A Short Note On Customer Relation Management ( Crm )...
Literature Review on How SalesForce can help in Decision Making
While Customer Relation Management (CRM) investments and initiatives are going high in number,
challenges pertaining to effective measures too have been raised . As a marketing information system,
it contributes in the improvement of market and customer knowledge. The aim of this research is to
observe to what extent Salesforce knowledge can help customers in their decision making.
Key words: CRM usage and benefits sales force performance customer decision making

There is necessity of aligning three critical levers to build a successful CRM: insight into customer
decision making, information about customers, and information processing capability. The sales
people pull up the customer data base in having the data about customer profile to adjust behavior and
offer before and during the sales call. Novel technical capabilities facilitate the adaptation of sales
presentations structure and content according to customers. Technology capacities allow the
adaptation of sales presentations structure and content according to customers. Also the way we use
CRM creates an impact on the information is delivered to customers in timely, accurate and adapted
manner.
We identify two critical components in the customer decision process: decision making assistance and
empathy. Keeping in mind the decision making assistance, the main concern for customers remains
reduction to ensure decision quality in risk monitoring. Customer uncertainty may be related to
different factors: the amount of information available, decision consequences forecast and trust in
decisions (Achrol and Stern 1988). The increase of salesperson knowledge (informing the customer),
personal attributes (proposed alternatives) and behaviors (customized information and assistance in
problem solving) through CRM is likely to guide customer in the decision

Workplace Observation Essay
In the workplace there are many different aspects of the organization. Some of the aspects or culture
of an organization are organizational diversity, dress and language, how communication flows, and
organizational policies. Below I will discuss several aspects of the company I work for and define
what the different cultures are.
How Communication Flows
As we know today there are many ways how to communicate. There is email, verbal, Internet,
intranet, etc? However, there is only two ways communications flows. There is upward
communication defined as ?communication from an employee to supervisor, supervisor to department
head, department head to vice president, and so on.? (Abbott 2005) The other flow is downward
communication, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In my organization all the different departments of the company contribute to the Policies manual. The
policy is reviewed yearly, and addendums are made. The IT dept which is the department I am in, add
to the policy?s about Internet Usage, Email usage, storage sizes of the mailboxes etc.. We clearly state
that anything, is done on the company?s computer is subject to monitoring. In many cases mangers
advise that they want a specific employee?s Internet monitored, or email monitored. We then report
back to the manger that requested it, and they take it up with Human Resources. Our rule is that a
county manager has to request it, and has to be good reasoning. Other departments, like the legal
counsel talk about arbitration, before going to any courts. The accounting dept talks about fraud, the
human resource department talks about attendance, and leave of absences, benefits etc? you get the
idea. As you can see this easily answers many question when a new employee comes on board.
Dress and Language
The Dress code is usually defined in the policy handbook to clearly state what is expected of the
employee. There is no standard set, however, in a business environment it?s expected that women and
men dress in a formal manner shirts, slacks, ties, etc? In a restaurant they may have a uniform, at the
mall it may be that stores clothing in

Analysis Of The Book The On Mortal Kombat By Kevin Wilson
In the stories that author Kevin Wilson wrote in Tunneling to the Center of the Earth, several
characters are ruled by fear. The fear that these characters have eventually winded up having a
solution or solve that helps resolve their fears. Fear is defined as: a feeling of agitation or anxiety
caused by the presence or imminence of danger. An example of fear in one of the stories is Leonard in
Blowing up on the Spot, because he fears death and it controls and restricts his life. Towards the end
of that story, Leonard finds his resolve of having that fear. The type of things that can lead to
resolutions of fear is epiphanies. In his short story, Mortal Kombat to boys was facing a fear like no
other. In his short story called Mortal Kombat the boys Scotty and Wynn are best friends and they both
have this fear of accepting they are falling for one another. In Kevin Wilsons short story, Mortal
Kombat the narrator says, It is simple and awkward at the same time, the way they proceed. There is
only the quickness of movement, the instinctive responses of the body. It feels like fighting; that is
what runs through both of their minds. It lasts all of two minutes, maybe less. (76). The kiss made
them realize they are maybe attracted to eachother and their feelings couldn t fight what they were
feeling anymore. This fear that each of them show towards the situation puts a restriction on their life
for awhile. The thoughts that are going thru scotty head while he is raking

In today s society, college is shown to be a necessity for the majority of the population. College has
become a priority in children s lives once they enter middle school. Many get to the point that college
is no longer a dream, just another part of their everyday duty. As you get to the point of attending to
college, one has so much to worry about. For example, Destination, room assignment, global

the overpricing of college, along with the other essentials that accompany the expense of attending
college. Being unable to afford college can become a problem within itself, resulting in failing

traditional farmers market food vendors offering produce as well as prepared and specialty foods,
meats, fish, breads and much more. It s brought by to New Rochelle so the hungry and the harried can

opportunities for community groups, free music, children s entertainment, educational cooking,

Sadly, without enough customers it will be difficult to maintain the market and recruit vendors or
accomplish any of their goals they will need. They will need to look for alternative ways to boost
attendance at the market from several target market segments. In order to increase the attendance at
the Grand Market, digital marketing, social media, video tactics, alternative marketing, and database
marketing will play huge parts to help accomplish this.

Examples Of Cross Cultural Conflict In The Tiger s Daughter
Introduction The Tiger s Daughter by Bharati Mukherjee is a realistic novel of the dual culture based
identity of the author who faces the mental duality due to the changes in the culture in the long left
India. She found difficult to adapt to the culture, customs, and traditions, which she depicts through
her female protagonists cultural crisis. The proposed study is an attempt to throw light on to the cross
cultural conflict of the 22 year old Tara when she revisits India after a seven year stay in the United
States. It highlights the cultural turmoil faced by Tara when she refuses to accept Calcutta as her home

Book Report On Charlie s Point Of View
Beginning I ve read a wild, but a mysterious story called Charlie s Point Of View . This book was
created and invented by a brilliant man named Richard Scrimger. This book is a fictional but a great
book. As I take you into the journey/wonders of this book, I ll tell you all about a blind boy solving a
mystery with his powerful senses. The boy who was blind was named as Charlie Fairmile. He has two
other friends who gave him big help and their names were Lewis and Bernadette.
This story mainly started on a busy day when Charlie s dad was late to work. Charlie had to go to
school and his dad had to take him to the school bus. They both rushed in the morning. Charlie s dad

The bandit and Charlie fell to the ground and hit their heads on the concrete. They both faint. After
Bernadette arrives, she tries to wake up Charlie, but there was no signal. She does it the second time
and Charlie awakes. At the same time of the scene, the police shows up. Charlie shows the bandit and
the money. The bandit was Mr. Floyd which was very obvious after Lewis tells his story about the
tombstone. Not only the story but also the countless times that he was late to school. His father had
also a last name of Floyd. That s why the name Floyd appeared on the tombstone.
Well, now that Charlie proved his dad s innocence, his dad was released and is happy with Charlie and
his friends. I rate this book a ten out of ten because this story shows specific details about the mystery
and the clues. In my opinion, this story was very mysterious and scary. I would recommend this book
to ages nine and plus because there are chapters in this book, that the reader would understand. This
story attracted me very much. I could not stop reading! This book will interest you just like it

Conclusion For Universal Health Care
Premise 1: A universal health care system would reduce health care costs.
Premise 2: Universal health care improves overall public health.
Premise 3: Universal health care would encourage patients to practice preventive medicine.
Premise 4: Healthcare would be affordable to all citizens if made universal.
Conclusion: Therefore, implementing a universal health care system in our society would greatly
benefit everyone.
Reducing Health Costs
With a universal health care system, the government would have control and run the system, therefore,
the cost of healthcare would be regulated. A universal health care system would be regulated by the
government, so costs overall would be reduced with a more monitored system to reduce inflated costs
for tests, hospital stays and procedures. (Ireland, 2017) When you regulate medical costs, the cost of
medical coverage, supplies, and prescriptions are more affordable for everyone.
Improved Overall Public Health
With universal healthcare being more affordable, everyone gets equal access to medical health care.
This can lead to a reduction in the number of medical issues suffered by our society. According to
Howard K. Koh, M.D., we can absolutely expect for overall public health to improve if we provide
quality, affordable health care coverage for all Americans. (Cohen, 2009) This means people would
miss less work and/or school. This also means that more people could be seen for some of the most
basic ailments such as colds,

Socrates Stand on Democracy
Reusi 1 Raye Reusi D. Ryals Writing 1 November 14, 2012 Socrates Stand on Democracy Having
emphasized upon me the advantages of democracy, I have always believed that it is the best system to
implement in a country. Ignoring the flaws and weaknesses of this type of system, I thought that the
benefits outweigh all costs. I assume that giving the power to the people is better than having one
person rule the state. However, in Plato s account on the life of his mentor Socrates, we are able to see
both sides of the spectrum: the pros and cons of democracy which are accounted in Plato s dialogues,
the Apology and the Crito. Socrates, having been accused of impiety, is brought to trial in front of the
jury of Athens. In his defense, he points ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet, he implies that the people would not favor anyone that opposes injustice which seems to be the
common dealings in politics. He believes that he would have died long ago (34), although this is not
his ultimate concern. What he truly cares about is not to do anything unjust or impious (32). Despite
his criticisms on politics, Socrates is essentially reminding the people, especially those in authority, to
serve a just and virtuous life. Outwardly stating the current situation of the government, he aims to
provide the people a portrait of the shallow kind of democracy that they have come to maintain.
Socrates seeks to prompt the majority to uphold the true sense of democracy, of fighting for justice
and living life accordingly. Furthermore, Socrates uses his dialectical approach with his friend Crito in
examining the contrast between the knowledge of the one and the pseudo knowledge of the many . He
uses an analogy of a man involved in physical activities, whom must listen to the advice of the true
expert in his training, rather than the opinions thrown by other people who barely know anything
about these activities. Anyone who places a higher regard to the thoughts of the majority, rather than
to the knowledge of the one who possess it, puts himself on greater harm (47). Socrates adds that if we
disobey the one who seeks to

My Favorite Year Essay
The focus of my essay is my favorite year. At 16, what could cause a girl to feel like this is the best
year of her life? There are three reasons that make this my best year. The first reason is because, for
the first time in my life, I felt comfortable in my body. The second reason is my mother gave me a
birthday party, that was more amazing than words. Lastly, this year was great because I started
driving. All of these, moments through this year, added up to be my best and favorite year. I had
always been overweight growing up, and I never felt comfortable in my own skin. I had been on
several diets, all of which ended either gaining, or losing half a pound. It would depress me because I
never thought I could do it. But, somewhere in the month of February, my mother started an extreme
diet and got me onboard. We were using her diabetic diet that her doctors gave her for her gestational
diabetes. The diet helped balance blood sugar to give you energy all day. The UCFC Medical Center
states modify your diet to help keep your blood sugar level in the normal range. After some time, I
didn t feel so exhausted all of the time, and I had so much energy I would say, I could climb a
mountain right now! By my birthday, which is in April, I had lost twelve pounds and I felt great! By
the end of spring, I had lost twenty six pounds. I learned so much about myself during that time. I

Nebobites Ethical Dilemma
Ethics Writing Assignment
Nebobites Ethical Dilemma
1. This case involves a small public traded company named Nebobites, which manufactures dog treats.
Jenny O., CPA, is the new Assistant Controller for the Nebobites company, and her job is to review
and audit the financial statements for the 2012 year. While reviewing the financial statements, Jenny
noticed the company s Allowance for Doubtful Accounts balance seemed significantly higher than in
the past. This increase in the Allowance account was due to the Bad Debt Expense estimation being
based off 3% of net credit sales instead of the prior years estimate of 1.5%. The increase in Bad Debts
expense as a result of the increase in estimate materially affected the 2012 earnings. ... Show more

Although she will eventually have to find a new job, this choice may save her from being in trouble
with the law and potentially boost her chances of finding a new job due to her discovery at Nebobites.
Another final option that I would see plausible in this situation would be to simply quit, if the
Controller did not want to change the estimation and swear on the financial statements. The legal risk
is too high in the case, and you do not want the downfall of Nebobites to be on your shoulders.
5. By deciding to go along with the inappropriate change in estimate, Jenny s job may be safe for the
time being, but in the long run, Jenny and the company may be audited in the future exploiting their
mistakes made in the 2012 financial statements. This could cause Jenny to be immediately terminated
when the mistakes were finally found, as well as the possibility of jail time after an investigation and
trial. This is morally and legally wrong because she knowingly goes against corporate policies and the
generally accepted accounting principles in order to reap the benefits.
By reporting the inappropriate practices to an outsider s attention, such as an external auditing firm,
she could save her job possibly for the time the company is being investigated, but may later be fired.
Although she will eventually have to find a new job, this choice may save her from being in trouble
with the law and potentially boost her chances of finding a new job due to her

The Negative Effects Of Television And Video Game Violence
On average, an American encounters approximately 200,000 violent acts before the age of eighteen.
However, these exposures do not influence an individual to exhibit violence. Concerns regarding
whether television and video game brutality has a negative effect on the public by promoting cruelty,
dates back to the 1950 s and is still prevalent today. Studies and research conducted on the issue are
unable to prove that the two variables have any correlation to each other. In fact, statistics demonstrate
how the amount of violent crimes has decreased significantly throughout time, despite the growing
video game popularity. Lastly, in society, people look for anything to transfer the blame, especially in
regards to a situation that may threaten an individual s community. As a matter of fact, by reviewing
the extensive research the conclusion was drawn stating, exposure has no effect on barbarity.
Therefore, television and video game ferocity does not have a negative effect on the population.
Studies and research conducted on the issue is irrelevant. Specifically, the studies conducted fail to
assess accurate information essential in the process of proving cause and effect. Not to mention,
previous studies that revealed a link between the two factors only focused on short term effects and
did not take other factors into account. In reality, children get riled up over images they may see and

To begin, much like space, the videos and books read and listened to, covered a lot of ground. What
these sources explained was simply how big space is and our microscopic place is inside such a
colossal surrounding of stars, galaxies, Nebulas, and so much more. To first get a reference point of
our closer neighbors, we were brought through an adventure in the countryside with Bill Nye to
acknowledge the unimaginable distances between the planets. For example, when earth was scaled to
the size of a baseball, it took over well over two miles to reach an absolutely tiny scale model of Pluto.
This is striking on it s own and even more staggering is the fact that Pluto is but a inconsequential

planet, our sun, our solar system, even the our Galaxy, The Milky Way, shrink out of sight into a

The Themes Of Animal Stereotypes In The Movie Zootopia
Zootopia
Zootopia (2016) is another spectacular hit from Disney. It is a story about an unlikely hero
accompanied by an even surprising partner who sets out on a quest to solve a investigation threatening
Zootopia. Zootopia explored various themes and used animals as characters to effectively display
important themes such as stereotypes, prejudice and racism all while keeping it a movie the whole
family can enjoy. Zootopia utilises animals to display important themes as mentioned above and its
negative effects on society. Stereotypes played a key role in the movie. It can be seen in various scenes
of the movie, Judy being victim of it quite a lot. Similarly, prejudice was also demonstrated in the
movie with many characters having very false judgements, but were eventually proven wrong.
Likewise, racism was shown, just not to a full extent. The movie shows us a good example of today s
society with the animals portraying us humans.
In Zootopia, many animal stereotypes are explored, most of them which were very false.
Through the movie, various stereotypes were demonstrated in Zootopia. It was a key part of the
movie, Judy and Nick were all victims of stereotypes as with many other animals. The stereotypes
were based on animal s appearances, shape and features. From start to finish, Judy Hopps was
stereotyped for being who she was, a rabbit. On her quest to become a cop, no one saw her as a
suitable cop and stereotyped her for being a rabbit. Everyone viewed her as a dumb bunny or a carrot
farmer bunny and didn t consider her as a cop. Animals also stereotyped her size, since she is so small
they think she can t handle herself. A good example can be seen on her first day of the work. When
Judy first entered to work, she met Clawhauser. Immediately, your eyes are drawn to Clawhauser, for
me, hes very salient. You have this cat who is much bigger in the centre of the image while Judy is
standing, barely visible to Clawhauser as she is so short. Your attention goes to clawhauser as you
notice how much bigger he is compared to Judy. Various angles are displayed during their inimate
conversation. As for the orientation, Judy is looking up towards Clawhauser, as he is barely visible

A Priority Based Compromise Fuzzy Goal Programming...
A Priority based Compromise Fuzzy Goal Programming Approach for Channel Allocation Problem
Abstract
Some companies produce and sell all of their own products through their own internal channels and
some use multiple external channels to distribute goods to consumers. Many authors have presented
mathematical model for channel allocation problem. Tsai et al (2008) presented a mixed integer fuzzy
goal programming model for channel allocation problem considering three different fuzzy goals. In
this paper we use the weighted root power mean method of aggregation for obtaining a priority based
solution of channel allocation problem where preferences are defined in terms of weights.
Keywords: Channel Allocation problem, Compromise fuzzy goal programming, multiobjective
optimization, weighted goal programming.
1. Introduction
Firms distribute their product through multiple distribution channels which include direct and indirect
channels. The channel in which distribution function is grouped by a supplier and one or more of
intermediaries, is known as an indirect channel. However, a direct channel distributes products from
producers to the users directly without introducing any intermediaries. Many reasons can be presented
for the firms to adopt multiple channel strategy because advances in information and manufacturing
technology have encouraged multiple channels. However, multiple channels for distribution of the
products in the market arise many challenges and one of them is the

Opioid Receptors
Most opioid drugs will elicit these analgesic effects through the activation of the opioid receptor
(McDonald Lambert, 2005). The currently available drugs that interact with opioid receptors include
morphine, codeine and naloxone. A
Opioid receptors are members of the G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) family, which consists of 7
transmembrane domains linked together by 3 extracellular and 3 intracellular loops (Trescot et al.,
2008). The three different classes of opioid receptors are: opioid receptor, opioid receptor and opioid
receptor, which are distributed throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems (Trescot et al.,
2008). opioid receptors are associated with analgesia, euphoria and physical dependence and are

The colonist were the pioneers of America, although our ancestors may have originated from Great
Britain it was us who endured the struggle, the loss, the fight it took to form a society here. When
Britain entered the Seven Year War they weren t thinking of the benefits it could bring the colonist. In
fact! Although we are apart of the British Empire; Britain didn t do as little as consult the colonist if
this would be a war of interest to us. It is only when convenient for Great Britain that the American
colonies are considered British.

Debussy Music
In the music Debussy composed, all instruments were called upon to share the innovations of his
creative art, but only the piano was truly capable of incorporating his ideas. For this there were two
reasons. First, the piano, being an instrument of harmony and of tonal blending rather than one of
simple melodic statement, was the natural medium for experimentation in a personal art built upon
harmony and tone blending. Second, the piano, in spite of all that had been accomplished for it by
several generations of exploiting virtuosi, was still capable of gradations of color and nuances of
accentuation that had been ignored or perhaps more correctly, used only sparingly by the high riding
masters of its sonorities.
As a pianist, his compositional blending had little of the symphonic essence of orchestral music. It
was said that he was endeavoring to make the piano not the piano. ... Show more content on

His teacher Marmontel is quoted as saying Debussy isn t very fond of the piano, but he loves music.
From this one may gather that even at the Conservatoire Debussy was aware of the limitations of the
instrument. There are descriptions of him launching himself at the piano, overdoing every effect, as
though moved by a deep hatred. On the other hand Fargue remembered his playing in the 1890s he
cradled it [the piano], talked softly to it, like a rider to his horse, a shepherd to his flock or a thresher
to his oxen. It is significant that on this occasion he was performing the uncompleted score of Pelleas.
Among the varied accounts of his playing, agreement is reached on only two points: that it was like
nobody else s, and that it had about it an orchestral quality. At all events, the two approaches outlined
above, at the extremes of boldness and refinement, both display and unwillingness to treat the piano as
it had been treated in the past, and a determination to subdue it to his

The Preventive Approach Of The First Policing System Essay
Since the emergence of the first policing systems, there have been many different types emerge
throughout different periods in history. The three main types of policing have been preventative,
reactive, and proactive. These were each created in their own times to help combat crime or to aid the
publics general safety. Each were suited to society s needs at the time, the technology, and the
diversity of the people. The preventative approach focuses on preventing future crime. To do this the
police use methods such as patrolling areas where crime rates are higher to deter criminals. The
reactive approach was more of a crime fighting mentality, where the focus was on arrest rates and
response times. Police officers were very detached from general society and the us vs them mentality
was strong within the force. The reactive policing style came about due to the technological
advancements being made in the field such as having patrol cars instead of foot patrols, thus, taking
the officers out of the public (Goff, 2017).
Proactive policing began to emerge in the 1970 s in a hope to rebuild the publics relationship and trust
in the police officers through the idea of policing by consent. This method of policing requires the
police to control crime through more positive methods and involving the community in the overall
prevention and deterrence of crime. For the purposes of this paper I will be focusing on the proactive
style of policing, and more specifically community policing

It Has Become Apparent That Throughout History Societies
It has become apparent that throughout history societies have formed as a means of improving
efficiency and quality of life. In that pursuit, ideology has become the main topic of discussion. The
long lasting argument of which societal structure and set of societal norms will reap the most benefits
continues today, specifically in the United States. However, it has not been until recently that Marxists
methods of analysis have become a significant source of discussion within the country. As the
exploration into Marxist ideology continues, it becomes apparent that the concepts themselves also

As displayed in the show, without these factors the fate of, not only the individual but, the group is at
stake. In this zombie infested world, the zombies themselves can be seen as a metaphor for the
Marxist criticism of capitalism. In a similar manner to that of which capitalism seeks profit for
individual s own sake, these zombies desperately pursue and starve for human flesh. The events that
occur in The Walking Dead can help illustrate the principles that Karl Marx and Marxism founded at
the time. Much like it is for the characters in the show, Marxism s ultimate priority is simply to
survive. However, much like the disease infesting the city of Atlanta, capitalism withholds a desire to
expand. It bases itself on risk, causing unnecessary obstacles for people to reach their end goal, which
should be to sustain themselves.
A major point made by Karl Marx seemed to be the abandonment of private property. For Rick s
surviving group the implementation of this concept is a must. In their zombie filled world it is
important that the survivors keep on the move and detach themselves from any useless items. The
group never settles, always residing in temporary homes like farmhouses, camps, shops, and prisons;
knowing that claiming private property could be a liability or futile.
Within the Communist Manifesto, Marx also encourages the abandonment of the family

Leading up to the Controversy
Leading up to the Controversy in the 70s and 80s An introduction to where it all Began
Before the abortion debates in the 70s to 80s, starting in the 1880s when the birth rate began to decline
discussions began to spark over topics regarding sexual health, contraception and a woman s right to
abortion. Then the topic of abortion became a public issue again in the 1920s 1930s after the first
world war, politicians started to talk about the controversy, doctors spoke out and women s groups
stated their liberal views, and news papers wrote columns on the beginning abortion controversy. At
this time New Zealand began to see a strong support for the anti abortion party from the Church,
politicians and doctors. Many people in the 1930s were against abortion as they were worried about
passing on there genes, and because of the widespread concern over the birth rate drop New Zealand
was experiencing at this time. This was a particular concern for Frederic King of the Plunket Society
and Doris Gordon of the Obstetrical Society which they voiced numerous times.

The Social Work Profession
In the social work profession, the primary goal is to aid and empower individuals or families who are
faced with oppression, vulnerable in society, and living in poverty (Code of Ethics, 2008). Social
workers strive to improve the welfare of those who need assistance meeting their daily basic essentials
for survival. According to Abraham Maslow s Hierarchy of Basic needs, a person requires five clusters
to make them an integrated and self motivated whole in society. The five clusters include:
physiological needs; security needs; social needs; self esteem needs; and self actualizing needs
(Aanstoos, 2014). The Code of Ethics is an important component that ensures that the profession is
held to its highest standard and to protect the community. In this paper, the intern was placed at the

The Development of DHL s Global Trading and Transportation...
Airline Industry Introduction The announcement today that DHL will be developing a global trading
and transportation hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) signals a broader trend of
freight forwarders, third party logistics (3PL) providers, and transportation services organizations to
seek greater economies of scale to reduce lag times in supply chains (Schmidberger, Bals, Hartmann,
Jahns, 2009). DHL is building a 180,000 square foot facility at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky
Airport to support large scale express shipment, better integrate with motor and rail carriers, and
increase efficiencies of 3rd party logistics services across the 220 nations DHL serves
(HeraldOnline.com, 2013). The Role of Global Hubs In Supply Chain and Logistics Services
Optimizing the performance of a given logistics network begins by gaining insights into the specific
attributes of a given hub and its related dependencies over time. Using constraint based modeling
many freight forwarders, 3rd party logistics providers and services providers who rely on multi modal
transportation strategies are using hubs to define optimal freight loads and mode based delivery
(Schmidberger, Bals, Hartmann, Jahns, 2009). By modeling a supply chain to these specific aspects,
including the use of hubs to optimize overall performance, global logistics providers including DHL

Nussbaum s Overlapping Consensus
Humans are notoriously fickle, stubborn beings. Because of this, it is difficult to categorize/measure
every humans viewpoint in one condensed set of capabilities. Nussbaum does an adequate job of
making her list of capabilities broad, but a select number of them are not as applicable as others.
While Nussbaum s list of core capabilities is decisively somewhat universally inclusive, I believe
Nussbaum s list of capabilities in its entirety fails to captivate the sense of universalness that Rawls s
overlapping consensus encompasses, and believe that it cannot be applied universally.
While a number of Nussbaum s core capabilities potentially applies to enough people to consider it
universal, others do not fit the bill quite as well, thus tainting the universalness of the entire bunch.

Michael H. Stone in The Anatomy of Evil states that there are several factors that influence a serial
killer s behavior. The factors that may influence behavior are presented in a nature versus nurture
model with occasional factors falling into a category of mixed and/or unknown origins (201). The
factors that Stone considers to pertain to an individual s natural environment include mental illness
that is coupled with psychosis, schizophrenia, manic depression, autism, and Aspergers Syndrome.
Also included in the list of natural factors are mental illnesses without psychosis such as ADD and
ADHD, alcoholism, epilepsy, and an inordinate sexual drive (201). Personality disorders are
considered to be inherent to an individual and are therefore considered to be a part of an individual s
natural environment; personality disorders include being antisocial, psychopathic, schizoid, sadistic,
paranoid, and/or impulsive aggressive (201). Stone identifies nurture factors as parental
physical/sexual/verbal abuse, parental abandonment and/or neglect, the loss of a parent, absence of a
father, separation and/or divorce of the parental unit before the child is 16, and brain disease or
damage (201). The factors that Stone considers to be attributed to mixed or unknown origins include

childhood, animal torture and arson,

Criticism Of The Electoral College
In the United States, an electoral college system is used to elect a president. It is vital in any
democratic country to allow a vote from the people to elect their representative leaders, especially in
an influential country like the United States. However, due to the process of the electoral college
system placed by the Framers, a candidate may win the popular vote but lose the electoral vote. Such
an event may upset certain members of our country as recently seen in our latest presidential election
of 2016 where candidate Hillary Clinton won the popular vote but lost the electoral vote to candidate
Donald Trump.
Using the 2016 presidential election as an example, we can see how the Electoral College can allow a
candidate to take the winner take all system towards the presidency. Another example of how a
candidate can win the election by winning the electoral vote and not the popular vote can be seen in
the presidential election of 2000, where candidate George W. Bush lost the popular vote to candidate
Al Gore but won the electoral vote, drawing criticism to the Electoral College, with some saying that
it has outlived the purpose for which it was created (Duquette, 2017). In this winner take all system,
more attention is focused towards electoral districts rather than a national platform. For example, if a
third party were to have a chance in winning an election in a district, the voter must take this fact into
consideration (Bowler, 1994). This makes it possible

Museums belong to the same architectural and art historical category as temples, churches, shrines and

Reasons Behind Head Shaving In The United States

reasons behind head shaving are plenty.
There are quite a few reasons the military in countries such as the United States, Russia and several
other countries have their soldiers shave their heads, not completely, but short. For example, on D Day
many allied soldiers shaved their heads so that Germans wouldn t have anything to grab onto during
close encounters. Often, when people see military men on the streets with little to no hair they

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CAPS) Analysis
There are over 20 million people in the world today suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder
(Lenz, Bruijn, Serman, N. S., Bailey, 2014). PTSD is an incredibly misunderstood disorder that has
many different types of assessments and forms of therapy made specifically to help those that are
suffering from it. Being able to know about and understand how and why these treatments work is a
major part in helping these 20 million people. To begin with, for people to fully comprehend what
happens to a person s brain when they are diagnosed with PTSD they have to know about the
assessments those people have to undergo once they are diagnosed. CAPS is an hour long assessment
in which the patient must go through a structured clinical interview (Bardhoshi, Erford, B. T., Duncan,
Dummett, Falco, Deferio, Kraft, 2016, p. 184). The CAPS assessment includes an analysis of 30
different symptoms and scores them on a scale from 0 4 to measure the intensity and the frequency of
those symptoms (Bardhoshi, et al., 2014). CAPS is one of the most frequently used assessments in

improve they must first have those memories activated in order for the fallacious attributions and

involves the patients to do assignments out of therapy to let them practice the different perspectives

There is email, verbal, Internet, intranet, etc? However, there is only two ways communications flows. The policy is reviewed yearly, and addendums are made. The IT dept which is the department I am in, add to the policy?s about Internet Usage, Email usage, storage sizes of the mailboxes etc.. We clearly state that anything, is done on the company?s computer is subject to monitoring. In many cases mangers advise that they want a specific employee?s Internet monitored, or email monitored. The accounting dept talks about fraud, the human resource department talks about attendance, and leave of absences, benefits etc? you get the idea. As you can see this easily answers many question when a new employee comes on board. The proposed study is an attempt to throw light on to the cross cultural conflict of the 22 year old Tara when she revisits India after a seven year stay in the United States. It highlights the cultural turmoil faced by Tara when she refuses to accept Calcutta as her home again. This study also attempts to portray how the novelist herself intimately projects her own self through the novel. The Tiger s Daughter and wife are about two different problems of expatriates. • 11. Conclusion For Universal Health Care Premise 1: A universal health care system would reduce health care costs. Premise 2: Universal health care improves overall public health. Premise 3: Universal health care would encourage patients to practice preventive medicine. Premise 4: Healthcare would be affordable to all citizens if made universal. Conclusion: Therefore, implementing a universal health care system in our society would greatly benefit everyone. Reducing Health Costs With a universal health care system, the government would have control and run the system, therefore, the cost of healthcare would be regulated. A universal health care system would be regulated by the government, so costs overall would be reduced with a more monitored system to reduce inflated costs for tests, hospital stays and procedures. (Ireland, 2017) When you regulate medical costs, the cost of medical coverage, supplies, and prescriptions are more affordable for everyone. Improved Overall Public Health With universal healthcare being more affordable, everyone gets equal access to medical health care. This can lead to a reduction in the number of medical issues suffered by our society. According to Howard K. Koh, M.D., we can absolutely expect for overall public health to improve if we provide quality, affordable health care coverage for all Americans. (Cohen, 2009) This means people would miss less work and/or school. This also means that more people could be seen for some of the most basic ailments such as colds, ... Ryals Writing 1 November 14, 2012 Socrates Stand on Democracy Having emphasized upon me the advantages of democracy, I have always believed that it is the best system to implement in a country. Ignoring the flaws and weaknesses of this type of system, I thought that the benefits outweigh all costs. I assume that giving the power to the people is better than having one person rule the state. However, in Plato s account on the life of his mentor Socrates, we are able to see both sides of the spectrum: the pros and cons of democracy which are accounted in Plato s dialogues, the Apology and the Crito. He believes that he would have died long ago (34), although this is not his ultimate concern. What he truly cares about is not to do anything unjust or impious (32). Despite his criticisms on politics, Socrates is essentially reminding the people, especially those in authority, to serve a just and virtuous life. Outwardly stating the current situation of the government, he aims to provide the people a portrait of the shallow kind of democracy that they have come to maintain. Socrates seeks to prompt the majority to uphold the true sense of democracy, of fighting for justice and living life accordingly. Furthermore, Socrates uses his dialectical approach with his friend Crito in examining the contrast between the knowledge of the one and the pseudo knowledge of the many . He uses an analogy of a man involved in physical activities, whom must listen to the advice of the true expert in his training, rather than the opinions thrown by other people who barely know anything about these activities. Anyone who places a higher regard to the thoughts of the majority, rather than to the knowledge of the one who possess it, puts himself on greater harm (47). There are three reasons that make this my best year. The first reason is because, for the first time in my life, I felt comfortable in my body. The second reason is my mother gave me a birthday party, that was more amazing than words. Lastly, this year was great because I started driving. All of these, moments through this year, added up to be my best and favorite year. I had always been overweight growing up, and I never felt comfortable in my own skin. I had been on several diets, all of which ended either gaining, or losing half a pound. It would depress me because I never thought I could do it. But, somewhere in the month of February, my mother started an extreme diet and got me onboard. We were using her diabetic diet that her doctors gave her for her gestational diabetes. The diet helped balance blood sugar to give you energy all day. The UCFC Medical Center states modify your diet to help keep your blood sugar level in the normal range. Jenny O., CPA, is the new Assistant Controller for the Nebobites company, and her job is to review and audit the financial statements for the 2012 year. While reviewing the financial statements, Jenny noticed the company s Allowance for Doubtful Accounts balance seemed significantly higher than in the past. The legal risk is too high in the case, and you do not want the downfall of Nebobites to be on your shoulders. 5. By deciding to go along with the inappropriate change in estimate, Jenny s job may be safe for the time being, but in the long run, Jenny and the company may be audited in the future exploiting their mistakes made in the 2012 financial statements. However, these exposures do not influence an individual to exhibit violence. Concerns regarding whether television and video game brutality has a negative effect on the public by promoting cruelty, dates back to the 1950 s and is still prevalent today. Studies and research conducted on the issue are unable to prove that the two variables have any correlation to each other. In fact, statistics demonstrate how the amount of violent crimes has decreased significantly throughout time, despite the growing video game popularity. Lastly, in society, people look for anything to transfer the blame, especially in regards to a situation that may threaten an individual s community. As a matter of fact, by reviewing the extensive research the conclusion was drawn stating, exposure has no effect on barbarity. Therefore, television and video game ferocity does not have a negative effect on the population. Studies and research conducted on the issue is irrelevant. • 19. The Themes Of Animal Stereotypes In The Movie Zootopia Zootopia Zootopia (2016) is another spectacular hit from Disney. It is a story about an unlikely hero accompanied by an even surprising partner who sets out on a quest to solve a investigation threatening Zootopia. Zootopia explored various themes and used animals as characters to effectively display important themes such as stereotypes, prejudice and racism all while keeping it a movie the whole family can enjoy. Zootopia utilises animals to display important themes as mentioned above and its negative effects on society. Stereotypes played a key role in the movie. It can be seen in various scenes of the movie, Judy being victim of it quite a lot. Similarly, prejudice was also demonstrated in the movie with many characters having very false judgements, but were eventually proven wrong. Likewise, racism was shown, just not to a full extent. The movie shows us a good example of today s society with the animals portraying us humans. In Zootopia, many animal stereotypes are explored, most of them which were very false. Through the movie, various stereotypes were demonstrated in Zootopia. It was a key part of the movie, Judy and Nick were all victims of stereotypes as with many other animals. The stereotypes were based on animal s appearances, shape and features. From start to finish, Judy Hopps was stereotyped for being who she was, a rabbit. On her quest to become a cop, no one saw her as a suitable cop and stereotyped her for being a rabbit. Everyone viewed her as a dumb bunny or a carrot farmer bunny and didn t consider her as a cop. Animals also stereotyped her size, since she is so small they think she can t handle herself. A good example can be seen on her first day of the work. When Judy first entered to work, she met Clawhauser. Immediately, your eyes are drawn to Clawhauser, for me, hes very salient. You have this cat who is much bigger in the centre of the image while Judy is standing, barely visible to Clawhauser as she is so short. Many authors have presented mathematical model for channel allocation problem. Tsai et al (2008) presented a mixed integer fuzzy goal programming model for channel allocation problem considering three different fuzzy goals. In this paper we use the weighted root power mean method of aggregation for obtaining a priority based solution of channel allocation problem where preferences are defined in terms of weights. Keywords: Channel Allocation problem, Compromise fuzzy goal programming, multiobjective optimization, weighted goal programming. 1. Introduction Firms distribute their product through multiple distribution channels which include direct and indirect channels. The channel in which distribution function is grouped by a supplier and one or more of intermediaries, is known as an indirect channel. However, a direct channel distributes products from producers to the users directly without introducing any intermediaries. Many reasons can be presented for the firms to adopt multiple channel strategy because advances in information and manufacturing technology have encouraged multiple channels. However, multiple channels for distribution of the products in the market arise many challenges and one of them is the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The currently available drugs that interact with opioid receptors include morphine, codeine and naloxone. A Opioid receptors are members of the G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) family, which consists of 7 transmembrane domains linked together by 3 extracellular and 3 intracellular loops (Trescot et al., 2008). The three different classes of opioid receptors are: opioid receptor, opioid receptor and opioid receptor, which are distributed throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems (Trescot et al., 2008). opioid receptors are associated with analgesia, euphoria and physical dependence and are predominately located in the brainstem and thalamus (Trescot et al., 2008). opioid receptors, on the other hand, are primarily found in limbic brain topography, brain stem and spinal cord, and are related to dysphoria and analgesia (Trescot et al., 2008). Although opioid receptor mechanisms are poorly understood, it has been indicated to also have psychomimetic effects (Trescot et al., 2008). For this there were two reasons. First, the piano, being an instrument of harmony and of tonal blending rather than one of simple melodic statement, was the natural medium for experimentation in a personal art built upon harmony and tone blending. Second, the piano, in spite of all that had been accomplished for it by several generations of exploiting virtuosi, was still capable of gradations of color and nuances of accentuation that had been ignored or perhaps more correctly, used only sparingly by the high riding masters of its sonorities. The Preventive Approach Of The First Policing System Essay Since the emergence of the first policing systems, there have been many different types emerge throughout different periods in history. The three main types of policing have been preventative, reactive, and proactive. These were each created in their own times to help combat crime or to aid the publics general safety. Each were suited to society s needs at the time, the technology, and the diversity of the people. The preventative approach focuses on preventing future crime. To do this the police use methods such as patrolling areas where crime rates are higher to deter criminals. The reactive approach was more of a crime fighting mentality, where the focus was on arrest rates and response times. Police officers were very detached from general society and the us vs them mentality was strong within the force. The reactive policing style came about due to the technological advancements being made in the field such as having patrol cars instead of foot patrols, thus, taking the officers out of the public (Goff, 2017). Proactive policing began to emerge in the 1970 s in a hope to rebuild the publics relationship and trust in the police officers through the idea of policing by consent. This method of policing requires the police to control crime through more positive methods and involving the community in the overall prevention and deterrence of crime. • 32. The Social Work Profession In the social work profession, the primary goal is to aid and empower individuals or families who are faced with oppression, vulnerable in society, and living in poverty (Code of Ethics, 2008). Social workers strive to improve the welfare of those who need assistance meeting their daily basic essentials for survival. According to Abraham Maslow s Hierarchy of Basic needs, a person requires five clusters to make them an integrated and self motivated whole in society. The five clusters include: physiological needs; security needs; social needs; self esteem needs; and self actualizing needs (Aanstoos, 2014). The Code of Ethics is an important component that ensures that the profession is held to its highest standard and to protect the community. • 33. The Development of DHL s Global Trading and Transportation... Airline Industry Introduction The announcement today that DHL will be developing a global trading and transportation hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) signals a broader trend of freight forwarders, third party logistics (3PL) providers, and transportation services organizations to seek greater economies of scale to reduce lag times in supply chains (Schmidberger, Bals, Hartmann, Jahns, 2009). DHL is building a 180,000 square foot facility at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport to support large scale express shipment, better integrate with motor and rail carriers, and increase efficiencies of 3rd party logistics services across the 220 nations DHL serves (HeraldOnline.com, 2013). The Role of Global Hubs In Supply Chain and Logistics Services Optimizing the performance of a given logistics network begins by gaining insights into the specific attributes of a given hub and its related dependencies over time. Using constraint based modeling many freight forwarders, 3rd party logistics providers and services providers who rely on multi modal transportation strategies are using hubs to define optimal freight loads and mode based delivery (Schmidberger, Bals, Hartmann, Jahns, 2009). By modeling a supply chain to these specific aspects, including the use of hubs to optimize overall performance, global logistics providers including DHL have the option of further fine tuning each aspect of their business model, using the aggregation and re routing ... • 34. Nussbaum s Overlapping Consensus Humans are notoriously fickle, stubborn beings. Because of this, it is difficult to categorize/measure every humans viewpoint in one condensed set of capabilities. Nussbaum does an adequate job of making her list of capabilities broad, but a select number of them are not as applicable as others. While Nussbaum s list of core capabilities is decisively somewhat universally inclusive, I believe Nussbaum s list of capabilities in its entirety fails to captivate the sense of universalness that Rawls s overlapping consensus encompasses, and believe that it cannot be applied universally. While a number of Nussbaum s core capabilities potentially applies to enough people to consider it universal, others do not fit the bill quite as well, thus tainting the universalness of the entire bunch. Cultural differences like that begin to reveal the cracks in the supposed universalness of the core capabilities. Senses, imagination, and thought are a very important capability to me especially, because I believe in the right to express oneself in creative ways and be able to think about deeper concepts and communicate with others about their thoughts, an act which is related to the fifth capability. Furthermore, the concept of comprehensive education that can be easily accessed by all is extremely necessary, in my mind, and allows for our collective society to move forward in a way the benefits everyone. Emotions, is also an equally necessary capability that should be included. Emotional expression may not be an important capability to some, but I believe that it is extremely important, especially when it allows people to develop their minds emotionally as opposed to just intellectually. The factors that may influence behavior are presented in a nature versus nurture model with occasional factors falling into a category of mixed and/or unknown origins (201). The factors that Stone considers to pertain to an individual s natural environment include mental illness that is coupled with psychosis, schizophrenia, manic depression, autism, and Aspergers Syndrome. Also included in the list of natural factors are mental illnesses without psychosis such as ADD and ADHD, alcoholism, epilepsy, and an inordinate sexual drive (201). Personality disorders are considered to be inherent to an individual and are therefore considered to be a part of an individual s natural environment; personality disorders include being antisocial, psychopathic, schizoid, sadistic, paranoid, and/or impulsive aggressive (201). Stone identifies nurture factors as parental physical/sexual/verbal abuse, parental abandonment and/or neglect, the loss of a parent, absence of a father, separation and/or divorce of the parental unit before the child is 16, and brain disease or damage (201). The factors that Stone considers to be attributed to mixed or unknown origins include paraphilia, juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, alcoholism, conduct disorders that are committed in childhood, animal torture and arson, ... • 36. Criticism Of The Electoral College In the United States, an electoral college system is used to elect a president. It is vital in any democratic country to allow a vote from the people to elect their representative leaders, especially in an influential country like the United States. However, due to the process of the electoral college system placed by the Framers, a candidate may win the popular vote but lose the electoral vote. Such an event may upset certain members of our country as recently seen in our latest presidential election of 2016 where candidate Hillary Clinton won the popular vote but lost the electoral vote to candidate Donald Trump. Using the 2016 presidential election as an example, we can see how the Electoral College can allow a candidate to take the winner take all system towards the presidency. Another example of how a candidate can win the election by winning the electoral vote and not the popular vote can be seen in the presidential election of 2000, where candidate George W. Bush lost the popular vote to candidate Al Gore but won the electoral vote, drawing criticism to the Electoral College, with some saying that it has outlived the purpose for which it was created (Duquette, 2017). In this winner take all system, more attention is focused towards electoral districts rather than a national platform. For example, if a third party were to have a chance in winning an election in a district, the voter must take this fact into consideration (Bowler, 1994). This makes it possible ... • 38. A Good System For A Long Time Back then, the all mighty gods removed salt from ocean waters whenever humans needed to use it. In return, the humans would constantly pray and sacrifice their meals to the gods. It was a good system for a long time, but then, humans started to take advantage of the god s kindness; they didn t pray as much and stopped sacrificing their meals. The gods weren t happy about that. Therefore, they stopped providing the fresh water to humans and left the ocean water salty. Sure the humans could boil the salt water, but it wasn t nearly fast enough for the growing population. No matter how much the humans begged for freshwater, Zeus would not budge. From what I get from this essay the universal survey museum reminds me of what most would call a traditional museum. Also in this essay Duncan and Wallach state: Museums belong to the same architectural and art historical category as temples, churches, shrines and certain types of palaces. This comparison is not simply a convenient metaphor: museums share fundamental characteristics with traditional ceremonial monuments. (2 3) I fine this statement to be true. The Art museum is a place to look at the world by ones self not bothered by the ones around. But what happens when people act against these ways. Or put things that should not be there. Then people ultimately change the why the space influence others. For example a modern day guards chair or a fan for circulation. These objects although necessary often distract from the space, especially if the space is an older museum like the Louvre. People would hardly notice if there wasn t such a hard contrasts between old and new. However people often ignore these items of comforted and ultimately change their final memory of a space to make it the most idealistic version of reality. Why should any normal people want to be brought out of their perfect idea of a place they ve always wanted to visit? Another thing that is unusual to see in an old museum like the Louvre is a guard of roller blades. I realize this is practical and is probably the easiest and fastest way to get around a place as ... Here in America it is common to see people with shaved heads but there are some cultures or tribes that don t allow their members to shave their head let alone any part of their body. But in cultures that do the reasons behind head shaving are plenty. There are quite a few reasons the military in countries such as the United States, Russia and several other countries have their soldiers shave their heads, not completely, but short. For example, on D Day many allied soldiers shaved their heads so that Germans wouldn t have anything to grab onto during close encounters. • 41. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CAPS) Analysis There are over 20 million people in the world today suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder (Lenz, Bruijn, Serman, N. S., Bailey, 2014). PTSD is an incredibly misunderstood disorder that has many different types of assessments and forms of therapy made specifically to help those that are suffering from it. Being able to know about and understand how and why these treatments work is a major part in helping these 20 million people. To begin with, for people to fully comprehend what happens to a person s brain when they are diagnosed with PTSD they have to know about the assessments those people have to undergo once they are diagnosed. CAPS is an hour long assessment in which the patient must go through a structured clinical interview (Bardhoshi, Erford, B. T., Duncan, Dummett, Falco, Deferio, Kraft, 2016, p. 184). The CAPS assessment includes an analysis of 30 different symptoms and scores them on a scale from 0 4 to measure the intensity and the frequency of those symptoms (Bardhoshi, et al., 2014). Cognitive Processing Therapy is a form of therapy that integrates aspects of traditional cognitive therapy with information processing theory (Lenz, et al., 2014, p. 360) (as cited in Resick et al., 2007; Resick Schnicke, 1993). CPT was created based on the presumption that for a person with PTSD to improve they must first have those memories activated in order for the fallacious attributions and expectations to be substituted with corrective information (Lenz, et al., 2014, p. 360). CPT often involves the patients to do assignments out of therapy to let them practice the different perspectives and action that they had learned in therapy (Lenz et al., 2014). CPT can also be paired with other types of therapy such as grief counseling if the patient needs it (Lenz et al., ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
