The Cry For God In Anne Bradstreet s Burning House
Worry ends when faith in God begins. Faith has been a part of history since the beginning of
time and has remained constant throughout life today. Anne Bradstreet s poem, Burning House ,
examines pure faith and the cry for God s love in a time of need. Alongside of the poem from
1666, the movie Courageous , produced by Stephen Kendrick, represents during a tragedy, it is
not always easy to keep a focused mind on the Lord, but the most significant way to be led
through a tough time, is to praise the Lord. Anne Bradstreet s poem and the movie Courageous ,
shows the relentless love from the Lord in a time of an aching heart. Anne Bradstreet s poem, Here

This deep tragedy in Adam s life left him in the realization of what kind of father he should be to
his son, and the path he is on with God. I will forgive those who have wronged. I will learn from
my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God... As for me
and my house, we will serve the Lord (Kendrick). In a desperate time of grief, Adam chooses
forgiveness to those in the wronging toward Adam and his family. There is no significance to
ignoring another s sins, because God forgives all who have sinned. After Adam s daughter
passed, God proved to Adam that repenting will only lead to a burdened life and heart, but
forgiveness of yourself and others will lead to the gates of heaven. I now believe that God
desires for every father to courageously step up and do whatever it takes to be involved in the
lives of his children...young lives and be a visual representation of the character of God, their
father in heaven (Kendrick). In a time of grief and heartache, it can be difficult to reveal the
reason God has brought a certain burden to life. Adam found his answer through God, which was
to live life as a follower of Jesus and to raise his children through the knowledge of the Lord while
being a visual representation of Him.
From religion in the 1600 s to religion today in pop culture, the love of faith and God has not
changed. Both the movie, and the poem

The Impact Of Domestic And Foreign Affairs On American...
The new nation of the United States of America had many matters to manage, both domestic and
foreign. Two political parties emerged to tackle these issues, the Federalists and the Democratic
Republicans. Domestic affairs of the United States divided the two emerging political parties more
at the time, and had a larger impact on American politics during the 1790 s than foreign affairs.
Domestic affairs shaped politics more so at the time because we had to establish a government
completely from scratch. We had to construct a constitution and decide on what powers to give and
keep from the government and how to interpret the document. There was two interpretations of
constitution at the time. Loose constructionist favored more broader powers to

The Concept of Chicanismo.
Chicanismo was a complex of nationalist strategies by which Chicano origins and
Histories, as well as present and future identities, were constructed and
Legitimized. Furthermore, Chicanismo provided a context for historical
reclamation of the self through the affirmation of Chicano cultural narratives while
resisting Anglo models of assimilation. By the late 1960 s, Chicanismo had
become in effect the central strategy in the process of self definition for the
Chicano community. The Chicanos suffered a great deal while trying to make a

It talks about a girl named Maria and how as she is growing up is limited to do things and suffers

their minds corrupted. To begin with machismo is shown throughout the whole story. The physical

accuracy within the figures and table. Since the numbers are so close, the graph for this will very

Adam And Eve, The Flood, Abraham And Esau
Human Situation Lecture Paper Rough Draft Although God makes seemingly unfair choices in
the cases of Adam and Eve, the flood, Abraham and Isaac, and Jacob and Esau, these unfair
decisions are still justified because they serve God s greater purpose of creating the Israelites. God
s first decision that is unfair but still just was his judgement of Adam and Eve. Although Eve was
the first to eat from the tree of knowledge, when she gave some to [Adam] she neither persuades
or forces him to eat as well. He actively made a decision to eat the fruit even though Godgave him
the direct message not to eat of [the tree] or touch of it (3.3). This would indicate that Adam is at
least somewhat responsible for his own part in disobeying God. Even though Adam does deserve
some punishment, he decides to shift all of the blame onto Eve who then shifts all of her blame
onto the serpent. It is unfair that the serpent is unable to defend himself at all but it... Show more

Joshua Bell
Art today is often portrayed as refined, enjoyable and exciting. The ornate or unique appearances
of museums and other cultural institutions, akin to majestic cathedrals and monuments, is a
public testament to what is often seen as society s value for art. However, beneath this
flamboyant façade, as Joshua Bell s social experiment demonstrates, art is still often grossly
underappreciated by society at large. The results of Bell s experiment as well as society s
perception of the definition of art show that society often judges art by its surroundings or exterior,
viewing art as an activity for the wealthy or those with means to enjoy art.

In January 2007, world renowned violinist Joshua Bell, with the outward appearance of a homeless
man, performed three pieces of music by Classical era composer Johannes Bach in a Washington,
D.C. metro station during the morning rush hour. During the one hour he performed, no one
recognized who he was; the vast majority of commuters, with the exception of children, quickly
ignored Bell, who was performing with a violin worth millions of dollars. This vast gulf between
expectation and reality, especially considering Bell had just packed a concert hall a few days
before, exemplified the very cosmetic perception many have toward art. As Bell s performance
demonstrated, people often judge art by its surroundings. Although Bell was performing a unique
piece of music, because he was not in a suit or on a stage, no one paid attention to him. To the
many passerby, Bell was just a homeless person performing what could not be considered art.
Although people profess great love for art and emphasize their love for art by erecting grand
monuments to culture or art, this attitude appears to be a mask hiding people s often very narrow

Biography Of Jeffrey Leonard Resected A Brain Tumor
On December 23, 2014, neurosurgeon Jeffrey Leonard resected a brain tumor in a ten year old girl
that was previously thought to be inoperable. Although it took two operations, due to modern
technology and education Dr. Leonard was successful. The girl fully recovered from surgery and
was awake and responsive the next morning. Modern surgeons knowledge of the human brainhas
evolved immensely through the ages. The first brain surgeons did not have anywhere near the
knowledge that we possess today, but it is because of them that the current treatment of
neurological problems is so advanced. Doctors can now perform advanced procedures such as the
resection of tumors and clipping of aneurysms all while a patient is numbed and unconscious when
previously treatment was a painful shot in the dark. Neurosurgeryhas evolved not only through
extensive research of anatomy and a change in religious perspective, but came hand in hand with
the development of anesthetics and the world s major advancements in radiology and imaging.
Neurosurgery is set apart from every other field because it pertains to the most important part of
the body: the brain. If a person s entire body works perfectly with the exclusion of the brain, that
person will still never be able to function normally. There is a wide variety of neurological defects
that can arise in any one of us including aneurysms, tumors, nerve damage, and strokes. (__) The

Why people believe in ghosts.
Lying in bed in the middle of the night while sleep eludes me, a noise breaks through the silence.
Oh my God! What was that!? Maybe it was just my imagination, or maybe it was just the house
settling. There it is again! I must be hearing things. I get cold and my body starts to shiver
uncontrollably. I peek to where the sound comes from and I could swear I see something through
the dark room; it appears even darker than the surrounding area. Oh my! I think it just moved. My
breathing becomes labored and I pull the covers over my head, trying to calm myself down while
making my brain work through what just happened. Was I dreaming? Or did I just see a ghost?

The belief in Doppelgangers and poltergeist has also crossed the ocean over to the U.S. Many
people still report poltergeist activity in their homes.
Another example of a cultures belief in ghosts is Ireland s and Scotland s (also known as the
Celt s) belief in Samhain or All Hallow s Eve. Samhain is a festival that is celebrated from
October 31st to November 2nd. Samhain is a time of the year that celebrates the last harvest
before the winter comes, and is dedicated to the Lord of the Dead (Guiley 19). The Celt s believe
that the dead will come out of their final resting place and mess with the crops. Also, it is
believed that communication with the dead is easier during Samhain. It is said that the veil that
separates the living from the dead is at its thinnest during this time. The Lord of the Dead holds
a sentencing of spirits, where if they were good they can exist in the form of a human, and if
they were bad, the form of an animal. Offerings of food and drink are made to the Lord of the
Dead so he would not be so severe in his sentencing. Many Celt s would dress up on Samhain to
confuse the spirits that were roaming around so they wouldn t stop, but continue to pass them by
(Guiley 19). This festival is still celebrated today as Halloween. Currently, Americans hold by
some of the old traditions by dressing up and making offerings by handing out candy. Many Celt s
still hold beliefs in the old ways. Celt s also believe in what is

Violent Video Games and Their Impact on Children
Violent Video Games and Their Impact on Children
Outline
Introduction
A. Thesis: Although there are some reports of such games terribly impacting children, most
research says that the violence in them is understood to be unrealistic, and thus not internalized and
regurgitated back through increased aggressiveness in behavior.
Reports Showing Violent Video Games Increase Aggression
Exposure to violent video games has been lined to increases in aggression.
Such reports have linked violent video games to both short and long term impacts
Reports Showing Little Impact on Children and Teens
However, more convincing evidence shows that it is only very young children who are affected,
and that older children and teens are relatively unaffected by the violence in their video games.
The reports which show stronger correlations are often flawed.
Even federal government research has failed to find a statistically significant correlation between
increased aggression and violence in video games.
Conclusion
Overall, violence in video games does not seem to impact children as negatively as many had
previously assumed. Violent Video Games and Their Impact on Children
How much is too much? When children are exposed to bloodshed and carnage in their favorite
video games is that too much for them to handle? There are definitely conflicting viewpoints on

Social Networking in Business
Abstract Businesses today are growing more aware of trends in social and business networking
to assist them in growing, developing products, services and the advertising to draw consumers
to them in ever increasing numbers. Social Networking in Business Many businesses are using
social networking to see what consumers are saying about products and what will likely be
purchased by people. Companies such as Pizza Hut, Papa John s and Sears are using networking
sites. Someone can become a fan of Papa John s on Facebook.com or follow them on Twitter.com

Many of the entrepreneurs on the sites help each other find tools for advertising, marketing lists
and items to help the business succeed. Even at times there is emotional support when a business
owner is having problems in their personal life. Others connected with Elygantthings.com try to
help each other cope. Support is very important when just starting a business and even if
someone has been in business a long time. Sometimes having discussions between other business
owners helps in getting past a difficult time whether related to business or personal difficulties.
Social networking is important to me for my future business because it will help in establishing a
concrete presence for my company. Starting and maintaining a professional blog on Twitter or
other places such as that will help to get the company name out there for people to see. Potential
customers will understand what my business encompasses; also types of services or products
readily available to them before and after a purchase. It would help me when dealing with shippers
and suppliers in running my business efficiently. In the scheme of things, I want to let people know
what I believe in and how the company will work with them on any interactions with them.

With all the definitions above it is still impossible to completely understand the situation of
Kaplan with his daughter s statement. The belief of Ari cancels out the statement abundantly;
thus, making it a paradox statement. The reason for this is due to the statement and the situation,
even though both of the statements are true, they cannot be true at the same time, in other words
it is self contradictory. It is such a great irony that the attention grabbing sentence of Kaplan s
daughter leads to no further discussion in the book; nonetheless, the same theories Kaplan uses
to explain the existence of Santa can too be useful to unlocking the paradoxical sentence. It is
not surprising to find a paradox statement or situation as the world itself it full of paradox.

The Characteristics Of The Seated Statue Of Hatshepsut
Seated Statue of Hatshepsut While examining the Seated Statue of Hatshepsut, initially, the first
thing one notices is the female figure of Egyptian pharaoh Hatshepsut. Although Hatshepsut is
being shown in a primarily male position, it does not take the attention away from her feminine
face and petite, graceful body. Over time, taking on the role of a pharaohchanged the perception the
world had of who Hatshepsutwas. She went from being portrayed as the beautiful women seen in
this artwork, to being depicted as an unrecognizable male figure. When comparing the Seated Statue
of Hatshepsut to other statues of Hatshepsut created overtime, one would notice a dramatic
difference. Despite the fact that she is shown wearing the ceremonial attire of an egyptian king,
(Museum Label Text, Seated Statue of Hatshepsut) there is still a very strong sense of the figure
being female. To further point out the female traits of Hatshepsut in this statue, one would notice
the rounded protruding chest that appears to be the chest of a female. On the other hand, in later
statues of Hatshepsut, one would notice that the chest is much different. Her chest went from being
round to being more square and flat, similar to those of a man. Another significant difference is the
size change between the statutes. In the seated statue of Hatshepsut, she is very petite with small
shoulders, thin arms, waist and legs. Hatshepsut is later depicted as having very wide, broad
shoulders and a muscular

The Glass Menagerie By F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Glass Menagerie is arguably the most symbolic and deep plays ever written. The Glass
Menagerie isn t just a story of Laura s disability, it has a deeper meaning behind it, and it can be
easily overlooked by mediocre minds. Although the story revolves around the Wingfield family,
Tennessee Williams throws in symbolism that corresponds with his childhood. In a way, he
found closure for the loss of his sister Rose through writing The Glass Menagerie. One of the
symbols is the play that holds a different meaning for each of the characters is the fire escape. As
the play evolves the fire escape brings out Laura s, Tom s, and Amanda s true desires. OR
The fire escape like the other symbols hold a deeper understanding of the characters, and although
Tennessee didn t admit that he wrote this story off of his own experiences as a child having dealt
with similar circumstances, it s obvious it was written about his childhood. So, the symbolism also
makes a deeper understanding of Tennessee himself and the kind of life he lived. As I said the fire
escape shows the desire of escape, the realization of danger within the Wingfield home, and the
characters true qualities are brought out by the fire escape.
For Laura, the fire escape is symbolic to show how interdependent she is on other people once she
slipped and fell. It signified that she can t even go outside alone without getting hurt. Laura always
needs someone to be with her. The real world is too much for Laura; she could

Kant s Theory Of Space And Time
In Kant s Prolegomena, he states that space and time are pure intuitions. Kant s assimilation of
space and time relates to his idea of contingency and how necessity is not derived from experience.
In this essay I will give the premises for Kant s statement in relation to space and time being pure
intuitions in order to make his argument salient. I will also disambiguate definitions that are
involved in the premise; and information on the basis of Kant s understanding of pure and
empirical intuitions regarding spaceand time. Then after a concise explanation of his argument, I
will object to it by reconstructing his argument and showing the skepticism of space and time
being from pure intuitions. Finally, I will give a possible response on behalf of Kant that ties his
concept of space and time existing in a form of pure intuitions. The premises in regards to Kant s
claim are; (1) If we omit from the empirical intuitions of bodies and their alternations...everything
empirical, belonging to sensation, space and time still remains. (Prolegomena 10, pg. 25).
(2) The difference between similar and equal things which are not congruent, cannot be made
intelligible by any concept, by only by the relation to the right and left hands, which immediately
refers to intuitions. (Prolegomena 13, pg. 28). The necessary terms to know in order to understand
this particular claim are; Empirical, which mean s derived from experience , and Pure which means

Descriptive Approaches In International Relations
From a conceptual point of view, discourse analysis in international relations has outlined a
common set of standards for the other fields of language and social sciences. Discourse is a
rather new field of analysis in the world of social research, and it does not yet have a precise and
compact theoretical body. Accordingly, discourse analysis has to rely on the practices and concepts
taken from other fields such as sociology, semantics, psychology, linguisticsetc. Due to its vast
source of knowledge, discourse has analytical richness in its field. In the study of international
relations, three types of discursive approaches are considered, which are descriptive approaches,
autonomous approaches, and functionalist approaches. Autonomous approaches have no
established relations with each other, but separately they provide a significant contribution to the
study of discourse (Obeng and Hartford). The descriptive analysis approaches are a set of
explanatory perspectives that are based on language and relevant fields. This method includes a
grammatical style, which is concerned with understanding how words and sentences are formed.
The descriptive method can be subdivided into three different practices of grammar and
linguistics, which are Morphology, phonology, and syntax. A descriptive methodology is a stylistic
approach to grammar that is mainly used in poetry. This approach aids discourse analysis by
specifying the suitability of a particular discourse to a specific

Expressive Arts Therapy within the Existential Framework Not much has been written about the
use of expressive arts in existential practice. Pat Allen, one of the founders of the open studio
approach to art therapy... decided to experiment with having people make art alongside each other
and be of service to each other during the process, hence the Open Studio Approach (Story, 2007).
This approach is based upon three elements; intention, attention and witness (Story, 2007). Story
continues to explain what a session would look like, an Open Studio session begins with art
making...participants are encouraged to focus their intention towards what they would like to
understand, change or accept about themselves (2007). This is the start of the participant
developing self awareness. Following this, is a time for each person in the group to sit before their
art... (participants) are encouraged to pay attention to their bodily sensations, judgments and
reactions (Story, 2007). The concept of dialoging with the art is often used at this stage. Allen then
had individuals write for a length of time about what they had experienced during their time sitting
with the art. As the studio participants gather as a group, individuals may share their writing if they
wish. The other participants are there to witness, to place no judgments and do not interrupt during
this time. This open studio idea was labeled as an art therapy process.

Advantages Of Contingency Theory
In the 1960s, the academic world that was engaged in management theory and research began to
adopt a new and simple orientation, which enabled significant advancement in the study of
organizational management. This new orientation is known today as the contingency approach.
This approach highlights the importance of situational influences on the managementof
organizations and questions the rationale of an optimal, single way to manage and organize

Factors For Consider When Pick An Employee Schedule Template
Title: Factors to Consider When Pick an Employee Schedule Template Description If you have
been given the responsibility of picking an Employee Schedule Template try considering certain
factors which are quite important. An Employee Schedule Template is considered one of the
greatest methods of starting on creating employee schedules in organizations possessing
employees above a certain staff strength or size. These templates match the staffing
requirements of an organization with job profiles and employee availability. They are also of
good use in allotting the number of work hours by making use of staff scheduling software.
They help in getting employee spreadsheets that can easily be reused as per requirements.
Therefore, they are of good help in saving effort and time. Templates in good design offer
flexibility allowing an individual to work in different timings and seasons. There are some
advantages that need to be considered when picking employee work schedule templates and they
are as follows: User Friendly The people who are into designing rosters and shifts are not experts.
They need to have a user friendly employee work schedule template that can be handles very
easily. This is because even a small mistake in this field might mean a huge loss. Therefore, it is
important to make the choice of a vendor offering elegant and simple solutions and the one which
has the willingness to spend some time in training the staff on using an employee work schedule
template.

The Theory Of The Work Of Art
Cubism was always an interpretation of objective reality, of a given motif. But Kandinsky was to
initiate was by contrast essentially and deliberately non objective. Kandinsky s own experience was
personal and even apocalyptic.
2 Kandinsky conclude non objective painting must be expressive, emotion or spiritual experience.
Non objective painting could form and colour, free form all representational aim, be articulated into
a language of symbolic discourse.
3.Art is a construction of concrete elements of form and colour which become expressive in the
process of synthesis or arrangement: the form of the work of art is in itself the content, and
whatever expressiveness there is in the work of art originates with the form.
4. The whole purpose of this alternative principle was to escape from the internal necessities of our
individual existence and to create a pure art, free from human tragedy , impersonal and universal.
5.The painter who was to develop to its logical extreme the objective concept of abstraction was
Piet Mondrian (or Mondriaan)
6. His (Mondrian s) style of pure abstraction evolves gradually and consistently form his patient
search for a reality behind the motif.
7.The journal De Stijl was a propogate their views on art. This became the name of the movement,
though Mondrian himself always preferred Nieuwe Beelding (neo Plasticism) as a more meaningful
word.

Sectional Issues And Its’ Impact On American Society....
Sectional Issues and Its Impact on American Society
Sectional issues have been dealt within American society since the colonial era, where various
groups would try to out resource one another in the hopes of not only survival but in hopes of
profit. However, in the sectional issues of 1844 1860, the conflicts presented continue to exist to
modern times while simultaneously changing the overall perspective of what it means to be an
American. The freedom of slaves was still in question by the end of the era of turmoil, even
though that was the key issue disputed. Issues over a balance of slaveholding states and abolition
states was also a continuous struggle. Both of these issues had endured far too much compromise
there needed to be a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This fiery excerpt serves as evidence that the sectional issues were indeed not cured by a
haphazard compromise. In fact, the wound that was a divided Union would never be cured by a
compromise. It was time for change. Although without proposing a solution, Senator Daniel
Webster also agreed it was time for change, at least in such a way that would create a balance
once again, but without tearing the Union apart. He did this by writing, I hear with pain and
anguish the word secession , especially when it falls from the lips of those who are eminently
patriotic, and known to the country, and known all over the world for their political services.
Secession! Peaceable secession! Sir, your eyes and mine are never destined to see that
miracle...I hold the idea of a separation of these states those that are free to form one government
and those that are slaveholding to form another as a moral impossibility. We could not separate
the states by any such line if we were to draw it. We could not sit down here today and draw a line
of separation that would satisfy any five men in the country. (Document 1). Again, the issue of
slavery and slaveholding states was weighing a massive burden on the nation, and compromises
such as the Compromise of 1850 were simply no longer going to work. There needed to be a
definitive solution, and unfortunately, that solution was found through war after the era of deep
rooted sectional disputes ended .

Dihybrid Cross Lab Report
Discussion (1226 words)
From dihybrid test crosses, map distances of 0.69 m.u. between purple and apterous, 5.71 m.u.
between black and purple, and 7.56 m.u. between black and apterous genes were determined. The
calculated map distances of 0.69 and 5.71 between more closely linked genes are consistent with
published distances of 0.7 and 6 map units respectively. Inconsistencies between published data
and calculated map distances in regards to larger map distances, such as between black and
apterous genes, are due to the nature of dihybrid test crosses. The greater distance between black
and apterous genes increases the likelihood of multiple crossovers. Double crossovers are
unaccounted for in dihybrid crosses, thus resulting in RF and map ... Show more content on

Thus, more accurate RF and map distances are generated from trihybrid crosses. Moreover, double
recombinants are useful in determining gene order in trihybrid crosses. The simultaneous
derivation of map distances and gene order from a single cross signify the efficiency of trihybrid
crosses.
Limitations of this method of gene mapping decrease accuracy of data (Hartwell et al. 2004). The
map generated from dihybrid crosses does not directly translate to the physical location of genes on
a chromosome. While gene order is maintained, map distances may not correlate with distances on
chromosomes. This is because DNA between genes does not always correspond with map units,
and due to multiple crossovers which are unaccounted for in trihybrid crosses. This increases
inaccuracy of data, especially between more separated genes. Further, the 50% RF limit leads to
less detailed measurements of distances on chromosomes. As recombination does not occur more
than 50% of the time, genes further apart on chromosomes cannot be accurately mapped. However,
a more accurate map can be established through adding smaller distances.
Emerging techniques facilitate genetic mapping in humans (Altshuler et al. 2008). Genome wide
association studies through mapping single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are useful in
identifying loci associated with disease susceptibility. SNPs are common genetic variations which

The Crying Of Lot 49
Trystero and the world around Oedipa are only simulations due to the fact that they have become
so layered with hyperrealism and even more simulations with all the characters Oedipa meets. She
is convinced that she is either uncovering a powerful conspiracy or she is going insane, but willing
to go wherever her investigation leads her in order to find meaning and truthbehind it anyway.
However, for Baudrillard, ...it is dangerous to unmask images, since they dissimulate that fact that
there is nothing behind them (Baudrillard 169). In other words, in Oedipa s quest to unmask the
clues she finds, they are all simulations based upon other simulations without any truthful meaning
at their core.
The Crying of Lot 49 depicts these layers of simulation through the clues Oedipa finds that are
supposed to reveal the truth behind the word Tristero. Her first introduction to the word Tristero
comes from her encounter of the painting, Bordando el Manto Terrestre. The real life painting by
Spanish exile, Remedios Varo, which depicts women, embroidering a kind of tapestry which
spilled out the slit windows and into a void, seeking hopelessly to fill the void (Pynchon 11). A
further analysis is that she herself is one of these women in the painting, forever weaving the clues
and signs she receives, but ultimately attempting to fill an infinite void.
Next, Oedipa hears the word Trystero in a play called The Courier s Tragedy (Pynchon 49) Then
she sneaks backstage to find

The Golden State
California, nicknamed the Golden State, has attracted many an immigrant through the years. From
the migrations of peoples thousands of years ago that led to the establishment of the many Native
American tribes that populated the land, to the Spanish and Americans in later centuries, one
wonders what attracted all to the farthest frontier, the unsettled west coast. That is until you delve
deeper into what the land had to offer as an economic source. The year 1769 saw Gaspar de
Portola and Father Saint JunГpero Serra leading the first permanent European settlers to California.
Before the end of the century, missions were established along the coast and towns were
established, especially Los Angeles in 1781. The establishment of missions and towns began
economic growth based on agricultural production and Native American labor that would soon lead
to cities, ranches and local owners under Mexican occupation taking the same advantage to produce
locally until the United Statesbrought a wave of new settlement and industrial ideas that would
sweep local trade and production into a new era of transcontinental economic growth, transportation
and financial gains.
In 1542, Juan Cabrillo made his way up what the coast of what the Spanish called Alta California

Positive Reinforcement Techniques For Children With Odd...
Positive reinforcement occurs after a behavior is exhibited in order to insure the behavior will
continue. The following research studies used positive reinforcement treatment plans to increased
compliance behavior for children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder that exhibit stereotypical behavior. The results showed that by using
positive reinforcement techniques, children s disruptive behavior was reduced. Results showed that
the positive reinforcement procedures were very effective in various settings such as a school, in
home and clinical settings. This paper will discuss the positive reinforcement techniques used to
reduce disruptive behavior in children with ODD and ADHD. The purpose of the treatment
intervention is to encourage participants to be responsible by putting their toys away when told, by
using positive reinforcement. The goal is for participants to learn, how to exhibit good behavior.
Positive reinforcement techniques is used to reinforce appropriate behavior among participants
with ODD and ADHD. According to Barkley (1997), oppositional defiant disorderis categorized as
a pattern of aggressive defiance behavior that lasts for about six months. ODD ranges from
moderate non compliant behavior to total defiant behavior. Children diagnosed with ODD will
meet both non compliance and defiance criteria. A child who is diagnosed with defiance disorder

The purpose of this essay is to identify what happened when my ODA worked for a toxic

leaders vs. toxic leaders, how toxic leaders develop, and share personal experiences on how our

leader as recognized by those who are led. Good leaders add value, impart energy and maximize
potential. However, some leaders, by virtue of their personality and style consume unit energy. Even
high performing organizations can be run into the ground. Toxic leaders have a style that is so
destructive that they not only do not add value, they are a detriment to their organizations.

Theme Of Religion In The Iliad
Homer clearly and precisely depicts the religion and the ethics of the Achean and Trojan societies
in The Iliad. In The Iliad, the Greeks and Trojans struggled to adhere to the codes of religion and
ethics, of their society. The Iliad is an epic poem dedicated to the pursuit of honour and name
immortality through fame by humans who were inevitably mortal. During the time of the Trojan war
, religion played an important role in the societies. Sacrifice, prayer, and rituals were all equally
significant, and the superiority of the gods and the fates above humans was a standard of society.

Men showed physical greatness and honour in everything. In war time, they were to be great
soldiers; in peace time, great athletes. The Greeks promoted honour, bravery, courage, and nobility.
Throughout the Iliad, by Homer, one of the most important aspects of society was warfare. In fact,
not only were the ongoing wars at the center of the plot and action in the text, but warfare itself
was one of the strongest social forces detectable. For men who shun the warrior culture or for
some reason do not fully engage with it, they face being criticizism. Being a coward or declining
an opportunity to engage in war or battles in the society portrayed in the Iliad was one of the
worst possible ways for any male to be as it goes against much of what notions of masculinity is
defined by. Generally speaking, throughout the text there were a range of events and interactions
between characters that reveal the expectations of this masculine warrior culture and these
passages also reflect the importance of adhering to these societal expectations. In Greek culture, the
notions of masculinity and bravery, along with the idea of fatalism (in terms of how men will
eventually die, so they should be brave and fight with all their strength and power),shaped several
encounters and events in the text and defined several characters as either weak or

It brought with it deforestation, and large amounts of pollution, which have had a large impact on

This has led to the water supply becoming tainted with arsenic, and other toxic chemicals, which has
mutated the fish. It has also led to an increased number of cancer, and brain tumor patients in the
town of Fort Chipewyan, due to their exposure to these toxins. The Alberta government claims that
the tar sands development leaves the Athabasca Lake unaffected, but I don t believe that for a
minute. They say that any contamination found in the river comes from natural bitumen seeps. It is
very obvious from the number of cancer patients in Fort Chipewyan, and the deformed fish from
the lake that the tar sands is the cause. I believe that the tailings ponds used by the tar sands are
not properly lined, and that is leading to their toxic contents contaminating the river. The Dene land
was taken by the government for the development of the tar sands, without their consent. As such,
the law states that the Dene have the right to hunt, and fish, on that land. The main reason that
they hunt, and fish is for subsistence, as it is a traditional part of their way of life. Sadly, it will
be no point in hunting, and fishing because the prey will be far too dangerous to eat, due to its
exposure to toxic chemicals from the tar sands.

However, by the end of his life the Protectorate had the support of a narrow population.
Nevertheless, the Protectorate had various strengths and weaknesses.

The National Church was aimed at saving the people of England, it was able to guide and teach
people, thus reform manners and behaviour. In addition, the system of Triers and Ejectors set up
in 1654 was effective as local commissioners had the power to expel ministers of low standards.
But, this did not mean that form of worship was determined from the Church, each individual
congregation was able to worship in their own personal way. The Major Generals in 1657 did
advance godly reformation to a certain extent, as many districts did become godly, however this
did highly depend on the enthusiasm of the Major General, as demonstrated by Major General
Worsley in Lancashire, who was able to close over 200 alehouses. This suggests that systems of law
and order were enforced , so there was a deal of progress made .
Although there were disagreements over the army in politics, it is evident that the army were
successful in suppressing rebellions as reflected in the crushing of Penruddock s rising in 1655.

godliness and reduced the size and cost of the standing army. In addition, the Protectorate was

Malignant struma ovarii tumors are divided into three categories on the basis of histology. (17)
The first papillary type is the most common characterized by overlapping nuclei or ground glass
appearance. The second follicular type is characterized by vascular or capsular invasion (10).
The third type is follicular variant of papillary carcinoma. Metastasis is very rare in case of
malignant struma ovarii (5%) which follows the pattern of ovarian tumor. It can metastasize to
pelvic, para aortic lymph nodes, direct spread to omentum and peritoneal cavity and
hematologic spread to lung, bone, liver and brain (11, 12). There are a lot of difficulties in the

imaging studies are also nonspecific. Triple contrast CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis should

The Whig Interpretation Of History Essay
History may be examined and interpreted in many different ways. This is because there is little
evidence that had survived to go by in which historians have to use to study the past. Evidence,
written and made by the historical people themselves, include but are not limited to written
documents, such as books and letters, and material culture, as in art and architecture. Now, because
the original authors or artists are not alive to tell the story, historians have to examine the evidence
left behind to make an educated judgment on what had really happened in the past. This judgment
or argument is always incomplete and up for revision as more evidence is found as time passes by.
Although many conclusions can be generated from one piece of evidence, arguments can be biased,
leading to different, possibly incorrect, views of history. In his essay, The Whig Interpretation of
History, Herbert Butterfieldelaborates on the matter that many historians tend to write on the behalf
on a Protestant or Whig point of view when researching about history. The argument he has
provided in his essay states that the whig interpretation of history relates to the act of abstracting
[ideas and events] from their historical context and judging them apart from their context estimating
them and organizing the historical story by a system of direct reference to the present (Butterfield
30). To Butterfield, studying the past in the eyes of the present is one of the biggest errors a historian

Strategies to diagnose and troubleshoot such problems are usually conducted by having the
customer recall everything that he or she did before and after the problem occurred. This can help
narrow down what exactly the problem is. Asking questions about what exactly the customer is
trying to accomplish at the time can also help narrow down the problem. After discovering the
problem, the support person is able to research the solution and ask the customer to follow through
step by step as he or she instructs them how to complete the procedure to solve the problem. For
beginner and intermediate users, it is a good suggestion for the support person to give details and
lengthier explanations with each step so it is easier for the customer to understand and follow along
without any further problems. After fixing the problem, the support person should assist the
customer by teaching him or her how to complete the procedure correctly to avoid any further
errors, again by being more specific with the instructions for beginner and intermediate users. When
the problem is solved and fixed and the user is knowledgeable on how to complete the procedure
the next time without any help, the support person should assume the user does not know about the
help menu included in the program and its capabilities to assist them with errors.

grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. While the cabin across the river held my grandpa s
brother, his wife, kids, and grandkids.
Being not old enough to ski by myself, I was required to take a skiing class. For half the day we
skied, and then were in a daycare for the rest. It was AWFUL! The daycare part, not the skiing. A
girl there who was quite fond of stealing my toys and snacks still haunts my memories of that
place. She should know not to take a girls snack. The best part of that vacation was when we
went back the next year, and grabbed a brochure/map and there was a picture of me on it from the
year before. In the picture I was all bundled up in my coat and the scarf that my mom made for me,
and wearing oversized ski goggles that covered my whole face, and beside me was my ski
instructor. I WAS FAMOUS!
The next time that we were in Colorado, we went to Estes Park and rented a small house to stay
in for a week. The owners lived right next door and had a daughter who was about my age and had

The Psychology Of Alfred Adler Essay
Alfred Alder s experiences as a child with feelings of inferiority and weak physique drove his
theories of organ inferiority and idea that humans strive for superiority (Engler, 2014). Alder met
many obstacles in his childhood because of his health including a bone disease called rickets,
pneumonia at the age of four, and he was run over twice (Engler, 2014). Alder insisted that his
childhood was difficult and unhappy considering that his bone disease made him clumsy and
awkward (Engler, 2014). Adler s school teacher suggested he should be taken out of school, but he
later became a superior academic (Engler, 2014). In his adulthood, he established himself as a
practicing neurologist and psychiatrist (Engler, 2014.) Examining Adler s life... Show more content

The negative outcome that may occur is the organ inferiority leading the person to develop
possible neurotic disorders, while the positive path would be ideal compensation and lead to
optimal achievements. Every individual with an organ inferiority can choose to utilize their
strengths to complete goals or dramatize their lives by trying to achieve the impossible. Vaughan
(1927) mentions five characteristics in which one should examine organic imperfection which
are heredity, disease, definite stigmata, childish defects, and reflect anomalies. Heredity was
considered the aspect of the major role in inferiority. The concept of heredity corresponds with
Alder s first definition of organic inferiority, which is inherited damage. Definite stigmata are
abnormal features that should be looked at that suggests that the person has an inferior organ
(Vaughan 1927). The article gives the example of childish defects as lack of bladder control
(Vaughan, 1927). Reflect abnormalities whether they are absent or exaggerated show there is a
defective physiological mechanism (Vaughan, 1927). Alder s life is an example of compensation.
Alder had a bone disease that made him clumsy and awkward, thus he worked on developing his
intelligence rather than participating in sports. Alder stepped out of feelings of inferiority and
became a superior academic, and he also developed social interest and he felt that he fit in his group

  • 2. The Cry For God In Anne Bradstreet s Burning House Worry ends when faith in God begins. Faith has been a part of history since the beginning of time and has remained constant throughout life today. Anne Bradstreet s poem, Burning House , examines pure faith and the cry for God s love in a time of need. Alongside of the poem from 1666, the movie Courageous , produced by Stephen Kendrick, represents during a tragedy, it is not always easy to keep a focused mind on the Lord, but the most significant way to be led through a tough time, is to praise the Lord. Anne Bradstreet s poem and the movie Courageous , shows the relentless love from the Lord in a time of an aching heart. This deep tragedy in Adam s life left him in the realization of what kind of father he should be to his son, and the path he is on with God. I will forgive those who have wronged. I will learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God... As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Kendrick). In a desperate time of grief, Adam chooses forgiveness to those in the wronging toward Adam and his family. There is no significance to ignoring another s sins, because God forgives all who have sinned. After Adam s daughter passed, God proved to Adam that repenting will only lead to a burdened life and heart, but forgiveness of yourself and others will lead to the gates of heaven. I now believe that God desires for every father to courageously step up and do whatever it takes to be involved in the lives of his children...young lives and be a visual representation of the character of God, their father in heaven (Kendrick). In a time of grief and heartache, it can be difficult to reveal the reason God has brought a certain burden to life. Adam found his answer through God, which was to live life as a follower of Jesus and to raise his children through the knowledge of the Lord while being a visual representation of Him. Two political parties emerged to tackle these issues, the Federalists and the Democratic Republicans. Domestic affairs of the United States divided the two emerging political parties more at the time, and had a larger impact on American politics during the 1790 s than foreign affairs. Domestic affairs shaped politics more so at the time because we had to establish a government completely from scratch. We had to construct a constitution and decide on what powers to give and keep from the government and how to interpret the document. There was two interpretations of constitution at the time. Adam And Eve, The Flood, Abraham And Esau Human Situation Lecture Paper Rough Draft Although God makes seemingly unfair choices in the cases of Adam and Eve, the flood, Abraham and Isaac, and Jacob and Esau, these unfair decisions are still justified because they serve God s greater purpose of creating the Israelites. God s first decision that is unfair but still just was his judgement of Adam and Eve. Although Eve was the first to eat from the tree of knowledge, when she gave some to [Adam] she neither persuades or forces him to eat as well. He actively made a decision to eat the fruit even though Godgave him the direct message not to eat of [the tree] or touch of it (3.3). This would indicate that Adam is at least somewhat responsible for his own part in disobeying God. • 8. Joshua Bell Art today is often portrayed as refined, enjoyable and exciting. The ornate or unique appearances of museums and other cultural institutions, akin to majestic cathedrals and monuments, is a public testament to what is often seen as society s value for art. However, beneath this flamboyant faГ§ade, as Joshua Bell s social experiment demonstrates, art is still often grossly underappreciated by society at large. The results of Bell s experiment as well as society s perception of the definition of art show that society often judges art by its surroundings or exterior, viewing art as an activity for the wealthy or those with means to enjoy art. The distinct appearance of cultural institutions has often attested to the perceived value of art in society. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In January 2007, world renowned violinist Joshua Bell, with the outward appearance of a homeless man, performed three pieces of music by Classical era composer Johannes Bach in a Washington, D.C. metro station during the morning rush hour. During the one hour he performed, no one recognized who he was; the vast majority of commuters, with the exception of children, quickly ignored Bell, who was performing with a violin worth millions of dollars. This vast gulf between expectation and reality, especially considering Bell had just packed a concert hall a few days before, exemplified the very cosmetic perception many have toward art. As Bell s performance demonstrated, people often judge art by its surroundings. Although Bell was performing a unique piece of music, because he was not in a suit or on a stage, no one paid attention to him. To the many passerby, Bell was just a homeless person performing what could not be considered art. Although people profess great love for art and emphasize their love for art by erecting grand monuments to culture or art, this attitude appears to be a mask hiding people s often very narrow and skewed definition of ... Biography Of Jeffrey Leonard Resected A Brain Tumor On December 23, 2014, neurosurgeon Jeffrey Leonard resected a brain tumor in a ten year old girl that was previously thought to be inoperable. Although it took two operations, due to modern technology and education Dr. Leonard was successful. The girl fully recovered from surgery and was awake and responsive the next morning. Modern surgeons knowledge of the human brainhas evolved immensely through the ages. The first brain surgeons did not have anywhere near the knowledge that we possess today, but it is because of them that the current treatment of neurological problems is so advanced. Doctors can now perform advanced procedures such as the resection of tumors and clipping of aneurysms all while a patient is numbed and unconscious when previously treatment was a painful shot in the dark. Neurosurgeryhas evolved not only through extensive research of anatomy and a change in religious perspective, but came hand in hand with the development of anesthetics and the world s major advancements in radiology and imaging. Neurosurgery is set apart from every other field because it pertains to the most important part of the body: the brain. If a person s entire body works perfectly with the exclusion of the brain, that person will still never be able to function normally. Offerings of food and drink are made to the Lord of the Dead so he would not be so severe in his sentencing. Many Celt s would dress up on Samhain to confuse the spirits that were roaming around so they wouldn t stop, but continue to pass them by (Guiley 19). The Characteristics Of The Seated Statue Of Hatshepsut Seated Statue of Hatshepsut While examining the Seated Statue of Hatshepsut, initially, the first thing one notices is the female figure of Egyptian pharaoh Hatshepsut. Over time, taking on the role of a pharaohchanged the perception the world had of who Hatshepsutwas. She went from being portrayed as the beautiful women seen in this artwork, to being depicted as an unrecognizable male figure. When comparing the Seated Statue of Hatshepsut to other statues of Hatshepsut created overtime, one would notice a dramatic difference. Despite the fact that she is shown wearing the ceremonial attire of an egyptian king, (Museum Label Text, Seated Statue of Hatshepsut) there is still a very strong sense of the figure being female. To further point out the female traits of Hatshepsut in this statue, one would notice the rounded protruding chest that appears to be the chest of a female. On the other hand, in later statues of Hatshepsut, one would notice that the chest is much different. Her chest went from being round to being more square and flat, similar to those of a man. The Glass Menagerie isn t just a story of Laura s disability, it has a deeper meaning behind it, and it can be easily overlooked by mediocre minds. Although the story revolves around the Wingfield family, Tennessee Williams throws in symbolism that corresponds with his childhood. In a way, he found closure for the loss of his sister Rose through writing The Glass Menagerie. One of the symbols is the play that holds a different meaning for each of the characters is the fire escape. As the play evolves the fire escape brings out Laura s, Tom s, and Amanda s true desires. OR The fire escape like the other symbols hold a deeper understanding of the characters, and although Tennessee didn t admit that he wrote this story off of his own experiences as a child having dealt with similar circumstances, it s obvious it was written about his childhood. So, the symbolism also makes a deeper understanding of Tennessee himself and the kind of life he lived. As I said the fire escape shows the desire of escape, the realization of danger within the Wingfield home, and the characters true qualities are brought out by the fire escape. Descriptive Approaches In International Relations From a conceptual point of view, discourse analysis in international relations has outlined a common set of standards for the other fields of language and social sciences. Discourse is a rather new field of analysis in the world of social research, and it does not yet have a precise and compact theoretical body. Accordingly, discourse analysis has to rely on the practices and concepts taken from other fields such as sociology, semantics, psychology, linguisticsetc. Due to its vast source of knowledge, discourse has analytical richness in its field. In the study of international relations, three types of discursive approaches are considered, which are descriptive approaches, autonomous approaches, and functionalist approaches. Autonomous approaches have no established relations with each other, but separately they provide a significant contribution to the study of discourse (Obeng and Hartford). The descriptive analysis approaches are a set of explanatory perspectives that are based on language and relevant fields. This method includes a grammatical style, which is concerned with understanding how words and sentences are formed. The descriptive method can be subdivided into three different practices of grammar and linguistics, which are Morphology, phonology, and syntax. The calculated map distances of 0.69 and 5.71 between more closely linked genes are consistent with published distances of 0.7 and 6 map units respectively. Inconsistencies between published data and calculated map distances in regards to larger map distances, such as between black and apterous genes, are due to the nature of dihybrid test crosses. The greater distance between black and apterous genes increases the likelihood of multiple crossovers. Double crossovers are unaccounted for in dihybrid crosses, thus resulting in RF and map ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, more accurate RF and map distances are generated from trihybrid crosses. Moreover, double recombinants are useful in determining gene order in trihybrid crosses. The simultaneous derivation of map distances and gene order from a single cross signify the efficiency of trihybrid crosses. Limitations of this method of gene mapping decrease accuracy of data (Hartwell et al. 2004). The map generated from dihybrid crosses does not directly translate to the physical location of genes on a chromosome. While gene order is maintained, map distances may not correlate with distances on chromosomes. This is because DNA between genes does not always correspond with map units, and due to multiple crossovers which are unaccounted for in trihybrid crosses. This increases inaccuracy of data, especially between more separated genes. Further, the 50% RF limit leads to less detailed measurements of distances on chromosomes. As recombination does not occur more than 50% of the time, genes further apart on chromosomes cannot be accurately mapped. However, a more accurate map can be established through adding smaller distances. Emerging techniques facilitate genetic mapping in humans (Altshuler et al. 2008). From the migrations of peoples thousands of years ago that led to the establishment of the many Native American tribes that populated the land, to the Spanish and Americans in later centuries, one wonders what attracted all to the farthest frontier, the unsettled west coast. That is until you delve deeper into what the land had to offer as an economic source. The year 1769 saw Gaspar de Portola and Father Saint JunГpero Serra leading the first permanent European settlers to California. Before the end of the century, missions were established along the coast and towns were established, especially Los Angeles in 1781. The establishment of missions and towns began economic growth based on agricultural production and Native American labor that would soon lead to cities, ranches and local owners under Mexican occupation taking the same advantage to produce locally until the United Statesbrought a wave of new settlement and industrial ideas that would sweep local trade and production into a new era of transcontinental economic growth, transportation and financial gains. In The Iliad, the Greeks and Trojans struggled to adhere to the codes of religion and ethics, of their society. The Iliad is an epic poem dedicated to the pursuit of honour and name immortality through fame by humans who were inevitably mortal. During the time of the Trojan war , religion played an important role in the societies. Sacrifice, prayer, and rituals were all equally significant, and the superiority of the gods and the fates above humans was a standard of society. The Greeks promoted honour, bravery, courage, and nobility. Throughout the Iliad, by Homer, one of the most important aspects of society was warfare. In fact, not only were the ongoing wars at the center of the plot and action in the text, but warfare itself was one of the strongest social forces detectable. For men who shun the warrior culture or for some reason do not fully engage with it, they face being criticizism. Being a coward or declining an opportunity to engage in war or battles in the society portrayed in the Iliad was one of the worst possible ways for any male to be as it goes against much of what notions of masculinity is defined by. Generally speaking, throughout the text there were a range of events and interactions between characters that reveal the expectations of this masculine warrior culture and these passages also reflect the importance of adhering to these societal expectations. In Greek culture, the notions of masculinity and bravery, along with the idea of fatalism (in terms of how men will eventually die, so they should be brave and fight with all their strength and power),shaped several encounters and events in the text and defined several characters as either weak or ... Well, environmental stewardship is being responsible, with the way we treat the environment. We are going to talk about the Albertatar sands development, and about how they are not effectively protecting their environment. This has already led to negative effects in the surrounding areas. This has led to the water supply becoming tainted with arsenic, and other toxic chemicals, which has mutated the fish. It has also led to an increased number of cancer, and brain tumor patients in the town of Fort Chipewyan, due to their exposure to these toxins. The Alberta government claims that the tar sands development leaves the Athabasca Lake unaffected, but I don t believe that for a minute. They say that any contamination found in the river comes from natural bitumen seeps. It is very obvious from the number of cancer patients in Fort Chipewyan, and the deformed fish from the lake that the tar sands is the cause. I believe that the tailings ponds used by the tar sands are not properly lined, and that is leading to their toxic contents contaminating the river. The Dene land was taken by the government for the development of the tar sands, without their consent. As such, the law states that the Dene have the right to hunt, and fish, on that land. The main reason that they hunt, and fish is for subsistence, as it is a traditional part of their way of life. But, this did not mean that form of worship was determined from the Church, each individual congregation was able to worship in their own personal way. The Major Generals in 1657 did advance godly reformation to a certain extent, as many districts did become godly, however this did highly depend on the enthusiasm of the Major General, as demonstrated by Major General Worsley in Lancashire, who was able to close over 200 alehouses. The third type is follicular variant of papillary carcinoma. Metastasis is very rare in case of malignant struma ovarii (5%) which follows the pattern of ovarian tumor. It can metastasize to pelvic, para aortic lymph nodes, direct spread to omentum and peritoneal cavity and hematologic spread to lung, bone, liver and brain (11, 12). There are a lot of difficulties in the clinical diagnosis of struma ovarii due to the absence of specific diagnostic criteria. The imaging studies used in diagnosing struma ovarii are ultrasonogram, CT and MRI. The findings on imaging studies are also nonspecific. • 39. The Whig Interpretation Of History Essay History may be examined and interpreted in many different ways. This is because there is little evidence that had survived to go by in which historians have to use to study the past. Evidence, written and made by the historical people themselves, include but are not limited to written documents, such as books and letters, and material culture, as in art and architecture. Now, because the original authors or artists are not alive to tell the story, historians have to examine the evidence left behind to make an educated judgment on what had really happened in the past. This judgment or argument is always incomplete and up for revision as more evidence is found as time passes by. Although many conclusions can be generated from one piece of evidence, arguments can be biased, leading to different, possibly incorrect, views of history. In his essay, The Whig Interpretation of History, Herbert Butterfieldelaborates on the matter that many historians tend to write on the behalf on a Protestant or Whig point of view when researching about history. The argument he has provided in his essay states that the whig interpretation of history relates to the act of abstracting [ideas and events] from their historical context and judging them apart from their context estimating them and organizing the historical story by a system of direct reference to the present (Butterfield 30). To Butterfield, studying the past in the eyes of the present is one of the biggest errors a historian ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After discovering the problem, the support person is able to research the solution and ask the customer to follow through step by step as he or she instructs them how to complete the procedure to solve the problem. For beginner and intermediate users, it is a good suggestion for the support person to give details and lengthier explanations with each step so it is easier for the customer to understand and follow along without any further problems. After fixing the problem, the support person should assist the customer by teaching him or her how to complete the procedure correctly to avoid any further errors, again by being more specific with the instructions for beginner and intermediate users. The earliest memory that I have of Colorado takes place at the age of maybe three or four years old, and we went there two years in a row on a skiing trip at the Monarch Mountain Ski Resort with my mom s side of the family. There was a bunch of people crammed into two cabins in the mountains. One cabin held me, my parents, my sister Matlyn, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. While the cabin across the river held my grandpa s brother, his wife, kids, and grandkids. Being not old enough to ski by myself, I was required to take a skiing class. For half the day we skied, and then were in a daycare for the rest. It was AWFUL! The daycare part, not the skiing. A girl there who was quite fond of stealing my toys and snacks still haunts my memories of that place. She should know not to take a girls snack. The best part of that vacation was when we went back the next year, and grabbed a brochure/map and there was a picture of me on it from the year before. In the picture I was all bundled up in my coat and the scarf that my mom made for me, and wearing oversized ski goggles that covered my whole face, and beside me was my ski instructor. I WAS FAMOUS! Vaughan (1927) mentions five characteristics in which one should examine organic imperfection which are heredity, disease, definite stigmata, childish defects, and reflect anomalies. Heredity was considered the aspect of the major role in inferiority. The concept of heredity corresponds with Alder s first definition of organic inferiority, which is inherited damage.
