Escherichia And Gram Staining
Most bacteria are classified as either gram positive or gram negative. Gram positive is a purple stain
and gram negative will appear pink or red. Gram negative can cause many kinds of infections. One
type of bacteria is Escherichia which is a rod shaped bacteria. A Gram stain is used in lab setting to
identify what type of bacteria is present. A sample is placed in a nutrient media and incubated. This
media will encourage bacteria growth present. This process allows for further testing and to identify
what kind of bacteria is present to allow for appropriate treatment.
Bacillus are rod shaped, prokaryotic cells, they form spores (gram positive and gram negative) on
gram staining. Escherichia are rod shaped, prokaryotic cells, however they

Analysis Of Stilsim
Financial Performance Interpretation
Introductory Paragraph A review of a company s financial performance can help determine if the
organization is utilizing its resources to receive the most benefit for the organization for short and long
term planning. This paper will review the current performance of StilSim by comparing it to a
competitor and evaluating its past. A review of the company s short term liquidity, long term solvency,
asset management, and profitability will help to determine the next steps in the strategic plan.
Short Term Liquidity Short term liquidity ratios help to determine if a company can operate
financially on a daily basis (Dess, Lumpkin, Eisner McNamara, 2014). The current ratio, quick ratio
and cash ratio ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These ratios are the most closely viewed by creditors, investors and management (Cornett, Adair
Nofsinger, 2009). The dividend payout ratio is the amount paid to stockholders and the retained
earnings ratio is the opposite (Sustainable Personal Finance, 2011). It is the amount that must be held
back in order to make the payout. Strength or Weakness. StilSim has a very weak dividend payout and
retained earnings. The company is paying out way more than it should and not retaining enough to do
any good. StilSim s retained earnings are negative and the payout is over $2. There must be changes
made to this immediately or the company will not last long. There needs to be a balance.
Profitability Measures
A review of a company s profitability lets investors or managers know how efficiently a company is
operating. There are three key ratios to review. The profit margin, return on equity and return on
assets. The profit margin is the net income divided by sales. The higher the profit margins the better.
The return on equity is net income divided by total equity (Cornett, Adair Nofsinger, 2009).. This can
help to determine the amount of financial leverage the company is using. The return on assets is the
net income divided by total assets. This can also help determine the financial leverage the company is
using in regards to its assets (Cornett, Adair Nofsinger,

Essay On Cash Loans
Once you ve finished reading this article, you should know enough about cash loans to make the right
decision about them, and also be able to explain them to others
Advances with payday loans help you get through to your next payday. These loans always come with
strict fees attached. When you fall behind in your bills, you could ask for extensions and work closely
with your utility service providers to pay your arrangers. Or you can go for a payday loan. A payday
loans is designed for instant relief in emergency situations. Things like utilities about to be shut off,
car repairs, overdrafts, tuition fees, or health costs can be good times to seek a payday loan.

They just verify your employment and banking information, and process the loan. But there are a few
that will have you fax them documents with signatures.
The way payday advance help is in their flexibility. A borrower can be at ease knowing this
transaction is private and discreet. Many advances are used for common things that can sneak up on us
by our mishandling of our monthly budgets.
When you search on the Internet for a loan, you ll see there are many websites devoted to this
industry. If you can find one closer to your area, it could serve you better. Some lenders of these loans
are restricted to their own areas. There is a bit of controversy surrounding this industry in many
places, and some states are trying to shut these resources down.
Many people and officials claim that these payday loans are preying on people who are down
financially, and taking advantage. They feel these lenders are merciless, greedy, and gluttonous,
making their profits off the misfortune of others. But others say you need to look at some of the
traditional loan institutions before being so quick to judge.
In reality, a payday loan can be cheaper than having a bank overdraft. Overdrafts today are quite
expensive. When you obtain a payday loan for paying off overdraft fees, it might cost you, but not as
much as incurring another overdraft fee. If you any type of disconnection charges, you ll probably pay
less for the payday loan for

Analysis Of One Art By Elizabeth Brishon
Elizabeth Bishon s poem One Art explores the universal experience of loss through enacting a
structured, post modern villanelle, which utilizes parody through understatement and disobeying the
rigid structure of a villanelle. The speaker s strategy is revealed through the structural form as well as
the play of language through the speaker s discourse, implications, and ordering. The poem s linguistic
contributions help perform the speaker s poetic purpose. Before entering into the structural form of the
poem, understanding the speaker s motivations can assist in perceiving the reason for choosing the
structure of a villanelle. The speaker appears to be a woman who, perhaps, recently lost a lover. The
final stanza introduces an apostprophé, you, revealing the speaker s motivation for writing. Even
losing you, she says, provides evidence that the art of losing s not too hard to master (16, 15.) The
purpose of the poem builds up to the final stanza, with a litotes understating the severity of loss in an
ironic sentiment, saying, Even losing you...I shan t have lived. It s evident / the art of losing s not too
hard to master (18.) The speaker narrows the focus of the poem till she directly addresses the
addressee, employing humor the soften the hurt of such a loss that may look like...disaster (19.) The
tone of the speaker significantly shifts in the sixth stanza, seen in the intimacy of the loss losing you,
though there are two more minor shifts in the fourth

An Orthopedic Field That Specializes Avoidance And...
Introduction
An orthopedic field that specializes avoidance and management of sports related injuries that range
from minor to serious incidents is known as sports medicine. New treatments arise everyday that
correlate with injury rehabilitation, a relatively new treatment that is performing breakthrough in
medicinal science is gene therapy. It displays great potential in getting athletes back into physical
activity faster, whilst regenerating injury to complete fitness. Even though gene therapy is relatively
new with ten years of research, it is based on the evidence that generating genes outside of the body
and genetically modifying them, before re injecting them back into the body, can help to reinstate
missing genes that are caused by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first type is a viral vector, which is a genetically altered virus that specifically targets injury sites.
Here the genes that are used by the virus to duplicate themselves are detached and substituted with the
anticipated growth factor gene. Viral vector systems remain the most efficient vehicles to achieve long
term stable gene expression in the CNS (Bower, 2011). Afterwards the virus attaches itself to the
injured targets using receptors. Next, viral and/or cellular proteins will allocate the genetic code
(rDNA) for the wanted growth factor within the cytoplasm and into the nucleus. Manifestation of the
growth factor by the genetically transformed target cells can promptly be commenced.
Other ways to introduce growth factors are the use of non viral vectors, like genetically modified
liposomes. The reason non viral vectors are sometimes more preferred is due to the fact that they are
safer, in the sense that they possess lower toxicity and are simpler to concoct that viral vectors.
Although they are safer they have far lesser efficiency in terms of gene transfer, which is a
fundamental element in the achievement of the procedure. The reason gene transfer isn t more
prominent and all over the place is simply due to the fact is the presence of unproductive transfer
vectors, and that is why finding a safer more efficient way of vector transferring

Pathway To Citizenship
If it were up to you, and you had the choice whether or not to give undocumented citizens a chance at
citizenship, would you? Many people believe that they should not have a chance at citizenship
because they came here illegally. Every person has their own opinion on this topic. This debate is one
of many debates going on in between the candidates or even the politicians, but of course they all have
their own views and reasons on it. Everyone should consider that they should because either we are
hurting families or they can help improve our economy. In the next three paragraphs this argument
will be influencing you to side with my claim, that undocumented citizens should get a pathway to
citizenship.
One important reason that undocumented residents should be allowed a pathway to citizenship is that
many of them have american ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not just in money but in resources, we use more resources to deport or capture undocumented citizens
than we can really afford. According to Senator Schumer, Upfront magazine 2016, Without reform,
our immigration laws threaten to tear apart families and force our government to expend precious
resources to deport millions. What Senator Schumer is making clear is that the government is
spending too much money on resources to deport undocumented citizens when instead they could find
a way to make some if not all undocumented citizens a path to citizenship. Some people might argue
that if undocumented citizens cooperated with the law or government there wouldn t be an issue. This
might be true but maybe if the government didn t assume that all undocumented citizens are criminals
and deport them instead of giving them a chance at citizenship, there would also be no issue. The key
point is that instead of focusing on kicking undocumented citizens out, we should be focusing on
making it possible for them to stay as legal

Alone On The Yukon Trail
The man in this story has had a long and difficult journey, filled with emotional and physical pain. The
only company he had was a native dog who followed him everywhere he went. The cold air of the
Yukon trail presented a major problem for the man as he fought off frost bite. Throughout the story he
struggled against nature a lot. With ups and downs along the way, the weather was always against him
as he thought of ways to survive. In the end, nature won.
Alone on the Yukon trail, there was a man climbing in negative 50 degree weather. He did not believe
it when they said it would be that cold. As the temperature dropped below 50 degrees, the man
realized it was quite cold. The only thing to keep him warm was fire. He climbs for many hours,
trying to get back to camp and to the boys. However right now he was alone with a dog. The only
reason the dog stuck by him was so the man could make fire. The dog had learned about fire, and it
wanted fire. however the only way it could obtain fire is if the man made it. No matter what happened

temperature of frost was even worse. Everything was covered with multiple inches of snow and most
of the lakes were frozen solid. However not all of the streams were solid. The man almost fell through
several times and the dog did fall through once when it was forced to cross. The man successfully
made a fire to warm them both up. However, when the man fell to his knees in a lake and he tried to

Court Of Appeal Holding Clarifies Employer Calculation Of...
Court of Appeal Holding Clarifies Employer Calculation of Probationary Period
A recent ruling by the California Court of Appeal clarifies when a government employer should
calculate the beginning and end of an employee s probationary period. In California Department of
Correction and Rehabilitation v. California State Personnel Board (2015) Cal.App.5th , the Court of
Appeal held that the first day of the probationary period should be counted when calculating the
probationary period, and therefore, any notice not properly served as required by statute within the
period is defective.
The case revolved around Appellant, McCauley, who was hired as a Correctional Sergeant at Avenal
State Prison. His new position began on December 2, 2008 and was subject to a 12 month
probationary period before becoming permanent. On December 1, 2009, the California Department of
Correction and Rehabilitation (CDCR) served McCauley with a notice of rejection removing him from
the position effective December 8, 2009. On December 2, 2009, another document was served on him
extending his probationary period until December 8, 2009. McCauley contended the papers were
invalid due to the CDCR s failure to comply with timing and notice requirements in relation to the
duration of the probationary period. He appealed to the California State Personnel Board which agreed
with him and revoked the notice of rejection. The CDCR thereafter challenged the finding by filing a
writ of mandate in the trial

Childhood Is A Complex Concept Of Childhood
Childhood is a complex concept that has never been clearly defined, nor has it stayed a stagnant
concept across all times and cultures. The time period in which a child exists is different depending on
the time you are looking at, as are the characteristics which are attributed to children. In the time
periods that were studied in this class, which spanned from the early modern period of literature up
until the late twentieth century, the idea of childhood and what represented it changed vastly. In some
of our early readings, children were defined as helpless and ignorant, with very little logic or ability to
rationalize or reason. Towards the ends of our readings, when we were getting into the books that were
produced in the twentieth century, childhood is still portrayed as innocent, but also as playful and
creative, and full of life, laughter and friendship.
In the 1700s, children were seen as naïve, powerless, needing protection, and very impressionable. In
Alice s Adventures in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll attempts to create a child which is idealistically
innocent and capable of reason. In his fantasy world of Wonderland, Carroll shows an imaginative and
creative child who isn t afraid of the unusual things she is presented with, but instead embraces them
and the differences that they portray as she is different herself. He takes an interesting stance for the
time period on portraying mental health problems as something that is able to be coped with and that

Mesoscale Convective Systems
Mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) are defined as any group of thunderstorms producing a
contiguous precipitation area on the order of 100 km or more in horizontal scale in at least one
direction and can be both linear and circular in nature (Markowski and Richardson 2010). Linear
MCSs are also known as quasi linear convective systems (QLCS) or squall lines. QLCS also
encompass bow echoes and line echo wave patterns (LEWPs). QLCSs are organized lines of
convection that commonly occur over portions of the United States (Trapp et al. 2005), and can
produce all forms of severe weather, including hail, strong straight line winds, and occasionally can
spawn tornadoes (Smith et al. 2012). Trapp et al. (2005) found that about 18% of all tornadoes in the
US are associated with QLCSs. The development of the QLCS is dependent upon the storm produced
cold pool and the environmental shear. As the line of storms propagates, rain cooled air descends from
the downdraft to the surface and spreads ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the jet behind the line of storms descends and strengthens, it pushes forward a segment of the
convective line, creating a bow echo (Figure 2.2). Mesovortices are often formed upon the creation of
a bow echo (Trapp and Weisman 2003 Part II). A mesovortex typically occurs on the northern edge of
the bow echo and is called the bookend vortex . This portion of the bow is typically considered a
highly favorable area for tornadogenesis along a QLCS, and these tornadoes usually occur on the cold
side of the gust front (Fujita 1978, Trapp and Weisman 2003 Part II). In many instances, tornadoes
associated with QLCSs will not exhibit any definitive characteristics suggesting the presence of a
tornado. However, occasionally they can exhibit supercell like features embedded within the line, with
associated deep mesocyclonic structures, notches, or hook echoes in the rain field (Przybylinkski and

Social Welfare Policies During The Transition Countries Of...
Since graduation from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, I have gained considerable
research experience in Public finance and management. Specifically, I am interested in study of social
welfare policies in transition countries of central Asia. I am concerned with the status of vulnerable
groups of population particularly, the aged, women, children, the disabled, and the poor. In most
transition countries, the political and economic collapse of
90s had the devastating effects on the certain groups of population. The sharp decline in size of the
government has greatly affected and in some sense triggered the transformation of the scope of social
welfare policies. Most Eastern and Central European countries have diminished the scope social
welfare policies in harmonized and planned way.
Instead of diluting the resources and efforts on multiple goals and supporting them in a sickly manner
they focused on a selected public products, projects and programs. Subsequently, quality of social
welfare programs has not suffered much. In contrast, governments across Central Asia cut the public
expenditures on social welfare in incoherent manner.
Half financed public health care and pension systems, child care and early education institutions,
unemployment and disability subsidies have barely survived. Besides, economic reforms in these
countries proceeded with much greater hardships; consequently, benefit payments have been
negligible and social welfare policy in most

Norms Are The Expectations, Or Rules Of Behavior
Norms are the expectations, or rules of behavior that develop to reflect and enforce values. A norm
violation is when a person goes against a certain way that culture and society expects one to act. When
going against the norm it means that you are doing something that is not acceptable to one s society or
their culture. Normative behavior is expected to be in every culture. For example, in our society men
and women have the freedom to wear whatever they please, we are allowed to show our legs, arms,
feet etc. because its an expression of who we are and what we like. In the Muslim culture when a
women reaches puberty no part of her body should remain uncovered except the face and the hand up
to the wrist joint. If the Muslim woman wore shorts and a t shirt it would be considered a violation of
a norm. But because this violation differs from our American Society it wouldn t be considered weird
or strange to wear shorts and a tee.
The norm violation i preformed was the invasion of privacy. People are used to being in a bubble,
having a couple feet of space among themselves and strangers. So what i did was go to my local
Target and basically creep four people out. I started off by walking up to these people individually. and
standing so close to them to where our shoulders met. The only common reaction they shared was
confusion. Two of the customers didn t see me coming, i snuck up on them. One of them (a middle

Tata Motors began manufacturing commercial vehicles in 1954 with a 15 year collaboration
agreement with Daimler Benz of Germany.
This partnership has led Tata Motors to not only become India‟s largest automobile company but also
India‟s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer; the world‟s top five manufactures of medium and
heavy trucks and the world‟s second largest medium and heavy bus manufacturer. Having just entered
the passenger vehicles market segment in 1991, Tata
Motors now ranks second in India‟s passenger vehicle market.
Tata has enjoyed the prestige of having developed Tata Ace, India‟s first indigenous light commercial
vehicle; Tata Safari, India‟s first sports utility vehicle; Tata Indica, India‟s first indigenously
manufactured passenger car; and the Nano, the world‟s least expensive car.

For the Sake of Our Planet, Tourism Should Be...
The world is huge and mysterious, full of wonders and surprises, and humans are ever inquisitive by
nature. The need for human to consistently travel and quench their curiousity through new discoveries
had been evident since early civilization. Like those myths and legends of Gulliver s Travels to
appease the curiousity of people in the pastof the vast , unknwon Eart, to the real history and conquers
of Marco Popl, humans have never find it enough to stop unreveling the wonders of nature and Earth
to cease travelling. Especially with the advancement of and improvement of transport technologies.
When we needed months, even years, of perilous travels across oceans, now we just need a few
luxurious hours on planes to reach our destinations. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The environment may be destroyed in the process of building these infrastructures, like the clearing of
lands for not only the hotels and shops, but also for better accessibility and transport system. This may
eventually lead to overcrowding of the tourist spot. Following are the air and noise pollution,
unavoidable when overpopulation occurs. This further degrades the environment.
Therefore tourism should be discouraged as it can cause great harm to the environment of that
particular tourist spot with the influx followed by the tourism industry.
Also the travelling in modern modes of transports like air palnes and various land transports releases
large amount of carbon gases that can result in global temperature rise. And of course the rise in
carbon emmision is a major influece from the rise in tourism as many prefer the mode of transport by
air. The advancemnet of transporation technology by air has not only hasten travelling time, but as
thismode of transport became more common, it became cheaper as well. Many budget airline
companies are springing out, making travelling more affordable and more popular. However 12% of
the world s carbon emmision is contributed by aviation.
Although there are many other industries and activities, like factories wastes, which produce more
carbon emmision than air travel alone, discouraging tourism (along with other sectors) can help cut
down on the carbon emmision.
But on the other hand, as more people travel due to their

Pinto Bean Plants
I started off with two dicot plants (pinto beans) and was able to observe the sprout. In both dicot seeds
the root sprout first followed by the stalk. Once the plants had developed mature roots they were
transferred to a pot of soil where they remained for the rest of their time. As time passed one of the
pinto bean plants dried out and the other was fertilized producing a bean pod, which can be seen in the
picture for week 14. This could have occurred because of the competition that plant faced for sunlight
and water. The surviving dicot plant was the one that sprouted first of the two, possibly giving it a
slight advantage over the other plant. Being the first to sprout allowed it to have more time to develop
it roots as well as grow. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cross sections demonstrated the basic differences that distinguish a monocot plant for a dicot
plant. When looking at the cross section of the monocot stem you can see that the vascular bundles are
scattered. These vascular bundles consist of only a phloem and xylem. The phloem is responsible for
transporting soluble compounds (food) created by photosynthesis, to the rest of the plant, especially
where they are needed. The xylem is important for the movement of water throughout the plant.
Another difference that can be seen by looking at the cross section of at stem is that the ground tissue
(parenchyma) is not partitioned into pith and cortex. In the dicot stem cross section the vascular
bundles form a ring and they are made up of a phloem, xylem, and a cambium which divides the two.
The ground tissue (parenchyma) for a dicot is separate into a pith (nutrient storage and distribution)
and a cortex (conducting tissues). The Leaf cross sections reveal the venation of each plant. For
monocots, the veins appeared run parallel to each other, while the veins for the dicot plant had no clear
pattern. The root cross sections also displayed differences between the groups belonging to the
phylum Anthophyta. The root cross section of a monocot is formed by vascular bundles that are

Contributions Of Harriet Tubman
Every once in awhile, magazines or websites will post a list of the most influential people of all time.
This is similar to TIME Magazine s list of the 100 most influential people in the world each year
(Gibbs, 2017). While looking at the different opinions of the most influential people, it was surprising
to see that Harriet Tubman was not included on Business Insider, Biography Online, or TIME s list
(Garfield, 2016; Hart, 1978; Skiena Ward, 2013). Harriet Tubman was a very influential woman who

Al Capone and Probation Essay
Al Capone is the single greatest symbol of collapse of law and order in the United States during the
Prohibition Era. The act of Prohibition brought power to Al Capone, which he used to expand his
organized crime activities into a stranglehold over the city of Chicago. Liquor trade became very
profitable during Prohibition, and the struggle for control over the bootleg empire erupted into a full
scale war between rival gangs in Chicago. Capone gradually came to symbolize all the criminal evils
of prohibition; to many throughout the world, he became the symbol of a lawless nation#. Publicity
grew around the actions of Capone, with accounts of his sordid activities published in newspapers
along with his image of power, money, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Using his authority, Capone was able to spread corruption throughout the system. He terrorized voters,
invaded polling places and seized ballot boxes, he was able to handpick the candidates into city offices
and became the undisputed ruler of Chicago. Capone contributed freely to the campaign funds of his
political friends, and he supplied men for election boards and delivered repeat voters. Officials in
return, granted Capone almost complete immunity from the law (police force) which provided him
with protection not only for liquor rackets, but for the spread of all other criminal activities.#
Combining the power of his money and his reputation, Capone s gang moved into high places of
government, into legitimate businesses, labour unions, employer s associations, industrial
racketeering, the protection rackets, blackmail and extortion. Ensuring complete protection from the
law, Capone also enhanced older forms for crime, such as vice, crooked gambling, robbery, larceny,
kidnapping and killing for hire. Capone established control of public services and private corporations,
he bought his way into the manipulation of stocks and owned copious amounts of real estate
throughout Chicago. #
Naturally, the demand for liquor drastically increased during Prohibition and Al Capone seized this
opportunity. Using

The Constitutional And Statutory History Of The Right
To understand the present scope of the right to a trial by jury in civil actions, it is necessary to examine
the constitutional and statutory history of the right. The United States Constitution has preserved the
right to a jury trial in [s]uits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty
dollars. The New York Constitution provides for trial by jury in civil actions in all cases in which it
has heretofore been guaranteed. In addition to the constitutional right, this right has been further
codified in CPLR Section 4101. The cases in which jury trials are required are generally those actions
that evolved through the common law courts versus those developed in the equity courts, which are
tried by the court alone.
Courts of equity were the Chancery courts and existed historically as an entirely separate department
from the Supreme Court, imitating the historical arrangement in place in England. A primary reason
for the development of the Chancery courts was to provide a means of redress where the common law
provided an inadequate remedy or no remedy at all. In equity, generally the court s power is to direct
someone to act or to forbear from acting, which circumstances clearly cannot be redressed by the
award of money damages.
In New York, with the passage of the 1846 Constitution, law and equity were merged so that
jurisdiction could be had by the same tribunal regardless of the nature of the suit. Legal and equitable
jurisdictions

Sexualization Of Beauty Pageants
When most people think of beauty pageants, they think of Barbie like little girls with their tiny
bedazzled dresses and swimsuits strutting their stuff on stage while showing off their million dollar
smile. The pageant judges watch their every move looking for a mistake in their routine while an
audience of mostly moms screams, applauds, and cheers for them behind the line of judges, showing
the girls the exact moves they are supposed to be doing. A beauty pageant is an assembly of girls or
women at which judges select the most beautiful (Cartwright). Beauty pageants are one of the fastest

They promote a materialistic belief that tells young girls that physical beauty is most important. The
number of young girls who are growing up too early is growing rapidly throughout the United States
and the rest of the world. Kids are deprived of their childhood because pageants take up all their time
and they make them eager to grow up because of all the makeup and glitz. When they want to go
outside and play with their friends, they are forced to practice for hours before an upcoming pageant.
They grow up way too fast because parents are allowing them to wear revealing clothes and act
inappropriately for their age. For example, Windy Dickey dressed her daughter, Paisley, Winner of
many Child Beauty Pageants, up in a costume that was exactly the same as Julia Roberts character
wore in the movie Pretty Woman the fitted, skin baring white blouse, the tight blue mini skirt and
thigh high, shiny black boots (Canning). These young girls wear tons of makeup, false eyelashes, have
their eyebrows done, have fake hair and even flippers which are fake teeth. Beauty pageant contestants
may develop a misconception about life and beauty while being involved in them. They may grow up
to believe that only physical beauty matters and that it is the primary judge of one s self worth.
Pageants can damage the self esteem of a young girl when things do not go as she would hope

described how her family has always held on to the belief that family problems should remain in the

Cloud Computing Is A Web Based Utility Model
Cloud computing is a web based utility model. Cybercrime effecting web based systems are equally
applicable in the cloud computing. Considering the affectability and the harm that can be created by
cybercrimes, this is an effort to examine the different digital dangers and routines used to mitigate
them. Firstly, the paper will highlight cloud utilization according to different service models (IaaS,
PaaS, and SaaS) and the potential dangers that are pertinent to these service models. Next, it highlights
the commercial industries that are generally attacked. Lastly, we propose a complete five stage model
to relieve cybercrime. It begins with disinfecting the client s PC, usage of security amid transmission
and closures with the information present in the cloud. Sticking to the proposed model, cybercrime
may be controlled up to 90%. Instead of the five stage model, some companies frequently rely upon
replicating the information.

In this experience self consciousness learns that life is essential to it as pure self consciousness. One
(self consciousness) is self sufficient; for it, its essence is being for itself. The other is non self
sufficient, for it, life, that is, being for an other, is the essence. The former is the master, the latter is

Evolution Of A Beetle Research Paper
Introduction/Definition
In the natural world, the animal s survival is based on the premise of how well they adapt in a
particular environment and form relationships with other species. Animals have survived for
thousands of years, because of this focused reasoning. Success is accredited to the outsmarting of
adversaries by several known strategic techniques, such as camouflage, deceptive markings, warning
coloration, and chemical defense, but the most intriguing is mimicry. Camouflage and mimicry are
defined by Peter Forbes as the resemblance that one life form has either to another or to a part of the

Taking a Look at French Macarons
French macarons, also known as macarons , are one of the most popular treats in the world. Today, it
consists of a crunchy shell but chewy inside and are sandwiched between a great filling. Many
countries have their own variations of a macaron, but French macarons are the most well known in the
United States. Macarons have changed greatly since their origination, from their fragrances and
flavors, to the beautiful colors of their shells.
A macaron is a simple French cookie that has it s many originations. The shell of the macaron has
derived way back to the Renaissance, according to Dominique Michelle. Macaron shells are made of
almonds, which were mainly exported from Arabic countries. The almonds were transported to Rome,
then into Italy to be made into an almond paste in the early 1500 s. This paste was served as a round,
dry cookie that was feasted upon in savory dishes, rather than dessert.
The paste finally made it s way to France in 1533 because of Italian wife of Henri II, Catherine de
Medicis. She was born in Italy and was taught by her father the recipe of the almond paste.
Supposedly, the cookie had saved her from dying of starvation. At this time, the cookie was served
plain with no color or filling. Italian bakers named this delicacy a macaron . The cookie got it s name
from the Italian word macaroni because it was made with similar ingredients. Almond flour, an egg
meringue, and sugar were the simple ingredients in the recipe to make the macaron cookies

The Application Of Hardware And Software
Introduction
Throughout the semester, the class was composed of lectures and recitations where we learn to use
MatLab, PSpice, and myDAQ. After ten recitations, we were assign a group project that demonstrated
the knowledge we had gained throughout the entirety of the course. Although we had the option to
choose from the following three detention circuits: a resistor thermistor voltage divider circuit, a
phototransistor resistor voltage divider circuit, or a standard PC microphone driving the audioInput of
the myDAQ, my group opted out towards the PC microphone detention circuit. Within the PC
microphone detention circuit, the microphone should have been able to detect three different states of
noise. The first state consists of the microphone detecting no noise, the second state consists of the
microphone detecting the presence of some noise, and the third state consists of the microphone
detecting a louder noise than usual.
The Implementation of Hardware and Software
For this project we used a smartphone and the myDAQ in order to make a detection circuit that could
detect no noise, low noise, and high noise. We first connected the myDAQ to the computer and then
plugged the myDaq with the smartphone, since the phone was the sound source. We then created a
new Blank VI project in LabView, we started by producing a while loop followed by choosing acquire

Jezebel Beliefs
The kingdom of Israel was divided into two kingdoms. The northern kingdom of Israel was made up
of ten tribes not including Judah and Benjamin. The northern kingdom was known as Israel and the
southern kingdom was known as Judah. King Omri, Ahab s father founded Samaria, the capital of
Israel. It survived approximately up until 722 BC when the Assyrians destroyed it. Every king who
ruled over Israel was evil. An example of this is, King Ahab who married Jezebel princess of
Phoenicia, which would be the reason for the fall of the kingdom. Ahab was the son Omri. Jezebel was
the daughter of Ethbaal, King of Tyre. Jezebel introduced the worship of Baal and other idols. She

Analysis Of Stilsim Financial Performance Interpretation Introductory Paragraph A review of a company s financial performance can help determine if the organization is utilizing its resources to receive the most benefit for the organization for short and long term planning. This paper will review the current performance of StilSim by comparing it to a competitor and evaluating its past. A review of the company s short term liquidity, long term solvency, asset management, and profitability will help to determine the next steps in the strategic plan. Short Term Liquidity Short term liquidity ratios help to determine if a company can operate financially on a daily basis (Dess, Lumpkin, Eisner McNamara, 2014). The current ratio, quick ratio and cash ratio ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These ratios are the most closely viewed by creditors, investors and management (Cornett, Adair Nofsinger, 2009). The dividend payout ratio is the amount paid to stockholders and the retained earnings ratio is the opposite (Sustainable Personal Finance, 2011). It is the amount that must be held back in order to make the payout. Strength or Weakness. StilSim has a very weak dividend payout and retained earnings. The company is paying out way more than it should and not retaining enough to do any good. StilSim s retained earnings are negative and the payout is over $2. There must be changes made to this immediately or the company will not last long. There needs to be a balance. Profitability Measures A review of a company s profitability lets investors or managers know how efficiently a company is operating. There are three key ratios to review. The profit margin, return on equity and return on assets. The profit margin is the net income divided by sales. The higher the profit margins the better. The return on equity is net income divided by total equity (Cornett, Adair Nofsinger, 2009).. This can help to determine the amount of financial leverage the company is using. The purpose of the poem builds up to the final stanza, with a litotes understating the severity of loss in an ironic sentiment, saying, Even losing you...I shan t have lived. Phishing tricks have been receiving far reaching press scope in light of the fact that such assaults have been heightening in number and refinement. As indicated by a study by Gartner, 57 million US Web clients have distinguished the receipt of email connected to phishing tricks and around 2 million of them are assessed to have been deceived into giving away delicate data. This paper shows a novel program augmentation, AntiPhish, that expects to ensure clients against mock site based phishing assaults. Introduction An orthopedic field that specializes avoidance and management of sports related injuries that range from minor to serious incidents is known as sports medicine. New treatments arise everyday that correlate with injury rehabilitation, a relatively new treatment that is performing breakthrough in medicinal science is gene therapy. It displays great potential in getting athletes back into physical activity faster, whilst regenerating injury to complete fitness. Even though gene therapy is relatively new with ten years of research, it is based on the evidence that generating genes outside of the body and genetically modifying them, before re injecting them back into the body, can help to reinstate missing genes that are caused by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first type is a viral vector, which is a genetically altered virus that specifically targets injury sites. Here the genes that are used by the virus to duplicate themselves are detached and substituted with the anticipated growth factor gene. Viral vector systems remain the most efficient vehicles to achieve long term stable gene expression in the CNS (Bower, 2011). Afterwards the virus attaches itself to the injured targets using receptors. Next, viral and/or cellular proteins will allocate the genetic code (rDNA) for the wanted growth factor within the cytoplasm and into the nucleus. Manifestation of the growth factor by the genetically transformed target cells can promptly be commenced. Other ways to introduce growth factors are the use of non viral vectors, like genetically modified liposomes. The reason non viral vectors are sometimes more preferred is due to the fact that they are safer, in the sense that they possess lower toxicity and are simpler to concoct that viral vectors. Although they are safer they have far lesser efficiency in terms of gene transfer, which is a fundamental element in the achievement of the procedure. The reason gene transfer isn t more prominent and all over the place is simply due to the fact is the presence of unproductive transfer vectors, and that is why finding a safer more efficient way of vector transferring Gene Therapy s Benefits in Sports Injuries The fact that the cartilage, and meniscus of the ... Everyone should consider that they should because either we are hurting families or they can help improve our economy. According to Senator Schumer, Upfront magazine 2016, Without reform, our immigration laws threaten to tear apart families and force our government to expend precious resources to deport millions. What Senator Schumer is making clear is that the government is spending too much money on resources to deport undocumented citizens when instead they could find a way to make some if not all undocumented citizens a path to citizenship. Some people might argue that if undocumented citizens cooperated with the law or government there wouldn t be an issue. This might be true but maybe if the government didn t assume that all undocumented citizens are criminals and deport them instead of giving them a chance at citizenship, there would also be no issue. The only company he had was a native dog who followed him everywhere he went. The cold air of the Yukon trail presented a major problem for the man as he fought off frost bite. Throughout the story he struggled against nature a lot. With ups and downs along the way, the weather was always against him as he thought of ways to survive. In the end, nature won. Alone on the Yukon trail, there was a man climbing in negative 50 degree weather. He did not believe it when they said it would be that cold. Court of Appeal Holding Clarifies Employer Calculation of Probationary Period A recent ruling by the California Court of Appeal clarifies when a government employer should calculate the beginning and end of an employee s probationary period. In California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation v. California State Personnel Board (2015) Cal.App.5th , the Court of Appeal held that the first day of the probationary period should be counted when calculating the probationary period, and therefore, any notice not properly served as required by statute within the period is defective. The case revolved around Appellant, McCauley, who was hired as a Correctional Sergeant at Avenal State Prison. His new position began on December 2, 2008 and was subject to a 12 month probationary period before becoming permanent. On December 1, 2009, the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation (CDCR) served McCauley with a notice of rejection removing him from the position effective December 8, 2009. On December 2, 2009, another document was served on him extending his probationary period until December 8, 2009. McCauley contended the papers were invalid due to the CDCR s failure to comply with timing and notice requirements in relation to the duration of the probationary period. He appealed to the California State Personnel Board which agreed with him and revoked the notice of rejection. The CDCR thereafter challenged the finding by filing a writ of mandate in the trial ... • 12. Childhood Is A Complex Concept Of Childhood Childhood is a complex concept that has never been clearly defined, nor has it stayed a stagnant concept across all times and cultures. The time period in which a child exists is different depending on the time you are looking at, as are the characteristics which are attributed to children. In the time periods that were studied in this class, which spanned from the early modern period of literature up until the late twentieth century, the idea of childhood and what represented it changed vastly. In some of our early readings, children were defined as helpless and ignorant, with very little logic or ability to rationalize or reason. Towards the ends of our readings, when we were getting into the books that were produced in the twentieth century, childhood is still portrayed as innocent, but also as playful and creative, and full of life, laughter and friendship. In the 1700s, children were seen as naïve, powerless, needing protection, and very impressionable. In Alice s Adventures in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll attempts to create a child which is idealistically innocent and capable of reason. In his fantasy world of Wonderland, Carroll shows an imaginative and creative child who isn t afraid of the unusual things she is presented with, but instead embraces them and the differences that they portray as she is different herself. He takes an interesting stance for the time period on portraying mental health problems as something that is able to be coped with and that should be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mesoscale Convective Systems Mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) are defined as any group of thunderstorms producing a contiguous precipitation area on the order of 100 km or more in horizontal scale in at least one direction and can be both linear and circular in nature (Markowski and Richardson 2010). Linear MCSs are also known as quasi linear convective systems (QLCS) or squall lines. QLCS also encompass bow echoes and line echo wave patterns (LEWPs). QLCSs are organized lines of convection that commonly occur over portions of the United States (Trapp et al. 2005), and can produce all forms of severe weather, including hail, strong straight line winds, and occasionally can spawn tornadoes (Smith et al. 2012). Trapp et al. (2005) found that about 18% of all tornadoes in the US are associated with QLCSs. The development of the QLCS is dependent upon the storm produced cold pool and the environmental shear. In most transition countries, the political and economic collapse of 90s had the devastating effects on the certain groups of population. The sharp decline in size of the government has greatly affected and in some sense triggered the transformation of the scope of social welfare policies. Half financed public health care and pension systems, child care and early education institutions, unemployment and disability subsidies have barely survived. A norm violation is when a person goes against a certain way that culture and society expects one to act. When going against the norm it means that you are doing something that is not acceptable to one s society or their culture. Normative behavior is expected to be in every culture. For example, in our society men and women have the freedom to wear whatever they please, we are allowed to show our legs, arms, feet etc. because its an expression of who we are and what we like. In the Muslim culture when a women reaches puberty no part of her body should remain uncovered except the face and the hand up to the wrist joint. As time passed one of the pinto bean plants dried out and the other was fertilized producing a bean pod, which can be seen in the picture for week 14. The phloem is responsible for transporting soluble compounds (food) created by photosynthesis, to the rest of the plant, especially where they are needed. The xylem is important for the movement of water throughout the plant. Another difference that can be seen by looking at the cross section of at stem is that the ground tissue (parenchyma) is not partitioned into pith and cortex. The Constitutional And Statutory History Of The Right To understand the present scope of the right to a trial by jury in civil actions, it is necessary to examine the constitutional and statutory history of the right. The United States Constitution has preserved the right to a jury trial in [s]uits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars. The New York Constitution provides for trial by jury in civil actions in all cases in which it has heretofore been guaranteed. In addition to the constitutional right, this right has been further codified in CPLR Section 4101. The cases in which jury trials are required are generally those actions that evolved through the common law courts versus those developed in the equity courts, which are tried by the court alone. Courts of equity were the Chancery courts and existed historically as an entirely separate department from the Supreme Court, imitating the historical arrangement in place in England. A primary reason for the development of the Chancery courts was to provide a means of redress where the common law provided an inadequate remedy or no remedy at all. In equity, generally the court s power is to direct someone to act or to forbear from acting, which circumstances clearly cannot be redressed by the award of money damages. Firstly, the paper will highlight cloud utilization according to different service models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and the potential dangers that are pertinent to these service models. Next, it highlights the commercial industries that are generally attacked. Lastly, we propose a complete five stage model to relieve cybercrime. It begins with disinfecting the client s PC, usage of security amid transmission and closures with the information present in the cloud. Sticking to the proposed model, cybercrime may be controlled up to 90%. Instead of the five stage model, some companies frequently rely upon replicating the information. Introduction Cloud computing is a web based utility model. The user does not need to maintain any infrastructure that is to be managed by the provider that is cloud provider. The cloud provides different solutions for the software, platform oriented and the infrastructure. There are three types of services offered which are classified as (IaaS) Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). With the incorporation of a wide variety of testing techniques and tools, such as the PCSS, SAC, computerized neurocognitive battery and much more, this type of baseline testing is able to examine and cover a wide basis of neurological deficits that an athlete may experience after the event of a concussion. In addition, in an area where one baseline testing lacks or has disadvantages in, another incorporated type of baseline testing can essentially make up for such incapacity, thus providing a more comprehensive evaluation of the athlete. Such thoughts are echoed in the research article, National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Athletic Trainers Concussion Management Practice Patterns, in which multifaceted testing is said to have each component resolves independently, deterring the overreliance on any individual assessment tool [that] may inappropriately either fail to identify the presence of a concussion or allow premature return to participation (Kelly et al). After ten recitations, we were assign a group project that demonstrated the knowledge we had gained throughout the entirety of the course. Although we had the option to choose from the following three detention circuits: a resistor thermistor voltage divider circuit, a phototransistor resistor voltage divider circuit, or a standard PC microphone driving the audioInput of the myDAQ, my group opted out towards the PC microphone detention circuit. Within the PC microphone detention circuit, the microphone should have been able to detect three different states of noise. The first state consists of the microphone detecting no noise, the second state consists of the microphone detecting the presence of some noise, and the third state consists of the microphone detecting a louder noise than usual. The Implementation of Hardware and Software For this project we used a smartphone and the myDAQ in order to make a detection circuit that could detect no noise, low noise, and high noise. We first connected the myDAQ to the computer and then plugged the myDaq with the smartphone, since the phone was the sound source.
