didn t eat or drink anything for three days, and then Jesus sent a man named Ananias who was actually very much afraid of Saul to heal his blindness, because God had chosen him to be a disciple. When Saul was healed, he turned away from his genocidal ways, and eventually became known as Paul, a messenger of the Good News of Christ and the main writer of a chunk of the New Testament of the Bible. This Saul to Paul effect, while one of the earlier examples of redemption from evil acts, has certainly not been the last. Redemption has always been a controversial topic, particularly if one s crimes are numerous and/or horrific part of the reason the death penalty is so often debated in America for its morality. The most well established way of creating a mortgage is in fact by deed and, furthermore, s.23(1) states a mortgage of a registered land cannot be created by lease. It is made clear Josiah is the sole registered owner of the property. As for the question whether the legal date of redemption is passed this can be proven with the case of Payne . As we know from the current case Josiah has missed 3 mortgage payments. However, in the case of Payne it was established that defaulting on an instalment was equal to a defaulting on the whole mortgage. As such it is safe to say both conditions are met and the power of sale has arisen. What Fed Bank needs to prove next is whether their right to sell has become exercisable, the conditions for which can be found in s. 103 of the LPA 1925. One of them states the power becomes exercisable if the mortgagors have missed two monthly instalments. As Josiah has missed three, this means the bank can safely sell the property. Since a mortgage is considered a contract of loan, Fed Bank can also sue Josiah for a breach. This can happen particularly if they feel the sale of the property has not repaid what they have been owed. This was the case of Rudge where it was held the sale of the property did not release the mortgagor from the duty to pay any balance remaining due. Just because something is labelled as illegal does not mean it is bad. Likewise, when something is labelled as legal does not mean it is not bad. Throughout the progression of time, the Western outlook on Marijuana has changed drastically. A few decades ago, the idea of smoking Marijuana was perceived as a menace to the public and the discussion of legalizing Marijuana was greatly frowned upon. Particularly during the early 1970 s when President Nixon proposed the war on drugs policy, where he proclaimed, The public enemy number one in the United States is drug abuse (Sharp, 1994, p.1). Despite the war on drugs policy, several decades later, America began legalizing the recreational use of Marijuana in four different States including; Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. Similarly, with the United States impact, Canada is in the midst of legalizing Marijuana with the new Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau in power.
