Essay on Boundaries and Contracts Within Counselling
To have good ethical practice within counselling it is important that there are boundaries and contracts
in place that are agreed to and understood by both the counsellor and the client. At the start of each
new counselling session it is important that a contract is set out between the client and counsellor. The
BACP states good practice involves clarfiying and agreeing to the rights and responsibilities of both
the counsellor and the client at appropriate points in their working relationship . Within the contract
such things as the type of counselling being offered, number of sessions, the frequency of sessions,
timing of sessions, length of sessions, payment and confidentiality should be discussed and agreed to
by both the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The counsellor is in their right to inform the counsellor that they can not keep the confidentiality on
the particluar piece of information been shared. It is important that the counsellor does not arrange to
meet the client outside of the counselling sessions and that both client and counsellor keeps to the
agreed appointment times. The counsellor is there to purely counsell the client and should by no
means become in involved in other aspects of the clients life for example offering to find out
something on behalf of the counsellor. It is important that once the costs/fees are agreed upon that the
counsellor does raise these costs or waive them for something in return. At the first counselling
session the counsellor should offer the client a set number of weeks that they maybe counselled and it
is important that the counsellor does not extend these without any clear reason to do so as this may
result in the client becoming dependant on the counsellor. The counsellor must on no terms exploit the
client in anyway and recieving or giving of gifts is not acceptable during the time the client is being
counselled. Before a counselling session starts it is important that the client understands
confidentiality. To be able to understand this the counsellor must explain to the client that anything

Fox Demon Research Paper
It is important to note that the story of the fox that is presented by Fee s father is very different from
the traditional telling of the story of the fox. Sohn, points out that in the original telling of the Korean
fox demon, the fox is always seen to have malevolent intentions, which involves poisoning emperors,
seducing men to their death, and killing young virgins (Sohn, 2011). In the traditional depiction, the
fox demon is the stuck on a journey to become human or ascend through the entrapment of male
human souls. Traditionally, the fox demon uses a jewel she places between her mouth and the mouth
of a male and rolls it between them. This process allows the fox demon to capture a soul that she can
utilize to ascend to the heavens. But ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lee points out a defining characteristic of the fox demon is the inability to have a healthy relationship
with a man. Lee refers to a modern retelling of the fox demon where the fox demon is given the
opportunity to have a relationship with a man, but the relationship ultimately fails when he swallows
her jewel (during sex) which destroys her. Lee argues the fox demon is a representation of female
sexuality is designed to uphold patriarchy by depicting female sexuality as monstrous and devouring,
and hence their fox women enact moral conflict in striving to subordinate their fox characteristics to
their desire to be human (Lee, 2011). On the other hand, Lady s Tammamo s marriage to her husband
represents a healthy relationship which renders female sexuality as a positive force, but this is
impossible in the traditional tale of the fox demon. In the traditional tale of the fox demon, the fox
demon is seen as a polluting force which can only consume young men. This framing of the traditional
fox demon is very similar to how queer people are depicted within much of history. Winnubst, a
scholar on Queer Theory, explains that queers have been depicted as sinthomosexuals, or folks who
show no interest in the future because of their inability to produce young. Because young people (the
Child) are the future, queers are then seen as not contributing to the future. They threaten the future in
their inability to create

How Technology Has Changed The Modern World
Robotics have been traced back thousands of years. Robot like machines were mentioned in ancient
legends as well as in classical mythology. Mechanical servants were said to work as handmaidens and
clay robots allegedly helped fight enemies. Hephaestus, Greek god of fire and metal craft, even had
robotic three legged tables that helped him around his workshop. But an ancient engineer named Yan
Shi is credited by many for building the first real automata, which meant self operating machine. This
was during the Zhou dynasty in around 1000 BCE/CE. In 350 BCE/CE a Greek mathematician and
philosopher named Archytas created a mechanical bird that was propelled by steam. The Pigeon could
fly more than 650 feet (200m), long before airplanes were invented.
During 1st century AD, Heron of Alexandria described other machines that would later be the
beginnings of modern robotics. He designed robotic clocks, kitchen appliances and coin operated
machines. Other early robot mechanisms were built simply for entertainment. Early engineers created
delightful moving mechanical puppets, musicians, and dancers.
The first modern robot is considered to be the radio controlled boat designed and built by inventor
Nikola Tesla and made public in 1898. A wireless transmitter made the boat move, turn, and flash its
lights. Even though robots were soon built using on the same basic principles as Tesla s boat, they
were not yet able to perform pre programmed tasks. Once that hurdle was

Nietzsche s Critique of Judeo-Christian Values
Nietzsche s critique of Judeo Christian values
As perhaps one of the most important pieces of work written by Nietzsche, On the Genealogy of
Morality contains some of his most complex and provocative thoughts on the nature of morality and
its origins. It is evident throughout his essays that Nietzsche has a profound discontent with modern
society and its values, a discontent that Nietzsche attempts to explain through a thorough critique of
the modern values that have stemmed from the rise of Judeo Christianity values that have shaped
today s civilization. In his analysis of concepts such as morality and guilt, he explores the history of
the deformation of the once noble and animalistic human society that succumbed to its death ... Show

Essentially, their intelligence became their weapon against the nobles. Nietzsche expresses this when
he states priests make the worst enemies...because they are the most powerless. Out of this
powerlessness, their hate swells into something huge and uncanny to a most intellectual and poisonous
level (17). Among all of the priestly caste, however, Nietzsche identifies the Jews to be the most
hateful, and characterizes them as being the most entrenched with priestly vengefulness (17). The
desire of the clerical caste to effect their revenge on the nobles in the form of a revaluation of the their
moral code was the embodiment of their ressentiment turning itself from thought and into action.
Nietzsche expresses this when he states The beginning of the slaves revolt in morality occurs when
ressentiment itself turns creative and gives birth to values: the ressentiment of those beings who,
denied the proper response of action, compensate for it only with imaginary revenge (20). Nietzsche
associates the slave revolt in morality with the priestly castes, namely the Jews , dedicated and
deliberate desire to implement their revenge through the creation and revaluation of morals, stating
with regard to the huge and incalculably disastrous initiative taken by the Jews with this most
fundamental of all declarations of war...the slaves revolt in morality begins with the Jews: a revolt
which has two thousand years of history behind it (17).

How Does Sherman Alexie Use Situational Irony
Reporting the effects of irony
According to Buzzfeed s 19 Most Interesting Facts of All Time, 315 entries in Webster s 1996
dictionary were misspelled. This is ironic because dictionaries should have the correct spelling of all
words. Even though Webster s dictionary did not misspell the words on purpose, it is ironic many
authors use irony in their stories to make them more interesting. The author used this idea of life being
ironic in these three short stories: Sherman Alexie s Because My Father Always Said He Was The
Only Indian Who Saw Jimi Hendrix Play The Star Spangled Banner At Woodstock, Flannery O
Conner s A Good Man Is Hard To Find, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez s A Very Old Man With
Enormous Wings: A Tale For Children. Even though all three short stories are written by different
authors, all three authors use situational irony to make the stories more interesting.
In the story Because My Father Always Said He Was The Only Indian Who Saw Jimi Hendrix Play
The Star Spangled Banner At Woodstock . by Sherman Alexie the author uses situational irony to
make this story more interesting. A fellow demonstrator holds a sign that is just barely visible over my
father s left shoulder. It reads MAKE LOVE NOT WAR. (Alexie 25) This is ironic because they are

Stereotypes In Professional Wrestling
Since its creation in 1980, World Wrestling Entertainment has been determined to shine a spotlight on
the sport of professional wrestling. Delivering up to eight hours of weekly programing and their own

Although the WWE product as a whole is immensely popular, it does not go without fault. While other
professional sports have succeeded in showcasing all genders and races in a positive light, the same
can not always be said about WWE. What separates the WWE from other professional sports in a
negative manner is the constant use of racial stereotypes, depiction of women in a degrading fashion,
and mediocre storytelling. There are plenty of factors that truly make a professional wrestler. Their

The Cells And The Cell Membrane
T1.
All species of fungi, plants and animals are formed from eukaryotic cells. The Eukaryote have a true
nucleus; their DNA is confined to a definite area within the cell enclosed by a Nuclear envelope.
Prokaryotes evolved before eukaryotic cells and their cells do not have a true nucleus. Prokaryote
DNA is not enclosed by a membrane.

These compartments allow the chemicals involved in a particular process in the cell, such as
photosynthesis or respiration to be kept separate from the rest of the cytoplasm. This cell structure and
high degree of internal organisation optimizes essential chemical reactions, and allows the processes
within the cell to function. The fluid that occupies the space between the organelles is called the
cytosol, a solution containing a complex mixture of enzymes, amino acids and waste materials.
T2. The cell surface plasma membrane covers the outside of a cell, and this is a double layered sheet
of phospholipid molecules interspersed with proteins. It separates the cell from the outside
environment; this protects the cell, and allows the import and export of selected chemicals.
1Phospholipds are the main component of cell membranes. They naturally form membranes in water
because they automatically arrange themselves into a bilayer that is almost impermeable to water and
to water soluble substances. The membrane keeps the cell contents in and other substances out. There
is however a need for selective transport into and out of a cell and the cell does this through membrane
proteins.
2 Membrane proteins act as hydrophilic pores, water filled channels that allow water soluble
substances to pass through. These pores are small and

Tennis Is On The Right Track By Giving Equal Prize Money
People pretend it doesn t exist they deny that after all these years racism isn t happening but it is still
happening and very much alive. Tennis prides itself on being innovators. People think tennis is on the
right track by giving equal prize money to both male and females and giving both genders equal
opportunity in television and media coverage but the fact remains that tennis wouldn t fully be there
until they take that one step and drop the racism. This may seem like an impossible task but with lots
of joint effort with the general public, fans and the people involved in the sport racism can be
decreased. Tennis is a predominantly white sport and with the success of the Williams sister s barriers
have begun to dissolve but it s still an issue that needs fixing.
Tennis has a long standing history that like many other sports has been around for a long time. There
is thin evidence to suggest that tennis has been around for thousands of years suggesting that the
Egyptians, Greeks and Romans had played it (Barzum). However, for many tennis is known to have
really begun in London in 1874 Major Walter C. Wingfield patented the game of tennis (Barzum).
That same year saw the tournament at Wimbledon be played for the first time but at this time it was
only men that were allowed to participate. Ten years later in 1884 women were finally able to
participate at Wimbledon (Barzum). Tennis 100 percent a white mans sport until 1968 the beginning

In fifteen years, he had not been seen or heard from. In the novel to To Kill a Mockingbird. the
character of Arthur Radley is as quite mysterious one. Being locked up in his house for the longest
time, you must think he d be a crazy by this point. But Arthur Radley is just misunderstood You never

anyway? Is he some how related to Tom Robinson? Got along with the wrong crowd, made some bad
decisions and ended up being locked up in his house for years and years. For resisting arrest, he was to
be sent away to state industrial school. It (the industrial school) was no prison and it was no disgrace.
Mr. Radley thought it was. (To Kill a Mockingbird, chapter 1, page, 10) He made a promise that his
son would not give any more trouble if he was released and the judge agreed. No one saw Arthur
Radley again for a whopping fifteen years At the age of thirty three now he had been claimed to have
stabbed his father with scissors, but when the police arrived he found him just sitting there cutting up

Pros And Cons Of Reducing Dry Land Salinity
3.2 Approaches for reducing dry land salinity As there are few methods for completely reversing dry
land salinity, this inquiry focused on sourcing ways of slowing and containing the spread of soil
salinity for government entities as well as encouraging farmers to rethink how to make their salt
affected land productive. Western Australia first released a Salinity Action plan in 1996 which detailed
the joint task between all stake holders including the government, farmers and the wider community,
to limit the progression of secondary salinity, recover and treat salt affected land and protect native
biodiversity, water quality and infrastructure (Water and Rivers Commission, 2000). However, simply
replanting perennials falls short of correcting secondary salinity as by the time land has been identified
as having high saline levels it takes decades or even centuries to establish mature deep rooted
perennials (Parliament of Australia, 2012). Several strategies have been implemented though to stop
the loss of productive farm land, such as fencing off grazing land, planting fodder plants, trees and salt
tolerant crops and the development of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, Western Australia must learn from the past as the predicted spread of secondary salinity is
estimated to reach 8.8 million hectares by 2050 (Parliament of Australia, 2004). Therefore this report
concludes that solving the salinity crisis can only be achieved by restoring balance to the groundwater
table. Based on the evidence provided in this report, rebalancing the groundwater table is achievable
by repurposing unproductive farming land by introducing saline agronomy; which includes planting
salt tolerant crops such as tall wheat grass, and saltbush, as well as inventive industries that can use
saline ground water from pumping (Parliament of Australia,

Discrimination In Race By Marc Aronson
Freedom from Discrimination
Today, India is a free country, but this country s history to freedom was not pleasant. Britain, a country
that occupied many territories, came to conquer India for its valuables. During this time, they treated
Indians poorly and stole all the goods of the country to trade. This rule continued for nearly two
hundred years, and India struggled to fight for freedom from 1857 to 1947. On August 15, 1947, India
finally gained its independence through the India Independence Act passed by the British House of
Common. The British House of Commons is the UK parliament that is part of the legislative branch.
The act stated that India would be divided into two dominions, India and Pakistan, thus granting
Pakistan independence on August 14 and Indian independence on August 15. Marc Aronson, in his
book Race, explores and examines the concept of race where the reasoning behind racial
discrimination can be seen. Aronson provides the four pillars of race, which show an ideology behind
racism that occurs universally. During the British rule in India, the British racially discriminated
Indians. As a result of the discrimination, Britain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Existence of God and the Meaning of Life Essay
Canadian author, W.O. Mitchell, is fascinated with the meaning of life. Whether this is a result of
growing up during the depression or simply indicative of Mitchell s deep philosophical thinking, this
theme constantly shows up in his work. In both his humorous drama, The Black Bonspiel of Wullie
MacCrimmon and the eloquent children s Canadian classic, Who has Seen the Wind, Mitchell tackles
the age old question with grace, humor, and care. Not only is Mitchell concerned with the minute
details of human existence, throughout his work, Mitchell constantly evokes a Canadian persona and

drama itself is set in Canada during a curling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mitchell used the land of his birthplace, Weyburn, Saskatchewan, to place an unknown small prairie
town on a literary map. Butala concludes her article by stating, for many western fans, he was
someone who had lived as they did, who remembered their childhoods for them ... the sights and
sounds and smells of spring on the prairie, bringing to conscious awareness their joy and great good
fortune in being Prairie people. Who has Seen the Wind has become a cultural coming of age story for
western Canadians. W.P. Kinsella argues that, Who has Seen the Wind is the counterpart of The
Catcher in the Rye. It s the quintessential novel of growing up on the Prairies (Shermata 40) and
believes that Mitchell deserved a Governor General s Award for his literature.
While Who has Seen the Wind is an account created with love for the prairies, The Black Bonspiel of
Wullie MacCrimmon is a well written, humorous account of a curling match, also indicative of
Canadian culture. Alan Dilworth, a director of the play, states, it is so archetypically Canadian. There
is something about this that s even more social in the act itself. The chief concern of the drama is one
of religion, leading to a fascinating dissonance between Presbyterians and Methodists. This issue
regards immigrants of Canada of varying ethnic groups. Wullie, the protagonist, is a Presbyterian, as

Comparing Descartes Meditations And Plato s The Cave
Philosophy can make your mind take many twists and turns before it finds the answer to a question.
Descartes Meditations and Plato s The Cave/divided line makes us think this way when they talk
about the role of images in philosophy. Descartes and Plato s ends are the same but their approach is
different. In the first meditation, Descartes talks about the senses and how he doubts everything in
order to build a stronger foundation for his knowledge. He wants to have knowledge which he has no
doubt over. Finding doubt for the basic principles of any concept will allow the concept to be proven
false, which will allow for the concept to be built back up on a better foundation without doubt
(Descartes 12). Most of what Descartes believes comes from the senses and he thinks that our senses
trick us. Descartes answer can be compared to his basket of apples analogy. If you have a basket of
apples and some of them have gone rotten, you throw out all the other apples so that they don t rot
either. After that, you go through each one and put back the apples that were not rotten (Aligam). This
is essentially his way of thinking about his beliefs. He keeps ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In the divided line, there are four sections. The Good is connected to the intellectual world and the
senses represent our visible world. There are four sections, two belonging to the intelligible world and
two belonging to the visible world. The intelligible world is full of knowledge and the visible world is
opinion. The first section contains images such as shadows and reflections. The second deals with us
seeing actual things. The third section is where the soul understands what it sees and the functionality
of the object. The fourth section is the most ideal level you want to ultimately reach (Divided Line).
Descartes, as you know, is totally against using the senses to build our knowledge but Plato uses the
senses as a ladder to reach complete

Graduation Speech On The Field Of Education Without Being...
In any society, a family is the corner stone of that society and the more efficient involvement it has in
the society s life the better and more hopeful results they will have. Although, most families in real life
work hard to provide and afford the best for their children and subordinates, sometimes life shocks
them back with unexpected unhappy circumstances, and these circumstances will probably last forever
if not treated well. Furthermore, families may fail to be happy in a certain circumstance. This situation
occurs when this family has a member on its board with special needs. However, the problem is not
having a person with special needs, but actually not to be able to deal with that special need kid
properly. Researches have reached to the conclusion that teachers enter in the field of education
without being prepared for working in partnership with parents (Epstein, 2001; Hiatt Michael, 2001).
Therefore, future teachers enroll in education with inappropriate background how to properly initiate a
proper relationship with parents, thus build bridges for after school communication.
Special education is a new field in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and people in general lack to the
knowledge how to express their feelings toward special needs kids; how to deal with them; and how
much involvement is required between the families of the children with special needs and specialists
and schools. As a result, Saudi families with special needs kids are facing tremendous

Federal Express ( Fedex )
Federal Express (FedEx), founded in 1971, handles countless packaging requests. In order for them to
remain competitive they customize their website FedEx.com to field questions received by customers
on a daily basis. FedEx has reduced costs by almost $2.00 per incoming call by using the website.
Customers are able to speak with a Customer Representative if questions cannot easily get answered
on the website. Using the FedEx website instead of the call center FedEx has saved an estimated 1.34
billion dollars a year.
FedEx has the latest technology offered. First, customers remain able to acquire instant updates on
their packages by visiting FedEx.com. Second, they can schedule pick ups at their convenience via the
website, and have emails sent to them showing some, or all updates occurring to their packages. Since
it is further cost effective using the website than calling a Representative the savings are passed on in
lower shipping costs. FedEx also offers a mobile application that, when downloaded to your
smartphone and can operate anywhere.
Another feature FedEx has is ESRI technology (esritv, 2009) to track packages; it is a Geographical
Mapping System that uses real time Technologies. For example, if a product that is shipping is time
critical, or Government sensitive material the ESRI system keeps FedEx up to date on where the
driver is. The driver also has a monitor that shows where the following destination is, distance to the

Is Robinson Crusoe AAdmirable Character Analysis
The Character of Robinson Crusoe Narrative: Robinson Crusoe, as a young and impulsive wanderer,
defied his parents and went to sea. After a series of storms, adventures, and investments Robinson
Crusoe is shipwrecked on an island by himself for 23 years before saving and enslaving a native
whom he named Friday, after four more years they are both rescued. Division: After reading the book
Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, the question was posed is Robinson Crusoe a likable or admirable
character? Some people say that Robinson Crusoe is an admirable character while others adamantly
state that he is no such thing. Proof: In my proofs I will show three compelling reasons while
Robinson Crusoe should not be considered an admirable character. before I state those reasons I think
it would be practical to define the term admirable. According to Oxford Dictionaries.com, Admirable
is defined as Arousing or deserving respect and approval. Robinson Crusoe was faithfully fickle,
constantly self centered, and repeatedly callous to others. None of these pronounced traits of Robinson
Crusoe could be described as admirable. Moving into my first proof Robinson Crusoe should not be
considered admirable because he is fickle Fickle: Robinson Crusoe shows his capricious temper in
two major ways; his Christian faith, and his contemplate of murdering the cannibals, Robinson Crusoe
Christian faith swung wildly between praise and thankfulness for the many times God has saved him
from storms, slavery, poverty, starvation and hostile Indians to deepest despair crying out to God way
he among all men was judged unfit to appear among the rest of his creation (paraphrased) and at the
first sign of danger, fear banished all religious hope (pg 154) and he forgot the many miracles already
provided for his safety and health. Another instance of his capricious nature was when he stumbled
upon the remains of a cannibal feast he was provoked into a rage and set about planning the murder of
these cannibals, yet many days later his anger cooled and he decided it was not his place to save the
victims nor murder the captors instead deciding he would only attack if they saw him and he must do
so in self defense. Yet the moment

The predictions of forecast back around in that time, at times, could have been helpful, other times
would not. Though the people had forecast predictions, they were often inaccurate. The forecasters, or
indication officers, claimed that their predictions were accurate 83.7 percent of the time for the
following day. The indication officers were not allowed to say certain things about the predicted
forecast, which often affected the communities negatively not only for this certain occasion but for
others, as well. For example, an officer could not even say the word tornado in any of their forecast
predictions. The coastal cities of the nation thought that they were immune to the disaster of a
hurricane, so forecasters would never mention a such a tragic storm in the predictions of the forecast.
On top of the believed immunity and forbidden words to be mentioned in forecasts, the method of
predictions was not at the best, either. Instead of relying on the physics of a storm and deeply studying
it, indication officers turned more to geometry and cartography, the science of drawing maps, to
predict where the storm will go. This did not leave the communities vulnerable for just this blizzard,
but for pretty much every storm that swept across the nation, as

clients will be paying with funds provided by government sources, we have decided it would be
appropriate to have an ethics program in place before we start offering services. A company must have
an effective ethics program to ensure that all employees understand its values and comply with the

The staff/employees of Oxfam influence the charity greatly and are the main reason as to why the
charity is successful. They provide the friendly customer service to those who decide to shop at the
Oxfam stores. Staff usually do work for free so this allows Oxfam to spend more on developing third
world countries, again this has an impressive influence.
Suppliers want steady orders and prompt payment, they also want to feel valued by the company that
they supply.
Suppliers are interested in supplying Tesco with goods because of the business they get from them and
the profit that they receive. They influence Tesco because if the suppliers go out of business then
Tesco will have to find new suppliers that may not offer the same high standards as the previous
supplier.
Suppliers/donators influence Oxfam greatly. Without the public supplying Oxfam shops with goods to
sell, the shops would fail and would not be able to raise money to support the charities work for third
world countries.
This may be a sole trader or partnership. In a company it would be the shareholders. A charity would

What Makes A One Stop Guide On The Landscape
A ONE STOP GUIDE ON HOW TO LANDSCAPE
It is of utmost certainty that people nowadays admire beautiful and incredibly structured gardens and
home fields and back yards. Not only is it applicable to home grounds and fields but it is also quite
possible to perform landscaping techniques on any outstretched field that you may have in mind.
To the uninitiated landscaping refers to any activity and process that directly alters and modifies
natural, abstract and the living elements alike of an outstretched area of land. That said, landscaping is
an artistic activity that requires highly trained expertise in horticulture.
For living features, it requires modification of the surrounding flora and fauna of the area of land and
such activities lead to growth and nurture of plants with the intention of creating a breathtaking
environment within the intended area undergoing landscaping. This is what is commonly referred to
gardening in simple terms.
Secondly, when it comes to the natural features, this entails making changes to the land s terrain,
elevation and the general landforms. Finally, the abstract features are the elements that relate to the
weather and the lighting conditions of the area of land undergoing landscaping.
The landscaping process need not be a humongous and an overwhelming exercise for it is easy to
manipulate and implement. It basically involves two crucial steps i.e. landscape design and the actual
landscape construction. The landscape design involves a series of

The Interpretation Of Woodrow Wilson
The interpretation of Woodrow Wilson (1913 21)
I have taken this from an external source to show the power of idealism, and how Woodrow was
perceived.
Wilson abandoned the imperialist policy and brought to the White House a new way of looking at
America s relations with the outside world. Wilson believed that the United States was the most
politically enlightened in a sense under god, he felt that people throughout the world had their right to
choose their own governments. Wilson was only protecting people rights to democracy.
Primary Source Analysis
6. Wilson Defends the Peace Treaty and League, 1919 (Indianapolis, Indiana September 4)
As I read in between the lines of the text it comes clear that U.S appears to be the Super country and
not only that, I believe that Woodrow Wilson is protecting the interest of countries by making them
sign a Treaty explaining them not allowed to go to war for no reason of any sort.
The text conveys the talk of economic boycott I believe what he was trying to convey was that anyone
who economically trades with a country that has started a war with a country but another country and
helps them with the economy, will be part of the country of war and will not be funded and also
isolated and cannot take their decision back.

about any member of league to act hostile or aggressive, is declared a matter of concern and if

what they wanted up for the taking, and took it, immediately forgetting and invalidating the pride and

Measles disease: Epidemiology
Measles is a very infectious viral disease caused by the measles virus, and it is most common in
children. Its main features include maculopapular rash, fever (more than 400 C), cough, coryza, and
conjunctivitis. The disease is highly contagious and airborne, spreading through droplets of the
secretions of the nose throat and mouth of an infected person. It develops in more than 90 percent of

predominately women s job, nursing, to find out if men really have a glass escalator when it comes to
advancing up to top positions and dissects the notion of horizontal segregation. The glass escalator

When interviewed about why they chose their specialization, men seemed aware of the gender
connotations of their job, while women rarely mentioned it as a factor. This is a direct cause of why
segregation across different areas of work is much more prevalent than segregation through the
administrative ranks. The name nurse often carries with it negative connotations in the eyes of males.
It is inherently feminine in its perception and plays a large role in scaring men away or causing them
concern about what others think and leading them into positions that are thought of as more manly.
Nursing is unique in the wide range of specializations that it offers, and that may play a part as to why
horizontal segregation is so widespread as opposed to vertical. Oftentimes males seek positions of
prestige and in nursing those desires may be filled by working in masculine roles as opposed to higher
ranking positions that would typically validate success in other professions. From the data gathered
and personal accounts reviewed, it seems that men chose positions thought of as more masculine
based primarily on fulfilling the conceptions of gender identity. Financial interests and personal
desires do have an effect, but it seems that sticking to the gender rules is the largest factor in
determining the careers of practicing male nurses. The data in this study is

Who Was To Blame The Titanic Essay
In the year 1912 a ship named Titanic set out on her first voyage, but she never made it back. The
word was that this ship was unsinkable but that was proven wrong when she capsized along an
iceberg. The ship had many people aboard; some like Ruth Elizabeth Becker survived while others
died trapped in the water. Thousands of individuals believe that the Titanic sank due to the large
iceberg that it hit, but that s not the major factor in why so many lives were lost that day. There were
many contributors (most of them being human selfishness and faults). The ship had many indications
of failure before even hitting the ice. They were warned multiple times by neighboring ships of
possible danger, passengers reacted terribly in the chaos taking the every man for themselves
approach, pride, the lower class were not seen as equals and therefore not prioritized, and the #1 cause
made by crew and passengers alike is ignorance. The crew had been warned about the icebergs in their
path but would not slow down for the sake of an image. The ship was barely filled with water when
the people had been first notified of the hit, hundreds could be saved with such a fast notice but
instead they locked a whole class of people in with the water too die. At one point ... Show more

All of these events could have been avoided if just one person on the ship would have just stopped and

the Titanic was a true show of humanity s general disregard for anything but their own livelihood and
image when in a disaster. Yes, there were passengers who sacrificed their lives for others and crew
members who most likely felt uneasy after hearing the warnings from the intercom; but there was also
1,503 lives lost that could ve been

  • 2. Essay on Boundaries and Contracts Within Counselling To have good ethical practice within counselling it is important that there are boundaries and contracts in place that are agreed to and understood by both the counsellor and the client. At the start of each new counselling session it is important that a contract is set out between the client and counsellor. The BACP states good practice involves clarfiying and agreeing to the rights and responsibilities of both the counsellor and the client at appropriate points in their working relationship . Within the contract such things as the type of counselling being offered, number of sessions, the frequency of sessions, timing of sessions, length of sessions, payment and confidentiality should be discussed and agreed to by both the ... It is important that the counsellor does not arrange to meet the client outside of the counselling sessions and that both client and counsellor keeps to the agreed appointment times. The counsellor is there to purely counsell the client and should by no means become in involved in other aspects of the clients life for example offering to find out something on behalf of the counsellor. • 3. Fox Demon Research Paper It is important to note that the story of the fox that is presented by Fee s father is very different from the traditional telling of the story of the fox. Sohn, points out that in the original telling of the Korean fox demon, the fox is always seen to have malevolent intentions, which involves poisoning emperors, seducing men to their death, and killing young virgins (Sohn, 2011). In the traditional depiction, the fox demon is the stuck on a journey to become human or ascend through the entrapment of male human souls. Traditionally, the fox demon uses a jewel she places between her mouth and the mouth of a male and rolls it between them. This process allows the fox demon to capture a soul that she can utilize to ascend to the heavens. But ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lee points out a defining characteristic of the fox demon is the inability to have a healthy relationship with a man. Lee refers to a modern retelling of the fox demon where the fox demon is given the opportunity to have a relationship with a man, but the relationship ultimately fails when he swallows her jewel (during sex) which destroys her. Lee argues the fox demon is a representation of female sexuality is designed to uphold patriarchy by depicting female sexuality as monstrous and devouring, and hence their fox women enact moral conflict in striving to subordinate their fox characteristics to their desire to be human (Lee, 2011). On the other hand, Lady s Tammamo s marriage to her husband represents a healthy relationship which renders female sexuality as a positive force, but this is impossible in the traditional tale of the fox demon. In the traditional tale of the fox demon, the fox demon is seen as a polluting force which can only consume young men. This framing of the traditional fox demon is very similar to how queer people are depicted within much of history. Winnubst, a scholar on Queer Theory, explains that queers have been depicted as sinthomosexuals, or folks who show no interest in the future because of their inability to produce young. • 4. How Technology Has Changed The Modern World Robotics have been traced back thousands of years. Robot like machines were mentioned in ancient legends as well as in classical mythology. Mechanical servants were said to work as handmaidens and clay robots allegedly helped fight enemies. Hephaestus, Greek god of fire and metal craft, even had robotic three legged tables that helped him around his workshop. But an ancient engineer named Yan Shi is credited by many for building the first real automata, which meant self operating machine. This was during the Zhou dynasty in around 1000 BCE/CE. In 350 BCE/CE a Greek mathematician and philosopher named Archytas created a mechanical bird that was propelled by steam. The Pigeon could fly more than 650 feet (200m), long before airplanes were invented. During 1st century AD, Heron of Alexandria described other machines that would later be the beginnings of modern robotics. He designed robotic clocks, kitchen appliances and coin operated machines. Other early robot mechanisms were built simply for entertainment. Early engineers created delightful moving mechanical puppets, musicians, and dancers. The first modern robot is considered to be the radio controlled boat designed and built by inventor Nikola Tesla and made public in 1898. A wireless transmitter made the boat move, turn, and flash its lights. Even though robots were soon built using on the same basic principles as Tesla s boat, they were not yet able to perform pre programmed tasks. Once that hurdle was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Nietzsche expresses this when he states priests make the worst enemies...because they are the most powerless. Out of this powerlessness, their hate swells into something huge and uncanny to a most intellectual and poisonous level (17). Among all of the priestly caste, however, Nietzsche identifies the Jews to be the most hateful, and characterizes them as being the most entrenched with priestly vengefulness (17). The desire of the clerical caste to effect their revenge on the nobles in the form of a revaluation of the their moral code was the embodiment of their ressentiment turning itself from thought and into action. Nietzsche expresses this when he states The beginning of the slaves revolt in morality occurs when ressentiment itself turns creative and gives birth to values: the ressentiment of those beings who, denied the proper response of action, compensate for it only with imaginary revenge (20). Nietzsche associates the slave revolt in morality with the priestly castes, namely the Jews , dedicated and deliberate desire to implement their revenge through the creation and revaluation of morals, stating with regard to the huge and incalculably disastrous initiative taken by the Jews with this most fundamental of all declarations of war...the slaves revolt in morality begins with the Jews: a revolt which has two thousand years of history behind it (17). The membrane keeps the cell contents in and other substances out. Western Australia first released a Salinity Action plan in 1996 which detailed the joint task between all stake holders including the government, farmers and the wider community, to limit the progression of secondary salinity, recover and treat salt affected land and protect native biodiversity, water quality and infrastructure (Water and Rivers Commission, 2000). However, simply replanting perennials falls short of correcting secondary salinity as by the time land has been identified as having high saline levels it takes decades or even centuries to establish mature deep rooted perennials (Parliament of Australia, 2012). • 12. Discrimination In Race By Marc Aronson Freedom from Discrimination Today, India is a free country, but this country s history to freedom was not pleasant. Britain, a country that occupied many territories, came to conquer India for its valuables. During this time, they treated Indians poorly and stole all the goods of the country to trade. This rule continued for nearly two hundred years, and India struggled to fight for freedom from 1857 to 1947. On August 15, 1947, India finally gained its independence through the India Independence Act passed by the British House of Common. The British House of Commons is the UK parliament that is part of the legislative branch. The act stated that India would be divided into two dominions, India and Pakistan, thus granting Pakistan independence on August 14 and Indian independence on August 15. Marc Aronson, in his book Race, explores and examines the concept of race where the reasoning behind racial discrimination can be seen. Descartes Meditations and Plato s The Cave/divided line makes us think this way when they talk about the role of images in philosophy. Descartes and Plato s ends are the same but their approach is different. In the first meditation, Descartes talks about the senses and how he doubts everything in order to build a stronger foundation for his knowledge. He wants to have knowledge which he has no doubt over. Finding doubt for the basic principles of any concept will allow the concept to be proven false, which will allow for the concept to be built back up on a better foundation without doubt (Descartes 12). Most of what Descartes believes comes from the senses and he thinks that our senses trick us. Descartes answer can be compared to his basket of apples analogy. If you have a basket of apples and some of them have gone rotten, you throw out all the other apples so that they don t rot either. • 25. Is Robinson Crusoe AAdmirable Character Analysis The Character of Robinson Crusoe Narrative: Robinson Crusoe, as a young and impulsive wanderer, defied his parents and went to sea. After a series of storms, adventures, and investments Robinson Crusoe is shipwrecked on an island by himself for 23 years before saving and enslaving a native whom he named Friday, after four more years they are both rescued. Division: After reading the book Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, the question was posed is Robinson Crusoe a likable or admirable character? Some people say that Robinson Crusoe is an admirable character while others adamantly state that he is no such thing. Proof: In my proofs I will show three compelling reasons while Robinson Crusoe should not be considered an admirable character. before I state those reasons I think it would be practical to define the term admirable. According to Oxford Dictionaries.com, Admirable is defined as Arousing or deserving respect and approval. Robinson Crusoe was faithfully fickle, constantly self centered, and repeatedly callous to others. None of these pronounced traits of Robinson Crusoe could be described as admirable. Moving into my first proof Robinson Crusoe should not be considered admirable because he is fickle Fickle: Robinson Crusoe shows his capricious temper in two major ways; his Christian faith, and his contemplate of murdering the cannibals, Robinson Crusoe Christian faith swung wildly between praise and thankfulness for the many times God has saved him from storms, slavery, poverty, starvation and hostile Indians to deepest despair crying out to God way he among all men was judged unfit to appear among the rest of his creation (paraphrased) and at the first sign of danger, fear banished all religious hope (pg 154) and he forgot the many miracles already provided for his safety and health. Another instance of his capricious nature was when he stumbled upon the remains of a cannibal feast he was provoked into a rage and set about planning the murder of these cannibals, yet many days later his anger cooled and he decided it was not his place to save the victims nor murder the captors instead deciding he would only attack if they saw him and he must do so in self defense. Though the people had forecast predictions, they were often inaccurate. The forecasters, or indication officers, claimed that their predictions were accurate 83.7 percent of the time for the following day. The indication officers were not allowed to say certain things about the predicted forecast, which often affected the communities negatively not only for this certain occasion but for others, as well. For example, an officer could not even say the word tornado in any of their forecast predictions. The coastal cities of the nation thought that they were immune to the disaster of a hurricane, so forecasters would never mention a such a tragic storm in the predictions of the forecast. On top of the believed immunity and forbidden words to be mentioned in forecasts, the method of predictions was not at the best, either. Instead of relying on the physics of a storm and deeply studying it, indication officers turned more to geometry and cartography, the science of drawing maps, to predict where the storm will go. This did not leave the communities vulnerable for just this blizzard, but for pretty much every storm that swept across the nation, as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Not only is it applicable to home grounds and fields but it is also quite possible to perform landscaping techniques on any outstretched field that you may have in mind. To the uninitiated landscaping refers to any activity and process that directly alters and modifies natural, abstract and the living elements alike of an outstretched area of land. That said, landscaping is an artistic activity that requires highly trained expertise in horticulture. For living features, it requires modification of the surrounding flora and fauna of the area of land and such activities lead to growth and nurture of plants with the intention of creating a breathtaking environment within the intended area undergoing landscaping. This is what is commonly referred to gardening in simple terms. Secondly, when it comes to the natural features, this entails making changes to the land s terrain, elevation and the general landforms. Finally, the abstract features are the elements that relate to the weather and the lighting conditions of the area of land undergoing landscaping. The name nurse often carries with it negative connotations in the eyes of males. It is inherently feminine in its perception and plays a large role in scaring men away or causing them concern about what others think and leading them into positions that are thought of as more manly. Nursing is unique in the wide range of specializations that it offers, and that may play a part as to why horizontal segregation is so widespread as opposed to vertical. Oftentimes males seek positions of prestige and in nursing those desires may be filled by working in masculine roles as opposed to higher ranking positions that would typically validate success in other professions. From the data gathered and personal accounts reviewed, it seems that men chose positions thought of as more masculine based primarily on fulfilling the conceptions of gender identity.
