1988, half of Brazil s population did not have health care coverage (World Health Organization).
This changed when Brazil implemented Unified Health System (Sistema Гљnico de SaГєde) which
provided universal free healthcare coverage for its citizens. Since its enactment, 75% of Brazil s
population now rely on Sistema Гљnico de SaГєde (SUS) as their sole provider of health coverage,
making it the largest public health system in the world (World Health Organization). SUS receives
its funding primarily through federal and local taxation totaling $208 billion (Deliotte).
However, this large amount of spending is not reflected in the quality of healthcare provided to
Brazilians. Brazil has an estimated 2.5 hospital beds per 1,000 citizens and the beds are of bad
quality and are poorly distributed (Deliotte). Brazil s Federal Medical Council conducted a
survey that showed 93% of Brazilians considered the healthcare systems to be either very bad or
mediocre (Deliotte). While more Brazilians have access to healthcare than ever before, the quality
of care does not meet the requirements that would allow the system to be truly effective. Despite its

Meditation is a state of consciousness without focus on the world around you. The goal of

My Personal Worldview
In my personal opinion, a worldview consists of the sum total of an individual s perspectives on
the relationships between the sphere of their own personal experiences and the sphere of the
variables of the world which lie outside their own control. A worldview could be defined as an
ideology or religion in a narrow sense, but it encompasses more aspects of a person s
relationships to the outside world than a simple ideological path. My personal worldview is that

Courthouse, West Division on February 10, 2017.
On Friday, February 10th, 2017 I visited the King County Courthouse in Seattle to fulfill the

proceedings for two hours. Also, during this time I got familiar with the courthouse and observed

over the poor s conditions means that as God looks down on the dirty circumstances but does
